They did a good job overall. Waed was responsive and prompt when I called or texted. The moving team had me loaded in 3 hours a 1 bedroom 1000 sq. ft. apartment. They delivered on the day promised and the delivery team did a great job. They were helpful and accommodating and a conscientious worker. Thanks guys.

A storm was forecast for moving day. AmeriSafe covered the loading ramp with a tarp and moved everything inside the truck quickly. Nothing got wet. The estimate never moved.

We did get some relief.

I moved from Boynton to a senior community in Delray. The crew was patient with my questions and worked around my schedule. They even placed furniture in the rooms I requested. Considerate. I slept fine that night.

Very late in delivery; sales rep deceived my mom into paying too much and used scare tactics to get her to pay; basically organized crime.

They offered to recycle our old moving boxes after unpacking. They took them back and left none behind. Environmentally conscious. The price was the same on paper and in practice.

You are not a national Van Lines. You broker out. You do not share that information. Stanford Van Lines, the company that you brokered out to is crap!

The packing materials were high quality – thick boxes, plenty of bubble wrap, and paper. Nothing was under‑packed. My glassware arrived perfect. The estimate never moved.

Updated on 08/09/2026: So we wrote a review a couple of weeks ago on a Thursday evening and by morning we were contacted by Alex from Amerisafe. She stated that negative reviews were harmful for their ratings and offered us 1,200.00 to rectify all of our losses and damages to our furniture. They then came back with a little higher amount, which still didn’t touch how much we had to pay. We declined, as money is not the issue but how they overcharged us and damaged our goods, which is just wrong in every aspect. Not only were we overcharged, the company breached their end of the contract, and that cost us even more money, as if 23,000 wasn’t enough!! This company has zero remorse for how they treat people and they need to be stopped!!!!!

I’ve been working with AmeriSafe Van Lines since March 2026 for a cross country move from Oregon to Maryland. I must say that Leo in sales was instrumental in helping me coordinate this move. They help coordinate a My one of my cars being transported cross country and Alden **, as well as Leo were very helpful in coordinating getting one driver to take my car cross country. It can be kind of confusing when multiple people start calling you and it was streamlined by having these point persons that I could reach out to and help me. My car made it safely from Oregon to Maryland. And my move is coming up in a few days. Don’t hesitate using AmeriSafe Van Lines for your move big or small!

I was very impressed with the gentleman I spoke with. We discussed each room, and what was being moved. I won't be going for a few months, but I will absolutely be using AmeriSafe!

Pre pick up I received ample notice and payment instructions. The team was more than willing to explain changes and provided support through the inventory process. Once the team arrived at my home I was walked through the processes and the team was able to communicate throughout the entire process. Any questions they had were asked respectfully and promptly to avoid time delay. Payment was easy and once the team completed the loading process we completed an inventory so I had peace of mind with documentation to back it up. I highly recommend and would absolutely work with them in the future.

Updated on 08/16/2026: We finally got a response from Amerisafe when I submitted my first bad review. A very nice young woman named Alex tried to help. She managed to get most of our belongings delivered 7 days after our requested delivery date. About $3K worth of items wouldn't fit in the truck because someone else's stuff was already in it. So we got those 7 days after that. Almost all of our boxes were damaged. Most of our furniture is nicked and many items were broken. We had paid extra to have them pack the kitchen but the packing looked like a bunch of kids were set loose. Glass items weren't wrapped.

Koka and Arip were able to quickly, diligently, and attentively pack up my apartment in almost no time. I was in a rush to move across the state, and the crew was on it. A big thank you to Rushmore Van Lines, and Koka and Arip — you made my move stress free and smooth, and I couldn’t recommend this crew more.

Constantine and Roman were very attentive to the wrapping and protecting of our furniture. Constantine was patient and verified all estimates prior to finalizing the loading & packing. Both were hard working, polite and professional.

My experience with AmeriSafe has been great! All my questions regarding pricing, moving dates, etc...were answered in my initial conversation. Although I did not know my move date yet; I was offered the option to lock-in rates immediately using a deposit and then would be given priority to schedule my move once I had the date. Unfortunately, we have had to delay our move until later next year. I spoke with Alexa B in customer service who initiated my cancellation and refund. She was helpful and followed through with a quick refund in full. We will be moving in the future and I will definitely reach out to AmeriSafe again. The customer service I received was excellent.

I would like to share my experience with this company as it was the most unpleasant experience I have ever had. My sister needed a moving company for a few items (maybe two bedrooms worth) from California to Ohio. I called and was given all sorts of promises. I scheduled the pickup for her items on May 1st with the promise that these were going to arrive in Ohio by May 11th, which was when our parents were there to help her get settled in. We kept calling, emailing, texting and nothing. They flat out told me after payment was made that they had her stuff in storage in California still waiting to fill the van/truck with enough product.

Amerisafe Van Lines is the most reliable and trustworthy moving company. They did their job very well, had no complaints. They arrived on time and also was done before the end of the day. If I could rate it over 5 stars, I would rate them a 10-star.

AmeriSafe Van Lines, acting as a moving broker (US DOT 3341650, MC 01066696), provided a binding estimate on 4/14/2026 for our interstate move from Emeryville, CA to Pittsburgh, PA: 801 cubic feet for $11,878.19. Three days before our scheduled 5/31/2026 pickup, on 5/28/2026, AmeriSafe issued a revised binding estimate nearly tripling the cubic footage to 2,200 cf and raising the total to $29,999.01, with the required deposit rising from $5,900.00 to $14,998.88. No physical survey was conducted for either estimate, and we did not add any additional items or services between the two estimates that would justify this increase. This left us with no reasonable opportunity to seek an alternative mover before the scheduled pickup date, consistent with the low-estimate-then-price-increase pattern FMCSA warns consumers about.

AmeriSafe has really helped me when I thought nobody else would. These guys showed up on time and was ready to work. The last crew I hired was almost about to make me not even want to hire anybody else. But these guys sure did come through.

It was a breeze. The only problem I had was trying to leave a review and the website not letting me, that was the only issue I had. Otherwise, I would not have had a single problem.

The loaders were on time very courteous and efficient. They made helpful suggestions to save room and money! There was a slight language barrier-Russian, but they handled it well. Loading only took a couple hours-well padded and stacked. They were on their way to their warehouse for sorting more info as our load moves across the country

Updated on 07/10/2026: It would be easier to put these in 4 words. I got ripped off! I still don’t have my belongings. Now…I have been at the new location since June 19th. Called for my things. I was told, "Will get back to you". Waiting on a truck. I have called. 4x - 1x I got no answer. Same answer. It is now 7/10/26. I want my money back. This has been the worse experience. I have been in the business world my entire life. Never have I dealt with this. I was moving my Mom back to her home so she could fix it. She is going to be 91! We are sleeping on benches!!! This is insanity! How can a company feel good about ripping off a 64 and almost 91 year old woman!

Horrific inhumane behavior. False misleading quotes. Unprofessional sales techniques (aggressive convincing, trash talking other companies). Damaged expensive furniture. Lost an important item, and when they found it in their warehouse they said, 'We can’t send it out to you until we are going to that location anyway." No estimate, no reimbursement. Absolutely the worse experience of my entire life which includes 10 military moves. Complete lack of communication. Original estimate and pricing competitive with other companies. After down payment nothing. Rep never obligated the move. Now the day before get a 105% increase in the price for the move - the day before. Run from this company. Run.

The guys from Rushmore Van Lines who showed up knew what to do, and did it. I was personally underprepared, but they handled everything anyway. All I expected and more. They took care of my animals and very large furniture. No complaints. They took care of all of my fragile dishware and computers and peripherals too.

Price estimate started out at around $3,300. Final cost ended up at $12,583.56. Was charged for 1,998 cubic square feet for a 26ft Penske truck that holds 1,700 cu.sq.ft. Was a total rip off and had no choice because truck was loaded.

I would not recommend this moving company to anyone. From the very beginning, they were never clear about my pickup date. The date they are now claiming I agreed to is one I would have never accepted. When I questioned it, they told me they had a transcript proving I agreed. I asked for a copy of that transcript, but the customer service representative was extremely rude and refused to be helpful.

Had a long-distance move back from wrapping up contract work in New England, had to make my way back to the NJ/NY area; what worked best for my schedule and needs was AmeriSafe. We coordinated for an early morning weekend situation, the moving time was cordial and very accommodating to pets/neighbors coming in and out of the building. There was no damage on any corners or edges of my boxes, and the primary heavy materials I would've concerned myself with had this been done solo/with only one accompanying friend and their small-framed vehicle got inside to where they needed to be without much of a hitch. Very unsatisfied.... Almost 40K to ship a 2700sqft house from Michigan to South Carolina and 25% of my estimated goods are still in Michigan. Upfront communication was great...then silence until 3 days before pickup...then a re-estimate that doubled the price and would not refund any of the 9K deposit for cancellation. Extra charges were included for wardrobe boxes and a golf cart and the wardrobe boxes were never on site and the golf cart was left behind along with a compressor, MIG welder, small generator, patio furniture, and much more that was all in their original estimate. Their subcontracted packing and loading crew showed up hours late and reeked of **, their loading supervisor left to catch a plane hours before the loading was complete.

Amerisafe is the definition of Bait and Switch. Starts with a great call with a very solid professional that will take information room by room as you measure your content. Starts as a moderate price for a 2hr drive for a move. They share with you that you are a 26ft truck and partial of another and that they will adjust the pricing on how it gets filled. Fill it up, pay the difference. Even gave a fee for moving a golf cart. Then moving day happens. Price doubled when I was already 100% of 1 truck and 20% of another with the golf cart included. All downhill from that point. Price doubled for filling up the 80% of truck 2. They did NOT take all the pieces from my measured inventory, requiring me to get another mover to complete the move. Did NOT refund all the pieces in the original pricing that did NOT make the move.

My experience with AmeriSafe Movers was the worst moving experience I have ever had. AmeriSafe presented itself as a professional interstate moving company, but in my opinion, the handling of my move was careless, unsafe, and completely unacceptable. I originally paid a $7,500 deposit about a year ago. When I called to finalize the move, I was told a new inventory/estimate was required. The price then jumped from about $15,000 to over $35,000, and I was required to pay another $10,000 deposit and sign new paperwork. When I tried to cancel within the 72-hour cancellation period, I disputed the newer $10,000 deposit.

What stood out most was their attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to help. It’s refreshing to work with people who take pride in what they do and treat their customers with respect.

I found out about AmeriSafe not too long ago and am I glad I did! It was a three state move since my job relocated and well we have quite a bit of stuff. We're a family of six not including our dog so yeah it was a lot of stuff but they gave me a reasonable price and considering the short notice we started packing right away. I filled out something online then AmeriSafe called me. The rep was super helpful and made the process pretty much streamlined so I didn't have to do anything. I just told them what I had to move, they took the information that I gave them and gave me a price. Moving day went pretty well, all things considered. I have children, so there's a wrench in a lot of things. But the guys were super great. They just came in and it was like the loop, swoop, and pull. They put everything together, packed up what needed to be packed up, wrapped them up, loaded them on the truck, and they were out of there. However, they could have been more communicative regarding the process of delivery - how it was going to happen and when they were going to call. I didn't understand it but once it was explained to me, I was good.

I can’t say enough about the job these guys were able to do for me and my family. I had to relocate to another state for work and reached out to Amerisafe and they made the process as seamless as possible! They packed all our dishes in dish boxes with paper, put all our coats and sweaters in Wardrobe boxes, and even gave us extra boxes for our miscellaneous stuff, which was a deal breaker for us. I would never recommend this company. I was told one thing and others things came up like my delivery date estimated 2-10 days. Over 15 days pass and still no delivery.

Avoid this company at all costs. This was one of the worst service experiences I have ever had. The company took our business and then handed the move off to a cheap third-party carrier, leaving us to deal with poor communication, unprofessional carrier, unexpected fees, and missing furniture. After pickup, we received virtually no meaningful updates. Then, approximately two weeks later, a delivery company called and provided only about one hour's notice before arriving. Because we were traveling, we could not accept delivery. Rather than working with us to find a reasonable solution, we were informed that storage fees could be charged if delivery could not be completed.

I'm Daniel. I was planning on moving like 300 miles away and I just had too much stuff to move on my own. I called a few places and ended up going with AmeriSafe Van Lines to help. They arrived when they said they would ready to work. I had already packed most of the small stuff in boxes. Then was the big stuff that I was worried about getting damaged. They did a great job of handling everything with care and loading it. Not only were they quick but also very efficient. Once everything was packed they made the trip to my new place and again nothing was damaged. They unloaded just as fast as they loaded and I was now able to feel safe in my new place. Without a doubt, the worst moving experience I have ever experienced. I was initially quoted just under $2,000 for a move from a one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment in Pittsburgh, PA, to Wilmington, DE (approximately 300 miles). When I spoke with Shannon, the representative, she assured me that delivery could be scheduled on the specific date I requested. Everything sounded straightforward, and I felt comfortable moving forward.

They were exceptional in their customer service and took great care of my furniture from loading to unloading them. NOTHING was broken/damaged or torn. They were able to break down and assemble my bed frame so it could fit through doors. They brought what was needed in terms of blankets to make sure not a scratch was in sight on the apartment doors and blankets to cover down mirrors and TV screens. I called here thinking they were an actual moving company, paid 900.00 + only to find out they are a broker and are not friendly to work with. They gave my job to movers in NJ who picked up my belongings on May 7, 2026 and just received my belongings today June 4, 2026. I've been sleeping on a air mattress which is not good for my arthritis. United Pro Movers in NJ has great movers but the company sucks.
