The crew showed up at 8 a.m. sharp in a clean truck. They wrapped my sofa like a Christmas present. Nothing broke. I paid what I was told.

Came quick, very efficient, got it done safely and were friendly and helpful. Rushmore is great, I highly recommend them. They kept me informed and kept my pets safe so they didn’t run away. It was a breeze. The only problem I had was trying to leave a review and the website not letting me, that was the only issue I had. Otherwise, I would not have had a single problem.

The loaders were on time very courteous and efficient. They made helpful suggestions to save room and money! There was a slight language barrier-Russian, but they handled it well. Loading only took a couple hours-well padded and stacked. They were on their way to their warehouse for sorting more info as our load moves across the country

Updated on 07/10/2026: It would be easier to put these in 4 words. I got ripped off! I still don’t have my belongings. Now…I have been at the new location since June 19th. Called for my things. I was told, "Will get back to you". Waiting on a truck. I have called. 4x - 1x I got no answer. Same answer. It is now 7/10/26. I want my money back. This has been the worse experience. I have been in the business world my entire life. Never have I dealt with this. I was moving my Mom back to her home so she could fix it. She is going to be 91! We are sleeping on benches!!! This is insanity! How can a company feel good about ripping off a 64 and almost 91 year old woman!

After down payment nothing. Rep never obligated the move. Now the day before get a 105% increase in the price for the move - the day before. Run from this company. Run.

Price estimate started out at around $3,300. Final cost ended up at $12,583.56. Was charged for 1,998 cubic square feet for a 26ft Penske truck that holds 1,700 cu.sq.ft. Was a total rip off and had no choice because truck was loaded.

I would not recommend this moving company to anyone. From the very beginning, they were never clear about my pickup date. The date they are now claiming I agreed to is one I would have never accepted. When I questioned it, they told me they had a transcript proving I agreed. I asked for a copy of that transcript, but the customer service representative was extremely rude and refused to be helpful.

Had a long-distance move back from wrapping up contract work in New England, had to make my way back to the NJ/NY area; what worked best for my schedule and needs was AmeriSafe. We coordinated for an early morning weekend situation, the moving time was cordial and very accommodating to pets/neighbors coming in and out of the building. There was no damage on any corners or edges of my boxes, and the primary heavy materials I would've concerned myself with had this been done solo/with only one accompanying friend and their small-framed vehicle got inside to where they needed to be without much of a hitch. Very unsatisfied.... Almost 40K to ship a 2700sqft house from Michigan to South Carolina and 25% of my estimated goods are still in Michigan. Upfront communication was great...then silence until 3 days before pickup...then a re-estimate that doubled the price and would not refund any of the 9K deposit for cancellation. Extra charges were included for wardrobe boxes and a golf cart and the wardrobe boxes were never on site and the golf cart was left behind along with a compressor, MIG welder, small generator, patio furniture, and much more that was all in their original estimate. Their subcontracted packing and loading crew showed up hours late and reeked of **, their loading supervisor left to catch a plane hours before the loading was complete.

Amerisafe is the definition of Bait and Switch. Starts with a great call with a very solid professional that will take information room by room as you measure your content. Starts as a moderate price for a 2hr drive for a move. They share with you that you are a 26ft truck and partial of another and that they will adjust the pricing on how it gets filled. Fill it up, pay the difference. Even gave a fee for moving a golf cart. Then moving day happens. Price doubled when I was already 100% of 1 truck and 20% of another with the golf cart included. All downhill from that point. Price doubled for filling up the 80% of truck 2. They did NOT take all the pieces from my measured inventory, requiring me to get another mover to complete the move. Did NOT refund all the pieces in the original pricing that did NOT make the move.

My experience with AmeriSafe Movers was the worst moving experience I have ever had. AmeriSafe presented itself as a professional interstate moving company, but in my opinion, the handling of my move was careless, unsafe, and completely unacceptable. I originally paid a $7,500 deposit about a year ago. When I called to finalize the move, I was told a new inventory/estimate was required. The price then jumped from about $15,000 to over $35,000, and I was required to pay another $10,000 deposit and sign new paperwork. When I tried to cancel within the 72-hour cancellation period, I disputed the newer $10,000 deposit.

What stood out most was their attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to help. It’s refreshing to work with people who take pride in what they do and treat their customers with respect.

They moved my studio equipment and my personal home items safe and sound from Las Vegas to Reno Nevada and I got to say I was impressed on how quickly and safely they got it done. I filled out something online then AmeriSafe called me. The rep was super helpful and made the process pretty much streamlined so I didn't have to do anything. I just told them what I had to move, they took the information that I gave them and gave me a price. Moving day went pretty well, all things considered. I have children, so there's a wrench in a lot of things. But the guys were super great. They just came in and it was like the loop, swoop, and pull. They put everything together, packed up what needed to be packed up, wrapped them up, loaded them on the truck, and they were out of there. However, they could have been more communicative regarding the process of delivery - how it was going to happen and when they were going to call. I didn't understand it but once it was explained to me, I was good.

I can’t say enough about the job these guys were able to do for me and my family. I had to relocate to another state for work and reached out to Amerisafe and they made the process as seamless as possible! This really means a lot because this is the second time I’ve had to relocate for work, and the first time I used a different company and ran into problem after problem. Hello I just wanted to say the move was easy and the movers were very calm under the pressure. I'm from NYC and I was moving my families 3 bedroom apartment to North Carolina. They packed all our dishes in dish boxes with paper, put all our coats and sweaters in Wardrobe boxes, and even gave us extra boxes for our miscellaneous stuff, which was a deal breaker for us. They were very reassuring and polite, and you can tell that they have been movers for a very long time. They treated our furniture and home items like their own and that's very important to me. I would never recommend this company. I was told one thing and others things came up like my delivery date estimated 2-10 days. Over 15 days pass and still no delivery.

Avoid this company at all costs. This was one of the worst service experiences I have ever had. The company took our business and then handed the move off to a cheap third-party carrier, leaving us to deal with poor communication, unprofessional carrier, unexpected fees, and missing furniture. After pickup, we received virtually no meaningful updates. Then, approximately two weeks later, a delivery company called and provided only about one hour's notice before arriving. Because we were traveling, we could not accept delivery. Rather than working with us to find a reasonable solution, we were informed that storage fees could be charged if delivery could not be completed.

They arrived when they said they would ready to work. I had already packed most of the small stuff in boxes. Then was the big stuff that I was worried about getting damaged. They did a great job of handling everything with care and loading it. Not only were they quick but also very efficient. Once everything was packed they made the trip to my new place and again nothing was damaged. They unloaded just as fast as they loaded and I was now able to feel safe in my new place. I was initially quoted just under $2,000 for a move from a one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment in Pittsburgh, PA, to Wilmington, DE (approximately 300 miles). When I spoke with Shannon, the representative, she assured me that delivery could be scheduled on the specific date I requested. They were exceptional in their customer service and took great care of my furniture from loading to unloading them. NOTHING was broken/damaged or torn. They were able to break down and assemble my bed frame so it could fit through doors. They brought what was needed in terms of blankets to make sure not a scratch was in sight on the apartment doors and blankets to cover down mirrors and TV screens. I called here thinking they were an actual moving company, paid 900.00 + only to find out they are a broker and are not friendly to work with. They gave my job to movers in NJ who picked up my belongings on May 7, 2026 and just received my belongings today June 4, 2026. I've been sleeping on a air mattress which is not good for my arthritis. United Pro Movers in NJ has great movers but the company sucks.

I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone at any cost. It's a total scam. For our move, they were to pick up our goods in one state and to deliver the goods at our new home in another state. The sales guy Colin needs serious training skills. He quoted us based on a 2200 SF house and said it would be 2200 cubic feet of goods. When the brokered moving company arrived (All Seasons Logistics LLC), it was an Eastern European guy with 4 young ** boys no older than 16yo. He said he needed another $5,000 for our move, that it was underestimated. Total racket. We had to pay because the next day was day of possession of the house to the new owner. They know this. They take advantage of it. On our move to the new home in another state, the driver (a different company, Stanford Van Lines) texted me and said it was a shuttle job so they needed another $3,400.

This has been one of the worst experiences I've ever had working with a company. BIG WARNING to anyone thinking of using them. Not only did we get charged 3x what was originally agreed on, they cancelled our car pick up THE DAY OF PICKUP. We are flying out 2 days from now, and the customer service rep said verbatim "You need to book with someone else". Two days before we leave. A representative by the name of Dean answered the phone and we began to discuss the move. After asking me questions related to my moving needs, he stated my quote would be around $15,000 and asked if that was something I'd be interested in.

Updated on 06/10/2026: Franke emailed me to try to get a resolution. He told me he would refund me half of my feet. I asked them to give me a full refund because I already paid 6 1/2 thousand to the Movers and $3000 and down payments or deposits to AmeriSafe. They sent me an email confirmation of a refund then to go remove my review from ConsumerAffairs only to find out that they canceled the refund. This is the type of company AmeriSafe is. I’m asking you guys to stay away from. They are fraudulent and fake.

This company helped me move my belongings from my last apartment to my new one. I was struggling to find good service and they provided just that. DO NOT HIRE AMERISAFE TO MOVE YOU ANYWHERE.... It was a horrifically horrible experience from start to finish. AmeriSafe contracts out their jobs, hiring anyone to move you. My movers were rude, destructive, disrespectful and threatening. They showed up at my home to load truck four hours late which affected my plans to travel. I had all of my fragiles and glass wrapped and boxed, they were supposed to give me a discount for this, they DID NOT. They destroyed a antique wooded rocking chair, leaving it in pieces. They broke several boxes of Christmas ornaments and sentimental decorations. They unwrapped my coach and chairs in their truck leaving dirty marks all over it. They threatened me that they would not give me my "stuff" if I did not give them a tip before they unloaded the truck. They were also very threatening and took advantage of me, raising their voice.

No matter what they quote, you expect to pay double. Quoted $8,300 originally and they show up and, in my opinion, extorted an additional $10,000. This is a round estimates and include a requested tip on top of the cost so they wouldn't charge extra for additional packing beyond what they as already charged. I feel they purposely underquote the job to get a signature and deposit. Then they show up and walk around the house and tell you this is going to cost more. What do you do when you have flights booked? Have to turn over the property after closing?

This is one of the best moving companies I ever use. They are very perfectionist. They come on time. They are very nice. I will recommend them to my whole family and friends.

BEWARE of this company. They ripped me off for over $3,000. I contacted them when I was looking for movers. They demanded I pay in full to "secure my date," but assured me that if I chose another co. they'd refund my money. Four days later, I did choose another mover, but they refused to refund me and only gave back $2K of my $5K paid to them. They said I cancelled "outside their window." They NEVER told me there as any "window." I also discovered they purposefully way under bid my moving costs so they could charge huge up charges at the end. This company is a shady organization and should be avoided. DO NOT hire them. They will rip you off.

Amerisafe did reach out and offer compensation. Although I still stand by my review and experience, I am updating the star review to reflect the fact that they reached out and apologized.

I hired them to move my stuff and in the beginning they seemed good but after paying a dep then paying when they picked up they basically ghosted me. They didn't deliver my belongings for a month without communication until I started complaint then at the end of almost thirty days they finally delivered with broken items plus they left someone else's stuff so it was a terrible experience. Do not waste your money. They used a moving company called Vanguard and they were the actual movers that didn't care for my belongings as well as leaving me with stuff that isn't mine. I told them I needed my stuff and I was ignored completely. Total disregard for my situation.

Hired AmeriSafe for one reason - they guaranteed me that they would not use subcontractors. However, day of move, 2 subcontractors arrived at my house which was clearly contradictory to information they provided. AmeriSafe has since collected their portion of the total moving charge, but their communication is non-existent and they have washed their hands of making sure the customer is satisfied.

My furniture was packed March 11, 2026, and delivered April 19, 2026. In those 39 calendar days and 25 business days, I received exactly one call from Leo's secretary. All of my calls were answered by an answering service and I was given the same script each time, "We will let you know when the furniture will be arriving. You know we have 30 business days to deliver."

As a former director of Customer Service for a very large software company, I worked off an axiom that mistakes are made but that it's the resolution of those incidents that separate a quality company versus a disreputable one. After getting a phone call and genuine apology from the owner, I feel that a level of satisfaction that my previous maltreatment was addressed and that the issue was resolved. Ultimately, we have gone with another firm to move our household at the end of the month, but the sincerity of Frank ** and his staff was palpable in their apology, so I have raised my rating to 4 stars.

Be aware that they are a broker and not the movers. Keep in mind that the prices that they give you will not be your final cost as the actual movers will add substantial amount to their quote. On the day of the move, my final amount exceed over 4000 over what can line quoted me. Bag experience for me. If you can, find a direct mover and not a broker so that you won't have to pay the broker and the mover.

AmeriSafe provided a firm estimate for my son's move from TX to CA and contracted Rushmore Moving for the move. When the movers showed up, they said - "Nope. This isn't the 357 sq ft you were quoted by AmeriSafe and we are charging you 50% more for the move". Classic scam. I called AmeriSafe - both sales and customer service as it was their quote and the sales guy changed his voice and pretended it wasn't him. Comical. Said he'd get a supervisor to call me back (spoiler, they didn't).

They strapped my boat down carefully and nothing shifted during the drive. All our furniture made it fine too. They called me the day before delivery to let me know when to expect them. Showed up right on time in Jacksonville. Unloaded everything in about two hours. Moving is a pain but Amerisafe and Rushmore Van Lines did their job well. No complaints. Would use them again for sure.
