    Both of the drivers were very professional, and knew how to do what they did. They were awesome. The professionalism of the drivers and also that contraption that they used to move the POD was a blessing. The contraption picks up the pod off the truck and sets it down and it is such a wonderful thing. My neighbor was moving at the same time, and he ended up getting a pod from the PACK-RAT, and they didn't have that Spider. So they had to put his in at an angle on top of the grass at this condominium. He had to get approval to put it in. Where PODS came in, the communication was great as far as making sure that the parking space next to it so that you can make sure that it get in.

    When it was time to schedule the delivery of our POD back to our house to unload, I called two days before the scheduled date and asked if I could request a delivery time before 1:00 pm, as I was hiring people to unload and carry our items into the house. I was told yes by customer service, and was even sent an email confirmation on a modification to my account. At no time was I told they couldn't honor a scheduled window request.

    Then the day before the delivery date I received an email letting me know my delivery window was 1-4 pm, although the automatic answering computer said my window was 2:30 - 5:30. When I first called, they acknowledged I had called on Wednesday but said they couldn't change my delivery time of 2:35 despite my documented request. I then called back and had to spend over an hour on the phone, insist they speak to the facilities manager, and was only able to get them to move up my window to 1:52 (and of course the driver was late so the POD didn't come until 2:15 and then the POD was facing the wrong direction on the truck despite the correct directions on their form). This is despite living only 30 minutes from the storage facility.

    We paid thousands of dollars to this company. If I had known they couldn't honor a delivery window request I would have made other arrangements for the unloading but I believed them when they said they could. And simply can't believe they wouldn't fix their own documented error. My mistake. In the end it was after 2:30 before the POD was finally in our driveway. I definitely won't use them again and strongly urge you to stay away unless you have maximum flexibility and can just cater to their actual schedule regardless of what they say.

    Booking online was super easy and I was kept well-informed. I got the 18x8x8 container and it was in good condition. The driver was awesome. They were very good at using the Quadzilla, putting it where we needed. They didn't rock it around. It was the same guy who delivered and picked it up in PA. But both drivers were awesome. Everything worked out well and I would use PODS again. It's very affordable. Within the market, it's one of the cheaper options and very user-friendly.

    All the drivers were very good. There was one woman in Connecticut who was really exceptional. If this is something you think you can do, then you should investigate it. My wife and I thought we could do a pod. It did not turn out to be appreciably cheaper than the shipping. But we had a lot more control over it because we could do it in stages. My wife says that if we could make one suggestion to the people at PODS, they should have a lot more tiedown's. Inside of the containers, there are little tie-down clips so you can tie down some of your property and there should be more tie-downs available so that you can keep the stuff from moving forward. Also, when you close the door, if all the stuff shifts, it shifts against the door and it's almost impossible to get open. So they should have plenty of tie-downs or some mechanism that, just before you shut the door, you could tie everything down so it cannot rest against the door.

    I got the largest container that PODS had and I moved it across the country and it was an easy move. We needed it at a certain time in Michigan and it arrived and we loaded the thing, and then the next thing we knew, it was in Chandler, Arizona, and we left it in storage for three years. We only went down there a couple of times to get some things or put some of our things in the unit, and that was an easy task. But I didn't like the cost at all. I didn't really like the $300 a month that I was paying for storage. It wasn't the cheapest thing around, but, it was less expensive than hiring a mover to move across country. But overall, I'm pleased with them. This was, by far, the most reasonable and convenient thing we could do. I'd use them again.

    I'd recommend PODS. This is the third time I've used their service and for the most part, everything was fine. During the pickup, the driver was very personable. We had a pleasant chat. However, the pod's door was sticky and the latch was difficult to maneuver. I'm in a wheelchair so I can't get the leverage one would need to do certain things. Instead of it sliding easily, I had to exert a lot of effort.

    PODS is easy to deal with. I called them and spoke to a gentleman. He set me up and priced everything out. Once I got the okay to close, I called back and spoke to another gentleman. He brought up my file and got the account going. He walked me through the website and made sure I was in and changing things. He also made sure I had moving blankets, bubble wraps, cardboards, and extra locks. It was easy to get through everything, using the online prompts. The pod was clean, very well put together and maintained. I was more worried about my personal belongings getting the pod dirty than the pod causing any damage. Logistically, PODS was the best route to go. I could store things, move things, and get it dropped back off. There was no deadline. It was cheap and convenient to keep the unit for month to month. Everybody was great especially the drivers. They suggested better places to put the pod for long-term positioning at the new property.

    PODS' customer service was outstanding. The assistant manager, Rich, was extremely helpful. There were a couple of things that happened and he stepped up. After the pod had been at the house, they moved it to their storage facility in Wethersfield. They loaded it even further afterwards. They would bring it out and I could put more things in it. The driver who did the pickup at the place in Connecticut was very helpful as well. The driver down in Tennessee had to wiggle things a little bit. The driveway was dirt with a little bit of gravel. He positioned the pods that it was right next to the garage entrance where I could move everything right into the house. The cost was expensive, but it was worth it. I could have done it cheaper a different way but the convenience more than made up for it.

    Both the move out & into their residence went great. Each time the driver was very helpful. The only hiccup was the folks we spoke with on the phone to set up the return of their items were not on the same page with the company itself. They were unaware of the new rules in place dealing with dropping off the pod. Wasn't a big set back, we didn't get overcharged because the computer recognized the mistake. All this was explained by the driver.

    Where do I begin? From beginning to end it was a nightmare. We the very beginning we were speaking to people living in other countries who could barely speak English. They somehow had opened several accounts for the same move. They had the wrong passcode and the wrong security word because of the language barrier. They misquoted us on several occasions and we ended up being charged more than the original quote! We scheduled a delivery and it was never entered into their computer and when we called to find out why we had not received a confirmation call they replied it was never entered in. I will NEVER use them again and do NOT recommend to anyone.

    I have used Pods twice. The first time I was moving across town in 2004 and PODS were a brand new option. The second was this year moving across the country. They hold so much stuff it amazed me both times. One of the best things about renting a POD is that I didn’t have to drive a 28 foot truck, towing my car, this time. Also, my schedule always seems to have glitches when I’m moving and they were extremely flexible about the drop off, pick up, and delivery schedule.     I was moving my family from SoCal to San Francisco and everything was going great until I found out some major issues. At no point was this communicated to me as a possibility, but after the pods were delivered and picked up to move to San Francisco, I received a phone call from the city about our permit for delivery being denied. This error COST ME aound $4,000 DOLLARS I did not budget for. I had 2 pods, and each pod had to be dropped off with a $1,500 fee and a 4 hour window. The driver just sat in the truck while I unloaded. I had to pay a task rabbit to help remove the items, because there was too much for one person to do in a 4 hour window. After everything, It was $3,000 more just for delivery, plus almost $1,000 for the movers to help me load everything in. How can something like this not be communicated while booking the pod that there may be additional fees? How was I supposed to know this.

    We had a good experience and partnership with PODs using the first 2 PODs in February. But the experience with the 3rd and final POD was a very different and frustrating experience. We scheduled for the POD to be delivered Monday April 22. All other times the delivery and pickup occurred between 8 and 12:00 in the morning so we were expecting the same time. Long story short the POD did not arrive at our house until after 7:00 PM! And already getting dark outside. Upon looking at the inside of the POD we discovered it had NO hooks to attach our tie downs to in order to keep our stuff. So now we had to wait until the next morning for me to go buy my own hooks to install in your POD.

    We called customer service and asked for a refund to cover the hardware I had to buy and time we lost by such a late delivery on Monday and having to spent time on Tuesday getting it suitable to pack. We were rejected from any service or reimbursement and said they could submit our complaints to corporate office but it will take 5 business days to get a response. That is unacceptable!!!

    The next morning we received an email from customer service that their representative did nothing wrong and they are closing our request. So nothing was done to satisfy us as an upset customer and we were still charged full price for the delivery, transportation and pickup for this defective POD. Needless to say we will not use PODs again nor will we recommend anyone else to use PODs. It did not have to be handled this way!

    PODS was there when I needed them after Hurricane Ian and set up was easy. However, after a leak in the room destroyed many of my possessions it was VERY hard to contact them regarding the claim. Contacting a living person is nearly impossible. I had to act like I was setting up a new POD to speak with a living person. Their 3 contact numbers are a hamster wheel of options! They claimed that turned down insurance on the POD but could not provide proof and only paid me 1/4 of the value of my possessions.

    I had a very positive experience using PODS. I was hesitant to use such a large company to transport my items such a long distance, I typically use U-Haul and do things myself, but every step of the process with PODS was smooth, professional, and transparent. The first rep I spoke to to get a quote was friendly and knowledgeable. It was really easy to create an online account to track my invoices and order history. The scheduled drop-offs and pick-ups were always on time. I was very impressed with each of the drivers calling to ask questions in regards to location of the drop-offs as well and providing their estimated arrival times.

    As someone who appreciates clear communication and transparency, the reminder texts/emails and service window timeframes that came via email the evening before a service were great. None of my items were damaged in the move either. A few shifts in the boxes, etc. but that is to be expected. I did not think I would be leaving such a positive review but it really was a great process and I would definitely use PODS again.

    All three of the PODS reps were great. They helped me out and allowed me to understand everything and how it works. I didn't know the dates and they explained it to me. They give you the date they pick up and what day the pod arrives. They also gave me great military discount. They had the least price that I received. The people who dropped off and delivered gave me the time and told me when they were coming. One guy was coming early and asked me if he could. I was very pleased with them. I still have stuff in New York and might need them again. My cousin did her move three weeks ago from Jersey to Florida. I told her to get PODS and she went for it.

    I had $1400 worth of damage and PODS or Pack & Load who they recommended don’t want to know anything. The $10000 insurance that you say you have is worthless. The packers did a poor job of securing some items and piled heavy items on top of boxes marked fragile. And they claim no responsibility. Total farce. I would not use them again.

    This was a horrible experience. They delivered a POD that was in poor condition. It leaked, had numerous patching jobs with tape and staples. In addition it had pungent moth ball smell that cannot be removed. It was not in a condition to be used for storage or shipping without risk of permanent damage to your items. There is clearly no quality control review on the boxes they ship out to be used. PODS still wants to charge you for storage, insurance, etc even though the box is not in usable condition. Their customer service is outsourced and difficult to get issues resolved. You can do better with other companies. I had used them in the past, but they have lost my business for good now.

    I have used this company for two periods of time while cleaning out and renovating an attached garage. My experience has been nothing short of excellent on both occasions. Their reps I spoke with via the telephone were polite, professional and even made sure I was getting accurate pricing in comparison with the advertised pricing online. Date of delivery, pick-up were always confirmed as was the ability to add an extra month (which I had to do the first time I needed a pod). My only complaint is that we can only get extra time via a full 4-week period and not weekly as that was all I needed the second time, but did not request that time. Also the pricing is a bit higher than your competition, but I can count on clean containers and respect for my driveway when I use your service. Overall i rank them a 9/10 start, only because of the aforementioned issues.

    We moved from Southern California to Florida and used PODS' rental service of the pod from June to the 1st of January. They have one of the nicer units out there from what competition was. Initially, I inquired by phone then PODS sent me an email following up on my conversation and what the price would be. When I was ready to do it, I called and spoke to a gentleman. I told the gentleman that delivered the pod where I wanted it. The control they have is amazing. It's very well set up to do it correctly.

    When the guy came to deliver it at my residence where we moved to, he was a little concerned because we didn't have a deep driveway and we'd be encroaching on the sidewalks. He told me I might get a letter from the city charging me for it. But I wasn't worried about it. Everybody that I spoke to from PODS was extremely nice and very professional. I would rent from them again. It would be nice though if they would say, "You get the first 30 days at this price. If you rent it beyond three months, it goes to this price." We spent a lot of money for seven months. It was $8,500.

    Generally speaking, my PODS experience was pretty easy. They are not the cheapest game in town, but they worked for what I needed. The problem I have is with extra charges. I was told that I could have my PODS moved across the street (I was buying the house across the street and needed to be able to move the PODS after closing) for no charge. At least two more times I asked to confirm that information was true on subsequent calls. When the time came to actually schedule to have it moved (40 feet across the street) they said it would cost me $350. The best they could do was talk to the supervisor to see if they could give me a discount.

    I wanted to make sure that everything we had that got from point A to point B would be protected along the way. And I felt confident with PODS. We see the pods throughout the neighborhood, so I was able to physically see the pods. My pod was the right size. It was clean when it arrived, when we started loading it up, and when it arrived to point B. What was very nice was we made sure that we got the best movers to load the pod. If it was up to me to load the pod, who knows how everything would have arrived? But those guys were such pros.

    You gotta pack the thing right because PODS is not responsible after everything is loaded. I had to make sure that everything was loaded properly and professionally so that when it got to point B from point A, everything would arrive just the way that it was loaded. And that was the way it was. PODS was very good in how they transported everything. They were very good on how they loaded it. They got a happy camper here. Use them.

    PODS delivered everything that they promised they would and on time. It was an easier way to get proper information from them. Most companies wanted to know when the move was which I didn't know. I had called U-Pack, and this was when we weren't even ready to move. They couldn't give me a price until I gave them a date. PODS was able to give me a price without a date. They gave me ballpark numbers, so I knew what my budget was, and they stayed within those numbers. We got their largest pod and it could have been bigger, but we made it work.     I had to rent a couple of pods and store them at their facility in Greensboro for a little while before we moved. I booked with PODS online for the first pod and when I needed a second pod, I booked the second one on the phone. I got a large pod at first and it turned out that I had more stuff than I thought, so I needed to add a medium size pod. But PODS don't do a large and a medium because of moving them from one city to the other because of their way they transport them. They just had to do a large and a small to make one move on one truck. So, I had to get a small one and all my stuff would not fit on that small pod. Then I ended up having to rent a little U-Haul truck for the odds and ends I had left over. When we moved, they had everything there like we had scheduled.

    But I misunderstood some things along the way and it ended up costing me somewhere around almost $4000. I know there was a charge to deliver and pick the pods up, then a transportation cost to move them from one city to the other, and another charge to deliver them from the storage to our house. I understood all that and I knew there were going to be charges, but I didn't quite get the picture that they were going to be that much. I called them when I saw how much my bill had run up and at one point, they said they were going to give me a $300 reduction in my charges, but I never saw that $300 deducted. As far as the PODS people online, their reps were very specific, nice, and helpful. The pods were clean and good. The drivers who picked them up were excellent, too. Aside from that, their website was really easy to use because there was a time I had to switch the delivery and the pick-up date, and I did it online and it was very simple. Then they emailed me with the changes.

    The pick up and delivery of the Pod was great, the condition of the Pod was not. After the driver left I tried to open the door and it would only open half way, it was getting jammed. I found that the latch was severely bent it was preventing the door from opening. I bent the hatch some and opened the door. The latch had been bent so much it would not closer enough to lock the pod. I got it straight enough to be able to tap it closed so I could lock it up at night. Will probably look for another company next month for our next renovation project.

    It was confusing how big the pods were. It was said that it could fit three rooms, but it clearly could not. I needed a bigger pod but I don't think PODS has something bigger. Also, I couldn't use them for storage as long as I planned to. The pod was supposed to be stored in my yard but it had rained a couple of days and the truck couldn't get it. It was sinking down into the ground and messed up my yard a little bit. Somebody had to come, dig and tow the truck out.

    They put the pod on the street then right in December, the police were concerned that if it snowed, people could have a car accident. The police made us move it and it was a lot. PODS moved it on the day they said they were gonna move it and we had to end up using actual storage units. But we wanted PODS because everything could stay right there at the house, and if we needed something, we could just go in. Now everything is in different units. Also it's a lot more expensive with the actual storage units. PODS was under 3, and these units are over 5.

    My experience was so easy. It was unbelievable. We're getting ready to move and we did our garage floor so we had to take everything out. The delivery was seamless and the driver could not have been nicer. I was kind of panicked about it because the pod is a big structure that's gonna be on our property, but it was unobtrusive.     The driver that delivered the pod was very helpful and respectful of the property. He placed the pod where we asked him to, and we were able to use it for about a month and a half, while we were getting the interior of our garage done. When PODS sent the team out to collect the thing, it was a very quick inspection and there was no damage. The guy brought his equipment in, and it was very interesting to walk him in with the rig and how he lifted the thing and then brought back upon the truck. Again, he was a very friendly guy.     My house had gotten flooded by somebody so I needed to get whatever I can save out of my house, and PODS brought me what I asked for. The reps did what they had to do because I was not in the right place. The container they brought was able to hold two bedrooms. It was enough for me. I could put mattresses. I could have put a refrigerator if I needed to. So, it had enough room for me to put things in there. The only thing is they should have had a lock on it. You had to buy your own lock to lock down, but the box was clean.

    Scheduling was okay. We were moving from San Francisco. There were some issues with scheduling. The person I scheduled with didn't understand that there were limitations in San Francisco proper for permitting. I didn't find out until the guy at the warehouse happened to look and called me. On the last day, I could get a permit. We got it sorted out. But because we did that, the timing was all off for when they came versus when the movers came.     I had my unit stored, and then when I was ready to have it shipped to me, PODS delivered it to the address that was in another state. The biggest hiccup I had with acquiring the initial unit was that whoever took my initial order falsified information about my timeframe for cancellation, and then I was charged a cancellation fee. And they already had my credit card on file. But what ended up happening was I couldn't have the pod unit delivered to the location that I was moving to because it was a historic district and they wouldn't allow those types of items on the street. So, I had to cancel. And when I called back to cancel, they told me that I was outside of the window. I said, "No, that's not what I was advised in the contract." She said, "Oh, no, you can cancel within three days because you're traveling interstate." So, I tried to call back and cancel and reschedule and figure out something different.

    What ended up happening is I ended up talking to someone who I gave them the full information and they took into consideration that it was not of my doing that I had to cancel the appointment but I had to figure out a new transportation timeframe. So, I ended up still completing the order and booking with them. I had to find a timeframe in which I could have it delivered. Everything worked out, though. So, after the initial bad taste in my mouth, I was okay.

    I had a fine experience with PODS. They set it up and picked up my pods and then they delivered the pods. The whole experience was very well handled. They didn't have any problems. I didn't have to do anything. They dropped the pods off. I had my movers move all the furniture inside the pods and once I closed them, I called them and they picked the pods up. All the personnel I've dealt with over the phone or whoever dropped off the pods, were very cordial. It worked out well. As far as the price, you pay for what you get. Maybe I could have gotten somewhere else cheaper, but then I don't know where my stuff is at and what other cases may be.

    I had an amazing experience from beginning to end with PODS. They brought the pods when they said they were gonna bring them, and I loaded them, and they came and picked them up, and they stored them for us for three or four months. When I called and said I needed them, they came right out with them. I got all three at the same time. They were very easy to work with. Even the guys that they recommended to come and unload the pods for us were top-notch. I'd use those guys again. The guys who picked up the pods with the truck were great. The pick-up and the delivery were fabulous. The pick-up was down in Davenport, Florida, halfway between Tampa and Orlando, and the drop-off was in Tallahassee. They stored them up here in Tallahassee for us. I highly recommend them.

    There was a little confusion as to which way the door was supposed to go. The basement door is on the other side of the house and to have it open one direction would have meant an unbelievably challenging time to fill it. The driver had called ahead of time to let me know he was coming, give me his time frame and confirm the direction of the door opening. I'm glad he called. PODS delivered the pod very quickly which was essential ‘cause I needed to rip up soaking wet carpeting in my basement. The pick up was seamless. I had to rush to get my husband to hurry up and empty the pod so we didn't have to pay for the next month. I was able to set up the pick-up to that next day, which was perfect. When I called them though, it was glitchy to set everything up and pay it. It would have been better if that was seamless with the person I had originally called. But he called me right back, which was amazing.

    I was very happy with the entire experience working with PODS. I had a leak in the pipes in my kitchen wall. The water filled up inside the wall to approximately 5 feet. Then it started leaking out into my living room and I noticed the water. I had to have the wall removed. PODS worked with me on getting the PODS delivered. I had 2 a 16 foot and a 12 foot. One was delivered the 3 days after I ordered it. They also gave me companies they could recommend for labor assistants to help pack the PODS. It was a very smooth process. I arranged it all in one day. We filled the 16 foot POD and I called to have it taken to storage and they delivered the second POD (12 foot), the same day in the afternoon.     I used two PODS 16' Pods containers to store and move some of our items from our old house to our new house. I had to have the containers relocated at the new location to accommodate some new construction, and that went fairly well. When we were finally unload the containers, we found that a table leaf had fallen out and the top surface was damaged. I called the local PODS dealer, and they came and picked up the damaged item. When they returned it, there was still damage on the top surface. I returned it to PODS, and I've been unsuccessful in contacting John, the supervisor at the local facility. I'm disappointed that this matter remains unresolved.

    My home flooded, so I got a pod to temporarily hold some valuables. Schedule for the pod delivery change last minute by a few hours, and the pod came earlier. Because of the situation, pod could not be place where I wanted it. So instead of the back of the driveway where it's out of sight out of mind, now it's towards the road. Since the situation changed the driver could've asked if I wanted it in the same direction, since it's closer to the road. And when I called customer service, they said they couldn't do anything about. So they're sending a drive back out and I'm getting charged again.

    Poor handling of my account from beginning to end. Account was to be set as a long distance, the agent couldn’t find r resolve my new address and created my account as local. When it was time to relocate my unit, the agents, were not willing to schedule the relocation because they said there were no site to service my location. But there was one agent who was able to get my unit relocated at a discounted rated due to the run around I was getting. When I scheduled the relocated I got a different quote from the discounted quote. When I asked the agent to review the notes they saw the discounted rate, why don’t the agents read the notes before we get on the call? Wait there’s more.

    The unit arrive at Memphis, thank you Memphis, we get it scheduled I receive a quote and get charged something totally different the night before drop-off. I call to complain and the agent tells me that if I don’t like it then go to Memphis and get it myself. I file a complaint and was told everything was handled correctly. Lastly, when the driver who dropped off the unit comes back to pick it up, he damaged trees on the property. I call yet again to complain, the driver did file his incident, kudos to him, I asked for a refund, they hung up on me and charged my account login information.

    This is the worst moving company I have ever used in my life. I have moved several times for different jobs, and PODS has the worst communication and customer support I have ever seen in a company. When they dropped my POD off at the destination, they parked the POD in a different location than what we agreed upon. They put it in a public parking lot across the street from my apartment. I emptied my things within 2 hours because I was stressed out that it might get towed because it was not supposed to be there. I called as soon as I finished unloading and asked them to come pick it up (this was Tuesday). They told me the earliest they can get it is Thursday. I tried to tell them I don’t think it is supposed to be there and that they need to pick it up ASAP. They insisted the earliest they can get it is Thursday and that it “probably” won’t get towed.

    Sure enough, the POD got towed the next day (Wednesday). Now they are charging me $342 and saying I signed a waiver that assumes all charges that have to do with the POD. It is despicable, and I’ve tried calling and emailing a hundred people to discuss the situation. I either get re-routed back to the basic customer service line, or they tell me they don’t know enough about the situation to help me. NEVER use this company, they are snakes and the phone line employees are just there to protect the higher ups.

    I had a flooding in my basement and the water restoration service suggested PODS to store my furniture while they continue to work in the basement. I called PODS and the rep that I talked to was professional. She knew a lot. She was knowledgeable of the services she helped me. They put it down that I wanted to park the pod in front of the house. But when the man came, he told me that he couldn't put it down because it snowed that day. I was also told that the city probably wouldn't approve it. But it was inconvenient for me to have the pod parked in my driveway and they couldn't park it on the street. Due to that, my car was stolen.

    I was totally satisfied. The cost was reasonable and I always spoke to a human being when I wanted to. Otherwise, I could do everything else online easily. The first pod was a 16-foot which traveled across country. It was not any fault of PODS, but the people who I had pack it for me didn't do the best job packing it so I had several broken items. It also seemed it was very dirty in there but it was in storage for a couple of years. For the second pod, I also had that in storage for three years and had it moved to me locally.     PODS as a company did well with the move of my property, it arrived on time. I only had problem with two of the drivers, one delivered the pod facing the wrong direction, and even after I showed him it was wrong in the paperwork he refused to correct it and dropped it and left. The other driver hinted around for a tip for several minutes after the delivery and when he didn't get one, made a additional charge for an unpaved area, when the area clearly was on a paved driveway. PODs did refund the money for the unpaved nonsense when I showed them pictures, but it took time out of my day to get the refund. Overall PODS did well, but their employees leave a lot to be desired!

    JUST THE SIMPLE TRUTH! PODS was the first place I called when we were downsizing and moving an hour away. After using a company affiliated with them to load it due to my disability and move it to the new location where it was unloaded onsite by family we had the container about two weeks. There was an issue with getting it delivered to the new place at the time we needed it to be so it would be placed in the right location. It was just dropped at an inconvenient place which caused a major dispute. In addition all-in-all it cost us around $2,000 by PODS.

    The booking process with PODS was okay, but it was a little difficult getting through to them at times. We had to reach out to them when we needed to settle it up and have them deliver it finally. We were in storage for about 15 months. The 16 feet container we got met our needs. We stored household goods. We were having a house built and it wasn't gonna be ready for a while. Cost was a little high. We had to pay $375 a month to store it and it was $6,000 to move it. We paid them a fair sum of money. The driver was great both during pick up and delivery. They showed up when they said they were going to. They delivered on time. They put it where we needed it. The driver even made sure that we get the door open before he left.

    I had 3 containers delivered and picked up all on different days. I had an overall good experience with the quality of containers. They did drop a really old one off that was made of wood and just had screw in eye bolts for tie downs. After a phone call I was able to get it switched out for one of the steel and fiberglass ones. Minor inconvenience but ended well.

    Out of the 6 different drivers I had for drop-offs, half of them were really competent and friendly. The others, not so much. One trashed my yard. One had a fluid leak happening on the machine that moves the trailers. He got thick black sludge all over my shrubs that got all over my cars. Had to cut a bunch of branches off to get rid of it. One pair were just completely unable to manipulate the machine and ended up calling for help. Some of the attitudes of the delivery people weren’t great in comparison to the really good ones. Overall I’d use PODS again but I’d tell others to watch out for their property and don’t settle for a crappy old POD.

    I shopped online and then, I contacted a rep before I made the decision to rent with PODS. The folks at the other end of the phone were always very cordial and professional, and seemed to take care of whatever I needed whenever I contacted them. Overall, it was a little expensive but it was a very good experience. Out of the three units I rented, one was newer and a little bit nicer. The one that was a little older was okay. The one that was a half unit got compromised somewhere along the line but other than that, they held up well and everything inside remained intact. The drivers were very friendly. They called me in advance, answered any questions that I had and seemed very efficient and qualified of what they were doing. It's amazing the work that they do with those machines.

    I called PODS and told them that I was waiting to purchase a property before I had them delivered, and they delivered them in a timely fashion. The time out was just right for us because we were in no big hurry. They were delivered as scheduled and as efficiently as you could have it done. In every contact that I had, the folks were very professional, cordial and helpful throughout the entire process. I highly commend all the staff because I didn't have any bad contacts for the whole time, and it was over a year. It was smooth sailing. We packed everything ourselves and it was just a couple of things that were mispacked that broke. But overall, if 99% of your stuff comes through clean, that’s good.

    We incurred over $2100 in damages, using PODs and a recommended vendor, Pack and Load, and no one is taking accountability for the damages... Don't stand behind Pack and Load, because based on your evaluation packing and loading were the issues and they did a horrific job.     I was looking for a box-type thing to ship stuff cross country after my grandma died since we were taking some stuff out of her house. I found PODS online and I liked the size and rates of their pods. I also liked the long-term storage possibility. Booking with them was pretty easy. The agent that I worked with was helpful and friendly. I got the 16-foot pod and it was plenty big. We put more stuff than we needed to in it. The driver who picked it up was courteous and we had no problem with him. We ended up having it for almost a year and a half. We didn't have it at our place, but we had it in the storage facility. I got emails from them as monthly updates and I wish that it had been a little less expensive to store the pod. We autopaid via credit card and I thought the monthly rate was going to be 280, but it ended up being a little bit over $300.

    I had the POD delivered in November and had it till Feb. 6. It was a great experience and I would do it again if needed. They were here in time for both pick up and drop off, POD was clean and it was the best thing ever. It was a much better idea than renting a storage garage because I was able to put the furniture and whatever else out my front door and into the POD. I probably could have used a bigger size but we were able to arrange my furniture and boxes inside the POD.     PODS was wonderful. We sold our house and we had to be out in 30 days. So, I was in a major problem with where I was going to put all my items and how I was going to store them. When I did some research, I found out about PODS, the size of the pod, how they could deliver it to my house, they could put it in storage, and they would be more than glad to bring it to wherever I needed them to deliver it to. Their services were outstanding. I booked with them online and it was the easiest think I ever had to deal with in my life.

    We moved a lot of items into our garage and at the time, we weren't home, so I asked them to deliver the pod and put it in front of the garage door on the left and just give us enough room to get in and out. They put it exactly where we needed it and made it very easy for us as we were taking items out of our home that we were able to put in the pod. When we had the pod full, which took about three days, I went online and told them that it was ready to be picked up. The next thing I knew, it was gone. I looked at the pod carefully and it was in very good condition. In fact, it was a little bit better than what I expected, so I had no issues putting personal belongings in it. When it was delivered, my wife could not believe how helpful they were and how receptive the driver was. They were more than accommodating to place the pod where we needed to get it unloaded and we found that the items inside were just as we put them in five years ago.

    At one point, I had an issue with my credit card. The company canceled it and issued me a new one. I forgot to tell PODS about it and when I called them up after about three years, I gave them all the new information. I told them I was sorry for the delay in paying them because I knew I was a few days late. They took the information and they were extremely accommodating.

    We've used PODS in moving a whole bunch of stuff, and we used them again this time to move a small amount. The service was very good, everything was on time, and nothing was broken. I booked with them online and over the phone. The website was fairly easy to use and the representatives seemed to be very knowledgeable. Everything was made clear and I had no trouble with them.     When it came time for us to move from Tennessee back home to Texas and we did some comparison shopping, we found PODS was the most affordable and they were gonna be able to do what we wanted to do. They could hold our belongings until we had our house built and have it delivered. As far as the booking process, I just called them up on the phone, talked to them, and they did everything over the phone. I had tried to do it online, but there was an issue with the area where we were gonna be living, and the system wasn't showing that they were authorized to deliver there. So, I had to call and talk to somebody. There was a little bit of wait for somebody to get on the phone, but it was easy and they handled everything for me.

    I requested for the 16-footer pod. We had three sets of bedroom furniture, antiques, books, and household items. The pod was picked up in July of 2022 and we had it delivered to the property here in Texas the 12th of February. All we did was to get online and I scheduled the delivery and that was it. They came here in a timely manner, dropped it off where I wanted it, and they were gone. It took us less than a week to get it emptied because we were able to put everything in the garage, and they were able to come pick it up Monday. There was only one thing that broke and that was because it was already cracked. It was an old antique mirror. Everything else we had came out without a scratch. I'm a satisfied customer.

    It's not cheap - but it's cheaper than using a moving company and in today's living times it fits most people's moving requirements. I didn't want to bring a whole houseful of furniture: some was junk and some were pieces that I didn't have an emotional tie to. We got a small pod. It was delivered when they said it would be. We had the choice of loading ourselves or hiring workers to assist. PODS had a list of people we could use. They assisted tremendously.

    The POD was picked up the next day (this is negotiable) and it was delivered to me at a convenient time. No breakage as the assistant team were very good at tying down the articles. I did the unload myself because it was a flat area and the pod fit next to the garage. The POD was picked up the next day. It was all very efficient and the way PODS works is they give you prices and you design your moving experience. It was quite a pleasant experience. We started with another company because they were cheaper, but, after a week of planning it was apparent they didn't know what they were doing. Called PODS and everything was organized and arranged within 90 minutes. This is the only way to move. ONE THING: when you have your dates and time for them to drop off and pick up the pod - you will want to have your camera available. This is a awesome sight to behold and you will want a video of it to show your friends!!!!

    Really pleased with my PODS experience. They delivered on time and were quick to handle my request to extend the rental time. Will call on them again....no doubt.     We needed 2 of the large containers to get our move done. Every step of the way things ran smoothly with Pods. They called and emailed days before delivery/ pick up. Containers showed up on time and in good shape. One particle board cubbyhole thing got banged up but that’s a better percentage than pro movers we’ve used in the past. Would recommend to anyone moving long distance.

    I feel that I was overcharged, drop off and pickup charges when the POD was delivered. This was not explained when the POD was ordered. I was charged for storage, even though you only deliver once a week where we live. I felt that the customer service was good. The delivery drivers were kind and professional.

    What a great experience. Delivered on time, clean and in good condition. Delivery man explained process which was fascinating to watch. The storage space saved our sanity during a renovation of our 2nd floor. Easy to schedule pickup and couldn't be happier. Would use it again if need arises. It was during the snowy season and no leaks or damage to contents. No damage to our driveway. Did have to trim an overhanging tree but the pruning didn't take away from the shape. My delivery was on time and although the two pods were delayed because of maintenance issues I was informed and not charged for for the extra time.     PODS LIES. BEWARE. We subscribed to three storage containers from PODS, two large and one small. For over 22 months, we paid for their services for a total of over 18,000.00 dollars. When we initially called to hire their services, we were told that "PODS delivers everywhere in the United States," this was a lie that multiple agents have clearly been trained to propagate. However, PODS does not deliver on this promise or "everywhere in the U.S.," for that matter. Initially, we obtained the containers in El Paso, Texas, and told the sales rep that we would need our belongings stored long-term as we did not know where in the U.S. we would be buying our home. After almost two years, we finally purchased our home, and when it came time to have our PODS delivered, we were told that our containers would not be delivered to our home in New Mexico.

    After attempting to deal with multiple reps and a so-called "Customer Advocacy – Resolution Specialist," James **, PODS refused to honor their promise and even refused to assist us with a discounted month's storage rent fee, which would have helped with giving us enough time to transport our belongings over a few weeks. Instead, we had to empty out over 32 feet (length) by 6 feet (width) and 8 feet (height) worth of stuff (about a 4-bedroom home, kitchen, living room, etc.) all in one day.

    My three children, my wife, and I had to travel over 4 hours from our new home down to El Paso, where PODS put our containers on their parking lot for us to empty them out into the biggest U-Haul we could rent, which also required a trailer we attached to the U-Haul, in order to get our belongings and then traveled another 4 hours back home the same day. If you've ever moved, you can imagine the pain this was, and all because PODS refused to help make it right for the customer.

    It's fair to say that if PODS trains their reps to over-promise, and as a multi-million dollar corporation (not to mention the almost $20k I paid them), asking them to deliver our items or help us with a discounted month's storage fee is nothing more than a drop-in-the-bucket for them, financially speaking. While this review might not grasp much attention, on the off-chance that it does, PODS will rather come out with a PR-drafted apology to save face and promise to "look into things" while not changing anything internally. It's no wonder that they have a 1.5-star review on places like Consumer Affairs and Yelp (something I wish I had known prior). Ultimately, this is done. I had to endure financial losses, time, and a body ache that will take weeks to recover from, but alas, I hope it helps the next person.
