If you guys really need to move use them, call them. I’m not playing like I had so much stuff and I called a bunch of other moving companies. Another one really was able to accommodate me the way Ameri safe did. Friendly staff, among the most nicest people you’ll ever meet in today’s day and age, you don’t get that anymore, willing to work with you because I had to keep changing my dates. I’m ecstatic.

After speaking with and scheduling AmeriSafe I knew I had hired the right moving company! They were very communicative on the phone, answered all of my questions and addressed any concerns I had, double checked that the moving truck would be there on the correct date and time, all of my worries were put to ease! Fast forward to moving day and the employees show up on time, are very polite, communicative, helpful, not to mention hard working and a great work ethic loading the entire house onto the truck in one day!

Our household arrived on the truck at our new home out West on time (early actually) and we were again met with professionalism, hard workers, and all around good people! Once we had final dates locked in, the remainder of the move was just as seamless. We had paid for some packing, and had packed a lot ourselves. As it turned out, we had more stuff than anticipated, so the original estimate needed to be amended. The increase was very reasonable, and entirely caused by our underestimation of our belongings. The men who came to pack and load, Brook and Scotty, were polite, pleasant, and very, very good at their jobs. We had a few delicate pieces that we were concerned about, but watching these gentlemen pad and wrap these items gave us confidence.

The actual delivery was delayed a few days due to a mechanical issue, but Tom, from Operations, kept us informed. Once the truck was on the road, it took less time than expected to arrive. The man who unloaded, Mr. **, was spectacular. He did an amazing job, both maneuvering a semi-truck around small mountain roads, and unloading in record time. All our belongings arrived, with no breakage or damage. If you are considering hiring a moving company, we recommend Amerisafe extremely highly.

When moving day came I did not know what to expect but the crew that showed up immediately put me at ease. They were on time, professional, and came prepared with all the right equipment and supplies. For a one bedroom one bathroom apartment you might think it is a quick and simple job but AmeriSafe Van Lines treated it with the same level of care and attention you would expect for a much bigger move. They did a quick walkthrough of my apartment first to assess everything before touching a single item. My bed frame was carefully disassembled and each piece was wrapped individually in thick moving blankets before being secured with stretch wrap. My dresser drawers were removed, wrapped separately, and packed in a way that kept them from shifting. My couch was fully wrapped and protected from top to bottom.

My TV stand, nightstand, and every other piece of furniture got the same treatment. Even the smaller everyday items like my lamps, mirror, bathroom essentials, and wall decor were packed with care and placed strategically in boxes with proper padding so nothing would move around. They loaded the truck like they were solving a puzzle, making sure heavier items were on the bottom and lighter more fragile things were secured on top and against the walls. Nothing was just thrown in carelessly. You could tell they had a system and they knew exactly what they were doing.

The long distance drive was the part I was most anxious about but AmeriSafe Van Lines kept me updated along the way so I was never sitting around wondering where my stuff was. They communicated proactively and made sure I knew what to expect and when. When they finally arrived at my new place they showed up right within the delivery window they had given me, which after a move that long I genuinely appreciated more than I can say. The unload was just as smooth and careful as the loading. They brought everything in without scraping my new walls or bumping into doorframes, asked me where each item should go, and placed everything exactly where I wanted it.

My bed frame was fully reassembled without me having to ask. My dresser was put back together with the drawers back in place. Every box was accounted for and delivered to the right room. Not one single item was damaged. Not one thing was missing. After traveling that kind of distance everything arrived in the exact same condition it was in when it left my old apartment.

If you are a college student or anyone on a budget trying to figure out how to make a long distance move work without losing your mind, I cannot recommend AmeriSafe Van Lines enough. They made the entire process feel less scary and way more manageable than I thought it would be. The level of care they showed for my belongings, the communication throughout the whole move, and the professionalism of the crew from start to finish was truly impressive. I will without a doubt be calling AmeriSafe Van Lines again the next time I need to move and I have already recommended them to two of my friends who are planning moves of their own. The guys who showed up on moving day were awesome. They worked hard, moved fast, and still managed to handle all my stuff with care.
