    PODS moved my household goods from Houston to Colorado and they stored it for three or four months before I was ready for it. I went with them for the price and convenience. I booked online. The Houston office was amazing and they saved the day so I deeply appreciate them. I had some people who didn't do a good job of packing the pod and I ended up having to need a second one and it was on a Saturday. I called the local Houston office and they found me one and got me one out there so that they could load the second one. The drivers were also outstanding.

    However, PODS didn't deliver in Colorado. I live up in a mountain town and they weren't sure they could get it up the mountain so I picked it up at the facility. While I understand they were going through management changes, they were supposed to send somebody up to check to see if they could deliver and they never did. I ended up hiring movers to drive to Longmont, where their storage facility was, to pick up the pod there. It worked out fine but I felt they dropped the ball in the Longmont facility.

    I chose PODS over other storage companies because of my familiarity with them from seeing them around. I had a medium-sized pod dropped to my house and stored on location for a month or so. The whole end to end experience was better than expected. The people I spoke with on the phone were very friendly and helpful. Also, I met the driver during drop off and talked to him as he was maneuvering the pod into position. I understood what he was doing and we had nice a little exchange to make sure everything was at the best position possible. The driver was courteous, very skilled at what he was doing, and I appreciated the calls along the way.

    Everything went perfect and extremely smooth with PODS. We were having new flooring done at the house, so we had to move the furniture out and put it in a pod and move it back in. I booked PODS’ services over the phone. I did not have a problem with their reps. They were here when they said they’d be here and the pod was picked up when they said they were going to pick it up. We got the big pod because it was the size that I needed. It was clean and wasn’t beat up. Its appearance was excellent. The driver who dropped off the pod put it where he suggested it. He asked where we wanted it. I told him and he explained to me that that wasn’t a good position to put it and I agreed. We were very, very satisfied with PODS. Completely, 100% painless.

    March 27, 2017 our renters had PODS coming to pick up their moving POD. When dropping off the POD the renter had to warn them of the overhead power lines (which you would think they would have acknowledged on their own). We are a farm and have power lines that belong to us that power our water for the houses and the barn. In the process of pick up the container POD's driver torn down 2 of our 3 power lines to our pump house. I had to leave while he was over at the house, so was not here when he removed it. Returning, in the afternoon I found we had NO WATER. Located the problem and began trying to get a hold of someone from POD. Very frustrating, you can only seem to talk to people in Florida that do not listen to anything you say.

    Long story short. We repaired the over 1000 feet of lines in the pouring down rain so we could once again have water for ourselves and all the animals in the barn. POD would not send anyone out to even look at what their driver had done. They said he denied doing it, even though before pulling out on to the road he had to pull the wire off to the side of the driveway and piled it. Very lucky that one had broke completely from the power source, otherwise he would have been electrocuted, beings the power was still HOT. We have sent POD's a video, pictures, and quote from a electrical company. THEY Refuse to pay for the damages and still deny the damage their driver caused. WOULD NOT SUGGEST THIS COMPANY. They are also rude. Will be filing suit in small claims. We only asked for half of what the electrical company quoted. UGH.

    If you're planning on making a big move (across the country) I wouldn't recommend this company. I'm convinced this company is designed to keep as many people as possible indebted to them. I want to think me and my husband's naivety are to blame – thinking pods was the cheapest way to go. But boy were we wrong! 8 months later, and we're still paying just to keep our belongings stored in a site that's in a completely different state. This is because we can't cough up $3600 up front. Pods does not offer a monthly payment plan. Their rates fluctuate and we are essentially re-buying everything we own, over and over. They wouldn't even accept half of the cost upfront, and pay the rest after the transport. On top of that we're paying a credit card just to keep the aforementioned machine going. No words can describe how awful it is to have everything, and still have none it to show for. It seems greed always wins.

    We sold our house and moved, and got a moving container from PODS. Booking the 8 by 8 container over the phone was a piece of cake. I called a few times to change some dates 'cause we were having the house built, but it was fine. It was dropped off and picked up on schedule.     With PODS, I was able to store my things for a while. I didn't have a place to move into yet but I knew I was looking for one. I booked over the phone and the rep and I had very straightforward interactions. It was easy and he was able to answer the questions very quickly. The container was clean. The drop-off was good but the pick-up wasn't as neat. It was snowy and flashy that day in Calgary and some branches on one of our trees were knocked off because the driver slid in towards the curb. He kept trying to go up the hill rather than back up down. My brother and I guided him out once we saw he was stuck. Overall, it was a really good experience. It was really helpful to be able to put my things into storage and then leave it. I knew it was safe somewhere and I could go and grab what I needed to if I needed it. I would recommend PODS to a friend if they're moving.

    We recently rented a PODS container for a move and were promised that PODS could store the container off-site and deliver to our new house when we were ready. We are finally ready for our move and PODS says their container can not be on the streets of Minneapolis without a permit. We offer to get the permit and the customer service employee says they still can't put on the street because the city workers are rogue and will tow it away even if we have a permit. So the solution they come up with is we need to rent a U-Haul truck and pick up our things from the storage facility. When we rented the PODS no one informed us of this rule. I AM LIVID. I am now forced to incur extra cost because you failed on your end to be transparent as an organization and I picked PODS because of the ease of moving they claim to offer, and you have failed miserably. DO NOT USE PODS IF YOU LIVE IN MINNEAPOLIS. YOU WILL INCUR EXTRA COSTS.

    Ordered PODS 6/01/16. Delivered on time. Completed rental on 6/25/16. Called PODS and asked for pickup on 6/26/16. No Show. Called 6/27/16 asked to be picked up a second time. No Show. Wednesday 6/28/16 called again. No show. 7/1/16 picked up POD and charged cc for the full month of July. Refused to pay July rental. Sent two page letter explaining times, dates etc. Recorded all conversations. PODS' solution - send account to collection. 1/30/17 spoke with collections and explained everything again. They said they would look into it and give me a call to discuss. No call. No correspondence. 4/24/17 receive second collection notice.

    Reached out to Caine and Weiner (collection agency). Clueless, no record of 1/30/17 conversations. Asked me to fax them all of the info so they can look into it. Their incompetence is now boarding on harassment. Will never ever use PODS again, will tell everyone within earshot how horrible their customer service is and by the way I am not paying that July invoice.

    I ordered a PODS online to be delivered to my Housing Authority (a government account). The PODS confirmation scheduled the delivery between 10:15-1:15pm. At 3:00pm the PODS had not been delivered so I called to ensure that it was still on its way. I was told that it was rescheduled and the new delivery time would be 3:15-6:15 but no one had bothered to notify me! At 6:20pm there still was no PODS. At 8:00am there still was no PODS! My moving people who had showed up to load the PODS arrived and there still was no POD. Customer service couldn't provide any answers because they do not have any authority to make decision or change orders.

    To add insult to injury, after I had made my complaint regarding the lack of a PODS customer service apparently contacted the company in my area that was supposed to have delivered the PODS, they left me a message saying they tried to deliver and called me several times. Interesting that during the delivery times I was scheduled for, someone was available and the number I had left them is an emergency number so they could have reached someone 24/7. I suspect no call was ever made. So disappointing! I contacted PODS because of their name and the ease of ordering online - WHAT A MISTAKE!!!! Not reliable.

    I moved my apartment and studio from Seattle, Washington to Albuquerque, New Mexico so I rented the largest pod from PODS. After I booked over the phone, several guys picked up and dropped off the containers. We moved my apartment first and then we had to move it to my studio. Everybody has been great, very professional and helpful. However, the only thing I found a bit odd was when I asked for a hard copy of the compilation of expenses, I did the math but I still didn't see any actual printout of what my final bill with everything included was. Also, there was a brief delay but it was weather induced. I got here in early February and I was coming from the North. So, that time there was some snow North of me. I didn't want anybody risking everything that I owned just to get it there, so I'd rather them to take their time and get it here in one piece. Overall I had a good experience with PODS.

    PODS is convenient for moving and storage. I needed to load everything up at my own rate and have a place to store it. I hired their packers and loaders too. I ordered over the phone and it was a fine experience with their representative. The packers and loaders that they recommended were good but I found that the bosses called every half hour checking on them which is distracting. They were like stalking them and at one point I asked them to stop and said that the guys were on the clock and if they would stop calling them they could finish what they were doing. The guy that dropped the container off was very nice. I was worried because it was new construction but he put cardboard down and he was good. I was happy with the experience.

    I needed a container for me to pack, to store and transport to the location where I needed it. I used PODS before and have had good success with it. Also, a friend had used them and recommended them. They did exactly what I needed. They put the pod where it was supposed to go and it stayed as long as it was supposed to stay. Then they took it where it's supposed to be. They came and picked it up when I called them. So they did everything they were supposed to do.

    If they were able to provide actual human beings to assist with the move, I would never have gone with the other company that I ended up having to go with for getting furniture moved. I used the pod for all of the boxes that I packed and I have hoped they would be helping me get that out of the pod. I had furniture to be loaded into the furniture truck then unloaded here, and my husband was in one location while I was in the other, and neither one of us were in the position where we wanted to hurt our backs by lifting up sets. My only recommendation is for them to have more availability of someone to assist.

    Overall, PODS is a great company to work with. They provided what I needed when I needed it and were easy to deal with. They're also on time and they met their commitments, which is more than I can say for the other moving company that I ended up having to use. I have no complaints with PODS and I would, in a minute, recommend them to someone else as long as he either has somebody that could help him or didn't need assistance.

    I needed a pod delivered, picked up, and then delivered again to a different location. I talked to a couple of movers and a couple people and it seemed like PODS was the best fit for me. I got the smallest one but it was substantially larger than what I needed. All I did was had one layer on the bottom. There wasn’t anything that was higher than the knees. I would have been happier to have a smaller one.

    During the pick-up, my neighbors in Arizona all came out, watched, and were impressed. It was quite an interesting procedure to take the pod off and put it onto the driveway. The drive here was initially going to back the truck onto our driveway when he delivered it and I said that I was surprised that the other one had done it differently, and then he did it the way the first guy did it. Both experiences went well. They delivered and picked up the pod exactly when they said they were going to do it during both times. Many of my neighbors in both places asked questions about PODS and I had nothing negative to say. Also, I have a cousin who owns a North American company and was concerned about a damage. When I talked to the people at PODS, they said that they have an exclusive method of transporting the pod and I didn’t need to worry much about that. I had zero damage. Things were exactly as I’ve put them in the pod.

    PODS seem to have a great setup and they're local here. I used them for moving and storage and the storage was convenient. I tried to book with them online but the online site wouldn't load. So, I ended up having to call them, wherein I've told the representative when we will be needing the pod. We needed four different pods, four different drop-off and pickup times and storage. And PODS organized it all. It was a bit complicated to do it online. So, it was better to do it on the phone. I got the largest container they have and the drivers were very polite, friendly and conscious in not tearing up the yard. I would recommend PODS. They're great.

    Company representative misrepresented product and its capability to me. I was told 2 containers could fit side by side on any 2 car driveway. That is far from the truth. I had movers scheduled to load them. PODS could only bring one at a time and the time delay between them picking up and redelivering was going to be anywhere from 3-6 hours that I would have movers standing and waiting. I canceled the entire order. Was told all my money (over 2000.00) would be refunded and any future orders would be canceled. That never happened. The one pod they had delivered was picked up some time that day. Then I kept getting robo calls to confirm deliver on one and another pick up of one and insurance coverage for all of them.

    I kept tell them, "It's canceled. There are no pods here." Have tried to talk to my "claims representative" who is never available, never returned a call or email. I am told this is the only person that can help me and by the way she has no supervisor. When I called last I was ask if I was calling to pay my balance... what balance? You owe me $2504.91. Again told only one person could talk to me and she is not available. "She is very busy and will get to you when she can." I am now thinking I am going to have to get an attorney.

    We’re a boarding kennel and we had to take down our kennels to have some work done on the floors so I needed to be able to store my kennels. I know there’s a couple of moving and storage companies out there but PODS came to mind first. I booked a pod online and got the largest one. Then, I had to change my date so I had to call them up. The only problem I had was that the container came from another location and the slide where you have to put the slide handle so you could lock the door didn’t work properly. I don’t think PODS had the chance to look at it or maybe the people who used it before me didn’t say anything about it. I had to hit it with a hammer to open and close it.

    We only needed it for about a week but if we needed it for an extra month, we could have it. The driver that picked it up was the same driver that dropped it off. I was amazed at how it was put into the driveway and how it came on that little wagon because I thought they had to back it up and drop it off with a forklift. I told everybody about PODS because the process was so easy. I called them, they dropped it off, put it exactly where I wanted it and when I needed it picked up, they came and picked it up. The money that I rented it for was a really good comparison and it was easier to have them because I didn’t have to get a U-Haul and then storage. It was a great experience.

    I graduated school at the end of December. Was interviewing in a few different places. Using POD storage unit until I knew where I was going seemed like the perfect solution. And it was, until I tried to get my stuff back. Then they became the most unhelpful, poorly trained people I have ever dealt with. After signing my lease for apartment, POD was the first call I made to set up a time delivery time. Over the first week, I talked to many different customer service agents who all gave me different instructions on what I need to set up a delivery (not the mention a quote to drop-off/pick-up months rent and delivery when I was clear they already had my stuff and I just needed a finale delivery quote).

    The calls went something like this: That first weekend: "Pull your customer # and call back." (This one seemed pretty standard I called back in a few mins.) "No now we need the last 4 digits of the credit card #." (OK fine, but why couldn't the first person tell me that?) By The End of the week: "Oh yes, we can see that this is your account, but we have it set for a local delivery not a long distance. You are going to need to start over with a different department." (WHAT?!! I've been telling everyone what I need done. No one said it was the wrong department and at no point was this a local move.)

    New Department - "Yes, we have your account and that delivery date available. But, I'm sorry; you're not the contact name we have. Can you get [My Mom's name] to set this up for you?" (Again, I identified myself by my name on every other phone call. Where was that bit of instruction???) My Mom calls the next day, and they can no longer deliver my POD on the requested date because it was a long distance move and it will take another 2 weeks notice. We schedule it as to not lose the opportunity, but are still looking for a quicker/cheaper way and are told that it can be cancelled up to a couple days before.

    I start getting phone call, repeatedly, about an unsigned document on their website. But the unsigned document has not been uploaded to my account. When I call to explain this, I am told the agreement is signed!! This is wrong for two very important reasons: 1) I haven't signed it. In fact, I am on the website as I call back. Still not even uploaded. 2) If it is signed, why are you robo-calling me?

    Last night, I call to cancel the delivery because I have still a few days to do so, and I have plans to be in the original city (Jackson) in about 2 weeks anyway. It seems cheaper to just pick up my stuff while I'm there and driving back here (Atlanta). I have already paid to replace a lot of my belongings since I got my apartment about 2 weeks ago and need to live in it. I call to cancel, and he ask when I want to delivery set to? I explain that I don't because I will be visiting Jackson in two weeks and plan on getting my stuff myself. He confirms the cancellation and then again asks about rescheduling, and again I explain that I will pick it up myself. Then I ask him about accessing my POD when I get into Jackson. Turns out my stuff has been sitting at a POD storage unit in Atlanta for over a week!

    So: The delivery issue wasn't long distance because it was here before the first request delivery date. Just not here at my apartment. I might not have been able to move my furniture myself but you're telling me I just restocked my kitchen while all my old stuff was 30 miles away? Shouldn't I be getting some kind of tracking updates? I guess I can't cancel a few days before because I have already acquired part of the moving fee. Again, that would have been good info upfront. Why in the world was I not told the POD had been moved BEFORE delivery was canceled? I told him I was picking my stuff up from Jackson. I clearly didn't know that it wasn't in Jackson, but he did and canceled my delivery before disclosing that (like WTF).

    I say, "Never mind, if it is in Atlanta, go ahead and deliver it this weekend as scheduled." At which point the guy says, "I'm sorry that delivery date is no long available, how about (insert date that is past my monthly rental deadline and will cause another months rent)?" I don't mind paying another months instead of the delivery, but now I am being charge both? Even though I called and cancelled before the set delivery, like I was told I could do?

    Now let's talk abut some training issues that would have made this all go better: The first person should have been clear; what department I needed, what information I needed, and who should call. I could have been given updates when my stuff was transferred so that I knew it was here, and at what point I was being charge for that. The guy I talked to last night should have told me that my stuff has already been moved before cancelling! He knew I thought I could get it from the original location.

    We've used PODS five times, and with them, it's much easier to move if you're not positive when you're going to need your goods at the other end. With a moving truck, you have to be positive or let them damage your stuff. First of all, they pick it up with a small van, take it to another place, unload it, reload it to a bigger one, bring it to the new place, and if you don't need it, unload it to storage. Then reload it back on the truck to bring, which is just a pain. But working with the reps at PODS, everything was perfect, as usual.

    And they’ve already fixed the quality of the pod. I used to have to put my own anchors on those 2 x 4 in order to strap things down. But this time, I had one of the brand new ones which had all types of D-ring connectors that you could strap to all up and down. It's perfect, and the sides were smooth.     While my home was being built, I decided to sign up for PODS and had a pod at my parent's house for storage. I went with them because their pod could be dropped at my front door and I wouldn't have to load up a truck. But it didn't work out that way for me since my driveway was too steep for them to put the pod on it. I still had to load a truck and they'd take it from my parent's house to my new house. But truly the cost of the truck, of moving the pod to there, it all washed out to be about the same amount of money anyway. It was just a little bit more work.

    But it was super easy to book online. I got the biggest container and it was perfect and clean. My mom was there when the drivers dropped it off and she said they were super nice. And they were able to drop off the container at her house exactly where we wanted it. The customer service reps were also really nice when I talked to them. They answered any question I ever had, really pleasant and always really quick to answer the phone. It was extremely convenient. So I definitely recommend PODS. Actually, I've recommended it to a couple of friends now who are going to get storage. In fact, I have a couple of friends that are building houses as well and they went the same route as we did with the pods. And they were all really happy too, so far.

    Ordered PODS and it was delivered on a Friday afternoon with a cracked roof. When it started raining on Sat. and roof began leaking, we call PODS to have it replaced. We're told no replacement was available until Monday (leaving us in a very tight spot as we had to move out of our house on Sunday). The rep cancelled my order (without my confirmation), removing any history of the order and delivery. When I called back, they informed me that there was no history of my order and that no POD had been delivered, even though I was staring at it on my front lawn.

    After 3 hours on the phone they finally agreed to pick up the POD. Instead of issuing a refund, PODS claims they never charged me and will not refund the $1,121 charge on my credit card. Even more disturbing, the billing rep told me my credit card was associated with another user but could not explain why or how. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I would never use or recommend this company. Have filed dispute with VISA and contacted the WA AG office.

    I used PODS to store some of my furniture and household items in the pods container when I was trying to sell my house and move. Their reps have been good and were very timely. And when I figured out I could do things online, I started doing whatever I wanted that way. If I want to change some schedule, I could do it online. We put everything in the 12-foot rectangular container and then we stored it at their facility in Manassas. Everything I need to put in there, fit in very well. It was neat and clean, nothing was messy. Then when I moved, I got my pod back and they delivered it to me.

    After I took everything out, they picked up the pod. One of my driveways was hard to get into, but their drivers have been very patient and careful with everything they did and they were nice to talk to.     I didn't want to use a truck so when I moved, I chose to use PODS. I wanted the convenience of it and the controlled environment that my possessions were stored in. I booked the pods online and the website was very user-friendly. I got the 12-foot and 16-foot containers. One is brand new and the other one was an older model, but it was very clean when I got it and it left the same way. They delivered the pods to my former address, stored all my possessions for nine months, and then they delivered them to my new address.

    I rented the smallest container from PODS, and moved my stuff from Washington State to California. Using PODS seemed to be cheaper since I can't drive a U-Haul myself. That would be a tedious thing to do. The person that I dealt with was helpful, and gave me the quotes. But I could have rented a larger container if he told me because I thought I would only need the smallest one, and had to leave out some things and went back in summer to do a U-Haul. But then when I looked at the bill and how they divided the cost, most of the charges are on the moving rather than the container itself.

    I had a problem with PODS dropping it off, because the description was not correct. They told me all I have to do is leave a space about 15 feet for the thing to come in, and I told them I would like to pick it up from the back alley. They didn’t say anything. Then the guy came and he seemed shocked in seeing that I would be putting it in an alley. We cleaned out everything in the driveway more than what they asked for, but the guy refused to do it. He said it's impossible. That was frantic for me then because I had people coming in to move so I wasn't very happy.

    When I saw the guy dropping the container off in California, he was able to walk the whole thing over to the spot. He parked across the street and walked it over. The thing can move. I was very happy with this guy. He was very helpful and made sure I can open the container before he left, which may not be his responsibility. But the guys in Spokane, Washington just wanted to drop it off at the spot. They didn't want to walk it to make it better. They just put it in a slanted way, and wasn't very kind either, so I wasn't very appreciative of the people in Spokane. The guy said he could do it in the street so I had to find out how to get the permit with the city, adding another $100 or more to the charge. And then we had to clean out the small bank that was on the street in about a couple of hours. I had some friends come in right away and we tried to get through it ourselves rather than hiring somebody to do it. That incident was not very satisfactory.

    We needed PODS for storage and they have the convenience of having the storage unit at our house. We booked online and we had two of the largest ones. One of them was clean and the other one was not. Also, we got two different pricing which I thought was strange. It had to do with a promotion that we had one month so we got one pod much cheaper than the other one. But if they could have a more consistent pricing, I think that would be something nicer.

    The website was very difficult because it had two conflicting entries and that caused us to be charged by the delivery people. They had to come back and re-arrange the way the pod was in our driveway and we got charged the fee for it. My husband called multiple times and he was told we'd be reimbursed. That was back in November but they still have yet to reimburse us for that fee and we're still waiting. Their follow-through is not very good. Also, there were billing issues because we got double-billed one month. We had to call and have that taken care of. But otherwise, it was convenient.

    Was moving a couple towns over so thought it would be a good idea to used PODS. We needed 2 PODS for our belongings so we asked to have one delivered right away and one to be delivered a month later. They delivered the 2nd POD 2 weeks early. Then we called 3 times to confirm that they would be delivering the PODS to our new home on the day we closed as we had a moving company meeting us there to help unload the PODS. Every time we called they confirmed they would be there on that Friday. That Friday comes and we have not received a call on time of delivery. My wife calls and they say we are not scheduled even though the previous week we had talked to 3 different people that confirmed we were scheduled. I was able to get the moving company to unload the PODS at my old house and bring it to my new house which ended up costing me an additional $600 I was not expecting to pay.

    Now PODS is attempting to charge me an additional month for the PODS and pretty much have ignored my complaint with their service. Keep getting the same runaround that they will talk to the warehouse people and then don't hear back from them until they tell me our account is going to collections. Would give them 0 stars, but not allowed to. I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN!

    I had a really good moving and storage experience with PODS. No problems. They brought the container when they said they were going to bring it. They picked it up and stored it. When it got here, there was no damage. My wife booked PODS over the phone. She was extremely pleased with everything that she did. She called and the rep answered all her questions. Any time she wanted to know something, she called. She had one particular representative whom she was extremely pleased.

    We requested a big container, 16-foot. Our stuff fit inside adequately. It was also nice and clean. The only thing that I have to complain about is when you put your things in and you want to tie it off, there's nowhere to tie it off. The things on the wall are embedded. So, you have to get a rope and you have to thread the rope through that thing and it's kind of hard. But it's not overwhelming or anything like that. It's just that it would be nice if they had some hooks. Their drivers were also extremely nice. The fellow that brought the container in, put it right where I wanted it. And it was a little bit difficult, he had to wiggle quite a bit to get it where I wanted. But he put it right where I wanted it and told me, "When you call to get it picked up, make sure you mention my name and I'll be the one that comes out and gets it, because I know how I did this."     We had PODS bring out a PODS unit ahead of time, about two weeks before we actually moved. Then they picked up the PODS and moved it to Illinois from North Carolina. We had also looked at other storage and/or moving companies such as iPack, PackRat, U-Haul, and U-Pack. They're basically very similar. But what happened was, we got a lower price with PackRat. We really didn't want to budge on the pricing because I had a strong quote from PackRat, U-Pack, and another company. We had a wardrobe that was probably too big, although in a little hindsight it probably would have fit because we laid it down anyway. I told PODS, "I have a little less expensive quote," so I expressed my concern. But PODS said, "Well, this is the price and that's just the way it is." The pricing was not in the budget as I would have liked it.

    But when we talked to the PODS folks, they said, "PackRat won't be able to turn the PODS and get in your driveway." But as it turned out, they weren't able to do that either. My goal was to have both PODS units in the driveway, so these would be out of the road. They said, "Our machine that get the things into the driveway could turn the PODS." It comes downhill and they could turn the PODS to an angle to the side, like a turn out on our driveway. But when they actually came out with the Podzilla, they weren't able to turn the PODS and get it down there. They had to put the PODS up at the street. So, we could have actually saved some money by going with PackRat. That was a negative experience.

    The first driver was really good. He came out and since the location was on a hill, he was able to get one PODS down, although he's the one that said he couldn't turn it and get it down into the other corner. But he put blocks underneath the PODS that was down the hill. The second driver came out to pick up the PODS that we had already filled up. But when he was going to put another PODS in place, he was struggling and he couldn't put the PODS in the same location that the other one was at. He said, "It's impossible." But I said, "You just had one there."

    He was trying to stack it to where the back of the pod was, instead of going crosswise where the other one hadn't, like when you stack wood on top of each other, and it would have fallen over. I basically had to show him how to put the wood. He used pretty smaller woods. I said, "Hold on. Put the longer ones on the bottom and then stack it to where it's a little bit more stable and not as wobbly." The delivery guy was pretty good in delivering, and it went relatively smoothly in Edwardsville.

    My son is moving from Taos, Mexico to Illinois and PODS could be an option. If I had a better experience with PODS and if the price had been a little better, I probably would use PODS again just to help them out. They could just put all the stuff in the PODS and then they can get it, and they don't have to worry about driving it. Although it would be much easier if we could have used PODS, we'll probably go with U-Haul just because of the price. Overall, it was good and convenient with PODS, but it was a little overpriced.

    I like that PODS could store offsite because if I were to do a moving company, I would have to move my stuff to a storage unit. And, if I’m moving it to a storage unit, I might as well have them pick it up then deliver it. So I reached out to them over the phone. The PODS' representatives quoted me a price and it was exactly what it is. I’m the kind of guy that needs to know everything and within half an hour later, I want all the details. So, they explained to me all the details. They’re really knowledgeable, friendly and were really patient with me, too.

    I went with their small 7-foot container and I like the way their walls were put together and how the door closes. I planned on the drop off location, which was in the apartment complex on the main street and I parked the car where I wanted the pod to go and then when the guys showed up, I just moved my car. They were very patient and careful with it. They weren’t rushing anything. They lifted them up with a chain and set them in place perfectly.

    I was supposed to store the pod off for two to three months and then move it back to my new location, but we’re waiting for funding with my business and we haven’t gotten it yet. So, I canceled the service. It had nothing to do with PODS. It's just that it would cost more to store the items after a year-and-a-half than it would to go out and buy the items.

    I then called customer service to verify that there was a credit on my account because I paid a month in advance and because I emptied the container by a certain day, they would give me that month in advance back. They said they gave me a charge on a certain date, and it was there when I looked at my Discovery bill. My storage was only $175, but the delivery fee was 200-and-something-dollars, which is a little bit pricey. I was surprised that it was more of vanity storage class itself. But overall, it’s a great experience and I’d use PODS again.

I didn't want to have to move into a storage unit, then move my stuff and then move it again and then move it again.     I was moving out of state and needed storage. PODS has a facility that wasn’t far from where I grew up so I called them and got the 16-foot container. It ended up being more than what I needed, but I was able to put other things in there that I thought I had to leave so in the end, it was sufficient. It also had some damage to it and it probably needs some attention at some point, but I still used it.

    But the one issue I had was that the carrier driver came earlier so basically, I had to delay my pickup date. When I called the customer service, she said, “Well, the contract says that they can come anytime after seven.” I didn’t know that until she told me that. So I suggest that the timeframe should be stated upfront especially if people call in to book their information. I know that's on me and I know everybody should arrange stuff before they sign in, but that's pertinent information and should be stated as much as possible. Other than that, the whole experience was great and I’ve referred PODS to other people.

    PODS have been around for awhile and I see them everywhere in TV and ads. When I looked them up, they were really easy. So, I booked online then I called and spoke with someone to make sure what was going on. It was easy to deal online. Also, the payments were great because I only took out a certain payment once they dropped off a certain amount. So, I'm not paying the full amount upfront and that's awesome. So, they were going to my brother's house in Pennsylvania and the carrier driver called me and said that they're gonna be there in half hour. I was not there but my brother already knew that they were coming so I just texted him. It was really easy. Instead of getting all these phone numbers I just had them contact me.

    I was attempting to move but have not moved into a permanent place yet. I have a 16-foot container from PODS and I stored it all myself. I'd stored it for about 18 months and they have been pretty good. However, when I went down to access my POD I was told that there had been some damage to it. Evidently, a forklift had hit the unit and almost tore the door completely off of it, but there was no damage to anything inside. It was one of the older wooden style PODS with the fiberglass exterior and it couldn't really take a good hit.

    So it wasn't quite right and I learned that the employee that did that had been released sometime ago. But I was a little surprised that I was never notified about it because they send me an email every month for my bill and I'm still in storage with them. They obviously knew about it because they had taken ropes and tied the door back to the framework. But they gave me a brand new POD and I moved everything over into it and my stuff's secured again. And the manager at the place on Stanley in Carson was very accommodating and fantastic. He gave me a free month service and took care of it. He did an outstanding job.

But, they don't want to give the estimate on their website and so it would be required to talk to a human. It would've been better if they just showed how much it costs. But they're absolutely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful on the phone. I requested for two 16-foot containers. The driver at the origin site was absolutely outstanding. He was on time, called when he was arriving, and he was there as advised. It was the same with the guys at the destination bit as well.     We booked a pod over the phone and we had it April of last year. Then, we returned it in February of this year. We went with PODS because of the convenience of it being delivered at my home and being able to load it and have them come pick it up to store it. My interactions with their rep were good. The only issue that I dealt with was the payment process. I was paying for PODS via my checking account online. But then, they were under an impression that they were going to take it out automatically and during the time that I had the pod, my check card number changed. So, the check card that they had on file was no longer active. There were some issues there for two months. Other than that, everything was good throughout the whole process.

    We got the biggest container and it fit my needs. We had it within the communicated time to us. Whenever I asked for it, it was there. Whenever I asked them to pick it up, they did it. I called to make changes a few weeks before my move, and they let me know they were no longer servicing my area... I argued since they agreed to do it before, they should honor it. PODS confirmed they would honor their initial quote. I called again to make sure the change had been made. PODS again assured me they would honor our initial agreement, they would call me before the end of the day.     I've used PODS in the past and I've used them again for moving and storage. I went online and got all the information I needed. I wanted to add some PODS at the same time, so I had to speak to someone to find out. I requested for two 16’ and a 12’ containers and when they came, they were very clean and neat. The doors and their lock mechanism were fine and everything works good. They were put exactly where I wanted them to be.

    I've also rented some blankets from PODS and I had gotten as well through their website where they have a list of guys who will load furniture and stuff for the client. I contacted one of them and they were very nice and helpful so it worked out well. The drivers were also all very nice and accommodating and whatever I needed they're there to help me. I called one of their competitors first but it was negative. I own a business and I deal with a lot of people. I had two pods that went to two different locations in Massachusetts. They went from there to a storage in Florida and I was able to access them in Florida. Then, they delivered them to where they needed to go in Florida when I was ready for them.     I had a pod moved from Chicago to California. PODS was the only company that had a depot close to where I needed it to land in California. I started the booking process online and initiated the quote to a certain point. I then had to call them, which isn’t a bad idea because when you’re moving all your personal possessions, it’s good to talk to a human being. I thought that it was really a good experience. The only thing that was a little confusing for me was it felt like every single time I called to ask a question, make a change, or drop the pod off, I got another quote. So I had this whole pile of quotes and I felt a little insecure about cost differential from person to person. It made me feel uneasy. I thought, “Oh, my gosh. I’d better make sure that this is the same as what I got last time.”

    As for the container, it was good. I got everything in by a whisker on the largest size container, but that’s on me. And my confidence was not full. I didn’t feel 100% that it was super sturdy and there weren’t going to be any leaks, but again that's just me, because I thought the pod needed to be lightweight since they’re transporting them a long way. But it’s a fantastic system. And then four months later, I had the pod move back from California to Chicago. Ironically, the driver that dropped it off the first time is the one that brought it back the second time. Their drivers were really great! They were really nice, helpful, and gave me a lot of good tips on packing the pod.

    We needed a pod unit to store something temporarily while our kitchen was being remodeled. I'd seen a lot of PODS around the neighborhood and they looked in good condition and watertight. When I looked them up online, the price seemed very reasonable so I went ahead with their service. I called initially, but I've been using the online services quite a bit and their website was very user-friendly. The scheduling was good, too. They came when they said they were going to. And the pod was in good condition. The roll-up door and everything worked fine. There was no a problem loading stuff in and out. I did extend it one month and it rained several times but there was no leakage.

    The only thing I would say is about the device they move the pod with. The legs protrude on both sides a little bit. You can't get too close to something. So the driver and I manually forced it over a little bit further up close to a tree. And then when it was time to pick it up, I manually pushed it more further into the driveway so it was easy for the driver picking it up to lift and take it away. Something that people need to take into consideration when using one of these units is to make sure that they can get far enough over to the side so they could still use their driveway. Other than that, everything was great. The way they maneuver the thing off the truck and place it inside of them is so interesting. PODS is very professional, very thorough, and had excellent communication. They made a lot of time and effort and I'm very happy with the service. Should I need a temporary storage again, I wouldn't hesitate to call PODS.

    We had planned on using PODS to move from the Seattle area to the Tampa area. We got a quote and schedule the move. We found Pack and Load services on the PODS website. These people did a horrible job of loading our stuff. They had no regard to protecting the furniture. One example is they put tape directly on finished surfaces of our tables and chairs. We have pictures that clearly show scratches to the surfaces of these tables and chairs. They did not even follow the recommendations found on the PODS website for roping off the load every few feet to secure it as if was moved. As a result we submitted a claim for damage that was denied because we did not hire them again to unload the POD.

    Why would we pay them again to screw up unloading what they loaded so poorly. They put language in the contracts that absolve them of any reasonable claim. When you call them they are rude and defensive if you even suggest there was a problem. I would recommend you stay away from PODS and their loading services.

    We were gonna pick a moving company because we were going to Tennessee, but then we changed our minds and decided we were moving to Tucson and decided to call PODS. And I went online and compared things, too. I booked a pod on the phone and my experience with the rep from PODS was perfect. They were great all the way through. They also suggested places to contact to help pack and unpack.

    We scheduled the biggest pod because we were gonna take all our furniture. When we decided to move to Arizona, we got rid of so much stuff so the POD had a lot of room in it, but it was fine. And the packers secured everything really well. Only one or two things moved. When we couldn’t have the movers come to Arizona as they didn’t service that, I went online, checked everything, and read the reviews from PODS and that’s why I called another mover. I knew the construction was not as sturdy as the first people we were gonna pick, but everything was fine. We didn’t feel like anything was gonna happen. They delivered our stuff and everything went great. Overall, PODS was great.     I got a 8' x 16' container from PODS for storage and long distance move from Wisconsin to New Jersey. I originally booked it online and then I made phone calls to change the dates, pickup times and drop off times and the reps were very good. The container is very clean and secured and everything was perfect. Also, the driver was very knowledgeable and he knew to put the container exactly where I wanted it.     I liked PODS's price point and used their 16-footer from California to Tennessee. It was stored there for a few months. And then we found our home and PODS transferred the pod over to the house and were able to take everything out of there on time. However, when I had the money to pay the large payment for the transport, it was very weird system. I ended up paying the driver the cashier's check. PODS didn't trust me making payments or paying someone directly, and that was very disconcerting. I would have cancelled it if I had a chance, but I didn't. It was already committed and it's too difficult to change everything, time-wise and so forth.

    Then when I paid the guy upfront, I got a call asking where's the payment. And nothing could be done until the payment was received by their driver. That's also disconcerting - having extra pressure put on me because PODS didn't believe me. We had to wait. It has been very difficult for me to move the pod over on the scheduled time. But luckily, scheduling everything went fine because we had some time to fix that.

    Another thing that bothered me, too, was that I had to pay $2800 for transport from California to Tennessee. I also had to pay for the delivery of the pod to the location in California, which I thought was already included in the payment. That's a few hundred dollars and I didn't have that in my budget. No one made it clear that the pod had to paid for transport to my location in California. It seemed like an extra payment because I paid such a large amount.

    But I'd recommend PODS only if the transport is local and short. If it's long distance, sometimes the right hand wasn't speaking to the left hand. Especially when I called up, they had no clue about what was happening and so I had to call many, many times to assure myself that they were going to transport to Tennessee and everything was fine. But the container is perfect. I had vague concerns on the transport because it was filled, but everything came out okay. When we took everything out, it was just as I put it in. We were able to fit everything that they said they would do. And so, I was pleased with that. Their guys have performed very well.

    The workers from PODS were polite and nice, but they dropped the pod too close to a hydrant and the police left a note on the pod saying, "If you don't move it in one or two days, we're going to tow it away." So I called PODS. They had to move it another six feet down from the hydrant and they charged me $119 for it. I followed up and upon final removal, they said they would credit that after but I don't remember seeing a credit. I could be wrong and I'd have to go back and look. But at that time, I didn't remember seeing a credit. In the scheme of life, it's not a big thing but it was really niggling at that time. But other than that, the gentleman who brought it and picked it up was very nice and everything's fine. Also, I would be very happy if they'd refund the $119. I'd recommend them but I'd tell my friends to make sure to be careful where they put the pod.

    My family moved from Tennessee to Colorado. We tried to do all the research we could do before we made our move. After changing my mind with U-Haul I decided to go with PODS even though their services were almost twice as much. I liked the idea of how they transported it with such care plus they offered a $10,000 content protection insurance. After arriving in Colorado Springs we quickly realized that this was not where we wanted to make our new life. We decided to let PODS store our contents for a couple of more months while we found the right place for us. So 3 months later we are about to close on our new home so I decided to call and arrange to have our container shipped.

    After talking with the customer service specialist she informed me that since our new home was 108 miles from where the container is being stored then they wanted to close out my order and start a new one charging me $1033 for the delivery. Keep in mind I have already paid them over $2600 to deliver it from Tennessee. You can deliver your furniture to a different country for what they are trying to charge me. In three months' time I had already given them almost another $1000 in storage fees. So now the only solution to solve this problem affordably is to one way a U-Haul from the storage facility. They informed me that when I empty out my container in the cul de sac at their facility that my content insurance will be null and void. So I have to open and check every box I have packed (12 boxes have china in them) before I load them into the U-Haul. They originally told me it would only cost me $110 to deliver the Pod to my new home.

    UPDATED ON 05/02/2017: I emptied out my container on the 27th and they charged me on the 29th for $313.36. The original post I had was how displeased I was with what they were going to charge me to deliver to my new home 108 miles north of the storage facility. To soothe me over, the customer service rep told me that she was going to remove my card info since my pick up day was close to the payment date. That way I wouldn't get charged for another month. So lo and behold none of this was true.

    When they finally agreed that they would refund me they tried to only give me a partial refund so I had to go to beast mode and they agreed to refund the full amount. The billing clerk assured me that the money would be back in my account by the end of the day. Once again that was a lie and now I am on hold with a wait time of 30+ minutes trying to fight to get back the money they had no business taking. I just wish PODS would just give me my money and go away! I would not recommend this company to my enemy!

    I did some research and PODS had good reviews so I booked a pod with them over the phone. We had it delivered to Maui, Hawaii, to be taken to Henderson, Nevada. We loaded it up and at first we didn't think that everything was going to go in the pod, but we had extra room and I'm sorry I didn't bring a few more things that I wish we have here now.

    Then we got a call from a lady saying that the pod was damaged en route and there were significant holes. She said that there was a report that she had and that she would file a claim once we checked everything out. It looked like it was from a forklift and it didn't go all the way through. Fortunately, nothing was damaged and everything was fine. We had a few chips on some furniture and antique stuff but I thought that was from the packing and it had nothing to do with PODS. Also, the drivers who picked up the container and dropped it off were both very courteous and did a good job. They put it right where we needed it. So I would recommend PODS.     I booked PODS over the phone and the person I spoke to was helpful and able to fill me in on all the ins and outs, of what's involved with doing the whole thing, process and such. Since we're moving out-of-state, they only had two options. And so, we used two of the large and one of the small containers. The containers were sturdy and clean. Everything worked as it was supposed to and got mostly a quick lesson on moving as far as loading. I have been pretty impressed by the drivers and how they can maneuver things into a small space. They were always on time too.

    We had three of them, and the only problem I had with the first one was that he gave a pre-call and told me that he'd be there between 11:00 and 1:00, and he showed at 9:00. I was still in the process of loading the things so we were under a time crunch for when we had to get out of the house. So I asked, "Can you come back today?" And he's like, "No, you have to schedule another day." I didn't really have another day to do that. I also didn't have the container fully loaded so that made me a little bugged. The third one I ended getting was a small one and it was because we had a lot of small stuff and had I been able to fill that first pod, there's a chance I could not have needed that third one. I ended up having to spend an extra $600 for another pod and that's the only thing that was bad. They dropped the things off and I did all the loading. So, it's a cheaper alternative than paying movers.

    We hired PODS for moving and storage. We moved from Florida to South Carolina and thought that the pods would only be stored for about six months. But our process to find or build a new home took more than a year and a half. Since it was our first experience, we didn't know how much the pods would hold. So we had two small, 8'×7'×7' containers. But then they were filled and we found out that we needed a third. So we had three pods. Two were put in storage and the other one was immediately unpacked at our apartment in the Charleston area.

    One thing I was disappointed in was the set of packers they recommended. The packers did a generally good job but there were a couple of things that maybe I shouldn't have shipped that I did, which were soaked plants. And these didn't fair too well. Another thing that happened was our brand-new driveway got a lot of black tire marks on it, which the driver said would wash away with the first rain, but these didn't. The marks are slowly fading but we're going to have to use a concrete cleaner on them, which isn't the end of the world.

    But the pods were then delivered promptly at our brand-new house very well. I was very pleased with everybody's professionalism. The people that picked them up and dropped them off were very friendly, too. It was an absolutely excellent experience. I'd use them again.     Most of the comments online towards PODS were leaning towards the positive and there were very few negative comments that would reflect what I was going to be doing. I was gonna move from New Mexico to Illinois so I checked into PODS and other similar companies, and there's one of them that I wouldn't wanna use because they're not as solid a construction as PODS. I also drove out to the PODS location in Albuquerque and met two older gentleman who showed me everything and gave me a brief tour of the whole storage thing. I was more impressed at the caliber and the quality of employees that were working there than the facility itself. They were very professional.

    So then I booked my PODS with a person on the phone. They were awesome and didn’t leave anything out. They made it extremely easy and it was overall excellent. I booked PODS for a little bit of storage before I moved, for about a month. Then I had the pods moved from New Mexico to Illinois. They were stored in Illinois for a month before they were dropped off at my home where I unpacked them. The containers were nice and clean. They don’t look like they’re going to hold a lot but boy, you can pack them.

    I also met the drivers as they dropped the pods off and as they picked them up. Both were great and easy to work with. When we didn’t like the way one pod was lined up, the driver hooked it back up and moved it over, with no attitude. And they were on time. When they said they were coming within half an hour, they were there within a half an hour. But I would rate the ones in New Mexico better than the ones in Illinois. There's nothing wrong with the ones in Illinois. It's just the ones in New Mexico were a little above and beyond the call of the normal pod dropper offer. The difference between Peoria and New Mexico was the Peoria guys would call and say when they’re dropping it off and they would simply drop it off. They put it right where we set it on the driveway. The New Mexico guys would pull up and come to the door and get us to make sure they put it where we wanted it.

    As for the call center, this is a very big deal: I had to call five times and change dates and times, and I have never, in my life, dealt with anybody that made that so seamlessly easy to do. It was just, “Sure, we’ll be glad to look into that for you. Yes, we’ve got availability.” And the problem, in theory, was they only deliver on certain days, which was not a big deal. As it gets busier they’ll increase the daily and it didn’t affect my schedule at all. But I was extremely impressed. I even had to add a pod and they were just very accommodating.

    The price is also reasonable for what they’re doing. We moved across all those states and the bill was half of what it would cost going out there two years before if you rented a truck and drove it. So when someone I know was moving, I said, “Check into PODS. They were really easy to work with.” They said, “We don’t know how many we're going to need," and I said, “They have two sizes, depending on where you’re located. Organizing, they’re so easy to work with. It’s like talking to your neighbor.”

    I used PODS before when I moved down from New York to Florida and that worked very perfectly. They were easy to handle. I found them on the web and just reading through what they advertise, I found them very convenient to use. I liked the way they presented themselves and how I could approach them in terms of the data that I had to submit. It was also really easy to navigate through their webpage.

    I booked their service online and it was a very easy process. I filled in the forms and automatically got a response back confirming the order.     I was moving to another city and PODS would move their pod to the city for me. I booked the pod online and though the process is okay, it could be more automated. I still had to talk to somebody once. The pod was the right size for my needs but it was very cheap. It was just plastic and some wood, and it caused mold to go inside of it. I had to throw certain things away because mold had set in. It was cool but if it was an all-steel storage unit, then the mold couldn't have set in. But it was a smooth transaction with the driver. He was cool. Overall, I was satisfied with the experience.

    We were going to renovate a house so we were needing to store our furniture temporarily. PODS was recommended to us by the contractor that was working on the remodel. We did the booking over the phone and the experience went very well. They told us about a special that they had going at the time which we were eligible to take advantage of, and did. They were very friendly and very professional. All was fine. They delivered the two pods, initially, just as requested. They were clean and there were no issues. The gentleman was extremely nice.     I got a shipping container from PODS to use it for my move to my new house. Last time, I had to move in with my mother-in-law temporarily until we finished the renovations but that move was a pain in the butt. Last time, I literally moved everything into storage and now I'm moving everything back out. So I figured just having it in the container would make it more convenient so I opted with PODS this time. We used the largest container and it was perfect. I love the fact that it was ground level. I literally moved in and out by myself and the dolly. I could not be happier with my experience. They may be a little pricier but a lot less stressful.

    We rented a storage pod from PODS and had it transported from Seattle to New York. And then, we also had the city service which is for unloading or parking the pod in Manhattan temporarily. They brought it into the city because they're not allowed to drop it off on the street like they do for a different hood. We spoke to a number of coast to coast movers and they all seemed to be a little bit sketchy except for PODS. We also went with the name recognition, the convenience, and PODS' reputability. We ended up with the smallest container because unfortunately, they only do the smallest and the largest containers for coast to coast moves. We had an absolutely pack-full. And then after our move, we got rid of about a third of the stuff that was in there.

    When we signed up for the service, we had a choice to either manually sign the documents and then fax them in or sign them through the website. But on the website, we can also review all of our documentation and verify that our dates are correct. They even told us what form of payment we've agreed to and the payment dates. All of our information is on the website and is up to date. We worked with about five reps at various points as we scheduled and as our schedule became more clear for delivery. Our interactions were all very professional. They definitely knew their work and were very helpful. When we called to see if we could get a larger pod, one of them even went through and verified that we are getting the best price on the pod that we had already scheduled because they had a new promotion that was going on.

    We followed up with customer service a couple of times to verify things that we were pretty sure were already set. When we scheduled our move, we didn't know what our destination was going to be at because New York apartments are on very tight timelines. We had scheduled our PODS arrival in Seattle and when we are going to have it picked up, that was going to be a week and a half after we would be in New York to choose our apartment. And then we would have to wait about five days after that to find out for sure if we actually got the apartment. Once we did know what our address was going to be, we had to call customer service and go through them to set up the delivery.

    The driver who picked up our container was very punctual, both during the drop off and the pick up. Every scheduled point that the pod was supposed to be there, they were there. They called exactly within the parameters of the timeline they were supposed to to let us know that they were on their way. They showed up either early or exactly on time including the driver who dropped the pod with them on the Manhattan side. They were all very friendly, especially the ones who helped us with the unloading. They weren't allowed to physically help us with any boxes, but the one who brought it into the city for us was an incredibly pleasant and incredibly kind and genuine person. PODS took the headaches out of moving for us. It's a coast to coast move and a very daunting and challenging task. They provided a lot of peace of mind in terms of the actual logistics of the move. It's very transactional and they took care of their end of the bargain.

    Using PODS gave us some flexibility because were not sure how long we were going to need to leave our stuff stored. Doing it a different way would have required renting a truck and loading it more than once, taking it to someplace, putting all the things in that permanent garage type storage place and waiting for who knows how long because we didn't know. And then turning around at the end of that waiting period and putting it all back into a different truck that we'd have to rent separately from the other one. And finally, doing it all over again to deliver it to the new house would be a big hassle.

    I rented a truck and I would have paid for every day that I was loading it. But renting a pod, I'd only pay for the month, regardless of where it is, and that saved me a ton of money. I did about 90% of the work myself to load the pods. When I had things that were too big for me to manage, I got someone else and that would have been as convenient with the truck because there wouldn't be time constraints. Given the type of move we did, it was the best way we could have done it. In addition, we never got the wrong size container. I didn't know we would fill the second one full but we did and we have more. We found our relative's garage that we could store our things in for the relatively short time it was there. The driver, who picked up the first one at the point of departure and brought the second one, was clever enough to do it all in one trip.

    On the other hand, when I made the appointment for the delivery of the second one, I knew that the first one was full and I was making the appointment for both things. The person that I talked to insisted that the only way they can handle the situation was to go as two separate trips and I even went so far to talk to a supervisor. To me, that was remarkably stupid because it could be done and it turned out that it was handled in one trip. They were inflexible about double-dipping and I got overcharged close to a $100 which I shouldn't pay because I'm not supposed to pay to return the empty one. It would be wonderful if I could have a small refund for the unnecessary trip but I'm not moving my breath on it.

    But other than that, the local people were great and they didn't put a fight. They agreed with me that my reasoning made sense. The driver brought the empty one, put it on the ground in a different place from where I had the full one, picked up the full one and took it back to storage. The pickups were both done on the same day and the deliveries were both on the same day. There was no double dipping. Overall, the experience was a whole lot more convenient than the alternative.

    For my moving needs, I went online to look first then I called PODS. I decided what size container I needed, they booked some dates for me, explained the payment process and what to expect.     Due to their convenience and price, I ended up using PODS over other storage and moving company. Everything went fine with the pod and the representatives were very good all the way through. They had a problem when the container was first brought to the house. The pod was going to sink into the yard, but the guy from PODS had plywood that he had to put on the yard. He did it very well, backed it up twice and was very cautious. We have a difficult place to deliver, but the guy tried to get it as far up the hill as he could and as far as reasonable.     We live in Pennsylvania and my parents live in Albuquerque, New Mexico. My dad passed away, so when we moved everything home to Pittsburgh, we used PODS It was really convenient that everything will be delivered right to my door. I started online when I was booking, and then I had a couple of questions so I ended up speaking with a representative who did a great job. I was in Pennsylvania, and my brother and my husband were in Albuquerque so we were going back and forth. I said, “Well I can book it but I might have to cancel it depending on time.” The rep said, “Well I can wait on the phone while you give them a call.” So, I did. But because I wasn’t able to get them at that very minute, I disconnected with PODS, then they called back within five minutes and I was still talking to her so I booked it.     When I was moving across the country, I got multiple quotes from different moving companies and PODS ended up being the cheapest. I also have a family who had used them for long distance moves so I trusted them and got their 16-foot pod. Everyone I spoke with was always helpful. I met the one who dropped it off at my house in Massachusetts and also the one who picked it up and both of them were pleasant and professional. The one who placed it ended up having to go in my neighbor’s driveway 'cause mine was a hill. He was very helpful in figuring out where it could go when working with what my neighbor requested as far as where it could be.

    However, PODS needs to make it more obvious what type of service they can place the crates on because in my initial interactions, I had described my yard and my driveway and they said "It shouldn't be a problem. We'll put it in your front yard." But it turned out that wasn't possible. And part of that was that they could have backed through my other neighbor's yard which he was perfectly fine with but because it was supposed to snow, they wouldn't put it on the ground and they didn't make that clear. So then the first time they showed up to drop it off they actually couldn't. They had to leave and come back the next day. But, overall it went well. It's been a satisfactory experience.

    I had a brother who moved two years back and he had a positive experience with PODS and I asked him about it. So I went ahead and gave it a shot and it worked out pretty nicely for me. I originally went online, but there was a notice on there that said if you're moving over 50 miles then you can call. So I ended up calling someone over the phone and he walked me through the process and set the order online. I got them to deliver their largest container to my residence and it was perfect and exactly what I was looking for. I loaded it up myself and then they dropped it off at the new residence. And after that, they just picked up a couple of days after I had it unloaded.

    I was home when the first driver came and dropped off the POD and I had to clear up some parking spots for him because it was a crowded apartment at the time. It’s a tight fit but he helped move everything and did a great job. With the pickup, though, I never met the person. I had a time scheduled and the next thing I know I went outside a few hours later and the POD was gone. Everything seems pretty well organized.     I had PODS deliver a container to my house in Memphis, Tennessee. Then, after I filled it up, they came and picked it up, and then they took it about 189 miles away to the house I just bought in Sewanee, Tennessee. I had used PODS twice before. I brought a PODS over from California to my house in Memphis about four and a half years ago. Then, after that, a friend of mine sent me some more things over with a smaller PODS from California. So, this is the third time I've done business with PODS.

    I usually book my PODS over the phone. But the first time I did it, I went to the storage place in Carlsbad, California. I like doing business with PODS. Whenever I book over the phone, it's very easy with the reps. They seem to be knowledgeable, have all the information, and understand what I need to do. The drivers who have come out and delivered the PODS and picked it up have been some of the best people that I've dealt with in recent years. They're wonderful people and very professional. However the company I used to load the PODS in Memphis were absolutely awful and tore things up. It's one of the three companies that were listed on the PODS website.

    The guy did not know how to pack and ruined two of my best pieces of furniture. I paid these loaders $600 to load the PODS, and it's going to cost me at least $1,000 to get my stuff fixed. They ripped a chair that I just had covered for $500, and now I'm going to have to get it covered again. So, that was disgusting. I've called them up and told them and they told me, "**, lady. There ain't nothing we can do about it." The way the girl talked to me, it gave me the impression that that was usual for them. She didn't say, "Oh, I'm so sorry" or that the contract says this or that. Instead, it was like, "Well, that's what you got. That's what you paid for. It's in the fine print." Nobody else should be taken advantage of, especially older people. They don't need that kind of doubletalk.

    I'm still unpacking, but I'm going to write a letter to PODS to complain and tell them that the next time I try to rent a PODS, which will be within another couple of years, I won't use PODS if those people are still advertising there. I love PODS and I've had such good experiences with them, but I won't do business with a company that's encouraging customers to do business with those people.

    The containers are fine and in good shape. They're not dirty and they don't smell. And what PODS advertises is what they would do for you. I've seen their ads on television and that's exactly what you'd get -- good people and service. But they recommended three companies on their website and it made the impression that they were saying to people that these are loaders that you can use, as if they're pretty good. They don't need to advertise those guys and they need to take those advertisements down. I could've gotten people off the street instead, like I usually did, and had them load my things. In California, I had this Mexican dude do the loading for me one time. He needs to be working for PODS. He was incredible. He knew how to load, knew exactly what he was doing, and was very good.

    I live out in the middle of the woods and one of the PODS guys really loved being out in the woods like that. They had good attitude, were in a good mood, and answered any questions. They have given me suggestions on how to load the pod. They're hard workers and I hope PODS pays them well. The PODS guys down in Chattanooga were absolutely perfect. A new guy came to pick up the PODS after I cleaned it out and he did a wonderful job, too. I would definitely recommend PODS to a friend.

    My husband and I moved from Maryland to North Carolina. I heard a lot of good things about PODS, so I thought sounds good. Worst experience of my life. Every time I turned around they were cleaning out my bank account for different charges. Then I had to use two pods because everything would not fit into one pod as I was told. The first pod that was delivered everything in the pod shifted. Most of my furniture was broken or smashed. I was told by a manager that the pods are moved on a level surface. Bull! Then how did my stuff get broken. Now we have the second pod and we can't get it open. We are going to be charged $75 to open their defective equipment! We would have been better off going with a traditional mover. We did not save any money using this company and now we have to replace broken furniture. Never again!

    When you contract with PODS you are told you can schedule pickup of your pod by calling 5 days in advance. Don't believe it. They took 11 days to pick up our pod. They did not return calls and refused to give me contact info for the local agent handling our move. I could only speak with their customer service call center which is a joke. They finally told me if I wanted to pay an extra $100 they could pick up my pod earlier. I guess money can open up a spot. I would never use them again. I could hire a moving service cheaper than what this move cost me.

    I needed storage because I was building a new home and I sold off my old home, so I need to store my residence. I chose PODS among others because I knew that I could put everything in there and then upon completion of my house they will deliver everything I had inside to my residence. It makes a lot easier than you hauling and storing it.

    When I booked, I called PODS over the phone and I had a good interaction with them. I needed two 8 x 16 containers as I did a whole residence. The driver who came to pick up my container was a very nice gentleman. The only hiccup I had was when I scheduled my pickup, they only scheduled it for one POD. So they picked up one and had to come another day for the second. It was not a big deal to me and the guy apologized. When I needed to get paperwork out of the POD, I contacted PODS customer service. I told them what I needed to get into the POD. They told me where to go, and that it would be waiting for me and it was. I had my name clearly written on it. It was outside where they said it would be. I went in and got my paperwork, locked it back up and they put it back inside where it came from. That was a very pleasant experience as well.     We were moving some of our furniture down to Florida from New York and the price of the truck was prohibitive, so we went with PODS. We got the biggest container they had and it was right for what we needed. The drivers that picked up my container were really good and they went out of their way to take care of me. The only problem I had was with the door. It just didn't seem to close properly. The driver said that they didn't have problems with them like that. But that needs to be addressed because it took me forever to try and get that door open. I even had everything back from the door with straps in order to keep it away from the door and that nothing slipped up, which it didn't. That was frustrating, especially when you did not unload it all at one time. We couldn't get it back down in order to leave the stuff in overnight. It was a mess. But other than that, we're fine.

    We were moving so we rented one of the pods. Their name was familiar and we liked that they'd drop the pod off and store it for us until we were ready to move into our new home. My husband booked it and said it was easy. We got the 16-foot pod and it was perfect. It was very clean and I was surprised that they have a rack inside for the clothes. That was a really nice feature. It saved us from having to pack clothes and it was awesome. It was also sturdy enough that everything held together. It's just when it was empty it looks a little wobbly.

    Our facility had used PODS probably six or seven years ago. So I knew that they were a resource already. So when this unit opened up, I reached out to see if they could be a resource again for us and they donated the pod for us. We needed storage services for our holiday donations, to keep them safe and dry until Christmas. We had it delivered three weeks ahead of time and that's where all of our donations went. Our holidays wouldn't have been able to run smoothly without it, or we would’ve had to dig into other moneys to pay for it. It helped out in a lot of different ways.

    We needed storage and moving and a friend of ours used Rat Pack but they had a bad experience. We knew we wanted to declutter our house before we put our house in the market so we knew we needed a temporary storage solution. We didn't want to pack the car up and take it off to one of those storage units so we decided on using the PODS. I booked online and this was very simple and seamless. I called once to confirm the drop-off but all my questions were answered online. Websites should definitely be intuitive enough so that I don't have to interact with a person. Not that I’m anti-social, but if I go to a website, I want to be able to accomplish everything on it and not have to call a phone number and get help.

    I requested the largest container that they had and it definitely suited our needs. However, the unit itself seemed rickety. It was made out of wood and I was disappointed to see that it had plywood floors. Also, the roof was like translucent plastic that I thought would probably leak, so I was a little bit concerned with water getting inside of it. Overall, it didn't seem to be as rugged as I expected it to be. The driver who dropped the container off initially was very pleasant and accommodating. He wanted to know where we wanted it placed and I asked him to move it over a little bit more than what he was initially going to do, and he told me that he had some restrictions with the tree that we had in place, but he was able to put it where we wanted it.

    The moving experience was a little bit confusing because we had to call in to have them deliver our pod to a different address. I was hoping that I could just plug in my new address on the website and they would deliver on the scheduled date, but we had to call in and verify our address. Perhaps they didn't want anybody to just go in and steal our pod or have it delivered to another address. So, that was a little bit clunky but the container was able to get to our house on time and as expected.

The website had a lot of details and information on there, and the reps on the phone were very courteous, polite and informative. I went with a seven by ten and it was clean when it got here. They were efficient and on time. Also, the driver was excellent. He was very helpful, and he explained how to pack the pod, as well as how to ensure that my belongings did not get damaged.     I used PODS when I moved from one house to another out here in Pennsylvania. When we were moving some of my mother-in-law's furniture and stuff up here, I called PODS and tried to find out how much it was going to cost to rent a pod that could carry a one room size stuff. The rep was nice and he answered all my questions.

    The driver that brought the pod in for the first time had a piece of equipment on his truck that he needed to lift up cable and wiring over our driveway so they would not be hit. He was very careful with that and he was very professional. He made it plenty of room so that he could operate his own equipment and get the pod in the spot that we wanted it. He also showed me different features in the pod. Then they offered blankets and protective covers. But we didn't need them at the time because a lot of what we brought back were boxes and six pieces of furniture.

    We also ordered a padlock which they brought and opened up for us. They made sure it would work, which it did. The container we got was clean and had plenty of room. I let PODS know when to pick the furniture up and they would call, text and used everything they could to let us know the time when things were going to be done.     I went online and found PODS. Then I went through all the information that was on the internet and compared that with another company that also offered the same type of thing, but felt that PODS had a better set up. They were a little higher price-wise, but I felt that I would get a better service. I booked first via online and then I talked to people, which went fine.

    My only complaint was the day of the delivery at my new residence became complicated because I did not get any confirmation the night before. I didn't know when I was getting my delivery and it was a very harassing situation of not knowing what was going on with PODS on the morning that I was supposed to have my delivery. And whoever I talked to, had no idea where my pod was. I only found out 20 minutes before the truck arrived. That was the only time I heard from anybody on PODS. Nothing the day before like you normally get with the pickup and delivery. That was unsettling and I was unhappy.

    I tried to contact PODS but it was after hours and I don't get any order. So I had to wait until whatever time they opened on the East Coast to even start to get an answer. Their communication is an area that needs to be corrected. But other than that, PODS did fine.     I had a great experience with PODS. I had the PODS and took it away, and then brought it back. I used them in Boston when I was moving furniture out of a home I own there and needed the PODS for my hotel to store extra furniture for about three to five months. I booked the PODS online and the follow-up call was great. I had a lot of conversations with the reps over the phone. They called me because I was at the hotel and they wanted to know what parking lot I wanted. I requested the biggest container that they had, and it was the correct size, very secure and spotless. The only thing was that at night there were no lights in it. But the roof is very translucent, so it wasn't bad.

    I needed moving and storage services and used PODS because of the convenience of it. Overall, my online booking experience was very easy. Initially I scheduled online, but had some adjustments I needed to make for timing so I spoke to somebody on the phone as well. The POD was very clean but it could have used a few more hooks for securing stuff. I had my own bungee straps but there weren’t many eye hooks to connect with. The drivers were all very pleasant on the telephone.

    At one time, I needed to get into my storage unit and one downside was that they weren’t open on a Saturday so that made it a little more difficult. Also, I understood it to be climate-controlled but when I took my upholstered furniture out, it was musty.     PODS is more convenient and economical for me. I booked online and it was very easy. I did long-term storage with them and I'm still with them every month. I also did a one-month on top of the long-term for a local move. I intend to do a long move but I don't know when that's going to happen so I sold the house and put the majority of my stuff in one of the storage places and then I use what I was gonna be using to live with in an apartment in the short term. For the long-term one, I requested the largest one that they have, the 16-footer. Then for the short-term one, it was the 12-footer. The 16-foot one was perfect with no issues at all.     I have used PODS in January and now it's my daughter who's moving. So, we're using them again and I started having this whole issue with the link but it's being taken care of right now. I normally book PODS over the phone and their customer service has been incredibly helpful. What happens is once I book a pod, I have a certain time limit to accept the terms online. If I don't do that then it puts my reservation at risk and I have to do it all over again if my spot isn't saved.

    Today, I kept getting their automated message and I've been having problems getting into my account on the website. When the email message comes up and I follow the link to it, it won't log me in. I had to go in and accept the terms so I opened it up independent of the link. I used my customer and PIN number and it allowed me to go in. I did that this afternoon at about 2PM because I had access to a computer where I could sit down and do it properly. I've been trying to confirm and make sure that everything is okay. I requested the small one and that was the right size for us. I recommend that other people move this way.

    PODS is effective and easy to use. I have used their cross-country pod service. I ordered an 8x16 single pod and stored it with them for a couple of months and moved it from Colorado to North Carolina. The cost I'd spend with PODS is the same with a U-Haul and then I'd have to drive it and pay gas for as well so I chose PODS. I booked online and then confirmed it over the phone and the experience was seamless. Their reps were good, not rude and they answered all my questions. Their drivers were professional.     I got PODS' service for temporary storage. They were perfect. They're more flexible and their way of doing things fit my needs and the other possible similar companies where I live didn't work out the way PODS did things. I booked the 8x12 container over the phone and it was a good size. The representatives were real helpful, knowledgeable, and efficient. They didn't have to leave me hanging there while they go ask somebody what to do. The guy who worked there moved quick and easy. They delivered the pod to my property and I had it for six months. It wasn't gonna be moved and we didn't intend to have it hauled out fully loaded. So, we didn't have them come pick it up and haul it out for storage. We just rented it, put stuff in it and take it all out, sent it back empty.

    The process of them picking it up went smooth. They did a great job and the driver handled the thing like a pro. He's a friendly guy, did a nice job, and didn't destroy the property. It was a neat, interesting process. PODS is booming all over the place and so they'd do great if they had a warehouse right up here and filled it up with all their pods. They only have a warehouse up in Montgomery County and in Humble, Texas but that's 20 miles from where I am.

    I needed on-site storage, and am familiar with PODS. I see them on the road all the time. I had a unit delivered on-site. I used it for a month. I booked it over the phone through Jacksonville and as best as I remember, the rep that I spoke with was okay. I got the 16-foot container. However, I needed something bigger. The hurricane blew my utility shed apart, and I had more stuff in my utility shed than the pod would hold, but I made it work. Also, the pod was on flat ground and was sturdy. We didn't have a problem. The driver that delivered the container put some blocking under it and drove off. Then he came back and picked it up. It was a different truck was his only complaint because it was harder to get it into where he needed to be, but he made it work, too. If I needed another storage container, I'll give PODS a holler.

    We sold our home so we had to put our belongings of 46 years in a pod and moved it to their storage facility until the new home finished approximately, three months later. And then, they brought it out to the new house. I read a little bit about the PODS and they did the storage that I wanted. I heard other good things from Facebook as well. I called for a quote and they were great on the phone. Also, we got a discount for using PODS through the same real estate company that we use to sell our home. I booked online and then I called up to finish it over the phone. When I had it done in auto pay, everything was perfect. They always sent me a reminder that it was coming out. The last payment came out and I've had no problems ever since.

    Everything that we picked was perfect. I never had to change anything. I called in, we set it up and I got the figures. Before October I called them. The representative was great to me on the phone. We got everything handled. We did the delivery date, the pickup date and the duration. They gave me all the information about how much it would cost and I asked them questions. There should be a week's notice if they could deliver. Also, if I've already paid for the month, they don't prorate the month with the storage. But everything that they took care of was fine.

    We got the 12 by 8 pod that was wide enough to handle three to four-bedroom house. It was a big grayish square container with a slide up door. Everything was clean when they delivered it. They asked in the contract that we sweep it out and clean it when we leave, which we did. They delivered it exactly how I wanted it and facing the garage. We bought a lock from them that went over because we were going to store it in their facility. We kept it out in front of the house for about five days and have them pick it up and take it to their storage area.

    It was really interesting how they came and picked it up. I watched the driver that picked it up. I saw him drop it at the new house, how they moved all the things. He was very informative. He told me that he moved it out of the way from the curb because if it was a rainy season or we were having a lot of rain and the water comes down the gutter, it could go into the container and ruin our furniture. So he came, went inside and checked with us if everything was out. We took our lock off of it, he packed it up and took it away. The three drivers that we saw were very nice.

    I needed to have a storage to clear out storage buildings and make room so that I could go through stuff and load as I went through it and get rid of what I needed to because the house was so full. We've been there 17 years, that without PODS, I didn't have enough room to move stuff around to go through what I didn't want to bring. I booked PODS over the phone and it was exceptionally easy. They answered all my questions, and all the people who took the information got it done. They scheduled everything like I wanted it and I got call reminders.

    I got one of the pods to keep at the house for 30 days load while we were moving. The one that delivered it asked me where I needed it, explained to me what he had to do, how much room he had to have for everything and asked me where I want it. I was gonna do storage but then I ended up not needing it, so I just have them bring it directly to the new house. They came and picked it up from the other house then brought it to this one. During delivery, one of the men asked me where I wanted it and he put it right there. They delivered it to the driveway and I unloaded it.

    As far as getting it done, I finished it that one afternoon or morning and they picked it up the next morning. It was really fast and efficient. The convenience was fabulous.     I got estimates from them and another place. PODS rep was very friendly and very pushy about how I should definitely move on making the reservation and how he'd need my card number but the card wouldn't be charged for the reservation. He went on for some time about how PODS was better than any competitor and that I should make a reservation because prices would go up soon due to more people moving. The estimates and reviews from customers of PODS and the other company were similar. The PODs rep who was so friendly and pushy, however, was not clear about how PODS will charge the card I use to make a reservation 5 business days ahead of when their PODS even arrive for loading if it's a long distance move.

    It was a very unpleasant surprise to find a 500 USD charge on my checking account for a service that hadn't even taken place--particularly when their customer rep I spoke with setting this service up explained I could cancel up 24 hours before the PODS arrived. I immediately canceled and went with the other company as it also has high reviews and doesn't charge until their Pods are picked up. I found PODS to be misleading and unprofessional in explaining how their billing works. I'm going with company that charges the same and that is more upfront and transparent about how their billing process works.

    We researched and saw a pod and it fit for us. We booked it over the phone and had no problems. We ordered the largest. My wife kept telling me we could have used a lot larger one, but we made it do since they said that was the biggest they had. They brought the pod up in the way they said they will. The delivery driver was very friendly, and very cordial. The insulation where the door goes up and down fell apart, though, when we had it for about 6 months. It kept falling down in the driveway.     The drivers who picked up and delivered the container were great. They put the rigger where we wanted it and were very careful about the lawn.     We got assistance with moving from PODS a couple of months ago. When we were moving, they were one of the first companies that I found. I reached out for a quote, and PODS got back to me sooner than some of the other companies. It was fine with the rep. I booked my PODS, which was the middle-size, 12-foot container, over the phone. We could've used the next size up, but we were able to make everything fit in the middle-size container that we needed to.

    Everything went fine with the driver. Communication was fine. He called beforehand to set up times. The only negative that I did have was I stated before the pickup day that our things needed to be picked up that morning because we had closed on the sale of the house that day and we had moved out, and the new couple was moving in, and we needed to get the things out of the driveway.     I've seen PODS on people's driveways and they were the only name that came to mind when I needed storage services. I booked with them over the phone and talking with their reps was perfect. I got the larger container from them. During the process, the company made a mistake and loaded my container on the wrong side because the door was going to be in the wrong direction. The guy realized that it was their mistake. He went down the street, dropped it and came back in order to be able to get it onto the right side of his cab in order to be able to drop it on the right side from my house.

    I also called their customer service once since I couldn't get into the lock. It was frozen because of the temperatures inside and the guy I spoke with on the phone was very helpful and made a very good suggestion. I followed that through and I was able to get it unlocked.     I've used PODS a couple of times. Once when one of the bathrooms flooded and I had to empty a bedroom. I put it in a pod until I had my repairs done.     We moved from one state to another and when you're doing a large move like that, it can get really expensive. I thought PODS was less expensive and their customer service was really good. We were selling our house and buying a house so we had to constantly keep changing dates, calling them and putting things on hold in terms of when we were gonna have our pods picked up and delivered to our new house. It was complex but they were really very receptive to us on both ends. We were dealing with the main number, the 800 number and the local office where were moving and everybody that we dealt with was so nice and helpful.

    The only thing that I didn't really like was that when you go on their website and you take a look at their invoicing, that was a little confusing. It took me a long time to decipher it because every time that they called, they generated an invoice and there were so many times. It was hard to follow because it was complicated. It would be not only the monthly rent but also had to do with the moving charge as well. We wanted to make sure that we were settled with our account. But PODS was really great and it all worked out.

    Even the contractors they deal with that actually do moving were also really good. We hired one of their contractors because we needed help with the second pod because of the delicate pieces of furniture we have and we were moving a piano up the stairs. Everybody from their sales to their customer service to the people doing the deliveries and the people that I communicated with to coordinate and to be constantly canceling and rescheduling, were always very pleasant and accommodating. I would definitely recommend them. They're the people to use when you're moving, especially when you're moving a lot of stuff.

    I was remodelling the house so I had to take all the furniture out and didn’t want to take it down to a storage locker kind of place. It made more sense to store on the property but I didn’t have the room in the garage for it. So the pod made sense. I checked and saw that PODS was the only one that offered a delivery of a storage container that could stay on the property for the amount of time that I needed it and then come and pick it up when I was done.

    However, booking with them online was really user unfriendly. I was doing it on my smartphone rather than on my computer. It might have been a lot easier on my computer but on the phone, it was terrible. It was really hard to determine whether or not they cover my area and when the dates were available. It was very convoluted. So I went to the customer service phone line which was much easier. And the lady on the phone was fantastic. She was so helpful when I did the order.

    I got a 16-foot container and the size was perfect, but it wasn’t exactly waterproof. It was right in the middle of the worst storms we were getting and there was a little bit of a leak. But both the delivery and the pickup guys were great. I would definitely use PODS again if I have the same kind of situation. I would also refer them to people because it's inexpensive, too. I love it.

The original estimate was based on the location which was further than the updated one and yet the price has almost doubled. I called their useless customer service and entirely useless manager said that it's based on the zip code. When I told him that the updated zip code was more than 3 miles closer vs original one he couldn't explain anything and just hang up. Way to go useless POZ CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER. The whole thing got me so frustrated that I'll be filing complaint with AG office. DO NOT use PODS if you want an honest and fair treatment. Bunch of liars and thieves!!!

    My pods did not show up to my new house on scheduled date. We had 3 pods and they only delivered one. They said there wasn't room for the others. Basically it was because the guy who dropped off the first pod did not leave them room. He set the first pod in the middle instead of on the side of the driveway. Also had the door facing the wrong way. Then they delivered the other 2 pods when they could get to them. For some reason they had 1 pod scheduled for a Thursday and then the other 2 for the following Monday.

    After two 30-40 minute conversations with their customer service dept, I got my pods back on schedule. So basically cost me double the fee for the movers and to top it off...the pods company charged me for a re-delivery fee. After I specifically asked them if I was going to be charged again and the answer was "no sir, because we did not make the delivery" they said they were going to check the recordings of the phone conversations. They basically called me a liar and said that there was nothing in the conversations that stated this. If I could rate them lower than 1 star...I would. I will never use them again and will let everyone know about this.

    I needed pickup, delivery and 13 days of storage services and I went with PODS. I booked them over the phone and they gave me the wrong information on how much that would haul. They could use some training. I had a three-bedroom and two-bath home and they said it would hold it in one pod. But it didn't. I had to rent a truck and a U-Haul, and a place to put it to go with it. I was upset. That was an added expense that we didn't need to throw after. We paid a lot of money for the pod itself, which was the 16-footer or the largest they told me they had and it was not big. I would have rented a truck in the first place and done it all through U-Haul if I had known it won't fit. Nevertheless, it worked perfectly for what I had. I've been dropped off the container, I loaded it up, they took it away and they'd store it for a year for me.     PODS was one of the only local stores that we could use and the least expensive option for storage. We booked them over the phone and the reps were all good. However, that the timing of the customer service calling to let you know that there's a scheduled pick up is slightly off. I feel that they should be giving at least a week's notice as opposed to two days. However, I think that's in PODS' best interest as opposed to the client's best interest. If they do call a week before, then the client has that option to not roll into an additional month where there are no charges for keeping it longer. I relied upon that because I was notified that I would be given a call and an option to have it picked up on that day or to postpone it. I didn't realize that the result of that would be an additional charge. So, their complementary remind call was deceiving or I didn't understand the concept in its entirety.

    Also, I think that there should be a confirmation with the client to make sure that the width of the driveway meets the requirement of the delivery truck. They don't have enough information to know the minimum width necessary for using this huge frame of machinery to put the pod. They always ask for the clearance of the pod but they should be asking for the clearance of the machinery to get the pod up here. Had I known, I would have told them to drop it at the end of my driveway as opposed to at the top because they damaged some of my fences. But that's okay because they needed to be fixed anyway and other than that, everything else is fine. Also, the container itself was good. Everything's dry and contained from the elements of weather.

    I saw a POD in the neighbor's driveway and got the phone number from that driveway. I like that I can load it up and unload it myself at my convenience. It's better than those little things that can be used for moving as those are too small. The price was a lot less expensive than the others. I was moving from Denver to Medford, Oregon so this way I didn't have to worry about driving the truck. I had the pod shipped, then I drove to Medford and got it unloaded there. The drivers were really great. Nothing was broken during the delivery.

    But the unpackers were a complete disaster. I ended up closing on my house a little earlier than I thought so I called up PODS and asked them to deliver my pod a day sooner. They said no problem and that they'd call me the night before and tell me what time they were leaving. But they moved up the schedule and said it would be in the morning so I ended up calling the company that was going to do the unpacking with me to tell them that the pod would arrive earlier. The rep said okay and told me she'd check and get back to me but I never heard back from anyone. Then the pod arrived and I had to unload the 16-foot pod by myself. And they ended up still charging me the $150 cancellation which is ridiculous because I'd called and she never called me back. It's so frustrating and pathetic. It's been two months but I'm still mad it happened. I would never recommend anyone to any of PODS' vendors for unloading.

    PODS did not deliver my POD as scheduled and did not notify me there was a problem. It seems my POD is missing. Repeated calls to customer service has resulted in nothing as customer service knows nothing. What is alarming is that they won't even bother to get in touch with someone to raise alarm about a missing shipment. This company is very poorly managed at best or perhaps dubious. It is hard to imagine a reputable company not being in contact with a customer over something of this magnitude.

    I was talking to someone in New Hampshire and they mentioned PODS that they had used it before. I've never heard of the company. Now, people talk about them all the time. Initially, I reached out to them by phone just because I wasn't familiar with them and I just needed to have all the details because I didn't know how long I would have that pod in storage.

    I had packed up the pod in New Hampshire and then it was moved to Texas. I spoke to the owners of the facility in Texas a couple of times and they were fantastic. Anytime that I called with like credit card information or anything like that, everyone was super nice. It was flawless. My pod was stored for seven years and then it was delivered to my house in Texas. Now, I've moved to Massachusetts. There were two things broken but it's to be expected after seven years. It was a great experience. Thank God for them.

    We had a little bit of a hiccup. When my pod was delivered to my house, it landed on the water sprinkler system and broke it. But it was repaired and no problem whatsoever being reimbursed for how much it cost. That does not spoil what happened for seven years because they had a fantastic service. Anytime I mention PODS like when my sister moved to Denver, she used them. Anytime I tell someone, usually they use PODS and they've always had a great experience too. So, thanks for taking care of all my friends as well.

    PODS was recommended to us so we used them for our move. The rep was great and helped us estimate what size of pod we needed. In the end, we ended up choosing the biggest one, which was perfect. I had the pod delivered and stored and then delivered again. We would totally recommend using it again.

    We had a pod when we were in Charleston, South Carolina. We were moving into two homes so we split our house up. One part was into our new house in Florida and another part to North Carolina, where PODS took our stuff. It was hard for them to adjust but it worked out well. The recommendations for moving when booking the pod were helpful. I also didn't get too many emails and the people we selected were great.

    We built a new place up in the mountains in the corners, a lot of uphill and narrow 180 degree turns. The carrier was amazing at how he got the vehicle up there. He had very little space to turn around once he got to our house. He managed to do so and it was quite a show to watch him do it. He was skilled and also very pleasant. We had a lot of interactions with PODS' customer service during the time our stuff was in storage because we had to keep extending it. At some point the customer service person said, "We can just put it on temporary hold until you really know your date and then just give us a call." That's what we ended up doing.

    I had a very good experience with PODS. It's been a year since I booked with them online and I ended up having to call to have a unit stored by them. It hasn't been long since it was delivered and it all went very well. Their carrier drivers who dropped off the storage unit were very professional.

    Someone who used PODS previously referred us to the company. I booked a pod over the phone and the rep was very informative and made me feel comfortable that nothing was going to be charged to my account until things actually happened. He also assured me that since we were calling in early, I got the best rate. I availed of their moving services and got the largest pod they had. Once I started looking into the industry, I found out that the largest they had was the largest that anyone can provide for that type of service. But we needed something larger because we ended up having to rent a U-Haul truck to take the remainder of the stuff.

    PODS had our stuff for a week but they never got a chance to be stored. Interactions were also good with the person who picked up the pod to where we were moving from, with the one who delivered it, and with the person who picked up the pod once it was empty. The ones in the Jacksonville area where we had the final delivery were very friendly and were well-versed in how to utilize the equipment because the sprinklers came to the edge of the sidewalk to where the container was sitting. They were able to use things to help prop it up so they wouldn’t damage our sprinkler system. It was a great experience but I would recommend PODS to someone younger. I was telling my husband that we're getting older so if we should have to move again, we won’t be doing a pod ‘cause I would prefer a moving company, and also because we would need a larger truck. PODS doesn't have anything larger.
