First we were stressed out about moving my parents-in-law here to Florida. New Start made the move easy, even at the move day these 4 guys show up from Bristol Moving and did great job. I can’t recommend New Start Relocation enough! Matt and his crew arrived right on time and were incredibly efficient. What impressed me most was how they handled the tight corners in my townhome. I’d had a different company struggle with my heavy dresser and adjustable bed base when moving in, but Matt’s team navigated them so smoothly and quickly that I didn't even notice the items were gone until they were already loaded. Best of all, the price was excellent. I fully expected to pay much more for this level of service, but the value was unbeatable. Fast, professional, and very careful—they made a stressful process look easy!

Like most people, I was skeptical hiring a moving company. There's so much bad press about changes in price, reliability and the overall safe return of your valuables. Well, not the case with Aaron at New Start Relocation. He knows his business and arranged for excellent movers in our area to bundle our small load with others on the 1,200 mile journey. He answered every question and was in contact with us along the way ensuring all went smoothly. I even panicked after I couldn't find a box, texted Aaron on Sunday afternoon and he responded in minutes ready to help. But the box was never missing! Nothing was missing and nothing was damaged! This is what moving should be like. I ended up with New Start Relocation after using someone else in town, who was somehow rated #1 locally. The difference was night and day. Their crew were some of the best movers we’ve had anywhere (I’ve moved well over a dozen times). They were punctual, professional, aware of what they were moving and aware of our home and our belongings. Our job was two truck loads, but there was no complaining. They worked hard, they got it done, and I saw them shift boxes around to ensure they were properly stacked and things didn’t get broken. They were gracious and respectful. I’m hoping to not move again for a while, but when I do, this is who we’ll call, and I wouldn’t hesitate to refer family or friends.

This company was amazing! I have always had to move myself with the help of family and friends. This time, my family helped me pay for professional movers to make it easier on me and everyone else. I asked friends for a recommendation and New Start Relocation was top of the list. I am so glad for the help from my family in having New Start Relocation help with this move. I just moved from Houston to Boynton Beach. They showed up with 2 huge trucks - when we only needed 1/2 of 1, lol.
But they were prepared. There were 6 guys that showed up to help load the truck, including the boss, Oscar. Every member of the team came up to me and introduced themselves and got straight to work. Everyone was in a good mood, they were careful with my furniture and boxes. Everything was loaded in about an hour. Then 2 of the guys, Matt and Hugo, drove all the way to Houston and unloaded everything in less than an hour and even put my bed back together for me. I did absolutely NOTHING. It was great! They are definitely professionals!! Will recommend this company 100% and will jump at the chance to use them again if I ever need to.

Wow! Hands down the best moving company we have used to date...and this is our 10th move. Oscar was the supervisor and was kind, thoughtful, and has an expertise that ensured the job went smoothly. Nick, Joseph, Danny, and Matt were the four young men who were completing the job. They were all very polite and professional. They wanted to make sure each item was placed in the correct location, has no problem moving anything I asked, and hustled like no other! We had our very full 26 foot U-Haul truck unloaded in about 2 hours. We will definitely be using these guys again when it's time to leave this rental.

If I could leave a zero star review I would. I cannot warn people strongly enough about our experience with New Start Relocation. If you are considering using this company, especially if you are a military family, healthcare worker, or anyone working within a strict moving budget, I strongly recommend researching them thoroughly before giving them any money.
We were originally quoted approximately $2,765 for our move and paid approximately $900 upfront. We specifically identified ourselves as a military family and healthcare workers, and military, healthcare, and AAA discounts were discussed as part of our quote. We relied on the price this company gave us when making our moving plans. Then, the DAY BEFORE our scheduled move, we were told the cost would be approximately $6,000. This was not a minor adjustment. They more than doubled what we had originally been quoted after already taking approximately $900 from us. And there were warning signs before this happened.
About a month before the move, I received a document from New Start Relocation that I was being asked to electronically sign. The document had important information missing from it. I immediately contacted the representative we had been working with because I was not comfortable signing a partially blank moving document. I specifically told him that the document did not show the pickup/moving date or clearly reflect what we had already paid. I told him, in writing, that I was uncomfortable signing something with blank information that could potentially be filled in afterward and that I would sign it once the missing information was added. Rather than simply correcting the document, I was directed to call because it would supposedly be easier to go over instead of text. During our telephone conversation, I was told I needed to sign it.
I had concerns then that the incomplete paperwork could become a problem later. Unfortunately, it did. I also attempted to contact this same representative again approximately a week before our move, and he stopped responding to me. Then, instead of hearing back from the person who had been handling our move, a completely different representative contacted us the day before pickup to finalize the inventory. That is when everything suddenly changed.
We were told multiple belongings supposedly had not been included in our original inventory and that our approximately $2,765 move was now going to cost around $6,000. We absolutely discussed most of the items they later claimed were not included. Even assuming there had legitimately been a few misunderstandings or omitted items, I find it completely unbelievable that those differences reasonably justified increasing the price by more than $3,000. This company had weeks to clarify our inventory.
I contacted them. I questioned their incomplete paperwork. I asked for missing information to be corrected. I contacted our representative again the week before our move. Then he stopped responding. And somehow the alleged inventory problem was not brought to our attention until the day before we were supposed to move, when we were already within the period where our approximately $900 deposit was supposedly non-refundable.
That timing left us with essentially no reasonable options. Either we somehow came up with an additional $3,000+ with less than 24 hours' notice, or we canceled, lost our deposit, and figured out how to move ourselves at the last minute. We do not have an extra $3,000–$4,000 sitting around because a moving company suddenly decides the price it quoted us is no longer the price. So we had to cancel. Instead of having movers handle the relocation we planned and budgeted for, we are now renting a U-Haul and moving everything ourselves.
What makes this particularly upsetting to me is that we identified ourselves to this company as a military family and healthcare workers. Those things were important enough to New Start Relocation when they were discussing discounts and trying to earn our business. But when it came time to actually handle our move with transparency, communicate with us, respond to our concerns, provide complete documentation, and honor a price reasonably consistent with what we had been quoted, this was how we were treated. I do not consider that respectful treatment of any customer, much less people this company specifically acknowledged as a military family and healthcare workers. So I particularly want other military families and healthcare workers to know what happened to us before trusting this company with their move, their money, or their belongings.
Do not assume that because you have discussed your belongings with a sales representative and received a quote that the amount you were quoted is necessarily what you will ultimately be asked to pay. Do not assume that because you raised concerns weeks in advance that those concerns will be resolved before moving day. And absolutely do not assume that because someone initially seems helpful during the sales process that you will receive the same responsiveness after your deposit has been collected.
After this happened, I started digging further into reviews of this company and found other consumers describing experiences that sounded disturbingly similar, including substantial increases in price and disputes involving deposits. I wish I had found those reviews before giving New Start Relocation nearly $900.For anyone considering this company, I recommend that you save every text, email, estimate, inventory list, and signed document. Screenshot everything. Make sure your pickup date, payments, inventory, and pricing are actually documented. Do not sign paperwork containing blank or incomplete information. Get every item on your inventory confirmed in writing. Do not rely solely on what a salesperson tells you over the phone. Read the cancellation and deposit language extremely carefully. Research consumer complaints before paying a deposit. Our experience, in simple terms:
Original quote: approximately $2,765.Deposit paid: approximately $900.
I questioned incomplete paperwork before the move and asked that missing information be corrected. I contacted our original representative again approximately a week before the move and received no response. A different representative contacted us the day before the move. We were suddenly told items were missing from our inventory, including items we maintain had already been discussed. New estimated cost: approximately $6,000.
We could not produce thousands of additional dollars with one day's notice. We were forced to cancel and arrange a U-Haul so we could move ourselves.We are now disputing the loss of our deposit. I feel completely misled by the way this move was represented to us from the beginning compared with what we were told at the last possible moment. Had New Start Relocation told us from the beginning that our move was going to cost approximately $6,000, we never would have hired them and never would have paid the deposit. Instead, we planned our move around a quote of approximately $2,765 and were confronted with a dramatically different number when we had almost no time left to make other arrangements. That is why I am writing this review.
People need to know what happened to us before they find themselves standing in their home the day before a move, with their belongings packed, thousands of dollars more being demanded than they budgeted for, and no realistic alternative except to cancel and move everything themselves. I would never use New Start Relocation again, and I strongly recommend that consumers—especially military families and healthcare workers—research this company and its complaint history very carefully before handing over a deposit.

Have to give a one star, but if I could give a -10 I would. WORST, WORST place to move you. They just don’t care about your merchandise. They broke and cut most of my belongings. They are ** when unloading your belongings, quoted me one price, then a couple of days before your move, when they call, your price will raise about 4k spent 10k with them to just cut and destroy my belongings. WORST PLACE EVER.

Very disappointed. I’ve never had a mice so messed up in my life and I’m 67 years old. I was helping a friend in a bad lifestyle trying to move back to her hometown in Indiana from Mississippi. I feel so was scammed. I didn’t realize the broker went by cubicle feet. I saw the poundage. I didn’t know the mover wouldn’t take sacks. Had to buy extra boxes. Half of my things were left behind. The broker sends the price then the movers claim it’s too much and increases the price at least 3 times the original price. I didn't have this kind of money. And the movers was delayed 3 days from original date. Do not use this company. I expect a refund to make this right. We are being requested to pay 4900 when Atlas Van Lines only cost 2500 a year ago with twice as much belongings. I told the movers to leave. We do not have that kind of money for a domestic violence move.

New Start Relocation is the current name, they previously used Eagle Moving Group. This should be a good indicator of whether this company is highly rated or not. If a company is highly rated and performs excellent service, then there is NO way they would change their name. Any five star reviews read are fake reviews posted by employees. I have researched many of these reviews and have traced them back to the originator. One such review had the picture of a Minister living in Ohio stating his great move to Florida.
The thing is, the Minister did not move to Florida or post the review. The information on website for this company makes it appear that they are the actual movers but are only the broker. When they provide the moving quote over the phone, it is NOT a quote to move your household goods as portrayed. The amount of the entire quote is what you will pay to New Start Relocation as the broker. The actual moving company arrives and they need to determine how to make money for their company. This is where the additions to the bill, double charges, etc.
I had been charged to move what they considered a large item three times. They also charged for every type of specialty packing box available but did not use any specialty packing boxes. Example, specialty packing boxes to move California King box springs and mattress. Both were half wrapped in cheap plastic, which ended up ripping. The mattress was so dirty it was no longer of any value. Kitchen items were tossed into boxes without wrapping. Every piece of furniture that is entirely or partially made out of wood was chipped. Two large cutting boards had not been wrapped and following one month in storage were covered in dirt and dust, so straight into the trash. Items are left behind when they begin moving your household goods onto the truck.
When loading the household goods onto the truck you will be needed by the foreman to review charges and have a discussion. Since you were not there to witness the loading process you are not able to file a complaint with the broker. The moving truck will not be fully loaded, there will be no boxes stacked and every item will be spread out to ensure the customer pays for a second truck or third truck. They continue writing and re-writing quotes, charges, extras, and after a while you have no idea which documents are valid. They do not apply stickers with numbers as every other mover, so there is a huge problem trying to determine if everything has been delivered. I had two sheets of items listed on each item as "box". Impossible to reconcile.
The movers are NOT professional movers and the four that worked on the final delivery to my home had full time jobs and this was for side money. The remove the items from the truck and place them wherever they want. Has nothing to do with where you informed them to be placed. You will be charged an additional amount at the time of delivery and this additional amount must be paid in cash. A portion if not all of this additional amount is used to pay the unloaders in cash.
The insurance provided for the move that so called covers damages is a joke. Damages are not paid based on the value of an item such as my work desk that was totally destroyed. Damages are paid based on the weight of the item and ends up a few dollars for what was once a very nice wooden desk. When the move, for lack of a better term, is complete, you will have paid New Start Relocation what you thought had been the cost of the move, then you will pay the company that loads the truck almost the same amount, then you will pay all of the extras that are added, and last but not least is the final charge that must be paid in cash when the truck arrives at the final destination. If not paid, then the truck remains locked and they will return it to the warehouse and begin charging a storage fee. You will also be charged an additional delivery fee.
Forget government oversight whether stated or federal. Yes, there are all of these websites stating to check this and verify that but when it comes down to providing any assistance, you are on your own and they are useless. The sales people at New Start Relocation will inform you that they will be with you every step of the way to ensure a smooth process, so there is no need to worry. Contact them anytime for any reason because they are will you. After they receive payment you will never hear from this salesperson again. They will NOT return emails, phone calls, or texts. If you select this company, then you have no right to complain after everything I have stated happens to you.
We sincerely apologize for the experience you had and regret that your move did not meet the level of service you expected from New Start Relocation.
After reviewing your concerns, New Start Relocation worked with you toward a resolution and, as a courtesy and in good faith, issued a refund of $2,000.00.

During the initial quote, it was expressly mentioned that my vehicle needed to be transported along with my household goods. Two days before the move, New Start Relocation called to confirm all the details, at which time they informed me that moving a vehicle would cost an additional $1,300. Too late in the game to go with another moving company and I'm out of my deposit. Unorganized and unfriendly staff to boot.

Make sure to ask for the T&Cs before you sign! Their refund of deposit policy is horrible. I started working with Jay at New Start in December of 2025 with intentions of moving in the summer of 2026. We ended up finding a different local company to work for and did not require moving. I shopped around and New Start seemed to offer the best deal overall but not the cheapest deal. I was fine with that as I wanted to work with a reputable company; I made the wrong choice. Turns out once you sign the bill of lading you have 72 hours to cancel for a refund.
My deposit was $2400. After calling them and about 20 minutes of back and forth they offered to give back $792. Citing administration fees for 66% of the transaction. I knew going into this there would be some fee associated with the refund and did not expect the full amount back. But since when does it cost $1608 to administer the documents for the move. I would save yourself the headache and work with a company that does not let "corporate policies" get in the way of treating people right.

Although the cancellation occurred outside the agreed refund period, New Start Relocation offered a partial refund of $792 as a good-faith resolution. I hired New Start Relocation to move me from Chicago to Florida. The company picked up my home belongings two weeks ago and still have not delivered my home belonging to my new address. The price I was quoted at the beginning as now almost doubled and still have not received my belongings. When I called them today. My belongings are sitting in a truck still in Chicago. The representative stated that they have not yet found a truck to deliver my belongings. I am 80 years old and highly upset at the services I am receiving from New Start. I am now forced to hire a lawyer and file a lawsuit against this company. NEVER BOOK THEM.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this company at all costs. They quoted me an estimate as a moving broker, but when the movers came, the estimate was way higher. They said it was based on cubic feet, and I argued that they went over the rooms and packing with me, and the cubic feet should be correct. No one was able to assist me with the move when I called the company, as it was a weekend. They said they would pick up my stuff on Friday and have it delivered to my new place on Saturday, but that was a lie too. It took 8 days to get my stuff.
The company they had pick up my stuff and move it to was incredibly rude and didn’t even know they were packing me up until they arrived. When the company packed my materials, they didn’t label the boxes, and the kitchen knives were placed in them at random, not even wrapped. When I called to complain about the cost, they said they had emailed me the itemized list, which never arrived at my email address either. When they moved me into my new place, they had one worker who was contacted that day to come and help. Brittany from New Start Relocation said she would be available when my delivery came. I tried to call her, but she did not pick up or return my phone call that day or even a week later. My move from South Dakota to Kansas was atrocious because of New Start Relocation and their terrible communication and customer service.

New Start Relocation acted as the moving broker for this relocation and provided an estimate based on the inventory and information supplied prior to pickup. At pickup, the servicing carrier is responsible for confirming the actual volume of the shipment and any additional packing or services required. Any changes to the shipment can result in an adjustment to the final transportation charges.
We also understand your concerns regarding the packing, labeling of boxes, handling of your belongings, and the conduct of the moving crew. These services were performed by the servicing carrier, not directly by New Start Relocation. Nevertheless, we take these concerns seriously and regret that the service provided did not meet your expectations.
Regarding delivery, interstate moves are subject to routing, scheduling, truck availability, and other logistical factors, and an exact delivery date cannot always be guaranteed. We apologize for any misunderstanding regarding the anticipated delivery timeframe and for the communication issues you experienced while awaiting your shipment.
