PODS was cheaper than a traditional moving and storage company, and I like their availability in my area of entry. I was moving from Idaho to Nevada, and the only company that had both storage containers and a storage facility to hold my belongings was PODS. I talked to an individual when I booked the pods. I didn't feel comfortable doing it online. There was a little bit of a language barrier issue, but we worked through it. I ordered three of the largest pods they had, and their pricing was reasonable.

I looked up PODS online, called them and set things up. Dealing with the rep was very good. PODS sent me emails when the 16-foot container was being picked up from Florida. We stored it there for a month or so until we got rid of the snow here. Then, they sent another email when it was delivered here as well as when they picked it up from here. The driver was very nice. He just picked up the pod and we didn't even know it was gone until later. It was a very good experience. We had very good luck with PODS. People should use them.

My experience with PODS was great from start to finish. They brought the pod when they said they were gonna bring it and picked it up when they said they were gonna do it. The customer service rep called to tell me the driver was on the way. I’ve used PODS before and this time, I got a small pod for storage though I should have gotten a medium size. But the price was okay.

Dear PODS Customer Service, I am writing to formally complain about the unacceptable level of communication and customer service I have received from your company. From the start, my experience has been frustrating and completely unprofessional. I have dealt with repeated delays, lack of responses, and inconsistent or misleading information from your representatives. It has been nearly impossible to get clear answers or timely updates, which is unacceptable for a company providing a paid service.
Your customer service has been equally disappointing. Representatives have been unhelpful, dismissive, or simply unavailable when needed. Instead of resolving issues, I have been left to chase answers and deal with unnecessary stress due to your team’s lack of accountability and follow-through. This level of service falls far below reasonable expectations and reflects poorly on your company. As a paying customer, I should not have to repeatedly follow up or deal with this level of disorganization and disregard.
I expect this matter to be taken seriously and addressed immediately. I am requesting a prompt response with a clear explanation, as well as appropriate resolution for the inconvenience and poor service I have experienced. If this issue is not resolved quickly, I am prepared to escalate this complaint further. I look forward to your immediate response.

PODS was a lot cheaper than the traditional moving companies. Also, I get to handle my own stuff. If you market fragile, they don't necessarily treat it as fragile. So, I was able to manage my own stuff. Eduardo was the first person that I dealt with over at PODS and he was great. He walked me through the process and how it worked. I had a ton of questions, and answered all of them. The drivers allowed me to micromanage. They were very patient. They were very friendly and did what they had to do. I'm amazed at the way they managed that machine and swung things around.

The process was very user friendly, flexible and accommodating. The driver went out of his way to enable us to access our garage with a car, despite challenges with overhead wires, thank you so much for the extra effort. It is genuinely appreciated.

I used PODS to move out of my my condo. I used "my" POD over several months for storage while I settled into a studio apartment. Visiting the POD was easy, convenient and a great way to sort out what I needed for the apartment and dispose of the rest. The POD driver was on time and delivered everything to the PODS storage site where it stayed safe and dry until I finally emptied it and closed it for the last time. The price was fair. More than that each person who helped us at the storage site made sure the POD was ready when we arrived, helpful and a pleasure to work with. I wish I had their names because they deserve recognition. PODS made the whole move easy and affordable. They exceeded my expectations.

Let me begin by saying I would've been better off renting a 20 foot U-Haul. Why? 3 reasons...... 1. They didn't listen 2. They didn't do what they said they would do. 3. All the reasons/explanations sounded like excuses. Let me explain, Pods dropped off the container as they were supposed to. They came to pick it up prior to the scheduled pick up time so they had to come back the following day but instead of coming back 1st thing in the day, they came back AFTER we closed on the sale of our house.
They were supposed to drop it off on Friday (today) at the end of the day, however, the person that handled our rescheduled pick up canceled our drop off so now, we have to pay a cancellation fee for the movers. We are told that they cannot deliver until Monday so we now have to reschedule with the movers and take off another few days of work, which is why we scheduled this for the weekend. I will now be filing a complaint with the Department of Consumer Affairs and the BBB. Signed, Irate in Springhill

This company does not care about people’s time. I called for a quote, which took 20 minutes and was very detailed for a quote. The representative had my address for pick up and then drop off. After 20 minutes, she said she had to transfer me due to the location. When I was transferred the representative had no information. Nothing was saved and she wanted to start over. It was very frustrating and I hung up. My time is valuable.

Horrible, to say the least. Not only was I charged $865 over my initial quote, they issued a refund check that I had to chase down multiple addresses because they never asked where to send payment. Once I tracked it down I deposited the check, then the check was reversed. The amount was significantly less than what I was ever charged. I will never use their services again nor will I recommend them to anyone.

I needed a storage container on site and I researched many online websites, and PODS was the easiest to use. Also, the pricing was most comprehensive. I did the chat online in trying to figure out pickup times and pricing, and I booked a 16-foot container. It was an easy and flawless experience with PODS and we would use them again. I had a friend who booked with them.

PODS was very pleasant to work with at both pick-up and delivery. I booked with them over the phone for our 1,200-mile move. They were very accommodating. Also, the rep was very helpful. When he found out I was a veteran, he put me on hold and came back with a lower price. The way they care for veterans was appreciated. We used the 16-foot pod. I only had one piece that was broken, but it wasn't caused by PODS. I was very pleased with them.

I had some renovations done, so I had to take all the furniture out. Also, someone recommended that I use PODS. I made a phone call and I told them when I needed the pod. They told me what date it would be delivered. I had one, 16-foot pod. It was nice and cleaned out. That was my first time using PODS. The transition, pickup, and delivery were all good.

PODS driver destroyed my brand new sidewalk during delivery and the company completely denied my claim afterward. I expected better accountability and customer service, especially when clear damage was caused by their driver. Instead, they refused to take responsibility and left me stuck with the repair costs for something that was not my fault. It was extremely frustrating and disappointing to deal with. Hire PODS at your own risk—I truly regret choosing them for my move.

My experience using the PODS moving container was perfect. The company was in contact with me regarding delivery and pick up and they were so organized and on time. The company seems to have developed a clear idea of how to help people make moving their belongings as stress-free as possible. I was able to manage my move with them with no problems.

I talked to Lolita when I booked the pod over the phone. She was real nice and helpful. We got the 16-foot pod but it could be a little bit bigger. We were crunched, but that was due to my measurements. Both drop-off and pickup drivers were very nice. They called and were very polite and cooperative. Everything went real smooth from start to end.

I used PODS in the past and this time, when we moved, I decided to use them again. They helped with figuring out the size of the container we needed. We started with the small one and then went to the 8 x 16. The rep was excellent and we appreciated her being thorough. The driver was so good. He had no space and he backed the truck up, which was amazing. If we had gotten unlucky and had a new driver, I doubt they would have been able to get the pod into the spot. They called in advance, which is very important. Everything went very well.

Going with PODS, we liked that it was at our time and convenience. Booking one of the largest pods they have online was very easy. The pod didn't have any leaks and nothing could get into it. It was very convenient. The drivers were very friendly and professional as well.

Easy to contact and set up but was definitely a bait and switch situation. When scheduling the pick up we were quoted $2400 with a promotion. I called and spoke with someone to confirm info and even rushed our move out to meet deadline for the promotion. Container was dropped on Friday afternoon and picked up the next Monday morning which for a family of 5 still living in the location for 2 weeks was very hard.
We were then charged an additional almost $600 to drop off the container and a rental fee because our belongings were in the container for 14 days from the original Friday drop off to the next pick up after our belongings were removed and they reclaimed they box. I called to ask why the additional charge and was told it was part of the contract but it was never gone over during the conversation or during the original billing. They were great getting our belongings to our new home with only 1 broken TV but definitely will never use them again.

I used PODS moving and storage services. I liked their pricing. I booked the containers over the phone. The person I spoke to was very helpful in explaining what I will go through. He broke it down and also gave me incentives because I'm Prime military. All that worked in my favor. I got the largest container they had. I had a few extra items that couldn't fit in there. It was a fast move because I sold my home and had to put everything in the pod. I lived out of a one bedroom apartment until my recent home was built. I just moved in the end of February.
As far as the drivers, I asked them questions because of curiosity and I asked how long they've been doing it. They seem to be pleasant. They showed me how to open the door, too. The only thing is I had a sticking door. It didn't want to close. So, it took a little finagling but I finally got it to close. The lock was wonky. Other than that, it was a great experience overall. I'm of a certain age where I like customer care better than trying to go through the web. I like to talk to people. I had to talk to that automated system a little bit, but I was able to connect to a live person. It didn't take me long.

We had a pretty good experience with PODS. It's the first time we used them. Our only issue was with the customer service aspect of it. The pickup and delivery of the pods went well. I spoke with the customer service rep named Christina, and she was very helpful and nice. Ultimately, though, we discovered that some of the information she gave us wasn't accurate. She asked for driveway measurements. I sent her driveway measurements. She had told us we could place two pods side by side in our driveway and so on. But when the pod guys from Ocala came, they said, "No way." They said, “They never know. They don't have that accurate information.” So we had to pivot a little bit on placement. But it all worked out. They accommodated us.
We also had two 16-foot pods. And we described the square footage of our house and our contents. We were told that would be adequate. But it turned out it wasn't. So, in the eleventh hour, we had to order an additional 8-foot pod. I feel like the pricing on the 8-foot pod was pretty steep. We weren't really happy about the pricing on the 8-foot pod, given what we'd already paid for the two 16-foot pods. But they had us in a bind, and they knew it. So, we had no choice but to suck it up and go with it.

My experience with PODS Moving & Storage was extremely frustrating and misleading from start to finish. When booking, the representative provided inaccurate information about the space required for the container delivery. We were assured the container size would fit the available area, only to later learn the requirements were different than what we were told. This caused unnecessary stress and last-minute scrambling during an already difficult moving process.
We were also unexpectedly charged additional “city service” fees, which were never clearly explained upfront. On top of that, PODS only allows 4 hours to load the container, and then charges extra for every hour beyond that. For anyone managing a large move, four hours is unrealistic, and the added hourly charges feel like a built-in way to increase the cost after you’re already committed. The communication issues only got worse after the move began. We were told our containers could be delivered on a specific date, but later informed that service in our destination area is only available one day per week—something that absolutely should have been disclosed before booking.
Perhaps most concerning was the lack of transparency about where our belongings actually were. We were told the containers were en route to the new location, and the website even updated to show that they were moving, but they were still sitting in California the entire time. We know for a fact that they were still sitting in California 3 days (at least, they are still there) because we put tracking devices in the pods. Updating their website to show the containers are in transit when they’re not is fraud. Being given inaccurate tracking information about everything you own is incredibly stressful and unacceptable.
Overall, this experience felt like a combination of poor communication, hidden costs, and misleading information. Moving is already stressful enough without having to constantly question whether the information you’re being given is accurate. I would strongly recommend others carefully consider their options before using PODS.

We had an excellent experience with PODS. They're helpful, reasonable, and easy to deal with. I was thinking about the 12, but the prices were comparable, so I went with the 16-foot and filled it up because I could. I probably would have thrown things away, but did not. The drivers on both ends were very friendly and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised. PODS also recommended the movers to help me with the big stuff. I did some partial professional movers. Those guys were helpful, nice, and professional, too. I had them move all the big heavy stuff and put it in there first, and I had time to load in the things that I could do manually. Also, the cost was less than I thought it would be, so I was very happy.

I got the largest container that PODS offers. I had no problem with it. It worked out. It was only for half of what I needed. I had to store things before the move, and then other things went into a truck. I booked the pod over the phone and the process was easy. The drivers were exceedingly nice. As far as the customer service at PODS, sometimes I had a hard time understanding them. But outside of the language barrier, the customer service is a 5.

They are horrible and a huge rip off. I rented 2 pods they were stated they would give me a discount on the second one they did NOT. At customer service they did not help at all. To add some icing on the cake, they are trying to charge me to pick up the stupid pods.

PODS worked so good for me because I wasn't ready to load a 42-foot truck up and have them take it. I just set the pod there, and I can load it as I could. I booked the pods over the phone, but I used their online service as well. The pods were clean and in good condition. I've got three 16-footers. I used two, and I have another one ordered for April 20th. Then I may actually use a fourth pod. My experience with the drivers were better than expected. They were great. Overall, it is a rarity to see good customer service on the phone and in person. It's unbelievable.

I needed two pods for the office remodel we are doing. I booked Pods' service online, and I got two 16-footers. They were a little bit big, but I would rather have extra than have them come back and drop off another one. They were also pretty easy to deal with, not difficult or causing issues. Getting the drop-off and pick-up scheduled went very smooth, as well.

Pods took money out of my bank account without authorization, not in my contract and I’m having to go to court with them to get my $500 back. I have verbally asked them about the money and they said they told me which they didn’t and told me I would be contacted within 72 hours and it’s been over two weeks and I haven’t heard a word from them and they took another 172 out to deliver the pod which is not in the contract but I okayed that.

This was my second time using PODS. The first time I used them, everything went smoothly, which is why I chose to use them again. Unfortunately, this experience was completely different and extremely disappointing. After my container was delivered, I opened it to find leaves and dirt covering almost everything inside — even though the container had been closed and locked. The POD was moved after a major snowstorm, and there were no leaves or dirt on the ground at the time, so there is no reasonable explanation for how that debris got inside unless the container was not properly sealed or was opened at some point.
Every single item inside was covered in dirt. Furniture that was carefully wrapped was damaged. Glass cups that were boxed, wrapped in paper, and then wrapped again in bubble wrap were still broken. That should not happen under normal handling. All of the clothes that were hanging neatly on wardrobe bars were knocked off and thrown onto the floor. It looked like the container had been handled roughly or tipped.
To make matters worse, I was quoted two different prices. The final price ended up being significantly higher than the initial quote I was given. The lack of price consistency on top of the damage to my belongings made this entire experience even more frustrating. I trusted PODS again because of my first positive experience, but this time I received damaged furniture, broken glassware, dirt-covered items, and an unexpectedly inflated bill. I would strongly caution anyone considering using PODS to think twice.

I was relocating from Fayetteville, North Carolina to Novi, Michigan and I first went to U-Haul but I had so much cargo that it would not be big enough. My daughter had used PODS before transporting her daughter to school in Virginia, and she told me to just use PODS. She said it was wonderful, no nonsense, you schedule the date you want them to drop it off and pick it up, and you will not have any problems. So I did, and the price was reasonable. I had a wonderful experience.
I called to book the move and the first person I spoke with said the 8-foot pod would be sufficient since I was not moving appliances or bedroom furniture. I originally booked that. But after I put all my boxes together, I felt like I should have gotten the 16-foot, the longer one. He said I would be fine without appliances or bedrooms or furniture, but I had a lot of boxes and things. If I had listened to him, I would have really been messed up. When I got the 16 and loaded it, it was right at the door. I did not have room for much more. The 8-foot would have never worked. So that was somewhat of a misquote. You have to think about that when you are ordering. It depends on how many boxes a person has, and I had more than I expected. When I got to Michigan and my daughter opened the pod, she could not believe how many boxes I had. But the experience with PODS was amazing.
The drivers were very friendly and knowledgeable. When the pod was dropped off, I talked to the driver because I was concerned about the mountains between North Carolina and Virginia. He explained that I would go through a few hours of mountains, and when I googled it, it said three to five hours, so he was very knowledgeable about that. They were very friendly, courteous and excellent. Using PODS was no nonsense and a very easy transition. You do not have any problems, except maybe they need to critique the sizing better. I asked about a third size, but they said it was not available in North Carolina. I needed the 16-foot, and it worked out well.

Everybody was very professional. I used PODS because I was moving far away, and I knew somebody that had used them before, and it was gonna be convenient for me. I booked the pod over the phone and I had a very good time with the coordinator. But it was a little pricey.

I've seen PODS around and on the TV. When I was moving about 250 miles away, I used their service for moving and storage. I started setting things up on the phone and the process was pretty good. The only thing about the whole thing is you just get a lot of emails and a lot of things on your phone all at once. Even if you confirmed things, they still want you to confirm again. But the people I interacted with were pretty good. They changed their system right in the middle of my deal, so maybe that was why I was getting a bunch of double stuff. I called them and asked if I had to do anything else and they told me no, which was good. But when I got a text from the driver, I was a lot better off and I felt more comfortable.
My drivers were all great and I really liked them. They called and let me know when they were coming, and that way I could have people out of the way when I first left. And when I got here, the driver told me to give him a call by 3 o'clock if I was ready to have the pod picked up. And I didn't know that I would, but I did. So, that was pretty cool and he handled it from there.
I got 16-footer pod. I took my essentials and a few big things like the table, loveseat, and recliner. But I got my tools and stuff like that in there, together with boxes, clothes, and other things. As far as the billing goes, if I don't receive any more bills, I'm close to whatever amount they initially told me. I got a discount when I started and the total cost was pretty fair for what I did. I ended up leaving my stuff in the pod longer than I thought I was going to and it just stayed at the town right next to Lowell. I'd recommend PODS to somebody else. But if you just want to move your stuff, you got to pack it and you got to take care of your stuff yourself in the pod.

I chose PODS because it gave me the flexibility to do the move the way I wanted to do it, on my schedule. I was in charge of everything, instead of just having movers come and load everything up in a van and have it disappear for an undetermined period of time. For me, booking their service was pretty easy. When I wanted to leave, all I had to do was just decide when I was gonna be leaving and ask them to come drop it off. Then we loaded it up.
I decided to go with a 16-foot pod and an 8-foot pod. One of each. We had a little trouble with the door on the big pod. It was really sticky. We could get it to work eventually. But that was the only trouble that I had. As far as cleanliness, I wasn't putting my furniture into my new house. It’s a travel container. I didn't expect it to be immaculate. It wasn't dirty, because, obviously, been used before, but it was clean.
The delivery was tricky. I had ordered the 16-foot pod. I actually had quite a lengthy conversation with the person on the phone about where they were gonna put it because my house was on a hill. Not a great, big, huge hill, but a hill, nonetheless. They had to drive up the hill, and right at the top of the hill, before you could drive back to where the garage was, there was an electric gate. It's an older neighborhood. I went through that very clearly with the guy on the phone. I said, “Are you sure you can bring that here?” The guy said it was no problem and asked wow wide was the driveway.
So, then the driver got there with the pod. I had been talking to someone, probably in another state, about the way my driveway was, but I was very clear about it, what he didn't tell me was how much clearance was required on each side of the driveway. And my driveway was within two and a half feet of the side of my house and that wasn't enough room. He said, “Can you drive through the gate?” I said, “Yeah. No problem.” But, that gate wasn't big enough for that equipment to get through there. So, the driver was standing down in the street, scratching his head, saying, “This is not gonna work.” And explained to me why. I said, “Okay. Why can't you just leave it right here in front of the house? I'm in the street.” He said, “We can in some areas, but not in this town. We have to get a permit.” I said, “How long does that take?” He said, “It depends. It could take three or four weeks.” I said, “No. This has to happen today.”
They dropped them off on July 25th of last year. I loaded everything up. Everything went to California. PODS weren't the problem. The problem was the person that I went out to California with. This was supposed to be my final destination, was supposed to be California. But I got there, and there wasn't room in anybody's imagination for my stuff, where this person was living.
Now, the plan was to find a bigger house. I'm already looking. I was there from the 1st of August until the 1st of February of this year. And during that time frame, every time I would find a house, I'd say, “What about this one? This one's great. It's this big. It's got a two-car garage. And the rent is the right number.” But he'd say, “No. That one's too close to other houses. That one doesn't have any trees in the yard.” There was always something he said, which didn't take me long to figure out. This means we're not moving. And we're in a man cave. We're in an 850-square-foot half of a duplex, and I had just moved out of a 1,800-square-foot house. My math says that isn't going to work. So, I had to leave everything in storage with PODS. But then, when it came time, I said, “I can't do this. I'm gonna have to move.”
It was not that bad a process. All I had to do was call PODS and say, “Whenever you can, I want you to ship those two pods to Beaverton, Oregon or the closest town to Beaverton. If you don't have a PODS facility there, just somewhere close to Beaverton or Portland. And do it right away because I'm heading that direction. And as soon as I get there, I'm gonna find a place. I'm gonna have them deliver the pods to that place. I'm gonna unload, and I'm gonna continue my life.” And that's what happened. It was really simple. I got out of California.
They've always encouraged us to go to the website and use MyPODS.com and log in to my account. That's fine and dandy, but it didn't allow for the kind of flexibility that I needed. When I got to California, I had them get my pod down. I went over there, and I got a few things out of the big pod because my few things that were in there that I really needed were my clothes, ‘cause all I took was a small suitcase for the trip. I got a lot of my clothes out of there, and then they sealed it back up. I was manipulating both of the pods. At one time, I had them bring the smaller pod over to that duplex and drop it off. We unloaded everything from it, because what it had in it was yard furniture. I thought, “Well, we could put that in the yard. And I don't have to pay storage for it.” I had that delivered, and that's what we did.

I booked a container with PODS and I went with them because I was supposed to get a discount or a gift card from them through Costco, but I still haven't received that. Other than that, booking with them was pretty easy. I did it online and since there was only one size option available, that was what I got. It was a 16 and when it arrived, it was fine and clean. Overall, working with PODS was convenient, and it was pretty cool that you can have storage on site versus having to go someplace else.

I arranged a PODS delivery to our storage facility under the discount from Cisco. The first PODS arrangement was successful, so I thought. I realized the POD wasn’t as big as I assumed so I placed an order for a second one, only to find out the first PODS container was not reserved correctly and the representative misled me on the pricing by not informing me he had us renting the container for a month after the we emptied the container. I informed them that was not the plan to rent an empty container because we would no need for it after it being emptied and that I was not aware of the terms.
To reserve the second pod, we had to change our original contract and caused us an additional $500 from from what we were originally quoted. We were kind of stuck because they had our belongings in the first container already. After the delivery of the first container, which was delayed due to snow, they attempted to charge us for redelivery. We paid for all of the mileage and and delivery only to receive several statements that we now owe $1106 for mileage delivery, storage and redelivery.
BOTH PODS HAVE BEEN PICKED UP. We were told if the first POD was picked up before the 26th of February then we would not be charged storage. The POD was picked up on February 16th. The second was delivered on the 24th of February and picked up on the 25th. This was arranged with representative each time to avoid the drama and foolery I dealt with before. Needless to say, I have nothing for of PODS. Their customer service is subpar. One representative argued with me, they would never allow me to speak to a manager, never transfer me to stateside to speak to another representative.
If you can rent a U-Haul or use another service, I recommend it. I will not use PODS nor recommend to my family. My sister is moving from one state to another and I told her to avoid PODs. They frustrate an already stressful time, by not being honest with their pricing and services. They are ambiguous with their terms and conditions when scheduling your POD and taking your first payment which locks you into their tangled web of surprise charges and payments as they hold your POD for ransom. USE ANYTHING OTHER THAN PODS. I repeat I am still receiving notifications that they are attempting to debit my account $1106 for services for which I’ve already paid.

I worked with PODS previously for a business that I had managed, so I had good experiences. This time, I used them for moving and I got an 8' x 8' container. I'm older, so I hired local people to pack and one of the gentlemen had a lot of experience. He used to be a contractor with PODS. So, he knew exactly how to pack it. The pod traveled across the country, and there was no shifting in the pod. I reserved the pod two months in advance, and I was given a date. The reps followed up nicely with me and the pickup came early in the three-hour window. The driver was very knowledgeable and quickly was able to deliver and then pick it up again from me. So, I’m very happy with that. It went very smoothly. PODS is very reliable and does what they say they’re going to do. Plus, the price was what I thought it was going to be. I was very satisfied with the whole experience.

PODS was running a special when we signed up for their storage services and we chose them for their name. We booked online and our experience was fine. We got whatever their biggest pod was and we probably needed a bigger one, but they only had that size. The drivers were very positive and wonderful. Overall, it was a great experience. We were building a house, so it helped us not have to move our stuff around a million times. It was just in the pod and then out of the pod.

We rented the pod for a remodel of our home that we were doing. Booking the pod was a very simple process. I just went online and selected one and scheduled the time of delivery. It was easy. They were very prompt on their delivery time and also on their pick-up time when we scheduled it. The pod seemed to be weather-tight. The door itself was hard to open and close, but I was able to do it by myself.

I saw PODS in the neighborhood, and I needed to move a great deal of furniture from Arizona to Nevada. I did not need to use their workers to do it. I had people that were willing to load it in Arizona, and still willing to unload it here. I had my son help me with booking online. There were a couple of times when I was confused about what something meant and regarding what pick-up they were talking about, as opposed to what pick-up I was talking about. They were very knowledgeable and accurate. Also, PODS quoted me a rate for one of their smaller, 16-foot containers I didn't like and told them that, and they backed down and adjusted a rate that my son got earlier. The ultimate charges were exactly what they said they would be.
I live in Nevada, and my son was the one down there. But the neighbor's Ring camera had filmed it, and it was in an area that has an HOA. They were doing street work. I was concerned about all that. When they came to pick up here, the young man was very helpful. When they dropped it off here, they were very helpful because they needed to tilt it to get the door open. They explained that if they had to break the door open, it would cost me 800 dollars. But they were able to tilt it, and we were able to open the door with no damage to the pot. And the guy that picked it up was a nice young man. I have a super long driveway with gates, and they had no problem getting in and out safely. The pod was dropped off on the 7th in Arizona, picked up on the 12th, delivered here in Nevada the 21st, and picked up the 26th. It was a fast and positive experience.
I asked them, "Did you put it on a train?" The driver said they drove it, and I was shocked. They drove it from the Phoenix area to Reno, and it was all straightforward. They did exactly what they said they would do. My son knows how to pack stuff, so nothing was damaged or broken. I would recommend PODS to anybody who has the ability to have it loaded and unloaded, and if you have their big units. It's a super easy way to go. It made an unpleasant task easy.

PODS picked up my furniture from out of state and brought it to another state. Plus, they did storage for me. PODS delivered what they said they would deliver. And from picking up to dropping off to storage, everything was on time. I liked that there were no surprises. I like their organization because of what they say but it’s unfriendly when you use them because, like everything else, it’s automated. I am 68 and I like talking to somebody.
When I booked the pod, I talked to one person and then, everything was referred to the computer. Everything was organized once I get ahold of it. But it was an impersonal service, which is not good for me, because sometimes not everybody fits into the same box. You have different questions, but there is nobody to help. They want you to go through the computer, and the computer doesn't answer all your questions. You end up getting hold of somebody in the company to answer your question but you’ve wasted a lot of time.

Worst ever. Wanted to charge me 3x when I changed my mind and wanted my pods delivered back to the same address, same distance. $1330 going and wanted $3900 back. Very deceptive in information given from start. Poor customer service and no supervisors to speak to. Never use.

I looked at U-Haul first to rent a truck and use the truck for storage, but I realized that their day rental wasn't gonna work. But once I went to the PODS website, I found what I needed. I had some correspondence on text with the PODS reps, and then the driver called, and he delivered it within the window that he said he would. He put it exactly where we thought we wanted it and he was able to nuzzle it up next to the curb. We have off-street parking here, so that's where he put it. The delivery was great. The pickup was a ghost pickup. Originally, he was supposed to be here between 10:00 and 1:00, a three-hour window. I looked out there at about 10:15 and it's gone. He was so quiet, it was like he snuck in and took it. It's a big unit it made noise when he delivered it, of course, but I have no idea when he picked it up exactly or how he got it out of here without making any noise. So that was kind of amazing.
PODS had good service, good price, and quality equipment. They were easy to deal with. The only complaint I have was that we spent a lot of time texting. They sent me tons and tons of texts, and a few emails. It was a bit overwhelming, but they seemed to be trying to make sure that everything was ready for the pickup. It's not annoying because we get so much crap in our phones as well as emails, but it wasn't annoying. The length of time it took to pick up also bothered me. It took about 9 days to pick it up. In between, there was a big cold snap, but that wasn't part of the problem because it was warm and sunny when we booked it to pick up before the cold snap, and I thought they'd just come right over and get it, but they didn't, and that kind of struck me as odd in terms of management of resources.

I liked the price of Pods. I used them for moving and I booked my pod over the phone. I had a very good experience with their rep. She explained everything and took care of everything. She reduced the price when I told her I had an online moving company already booked, which I wasn't too sure about. They didn't get very good reviews so I was looking for something else. And she matched the price. Originally, it was 3,800, then she went down to 3,000.
It's an interstate move so it's a long move. I got the 16-foot container and it was perfect. The pickup and delivery went very smoothly. They call you ahead of time. The night before, they tell you what time they're coming and they give you a three-hour window. And the driver calls you before he comes. It was very organized. Also, the pod was all packed tightly. Others should definitely go through Pods. It's a lot cheaper than a mover. All your stuff is in one container and you have the lock for it. Other hands don't touch your stuff until you get to your destination.

I've used Pods before in other moves. Their price to have a pod shipped down is reasonable, but the monthly charge for the storage is high. Their website is also not as intuitive as it could be. When I went out there, I ended up usually having to follow up with a phone call. This time, the rep I dealt with was very polite and knowledgeable. I booked a 16 foot pod and I should have booked more. By the time I realized it, Pods didn't have the availability to do everything, so we had to use two different companies. We used Pods for one, then we used 2 U-boxes for the other.
The Pods driver called to tell me they were dropping the pod off, then they called when they were picking it up. My experience was overall very positive and this pod was much better than the one we had 5 years ago. It had a better floor and it was in better shape. We didn't have any damage to any of our household goods this time compared to the last time, so it was a much better experience. I would recommend that people use Pods, and if we moved again, I'd use them again.

I cannot get them to stop charging me. They claim they are all legitimate charges, but it is nearly two months after the move and I just got another charge. It is only a few hundred dollars, but it is getting old.

I booked the pod online. It was a simple process. The first driver that came and delivered initially was really great, very communicative. The one that came and picked it up did not communicate with me at all about pickup time. The one that redelivered communicated with me, and the one that picked up for the second time was just as good. So, the only one that I really had issues with the one that was the second or the first pickup.
It was a simple process from start to finish and it worked for me. The only thing that I had that was negative is I noticed that my stuff was super-duper freezing cold when it arrived at my home, almost like it had not been stored in a weather-controlled facility. I had stuff that was frozen and shattered inside of it, because there was some glass items that had liquid. Not a big deal, it didn't ruin anything, but I wasn't expecting it to be in a facility that would be affected by the cold temperatures that we had in Kansas City. It was picked up prior to the cold weather, so it shouldn't have happened. And then when it arrived, obviously, it was super cold, but it wasn't out of the facility that long where that stuff would have gotten as cold as it was.

Booking with PODS was pretty straightforward. The other part that was confusing was the pricing and how it was broken down. It was just a lot of charges and it was quite confusing to read the pricing breakdown. But the driver was very, very professional and very communicative. He let us know along the way when he would be there, and gave us 30 minutes ahead notification. Those were good. But the most challenging part for me was getting the confirmation so late the day before. I didn't get a final time window until almost late afternoon For me, it made my anxiety pretty high. Other than that, I hope that people use PODS because they have very good quality, and also, they are very on time about a lot of things, like delivery time. They're very on schedule. So, I like that. Their drivers are so professional. I really like that. Overall, my experience was very positive.

We booked with PODS over the phone after looking at it online just a little bit. It was fine dealing with the rep, but PODS likes to hide their phone number once you're into the process with them. They wanna do everything by email or texting. So, when you're having an issue, it's hard to find a phone number to call and speak to a person. The first driver was rather stubborn as to where we wanted to place the thing and where he would call it acceptable. And it tightened up our move a little bit because he didn't wanna place it where we asked. But we had no trouble with the other three drivers. Everything went off very nicely.
We're moving to a location in the mountains of Georgia and I couldn't get a full-size tractor-trailer because the road narrows to 10 feet and then becomes gravel. There wouldn't have been enough room to turn the truck around. So, they were gonna have to load a small truck at our starting location, transfer it to a large truck, then transfer it to Georgia into a small truck in order to be able to facilitate bringing a small truck in. We got two of their 16-foot pods and we loaded, packed and locked them. We had scheduled our services to be all done within a month's time and on the day they were supposed to pick up the pods, a snowstorm blew into town. They shut down services until after and we were into the next month. But I got hold of somebody to speak to. They picked them up, moved them in an orderly fashion and got them here on time. And it went off quite well.

PODS was quick to respond and I liked that. Whenever I called the customer service line, I got through to a person right away. And they would drop the pod off, I could fill it, they would store it, and then drop it back off again. I booked over the phone and the representative exceeded expectations, as well as the driver. I have a tricky driveway so when they pulled up, they called me when they were coming through my gate, and I met them outside. They told me they’ve got it. It was great. I was extremely satisfied and recommend PODS to a friend.

We were renovating a home, so we needed storage to put some stuff inside. We booked with Pods due to the size of their pods. It's not as huge as other options. It was easy to book online and anything that's easy for me is a win-win. The price was more expensive, but it was great. We got an 8x6 pod, which was small, and we thought we needed it longer but we just used it for a couple of days. All in all, our experience was great. I recommend Pods because they're reliable. They say they're gonna be there and it's good. I also love the fact that Pods is not too complicated to deal with. They make it so easy that my kids could do it.

I had a friend who used PODS in the past, and they said it worked out really well. I went with them and my experience was super easy. I booked it online and it was good. I had a storage container that got moved to my old house. It sat there for a couple of days to get packed up, and they transported it from Virginia to California. Then they set it down next to my apartment here in California. Then I unpacked it and they came and grabbed it. Both drivers that I dealt with were really great. They gave me enough communication. They gave me a heads-up when they were on the way over. It was nice.

I would recommend PODS. I made a phone call and had a lot of difficulty understanding the person at the call center. She's probably in another country, having just as hard a time understanding me as I was her. So, I went to the PODS in Lee Summit, and the manager of the place showed me around and gave me his phone number. That's what sold me on it, because he walked me through how it would go, but told me, “You're still going to have to call the call center to initiate.” He was nice. I went home, called the call center, got a different person who I was able to understand a bit better, and it was smooth sailing from there. I don't know if I would have pursued that, had I not gone out to a location.

This was our first time using a storage container company and its been the worst experience ever. I was quoted a different price than I would charged. Customer service was horrible and blamed me. The escalation supervisor was no better. I'd give them 0 stars if I could.

I'm in the Northeast, and we kept having snow so I had to deal with that and postponing, but it was a good experience. There was a problem with me getting online, so I couldn't do anything online, which we tried several times to reset. We kept trying to reset the password, but I never got the email back. Even the administration twice, at two separate days, tried resetting the password as well, but I never got that email to reset the password even though I got getting all of their emails. I don't know what the issue was. They didn't know either. I called at a weekend or after hours, so they couldn't transfer me to a higher-up to a technical person, so it never got resolved.
I had an issue with the original individual I did the order. He was new, and it took a long time. He couldn't find the address. I asked, “Don't you need the zip code?” He said, “No, no. I found it. ” And he asked me these questions, “Is there a pool next door, or this and that?” I said, “No, you have the wrong address.” In big cities like Houston, the same street name can come up multiple times. I don't understand why he didn't start with the zip code, or after he got the street address, he also got the zip code, because that wasted my time. That was strange.
PODS has a month to turn it around. Since I did it in the month of February, which is only 28 days, I was concerned what if it ended up being 30 days, but that's outside the month. PODS assured me there's a grace period, particularly for February. With the snow days, and scheduling some of the unpacking, I worked with different things. PODS assured me I wouldn't be charged extra if it went over a day or two. I would use PODS again if I have a small move, or if I need storage for a short period of time.

PODS has a referral service to haul cars. They use a subcontractor. They were very professional. The driver had an English problem. But he was really a nice guy, and they delivered the car right on time. We took the pods from California to rural Northern Colorado up by the Wyoming border and all the drivers were completely professional. PODS did wonderful work. They're really good people. Their pricing was a little on the high side but it was a great experience.
My only complaint is that it's discouraging to me to have to talk to somebody in Manila, Calcutta, or Malaysia. They're beautiful people. They do really good work. They're nice and professional. Some have a greater command of the English language than others. But I prefer PODS to use call centers in the Continental United States. I understand it's cheaper. But how much cheaper is it really if you go to a repressed American place? I'd like to talk to somebody in Lower Mississippi, North Dakota, or Central Louisiana.

I had a great experience with PODS. I used them for storage. I booked three, medium-sized containers through a call. It was a few years ago, and it was very positive. The drivers were excellent, friendly, and conscientious. However, the customer service call center was not great. PODS was supposed to deliver all three, but I only got one. The next day, the other two came, but they couldn't give me a time, and I never got a confirmation by email. I called, and the guy that I spoke with was not helpful. He just said, "They'll send you an email tonight," which I never got. The guy didn't resolve my problem. When I was speaking to him, he said, "It's not my fault. There's nothing I can do." He was not good. I woke up anxious. Other than that, PODS stored my personal property and kept it safe when we had to remove it from the house, and I got it back in the same condition. I unpacked it and put it away.

If I could score a negative star, I would. Terrible customer service, terrible experience. They canceled my Pod delivery at 2:30pm the day before my Pod was to be delivered saying that they do not service the area. I booked the Pod a month in advance. They had a month to cancel my order. They provided less notice than what they require of customers. Spent 1.5 hours of my time fighting with customer service with absolutely no reasonable resolution. Absolutely useless service and resolution. We had to scramble at the last minute to come up with a strategy to move my elderly parents.

We were having our kitchen redone and hardwood floors put down, and one of the subcontractors said to just get a pod in our driveway as a generic statement for an empty container, similar to the historic ‘70s, "Get a Xerox copy," so people go to a Xerox machine. When I heard "pod", I didn't do a comparison and went to Pods. I booked the company's largest pod over the phone and my interaction with the rep was smooth. I was not surprised by the price on either end and I thought, “Wow! this is really cheap.” However, I looked through a Costco magazine after the fact and found that people could get 20% off as a Costco member renting a pod.
Pods never mentioned the discount, and I don't blame them either, but then they would have to go through the whole thing, including AARP and military. That's on the buyer, so I have no issues that it wasn't mentioned. I should have known that. Besides that, the driver was great guy. I stood there and watched him do it with the lift which I found very interesting to watch. Overall, Pods did everything we expected and they were fantastic. Two neighbors looked at it too.

Pods was great. It wasn't too expensive, but it wasn't cheap. However, I was a little upset. When I originally ordered the pod, I was under the impression that the price I paid to order it was also the price to pick it up, 'cause it was 300 and something dollars, and then $300 a month for storage. When I asked them to come pick up the pod, they tried to charge me another $170 to drop it off with all my stuff in it. So, I had to pay it. They ended up giving me a $100 discount, but I still ended up paying $70 and that didn't sit right with me. I was led to believe that the original cost for them to bring it to me to fill it up and for them to store it and bring it back was all one cost.
It should have been free because I paid $300 for them to bring the pod. I loaded it, then they came and picked it up. They stored it and I paid $300 every month. When I was ready to bring it back to empty it, they should have brought it back. It could have been my misinformation though. They could have been upfront with me, and I just forgot. Besides that, the drivers were great.

Pods is absolutely fantastic and I will always go back to them. While I did not like the online tools, I talked with five different drivers and even talked to the Pods manager at the local facility where I moved to and they were all incredibly helpful and professional. We had a scheduled delivery date that was on the day when seven inches of snow were going to fall and I was without any furniture. The local Pods manager was able to confirm that both of my Pods had arrived earlier than expected and he could deliver them earlier than expected. He was fabulous. It was the difference between surviving our first snowstorm as Floridians and suffering. They were amazing.

Our experience went a lot smoother than I thought, and PODS was great. They seemed more consistent with reviews on the internet and had a nice sale going. We didn't know how long we would need it. We had to move. We had PODS keep a container in our yard while we tore our house down and put up a new one. I booked online and ended up talking to somebody. Everybody with them was very nice and helpful, and it was great. I got the 16 and it was a perfect size. I've already told others about PODS.

I signed up with Pods, received my invoice confirmation, and gave them my credit card a few days later, I called to tell them to deliver the pod a different date since my closing date was changed. Come to find out it was more money. Keep in mind I already received my full confirmation credit card in hand. I called about 5 time with no help. My invoice went up more than 500.00. They told me it was an error on their part. I was told I had declined the insurance. Who would decline insurance on a long move like this? I have called so many time. No one cares. I would like people to understand what has happened.

PODS is the way to go. It's better than having to rent a storage unit and take care of it. When I needed storage while I was remodeling, I booked with PODS online and my experience with them was wonderful. I got one of the 16-foot containers and it worked out great. The pick-up and delivery were very easy. They called me ahead of time, then they came when they said they would. The price was fine as well. I ended up getting a discount from Costco since I did it through them.

We’ve used PODS in the past for storage and moving. It’s an excellent way to move or between moves and start your move. We started going to our house and putting things in the container that we didn’t need right away, and it worked. My experience with PODS was excellent from start to finish, from the representatives to the drivers, to scheduling and communication. There was a small hiccup in the middle of the process when we needed to change a delivery day. I’m not very savvy with computers, and it wasn’t clear online which one was being delivered first. I tried updating it, but the reminder I received still showed the old schedule. So I had to call to be sure, and I'm glad I did. Overall, the pricing, scheduling, and service were excellent. If there was a hiccup, it was related to somebody needing to make a change or with some sort of verification.
The pickup and delivery process was perfect. The team was on time and professional. They tried to do what we wanted them to do and everything was placed where we wanted, even when it was gonna be tough. Overall, the price is very affordable. I had a coupon that had expired, and I understood that PODS couldn’t honor it. The day after I ordered, I received another coupon in the mail, and I was gonna call and see if they would honor that, but we were busy.

We were checking out types of services that could move some stuff for us instead of us having to use a U-Haul. When we called PODS, it was easy to talk with them and make all the arrangements. The pod was in perfect condition and we were very happy with it. It was a 16-foot pod, and it was clean. We got it on the 18th of December and it was returned on the 23rd of January. We had it for just a short time because we didn't want to incur any additional costs for renting it. One aspect that was not clear when we rented it was after we loaded it and they picked it up in Washington State, we didn't realize that we had to call again or go online again to schedule it to be delivered. It was towards the end of December and we thought they were just waiting until after the holiday then they were going to ship it.
When we realized that it hadn't moved, we called and we were told we had to physically go and schedule it to be delivered then schedule it to be brought to the house. There were too many schedulings that weren't made clear that we had to do. We had to schedule it to be picked up, then a separate schedule to have it go from Washington to our location, then another schedule to have it go from where it gets delivered initially to have it delivered to the home. But the customer service part of the experience was really good. Whenever we called, everybody at PODS was super nice, very helpful and understanding. The drivers that came out to the house were very good as well. The way the pod was loaded, everything was perfect by the time it got here in Tennessee. Nothing had shifted inside the pod. We had a great experience and we would recommend PODS.

We were selling our house and going to buy a new one. Unfortunately, our new house wouldn't be ready for us to move in, but we had to get out of our old house. So, we used the pod. We used it for things that we wanted to get rid of before for staging the house. We ended up storing our stuff from the end of September, and we moved to our new house on December 21st. However, it's limited days for pickup. You can select from Tuesday and Thursday. Otherwise, if you fit with PODS' parameters, everything went smoothly.
I mostly used the app when I could. I was not sure if I needed to talk to anyone to schedule a visit with the pod. I probably didn't need it, but we made a visit. You're allowed to visit your pod and PODS will pull it out for you. We did interact with somebody there because we weren't sure where to go to see the pod. However, it was limited because a lot of things could be done through the app. When we visited, we brought some more things to organize things for when we were ready to move in. We put some more things in and we used the extra space that we didn't use initially.
We were only there for the first drop-off, and then we started storing, and the pickup. We were only there for the drop-off and pickup. We happened to not be here when they were doing the delivery and pickup. They had to park the pod on the street so that it's not too far out into the street, but it's easy to get to. They did a good job getting things. It was a great service. It was convenient and reasonably priced.

I had two friends who had used PODS and they were extremely pleased. One of those friends is a very persnickety gentleman. He said his experience was absolutely great. I really had a great experience as well. It was like a one-stop. I called and got their input as to how big a pod I would need. And I was concerned about the placement.
I sent the nice lady at Pods pictures of my driveway, and she said, "Yeah, we can put it there if that's where you want it." No problem with everything. The driver came and he was spectacular. Because I came out and he said, "I understand this is where you want it." I said, "Can we do this and watch out for that? Don't encroach on my neighbor's driveway, only mine." Because I have a three-car-wide driveway. I had my half, and they did too, but I had my half of the property line between the two houses concreted in. So that gave me the third car parking. And he put it exactly where I wanted it, facing where I wanted it, leveled it. The construction company put the porta-potty right in front of it. So the whole thing was the least obtrusive it could be when you have a pod in your driveway in a suburban place.
The size of the pod was more than enough. It was not huge, but it was big enough. It was the size I had picked out because I had estimated this and that. I got a 12-foot, and I probably could have gotten a 10-foot. But the 12-foot was great because then we could move stuff around within the pod if I needed something and wanted to take it out in a different order.
Everything is 5-star except one thing. It appears that the wood in the interior of the pod was shedding sawdust. Because I had dust in quite a few of my tubs. I packed everything in sealed tubs, and I still had some dust in them. So I don't know if, beforehand, the ceiling of the pod or whatever had not been cleaned enough, or if it was just because the pod was not new enough. That would be my only comment. But even that was not a big deal.

A couple of my belongings were damaged because of the way the packers loaded the POD. The damaged items included a mattress, desk, part of bed set. The mattress was pierced by a piece of wood from the top of the POD. A large, heavy wooden coffee table was packed next to the leg of the desk; thereby bending the leg of the wooden desk. The unpackers damaged the dresser of the bed set and broke a part of Peloton bike. The manager on the delivery end (packer team) said he would coordinate Repair/replacement of the part broken off of the bike but as of this time, I have not heard from them.

We had done some online research and PODS using a pod worked to our advantage in pricing. We went with them and it was a good experience. When I called to book the pod, they were very helpful. Initially, the person that booked it made a commitment on a timeline that turned out to be not doable. They said it could be delivered at a certain time but it turned out to be a week later after we were at the house. But that was the only negative experience. Everything worked out perfectly. During both pickup and delivery, the drivers were fantastic. They were very friendly and helpful in explaining stuff. They were also very cooperative in putting the pod in the location I wanted and where I wanted it facing.
When they delivered the pod, we were having snowstorms and ice storms down in Tennessee and the dispatcher out of Nashville called and asked if they could deliver earlier. They wanted to help get it to us before the snowstorm and ice storm hit. It was the same thing picking it up. They couldn't pick it up until a couple of days later than original, but I was fine with that. They were very good at communicating and explaining everything through the whole process. I definitely would recommend PODS. Even after initial problem, they turned out to be phenomenal.

Dawn, the rep at PODS, was terrific. She was very helpful and it couldn't have been a smoother experience. I had eight pods on my property for storage because of the hurricane and it turned out fine. They were all the same size and it was perfect. Plus the cost was fair.

We had some 16-foot pods for storage. We're a car dealership and we were under renovation. We were able to keep some tools and some items that we needed to get out of the facility, but still able to keep them on site. It's nice to have that ability. When PODS first dropped, the interaction went well. They worked well and suited our needs. It was simple, efficient, and cost-effective.

This is the second time we’ve rented a PODS container for short-term storage during home renovations (placed in our driveway for a few months). The reservation, delivery and pickup process could not have been easier! Each time, the container was delivered in pristine condition and was placed precisely where requested. I didn’t think the PODS experience could get better, but I was wrong; with this delivery, their newer “placement/pickup method” was amazing — the drivers (both drop-off and pickup) were able to maneuver the 16-foot PODS container better than many individuals can park a compact car! Hats off to PODS for making a great service even better!!!

I loved PODS so much and I would recommend it. It was such a great decision. It was overall easier to use the pod than to hire a crew and have a truck driven. When I booked the pod, I did a lot of it online and then, the rep called me with the final pricing and walked me through everything. I logged back in, and the communication was wonderful. Everything was exactly what they said, and there were no surprises. The movers who picked up the pod and delivered it were very friendly and helpful. I was in customer service for over 40 years, so I’m a little picky, and I was very happy.
The pod was clean and the way we packed, it barely shifted. I took photos at the beginning and at the end, and everything was wonderful. When it got down here, it was not like the movers turned it upside down. The pricing was great. We were originally looking to move in October but we changed it to January, and it must be a slower month for PODS, so we got an even better price.

I booked my Pods service online and it was very easy. Everything was perfect in my experience. I got the medium container and it accommodated my needs very well. The man who delivered it was wonderful. The guy who picked it up was wonderful as well. However, I wish it were more reasonable. It's a little pricey, and spending all that money on remodeling, you don't really wanna be spending more money on other things.

I was doing a big move for a two story, four-bedroom house. I got two 16-foot containers from PODS and they were in good condition - sturdy and clean. I liked that PODS did storage as well. However, the booking process could use some changes. PODS offers the moving companies on the website but there's a disconnect. They don't communicate what they provide, like the tie-downs. PODS doesn't provide it, but the movers didn't provide it either. It's an extra charge and that's confusing. We ended up having to purchase some tie-down kits, which we're never going to use again.
When you get a moving company, they let you know everything they provide and what you're going to pay for including what the district charge is going to be. But with PODS, it's not clear. Also, I ended up firing the first moving company because they kept saying PODS was responsible. They were pointing back to PODS and it was like a finger-pointing contest.
PODS was good with the text messages. But they push automation and the automation doesn't have enough features. You still have to call somebody on the phone. That wasn't bad though. When I log in, it lets me schedule but PODS doesn't do same day drop-off and pickup. If the opportunity presents itself to do that, they should do it. When the guys came to drop off the empty pod so we could fill them up when I was in San Antonio, they said they could come back that day, just let them know within three hours and they could do something. They were more amenable to picking up the full pod. But this time, there was no flexibility on PODS' side. They wouldn't do it. When my pods were empty, I had to wait four days to get them picked up when I knew how close the PODS facility was here. I would still recommend PODS, but I would tell others to call the companies that PODS listed on their website and let them bid.

I was moving and needed to empty my house out. I needed a place to put it before because I bought my house and closed on the house I sold all in one day. I got a 16 x 8 x 8 pod. It was clean and of great quality. The day they said they were bringing the pod, they did. The day that the guy picked it up, we had a lot of snow on the ground and he was here bright and early and he took it and off. I would recommend PODS.

We needed a temporary storage container at our house for a project we were working on. PODS being the most advertised and me seeing them all the time, I went with them. I tried online but ended up calling because I didn't quite get through their online process. I wanted to make sure I talked to somebody and that I did it right. The rep was good.

Everything was good with PODS. I used them for moving and storage for the convenience and cost. I set it up online but when I spoke to a customer service rep, they were good too. We got two 16s and an 8, and I like that the experience was quick and easy though I should have used more as I had to get a 20-foot U-Haul. Some belongings shifted a little during the move but that was expected. I'd tell others to go for PODS.

I needed a short-term storage in my driveway. The garage was being renovated and I had to get everything out. PODS was an easy choice and the price is very reasonable. I called them and my experience was easy. I booked an 8 foot container which was exactly what I needed. The driver that delivered it was very experienced. It was a little tricky to jockey around to get it squared away with the front of my garage door. But he did it very efficiently. When another fella came to pick it up, it was the same thing. He was very experienced with hooking it up.

When I priced some things, PODS was competitive. I booked over the phone and the rep I spoke with was very good. I had an 8 foot container shipped from Arizona to Minnesota, and the drivers were very good as well.

I got multiple quotes when I booked a pod, and they sometimes contradicted each other. At the very end, I paid $500 more than what I expected. But after going through a whole move across country, I wasn't gonna argue about it. I had the pod for three days on one end, and seven days on the other. But I had it for exactly 30 days, including the transport. PODS was very convenient as they could drop my pod in front of my house and pick it up and deliver it when I wanted. There was a lot of flexibility in scheduling. Plus, I was not sharing a truck.

We had and are having an awful experience with PODS. We have given them a lot of business and most recently had our 16ft container dropped off on Thursday, February 5th. First, the movers they suggested were inexperienced and were struggling with what one of the movers said was an "easy" move considering we had mostly "light" boxes along with a few pieces of furniture. Some items were damaged! The movers brought so much mud into our new home--no preparation to change shoes and wouldn't wear the ones we provided.
WORST of all is now. So we advised PODS they could pick up the container on Friday, February 6th. They advised they would instead pick it up (and we have documentation for everything) on Saturday, February 7th. NO ONE CAME. We called at least ten times and were promised the pick up because we live in a townhome and the POD is actually hanging into the street so it's a safety hazard. Add the frigid weather and Thank God we parked away from our home so we could get out for food. Problem is our car was parked 2 blocks away so in the 20 degree below weather, we were pushing out way into with bags of food. Move to Sunday, we called and were told they'd be coming out but we knew they weren't.
Hence, we reached out to their facebook page, and were sent the information that PODS was coming definitively on Monday, February 9th between 8am and 11am and they'd call once they were on their way. NO CALL. NO SHOW. We called and time revised to 4pm-7pm. NO SHOW. We also have documentation for this. WE received a message that the address was incorrect that we supplied???? It's the same address the container was dropped off at. But guess what: the address listed on their order is their home base in Armonk NY. Every time we call, there's only one of two choices of who to talk with: one if you have an existing order; one if it's a new order. NO escalation process. NO emergency protocol.
We are possibly going to have to get it towed off our property and they don't care. One customer service rep, "Fern," advised she tried to call them for hours and they wouldn't pick up but noted our records. She honestly confided this happens a lot. That's the clincher. It's a horrific company. We can't get into our garage and the POD may be damaging our driveway. We were granted a day by our Board and they've been there 6 days so far. I'm sending the most recent communication and one receipt --we've paid them over $5,000 for storage and moving so if you need all receipts we can send them. This is one of over 10 receipts for storage and then delivery/pickup.

We got a pod to travel from Maryland to California. I like their price. I booked it online and I had some questions, so I called them. The reps were fine. They repeated themselves a lot, which is probably in their job description. But other than that, they answered all my questions and provided the services I needed. The drivers were all very pleasant and professional, and dropped it off and picked it up where I wanted to.

The Realtor I was using recommended PODS, and I ordered the pods themselves and storage. I did it online and over the phone, and both were very good. I also called them several times to reschedule a pick-up, and they were able to do it. The drivers were very nice. I talked to them as well as watched them load and unload the pods.

I've used Pods before and even though there are some new copycat versions, I gave them my business again because I was satisfied after using their service in 2017. Everything went smoothly, and all matters and schedules were on spot. I highly recommend Pods to anyone making a move.

Every representative I spoke to, especially Brian in Florida, was exceptionally friendly and willing to help me. The problem is/was that frontline customer service staff have absolutely no visibility into or knowledge of the PODS process concerning Certificates of Insurance (COIs) if there even is one. I literally lost count of how many times I called after the 6th time. The building management company where I work required a COI for me to be able to have the container dropped off at our building. I was given the e-mail address: COIreqest@pods.com to submit my request, seemed straight-forward enough. The problem was that not a single rep was able to help me when I called to make sure the COI would be received before the container arrived.
At one point, one of the reps informed me that the issue had been escalated and that the COI would be e-mailed to me by the end of the day (Thursday). It did not show up Thursday, nor Friday for that matter. It showed up the following Tuesday. I don't fault any of the reps with whom I spoke, as they all seemed to be genuinely concerned with assisting me. In some cases, they called me back to update me on the progress (as you know by now, there was none). There is clearly a training/process issue here that needs to be addressed. COI requests are a normal part of this business and there's no way it should take 2 weeks to get a response or an update, and there's no reason you should put your support staff in such a rotten position to try to solve something about which they have no awareness or knowledge.

From the beginning to the end, every person I came in contact with, whether it was on the phone or with the men who left off and picked up the pods, I had only good experiences. Neal, who picked up the third and final pod was especially kind and helpful. I am a COSTCO Executive Member since 2015. I went through this link and it quoted me $201 per month so I booked it in November 2025. I am being charged $487.42 per month, instead of the discounted Costco rate which is supposed to be 20% less. On 2/5/26 I spoke with Gaby B., PODS Supervisor, ID ** and asked her to fix the quote and charge me the discounted COSTCO Executive Member price going forward and also to credit me for the incorrect and over charges totaling $1216.26. She refused to resolve this issue but also stated she is and everyone at PODS is well aware of the COSTCO member discounts but will not fix the charges.

We scheduled our pod well in advance. It never came on the day it was scheduled. We were NOT notified of a delay. We were supposed to receive a 3 hr window for delivery the evening before and that never happened. The day of, I had a hard time getting through to anyone on the phone, (and someone who spoke clear English) once I did, I was on the phone for well over 30 mins to be told to give it another hour and maybe it will show up (at 4:00 on a Sat). It did NOT. I called again and was told that being Sat it was not coming and maybe it would arrive on Mon. I was also told that I would be given a discount or credit for my inconvenience. The pod was delivered on Monday. I called back regarding my credit and was told it could take 3-5 days. I never heard back.
I submitted another review and was called within a day to see why I gave the review as I did. I was then assured again that the credit would be looked into and they would get back to me. Still nothing. After this inconvenience, the move to our new home and the pick up of the pod did happen as scheduled. So, with that I am unsure of my experience with pods and whether I would recommend.

Delivery of empty pod was easy to schedule and driver showed up within the stated time window. Watching the PODZILLA apparatus in action was fascinating! Plans changed and my pod had to be kept in storage longer than originally scheduled. PODS was able to accommodate longer storage period with no hassle. HOWEVER, during storage at the PODS facility, in Raleigh (NC), the weatherstripping around the door failed and a great deal of water (flooding? heavy rain?) entered the pod. When the pod was delivered to final destination, we found the boxes nearest the door were sopping wet and contents ruined.
Delivery of the pod to the final destination in another state did not go as smoothly as getting the empty container. Primarily, the difficulties arose because PODS forces customers to use their online scheduling tool and it’s not a flexible or user-friendly system. For example, when trying to schedule delivery of my PODS to a neighboring state, the online system wouldn’t allow me to complete the reservation and said the destination was out of the service area. After jumping thru online hoops to get to a live agent, I was connected to a woman who had less knowledge than I did of how to book a delivery date for my pod. Every question I asked got the same response, “Please hold while I get that information,” which invariably meant holding for 15 minutes and then getting only half an answer. After a frustrating near 90 minutes on the phone with this agent, either the phone line glitched or she hung up on me.
Although she had taken my phone number at the beginning of the call, she did not call me back, so I had to start all over with another agent. Fortunately, the second agent was more knowledgeable and experienced, enabling him to schedule the delivery of the pod to Virginia. He clearly outlined the requirements for the delivery and gave me a summary of my final costs. The actual final delivery & pick up of the pod went fairly smoothly, but again the difficulties that arose were caused by the lack of an option to speak with a human instead of being restricted to an automated system with limited options for indicating the problem. For example, after the pod was dropped, the text confirming the pick up date had the wrong address. The automated system doesn’t have an option for “Press 6 to help us straighten out a bonehead mistake.”
After the pod was picked up, I got a customer satisfaction survey but it had no option for reporting a maintenance problem with the unit such as the faulty weatherstripping on the pod. Similarly, there’s no way to request a morning or afternoon time frame for pick up or to make the PODS driver aware of special circumstances. The late afternoon/evening time frame for our Dec. 30 pick up was confirmed the night of Dec. 29. We were concerned that if the pick up took place after sunset (4:30 in Dec.), the driver might have difficulty loading the pod in the absolute pitch darkness because there were no outdoor lights or streetlights at the pick up location. However, the automated system doesn’t have an option for getting a message to a driver or speaking with an agent except for making a new reservation.
My experience with PODS was uneven — some parts were great, while other parts were frustrating nightmares. Overall, renting a container from PODS allowed me to accomplish my project, but the memories of frustration and time wasted on trying to communicate with someone behind their Great Wall of Silence are stronger than positive feelings of a finished project. I would use PODS in the future, but will nail down every detail when the reservation is made and will insist on getting a way to contact a human being.

Pods was the greatest thing that ever happened to me, from taking my order and explaining how their service worked they were always so nice and polite. I will never be able to find another service so well tuned into everything they do. Their drivers were also very professional and polite, it was a pleasure talking to them and watching them move the containers around. I will highly recommend them to anyone needing to move local or long distance, they were always on time. They sure beat hiring a moving company, that's for sure.

PODS does a great job with communicating while ordering, delivering for a move. Absolutely great service! Where they fall down is being able to schedule the transportation across country, providing no updates related to POD location along the way, and providing decent estimates for arrival. In my case, I ordered transportation (about 2400 miles) about 15 days before my monthly rental renewal date thinking that this would give plenty of time to make the move, get delivered and picked up again before I needed to pay another month rental. Keep in mind that rental is NOT prorated, it's a full month or nothing.
After 13 days (on a Friday), the Pod arrives at destination facility, nobody notifies me that it has arrived and it is time to schedule delivery. Luckily I called that facility on Monday to ask when it was due to arrive (because my month is up on Wednesday and 'nother $200+ bill is coming) and that is when I am informed that it arrived on Friday. Now there are no delivery slots open for Monday or Tuesday, so Wednesday it is. Keep in mind that you cannot ask for a morning or afternoon delivery, it is when they say it is. Arrives late afternoon Wednesday, we unload Thursday and it is picked up Friday. Yep billed another month on Wed. when we only had it 2 days of the month, and it was mostly due to their scheduling, slow transport, and lack of informing me that it arrived.
Had they called, I could have scheduled delivery earlier in the week. Also, offering Saturday delivery/pickup would be helpful. So bottom line, make certain that you can schedule transportation well ahead of the end of your rental period or they will find a way to squeeze you for the extra $200-300 bucks, plus the cost to "store" it at the receiving facility for a few days that you can't have it delivered due to their schedule. You would think a "grace period" could be offered somehow, after all we are talking about 1 16 ft pod, stored for 3 months, transported 2400 miles etc.. costing about $5k all in. Again, very happy and would be 5 stars had they not snuck in another month and a few small fees at the end.

When we moved 3.5 yrs ago from the midwest to ABQ we had a nightmare of an experience with movers that turned out to be contractors. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Great alternative to using a moving company, although we did both. We filled up the POD to declutter the house to put it on the market, and used a moving company for the rest. It worked out very well.

This was the easiest order I ever made. Everything the getgo to the removal was seamless. Great price and great service. Our home was in the Palisades Fire and during remediation we needed a place to store items after cleaning to be restored to the house after all work was done. We did not want to use outside storage facilities for some items. The solution was the POD service. It allowed us to control items and return to use on our schedule.

We had to move unexpectedly twice in a short period of time. PODS was a great option to store our stuff safely and make that chaotic period of time easier to manage. I was able to easily and conveniently update our pickup and delivery times online as needed. When I did need to call and ask questions my calls were answered quickly and the service reps were knowledgeable and friendly. The grace period at the beginning of the month saved money when I had to keep the pod an extra couple of days on short notice. All in all an example of great customer service.

I had a great experience with Pods. I put in a request online and then very rapidly received a phone call. The reps were absolutely phenomenal. I gave the gentleman on the phone some of the articles that were going in there and together we decided that would be the best and it was the best. I had a 16-foot container dropped, transported, and then dropped in Georgia and then picked up. Everything went absolutely smoothly. Everything was on time and nothing was damaged inside the pod. It couldn't have been any better.

PODS is a nightmare company run by deceptive amateurs who specialize in milking customers with surprise charges after you’ve already paid thousands. I stored my household items in their container in Cambridge, Ontario, from June 2025. In December 2025, I arranged delivery to my new home in Edmonton and specifically asked for a quote to deliver DIRECTLY to my house address. They quoted and charged me CAD $3,706.64, which I paid in full based on that clear instruction.
Then the surprises started rolling in: A sneaky extra $194.92 appeared for “Edmonton warehouse to my address” – even though I’d paid for home delivery as discussed. When questioned, they claimed it was separate, completely contradicting my initial call. Next, a random $419.23 bill for “keeping the container to offload” from Dec 29 to Jan 2 (just 4 days!). They demanded full one-month payment or threatened collections, with zero proper explanation. I asked why this wasn’t mentioned during the delivery setup call – they said they’d “review the recording” but later claimed they “don’t have to mention it” because it’s in some document I was never asked to sign or acknowledge before charging my card.
This is classic bait-and-switch: lure you with a big upfront payment for “full delivery”, then hit you with hidden/retroactive fees for storage, offloading, or phantom “warehouse” legs you never agreed to. Customer service is untrained and evasive, and management seems complicit in these tactics. They hide behind vague “documents” while refusing to honour verbal agreements or provide proof. People, stay FAR away from PODS. They’re not a moving/storage company – they’re experts at extracting extra money without consent through confusion and threats. Use literally anyone else (U-Haul U-Box, local movers, etc.). Save yourself the stress, money, and betrayal. 0/10 – deceptive.

TL;DR: We were told transit would take 7–10 days, were never told PODS allows 30 days for long-distance moves, our containers sat in PODS’ possession for extended periods, we were charged an extra month because of it, and customer service ignored and closed our complaint without resolving anything.
This was an exhausting experience start to finish. We were told transit would take 7–10 days and were never told that PODS allows up to 30 days for long-distance moves. We originally asked for pickup on December 10, but PODS couldn’t accommodate that date and pickup happened later. After that, the containers sat in PODS’ possession for long stretches before and after transit, even while we were being told they were already moving. We were without our belongings through the holidays.
Because of these delays, we were charged an additional full month of storage, even though the timeline was entirely controlled by PODS. Trying to get help was just as bad. We had to reach out multiple times, including tweeting them, just to get a response. They sent one email, then stopped responding, closed the complaint without telling us, and later closed it again after review, citing the 30-day policy. The delays, charges, and communication issues were never addressed. Nothing was resolved. No accountability, no effort to make it right. If something goes wrong, don’t expect support.

The customer service communication is a nightmare. I specifically asked questions and was given answers about delivery and payment timing and I planned my move using these answers. I was told charges would be placed on my card the day before an activity only to have them placed up to a week before. I would call to ask about an issue only to find that delivery times had been changed from what I asked to have set and expected. I found that payment information was incorrect after spending time having a representative enter it. I was told that I would receive credits I did not receive. And the last but most hurtful pinpoint was to be told that all of my issues were my fault because agreement documents were posted on their sue under my account and all information was in them.
I was never told about this document section or walked through how to get to it. It was evident that representatives were being trained to say whatever and no one was being held accountable for bad information - least of all the company. The worse was to be told there were no more charges only to be charged more money after my things were in their possession. It was like I was paying ransom. I have decided it will be better in the future to rent several trucks and make several trips to accomplish a move. This way I’m not lied to.

This is my second try moving with Pods. I told myself after last time I wouldn't do it again, I should have listened! They are attempting to DOUBLE what they quoted me for my move when they picked my stuff up. I had to store it for a few month while I looked for a new house. It feels like I am being extorted. And their "customer service" people are more than unhelpful and argumentative. When I asked for a supervisor, they are unwilling to get me to anyone. They hold all the leverage because they have all of my stuff. I would HIGHLY recommend staying as far away from Pods as you can!

This entire experience was great. The original booking person, Deb **, was so fun and cheery - great experience. Told us everything we needed to know. The POD delivery was smooth and professional, with the driver giving us valuable tips. The storage was without incident - we did not go 'visit' the POD to retrieve anything. The rental fees were exactly as expected. When it was time to book the delivery of the POD to the final destination, the move manager was patient, friendly, optimistic - just what you need to hear. He handled it great, and you could tell he really looked after his crew.
The delivery of the POD was by a man out of Knoxville ... I think his name was Dan. Also just fabulous, full of tips and so helpful. He helped with many unloading tips that he didn't have to share - he was not unloading the POD for us. This must be a thing with PODS. EVERYONE was just amazing. Dan came to pick up the POD. They treat their customers with great respect. 3-4 days later, asked all the right questions. This was the best move experience ever for me, and I have moved over 30 times as an adult. PODS ... thank you. Thank you to your fine staff.

We rented a pod from PODS while we were renovating. We needed something at our house and didn't want to have to go to a storage unit. I called them and they delivered. When I called, everything was very well-explained. They were also running a special so the rate was great. It was three months at a discounted rate, but we needed it for the fourth month and it worked out perfectly. It's a great option for a storage unit. It's on your property and you can go and get stuff out of there if you need it, which we had too many times over.

Customer Service is all foreign operators and I can't understand them. Billing Dept is a joke. They have a card on file and have been charging it for months. There's no issue charging the card because I pay it off every month. That cards has a very large limit and we're nowhere close to that limit. We're many 10's of thousands of dollars away from that limit. So there's no issue charging the card. They've had 5 pods for 4 months. Everything was fine until I asked for the pods to be delivered. Now they're asking for payment over the phone and have me in their collections department!!!!! They won't deliver the pods until they charge the card. OKAY -- CHARGE THE CARD THEN!!!! NO PROBLEM!!!! Same as every other month. What's changed??!?

We were having a home renovation project and we needed to get all the furniture and stuff out of the rooms. I did some online research on pricing, availability and how long it would take to get, and we chose PODS. Their website was extremely easy to use. Then they came when they said they were going to come. They put it in, picked it up and they called. "We're X amount of miles away, we're a half hour away." There were no issues with picking it up.
We got a 12-foot pod and it was wonderful. We had snowstorms and extensive rain. We were concerned that there might be leakage in the pod or that something would happen. But there was absolutely no damage to any of our furniture. I also had a large piece of furniture in there that had several glass panels. I was concerned that maybe the change in temperature might cause the glass to break because the weather was so cold. But we had no issues whatsoever.
However, we had to have part of the pod on our lawn because it was too wide for just the driveway. We had it there for two months. Other than the grass being stomped down because something heavy was sitting on it, there were no issues with my lawn.

I booked a large pod from PODS online. I sell Avon so I have a lot of liquid stuff that I was going to put in the pod. But when I called to see if the pod was going into a controlled environment, I'm not 100% sure that the guy told me yes or no. I know they were foreign and very hard to understand. It sounded like he did say it was gonna be controlled, but I just took my chance because someone else told me it was. And I thought, "Okay. I'll take her word for it."
However, PODS wouldn't put the container where we wanted and they had an excuse for both places. First is that it was an old house where they dropped it off. For the new house, it was because they would have to go over a cement down spout lying on the cement. I gave them permission to go over it but they said they can't.
We originally planned to keep it at this new house for a few weeks, but we ended up getting it emptied that first weekend, because it wasn't placed where we wanted. I live in Iowa and if you don't move your vehicles when there's snow, we would get a ticket. We couldn't get in our driveway because of the pod. We ended up putting a lot of our stuff in the garage until we could do something about it.
As far as the transport, my boyfriend said that nothing moved or broke. Everything was like it was when we put it in there. He said everything was great. Overall, I was happy and I would recommend PODS.

I was very frustrated with my experience with PODS. My order was changed to the incorrect size POD multiple times, and luckily I reviewed my order in time to update it. Additionally, I was overcharged on each portion of my order, and had to make a call to PODS each time to have this corrected. I received a refund for my first overcharged amount, but am still waiting for an additional $224 to be refunded to my card. Additionally, PODS was unclear on when they would be providing their city service. Overall, I was very disappointed by the customer service and numerous amount of issues I had with PODS. They only added stress during my cross-country move.

I had a good interaction with the drivers but they forgot about me on the last day. I scheduled it the same exact day that I scheduled for drop-off at where I was moving. It had to go into the street, so I had a permit. The permit was only good for one week. While they were supposed to pick it up, I kept getting different pickup times. I kept calling and telling them my permit will expire and didn't want a fine. PODS said they were coming but then I got a text saying they'd come 11:00 to 2:00 AM. But they never came.
So I got another permit and they said they would come the next day. Some guy from one of the pod things called because they only pick up one day a week here, and he asked me, "Were you not there? Was it locked?" I said, "No. They kept telling me they were coming. And I was the next stop and they never came." I was in jeopardy of getting a fine. The guy said, "I will be right there," and he did.
Everything was good up until that last day when PODS kept telling me they were coming. That communication was terrible. It was very hard to get a person on the phone since it's very automated. They just kept saying, "You're next. You're next. You're next. Oh, well, we can't look up this information. We just know you're on the schedule." It made it kind of frustrating. Also, one pickup day a week is kind of crazy. The availability of days to move were very, very limited. In terms of the price, there were a lot of fees added during moving day. I paid $40 for them to pick up an empty pod that they left there a day late.

I needed to move some furniture out of the house for a remodel for a few months. I went with PODS and did everything online and the process was very easy. We got the 16-footer pod and had it on site for about one week when we loaded and then one week after we unloaded. Otherwise, it was at the storage facility.

We had a hard time getting the pod to open because the latches didn't line up just right. I called PODS about it and they were gonna send somebody out. But I went in the house and got some WD-40 and started spraying it all over, and it worked. So I called them back and told them I didn't need anybody to come out after all. We got the biggest pod and got a fair price for it.

I called PODS to get all the booking done because I like to do it person to person. We did three pods and another one as a reserve pod. All of them were the full size pods. They were good size. I spoke to so many people from PODS. I had confidence in the local guys and the drivers. But with the people on the phone, it was very shaky. We had to delay because the floors are not ready. So I made changes, and then behold, they've made changes just for one pod, not for four pods. The language got a little convoluted there because they were all primarily Asian. They were all sweet and very, very pleasant. They tried their best, but on a couple of them, I could not get it across that we needed to move the two PODS.
One time, the driver called me and said, “Hey, I'm ready to deliver.” But I told him, “Wait a minute. I called three days ago and said we moved the date, and talked to the lady on the phone.” Before I knew it, there was a text to me of $75 late change fee. I called the lady back and said, “I'm not paying that. I called that in three days ago.” But because of the language difficulty, she didn't understand the dealing with four pods. This was all right before Christmas. But I've lived overseas. I speak multiple languages and have traveled cross-culturally many a time. So I understand the difficulties.
It did not work well for us, and I was always having to be on the phone. My only confidence came when I was able to talk to a local manager. I said, “Okay. This guy says I'm gonna have the PODS delivered here in two days. Great.” So then I knew they would be, but I had no way to contact the local PODS people. I had to go through the 800 number, and I said, “Well, I need to have more confidence in my planning and arrangements because we've got family coming in. We got Christmas. I got work. I need to know for sure what's going on.” Going to the 800 number would take two hours to get it done, and even then, you weren't sure if it was gonna happen or not.
When the local guy and the one lady from the 800 number said, “Hey, I'm gonna bump this up,”. I said, “Great.” When they bumped it up a notch and I was able to talk with the local manager, I was able to know for sure when the pods are coming or when they were gonna be picked up. But that system of communication was very frustrating, and there was no real good phone number to talk to the local manager. Everything has to be calendared to the day as best you can to the hour. They give you three-hour window but I also had movers all lined up to come and I was having to change the dates with the movers if they were available. It was just crazy. But we eventually got through it.
The empty pods sound on the street, had two empty pods the last go around, and they sat about a week in front of my house. But the logistics of what we needed, the moving and the holding it in Texas until we needed it in Birmingham, worked great. I would do PODS again but I really wanna talk to someone who knows exactly what's going on. As nice as they were, I needed to have confidence, not in their niceness but in their ability to confirm everything properly.
The price with PODS was a little higher than I wanted, but it was the best option that we had. To move with the moving company, it would have been more expensive and more risky on our furniture. I had professionals pack everything in boxes. I had another professional team come in and load the pods. Then I had a professional team come and empty the pods. So I had professionals all around and we haven't found anything broken. So for me, that was good. But that was because we invested in professionals doing all the basics.

I was trying to figure out how to get my daughter's stuff home from graduate school. I called PODS to inquire and the agent that helped me on the phone was super knowledgeable and made it super easy. Then I just logged in to book the pickup date or the drop-off date. Getting in online and talking to the agents were easy. I had a question once and I called the agent and they were very knowledgeable and they helped me. I scheduled it and then they dropped the pod off. They called me ahead of time, they dropped it off exactly when they said they would, and it was exactly as planned.

I'm older and a single mom. My realtor suggested that it would probably be easier to have people come in to move my stuff one-time, hold it for me, and then deliver it to the new place instead of getting a company to move it to a storage, pay storage, and then get a company again for delivery.
The initial booking was done online and was very easy. I moved from a five-bedroom to a three-bedroom house, so I got the large pod. Because my new house wasn't ready yet, I made a call to PODS to change the service from moving only to storage and a move.
The movers were very kind and knowledgeable. I moved to a mobile home park, and they negotiated with the park for me just to let them know the stuff is not going to fit in the carport.
In the end, it was just like my realtor said. It was a lot less expensive to go that route.

I have seen PODS in the driveways in several locations in this area. We had a horrible storm and I needed to get some items out of my house so that they weren't damaged more while we were trying to repair stuff from the tornado we had. I called the number, and they did a great job of getting back with me.
My driveway has a turn to get into the garages. When PODS got here, they could not place the pod on my driveway because it was too long and it would have damaged the flower beds to back it in like they needed to do in the yard. And so, they parked in front of the house. The pod had been sitting out here for several weeks when they called me and said they had to pick the pod because the city called them and said it was against the ordinance. That it would be towed at 7:00 the next morning.
I was in Missouri when they called, so I tried to call around and get in touch with somebody from the city but nobody could get anything to me. My husband's a football coach and so we called a couple of the football players after a game, and they unloaded our stuff that night. The PODS guy came and picked the pod up that next morning before 7:00 so that it wouldn't be towed.
PODS is a good company. It wasn't their fault any of it happened, and they worked with us real well. They did a good job of getting the pod delivered when I needed it. It was sturdy and very clean. I didn't have it transported anywhere, just left in front of the house so that we could do what we needed to do. They also did a good job picking it up when it had to be removed.

I did the booking online and as I was finishing up, I saw there was a discount that I didn't get. So I called and we went through five phone calls to get it corrected. Each time somebody would set it up, they would get the discount but they would forget something else. So we had to keep doing it until it was finalized.
Initially, I was thinking if I should pack everything up myself and have a local mover take it to a storage place, or if PODS was a better option. In the end, PODS was too expensive for storage. The local movers would have probably been the better option. It was nice to have the movers do the packing for me, but I don't think they packed it exactly as I would have. I'm not saying they did a bad job because nothing was broken. Also, at one point, we were considering getting something and putting it back in the storage, but it was a long distance. If the storage was local, I could have done it. I might use PODS again, but for moving.

We rented a pod for two months because we had to move furniture out of the home for a remodel. The name's well-known and my neighbor had PODS in their driveway at the same time, and so I tried it as well.
No issues when setting it up online, but we found a glitch in their system wherein the driver has a record of which way the pod should be facing although there wasn’t really an option for that. It happened to my neighbor as well. Both of the drivers showed up with the pod facing the wrong direction—facing onto the yard instead of the driveway. And so both times, the pods had to be flipped when they got to our home, and the driver was pretty rude about it.
It's common sense to have the door facing the driveway, not the yard. If you're going to be rolling dollies, you need concrete, not the grass. They were trying to make it out like it was our fault, when the same thing happened to our neighbor. So we weren't happy with that. I wasn't frustrated as much as the driver was, but he was in too big of a rush to have to deal with what I wanted.

We were doing some work in our basement and we had to get everything out then put them back in. So, I needed a pod for about a month. I researched PODS online and then I called them directly over the phone. We reserved a 16-foot pod and then booked it and they delivered. It was wonderful. I had a couple questions that they answered, and I booked a container, then they called and let me know they were on their way. The container sat in my driveway way longer than I wanted it to, but that's not the company's fault. My experience with PODS was easy. Pods was great. I booked their largest pod on the phone and the rep was a joy to talk to. I didn't have a problem. There was a computer glitch that showed I was moving 50 miles away when it was only 3.3, and between the rep and his supervisor, they navigated through the computer glitch and handled it. The drivers were great too. They were down-to-earth guys, and they delivered and picked up on time. They dropped the 16-foot pod off, I filled it then they picked it up and delivered it. The only problem I had was the pod's handle. Pods needs to make the handle a little better. Also, I wish I would have had two pods, but the price was 800. It was a little expensive.

I like that PODS has bigger containers than the other company. Once I started booking online, they immediately were calling me and offering me huge incentives. Their rep was excellent. They made the experience very simple. The drivers called and told me that they were on their way. We had one particular instance where the house was closed up and they were getting ready to come take the furniture from the house. Apparently, I had not put the lock on correctly. But instead of the driver just leaving like he was supposed to then calling for a different pickup time after I've corrected the issue, he sat there and waited for me. I had difficulty doing the lock and he helped me. He didn't have to do what he did. I was very appreciative of the fact that he spent some time and didn't blow me off.
I would recommend PODS. They put the pod exactly where it needed to be on our driveway. Our driveway had a unique curve to it, but the person who dropped it off did a very good job of doing that. How they manipulate the pod is interesting as well. They have a lot of control whereas some other places don't. Once it's down, you can't move it. This one, the pod people are able to manipulate it easier. I found that to be an advantage. Moving is not any fun to begin with but PODS made it a little bit easier, where I didn't have to worry. I wasn't concerned about my furniture and other belongings.

When I talked to PODS on the phone, I was impressed. What they were telling me was how I wanted to get my stuff done so I went ahead and booked two of their large containers. I had two different drivers, and both were nice. They knew what they were doing and were straightforward. If I had questions, they had the answers. PODS did what they said they were gonna do and I'd use them again if I have to. I wouldn't even bother searching to see other discounts or rates. When you find somebody that does good work, that does not make a difference. I would strongly recommend others to look into PODS.

I liked the fact that PODS can move furniture and store them. However, when I had to book for my pod to be delivered, I had to call and that took a long time. Also, if you're moving to another city within the state, you need to move the pod to that city first before it gets delivered to you. I thought the pod could come from where it was stored directly to me. Other than those, everyone was extremely friendly and respectful, and I had a good experience.

The local drivers have been amazing! Customer service has been nothing but a pain. Texting, chatting, and calling are full waiting and AI generated answers that are not helpful. When money is due they are all about calling/answering but during transit and trying to schedule when delivery needs to happen they are inflexible and not clear. We have been without our beds, couches, clothes, etc going on 5 days. With the expected delivery date for not another 5 days. Every time I finally get a hold of someone they just tell me what the AI answers.

Hated that I had to call for everything and that the website was not more interactive, and hated that I had to stay on the phone line forever with multiple people until I got to a manager who finally understood what was going on and was able to resolve all the issues for me. I was moving across the country with no definitive address as I was staying with family until I found a place. I went with PODs as they provided the transportation and storage while I was looking for a home. Everything was going smoothly up until the point that I found a place to live. Part of the blame does land on my shoulders as I only knew the general location of where I was looking. My new address ended up being at most 30 minutes out of the storage centers delivery range (I used the family member's address as the final location and my new home is only 30 minutes away but can not be delivered from that storage facility). In order to get my POD delivered they had to do another quote costing close to an additional $1,000.
PODs is no longer unique and if it is the only moving & storage option then it isn't absolutely terrible but I would highly recommend going with another company. There will be hidden fees, no assistance from customer service, and the flexibility & speed I thought would come with PODs is practically non existent needing an additional 2 weeks to deliver my stuff (Not terrible but not what I was looking for from this experience). Was it the worst experience ever, no, but I wouldn't recommend them if another option is available.

Not happy. I set up a pod via the website. They were running a promotion for $119.30 recurring monthly as it was titled in the attached pic. Got my bill for $191 and called to complain. I was told that was just for the first month. No one ever explained that at all. Deceptive misleading possibly false advertising. I’ll be contacting the BBB as well.

I used PODS to move furniture from Montgomery TX to Issaquah WA. I used the small single room container that had more than enough room to spare after loading it up. The container was clean, and ample space and tie down attachments for holding things in place. I did buy some insulation foam from Home Depot to balance out and protect the large furniture from the internal structure beams to lean the back of furniture up against, but otherwise cardboard for all other items packed well. One large mirror was of concern, but that was wrapped in packing blankets and arrive in good shape. (I was slightly worried about the roughness of the truck hauling from TX to WA and the mirror.) Initial dropoff and pickup, and arrival dropoff and pickup all went smooth, and timely. Great service.

PODS helped make a cross country move simple and affordable. Only problem was actually getting a hold of a human when I had questions or needed confirmation - automated system is useless and wait time is unreal. Never received the refund of $75 that was wrongly charged that they said they would refund. I never changed the pickup date. PODS took it upon themselves to pick it up a day prior then charged me for it! Now I have to call again to get this resolved. Will not be using PODS in the future.

We used PODS in order to from Brampton to a nearby community. As there were several days between our house stand getting our new house Pods was able to briefly store our goods. Everything arrived unbroken and the phone associates and delivery truck drivers were professional and courteous. A conventional moving company would have cost us 4 times as much money.

NO ONE wants to be responsible for driving a moving van, maneuvering it through the neighborhood, having to worry about parking, theft, gas....Renting a POD was the smartest decision I made in my recent relocation. I was able to take my time loading and unloading it after each delivery, and had the flexibility to reschedule the "move" to accommodate a fluid closing date. With so much going on after the first few days in the new house, I literally forgot about the container once it was emptied. Because the initial rental agreement included the first month, however, I had plenty of time to schedule the return without incurring additional cost. This is genius! Save the daily rentals for the occasional road trip, and leave the heavy lifting to PODS!

Great service from initial phone inquiry to final pick up of the containers. Drivers kept us updated on their location during drop off and pick up, which made things very easy. Hopefully we don’t have to move again, but if we do, we will absolutely start with PODS. A great experience!

Great experience and service, made my move smooth and easier. I don’t feel I was rushed at all, I had 30 to pack and unpack my pod. Also flexibility with changing the date and time was very important as things change between the time you order it till the time you are completely unpacked and done. Customer service and the drivers were excellent.

Our POD was delivered on time and placed exactly where we requested. The door track was slightly damaged, making it finicky to roll up and down, but we managed, although we worried that we wouldn't be able to open it at our destination. Packing the Pod was a real challenge, fitting boxes into every crack and crevice - watching a few packing videos really helped. We also took the time to pack boxes carefully and wrap all furniture. We also shipped a pinball machine and puck bowler, and both arrived in great shape. It's all in the packing!
Upon arrival, the contents had shifted slightly and a few boxes tumbled out. Thanks to good packing, damage was kept to a glass juicer and a wine glass - that was it! The delivery person helped us horse open the door (as expected, it was tough) and we unpacked over two days. Billing was exactly as quoted - a relief. In all, I would do it again, but maybe pack lighter boxes next time!

Excellent service and good customer support. I highly recommend it. The move was quite seamless because of the convenience to store the boxes and to unload them. The drivers that delivered and moved the POD were seriously skillful handling and positioning the POD. The customer service was almost perfect if it was not for one mishap in the scheduling.

Both drivers called ahead, kept me informed and were hard working and pleasant! We had difficulty closing the pod door in TX and opening it in MO. Both worked hard to resolve the issue and wouldn’t leave until I was completely satisfied. The drivers couldn’t have been more polite and professional. Because of them I would use PODS' services again. I highly recommend PODS to family and friends. Thank you for all around company excellence. One two three four, who am I cheering for? PODS.

Easy. The drop off and pick up was superb! The guys were friendly and knew exactly what to do! The customer service reps were knowledgeable and provided excellent service to people who had never used PODS! I thought the storage fee was a bit pricey but all our goods were in good shape when the pods were returned!

PODS made my storage and move VERY easy. MY story is I moved to South Africa for just under 2 years, When we were leaving, the PODS containers were dropped off in my driveway and allowed me to pack up on my timeline. Then when we left they were picked up and stored in their storage site. Fast forward 22 months later, I'm back in the US and moving into a new house. The PODS containers are dropped off in my new driveway and I unload at my own pace. When I'm done unloading, I schedule the pickup and a day or two later they're out of my driveway and my big move is complete. It was SO EASY and I super recommend this service to ANYONE who needs to move.

This is our second cross-country move with PODS and we can't recommend them enough. Frictionless process, secure, timely, at a fair price. The only missing feature that would greatly improve the product is to be able to install full-width shelves/platforms for improved loading efficiency. We have two more waves of PODS in our move and I will be building my own platforms.

The Pod was delivered on time. It was fun to watch the unloading/reloading, when the time came. It worked perfect for us and met our needs! There was one issue, it leaked. The bottom side rail needed to be re-caulked. Thankfully, all that was ruined was 10 pieces of poster board and a few of our box bottoms got wet. I notified the driver and hopefully this was passed on to the people who could take care of the Pod. I would rent again from them!

Recently found out that the price charged is inconsistent from customer to customer. Neighbor got a MUCH better rate than I was getting so, I shopped around and found out that I could get a climate controlled storage unit, almost 2 and a half times the size of the POD I have rented for just shy of 2 years. Yes, I have to move my “stuff” a very short distance but I will save myself over $800 a year. Shame on ME for not doing my due diligence before renting a POD.

Service from beginning to end was great! Everyone we dealt with was great, very helpful, thorough and made the move seamless. I would definitely recommend PODS to anyone I know who will be moving or storing things. PODS storage was so easy to use and affordable. If I would’ve checked about pods before I would’ve used every time.

Everything went well. Contents did shift while in transit. Nothing was damaged. Only complaint. I paid for a lock that I never received. The gal mentioned the lock when she dropped the pod off but drove off and never came back. Maybe you can issue a refund for the lock. Thanks.

Most of the delivery, transportation and pickup was seamless. However, scheduling the delivery was somewhat problematic and tedious. Delivery in San Francisco required the use of City Services as the POD couldn't be left for unloading. When I realized the POD had been delivered to Oakland 8 days before it was scheduled I asked for an expedited delivery. I was hung up on three times, before I was told I had missed the open slot 5 days ahead of schedule that I had been holding for. It was very frustrating and infuriating.

Hello. I was happy except for a few things. Door on one of the pods was difficult to open. Maybe a better handle to help open? Her driver picked up, he made us come out and shovel around the pod. I did not get informed with pick up that we would have to shovel around the pod for pick up. Maybe add that in there if weather was snowy then people are to shovel around the pod. We were the asked to do this to our second one so when the guy came back, it would be shoveled around it for him at pick up. I was taken aback by this. I’ve never been asked to do this. Inclement weather is not my fault and had no notice to clear out the snow around it. My husband had to stop working to do this. Notice is appreciated and to be told to do this and again when next pod was picked up was concerning.

Our dealings with Pods was excellent. We have used you twice and recommended you often. Drivers were professional and friendly. Your recommendation for mr car shipper was extremely terrible. Worst service ever. Will discuss if you want to reach out. Twice they failed to pick up our car. Had to leave it in a not ideal spot. We closed on our house, were staying in a hotel and had a flight to Florida booked. They took our initial order and closed the entire company for 4 days at Christmas without telling us till after they left. No way to reach anyone. We gave them a second chance and they again failed to pick up our car. We have now incurred hundreds of dollars in rental cars and are still trying to get our car. We are in a new home in Florida with no car. We may have to fly back to Massachusetts to get it. We took your recommendation seriously. Please reach out for more info.

Great company all around and in every respect. Wonderful experience. Couldn’t be more happy with the service and the people we worked with. Equipment is just as they say. Easy to pack and easy to unpack. We were thoroughly happy with all aspects of our move with the PODS system.

My experience with PODS was very positive. Everything went very smoothly from ordering the POD to having it removed. I ended up needing it an extra month and that was no problem doing. If the occasion ever arises again, I will not hesitate one minute to use them again. I also thought the price was reasonable.

Communication was amazing, before during and after each encounter. They didn't try to upsell me. I liked they were able to store the POD when it came from pickup and drop off to keeping it because life happened and had to ask them to store the pod for a few days. The price is a little high.

I changed my FL pick up date by 2 days and it increased the delivery date to TN by 7 days. This increases moving costs, for temporary living expenses. If this would be known I would have used a different mover. Don’t use Pods.

PODS made moving way less stressful than I expected—and that alone deserves applause. The price was fair and transparent (no surprise “gotchas”), the customer service was genuinely great (friendly, helpful, and actually listened), and the convenience was unbeatable. Being able to load and unload on my own schedule felt like moving with superpowers. The container showed up on time, was clean and secure, and pickup/drop-off was smooth as butter. If moving usually makes you want to pull your hair out, PODS is the calm, organized friend who shows up with a plan. Highly recommend! 🚚📦✨

The CSR who took my initial call and booked my order was phenomenal! The delivery driver who dropped off the empty container, also phenomenal! The delivery driver who dropped off the full container at the new address, also phenomenal! The pickup driver who picked up the empty container, he wasn't as good. Claimed he couldn't get the container out due to "low wires", yet the drop off guy got it in just fine. Then he ran over his wire pole, and told me I would have to help him, but I was shoveling the snow and ice off of my stairs.
Only other problem was when I needed a second, smaller container to finish my pack out. I was under the pressure of closing. I called first thing in the morning and asked for an 8x8 container the next day. All I got was "no", "scheduled is full", "one of our trucks broke down", "can't be done". I had to use your competitor, who delivered without issues. For the initial container that was delivered, everything was great. Lastly, the positioning of the eye bolts for tying the load off, (I used ratchet straps), leaves a lot to be desired. They seemed to be randomly placed, especially the ones toward the back. They did not facilitate a clean tie off.

We had your team deliver a POD to my brother's apartment in Pascagoula, MS and pick it up and you stored it for a few months and then delivered it back to his new apartment in Pascagoula, MS. Your drivers and we met 3 different ones, were all FIRST CLASS and so polite and friendly. The POD was spotless when it was delivered and when it was picked up and then returned, it was like it had never moved. There was nothing out of place. The time and care in delivery and pickup/return was great. You have a FIRST CLASS professional team. We will definitely be using your company again when we need temporary storage.

Hello PODS, Our move from Northern CA to SC was super easy & convenient using a 16' POD. From the initial reservation with Justin in FL to the delivery of the POD by George in CA, everything went smoothly. Special kudos to Brittany who delivered our POD in SC. She had to navigate a tricky cul de sac and curved driveway. She even made sure the sliding door opened before she left.
