My move started great w/ my orig. rep then things changed when he left due to personal reasons & beliefs. Things became unstable, questionable, uncertain, misleading & frightening wishing I had a way outta the whole situation, a lot of promises made little to non kept.....1 red flag after another. Simple questions w/ simple answers became nerve wracking to get. Then the non speaking English truckers came w/a hidden agenda that could of cost me over 7g which for that kinda money were ready to work for but when I said NO! I barely got any of my storage home eing told they didnt have time to waste. I even drove to get them drinks w/ no thank you at all. Was as if expected of me. The little I got cost me alittle over 2g which wasn't worth the trip for. I feel taken advantage of & scammed by these people.
I would of never taken on this job had I known I'd be putting my safety & well being at risk & would of waited for a better offer in the future. In the end I paid more to get a few more items on the truck while the drivers were ready to leave me alone to clean up the mess in 80+ degree temps. In the end they did help but I don't know how I would of survived if they didn't step up to the plate as they were ready to leave before seeing me struggle. I would post pictures but for some reason this site won't let me. I have proof of all I stated.

I wish I did not go on word of mouth with this company. I was asked questions based on my move and how many bedrooms, asked where I would like to say budget wise so I was quoted 3,999.98 and then two days later to go over my items. Was then told I may need a different truck for my belongings and had to pay an additional 6,0000. They then placed my things in a warehouse when I asked for a straight move from Nj to Atlanta. They then lost my belongings and broke 2 of my television and have not found my things or replaced any of my TVs.

This is the 2nd time we have used this company. They were excellent the first time and amazing the 2nd time! So far, my experience with Lawrence ** has been very positive. Communication has been smooth, professional, and prompt throughout the booking process. Anytime I had questions or needed updates, I received clear explanations quickly, which made the process feel much less stressful. We also had to update our destination after booking, and everything was handled efficiently and professionally. I appreciate the responsiveness and customer service so far and look forward to completing the move process.

Nick and his crew are literally the BEST of the best. I’m a single mom and even with my 2-year-old running around, the boys had such a great attitude and even interacted with my son, and just all together had such a great vibe. The owner is very responsive to any questions you may have and is very professional. I refuse to hire any other moving company again.

Do not use this company. Jamie has taken advantage of a veteran from start to finish. We were told that we would have a 15 foot truck show up back it up. We were quoted one bedroom apartment they refused to review the phone call and keep telling us to refer to the contract that showed up a day before the movers did, but we had to pay an advance without a contract. Total bait and switch do not use this company. Also, this veteran has a funeral to attend on Monday that he’s supposed to be in his uniform but his uniforms are with the movers. Zero integrity!

They moved my 3 bedroom home and did an excellent job. They had to make 2 trips, but were very efficient. They asked the entire time where I wanted items placed and reassembled anything they took a part. I would highly recommend them and would definitely use again if I ever need any moving services.

This company's trash. I hired them to move my property from Alabama to Colorado. They up-charged me when they picked up my property in Alabama, then refused to deliver my property in Colorado for nearly six months. I had to sue them in federal court. Case No. ** can be found on PacerMonitor. They folded immediately. All of my property was delivered and I received a full refund, including court costs. Avoid them forever.

They arrived on time, ready to work. The guys worked quickly and efficiently. Very friendly, professional and trustworthy. They were gentle with all my belongings. Great communication skills. They put all my furniture together and also offered to help me with anything else I needed. I will use them again in the future. 10/10 recommend!!

I don’t usually take the time to write reviews, but New Start Relocation really earned this one. We had a long-distance move from Texas to Colorado and I was honestly stressed out before it even started. From the first phone call, they were straight forward, no weird hidden stuff, just clear communication about pricing and timing. The crew showed up on time, got everything wrapped and loaded way faster than I expected, and they actually handled my furniture like it mattered, not just “throw it in the truck” type of energy.
What stood out most was how consistent they were during the whole process. I got updates during transit, and when they arrived everything was still in perfect condition. No missing items, no damage, nothing. They even helped place the heavier stuff where we wanted it instead of just dropping boxes at the door. For a long-distance move, that level of care is rare. I cannot express how valuable my experience with New Start Relocation is and was. The Holy Spirit guided me to them during a tragic time in my life more than once. As a single person moving is a daunting task; They handled it with ease. They moved my belongings with the utmost care and what seemed as a nightmare (moving) for me turned into a glorious moment in my life. Top to bottom, a great moving experience. Oscar had his guys show up early and ready to work. Matt, Danny and Scott were all extremely easy to work with, and they took extra care with all of our items. We will definitely refer anybody in the area to New Start Relocation for future moves!

I wouldn't recommend a broker for moving. They gave me incorrect information as far as how much it would cost, did not come out to look at my stuff, said it would be a 1 day turnaround from Denver to the Dallas area (it was not). As soon as I started having issues as far as not knowing when the people were coming to pack my load, I never heard from Nick again. My fee went from around $3900 to over $7100.

This is the worst relocation company - do not go near them. They either have no idea how to quote your move or intentionally bait and switch their customers. Our move was quoted for 36 items and ten additional boxes were added on the day of move. They more than doubled the cost of the move and have no way to justify the additional charges other than to say trust us that the items required more cubic feet in the truck. We have followed up twice and were ultimately hung up on my custom per service because we asked them to provide details of the quote and more specificity regarding the charges.

I recently used New Start Relocation for a long-distance move, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the experience. From the beginning, everything was handled professionally and efficiently. My job number was #**, and the team made sure every detail was covered so I didn’t have to stress about the process. Moving can be overwhelming, especially across a long distance, but they made it feel smooth and organized.
The movers arrived on time, worked quickly, and treated all of my belongings with care. They were respectful, friendly, and clearly experienced in handling moves like mine. I’ve used New Start Relocation twice for some very large and complicated multiple stop moves in the last year. Each time they were responsive, flexible with my needs, careful with our belongings, and had the best attitudes, even in the heat. I always forget to leave reviews, but Madison and Nick did such an amazing job when we used them again yesterday that I made sure to set a reminder. I choose them because of the reviews they already had and I can tell you that they have most definitely earned every one of those 5 stars! Have used other companies in the past, but never again. We will continue to work with New Start Relocation and recommend them to anyone we know who needs movers.

I want to share my experience so others can be careful before booking with New Start Relocation. From the beginning, there was a lot of pressure to put down a large deposit quickly—in my case, it was $800. They push you to secure the booking fast, but they do not clearly explain how difficult it can be to get that money back later. The issue was not small price differences of $100 or normal adjustments. We are talking about thousands of dollars in added charges for the exact same move, with the exact same list of items, the same condo details, and the same information already provided from the beginning.
Every time the move got closer, the estimate kept increasing more and more with no clear explanation or limit. It became very concerning because it felt like once they had your booking, the real price kept changing. On moving day, the price increased again, and it made me extremely uncomfortable trusting them with my belongings, not knowing if they would demand even more money later or potentially hold my items until I paid.
What they also do not clearly explain is the contract. They make you sign quickly, but buried in the agreement is that if, on moving day, you do not agree to the new inflated price and decide not to proceed, they can claim you are not entitled to a refund of your deposit—even if the move never actually happens. After reading many other reviews, I realized this was not an isolated experience. Many people described the exact same pattern—low initial quotes followed by major price increases at the last minute when customers feel like they have no other option.
When I tried to resolve the issue by email, they offered to return only about $500 and keep the rest, even though the move never happened. I refused because I did not agree with that, and after my second email requesting a full refund, they simply stopped responding. Fortunately, I was able to cancel before handing over my belongings, but many others were not so lucky. This experience felt misleading, stressful, and very unprofessional. Please read reviews carefully and be extremely cautious before trusting this company with your move.

They handled our move today. Short-notice scheduling and were still here bright and early, ready to go. We hadn’t prepped much and they still knocked it out, professionally, fast and most importantly, carefully. The weather has been brutally hot and they didn’t let it deter them. The most notable aspect of New Start Relocation was their integrity. In this industry, it is uncommon for the final cost to match the first quote. The movers were kind, cautious, and effective. Do not use these people. They will lose your stuff, try to give you other people's stuff at drop off that they forgot to drop off at the last stop. They will also lose pieces/screws/bolts, etc. to your furniture or items that they broke down at an exorbitant cost. They charge for boxes to put your things into that they end up just wrapping in their moving blankets and tape. I paid extra for them to pack up computers and monitors and they all ended up in thin blankets with the monitors only being allotted 1 blanket for multiple monitors. All sunshine and rainbows until you sign the contract. They have all these excuses about their bad reviews when questioned and they talk a really good game. They quoted a decently low price to match a competitor and offered a number of discounts. Made the pre-pick-up call to do any adjustments. 50ish boxes added about 4 thousand dollars in cost.
Removed other things like big furniture, etc. and when they arrived for pick up they tried to add on another 4 thousand. Nothing had been added from the pre-pick-up call and all items had been meticulously counted/sized. Boxes come with how many cubic feet they take up. FYI. Refused to pay the extra so they took it at the second pricing quote.
Arrived to the destination in a timely manner but instead of the company that is "licensed and bonded" putting my things into my home, strangers they hired from a gig booking looking to make a little cash showed up to help the driver unload. They did not know the story of my fragile items and the guys were nice enough but it made me uneasy having these strangers randomly hired to come into my home and make commentary on my expensive things. Just do not use this company if you can help it. The reviews speak for themselves as well as their horrible BBB rating. I would suggest them to no one except maybe a lawyer who could sue them for their shady activities. This company needs to be shut down.

Had the greatest experience, They did my move, and then I referred my Mom to them as well. Cannot thank them enough for the time they spent with me to make this process easy. The best moving company ever! There are a lot of moving companies out there who could learn from how New Start Relocation runs their business. I am blown away by the difference in New Start Relocation and other movers we have used in the past. We needed some very heavy furniture moved in our bedroom and it was a great experience from the first call to the accomplished task. Warning to anyone considering using New Start Relocation for a move: choose another company. Our experience was terrible and stressful. We initially spoke with a sales representative, Joe, who quoted us a reasonable rate and was very responsive before we signed the contract. He followed up multiple times and assured us that as long as all items were listed in the contract, there would be no additional fees. Because we had read several negative reviews mentioning surprise charges, we raised these concerns directly with Joe in multiple conversations. We carefully provided every detail—apartment floor, elevator access, distance to the truck, and a complete inventory of items—to avoid any unexpected costs.
Each time, we were reassured that there would be no extra charges. However, on moving day, the situation changed immediately. The movers began adding fees for the elevator, walking distance, and even additional cubic footage for certain items. When we tried to contact Joe, he sent our calls to voicemail all day. We continued trying to reach him in the following days, but it appeared our numbers had been blocked. The movers also made it clear they would not begin work unless we agreed to the new charges and paid half upfront.
At that point, canceling the move was not a realistic option, leaving us with no choice but to pay. We were then told delivery would take 3–4 days. Instead, it took nearly two weeks, despite numerous calls to customer service, who could not provide a clear delivery date and repeatedly said it was up to the movers. When our belongings finally arrived, only one person was assigned to unload everything. Several items were damaged, and there was also damage to our home during the process. To their credit, the moving company did reimburse us for some of the damages.
That said, our primary issue is with New Start Relocation. We feel they misrepresented the service to secure our business, dismissed legitimate concerns raised from prior reviews, and failed to support us when problems arose. Their customer service was ineffective and appeared to side with the movers rather than advocate for us in anyway. If you’re considering using this company, be aware: even if you think these issues won’t happen to you, they will.

Team Leader Madison, Oscar and Mike did an excellent job on my move from Fort Lauderdale to Houston. They were all very polite and hard workers. It was a difficult move with a 3 story house at the destination, but they conquered it. My family has used New Start Relocation twice now and will again in the future. Employee Joe pressured me to put down a $800 deposit on a move I felt like was overpriced, I put down the deposit with knowledge that it was cancellable within 72 hours. Called to cancel, received an extremely rude, snarky, and unprofessional callback where he told me “I’d say thanks for wasting my time but I’m not surprised” and “I hope you enjoy being upcharged” and hung up on me. Super unprofessional. Super uncool. This review is deserved.

If I could give this company 0 stars, I absolutely would. Madison ** quoted me $6,600 for our 4-bedroom, 3,200 sq ft home after doing a full video estimate, which we trusted would be accurate. She very adamant that NSR was the most affordable and reliable company and assured we could save money by getting rid of things. We went out of our way to get rid of a significant amount of our belongings beforehand, thinking it would help reduce costs. Instead, the exact opposite happened.
On moving day, we were blindsided with a new total of $15,300, more than double added at the last minute. There was no real explanation that justified such a massive jump, especially after they had already assessed everything via video. To make matters worse, they only allocated enough space for about half a truck, which is completely unrealistic for a 4-bedroom home.
Moving is already stressful and expensive, but being hit with an outrageous and unexpected bill the day of the move felt completely unfair and honestly predatory. We planned and budgeted based on their original estimate, and they put us in a position where we had no real choice but to pay.To make matters worse, after all of this, Daniel (the GM) tried to smooth things over with a $700 refund which doesn’t even begin to address the overcharge. It felt more like an attempt to quiet the situation than take real responsibility. Also the AUDACITY of Sarah Stern to call and ask me to change my review because it hurts her as an employee was baffling. I would strongly urge anyone considering this company to look elsewhere. What they quoted and what they charged were nowhere close, and the experience was incredibly frustrating and disappointing.

These guys put in a long day with some unforeseen delays but remained respectful and polite, and even made suggestions on how to arrange our furniture when asked. This is a broker and everything the representative told me in the quote call was not true. They have no idea what company they are assigning to you - should have been my first red flag. The company they assigned was from out of state - that is not what I was told upfront. They came with 2 trucks and 3 people for a full service move. They brought in another person that no one knew to help. Not sure that's the best business practice for liability! The price changed three times and was TRIPLE of what I was told. Final payment was cashiers check only - which was not where in the contract or verbally explained. I was told to move items on my own the day before for the price to stay that same which was also a lie.
Items were not packed well at all. Bathroom items were thrown in with clothes, china was never wrapped, I paid for TV boxes that were never used. The kitchen table was never taken apart until it got to the house and couldn't fit in the door. I would not recommend this company, they are clearly hiring very good sales staff to make the experience seem flawless.

We are also very concerned by your comments regarding packing quality, handling of items, and the use of additional labor. All assigned carriers are expected to meet industry standards for professionalism, proper packing, and handling of household goods. With regard to payment, carriers may require certified funds (such as a cashier’s check) at delivery; however, this should always be clearly communicated in advance. If that was not properly explained, we sincerely apologize.

This is a bait and switch company! My son and daughter in law contacted them to move their household items from CO to OK. My son walked the agent through over FaceTime of the entire house. His quote was $6100. When the auditor came, the price went up to $12000!!! The contract was missing tons of items that were initially discussed. Unfortunately my son didn’t notice the missing items and signed the contract and paid the deposit. When they realized the quote was DOUBLE what they were quoted, they told the moving company that they couldn’t afford that. They were then told they couldn’t get their deposit back even though they were within the 72 hour window. The deposit could only be used towards a future move. These people are CROOKS!!! DO NOT USE THEM!

This company is horrible - do not use them. They will make all types of representations to you about pick up and delivery and what charges will and won't be charged, all of which are false. They tell you they can't modify the contract as it is required but tell you how it will be. Of course it is not. They didn't pick up or deliver as agreed before I signed the contract; they charged things they specifically told me would not be charged; they damaged items; they didn't disclose they aren't the mover but rather a broker and they send things off to a sister company who used different movers that are not disclosed; and then charge double what was agreed to. When items are damaged they refer you to another company for the claims process and ask you to sign a release before even telling you what the offer is. I would run from this company and their related companies who apparently are New Start, Relo, and Insta Movers. Don't believe good reviews.

I booked New Start to move me from Evanston IL to Jackson MS on 2/24/26. I was originally quoted $1905 for 350 cubic feet. Upon reading reviews and possible up charges I called back and added an additional 50 feet for $2803 on 2/27/26. The movers did not have boxes for tvs that I paid for from new start and they did not take 5 totes and two luggages. I have called several times trying to get a refund, I have spoken to Ryan in customer service and he only offered a $200 refund. This is unacceptable business practices. Not only did I not receive my items, the delivery time was said to be 3-6 days, it took 3 weeks, I was told I could track my items, no tracking. If I had not of called two days before my delivery I would not have even known when my delivery was actually scheduled. It’s sad to see honest people get taken advantage of.

This company will bait and switch you out of thousands of dollars more than what you were quoted. I was promised no extra fees and that I will pay what I was quoted. Day of the move, and now I'm paying an extra $500 for labor and extra supplies cause my moving containers "weren't good enough". I was told the movers will break down furniture to make space to fit, yet when the movers show up they refuse to do that. I was told day of move by the movers that the space estimate I was given wasn't nearly enough to accommodate what I needed and what was listed.
In total I had to pay an extra $3000 just to fit some of my stuff, and all furniture that they knew about from the beginning was unable to be moved without paying them thousands of dollars more than the extra I already had to pay. My relocation specialist refuses to answer his phone, call back, or even send an email. And customer service just tells me it is what it is. This company will promise you one thing, and then corner you for thousands of dollars more day of, and what else are you supposed to do. If you cancel on them, you're out a deposit and there's no way to hire new movers day of. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! Some people say they had good interactions, but just read the HUNDREDS of complaints and don't take the risk like I did.

When the official paperwork arrived, roughly half of the items were missing. When we pointed it out, they said they could add the missing items — but only if we paid double the original price.
The pickup was supposed to include two people, but only one showed up, turning what should have been a quick job into a 7-hour ordeal. That was on March 12th. Today is March 20th, and still no one can tell us where our belongings are, when they will be delivered, or even return our calls. No one seems to have any real information. This company operates under multiple names, including New Start Relocation, PVL Moving Services, and Moving Services out of Hollywood, FL. The fact that they go by so many different names is a major red flag and strongly suggests they cannot be trusted to operate honestly. This is a textbook bait-and-switch scam. I strongly advise avoiding them at all costs.

Oh my, where to start! My friend and I hired New Start Relocation to move us from our second-story apartment to a new house about fifteen minutes away. We have quite a bit of heavy and expensive furniture that needed to be moved, so we hired these trusted movers who have moved my boyfriend's family multiple times over the years. Danny, Nick, and Matt were extremely efficient, punctual, and professional. They had everything moved with zero damages from our apartment to our house in just two hours. I've had much experience with moving companies with some bad, others fair, and most wanting to take one to the bank. New Start Relocation was more than reasonable and very professional. My particular movers for the 3 hour morning move were Nick and Madison. They worked very carefully while being very efficient with time and complying with the placement of my items. My husband and I are relocating my MIL from MA to FL. I estimated our needs for furniture and boxes on the high side and we received a good price. The sales rep explained that they used 26 ft box trucks it would be loaded with 2 families only on the truck and would deliver from MA to FL in 4-6 days. I explained that I wanted to avoid the mega liner situation that we experienced with my mother's move 2 years ago due to the uncertainty of delivery dates. Well, lo and behold... We got exactly what we did not want. I feel very strongly that this is a bait and switch situation! Yes, a 26ft box truck picked up the furniture, however, all furniture was transported to another mover in NJ.
In addition regarding weight, even after my husband called to see if box sizes would fit the sq ft requirement we were told we were way over weight and we were charged close to an addition $1000. I am sitting here on day 11 waiting for the other company that our move was brokered out to to let me know when they might load and start the drive to FL.
The contract agreement from New Start says within 1500 miles a delivery can be expected between 2-14 business days, yet the brokered company states delivery at 3-21 days. ADVICE - Watch the fine print on the contract - delivery date estimated window is not guaranteed and more importantly there are 'outs' for everything. My 86 YO MIL is in temporary housing right now and very anxious about receiving her beloved heirlooms. I would have liked honesty on the front end. Again, I explained what I did not want! I went with this company based on what I was told and because the movers were based in FL.

Sept 2024 contacted them for an estimate for long distance move $15,000. Other estimated higher so we went with it. Paid $7,000, called and requested packing help. Movers arrived with 2 moving truck one a uhaul. They wanted $22,000 to move us. We postponed move with the provisions we had to rebook within 12 months, ended up being billed another $1300. Ended up having to cancel move because momma got breast cancer. We did not know how she would respond to treatment after lumpectomy, they would only refund 10% of the $8300. We came to agreement that we would rebook and they would credit the $8300 to our move, but I got a feeling momma is gonna be out $8300.

Similar to a lot of the other reviews, they quoted me for $2,400 for a one bedroom move. The moving company gets there and then updates the quote to $4,000+ and I ended up having LESS stuff than was included in my original estimate actually picked up but it was $1,600 more expensive, makes sense. They "graciously" offered a $200 reimbursement. The truck was already half-packed when I learned this so I went forward with it thinking New Start had any sort of integrity for their grossly understated estimate. Would be wary of any estimates you get from this company.

The final price is determined at pickup by the licensed carrier based on the actual space used and services required, which is standard practice within the moving industry.
In this case, the carrier conducted a review of the shipment at the time of pickup and determined that additional space was required beyond the original reservation, which resulted in an adjustment to the total cost. These adjustments are outlined in the moving documents provided prior to the move.
Additionally, New Start Relocation made a good faith effort to address your concerns and offered a courtesy reimbursement, which is not required under the terms of the contract but was extended as a gesture of goodwill.
We always encourage customers to provide a complete and accurate inventory list during the estimate process to avoid any discrepancies at pickup. Our goal is to ensure transparency and a smooth relocation experience for all customers.

Well, we became victim of a bait and switch with this company. I found this company to hopefully move my daughter and her fiancé and their pets home from Colorado after serving in the army and deployment overseas. I should’ve listened to my gut. It sounded too good to be true for $2900 only $400 more than they were going to pay to rent a vehicle and drive it across country themselves. I spoke to Oscar, who I thought was a very nice person, told me about his new baby and everything. I explained to him that they were going to need to move a four bedroom house to Pennsylvania. He assured me the price was accurate to move the contents of their four bedroom home to Pennsylvania, only to get a call two days before the move to find out that they only booked space for an apartment sized move and that it was now going to cost them over $7000 to move to Pennsylvania with the contents of their home.
They also wanted to pick up the contents of their home three days before they were moving out. How are people supposed to live in a home with no contents for three days? They had no choice but to cancel the reservation. This was no fault of theirs. Oscar knew full well based on the conversation he had with me as well as the conversations he had with my daughter that they had a four bedroom house to move. He assured both of us that he was doing us a good deed by giving us a great price for this move. Unfortunately, they were not given a full refund of their deposit. They were only given $300 of $1100 deposit back. To all your service members and veterans anywhere in the country. I hope you read this before you book them because they have zero respect for the military personnel.
After explaining to two customer service people and a customer service manager that Oscar misled us they still insisted on not giving a full refund. I’m disgusted with how they think they can treat people. I’m not sure if they train their staff to offer one deal and only to stick it to them when they’re just a few days away from their move with a higher price or if this guy really had no clue what he was doing. Their cancellation window is 72 hours after booking. They don’t call to confirm until days before your move. We had only been booked for a couple of weeks. In my opinion, any good customer service, especially towards military who fight for your freedom, you should try to make it right, especially when it’s your employee who messed it up. I hope they are asleep with a good conscience knowing that they just screwed people out of much needed money to move across the country to come home.
God will be their ultimate judge in the end. I would never in 1 million years ever. Recommend anyone use this company unless you do your absolute deepest dive into everything they tell you. Even then, I would not give them your money. What a disgrace. Oscar you should be fired! You should also pay them back the money they lost because of your ignorance. Shame on you. I hope you raise your baby to be better than that and to respect military.

Couldn't be happier with my experience with New Start Relocation. Very quick scheduling response that just made my day for a room-to-room move to assist a disabled veteran. I've been given three different quotes told it would be delivered on a specific date and now I will be 10 days in no property and was just told it could take up to 21 business days when the three different reps I spoke to said 14 days. This company is horrible horrible horrible. Don't use them. Not worth your headache. Go to somebody else.
Original: HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! Price increased 3 different dates, empty promises, Mia or Michael will not return calls, called numerous times and got someone new each time. Still waiting for my furniture and company is taking zero accountability for this complete fiasco of a move! If you plan on moving out of state "don't not use this company"!!!!

The contents of my one-bedroom New York apartment consisting of 25 moving boxes was supposed to be moved to a Public Storage room in Houston, TX. Instead, everything was delivered in an atrocious condition to A PARKING LOT OF A NEARBY KROGER SUPERMARKET on a SATURDAY. The lone driver was not able to complete the move to agreed upon address. To add insult to injury, I had to help unload my own boxes and carry all of them to the storage room the distance of approximately 2 city blocks.

Well, first I got a low ball estimate after I walked thru every room with them. Guys show up to load, and did a good job, but then dinged me for almost another half, then dinged again, and again and ended up paying more than double the first estimate. Problems with delivery, made me have another vehicle to unload because driver unsure of access (I see large vans every day come by our house), and delivery was when I could not be there. I found a faded illegible copy of inventory. We are missing at least 2 boxes of kitchen stuff that I loaded and went into the first truck. My goods got transferred at least 3 times to other vehicles.

They came in and went over everything to go on the truck, I told them I only could go with the original quote, no problem, he went over all things, made sure I was happy and I had no surprises!!! Even squeezed a few things on the truck for me!! I would highly recommend! They went out of their way and delivered to the next State the NEXT DAY!! The only reason why the bad reviews are left are because they didn't properly give the movers all the items to be moved!! Be honest and you won't be disappointed!!! You get more bees with honey!!!

Updated on 03/11/2026: I previously wrote a great review for this company New Start Relocation. What I wrote was true regarding the pickup of our furniture and belongings. However delivery was another view of their service. All of our belongings were transferred into a Semi Truck. We found items missing or damaged. In some cases broken. Writing fragile and top on our boxes didn’t matter.
At first contact with a representative with the company I walked through each room of our home and thought that he was writing down the list of items in each room I went to. We agreed on a price to move all our belongings. I paid my deposit with an agreed amount at both pickup and delivery. Total cost was great $7k. When the trucks showed up half of the things we had listed for the move were not on the manifest. I was now charged an additional amount for the items not listed. They put you in a position where you have no choice but to pay the additional amount. My move now went from $7k to $11k. I recommended this company to a close friend and lo and behold that nice low price was increased on them as well. This was my last move in my lifetime, but I will not recommend this company to anyone to use for their move.

Absolutely under no circumstances use these guys to move. They quoted us 2200 dollars with 1100 due up front. When the movers showed up, they demanded 1200 after our stuff was loaded and another 1200 upon delivery. You absolutely cannot get anyone to call you back from New Start nor did they try to make it right or help us out. Absolutely, under no circumstances use this company; it's all lies.

We set up a move with them and went through everything is the house 3 times. I even gave them measurements and everything. The guy told me I would need 1 and 1/2 trucks and it would take a week to get put stuff and the price was 9000. We paid the deposit. Moving day comes and the movers only have 1 truck and want another $4000 to get the rest. We called New Start and said what they say on the phone doesn't count and they use software to calculate how big of a truck they need. (What was the point of me giving them measurements?) They cussed out my wife for complaining and said pay we had to pay more or leave our stuff but they would not return our $3100 deposit no matter what.
We had to leave that day so we were stuck and got a Uhaul ourselves for the rest. We paid for them to pack 30 boxes and their version of that was packing boxes we already packed into bigger boxes and calling it done. They left so much empty space in the truck I could have fit almost everything in there they were leaving behind. When we told them about the empty space they threatened to unload all our stuff in the driveway and leave. We were told 4 different time that they truck would be here in 5 to 7 days. Now we find put it could be 2 weeks or more. They put a hole in the wall when moving our stuff out and we were told to file a claim but who knows how that will go.
After talking to the company several time they offered 350 then 500 to "make it right" and keep us quiet, even though I am out over $3000 more because of this. It says it you accept the refund you cannot talk badly about them or seek legal advice either which goes to show they do this a lot. They sent me someone else's email by mistake who is having the same problems we are having. In that email it says they are keeping their deposit even if they cancel because of New Start's mistake. Whatever you do, use someone else.

The original estimate provided was based on the inventory and space reservation disclosed at the time of booking.
On the day of pickup, additional items and additional space requirements were presented beyond what was initially reserved. The additional charges discussed were related to the increased space reservation needed to accommodate the additional volume.
As a courtesy, a second truck did arrive and the carrier loaded an additional 200 cubic feet at no charge.
Regarding your concerns about professionalism, New Start Relocation takes these matters seriously. At no time is inappropriate language or unprofessional conduct tolerated. Our team is trained to communicate respectfully and professionally at all times, and we do not support the claim that any employee would curse at or threaten a customer.
In an effort to resolve your concerns amicably, New Start Relocation did extend a settlement offer in good faith. However, this offer was declined. At this time, we have made every reasonable effort to address the situation, and no further compensation or settlement will be offered.
If you wish to pursue a claim for any alleged physical damage, you may do so through the carrier’s formal claims process, as outlined in your contract and Bill of Lading.

After several attempts to cancel my order with no resolve, I was finally directed to Angela. After explaining the situation she assured me that the situation would be taken care of. In a very professional manner and with quick resolve I received a confirmation email that I would be fully refunded. DO NOT USE!!!! If I could give 0 stars, I would. They straight up manipulated me into signing 3 different contracts, each one upcharging me exponentially; the day before my move (when I could no longer cancel), the day of my move (had no choice or be abandoned and lose thousands), and the day of delivery (charged me again for having to walk a few feet further to another elevator).
These are disgusting criminals that you should never give your hard earned money to. The other crooked company they colluded with to scam me- east west coast LLC, was also rude, dirty, condescending, and sloppy. I just got to my condo where I am first seeing the condition of my items and many are broken and dirty, and they piled heavy things on top of fragile ones to make it hard on me. They upcharged me $3,000 after initially quoting me $2,000 and so my total was $5,000. On a 1 bedroom move from MA to NJ. And they didn't even take all my things!!! My loveseat and bed are still in MA, they would only take the mattress. I paid for all my own packaging and packed everything into totes and bags all these people did was tape things closed. They wouldn't even disassemble my furniture to save space. Dumped my drawers in a random box.
For 5 grand, I would have found someone local to do and take EVERYTHING. I have so many more things to say but will run out of room. They are crooks. Don't use them. They will gaslight you, lie to you, bait and switch you and then their contracted companies are just as bad. This was a horrible experience for me, and I am still dealing with the aftermath. I was a single woman living alone away from family, so for them to manipulate me and have me sign new contracts under duress must be illegal. I will be looking into my options.

Please stay away from this company. They are horrible and not going to give you any true statements. These people are not the movers; they are only there to get you to sign up and your money. They won't contact you or answer anything until 2 days before the pick up. And even after that will add on a slew of charges. I went from a esst $2300 - $4100 and I didn't even have 4k worth of stuff. The driver didnt want to help with understanding. He told me they have to wrap the TV and Walkin fee is on the 2nd floor. And you only get 100 cubic ft for $500. I called customer service. They refused to give a refund and offered a voucher for a later move down the line. After not discussing the Deposit policy or refund of the policy in the beginning, so out of a $888 Deposit, only willing to give a $175 voucher is ridiculous and I didn't even use their service. I went with a different company and better people and service. I would give 0 stars if I could,

With the exception of Julia (who was amazing), no one was willing to help me after calling multiple times when the price that I was quoted & agreed on ended up being an extra $1100!!! I wouldn't recommend this company at all but if you do use them & get the sales guy Patrick, either hang up immediately or ask for some else that is honest & keeps their word.

Just moved from Florida to New York with my 3 roommates and New Start Relocation made it so stress free! Absolutely no question that I would get them again for a future move. I can’t even imagine how we would’ve done it without them. The workers that helped us were so kind and helpful. They moved everything surprisingly fast and wrapped all our furniture, so nothing got damaged in the process. Moving is so daunting in Florida but New Start Relocation made it a great experience!

New Start Relocation were incredible. So professional, so friendly, and so efficient! I would hire them to move us again in heartbeat, and wouldn't trust anyone else to do it right. We ran into a few snags (furniture too big to get into new front door, etc), and I was so impressed with how the moving team handled it. They were creative and positive the whole time, and with tons of experience and expertise they quickly figured out how to solve every problem (with ever making it our problem). I can't say enough good things about this moving company. I am extremely happy we chose them for our move.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with! Friendly, helpful. Always pleasant until they have your money. I was told "It will take 3-4 days to arrive in Florida." I gasped "That long?" "Yes, our drivers are regulated by how many hours they can drive per day, but it always arrives early." This is a quote...I almost called the police d/t them stealing my golf cart. It took 30 days. Was told pickup would be 1/3'26 between 4-6pm. Driver showed up 1/4/26 at11:00 am. How fun is this to sit and wait and never show up? Paperwork for 1234 miles states 2-4 business weeks. When cart was picked up the driver was shocked it was a golf cart! Right, did the company read the paperwork? I was told to have a money order for the full amount made out to Cobra Van Lines on arrival. Nope....driver wanted 1/2 down & the balance on delivery. My money order for the full amount was already made out, so back to the bank.
Was told don't worry about a ramp to get on truck. Nope...driver had no ramps. I called continuously for 30 days. Once I was told "Delivery is scheduled for next week or the end of the month." Really? Next week is the end of the month. The person I dealt with was Gianna. If she had been honest about the delivery date up front, I would have driven the cart down myself and been able to use it while I was in Florida. What a complete waste of my time talking to Jamie. This company never went the extra mile to help. Will also be writing to the Better Business Bureau of Florida.

Just like many others have already said this company will lead you along a path and deceive you along the way. The initial conversation I had with an individual named Joe landed me at a deposit cost of around $800. Then two days prior to the move another gentleman named Michael called and he doubled the amount of space I needed on the truck and now I was doubling the cost of the entire move. At that time I didn’t have enough time to look for another moving company. I was already in it with this one and needed to just suck it up and come up with the money and make the move happen.
In the initial conversation, Joe was unclear that I needed to give a very, very specific detailed description of every single item in my home in order for them to approximate the amount of space that I would need on the truck. I told him I had a 1700 square-foot home with four bedrooms fully furnished in every room and they gave me a quote. I feel it was a little shady to wait two days prior to the move to check in with me to see if the first quote was accurate and then to proceed by doubling everything. This company is a scam artist and they will run away with your money. Beware.

Too bad I can't give 0 stars because I absolutely would. Don't waste your time or money. My experience is VERY SIMILAR to William from Sioux Falls, SD. My sister needed urgent help moving on 1/31 so I hired New Start. I booked with Nick & had the contract terms explained on the phone with him. Most of my issues noted below were not explained to me and being on the phone with no time to review on my own felt very high pressure. I paid an $836 deposit for 350 cu feet, 20 boxes, my specified furniture, and 30-day storage. $1,847.50 total. My balance was to be $1,011 and I could do half at pickup, the other half upon delivery. Said movers would disassemble and reassemble and direct carry/delivery would be the following afternoon by (tentatively) 2pm, the latest - WRONG!
They hired out Home & Office Movers (based out of Silver Spring, MD). Julio assessed what we all had and gave me an updated quote --- the 1st update was a $2800 balance due to having 750 cu feet, packing materials for a couch/mattress/dining room table/coffee table, boxes and bags. Absolutely not. Oh, and he said for 350 cu ft, he only had space in the truck for the couch/mattress/dining room table/SOME boxes. I ended up packing our cars with the bags and other things for another updated quote ---that one was $1,909 for 500 cu ft, all furniture and boxes. I thought you didn't have room in the truck? And this is still $800 more than what I was prepared for!
Obviously, we needed to move everything so we proceeded but was then informed that the delivery date is not the following day but will be 3-4 days later (2/4!) THEN when 2/4 comes (today!), the movers were trying to charge additional fees like truck to door delivery, A WAITING FEE TO WAIT FOR MY SISTER TO LEAVE WORK AND COME TO THE APARTMENT BECAUSE THEY WERE 3 HOURS EARLY, and a flight of stairs charge. What is the point of asking for a delivery window and not abide by the time slot?! Ultimately, this was a ** nightmare, and I would implore you to find someone else to hire for this. I am pissed! (Estimate No: ** in case y'all want to look it up and try to rectify this because this is unacceptable!)

They are a broker. They lied many times about the cost. Waited until 2 days before the pick up date to triple the cost on me. Jacob ** & Suzy ** were the ones I dealt with. Then Ocean Movers showed up. Never told me that they farm out their work. Made me pay $84 to make a bloated payment because he refused to do a Zelle. They had my stuff in the truck. The only ones I liked dealing with were the ones who dropped it off in CT. They were nice, didn’t try to screw us over. The Florida a-holes were the clowns who ripped us off. Do not use this company. They are POS. Will be complaining to the AG.

I had a bad experience with New start starting with being lied to about the cost of my move. I feel I was scammed totally by my experience and unwillingness to refund me my 4,147 dollars. I was lied to by other people (companies) involving my move. I wish I could give this company zero stars. I'm very upset and was treated unfairly.
Toni and I have spoken several times. Toni is aware that she was not scammed. New Start has offered Toni a partial refund of her deposit. Our team is waiting on Toni to respond to the settlement agreement.

I’ve had a very disappointing experience with New Start Relocation Services. First and foremost, they operate as a broker, meaning they don't actually handle the moving themselves. After agreeing on a price, I ended up paying significantly more once the movers arrived, which felt misleading.They promised to support me throughout the entire process, but that turned out to be untrue. Now, I find myself unable to reach anyone from their team for updates. It's been 21 days since my belongings were picked up, and there’s still no sign of them or any communication from the company!
I’ve called dispatch multiple times—each time facing the same frustrating response: “I hate to keep you on hold, can I call you back?” However, those callbacks never happen, and I’m left waiting for days. To make matters worse, when the movers initially arrived 21 DAYS AGO.. they were not even informed that it was a full pack job. This has been an absolute nightmare, and I feel particularly disheartened by how poorly they treat their clients, especially disabled veterans. I strongly advise anyone considering their services to think twice and look for a more reliable source.

They arrived on a Friday and didn’t pack the items agreed upon and we even spoke to the movers and they still didn’t take it. We didn’t hear from them for 3 days about when it would be delivered and when we did because we called to ask they told us it would be another 5 days before delivery. They haven’t done what was agreed upon in contract. Don’t waste time with this company. It may be cheaper but that’s at a cost. Spend more money for quality service and movers.

If I could give no stars I would. Quoted me a price. I even gave the size of totes. Then I had to add to my order. Thought I was getting a good deal. Then when team came the price doubled, now what could I do? Had to be out and things were stolen right off my friend's dresser. The guys were quick with loading and wrapping furniture. Then was told upon delivery it had to be cash or cashier check or I couldn't have my stuff and they would charge me storage fees. But from beginning was told could use my card.
At delivery the 2 guys did a great job, fast, efficiency. But when I noticed broken totes he told me I had to contact company and there was nothing he could do as he was only a mover and they had other people's stuff that had to get delivered. I contacted company. They didn't care, even got hung up on. Talked to someone else. They told me send pictures and email to report damage. I have emailed several times with no response at all. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY! I DON'T RECOMMEND IT ALL AND WILL NEVER USE AGAIN. I WILL WARN ANYONE.

Do not use New Start Relocation. They are a contractor not a moving company. They quote a price you pay to them and then they sub your move out to a (in my case) very poor moving company - Bristol Moving and Storage. If you call looking for details they put you on hold and call the moving company. Once the moving company arrived for pickup the first thing they did was say they have to do an inventory and of course they needed more money again upfront. The truck they brought was too small and items were tied to the tail gate. I thought this truck would do the move but our belonging went to a depot and were literally thrown onto another truck.
After several weeks another truck arrived with no lift gate or ramps, a Ranger 4x4 and a Hustler 60" zero turn mower had to be delivered?? I had to borrow two ramps and a backhoe that was in the neighborhood. The delivering company also needed more money before they would unload. All told the price was 3 times what New Start Relocation quoted. All of our items were scratched, banged, gouged and basically beat up. Go with a reputable mover, the cost will be less and your items will be better handled. New Start Relocation and the moving company they choose were absolutely horrible. Don't put yourself through this aggravation!!!!

Terrible experience, I would give them a zero. The man I worked with was a liar along with the moving company. They used First Class Movers. As soon as broker got his money he would not even talk to me like a man, it was biggest mistake that I ever made and would not recommend them for anything, big scam with them and first class movers. Charged ne more than was estimate, held us hostage per say until I signed papers and they had money, never heard of a company wanting cash at delivery but not at pick up. Just bad people and companies, just Terrible I have documented all correspondence because if there any lawsuit against them I would join them. I should have listened to others as I was warned.

New Start Relocation Service has been one of the worst moving experiences I’ve ever had. Their customer service was practically nonexistent, and they failed to communicate at every step of the process. The company they hired to pick up our household goods had a delay, but New Start never informed us. Every time I called, they put me on hold and promised to call back—yet they never did. Their pricing process was unbelievable. They had me guess how many boxes we had for a 2,400 sq ft home, and then sent a truck that was far too small. The driver walked in, took one look, and immediately told me we would need another truck and that I had to pay right then. When I called New Start for help, they basically told me it was between me and the moving company. We were closing in three days, so we had no choice but to pay. They had us over a barrel.
What made things worse was that they never told us our delivery would be split. The first truck arrived quickly and the items seemed fine (we packed ourselves). The driver—who was great—told us he had no idea when the rest would arrive. Again, New Start said it wasn’t their problem. The moving company told me “next Friday,” which came and went… repeatedly.
We finally received the remaining items 18 business days later, just barely within the legal 21-day requirement. The same driver delivered them, and he was the only positive part of this entire experience. New Start should honestly rename themselves Never Start or Finish Relocation Services. I’d strongly advise anyone to avoid this company.

Requested a quote and the rep gave me 6,000 when two other companies gave me a rate of 3,000. The PROBLEM was, I wanted to thank them for their time, wasn't going to work out for me to go with them and wanted them to take me off their call list but the representative was so RUDE and hung up on me before I could finish. If there was ever a partnership in the future with them especially since my partner is in the military and we move constantly. Personally this bridge was BURNED. Being a BDR in sales, do better to train your reps!

The worst!!!! They are con artists! I paid a $500 deposit for my move. Then the moving company came (late) and wanted to charge for everything! To wrap the TV, etc. I was also expecting my move to be same day. I’m moving 4 hours away. They told me 5-7 days and that my stuff would be on a truck with other people’s stuff. NONE of this was explained to me and my husband. As a Disabled Veteran, I’m reporting them to Redstone and Ft. Moore. My aim is to get this company banned from taking advantage of service members! We reserved a U-Haul and got a better deal with someone local. Please do not even consider using them for a move. Oh yeah, they took my deposit and said it was non-refundable. Shaking my head.

Apologizing again I was offered a price concession. I would recommend asking questions and reviewing the documents in detail and ask for extra time. They do ask at the beginning but don't write everything down. My move doubled the day before the move and was another 1000 after the actual movers came. I selected this company for my moving needs from my salesman Jacob down to Angela who is the director of client services were wonderful. Told them what I needed moved. Got an accurate quote. Of course I was a little skeptical but they definitely went above my expectations. No surprises, no extra charges, accurate estimate and great service. Movers packed my home wonderful and came with all the proper materials to ensure I would not have any damages at delivery. Definitely wasn’t disappointed. I would rate them a 10.

I paid a non-refundable deposit of over $1,900 in anticipation for a move for a new job. The job offer was rescinded, so I called to ask about a refund. I was told I only had 72 hours to cancel in order to get a refund. After some back and forth, they agreed to give me $583.50 of the money back, claiming that "money had been spent in anticipation of my move." Imagine my surprise when my credit card company called, stating that this company was attempting to CHARGE me this amount, not refund it, and that they had it set up as a RECURRING CHARGE! Steer clear.

I wish I could give zero stars to VTR Line Moving. What started as a simple move quickly turned into one of the most stressful and dishonest experiences I’ve ever had. I booked through a broker who gave me a clear price and assured me everything was set. But when VTR Line Moving showed up, everything changed. The movers suddenly claimed my inventory was “larger than expected” and demanded almost double the price on the spot. I was stuck — it was moving day, I had to leave, and they knew it. It felt like a shakedown, plain and simple.
Their manager, Greg, was incredibly rude, arrogant, and dismissive. He raised his voice, made inappropriate remarks, and showed zero professionalism or empathy. It was obvious they were taking advantage of people in stressful situations. To make things worse, my delivery was delayed and several items arrived damaged. When I tried to get help or file a claim, nobody responded. Emails, calls, voicemails — nothing. Once they had my money, they completely disappeared.
New Start Relocation has made multiple attempts to contact you by phone and email in an effort to discuss your concerns and work toward a fair resolution.
To date, we have not received a response. We would welcome the opportunity to speak with you and address any outstanding issues.

DO NOT use New Start Relocation. This company knowingly, intentionally and willfully lied to me about how the move go and what the final cost would be. Kent in dispatch is a 100% con-man absent any honesty and or professionalism.
- I was promised a delivery window. DID NOT HAPPEN.
- I was promised there would be no transfer fee. THERE WAS A HUGE TRANSFER FEE.
- I was promised access to 24/7 customer service. DOES NOT EXIST.
- I was promised access to Kent in dispatch for the entirety of the move. HE WENT AWOL.
- The available customer service was NOT helpful at all.
This company is TERRIBLE. I believe the operation to be corrupt. They will promise the moon to get your money, assign your move to some random moving company and then ghost you completely as everything you were promised DOES NOT HAPPEN. They need to be investigated by State and or Federal authorities for illegal business practices.
Mr Freeman's complaint was addressed and resolved directly with the customer. New Start Relocation and Mr Freeman came up with a fair resolution.

UPDATED ON 12/30/2025: Absolutely horrible experience. The broker that was hired to do the actual move screamed in my face and hung up on me while I was in the middle of explaining something. He constantly talked over me and was disgusting. I have never in my life been treated so poorly as a paying customer. I tried explaining that the space would be much less because I had to remove a stop from my quote. He then proceeded to tell me I'd still be charged the same amount regardless of what was on the truck whereas Suzy from New Start said it would be adjusted if there were less items.
I'm absolutely in shambles. After I spoke to Lawrence the first time, I never heard from him again. Do not recommend.

I am blessed I booked with New Start Relocation after my regular movers that I had used for last four moves did not have time on the date of moving. I corresponded with Toni on SMS, he was super responsive and did not let the ball fall at any point. The movers reached on time were really professional and helped me set up even my internet router and cable.

This company is a full on scam. The first liar, Gianna ** provided me an estimate and undercut the amount of things I had. My rates were supposed to be all inclusive at $2805 and change. First Class Movers, who should be called Low Class or No Class Movers, raised the rate to just below $6000. They did not follow their own contract, but forced me to so it could benefit them. They did not get all my things as the contract stipulated they were to do, and they tried to charge me extra for going to get my storage. They damaged my headboard by breaking one of the feet off it and never wrapped up or broke down my white sofa. They had a third party deliver in a semi truck and he tried to swindle me as well for extra money to put things in my storage. He was just as bad as they were. His name is Shuilegin **. He's a swindler as well.
In the end, I had to get a U-Haul and meet the guy from Family Van Lines behind a Walmart to get my things and then pay another set of people to move my things into my storage. My sofa has a footprint in the left inside arm and it is nasty from all the dirt due to never being wrapped up. They never put the broken pieces of my bed with my things so I could try to get it fixed. As a matter of fact, they put on the delivery paperwork that the sofa was broken down. They also signed my name to papers I had not seen before. These people are crooked and schemers!!!!
I will be glad when they finally get what is coming to them. They stored my things for 30 days for free but would not tell me where it was being stored. They don't care about the public, especially single women! They threatened to put my things out on the ground if I did not pay them what they said. They also signed my name to papers I had never seen before. They only care about lining their pockets. Low lifes!!!! I don't even know if I have all my belongings... They get a zero from me. They don't even deserve a one rating!!!!

New Start Relocation acts strictly as a licensed moving broker, and all transportation, packing, storage, and delivery services are performed by the motor carrier selected and contracted for the move. Final charges are based on the actual inventory and services performed at pickup, as outlined in the signed Order for Service and Bill of Lading, which are reviewed and acknowledged prior to loading.
At pickup, the carrier documented additional items and services beyond the original estimated inventory, which resulted in a revised cost that was presented before services continued. We understand pricing changes can be frustrating; however, adjustments are permitted under federal regulations when inventory differs from the estimate.
Regarding the allegations of forged signatures, hidden storage, and threats, we have no documentation or evidence supporting these claims. All paperwork on file reflects standard industry procedures and customer acknowledgment at the time of service.
As a courtesy and in good faith, storage was provided at no cost for a period of time, and we remained in communication attempting to assist despite the challenges encountered. Any claims for damages must be submitted directly to the carrier, who is legally responsible for handling and resolution.
New Start Relocation has made several attempts to contact you to come to a fair resolution, However you have stated there is nothing we can do to address the concerns you have mentioned.
We regret that this move did not meet your expectations and encourage you to contact our office directly if you wish to formally submit documentation so the matter can be reviewed further.

The company was quite responsive to start. As the move came closer, I started to have doubts, but they gave a lower quote and I made a deposit. They told me the name of a moving company they used in a town not far from me, saying they used them often. When they came, their paperwork indicated they were from another city. It was too late to change. The movers packed up everything and said the price might change - which it did. They also left a mess in the house which we had to clean up. I should have checked & encourage everyone to check here & with the BBB on anything that has your personal effects/property. Once they have it, you are under their control.

After calling several moving companies, I called New Start Relocation. Lawrence was very professional, displayed consideration, and compassion due to my urgent situation of relocating my father. His first quote blew the other moving competitors away, which most gave me at least 2 quotes, making it obvious other companies claiming to help veterans, were really out to get the most personal commission for their sale. But Lawrence of New Start Relocation, was genuine and sincere in helping my father, a military veteran. I can't speak highly enough about his due diligence. Lawrence, walked me through everything and I never felt like just another customer he was trying to make a sale to. My father's items were delivered promptly from Nv, as told. I paid my deposit, half at pick up, and the balance on delivery to Tx, 3 days later.
The only thing I didn't care for was the additional charge of $160.00 by the packing movers for each additional 60 feet to their truck. As for the $75.00 second level fee, I understood, because it was explained during initial contract, but, NOT, the distance to the truck's proximity from the apartment, which I know had nothing to do with Lawrence. Thank you to Lawrence and the delivery team Juan C, at NSR. I may call upon you to move my things too, in the near future. Apologies for the delay of my review Lawrence. You are very appreciated.

They were excellently on time and finished the move so professionally, despite a pretty bad rain storm hitting us! I had everything mainly packed but a small scatter of stray things lying around. David took care of everything and had it all relocated within the three hour time minimum. Very affordable rates, too.

I hired New Start Relocation and its company for a move from San Diego to VA. Michael was very responsive in scheduling and finalizing. Very efficient and all of my stuff arrived unscratched and undamaged, even they worked in the rain. It took two and half hours total to move my 1 bedroom with two movers, including some packing and assembling of furniture.

Jacob was very communicative and able to adjust a last minute move. The moving group of three was powerful and very professional. They did a very good job of protecting the floors, red carpet approach, and furniture and even knew where few small pieces required to assemble a bed were packed in a professional way! AVOID NEW START RELOCATION AT ALL COSTS!!!! TLDR; I would rather move every piece of furniture in my home…singlehandedly… in a snow storm… than deal with this company ever again. What I wanted was a new start, and what I got was a good old mess. Read below for an extended account of this relocation nightmare: This company is the definition of unprofessional and lazy. A COMPLETE lack of attention to detail nearly caused my entire move to be delayed and the way they handled the situation was beyond frustrating. I’ve never encountered such mistreatment AND disorganization from a service that’s supposed to handle logistics.
When I tried to get support, the customer service was rude and unhelpful. They also hound you for the first deposit and then get very hard to reach after they have your money!!! After I got heated they even threatened to cancel the move and leave all of my stuff on the curb. Please also take a close look at the so called “5 star” reviews. Many have been posted from a photoless/stock image account and the reviews contain random bolded words…a clear sign they were written in bulk by ChatGPT. I guess their media manager cuts corners too lol.
If you care about your time, your belongings or your peace of mind, PLEASE find another company. New Start Relocation is NOT it friends. As an alternative, I’d recommend piece of cake. Their starting prices were higher, but they don’t nickel and dime you w/ hidden fine print charges, and the professionalism/support…night and day.

I needed a company to move my belongings from my old house to my new house. First time using a moving company. I had called the customer service and spoke with Carleigh. They quoted me a price to go to Arizona, 1k off for booking early then had to change to local move. They charged far more than original price and did NOT adjust far local move. 5400.00!!!! and when asked about it they just said, "Well you signed the paperwork," I tried to get ahold of salesman, unable, I verify I was supposed to have 1k off for early booking, he, Michael, denied offer. I argued with actual movers who said they are contracted to do the job, can’t help, but were also mad at the contractor.

Robbery!! Thieves. Missing belongings, broken electronics. Very vague on delivery date. Was a 4.5 hour drive to new home from CA to AZ, They took belongings way out to out of way to Las Vegas and held for 4 days. Had to get hotel last minute because they don’t communicate up front. Price was MUCH MUCH HIGHER, even though FULLY INVENTORIED EVERYTHING and would’ve held belongings hostage if wouldn’t agree to price increase. Stay away!! They use carbon copies like in the 1970’s for receipt. Not even legible.

The physical pickup, transport, storage, and delivery of household goods are performed by the assigned, licensed motor carrier, which is also responsible for inventory records, documentation, handling, and delivery routing. Carriers may utilize consolidation routes or temporary storage facilities based on logistics and federal regulations, which can affect transit timing.
Delivery dates for interstate moves are provided as estimated windows, not guaranteed dates, and are dependent on routing, distance, and carrier scheduling. We regret if this was not communicated clearly and understand how unexpected delays can cause inconvenience and additional expenses.
Regarding pricing, all quotes are estimates based on the inventory and details provided prior to pickup. If the actual shipment size, services required, or conditions differ from what was originally estimated, the carrier is required to review revised charges with the customer before proceeding. Deposits do not lock in final carrier pricing.
Any claims involving missing or damaged items must be submitted directly to the motor carrier that handled the move, as they are responsible for inventory accuracy, handling, and documentation. While brokers cannot adjudicate claims, our customer service team can assist by providing carrier contact information and guidance on the claims process.

I perfectly loved their inventory system since I got to watch them systematically label each of my stuff with a distinctive barcode including my name and route so none of my item would be forgotten on their journey. Upon their arrival, they even gave me a published inventory list where I could accompany along as the movers marked their own electronic inventory list as well. My precious moment of my move was the unpacking of all my items in my new place and seeing that not one of my things were lost!! I was particularly happy that my beautiful lavender geodes were shipped perfectly from one coast to the other- not an easy task but they did it perfectly!
They satisfied to the positive reviews they have been admitting, the hiccup only flattering a distant memory to the quality of service and his business morals. I can exuberantly say, he will take awesome care of you, any other way, he will step above and beyond to show that his customers are his full accountability! By the time they got in, about 1/3 of the storage was out of the unit, they went to work immediately once arrived. He knew of my circumstance. He felt disgusting about it, propose to go pick up something to eat but by this time, I was so fatigued and wanted to get it going so I denied. He showed her anxiety throughout the evening.
Then as the fridge was eventually out of the dungeon that is my storage unit, the team was speedy to put all the other goods back into the unit. Once they were accomplish. He went one step further and made an managerial business conclusion to offer me such an surprising resolve to make up for all the hurdle this move had bring about. What was proffered impacted me so much that he punctually won my future moving business. It also delivered in retaining my word-of-mouth publicity I often offer for products and services.
Tragically, the previous moving job went over-time. My move kept appropriating pushed back. First to 6PM. Then to almost 7PM by the time they got through at the storage. I was not doing well corporeally while waiting, I was also distress that the time management was not accomplished well. He was upset also - the preceding job did not reveal certain other item that they determined to add while they were already in the moving progression. He notify me that the owner, was regretful with the consequence of my move because it was substandard for his business. He was now going to join his two men to smooth a faster move, encouraging that they will get the work done as efficiently and punctually once they arrived.
The discussion to process the move with them was extraordinary! He was on top of the listing, the move agreement and characteristic, and even getting COI within hours of our discussion, nothing but splendid! He was friendly and fluent, was such a contentment to work with. He went through the facts of the move and we made a conclusion to meet the next evening to complete the move. Well, there was a setback during the moving procedure that could have been prevented. First, I went an hour earlier of our scheduled time at 5PM on the day of the moving to get began on the removal of the stored boxes to clear the way to the fridge. I had thought we would be done by 6, or 6:30PM final and not having eaten lunch earlier, I belief I can survive until then.

Great communication. They were exactly On time! Also Very friendly and did excellent work! They put our items right where we wanted them and cleaned up after themselves without us asking. The paperwork was all in order and they explained the damage process to us if we needed to use it.
