The whole PODS experience was great! They were timely from pick up to drop off and it was easy to ask questions and get informative answers. We were dreading the Uhaul timeline and the ‘a la caret’ pricing at pods let us relax and take our time. PODS is a very slick way to move. 100% would recommend using PODS.

Overpriced for starters. You will not receive your delivery on time as scheduled. You will speak to 100 representatives and they all will give you a different answer. Don’t waste your time or money. I feel like I got scammed but you live and learn.

I needed temporary storage and I got a pod from PODS. I got the largest that was available, and it was good. I booked it over the phone. Their rep was great. When they brought the pod, they put it where I requested it. My experience was fine.

I would highly recommend PODS. They are an elite company. Their customer service was perfect. Each person I talked to was knowledgeable and friendly. Each time you have a pickup or delivery, you are notified in plenty of time. I would use them again without hesitation. Them again without hesitation.

Pods provided a good alternative to traditional diy moves thru truck rental and full service movers. The three size containers are not all available for long distance moves. Only large and small can be used for long distance. The pros, the ease and flexibility of scheduling drop off and pick up, having a month of storage included that can be used during loading, or en route to new location if the new place is not available immediately, avoiding additional unloading and loading issues. Some of the cons, all sizes quoted are external dimensions, and for larger households, the internal dimension, translated into available cubic ft of space needs to be carefully looked at, especially given that not all the space can be effectively used. Other cons is that you can change the schedules only before four days of already set date. So late changes are difficult to accomplish.
This especially becomes challenging given, the availability of moving help sometimes can be hard to confirm. The door design on pods is a bit finicky… they can get stuck making them difficult to open or close, even with empty container. Once loaded, one needs to be very diligent in strapping items down, as during pickup and drop off, pod can be tilted and if items move, which it did on one of two large pods we had to rent, it becomes difficult to open the rolling up style doors with internal brackets and door protrusions that can get stuck against the shifted items. Finally, there are lots of details to pay attention to, like the pick up, and drop off location, and availability of space to place and load containers. We found late in the game about need for city permits as the drop off location driveway and street were narrow and had to put up no parking signs that cost additional $s. We rented the pods and were lucky to make the logistics work.
Customer reps were very helpful, and the company that provided the permits and signs, some many positives there, however, given many details, upfront research is needed. Flexibility exit, but costs could also go up quick, if you need to go from one pod to more… the estimates on moving costs are off by significant amount, as inflation must have also affected this industry. So do the comparison shopping, and know the details on drop off, one month rental, the transport, insurance, loading help, and the size and number of pods you need as well as, whether you need a permit at loading, unloading locations. Many items affecting your total cost as well as logistics to be managed.

Pods services started off great but ended horribly and I am still fighting them to this day. I called to schedule the drop off of my two pods and was told by the representative the new total for the delivery, $628.50. What she failed to tell me was she created a new city to city move as well as extend my monthly rental. Upon logging into my account the next day I was charged $1128 & $516, as well as the $628.50. This totaled $1600 in charges I was not made aware of nor did I approve.
I have been emailing Pods since this happened as well as file a dispute with them, my credit card company and the BBB. They have been unwilling to provide me the proof I need to win my case, which is the transcript of the phone conversation I had with the pods representative to book my drop off. If they provided it, they would lose their case so of course the logical thing is to ignore me or tell me only an attorney can request the script. I have asked for proof of this policy but am met with silence. I am still fighting this fight. $1600 may not be a lot to some people, but it is a dramatic hit to my family. I beg you, find anyone else to use other than Pods. They will just screw you over in the end.

Every went fine until I tried to get my pod delivered. Driver said he cannot drop it in the street in the Jacksonville market even though I had it planned with customer service. I can rent a U-Haul and unload it at the facility. Got New driveway and would void warranty. I said bring it. Showed up with 2 forklift holes in the side and water inside. He said they would put it out of service when they picked it up. 2 items were damaged so I made a claim. Their insurance denied it saying that I didn’t pack it properly ( I did- had everything tied and covered and stacked well) And there was no sign that they were at fault. Really? I sent a bunch of pictures, guess they didn’t even look at them. Wonder if everyone gets the same response? I recommend going with any other company.

Unprofessional, do not use. I booked a PODS reservation and then had to cancel. What a run-a-round I was put in. Transferred to multiple people and continued put on hold. I had to call numerous times to final get it cancelled. SHADY way to do business.

I've used PODS' services for close to three years. They are more expensive, but there's a reason for that. I had some items in storage at their facility. I like that it was a mobile type of setup. They delivered to our house, and I needed some time to load it. I was moving and didn't necessarily need it delivered at that time, but I didn't need to put it in an accessible storage place. So, I didn't need access to my storage. I needed to put it there for a period of time and then get it back. So, they provided the convenience for what I needed it for.
Their reps were great. The people who came and delivered and picked up the container were extremely professional. It's scary having one of them picked up and delivered from your house because they're on this gigantic hydraulics but they all explained what they were doing. They were very professional, very competent, and made sure everything was assessed prior to delivery and drop-off to be sure that the location could accommodate it. It was a great workflow and a great process.

I was renovating my house and needed to remove the furniture. I needed to have a place to keep new stuff that had been ordered and were coming in until the contractors were ready for it. I gauged everything in terms of what would be kept in the pod and for how long. They asked me where the pod would sit and if there were any obstructions.
The pod was delivered in the time that PODS said it would be delivered. It was clean and they dropped it off in the perfect location. I was thinking it needed to be flipped around, not facing the backyard. But the guy delivered it with the door facing the backyard, which turned out to be perfect because I was having my kitchen renovated so going in the back was the way for it to be. The size was perfect. When everything was in it, it was full but not overloaded. When the work was over, I was not sure they were gonna be able to pick it up, but that worked out too. I would recommend others to use PODS. I used another company a couple of years back, and it was okay but this time with PODS, everything went so smoothly and exactly the way I would have wanted it to be.

Looking on online, PODS came out expensive and we had questions. When we called on the phone, it still was a little expensive. We said we'd think about it and they kept making us a deal. We finally came out with a way to do it that wasn't too much more than U-Haul. They worked with us on the price and how to sign up for it to get the best deal. Even though it was a little more, the convenience was worthwhile. I was very impressed with the PODZILLA, which is the little self-contained crane that gets the pod off the truck and puts it right where we want it. They did a great job putting the pod where we wanted it. We didn't get everything in but comparing it to a U-Haul, it was gonna be a lot easier because we had a few days to pack and a few days to unpack it.

We had my stuff moved from Houston up here to the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State. I had storage down in Houston, and I was talking to the guy down there about various ways of moving stuff. He suggested PODS. I went to one of the three warehouses in Houston, met the manager there and spoke with him. Then I called PODS and made the arrangements.
I didn't know exactly what my address was gonna be up here. When I made the arrangement, it had to come to PODS' Tacoma warehouse. When I found out what my address was going to be, which is 100 miles away from the Tacoma warehouse, I was able to get in touch with the manager of the Tacoma warehouse who then proceeded to tell me that he could ship it from his warehouse to my location. Prior to that time, whoever the young lady was that I was making the arrangements with was unaware that that was possible. She told me that it couldn't be done so I drove up here and brought my motor home to where I'm located thinking that I had to get a U-Haul truck to get down to the Tacoma warehouse and move it myself, which was not true.
When I talked with the manager there at the Tacoma warehouse, he was very nice. He comes up here periodically and he could schedule me with that kind of a move, and it worked out perfectly. They brought it up here to the U-Haul location which has climate controlled storage. I hired a couple of guys help me get the stuff out of the pod and into the U-Haul storage then PODS had people come to pick the pod up the next morning. Everything worked out very well.
The only mishap that occurred was I filled it halfway and bought these straps with the ratchet on them to tighten it. I realized after I put everything in there that the clips that you put it around that are welded across the corners of the pod were behind the boxes. We had to pull our stuff back out in order for me to get the straps on properly. But that was on me, not on PODS. They were excellent. Everything got shipped all the way up here and I don't think anything moved very much. I was quite pleased with what took place.

I had PODS deliver three pods and move them across the state of Florida from Melbourne to the Largo area, and the gentleman who helped me set up was very helpful. The only snag was they couldn't change things around for me. The closing of the house I bought in Largo was delayed by a day and the movers were supposed to deliver the last pod that had the furniture that next day. It had to be changed but they couldn't accommodate me because they couldn't change drivers.
The following week, I got pod number 1 and then, they took that away, and then pod number 2. Finally, at the end of the week, after they were supposed to do it, I got the one with the furniture. Otherwise, they were very efficient. I only had one piece of furniture broken and it was probably not their fault. It was maybe the way it was packed and the piece of furniture itself. But they were very nice and knowledgeable, and it was a good service. It wasn’t cheap but it was cheaper than what a moving company would have been.

We like the ease of getting online with PODS and seeing the calendar. It's also easy to book. You can select the size you want. We've done it so often now that I know. I'm able to let them know exactly where it's to be placed, and they're really good about following your directions or they'll call me if they have any questions when they drop off. They're also good at dealing with whatever my issue is. Their cost is in line with what others charge. Sometimes they tack on different types of fees. But we've always had a good experience. We definitely would recommend PODS.

I needed PODS to ship some furniture to Florida for me from Vancouver, Washington. Everything went fine. But people should make sure they got the information on when the furniture was gonna be delivered. Because they were good at dropping the pod off and getting a load and picking it up. I was never given a day for the delivery. When I called, I would just get pushed out and pushed out. PODS is cheaper than a regular moving company. But I would definitely ask them more questions than I had asked. I'd get something pinned down a little bit better, at least, an understanding of when I was gonna get the furniture.
When I set it up, I talked to somebody that took the order and got all that stuff together. But when I called back later on to find out when I was gonna get the delivery, I talked to somebody else. My stuff sat down, and I believe it was Orlando, for about two weeks before they could schedule the delivery for me. I was already living here at the house with nothing.

The PODS rep was friendly, looked for deals, informative, and didn't take long. The integrity of the container was fine. There wasn't enough latches to secure stuff. There could be more. I got some stuff that was damaged, which I expected because it was going across country. And with how PODS move them, stuff would get jostled around a bit. The nature of how pods containers are moved, it could be problematic. So some stuff got damaged but nothing horrible. It was to be expected.
Nothing got catastrophically damaged. Just scuffs on furniture, even though I got them in furniture pads and packed them as well as I could. The constant rubbing from the drives and from the transportation ate right through the furniture pads, all the way down to the fabric on the couch. I had a table that was also wrapped up well, but scuff through everything and ended up sanding the corner of the table a bit. And a grandfather clock and one of the rods broke in it. But the alternative was not taking it at all because it was a huge move. Overall, I was happy enough. I didn't complain to PODS about it.

PODS got the pod in front of my house and then delivered it to the place where I moved. I did the booking online and it didn’t take long. You write in your info and they give you a call. They take your info and then, they create the account. After that, you can see the updates of your pod from the website by yourself. My pod fits perfectly and I’m happy about the quality. If I move, I'll use PODS again.

We rented a pod because we had an emergency here with an insurance claim and used it for temporary storage. I booked it over the phone. The rep was extraordinarily helpful. He was as knowledgeable and helpful as anybody I've dealt with in the last several years conducting business over the phone. The delivery person and the pick-up person were superb. They got it done effectively and efficiently, no muss, no fuss, and politely. As bad as the experience was with the challenge at the home, our interaction with all the people associated with PODS was superb. The only challenge we had was one of my youngsters bent a key and broke it off. So, the key on the lock that we had purchased might have been stronger. But it was a simple fix. I was able to use a screwdriver and get it out.

I inquired about PODS online and live chatted with somebody then a coordinator called me. He was wonderful. I video chatted with him and we went through our stuff, what we had in the garage, in the living room, and in the different rooms. He was able to tell us what our size should be for what we needed to pack. He gave me all the information that I needed and booked the date. When we moved up the date at one point, I had a good point of contact. The pod was dropped off exactly when we asked it to be, and it was picked up exactly when they said it would be.
The pod was clean. We bought a bunch of plastic bins from Costco instead of cardboard boxes. My husband had researched it and it was one of those things where you don't want things to be moving around, especially with that long of a trip because we went from Colorado to Florida. We brought a little bit of furniture, a freezer and 30 bins. They stacked up nicely, so we were able to tie them off in the pod. When we got here, nothing had shifted, and we didn't have any damage. It was the easiest way to move, especially for a cross-country one.

I was moving from California to Texas and considering getting a U-Haul trailer. But I'm kind of up there in years. I was looking at moving companies and PODS was the best bet because I didn't have that much stuff. The pickup and delivery were very flawless. The drivers were very accommodating, courteous and friendly. Professional is the best word for them. I would recommend PODS to anybody. For me particularly, it worked out great. I had a small one and it was just what I needed.

I had a very good experience with PODS. I moved from one state to another. I got a pod up in New York, and they delivered it down here in South Carolina. I had to move the date twice, and they accommodated me. The crew was very good, pleasant, polite and they contacted me. The first guy had to move the door because it was facing the wrong direction. He moved it for me when he got there. Everything was great.

I had an awesome experience with PODS. They were there when they said they would be there. When they told me they were gonna drop my stuff off, it was like, "Can we get it sooner?" They were able to get a delivery date sooner. The pickup was good. I wish the size of the pod had been a little bit bigger. But the price was reasonable. They were friendly, too and I highly recommend them.

PODS was more affordable than the other pod container businesses. Also, the booking experience was easy. I did everything online. But the pickup times were confusing. They would say they would email me the time, but when that time came, it would be different. That was perturbing. But the driver interactions were great. He explained how to install the pod, how to pick it up, and how the machine worked.

I booked with PODS over the phone. It's more complicated than signing up for a lot of things. But considering the logistics of a pod transport, it made sense. I checked the website. Made sure things are progressing. I got a call from the pod delivery driver when they were close. It worked well.

Everything related to PODS was so great! We had numerous schedule changes that were outside of our control (the sellers of the house we were buying kept pushing our closing date) and PODS staff were so understanding and helpful in making sure our household goods were safe and available when we needed them! I had an okay experience with PODS. It was very expensive. There was some rodent damage to a couple of items. It was very convenient to have the drop off and pickup feature. They hold a decent number of boxes and items. It was nice that a POD could hold the weight of my safe.

When I moved from MD to CA, I had to wait a long time between packing up my belongings and having them arrive in CA because my apartment in CA was being built and was not finished. I called PODS for a container and they brought one out to my MD home shortly. I filled it up and left it in the yard for a while as I had to wait to have it moved because the new apartment was not finished. I finally asked if they could move it out of that yard and store it somewhere for a while, and I left the house and personally moved to CA where I stayed with my daughter.
PODS moved the container to FL promptly and stored it there for almost 2 months. When the apartment was finally finished, just before Christmas, I asked PODS to deliver it to my new home on December 22, and they did so. My requests were promptly attended to and I was so impressed with the dexterity that the drivers had in moving such a large and bulky object as the PODS container. The people I spoke with on the phone were easy to understand and attended to my requests promptly. I would recommend PODS to anyone who has to move or needs to store things for a while.

The price, delivery and pickup were great! I highly recommend PODS to anyone in need of temporary storage when moving! This was the first we had used them and I would use them again if needed in the future. The drivers for both the deliveries and pickups were friendly and helpful. I feel that PODS is a great company to work with and reliable and trustworthy. Definitely a Five Star company to me.

The pickup of the POD was not the best. The delivery at the drop off location was awesome. The delivery female driver backed up perfectly up the hill. The pickup man made ruts in the grass off the roadside while driving forward out of the property. It tore up the grass and the side of the road.

If I ever move again I would definitely use Pods again. Held everything they said it would. Drivers were great and always on time and tell everyone to use them if they plan on moving. Very reasonably priced compared to other moving companies which were outrageous for moving 55 miles.

All of the men that delivered my pod and picked up my pod were very courteous and friendly! I wish I could remember the name of the man that delivered it in Slidell for me because he even turned it around when my son told me I should’ve done it differently! Good guy. ☺️ He didn’t mind!!

Worst customer service. They cancelled my order after dialing an incorrect number and being told no one ordered a pod. They didn't try any alternate numbers that were listed. We called their customer service in Philippines. No help, no accountability and all they offered was the same discount/promo that I had already applied. They gaslit my wife and I. This company is horrendous, would gladly pay more for a company that respects their customers and their time. Never again.

I arranged for a POD to be dropped off and then taken to storage to help stage my house in Port Hope, ON in order to stage and sell. Military discount was appreciated. POD was dropped off on time. Pickup went well and POD was taken to storage. House was subsequently sold and POD dropped off again for movers to pack. Again it was on time and as expected. Driver was same all the way through. He was polite, courteous and helpful. Service was excellent, would absolutely recommend to others and would use again.

The telephone process was atrocious. Spent what felt like hours, trying to re-invent the wheel. Your people are unable to support their clients because of the terrible information systems and processes that PODS has established. Not planning on doing any more business with PODS.

I’m not sure where these positive reviews have come from, but this company is a SCAM. Not only did they charge me hidden fees I was never made aware of; but they kept my POD at a holding facility for weeks so they could charge me extra in ‘rent’. When I was finally able to get my POD delivered, they delivered the wrong POD. Said they would have the right POD delivered that day but never did. Tried to contact anyone on multiple levels to find out where it was, however no one was able to get an answer or call me back. Still don’t know where my things are, and may never see them at this point.

Beware - Pods does not pro-rate ANYTHING. We paid for storage of our pods until we had closed on our new house. Storage for 2 pods was over $800 per month. We had them delivered in the middle of the month which should have resulted in a $400 prorate refund, but they kept the money for the whole month. I'm sorry I did business with a company that has policies like this.

On 7/10/24 I confirmed an order with PODS based on an estimate of $4,943.75 to include initial drop off, transfer of PODS, storage for 1 month, and final delivery. On 7/23/24, I spoke to a PODS representative to change my final drop off destination. The distance from my home to the original destination I was quoted for was 604.1 miles (589.3 miles from start to original PODS storage facility + 14.8 miles from PODS storage facility to final drop off = 604.1 total mileage). The updated PODS destination was 601.5 miles from my start location + 14.1 miles from updated PODS location to new home = 615.6 total miles) - an overall 11.5 mile difference/increase. This change was requested on 7/23/24 and I received zero indication that my original estimate would not be honored, zero communication was given regarding a cost increase, no updated costs were promulgated to me or authorized by me.
The PODS were delivered on 7/29/24 and picked up 8/02/24. The only reason I found out my cost for this service increased from the quote agreed upon on 7/10/24, was due to the charge to my account on 7/31/24 revealing a $1200.00+ difference in what I agreed to. After speaking to a representative on 8/15/24 (case#01618225) who agreed that the gross increase didn’t match the 11.5 mile increase resulting from the destination change, my ticket was escalated and I was promised that a supervisor would call me to discuss further.
On 8/19/24, I received a ticket closure notification via email from PODS - no phone call was received and resolution hasn’t been reached. The change in destination was made BEFORE my PODS were initially delivered to be packed for transfer and storage and if I had been told that this change would result in the $1200.00+ increase it did, I would have cancelled my reservation immediately and selected a different company. I was not given the opportunity to make this choice because PODS withheld these increased cost details from me. This is predatory financial entrapment.

I’ve had an absolutely horrendous experience with PODS, and I feel compelled to warn others about their unreliable service and unacceptable handling of my belongings.
1. Constant Delays and Broken Promises: My POD was initially scheduled for pick-up on August 10, with a requested time in the afternoon. Instead, they scheduled it for 7:00 AM, which didn’t work with my schedule. I immediately contacted PODS to reschedule, and they assured me it would be picked up on Monday, raising a case for this issue. However, this was just the beginning of a nightmare. Over the weekend, I had to follow up multiple times, only to be given vague responses and no solid date. I called numerous times, being told to call back every two hours due to their “system issues.” Despite promises from supervisors, the POD was still not picked up on time. This back-and-forth, with constant delays and case closures, was completely unacceptable and beyond frustrating.
2. Severe Ant Infestation: To make matters worse, when the POD was finally delivered, I discovered that it was infested with ants. Many of my cardboard boxes and my couch were overrun by ants, causing significant damage to my belongings. It’s clear that PODS did not store the container in a safe, clean environment. Instead, it seems they kept it in an infested area, leading to this disastrous situation. I’ve had to raise a damage claim due to this negligence, but given their track record, I have little faith that they will resolve this properly. Note: My pods were packed and loaded with professional movers with all of these just noting how big ant infestation was.
3. Lack of Accountability: Throughout this ordeal, PODS consistently failed to take responsibility for their mistakes. They shifted blame saying they initially gave a date, closed cases prematurely, and provided no meaningful solutions. Even when I informed them that my apartment complex will have the container towed at their expense, they still did not act promptly or professionally.
The entire experience was a display of poor customer service, disorganization, and disregard for customer property. I strongly advise against using PODS for your moving or storage needs. Their lack of reliability, the severe infestation issue, and their complete disregard for customer satisfaction have left me utterly disappointed. Save yourself the headache and avoid PODS at all costs!

I rented two 16ft boxes for my family move from Virgina to Florida. Everything went extremely smooth and both boxes were transported and delivered as promised. All of my items were delivered and received in Florida in the same condition as when we packed them in Virginia. We were worried things would have been damaged in the box handling and transport stages but we were impressed when everything arrived with no damage.

From start to finish it was a great experience. The lady I spoke to when I called was great. Explained everything and we booked. I did call around after I booked because I could cancel and they were the best price. They came out as promised right on time. He was great. He also explained what we needed to do and the best way to pack. The next guy at pick up again explained what we could expect when dropped off and how to open when delivered. When delivered again great guy. Explained the best way to open and it was put right where we needed it to be done. Pick up as promised without a problem again on time and again a very nice guy. Each person was polite, professional, helpful and loved their job. It was a great experience. Hopefully we will not have to move again but if we do I will not hesitate to call PODS.

My pods experience was 50/50. The good: the initial drop off person was highly professional and gave me excellent tips. The company stuck to all the schedules without issue. The pod was a secure storage method. The bad: When I placed the order, the person taking it should have advised me to order a second pod when I reviewed my belongings. He then steered me to a moving company that was terrible. Finally, when they picked up the pod at my new home the guy tore my Internet line, didn’t tell us, and wound the wires and hid them behind a bush. I also didn’t sign anything. He left in a hurry.

We were moving from outside of Buffalo, New York to Boston, Massachusetts area. We needed to move our household belongings and wanted to do the loading ourselves but didn't wanna be doing the driving. I looked online about what the general cost was like on PODS and saw positive reviews for it. I then started the process of setting up the move. At some point, I was told to call customer service who went through the process with me and set everything up. The rep did a great job on it. We did the initial booking and I had access to an online system where I could go in, set and confirm dates. They set up the delivery time on the website. They had to schedule pod numbers and we'd set up the day we wanted it delivered. Then PODS let us know what the delivery time was. There was some level of choice. You could say you need one of these delivery windows, and they'd show up and unload the pod.
We had PODS deliver a total of five pods to us and let us load them. Then they moved it to Massachusetts and we unloaded them. It was very noticeable with PODS that the drivers were very cheerful. They seemed to like their job and did an efficient job. They were trying to be as helpful as possible and do the job right. I was very impressed.

The process with PODS was excellent. The lady that answered my call was knowledgeable and helpful. She understood my needs. Even when I had to extend the pods, she gave me a price right then. I should have gotten the bigger pod because my house is bigger, but the one I got worked as well. I had dealt with PODS before and it's convenient for me to have them in my driveway without them going anywhere else. When I had a pod delivered before, I talked to the guy and I had him put it closer to the garage door. The second time, I didn't have to deal with the driver at all because I was at work. He just dropped it off. I wish it was put closer to the garage door but other than that, it was fine. We had a storm and it rained so much that the water stood on the outside. But it never got inside on my furniture. I'd tell others to go for PODS. I've had people that have asked me about my experience with PODS and I had nothing bad to say about them.

This was my first time using PODS, and I wasn't sure how it would go. But the customer service from PODS was helpful and they were knowledgeable in terms of what they could and could not tell me. I was pleasantly surprised. I price-compared PODS with a trucking company. I knew I didn't need a full truck. 3,000 square feet is the minimum that you can do a partial shipment on a truck. So, PODS suited my needs better and was a bit more financially nice to me. I ended up getting a 14-foot, but I could have gone with the 8-foot because I had a lot of space left. I spoke with PODS extensively as to what I would take and not. But I am spatially challenged. And it didn't seem to me that the 8-foot would take what I would take with me. One got dropped off and I started packing it. It was, “I could have gone smaller.”

I needed my stuff in storage for a year and a half and I didn't wanna go to a public storage. I went with PODS and the booking was fine. I talked to someone personally and they took all my information. The pickup and drop-off were wonderful and the pod was clean. I'd tell others to use them instead of storage places.

We used PODS when we moved our son into an apartment in New York. The calling and talking were easy but I would get follow-up emails or statuses which were not accurate so then I'd have to call the guy again and tell him, "Why does it say this when you told me that?"

I had a positive experience with PODS. The drivers were excellent, both in Maryland and on the California side. I was able to meet three out of the four drivers. The destination is a difficult place to get to. It requires going eight miles up a single lane road then another two miles on a dirt road. But the two drivers that did that did it excellently and were very professional. All my belongings were in good shape just as I had packed them so I was quite pleased with the service PODS provided.
I wasn't aware that the pod rentals were a full month. I thought there was a prorating involved. Because of the dirt roads up here and in the wet spring, they couldn't safely traverse up here. With a week left, a guy called me and asked when I wanted do it. I gave him the dates, and he told me that would give me a third month. I appreciate the company looking out for the customer there and telling me the better deal was to do it a little quicker if I could handle it. From a consumer standpoint, it's the kind of thing that would give me faith in the company. PODS needs to make a profit, but they're also not willing to straight up rip someone off if they don't know the exact details of the contract. That's rare these days.
The only negative thing is the construction of the pod. Where the connection for the straps are placed almost inevitably means that when you roll the door up, the hooks that are on the inside of the door will catch the strap so you gotta get on your back, get underneath and manually unhook them. If those hooks were recessed two inches even, then that wouldn't occur.

I really enjoyed working with PODS. I booked with them over the phone and everybody that I spoke to was very good. I got the biggest pod that they have and I had a lot of stuff, so it was a little small for me. But it worked out and the items were safe inside. Also, the drivers were on time all the time. When we needed storage and moving services, PODS was convenient to use. I booked online, which was pretty easy, and I got the biggest size that they have. Then I got the email confirmation and the drivers contacted me. Everything went very smoothly and on schedule. We had our stuff in storage for about six years then we moved it from that location to Hallandale Beach. I highly recommend PODS.

The quality of the pod was great. We would have liked for it to cost less. But I also checked Zippy Shell. Their prices were comparable, if not, a little lower. But I also liked the PODS container better than Zippy Shell'a. PODS was square while Zippy Shell was somewhat rounded and smaller.

We chose PODS because of the convenience of having the pod delivered right to our driveway and we have the ability to pack it ourselves and then have it delivered to our new home when we got there. We rented a pod and loaded it ourselves. It was moved up from North Carolina to New York for us. It was stored in a warehouse and it was secured and taken care of. When we got here, we contacted PODS and they put us in line with a group of several contractors that could unload it. We picked one and they did a great job. If I had known that there were people like that available, I would have had my whole move done with PODS. I've already recommended them to anybody that I know that's moving.

I was happy with the whole experience, the scheduling, the on time performance of the pickup and delivery. The drivers were informative and pleasant. The POD was clean and sturdy. But, I was given the wrong weight limit and it cost me so much more, because I sent the POD out only 1/2 loaded. I could have put another 4000 lbs in it and not be over.

Twice we booked online, and twice we did it via phone. We had an issue with the phone booking. We were traveling, and there was a communication issue, but it wasn't a huge deal. It was just the amount we were being told we were gonna pay was different than what we thought we were gonna pay. There was also a communication issue on when we needed the pod, but it was rectified. We got in touch with PODS and they took care of it right away. Besides that, we just took delivery of our fourth pod, transporting from New Jersey to Florida. All the pods have been delivered when they said they were gonna be here and in good, clean condition. If a person doesn't mind packing and taking care of stuff like putting stuff on board and moving it, PODS is a great way to move. It's cost effective.

The whole experience was great! Scheduling was very easy. Every person I dealt with at PODS was very professional and courteous. The drivers were amazing and it was so fun to watch the POD load and unload. I had a minor issue with the door jamming on delivery. When I called in a customer service rep was going to come out and personally help resolve it… Ended up not being necessary though. Highly recommend!

The process was incredibly simple. I made the call, they told me the price, we made a delivery appointment. We made space for the POD and made sure the area was clear as directed, and watching it arrive was actually fun! We needed the pod a few more weeks than plan, so we rescheduled our pickup time. It all worked fabulously. I loved the responsiveness of the person who took up my order. The convenience of a web account to use after that was nice. The directions and videos provided were accurate and made it easy to know what to expect. They were upfront on the costs - monthly cost, even for a partial month, plus a drop off and pickup fee. They didn't hide anything, which was something I appreciated.

We used PODS for temporary storage of some furniture while we were staging our home for sale, and moving to our new home. The service worked exactly as advertised. There was clear communication from the service and the driver about drop-off and pick-up times. We appreciated being able to provide our own lock for the POD. After storage, there was no problem getting the POD delivered to our new address, and our furniture was fine -- no damage.

Setting up the POD along with delivery and storage were seamless. Customer service on the army side was excellent in the beginning. There were hiccups with delivery. Trouble getting appropriate weight tickets for the military. Rats got into the storage container. Pickup after delivery was confirmed and nobody showed on 2 different occasions (without notifying me).

Everything went well, the people I initially talked to were great and helping me understand the process. The guy that brought the pod was great. Very personable and caring and gave me all the information I asked. Showed me how to close the door on the pod. Gave me other ideas about how to pack my things. The pickup was on time, and the drop off was also. They were running a little bit late but they contacted me to let me know.
Very nice guy dropping off informing of the process of dropping off the pod. And I scheduled to pick up time and they were all good with that. It was on time. They parked it really good in the parking lot at my apartment so my new neighbors were happy with that. I would highly recommend PODS. A pod came all the way across the United States. It made it safely to me. Nothing was broke lost or anything. The locks were still on the door.. I had put two locks on the door due to the fact that it was going a long ways. It gave me that little extra security. I highly recommend pods.

The customer service lady assured me these people were very professional and would unload all our items place them where we wanted, set them up and assemble them! The charge for this is over $600.00 per day, which came down to one hour of time per day! These were no highly trained individuals but migrant workers who could barely speak English! Of the two guys one was the leader and could speak better than the other one. They brought no tools to reassemble anything and had to use mine and they put up a mirror on a dresser and tried to assemble my desk but is not right! I didn’t dare ask them to assemble to BowFlex! They were not professional or highly trained as they did not use proper body mechanics with to boxes and containers. This whole thing is a huge rip off and is way overpriced!

Turns out you get what you pay for – buyer beware. Damage to my furniture AND my property; no resolution. I decided to try using PODS for a recent move. The prospect of having a few days to pack up the storage unit on both ends of the move was the biggest draw. I will say that the pricing, the scheduling, and even finalizing dates was not difficult. That being said, those are “nice to haves” – after showing up on time, proper handling and not causing damage to your things are really the baseline requirements for a positive moving experience.
Unfortunately, neither of those basic requirements were met, and after one of their drivers (the second driver…first driver dropping off the unit had no problem) damaged part of my home property, months of me calling and emailing their customer service agents (who provide very little responsiveness for these types of situations) I was referred to THEIR insurance company – Gallagher Bassett Third-Party Administrator) and had to deal directly with them for several more months, until ultimately they rejected the claim and accused me of insurance fraud. I am at a loss for what to do now except warn everyone I can that PODS will do whatever they can to avoid responsibility if anything goes wrong with the service you pay for.
After setting up the initial dropoff date for the POD, they conveniently connected me with movers who could help get some of the heavier furniture and some boxes out of my residence and into the unit. To be clear, I had only one heavy item (an empty dresser) and had already moved out most of the items – this was just getting leftover stuff to my parents’ house. I took care to wrap the dresser in pads and plastic wrap to avoid damage. When the movers arrived, I double checked with them that it was wrapped appropriately. When they reached the POD they proceeded to drag the dresser without lifting it, which resulted in one of the wooden screw in legs snapping off the base and breaking in half. A great start to the process. I had to do all the legwork to provide proof of damage, obtain quotes for repair, and negotiate with them on a compromise amount. Well, at least if that’s the worst that happens, I can live with it.
After taking the POD and transporting it to the final destination, I was relieved since the only thing left was for the last driver to come pick up their empty POD and take it away. Of course, what happens but they try to pull a three point turn in my driveway (which the first driver didn’t need to do, go figure?) and his truck collided with a stone culvert, breaking part of it off. Because this was at my parents home, I was not there that day (all they needed to do was pick up the empty unit) so my father did his best to take some pictures, including one of the driver calling PODS – I can only assume to report the situation. I spent month calling PODS and being told they would escalate the situation to the proper teams, only to then be told it was my responsibility to work directly with their insurance company (Gallagher Bassett TPA or Third Party Administrator).
That was a nightmare, starting with the fact that they ghosted me twice and I had to start the process over with both PODS and GBTPA. In addition, while I got a PODS case number, I never got an actual insurance claim number, meaning I had to fight between PODS and GBTPA about the fact that they never initiated the claim in order to give me an insurance claim number (turns out it is not the same thing as the PODS case number). Finally, after months of going back and forth and getting lots of silence, the insurance company sent me a formal notice that they were refusing to provide any compensation or help repairing the damage, and accusing me of attempting insurance fraud.
At the end of the day, it’s not worth it to me to pursue legal action over the repair – it will not be cheap, but fortunately I can afford it. The reason I spent so long seeking some recompense was really the principle of the situation and my frustration at how bad the experience has been. If you decide that using PODS is worth it, I sincerely hope that nothing goes wrong, because if it does you will have a heck of a time getting anything resolved.

I am in the middle of a PODS move and have not been able to access my online account for several days. I have contact customer service several times, each time getting a different story as to why the problem is and no one can tell me when it will be fixed. I know there is incorrect information which the individual at PODs added to my account, but no way to correct it. Given PODs directs you each time to use their online system it seems odd they cannot maintain it or fix it within a reasonable time.

As far as the moving and storage is concerned, I don't have many complaints. HOWEVER, when it comes to their prices and billing practices, I would not recommend them at all. I called to get information for my move, and very specifically asked all the fees. I was told an amount for delivery of the POD, how much the moving was, the storage, etc. This is where this company leaves a lot to be desired.
I was told that if I had the POD delivered before the storage month was over, it would be prorated. Well that was a big, fat lie. I paid the storage from July 22 to August 22. I had the POD PICKED UP today, July 29th. 7 Days into the month, and they charged me the full month (until August 22) and on top of that they charged me more than what I was told pick up would be (250.00). Well, they charged my card for almost 500.00!!!! just for the pick up. So seven days ago they took the full month for storage and today they took the almost 500. Now the idiot on the phone tells me that they do not prorate, that I am stuck with the entire month of storage even though they are NO Longer using the service. Telling you one thing to hook you into using them, and then not honoring that is simply lousy business practice. If I ever move again, you can be sure I will not use this company, much less recommend them to anyone.

My experience with PODS was awful, and I would not recommend them to anyone. Below are a few reasons: Weight Tickets: As active-duty military, I required weight tickets for my move and called twice before my POD delivery to request them. Despite this, it took over a week after my POD was retrieved from the original address to receive them. When I finally got the tickets, they were unsigned, which the military requires to be signed. I spoke with a representative named Kimberly, who promised to send signed tickets ASAP. However, even a week after her promise, I still haven’t received them.
Same Day Delivery and Pick Up: There is a $200+ fee for same-day delivery and pick-up. As a token of gratitude for the inconvenience with the weight tickets, two separate representatives agreed to waive this fee. Despite this, it was not waived until I explained the situation to a third representative, who then had to escalate the issue to corporate. They finally relented and waived the fee. Overcharged: I was initially quoted around $2,300. However, the final fee was over $2,900, and no one was able to explain why there was a $600 increase. Given these issues, I strongly advise staying away from this company. Their poor service and lack of communication caused significant inconvenience and stress during my move.

I'm at the generation where I need to speak to someone because I was using something for the first time. So, I started by speaking to PODS. Then later on when I needed to have the pods delivered earlier, I would go online. So, it was back and forth. We had three containers, and the delivery was great. I really like PODS. They were great and I would recommend it highly. They should just look into the Pack & Load part of their plan. I will never recommend or use Pack & Load. I had a terrible experience with them. And if it was my first pod that I was having done that way, I would have never done it. In fact, I canceled them moving into the house to unpack the pod. The experience I had with them packing it was so unprofessional and I was having a nervous breakdown. That was how upset I was with them.
I had to call Pack & Load to complain highly, and the person I spoke to the first time hung up on me twice. They did call me back. They had told me that they were reputable in unloading grandfather clocks, which I have. I inherited it and it is very old. When the men came to pack the house up, they came with nothing. I had ordered the paper blankets. They had no supplies with them. They knew nothing about packing up a grandfather clock.
Then they had to send one of their men all the way up to North Jersey to get all the supplies and then wasted time because I paid for three guys. I said to the one guy, "Well, I ordered three men to help do this, and now, one is gone." He said, "Well, he's working." I said, "He's not working. You should have had these supplies with you." Then he knew nothing about loading a grandfather clock at all. They charged me $75 extra for that. When I finally got a call from the customer service after the other woman had hung up on me, I said, "You could deduct the $75 because they basically didn't care what they were doing."
The clock is still laying in my living room because I have to call somebody in to set it up because they carried it out horizontally. The one guy was tipping it over with the weights and against the glass. It was a total disaster. Every single piece of wooden furniture that they packed in that pod has deep marks and scratches in it. It's unbelievable. So, every single piece of wooden furniture that they moved is ruined. As far as the price with PODS, it was reasonable. One of my PODS have to go to Nebraska, and I felt it was a good price for the distance it was going.

The drivers listened to where I wanted to have the pod placed. I had a very good rapport with the drivers that I had. I had a series of deliveries and pick-ups and the only thing I was disappointed with was the timing in between them. Some of the timing was longer than I wished. I had too much dead time because they were busy. When I decided that I needed the pod for an additional day, I tried to set up another schedule online but by that time, it was too late in the day. So it might extend me out for a day or two more.
I wish the timing in between the pick-up and deliveries was a little smoother and not as much time. But the issue could have been on my end too because I didn't schedule it soon enough during the day. Or maybe PODS needs to tell you exactly what time frame would be better to reschedule in order to get it the next day. But overall, I had a good experience all the way around with the deliveries and the pick-ups. Everything went really smooth in getting everything booked and setting up the payment.

When we moved from Youngstown, Ohio to Tampa, Streetsboro was a storage location. Leo, the driver, dropped off two containers at our house and took two containers back up to Streetsboro. When they were dropping off the pod at first down in Youngstown, they brought the 16 footer down. For the next pod, I wanted a 12 footer but they didn't have any so I went with the 8, which was okay. PODS kept it for a short period of time. Luckily, we bought a house down here so they didn't keep it very long.
When I had a scheduled date and a time, it was usually from eight o'clock to 12:00 or from 12 o'clock to 4:00. But there was a driver down here that called me before seven o'clock. He woke me up and told me that he was gonna be there in 20 minutes. With the distance and the traffic down here in Tampa, I wouldn't have been there. I would only be able to get to my house in about 40 minutes and I told him I couldn't make it. He ended up canceling my pod because he couldn't bring it earlier. That threw us off to where we had to get into communication with PODS locations in the offices and talking to people about what happened. But all the other drivers like Leo up in Streetsboro were good people. I was a little bit worried over a couple items that were in there but everything went well. It's very expensive though.

When I needed a pod, I checked a few different companies and PODS was the easiest and most reasonably priced. Booking over the phone was very easy. I was pleasantly surprised. Then they came out for what I had scheduled for the delivery and pickup and the driver was pleasant. I would recommend PODS.

My experience with PODS was simple. I went online and scheduled a drop-off. We did it for a renovation. We were redoing our floors and we were doing tiles, so we had to have complete rooms cleared out. The pod was our extra space to store furniture out. My husband was home for the drop-off, and he said PODS was a bit earlier than the window of time scheduled, but it was fine. We had the pod for a month, then I scheduled the pickup on the phone, but before I did a pickup, I called. I had a question and they answered it. I would definitely recommend PODS.

The people that did our floors recommended PODS. I booked over the phone and my experience was very easy. They were right upfront as to what the cost would be, and they were right on the button. They sent out their emails about timing, then they dropped off the pod at my house when we were having our garage painted and new floor put in it. The reps were friendly and very helpful. They called ahead of time as I asked them to do before they delivered it so I could be there, and they showed me how to work it. The pod was there for about a week, then they picked it up on the day and the time that they indicated they would and it was fine.

The booking experience online was kind of confusing. I ended up booking it twice and they sent me two confirmed dates. I had to call them and say I only want them once. I requested for a 16-foot container, which was the bigger size they have, but it ended up being a problem because all my stuff wouldn't fit in it. According to their website, it should have and I spoke to somebody at one time and I described it and they said a 16-foot ought to be fine. But all of my stuff didn't fit in it, so I had to rent a local storage and get family members to come and rent a U-Haul and take some of the stuff to a local storage because there was no time to get another pod.
The lady who dropped off the pod was fine but the guy who picked it up was horrible. I rented blankets from them and we put them back in the pod as I was told to do. I had a couple of blankets that were from U-Haul that the packer people just kind of left and the driver from PODS said he couldn't take them. I told him I was not home and to just leave them in my driveway. He took all the blankets out of the pod and dumped them in my driveway -- all the 24 I had rented, and there were three from U-Haul. He was only supposed to leave the couple that were U-Haul. The PODS people went back and forth. The lady on the line talked to her supervisor, the driver, and the warehouse people. I told her they better not charge me for this stuff because they got a stupid driver that left them all here. She said I was not gonna be charged for them and that was the end of it. They didn't do anything about it. My experience was all good up until then.

Do NOT use this service! My family had multiple issues with this company, and the customer service was absolutely horrible. They charged an extra $400 when the pick-up date for filled container was moved back a few days, even though I asked specifically on the phone whether there would be an additional charge and was told no. They missed the delivery date not once but TWICE, so my elderly parents were left without their belongings for 3 weeks. No reason was given when called repeatedly, and was hung up on twice. Very expensive service. My husband and I used U-Haul moving and storage, and had no issues.

I loaded my pods and had them stored in Michigan for almost a year until I could decide where I would move. Once I figured it out, I called PODS and had them shipped across the country. It was a lot of information. The lady quoted, quoted, quoted. It was fast. But we got it figured out. Moving is expensive anyway, no matter who you use. But their pricing was expensive. I could have filled two and half to three pods, where I only filled two. To carry this extra stuff, I would need another pod and it would cost me X amount of dollars for that. This stuff is only worth half of that. So, I might as well throw this stuff away or give it away and buy it at the other end because it's cheaper. But they did what they promised. They stored the stuff. They picked it up on time.
Had a little issue when it came to delivery because I had the pods shipped across the country to Mesa, Arizona, and PODS was supposed to be able to call and have the pod delivered within 24 hours. So when I needed the pods delivered because it was all dependent upon carpet, paint, moving, movers, furniture delivery and other stuff, I needed the pods delivered on Tuesday. When I called to have that done, they said, "We're backed up two weeks." I said, "So, I can't have my pods delivered for two weeks?" "Yeah. This is a busy season."
I told them that was not what they promised me when I hired them . I was supposed to be able to get the pods delivered within 24 hours. But they said, "Yeah. It's too busy." I complained. Somebody called me back the next day. We got the pods delivered on the Wednesday, the day after I looked to have them delivered, which worked out fine. Their customer service was good. They worked with me when I had an issue.

We moved and we used PODS. We moved my mother to one house, and then my stepdaughter and her family to the other house. We were flipping houses, so we each had pods and timing the pods to have them flip so that we could get all moved in. The drivers were great. And the ease in calling to have them picked up and delivered made everything effortless. When we tried to book the pods online, there was an issue, and we couldn't arrange it. I wasn't sure if we were in the right area. There were some complications, so we had to talk to a customer service representative who was very helpful. She was slightly confused, but we ended up getting what we needed to get done and everything worked out great.
As far as the containers, we got the 16 ft ones for both households. They were big. We didn't get everything inside but the heavy steps that needed to be moved was in there. My husband just turned 60, so for him to do all of that moving or the majority of it would have been impossible. So, it was great. I understand why they were very cautious about where they would put the pods because of the size and being able to pick them up. We had to pay an extra fee because they were dropping it on a gravel drive than a regular concrete drive, but they were very great at explaining why. They explained it beforehand, which was nice because they even asked what kind of driveway was it. So, they were very thorough. It just sucks that you have to pay that extra fee even though it's still solid.
Overall, PODS was incredibly helpful and you could do things in your own time. When you get regular movers, you're on their time. Although sometimes, you get the movers with people to help you. That's one thing. But when you get a U-Haul truck, you gotta get that truck back. So, going with PODS was better. The price was very reasonable, too.

I used the largest pod since we moved from a three-bedroom house. But we didn't take any living room or dining room furniture. We took one bedroom and two little cabinets, then we had boxes. They delivered a pod then we packed it and they transported it. PODS was very helpful and secure. They wouldn't even take my credit card. I had to be transferred over to an automated thing, then I had to use passwords every time I called them.

When I needed to move, PODS was the first place I went to. I used one of the large moving pods from New York to South Carolina. When the pod arrived, I was fine with it. But when I completed the move and was unloading it, I realized that some of the cross braces inside came unsecured. The nails that held it in place came out so they all shifted. Only a few of my things got a little bit damaged but I was surprised that the supports gave way. But I'd still recommend PODS to friends. I would provide the phone number for the person I worked with. Her name is Ivy and she's down in the Florida office. She was great.

We needed to move and we weren't sure where or when we were gonna move. My wife and I are middle-aged and the thought of trying to pack all of our stuff into a moving truck in a single day was something we couldn't physically or mentally handle. I had seen a commercial for PODS, where they would drop off a container at your house and you could pack it at your leisure. Since it was a local move across town, I figured it would be the way to go. I got on their website and we saw the prices were affordable and we could take our time packing it right. That's the route we went and it worked beautifully.
We weren't home when they dropped off the pod at the place we were moving from but I talked to the rep and he put it right where we wanted it. Then, as far as when they dropped it off at our house, they set up right when they said they would and he dropped it right where we wanted it, without a problem. It was kind of a tight fit but he got it in there. And he came back and got it without a problem. I'd tell others my experience went great and the cost was right about where it should be. I would highly recommend it.

I liked PODS' price. Also, the website was very user-friendly. The container was clean, the right size, and easily accessible. When PODS picked it up and delivered it to our new location a week later, everything was in the same place it was when it left our driveway of our old home. They delivered it to our old home the date and time that they said they would be there. They picked it up from our old home the date and time that we had arranged. And they delivered it to our new location the date and time that I had arranged online after we moved in. It was amazing how they maneuvered their vehicle with the container on the back of it. It's 16 foot. And we live in neighborhoods. Everything was done perfectly. I have recommended them to several other people that I have talked to, that if they need just for a remodel or storage purpose or they're moving, I highly recommend PODS.

We had a great experience with PODS. The delivery and pickup were perfect. I did it online and when it got complicated because we had to store some things on the east coast while we were still on the west coast, I got on the phone with them. They were super helpful on the phone and made it very simple. They knew exactly what we needed and how to make it happen. Everything was excellent but I was little shocked at how much it was gonna cost to get us over here. The service is ridiculously expensive. They were saying there was a 20% discount but it cost over $20,000 to get our stuff from the west coast to the east coast then it costs $300 per pod per month for storage, and we had three pods. But they were willing to do everything staggered, which was super helpful. At the beginning, we only needed one then we needed two. We didn't have to pay for all of them until we started using them.

I've used PODS for a couple of different moves. I wanted an alternative to traditional moving companies because I had horrible experience with that type of a move and I heard about the concept of PODS and then called and booked it. The first time I used them was when I moved from New York down to Florida. It was a 2021 pick-up and 2022 delivery. Then, I just used them moving back to New York from Florida.
Everybody -- down to the guys who dropped the pod off and picked the pod up, has always been super friendly and helpful. Also, their online process is very easy. I had to talk to a human when I needed to change the drop-off address but they've always been super easy to deal with and get ahold of. And I like that I can go online and take a look at my dashboard. That's really very easy to use. I've mentioned PODS to several friends and acquaintances that are getting ready to do moves. To me, it's like the only game in town. It's a very solid company and very pleasing.

The person who scheduled the pickup and drop-off was easy to communicate with and easy to reach back when I had questions. The drivers each contacted us before pickup and before drop-off. They came right at the time when they said they were going to. They worked around whatever you would say and situations on the driveway. They were very easy to work with.
The cost was in line with any other freight company. We moved my mom from Florida to North Carolina and when we moved up here from Florida a few years ago, we used ABF. The cost and convenience were comparable in every way. We just had a bigger load to move at that point and ABF was a whole semi-truck. That worked better at that point but the pod was perfect for what we were doing this time. I love PODS. They did everything they said they were gonna do, exactly when they said they were gonna do it. It was an excellent experience.

I used them for a move out of state and they did storage. I booked the PODS online and then they helped me over the phone with some issues. We went over the issues and got them solved. It was pretty easy. We got the largest container size and we got everything in there that we needed. It was clean and it was easy to get in and out of. Also, the drivers were great and everything was on the spot with the billing. I only had one broken item and that was a very thin vase and that's fine. I would use them again.

I needed pods for a couple of months because I had flood damage in my house. I got two smaller pods and they were excellent. They're clean, they don't leak, and your personal items will not get damaged in them. Also, the delivery person was the same person that picked up and he was absolutely wonderful.

Wonderful experience using a pod. It arrived with notification on schedule. Work was completed quicker having all the furniture removed. Pick was on done on an earlier date with no problem. Very professional. The only bad thing is that I had to pay for a 30 day rental and only used for 7 days. Otherwise everything went smooth.

I've seen other companies, like MYBOX, but when I was looking to get a rental, PODS was the first one that popped into my head. Their price didn't seem egregious. It was a great value, and I didn't even have to shop around. It was super easy to go online and book as well. The platform was very user-friendly, and I had no issues at all. It was very clear and concise and I got a follow-up phone call or email to confirm the time and date of the drop-off. It might have taken me all of 5 to 10 minutes from start to finish.
We had an issue with the door falling off the track. That happened when my father-in-law was around. I didn't see if it was a user error or if the unit was just worn out, but I submitted a ticket, then PODS came out within a day. They got it right on the track within 15 minutes and it was fixed. It was fantastic. I could close the door, and I didn't have to worry about the weather anymore. I very much appreciated it. I can promise that if I ever need something again, PODS will be my first choice.

I moved from one end of the state to the other. Mileage-wise, it was about 700 miles, and all the delivery people and the drivers were super exceptionally cool people. PODS arrived as scheduled. Contact with individual doing transport of the pod was accurate on arrival time. Had to contact pods several times. There was issues as far as billing which I was charged for as to something that wasn't in my control but pods issue... Wasn't too happy with being charged for something that was out of my control.

We have used PODS for two moves now. Once for a move a couple hours away and another for a move 700 miles away. In both instances, PODS made the move smooth and our stuff arrived in great condition. I highly recommend PODS whether you are just making space for some renovations or moving across the country.

I used PODS for my international move (Canada to the US). It was a great value for the money, and the customer support for my questions was fantastic. The only minor issue is that the online portal did not have any useful info for international moves, so I had to rely on calling frequently to confirm details. Example: I changed moving dates and would still get confirmation emails that a truck was coming; this is an issue with their system on international moves.

Great experience from my first phone call to drop off at my new location there is nothing that could have gone any better. On top of that the cost is better than moving companies and I knew where my belongings were all the time. I will definitely use them again.

The whole experience was mostly good. The pricing and charges was another thing. My 30 day ended on Sunday and they try to charge me an extra month because they would need to pick it up on Monday. The charges are not clear, at the end I figured out that there was a charge for dropping off the POD, a charge for the time left at our place and then a charge to pick it up. As if you had the option not to have them pick it up.

Having the pod sitting in our driveway allowed us to pack a little bit each day and move it out as we had time. Saved us a lot of time and money with the professional movers for the big, difficult stuff. I also got to play a big real life game of Tetris. The drivers that moved the POD around were very experienced and did a great job maneuvering the very large loading vehicle. I was very impressed!

PODS guided me from start to finish. PODS offered help when no other company would! Customer service asked me what size pod I needed. I asked what are sizes do they have. They told me the sizes. I told them I don't think I need a large one. I chose the small container. They asked when I wanted the POD delivered. I told them the date. I asked how much it was going to cost me. I was told how much it would cost me for the large container.

The POD was used store everything in our garage so that we could get the floor coated. It proved to be the perfect solution for temporary storage. It could be positioned close to the garage on the driveway which made moving our garage contents very easy. It is possible to lock the container, but you will need to provide the lock. Delivery and Pick-up of the POD was done within the time indicated.

We contacted POD to move our household goods from Texas to Florida and once we agreed on dates we got ready for their arrival. The first POD (8x16) arrived on time and we started to fill it. We decided we did not need the second 8x16 and downsized to the 8x8 which was fine. It arrived and we loaded it. They arrived on time to pick up and delivered on time in Florida. I Followed all of the packing instructions and strapped things down in sections and everything arrived just as I packed it. Each Pods driver was on time and there were no extra costs or hidden fees. It’s also fun to watch podzilla. All of the neighbors got a kick out of it too!

Although the Drop and Pick in Savannah was very timely, my experience with Drop and Pick from the Suwanee location was not timely when I needed the Pod deliveries or pickups. My understanding is there are not enough employees at that location. The delays cost me additional storage fees. The drivers were very courteous and professional when dropping and picking Units.

We were extremely pleased with our Pods experience.. Customer service was very thorough in setting Our expectations. Delivery was very timely, pick up of empty pod took longer than expected but that was the only slight negative we experienced. We moved from Connecticut to Florida and the pod Arrived when expected and in very good condition, we felt with the price and logistics this was by far our best option for a move. It worked out well for us to take the time we needed to load the pod (we rented the largest).

There was a pricing issue when I had to reschedule, but through my persistence it was resolved. The representative wanted to assess me an extra month rental even though the time period, ie number of days did not change.

I sold my house and moved to temporary accommodations for four months, when I found a new home 20 miles away PODS wouldn’t move my container, because they told me it was out of the service area…. I paid a premium in monthly storage compared to local storage in order to prevent me from moving twice. If I knew that I was restricted to certain areas I wouldn’t have used the service in the first place.

If I can give them 0 stars I would. I will never use PODS again. It's been a nightmare from start. I moved from Florida to Texas. Paid them for the first transactions to transport my stuff to texas. 5 days later they went into my account again and took the fees again. When I called to ask why was I being charged a second time they say oh it was a computer error so an error taking out an extra $714.00. No, I don't think so, mind you I already paid $2900 for the transporting and then the first $714. Ok my money go back into my account. I check my account again. Here it is. They took $224 out of my bank account.
This time I call. I spoke with a manager. He tells me it was another error so he refunds the money back to me. Now when it's time to have it dropped off to my new location because I had it stored for 1 month do you know they would not release my property because they wanted me to pay that $224 back that they had no reason to take out my account so I paid it. Here it is 2 months later July 22nd 2024. I still don't have my property. They keep telling me it's gonna be delivered this day then this day. At this point I reached out to a lawyer because me and my kids Been sleeping on air mattress when I have a Pod full of furniture. I would never use Pods in my life. They are a rip off company.

My PODs experience was stressful and the service was very disappointing. They give you a 3 hour delivery “window” to plan around. They only estimate when they will deliver, giving themselves 3 hours of wiggle room. I needed 2 large pods delivered to my storage unit on July 1, 2024. I live out of state and booked a 2-night stay at a local hotel to take care of this matter. The manager at the storage facility reluctantly agreed to let me have the pods delivered to my storage unit on my promise that both pods would be removed that same day, as they would be blocking access to two other storage units. I paid PODs an extra $430.84 for this service. The two delivery “windows” were that morning. The first one was delivered around 8:30am and the second one was delivered around 10:30am.
Not knowing the exact time that these pods would be delivered, I arranged for a moving company to move my belongings from the storage unit to the pods that same afternoon. The moving company also gave me a “window” of noon-4pm, and arrived at about 2pm. Before the movers even showed up, representatives from PODs called wanting to pick up the pods. I asked them to delay the pick up because the pods had not been loaded yet. All I needed was a couple of extra hours to get the pods loaded, but PODs was not flexible enough with their 3-hour “windows” to give me that extra time to get them loaded.
After numerous phone calls, my pods were rescheduled for pick up at a later date. Initially, they wanted to reschedule the pick up for 2 days later, but I told them that was unacceptable because I needed them picked up the same day because I only had one more night reserved at the hotel, I paid extra money for the same day pick up, and also because of my promise to the manager of the storage facility.
The manager at PODs finally agreed to pick up the pods the following day. The manager at the storage facility threatened to have the fully loaded pods towed if they weren’t removed by the end of the second day. The pods were loaded and ready to be picked up by 3:15pm that same afternoon. If their schedule had really been flexible, then Pods could have been picked up that same day. One was removed around 10:30am and the second one was finally removed around 3:30pm the next day, July 2, 2024. I am unhappy that I paid an extra $430.84 for the same day pick up and did not get that service. Instead, they were picked up a day later.

We were very happy using PODS for both long term storage and shipping our household goods. The drivers were very prompt and made sure to place the PODs exactly where requested. There was no damage to any of our items. We also had easy access to our POD while it was in their warehouse. The only drawback was it took a while for them to schedule our drop off & pick up because they are so busy!

Horrible experience! Delivery was fine but when it was time to terminate my service, it was a mess. I wish I would have thoroughly done my research because terminating services has been the same for most of PODS customers. If you have money to give away, rent from PODS because they will purposely delay pickup just to charge you an additional month because as their policy states... they do NOT prorate and for whatever reason they can cancel or delay (yes, at their discretion) pick up and they can charge you that monthly fee plus pick-up charges.
So you have paid for something that you no longer have access to. I would understand if the cancelation or delay was my fault, but it was the company that canceled and reschedule multiple times just so my payment cycle could start over. A lesson learned. I can NOT and will NOT recommend this company to anyone. Invest your hard-earned money on another company or in yourself. We live and learn and PODS is definitely on my "DO NOT WASTE MONEY/TIME" list.

PODS does the climate-controlled storage. Most of the reps were nice. But I faced some issues with getting different information from the various reps throughout my experience. It was around scheduling and getting my pod delivered to my final address. where we went back and forth. I ended up sorting it out. But I would get one version from somebody and told something else from someone else and I would call back. I got different versions of how to move my pod to the right place. That was the most hectic and chaotic part that PODS could improve upon. But the drivers for drop-off and pick-up were both great. They stuck to their windows.

PODS was great. I would do it again. I tried doing it online but I found it easier to call them. And I spoke to someone over the phone and it was much better that way. The rep was able to offer me better deals. And he gave me better pricing than I would have got if I was online. They were cheaper. And as far as the storage goes, it was convenient to have at a location right here where I am. Online, they have the little gimmick thing that I could tell them what they would take and it fits it in. But I went over it with him and he also agreed that I just needed the smallest one.
The only thing that I knock them on is that there are three size pods. There's the 8 foot, the 12 foot and the 16 foot. But if you're moving out of state, they only let you take the 8 or the 16. They don't offer you the 12, which I would have taken the 12. But the 12 is only if you're moving in state. If you're moving out of state, they don't let you use the 12. Why? I don't know. As it turned out, I was able to use just the smallest one. I didn't think everything would fit in there. But that's the other thing. We used a service that they offer for services to pack the pod on their website. I looked at the reviews for all of them. And the one I chose, they did a great job. They fit everything in perfectly, nothing broke. I used them again to unload when I got here, and they were good.
Both of the guys that picked up and dropped off were great. They were very friendly, and had great customer service. I got a text from PODS. "Are you happy, everything good?" And that was fine. I could have responded if there was anything negative. The people that I used to unload also called me to make sure everything was good on both occasions.

I ordered PODS right before a kitchen remodel. We had a water leak in our house and we were without a kitchen for two years. I was in a dispute with the insurance company who refused to give us enough money to do the repairs to the kitchen and the master bathroom. After waiting a year and a half, I decided to bite the bullet and get a pod here and keep things in the driveway so we could access things from the kitchen. PODS cost quite a bit but my things were safely stored. With all the rains that we had this last winter, nothing got wet. I had a large pod put in the driveway and the guys were so expert, both coming into the driveway and leaving. It was impressive. They came when they said they would and the fee to pick stuff up was reasonable. I would use them again. I had a very favorable experience and they were professional and did what they said.

I started the booking online and finished it on the phone. I requested for the smallest pod that they had and used it for transporting items from one end of the country to the other. We rented it for a few weeks to do that. Their drivers are some of the friendliest people. They were very happy to do their job and they were very helpful. I got the largest container that they have and the quality was good. I used their services to store some furniture. Everything was good. But PODS charges you for the lot. They should provide a lot for that with the amount that they got. Regardless of the size of the container, they should give the lot for free. Also, they need to get bigger containers.

I called the PODS number and told them what I needed, and the gal that answered the phone was very helpful and got it all set up for me. She was willing to help no matter what. My move wasn't gonna just be a pickup here and drop-off there. I had to store it, and I had certain days, and she worked with me fabulously. I had received a couple of estimates from all-service moving companies who would come in and pack everything up for me and move it, so I was shocked at that amount of price that they were giving me. It was like $3,500 and it was awful. So, I was very happy with the pricing that I got from PODS. That's why my kids said, “No, mom. Just go with PODS. We can help you move.”

This was a total debacle from the first day. I ordered a pod and had it delivered; tried to set up a day for them to pick it up but they didn’t have days available to come move it to the new house. We called them multiple times to try and find a resolution. They simply did not have enough drivers to do the job they set out to do. Our things arrived at our new house 2 1/2 weeks after we closed, meaning our stuff sat on someone else’s property for a long period of time. Because of the delay in picking up the pod, we were forced to pay a second month's rent for the pod. This is an absolutely terrible business experience and I would not recommend this company to anyone.

It was easy with PODS and the price was good. I had a pod put in my driveway. I was doing some remodeling and it held my belongings until I was done with it. Then, I left one of my most prized possessions inside and luckily, the driver went and checked. He found it for me and he was awesome and went above and beyond. Terrible experience!!! Hidden fees and messed up booking software! To add to this what was quoted to me was $615 and I’m now paying $1,300 due to hidden and not clearly disclosed fees. Also I booked and confirmed POD return for July 12 as I do not want to pay for another rental month (which is July 14) and the day before the pick up, the date changed to 22 July and no one in customer service can assist me! Now I have to block my credit card so I don’t get charged another $615 on the 14th. Moving is already hectic and stressful and PODS just made it intensely worse. Never again!

Pods was the perfect solution for our overseas move. We needed to start packing our home without renting an offsite storage service. Pods dropped right on our driveway and we were able to start packing and labeling our home items. As soon as the overseas container was dropped off, we had an excellent system of transferring the items from the house, to Pods, to the container. I had a military family member needing help moving his stuff across country, so I called PODS. I talked to the technical support, Drew, then the one in sales and billing, Ken. They were both great and very helpful. They were very nice to deal with and what they said was exactly what happened. Everything was explained perfectly and the process was easy. The pod went all the way from Ohio to Seattle, Washington and once they took it away, they shipped it in a couple days. And it was there a week later. I highly recommended PODS and I would use them again in a instant. It's the best way to move. You touch your own stuff, you pack it in there, then they come and get it.

I ordered a pod because of my situation and I regret everything about it! They didn’t honor their contract price, they disregarded my coupon that I had presented and after charging me $901 for 48 total days of storage with 2 pick ups and 2 deliveries. I tried to use the 25% off but the CSR stated he had a better deal —- after all was said and done. With their “regular price” the total would have come out to $814.00 for the two months — with the coupon price it would have been $610 and change…. I am not asking for all my money I’m asking to honor the deal — they refused and closed my case… Do NoT trust or use this company unless you have a lot of money and just don’t care where it goes… would have been cheaper to hire 2 movers and a storage unit!

We moved a shipload of household furniture from Arizona to Boston and I needed to store the furniture for four months. A friend of mine told me that if I was gonna move things cross-country, PODS is the most economical way to do it and everything went wonderfully. I talked with somebody when I first set up an account and the rep asked me all the right questions. We got the right thing lined up and she told me exactly what to expect and what to do. Also, it was easy to change pickup and delivery dates online. They were very careful about letting me know timetables and dates and they provided options for moving crews that I could hire. I'd recommend them to anybody. They were really incredibly efficient and the price was so wonderful compared to a moving company moving cross-country. And storing for five months, you can't beat the price.

We liked PODS’ reputation and booking a pod with them online was very straightforward. We used a single pod to do a household contents move and it was very weather-resistant. But the roof was very rough. It had a stucco-type finish, which was probably required because of the way the pods were made. But as a user, it would have been nice if that was smooth.
A definite positive was that when the pod was delivered, the driver made sure that we could get the door open, which at first was not possible. We had to tilt the pod to do a minor adjustment on one piece of furniture that had moved close to the door and was blocking it. He facilitated getting the pod open. Otherwise, a callback would have been required. But all was good. The driver was very positive and professional. The only question I had was whether I had to prompt them for final delivery or if it would be transferred from city to city on my own. I called in and a person clarified what the website meant when it gave me a message I didn't understand.

The overall service was OK, in regards to booking, delivery and picking up the POD. But they are a bit misleading when they say airconditioned space. A lot of the items came back with mold. Obviously ruined. I won't be using PODS again for this reason. Items included books, shoes, clothing, etc.

US Service Members Beware: I am a US military service member and got 2 year overseas orders. We had Pods pick up our stuff in SC and it was stored there as well. We paid $490 a month. Upon return to the states they are charging us an additional $1500 to move the pod from SC to NC. Nowhere in the contract communicates that it will cost that much to move it, only that some long distance delivery fees will apply. I could imagine if we were moving to CA or TX. When talking to customer service they blamed me for not know where I was going after my overseas orders had been completed and said there was nothing they could do. I hate it when companies take advantage of service members and this is what it seems to me.

PODS’ pricing was better than renting a Ryder truck once it was all finished and I didn't have to worry about driving. Plus, it was more convenient. I started booking online and I then talked to the reps from PODS on the phone. Everybody I talked to was great. You call through each phase, to deliver the pod, to get the pod picked up, to have the pod shipped and to have the pod delivered to your new home. And each one, you call and set up an appointment and have it all done. Everything went smoothly. We got one large pod and we thought it was gonna be small, but everything fit. It was perfect.
I downloaded the app and it was informative. It gives you where it was located at any given moment. The drivers were great and they were doing things with those pods that I didn't figure they could even do. When the driver delivered it, he put it right where I wanted it and didn't damage any of the lawn. It was quite good. It was a challenging location where we had it delivered because the house sits on a hill that drops off and he put it in a good place. I probably should have done better with the padding. We rented a POD for much, much longer than we had originally intended. There were two scheduled pick-ups that needed to be changed and rescheduled last minute - no problems at all, the process was simple and quick. The delivery and pick-up was problem-free, and we live in a very rural area, making the maneuvering somewhat challenging - but again, no problems and absolutely no complaints. While we definitely hope that we won’t have a future need for this kind of storage, we would absolutely use PODs again. Thank you, PODS.

We have been a customer since 22. Overall moving experience has been great. Had 5 containers in storage for 2+ years. Was surprised that we didn’t get a larger discount due to our storage duration, when we had a pod delivered, etc. We would recommend PODS to others for sure, delivery guys were amazing.

Pods performed as they projected. Explained the procedures clearly deliveries and pickups were at the time they projected. My goods arrived safe and sound on the day they had said. I had no problems. Workers' words were polite and considerate. I would recommend them again.

Sold one house and bought another, but there was three weeks in between moving in and moving out. Using PODS was the perfect solution - load once (at my pace and convenience), store at their air conditioned warehouse (so no storage unit to deal with) until ready to move on, and then unpack once! The whole process from beginning to end was quick, easy, and accurate. I would definitely use PODS again and recommend them to anyone!

The last 16 ft Pod I rented was falling apart. Patches all over. Bolts missing. Very few hooks for straps. Roof looked like it was about to fall off. Unsightly sitting in my community. This pod should have been scrapped. It was poor advertisement for anyone who saw it. Mentioned it to the driver, and he said that was what he was given to deliver.

I can't say enough about the PODS service... They were prompt in dropping off the POD in the Poconos and right on time with drop off and pickup in Orlando. Both drivers were very professional and asked where I would like it dropped. Best $2,500 I have ever spent... The furniture, clothes and boxes were exactly as we loaded them, nothing moved, nothing was broken. The Customer Service was very polite & helpful also, they actually told me which size I needed and they were correct to the last box, lol.

Overall good experience. Customer service lied to me in our first conversation about everything in my house. I explained that I have a fully furnished 3 bedroom house, included the square footage. Customer service assured me that one pod would be plenty. I was told I only needed one large pod. I needed 2 large. When I called back to order another pod, they were very helpful and gave me a good discount. They recommended a good list of packing companies. PODS can be a few thousand dollars less than a moving company if you pack and load on your own.

I ordered a POD online just a couple of days after Hurricane Ian destroyed our community & home. The website was easy to navigate, explained what to expect accurately, & options were ideal. The drop off &, ultimately, the pickup/return, was as promised & placement instructions were followed as noted on the order. Payments were made online so everything was easy & convenient. The POD option was a major help to us- a relief for onsite storage for the past 21 months while our community & home were being cleaned up & rebuilt. I would use this option again & have recommended PODS to everyone. Thank you!

Started out great, pod was delivered as stated on date stated. Then when it was time to pick up pod unit and start its journey to another state the pickup time was delayed twice that day then finally cancelled. So we were leaving the next day to fly to MA and the pod didn't get picked up for 2 days later than originally scheduled. So that meant the delivery to new location was going to be 2 days later than planned. The problem was needed possessions were in the pod so was inconvenienced without much needed stuff 2 day longer than was originally told it would arrive. The delivery man and pick up man were extra nice and very professional. I think the communication between drivers and customers needs to be improved. It left a lot to be desired.

PODS was excellent to deal with. The booking of the Pod was very simple. The agent was knowledgeable of the delivery site. They were obviously using a Google Map type app to know the locations. The agent as pleasant cheerful and comforting. PODS delivered a clean POD on time and picked up on time for both the delivering - pickup - redelivery & repickup. The delivery guys were great to work with. Great care was taken to place the container as conveniently as possible to still allow us good access to our home. Overall awesome service. I’d highly recommend PODS to anyone moving or needing their items safely stored on their own site or stored away at a POD depot. PODS provided good and reasonable flexibility with the definition of the number of days we had the POD at our home and for while it was in Storage.

I used two PODS to move from Maryland to Texas. The process was easy to order and they answered all my questions when placing my initial order. The delivery was a very easy process as was the pickup. I stored the PODS with them for several months before having them delivered to my Texas home. The delivery and pick up to my Texas home was a very easy process. I was not even home when the PODS were picked up in Texas. Over PODS made the process was very easy and comfortable considering moving is normally a difficult process. Overall very good experience. Very well priced and can pack basically anything in the pod, no additional cost, which is definitely a factor in my decision to use them. Customer service can be difficult at times. Called multiple times to double check that order was received and stated there was multiple orders under my name. During the moving process contacted customer service and was given multiple different answers. The gentleman that came to my house to drop off and pick up the pad were awesome. Took very good care of my property so I had nothing to worry about. I would definitely use PODS again.

We were preparing to move and PODS allowed us to: A. Remove extra furniture to improve real estate listing and showings, B. Allowed us to load boxes/items over several days rather than in one time frame and C. Only load/unload items once versus a storage unit or friend’s shed. Communication was great from the emails, phone calls, and in-person messages.

I will recommend PODS to everyone I know, they are not only friendly but know their business, received our container the way we packed it! The way they handled the container from delivery of and pick up to deliver from SW Florida all the way to Long Beach, California. We were able to drive our own car without worrying about driving a moving truck and pulling our car, nor did we need to worry about our belongings, we had bought our own lock but when the container was delivered we discovered the lock was too big, the driver went into his truck and got a new lock at no extra charge, if that’s not going above and beyond, I don’t know what is.

I definitely loved using the pod. It was convenient and I didn’t realize how easy it would be to do a remodeling job with a pod in my own driveway. I was able to do it slowly, take out items myself with a help of a friend. I have originally hired Help, but they didn’t show up so I was able to just take out things slowly, even though I am older. I was also able to go back in and get items out. I can’t recommend using this company enough and will also use them definitely if I ever moved..

We have used PODS service twice within the last 5-6 years. My recent use was a 3 year contract. I felt the price was fair and service was excellent. The container was clean and stable, the delivery person was extremely helpful working with the rules on my condo complex and respectful of the property. Smooth delivery and return when needed within the window of time promised. I recommend them to all who need this type of service. I especially enjoyed watching "Podzilla" in action.

I received a quote online from an overseas person. The initial quote increased and then eventually decreased with a discount for the smallest pod to be shipped from the Fort Myers, FL, area to the Phoenix area with the hiring of a loader in Florida. The Pod was delivered on time in Florida and the loaders arrived on time and did an excellent job. The Pod was picked up and transported to the Phoenix area as agreed with no issues. As the pod was being moved my credit card was charged accordingly. It was only after the total move was made that I realized I was OVERCHARGED approximately $150.00 above the internet quoted price. I called PODS and they turned down my claim for the overcharge. MY ADVICE: USE PODS BUT GET A WRITTEN QUOTE OVER A VERBAL QUOTE OR YOU COULD BE OVERCHARGED!

They were to be at my house at noon but didn’t arrive until 6 PM. I finally called and was told they were delayed at the previous customer. When they arrived they had been smoking some kind of pot and they didn’t load the container right and they damaged several pieces of furniture and two class lamps were broken. Very disappointed with PODS THIS TIME. I will not recommend them.

Horrendous. Decided to give me a PODS with a soft plastic roof, stacked other PODS on top therefore broke, causes water damage and cracks in most of my things. Customer advocacy department is a nightmare to get a hold off, no updates on where pods was or delivery time. Customer service won’t help because I have to deal with customer advocacy department.

I wish I could give 0 stars. They completely screwed us over. We reserved our pod several months in advance to move across the country. They came to deliver the pod and apparently some power lines that hung over our driveway were slightly too low, so they just left and canceled our pod. They didn't even attempt to find another solution, despite us showing them another spot they could put it. They just canceled it immediately. We called to try to get them to deliver it again to another spot nearby, but they said too bad it was already canceled, and the soonest they could deliver it was a week later. Which was after our scheduled flights (also scheduled months ahead of time) and after we had to be out of our apartment. Absolutely unacceptable customer service, don't risk your move by booking with them.

We absolutely loved our experience using PODS. The only issue was the labor they recommend. We used the "Most Experienced" labor force they listed. The labor was terrible. Couldn't fit 1 small 1 bedroom 760sq ft house in the largest PODS container. They didn't use the supplied ratchet straps. And it took them 11 hours to pack the above house and a 20x24' garage, which they didn't get everything loaded into its own large POD. Then they left before the job was done, leaving us with an extra 2200 mile trip to return to gather the rest of our stuff. Not to mention storing it for a month and the hassles that come with that. Also broken items that had heavy stuff packed on top of them even with a walk through and marked boxes. Really wish PODS had their own labor force and/or vetted their outsourced labor better.

The Pod itself is what it is-a cube with a rolling door. No issues with that. However, we ordered the POD for store some office furniture while we renovate. We were asked our business hours, which we told them Mon-Fri 6:00am-5:00 BUT because we park our trucks in the yard when our employees return, we need to have the POD delivered before 3:00pm, that noon would be best. We then receive an email confirming delivery between 1:30-4:30. So that’s when it becomes frustrating. Trying to call them and get through their “vetting” process. First it’s all automated, so you have to listen to all the options before you are placed on hold for what seems like hours but really is about 15-20 minutes. Only to be told to “hold on” and another 10-15 minutes goes by and then an agent says, "Ok, we’re canceling the 1:30-4:30 appointment and scheduling you in for 12:30pm."
So the following day, out trucks are gone, we have the entire yard empty (no personal vehicles parked) and wait, and wait, and wait. At around 1:00pm I start calling and once again have to go through their “vetting” process over the phone, only to get frustrated with their automated system-which doesn’t have any “easy” option to get a representative on the line. Another half hour process for someone to tell me, "We’re trying to reach the warehouse, we’ll call you back."
An hour goes by-now it’s 2:00pm, and no one has called back. Once again we have to call and go through their ridiculous automated system. Finally we get someone on the line who says “hold on, I’ll check where the driver is”. We find out he’s in Brooklyn (NY) on his way back to the warehouse in Jamaica (NY). Where he then has to get the POD loaded onto the truck. They tell me “figure 4:00 by you”. So at 4:00 our trucks start coming back and we have to keep them in the street, double-parked, blocking traffic. I can’t tell you how many phone calls were made between 4:00 and 6:00pm before the driver called to say he was on the way. He arrived at 7:30pm! Not the driver's fault who was very professional, but at 8:00pm we’re parking our trucks. At this point we’ve been on site for 14 hours. It’s definitely time to go home.
I can only tell you that when it was time for them to pick up the POD-although it did not take as many phone calls, once again it was a frustrating experience trying to get them to pick up. First they needed the order number before they would talk to me. So trying to find an email that was 11 months old was not easy. You would think they’d find my order using a phone number, or name or address-but No-only with an order number. Then they say we owe them an additional $700+ when I know we’ve been on “auto pay”. Turns out they upgraded their system and hadn’t gotten the last 2 payments. But of course this wasn’t said at first-they kept telling us we owed them for 2 months. I hung up on them all frustrated and called back the following day.
Finally this rep explained that their system had been updated and we were not billed. Then trying to get them “locked” into a time 8:00am-3:00pm when we would have the yard empty so they can pick up. Eventually we had it picked up. Once again the driver was very professional but dealing with them over the phone-forget it. Would I use them again? I’d have to be very desperate.

James at Pods was very nice on the phone every time I called. Even if I had to leave a message he called back with in the hour. All of the delivery drivers was nice and concerned even they had to move the pod around. Always called before they showed up even they were picking up. I like the way they put a seal on each pod with the last name on it.

We used PODS to store personal belongings/furniture while selling our current home and moving into another. The sale closing timing was delayed and the move was already underway. PODS delivered quickly and the driver/rep was professional and helped with recommendations. We loaded, stored and unloaded our goods when the closing took place allowing for the move in. Much easier and efficient than renting a storage site. Pick up went as planned.

Working with PODS was a great experience. We needed to pack up my mother's house and bring some of her belongings north. It was easy to set up the deliver of the POD to her house. It arrived on time for us to pack and load. Several days later, they picked up the POD, trucked it north, and stored it until the winter weather broke and we could get it delivered to be unloaded. It took a week for them to return and remove the POD. I would have been happier to get it out of the driveway in less time as we could not use the driveway or get the car out of the garage. All in all, it was a great experience, and we would use them again. The costs were reasonable. They did exactly what we needed them to do, were easy to work with, and continued to stay in contact with us.

Quick and easy drop off and pick up. I needed a pod to store my shop in while I renovated my shop this year. It handled all my shop Tools and storage in my shop. Pods performed well with the shipping of the container and arriving on time. What they didn’t do was honor a 20% coupon that I had and not only did they not accept the coupon they charged me more to ship to Florida then for me to ship from Florida to New York. It was 40% more to ship from New York to Florida then to go the other way, which is price gouging because they can. I would never use pods again in the future based on their price structure.

Our experience with PODS was great. Booking was easy. I did it online. The site wouldn't let me change from one pod to two, but I called and they were super friendly and helpful. We had two large containers. They weren't enough, but it wasn't anybody's fault but our own. The movers estimated and it was close. I had to get a small rental space for some excess things. Otherwise, it was perfect. The delivery and the drop-off were flawless. The cost for storage was expensive compared to others, but you pay for quality.

I'm using PODS for storage and they were good. I live in Oklahoma and I'm a 100% disabled vet, so I'm tax exempt. It's just I couldn't get through their head that I shouldn't be paying sales tax on the top. It's almost indifferent. The person who came to set it up was outstanding. The manager over there is outstanding. The guy that came and picked the pod up was good. It was on a Saturday. You could tell he had a plate full because he was in a hurry. Overall, the local people were great. They were nicer over in Florida. They were respectful. We had a communication problem, but it's all right. I would recommend them any time. I will use them again if I need to.

The POD itself is excellent but it is hard to get a total cost invoice from customer service for insurance reasons. The agent did not provide good service and blamed it on his computer. I would definitely use the service again and tell people to do the same. The POD delivery was really excellent and it worked well.

I moved from San Diego California to High Point, North Carolina and I have to say by far PODS was absolutely amazing. Saved me over $10,000 going with them versus a traditional moving company. All my belongings arrived undamaged the customer service and the delivery men were absolutely amazing and friendly. I highly recommend them and would do it all over again.

We decided to move to a warmer climate and contacted a realtor with the understanding we weren’t ready to show just yet. Another realtor in the office had a client that very much wanted to purchase in our neighborhood. Long story short, we sold before we had a new home so Pods was a great solution to get everything packed at our convenience and have them store our possessions until we were ready.

The Pods were delivered on time at my old home, but I was told from the description of a 3 bedroom home to only order one large pod, it turned out NOT to be enough. We packed everything very well as per instructions. Then we ordered 2 small ones because one small one wouldn't have been enough. So I spent more $$$ than expected. It would have been better if the employee at PODS would have suggested 2 large pods. Then it was delivered to my new address very nicely. The locks I bought from you with a key, had an issue but we finally opened them.

Each customer has a different amount of belongings in different sizes, so we can’t guarantee a specific container size or amount will work for absolutely everyone. Our customers know their homes better than we do, so we hope our suggestions will help them get a better idea.

We had a great experience all around from customer service to cross country shipping of the pod. PODS gave us plenty of notifications and the pod shipped so fast! We would definitely use PODS again if we ever need to. It was worry free, all of the contents arrived safe and sound, and we were able to plan things based on our timeline.

Very happy with the whole PODS experience, I would definitely use pods again and I have told all my friends and relatives to use pods instead of a u haul. Price was a little expensive but I would go across country any other way. Should be a little cheaper, but I am a satisfied user of pods.

We needed to clear out our home for selling but couldn't bring our items to our new home yet so this perfect to have in our driveway till it was time for it to be picked up. The communication was amazing for drop off and pickup/drop off. Both drivers were incredibly kind and friendly! Our pickup driver took amazing care in picking up the Pod and getting it all ready for its trip! I watched the whole thing and was shocked at the attention he took! Every part of this experience was great and eased so much of our stress!
