This is the absolute WORST moving company I've dealt with in my entire life. Every single person at this company tells lies. They are holding my goods hostage to this day through a mover they partnered with. They just offered me $1,000 to withdraw my FMCSA claim but I refuse because they and the company they used to move me screwed me out of almost $6,500.

I wish 0 stars was an option. Never again. Biggest scam. Once they got their money (x3 the original quote) they were nowhere to be found. Lies from "customer service". I had so many issues with delivery and it "wasn't their problem".

Absolute horrible experience. They broke most of my furniture, moved me in the middle of the night, did not bring professional movers and not enough wrapping material, even though I paid for it. They double the price they quoted me. Avoid these scammers!!

Terrible service. Now I know why they changed their name (previously National Moving Services). Sales/customer service seems good at first, but you will be underquoted and told the cost is double once the movers pack your items. I used their packing service and multiple items have been ruined and now I need to spend time filing a claim via tedious process. Once the movers are there and try to get more money from you, and no one will pick up the phone from sales or customer service. You will go to the beginning of queue and then be sent back. They completely ignore you.

My team was absolutely amazing! The movers did great! They were quick and could handle everything. When they were done they rechecked to make sure I didn’t want to move more upstairs or downstairs, then did so willingly and offered to rearrange furniture, etc. AND QUICKLY!! There was no time wasted and although I had several heavy pieces, there was no hesitation to move them and place everything according to what I wanted. Honestly, I can’t praise them enough (and I’ve had some nightmare experiences moving over the past few months). Thank you for providing me with a positive crew.

I hope this helps someone make a better decision than I did in choosing Amerisafe. The original estimate was $15,100, then I added boxes which brought the cost to over $18,000. I decided not to take a huge entertainment center and a seven piece deck/patio set. Vanguard arrived on 9/15/23 to pack and move me. The foreman did a visual inspection and raised the cost another $10,000. I declined, and told him to fill the truck with as much as he could focusing on the furniture. I had already packed a lot (100-200) boxes. There was minimal packing done on their part. However, they did carefully wrap the furniture with blankets and shrink wrap.

Most disappointing for me is that my main contact at Amerisafe did not return my calls, or test messages. He gave me his cell # when I booked the move and said I could call him with anything I needed - never heard from him.

When I first got a moving quote from this company, it was only around $4000, then I added a few small things, they changed the quote to about $5000. On the day of my moving, the mover (not Amerisafe, but a sub-contracted company Amerisafe never told me) came and told me the estimated volume was totally wrong and the volume is actually double what Amerisafe told me, and therefore the moving cost is more than $9000 now (after I agree to deduct 5 large pieces of furniture in the original quote, otherwise the cost would be >$10000). The mover told me this has happened a lot with Amerisafe customers as they always give customers underestimated quotes and the mover always has to increase the volume and price!

I am not one to write reviews, but this was the worst experience. Posting to help others stay away from National Moving Company (Amerisafe Moving Services). We recently moved from one state to another and decided to contract through a broker. I worked with Brandon ** from their sales team. At the time, he seemed super helpful and easy to contact. As soon as the movers came, this all changed. I was never able to get ahold of Brandon again despite his promises of “Not being a hard guy to reach by phone”. Brandon baited and tricked us into using their services. He promised a cost effective estimate and a reasonable delivery window. Brandon promised our goods would be delivered within 4 days and that this timeframe even had extra wiggle room just in case.

Lied to… They had TOTAL DISREGARD for our belongings. Items lost, delivered somewhere else or just plain stolen. Our clothing was stuffed into plastic bags and dropped into boxes. Pictures (artwork) jammed into boxes without being protected by wrapping. Boxes were put together upside down, then turned right side up… with TOTAL disregards to contents. I’m done with the recommendations from Consumer Affairs.

I gotta give some love to AmeriSafe Moving Services for being on top of their game. Moving? More like a well-orchestrated symphony with these guys. Friendly faces, great teamwork – what more could I ask for?

This company is a fraud and shouldn’t even be allowed to be in business. They quoted me a reasonable price over the phone for a long distance move, then pressure me into signing the contract electronically on my phone while I was on the phone with their rep. There was no way to read the fine prints and detail terms thoroughly. Then on the moving day, their partner in crime moving company showed up, took a quick glance at my stuff and told me that the stuff was twice as much in volume as the estimate thus I need to pay double, even though everything was within the inventory list and all my furniture were normal size nothing out of ordinary furnitures.

Scheduled a move for a Thursday. No notice, no phone call and they don't come. After calling them, was told they are coming now on Friday. The move out of the house seemed professional and no issues other than that the price went up about $500 because they misestimated what I told them. Now over a week and a half later, I am still waiting for my stuff and haven't received any calls. Originally was told the move should take 4-5 days. How can these companies stay in business when the business practices are so bad.

Okay, major shoutout to AmeriSafe Moving Services for taking my move to a whole new level. Like, these guys know what they're doing, and they do it with a smile. They practically turned my cross-state move into a road trip.

So, I was kinda dreading the whole moving thing, but AmeriSafe Moving Services seriously swooped in and saved the day. Super careful with my stuff, and they didn't play around with the timing either. Thumbs up!

They wrapped our furniture carefully and handled all of our belongings with care. They were extremely polite and helpful, always smiling despite having to move some very heavy furniture (including having to take a large portion of our sectional couch down two flights of stairs since it didn’t fit in the elevator!). It didn’t take long for them to load everything onto the truck. At our new house, they unloaded everything from the truck with the same care they had taken earlier. I wouldn’t hesitate to use AmeriSafe Moving Services for future moves. Thanks for such a great experience on what I thought would be a very stressful day!

Many items did not make it to my house. Movers were Russian. Did not speak English. They damaged some antiques and did not bring a bag of clothes and two brand new dog beds. Terrible experience that cost me over $5000 To move from Chicago to Michigan City Indiana. I would never recommend them to anybody.

I called 866-797-5498 to receive a quote for my move. The moving specialist was very rude and unhelpful. Once I disclosed my budget, which was $500 since I am only moving a few small items and not entire bedrooms, he just hung up on me. I can understand if they don't offer the service of moving small shipments, but there is a better way to communicate that.

National quoted and promised certain dates and abilities. They subcontract out to less than reputable companies who have 1 star themselves. Ended up losing my bed, mattress, a desk and dresser that didn't get loaded, and all boxes look like they were tossed around and smashed because of the multiple loading and reloading. National just wants to get the contract signed and then they leave you to just guess and get screwed. Horrible company!!! DO NOT TRUST!!!! LIARS AND THIEVES!!! YOUR STUFF WILL END UP DAMAGED AND POSSIBLY LOSE ITEMS!!!!

I called this company based on the reviews and was extremely unhappy. They gave me an electronic inventory list which I completed to get my quote. Then I updated the list to add a few extra items, thus paid a little more. They in turn hired Moving Wise. Moving Wise crew arrived and the foreman didn’t even review the list I had already completed with National he looked around at my items and said my items were larger than normal— they were not. I called the manager on duty with National and said Moving Wise stated my stuff was 400 extra square feet. She said that is normal. I ended up paying another 2400. Then turns out once my furniture was delivered Moving Wise Foreman had written extra lines for items I didn’t even have. My recommendation is not to use a broker. Go straight to a company to get exact quotes from the start.

I booked our move through National Moving Services, our broker was very kind, helpful and quick to respond with questions. I got sucked in by this & the low price and made the deposit. They subcontracted our move to Meg Movers. The driver of our truck was great, but we found out after he started packing that he was told by National that it was a door to door move, however I was very clear that it would be 2 weeks between moves and asked that if it had to go into storage was that includes. After talking to a very rude customer service rep, the manager was great and said it was their mistake and we would not be responsible for the storage. I later found out that National put the storage on Meg Movers! Next, the moving crew never showed up to help so we ended up having to help pack and load the truck with the help of a few friends!

My partners and I, entire home was picked up by this company to be delivered from Arizona to New York. It has been two months and no delivery, no updates, and barely any communication on where our belongings are. The amount of mental stress and financial toll this has taken on us is unimaginable. The company doesn’t seem to care and when we are able to get an hold of them only give vague updates like “next weekend” or “Thursday” for a delivery update. At this point, we are pursuing legal action. Do not work with this company.
