I would never recommend this company. I was told one thing and others things came up like my delivery date estimated 2-10 days. Over 15 days pass and still no delivery.

Avoid this company at all costs. This was one of the worst service experiences I have ever had. The company took our business and then handed the move off to a cheap third-party carrier, leaving us to deal with poor communication, unprofessional carrier, unexpected fees, and missing furniture. After pickup, we received virtually no meaningful updates. Then, approximately two weeks later, a delivery company called and provided only about one hour's notice before arriving. Because we were traveling, we could not accept delivery. Rather than working with us to find a reasonable solution, we were informed that storage fees could be charged if delivery could not be completed.

I had a great experience with AmeriSafe Moving Services and Hudson Van Lines. From start to finish, the process was professional, organized, and stress-free. Communication was clear throughout the move, and everything arrived safely and on schedule. A special thank you to Amer and the crew from Dallas for their outstanding work. They were punctual, hardworking, courteous, and handled our belongings with great care. Their attention to detail and positive attitude made a potentially stressful move much easier. I'm Daniel. I was planning on moving like 300 miles away and I just had too much stuff to move on my own. I called a few places and ended up going with AmeriSafe Van Lines to help. They arrived when they said they would ready to work. I had already packed most of the small stuff in boxes. Then was the big stuff that I was worried about getting damaged. They did a great job of handling everything with care and loading it. Not only were they quick but also very efficient. Once everything was packed they made the trip to my new place and again nothing was damaged. They unloaded just as fast as they loaded and I was now able to feel safe in my new place. I would recommend them.

Without a doubt, the worst moving experience I have ever experienced. I was initially quoted just under $2,000 for a move from a one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment in Pittsburgh, PA, to Wilmington, DE (approximately 300 miles). When I spoke with Shannon, the representative, she assured me that delivery could be scheduled on the specific date I requested. Everything sounded straightforward, and I felt comfortable moving forward.

I’m going to keep posting reviews about this horrible company. They lied about literally everything. The people they had move and pack our stuff were totally incompetent. They broke everything they touched. They stole my rings right out of my jewelry box. Do not hire Amerisafe for your move. You’ll be sorry!!

Amerisafe Van Lines performed so poorly and caused so much angst, that I would never recommend them for a long distance move such as mine. We relocated from Florida to Ohio and from the very beginning of the process, we were deceived. I understood that Amerisafe was going to execute the move. Turns out they subcontracted my move to other companies. I contracted with Amerisafe to move my household and my car.

My name's Chris, Last week was exceptionally excellent with AmeriSafe Van Line helping me with a smooth move. They were exceptional in their customer service and took great care of my furniture from loading to unloading them. NOTHING was broken/damaged or torn. They were able to break down and assemble my bed frame so it could fit through doors. They brought what was needed in terms of blankets to make sure not a scratch was in sight on the apartment doors and blankets to cover down mirrors and TV screens. The courtesy call and the logistics were extremely helpful too. Highly recommend them to whoever is reading and for future moves! Thank you so much. I appreciate the team and getting the job done.

I called here thinking they were an actual moving company, paid 900.00 + only to find out they are a broker and are not friendly to work with. They gave my job to movers in NJ who picked up my belongings on May 7, 2026 and just received my belongings today June 4, 2026. I've been sleeping on a air mattress which is not good for my arthritis. United Pro Movers in NJ has great movers but the company sucks.

We had to get a few states over for my new job, not too big of a deal under normal circumstances but I tweaked my back about a month before we'd planned to move and my wife was due soon. Thankfully Amerisafe bailed us out. They did such a great job and were on time at our old house and the new one. Professional, really friendly, literally nothing was damaged! I hired these guys for a long distance move that I was worried about doing. They assured me that everything would be wrapped and secured professionally. I looked for a company for over 3 months that I was comfortable with. And when I say this company is the best moving company there is I mean it. #** I just recently hired Amerisafe to do a move for me from Jersey to Texas. The guys came in and taped all of my belongings and furniture, disassembled all 4 of my beds. The mattress even got covered. I thought it would take longer than it did. 2,200 square foot was loaded in less than 5 hours. It was amazing. When it came to drop off they took everything where we wanted it. All the furniture was assembled and trash was stacked neatly. They were so organized they even folded the moving blanket. I had no broken items. Go with this company and you can’t lose!

I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone at any cost. It's a total scam. For our move, they were to pick up our goods in one state and to deliver the goods at our new home in another state. The sales guy Colin needs serious training skills. He quoted us based on a 2200 SF house and said it would be 2200 cubic feet of goods. When the brokered moving company arrived (All Seasons Logistics LLC), it was an Eastern European guy with 4 young ** boys no older than 16yo. He said he needed another $5,000 for our move, that it was underestimated. Total racket. We had to pay because the next day was day of possession of the house to the new owner. They know this. They take advantage of it. On our move to the new home in another state, the driver (a different company, Stanford Van Lines) texted me and said it was a shuttle job so they needed another $3,400.

This has been one of the worst experiences I've ever had working with a company. BIG WARNING to anyone thinking of using them. Not only did we get charged 3x what was originally agreed on, they cancelled our car pick up THE DAY OF PICKUP. We are flying out 2 days from now, and the customer service rep said verbatim "You need to book with someone else". Two days before we leave. There are so many things wrong with how this company does business. Let's start from the top:

A representative by the name of Dean answered the phone and we began to discuss the move. After asking me questions related to my moving needs, he stated my quote would be around $15,000 and asked if that was something I'd be interested in.

Updated on 06/10/2026: Franke emailed me to try to get a resolution. He told me he would refund me half of my feet. I asked them to give me a full refund because I already paid 6 1/2 thousand to the Movers and $3000 and down payments or deposits to AmeriSafe. They sent me an email confirmation of a refund then to go remove my review from ConsumerAffairs only to find out that they canceled the refund. This is the type of company AmeriSafe is. I’m asking you guys to stay away from. They are fraudulent and fake.

This company helped me move my belongings from my last apartment to my new one. I was struggling to find good service and they provided just that. I was able to get everything I needed and move without hassle. They also didn’t take very long to respond. Making sure that I was priority is what I felt when contacting Amerisafe Van Lines. I had some precious items that I needed to be safely transported and they made sure to protect my belongings and make sure my experience was well. The customer service by this company is definitely 5 stars for me. They know what they are doing and they know how to please their clients. All of my stuff was handled with care. My dishes was wrapped in papers. My bed and everything was wrapped with protective materials. DO NOT HIRE AMERISAFE TO MOVE YOU ANYWHERE.... It was a horrifically horrible experience from start to finish. AmeriSafe contracts out their jobs, hiring anyone to move you. My movers were rude, destructive, disrespectful and threatening. They showed up at my home to load truck four hours late which affected my plans to travel. I had all of my fragiles and glass wrapped and boxed, they were supposed to give me a discount for this, they DID NOT. They destroyed a antique wooded rocking chair, leaving it in pieces. They broke several boxes of Christmas ornaments and sentimental decorations. They unwrapped my coach and chairs in their truck leaving dirty marks all over it. They threatened me that they would not give me my "stuff" if I did not give them a tip before they unloaded the truck. They were also very threatening and took advantage of me, raising their voice.

No matter what they quote, you expect to pay double. Quoted $8,300 originally and they show up and, in my opinion, extorted an additional $10,000. This is a round estimates and include a requested tip on top of the cost so they wouldn't charge extra for additional packing beyond what they as already charged. I feel they purposely underquote the job to get a signature and deposit. Then they show up and walk around the house and tell you this is going to cost more. What do you do when you have flights booked? Have to turn over the property after closing?

This is one of the best moving companies I ever use. They are very perfectionist. They come on time. They are very nice. I will recommend them to my whole family and friends.

We were referred to Amerisafe by a friend. He was so right! From the first phone call through the final delivery across the country, every aspect of our move went much more smoothly than we could have imagined. The sales rep, Leo, was extremely helpful. He understood that we had no idea what we were doing and made the process much less stressful. He never made us feel dumb and did not take advantage of our inexperience. The woman from Customer Service who finalized our contract, Winona, explained further, making sure we understood all aspects of the contract. As our move was not scheduled for a specific date, there was lots of time for us to come up with many more questions. Winona remained informative and, above all, patient with our frequent calls.

BEWARE of this company. They ripped me off for over $3,000. I contacted them when I was looking for movers. They demanded I pay in full to "secure my date," but assured me that if I chose another co. they'd refund my money. Four days later, I did choose another mover, but they refused to refund me and only gave back $2K of my $5K paid to them. They said I cancelled "outside their window." They NEVER told me there as any "window." I also discovered they purposefully way under bid my moving costs so they could charge huge up charges at the end. This company is a shady organization and should be avoided. DO NOT hire them. They will rip you off.

Amerisafe did reach out and offer compensation. Although I still stand by my review and experience, I am updating the star review to reflect the fact that they reached out and apologized.

I hired them to move my stuff and in the beginning they seemed good but after paying a dep then paying when they picked up they basically ghosted me. They didn't deliver my belongings for a month without communication until I started complaint then at the end of almost thirty days they finally delivered with broken items plus they left someone else's stuff so it was a terrible experience. Do not waste your money. They used a moving company called Vanguard and they were the actual movers that didn't care for my belongings as well as leaving me with stuff that isn't mine. I told them I needed my stuff and I was ignored completely. Total disregard for my situation.

I had a huge move from Massachusetts to California and used AmeriSafe Van Lines as my company. They were very responsive. I found them on Google and remember giving them a call and speaking with a person about my needs. When it came time for the move, they were very careful with my furniture. They wrapped everything appropriately and answered my questions. Took a few hours to get everything out and properly placed in the van but then we were on our way to the new home.

Three men did an outstanding job of sorting, packing and carefully loading my belongings. They we polite and professional.

Hired AmeriSafe for one reason - they guaranteed me that they would not use subcontractors. However, day of move, 2 subcontractors arrived at my house which was clearly contradictory to information they provided. AmeriSafe has since collected their portion of the total moving charge, but their communication is non-existent and they have washed their hands of making sure the customer is satisfied.

My furniture was packed March 11, 2026, and delivered April 19, 2026. In those 39 calendar days and 25 business days, I received exactly one call from Leo's secretary. All of my calls were answered by an answering service and I was given the same script each time, "We will let you know when the furniture will be arriving. You know we have 30 business days to deliver."

As a former director of Customer Service for a very large software company, I worked off an axiom that mistakes are made but that it's the resolution of those incidents that separate a quality company versus a disreputable one. After getting a phone call and genuine apology from the owner, I feel that a level of satisfaction that my previous maltreatment was addressed and that the issue was resolved. Ultimately, we have gone with another firm to move our household at the end of the month, but the sincerity of Frank ** and his staff was palpable in their apology, so I have raised my rating to 4 stars.

Be aware that they are a broker and not the movers. Keep in mind that the prices that they give you will not be your final cost as the actual movers will add substantial amount to their quote. On the day of the move, my final amount exceed over 4000 over what can line quoted me. Bag experience for me. If you can, find a direct mover and not a broker so that you won't have to pay the broker and the mover.

AmeriSafe provided a firm estimate for my son's move from TX to CA and contracted Rushmore Moving for the move. When the movers showed up, they said - "Nope. This isn't the 357 sq ft you were quoted by AmeriSafe and we are charging you 50% more for the move". Classic scam. I called AmeriSafe - both sales and customer service as it was their quote and the sales guy changed his voice and pretended it wasn't him. Comical. Said he'd get a supervisor to call me back (spoiler, they didn't).

Used AmeriSafe for my recent move and the whole thing went better than expected. Booking was easy, the rep was helpful and didn't try to upsell me on stuff I didn't need. Moved from South Carolina to Jacksonville Florida last week. Only about 350 miles but still a hassle. I was worried about my fishing boat more than anything else.Amerisafe gave me a price right away and didn't change it. The guys from Rushmore Van Lines showed up when they said they would. They strapped my boat down carefully and nothing shifted during the drive. All our furniture made it fine too. They called me the day before delivery to let me know when to expect them. Showed up right on time in Jacksonville. Unloaded everything in about two hours. Moving is a pain but Amerisafe and Rushmore Van Lines did their job well. No complaints. Would use them again for sure.

I found them through Consumer Affairs. A man from the company answered the phone and asked if this was J**** my first name. I said yes. He then says, "You Sound Confused." What a terrible way to greet a potential customer. I hung up on him. Don't use this company if they cannot even get through the first two or three minutes with a potential client.

I booked through Amerisafe for my move from Arizona to Illinois and they made the whole thing simple. Got my quote fast, no confusion, no pre. On pickup day the Rushmore Van Lines team arrived and took over from there. They knew what they were doing- packed the truck tight, handled everything with care, and were just easy to work with. Delivery was on time considering the distance and I didn’t have a single damage item. Wouldn’t change a thing.

My wife and I are using Amerisafe right now for our move from West Virginia back to Washington. I have been trying to get a hold of our rep and absolutely no response. I asked our rep about our price, and he message back that it was firm, not the case. Our Price was $4,400.00 we put down a deposit of $2,200.00 and when the movers got to our place in West Virginia, they increased the amount of space being used before anything was in the truck. The quote included Living Room furniture and a queen mattress and frame; however, we sold these items before the move, so we actually had less for the move, but the price increased. Our total price for the move is now $5,800.00. I reached out to our rep with no response.

Received a call from Amerisafe today (requested) after I noticed an add for $1800 move from Texas to California. The quote for a small 2 bedroom house (no packing, only furniture and tote pickup) was $8500. Said “Thank you for your quote and time, have a nice day” then ended the call. The rude Rep called back to read us the riot act about hanging up on him and he stated “we don’t need your business”. WOW. Good thing, because they will never get it and I hope this helps others avoid this group. And this is while they are trying to get you business. Imagine how bad they will get when under contract. RUN AWAY.

Amerisafe Van Lines handled everything with care. I had a various shelves and even some antiques and they were careful and respectful of each item. My move was fairly long but nothing was damaged in the process! Afterwards they even stayed to set up my TV mount and bed frame at my new place! Cesar and his crew worked very hard. They were courteous, conscientious, and professional. They made sure the job was done quickly while taking care of our furniture. My only complaint, which is not a reflection on the actual moving team is the cost changed several times during the process. The initial estimate was much less than the final price. There needs to be a better way to provide the customer with an accurate quote.

The booking agent, Steven, was completely useless and pretty much lied just to get the contract. The appointment coordinator, Danny, was very nice and tried ton accommodate the booking agents failures.

While the carriers hired by Amerisafe to handle our move are suspect and should be held accountable for an extremely poor job, Frank, the owner of Amerisafe, has contacted us and is working to set things right. He acknowledged the issues and is working to provide an appropriate refund for the move charges. He has committed to adjust the cost for the move as well as contacting the carriers used to ensure they understand their performance is unacceptable.

These guys are on point. Very thorough in loading our home goods. A lot of detail went into wrapping and covering our furniture. The smaller items were handled with care throughout the loading process. All fragile items were placed on top of the multiple boxes we had. I highly recommend these guys. Not all transparent. Contracted our to imovers out NJ. When imovers showed up, they had up charges of over $1300. Even though my quoted move was smaller than our actual move. Not pleased at all. Amerisafe is not upfront or transparent about the actual workings of the company.

The father and son who loaded my items from AmeriSafe Van Lines were very nice, seems to take pride in their work, and carefully loaded the moving truck. Then for the two following weeks (while I was calling daily asking for updates) they stayed on top of everything and kept me up to date so I was never out the loop. The gentleman who dropped my things off, a few after they were originally picked up. From the moment he opened the back of the truck I knew my things were in tip top shape. I had a wonderful experience with AmeriSafe. I was relocating for work. I moved up north here to Seattle. Needed to move me, my family, and my stepson. It was a lengthy process because this was being handled for work. But the signing process was easy. The gentleman who helped me was named Mike. He was very attentive. Even after the verification, the customer service has a few different policies for follow-up. Then there's quality assurance, and then I had to add some stuff for my stepson. They were very accommodating. They were also very attentive to what was miscellaneous, what needed to be in a box. Those were things that I wasn't even thinking about and that's what I appreciated. Price point is always a concern when moving. But it was good. Overall, it was a great experience, and they made it easy for me. I didn't experience any delay. That was my biggest fear. And they were able to accommodate that with an expedited fee.

The first time I went with Amerisafe, it was because the company was referred to us. For the second time, it was because we had a good experience with them and decided to use them again. We moved from South Carolina to Florida recently and everything was done via the phone. I called initially. Then, the quote was sent electronically via email. The initial quote was sent over when we gave an inventory of the items that we had. The person called ahead of time and said that they would be emailing me the information, that I would need to go online and sign it, and if there were any questions. Everything was pretty straightforward.

I was initially going to get a couple quotes, but after I spoke with AmeriSafe, I decided not to because I didn't want to make it more make it more confusing than it already was. They did a FaceTime with me for the inventory and used some listing pictures. Then they verbally went with what I told them. I didn't come like an expert in moving, but they told me everything I needed to know and I learned more as the move progressed. The crew was fast too. The pricing had a couple of minor changes, but that was more on me because I had a couple items that I had forgotten. Moving from one state to another is still stressful but AmeriSafe did a really good job, all things considered.

They said that the amount would be different because we have more stuff but I was very clear on how much stuff we have and what sizes and the type of items!!
