The friend of my husband works at PODS and their representatives were great. We were moving and we got their 16-foot container. We were surprised about how much we could actually get in there but I wish the larger one was available. Apparently, those are only available for a longer haul, not local. Other than that, their drivers were very accommodating. Everybody was knowledgeable and courteous and we had an excellent experience.

I heard PODS was reliable. I needed them to drop off a container, allow me to fill it, hold it offsite for a month or two and bring it back. I booked a 16 foot container over the phone and it would have been a little more relaxing if we had a 20 footer, but that seemed to be the best with what was available. My wife and I know how to move and pack and despite being at a location for quite a number of years and raising two children, we still felt we could fit in what we needed to in that container. The drivers who dropped and picked up the container were great.
In between, I called a few times and everybody was courteous and very professional. PODS was very reliable from pick up to drop off and I received great value. The items were stored somewhere and they were safe. I felt that I didn’t have to worry about the container being jostled or things coming off the hook and when I received it, those feelings were confirmed in the condition that I received it. I'm satisfied and I have recommended PODS to one or two people who were looking for short term or moving storage.

I booked online and got the pod that stores three to five rooms. The drivers were helpful and they listened to where specifically I wanted the containers placed. A rep called me to make sure I was satisfied shortly after I scheduled the first one to get picked up and I still have the second one. I'm overall pleased with them and I would definitely use PODS again.

I needed moving services so I researched tracking companies or other pod services. I decided to go with PODS and booked them over the phone. The rep was very professional, explained everything to a T and I was very happy with the service. I had a 16-foot container that was big, light and had sections which were great. We also put it in storage for a number of months and I just called when I wanted it and it was delivered. The delivery and the pick-up people were great. They were on time and called to say they were on their way. It was a great service -- they are professional and knowledgeable. My sister was also planning on moving and I told her to look into PODS. I would definitely recommend them.

I've had a great relationship with PODS over the years. The drivers have been fantastic. They're always working to meet or exceed my expectations. They had picked up a container I had and that contract is now up. I would recommend it. However, my experience today hasn't been good. I've been trying to get a container for the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program. I understand that they go on board for the Marine Corps, but the corporate hasn't come out with it yet. I need it for the Florida Keys and I was told that they would not deliver anything to the Keys. So, that's putting me in a really bad shape right now. I've got 3,000 toys being held in order to find a place to put it in the world of devastation and it's not working out. I've had containers for a couple of years for the Toys for Tots and I'm concerned about not having availability to fit my needs in the next three months. I really need someplace to put all these toys that I've ordered for the kids.

I’ve used PODS in the past and I used them again because they were so perfect the first time I used them. They were cheaper but I knew I could depend on them and I didn’t have to worry about my stuff. Also, if they tell me they’re going to do something, they do it. I used the largest PODS container for my move and the reps were great when I got to speak to them many times. And, the driver we had in Florida was wonderful. He put the container exactly where I wanted to put it. Then the driver in Illinois was great, too. He also put the container right where I needed to put it, no muss, no fuss, bing-bang, and done. If I need to move again, it would be with PODS.

I needed the pod for a month to put some garage furniture in until I cleaned it out and moved it back in. I saw online that PODS deliver and pick up in a sealed container and the process seemed easy so I went with them. I originally ordered a 12-foot pod but they didn't have it so they got me a larger one and charged me for what I had originally ordered. Their drivers were all great. They answered all my questions and were pleasant. The only issue I had with them was that it wasn't clear when I first filled out the forms that there would be a significant separate charge for the delivery and pickup. I also called them a couple of times because I was unclear on the pricing. The bill kept updating and it's very confusing online. Otherwise, I would use them again.

I needed a pod for storage and PODS was the easiest way to do it. I booked online and the process was fine for the first pod. It was difficult the second time because I thought the changes I made went through but then I went back and it was not changed, so I had to call in. Yet I can't blame PODS for it as that was during the hurricane in Florida and they were closed. I got a size 16 and the smallest one. I probably could have used a little bit bigger one on the second try, but the largest one was fine on the first try. The first one was clean and the second one was okay, and they are fine as long as they are packed well. Also, my interactions with the drivers were fine. Everything was as advertised.

Used PODS to move from Atlanta to Huntsville. The driver caused damage to our yard by backing the truck up over a curb and through part of our year, even though PODS had previously dropped a larger unit in the same spot several years ago even though there was a large oak tree that had to be maneuvered around at that time. (The tree is no longer there now.) I have forwarded pictures and was told it would be up to 4 weeks for a response to my claim. It has now been over 8 weeks. Phone calls are not returned and no resolution offered.
PODS has a clever way of diverting their responsibility in matters. When the problem first came up I was told they reviewed the disclaimers I listened to on a recorded message. I lost reception during the call and never heard the complete message. I could not find that information online and even asked where I could find it for review. Today, the term "Response time COULD VARY" when answering my e-mail. 2+ months with NO contact from their e-mail (not the date of the original complaint). 3 business days with no return call, and the first thing I get is an excuse.

Things were really hectic and we didn't have a whole lot of time to research about PODS online. We've heard of them but we had a lot of questions so the rep I spoke with was able to answer them all and was extremely helpful. He tried to make sure that our dates were met and see what discounts we are qualified for. He walked us through every step of the way, so it was a positive interaction with him. I booked with them over the phone and used their pod for storage. We requested the largest container they have. We've had a pod delivered to our house, picked up from our house and then delivered at our new house, and picked up from our new house after usage. It was convenient to have them to move our big and heavy things.
We had the same driver all throughout except for the final pick up and he was fantastic, extremely personable with a great personality, answered our questions and talked us through everything. He even wanted to show off the pod to our kids, and let them honk the horn on the truck. It was fun and good stuff. And then, it was a different driver for the final pick. We live in an area where there were only certain days that could pick up or drop-off. So, that was the only challenge, but everything was positive. Overall, it was a great experience with PODS and we'd recommend them to others.

The air conditioner water leaked on the living room, dining room floor up and the carpet of my house so we replaced everything last July. We remodeled and put our things in the condo and then had to do it over again. I still have stuff in storage so my son suggested a pod, which worked out fine. I got a big and a small one and we had both completely full. The drivers came at 8:00 in the morning and one guy came with the first one. I went out with three boxes because the parking place is limited at the condo. Then I walked back because I took the box, called back, and the guy had to come along from the condo and he helped me back in the house. Then the next guy came along and put the next one down. And when they had to come and pick the pods up from my yard, they came when they were supposed to. Everybody was excellent.

We got PODS for storage and PODS made it easier because we had one-time to load and one-time to unload. I used both online and over the phone booking and had good experience with their rep. And the drivers were wonderful too. We got their biggest pod. There wasn’t enough room for us to try to pack our whole house but it sufficed. I would definitely recommend them.

I had a good experience using PODS. They’re straightforward and easygoing that I had one less thing to worry about moving. PODS had a large warehouse within the 25-mile radius where I currently lived and where I was moving to. So, there was no additional fee for pickup or delivery. I booked them over the phone and talked to a nice person in Florida. I went with the 16-foot container which was the largest one that they have. The driver who came was very professional and courteous as well. He suggested a different location and it worked out fine. PODS stored the container for me and then dropped it off.

PODS had the right size that I needed. I called in to get information and then I booked online. The process was easy and I was able to get the 16-foot container. The drivers did a very good job at calling prior to dropping it off and picking it up. It was a head ups call to let me know they were about 20 minutes away and to ask if I wanted any changes in placements. It was very nice. Overall, the whole experience was good. PODS has fantastic customer service and the personal phone call was a nice touch. They should continue with that.

We are moving out-of-state and we had our POD delivered, we loaded and they picked up, then moved to storage facility. October 22nd: I called to schedule our move and was given a delivery date of October 31st. We then booked airfare, travel, unloading help, utilities, internet etc all based on this date. October 23rd: Our account was billed $2,000+ for the move out-of-state.
October 25th: A representative from PODS called to ASK me if we would accept a later date as the employee had incorrectly promised a date that was not available. I informed her of the countless items that had been coordinated AND paid for once the original date had been given. I then told her we could not change the dates. She offered me a $100 refund!!! $100! I informed her this wouldn't work and I was placed on hold while she talked to her supervisor. 15 minutes later I was hung up on.
I have called every day since and been offered nothing more and NO SOLUTION to this company's error other than repeated offerings of $100 refunds. I spoke with "Jeff the supervisor" today who said I can request a larger refund but it would be reviewed after 5-7 business days by the "resolution team". Jeff then refused to give me his full name, direct line OR email address so that I could follow up with him. This IS NOT OVER.

My mother moved in with me and we had a month before the storage building can be delivered. My sister-in-law suggested using PODS but I assumed that they were too expensive. While I was sitting in court waiting for our case to come up, I looked PODS up and see how much it was, and it was a lot more reasonably priced than I had originally thought. So, I asked my mom if she was interested in doing that and she said that it sounded great. When I called PODS, the salesperson gave me a promotional discount and I got a little bit off the price. It was a bit cheaper than if I had booked it online. The size of the container we got was 12 foot and it was exactly what we needed.
The driver who picked up the container was very professionally dressed. I would never have expected them to look so nice and they were super knowledgeable about their equipment since they were in and out in less than four minutes. They were also on time. They called ahead of time to let me know when they were going to be there. My sister was fascinated with the guy that dropped the pod off. He pulled up, hit a few buttons and flip a few switches and then he was gone in no time. The container was sitting where she wanted it to be. Everything was so smooth and easy. Everybody was super helpful and very informative. We kept the pod for that period of time and kept her stuff in there that wasn't coming in the house. I couldn't have been happier with my experience.

We moved so we went from house to house and we used three PODS to pack our house up and then unload it to our new house. I didn’t want to pay for a moving company and I wasn’t sure how long out it was going to be in storage so renting from PODS was the right way to go. I booked over the phone and the rep was very helpful. And the drivers were very friendly. They called before they came, got the containers in and out quickly, and the experience was good. There were some scheduling issues but the manager was very helpful and was able to loosen things around and support me. The experience was easy, very cost-effective, and worked out for my schedule. I would do it again with PODS if I ever move again.

I had a delay when we could move into our new house and PODS was the most controllable way to do it. I started booking them online and then had questions. I did both pods at different times and I went over the phone more than online because I got more information when I was talking with someone. They were great and very informative but I was a little disappointed in the second pod because when I spoke to the girl, she said that I could get a large one and then the small one showed up. So that was a little bit frustrating but we made it work. The guy said that was what’s on his order and so that was what he brought. I just assumed the girl had made a mistake on the phone and I made a follow up because I didn't have a choice since I have to get the stuff out. We had to run a U-Haul to get the remainder of the stuff but we worked it out.
On the tail end, the driver showed up to deliver my pods and he was phenomenal. We live in a long private drive and down where we wanted the pods, there were no obstructions but we didn’t realize that the wires were too low on the private drive for the truck to pass underneath when he came to the property. He went out of his way to find a location where we could put the pods, hire another U-Haul and transport the stuff to our home. I tried to find out the actual height of the truck and I know there’s a maximum clearance but there’s a leeway there. U-Haul gives actual measurements from the ground up and you could see exactly what the height is. It would be helpful online if they show a diagram like U-Haul. But other than that, it was a good experience and I’d recommend them.

I had PODS pack up our house in four big pods and I needed the pods to be picked up and stored until I was ready for it then delivered to where I moved 20 miles away. The pods were fine such that I would’ve needed fewer if they were bigger but I would’ve needed more if they were smaller. I booked online and the website was good. Also, their reps I have spoken with on the phone and the drivers were all excellent. Anybody who's thinking of moving should use them. I was very impressed.

In October of 2016 my house caught on fire and so my insurance company ordered a PODS unit and they covered the cost of it up until April of 2017. After April of 2017 I took over the payments for the PODS unit. Since then PODS was sending me my bills on the due date and saying that my bills were late and charging me a late fee. When I called to have them come and take the PODS unit away on October 29th 2017, they told me there was three months past due and all the months were paid for and I had the cancelled checks and receipts to prove that they were paid and they were trying to charge me an additional $25 late fees when in fact they were sending my bills out deliberately late.
The envelopes would be postmarked the due date when the bill was due, for example, the bill due date was for the 19th of every month and I had to have a coupon to mail back with my check in order for my account to be credited from the understanding I got from PODS. When they mailed my bill it was mailed on the 19th of every month according to the postmark on the envelope. When I mailed my payment back it would be late of course because I did not receive my bill in the proper time that it would take to get it back to the company on time.
I have all the letters from the insurance company and from the PODS people to prove they were paid and they're trying to claim 3 months of non-payment as well as late fees. Now they are refusing to take back their container until they get their money. This is extortion to the highest form that I can possibly even think of! When I asked for an account manager Cassidy the customer service representative, said she didn't know who that was and I would have to call back on Monday to find out. This is the most awful experience I've ever had with renting a container. That container is ready to go back and is paid up to date and they refused to take it because they want more money and they're not getting it! I will not recommend PODS to anyone and I will not ever use them again!

We had PODS for storage. Their online site where I had the pod booked was very good. Plus the delivery and pickup worked out smoothly as well. The 16-footer pod I got was clean and sturdy. I had the same delivery person both times and he was really good. He did everything needed and he was very thorough on what he did. They’ve been professional, helpful and friendly. It has been an excellent experience.

We've seen that PODS was the best choice for us after we've done a little bit of research. It made more logical sense to not have to rent a truck and make multiple trips to our storage unit. I called them and they told me there was a better value online. I booked them online and got the 16-foot container. They were really kind and super helpful. They answered a lot of our questions and they weren't irritated. We had them drop off the pod and we filled it. Then, they helped store it for us for three months while waiting for our house to be built. Then they dropped off the pod to our new house, and then came back and picked it up. The drivers were great. Even when the first driver picked up, we still had a few things and he helped us loading it. Second to actually hiring movers, PODS is the best route to go. They were amazing and we loved it. We'd recommend them to all of our friends.

I had a very good experience with PODS. I liked the idea of being able to just move the things in slowly and keep it for a month. It worked out better for us this way for this move. I booked over the phone and the rep treated me well. The container was a bit small, but the rep went by what I told her. It's a little hard explaining that on the phone. We read too late that they suggest applying pesticide in the container. It was written in the instructions, but we started putting stuff in as soon as it hit the ground and there were red ants in there. They could have done it themselves to discourage red ants and other bugs from getting in. Nonetheless, the drivers were excellent the whole way. They were courteous. They came and picked it up when they said they were going to and they ended up dropping it off before we got here, but they dropped it off in a really good spot, exactly where I told them. They did a great job.

My wife did a little research and was looking at a couple of storage solutions. PODS had a special deal offered and she said that it was not a bad deal at that time. PODS turned out to be the best option for us. She booked online and the process went well but ended up making a few phone calls because there was some confusion. We requested the smaller pod and we needed the pod picked up and then stored for two or three months. PODS did that and then delivered it without breaking anything. They did what they said they were going to do. They shipped and hauled our stuff away and brought it back when we needed it.
There was decent enough communication before and after the delivery driver was going to come and go. The first time they delivered the pod, I got several calls alerting me that they were coming between this and that time. The gentleman who came was a good driver and he delivered without making a whole lot of mess. There was a lock still left on the pod and he cut it off. Then a day before the delivery to the new house, the driver called to ask how far off the driveway we would want the pod to be. So, there was nothing that I could be frustrated about.

I was looking for a way to move and I compared prices. I narrowed down my choices between U-Haul and PODS. U-Haul just had a tarp over the top of the container while PODS had an actual box. And since I was traveling almost 2,000 miles, I thought it might be better to have a more secure thing so I went with PODS. They also deliver faster and easier. I booked their service over the phone and every time I called, the people who I spoke to were super responsive and helpful. I got the smallest container. Their drivers were nice and very accommodating too. The person who came to pick up my pod the first time realized that my stuff wasn't tied down, so he recommended that I tie it down and told me that he could come back a few hours later. PODS was helpful and I loved their service. They’re all-around awesome. The pod was delivered to my door, instead of me having to pick it up.

We knew PODS, seen a lot of them, and their website is easy to navigate. We got one of their storage pods at the end of July and it worked well. It didn’t leak so we were happy about that. It could hold 3-4 rooms and its door was easy to operate. Their drivers were very friendly and excellent and we enjoyed seeing them with the machine that took the pod off the flatbed and put it on when they picked it up.
I was glad that they let me have it for a month but the price was $125 when we initially look at it and I thought was good. Then the next thing was it’s $350 since we had to pay for the delivery and pick up, which should’ve all been included in one price. The price might have been fair and they had to do it that way because there were different sized ones, but they could've quoted the price instead of breaking it up into 3 different cost units. Yet the quality of service was okay for the price. Their pods were not temperature controlled but it holds quite a bit of furniture and boxes if a temporary storage is needed. They're a good company and we’d recommend them.

I tried to do an online booking of containers for three to four rooms when I was moving and I needed storage, but I got an error code with PODS. I tried it by phone and got it processed. My driver was timely and I had an excellent dealing with her. I live in a condo and there was a parking issue when she was delivering the pods to my new home. I was on my way to work when she called and I was right at the place where I would turn from my old house to the new house. She was willing to wait for me a few moments more but she let me know that she couldn’t wait long. I told her that it’ll be like two minutes at most. I got there and we got it all situated.

PODS worked better for what we were doing and their rep was very positive. We had empty pods delivered, they picked up and stored the full ones then they delivered the full ones to our new house. But we needed to change the delivery date of our pods and it was less than stellar for the first conversation with the rep. Although he initiated a fix, he wasn't the one who finished the problem due to his work schedule. A few other people worked hard and resolved things. I was concerned at first but it worked out fine. They were going to pick up the empty pods later that week so we wanted the full pods delivered on that day. Initially, the response was two weeks out and it was a ridiculous scheduling. The local scheduler in Everett was the one who pointed out that there was no difference in taking the full ones or to picking up the empties. The truck was going out anyway.
We had two 16-foot containers but we could have used bigger ones. I wish we didn't have that much stuff and another eight foot would have been too much but that would have filled everything and that would have been fine. The first container was the newer model so it was nice and I liked it. But the second container was an older model and there were cross beams across the top which hindered a couple things. We were planning on a full eight feet but with those cross beams, that shrank the eight by just a little bit here and there so that was a bit of a bother.
Also, the wood floor in the old container wasn't quite as friendly as the plastic on the new one. There were also some frames that were damaged and there were little scratches here and there which were expected. It was all good with the drivers though and they knew what they were doing. They were efficient so it was fun to watch and it was a cool process. Everything was fine. If you move your own stuff and you don't want to pay for movers, PODS is the way to go and more people should do it. Although rescheduling can get kind of scary, it's a good thing the guys at PODS work hard.

My sister and brother-in-law had recently moved and they used one of the traditional moving firms where they had a horrible experience. I've seen these funny little things called pods and I did some research and I wanted to try it. PODS was an alternative to the traditional moving and storage model and to book, I tried the computer and then I had to go talk to them to make sure I'd done it right. On any scale, I would give their customer service the highest rating. I requested the 16-foot container and I used two of them, but every comment I made back to PODS are centered around the fact that the containers were not big enough. They didn’t get back to me on that but it’s okay because I didn't expect them to.
I told the drivers where I wanted it to go and they put it exactly where I want them, in all three cases, for both pick-up and delivery. They delivered the empty containers exactly when they said they were, they picked up the full container exactly when they said they would, and they delivered one of the two containers exactly where and when they said. The second container is somewhere in storage, I hope, in Raleigh, North Carolina. My wife and I were very, very pleased with the PODS experience. The only "complaint" is I wish the pods were 24 feet because then I might have gotten away with a smaller Hertz truck and not the U-Haul.

We were moving and going with PODS was the best way to go. The pod unit we got from them was stored at our house and we could move stuff into it at our leisure. We booked a seven-foot container over the phone and we had them deliver it to the house. Then the carrier driver picked the loaded pod up at the old house and moved it to the new house the same day. Our interactions with the driver were very good and positive. There were no problems in moving the container and the customer service reps followed up with me. Although we had such a hectic time moving, we had a very good experience with PODS and I would use them again.

I booked PODS online for a storage need I had and their website was easy to use. I requested the medium-sized containers to be used for all the components of our kitchen renovation. Everything was shipped and put in the container. Then from there, they did the kitchen renovation. It was the right size and it did exactly what it needed to do. I was very pleased with the gentleman who dropped it off. He explained what he was doing. In the same way, when another gentleman picked it up, he also explained how he was going to pick it. I was impressed with the fact that both drivers told me their name and shook hands. I was very satisfied with PODS.

I chose PODS for moving and storage because of the monthly cost. I tried to book online but I didn't understand it because of a user issue so I ended up calling over the phone to make sure I got what I wanted. I wanted to talk to somebody about the length of time we would need the storage for because we weren’t sure. They gave me several options with discounts and I felt that I more clearly understood it. We ended up with the 16-foot container and it fit our needs. It was very clean and very sturdy. Also the drivers who picked up and dropped off the containers were so professional and didn’t really talk very much, just “Is this place okay” and I was like, “Yes, it is.” I move a lot and I like to move. We would use PODS again. I would definitely recommend them. They met our needs.

We needed a place to put my sister’s things, and I booked the largest container from PODS over the phone. It was the correct size and my interaction with the rep was very good. However, we opted for a storage place due to cost. The professional and nice driver called ahead of time and I couldn’t have asked for a better interaction. Plus, a wonderful gentleman called to have the container moved and my experience was excellent. It was cheaper to go with the storage unit for us than it was to stick with PODS, but everything was fine.

We have redone the living room and had to move our things out then move them back in again. We booked with PODS over the phone and the rep I spoke with was great and very friendly. The driver who picked up the pod was also very friendly and nice. PODS was the cheapest and they had our property stored for about a month. The whole experience was great. We moved across the country, from Alberta, Canada to Manitoba and it was 1,800 kilometers away. I looked at PODS online, did a little research, got a lot of good comments on sites where people talked about it, and I decided that it was the best way to go. I booked over the phone and the rep was good. We used a 16-foot container that we just had delivered. One time, we also had a seven-foot that we wound up not using. So, I paid for three months, and then, sent it back empty. The drivers here and in Alberta were excellent. Everything arrived just as I put it in there and it was absolutely flawless. I like PODS a lot and I’d happily recommend PODS to anybody that’s doing the same thing.

I rented a PODS storage unit. They did not deliver my pod to my home. We had To rent a U-Haul and unpack and repack the day it was supposed to be delivered. When talking to customer service they said it is ultimately the discretion of the driver and there was nothing they could do, even though I have proof that the pod could have been delivered. So even though the driver is wrong, there is no one that will verify this and there is no way I can get a refund. Costing me $329 for a service that was not provided.

We were delayed over a week attempting to obtain our container in the Cleveland, Ohio area. Their excuse for our inability to reach anyone via phone or email was that their telecom company lost power during Hurricane Irma. Ok... sounds a bit crazy that there was no way to interact, but I was willing to play along. Our phone experiences were varied. One gentleman was extremely pleasant and helpful. The lady we ended up booking through was gruff and rude, but after waiting so long - we had to get things rolling.
Both people accessed the same quote and assured us that the total included absolutely everything. No hidden charges after the fact. We specifically inquired about delivery charges - as we had heard those numbers from other companies - and were assured that they were part of the total we had been quoted. The container delivery and pickup experience in Ohio was outstanding. The driver, Rick, was professional and pleasant. However, we just called to schedule delivery here in Florida, and guess what??? They are telling us that they need $155 + tax!!! Shady!!! Who doesn't expect to get their stuff? This is basically holding our possessions hostage until we pay their ransom money! Unacceptable!

Moved from Bentonville to Dallas and it was smooth. You have freedom of loading and unloading and also you are responsible for how you load it. Only concern is you have to manage the loading and unloading container at your parking spots, but if you can manage then it’s great. Would strongly recommend.

I heard good things about PODS and that was enough for me so I used them when I moved twice. I moved from one home to another where I was temporarily staying, so they actually stored my pod. Then I had a second pod that I got from the temporary housing to my new house. I called them the first time because I had trouble making the internet do what I wanted to do. Their reps were fabulous and very helpful so that was very good. I had the large containers both times and I had the same driver on both occasions. He was excellent and it went really well.
They picked up my first pod, took it away and stored it for 18 months. I'm in Baton Rouge and we had a big flood last year. I had a pod full of stuff but there was no damage there. Then we had a hard time with the second move because of the rain. It took a couple of retries before we got that pod picked up and delivered. The only frustration was it was raining and I couldn’t get my stuff. They said they'll reschedule me again but to do that I ended up calling the phone number of PODS locally because going to their 800 number or online wasn’t efficient enough. The gratifying thing about that was the girl who runs the office here was absolutely phenomenal and always very kind and courteous. Our transaction was as painless as it possibly could considering the amount of what we had to do and I'm glad I went with PODS.

I needed a storage unit for a couple of months and went with PODS because of their price. I booked them over the phone and they were helpful and very easy to talk to. They understood what I needed and they were on time when they said they were coming out to deliver the pod on my driveway. The driver was also friendly and answered all the questions that I had with the loading and unloading.
I got the 16-foot container and it was a bit too big but I would rather have it than something too small. I did a survey too afterward and they checked after. Also I had the POD stored on my driveway for a couple of months while I cleaned up my garage and when I was done with it they came the very next day and picked it up. If the need should ever arise PODS would be one of my first mentions to family members and friends. They made things really easy.

We were going out of the country for a year or so, so we needed a place to store our stuff and that was easy to do with PODS. I booked online and it went fine and easy. We're in the military and we're PCSing. Our house was sold quickly so we had to get everything out to clean it. We booked PODS over the phone and was able to get the biggest container they had. While we knew we weren't going to fit everything, we used the pod for storage. We're PCSing overseas so it was perfect. The driver was hilarious and so were the movers who picked up the pod. They were freaking out because they wondered how it got dropped off and picked up. They all were joking and talking. Other than receiving a call to remind me to pay, everything else was great with PODS.

Since I had a unique moving schedule, I called them a couple of times because I didn’t know my actual moving schedule. Their rep was very good. I told them exactly what I was going to do and they helped me out immensely. I felt more comfortable talking to people. I ended up changing the schedule a few times. When the pod was being delivered on the East Coast, the driver was a couple of hours late from the time it was supposed to be delivered because it was coming from a Bakersfield depot and that person was about two and half hours off of the schedule. But he parked it right in my driveway which helped me out a lot.

I got PODS for moving and storage since we didn't know exactly when the move would occur. It was an economically viable solution for my move. My property was stored for three months and I was satisfied with the experience. I went with PODS after doing research on the different costs for the service. Also, the other transport companies didn't have a storage facility where we initially proposed to move. So, initially, we booked a pods unit online, then we continued with conversations over the phone.
The website was satisfactory, but a lot of questions were not answered, even when I talked to the customer service reps. For example, PODS had a 16 by 8 by 8 container, but that was not its actual dimensions. I asked for the exact internal dimensions because that was critical with how I would store or put stuff in the container and how much would actually fit in there. But the reps didn't know the internal dimensions and when they finally gave them to me, they were incorrect because the container had ribs inside which took out an additional two inches on each side and actually reduced the amount of carrier space by four inches. Stuff could be put between the ribs, but the way that they calculated the available space in cubic footage was incorrect and misleading.
There was no bigger size container and, as an engineer, I had laid out and knew in advance all the items that I was going to ship and I had sold what I knew wouldn't fit in the container, and I had all my things pre-arranged based upon the dimensions that they gave me. But then, when the pod showed up, its dimensions weren't what they had given me. So, in the 12 hours before loading the pod, I had to recalculate what would go where. I still was able to get my things all in, with eight cubic feet to spare, but I had to readjust and spend four hours recalculating so that my things would all fit within half an inch of each other. Then I had to fill in the last eight cubic feet of space using empty boxes so that stuff wouldn't move and shift during the move.
The bottom line is, I wouldn't have had to redo all my plans if they had given me the correct dimensions to begin with. The problem was, PODS didn't let the reps know the usable dimensions so the reps couldn't tell this to the customer. The reps were just guessing and that wasn't good, but they told me the dimensions as if they really knew.
But the container itself was fine. In addition, all the drivers were very courteous and professional, and our interactions were all very positive. The drivers seemed to know what they were doing and I realized too that PODS doesn't pay those guys a lot of money. But definitely, the people who came represented PODS well. Also, the pricing was good and I was comfortable with the cost. But there was no prorating of the storage and, although I knew about that upfront, I didn't like it and it created an additional problem for me. They gave me a five-day grace period when I moved, but going one day over meant being charged for a full month, maybe for simplicity in billing. But sometimes when people move and purchase a place, they can't determine when the closing date is going to be enforced, and that happened to me. My move date shifted, so I ended up paying a full extra month for just a couple of days.

I moved into a new house and I had an entire professional woodshop in addition to a home content to move with me. I used PODS because I could choose when I load and unload the pods with different amount of stuff. I booked the first pod online and then I found out that is not going to be near enough pod for me so I booked another two PODS on the phone. Both processes were seamlessly, wonderfully, and beautifully done. All three pods were the largest they had and they were clean and sturdy. They had areas where one's supposed to put the straps on them and nothing was broken. Things shifted a little bit but that’s okay.
When the drivers came to pick up, everybody was on time. Yet there was one driver who was a little bit snarky and was complaining about the driveway being too narrow and that the tree there should have been cut, but I think he was just having a bad day. The other two drivers were magnificent and amazing, and everything was fine. I then called PODS to pick up the two pods and they picked them up quickly. Everything went smoothly. There's still one pod sitting in my driveway as I have stuff that I haven’t been able to have room for yet, so they'd pick it up when I tell them to. All in all, the experience has been fast, efficient, and easy.

They brought the pod and took it away on time. They had a hiccup when they came to get it as something happened during the day and they let me know what it was. Other than that, it was clean and I used it. I called PODS and told the rep that it was needed for storage and how much furniture I had. He suggested a 16-foot size and that's where we went. I could have used a bigger one but I didn't want to do that because it would have made more units in my driveway. The driver was nice and very courteous.

I moved and used one of the largest containers from PODS. PODS have good reviews and also had a facility less than a mile from my house. I did most of everything online but I had to call them for any changes I needed to be made. The representatives who spoke to me over the phone were professional and courteous. The drivers were on time for delivery and pick up, and both delivery drivers in Maine and in Florida were extremely professional and nice, too. Everything went according to plan and they covered everything on their online content, which was straightforward. In general, I like using the POD system rather than a moving and storage. It takes a lot of hard work but you get to control it.

I have used PODS before and I have always been happy with them. It was very easy, convenient and professional. I have used them to store my daughter's dorm stuff for the summer. I booked it online and it was very easy. I got the smallest one, the seven by seven, and it was plenty. I didn't meet any of the drivers so the interaction I had was on the phone. They go to the college to a little ways away from our home. We had questions about where to put the container and they were very friendly and very knowledgeable. They did everything very well, and I'll use them again at the end of this school year.

I was moving and I needed to use a storage for three months until my house was built. I was looking at other avenues but a friend recommended PODS. I also had used them in the past because I needed storage and it was very convenient, like hitting two birds with one stone and I didn't have to rent a U-Haul. We got three containers from PODS and had them stored and moved from California to Virginia. At first, I only booked two 16-foot containers online but then, I decided to have a third one. The container was a fiberglass box with metal corners but the big problem was the doors bent through. I had to go up for a lot of times, reach down, feel around and play with stuff but I finally got them to work. The drivers were all also good and very helpful. Everything went fine and the experience was very satisfactory.

I went on the phone and rented two16-foot containers from PODS and then moved them to different state floors and stored them. The reps that I’ve talked to were very friendly and I had only one little issue that I called, but everything was fine. We had one pod come one day and the other one was delivered and picked up a week later because we couldn’t have two at the same place. I called to change the date of one and they said okay, but I never went online to look. When I called the day before it was supposed to be coming, I asked for the time and they said it’s still on the same date. They never changed it like they said they did. It was not a big deal but it was kind of stuck in. The drivers were all very friendly and polite and they came on two different days as there were two pods. I hope PODS will keep up the great work. I recommend them to everybody because we’ve had an awesome experience and I’ll do it again if I have to.

We needed the pod. We requested for the big one. We filled it up and then it was moved and dropped at the new address but it wasn't a long storage. PODS' flexibility and the price were good. Those were the two big things why we went with them. The reps were fine. We had one square centimeter of space to spare. When I booked this one on the phone, the young man I spoke to tried very very hard to talk me into the smaller one even though I was confident that we needed the new one. Had I listened to his advice, we would have had half the room that we need. He was dead wrong and insistent about that. Happily, I stuck to my guns and we got the right size of the container. The drivers were amazing. One guy showed me how the truck worked and he was super nice. Everybody was good. PODS was a good value and a well-run company.

We rented a 16-foot long pod from PODS to temporarily store furniture as we were prepping a house to put on the market. I booked online and I got a phone call from them to confirm when they were going to drop it off and then called again for the pick-up. The container was perfect and clean. We were ecstatic. Also, the ones who delivered it were on time and they put it in the space that we needed in the driveway. I was also there when the drivers showed up and picked it up and the guys were really good. I packed them up and they moved them and stored them for me for a few weeks and then delivered them to the new house. The drivers were very friendly, congenial and helpful. I had contacted them because there was a problem with my delivery due to the site where they were being delivered was not ready yet. I was moving cross-country and I got PODS' services because they're well-known and they're easy to use. It was easy to book with them online. I first got two 16-foot containers but I called and had it adjusted because there's not enough space. The drivers that both picked up and dropped off the pods were very helpful. They were the ones who helped me get the last item into my last pod and get the door shut.
I also asked the ones who dropped off the pod to make sure they tied the pod a bit back away from the door because I had three, very full pods and they did that with all the pods. I just needed an extra push on something and the driver just stepped right up to do it and I thought that was nice. Everything was great. It was good entertainment for the neighbors when they dropped it off and picked up the pods. They loved it.

We had to store some of our furniture prior to being able to move into our new house. Booking online with PODS was fine but if I ever wanted to go look at it or edit it, it did not seem that easy. Instead of being able to go in and edit an existing booking, I had to actually create a new one. It was very confusing. It was also hard to verify the schedule so I had to call a couple of times. But once I got the confirmation from them, I felt better.
We rented the 16-foot pod and I liked the fact that it had a lot of tines where you could tie cords and bungee cords on the inside because that really helped out. All the drivers were great and they knew how to maneuver. The guy that dropped the container off got it right on the edge of our driveway and right on the edge of the sidewalk. They are very good at little, minute movements of the controller to get exactly where it needs to go. I’d recommend PODS to a friend and if I had to do it again, I’d definitely call them.

We're moving out but we don't have a house to move into yet and we needed a storage until we get a new house. Someone had used PODS in the past, inquired about it and based on comparison with other companies, it was the cheaper and better route. I initiated the booking on the phone and ordered two pods, but maintained everything online. Their reps were kind and respectful every time I had an interaction with them, and the person on the phone helped us decide on the pod's sizes. We got their largest and medium sizes, 16 and 12-foot respectively. I dealt more with their drop off drivers and they were great, very careful at where they placed the pods, asked questions and double checked every time so it was an easy and efficient experience. I'll definitely tell other people about using it too.

When I called around, I heard PODS was the best moving and storage company and so far, the experience has been good. I did my first booking online and the website was very easy to use. It was the same with the second one which was by phone. My mother used it because of the experience I was having. When she moved, I ordered one for her and the whole process was perfect. I got 16-foot containers and it was enough for us since we sold a lot of our bulky stuff. When we received my mom’s pod, we didn’t see anything damaged. The driver called about 30 minutes before letting us know they were coming and that they were picking it up. They asked us where we wanted to put it that is convenient for us.
I moved out of state so they still have my pod in Florida. I’m going to transport it down to North Carolina as soon as I buy a home here but it could be a little bit bigger. I called about a month ago trying to find out quotes to be able to ship the container down to North Carolina and they gave me all the information I needed. The price that they charged was reasonable but we're in Lake Lure and I have to drop off the pod in an Ashville office which is not too convenient for me. Nevertheless, PODS is an honestly great company and I’m happy I used them because moving is stressful and they made it easy. I would recommend them anytime and I would use them again in a heartbeat.

We got PODS' moving service and we used their 16-foot container. I mostly booked online but I also had a few phone interactions. I particularly liked the automatic calls that they sent me. Their carrier drivers were professional and on time. However, I've had a problem with the overhead cover of their container. It's hard to close and it hurts your fingers when you’re trying to get a hold. You also couldn’t keep it partially open. It was either closed and locked or swung up. But overall, my experience has been helpful and I'll use them again.

I rented two 16ft POD containers for a period of a month. They were both delivered dirty inside and one of the locks was broken. I left detailed instructions on their website and at my residence and with the driver where to place them which did not happen. They decided to place both pods smack dab in the middle of the driveway. We were not able to park our cars in the driveway and there is no on street parking so we had to have them come back out to move them 6 feet further into the driveway and they charged us a repositioning fee of $134 x 2 ( $269) for this and did not tell us upfront that there was a fee for this, and after several phones calls and getting the runaround from this awful company we are stuck paying for this service that should have not happened in the first place.

I really enjoyed booking PODS online for my moving and storage needs. It was easy to do and it was on the to-do-list of all the humongous stuff that I had to do but it was something I could also schedule like at 1 o’clock in the morning. I was moving a 2,400 sq. ft. house and the container I got, which was the largest that they have, was easy to set up and the stuff I put in there worked out perfectly for what I needed. When we moved the container to the new location, originally, the driver set it down facing the wrong direction but he was able to pick it up quickly. He took it to a local parking lot where he had enough room to turn everything around, and then, he brought it back and he set it down the right way. It was a very positive experience.

I moved from Jackson, Mississippi to Atlanta, Georgia. PODS is the transport and storage company that I would turn to or look up first or get a quote since they're all over and their advertising and marketing is very prominent. So, I got a pod unit from PODS to store my furniture in Atlanta. I used it as a storage unit in the driveway of my house. It was awesome and perfect. I booked the drop-off of the pod over the phone, then I booked the pickup online. It was so easy to navigate the website and the booking process was very fast. They picked up two days after I signed up. The people I spoke with on the phone were wonderful and they gave me multiple quotes, which was very helpful.
The carrier drivers were incredible. Our driveway was narrow and my husband was so impressed and blown away that they were able to maneuver the truck with arms and drop the pod off and pick it up. They delivered when they said they were going to and they picked up wonderfully. I'll absolutely use PODS again and recommend them to others. PODS was recommended to me by a moving company because I was moving a short distance and they don’t do it. They said PODS was a good way to go. When I called PODS, the rep explained how the system works and what the costs were. The rep also recommended three groups that do loading and moving out in my area. PODS was the one most well-known for having the containers dropped on site, picked up and moved, and they had the size that I was looking for. I wanted time to box things up, throw them out in the pod, and get it prepped and ready. If I had a bigger one, I could have continued to put more stuff in it, but it all worked out efficiently. I ended up using PODS for part of the move, then, I hired another moving company for the big furniture. Also, their reps were attentive and kept track of everything. All went off very smoothly. We were moving and we used PODS to move stuff out and then bring it over to the next house. They also stored them for a while in between. I recognized the PODS name. PODS was close to the cheapest and the most convenient. Every customer service representative I spoke with was very personable and they seemed to be knowledgeable as well. Their container looked new and looked so small but I managed to fit everything in there. When it arrived, it was in great shape. We had to have the drivers move the box one time and they were very helpful and flexible. It wasn’t the smoothest transition though due to the city’s restrictions on parking given that I was moving to an apartment in Brooklyn. If there had been a driveway, it probably would have been easier to go with. But I was very happy with PODS. They were reliable and efficient.

PODS was awesome. We were moving and we rented a large pod from them in July. They stored it for about a month and then returned it. I booked the service online. At first, I ordered the medium size but when I realized that I needed the larger one, I called and the lady made the changes for me. She was knowledgeable. PODS could ship and I did not like renting U-Haul where I get charged by the day. So I booked with PODS online, called in and the process was easy. The rep and I discussed scheduling time and I got their biggest pod delivered to me for moving. The driver was very nice and the container was clean. I had it brought in a couple of weeks before the move so we could slowly load stuff in, instead of rushing one day. We put a shelf in the container but I wasn't ready to put that in yet. The shelf was only three hours in the container but it was so hot when we grabbed it. The container has an acrylic top and it made the inside of the container very hot so we could not put anything in. It sat in the driveway for about two, three weeks and we had to buy a tarp to cover the top to cool it down. My experience was excellent and I would get PODS again but I won't bring in the container as early as I did since it can get really warm inside.

My roommates said that we should try out PODS because we’re moving and don’t have any place to put our stuff. Plus, we don’t want to charge a storage unit for a month. It’s going to be there for only a few days, so we decided to make that decision. We did most of the stuff online. I ended up doing all of the work for getting the POD there. The final destination and other stuff like that I did via the phone. Online is a bit clunky sometimes because I was trying to get a large POD but then when I refreshed the page, it said, “I’m sorry, your order cannot be processed.” Then there’s this “Only 1 PODS left” message. I had to go back and do it again.
Also, there are things that we messed up on. We had a whole bunch of things shifted around and bump up against the door so it made it really hard to open the first time. Eventually, we had three people on the door to pick it up because we didn’t realize that our bookshelf has fallen. But for the most part, PODS was a great choice. It was amazing to deal with these people. They were cool. There’s a lot of miscommunication with the distances that created unneeded stress, though. But, overall, they were very fast, reliable and they are always willing to work with us even if we didn't make the right plan dates.

We were having too many complications when we moved so we booked PODS over the phone and they gave us much more flexibility than traditional moving methods. Their representatives were pretty straightforward. Aside from giving me a quote, they were quick and helpful. Ours was a little unusual because we have loaded our stuff into a truck for our move and then we ended up having that truck taken to a PODS facility and unloaded everything into a pod.
They were really helpful about making the process quick. The driver called ahead of time and said he was coming. Our phone interactions were great. They essentially showed up with a truck, dropped everything off and then left. Everything was fine and we had no problems. Overall, it was a challenging move and the flexibility that PODS offered was pretty good. It worked out well and we're definitely happy that we were able to use them. We would certainly use them again in the future.

I was moving from Maryland to Florida, and had to book with PODS over the phone because of the distance. I had a very good experience because though I had to change pods twice, they were very accommodating. On the day that the packers were coming, we opened the pod and it had water in it. But, they immediately picked that one up and called another one. Then I had more stuff that could fit in one pod, and they got another one there quickly. So, it was a great experience. They also gave me a little bit of discount, which I didn’t expect because they turned it around very quickly. But, it was appreciated.
The packers worked very hard, but they didn’t do a top-notch job of getting everything tucked. Plus, we had a hurricane down here. So, when the pod was opened, everything had shifted. It was hard to get the doors opened and there was a little bit of damage on some of the furniture. But then, it has nothing to do with the pods, but with the packers. Overall, PODS was a great way of moving all my stuff with such a long distance without being totally overwhelmed by the cost. They picked up and delivered on time, and it was cheaper than hiring the big van. I'm quite pleased, and would definitely recommend them to a friend.

PODS is good. I’ve enjoyed my experience with them. Getting everything out of the house and being able to have it delivered when I want it, and then unloading it on the driveway seemed pretty convenient. I got two of their largest containers, however, I wish they were a little bigger. But I told the drivers on my order where to put it and they put it where I needed to have it and it worked out pretty good. I will probably use them again and would definitely recommend them to my friends.

I’m completely satisfied with PODS. I compared different moving companies to one another online, and PODS’ system looked to be well-priced and efficient. I booked a seven-foot square container from them on the phone and had it picked up, shipped, and put in my driveway in Florida. I also got emails that indicated the schedule of what’s going to happen. Everything went according to plan except when the driver and I had a little confusion over which truck was coming to the house. The driver called me before he got there and I made a mistake of thinking he was somebody else. The container was dropped off within a window of time that was convenient for me. It was then picked up after I’ve left Colorado and it was delivered here on time. PODS held to the schedule and they made it easy for me.

I'm a realtor and I needed a big-size pod for a client for storage before moving. The rep on phone was a little talkative but very helpful. He had things he needed to figure out but he got it done last minute for me. The driver called me. They were very prompt and arrived first thing in the morning. Everything went great and they were very efficient. It was a positive experience.

I needed to pack stuff and store it for about a month and then move it three hours away. When we did the quote with PODS a gentleman called us and talked about our options. He made suggestions based on how many rooms I had. They also walked me through every step of loading, unloading, packing and relocation. We also had some follow up confirming their service.
I got the 16 x 8 container and it was sturdy and worked really well. I was nervous about leakage on it because it had a plastic topper on top of it but it did really well. It also had the little hook so you could tie things down if you wanted to. The gentleman who dropped the pod off in Jacksonville was good. He was very thorough. The moving of the container went really smooth and the experience has been very convenient because PODS brought the thing to me and I didn't have to move stuff.

I like that PODS is the middle ground between the cost for using a full mover versus getting a truck. I started booking online but had to talk to someone over the phone. It was a good start, but it didn't have everything I needed. There wasn't a lot of information you could use to get everything done and they pretty much required you to call. It needs a few more components so one could understand what could be done. It also needs someone to check schedules. But the customer service was excellent and they were easy to get a hold of.
I got the biggest container available and it was clean, but I still couldn't get all my stuff in it and I ended up using other means to move what didn't fit in the pod. I've used PODS twice now and each time, I wished there were more ways to secure or tie stuff down and more hooks or tie downs throughout the container as they were sparse. I was pretty good about packing and securing and wrapping all the stuff. However, I had one thing that got damaged during the move.
There were at least four drivers and they ware all good and very professional. The guy who helped me when I moved in Fresno was terrific, friendly, and helpful. My only issue is with my driveway not being long enough. I measured it and it met the specs, but the driver said it wasn't long enough to do everything they needed to do. So the requirements were slightly off. Also, the system that tells me the estimated arrival time for the driver was only right once. I set an estimated time and one time they were way early and the other two times they were way late, so I had no confidence in what the system said. But in the end, PODS worked as I had hoped.

PODS advertising leads you to believe that they deliver their container to your desired location for loading. Then deliver it to your desired location for unloading. This is true only for certain locations. If not - "Oh sorry, you're screwed. Thank you for using PODS." They have big trucks which can deliver these containers anywhere but they refuse unless your locations are within certain zip codes. This is after paying more than $500/mo. to keep 2 containers. Then over $1000 each to deliver each, not to our location but to where we are supposed to hire another mover to unload their container, load into another truck for delivery to our location. This is a recipe for damage to our furniture. Never in their advertising do they suggest that you'll be screwed like this.

I used PODS before and I got them again for a move. I booked online but the only problem that was confusing was the price quote. The online quote for the pod had a $30 or $40 difference to when I spoke to a real person. The representative couldn't understand what I was talking about the price difference but I needed to get it done so I went ahead. The driver came when he said and picked up the pod. He was really good. I had easy access to my account and my experience was fairly easy. It was a pretty good service.

PODS was the only company that did everything we needed. We needed the pod onsite to load it for a number of days. We needed it delivered and then, we needed it left onsite for a number of days while we unloaded it. What we thought we were going to pay was what we paid and the drivers were nice. They arrived two days late but it wasn't a logistically big thing. The experience was everything we expected. PODS made our move from Salt Lake City to Las Cruces, New Mexico easier. We're happy with them.

I tried to pay my bill today and had this experience. The website will not accept a new payment method, so I had to call the toll free number. It was a nightmare to navigate the system to get a live operator (certainly, there is no option to press "0”). Once I got through, the operator tried to take my credit card and told me there was a problem with the IT system and it would not accept any type of payment. When I asked to be called back by someone once the problem is fixed, they told me they are an "inbound only" company. THEY DO NOT EVER CALL CUSTOMERS - even when they screw up. Unbelievable. There is no customer service here. Just people who answer your calls (eventually) and tell you to call back when their IT department. And yes, the IT department does not work on Sundays. Ever. Never ever again will I use this company. Life is too short for this much frustration from a vendor whom I am trying to pay.

We used PODS for both moving and storage. The turnover time with which we had to get out based off which we could move into the new house was the determining factor when we selected them. I dealt with them online and then worked directly with Jeff, the manager and had him try to arrange a time with me. He was phenomenal and it was a great experience. I had a time opening earlier than the original and they worked me in and accommodated me in every way.
I requested three 16-foot containers. I needed a fourth 16-foot but we had a yard sale, so we tried to consolidate a little stuff. The pods were good but obviously, some shifting went on. We had a little scuffing of some furniture. But we packed it and that's our fault. So, I have no complaints with PODS. The drivers coordinated if I was going to be home, confirmed where I wanted it placed, and which way I wanted it facing. PODS is good overall.

I'm going to start with the negatives so people can see them first, because this is a long story. At this moment, PODS is in possession of our belongings 2,000 miles away despite the fact that it was to be delivered to our new home yesterday. We equate this to theft because despite numerous checks on our part, the company lied about our items being transported, they could not track them down for a period of time, they cannot tell us when they will arrive, and we have already paid for all of their services. We have called and called, and the response when asking to speak to management or a supervisor is that the person on the phone will "email" them. It's a mystery who these upper-management people are or how we can contact them, which is super shady.
Furthermore, we are without furniture and though we did all of the correct planning and verification on our end, PODS still failed us and they are failing to accept responsibility or to help. We expect to be contacted ASAP. PODS should do the right thing and refund the money pertaining to the POD that now needs to be shipped cross-country. Frankly, they should also pay for the movers that we now have to re-hire since they were unable to unload the POD today.
Here is the whole story: When moving from Colorado Springs, CO to Southborough, MA, we researched various moving options and decided to use PODS. On the Colorado Springs end, things went fine. We spoke to customer service reps on the phone, and our containers were delivered to our Colorado home and picked up from our driveway on time. We moved in two waves; the first container was filled and sent in April 2017 and the second two containers were filled and sent (we thought) in July 2017.
We were easily able to access the POD that was in Massachusetts as of April 2017 when we needed items from it. We went to the storage facility in Wilmington, MA after having given the requested 24-hour notice. The employees were polite and helpful and again, there were no issues. However, things began to go south when we inquired where the second and third PODS were in August. PODS discovered that neither had been sent from Colorado, so we requested (and paid the shipping fee) that they be sent to Massachusetts as soon as possible as we were in the process of purchasing a home. We were assured on multiple occasions via the 800 number and our PODS portal on their website that the items had arrived in MA.
Two weeks before closing on our new house, we scheduled the POD delivery. Yesterday was our closing date. We never received a delivery window the night before, and after calling the 800 number several times and being assured every time that we would receive a callback but never getting one, PODS sent two containers to our new house. We placed the first phone call at 8am and the PODS arrived after our last phone call at 4:30pm. The customer service reps were not able to give us information on where the 3rd POD was or when it might arrive, but they said they would call us in the morning (do you see where this is going?).
This morning, we called our local PODS office in Wilmington directly every hour. Every hour we were told they didn't know where the POD was and that they'd call us back. Every hour we called them back because no one reached out to us. The territory manager, Alberto, was unprofessional in dealing with my husband, referring to him as "buddy" at one point ("look buddy, we don't know where it is"). Then he finally admits that the POD is still in Colorado. There were literally movers at our house to unload, and the missing POD contained all of our furniture with the exception of beds. At 12:30pm, Alberto was told to ask the customer resolution department to contact us immediately. We never received a call.
As people who work in service industries, we are blown away by the lack of care, concern or information provided by PODS. We will never use this company again and we will advise everyone we know against using them. It is unacceptable that our belongings did not arrive especially with multiple queries over the last month to ensure that we would have them today. Disappointed is an understatement. PODS - I see that you've responded to other customers asking for a private message. We will gladly message with you but you need to provide instructions as to exactly how we can do that. Your 800 number representatives have no idea how to contact the right people; if you're the right people, then you need to tell us how to contact you directly. Thanks.

I love PODS, they're excellent. We needed to package stuff up and store them until our son who's in college decided where he was going. I knew the PODS name and I started looking into other companies as well. But I decided that PODS had the experience and I felt most comfortable with them. Booking the pod was easy and I was on phone with their rep for an hour and a half because I was gossiping with him when I called. In theory, our son was going to be in a one-bedroom apartment so we got a small pod. We checked it out when we got it and it was clean. And we packed it from top to bottom, side to side and front to back. It was perfect and nothing moved.
Their guys also always called us and let us know when they were coming and when they were on their way. Both of the PODS drivers were superb too. They were very polite and informative. In fact, the day that they came and picked up the full POD, we weren't there but everything was great. We were very happy and I love the whole process. I want one of those podzillas in my house too. Whoever invented it has to be the most brilliant person in the world. It looks like it's riding on a flatbed truck and they push a button and this thing comes over and it grabs the pod and then it picks it up and moves it over. Then the other thing slides in and it clicks the pod gently down and unhooks it. It was an all around excellent experience.
Our son kept his belongings with PODS from the beginning of March until the end of July. The problem was he was graduating and had no idea when and if he was going to get a job right away. His dad and I live in an RV, but we also just bought a little house. Our son been with us and helping us and I was going to leave his stuff with PODS but I said, “You know what, this is crazy. Let's get your stuff.” Also, our son was in a two-bedroom apartment at school and there is not a really huge chance that he was going to end up with that much space when he has an apartment he's paying for himself. It's good that we got his stuff because now he can sort through them and I can take back some of my old stuff that I gave him because we were in the RV.

PODS’ availability and cost made me decide to go with them. I booked a 16-foot pod online for storage services and the process was easy. The container was clean. It had normal wear and tear for a unit being used multiple times but everything was good to go. The drivers were great, very helpful and quick. I watched them maneuver the equipment, and everything was safe. There was a billing issue that I had to follow up on with customer service, but everything was taken care of.

We lived with our parents for about six months until our house was finished being built and we had PODS for storage. I got a quote online but I got an even better quote when I called them. Though their rep said that there was a larger option, the pod that we got had two rooms worth of things. Then when they dropped it off, the driver was running late but my husband said that she did a really good job because the driveway was kind of weird. Our experience with PODS was great.

We had a storage unit delivered to our home. We packed all our belongings and called for pick up. So far so good. Three months later our new home is finished and ready for us to move in. We called to schedule delivery only to be told that they do not deliver to our new zip code. After a lot of run around on the phone I asked to talk to a supervisor. Kathy from Florida says she is very sorry but she can do nothing to help. I asked for a phone number so I can contact the storage facility that is holding everything I own hostage but she says she is not allowed to give that to me. The only option is for me to rent a moving truck, drive the 50 miles to the storage facility and pick up my belongings myself. I couldn't be more disappointed and I will never use this inconvenient service again. I would also recommend that anyone looking for a moving service run away from this badly managed company.

In June, I left California and did a cross-country move using PODS. I got the 8x8x16 container and I chose the right size. It was perfect. It was clean, sturdy and showed no sign of water damage or any kind of damage to any part of it, any plastic or wood. They lifted and closed smoothly. It was a good unit. The pod was delivered to the place where I was staying temporarily in Santa Rosa, California and I had people pack it up. PODS came the next day, loaded the locked pod, and it headed to Pompano Beach, Florida, and I left the next day. I drove to Phoenix and stayed for five days, and my pod made it to Clearwater the day before I made it, driving across country to Pompano Beach. I was very impressed with that. It beat me across the country.
I’m older and I don’t trust the young much since mistakes can happen. So, I worked directly with PODS associates, mostly all in Clearwater, Florida when I booked with them. I’ve got four associates and they all knew exactly the same thing. They had no trouble pulling up a record as to what I was doing and where we should be with my order process. The California driver could not have been nicer, he answered all my questions and did a heck of a job putting that pod in the driveway where it had to go. He knew his equipment and handled it with respect. He was there when he said he would be and called ahead, so I was aware he was on his way. He has a good heart and he is a loyal worker.
It was questionable when pulled into a pod storage facility. I drove by one in Santa Rosa, California and then I drove back to Pompano Beach to the facility there to see where it was and there was no one there to talk to. You look at all those pods everywhere, wondering which one is yours and how they’re going to find it, but they did. So, all was good, I’m very pleased with the company and I highly recommend it.

I've had bad experiences with other moving companies. PODS were outstanding. They did what they promised, at the cost they promised, in the manner they promised. They were great from beginning to end. I booked with PODS online and over the phone. The customer service people were very helpful and polite. It was very interactive getting the whole thing set up. We had two of the 16 container and we decided to only use one. They took the container that I've used from New York to Florida and took the other one back for a minimum charge. The driver couldn't have been better. Everything worked out as far as I know.

We were doing a remodel and we got a pod because we like the convenience of it being at our house and we can access the storage unit when we needed it. I booked with PODS online then I called them because I wanted to make sure I had the reservations. It was easy and the reps were very helpful. I got the biggest container they had. We packed it and it didn't leak. The drivers called to let us know they were on their way and they were on time delivering the pod like they said they’d be. When we were ready for them to pick it up, they were there on the day and it was perfect. It was just really nice and I would recommend them. If we ever needed PODS again, we would do it again.

When I was moving from Atlanta, I looked at all the companies, especially in case there was a big price difference and PODS was the most flexible. I also chose them because I used them a year and a half before and they were very good. I knew I could count on them. I got a 16-foot container in Atlanta in January and kept it until it was delivered in Virginia in July. I booked it online and over the phone as well to complete some things. When PODS picked it up in January, there was a quarter-inch ice storm which made Atlanta go nuts. At first, the manager told me I wouldn't get anything and that they cancelled my delivery which was terrible. But I said I really needed it and I've got movers scheduled to load it up. The rep called me on Saturday morning which was the day I was supposed to get the container but it had been cancelled. However, he said he can get it out there around 12:30, so that was good.
Also, I had a new driveway and when they dropped the pod off in Virginia, the guy said it might damage the driveway and make an indentation. I accepted the risk but in the end, there was no indentation. They were careful about not damaging my property and thought almost like the homeowner. Their truck guys have always been great which is another reason why I go with them. I had six to eight different truck guys over the last few years and they were all great. If the face of the company who's meeting me at the site was not good, it's not going to work. But all those guys from PODS were really good. I'd recommend PODS and I'd use them again.

I saw an advertisement in a military brochure that we would get 10% off of the cost of a pod, so I called PODS. I knew we had a lot of moving around to do and this seemed to be the easiest operation and the most convenient. I told their rep that my husband was a retired military and asked if we could get the discount and she said yes. She quoted me prices and gave me information, but we found out that there were some things that she did not include, like the taxes, and that there was no discount on the part when they picked up the pod. We only got a 10% discount when they delivered the pod. We found these out when we got the bill and that was very deceptive to not tell us that. So, I was a little upset. But except for that little kink, the overall experience was good. The container itself was clean inside and we didn't see any leaks. The guy who dropped it off and picked it up was very nice and efficient, too.

My story is very long, so I won’t bore you with the details. The short version is, we had two 16’ long containers delivered to our driveway. We had to cancel the order and get them to pick up the empty containers the very next day, because we could not fit our hot tub in either of them. The website and the salesperson said the containers have an external dimension of 8’ in width, allowing for a 7 foot opening to accommodate our 7 ft wide hot tub. One of the containers had an external width of 7 ft 6 inches and the other 7 ft 9 inches. Neither had an opening to accommodate a 7’ hot tub through the opening.
PODS charged us the $977.41 for the delivery and storage of the two containers anyway. Had I known I was going to have to pay $977.41 for services not rendered, I would not have cancelled and would have found another solution for moving the hot tub, but when I called to cancel the order, the customer service rep gave me the impression that picking up the empty containers was the end of the conversation. PODS is guilty of false advertising and unethical business practices. They prey on people during the most stressful time of their lives, selling a house and moving. Shame on PODS for stealing $977.41 from me and my family!

1st call - Scheduled POD. Never received email confirmation for delivery but had my bank info and a pending transaction. 2nd call - Called to verify a delivery; scheduled date was not processed. It was never entered then I was asked to verify my credit card information again. Day of delivery was for 9/29 between 12-3 PM. Received a call around 2 pm day of that POD could not be delivered until 10/3 because of an issue at the local office. So we cancelled due to having to move out that weekend. We were told a refund would be processed and to wait 2-3 business days. Day 3 rolls around and no refund. 3rd call - Inform about refund; no refund has been processed and was not pending. I asked to speak to a supervisor and ironically one was not available. Rep assures me refund is now in progress but it will be another 2-5 business days.
I asked how I can get refund expedited and she told me she need my bank fax number and transfers me to another department so I can give my complaint. TRANSFERRED and guess what? The next rep. has no idea what is going on and has no idea about the process of expediting a refund with a bank fax number. So I give my whole spiel again and she gives multiple excuses as to why my refund may or may have not been processed but explains that she thinks refund will be there by the 5th day. So we'll see what Friday brings. Either way they will never have my business again. Needless to say verify all orders are being processed. Better yet don't use this company. They lack communication skills and no one wants to take any responsibility for their mistakes.

I used PODS before and recently, I ordered four pods from them for moving. I booked them over the phone and their reps were all very helpful. Their drivers were all great as well. They went out of their way to service us. However, the company that we used on the loading were super expensive. It was one of the companies that PODS recommended and they did a good job but they were extremely overpriced. So I went out on my own and found some local guys to do it and I must have saved myself $1,000. And those guys did a pretty good job, too. But what I really appreciate about PODS is the flexibility of having the containers delivered. Because we didn’t know where we were going to move, I needed to store the pods indefinitely. I totally recommend PODS.

PODS was a brand that was most commonly referred to and had positive feedback. I booked a middle-sized 12-footer container online, but I knew I had to speak with them several times for the changes I was going through. I needed to understand when the drop off would be, what I needed to do at my home and when the pickup would be. They were always very clear about it and helped me understand what I needed to get done and that there would be a call from the driver. There were no surprises.
With the drivers, it was robotic and it was quite fascinating. They were happy to let us watch and they knew what they were doing. The driver was very skillful and very pleasant. I was going through a lot of work to move and PODS helped me and made it very easy to deal with them. I had the container stored at a location then I had it retrieved so I can get my things back. I'd use PODS again.

Price and convenience are reasons we chose PODS. We went online but ended up calling them because we wanted more clarification on dimension. When they provided it, we ordered the largest one, the 16-foot pod. We were surprised that it was actually brand-new and it was very nice. I actually saw the first driver down the street. He was picking up the pod from a house three houses away and he brought it right down to ours.
The guy that picked it up was helpful, and had no problem. When he dropped it off, he put some little boost on the back with bricks that we had in the yard. We have a slanted driveway at the new house so it would be level for us. Also, the drivers showed up on time and they always called before they got here. We recommended for somebody to use them.

I had seen and known the name PODS and it's been synonymous with sales storage techniques. It came right up when looked for them online. We had a total of five pods spread over a seven month period. We've had four 7-footer and one 16-footer container. I booked five pods online and had telephone conversations with them to follow up on other reasons and issues which were mostly with respect to scheduling. They solved problems that I couldn't sort out on the computer. It was an updating issue as there was a delay in the computer system. You really don't know that you've got it until they confirm five minutes later. So it's hard to use and there's also some kind of an interlock when you're scheduling.
There's a lot of dates that you'd like to use that are blacked out. But if you call and talk with them, you can get those dates. The reps can go online, can see the computer, make the changes and confirm them verbally. That’s happened on three different occasions as we've had to reschedule because the new house is under construction and we could get into it on the dates that I had first assumed.
We had very little interaction with the driver other than the first day. I wanted to make sure that the pods were in the right place. All the subsequent days, we knew when they were coming because we had to schedule announcement. They've been very good about following the instructions putting the door to door faces -- the container face, door face, against the garage door face -- so that's worked out fine. They also always provided all the material that we've asked for like the locks. They brought those out and gave them to us. They're very good, courteous, and disciplined. They knew what they're doing and it was very straightforward. We're very satisfied with what we've done.
We're unloading one pod today and we're going to unload two more over the next three or four weeks and that will be the end of it. And we're in the new house and so we've been bringing them in one or every other week and just redistributing the materials back in the new house from the pods. It's worked out and it's fault-free except for this once in a while little issue about trying to get confirmation out of the computer that I’ve done to reschedule. But the phone people have always been there and they've been always very effective in getting it fixed. It was also kind of fascinating the way the conveyor system works. I'm an engineer so I was fascinated with how that's done. I am now more conscious of PODS than I was before.

We have used PODS at my work before, and they were very generous. It was a nonprofit. So, I had a positive impression of them. I got them to store my furniture while I was doing a remodeling, so I won't have all of them in the house, and I'm glad I did it. They should advertise more for remodeling as opposed to just moving.
I booked the pod over the phone and all my interactions with their reps were pleasant. They came, picked up my furniture and stored them for six months. Then they brought them back, and I was done. The container was clean and the right size. The truck driver who brought it the first time was really nice and helpful. He had a lock I could buy from him right there, which was very handy because it hadn't occurred to me that I needed a lock. The guy who picked it up was also really helpful. They both came on really hot days but they were professional, on time and called in advance. The one time we parked the pod on the street and the other time, we put it on my driveway. They knew what they were doing. I would use PODS again.

We had our house for sale and I booked the 16-foot PODS container over the phone. The representative was great. We had the container brought in and the drivers were very professional. We have a curvy driveway so they really worked protecting the grass and they did a great job. The pod was really clean too. We filled it and sent it off. We were hoping we could use PODS for moving but we ended up getting storage ‘cause we had to bring my daughter's stuff back to the house so we could unload for her. She moved and part of her stuff was in there with ours. I tried to do that online but it kept kicking stuff back. It wasn’t really user-friendly so I wasn’t real thrilled with it. I ended up having to call customer service and she walked me through the process to make sure that I got the pod delivered back to the house. Afterwards, we stored what we needed to store back in the garage again. We were very happy with PODS.

PODS had a big name and when I called around they had the best pricing so I booked with them. I talked to a rep and she was very knowledgeable. She knew what she was doing and set it up quickly and easily. We had the 12-foot pod and it was sturdy, clean inside and it has a solid floor. The driver was great and very helpful as well. When I needed to know the date that they could pick it up we were able to arrange all that and CS took care of that one. They were very good and I would use them again.

Back in July, I needed PODS so that I had a pod to move some of my things. PODS was convenient, and it was smooth and easy to book their services online. I asked for their 16s container which was entirely big but was perfect for my needs. It arrived fine, clean and without any damage. The guys who came were quick and knew what they were doing driving those trucks. They got in and out at my old home and my new home easily. The experience was great and I'll use them again.

I liked the idea that PODS drops the container off and you could fill it up on your own time then call them and they'll come grab it. I got the 7-foot container and my wife was a little concerned that there wasn't going to be enough room but you can squeeze a lot of stuff into it. It was clean and sturdy too. Plus, it was easy to open and close the door. I was a little worried about some of the fragile stuff because when they came to pick it up, it swings a little bit. But, I was happy that when it was delivered it didn't seem like anything shifted at all.
Also, their driver was very friendly and he explained what he's going to do. I'm in Waikiki on a very busy street and he was able to pick up the container quickly and not interfere with traffic. I was very impressed. The only thing you may need to worry about is, we moved in the summer so it was really hot inside the POD. That was one thing that people should be concerned about but everything about PODS was customer-friendly. They sent an email and called me right away to confirm. They were super convenient and organized too. I've moved a lot being in the military and I've used a lot of different moving companies. I would definitely use PODS again for both moving and storage. I would recommend them.

I used PODS for moving and storage. I like their reputation and them having satisfied customers. It was fairly easy to book online. For the first experience it was easy to get them to set the pods where I wanted and the site showed you exactly how to do that. In one situation I had to make a change and needed to confirm the date but it wouldn't show me the change in real time. I called and the rep told me that I needed to log out and get back in. It was very simple and the customer service was very helpful and very cordial.
I got three biggest pods which I kept at my old residence until I close and then they moved into my new residence. The drivers explained everything and asked me where I wanted it and how I wanted it to face. They also showed me how to operate it and reminded me to get a lock to make it secure. They opened them up to show me that they were clean but one of the older ones was a little hard to open. I liked the ones that you raise the door overhead instead of opening but the challenge with that one though is when you stack them too high.
My mover knew how to pack the pods because they were packed and I had to rung it a little bit with getting that overhead up because if you get those two tied up at the top then there's no room for the overhead to open. But the people that dropped them off were very helpful and cordial in showing me everything. And when they shorted me a couple of blankets the guy dropped them off on the next one. They jumped on every request that I had.
The customer service called me afterwards. He made sure everything went well and they got them picked up timely and then I was completely satisfied with the services that they had provided. It was just simple and I certainly would recommend them. The experience with the drivers is probably the most critical because they're the ones that are face-to-face with the customer and the guys that were dropping off were exceptional. They were not matter of fact like here’s my job and I'm dropping it off. But they were conversational and very pleasant. They made you feel special as opposed to, “Hey, you're lucky we're doing this for you.” PODS is a good bang for your buck.

I liked the convenience and the ease of not having to drive a truck from Houston to Chicago. I booked with PODS and their rep got me all set up, and we were ready to go. We had four different drivers, and they were all great ambassadors for PODS. They're the face of PODS - the actual people you interact with. And all four, you could tell they love their job. They love how cool it was to operate the machinery to take it off the truck, put it on the ground, and vice versa. I highly recommend PODS to anybody. The ease of not having to load a truck yourself or drive it somewhere is worth the price.

PODS was a personal recommendation of a friend. I initially booked online but I eventually spoke to someone on the phone as well 'cause our situation changed. Everyone I spoke to was very helpful and it was a good experience overall. The team showed up at the house, asked me where I wanted the pod put and put it right where we needed it. And then, when they moved it, they showed up at the new place and asked us where we wanted it, put it there, dropped it and took off. I was looking for a storage or moving company and decided to try PODS. I booked a 12-foot moving container over the phone then I found out that I needed a bigger one. But by the time I was into this thing, I already put my $5,000 in and it was too late to turn back. PODS is expensive and it's unfortunate that I found out only after I spent a lot of money. If I had to do it again, I wouldn’t go towards their direction. But the container was clean and though it had a few dents, that didn’t prevent me from doing what I needed to do.
Their drivers also kept in touch with me. The one who delivered my container was very pleasant and he represented PODS well but the second driver who picked up my container in North Carolina was rude and when I turned around, he was gone. I am glad that he wasn’t my first impression of their company because I would’ve made him pick that equipment up and take it back with him immediately. He didn’t say anything to me, but his demeanor was not good.

PODS was put in faster and they're more reliable so I didn't have to worry about my stuff being taken. Initially, we needed them for moving but events happened and it turned into storage. I got the smallest container and it was the right amount for what I needed. The driver dropped it off and I put my stuff in the container. Then it was shipped off the next day. The driver contacted me each step of the way and he told me they were late because of the snow. My experience with them is not bad overall but it could have been better. After everything was situated, PODS still charged my mother's account for $419 so she had to get that disputed.

We tried to book PODS' storage service online but had some issues, so we wound up calling customer service and getting their take there. We got the largest containers they offered and it was clean and well taken care of. I didn't have any issues with getting anything set up, however, there were some issues with the delivery because of how far we were from the location for the new address. We weren't able to get both units delivered like we had requested, but we worked through it.
When we requested the PODS to be delivered, there was a certain way that I wanted them delivered at the new residence. Due to the number of drivers that were available at the time, rather than both units being delivered at one time, they had to deliver one unit, go back an hour and a half, pick up the other unit and then come back. That was a bit of a discouragement and it would have been nice to have both PODS here at the same time while the movers were here to get everything unloaded. We had to unload the second pod ourselves. But the team who came was pleasant and did what we asked them to do.

I had a very good experience with PODS. The other company I saw had small containers then I saw PODS on TV and it looked good. So, I called and the rep was really friendly and nice. I felt like I'd known her for years. She didn't mind me calling back a million times to ask some questions. She had a lot of patience and that was great. I got two pods, one was a 16-footer and the other was a 12-footer. My house isn't real big and I had it redone so I used one pod for furniture and the other for boxes. I had to keep them in the driveway for a while. And it gets a little pricey when you have to keep it but I had to do it. It was the easiest thing to do. The pods got nice lock and keys that I could use, it was easy to lift the door, and they didn't have a leak or anything.
At the end, I called PODS to pick them up. And once PODS got the message, they came shortly. They were always helpful and friendly. And the driver was real careful. We have an awkward driveway where I moved so he had to really maneuver that carrier. And he knew how to maneuver that thing very well, it was amazing. One of these days I might need them again.

I had repairs done from water damage and I needed to move my furniture out of my house. But, I couldn't get it all back on the same day so I got a pod and had some of it moved in there for a short time. PODS was easy to use. Booking them online was straightforward and they were clear about what their charges were. I got the 12-feet container and I was surprised that part of it was made out of wood, but it worked fine and my items were secured. The driver called ahead of time and left messages, but I wasn't at home. But, I described to them where I wanted to put it and they went ahead and did their stuff and I didn't have to be there. I was also able to print out invoices for the proof of payments for my insurance company who paid for half of the fee. Then as soon as the pod was empty, I scheduled the pick-up because they couldn't pick it up for several days if I'd waited until the end of my lease.

I saw PODS in a driveway years ago and it's a great invention. I talked to the drivers about the start-up because I was always interested in that kind of entrepreneurship and they did a heck of a job. I have a small construction business so I often need storage for the tools and materials that I use. I booked PODS online for that which was pretty easy and that's one of the good points of the setup for an old Adonis like myself. Besides the online ease, sometimes I had to give specific directions to the dispatch and they were great.

When you're going to order the first time they tell you that it's easy to schedule a final delivery and you can schedule the delivery 24 to 48 hours before. When I tried to schedule my final delivery, the website was showing my delivery as schedule, but on the next day it was not showing anymore. I call them and I was told that it takes at least 5 days because of the distance. Since they have my address and zip code on the first day the website should not give me the option to schedule 2 days after the day that you requested. Now I'm getting into a new home without any furniture for a week because of that. You need to search everywhere on the website to find something about the time that they need to deliver the container.

I moved from one house to another and I rented three pods and they stored them for several months in between. They were cheaper and I was able to load them myself and put them away. I should have gone with a larger one, instead of three, but the pods were clean and secured. I booked them online and then I had to speak to some reps as well. I had some minor glitch with the place and things one time. I had to make a last minute change and the reps were very good about it. Also, the drivers worked with me even though they were making last minute changes and they were picking one up and dropping off another. It’s great and I'm very pleased. I had a very positive experience with PODS. Everything was delivered on time and they followed the price quote as described. I was moving from a small one-bedroom apartment across the country. Because I didn’t have a lot of things, I didn’t need a big moving company. I also needed about a month of storage due to the lag time when I was moving into my new apartment. PODS was the best option for me since they provide both of those services. I booked them over the phone and I had a great time talking to their rep. She made out exactly when I was going to be charged for each of the different processes because you don't get charged all at once. You get charged as each step happens. She laid that out to me and that ended up being accurate. She also helped me determine what size of pod I needed. I got the smallest container and everything was fine with it.
The drivers were very professional and nice too. However, when they delivered the pod unit, PODS had my address wrong and so their driver had to reroute. And then when they came to pick up the pod, they had the address wrong again. It was a spelling error. But other than that, I had no issues. The first guy who dropped the container off at my apartment in Maryland had some difficulty because of some trees overhead but that ended up being fine. Also, my stuff was in the same position as when I packed it. My experience with PODS was pretty flawless and easy, although it would have been nice to be able to rent some moving supplies like ropes and moving blankets, and not buy them on your own.

I am in a rural area and PODS was the only temporary storage company that would come to me. I booked online the largest unit they had which was perfect for what I needed it for. They did an awesome job and they had the pod out here when I expected it. They had to put it in a unique location but they were able to put it there and it worked out great. The unit was in our garage for about three weeks. Then they picked it up when I expected it and when I called them and asked them to. The guy who picked it up was new to the company but he was very good. I was charged correctly and I didn't have a problem at all. I got a couple of emails from PODS asking me if I had any questions and to let them know if I had any problems. I followed up too and it was a good experience. I would definitely recommend PODS.

I moved a house into storage and kept it there for a couple of years till I bought another house. My experience with PODS has been positive, easy, and convenient. They were competitively priced and I ended up doing the actual booking online, which went smoothly. I got a 12-feet container. But, there was one little damage to a lawn chair because it shifted due to the way it was packed by the movers. But other than that, everything was fine. We rented a unit from PODS for a personal move. We went with PODS based on personal knowledge and personal reference. I booked the unit over the phone and my interactions with the rep were very professional and thorough. Everything was explained clearly and the paperwork was emailed properly. I ended up hiring a moving company too. It was a complicated situation. We were making a temporary move and doing a permanent move afterwards. The 16-foot container that we got was exactly the right size and suitable for what we needed at the time.
I was impressed with the driver. He was friendly, courteous and professional. I have a narrow driveway with a lot of overhanging trees and he was very careful and skillful in maneuvering that thing he was driving in there. I was worried that he was going to bust up my trees, but he did a great job. On both ends, at the delivery and pickup of the unit, the same situation occurred. I called Customer Service once while the unit was in storage to confirm a delivery date or billing but that was just a minor issue that was handled properly over the phone.

Well getting PODS was supposed to make my life easier, well it wasn't!!! My house buyer was to pay my rental fee, I was told they could call and make payment with login ID and password! Well he called was told he was all set, then when payment was due I got a message saying payment was denied. When I called I was told I needed to sign something for him to make payment!
Needless to say we were doing a quick sale on house. We were to be out within 45 days and it was very hectic and difficult for us to begin with to pack up a house that was lived in since the 70's in 45 days and then to deal with this nonsense from PODS! Then we changed our destination and were told it would be less money only to be told when payment was up that it was more money than was last told. I just think they either need better training or they have to have a clue what is going on! Sad part is I had a few employees that were so trying hard to make my life easier! How sad! I did customer service for many years and had my work been this awful I would have been fired! Shame on you PODS!

There was a period of four to six weeks between leaving my house and moving into my new house. I had to have permanent storage somewhere so I picked PODS. They were more easily acceptable and their plan worked for what I was headed to do. I also hired their people to do my loading and unloading. I booked some stuff online but I also called and had somebody talking me through. Everybody I worked with was very helpful. I got the 16-feet container size and they packed two PODS full of my furniture and things from the garage then unloaded those PODS for me. I had another storage building where I had already put stuff so they went there, loaded all up and brought it over to my house then unloaded it once again for me.
The container was very sturdy and reasonably clean. There was no debris in it at all. I had trouble with one of the locks that I couldn't get the door slide open and shut. I don't remember having that trouble when we loaded up, but it was a big deal when we unloaded it. I had to get a hammer to tap it to get it to move. But other than that, the container was in good shape. Then also, I got moving blankets to wrap my furniture in that came from the people who did the moving part for me. I put them in the pod, thinking that they were supposed to go back to PODS. I called PODS to see if we could get the blankets back to the other people but it was already a long shot. I ended up paying for them because we couldn't find them. I was anxious about everything but it all worked out really well and I was very pleased. If anybody has to move, PODS works.

We used PODS and then the moving truck to eliminate having to move everything on one day and having something happen and run out of time or not being able to fill the truck. The rep I spoke with on the phone was good and there were no problems. They only had two sizes available in our area so we got the smaller ones. We partly wished we had gotten the bigger one, but it was too big and we weren’t ready to move everything. It would be nice if there was a medium size because we weren’t moving all of our stuff and we could have put more. We just weren’t ready to fill that 16 foot one.
The pick-up driver didn’t seem willing to walk around and find the best spot to put the pod. Also, he didn’t provide any recommendation or guidance. We were worried after they dropped it off that it wasn’t leaving enough room on the street for cars to pass, but it ended up being fine. Other than that, the experience was helpful overall and we were glad that we did it.

I used PODS both for moving and storage. I booked online, had three 16 foot containers delivered and loaded them. Then PODS stored the containers for me and brought them back later. I had a little bit of problem due to availability but their reps were very helpful. They called the local storage and got an availability for me, so I was happy about that. Using PODS was more efficient than using any other company since I just moved my stuff in once rather than moving them to a regular storage, unload them then reload them again. My sister used PODS about four years ago. And so, when we moved this time I just went straight to PODS. I called them to book the service and so far, everything's been great. Booking was easy, and every time I needed to change something up or ask something out of the norm, they went above and beyond helping me. I have had a very negative experience with PODS and I will not use this service again. First, the container they sent me was leaking and the rain overnight soaked my sofa and carpet. I phoned them the following morning to swap the container. I was so distressed as I had to pay helpers for the loading and now I have to pay helpers again for the swap. But what made it worse is the Customer Service response to my distress. I was upset and I told her I choose PODS instead of Uhaul and I expected excellent service per the good online reviews but the Customer Service responded by telling me "maybe you should have used Uhaul". I was so upset and I asked to speak to a Supervisor and after a few minutes my phone went off. I called again and Tina (not sure if name is correct) was of great help, apologised and transferred me to Brianna the Supervisor who promised that someone will contact me.
So far I have not heard from anyone from PODS apart from the charges on my card. I had to pay Helpers again to swap my stuff to the container they delivered. This was not my fault that they gave me a leaking container. Thinking my nightmares with PODS is complete I was wrong. Due to the floods, I had to wait for delivery, and I understood and I patiently waited until the office was open again and my heart goes to all of the people in Florida who were affected and when I rang again I made sure to as the Customer Service personnel if he was ok and his family. But again, rescheduling my delivery, I requested for morning delivery due to parking issues, I clearly told customer service that my new home parking is a problem and morning is the best time to deliver. But when it came to delivery day, I was given afternoon slot.
I phoned customer service 3 times that morning begging them if possible to deliver in the morning coz that is what I was promised but my plea was falling on deaf ears. They were not interested in my desperation. All they spoke about is the scheduled time. Not even an apology coz this was not what I was promised. I work in a field where I deal with Clients and I will never treat them the way PODS customer service treated me. PODS record telephone conversation and I am sure if am lying they can listen back and check the many times I have called Customer Services. I begged for a service which was not provided free but I have paid more than $1000 to be so frustrated.
But not all Customer Service personnel were unhelpful, Scott, Jeff and another gentleman were really helpful. The Drivers at Shreveport were amazing too. As for me, I will never use or recommend PODS to any of my friends. Maybe I should have listened when that Customer Service PODS person told me I should have used Uhaul. Maybe she was right. I would appreciate a response to my complaint.

We stored our things while my house was being remodeled. I used the three-room pod service of PODS for the three rooms in my house. I booked the service online and doing this was very nice and easy. The customer service was very good. The rep helped me out a lot and explained some of the procedures that I didn’t know so that I could understand what others were doing. I got the largest container that they had and it was the right size for our needs because it was full after we had loaded our things on it. The container was clean and everything on it worked well. The young driver who picked it up was super. I was surprised to see a little fellow handle that big storage unit, but he did a beautiful job. The service was a little expensive, but other than that, I had a very nice and good experience with PODS and I would recommend anyone else to go that route.

I needed the storage pod to put stuff in during a remodel and I talked to a guy from PODS over the phone. There's a little more detail to booking it than I thought there would be but my interaction with him was very good. The delivery guy was also very nice and the container was in good shape when it came. It was clean and the door was rolled up. I had the largest container they could get me and it would have been the right size for us but we ended up putting some stuff in the storage shed that got cleaned out so we didn't need as much space. Everything worked good and they picked the container up on time. But we had an issue when the homeless parked a car right in front of the pod and we couldn't find her. So the PODS reps came back the next day, which went over a day, and they didn't charge me for about a month so that's awfully nice of them. PODS was very efficient and they provided excellent service.

I used PODS before and read some reviews on them. I booked online, which was great, easy and efficient. I rented one of the medium size storage for about a year. All the drivers were courteous. They verified where I wanted them to put the pod and put it right as to where I wanted to have it. When I called back to have a pod picked up, they made sure the driver was here the time they said he was coming and they gave me a courtesy call that they were on their way. Then they took care of the pod the same when they were back. They also sent me an email to do a survey and I had three people from the company who called me and made sure that it was a good experience. It was excellent and I’d recommend them to a friend.

PODS was the easiest to get a quote from. I just got it right online and then I set it up on a Sunday afternoon for the delivery next morning. The other companies that I looked into weren't so easy to navigate and I had to call and they weren't available that day. The guy who brought in the container was great. I had to hold the phone line out of the way so he'd get the container to where I wanted it. He helped me move the basketball back where I didn't think about and put it right where we needed it. I also talked to the guy who picked the container up over the phone when he was on his way. I told him I wasn't home and he just came and got it.

I booked a pod through the website, and I also called them because at times I needed to actually speak to somebody and didn't always have access to the internet during the course of the move. Both experiences were efficient. The driver who delivered the pod was courteous and pleasant. I appreciated the heads up when he was within a few minutes. The container I requested didn't hold as much as I had expected it would. But in retrospect, it was good because I wasn’t moving more. Overall, I had a great and wonderful experience with PODS. They were organized and it was what I expected.

This is the second time we've used PODS. This time around we stored our household goods and then had them redelivered. We had a very good experience coming from Hawaii for a military move. So, we tried them again because we needed some place that was climate controlled and we projected we need the stuff in storage for at least a year. We used the large 16-foot container and it fit our needs. When we finally brought it out of storage, we found that the military had some culpability in paying some of the storage fees and things for us. PODS problem management team, Kyle and Sherilyn, were both great in getting the documentation that we needed to support that. The PODS system was upgraded and our account number was changed in the middle of our storage time, so we couldn't access our records from the earlier periods. They were great in tracking that time.
Also, the local storage area that we had our things stored at was excellent. The people at the OKC storage was fantastic. Kevin and the workers there treated us very well. We had the container pulled out a couple of times to rearrange the stuff. My only problem with PODS was dealing with the internet quote and the phone quote and getting them to stick to what we were told. The first time we got the bill, it was supposed to be $119 a month which included tax. First time we got a bill, it was $167, and it took me a while to get it back down to $119. Then they had to change it to 20 more dollars a month.
In the US, you're used to the customer being right, and they were saying that we didn't read the fine print and that they can raise the rates if they want. That turned us off. I'm not sure if we would ever do PODS again because it was just a lot of emotional ups and downs with them. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending PODS, but I would give some caution to know what you're getting into before you sign the contract. It worked for us, but it was very stressful at times.

We were moving from Virginia to California. Originally, we’re going to load up like a U-Haul and drive that across the country. But the SUV we had was too big and couldn’t be attached to the back. What would happen is that we’re going to have to drive the U-Haul across the country, come back, and then drive the SUV too. We wanted to do it all at once, so we ended up booking a pod online and just ship it. That way, we only had to drive across once.
When the pod was dropped off, I was the only one home then. I just went out and the driver dropped it off with a big machine. We had a couple of days to fill it up, then PODS moved it to our apartment. Overall, it was easy and fast. Booking was done in 10 minutes. While we were barely able to fit everything, he was very happy with the whole experience. Everything was great.

My son used PODS with his move from college and because of that past experience, I used them again for storage and delivery of a pod to the new home. I went online and booked the 16 foot container but I had issues because the terminology they used on their website was a little confusing. I booked the biggest pod online and doing that was fine, and the container I got was definitely clean. I had it at my property for a week, then I had them pick it up. It was then placed in a storage facility for three months, then it was dropped off back here for another week. But I should’ve done a better job of tying stuff down in the pod, as I didn’t think about it being high up on a truck and potentially rocking a little bit. But other than that, everything was what I expected it to be.
I spoke with the PODS people on the phone when they were either dropping off or picking up the pod and everybody I talked to there was fine. They were understanding and did a good job, so everything from the customer service perspective was great. The drivers did exactly what was needed and they knew how to deliver, pick up, and find my address. PODS was extremely helpful and they did exactly what I needed them to do. Most storage companies wanted to load a van, take it to their big warehouse, unload it, keep it for a month, then reload it into another van, and then bring it to my house and reload it. In my experience, oftentimes, movers either lose or damage things with all of that moving. I called PODS for a move of a primary residence from Virginia to North Carolina with one-month storage. I booked a 16-feet large container, and the service was good.
The drivers showed up, moved the pod and delivered when scheduled. And they were very good when we had to change that. However, PODS double-billed me on the storage but when I contacted them, they set up a claim and reimbursed me for it. They resolved it quickly but if I hadn’t looked at my bill very carefully though, I would not have noticed that. Overall, they provided a good service and the field people were excellent.

My company used PODS in the past. When I needed a pod for storage, I booked one of their 12-foot boxes online although I'm pushing 70 and I don't trust the internet. But it was fast and if a guy like me can get through it, anybody can. The person that dropped the pod off was a nice and friendly guy who knew what he was doing. He had some problem with whatever that offloads the pod but I've got construction guys here and they got it going in about 10 minutes. I used the pod for four weeks and PODS seems to know the business since the stuff came and was picked up when I asked. My experience with them was brief but it was better than I expected and it worked.

When I chose PODS for my move from Texas to Michigan, the price was one of my considerations. I also thought of its convenience as I can put everything in the pod and not have to drive a truck. We like the convenience of PODS team coming to the house, aside from the storage area that they have, so my wife picked them and got the largest container. We loaded up the pod, they picked it up and then they stored it. After that, they placed the pod back at the location. Everything about customer service was done online and the best part about it was that we didn’t have to deal with rising charges. We had two storage units and then we had the pod. With the pod, the fee was solid throughout the whole three years that we had it and that's what made it so great.
The driver, who’s a gentleman, was confirming back with us on all the details. The only thing I was a little concerned about was that in the new house, there’s an incline on the driveway and the pod will be left there overnight. The gentleman placed the pod perfectly on the driveway, making it nice and sturdy. The entrance was on the top of the pod facing the house, so that way if anything shifted it would just be opening up the pod and taking things out like that. I would recommend PODS.

I’ve seen PODS around. When my church had an emergency, we had to use their containers and PODS gave us good service. This time, I was moving to a two-bedroom place. I booked them online and the process was good and easy. Also, my questions had been answered before I could even ask them. I requested for a small container from them and it was just the right size. I still had a lot of space in the container. All three drivers whom I have interacted with were super employees. They were nice guys and they knew their stuff. They also took care of everything and didn’t do any damage to my things. I was pleased with them.
I’ve also received a text message and a call from PODS' customer service. They wanted to make sure that I was satisfied with their service and that the timing was right in getting the job done. I experienced superior service from PODS and I recommend them. Everything about them was great. The container I requested was the middle one but the date I needed was booked for that size, but he kept in touch with me once I'm available. PODS packed my stuff up in Schaumburg, Illinois. Then I hired moving staffers to load it. It came out to Portland and was in the storage unit in Tigard until I found a place. Since I was going so far away, I felt that using PODS would be the easiest for me. My experience with them has been phenomenal. I didn't mean to have the light bulb packed but they came in and packed it up and there wasn't a light bulb that was broken. The drivers were also very nice, on both ends. The customer service also called. They asked how were the moving staffers and how was my move.
However, I had issues. The homeowner's association on both ends were horrid. The person from the place I moved from, every time I changed the date, made me do an architectural drawing of where the pod would be and it's always in the driveway in the middle. They wanted high wood underneath the pod. They're so afraid that the driveway is going to get damaged. I called back the customer service of PODS and they told me it's automatically there under each leg and PODS provided a certificate of insurance. And that should be fine.
And here, they fined me $100 a day for the pod. They have detached garages and there's no driveway. They have to put the container in the guest spot in order to unload it so I'm really ticked. But under the circumstances, not knowing where I was going to end up, PODS is the best option there. If I have my own home and I park it in my driveway, I can leave it there as long as I want and pack it at my leisure. But for these homeowner's associations, it's really not that great. Not with any fault of the POD at all.

Granted, I needed the POD on a narrow South Philly street location. However, most all streets in South Philly are narrow. Home movers and other delivery trucks who do business in the area are familiar with the challenges and have found methods to make their business work despite the tight working conditions. But not PODS. So, after taking the day to wait for delivery, the driver stopped at the intersection of my block, walked down to where I was waiting and announced "I'm not coming down this street!", turned and left. Got on the phone with U-HAUL who provide a similar service and they assured me that they're familiar with the neighborhood and would be only too glad to have my business. Done.

I did some research after someone mentioned PODS to me, and I liked their attitude in the way they presented their company. I booked their 16 foot pod online and their website is nicely laid out and was very easy to follow. I then had them deliver a pod to my place, store it for seven weeks and then bring it out. The guy who delivered the pod to our original address was very cool. The guys who loaded the pod were also great but they were not as good at laying things out as they could have been. If my things have been laid out a little differently they could have fit everything in there. Also, they didn't come and pick the pod up on the day that we had arranged. A neighbor had to call them to be here. Then she called me back and told me that PODS came out that day and took the pod back. But overall, my experience with PODS was convenient and easy. We had something in our house that needed to be stored and we don’t want to move it twice, so we went online to book a 16” container at PODS. We wanted it to be picked up on a Sunday, but because of a glitch, it was pushed back to a Monday. When we booked online, it was letting us pick a Sunday, but it turned out you’re not supposed to be able to do that. And it's the same thing for when we were having it picked up for the final time. I saw one of my neighbors used PODS and I looked online for their number and then I gave them a call. We got 16-foot pods dropped off for some storage for us at our site. We got as many as we could have on-hand and we got about 16 of them. The drivers were really good and very helpful. We were relocating cross-country and chose PODS’ service after considering their reputation and the price. Their price was cheaper per square foot on the container, and the container was a little bit larger than the others. That's really what we needed. The size of the container was very important. I booked it over the phone and the representative who spoke with was very professional and helpful. The container was very clean and solid. It’s better structurally than I actually thought they were. They had it sit upright. Every four feet, they had vertical support rails with tie down straps in them spaced two feet apart. So it made it very convenient, easy for strapping things down and securing stuff once it was inside. And though I had minimal interaction with the drivers, they were very professional.
The only issue was that I didn’t realize when I requested the pickup date when they're going to come and get it from me, I figured they'd call when they'd come the next day. I didn’t realize it was a five-day wait where we were because of the volume. So that pushed back the time that we were going to have it delivered here in Arizona. Nevertheless, I've recommended PODS to a neighbor who's in the same boat. They're going to be moving from the east coast to here. They saw the pod and were asking me a bunch of questions. I said, “Absolutely. I would highly recommend and use them again.”

I would always do the moving myself but I had PODS this time because it was there right in my driveway. I can go out the house into the pod, up on the truck, down from the truck, into the storage unit. Then I go back to the house and get more of the stuff in. Some people pay a really expensive big moving truck and pay each guy, the truck, and the distance. The pod was the average of the storage unit but less work. I moved apartments before with U-Haul van but now, I had a whole house. I called up PODS and the reps were very friendly. It’s unbelievable with customer service, the way they’d speak to me on the phone, so I ordered three largest size containers for the whole house.
Those PODS guys were excellent. Every time they came, I’d tip them because I was also happy with them and they were professional. The first guy was very particular about where I wanted the container. I had three different guys who came and they were all on top of their game like how I wanted it. They put the container on concrete, right my driveway. My sister is moving and I told her to get some PODS and that the trucking company would move me ten times as much than PODS. To lift the pod on a truck, take it off back and forth, drive it and gas it, was still cheaper than having to pay them to go in the house and bring in the pod. I was paying for the time and all the muscle I would have needed. All I’d do is pack and say what goes where.
I’ve had the most fantastic experience when moving with PODS and moving is a tough job. The most important that you're supposed to tie down is the front. I did everything also from the back on each layer, but I didn't tie the front and then the furniture shifted so when I went to pull up, the door wouldn't go up. The driver would not leave till that door came up and I was ready to get my stuff out so it was great. I love PODS. I was extremely satisfied and I wouldn't do any other way now that I had this experience.

We rented one of PODS’ containers to be on campus with us for about two months. There's convenience in using this company. Their customer service was good, too, as they were able to help us quickly. We booked over the phone and the rep was able to locate a pod even though they were running short. The rep made a few phone calls and gave me a call back to say that she had found one for us. We were given a 16-foot pod which fit our things. The driver was friendly as well. He was able to set the container up where we needed it. He came and left rather quickly. I have used PODS twice and both times have been exceptionally great. I called in both times and the reps were very efficient and they got the information. The drivers always called us right before they were going to be there and they were always on time. They brought the pod and left it, and gave enough time for us to get things accomplished. And they put it exactly where we needed it both times. One was at my house and the other one was at my daughter’s. We need storage potentially for long term. We’re going to have to divide our storage up into two different units. One for our temporary housing and then one once we buy our new house. I got the pricing information online which I appreciated and then booked the container on the phone. As a Delta employee we have a discount and they required me to call in to get the discount.
There were two POD drivers who dropped off the pods. I texted them on the phone as I was at work that day. And then when they came for pick up they were really helpful. Two of the pods were ready right away first thing in the morning and they grabbed those. And then one of the drivers said he would be coming back later on to get the last pod and I asked him to wait as late as he could and he did a great job. He gave me all afternoon to finish packing out and then he came and picked it up.
We got three 16 footers. It was still a little tight but it was what we needed. The containers were in good shape. With two of the pods the doors open really, really easy but with one of them the door was a little difficult to open and close but it wasn’t a big deal. Everything else was great and hopefully once we get the final two pods and our stuff everything will be good.

I had a niece who had used PODS and she said it was convenient because you can move your things in at your own pace. If I compared other ways to move, it wasn't the least expensive but for me, it wasn't about that. I did the booking online and they delivered a pod to store in my driveway so I could pack it for moving to another location. And then, they picked it up and moved it to a location I needed.
The guy who dropped off the container was great and then the guy who picked it up said the way we had it positioned was opposite. I would want it clearly to butt up to the garage at the second location and he pointed that out because otherwise, I wouldn't have known. And then, we asked if he could turn his truck around to pick it up so that it would be correct and he accommodated us. It could've potentially been an issue, but they resolved it and let us know. Everything went exactly as planned in terms of timing as well. There was a lot of communication about the day of the move and on the day before the move, they did a lot in terms of keeping me up-to-date with the timeline so that was good. It was a favorable experience overall and I would recommend them.

I had used PODS once before and I was happy with their service and efficiency. I needed them for a long-term storage. They picked up the container and stored it for about two and a half years. The other container was in another state for a year when we’re in the process of moving and then rebuilding. I had a project that was a little complicated because I wanted the drop off and pick up done the same day. But their reps were courteous and professional. They answered any question that I had.
I requested the small and then the medium container, which were sturdy and clean. However, it was strange that the container we stored for two and a half years had a black film on them, even though it’s sealed and locked. A lot of the boxes had them. Obviously, a lot of air is going in, so you’re getting a lot of residue in the warehouse. Most of the boxes were pretty bad. The driver who picked up and dropped off the container I had stored for eight months was excellent, though. He was also the one who dropped off the container I had for two and a half years. I would definitely recommend PODS.

I liked that PODS had a climate control facility to store containers. Their rep on the phone was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I requested the size 16 container. It was packed to the gills and worked out perfectly. The drivers were also good when they picked it up. However, I had an issue when they couldn’t find our address via GPS since we were in a brand-new community. But I was able to tell them how to get in when they called and they were great about it. PODS was very easy to work with and I'd recommend them to people.

I needed to move and store some stuff for an extended period of time and PODS was the most affordable. I got the 16-footer container and the driver who picked it up was reasonably careful. There was minimal damage on my yard, but it's a tight urban lot. They took a pretty good attempt to not do any damage, so it was not bad overall. Working with PODS was easy, convenient and just exactly what I needed.

We had to move quickly and when I called PODS, they were available and they were going to do it quicker. I spoke with a rep who was professional and she was able to get my times and my dates that I needed matched up perfectly. I got three 16-foot containers and they were clean and sturdy. I was going to get two but I'm glad that I took the rep's advice. He said that it was better half empty than not enough and he was right. They were very helpful and the drivers were wonderful and on time as well. PODS stored my stuff for two weeks and then they delivered them. Everybody was great and they worked in a pinch.

I reached out to PODS when I needed their services for moving and storage, and I booked a pod unit by phone. Everyone I dealt with at PODS was professional and respectful. I got the biggest sized container they had and I was surprised how much fit into it, and I was happy. I was impressed to see what the driver did when he dropped it off initially. I had read about the pod ahead of time and the unit they delivered seemed to be good, and I had no issues with it whatsoever. PODS' service was very smooth and I was pleased.

Even though all didn't go as planned with my move, in the end PODS did their best to make it right. I received a phone call from a very nice woman in marketing at pods unexpectedly shortly after our move was complete and listened to my entire story. She was extremely understanding and apologized for all that happened, she even corrected the final billing issue, which was both a surprise and a huge relief. I think equipping their floor agents with a little more insight on how charges can change would be helpful, and she seemed receptive to that.

When planning our cross country move we thought PODS would be convenient since we did not have any idea of what the timing would be on the buying and selling of our home. Not only did they recommend containers well below the space we would actually need, I called no less than three times because I was charged an amount different than my quote. There is no transparency, so they will tell you, it's based on mileage, but they never give you a cost breakdown at any point, even when you are asking for a mileage explanation.
Further, I scheduled my delivery to my new home and hired movers for the following day. Two days before they have no idea if my second POD will even be delivered on my delivery day, meaning I will be out the minimum charge for my movers AND my husband and I will be left to unload the POD. Save yourself the headache and go with a moving company. It won't cost you that much more and you know you won't be wasting money on services you can't use.

Good reviews and name recognition were the reasons I booked a 16-foot container over the phone with PODS. The reps I talked to were fabulous and flexible when I needed to change things or had any questions. They also have a number I could call for customer service and it's easy to get a hold of them. The driver who delivered the pod to my house in Minnesota was very accommodating. He went out of his way to fit it into my driveway, in a really skinny spot. PODS has this great little wheel thing that they use, so they don't have to drive their truck in and they can fit the pod in some great spots.
They left the container for a few days and I loaded it up, then they shipped it to Florida and put it in a storage facility that I had access to whenever I needed it. The people that worked at the warehouse were very accommodating too. I could call them and they would bring my pod out so I could get around and get stuff out. Two months later, I had the pod delivered to the new house I bought and the driver who did that also did a great job. Overall, both drivers were very nice and helpful people. I would highly recommend PODS. They are not the cheapest, but I had a completely great experience with them.

PODS were less expensive than an actual moving company like United Van Lines or one of those. Those moving guys wanted to come in and get everything done in a hurry. We had flexibility in our schedule with PODS such that we could load it up ourselves, which took us two weeks. It seemed to fit our schedule better. I told PODS what dates I needed, where I was going and they made all the arrangements.
They screwed up and tried to deliver a month ahead of time but when they acknowledged that they had done the wrong thing, they were able to correct it straight away. I then altered a couple of other dates. The best part of the experience was in dealing with their customer service team. I can reach them on the phone and they're very polite. They seemed to have all the information to talk intelligently and solve the problem right at their fingertips. I got to talk to my manager and was just on hold for a minute. Before I can completely verbalize my request, they seemed to understand and be able to solve the problem.
I originally requested two containers, a 16-footer, and a 7-footer. After I started loading the 16-footer, I canceled the 7-footer because I wasn’t going to need it. By the time I finished loading the 16-footer it became apparent that it wasn’t going to be enough, so I reinstated the order for the 7-footer and they were able to make all that happen without any drama. Also, the containers were very clean and sturdy. Also, their drivers were prompt. They gave me a window and they hit close to that window. One of them gets stuck in San Francisco traffic and he’s an hour late but that was understandable. The only thing that I was not aware of that presented a small problem was I needed to go to the storage facility here in Conway, South Carolina and access the POD while it was awaiting delivery. It was scheduled to come out here on a Monday and I went over there on a Saturday and tried to get into it and made arrangements and they had it sitting right there.
Apparently, when in transit going from California to South Carolina, the load shifted to the back of the POD and I wasn’t able to get the rear door up because everything had shifted against it. One of the employees observed my difficulty, turned over in a forklift, stuck the fork under the door and popped it up for me. That would be the only recommendation that could potentially be made to any future renter. Be careful what you put in the very back of the POD because it's going to be pressed against the door pretty good. You may want to put something that’s more flexible than a big old piece of furniture like I did. Overall, I had a very positive experience with PODS and I would use them again.

I’m definitely gonna use PODS again. They were very efficient and timely. Their reps were very professional and they answered my questions. It was a fine experience overall with them. Booking online was good. It was nice to log in and see my bill and my pick up and drop off dates, etc. The container was clean and it arrived with no dents on it. And all my stuff was intact. The driver was great, too. I had a tree I had to push out of the way with a broom at the branches so they didn’t break them off. He waited and was patient. He was very accommodating.

I was moving to a new house, so I needed a moving and storage company. We’ve used PODS in the past, so I booked them over the phone, and the representatives I’ve spoken to were great. I got a size-16, which was the biggest they had, and it worked for my moving and storage needs. They dropped it off in June and then delivered it to our new house in August. The driver who picked up the container was great. PODS is simple and efficient. I really like them. They’re great, and I’ve recommended them.

We used PODS for a short-term storage. We moved and then 10 days later, they delivered our things. PODS had a good brand name and it felt like it would be worth using the importer. They were a good price point as well. I initially booked them online, and then someone called me and we went over the order. The online booking was easy as the site was user friendly, however the pricing in the website was all over the place. The call was super helpful because the rep clarified the service and the pricing. There was one adjustment we made too. Unfortunately, PODS set up an expectation that was unrealistic with the furniture pads, as well as that the driver would take all my concerns.
My understanding was PODS were going to lease me three dozen furniture pads to cover furniture with wood, but those didn’t come. It was a great inconvenience and that impacted the move pretty significantly. I contacted them about it but I wasn’t able to get a hold of anybody. Two pods were brought in my house and were delivered fine and setting them up was relatively simple. I live right off of the street, so it couldn’t been any easier to set the containers down. They were set in a good enough place, although I wasn’t consulted about that. The driver who came was a very inexperienced young kid who didn’t care if my stuff got broken or not. He’s not a very customer-focused person too. Also, there were cigarette butts all over the place. PODS overpromised and underdelivered.

Tried to call PODS today to discuss moving one of our units to another city and the recording said they were experiencing phone problems and were not able to accept calls at this time due to Irma. While I certainly understand the situation in Florida due to the hurricane, I think it is inexcusable a company the size of PODS does not have a DR plan that allows for calls to be routed to another location. Very poor planning on their part.

I moved from California to Wisconsin and I used two of the 8 x 16 containers from PODS. I was willing to do the loading, they were close by and their price was always right so I chose them over other companies. I did PODS online but I didn't use the chat option and right after having went online, someone called me right away. I also had to do some changes. I ordered a floor unit and decided to change it to another unit. It all worked out and their reps were very efficient. The drivers were all very professional and very responsive, too. They knew how to do what they were doing. Their customer service reps also called to make sure everything's fine and I said yes.
I would do it again with PODS because the cost was right. I'm 50 years old almost, so it was kind of hard. But it was great and worth it. With the moving companies I used before, I have found many broken things but with PODS, I didn't have one broken anything. Their pods are safer than they look because once you see a pod being delivered and you see how they load it on a truck, they can't possibly damage your goods unless the truck was to roll over or where ever they put it on the train. The goods inside are as good as you packed them. Overall, they did what they said they were going to do and that's what was important.

I initially booked the services of PODS online but they had a down on their system so I had to call in to finish it. The customer service reps were great. I needed to move my stuff in my own time and not the mover's time. I got two of their biggest storage boxes however, they still weren't enough. They need one size bigger than that. But other than that, the process was easy and smooth, and I enjoyed the experience.
