    Everything about PODS was outstanding, The communications from day one was timely and accurate. I got quick service when I had to change my initial order and everyone I dealt with, to include the individuals on the phone, were fantastic. Of note was the 5 star, over the top service and professionalism of the delivery driver, Uncle (Mark) who delivered and picked up our containers here in Blanco. He called and coordinated every delivery to our new home as it was important because I was staying over 1 hour away. He arrived on time, every time, and worked with me to place the PODs in the perfect place to facilitate access into the home for the contractors and inspectors. He had long days each time he worked with me as it entailed 3 separate trips each day, with each trip over an 1 hour each way. He still took the time to talk with me and provide information. What a true professional.

    Crooks. Trying to charge me for a move in Florida when I had sold that property and moved to New Jersey in Jan, 2024. But claim they did the pod delivery in Dec, 2024, about 11 months after I was gone and new owners were living there. Absolute FRAUD.

    I’M GUTTED! 😭😭. This is what the inside of the POD looked like when it came back from pods moving in storage to my home. PODS Moving & Storage. There was not one item in the pod that wasn’t completely infested with rat or mouse feces and urine. There were multiple nests that destroyed family items that will never be replaced. Some of you know that my husband passed away in April 2024. When I had the pod returned to me in October, I literally closed it and couldn’t open it again for months. So many irreplaceable items destroyed. More than half of the pod contents went to the dump. Not knowing how dangerous inhaling dust from mouse feces was, I was literally sick for a month with a cough and flu-like symptoms I couldn’t get rid of.

    The coldness of customer service in dealing with my claim was heartbreaking. Apparently, I denied the $15 a month insurance on the $350 monthly fee. I was paying for over 3 years for storage. This I find very hard to believe. But regardless beware. This is the condition that your household items will come back in. I was told to file a claim with my home insurance. I’m heartbroken and disgusted. Over $10,000 in storage fees with this company.

    I utilized Pods for moving my daughter’s belongings from Arizona to her new home in Tennessee. We had a 16-foot pod delivered to goodyear, Arizona, loaded it, and then had it transported to Tennessee, where we unloaded it. The space was perfect for our needs. This was actually the second time we used Pods, and I would definitely choose them again.

    I highly recommend Pods to friends and family, as they are more cost-efficient compared to renting a U-Haul. Unlike traditional truck rental services, you avoid the hassle and expense of driving long distances, staying in hotels, or worrying about fuel costs. From time to time, Pods even offers discounts, which is a nice bonus. We made an initial reservation, then we had to cancel it because of timing of closing on the house. We got a new date, and by the time the new date came, they'd already called us back and offered 20% off certain parts of the service.

    In terms of customer service, I found it quite satisfactory. However, the booking process was a bit lengthy, taking about 30 minutes, even though I knew exactly what I wanted. Despite this, I understand the necessity of going through the formal procedures, so I rate their customer service a 4 out of 5.

    The overall experience with Pods, including pricing, was excellent, earning a 5-star rating. The containers were new and in great condition, and the website was easy to navigate. I’m very pleased with Pods.

    Overall, I had an excellent experience with PODS. The delivery to my home in NM was on time, as promised. Unit was clean. The drop off in MA was as scheduled. The final pickup was uneventful. The pricing was as scheduled except for an unexpected charge because I had the unit picked up in NM a day later than originally scheduled. Had great experience with the call center folks. They were all very helpful and accommodating.. Only minor complaint was the number of emails I received. Too many. Overall, an excellent experience with PODS.

    I was downsizing AND moving into our family home to care for a family member. My place before was much larger and I had to move into our family a hurry. I used the POD to give me time to sort through my stuff when it came, to cull through the stuff already there, and to stage for donation the stuff I decided I could not use. Keeping the POD for two months allowed me to do this gradually, without becoming overwhelmed by clutter and boxes (since I am caring for an invalid, as well). What a blessing! The POD was clean, airtight and waterproof, and the outside looked sparkling and brand new. The driver was careful, knowledgeable, and experienced—both in delivery and with the pickup. The phone personnel very kind, efficient, and prompt. I heartily recommend them; (I have received no payment or incentive for this. My incentive is their great service!)

    Placed an order for 2 16 ft units to be delivered on 12/27 and picked up on 12/30. Paid up front. Called 12/24 to ask an approximate pick up time on 12/30. Was told they could only pick up one. The other one wouldn’t be picked up until 1/07 because they didn’t have any available storage for both pods. My house closed on 12/30 so the property they would leave my furniture on was no longer my property. So I had to cancel one pod and it’s caused my move to be a nightmare. I found a small pod from U-Haul which wasn’t big enough. Now I’ve had to rent a truck and a storage unit. I just want to sit down and cry but I can’t because I have to figure out how to move my household.

    I decided to use Pods for storage because it was convenient, though I wasn't particularly fond of their website and found their marketing a bit aggressive. I set everything up online. We opted for the largest pod available, but ended up needing two of them for our belongings, which we used for 2 months. Regarding pickup and delivery, despite our small driveway which required them to roll the pod onto it, everything went smoothly both when they delivered and picked it up.

    In terms of my overall experience, I would tell a friend that we were happy with Pods due to the convenience they offered. The drivers were very nice, which supported the quality of service. Price-wise, it was a bit expensive, but I believe you pay for the convenience they provide. I did, however, rate their website quite low as I wasn't satisfied with it.

(From CA it took 5 days, even going thru Ohio,, then to NC and still waited for POD... Price may be good but time to people is just as important. Need to adjust their timeline

    My opinion is to not use PODS for a long move. The box does not protect your belongings as a moving truck would. The group that packed my belongings did an excellent job of wrapping and securing everything. Yet there was shifting and I now have several pieces of damaged furniture. So now I have to deal with the insurance claim and find someone to do the repairs. Ordering the POD was easy. Unfortunately I ordered the wrong size. The local POD dealer was amazing! She got the wrong size removed and a larger one delivered the following day. Talk about customer service! I found the billing was too cumbersome and confusing. Whenever I called about it I was reminded this information was available online. Thanks for questioning my mental ability. Again if you you’re moving a short distance it will work. My trip was 1700 miles. That’s a lot of jostling of the contents.

    We rented 2 PODS of 16 feet size. Both PODS delivered on time and picked up on time. We able to pack all house items in those PODS without any difficulties. We had difficulties to open door of the second POD after dropped off in Round Rock, TX. I believed the driver might had shook contents than usual while dropping the PODS. Eventually with help of two strong men’s help open the door little bit then push. Move forward boxes back and open the door to empty the PODS. Overall, we are happy with service.

    Service itself was amazing. Drop off and pickup were exactly as they should be both on move out and move in days. The only issue found was contents shifting during transport, which lead to minor/slightly major damage of some furniture. Nothing was a total loss though.     I chose PODS for the convenience and the military discount they offered. The booking process was simple, mostly done online. They called to confirm, and I even had to adjust the schedule once, which was handled without any issues. We used a 16 ft container that they called a Podzilla, and everything went like clockwork. The container was dropped off, we loaded it, and they picked it up within about 48 hours, even in the challenging Colorado snowstorm. I was amazed they managed to retrieve it despite highway closures. The pod was brand new, which impressed me, and I've been telling my friends and family that PODS is the way to move.

    Updated on 01/05/2025: Nothing has gotten better. We received an e-mail that a customer support specialist will be helping us. It had no return e-mail address and no name of who our customer support specialist would be. My wife called the company and explained everything to them and how we went with their company because they said "We can deliver it anywhere in Wi." We live in Wisconsin. It's not like we are moving out of state. My wife received another e-mail saying that their customer support representative reviewed our case and decided that they can not help us. This e-mail we could not reply to and it did not give us the name of the customer support specialist that reviewed our case.

    So my wife called again. Every time she calls she just gets someone in a call center that can't help. But this time we found out that there is a recording of my wife when she was initially setting up the order and it literally has on it her asking if it can be delivered anywhere in Wisconsin. They told her yes. We then find out from this lady that there are only two POD places in Wisconsin. There is one in Milwaukee and one in Madison, Wi. She told us that we are outside of their delivery area. WHAT!!! No one has EVER told us that they had a delivery area. We were told they can deliver anywhere in Wisconsin. So here we sit with PODS unwilling to do anything to get our belongings to our new home.

    This is absolutely the worst company I have ever delt with as an adult. All of our kitchen stuff is in it. All of our furniture is in it. All of our beds. All of our dressers are in it. New home with nothing in it. This all started I believe the week before December the 18th. When we were closing on the house. I can't believe they have this audio recording of her initial hiring them. They say it was a pricing issue. Heck no!!!! It's a you won't deliver issue. We want our belongings. I will get my attorney and I will subpoena that recording and enter it in as evidence to the court. Also they have done this before.

    Original Review: We called PODS Company because we were selling our home and moving. But we did not have another home yet. My wife asked them "Do you deliver anywhere in Wi?" She was told while I was sitting right next to her so I could hear the conversation as well. The man with the PODS Company said "Yes and to all of the continental U.S." Now we bought a home and are ready for the POD to be delivered to our new home on 20 acres in Wisconsin. My wife was told "That address is outside of our delivery area." Our new home is right off of a Wisconsin state Highway. It's not like we are way back in the woods. From my internet research this is not the first time they have done this. I feel it's time for a class action lawsuit.

    The product was fine and as expected. The service was sketchy at best. For initial delivery, they provided a 3-hour service window & indicated the driver would call when on the way. They met the 3-hour window without ever calling. For pick-up it was unfortunately much worse. First, I called for pick-up on November 19th, hoping to have it removed prior to the end of the month (yes, the Thanksgiving holiday was a potential issue). But on the call they admitted that the local facilities were full & probably couldn't get it until Dec 10th (What if I had sold the house & was closing Nov 30th?) they would try to get it earlier if possible.

    On December 9th, I received an email w/ a 3-hour window for Dec 10th (3p-6p) and the driver will call prior to arrival. I reply according to their process to confirm pickup. On Dec 10th at 3pm I receive another email indicating "as you requested, your order has been updated" - nope, I didn't request. I left home for the evening. Then at 6pm I receive an email indicating that the new pickup window is Dec 11th (3p-6p). At 9pm my wife informs me that the pod is gone (no drive call yet again).

    At 1am (Dec 11) I receive an email indicating that the pod has been picked up, and again at 7am (Dec 11) I receive notice that my pod will be picked up during the 3p-6p window. So their national tracking system has no idea what their locals are doing. And their locals are not following protocol to call the customer before pulling onto their property. Oh, yeah... I was charged for the month of December when I asked for the pod to be removed as early as Nov 19th. The website is not helpful.

    I used PODS for storage so that when we bought another home we could ship it directly to our new house. I called to get it sent from FL to OH. They charged me but didn't send the container. They credited that but then I didn't get my container for another month!! They did credit me a lot of money for the mix up; but it took a lot of time. You always get a new person. Very frustrating. I won't use them again.

    Origin - Pod was brought to us on time. Driver snapped a wire to the house, not relevant to the utilities, but driver seemed unconcerned. Pod door was hard to open due to previous damage or tract not having been lubricated. This made it difficult the entire time. Pick up - Hard to make changes. Driver was here to get the Pod when he realized the day had been changed. Destination - Ordered for 8:30 a.m. On day of, the text said 12:30 p.m. We were at destination spot (not our home) but Sam, in nice Pods shirt, called when he was near, otherwise it would have been a disaster. Sam went above and beyond when I forgot the combination, then we couldn't get the garage-type door open, probably fault of our loading. Sam stayed calm and worked with us. OVERALL IMPRESSION - Expensive for the experience. Use it only if you REALLY need it.

    I moved out and used PODS' storage unit, then I moved back in. My father booked the smaller container for me, and it was seamless. We packed and it was tight, but everything fit. The man who picked up the container was very lovely, and the first guy who dropped it off was professional as well. He didn't have a personality but he wasn't offensive. I had to cut off the lock 'cause I lost the key. That was one thing that I don't know why they told us to do but buy an extra lock.     I went online. I found PODS. I called the number. A girl called me back. She was really good with me, called me back several times, because I wasn't ready to do it yet, but I was trying to get all my ducks in a row, and get all my information that I needed, and she continued to call me. “Are you ready? You just let me know.” I needed to ask her how many days in advance I needed to do this, because I was calling from Illinois and my move was gonna be from Arizona back to Illinois. So, I wasn't in Arizona yet. So, I signed everything in order.

    There are two pods. There's an 8 x 15 and like a 15 x 15 or 16 x 15. So, originally, I was going with the smaller one, the half-pod. And then my wife's aunt and her uncle just kept adding more stuff that they wanted in it. So, I got nervous that I wouldn't fit it all in the half-pod. So, then I reordered and I ordered the bigger pod. I got there on the 15th of October. I have a couple days to pack up all the stuff. So, I had to get the pod delivered on the 23rd of October and then I wanted it picked up on the 30th of October. That was exactly what they did.

    They called me and said, “I'm like 15, 20 minutes away.” They came in. I met them at the place. They dropped the pod. The guy was great. It was a shared driveway. So, the neighbor pulled up and she started giving me a hard time and went to the driver, telling the driver what to do. And the driver says, “Listen, ma'am. All respect. I work for him, so I do what he tells me to do.” The guy was really good. The neighbor was just outrageous. He had enough room to get in and out.

    We went online and looked at all the information and we ended up calling PODS. We talked to one of the representatives and it seemed like it was convenient and fit our schedule. We started the booking process and then, we changed things around. It was a very pleasurable experience. I got four 16-footers and we’ve only had one dropped off. There are still three in the warehouse down in Hialeah. So, that process was very nice.

    The only thing disappointing in the whole experience was that one of the trucks leaked fluid on a new driveway. I tried to clean it myself but it's still there. It will take some time to wear it off because it's hydraulic or oil. We didn't make an issue out of it. It wasn't the driver's fault. It's just some of PODS’ trucks leak. Hopefully, the next truck that comes and delivers won't be leaking. The price was variable. It went up and down so, we got some savings. As it got later in the season, maybe the price dropped a little bit. While you're moving, anything is expensive. But it was worth it and still is at this moment.

So after having done a little bit of plodding around on the internet, I called PODS and the rep was very helpful and got us set up.     The pod was delivered on August 28 and the driver was amazing. We had places we wanted him to put it and he got out of the truck, looked at it and said, “Yeah. I can do that.” The price was cheaper than a moving company. But they made a mistake. They brought the big pod and I didn't have that many belongings.     I've used PODS before and it worked out well the previous time. I went with them again and my experience was good. It went as expected, and worked out really well. There were three payments, a couple of days before, after pickup, and then the last payment. Then there was a $10 difference. It was no big deal. Other than that, it was great. The driver was good. It was a smaller market. When the first one got picked up, he said he was gonna go do something and then do something else and be back. I didn't get the call for 30 minutes prior. I was expecting that 30-minute call before he arrived and got lucky that I got back when he pulled up. But the personnel were very friendly and seemed to know what they were doing.

    PODS was my first try because they're so recognizable. Initially, I called and told them what my needs were. They were very helpful and said they could do all of it. Then, they set me up with my portal which has everything in it. If you make a change, they update it. If you need to look at the dates that you're doing things, pickup times, and needs for delivery space, they're all in the portal and can all be handled online. Also, when I needed to call them, they were happy to help me over the phone. We got the biggest pod, and the delivery and pickup were super easy. We weren't even there. They just delivered them when they said they were going to, called us, and said they were done. The same thing happened when they picked it up.     I already had someone to help me pack. I didn't wanna rent a U-Haul truck and PODS seemed like a good option. So, I decided to go with that. Plus, the stuff I was moving had to be in storage for a month before it went on to where it was going. It just seemed like PODS had it figured out how to do that easily. Booking the pod was a piece of cake. I got on the phone and said what I needed. The person I dealt with was very easy to understand. They spoke very clearly and they answered every question I had on the spot and they didn't have to say, "Well, let me go check." They knew what they were talking about.

    Delivery was when they said it was gonna be done. I only got one pod. It was 16 feet long. The guy dropped it off and wheeled it right where I wanted it. He was very cordial. The pod was, for all intents and purposes, new. It was spotless. It was clean on the inside and there were no big dings or scratches. Maybe I got one that was only used once or twice. But if they're all that way, then that was good. When the price was quoted, it didn't scare me. I didn't compare it to something else, but I would tell people if they compare prices and this is in the ballpark, I'd recommend PODS. Two different times during the moving process, I had to contact PODS and change a date. It was as smooth as it could be. They have a well-run business going there.

    I loved having PODS. I ended up having them stored for seven years. I just got it two weeks ago. They neither delivered to Alaska nor Montana, which were the two places where I ended up. So, the downside is that they do not cover all 50 states. At the time I booked, I had no idea I would end up in Alaska for five years. When I received my items, it had been kept in a temperature-controlled facility in Texas, which meant a lot because it was 115 degrees for the last several years during the summer time. I didn't have any issues with my belongings. Everything came very clean. I just had it in another moving truck for a week and everything was very dirty. It's good. The temperature control worked beautifully, the way it was supposed to.

    It was very easy for them to both pick up the item online and schedule everything that I had to do. Then the driver even called me when he was half an hour away. The price was fair for not having to drive a U-Haul truck or try to deal with across country movers. If you want it delivered outside of that range, it would be a little less, but I would still recommend PODS.

    I selected PODS because the timeframe seemed to work for me as far as loading it up and delivering it. It checked all the boxes. It was a little expensive, but it was okay. They had gone down a bit in price, which was good. I had a container delivered to my house and it would go to North Carolina. They held it for me and I moved my things into a storage unit. The gentleman that dropped the pod off was great. The guy that picked it up was good. The guy that delivered it to me in Wilmington, North Carolina, to the storage place was patient. He was in touch. It was good, easy service. I've had moving companies move my things and I've had some very reckless, bad experiences. I packed up my own things. I didn't get anybody through PODS to pack my stuff. That was a little bit more of an expense, but it was worth it because I'm not as young as I used to be, when I used to do a lot of things.

    I liked the price and I didn't need a full service moving crew. The schedule was important too. I had a very tight timeline to move the things that I had, and PODS had a more rapid response time than others I checked with. I had questions that I couldn't answer by looking online so I ended up calling to talk to somebody and ask those questions.

    The drivers were very flexible and did their best to try to make sure that everything was exactly as I requested it in terms of where the pod would go. They were very responsive and concerned to make sure that I was satisfied. Nice people. I had a specific situation on the pickup as well, which was, which I was notable. I was not supposed to be there when they were coming to do the pickup of the unit. I was taking my mother to a doctor's appointment, and I realized while I was at the doctor's appointment that I left my car parked close to the pod container that it wouldn't have been possible for them to do the pickup.

    I called the guy and said, “I just realized I screwed this up. Is that gonna be a problem?” He said yes, it was. But he immediately said, “Let me see if I can try to fit you in.” We went through the regular process of rescheduling through PODS for the pickup, but he ended up coming two days earlier. He called me and said, “I've got a guy who's available right now at the end of the day. Would you like me to come pick it up?" He came then. He was responsive and even though it would have been easier for him to wait until the time that had been rescheduled. He knew that I was on a tight time frame. He reached out to me to ask if it was okay if he could come earlier than the rescheduled time. He went above and beyond, which was nice.

    We needed to store our stuff for our move because we were building a new house. The booking process with PODS was easy, and I got the biggest sized pod. It was good. Their guy called and let me know he was on the way and then they dropped it off. It was the same thing with the pick-up. They came and picked it up. Nothing was complicated. Anybody who is moving, I would recommend to use the service because it was easier than moving it into a storage unit, and then moving it back. It was just a simpler way.

    I went to PODS’ site and looked it up. Then, I decided that I wanted to book it online to understand the process but I needed to speak to somebody specifically and I didn't wanna do all of that simply online. I used PODS for storage for several months while I was redoing stuff within the house. Then I called them back and got the stuff out and sent them home.

    One problem is that I need to know when the driver is going to show up or get a notice because I’m on a farm and you can’t get in unless we know and allow you to. They promised that they would call to do that but those calls never came. What I got was a text from the driver saying he was at the gate. That happened twice. That’s asking me to spend extra hours I don't have. I don't know when they're coming and I'm trying to be courteous enough to say that they’ll sit outside that gate, but they can't get in. I told PODS that they need to figure out what their process is. I've had two different stories as to what it is and they’re the ones who created it. I'm the one who's trying to accommodate it and they didn't call. So that doesn't help me.

    There’s an issue with their marketing communication in making sure that they're consistent and what they say they’d do, they'll do. But the drivers were wonderful and very accommodating. Overall, I would use PODS again and recommend it. They did a great job. The customer service was very pleasant and did their best. But this is an internal operational issue and if they've got a format, then they need to have everybody reading the same format. And they're not. Their customers are limited as to what PODS said they're gonna do.

    PODS’ prices were a little high but I haven't been involved in that kind of feature before. I put things in storage and I’ve done all the rest of it. I have 18 moves behind me and have some idea about the costs of the things that they're shipping, and that's not very expensive. So, my assumption is it has to be both the facility where they're keeping the pods in some kind of weathered, conditioned service or that that's the cost that's going towards the drivers. In which case, I don't have a problem with that. But it would be interesting to see what the margin is for them.

    The first time I got a pod, we were in a storm before our closing date and we were just starting to move stuff out because we had a buyer. We just wanted PODS because I like the convenience of just loading it up and having them take it away. But the buyers had to terminate the contract because of a financial situation on their part. The pod had already left storage and I had another one coming the day after so I told PODS I needed my pod back. I had to unload all that stuff until the house sold again.

    I paid all this money but PODS didn’t charge me for the pod that I didn't need anymore. So, that was a good thing. But a few days later, somebody bought the house and I had to call them again to bring the pod. I like that PODS was flexible with the scheduling and they came by fairly quickly. They came by on the day they were supposed to come by. Everything went smoothly and everybody that I talked to was good. The price was about average if I went for a moving company. So, it wasn't that bad.

    One POD was filthy inside. I had to clean it out. Another had bolts sticking out of the floor. I had to cover those so that our furniture was not damaged.     I needed storage for a month while I did some renovating, and the gals I talked to on the phone as well as the drivers were great. They let me know when they were coming and going and it was all a pleasant experience. The cost was a little high though. I was surprised that there was a fee to bring the pod back. I thought the 300 fee in the beginning was the whole thing. They said, "Oh, well, now, it's gonna be another 100 to bring it back." I don't think that was explained.

    The drop off and pick up was really easy. It was nice having an extra storage spot on moving. The drop off scheduling was very quick and easy however, when you needed it picked up if you didn’t book weeks ahead, you get screwed. The Syracuse location didn’t open up spots for the next two weeks so I had nothing to book and as everybody knows, closings get changed every five seconds so this is really inconvenient if you have to close on a house. It’s better to move it to somebody else’s house and then again move it to your house. It makes it not worth it. Luckily the customer service was able to reach out and schedule it for me even though it was a few days early and I had to negotiate with the seller of our new home to take it early. Such a hassle.

    We had a medical emergency and had to move my mom from NY to TX in short notice. We elected to use PODS to pack up her possessions (a lot - smile) that she wanted to take to TX.     We used PODS to move across the country. We had 2 PODS delivered to our house on different days. The 2 PODS were stored for 2 months and then delivered to our new address on 2 different days.     Loved that I didn’t have to drive a truck with a trailer, and that I had 30 days at a time of storage built into the pod. I will say that there were numerous things broken in my pod, including an armoire and a TV, so they are a little rough when they travel, so pack tightly and protectively (even though I did this, still ended up with breakage). I do advise you to make sure that you can open your pod door before the delivery driver leaves, sometimes they shift in transit. Overall, I would still recommend PODS, it definitely made my life easier.

    I used PODS to store my furnishings for 2 years while I was looking to relocate to another state. I wanted my belongings in a climate controlled place and a dust free unit. I found that to be true when my POD container was unloaded. Also it simplified my move. It was pricey and I felt it took longer than it should have. I left 2 days after my POD and drove to TN from Reno and arrived 5 days before my POD. Even if they had another container on the truck, it just didn't make sense to me.     Salesperson in FL told us PODS would deliver anywhere in western NC if we shipped POD for storage to Asheville, NC. After we purchased a home, the Asheville PODS location informed us they would only deliver 50 mi from their facility. Offered to pay extra, they refused. Would not let us speak to a manager. Had to spend $1000 to rent a truck and hire 2 people to help us load from the POD and drive truck home. Charged us an additional $410 for another month of storage when we emptied POD within 10 days, no reimbursement for remainder of month. Poor customer service, unknowledgeable sales staff, unhelpful local staff. Do not use this company!

    I had the POD for about a year, due to home remodeling. The only issue I had was on the day of the pick-up. I scheduled the pick up for 26 Nov 24. A time window of 8:30 am to 11:30 am was given. I had made plans for the afternoon after receiving the scheduled times. The driver, (Ed) did not arrive until 1:40 pm. Ed was very apologetic. He explained that his boss sent him on another job in Greensburg Pa., which is about one hour away. So the pick up window leaves little to be desired. So much for family plans for the day. Other than that, all was well.

    I called PODS and booked over the phone. I had trouble with the online booking. I tried to change something online and it never showed up. So I had to call in to change it. They asked me to fill out a thing and I did fill that out. The rep was very friendly and nice, but I could not understand her. We had a very, very, very difficult language barrier to get through because I could not understand half of what she said. But once we got there, she was very good with me and very patient. We worked through it. My husband was there for delivery. They pulled in and put it down exactly where we told them to and everything was good.

    I would recommend PODS. The only thing was it was very difficult to get around the website. I could never find a statement. My husband probably has where we were billed and where the money was taken out, but I don't know that we ever received any kind of receipts or any kind of documentation. It was hard to find that information because it wouldn't cooperate. Our contractor moved our date back a week. So I had to change some things and I was not able to do it online.

    The booking process was pretty easy. I called PODS right around dinnertime to tell them that I needed a pod and they offered me all the services that they have, including moving services and packing. They asked me where I was going, how far, whether it was in state or out of state, the distance, and how big of a house as far as the contents. They went through the different sizes. They told me all about the fees and everything else. It was all pretty transparent and upfront, which was nice. The delivery was great.

    They notify you so many times that you have to be in a coma to not know it's coming. It's like they tell you three days out, and then one day out, then you get an email and a text message. But on the day of the delivery, the driver called, said, "Hey, I'll be there in an hour." And he showed up and he dropped the thing. They have that overhead lift that they use and it's fantastic. The only rub with the delivery was my driveway sloped to one side. So I had to jack the container up because the door wouldn't close. My driveway was pushing the container out of square.

    As I started loading it, the low side, and then I pulled the roller door down and I was like, "That's a gap that a small dog could fit through." But not really. It was about an inch. It was right in the end of summer and the beginning of fall when the nights were starting to get cool. That's when the damn mice start looking for places to go. So I jacked it up and I threw a couple of pieces of wood underneath it to hold it up and to keep the container up, and it was fine.

    I was satisfied with PODS. They were less costly than having a moving company that I previously used. Most of the time, I could handle the website okay. I started online and moved to phone. Also, the container was clean. The pod experience itself is good. However, the people that I used from Lima did not pack well. When they came to the house, they didn't have a dolly or any tools. I had a small plant dolly that they used. And my toolbox was out, so they were able to use that.

    The movers were polite. But I had a box labeled with my lampshades in it, "Fragile." They put it on the bottom of everything and squashed my lampshades. They broke the top glass on my shelf thing. They scratched a table and a dresser. They had me get straps from the hardware and they didn't use them. So when my movers here unloaded, things fell out. I wouldn't recommend the people that I used in Lima, Ohio. But the PODS service itself was always on time. The guys were super polite. They made sure all the cars were moved out of the way so they could unload and load the pods.

    The person I spoke to was nice and patient. She listened carefully to what I was saying and my needs and helped me make a decision. We were looking at other options but we went with PODS.     I was trying to do a little remodeling and needed PODS to store some furniture and different items. I booked a pod online and the process was simple. I called for clarity on the process of them delivering the pod, and they were nice. I wanted to make sure that it was turned so that the opening was near the garage which they did. I love everything about the pod except for the door lock where you put your lock at. It was hard to lock it. When you close it, in order to slide that lock and engage it, you have to put a lot of pressure and stand on it a certain way. Other than that, I highly recommend PODS because they gave me a good experience.

    My experience with PODS was excellent. It's a wonderful company. I ordered their PODZILLA, their biggest metal box thing, and then they delivered it to where I was moving. They loaded all the stuff in, and then I have them bring it back to the new place I was staying. I've been with PODS before a couple of times when we first moved. It's a great thing. They bring the container to your house, you load the stuff in, then they bring it to the place you're staying. You have the time to load it at your leisure. Their people were all very nice and the price was fair. I don't have complaints whatsoever about PODS. They did everything they said they were gonna do, and the guys who moved the stuff were really nice and did put it exactly where I wanted it. I would use them again if I ever move.

    PODS brought the pod to Sherman Oaks here where I live. Almost the last day of when I was done with the thing, somebody had broken into it. They smashed the whole lock off it and PODS didn't blame me for any of that. They said that that's not my fault if somebody broke into this thing. It also was not their fault that there are criminals all over the place. The price I paid them was worth it. I like the idea that they put the pod out there and you got a month to move all your crap, and then they bring it to you, and then you got a couple of days to just put it back, put it in your house, and they take it away. I was 100% satisfied. They bring you a nice, clean box.

    The ordering and delivery of the POD was easy. The POD provided a good option for storing things while we prepared our house for sale. We didn't use the POD to move things to our new house. Arranging for pickup of the empty POD has not been easy. The earliest dates for pick up were almost a month out. This has made arranging closing on our house sale very difficult.     I was extremely satisfied with Lalani, my online booking agent. She went out of her way to be helpful! I was extremely satisfied with Guy, the driver who delivered my POD and who picked it up after unloading. The fellow who moved it from one place to another was terrible. He obviously wasn't careful with my belongings because he arrived at the destination before I did, although I left while he was still loading the POD and I didn't stop anywhere along the way. Then he wouldn't put it where I needed it put. Was rude about it then wouldn't wait while I called the company to try and reconcile the issue.

    He almost ran me over as he was leaving and to show his dissatisfaction with me he did a very long blast with the truck's air horn.     Review of PODS Moving and Storage. I am extremely disappointed with my experience with PODS Moving and Storage. After falling behind on payments, I was informed in August that my pod would be auctioned the following day. While this was disappointing, I understood the situation. However, two weeks later, I started receiving communications from a company called Fun Storage and Moving, which I did not recognize. They claimed they had not auctioned my pod and began charging me the monthly rate again.

    When I finally made contact with PODS, they confirmed they still had my pod and that I was being charged from August until the present. Despite numerous attempts to resolve this issue, they have not worked with me in a meaningful way. Instead, I have been bombarded with constant calls and emails, pressuring me without offering a fair resolution. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and has left me feeling taken advantage of. I would not recommend PODS Moving and Storage to anyone looking for reliable and fair service.

    If I could give zero stars, I would. This past year has been nothing short of a nightmare dealing with this company. What should have been a straightforward process—receiving my pod and belongings—turned into an exhausting, never-ending ordeal. Every interaction with their team has felt like an exercise in futility. Their employees are shockingly undertrained and seem to be in competition for who can offer the least helpful or accurate information.

    It only gets worse when you try to escalate matters. The supervisors—if you can even reach one—are somehow even less knowledgeable and unwilling to resolve issues. My calls have been dropped, requests ignored, and timelines repeatedly pushed back with no valid explanation. I’ve been given the runaround for a full year, with zero accountability on their end and a glaring lack of professionalism at every turn. And just to add insult to injury I get to pay them 381.00 a month and spend a minimum of 2 hours a month having the same conversation.

    I booked over the phone because the web tracking was a little challenging. I work in IT, so I look at things with a more critical eye. Booking ended up being a couple of phone calls and the reps were fine, but the quotes didn't match. I requested the largest pod and then a smaller one to be on the safe side. The rep said he was quoting me at $100 for something, $50 for the lock and 400 or 500 for the pod. I wrote it down and when I called back about the drop-off day, I found out how much that would really be. The total was 1,900 for the two pods, and I said, "Wait, that's vastly different than how you broke it down." He said, "I don't know what to say to you. It's coming out what it's coming out." He had no clue, and it was a weird experience. I had to make changes.

    The pod was clean, and the drivers were awesome. They were both very kind, and the email or text notifications were spot on. However, if PODS wants to get more of a market share, they should hire their own professional moving people since people need it as opposed to recommending people go to an outside vendor. I was recommended to go through U-Haul for laborers and they showed up high. They were smoking pot in front of me and my autistic son. That was horrendous.

    My only problem was with the pick up driver. I had sent specific instructions to knock on my garage door when they arrived. I did this because I had just spent the last 3 days unloading the trailer in record AZ heat, some days were 115 and I spent the entire night and morning of the pick up day to make sure it was ready. I was tired and I have cardio problems which limit how much I can do. The trailer was empty but there was a few things that were placed just outside the door and I planned on moving them once the driver arrived. The amount of time to move those items was going to take less than 5 minutes and at the moment I finished clearing the trailer out I couldn't continue even just 5 minutes and has to lay down to rest. I get dizzy if I'm standing too long.

    I heard a truck and got up and went outside to see if it was the pick up and it was, he was already walking back towards his truck when I went out there. I asked if he was ready to pick it up and he said he couldn't do it and was leaving! Now this is exactly why I said to knock on the door, I asked him why he couldn't and he said there's stuff too close to the trailer. I quickly took pictures of what was there and he was already on his phone trying to let you guys know he wasn't picking it up.

    I moved everything in less than 1 minute, he was still on the phone as I finished and had to wait for him so I could have him come back and look at everything being clear. I told him that there was no way I was letting him leave without that trailer. I took more pictures in case he tried to get out of it. He still has to get his mover unpacked from his truck and I stood there watching. The time it took him to get the mover in place was 10 times as long as it took me to move those few items away from the back of the trailer. He didn't say a word and took off once it was done. A very different meeting than I had with the delivery driver who was quite nice and did all he could to position the trailer as far as he could in my driveway to one side even though there was a few things that made it a tight fit to only take up one lane in my 2 lane driveway.

    The only mechanical problem I experienced was the door straps that hold the door in position were worn through on one side and it made to difficult to open and close the door. After a while both straps has worn out but at that time I saw no reason to have you fix them. The first month I had the door open and closed often but after that the door was only opened once in a while and had no real big issue.

    To start the claim they'll tell you the delivery window the night before. They didn't. We moved our cars of the way just in case luckily. But that was the smallest of problems. When it came time to deliver our pods to the new house they also could not give a window until the night before. Which is tricky with movers. Anyway the night came and they said it would arrive by 9am. Cool. We woke up the next morning to an email saying they cannot be delivered. Full stop. Not a new time, just they cannot be delivered. We called and they said they don't deliver to our area. After already accepting our money and taking our stuff. We were on the phone forever trying to get them to tell us when they would deliver and they claimed the next day first thing for sure. That we would be compensated for the hassle, needing to pay and reschedule movers, and pay for a new night in a hotel. That we would have the new delivery time that night.

    That night we get an email saying it would be ANOTHER day later. We called and told them how unacceptable this was. They finally relented that would deliver tomorrow after all but in the afternoon. So we had to pay movers for the lost time and reschedule them as well. Again. After this saga was finally done out support ticket, that they claimed would compensate us, was closed as "no fault found." I was livid. We called and they are now reopening the ticket... But I don't have a lot of hope. They are so dysfunctional and their customer service is awful to try and claim this wasn't their fault even.

    I moved from Oklahoma to Alabama and I liked that I had access to PODS in those states. I also liked being able to have the container on site, take my time packing it, then have it picked up and shipped. It was a big deal for me to be able to have the container to pack on my time frame.     I pulled up PODS online and it walked me through it, like what was I needing it for and how long would I need it for. It was pretty easy. The pod fits on the back of a flatbed, small truck like a wrecker truck. I had trouble with the lock a little bit. It kind of would stick, the lock itself with mine. But the handle that would slide so that you could put your padlock in was a little tricky to use, maneuver. But otherwise, it was fine. It worked for what I needed it to work for. I had it exactly two months.

    The pricing was a little high since it was just a drop-off and then a pickup. It's not like I packed it and they had to move it for me and things like that. Because really, it was just drop it down and then it was storage for me. So, I thought it was a little pricey. Plus, the fact that there was no prorating. That bothered me a little bit. So, I had to make sure that I cut it off before the first of the month so that I didn't get charged for a whole another month. The other thing that I was a little disturbed about was that the drop-off and pickup fee are not included in the price of the monthly charge. So, that was an additional cost. The cost of the monthly charge should have covered pickup and drop-off for each of those months.

    PODS allowed me the convenience of packing my own and it worked out well. Every time I had questions, Charlene, the rep, walked me through it. She was very good. It’s not every day that you do a pod and the rep was patient and explained what I needed to do as well as the timeline, packing it and then having it picked up and then sent over from Oregon to California. Even though PODS had to put it in storage for a week, at least the whole container went into storage. It’s not like they had to unload everything from a truck, put it in the storage, and then the next few weeks when I need to move out, they take everything from storage and move it back into the truck. More things will get lost and broken along the process that way.

    The drivers were helpful because they came on time and were gentle with that 16-foot pod. Everything arrived intact and nothing was broken. There were a few things, but it's just how it is. It wasn't important. It was a few of the storage boxes because it was stacked too heavy. It’s interesting how the crew connected the pod to the truck. So, it was a learning process. The price was reasonable for what was done. But PODS charged me for a whole month even though the pod was only in storage for a total of five days. I could have had it moved earlier. It was just put into storage because of the dates. It could have been prorated such that if they did it within a week, they could charge me seven days. If I did 10 days, then charge me two weeks. But 30 days was quite a bit amount. Still, I would recommend PODS to future friends who are moving, depending on if they wanna move themselves, that pod is easier.

    I did a web search of mobile storage because I needed something to clean out my garage so I can get it fixed and to have some extra space. My choices were PODS and Mobile Attic and another one. I didn't care about Mobile Attic's customer service. They said my driveway had to be long. It was just 3 feet short and they said they couldn't bring their truck in and put it in there properly. So, they couldn't do anything for us. Whereas PODS didn't make any fuss. I did everything via online or in an app and I only got a call once just saying that the driver was bringing it. I asked him if I had to be there and he said no. So, I told him to just bring it in.

    I got the largest pod and it was nice. It's set up so it can be moved from one location to another with stuff in it. They had a little hanger for clothes and hooks that you could tie things in to make sure it didn't move if they picked it up and moved it. We had an apartment in Chicago and we used PODS one time before to ship our stuff down to Columbia, South Carolina. But we had somebody else come in and pack it for us.

    My online experience with PODS was terrible. The agent wasn't experienced and he couldn't speak good English. I asked him if I could speak to someone else. He said, "No. My English is fine," and he continued. But he didn't know what he was doing. I wasn't sure if I needed one or two pods or one large and one small. I had never done it and didn't know how to estimate it. This young man kept putting me on hold 'cause he didn't know how to handle things. He didn't know answers to my questions and it was back and forth. I was on there for an hour plus.

    Prior to that call, I wanted to speak with someone rather than doing it online because I figured that this was much too complicated to do online. I went to the Ocala PODS' office. You can't reach them by phone, but I found an address and drove up there. I met a gentleman who was awesome. He explained what PODS was and how it worked. He took me in the back and showed me what the pod looked like, what I would need to use it, and that I needed to do the paperwork online. He gave me all of the basic information on how it worked and was very detailed. That was in April, and I didn't know at the time when I was gonna be moving, but I knew I was gonna be moving. As the time got closer and I found out that I would be moving, I started the online process which was a nightmare.

    The pods I got ended up being the right size. I had movers come in and look at what I was moving to give me an estimate. I verbally told the man in Ocala what I had. All of them thought one pod would be fine. Then someone came along and asked, "Are you sure you're gonna get all that?" I went back up to Ocala, and I talked with them. The manager up there went over it with me. She took the time and went out of her way to help me. She also told me about the straps I needed and how many. I was gonna have them loaded the next day then picked up the following day. She said, "When your movers come in the morning, have them assess it.     Then there was another question about straps so I went back up to Ocala. It's about 45-minute ride for me from where I live, but it was well worth it. Each time I went up there, not only were the manager-type people nice, but even the drivers would come in to ask a question to somebody, and they were pleasant. I've never seen such a well-oiled machine as I did with the individuals up in Ocala. They didn't even have to talk to me. I was there to talk to their boss but they were wonderful.

    When they brought the PODS, it was a hoop because I had never seen this before. There was a young lady and a young man. One of them was there to take care of the large pod and the other one for the small pod. They could not have been nicer. I'm a nervous wreck but they made everything wonderful. Kudos to them. One of the doors on one of the pods was sticking. They explained that to me and said, "When your mover comes, make sure that they check this. Then when they come to pick up the pod, make sure that it's closed properly, and tell them before they take it." They were letting me know everything to do. We loaded it up then they came to pick up. It was the same thing. They were very pleasant, helpful, and informative.

    I was very happy with the actual people that I worked with, but if I have to go through that online mess again, I don't know that I would do it again with PODS. Their representatives need to be able to communicate and to be familiar with what they need to communicate and know the product themselves, which is key. When it came to the billing part of it, I had someone online, and she couldn't help me. She turned it over to someone in billing. The first woman had it down to exactly how many charges would be made and the dates that the charges would be made so I knew what to expect. But they ended up taking a deposit out of my account without even notifying me. It wasn't clear that that was gonna happen. I went back online with the billing people, and it was a nightmare to get that all figured out.

    We needed storage and booking the service was easier to do online. The drivers were excellent. PODS could lower their pricing though.

    I rented a 16 foot pods container for an upcoming move… The directions for pod placement were very descriptive and in the order. Pods delivery driver did not follow instructions. He dropped the pod at the end of my driveway not allowing any of our cars to enter. I immediately called to notify them that it was not placed correctly and that we would get ticketed by the city for parking in the street (this is also a 2 family home and the other occupants were unable to get their cars in the driveway as well). They said they would send someone out the next day to reposition it. The next day I came home and the pod had not moved, I called again and they said the earliest they could reposition it was 3 days from then. I said this was unacceptable- they said there was nothing they could do and I had to call back in the morning.

    I called the next morning and was on the phone for another hour trying to get a reposition scheduled without being charged. I asked to just cancel the order and have the pod removed as this had been such a headache and was costing me more money due to parking tickets & lack of trust in the company. They told me if I was to cancel I would not be refunded any money and they would not be able to pick up the pod for an additional 5 days. Needless to say the POD is still in my driveway with no resolve
