    You want to worst experience in your entire life. Here they are. Took a month and a two days to get from NY to FL. I kid you not, they ignored all of our calls and messages. Broke an electric recliner and a black refurbished cabinet (then taped it together and said nothing) and lost two tubs in delivery. You know what they give you 60 cents per pound. And they don’t even do that. Then charged 350 extra when they got here saying they had to move it from one truck to another. Guess what it gets better, 75 dollar per 8 steps. Not included. Ooo I can do ya one better, none of them speak English and they can’t properly pack a truck leaving a bunch of empty space everywhere.

    Customer service? Nope they have no knowledge about any of the business they are doing and third party delivered it so had no idea where it was and couldn’t get a hold of the drivers. DO NOT SIGN THE CONTRACT BECAUSE YOU SIGN AWAY YOUR RIGHT TO REFUSE THEY CHARGES EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE NOT LAWFUL. You will get absolutely screwed over. I will say it again save yourself. It may be a cheap quote but because they do not include everything in your estimate.

    April 28, 2025. I will apologize for the length of the review but the details are important. I don’t want this company to rebut anything and make a reader doubt my claim – which they WILL do. I received a quote from Michael and Daniel for approx. $1800.00 (which they later reduced to $1500.00 to help me out - LOL) for my move from KY to MS. I was hesitant to pay for movers as I never have paid anyone to move me but I needed the help this time and trusted this company to move me. That was a mistake. I gave them the list of items I needed moved which consisted of furniture (a couch, TV stand, outdoor furniture, etc. and approx. 30 medium sized boxes). When I received the bill of lading it listed all of my items but then had 353 CF on the bill of lading. I called several times to confirm this was enough room for all of the items listed and was assured that they would take ALL of the items from the bill of lading whether it was more than 353 CF or not.

    Well I didn’t know they WILL take everything but they will also charge you additional for it (The list you give them doesn’t matter. It’s the CF that matter.). My estimate went to $4,500.00. This company intentionally puts a small amount of CF regardless of what you tell them, they then reassure you it will fit in the allotted space, to only then con you out of thousands. I am one that never writes reviews – but please beware of the scam this company is running. They will say anything to get the contract and try to con you out of money. I ended up telling the movers to only move 353-400CF of items. I put a $500 deposit – they charged me half at pickup which came to $900 and they will be charging me another $900 at drop off. I didn’t even get half my stuff on the truck for this amount.

    Their goal is to give you a quote to entice you to use their company, take your deposit to lock you in, come to your house and “confirm” the items listed to only charge you additional money and at that point you are in a bind - either pay them to move your stuff or tell them no, resulting in a loss of the deposit, and have to hire other movers to do it. This is their game. I will say the team that came to move me were amazing and unfortunately are caught in the middle of this company's scam. I sincerely hope anyone reading this will trust me in saying this is a terrible company and completely unethical. If they are doing this to their customers - I cant imagine how they are ripping off their workers.

    We contracted with New Start Relocation, but with some concerns we read from other customers. They indicated they had a contract for one price and when the truckers showed up the price went up. Our estimate was for about $1800. When the truckers got here, the price increased to $3800. Because of our concerns, we had sent the agent multiple pictures of the boxes and lumber that was to be moved. The agent said he got everything confirmed with his boss, that the estimate was now a solid number. So we sent New Start about $700. They will not ship our load for the original agreed on price and will not return our $700 deposit. Based on my feelings, this company does this type of "business" regularly. Trying to reason with them is impossible and they use all the tactics of a shady, non reputable business. I would never ever recommend using this company unless you plan to lose your Money.

    Got a decent estimate for a move from Fort Lauderdale to Montana. Two days prior to my scheduled pick-up time, I was called and told my estimate was twice the quote from Scott **, a lying sack of crap who gave me the first estimate. So, I trashed some stuff and made it lighter with less cubic ft. They picked up on time, on April 2. Rosenberg told me, when asked, that the delivery would happen 7 to 10 days after pick-up. It is now April 21, and my stuff is still in a storage locker in Ft. Lauderdale, and they can't give me a time for delivery. Contract says that they have 20-21 days to fulfill the contract. Customer service is useless, so look elsewhere for a moving company, unless you like headaches, time wasting, and blood pressure spikes! And... they were recommended by someone I knew.... This is a horrible company, and I am sorry for choosing them! Not a review writer either....

    The team showed up right on time and got straight to work. I lived in a 4th-floor walk up, but they handled it with no problems at all quick, efficient, and totally professional.     Really, the part that hurts worst about dealing with East West Movers LLC (dba New Start Relocation) is how upset my dad would be if he realized that I took their word about their services and didn’t read the contract thoroughly. I needed to move my mom, who is suffering from dementia, from Oklahoma to Colorado. My mom was moving from a 2-bedroom apartment, so I didn’t expect it to cost too much, but was prepared to pay a few thousand for the move.

    As I was in Colorado, I was not able to meet with a bunch of movers in Oklahoma, so I was happy that New Start Relocation was able to quote the move based on reviewing with me the furniture and other items in her apartment. I provided a rundown of what she had, and Michael C gave me and estimate of $2500 after a $500 senior discount. We needed them to pick up everything on a Friday, and I asked if we could get it delivered on the following Monday. In what I now realize was an obvious effort to deflect from my question, Michael told me that they are only allowed to drive 500 miles a day, so it would take 2 days to move everything. I should have known that the fact that he was not directly answering my question was a red flag, but I heard it as a confirmation that it would only take 2 days, so we were good.

    As we got closer to the move, I was transferred from salesman Michael to representative Suzy A who wanted to verify that the box counts were still accurate, etc. I let Suzy know that we had more boxes, although they were not all full size (18x18x16), but we had fewer pictures and were hoping to consolidate more. Suzy told me that with the extra boxes, it would be an additional charge ($1800 more after a $700 senior discount), but if it turned out that we didn’t need all the space, we would be issued a refund. I once again verified with Suzy that everything would be delivered on Monday, and once again she verified that they could only drive 500 miles in a day, so it would take 2 days.

    Come moving day, we are given a window of 9-12 for the movers to show up. At 12:30, they finally arrive, walk through the apartment, and tell us we must pay them $2100 more, or they wouldn’t move us, and we had a lot fewer boxes that we had originally estimated! At this point, it was pure extortion since we didn’t have the option of scheduling someone else, so they knew they had us over a barrel. (They had also been collecting 50% of any amount due the full time, so even if we walked away, they already had a couple thousand dollars).

    We ended up paying the $2100, and then the movers took almost 7 hours to load up a 2-bedroom apartment (pretty much everything was already in boxes or wrapped). Once they were done, they told us that it was going to be 7-14 days for everything to arrive at the new location, and when they delivered it, we had to have cash for the remaining $2400 or they wouldn’t deliver our stuff! This is the part that hurt, since that is what it says in the contract, but Michael and Suzy didn’t tell us this when we were asking them directly about delivery.

    On the Monday we were expecting our stuff, we called customer support several times only to be told that they didn’t know where or stuff was. As it turns out, this is their code for “it is in a warehouse and has not left the origin location yet.” We borrowed a bed and brought over some folding chairs and TV tables for my mom, but she was super confused as to where she was and what was going on. It was a full week after our planned move in date when they finally called and told us our stuff would be there sometime the next day, with no solid timeframe. Once they arrived, luckily, they told us they would accept Zelle, but they wouldn’t start moving without payment first. The driver was rude, only telling us that we needed to pay him and not answering any of our questions. And you guessed it, once he arrived, he required an additional $400 since there is an elevator that they need to go up to get to her apartment.

    What they did pack, they packed poorly. We had paid $50 for a special box for the TV so it wouldn’t get broken, and they just taped some cardboard on the front and back and called it good. (It wasn’t broken, but it also wasn’t a $50 TV box!) They also packed a silk screen panel, and they stuck the tape directly to the panels, ruining them. They didn’t put enough wrapping on the panels themselves, so holes were punched all over the front of the screen. Lots of art and dishes were also broken in the move that were well wrapped, so I am not sure how they were handling the boxes.

    What we found is that they do not insure your valuables unless you pay extra. They only cover each item for $0.60/pound THAT THE ITEM WEIGHS. In other words, if you ship 4000 pounds of stuff, and they destroy your $8500 silk screen that weights 50 pounds, they will reimburse you up to $30 (if they approve the claim). If you do file a claim, you are locked into using their arbitrator for binding arbitration, so they basically can pick and choose if they want to reimburse you for anything they damage. We are all done with the move now, and my mom is finally settling in, but I will always have a bitter taste for how poor of an experience it was moving with New Start Relocation.

    Let me preface this by saying that my husband and I have moved four times in the past seven years, which has afforded us a solid understanding of how a relocation process should operate. When we first reached out to New Start Relocation, we connected with Sales Representative Jonathan **. He provided a general overview of their services and, while discussing the estimate, asked about the layout of our home and the contents of each room. Unfortunately, it became apparent that there were no visual assessments — no video conference nor an in-person pre-inspection prior to moving day. This lack of thoroughness should have raised a red flag for us, as our previous experiences typically included such steps.

    During the sales pitch, Jonathan assured us that the movers were based in the location to which we were relocating and that they would conduct another drop-off in our area before our move. He mentioned we would have roughly four packers handling the job. A week later, I attempted to confirm the details with Jonathan regarding the pickup date, but received no response despite multiple email, text, and phone attempts. Eventually, a different representative contacted me to clarify that the initially agreed-upon date was incorrect and could not be changed. To complicate matters, I was prompted to revise our packing list, leading to a total increase from the initial $6,000 estimate to a “worst-case scenario” of $9,000 — a substantially frustrating jump.

    Days later, the dispatch team reached out to confirm the movers’ estimated arrival time. I made it clear that we were on a military installation, which had previously posed issues with other moving companies. They reassured me that they knew how to access the area. On the eve of our scheduled pack-out, we received a call from the movers stating they would arrive between 8 AM and 10 AM. However, on moving day, I got a call indicating they couldn’t enter the base because one mover lacked identification. Consequently, I had to escort them onto the installation, delaying their arrival until noon with only two movers available to pack and move our entire three-bedroom house within two days.

    Upon assessment, the lead mover informed us that the price had now escalated from $9,000 to $11,000. He demanded either a cashier's check or cash before they would begin packing, leaving us in an exceptionally stressful situation. I immediately tried to contact New Start Relocation to discuss this unexpected price spike, but none of my attempts resulted in a reply. Despite my frustrations, we felt compelled to pay the increased amount. The movers also disclosed that they weren’t actually local to our destination; they came from Chicago and planned to store our belongings until a semi could be arranged for delivery.

    As we had been promised multiple packers, my husband and I stayed up until the early morning hours packing items ourselves to expedite the process due to delays. At this juncture, we were already at double the original estimate without receiving any acknowledgment from New Start Relocation. The following day during the pack-out, pressed for time, we conveyed to the movers our need to vacate the premises by 3 PM. They assured us that all would be packed up efficiently, and they would return the next morning at 8 AM. However, the return did not materialize at the agreed-upon time.

    When I called at 8:15 AM, I was informed that their truck wouldn’t start and they were waiting for a tow. By 8:45 AM, we received a text stating they were en route. Complications continued when we reached out to the dispatch team regarding the delivery of our household goods. We discovered that if the semi truck was unable to access our area, we’d face additional charges or would have to rent a U-Haul ourselves. I provided images demonstrating accessible areas adequate for a semi-truck.

    However, a few days later, the driver informed us they couldn’t fit the semi into our area. As a result, my husband and I scrambled to secure a rental truck and were instructed to meet the driver in a nearby parking lot to facilitate the transfer of our belongings. Upon arrival, we learned that we would have to handle unpacking ourselves, and the movers required the return of all packing blankets used on our items. While they loaded our possessions onto the U-Haul, my husband and I rushed to unwrap them from their protective layers so we could apply please wrapping blankets of our own. I strongly advise all military families to steer clear of New Start Relocation. I firmly believe that they should be blacklisted to prevent future exploitation of military families during what is already a challenging transition.

    Updated n 04/20/2025: Fine and we changed our planes because they said that they would ship our items in 2 days and the driver will call around 24 hours before they arrive. Another three more days, nothing happened. The fourth day, a Saturday, without any notice the day before, they called us at 3:30PM and said the driver would arrive at 6PM. So the around 24 hours notice in advance became 3 hours in advance. The worst thing was that we were out of town. The dispatch said we were the last stop and they would need to deliver today. Again, fine and we rushed back home.

    No surprise, they increased the price again by $700 for a change, which I had no idea and any warning before and after they picked up. They would not unload our stuff until we paid. The movers actually damaged our walls, but they would it admit. Just because we did not watch them to do everything. Now, I am exhausted and disappointed. We will make sure to this experience to all the propel we know and propel we do not know from the internet. No one should ever use this company.

    Original: I was directed to sign the contract over the phone call and without being told about the delivery window (2-14 business days). The customer service was with very unrespectful attitude. After I got surprised by the delivery time and called in checking, the customer service blamed on me not reading the contract carefully while I was directed to sign it over a phone call. Instead of resolving the issue, the company kept saying that I was not reading the contract and it has been a common practice for customers signing over phone calls. Is feasible for all customers to read the contract report over a phone call? For the pick up day, they actually called me at 6 pm on Sunday to ask if they could change the pickup date to the following Monday at 7 AM because they had a truck around. What company gives costumers date change request only 12 hours in advance and it was a Sunday.

    Regardless, we coordinated our schedule for their convenience, and they just left our stuff at a storage after the pick up. Now, I have been left in hanging for one week after the pick up. No one got me any update even after I called them three times. They just kept saying that they will update me. I finally made another push again and I was told that our stuff was still at the storage. For future costumers, do not say yes to early pickup unless you do not want to leave your stuff at a storage for a long time. Overall, I would not recommend anyone to use this company for moving.

    Had the worst moving experience ever with New Start. The movers they matched me with behaved as if they have never moved an apt before. The moving company had one small hand truck for an apartment move. It was one guy and a second person he hired. The one guy was in flip flops. Unprofessional start to finish. The person who picked up my stuff was different t than who dropped it off. Contract was photocopied. Wanted to raise the price over $1800 so I left a lot of my stuff and had done a move 9 months previous with way more items for less. I ended up paying $900 more than initial quote and have multiple damaged and lost items. Do NOT TRUST New Start to pair you with reputable movers!

    We urgently need help. We hired a broker to assist with our move, and the experience has been a nightmare. They gave us a contract with a set price, then changed it without warning.     🚨 WARNING: Do Not Use New Start Relocation / Eagle Moving Group Inc. 🚨 I was deceived out of $1,782.54 by this company for a move that never even happened. On March 3, 2025, I received a binding estimate of $3,661.42 after a detailed conversation with their rep, Nate **. After finding out I was a veteran, he played the "I'm a veteran too, brother" card! I paid nearly half up front. I was told the quote would only change if I added more items—which I didn’t. Then the bait-and-switch began.

    On March 18, I was suddenly told the price had jumped to $4,282.75. When I pushed back, I was told they’d honor the original quote if I disassembled everything myself. I did. But when the movers showed up on March 23, they presented me with a bogus new “binding” estimate of $7,644.29—more than double the original. No measurements, no justification, just pure deception. I refused. I contacted customer service and was told by Ryan ** I’d receive a full refund. Days later, I get an email saying I’d only get $450 back, with the rest as a “credit” for future service I will never use. Then they changed it again—to $650. Then $675. Total chaos.

    I asked for: My original quote to be honored. A full refund so I could find another mover. Legal contact information—which they refused to provide. This company uses bait-and-switch tactics, false promises, and shady refund games. Under federal law (49 CFR § 375.505), this is straight-up illegal. I’ll be reporting them to the FMCSA, FTC, Florida Attorney General, and more. Let my experience be your warning: Avoid New Start Relocation and Eagle Moving Group at all costs.

    The fact that this is promoted as a Veteran owned company makes this experience much worse; I expected better. Once the sale is made your move if transferred to an actual moving company to execute. Although you’re told all packing materials, blankets etc. are included that is absolutely false and the movers won’t take anything without extra “cash” on the spot. The sales company will fall back on some loose contract language that leaves some items at the shippers discretion and that’s where they get you. I lost more than $1500 worth of personal belongings because I refused to be hustled and pressured by these guys on moving day.

    Called the sales company, no answers, sent emails and someone else sends responses just quoting the same contract language that again is open to interpretation. Also, any foot travel more than 75 feet they will charge you $1 per foot “cash”. Oh and of course if you don’t want to pay any extra fees for the services you’ve actually already paid for, they will ask you want personal items you’re willing to sell or give to them in trade. Infuriating, please don’t use these people or the partner Ocean Moving from Ft. Lauderdale area.

    We totally fell for the sales pitch of the cheap quote based on a full walk-through with Gianna, we were given a 7 day timeframe for moving, a story about how they only move 2 families at a time. it all seemed to be great. What we didn’t realize was they subcontract the actual moving out to another company – Jackson‘s movers – who arrived and then told us the quote was too low and literally doubled the quote to &15,000. We had no choice because we were set to move with flights booked so we had to go with it. They also charged us for packing a boxes.

    But that wasn’t the worst, when everything arrived two weeks later not seven days later, everything had been moved from multiple trucks to other trucks, nearly every box was crushed and damaged, TV was broken. My motorcycle was scratched. They left the bolts for the bed behind in the old house so now I have to fly back to Texas to get them. The stuff they packaged (and charged me for) they just threw into large boxes with no packing, like speakers, pottery, etc all of which are damaged. Then there’s a small print which says the insurance only covers $.60 per pound of item, regardless of what happened so even though we’re filing a claim for so much damage we’re likely to get very little back. Avoid, avoid, avoid, it’s a scam.

    I called around to shop for quotes on a cross country move, I am in the very beginning stages and I want to make sure I know what I’m getting into. I got a quote from New Start Relocation and while they were reasonably priced, when I started to consider the others costs I am going to have (redo floors in my house before we rent it out, deposit on new place to live for starters)

    I quickly realized that I don’t think I can afford to pay movers- if I did pay movers then I’m going to wipe my savings out and I’m not willing to do that. I let the person know, Madison, that unfortunately this my situation. She said “do you remember the quote I sent you???” Which felt very condescending, especially when I let her know I do have other costs to consider. Another company I had requested a quote from, when I told them the same thing that I don’t think we can afford movers and we might have to just do it all ourselves, told me they understood and good luck. That would be the appropriate response here.

    If I could give this company zero stars I would. Initially I had the best communication with multiple people. First person was my first estimate. No problem, totally fair price and we moved forward. Second person I talked to solidified my updated estimate. The price definitely increased due to the amount of boxes we weren't sure we were going to have. OK no problem, the price increase was also totally acceptable. Then I was told that I would be paying 3 dollars a cubic foot. So the only variable we had was the box count. Which we could expect roughly $10 a box if the count wasn't exact on pick up. In our 2 estimates we made a deposit on each.

    The total of the 2 deposits plus the payment on pick up, should have covered the whole move. But upon pick up, I was told I needed 300 more square feet. But we had no choice but to pay for it because New Start would not answer the phone to address the problem in the moment and all of our belongings were already loaded on the truck so we signed and paid another deposit.

    Then upon drop off, I discovered multiple items that were tagged twice, multiple items of mine that were completely destroyed. So many boxes were trashed, one of my storage bins made of plastic was completely broken. Then the only way to get the rest of my belongs was to pay another 4000$. No explanation of where it came from, or answers from New Start. So yet again, we had to pay in order to get our things off the truck. For 2 weeks, I have been calling all of the numbers listed for New Start, sent multiple emails to the people I spoke with and the main info email. And zero response. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. I would suggest a uhaul over this.

My original complaint earlier this year detailed the blatant dishonesty and manipulative behavior of Jonathan, who should never have been allowed anywhere near customers. He quoted one price, then changed it after the contract was signed, invented policies on the fly, and flat-out lied about what was included. When challenged, he deflected, gaslit, or denied ever making those promises. It was a masterclass in unprofessionalism, and it turned an already stressful move into a nightmare.

    Recently, I was contacted by a customer service rep who told me the company had fired the entire staff and management team because of the horrible reviews and how customers were treated. That tells you everything you need to know about the way this business was being run. She then offered me $150 in “compensation” for over $3,000 in damages and losses to my belongings. I told her it wasn’t worth the call, and her response was that the company was “taking money out of their own pockets to help me out.” The audacity.

    This company operates without integrity, without ethics, and without any regard for the people they mislead and harm. A shiny website cannot disguise the fact that this is a scam operation that leaves customers feeling cheated, angry, and powerless. New Start Relocation should be investigated and shut down immediately. Do not trust them with your money, your belongings, or your peace of mind

    My husband and I were moving from NC to TN. We had never used a moving company to move states so didn’t know what to expect price wise. We first scheduled with a local company we had used before and trusted. I contacted them in January for a March move. Two weeks before the move I reached out to confirm everything and they said the dates we wanted were not available. They had originally quoted $13,000 for 2 trucks. He said all our stuff could fit in one but would be over the weight limit so we would have to do 2. Although it was a lot we trusted them as movers so were ok with paying that. When they said they couldn’t do those dates I panicked and started emailing other companies to get quotes. New Start Relocation called me and started a quote for me. I didn’t know they were brokers. The quote they gave was just under $6000 for one truck.

    I asked multiple times if one truck was going to be ok cuz the other company that came to see our stuff said we would need 2 because of the weight. Gianna said yes it would be fine. She said it was important I let her know if we would be using them because dates fill up quickly. I got one or 2 other quotes that were around $7000-$8000. I thought since the New start estimate wasn’t ridiculously low it was ok to trust it and went with them. She even gave me a discount of $500 off. We paid half as a deposit. A couple days after that our original company told me they could move us the dates we needed and with one truck. At this point it was too late, we already gave the deposit and I didn’t know why all of a sudden they said one truck was ok. I wish I had just talked with them more and worked it out with them because what happened next is all a nightmare.

    A few days before the move they call for a final box count. My count went up from 100 boxes to 175 but more than half of those were small or xs boxes. I also forgot some items in the garage like trash cans and a small desk. In total about 10 missing items and those extra boxes bumped the price to $9000. Suzy gave me a $500 discount tho too. And this total was still less than the original $13,000 so it was ok. The day of the move Anthony from first class moving service showed up. He was rude at the get go but I try to be kind a patient with everyone and give the benefit of the doubt. He did a walk through and said we had more stuff than was on the inventory (we didn’t. I went through and made sure everything in the house was accounted for) so he upped the price I think $2000 more dollars. Then he added a fee for the piano which we were already charged a fee for. He added a second fee to that too.

    He added a fee for our tool chest having tools in it. Other companies had said to leave the tools in so I thought that was just a standard way to do it. He charged us a fee to wrap the washer and dryer even though moving blankets were included in the moving contract. He charged me for the mattress covers I provided (I didn’t notice that until 5 days after the move). Then after all these fees and the walk through he said the price wouldn’t change. Then at the end he pulls me aside and said actually we have more stuff than he thought (even though he did the walk through and saw everything!) so he needed to add $1500 more for 500 more cubic feet of stuff. Somehow our 1400 sq ft home had 2500 cubic feet of stuff. We still had stuff in the garage and house and he had just added that final 500 cubic feet but I didn’t ask them to move anything else.

    I was so sick over all the fees and just the stress of this move that I left a bunch of stuff at the house and my mother in law and brother in law went back the following week and rented a van (for $1000) to get the rest of the stuff. When the movers unloaded our stuff it was a nightmare. They had boxes sitting in puddles so they were falling apart. They stacked them floor to ceiling in our house. The stacks were falling. Boxes were being crushed. Some of the boxes were upside down or sideways. They piled a bunch of our furniture in the middle of the living room. Like made an actual pile of chairs, tables, benches, pillows and blankets. Our house was a disaster when they left. We have moved 10 times with zero incidents. Zero broken items. This move so much of our stuff was damaged it was unbelievable! I sent photos to new start relocation services and they were somewhat apologetic but didn’t really give much of a solution.

    This conversation was how I learned about being charged for the mattress covers but there was no talk of refunding us for them. We had the insurance so I filed a claim. You only have 7 days and the amount of damaged boxes we have we couldn’t get through them in 7 days so I’m sure I’ll find more damage that we won’t get reimbursed for. I feel like this service was a scam. At least for me and our situation. They gave a low estimate with a discount. It wasn’t so low to raise red flags but low enough to make me consider them a top choice. I didn’t know they weren’t the actual moving company and that’s my fault for not researching before booking. I usually do much better than this but I was feeling rushed and stressed.

    Anyway they start you with a low rate and it keeps going up. Changing it on moving day seemed unfair because at that point we can’t do anything about it. We need to move. So as they are putting stuff on the truck the price just keeps going up. We in total spent $13,900 on these horrible movers m, which is more than the original crew we were supposed to have which included 2 trucks and movers we knew were great. Then my mother in law had to spend an extra $1000 plus gas and hotel expenses to help us bring the rest of our stuff since the movers made me feel so uncomfortable and like an inconvenience to put the rest of the stuff on the truck. I wouldn’t ever use a broker for a move. I’d pick a local company where I can find reviews about them and know that the price is set and can’t almost double on the day of the move.

    Oh! Also no one told us the day of the move the company wouldn’t take a credit card! We paid the deposit with a card. And the extra that was added before the move was paid with credit. Moving day. A Saturday. He tells us we can pay with certified check or money order or personal check but if it’s a personal check if it doesn’t clear by the next day (a Sunday when all banks are closed) they won’t unload our stuff until it does. The banks around us were all closed because we live in a small beach town and the banks just don’t open on the weekends. Thankful my mother in law was in town and ran to a bank in the city and got a certified check. But then the price changed so she had to write a personal check too. It was a mess. I hated this move because of this company and the movers they picked for us.

    DO NOT USE THEM! AKA Eagle Movers Group. They are moving brokers (DON'T MOVE ANYTHING). They contract with Moving Companies to move you. ADDED COSTS when using a moving broker. Go directly to a moving company and cut out these Scam Artists. They charged me a binding estimate fee $$8,190.00 plus a charge for 2434 @2.80 a cu. ft. of $6,815.20. When the movers they contracted arrived the cubic feet went up to 3525 cu.ft. for $9,870.00 and would not load me unless I paid them.

    I called Eagle and they told me their binding estimate was just an estimate. I wanted to cancel the move but they told me I would lose the my deposit paid of $7.335.00. They also did not tell the mover it was a binding estimate and could not charge more than the $6,8l5.20. I was moved on one 26' truck that I now know would only hold 2000 cu.ft. Held us hostage on moving day with house all boxed and no alternative but to move. I ended up paying $21,022.00 for my move from TN to VA that should have costs $9,335.00. Numerous calls, texts, emails, letters they have not responded. I know now after research you need to know the size truck to be used and the cu.ft. it will hold. Moving is the largest scam going. BE SURE to find a reputable company and read numerous reviews. I would upload Bill of Lading but it's a Carbon Copy and no one would provide me with a copy of the original.

    This review is as of 3/14/2025. I will update as need, we contracted with this company to move from California to Georgia. They provided good customer service once they got the money. Upon the mover arriving at the pickup location, they requested an additional 345.00 stating the apartment was too far from the elevator. That was red flag #1. They did the move out on February 22, 2025. To date, we still haven't received our items. I have to constantly call this company to get an update. If I had to do it all over, I would have chosen a different company. Customer service is critical in any business. Focusing on what you can do instead of what you can't do is what makes the difference. This company should remember that good and bad customer service interactions affect brand loyalty. More people will tell about a bad experience than a good one.

    - They introduced themselves as movers but they are just brokers, they don't have any inventory of trucks and stuff.

    - They forced me on the phone saying that they can't lock to price and take absurd amount of deposit. 50% of the actual moving cost.
    - When I try to cancel they said will only return ~20% of the deposit back!

    I have never in my life written an online review but feel the need to write this one. In summary, I am begging, imploring, PLEADING with anyone reading this to NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. I felt defrauded, lied to, deceived to and outright disrespected once being dumb enough to agree to use this moving company. I was provided a quote to move my 2BR apartment of ~$4.8k from NYC to Arkansas. It is important to note that this quote was based on a 20 min FaceTime with the sales rep where I opened every door, cabinet, walked through every room and described in detail to ensure they saw everything we needed to move. When the "quality assurance" individual called to ensure there would be no cost overruns on the day of the move, they forced me to pay another $500 because, based on the description I provided of everything we needed to move, some items were not appropriately described. Frustrating, but whatever.

    Then the day of the move came and when the movers got there. Very long story short (after they started packing no less) the movers quoted me nearly $13,000. Yes that's right. NEARLY TRIPLE the original quote. I, of course, immediately called New Start and received nothing but "our original quote was just an estimate." After nearly 2 hours on the phone (while movers were still packing and I virtually had no choice), New Start offered me $250 for the inconvenience.

    The sales team at NSR also told me that my items could be put in storage for 30-days for free and once I requested the items, it would be delivered within 24 hours. Turns out that was a bold face lie too. It's actually within 3 weeks. No sympathy, no remorse, no nothing. Only reference to the 50 pages of legalese they force you to sign where evidently the text is a complete misrepresentation of what the salesperson said. In summary, I viewed my move as pure fraud. I cannot implore you enough to never ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever use this company.

    Customer service is terrible. Lost my $875 deposit because I will not give the another penny to this company after how I was treated. I had to reschedule 2 days before move due to the sudden death of my mother in law. I could not give the $400 right then to switch dates because my husband was literally flying to deal with the death of his mom. I asked for Suzy and was told she was busy… Then Suzy became available to answer not let me speak and scream at me and hung up on me after refusing to let me speak to a manager or owner telling me they are too busy to deal with a customer when running a multi million dollar company.

    All I wanted to ask is if I could pay the penalty fee next business day and was not even get the opportunity to ask. Suzy told me that she gets paid to deal with me. I cannot talk to her boss. It is what it is. Pay by end of day or I’ll cancel you. Suzy also told me she was standing by the associate who told me she was not there and they both laughed. It was so unprofessional and and disrespectful. I’m honestly in shock at how I was treated.

    I booked my move well in advance, and based on the contract and initial communication, I was led to believe that my belongings would be delivered within 1-5 days of pickup. On Monday, 3/17 at 2:48 pm, I spoke with your team and was informed that my belongings would be delivered the following Sunday, based on the distance (next-day delivery). Given this assurance, I packed my car accordingly, expecting my items to arrive within the one-day timeframe. However, it has now been several days, and I am still without my belongings, in freezing temperatures, without essentials such as a bed, coats, and a couch. When I reached out to customer service, I spoke with Princess, who insisted there was no issue with the service, and no accountability would be taken for the miscommunication on their inventory team because the contract says 1-5 days.

    However, I had previously spoken with Nick, who confirmed (on a recorded line) that my items would arrive the following day (March 23rd). Additionally, Princess told me that phone calls are not recorded, despite the automated line clearly stating otherwise. This is concerning as it directly contradicts the information I was given. Had no one from New Start told me next delivery I would have packed my personal car up with belonging to get me through the 1-5 day estimate per the contract. I would have made different arrangements, and I am now left in an extremely inconvenient situation due to the lack of training. However, I want to highlight Gianna the individual I booked with. She was great. Also the two drivers were fantastic as well very personable guys and made sure my belongings were secure.

    Be careful using this company. Since they are a broker, they will determine how much space is needed and where it will be going. Even though we extensively went through all my stuff, the initial quote was for much less space then was actually needed. Fortunately for them they have written into the contract that any extra needed pace will cost $x per sq foot. They also will tell you the dates that the delivery will occur, but that only means it is what will be passed over the carrier and is not a guarantee as is implied. These dates are really just availability dates, when you are available for pickup and what day you are available to start getting delivery. This means it can be delivered anytime on or after that date. I will say that everyone I worked with was nice and professional. That gets them some credit on my star rating.

    However, I felt like the initial quote was purposely low to get me to sign up for the service knowing that when the movers show up and let me know that I will need more space, I have really no choice to agree and pay the extra money. The broker said it would be, but turns out they have no control over that, they just use it as a tactic to get the sale. Be aware, if it feels too good to be true, it likely is.

    I booked this company to assist my 16 yr old son and I with a small move one way 400 miles. I was quoted a price and lied to about a base rate price. I was told by the sweet polite Cristian man that I never heard from again this: told, "Oh it’s one way and a small move so your total cost will be discounted and reasonable." That is absolutely not the case. I was told my total cost was 1750 and usually a flat rate of 2000 is charged but since I was being flexible and they wanted to help due to the loss of family member they were going to make it a smooth stress free move. Another lie! Employee was nice during initial contact and reservation then when I gave my inventory they wanted another couple hundred dollars and I was told there is no such thing as a base rate price. Another lie I was told during booking them. Then they said, "Oh if you’re flexible with dates you will get a better rate." LIE!!!

    Then the dispatch calls calls. Asks me if they can come a day ahead of schedule. I am thinking ok if I’m flexible with the schedule better price. Nope. I sat around waiting. No show. Then was told, "We will be there in the am between 8am/ 1 pm." Nope. Another no show, finally after calling and complaining I get a time for the last flexible day as I needed to return to my home state after assisting my son with his father’s funeral. Imagine the inconvenience. Then upon pick up they ask for 1,000 more dollars. Ok fine. Hidden fees and things they do not tell you is a understatement. Then I sign a document for delivery to my home and am told I have to be there to receive belongings and make final payment. Yeah just wait for the cherry on top. I get to drop location, and after 3 days of my son waiting for his clothes and bed I call customer service due to getting the run around from dispatch.

    The young lady as I am making my complaint begins yelling at me and when I interject to ask why she is screaming at me the customer she replies cause your just going in circles and nothing is wrong with how your move has gone so far besides the movers asking for gratuity the delay if your read the contract it say up to 7 /10 business days another thing I was never told. Finally belongings of my son get to my home in a completely different truck than the one they were loaded into! They bring painting in that are not ours then oh wait they show up at 10 pm and before they will unload anything they want more money and me to sign a bunch of paperwork including innovatory paperwork. I asked how can I do inventory when nothing as been unloaded? They don’t care. Meanwhile I have to work at 3 am ok. So it is now the weekend I decide to put my son's bed together missing parts. Yay!

    Oh and let’s not forget damaged boxes. All his brand new clothes with tags soaking wet. I don’t know how when they were in a bin plastic bin at that? Then a brand new generator missing.. Gone. Never unloaded. I call the driver. He says, "I apologize. I will call and ask but it’s not me it’s the company I’m trying to help blah blah." Ok well this company does not care about your belongings or the service they provide and they up-charge the crap out of you. Lie about price of move, and take your stuff too. When I expressed I felt like I was being scammed customer service girl said, "If we wanted to scam you we would of just kept your deposit money and your stuff."

    Ha well here I am damaged property, missing property and out of 3,000 dollars of my money. Thanks for the smooth transition. My son will be elated to see all his messed up stuff and find out his things aren’t here after his loss of his dad. Do not book this company. Save yourself the stress and money. If negative 20 was a rating I would give that. Do not hire this company!!!

    We went with New Start Relocation because they were the best priced movers from California to Texas. We had our sales rep. Michael put in a clause that if our home did not sell in California that our deposit would be fully refundable in the quote / contract that we signed. It just so happened that our move did not happen and when we went to cancel per our agreement the billing department said we could only get a credit. This was the opposite of what all the representatives I had spoke to told us and the way the clause in our agreement was written.

    I called the customer service department per the cancelation email instructions and they argued with me saying only a credit would be given. This was obviously very frustrating. Finally Jeff ** called and we had a pretty in depth conversation and after analyzing the way the contract was written up which was "Cancellation policy extended in the event that the client`s home does not close. Close date is set for the 27th Of January. Written proof of void/null contract required." We both agreed that the actual cancellation policy should have been extended just on the event my home did not sell NOT just until the 27Th which is what the billing department and customer service representative was telling me.

    Even with this after Jeff and myself and Jeff and the billing department went back and forth we finally came to an agreement that seemed fair for both company and myself. I would have never left a positive review if Jeff had not called me and us been able to talk through the issue. I still lost half my deposit but was given a "lifetime" credit for the other half. I do believe half refunded and half given a "lifetime" credit is fair. I would say make sure to read everything very contractually before signing. Make sure there is a clause that is written properly and in your favor very black and white if you will move forward with New start relocation. Other than that I do believe my issues have been resolved and I do believe if we would have moved we still would have used New start Relocation.

    Do not move with this company. I’m currently in the middle of a move from Oklahoma to Georgia and the whole process has been a total disaster. The commercial girl, Gianna, promised that could be done in 2 business days, which of course it was a lie as part of aggressive selling tactics. Now my things are on the move. I was promised it would be delivered 5 days after the pick up and today I was informed (because I’ve been insisting calling) in a week. Also they charged me $2,000 more right before starting the pick up. Overall it’s a shady and untruthful company, and very rude.

    I called this company on behalf of my daughter and son-in-law to help them move after getting married. They are both military. They are located in different states. They had purchased a house and needed everything moved from one state to another before his deployment. In talking with New Start Relocation he informed me they could take care of the move and disassemble/reassemble everything with gas for $2220.13. I informed him that this is my first time ever doing anything like this and wanted to make sure 2 service members were taken care of. He reassured me this would get them moved and everything set back up in the home.

    My son-in-law took the day off and no pick up happened. (1st time for scheduled pick up) They said they would be coming the next day. Again no pick up and missed work (2nd scheduled pick up) and was supposed to leave the state as he was driving halfway to the state his wife was on that day. Had a hotel room could not get a refund on that. Finally on the 3rd try pick up happened. My son-in-law drove down but missed two days with his wife and the drop off did not happen while they were together. Drop off didn't happen until 13 days after pick up with no reassembly and a charge of over $1,400 more than the original quote that was given. My daughter was left by herself with nothing set up and had to pay $1,400 more than what New Start Relocation told us. Disappointed and not okay to treat people that way.

    The actual movers were fantastic — professional, efficient, and took great care of my belongings. They made the stressful process of moving much easier, and I can’t say enough good things about the crew on the ground.

    That said, the customer service side of the company was a different story. Communication was frustrating, with delayed responses and a lack of clarity around scheduling and billing. At one point, I seriously considered canceling due to how difficult it was to get simple answers.

    However, it seems they’ve recently revamped their customer care team, and I did notice an improvement toward the end of my experience. The newer reps were more responsive and helpful, which gives me hope for the future.

Never once told me that it could take up to two weeks for my move and me and my children were stranded with no furniture no clothes nothing for almost 2 weeks and there was no outreach once the sale was made new start location just disappeared. Didn’t return emails didn’t return phone calls. Literally the worst experience I’ve ever had do not use this place.

    This is not a reputable company. Only a handful of people that work at this company. The owner does not take calls and the staff if trained to bait and switch clients and then blame the client after they go over and confirm all information and the details. Then say you didn't read the fine print in the contract. I was quoted to move two 10FT X 10FT storage units from Florida to Texas and then told I had more than expected and they upcharged me $1100.00 at the time of pick up. There were only the same two storage units. They said there was more cubit feet. However the units were not full.

    Then they said delivery on the 17th and called me on the 17th to tell me driver will call when he is 24-48hrs away. Then the dispatcher Carla told me that I didn't read the contract and, "Thanks for empowering women and hung up." This is their manager. Then after speaking to Jamie at the office, another supervisor, he told me, "Tough luck" and would not allow me to talk after asking him several times to, "Please let me finish a sentence." They are unprofessional and shady.

    I could upload tons of texts, emails and voicemails indicating what a nightmare it was to work with this company. Paul **, broker at NSR (aka Eagle Moving Group), assured me everything would run smoothly during his sales pitch, including linking me to Perfectly Fast Moving as the actual moving guys. But the minute I signed on the dotted line, customer service was nonexistent. He was unreachable the day of my move when the guys showed up without straps or moving blankets and refused to take 30% of my stuff. He was unreachable after that, including his email once bouncing back but also never returning my calls or texts even after I submitted a complaint to NSR that they "escalated" for review. I never heard back from NSR at all in fact.

    Fast forward, and aside from the day of pickup going terribly with the guys stacking things like the opposite of professionals and refusing to take stuff since "if we take all your stuff, things will get damaged; this way we ensure nothing gets damaged." Sounded like a promise to me, but my stuff arrived damaged -- all the furniture that was never wrapped in blankets (although they said, "we will wrap them at the facility before they go cross-country") and therefore not protected, and my bike. Several of my plastic bins were broken as well, and some items were literally hand-delivered to me without a box.

    Other items were completely missing. This is aside from the pickup guys telling me to get to my destination within two weeks, since they can deliver on 12/19/2024; my stuff was originally estimated with a 9-21 day delivery range, which puts me at 12/26/2024, but my stuff didn't actually arrive until 1/16/2025 -- and only after 13 hours notice instead of the promised 24. I'm glad more wasn't missing or damaged, but all these issues were preventable, and promising to be responsive and helpful and assure me a good experience while going unresponsive and pointing fingers at all the liars as if their employees aren't responsible for their words is unacceptable. I will never use movers again; I will simply do it myself, even if it costs more, because in the end, it still cost me more -- with damaged items, with late items I could not use while delayed, with peace of mind.

    Updated on 01/27/2025: Continued issues with the scam of a company that is New Start Relocation. We're not even sure their business name is legitimate following a phone call and email from Frank D., who explained that he is a general manager. His email address is **. For our one move, we've now dealt with New Start Relocation, Eagle Moving Group, First Class Moving Services, and lastly MW Moving. Apparently our issues have been escalated to management, but our issues are far from resolved and appear to be getting worse and more complicated.

    Almost one month into our move, neither First Class Moving Services or New Start Relocation (or whatever they're called) have been able to produce paperwork or a receipt. First Class Moving Services called me to inform me he is "out of the country" and unable to provide a copy of our paperwork. Frank D. told me he has known the owner of Anthony B. at First Class Moving Services for fourteen years. It's bizarre to me that business associates for that long can't align their professional and federally regulated responsibilities of providing paperwork, which includes freight weight obligations. Families needing to relocate beware. Please read all the reviews posted on Consumer Affairs and elsewhere before you engage in this fraudulent company.

    Original Review: Unfortunately, we didn't read enough of the negative reviews before booking our move with New Start Relocation. We too wish we could select zero or negative stars. We first spoke with whom we thought was a knowledgeable salesman, Michael **, around Thanksgiving 2024. He provided an estimate over the phone, and we thought the verbally discussed price and logistics were fair. He even mentioned the New Start movers are uniformed employees and did not mention New Start is a broker. Moot point now, and they dupe the customer via subsequent phone calls. A follow-up call with Michael sold us on an "all-inclusive packing" option, in which we were required to give an additional deposit totaling $5,662.25. He said that all-in amount takes care of everything.

    We hope their calls are recorded for quality assurance, because a subpoena of phone conversation recordings will prove the multiple lies told by multiple employees of New Start. On 12/26/2024 we received a Quality Assurance call from Suzy A. at New Start, ensuring us that our worst-case total expense would not exceed the amount she sent via email, which was around $11,600 for the entirety of our home belongings and packing service. When the carrier, First Class Moving Services, showed up for the move, the leader of the crew told us they were unable to perform any packing services that we had already paid for via deposit, and that to perform the entire move would more than double our "worst case" total. The carrier also informed us that he and his crew do not receive any money from New Start.

    We asked New Start how our deposit was allocated, and as of this writing they have not provided an answer or receipt of any kind, which is used for verification by Consumer Affairs. Back to the move; upon loading approximately 70% of our home and delivering it to our new home, the carrier informed us there would be an additional $300 charge for one piano bulk price (that was discussed ad nauseum on the phone with New Start and the carrier) and walking up a 50 foot long driveway that he assured me would not be a problem when we spoke on the phone. He even looked at our home on Google Earth and said it was a “movers dream”. Our move is still not complete and will require another 20’ truck, significant packing time, packing materials, and approximately 11 hours of driving and fuel expense.

    We contacted Customer Service Supervisor, Ashley **, about the issues, and she offered us a $1,500 settlement, which is about 20% of what it would take to complete our move. We asked if the settlement would negate any further interaction between us, and she cemented “no” that we could contact them any time and keep this issue open.

    The “settlement” email reads verbatim, “(The Customer), accepting the refund and the terms of this email, the customer understands he/she, is not due or entitled to any more refunds, and will not disparage New Start Relocation, or otherwise take any action which could reasonably be expected to adversely affect the professional online reputation of the company, officers, agents or employees on any online review websites. The customer also understands by accepting the refund the customer has satisfactorily settled with New Start Relocation and will not seek any future reimbursements or payments or hereby pursue any legal action against New Start Relocation.”

    Our move is far from complete and will take significant financial and time resources that our family cannot afford. My family chose New Start Relocation based on their conning and swindling tactics. We are contacting the Boynton Beach, FL local government about our horrible experience with New Start and will reference the multitude of recently posted Consumer Affairs reviews. Shame on New Start Relocation, their terrible customer service and unethical business practices.

    I am amazed that this company could receive a 5 rating. Our experience with them started with a very polite and professional agent. He gave us a quote based on what we believed we would have on a load. We called them when we realized that we had more than we expected to add on. Both Suzie and Noah stated that the extra would be minimal maybe an extra $200.00 at the most. Well that last contract we signed was double. Our house had sold and we had to continue to use them as the closing date was in 10 days. The moving truck came on the right day but 4 to 5 hours late. He finished the load then told us we had over 800 cf more than New Start had quoted. The price had doubled. If we did not pay he would unload our overage in our driveway. We had to pay by check.

    We called New Start at 9:00 pm, told them the issue and agent said he would call in Monday since this was a Friday night. They never called. When we phoned them they stated they had to review the movers inventory list and would call back Again we called several times and they said they had never received the inventory. We called the moving company and they stated they had sent it. The moving company came to unload in our new state and we had to pay an extra as the Mayflower Van could not unload in our neighborhood.. So this move ended costing us over double what we were promised.

    We finally reached a man named Ryan at New Start. He stated they would give us a small refund as they had not viewed the inventory list after we had moved into our new home. They did not give us a refund or ever call us back. This company will tell falsehoods and be so understanding only for their own personal financial gain. Then they will drop the customer with horrific and no customer service when the price has increased to an exorbitant amount. Do not use this company!!! This whole experience was very stressful and we had could find no recourse but to write this review.

    We recently moved from the Bay Area in California to the central coast about 2.5 hours. Not a huge distance but a big move for us, and we needed to have everything stored for a couple of weeks so we were limited to movers that also had storage capabilities. When I spoke with Nicholas G I was impressed with how helpful he seemed and all the prior communication was great. We had a pod the was approximately 70% full they took that into consideration for our over all cubic feet of storage needed. Went through as much details as I could with what was in the house and how large the boxes we were using etc.

    We’ve never used movers so didn’t really understand how this all worked. Someone called a few days before and told us it was better to add on to our estimate and if we didn’t need it we wouldn’t pay for it, but even with that we were so far off. I was told they would come with a 26 foot truck but only pay for how much we filled it. When the movers showed up the truck was about one third full and we were informed that the calculations were way off and we needed more space than allotted.

    I kept saying to get the big items first because we could move the smaller stuff ourselves. They didn’t do it that way I guess trying to fill all the gaps but our king sized bed was one of the last things that went in. Anyway by this time we knew we were going to need another truck!!! Had the truck been empty I think it would have all fit. So now it’s dark and our belongings are sitting on the street in front of our house waiting for this other truck!!! They went and just rented a small truck from U-Haul I think.

    We paid one third deposit upfront, it was supposed to be another third at pick and final third at delivery, but we used twice as much as the estimate so we owed much more. At this time we were told that we had to pay with Zelle or Venmo not the credit card I paid with originally. When you pay someone for the first time only $1000 at a time per day is allowed. I asked “can’t I pay tomorrow? You have all of our stuff as leverage.” No it had to go through in 3 separate transactions and to the name of the owner not the company which felt very sketchy!!!

    I will say the guys working were great and really careful wrapping every thing and we had only a few things that arrived broken or damaged. The delivery was scheduled for Nov 15. We arrived the day before and this is when I found out that the delivery date is an estimate. It could be up to 7 days!! I finally did see that portion of the contract when the guys arrived with our delivery (in one truck so it could have all fit in one to start with if they would have come with an empty truck). He told me I should have got that before. They needed the balance due before they would take one thing off the truck!!! They got to our house at about 7 pm. There was only two guys and the other end there were 4. My husband and I unwrapped a lot of items and my husband assembled the bed which was fine because we were thrilled to finally have a bed to sleep in!

    These poor guys were so overworked they said when they left our house at about 10 pm they were heading to San Diego no stopping to sleep for the night. We would have packed very differently had we know that our belongings may not get there for a week. We had to go buy some basic kitchen items and an air mattress. Every day I would call and ask for an approximate delivery day and they could not give me an answer!! I finally spoke to someone (I wish I had her name) that listened to me and called me back with a date of delivery. I don’t understand why they couldn’t schedule better. Logistics is what they are supposed to be doing. This ended up costing more than twice what we expected and the amount of stress involved was the worst part. Maybe they should get Amazon to teach them how to plan for a delivery!

    Booking the move was seamless as was the pickup. The delivery has been a disaster. My goods were promised within 17 days. On day 22 I received a call from the driver at 4:30pm that he would be here within 2 hours. I confirmed that he would accept Venmo as payment as the bank would close shortly. 30 minutes later he texted to say he’d be here the next day. I called to ask what time and he said 9-1. At 11:30 I texted to ask if he had an estimated time. He replied “no”. At 2:30 he called to say he’d would be 3 hours and could not accept Venmo.

    I called the office and explained the situation and they were no help. Said cash or money order only and if they could deliver today I’d be charged a receiver fee and storage. While on the phone with the office the driver texted asking my address. The problem is probably with the delivery driver but the way they have handled this is unacceptable. Hopefully my goods will arrive intact and undamaged but I will never use this company again.

    Although polite and professional on the phone, do not expect high customer service. They never returned calls, mis-led and over promised for our moving experience. They are a moving broker and once they contract out your move they have little or no control (or concern) for your move proceeding efficiently. We were moving a whole household- full size moving van was supposed to be used. Contractors show up on day of move around noon with a box truck, and it was not for shuttling up to the van on main road. Indicate they will be taking loads to a storage facility. Not what we were told by New Start. The contractor staff seemed inexperienced, had no tools and had not even set up a nearby storage facility. A move out which should have been 1 day ran into 2+ days thereby delaying our departure.

He never left me hanging and even though there were a couple hiccups he kept his word. I also learned a lot about how this interstate moving works.

    My advice to anyone looking to move from state to state is to plan on being without your things for 2-4 weeks. I received most of my items. The only thing I haven’t been able to locate is the power cord to my bedroom tv which I ordered from Amazon along with the screws. I could very much have it but just haven’t located it and the legs to one side of my couch were stripped so I’ll have to look into having that fixed. But by working with Avetis he saw that I received my delivery through him.

    Another thing I learned is that your first delivery date starts the clock on your delivery. I’m not sure if those who had a bad review received an opportunity to work with someone because of the review however I did. And I’m pleased that it became positive and my stress has been alleviated. Seriously, I’ve never been lied to more or had a worse experience with any company in my entire life.     Update on 08/01/2025 : This is an update on my original one star review of New Start Relocation that I posted on December 27th of 2024. I received a call from New Start a couple of weeks ago (Over six months after I had posted my original bad review!) Their representative named ** said that the owners of the company had read my review and wanted to make things right with me, so I would withdrawal my review. He said that they would be willing to offer some sort of compensation if I did.

    In my original review, I had told how their $5000.00 moving quote had more than doubled to $10,025 by the time the job was done. So I had to come up with an extra $5000.00! He told me that he would talk to his boss and get me to me with how much they would compensate me with. Yesterday, a young lady called and wanted to follow up. She said that her owners were willing to reimburse me (bribe me) $450.00 if I was willing to withdraw my original one star review. I nicely ask her to tell her boss's to go to hell!

    Original review: I contacted New Start about moving my furniture, household goods and motorcycle from Hutchinson, Ks. to Hendersonville, Tn. I explained to them that I needed an expedited move, because I was having to help my 94-year-old mother. New Start's sales representative Michael ** assured me that the move would only take 2-3 days, and gave me a quote of $5000.00. When I was contacted by the driver of the truck, he informed me that he was just picking up my items, and then would be taking them to a warehouse.

    I immediately called my representatives at New Start, and he promised me that he would take care of it. The next day, New Start's "Quality Control Manager" called me and assured me that everything was under control. He also gave me a direct number to the dispatcher, so I could call them directly if I had any other questions or problems...The day that the movers arrived, they claimed they knew nothing about the expedited move or the motorcycle. I tried calling my rep, and could not reach him. I left several messages for him to call me back...he never did... I called the direct dispatcher's number several times, and nobody would ever answer. I finally had no choice but to completely renegotiate with the driver, and had to pay a total of $10,250.00! MORE THAN DOUBLE WHAT I HAD BEEN PROMISED!!!

    This company is what I would define as “questionable in ethics”. Sales reps that are kind until you don’t entertain their ideas who then turn rude and dismissive, deceptive fine print on their documents, uncooperative reps when you choose to cancel the reservation for moving. It required me notifying my bank and lawyer of this dispute to cancel the bank before New Start would take my request seriously and cancel my reservation. I was told “think on it a couple days” and that my choice to cancel “didn’t make any sense”. They actively hold out and won’t entertain contact or requests to cancels in hopes that you will miss the 72 hour window to cancel so all they have to provide is “credit” for their services and you won’t get your 800, 1K + $ reservation fee back.

    Military members, do not waste your own money or the tax payers money with this company. The additional reviews about hidden costs, uncooperative movers, surprise fees, and exponential cost increases seem on par with the reps behaviors. If you get “Jay” on the phone, avoid him and request a different rep. He says that you should trust him and he won’t lie to you way too much to not be lying to you.

    Had a 20X10 storage unit FULL for transport to N.H., from Wimauma, FL. I told the exact truth about my load (mostly boxes: "homepack")....The rep did not see the load but called me a "liar" and said I had to stop lying about my load which they said was TWICE what I claimed!. That was of course false and Mr. ** was the one who said that and offered to keep my things on a truck for 3 months for 2 payments of $1800 each which was frightening, considering the amount of theft by illegals and others in that area of Florida!!. We had to cancel the down payment with our credit card company. I am a retired teacher and do NOT appreciate being called a liar. There are too many of these operating out of So. Fla. and all appear to be DISHONEST and should be shut down a.s.a.p..

    You hear all of these horror stories about moving cross country and I can personally say I was skeptical to hire the pros myself.     I recently moved from Annapolis, Maryland to Akron, Ohio. Upon checking the cost of doing it myself and renting a U-Haul. I noticed that it would be easier for a moving company to do this. I’ve asked to speak to a manager for the last week and all I get is she will call me back, I didn’t received pictures of the things they put on the truck (I was out of town when they picked my things up). I don’t even know where my things are I keep calling and I have yet to receive a call back. I’m going to be making a call to the BBB on Monday

    Horrible experience. We were told our quote was firm, should Not change. We sent pictures of all items, they said No Problem. We spoke with them 3 times prior to shipping days. The truck was 2.25 hours late. Upon arrival, the driver said it will cost more than what we were contracted for. The amount being just shy of 3 times the quoted amount. We sent them away. We provided pictures of all items to be shipped. We are being told we may Not get our $1200 deposit back because the truck showed up. We feel Scammed. And now, all our documents that were Texted have disappeared. They are Not returning our calls or messages.

    If I could provide a zero star rating I would. The initial sales representative was extremely professional with the personality of a car salesman. As a customer looking to move you provide all the details possible when working at creating an estimate. I was told my truck would be a 26 ft so there would be plenty of space to accommodate my items. The move was for a 2 bedroom apartment, 50 pieces to be exact. The movers showed up and immediate said there is not enough space to accommodate my furniture and I would need to pay an additional $1500. The estimate was $2600 with $1038.00 deposit.

    I called to speak with customer service and was immediately told that when NewStart Relocation quotes furniture it is based upon products from IKEA. Therefore I would need to pay the additional money. I refused and cancelled the move. DO NOT TRUST NEW START RELOCATION for your move needs. Please find a company that is not a broker. Go directly to a local mover because that’s who they outsource the job to. There is no longer a direct person to speak with about your concerns. As a military member about to retire this is a tremendous setback for my move and will cost me additional time and money. NEW START RELOCATION is a misleading company that doesn’t offer transparency or honor their pricing. DO NOT waste your time with this company and do not fall for “we support our military because our company is veteran owned.”

    Do Not go with New Start Relocation! Complete scam. They schedule a pickup and delivery, then completely take advantage of the stipulation "delays can occur". Delivery was scheduled in the contract for the 8th or 9th. Received a message it would be delivered between the 2nd or 5th. Then was told delivery would be on the 10th. Now they refuse to work with me and schedule a convenient time. Want to charge $150 an hour or $700 a day for a standing fee. Not to mention the $75 fee to walk over 50 feet because they deem parking areas to be "hazardous" for an 18-wheeler. The "General Manager" is extremely rude, dismissive, and condescending. The only redeeming quality is the driver and passenger in my particular case were understanding and helpful. Its too bad they are just contracted out. DO NOT use this company. Go directly with the moving company.

    CURRENTLY FILING A COMPLAINT WITH THE FLORIDA ATTORNEY GENERAL. Long story short: An estimate was given that is now expected to be nearly double the cost when our stuff plans to arrive. Not only were they late with my initial pickup, they gave me an expected delivery date and after my stuff was on the road they told me it could take upwards to 14 business days to receive my things (it has been 2 weeks since my stuff has been gone at this point in time and they told me it would arrive 11 days ago). They’ll charge you an initial fee to lock in, and after they move your stuff to truck they charged me nearly double the amount of my estimated pick up cost.

    To drop off, the movers have to move my stuff onto a smaller truck to move into my apartment to get to our freight elevator. They want to charge us for that, and they want to charge us the extra amount that was initially given to us by the movers who picked our things up. It’s nearly impossible to speak with management. I’ve requested them over the phone numerous times for roughly a week now and they called my wife back apologizing saying “sorry, management has been swamped” (still haven’t spoken to them on the phone). This company is a broker. They don’t make that clear upon initial conversation. So any cost that tries to happen along the way is completely on you. My complaint to the attorney general is based off of deception and unfair trade practices. I highly recommend looking in another direction for a moving company.

    We chose New Start because they price matched another quote for $1600. Lo and behold, their movers show up, requote more than double the price and refuse to start until paid. We had a disappointing experience with this moving company. They tracked dog poop throughout our home and left several items behind, including mirrors and an entire dresser. They also failed to load everything, leaving us to fill both of our cars to make up for their oversight. We still will require another pickup truck worth of items to get on our own. Despite this, they became agitated and defensive when questioned about leaving items behind, claiming they had “done enough” and what we paid ($4k) “was nothing!” I asked for a box then to pack the items they were leaving behind to put in my own car and he said they had given us enough for free!

    Additionally, they did not reassemble many of the items they had taken apart during the move. We were charged $4,000 for the service, yet had to transport some of our own belongings (such as TVs) due to their claim it was “extra.” Unfortunately, the level of service did not meet expectations BY FAR. This was a terrible experience. The men were very rude, even though I was helping them load the truck. They were in such a hurry, they left several things wrapped in their moving blankets. STAY AWAY!

    Was searching for a move across country then found New Start relocation. Got a quote which wasn’t too bad in price around 1900 to PA. I was being pushed why "I didn’t just do it" and kept being forced to do it. They want a deposit which made me hesitant. Did some research and went with a U Pack (thank god), got some movers for under 60 dollars to pack it. And it’s guaranteed time. Get a call from Michael and I told him I got a pod, then he yelled at me saying “Why would you do that!” Continued to attack me then hung up. Avoid the dudes. Btw I only had a one bedroom/studio.

    I had only boxes, no furniture, requiring exactly 298.98 cu. ft. of moving space. The boxes were uniform, store-bought, with labeled sizes.     This has been the worst experience I've experienced. Geona was dispatch, she lied about everything she told me. I made it clear that I lived on second floor. They charged me for that. IMPORTANT - Delivery Date is not the delivery date - it is the first date that the movers are able to move in but have a window and they arrive on the last date.     Updated on 08/01/2025: The only reason I rate 1 star is because zero is not available. We used them to relocate from South Carolina to Texas in October 2024. When we contacted them we didn't realize they were only a broker. I read reviews when trying to set this move up and found that Eagle Moving was one of the worst moving companies in the country. I told the guy at New Start I didn't want to continue because I did not want to deal with Eagle. He assured me they were not involved. However, after my things were loaded, every time I called I got Eagle Movers. I have not spoken to the original person since. I was quoted around $3500.00 for the move, but once the truck was loaded I was charged over $14,000.00. When I protested I was told I could cancel, but would lose my $1800.00 deposit and be charged for them to unload my belongings.

    The delivery was a week later than promised and I almost lost my job because a lot of things I needed for work were on the truck. Also, when delivered a lot of things were broken and I was told they only pay by the pound for anything damaged. Now they are offering me $450.00 to change my review so they can get more business. I would not recommend them to move anyone across the street, much less long distance.

    Original: This whole experience was a nightmare for us. We got an estimate from a gentleman named Scott of $3888.00 for our move. I asked him several times if he was sure they could get everything at once, to which he stated several times, "I am sending a 26 foot truck. We can get everything." This led me to believe we had a 26 foot truck to use. We researched the company online and saw numerous bad reviews for them under Eagle Moving. We called Scott back and told him, since we were within the time limit to cancel without penalty, that we had decided not to use them due to the bad reviews. Scott said they were Re Lo Van Lines and had no association with Eagle Moving at all, which I will explain further down. He send us a link to a site for Re Lo Van Lines that looked very good.

    The truck showed up at 8:30 PM, after we had given up and gone to bed. They worked for 2 hours that night and came back and completed loading the entire following day. When they presented me with the bill, it was for over $14000.00, which I had to pay half once it was loaded. I couldn't refuse since my things were already loaded. I was told the quote originally given was for only one third of the truck, and I used the whole truck so that was the reason for the increase in charges. I was not happy with this and tried to call several times and was told the same thing. At this point I realize I had been lied to from the start. Every time I called dispatch, or customer service the phone was answered as Eagle Moving.

    I told them I would be in Houston on Monday and needed my furniture then. However, Monday came and no furniture. I started calling again, and was told Monday was the first day I said it would be ready for shipping. I told them that is not what we had agreed to and I needed my things so I could get back to work. Needless to say, my furniture didn't show up until the following Saturday. They had apparently taken our things to a warehouse and off loaded them, then reloaded into an 18-wheeler. It looked more like everything was thrown at the truck without regard to damage. When the truck arrived we were shocked. Boxes that were clearly marked fragile and very fragile were crushed. Dishes were broken. 2 dining chairs had legs broken off. 3 tables had legs broken off. My desk for my office was in pieces. My wife had things she has kept since her youth that were broken or totally destroyed.

    Now we have the nightmare of trying to file an insurance claim, if they will let us know who to contact, to see about reimbursement or replacement of some of the items. Some of which are irreplaceable. Bottom line, Do not use this company. They are a broker and are with Eagle Movers (even when they claim they are not). If you do, make sure you have at least 3 times the quote you get over the phone before you sign anything. If you call with problems, they will simply tell you to look at the contract, which they restrict after you sign it.

    I contacted the movers on 10/11. I have been working with Michael **. At first he was very helpful and stated I could contact him for help or assistance if needed. The move took place on 10/19 - according to Michael, he stated it could take around 5 days for the move to take place from NM to VA. When they came to pick up my items on 10/19 - they came at 3pm when I was quoted a window of 8-10am.

    When they came they quickly started to load my items and then after a third of the items were loaded, the mover tries and tells me that I am going to owe more than what was quoted. - when I brought to his attention that I was quoted different, he says it’s because I need about another 100-150 cubic feet but he won’t truly know until everything is loaded in the truck and they can measure. **per federal law - they are not supposed to load anything until they provide a new updated estimate - they did not provide one!! When I brought to his attention of the law, he apologized and said he forgot to tell me about the charges and should have done that right.

    I contacted New Start during this conflict and talked to a Jamie who said he was contacting management for help but never recovered any correspondence - I called them again and got to Jamie and he basically told me there wasn’t much they could do and if I felt comfortable, I can proceed with the move and they would credit back 20% of my deposit. I was basically stuck and I had a flight leaving the next day for Virginia. I had no choice but to go forward with the move and pay more than what was quoted - even though they broke federal law - I have proof of this that they did.

    I have not received anything back in terms of my deposit. My belongings have been picked up on 10/19 and it is 11/5 and they still have no updates whatsoever. Michael ** is of no help even when he says he will assist. He directs me to customer service and they are of no help. They have not updated me with any information or support as requested. I have asked for them to update me and they have not. They even claimed that they are not able to get in contact with Cobra Van Lines, they even said they were closed on Halloween. Cobra has a 24/7 support line and I have been in contacted with a rep there, who also doesn’t have a definite answer to when my items will arrive.

    I am frustrated and will not recommend this broker to anyone. I am moving forward and will be placing reviews on any available platform notifying people of my experience. I read the contracts and I understand them but the customer service and support is null in this company. Once payment was made to them they basically forgot who I am. People beware!!!

    This company provided the worst moving experience I've had. The price kept changing, always higher when I swapped things in my inventory.     What was discussed multiple times over the phone was not what transpired in reality. This caused cascading issues costing me thousands more and needed to take more time off of work to complete. I was very thorough on what I owned and what I needed. My full pack move was not sent to the end moving company as a full pack move. Therefore only 2 guys showed up.     Don't believe the good reviews, we did. After our experience did more digging and we aren't the only customers being scammed. At arrival demanded $400 for a third-floor apartment that was disclosed multiples times when quoted. Proclaimed that the items needing to be moved would take up 500 cu ft when our final quote was 374 cu ft., several big items on the final quote were given away prior to the movers showing up.

    The biggest item being moved was a 5-drawer tall dresser. Not surprising the final invoice was for 500 cu ft and an additional $492 for package materials, they supplied a wardrobe box. The final invoice stated our base was 350 cu ft, that was not in alignment with our final quote of 374. Overcharged us for multiple lines. We paid a total of $1307 plus our deposit. The invoice said we paid $1,247.50. The day of the move the total amount increased $1,300.

    We have tried to reach out to customer service multiple times the day of the move and after with no response. As of today, we still do not have our items nor do we have a date of arrival. We were told a driver had not been assigned to the truck yet. It has been a week today. It was explained to us that cu ft is determined based off the space between rails on the truck. We were told by inconsistent information by two different people that cu ft between the space was 100 cu ft - 175 cu ft, the picture taken once the items were loaded shows two spaces. They are trying to tell us that we used a third of a 26' truck. Does this look like 7.82' of truck space used?

    If I could give zero stars I would, this company gives you an itemized quote, just to triple the price at pick up. Make sure you confirm the size of the truck, size of the items, and square feet quoted in the price. Read the fine print, and just don’t sign the contract, read carefully. This is one of the worst companies I’ve booked with, unfortunately, I trusted them, because the manager Scott who helped us, assured us that the price would not change, after verifying the inventory.

    The customer service from NSR was fantastic, fast, helpful, friendly. They took the time to understand my needs, and were able to work with my dates and timeline. Unfortunately when it came time for the actual move, things fell apart. The detailed estimate I was provided (which I was told would be accurate as long as my inventory didn't change, it did not) ended up being off by 30% ($1500!). NSR also never told me the movers would charge me for the materials to wrap furniture (to the tune of $400), as they said materials were included. They also never explained the insurance in detail (pay is $.60/lb), I only found out by re-reading the contract fine print.

    If these were explained to me (never dealing with this before, I didn't know to ask these questions), this would not be a 2 star review. I'm rating them low because the estimate was off by 30%, which is way beyond a standard margin of error, and not explaining the insurance and that materials would not be included. Make sure to ask these questions before you sign the contract.

    I cancelled within 72 hrs of signing the documents and the company agreed to honor a refund in full within 2-3 business days. I much appreciated the honesty and transparency. I eventually chose to cancel as I wanted to sell my furniture and purchase new items once arriving in my new city. Of note, they do an estimate and offer reasonable prices for long distance moves. I would recommend this company highly for that reason.

    New Start Relocation (aka Eagle Moving Group) is by far the worst moving company I’ve ever dealt with. When I scheduled the movers over a week ahead of time, they said it would be same day pickup and delivery scheduled for the 3rd. I even called and ran my plan by them for making sure I’d have enough time to drop off the keys and deal with the cat so that they wouldn’t get to the new place before me. On the 2nd, they called and rescheduled the pickup from the 8am-12pm window on the 3rd to the 10am-2pm window on the 4th. They showed up an hour late and doubled the quote. Then I found out they were not doing same day pick up and delivery. They said it’ll take 1-8 business days while standing in my living room. We didn’t finish packing the truck until 7pm and I didn’t get to the new place until 12:30 am.

    On Tuesday, after multiple calls we were finally given an ETA. We were told the truck will be packed Today (10/10) and that we were the first delivery of the day. Then today I called at 9am to verify they would be here today. They verified it. Then it started getting closer to noon and I hadn’t heard anything, called again. Now it’s only being loaded today, but dropped off Sunday. Then I get an email saying it’s not being loaded today but Sunday and delivered Monday. I had today off during my first week of work because of this. I’ve now lost a day of pay due to these people. And when I call to speak to a supervisor, “shockingly” none are available despite telling multiple people to have one call me starting at 9am this morning. Then my boyfriend calls one time and magically there’s a supervisor available.

    Now they’re saying it won’t be delivered Monday but an appointment will be set up within 48 hours of when the truck is packed. I didn’t find out that they wouldn’t be here today until almost 2pm. I could have gone to work if I was given the correct information to begin with. Long story short, do not hire Eagle Moving Group or any of their related businesses to move your stuff because they are completely untrustworthy and will renege on everything they say throughout the entire process.

    Do not use New Start Relocation. They quoted us one fee and when the movers arrived, it was three times as much AND there was not enough space for our items. We told the broker what we had for our move from NC to New Orleans and they assured us there was space. When the movers came, there was barely space for half of our items so we still need to get the rest from NC on our own. Initially quoted $2600 but we ended up paying almost $7000!! We were told our items would arrive in 4 days. On the day before “arrival” I called New Start and a VERY rude associate told us it could be longer and that it was on the contract (NOT explained prior!!). We found the number for the movers and they told us it would not be until some time in October! They picked up September 19th! One of the worst experiences we’ve ever had! Wish I could give 0 stars!

    This was a terrible experience. Scott was the rep who signed us up over the telephone, asked questions about size of apartment etc, finalized the move for 1312$. Asked if I should send pictures of furniture etc and was told no all is good, day of move they show up - start adding things like - we have to catch an elevator the apartment is further away from truck than we cover, you got 350 cubic feet of truck space and you need 150 more. This will add fuel costs and all of a sudden the cost went up by 900$. I asked them to leave, I was threatened that they would charge my credit card. Please do not use their services because the companies they do business with are not vetted. Newstart told me it’s an estimate and you can pay more. So they cannot be trusted,

    Eagle Moving Group is dishonest and a scam. I was quoted a price and then upon pick up they told me I owed an additional $2600. I did not pay it and ended up leaving some of my things behind I still paid additional 1000 with only taking half of my things. It has been three weeks and I still do not have my things. I received a call tonight saying they will be here tomorrow night (I was told I would get 2 days notice). I was given a balance that I would owe upon delivery and now I am told I owe 800 more and that they only accept cash. Eagle moving does not return phone calls or emails in a timely fashion. It takes multiple calls before they even return your calls. I filed a complaint with the BBB and they never responded to my complaint. Do not use this company! It has been a complete nightmare for me.

    Don’t use this company. I booked with Eagle Moving Group and was told what it would cost to move from Mississippi to Texas. Once the movers arrived they said it would cost twice what was on my original estimate. Said it would take about a week to get my stuff delivered once they left. I had no communication with them. I called and would leave messages and nothing. After weeks I finally got my stuff BROKEN. I have called the claims department and no one answers I have sent emails and nothing.     Do not use Eagle Moving Group. We called eagle moving group and got an estimate for moving from Oklahoma to Denver. When the movers arrived it was a different company that contracts with eagle moving group and they took 10 minutes to look around and then said it was going to be 3 times the amount estimate. They stated that we were going to take up more space than what was estimated. I had measured every piece of furniture and had fewer boxes than what was on the estimate. I even offered to remove items and them just take the furniture and the specified number of boxes listed in the estimate and they still refused to reduce the estimate. Now we are stuck tracking down a Uhaul and asking friends and family to help us load the truck, I have no idea how we are going to unload the truck once we get to Denver.

    I received a quote from Eagle Moving for a cross country move. I was very specific with the number of boxes, bins, descriptions, and measurements and photos of our large and unusual items. They gave a quote. I accepted the terms of the shipment. Then they did a bait and switch. I did not receive the service that I was promised. They broke many things. It took way longer than was expected. Poor communication. Wanted to charge me a flight of steps for every six steps. For my damaged items they offered me $.10 per pound. That covers nothing. Stay away because even though they seem great upfront, they change everything and leave you stuck with using them anyways because it is your moving day when you find out about all of the changes.

    I'll make a long story short as possible. They arrived 1 day early. Wanted an extra $2000 when I had a firm quote. They delivered 13 days late after the promise date. This was a move from mn to az . Half of our belongings were damaged beyond repair including 2 big screen tvs, 3 pictures, originals. Countless dishes and accessories. One antique oak table was smashed into 6 pieces. Upon delivery they asked for another $1000. They have a lot of guts. After pickup there was no one to take our calls. I hope this company and everyone in it rots in hell.

    WORST COMPANY- STAY AWAY. Quoted us over the phone, told us they could assure they’d be to our new home the day of our move in date, we gave a deposit of $2,000. Then they showed up the day of the move and said it would actually take 9-21 days to get to us- that possibility was NEVER DISCUSSED on the phone. Their customer service then said absolutely ZERO REFUND- they were rude and adamant about that. To expedite and extra charge us it would going to double our quoted amount. So we fired them and lost 2k and have to come up with a new plan to move now that our home is all packed up.

    Stay away from this fraudulent company!! I used this company to move from Tennessee to Massachusetts and they absolutely took advantage of me. First off, they are not the movers, they will sell your contract to a third party who will charge you a whole new fees on the day of your move. Eagle Moving Group would give you a low quote to make you go with them but be warned!! This quote would not cover even half of your household move. They ask at the initial phase how many beds you have and other big items you have but they will intentionally give you a low quote.

    You will find this out on your moving day when you have no choice but to pay what the third party is charging you. This happened to me and I am on a mission to get this fraudulent company out of business. I had to leave my elliptical behind because the third party that Eagle Moving Group sold my contract to was trying to charge me for each and every inch of the little truck they came with. At the end, most of our stuff were either thrown away or stolen by the third party or Eagle Moving Group.

    I was given a quote of $6,000 by Eagle Moving company which I paid but when the third-party movers came they refused to move anything saying my stuff was more than expected so I was forced to pay $4,800 in addition. Altogether my move cost me $10,800 also my things were taken. Eagle Moving Group has one of the worst customer service. They were rude especially one of them called Daniel. He asked me not to write a negative review because he new I was unhappy with everything they did to me. Stay away from this company or you will be sorry!!

    Horrible experience. They are just moving brokers and not the actual movers. They gave us many fake promises and once we gave them the first part of the payment they completely ghosted us. They promised everything within 3 days and it took 16 days. Was supposed to cost $6.7k and ended up costing $11k despite my wife walking through each and everything we had for 1.5 hours on the phone.     We hired Eagle Moving Group who contracted our cross country move to Moving Wise Services. Our movers were scheduled to show up and did not show up until 3 days later. Upon arrival, the movers' truck was completely full of trash, and they smelled of marijuana. The team of 3 movers were not aware of the package we had bought with Eagle Moving Group. They had not been informed that we had agreed to a full packing and moving service, but they got to work. Over the course of the next several hours, paint was spilled on the floor and tracked throughout the house, items were left behind and we had to correct them after they had gotten the truck packed, I found my compound bow to be broken and their lunch and packaging trash left around and inside of the house.

    Upon completion of the job, Mike, the foreman, told my husband that it would be twice as much as what we originally agreed to. Mike said that the amount allotted on the truck was not enough for the number of items we had. We had given larger numbers and bigger items (such as a riding lawn mower, which we do not have) in order to account for more space on the truck and over estimate what we would need. He said we were now being charged for moving materials, packing, and even more space on the truck, despite already having agreed to that in the original price.

    With everything packed, we were able to come to a compromise even though it was not what we originally agreed to. One month later our items arrived. We arranged for them to be stored while we waited to close on our house. The items that arrived were mostly broken, water damaged, dented, or just outright completely falling apart. Keep in mind beds, bookshelves, couch, every single picture frame we had, filing cabinet, decorations, dresser, chairs, tables, books, clothes, lamps, you name it, it was damaged. I accepted some things would be damaged in the move, but the sheer numbers and size of things damaged from a "professional" moving company is shocking.

    If you have a choice, go with someone else, but not Eagle Moving Group. The Subcontractor who did the pickup for my Move had different information than I had shared with the broker. The broker's Volume calculation was not accurate at all. The Subcontractor calculated more than double what the Eagle did. In that case, Eagle's phone support had been a nightmare. Eagle Moving Group does not offer reasonable service. Stay away from them!!!

    Do not use Eagle Moving Group. They have a complex scam of 1) Begins with the "nice young man" who is about to be a new Dad (whom you can't get ahold of after the "hook is set" - he even "upped the original quote because people always under estimate"). 2) Coming in with a low quote, that even gets "verified" before the actual movers come in, 3) Quote comes from the moving company day of 40% higher than original quote. They didn't show up with the actual truck, but a Penske rental, so no verification of how much space is getting used. 4) You never get to talk to the same person. They keep shuffling you around "they're on the phone", "they're out today"....RUN AWAY!!!! AND, they clearly paid their ratings.

    They did an excellent job. I hired them in a very short notice and were able to accommodate us right away. Movers were very professional, on time and even gave me a month of storage for free. Everything went smoothly. Though I recommend, moving companies should send someone to measure up the stuff to be moved. Customer service was good and explained everything properly.
