This company is the biggest "con" & "scam"! How are the Dallas Cowboys letting them use their name on the trucks and in advertisements. Jerry Jones you need your attorneys on this ASAP. I've had much better experiences with people who live under the freeway bridges moving by belongings at $10.00 an hour! I am 100% disabled, with broken neck and back. These 3 twenty-somethings were on their 1st and 2nd day on the job. They were slow, reckless and not qualified for any move. They put my stuff in the largest storage unit @ $300.00 a month, throwing everything in like a football. Broke and destroyed my very expensive one of kind items. Came back to the 2 bedroom apt, that had 1 bed and dresser and a partial garage of boxed up stuff. It was a total disaster. They stole the garage clicker, so I wouldn't see all the stuff they left! Then the apartment was atrocious, so much more to move all by myself with no friends or family.

They had the hugest 26' ft. truck with the grandma's attic above the cab. These trucks are meant for 4 bedroom houses. They left me with days worth of moving the things they left behind, and into another storage unit @ $150.00 a month. Then they had the nerve to try and charge me over $1,500.00! Plus extra charges on the apartment cause I was out on the 1st, also having to sleep on floor! I called every day trying to get some customer service, to no avail. It was just one big joke to them.

Everybody who gets screwed over by this company, needs to help put them out of business. Call your banks and stop payments making sure to gather all your evidence and witnesses, then take them to Small Claims Court at least depending on how much is damaged and stolen. My husband is also 100% Combat Disabled Veteran, who was in the hospital recovery from The V.A. Healthcare system that nearly killed him from their negligence and malpractice. He could not believe what they did to us. Now, we are getting ready to try figure out who can help us with this ginormous mess and help us move to Austin. NEVER, EVER HIRE THIS COMPANY and if you did put a complaint in with the BBB and Chamber of Commerce too! I have included a few of the 40+ pictures to go along with my Tale of Woe and Warning!!!

Do not use All My Sons moving. We made arrangements with the company and had them scheduled to arrive at a certain time two weeks prior. They then changed their schedule and added another move before ours which caused us to be delayed in moving for a day (which we were never told). Then there are so many hidden costs: tape, boxes, saran wrap that were never mentioned (by the manager David). They never sent an estimator to our house. Also they have a policy of weight limit for the truck that we were never told (by David) so at the last second we had to purchase a U-Haul trailer which was never offered to be reimbursed.

Then there was a per diem charge for our move that was never mentioned (by David). We never received an official contract or pamphlet explaining our rights and responsibilities. Then there was a labor transportation charge added that was never mentioned (by David). Overall this was a racket that takes advantage of people. The moving team was great and recognized that we were taken advantage of. The management of the Memphis office is terrible and inexperienced and will take your money and hold your stuff hostage until you pay. There is no accountability in the office as David broke protocol during the entire process.

First of all the 3 young movers were awesome. Move took 7hrs. Cost was over $1400 (just two beds and dressers, no living room or dining room and no appliances). The company did not call me all day, arrival was scheduled for 1pm, called company and said they will be there around 3pm. They arrived at 6pm. At the second stop they told my girlfriend that their Boss said they had to be back by midnight and could not finish the move. I called him and said, "I froze my account until you finished the job". He had an attitude, he called me back and said they will be done by 1AM, with the move. I paid the amount.

The next morning I found out items were left at the house and all over clothes. He took the money and the job was not done. Call customer care and she referred me to the same guy, I told her why would I even talk to him. He was the only to talk to, so my girlfriend ended up making over 8 trips to finish the move. On the site all they show is the 5 star reviews. Very misleading. Took my money without finishing the job after we discussed this on the phone.

Horrifying from beginning to end. Presented as a one day move...took two. Never finished...left half a garage of items. Never returned as committed. Management and customer service was polite yet less than effective. Move to storage unit...packaging was very unprofessional. Many items were broken or damaged. I would never hire or recommend this company.

They used huge boxes for small items and filled empty spaces with excessive packing material. I can understand that a quote is a quote, but to be off by almost $3000 is something else. Was supposed to have 3 men show up at 1 pm. Finally, 2 men showed up at 5:45 pm. They practically threw my stuff on the truck. We left Royse City at 8:40 pm and arrived at my house at Lake Tawakoni at 9:30. They did not leave until 11:45; nearly midnight. Next day, discovered the damage they did. They cracked my big screen TV. They broke 2 of the handles on my stainless steel, side by side refrigerator, plus put dents in the doors. They broke a wall clock. On one if the bed frame platforms, they lost one of the wheels on the frame. They propped it up with a brick. They told me to look for the wheel in the yard in the morning.

When I called customer care, the rep said it would take 30 days for them to file a complaint. I asked him if I was supposed to go 30 days without a TV. His reply, "well, that is up to you." I am a 70 year old widow. I use a cane, or walker most of the time. I cannot walk in the yard looking for a piece of my furniture they lost. I packed my entire house on my own. I paid good money for these clowns to move me. I have never been treated with this much disrespect.

RUN! Do not walk...RUN away from this disrespectful crew of "barely legal" children that will show up and trash your belongings. ABSOLUTELY NO RESPECT FOR MY ANTIQUE AND VINTAGE BELONGINGS. Threw my belongings into a heap at the storage locker. Broke many of things (my deceased mother's antiques, dining room cabinet, that I BEGGED them to be careful with, BROKEN). Had a whole dolly of antique glassware fall over (while they were unloading). The mover that is clearing this locker says that a few of the BOX MOUNTAINS fell over on their own. Oh and then the little boy (mover) begs a freaking tip off of me while I was in storage office paying for rents. Well a picture is worth a thousand words so...just look at the pics.

RUN...Run fast and run far. Run away from this disrespectful group of children sent to do the work of adults. Oh and when I called to level my complaint I was met by some MORON that just could not wrap his head around. My printer is in that load idiot and I have no way to print a complaint form. Kept telling him to MAIL it to me. He kept saying "if you are going to yell at me". I was not yelling at him I was attempting INSTRUCTION...something that none of the people in this corporation know anything about. Kept INSTRUCTING that moving crew to "be careful", "let me get a blanket for that table" (table out the door and onto the truck before I returned with it), "PLEASE BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL WITH THAT DINING ROOM CABINET"...all INSTRUCTIONS that fell on deaf ears. RUN.

Was looking for a mover for my 600 sq ft apartment. I called around to All My Sons and a few others to get some quotes. A different company told me they charge a flat rate of 250 and they had a 2 hour minimum and there would be a 100 travel fee. $600 and change I thought? No waaay! So I called the next name on the list...All My Sons. Person who answered read some cheesy ** script that said something to the effect of “welcome to All My Sons Moving. I’m so and so. Thank you for joining our family.” I should’ve known right then and there. But I proceeded to ask him about my apartment, told him I had 4 items of furniture and that was it. He told me no problem, it will be 159/hour and that he was sure it wouldn’t take longer than an hour (mind you he planned to send 3 men).

So the week of the move comes, I remember the guy saying that someone would call me a week before the move to confirm a time. It was Wednesday and we moved on Saturday. So I gave them a call, a different cheesy employee welcomed me to the family, asked for my info to look me up and told me to hold on so he can ask for the coordinating manager. Of course they were “busy” and he told me the dude or dudette would “call me right back”. Shocker: Friday at around 1 someone called me and told me the time would be 8:30. I was actually glad they gave me an early time. They’ll be done by 9:30 and head to the new apartment (EXACTLY 10 minutes away) so shouldn’t be much associated with travel time and then however long it takes them to unload. It’s just drop and go. But let’s be fair and say an hour to unpack.

That’s 2 hours at $159 and whatever they charge for travel (this very pertinent info wasn’t shared with me until after they had arrived at the new location with all of my things packed). Oh and they make you put down $100 beforehand and they tell you it will go towards the final price. Ha! Anywho, so I’m thinking alright 159x2=318 and even if they charge $80 for travel or “gas” (for a literal 13 mile trip) I will still be coming in at around $400. And although that sucked, what was I going to do? I had little to no reliable resources to move an apartment of crap from a 3rd Floor apartment to a 3rd Floor apartment. So that day they arrive, seem hungover, the gentleman who handled the paperwork (Tyree I believe) seemed 3 sheets to the wind, but they did a run through, made me sign some vague paperwork and started packing.

An hour and a half later they leave for the new place (after asking if my new apartment was also on the 3rd Floor and then proceeded to scoff and roll his eyes). I sent my boyfriend to the truck because duh, divided we conquer ;) ...bad idea lol. He texts me from the new apartment “500”... I was in shock. Who? What? Where? When? Why? I called him and to my dismay it was true. They charged me 159 for “2.45” as it was explained to me so that is $437.35 + ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY NINE dollars for a literal 13 mile drive...and mind you I already paid $100 deposit so really I paid 600 some too many dollars which was poorly quoted, wrongfully executed and in my opinion criminal. Will willingly insert my opinion and probably recite or refer to this story verbatim for years to come. Screw you All My Sons!

The move was scheduled for 8am, at 9:15 am I called because nobody showed up. They claimed a computer glitch. Just a couple days before I confirmed the 8am move with someone who claimed to be one of the owners. They finally showed up 4.5 hours late. The move for my 86 year old mother in a 1 bedroom apt was suppose to be about $400 yet in the end it took 7 hours even with me helping carry boxes and furniture. They charged me over $750! They never even apologized nor did they respond to my reply when they asked for feedback. I would never recommend this company based on the experience I had and their total lack of response to feedback. They are hard sell upfront and say what you want to hear, then total let down. This company moved my belongings from Petersburg, Va to a storage unit then a desk to where I would reside located in Richmond, VA. They damaged my belongings, I believe they just threw some things into the storage unit, and piled it as high as possible in the corner of the storage unit where I couldn’t inventory the items. By the time we arrived to my last location in Richmond there were things still on the truck that should have went into the storage unit, and when I stood inside the truck I found items hiding under and between blankets.

One particular item went on the front of the truck but somehow ended up in the rear corner of the truck under blankets. I asked several times if I needed to watch and supervise. The lead guy said no at least five times, but still performed questionable work. Without my knowing, the lead guy had unpacked my work unit and operates the equipment causing me to lose work! What I needed was piled on the very top of the pile in the storage unit. Watch them, and do your own math! Look at what they did to the few things I had! I had a storage unit that all they had to do was line everything up against the wall.

I have done a lot of moving over the past 10 years and have dealt with a lot of moving companies. My husband and I frequently have moved stuff in and out of my condo to a storage unit for our tenants. We should’ve listened to the reviews we read! We have never had a company estimate a price and then try and double it upon arrival! What makes it worse is we made a $100 deposit that we were told was to reserve a time slot at 12pm. At 12:05 my husband called and they said it would be at least 2pm. This was frustrating because we received a call the previous week and my husband called back and was told someone would call him back, but no one did! They tried to blame their bad service on us for not trying to continue to call back! Wait what? We have to follow up with you after we already followed up with you? This is insane.

Not only did they not show up at 2, but we had to keep calling them and the dispatcher would say they were en route and would call us... No call! We called back a few more times when we still hadn’t heard from them. Mind you we don’t live at this location so we are just there waiting all day because they keep saying they will be there soon... At 4pm I called and said we needed to be done by 6 and had planned to be done by 2pm. I explained I have worked with a ton of companies and while 15-30 min can be expected that 4pm was ridiculous. They said they would get a discount.

We realized things seemed shady and upon arrival we noticed the older man and the driver smelled of alcohol right away. I told him I wanted a quote before they loaded the truck because I was beginning to believe some of the reviews. He came back with double the price we were quoted. We got on the phone with the manager who refused to budge on price. He did not hold his company to a high enough standard to stand by what they promised us. When we chose to go with them we knew we only had a few items and they could move in an hour and then they charge an hour of travel and we confirmed it would be around $300 and she said yes.

My husband is very level headed and I have never seen him so angry. After getting nowhere with the manager we told the guys to put everything back and sent the truck home. Do you know how bad a company has to be to wait 4 hours for a mover and then reject them because they are so dishonest and you refuse to work with a company like that? Please take our advice and take these reviews to heart. We typically take them with a grain of salt, but we are regretting it now. There were 2 younger gentleman with the driver, who smelled of alcohol, and they were 100% apologetic and professional. They really wanted to get the job done for us. It’s unfortunate they work for such a crooked company. I would’ve hired them on the side if I could’ve.

My wife and I used All My Sons Moving. They told us they were going to stop and eat. We said we would meet them at our house because they had already made one trip. They just unloaded our stuff under the carport and told us they had to leave. We paid them along with a sizable tip. We started unpacking and noticed we had a lot of things missing. They basically robbed us when they stopped to eat. We were missing many valuables worth over 5,000 dollars. We tried to collect from them to no avail.

We tried to sue but they had a small phrase at the bottom of the moving contract that said they were only responsible for belongings up to 325 dollars and had to sign a paper that we couldn't say anything about what happened to anyone. That's been over 3 years ago and I am still very angry. I wish I could give them a negative five stars but can't. Every so often we still run across missing items that they stole. If people are smart they should stay away from these thieves. We lost so much sentimental items that can never be replaced. I hate them for what they did to my family.

Do not use this company!!! They use several tactics to waste time and add more charges to your bill!!! They are all in on it!!! I overheard their boss yelling (on the phone) at them because they unloaded my truck in less than the projected time (30 mins vs 90 mins) - I helped them unload the truck once I caught on to their tactics.

Here are some tactics they use:
    1) On the day of your move they tell you that they don’t have a 2-person crew in your area but they have a 3-person crew, and they don’t know if they’ll have a 2-person crew available that day (they do this so you panic and request the 3-person crew, costing you more $$$).
    2) They called me at 12:06 pm they were outside but they started counting at 12:00 pm.
    3) They came upstairs without any moving materials/equipment just to look at my apt and then went back down to get the moving materials.

    4) They try to wrap everything (including things that clearly do not need to be wrapped).

    5) They walk and work extremely slowly.
    6) They pack your stuff close to the doors of the truck so that it would look like it's hard to close and they need to re-arrange your stuff.
    7) They forget stuff in the back of their truck purposely just so they could reopen the truck and get it out.
    8) They bring their own materials (like packing tape) and overcharge you for them in the end, without asking you in the first place.
    9) They do not care about you, all they care about is maximizing the moving time.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED, YOU'LL REGRET USING THIS COMPANY - ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE NOT AN ASSERTIVE PERSON.

BAIT AND SWITCH!!! BE CAREFUL CHOOSING THIS COMPANY!!! I just wanted EVERYONE know that I was really disappointed with my move. I was quoted a lot cheaper from other companies, but I chose yours because I was given this amazing demonstration on how much care was going into my move and how All My Sons was a family company. I especially liked that my house would be protected and that my things would be treated as if they were their own. I was given a quote for 4 people originally and after discussing how that was outside of my budget, was given a reasonable estimate that would only include 3 movers. I was reassured that there would be 2 men moving and one in the truck organizing to make things more productive and that all my things would get moved in the time allotted.

We decided to wrap our furniture ourselves. We got rid of multiple items including the large dining table and 8 chairs, the buffet, a barbeque, and a large shoe rack closet. We also broke down all the furniture with the exception of the master bed. I asked that if I took out items from the move if it would be cheaper and I was told that it was. Or that if I had extra boxes, they could take those in place. Neither of these things took place and I was still charged the same. The movers stated they finished a little early, but I was not credited any money. The movers that moved took a really long time because there was only one person moving (at a slow pace) and two people that stayed in the truck for most of the move.

I've moved multiple times and have never seen movers leave almost the entire labor up to one person. Then I was also charged material fees even though we wrapped most of our own so they didn't wrap them and they didn't even use mattress bags to move our mattresses even though I specifically asked for that. I was charged $85 for this service that really was only used to wrap a couple of items and provide a cardboard protection for my TVs. My computer table, the couches, all of the beds, and the outdoor furniture were not wrapped at all. I was told that all my furniture would be wrapped to protect from travelling and sliding around just in case. Then at my home, the carpet, the door jamb protectors, and the staircase protection was not used either.

I am extremely disappointed because I just moved 3 years ago with Warren Movers and I paid less and I felt like the movers cared a lot more about my things. I only chose All My Sons because I was so impressed with the demonstration that really was not even implemented in my move and the fact that it could be less than what was quoted, if we took some steps to speed the process. So even with everything we did in advance (including eliminating a fair amount of furniture that would need to be moved), they still didn't take any of the boxes, they didn't take time to protect our home or furniture, and we still had to pay the same amount.

I wouldn't even feel so unsatisfied if I felt that they were working really hard and just genuinely ran out of time, but I had movers moving multiple large appliances that same day from Best Buy and they did such an amazing job, working hard and fast and time did not even matter in their case. They also cared about how they moved my furniture in my home, being careful not to drag any furniture across my wood flooring.

I'm really disappointed in this experience and saddened that a company that prides themselves on being family-oriented and caring, hires employees that don't follow through with these ideals. I REALLY liked the up-front meeting- it was really friendly and positive. It made me feel good, like someone was helping me out with my move, not that I was paying someone for a service. However, the actual move was so far from this and the resulting feeling was more like I was being taken advantage of because I was already locked in for that time and price. At this moment, I would not recommend this company or wish this experience on anyone as moving is hard enough. I hope this company can improve their follow-through in the future.

I hired them to move my belongings. The more things I unpacked the more things I found damaged. I took pictures and REPEATEDLY called the office. Each time I got another person that assured me my claim was being handled. They never returned calls or emails. The movers damaged several hundred dollars of items and All My Sons, never made any attempt to rectify the damage done. They stalled and lied to me about getting and processing my claim.

My furniture was damage, NUMEROUS items broken and scratched. They did not take care of my furniture at all. It was jammed into the truck as tightly as possible without covering items. Two of the movers worked like dogs! The other two not so much. I tipped them a HUGE amount not knowing the damage I would later find. The office even tried to cheat me out of the quote. It poured down rain and the movers were delayed in the middle for about an hour. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They are totally unreliable. Not to mention I am out a lot of money.

Do not waste your time and money using All My Sons Moving and Storage, Though they try to pass themselves off as the same company, they are not. Dennis (works over the phone) is rude, and Isiah (also over the phone), though appearing helpful, lied to me multiple times and has refused to follow-up with me regarding items that came up missing during the move. Juan in the “call center” failed to pass important information onto the movers that resulted in increased damage being done to a dresser and end table. These items needed to be lifted from the bottom because the tops had become loose. When the movers attempted to lift the dresser, the front left corner came off and caused damage to the top of the dresser. The same thing happened to the table, but there was no permanent damage, the top just won’t attach correctly to the base at the moment and needs to be repaired.

Juan informed me that the movers would disassemble and reassemble all furniture that needed it. However, I had to completely disassemble my son’s bunk bed in order for it to be moved into his new bedroom (which I also did). The movers disassembled our bedroom dresser and mirror and did not reassemble it. The screws needed are missing and the company (Isiah) has not returned my calls regarding their location. The movers also removed our master bedroom door in an attempt to get my son’s bunk beds into his room and did not put it back on when they couldn’t get the bed in. Two hours after the movers arrived, I was told that the estimated time to complete the job would be 6 hours at over $180 per hour. I called the company to inform them that I wasn’t budgeted for that much. Isiah informed me that there wasn’t anything that he could do and that the movers should stop now and unload everything that had been loaded.

About 45 minutes went by before the driver informed me that the company had decided to allow me to pay $600 that day and write a postdated check for the remaining amount for the following Wednesday (February 28th), which I agreed to do. The following day, we realized items had been damaged, not reassembled, and there were pieces missing from furniture. I called the office and spoke with Dennis, who rudely informed me that because they made a deal with me on payment, they didn’t have to reassemble everything. I called him out on his unprofessionalism and rudeness and he hung up on me. I called back and spoke with Isiah who informed me of the same regarding making us a deal. He told me, however, that he would check with the movers regarding the missing items needed to reassemble our furniture. It has now been 4 days and I haven’t heard back at all.

I have stopped payment on the check due to the job not being completed along with the missing and damaged items. Once everything is returned/completed, I will pay the company a discounted rate because of their failure to complete the job as promised. I used All My Sons eight years ago to do two moves, both taking about 4 hours and cost less than $600. The company is under new ownership now and the work takes twice as long because the movers are forced to wrap and secure everything, even mattresses, blankets, etc.! This is clearly how the company prolongs jobs in order to make more money off their customers. Our move began at 12:00 p.m. and completed at 7:45 p.m. I will not be using the company again.

This would be negative stars if I could. We lost our mattress AND bed frame in the move (I have the receipt of our $5,270 purchase). All My Sons insurance sold me on a $20,000 liability insurance that I paid extra for, and told me they would completely replace anything that got damaged. Mind you, Neither I nor my pregnant wife have a bed to sleep on now... Their claims take at minimum 30 days. 30 days!

35 days later, they're offering me $4.00 a pound for our bed. ($500? That won't get me another $5000 bed). They've voided the warranty on my bed because of how they moved it, and they won't repair it. They also broke a glass side table, put 4+ holes in our walls, and scuffed up our rented house before the move. I feel utterly cheated by the sales department, All My Sons, the claims, their sales pitch. This experience has been utter hell.

I, under no circumstances, would EVER recommend using them again. They lie to get you into a contract, and that contract apparently doesn't have to be held. Instead of their "full value replacement" they promised me, it's apparently okay because they can't find someone to repair it, to just fall back to $4.00/lb. HORRIBLE BUSINESS. I will repost this everywhere. I've tried for 6 weeks to get progress on this, and I still have no mattress to sleep on. Thanks AMS.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This company based in Charlotte NC is horrible. DO NOT hire them for your move. They lied to me to get my move, underquoted my move, refused to come survey property to be moved, this despite my repeated requests that they come survey the move to make sure the quote was accurate, because I didn't want surprises, as I said to them, specifically, "I don't want surprises at the end and have it be doubled." I had a UHaul truck rented for the move and free labor so I would not have hired All My Sons and paid more than double had they been honest at the onset. I cancelled truck only believing the quote. The rep for them chuckled and guaranteed me it wouldn't be double. It might "be a little more, but not double". Well, at end of move, it was more than doubled!

I have been trying to deal with them to resolve this. At first, they ignored my emails for 3 weeks. Then they gave me three different excuses, I call them flat out lies, as to why they won't reimburse me for at least part of the overquoted and paid amount. They have said that they "wish there was more than they could do", they wish they "could give" me some money", but they don't. The movers assured me when they came to move stuff that it would be done in the quoted time, but they started slowing down during the move in spite of my constantly pushing them to move along. They also broke a large TV, didn't protect it properly.

Strangely, the head guy of the move asked me to not say anything to anyone about that, and that he would file the damage claim. I had asked personnel at the company who I dealt with at the onset, to give me the name of person who would review my complaint. They never told me about the Customer Feedback department. When I finally got a hold of the Customer Feedback, (CF) department for All My Sons, and only because the adjuster handling the TV claim told me who to contact for the issue of the quote, and she assured me that settling the TV claim would NOT affect my claim for reimbursement due to All My Sons falsely and intentionally misrepresenting the amount to be billed, the CF person has been giving me all sorts of lies and excuses for not reimbursing me for at least part of claim.

Now they refuse to deal with me because they claim I was not the contracted party. That's another lie. I placed the call, I hired them, I paid the deposit, I paid the final bill, and disputed it. My son's TV was broken and he signed the release form for that claim. It was his TV. I asked the adjuster handling that claim if I should sign that since I hired them, and she said no, that my son should because it was his TV. She assured me that him signing the release would NOT compromise my complaint regarding the quote. She was the one who directed me to file my complaint with CF after I told her that my emails to the personnel at the company were unanswered or unresolved. I detrimentally relied on her word, promise and direction, so she clearly misled me and lied to me, intentionally or not, which now results in my financial loss. She had authority or apparent authority, to my understanding, since she spoke as an authorized representative of the company.

And because of that, now they are saying the Release was for all claims. The Release was for the TV only, and as such was represented to me by their own adjuster. That is misrepresentation, a fraudulent and false statement on which I relied to my detriment. They are the most reprehensible company, that, in my experience and opinion, intentionally under quoted a move, being negligent in not doing their duty to survey the move prior to move to ensure their quote was accurate and true and fair, even after my insistence they do that. I have been financially harmed by their negligence, their incompetence, and their intentionally misleading and unprofessional dealing, or lack of dealing with me in good faith. I filed a complaint with the BBB. They say that All My Sons states they can't deal with me because I am not the contracted party.

I urge you to call other movers. Do not hire them. All My Sons cannot be trusted when they quote a move. Neither are they willing to deal fairly or in good faith with you after the move if there is a problem. I have been harmed financially by their negligence and irresponsibility. Don't let it happen to you. I am pursuing this to the full extent because I don't think they should be allowed to do business like this and because I believe I am due at least a partial reimbursement. I asked them for $300.00. The original quote was for 3 hours at $169/hr, plus the travel hour and incidentals of materials. The stuff to be moved was all packed, taped, in garage ready to be loaded. They didn't need to use boxes. The final bill was close to $1200.00.

    Original Review: Dec. 19, 2017

THESE GUYS GET NO STARS IN MY BOOK... BUT HAD TO GIVE ONE IN ORDER TO POST THIS REVIEW. Their estimator sure knows how to talk them up...They dropped a sub-woofer, Kamado ceramic grill, broke a chair, and an entry side table. All my clothes and Christmas decor was thrown in a heap. Totes were dropped and broke with contents spilling all over the floor. They dropped a box containing a plastic jar of cherries. The top popped off and soaked through the box and they just sat it on the floor and didn't tell anyone and it stains the carpet. They will pay nothing (.60 per lb.) to replace anything. Are you kidding me? They put my Sleep Number bed together incorrectly and I have to pay $180 for a tech to come out. The grill will cost $500 to replace. Not sure about the sub-woofer.

I keep getting the run around with the assistant operations manager. They want to send someone over to fix things? Really? The estimate was a little incorrect according to the crew that came and moved me. Instead of doing what needed to be done by possibly doing a second trip with one truck, doing the job right and reporting back; they proceeded to overload the trucks. Crushing my things. I was quoted at 6 guys and got 5. So what do 5 guys do? Try to do the same job in the same amount of hours as 6 guys. They said they were taking lunch and then called me and said they weren't. They were obviously fatigued and starving by the time to unload and someone thinks the a bag of Cheez-Its and a Monster drink (which was stolen from my counter top) is going to get them through.

The 9 hr mark is approaching, everyone is getting tired, one guy wasn't listening so he was given a time out by the super, and sat in the truck for at least an hour. They charged me for him anyway. I paid good money for my things. So far the only thing that has gotten busted that I packed is a light bulb and a couple glasses. I was told I was getting the cream of the crop by booking early. If this is the cream??? They came so highly recommended and I'm so disappointed that they won't do better to do the right thing. I trusted these guys! NEVER AGAIN! DO NOT EVER USE THESE GUYS! THEY DON'T KEEP THEIR WORD!

I would give them ZERO stars if that was an option. They were absolutely horrible. You can't get a quote online like most companies and once you speak with them, they call you 3-4x/day until you either book with them or decline. They were the only company we contacted that charged a deposit ($200). The quote was for four hours for two men @ $99/hour plus one-time fuel charge and a $99 travel charge. They didn't tell me they charged for tape, wrap, etc. until they arrived to load up. No moving company charges for that (at least none I've ever used).

The fuel charge wasn't a flat fee like most companies, though that was what was indicated when I got the quote. When they arrived to load up and gave me the contract to sign, I saw that it was 12% of the total. All that being said, this move shouldn't have taken more than 4.5 hours (that's including picking up a couple of things from a storage unit in Frisco... The move was from a ground floor 2-BR apt in McKinney to a one-story home, also in McKinney, six miles from the apt). Had it been 5 hours max, it should've cost $665 + tax. That's not at all how it shook out in the end.

To start with, when I booked the move, they said the logistics company they use would contact me 2-3 days prior to the move to confirm the time (they couldn't even give me an estimate of what time they would arrive until 2 days before the move date). I didn't hear from the logistics company until 24 hours before the move. They had about half of the info wrong and had a difficult time getting it right. I was told I would get a MINIMUM of 60 minutes notice from the logistics center to meet the movers at the storage unit. The movers called me when they were 10 minutes from the storage unit. That was helpful since I live 25 minutes away.

One of the guys was great... He worked his butt off. He was very personable and was very conscientious to take care to wrap everything carefully, not scratch up the walls, put the furniture in the appropriate rooms, etc. The other guy was worthless. When they started unloading, he put everything in the dining room (it was the first room when you walked in the door). Didn't matter if it was marked for another room or obviously didn't belong in the dining room, that's where he dropped it. I caught him sitting in the truck on the phone or eating more than once while the other guy was busting his butt working. They stopped to get gas and a snack at 7-11 between loading and unloading that added an additional 30 minutes. It took them well over an hour to load a dining room table, six chairs and a china cabinet at the storage unit. It should've taken half that time.

Another company moved my mom from Dallas to McKinney earlier this year and did it in 4.25 hours. Same furniture (less the dining room table), number of boxes, etc. These guys moved her within a few miles and it took them 7.5 hours. Yes, 7.5 hours. And it wasn't because they were careful. They tore up the walls in both places, almost everything except big, obvious stuff (sofa, bed, etc.) were in the wrong rooms and had to be moved by me the following day (including 76 boxes). Boxes marked "fragile" were on the bottom of stacks of boxes of books (stacked 6-7 boxes high). Boxes marked "Kitchen" were found in every room but the kitchen and all had to be moved. I had to remind them 4x to put the desk in the dining room, not the garage.

They beat the hell out of my mom's brand new washing machine, tore up the corners of several pieces of antique furniture, put the bed together wrong (it was like a seesaw so it was obviously wrong), broke her Christmas tree, and we're still unpacking and continue to find broken items. Luckily, we have 90 days to file a claim for all of that. The list is getting long. And they told us when they were loading that they're not allowed to move live plants (she had one plant). It wasn't in the contract where it listed what they weren't allowed to move (guns, money, jewelry, etc.) and nothing was mentioned when I booked. So we had to go back the next day to get the plant. Never had a mover say they couldn't move a plant. That was on top of having to move almost every single box...either to the correct room or move it to see what was under it and move furniture that was in the wrong place.

They wouldn't unload until we paid them and they estimated a 6-hour total at that time but then took an additional 90 minutes after that and charged us for the OT which was their fault. All that extra time adds up to more for the fuel charge as well. Bottom line, what should've taken 4.0-4.5 hours took 7.5 hours and cost about twice what they quoted. They charged the deposit to the wrong card, charged $56 for tape and wrap, left garbage throughout the house and garage, and overcharged for the fuel charge. Save yourself the aggravation and money and go with someone else. They were AWFUL.

I am a military veteran who has moved many times over the years both throughout Europe and around the US. My experience with All My Sons Moving and Storage of Newport News LLC was the absolute worst and most ridiculous move I have ever had. I had everything packed in boxes and ready to go. The move should have taken about four hours total, it took seven hours. Right off the bat one of the crew made it very clear that he did not want to be there and was not going to do any work. He complained all day that the company treated him like a slave and he wasn’t taking it anymore. An hour into the move I found this individual laying on my couch.

I paid over a thousand dollars for three professional movers to move and care for my belongings. This is not the service I received. Instead I got three inexperienced, rude, lazy, purposefully destructive, disrespectful, unprofessional children who nearly got into a fistfight with one another in the front yard of my new home screaming racial slurs and cussing at one another. After the altercation they were so upset they began literally kicking my belongings off the back of the truck onto the ground and tossing them into rooms leaving my belongings broken and my home in a complete shambles. Items wrapped for the move were not unwrapped and items taken apart for the move were not put back together.

Aside from what was broken in boxes many of my antique furnishings were scratched, dented and broken due to improper moving and packing in the truck. The men also came unprepared. I had to give them boxes to replace the ones they dropped and broke. I even had to let them use my tools and tape and I was still charged for materials. The complete lack of respect shown for me, my belongings and the company these men work for was insulting and embarrassing.

Were going to throw my leather couch over the 2 floor balcony. I thought they were kidding, until I looked down and saw the guy standing there waiting for the couch to be thrown!! Wth. Did I hire these goofs? Unfortunately, yes. The couch was not tossed due to my complaint. My desk drawer that holds my money till for NY business was full of change. Well forget about honest workers. They stole all my change. My black and white Marilyn Monroe painting is missing. They broke my late Nonis heirloom mirror. Custom made mirror from San Francisco. 35 years old. BROKEN!!

When I left them at the old apartment they were almost done, so I said I’d meet them at my new place. Well they arrived at my new place and my son and mom went back to drop off the keys - they left bins of my belongings!! Plus a tall lamp. Wth!! My son called and told me. Thankfully he brought back the rest of my stuff. The one mover had the nerve to tell me they accept tips. Unfortunately I tipped them before I found out all my damages!! Thankfully it wasn’t that big of a tip. Careless movers. Unprofessional. Shady. Thieves. PLEASE hire different movers!! Filed a claim, let's hope they stand up and do the right thing!! I usually don’t complain, however I am not wanting others to go through this!!

I could go on for days about how horrible this company is. Charge more than agreed upon, but know you have to pay whatever to get your items that they will hold hostage. Charge for "extras" that were suppose to be included such as packing blankets... Take their time moving and driving to get that upcharge, but do not treat your items with care or caution. Management admits to overcharging and then places blame on you for being "cheap". I had used this company years ago and had a great experience, but they have since been bought and have absolutely turned into a shady thieving company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

We hired them and the man from the consultation was nice but your typical salesman. They move our furniture and then comes our expensive 4,000$ Samsung fridge. They were forcing it through the doorway and not only scratched the heck out of it, but dented it so bad that we need a brand new fridge now. They scratched our newborn's dresser to heck as well and broke a chair leg. We took pictures and sent in a claim. They gave us the run around of course. We finally get back a letter saying they'll only offer us 243$.00. Doesn't even cover the cost of our sons 300$ dresser. Do not go with these people. There's a reason they always have openings and other moving companies are harder to schedule.

Wish there was a no stars option. They were three hours late on move day (I called the office several times and they just kept telling they’d call me back but never did, three times). 2.5 hours after I began calling the office, they finally figured out the truck broke down. I get that things happen, but none of that was communicated to me, and I could have moved many things on my own in that time.

The movers were very nice, but slow (I did most of the loading and unloading of boxes) and I was worried about my grandma’s furniture. There were two men, and for all the time they took packaging the furniture, only one them would move pieces that clearly needed two lifters. A 1br move took almost 3 hours longer than I anticipated.

Now the big problem. I hired movers primarily for my 60 inch TV and they TOTALED it. Giant crack across the bottom of the screen that spiders in places. Won’t turn on. It’s also irreplaceable, because they don’t make it anymore. The movers filed a claim for me and told me not to worry. It would be fully covered and replaced. I specifically asked about the $0.60/pound rule, and they specifically said that didn’t matter, the company would replace the entire cost. They also took apart my TV stand and lost pieces, so I can’t put it back together, had to claim that too.

It took three weeks just to get the claims paperwork that they mailed. USPS mailed. Not PDF. Mailed. Also, they mailed it to the wrong address the first time. When I finally got it, I did everything requested and sent it back via priority mail the following morning, and it was “undeliverable.” Reason unknown. They were able to deliver it the next day (Friday, about lunchtime), and when I called Monday, they said it wouldn’t have gotten to them yet. I sent digital copies as well Friday at 9am and still hadn’t heard anything back. They said they’d get back to me when they got to it.

Called back 24 hours later on Tuesday; they still hadn’t gotten to it. It took until a month after my claim to begin the process. It took 30 days after that before I could follow up again, and they said they mailed follow up paperwork two weeks before, yet I never got it. After eight weeks with no TV, they offered me 9% of what it would cost to replace the items, $157 and said that was four times more than they were contractually obligated to offer. I claimed over $1600, and if I want to replace my items, that is what it is going to cost me. I understand that I signed an agreement, but the drivers should not be allowed to make promises in regard to coverage if the company isn’t going to back what their employee are telling customers. It’s confusing (and frustrating, and really expensive, apparently) when you’re told two completely different things by people at the same company.

When I asked who I needed to speak to or what needed to be done so that misinformation was not given to customers, I was told management knows this and they tell the drivers not to do it, but they do it anyway and that the company is not responsible for what the drivers say. But, it’s your company and your employees telling these things to your customers. How is that not in any way your responsibility? If I told patrons at my job that they didn't have to pay their fines, and then they got upset and complained when they had to pay their fines, I would get in trouble and a policy would be enforced to ensure patrons didn't get misinformation. I have encouraged all friends and family to never use this company. What was supposed to be the least stressful part of my move turned into eight weeks of incredible amounts of stress, frustration, and anger. Oh, and I still don't have a TV.

This move was a disaster!!! The crew were very disorganized, couldn't work well together (had arguments in front of me and my family) and were not sufficiently experienced to be moving anyone's furniture. They damaged my walls, wood floor, dresser, leather sofa, scratched my television and its stand. I did not have much to move, and they managed to scratch or damage nearly everything touched. I requested a new crew after they put everything the truck, but management did not provide one and did not call me back to tell me why. I did not trust these people to move anything into my new house. When we got to my new house, they wanted me to pay before they would unload my belongings. What should have been no more than 3 to 4 hours, was claimed to be a 7 hour job.

I refused to pay as much of the time was spent waiting for management to call me back about a new crew and the guys arguing and blaming each other for the damages. They ended up making me waive all damage at the first address in order for them to reduce the fee. Just based on my experience alone, they should have offered a discount, but no I had to give up my claims in order to pay the amount that was more fair to me. These people were disrespectful and unprofessional, so much so that by the end of the move, I forbid one guy from even entering my home. Save your time, money and belongings and NEVER hire this moving company... even if it is the last one on earth. You and your friends would have a more successful move doing it yourselves. I'm not one to even write reviews, but I really don't want ANYONE else to go through what I went through.

My fiance Vel and I used this company for a local move. They had no experience, used the knobs to bring up the bureau to the 2nd floor, dropped furniture, & scraped my oak wood floors when they dragged my bureau across it. One of the guys was hung over, and the other had no experience at all. They inflated the bill - they made me pay $129.00 up front and then demanded double the estimated price upon arrival at my destination. I asked them why and they said they "round up". They said they knew how long it would take them to unload. They charged me for 1.5 hour and they took 15 minutes to unload. That cost me an additional $160.00 ($160 per hour).

Rude, nasty, unprofessional people, and the management is so sweet & professional when you call, but the reality is they are phony and pretend to get your business and once you hire them you are at their mercy. The people that work for them are not all employees. One of the workers told me he was paid under the table, no benefits, only $8.00 an hour, below the minimum wage - beware these people. They will not answer your email when you complain, they hang up on you. They do not give you a written receipt, it is on the computer but it will not print. All I have is the "advance receipt" for $129 - they make you pay in advance, and then again at the destination. Do not trust!!!

This was not my problem. Another 1.5 hours went by with no phone call. I called and was told the interstate was closed and they didn't know when their staff would be available. My uncle drove from Nashville to help and got there in 1.5 hours. I asked for an hourly update and never received one call. This was totally unacceptable!! The intake person had informed them it was a "personal move", when it clearly was not. They were shocked by the amount of furniture and boxes I had. Communication was obviously nonexistent. Toni, the manager, was rude and unaccommodating. He was very short with me and didn't seem to care at all. Stay away from this company.

I have to admit that I am disappointed in the service I received. First when I brought up the fact of the safe when your guys first showed up. I warned them to wait and they admitted they knew nothing of the job. When I mentioned having the right tools to move the safe in the truck. He said the company was cheap. Then when the safe did fall off the ramp your driver tried to blame me. I have had major back issues. There is no way I'm pushing a large safe up a ramp. I was trying to help make sure they were going straight up the ramp. I do not appreciate Maleke trying to blame me. I am glad he was not hurt seriously. I had to tell them how to get it on the truck, after they failed on their attempt. There are scratches on some furniture as well that I'm just getting to see. Now that I'm putting the furniture in its final positions. They beat up the walls some. I have moved just about every three years and this rates as the worst so far.

When I called to speak with management, he said that some paint should cover it. I did not feel my concern was validated. I had to grease the bars to get the door to open and shut like it did when it was bought not long ago. It was waterproof but I'm not so sure now. The reason we chose your company was the fact that you said it was no problem to move the safe. They fought with the key issue for twenty minutes or better after locked themselves out of their own truck! I helped them try to open it and offered my phone so they could call for assistance. Meanwhile time is money and nothing was being moved once again, as all four were worrying with lock and with Maleke hurting himself that was another fifteen minutes.

I have several friends that are moving soon and I can't recommend your company with what I have gone through so far. When I asked the guys to load the big stuff when the truck was 2/3 full. They assured me it would all fit in the truck. What happened was they had to make another trip. There were only 31 boxes that went on the truck. The rest was furniture - about 40 pieces. All but three pieces of furniture were shrink wrapped before they got there. I think you should invest in better equipment to move large items and training to move large items so your employees are not injured.

NOTHING THIS COMPANY TOLD US WAS CORRECT. Our estimate was 1000 lbs off- This was for 3 beds, 2 night stands, 2 indoor chairs, 3 bar stools, 2 Outdoor chairs and 10 boxes. So basically, 1/3 of the weight quoted over our price which our estimator told us was a high estimate! Our movers left over 27 hours ago for a drive that took me 7.5 hours to complete and we still haven't seen them!

The movers told us that the company wouldn't pay for their gas, which they said frequently happens and that was why they were late. Of course, the logistics people have no idea where or when these people started and their arrival time can't be confirmed by anyone in this company. Funny thing is, everyone in the apartment that we moved from and into met their schedules so other companies certainly are capable of hitting their times. We should have read the online reviews or we wouldn't have used them. I hope this saves someone else the headaches we have incurred.

We hired this company because their ad copy said they were a local company and they promised a fair rate in their estimate: "Worst case, $1300." As it turns out, they are based in Texas, not Arizona, and the actual cost of our move ended up being over $3000 for a cross-town move. Additionally, they did not send an adequate size truck for a three bedroom house with garage. They barely got two bedrooms' worth of our items in the truck they sent, not including the bathrooms and garage. They sent a crew of two experienced movers and two trainees instead of the agreed-upon three person team. They claimed it was a bonus that we were getting an extra person for free, as they were only charging us half price for each of the two trainees. The trainees were so bad that the move would have gone faster without them.

Late in the day, in the middle of it all, the team lead had to be switched out for another team lead due to a personal commitment on the first team lead's part. By this time, the truck was getting pretty full, and there was a whole lot left to move. At the point where they ran out of room in the truck, they switched to getting ready to go to the new house. I came back the next afternoon after work to find that any items that they had staged for possible placement in their truck which were not subsequently put in the truck were left in the front yard, instead of being moved back inside or even into the garage. Who knows how much stuff went missing, but there is a lot of stuff that I still cannot find, two months later, including a patchwork quilt that my now-deceased grandmother made for me 40 years ago. I had to go to the house with a 15 foot U-Haul truck twice to finish up myself what they didn't complete, as well as multiple trips by car to pick up fragile items.

They left the house in such a mess, our realtor had difficulty showing our house, which nearly cost us the sale of the house, due to the mess of unused and partially-used packing materials they left throughout the house. Needless to say, once she was informed of what happened, she will not be recommending this company for any of her clients.

At the new house, their crew set the bed frame in our master bedroom and laid the flat, airless Sleep Number mattress on it, and proclaimed the bed 'set up'. The very next day, we called them about the beds. Another crew came, THREE DAYS AFTER THE MOVE, found the pump pieces (which were in some other box, not marked as parts for the bed), and assembled it for us. In the interim, my disabled fiancée and I, and her 75 year old mother who was our guest at the time of the move, all ended up having to sleep on the hard floor.

As we unpacked in the following days, we found food items stuffed into boxes marked fragile, which went moldy and caused us to throw out many of those items. We found boxes marked 'KITCHEN FOOD' in the garage, because, of course, that's where food belongs. We found our butter dish, with butter still in it, inside another box, where it had melted all over the items in that box and ruined a number of them.

We called the company about this, and after several attempts to get through to them, we finally spoke to someone. They're based in Texas, two time zones ahead of us, and apparently don't staff their office past 5pm Texas time, so I had to take time off work to try to get this dealt with. The person we needed to speak to was not available. They promised us the person would call us back the very next day, "to make things right." That was at least 5 weeks ago now. There are not enough expletives in the languages of all of the world that could be added in front of the word 'displeased' to multiply the meaning of 'displeased' to within ten orders of magnitude of how I actually feel about the job they did. Avoid this company at all costs.

If I had made this review earlier I would have given the workers a better grade because they were courteous and helpful, however, our items were moved to storage and we have just gotten them out after being there for three months. I had to take off work this day in order to be there for the mover and because they had such a large time frame. They called me 10 min before 3pm and told me my move was being cancelled because someone got hurt and they didn't have enough movers. Instead of someone from the office calling me, one of the movers called to tell me, so I had to call the office to figure out what was going on. They told me they would call me back once they had figured out if they could find another mover... Waiting until 5pm with no call so I had to call THEM again to make sure they were going to reschedule my move.

I then had to take a second day off work to get moved on Wednesday. After the move, one of my boxes with dishes went missing so I called them to see if they had found it left on the truck or in their warehouse and they responded that they would check and call me back... They of course never called me back. So, yet again, I had to call THEM again and OF COURSE they said they couldn't find it but they would "keep looking" which is already suspicious because if you already checked the truck and your warehouse why would you need to keep looking? I talked with office same day they told me they were insured & I would be contacted on July 3rd. That never happened. They loaded about half of our stuff was leaving when my employee stopped them. They had to rearrange truck to be able to get all large items ending up costing me 700.00 plus 155.00 for plumber. I do not recommend this company.

Hired All My Sons to move from Arlington, TX to Mission, TX. Was assured that furniture and lamps would be wrapped by movers to prevent damage. Was given an estimate on the move. When merchandise arrived in Mission, TX there was damage to my table, broken lamp and several broken picture frames, including a broken mirror art work. The boxes with picture frames were marked as fragile. They even crushed my stainless steel trash can. The table had deep crushed grazes all the way to bare wood. Boxes were so crushed that my items were spilling out on the ground.

Movers never said anything about the broken pictures and mirror, yet you could clearly hear the loose broken glass. When asked about the damage, the movers said they had to cram the truck to make everything fit. Never have I had so much damage from a move. Boxes and furniture were crammed upside down or sideways and anything inside the drawers was in shambles. My antique desk was falling apart. They also charged me more for the move than estimated.

I wish I had read more reviews when selecting this company to move us. They sounded wonderful over the phone. The movers were polite young men. However, I received several different quotes when talking about the price of the move. Then, they charged me way more than I was ever quoted. They charged for items they didn't use, such as mattress covers. They were to reimburse me more than $650, which I am still waiting for. They damaged my new refrigerator, broke a cabinet, backed into a fence at the old property, and drove all over the yard at the new property. They didn't come with enough covers to thoroughly protect everything. This was my husband and my first move in 30 years, and we knew we couldn't do it by ourselves. As I stated previously, I wish I would have read more reviews, and found this site. I would never have gone with AMSM. Run from them, or do it yourself!

I provided All My Sons Moving with my relocation details (date of move, distance, floor # moving to and from, amount of furniture, etc.) and they quoted me a low and high dollar amount ($500 range). In Virginia, they stated that cost was calculated on two items only - weight (3000 lb. minimum) and distance. The salesperson noted that the actual price would be adjusted to reflect the actual weight. After my move, their weight slips showed that my items weighed half of their minimum weight limit and the distance was the same as what was on their quote. It made sense to me that I should have been charged at the "low" end of their quote. However, upon delivery of my items, they charged me more than the highest amount quoted, plus additional charges that were never discussed.

The carbon copy "Bill of Lading and Freight" that they left was illegible and the bill that they showed me contained miscellaneous charges that the movers could not explain. Therefore, I called the local office to discuss the discrepancy, but the person I spoke with was rude and unhelpful. He said he was giving me a "discount" to keep me near the maximum range of the quote. I had no choice but to pay what they asked upon delivery as they would not release/unload my household items otherwise. After I paid and my items were unloaded, I reached out to their local office for an explanation of the higher charges and they ignored me. I tried their national office (Texas) and Customer Care service and was told that I needed to work it out at the local level. I tried again at the local level and was told that my move should have actually been $1,000 more than quoted but they gave me those "discounts."

I stated multiple times that the weight slips showed me weight was LESS than the minimum and the distance did not change, so how could I be charged more than $1000 over what was quoted? I continued to ask them to provide me with documentation to justify their charges and they continued to ignore me. In retrospect, I should have gone with another company. I thought All My Sons would be fair in honoring their quoted price, which cost me a great deal extra, not only in money, but in time and frustration.

If this happens to you, save the frustration and hassle of trying to solve it with the company. They will only defer and ignore you until you go away. The "Satisfaction Guaranteed" that they market on their site is not correct in my experience. I eventually grew tired of trying to get an answer from AMS and went to my credit card company. I provided the quote and other documentation that I had, and the money was refunded to me within 48 hours.

She told me 2 hours and that it would be 300$. She took my 100$ deposit. Ohio manager called me on Saturday morning, changed my move date from Monday to Sunday to take off the gas I didn't know about. Called Sunday (after I switched my weekend around) to say they couldn't make it, they would come the original day, Monday at 4 PM.

Called Monday at 9 AM and said all was good. Called at 330 and said they were running behind (that's okay) and by 3:57 the driver called me and said he was at least a half hour away. They scratched the bottom of my piano, they ended up in the WRONG CITY to drop it off, THEN tried to charge me gas, and extra half hour or so, and for "packing materials" which we only had a blanket. They took the extra charges off after I called and said I wouldn't pay it, but they wanted money BEFORE they unloaded my things and I refused. After they moved it all, it took them about 15 minutes to even reach the office to take the credit card. Not fun at all. They also got attitudes with me over the phone as well. Less than 48 hours before the move they called to let me know that they had priced my move too low and I either would have to pay over 30% more or my move had to be canceled! I told them I could not pay more than we had previously agreed to. They cancelled my move and I asked for my deposit back. They said no problem.

It has now been six months since they cancelled my move and after many calls and letters they have still not returned my deposit. At one point they had the nerve to say that they had already processed it, that it would show up on my credit card. Which would be impossible since I never gave them my credit card number. On May 23rd, I called All My Sons moving services in order to facilitate my grandparents' move from Corpus Christi to San Antonio, Texas. I was greeted by Eric who I told we needed a full moving quote including packing all of their items, that I needed them to come Friday 6/23/2017 to pack and move the items on 6/24/17. We were trying to keep our grandparents away from the moving part so their stress level would be minimal. He told me we could get Michael there to do a quote for us. We set it up for that Friday, May 26th, 2017 at 10am. Michael came and review the apartment, which is a three bedroom but that we had family that were coming down the day before to move the beds and TVs from the apartment.

Thus leaving them to move the following items of furniture; corner crystal case, oval dining room table, 4 chairs, 2 recliners, regular size couch, rocking chair, TV stand, dresser with mirror, bedside night stand, 3 small side tables, 2 small desks, 5 bookshelves, a folding table with 4 folding chairs. There were NO appliances, no beds to move. I was emailed a quote of $2340 + the cost of packing material and include truck and 3 movers, which I confirmed with location owner Stephen.

We went ahead and scheduled the move at this point and paid the $300 deposit. So 6/23/2017 arrives, only 2 movers show up and didn't get there until 1:30pm, they were scheduled for 12:00pm. As for the packing part, we counted the number of boxes used which were 31 in total from All My Sons, there were other boxes used that we had done ourselves prior to the move. They DID not bring wardrobe boxes for the hanging clothes and placed all of their hanging clothes in regular medium sized boxes. Pictures available upon request. In fact they ran out of boxes and even moved 2 bookshelves and 2 desks with all of the items still in them. This stressed out the wood and now is wobbly as a result.

The packing was very poorly completed all around, and by this I mean that they had kitchen items with bathroom with desk room. They did not put buffer paper in with dishes and glassware, etc and did not fill the boxes. They did not finish the packing part until 8:30pm on Friday, however they did pack the truck up that same day, as well. They get to the house in San Antonio about 10:30am, and would not unload until the full amount was paid. Which I was not to the house yet so my 85 year old grandfather pay the amount.

When I arrived, they were unloading and I find out that the price they paid is $3184.00 total. $660 OVER the quoted price. I immediately contacted Eric at the office of the CC location. He said that we were quoted $3000 for the move, I said "no we were not" and I sent him a copy of the email of the quote I had received for $2340. This same quote that I actually never signed because I set up the move over the phone and reiterated all that the quote had said and what I was told by the owner Stephen again. Eric then tried to argue with me about it, and I told him if he could provide me with a quote that said $3000 that was sent to me that I would leave it all alone.

So I received a payment receipt that showed $184 as the packing materials used. Thus making what our payment should have been $2524 total. This is a classic bait and switch tactic that should have never happened. Even after I sent the quote back I was told there is small print that said we were to do the packing? Imagine my surprise when all along, I said we needed packing services, and furthermore, if that was the case, why did they show up Friday to pack the boxes, actually bring boxes with them if they are not supposed to be doing the packing?

Also the actual final cost that they paid was $2970.52 which doesn't even reduce the total they said of $3184 by the $300 deposit which would have been $2884.00. The owner will not take my calls and Eric is useless now. My grandparents were swindled out of $660 dollars and it's not okay. Imagine if this were your grandparents that live on a fixed income and someone did this to them?

They were to arrive at 9:30 a.m. on a Saturday. To make this long story shorter, they kept us on the hook all day saying they were running late and would still be there for the move. Then around 3:30 p.m. they called and cancelled our move.

How can a moving company do that? We ended up not being able to find another moving company with such short notice. We also ended up having to stay in a hotel that night because our whole house was torn apart awaiting the move. Worst move ever! We did get our deposit credited back to us in just one day. I am really at a loss here. We have moved 9 times and broke 1 thing. Kenneth from All About Moving took pictures of many broken and scratched things as they came off the truck. I want to give you the whole picture: Jeff’s estimate was off when he gave it. When we found the correct house to live in in Blue Bell PA we realized we would need more things. Jeff had already inventoried the items in our RV garage so he felt he could do it over the phone. For items that might have cost about $600 he was quoting us $1000 to move which made no sense.

He finally realized he was putting in the wrong zip code the second time and ASSURED me I could bring everything I wanted. He also told me that you did exceptional work with beds. Not only was the memory foam ripped, but the mattress was damaged as well. I was also called various times by different members of your team. I repeatedly told people to make sure they brought blankets and boxes for some of the items.

The day arrives to move. It is a Thursday. I have carefully planned all of this out. The guys come 45 minutes early. I am out walking the dog. I hurry home. There are only 3 guys. Even I know that is not going to work because many things need two guys. The guy in charge knew RIGHT AWAY that not everything would fit in the truck he brought. He said he would fit what he could. I thought that was the truck driving across the country so I was very upset and my stomach hurt all day. Why didn’t he tell me we could get another truck to come and get the rest of the stuff? Why was I under the impression this was the truck driving across the country?

After 7 hours of watching them wrap things that should be in blankets like the company we used before, no knowledge of how to take apart desks and tables. They break my beautiful round table on site as they took a piece off that was NEVER supposed to come off (I did not know this til it arrived to the new place. I just knew it took him a long time to get that table packed.). They wrapped a $4000 desk in PAPER. I am not an experienced mover in the sense that I assumed they knew what they were doing. They clearly did not. At the end I am looking at the two Tupperware containers of my Christmas ornaments, and I am ready to cry. The guy in charge says we can call in and see what we can do.

Turns out another truck can come up and get all the remaining items (and I did not get them all it turns out - I left 4 boxes behind in the RV garage). I leave at 7 am the next day. So now a friend has to come over the next morning and wait for the new truck to show up. Very unfair. What if no one could do it? I was picking up someone at 9 am in Phoenix to drive across country with me with the pets.

Monday I call to ask what is going on. No one has let me know. Turns out my stuff did not leave until Monday. It has been transferred to another truck to head across country. It will not arrive until the following Tuesday. Over a week. The other company did it in 4 days. The truck arrives on Tuesday at 1:45 pm. The guys who will unpack it do not arrive until 4 pm. They arrived TIRED after packing trucks all day. They never finish setting everything up. They were here for 4 hours. Kenneth took pictures of a lot of the damage. (I have emailed him and asked him for the photos. He had told me that he would send them all to me the next day. He has not.) They did not see it all of course because they never finished unpacking and putting stuff together. It was 8pm. It was dark. We were trying to find lamps to work by.

I am so very upset. I have never had so many things broken, scratched and ruined at one time. The carelessness that went into this project is on every single level. You came highly recommended. You were no more and no less than the BIG COMPANY that brought us from PA to AZ. Their work was impeccable. They sent 5 guys to pack the house. It took them 8 hours to pack a full third more stuff than these guys packed. They worked together. They had tons of blankets and boxes to make sure everything was perfect, and it truly was perfect. We tipped your first team $100.00 and the 2nd $80.00 because that is the right thing to do. Very much lost money. I want everything that is damaged replaced. I am beyond angry. My husband and I give 100% to everything we do. We expect the same from others especially when we are spending over $8,000 for a job that should have been perfect.

I called and scheduled a move with an office in the Hampton Roads area. BIG MISTAKE.

The movers showed up an hour late; no big deal. However, they were less than professional and some of them were sketchy. They load up the truck and off to Northern Virginia we go. They unload everything and damage not only my couch but a few other items. No big deal, I thought. Come to find out they made a pit stop at their "shop" and offloaded some of my items. Things I can't replace at all. Along with some paintings and other items that I will have a hard time replacing since they were from remote parts of Africa.

All in all, this was a bad experience and I want everyone to beware. Do yourself a favor: move your own things. Go rent a U-Haul or other truck and move everything yourself. Solicit help from friends and relatives and maybe even pay them to help you but you'll come out better doing it yourself. Moving is already stressful enough and All My Sons just makes the experience even worse. Oh yeah, don't worry about filing a claim. It's trash. Items that were invaluable are worth $100 to All My Sons. I didn't even bother getting it notarized and sent back in. Do not use them. Again, do not use them. While there were four people on the team, at no point did you see four people working. They had one roll of material to protect the carpet and laid it in the tiled kitchen. While that wasn't a big deal, the whole thing was comical.

They got lost and disappeared for several hours between leaving the old house and driving to the new apartment 40 miles away. They had never done an elevator move before. The whole thing took 11 hours for a fairly simple move. They took apart a dresser and mirror and never provided the screws needed to put it back together. One cabinet fell apart as soon as we touched it in the new apartment. Glass was broken. There seemed to be a complete disconnect between the dispatcher and the team. They were not prepared for the move and knew nothing about the area or the job (i.e., traffic, high rise building issues, urban parking issues, where to find the weigh station, how to efficiently deal with the paperwork and payment). I got to my location and had no linens (towels, washrags, etc.). No box was clearly marked for the designated room. Furniture was just left in the middle of the rooms. I don't know how to stop complaining, the list is so long. I couldn't be more disappointed with this moving company, and myself for using them. THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN... THEY'RE A COMPLETE RIP-OFF!!!

They came a week before to pack up my kitchen items which I assumed would be professional and they used paper and put dishes together instead of separating them. All broke. I'm so glad I packed my own crystal and china. That's the only thing that was safe. They came the day of move to finish packing us up and my husband went out to go get these guys lunch while they were packing up his closet and forgotten that he kept cash in a wallet behind his socks. 600.00 stolen. When we moved to the new house and noticed the money was gone and they were still there we confronted them and said, "You guys figure it out amongst yourselves." No one came forward. Guilty for certain. It's a shame one guy ruined it for all that are honest. They were shady.

They moved my piano ok thank goodness to a separate location and then when they finally got to our home they literally just shoved all boxes in the kitchen amongst the appliances so that we couldn't even get in the kitchen. The garage was a nightmare. They left so many other items and boxes at the old house we had to go back 2-3 times to load up our own truck. The truck was too small for a 5,000 sq foot home. Called the owners did not want to take any responsibility of the poor services and thieves he hires. Someone should take ownership of hiring guys that are not criminals. We wasted our money, time, lost many items that broke - some decorative pieces I have had many years.

They pretty much bailed on me in the 9th hour on May 6th, 2017. I made reservations weeks prior to my move, I paid a $120 deposit, was told because I have an apartment move that it will be in the afternoon sometime probably between 2 and 4pm. I waited, and waited. @5pm I called and their exact words were "I'm trying to find a crew to come out and move you, I have a bunch of calls in" so apparently they did not have me actually scheduled. I gave it 'til 5:30, I called again, and still same "waiting to hear back from some crews, but not sure what time they will get to you, but I'm working on it for you." Well I think 2 hours after you're supposed to be there is a bad time to start working on it, how about 1-2 weeks prior that it's scheduled, not the same day.

So I'm thinking okay it's 5:30pm on a Saturday, and they "are trying" to find someone, they don't "have someone" so my move basically is a crap shoot at this point. I call another company at 6pm, they said they'll do it, I call back and ask All My Sons, "Can you confirm you have someone and a time." He said, "No I'm sorry." So of course I went with the other company. They are apparently not very good at scheduling, it's not a haircut, it's moving! Moving is so stressful as it is and then you do everything to get ready and find out you have no movers.

The other team from Total Moving Services got to me at 8pm, they moved me 'til about midnight in the rain, these poor guys were so tired, they were headed home for the night after a long day of work and their manager asked them if they could do one more, and they were nice enough to do it. All My Sons put me in a very bad spot. Ironically I went with them, even though they were much more expensive because they said "we are accredited with the state of GA"

And I was worried about movers not showing up on time, never did I think I would have to find new movers hours after they were already scheduled to be there. They wanted me to pay upfront, to confirm my commitment yet they couldn't hold up their end. I was so exhausted on Sunday that I still have to go back now and do my cleanup at the other place, and I have to pay an extra day of rent because All My Sons could not deliver on the commitment.

And of course sharing my nightmare experience at work the next day, one of our VPs and another employee shared with me that they too had nightmare experiences, the already stressful experience of moving 10x worse. I think the state of GA needs to rethink who they accredit themselves with. Thankfully they didn't fight me about my deposit. They really need to get their act together on their scheduling.

I do not recommend, there are other great movers out there, Bulldog, Silverline Mover and Big T I heard from reliable sources that are good. Total Moving did a good job and saved me when I was in a bind. When you are ready to move, there is so much planning that goes into it, whether it be an apartment or a house, you need people you can rely on, and All My Sons failed on that account.

There was no damage. When it arrived my new home. It was badly damaged. They didn't assemble one bedroom set. Left my coffee table outside. Had to ask neighbor to bring in for me. Knowing I could not assemble the bed or pick up the coffee table due to my disabilities. I brought the damages of bookshelf to their attention. They said they took photos. I saw one of the workers enter my car through the bedroom window. I had a $400 pair of Ray Ban prescription sunglasses taken. When the company answered my complaint the workers had lied. Said I told them to leave. Not assemble the queen bed. Now if I have such a disability why would I ask them to leave if I cannot bend over to assemble?

They were disgruntled they did not receive the tip they thought they deserve. They said it was an insult. This is one very unscrupulous company that hires shady workers that lie and steal. Beware and do not employ this company for your move. They assume no responsibility for damages they cause. They take advantage of the disabled. Lock your vehicle.

I used All My Sons Moving Company out of Southwest Florida and I was completely unsatisfied! They had about 6 to 8 guys load all of our stuff and when they arrived at our home in Pace Florida there were only two guys to unload it! This took forever and they wanted to leave and come back and finish! Needless to say we did not get the boxes in their assigned rooms because there were only two guys to unload a packed 18 wheeler. Somehow our boxes were repacked (we packed our own boxes). So they went through every box!

There were numerous broken bent items on this move! My 55 inch big screen tv was packed in a tv box and they still smashed the left corner of the tv. The insurance they give you is a joke! We even packed pictures in a picture box and they were all scraped up! I would not recommend these guys unless you want your items bent, broken or damaged! They even scraped our doorways! Please find someone else to move your items because these guys are overworked and I believe that is one way some of the carelessness came about.

My daughter and I called several companies to arrange a move on March 25th. The scheduled move date was for the 26th. Brock quoted us 129 per hour and 129 to and from the shop drive time. Although he was Not the cheapest quote, he was a great salesman and sold us on the companies great reputation and background checks on employees. We agreed on the above price. Now mind you we were fully prepared for the move, 8 flat boxes we taped ourselves. 16 Plastic totes, lids fit tight. This was a 700 sq ft Apartment, and we were not moving the living room furniture. So they sent two movers. They moved 24 boxes. A small kit. Table and four chairs. One sleigh bed. (This took minimal disassembly.) One tv. One tv stand. One small dresser. Approx 12 pictures, prewrapped in plastic and a washer/dryer. Less the few pieces of furniture, the unload was just to the garage. Drive time from apartment to house 15 minutes.

My BILL WAS $840.00 dollars. To include insurance, surcharges and materials that weren't needed nor quoted. In other words they moved one bedroom, two pieces of furniture, no living room other than tv and stand. One dining which was a small table and four chairs. And a washer/dryer for 840.00. When we called Sunday to complain we were told we knew we were going to be charged 840 and were told all charges up front and that someone would call us yesterday 03/27/2017. No call. Can someone please call and adjust our bill. I have pictures of every item included in the 840 that I have sent twice to the local office and still no call.

I also want to say that when the two men arrived they immediately shove a iPad in your face and have quickly begin initialing and signing. I am absolutely sure that they will hide behind these documents claiming I read them and agreed to be overcharged. It doesn't change the fact that right is right and being unfair and overcharging is not okay. Also they have verbally admitted both movers and the man on the phone the day of the move that they were suppose to send three movers and they only sent two.

My stepdad hired this company to move him and my mom from a condo to a house that was 5 miles away. 3 bedrooms. They were supposed to send 4 people to the condo and then go to a storage unit with my stepdad. Scheduled to be there from 9-10; showed up at 11:30 with only 2 movers and a truck that was too small for all of their belongings (although they were told the size of the condo/storage unit, etc.). They claimed they didn't know about the storage unit. My mom and I went to new house, but I had to go home at 1:00.

I called my mom that evening; workers were still there and she was frazzled. I texted at about 10:00 that night, but didn't hear from her. I called her the next day (today) and she told me she was "in hell." The movers didn't leave until 11:30 pm!!! That's 12 hours!!! They chipped her brand new hardwood floors and then told her they were just going to leave the big boxes in the garage. What?!? My mom is 65 years old! If she could have lifted the boxes by herself, she wouldn't have hired movers. She told them to bring the boxes in the house. They begrudgingly did.

When I talked to her earlier, I heard my stepdad in the background. He wasn't yelling, but he wasn't far from it either. My mom told me he was on the phone with the moving company. They were being uncooperative. I don't know if they will discount their "by the hour" price, but I don't even care at this point. A company who takes advantage or my 65 year old mom and her husband deserves less than one star. DO NOT HIRE!

This is the worst moving company I have ever dealt with and I have moved 3 times in 5 years. The men are so busy talking they do not come in and start working. If you respond to them, they will stop doing whatever they were doing and stand and talk for so long, you literally want to blow your brains out. Two of the men wrap and move things out and the other 2 stand out by the truck loading. They could have moved me in much less time if all four had been concentrating on getting the items out of the house and out to the truck.

When they arrived at our destination 1.2 miles away, I might add, they immediately said they could not unload the truck until they were paid. Well, that made no sense to me, because we didn't know how many more hours it would take to unload. They called the "boss", and he estimated how long it would take them to unload and wrote the bill for his estimate, which I knew was a ridiculous number of hours to unload the truck. We were given the explanation, we would be refunded the overage by Monday, our move was on a Saturday. I checked my account Monday, Tuesday, Wed, and on and on. I called 13 days later to ask about the refund, and the man I talked to acted like he didn't know they owed me a refund and had never seen the paperwork. After he looked at the paperwork, he told me one amount, and that the refund would be processed that day before the end of business.

Once again I checked my bank account day after day and no refund showed up. I then sent an email to all the names on the original contract and received a reply that it had indeed been sent on that same day I was told, with a screen shot of his ordered refund. That is not an actual receipt for a credit sent to my account. Anyone dealing with accounts can type in anything and then send a screen shot. Also at the last of the bill they tacked on a fuel charge, which no other mover I have ever used did that for an in-town move.

Also the men repeatedly told us how they don't make overtime and they have to work sometimes to midnight, and how they don't get paid well, hinting for big tips without actually saying the words. They are going to try to get you to go online before they leave and give them a commendation while they are standing there, don't do it!!! It's blackmail just like them holding your things on the truck until you overpay them before they will unload. My advice is if you live in Knoxville stay with the tried and true companies.

Worst moving company EVER!!! Appointment at 9 am. Called at 7 am and wanted to come then. I explained we weren't quite ready sooo they show up late! I assumed that since I was never emailed my contract they would bring my copy with them - NOT. The man stood there acting angry that we just didn't sign it without reading it and answered every question we had (about the additional costs no one had told us about) with this gem: "We are just here to move your stuff we don't know nothing about any of that." So I called customer service and was told they were typical charges and they would email my contract right away and he would personally speak with the lead mover concerning his attitude with us. The packing and loading didn't go that badly even though we had to tell them repeatedly that "yes that was going also" on several items.

He came to me about a loose chair leg and loose lamp base. I acknowledged that those items were that way. When we arrived at the new home I spent 20 minutes walking with him through the home at his request to show where this should go. That was stunningly useless! I left them alone for 15 minutes and found that furniture and boxes had been put in the completely wrong rooms. They kept bringing in furniture that was going to be in the way of bigger pieces when they brought them in but when I said anything they would just ignore me and speak to each other in another language. One man asked me where this big box went so I said right on that shelf in front of you so he set it on the ground RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE SHELF.

So now the fun stuff - the DAMAGE. They tried to get my California king bed frame up 2 sets of stairs and around a corner WITHOUT taking it apart. They busted a hole in the wall and my Oak frame is completely scratched up and damaged. Once they did take my bed frame apart we found out after they left that they left 3 pieces of wood outside in the yard with huge nails sticking up. I told them they could remove them and not put them back on but to leave them where anyone could walk on them - really people?! They dropped the top part of my Armoire on top of the bottom busting a corner off of the top piece. I have a $6,000.00 bedroom set that they just decided it was OK to TRASH. They bent a handle on my dresser horribly.

Instead of taking the doors off of my Double door refrigerator (which I asked them to do twice) they just shoved it through the back door and gouged the handles (white) with black from the door frame and the doors are now sitting uneven and not sealing properly. My grandsons captains bed is literally falling apart now after they "put" it back together - parts of frame separated, drawers won't go in and middle door hangs open and will not shut. One man dragged my Extra Large La-Z-Boy recliner across the tile floor slamming it up and down to move it. After they left we realized that he tore off one of the nails on the bottom frame. How did we realize this? My grandson stepped on it and it went ALL THE WAY INTO THE BOTTOM OF HIS FOOT! They broke glasses, pictures and other things that we were trying to pack as they were moving items, kicked an ashtray on the floor over and left it and the mess.

They pulled apart pieces of furniture that I specifically told him were not to be taken apart. I was quoted at $758.00 dollars for the move which turned into almost $1,300.00. They left garbage and pieces of packing tape every in both homes that we had to clean up. Also the packing tape I had to pay for of which I am now the proud owner of 7 rolls that they left at the first house. Lazy, rude, unskilled, are just a few of the words I have for the moving crew. I have also spoken to customer service who has made it quite clear they could care less about us. I still have never received my "contract" or moving inventory list. I have lived in Cape Coral for 20 years and work at a job where I know and talk to many people and I will tell every single person I ever meet to NEVER use this company.

One of the movers had headphones on the whole time, listening to music and didn't respond or care when I would say something to him. Never removed his headphones. Before they would unload I had to pay. When I said, "That wasn't how things worked," one of them called the "boss" and then instructed me they would not unload until I paid. I had no choice, they were holding all of my things hostage. I was told before I even hired them that they would assemble everything that needed to be assembled and all they did was put my bed and my patio table together. When they assembled my bed they leaned the headboard against the wall and put the mattress and box springs on the frame. I had to finish the assembly.

They didn't listen to most of my instructions on where to put things and most of the things ended up in my shed. I still haven't found a lot of my kitchen supplies. They put a box full of tools right inside the shed and in front of everything after I asked them to put all the boxes on one side of the shed and the loose things on the other side so I could get to everything. As I said they didn't do as I asked. If they had done as I was told they would do I would have everything I need in the house and not in the shed.

As they were leaving, I asked them to take the mattress boxes and they said they wouldn't take my trash, I was responsible for removing it but if I wanted to make it "worth their while" meaning more money then they would take the boxes. I said, "No" and then the guy with the headphones proceeded to throw their trash out of the truck and put it with the mattress boxes I had to take care of. I told them to load that trash back on their truck and got a smart remark back. There is so much wrong with this company and the people they hire, I can't even begin to add everything up. They were in no hurry to get the job done, and one of the movers stood around most of the time, and never came into the apartment to get anything moved unless the other one came with him.

The owner told me it would be between $350-$450 on the high side to get the job done! This job turned out to be a 4.5 hour job, and the charge was $567.00. I refused to pay the amount, and told him the job could have been done in 3 hours max, but the movers dragged it out, taking as much time as possible. Felt like a bait-and-switch routine. The estimator assured us that the crew would arrive early and stay until the move was complete. They arrived late and left early. We were assured that they would wrap and package delicate furniture. That was not the case. Several items were damaged. The door was ripped off of one piece of furniture and they neglected to inform us about it. After 3 trucks and 2 days, I still had to complete the move myself. It took 3 truck loads and a late night to finish the move.

Upon arrival at the new house, they scraped up my wooden floors, gashed and scraped freshly painted stairway walls and ceilings. They did not put my dining room table back together and left items in downstairs that needed to be upstairs. Once again the move was not complete. We had to hire additional people to come and help us complete the move. The upper management was not much help and never inspected the damage done to our home and furniture and were indifferent to the fact that our furniture was not put back together. We filed a claim and the claim process was painful. They never return phone calls and we still have not come to what I consider a fair agreement. THIEVES!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! This was my first and last time using a moving company! The "owner" (Zack) assured me that the employees that worked there had background checks, drug tested, no criminal histories, and were not day laborers. **!!! They showed up smelling like **, took "smoke breaks" every 20 minutes, damaged our furniture, damaged our brand new house, and stole so much of our stuff, including guns, prescription pills, laptops, checkbooks, social security cards, credit cards, and more. We have had to file a police report, cancel all of our accounts, and take so much time to combat these criminals! My husband just found out they added 8 additional lines to his Sprint account and his phone bill was outrageous because they have been using our service!!! These people are professional criminals. I beg you to not use them!!!

I called Zack and he said there was nothing he could do except send a claim packet out to us and we can file a claim for our damage and stolen goods. We received the claim packet and it's requiring receipts of everything stolen and damaged. They know people do not keep receipts of items they have had for years. This is how they get out of paying the claim!!! I will continue to use social media to let everyone know to not use this company. They are criminal, they are liars, and they are thieves!!! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!

Absolutely horrible experience! Most unprofessional behavior by any service company I've ever encountered. COMPANY was unable to tell me why the moves were late or when they would arrive. When they arrived Juan was rude from the start. First thing they did was to demand we sign a form stating the furniture was delivered and undamaged. This was before they even started. Juan said they would leave if we didn't sign it. After wasting quite a bit of time which I ended up paying for the company told Juan we didn't need to sign until after furniture was moved.

Upon arrival at destination before they would start unloading Juan demanded payment in full plus an estimated charge for two hours to return to their shop which was 30 minutes away. I was supposed to be refunded for the extra time but that didn't happen. I gave into this ridiculous surprise demand because they were stressing out my 82 year old mom. They also again demanded we sign a form stating the furniture was all delivered without damage before they would start unloading. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!

DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY!!! I called them a week before my move and asked for a quote to move my 3 bedroom house. They quoted me 4 movers and a 26 foot truck for 2 hours for 253.30 an hour to load the truck. They then said there would be an overnight charge of 125 to store the truck at their warehouse. The next day they were to come out to my new house and deliver my stuff for 2 hours at 253.30 for 4 movers.

The movers showed up at 12:20 on Thursday to move my stuff. No advanced notice, no call. I showed them through the house what was to be moved (everything, all boxed, all broke down) and what was priority (the heavy stuff first). The lead mover then went over the paperwork with me and wrote down his start time as 12:15. They then backed in the truck, unloaded their stuff and walked around the house. Throughout the first hour they moved a minimal amount of boxes and made many trips up and down the stairs empty handed. 2 guys did most of the work.

Towards the end of the second hour they had most of the items brought down from the second floor. By the end of the third hour they had 75% of the house packed, but still had not packed the gun safe (As promised, discussed, and agreed upon) and chairs and a few other large items. Their fleet manager called and said that the truck/crew was needed back at the company.

The lead mover then had me go over paperwork at 2:50. The movers stopped moving. The lead mover called his manager and then wrote down 3:15 as the stop time. He was discussing drive time with his manager. He crossed out the 3:15 and wrote in 4:15. I said, "you moved me for 3 hours, one hour over what was agreed and you are leaving me here with 25% of my stuff still in my house and you haven't put the gun safe or the grandfather clock on the truck as agreed upon". He quickly signaled his team to move the safe and the clock and then informed me that I was being charged an extra hour for drive time. DRIVE TIME AT @ 224.95 an hour! THIS WAS NEVER MENTIONED TO ME OR AGREED UPON! They finished loading at 3 and left me with a job unfinished that I had to rent a uhaul to move.

I immediately called to complain. I was told by Allen (the 4th person I've talked to now) that I should never have been charged for drive time. He told me that I wasn't being charged for drive time, I was being charged for the 4 hour minimum on Saturdays as per company prices. I then informed him that it was Thursday. He corrected himself and said that the extra hour was wrong. I then asked him if he would credit me with an hour on delivery. He said yes.

The next morning there was a hang up on my end with my house not closing on time. I had made them aware that this would be a possibility. I called them as soon as they opened and asked them what my options were to store my stuff. I was quoted at $1400 to store my stuff for two nights! "We will have to unload your truck into our 8 vaults and then reload your stuff to bring it out to you for delivery. You will be then charged for unload at your house on top of that." I said that this was not an option and that I would rent my own storage unit and have them unload the truck there. Alan said that is just fine and that it should take their guys an hour to an hour and a half to unload the truck into the unit. I booked a storage unit (free for the first month) and had them meet me there at 12:45.

The same crew brought the truck out minus one guy (3 total movers this time). I was told that because there was only 3 guys the hourly rate was reduced to 175.80. The lead mover put the start time at 11:45. I said, your clock is off, it is 12:45. He told me I was being charged an hour for the drive time! This was not agreed upon. After the first hour, half the truck was left to unload. One of the movers then stopped moving and started removing tape from the moving blankets and folding up all the blankets. This took him over 20 minutes and while he stopped, so did the second mover. I recorded this on video.

At the two hour mark the lead mover brought paper work over for me to sign and pay for the move. I told him that I do not want to pay for this move until the job is finished. You were supposed to have this truck unloaded in an hour and a half and now it is two hours and still 25% of the truck left to finish. He called his manager and the manager called me. He told me that he told his movers to freeze the truck and close down the move until I payed. He strong armed me into paying up front and held my possessions hostage. He then yelled at me, "I do not have time to argue with you" to which I hung up and told the movers to get my stuff off the truck. I signed their paperwork with the lead mover putting down 3.25 hours as the total for this unload!

This company is sneaky, preys on people who are in a bind, and will hold your possessions ransom until you pay. You will never deal with the same person even when you request it. They will lie to you, make up prices as they go, add on fees as they feel fit and never put anything into writing. There is a reason they have so many negative yelp review and are a D on the Better Business Bureau website. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS!!! They stole $400 dollars from me!!!

Never choose All My Sons as a moving company. WATCH what you sign. This company has you as a customer sign a form saying that if they provide any claims to you that you will not complain or otherwise tell others how poor they were. Fortunately I did not myself sign that form. Someone else did. Who would believe you would have to go through such a process? We were mislead by their nice sales people in several ways. They promised the movers would be well trained and would package (cushion) our items well. They promised that our items would be protected in the move. One man started work that day and I don’t think he had 1 minute’s worth of training. One mover literally wrapped individual paper books! Remember you are paying by the hour! I wish I’d known what he was doing.

One time I found the whole crew of 6 taking a break on the side of the truck where they couldn’t be seen. One time I saw a whole crew of 6 watching 2 men wrap our piano. I did not agree to pay men to observe other men working. Then one guy put ornamental ceramics, my computer printer and other delicate items, with NO cushioning whatsoever, in a large box. Damages did occur on this and many other items. They destroyed a nice antique table by splintering the wooden legs. They damaged my grand piano so the whole key set was no longer operable. It was probably inadequately cushioned on the bottom of the truck so when it hit bumps it was jarred and damaged. Yes they offer a claims process. Their claims process is awful. Expect it to take a long, long time and then expect them to Low-ball you on your claim.

They also demanded we have our signature Notarized just to file the calm. That means you take their document to a Notary and PAY the notary to observe your signature and stamp the document. We did it once but then they wanted us to do it AGAIN on our acceptance form. I told them no. I said either waive their "requirement" for notarization or send a Notary to my house on my schedule and we'd sign/Notarize it for them. After a couple of weeks and several phone calls they finally decided they could waive this requirement. We made a list of $1800 in damages and they offered us $600. We said no. We went round and round with them on this. Go ahead and try to call their claims department. They won't call you back. We had to call them over and over again on this fiasco all through the process. (When you need moving services they will call you back pronto!!!)

Then we sent in the last acceptance form for the $1800 which they finally "accepted" to pay about Oct. 24. On Oct. 31 we have still not received a reply or a check so I contacted them. They said my check will be written on November 20. I suggest you find another moving company. Whoever you hire, WATCH what those guys are doing and save yourself some trouble. When they are wasting time doing something of no value to you then tell them to stop it. Better to stop them from damaging your things. You won’t like the claims process. I suspect most people just give up.

The process was far from efficient. Three of them had just started and never moved furniture before. They would stand around talking about each other or the three new guys didn't know what to do and was looking for direction from the foreman who was more interested in talking than moving. My husband and I saw that they needed motivating so we jumped in to help move some of the smaller items. They just sat there and watched us! I have moved several time before using a different company (two men and a truck) which we will be hiring to finish the jobs these guys couldn't get done.

That company had only two drivers and got an entire house in a previous move completed in 4 hours! These four guys with all my sons had a half of a house to move and six hours later only 3/4 of it was done and it came with a busted desk, bedside table and ripped leather couch and loveseat. We stopped the move immediately and told them to go. The manager was far from sympathetic and just referred us to their claims department. So 1,000 later we are not moved and have furniture that cannot be used. If we wanted busted up furniture, we would have saved the money and moved ourselves. I researched moving companies very carefully for a full pack and move from Indiana to Maryland. I interviewed three different movers, as is often advised. I was completely taken in by the surveyor Joe **'s promises of how careful the packers and movers would be, how he would make sure I had the "best team" (he even gave me names), and how they would bring special materials to protect breakables (like artwork) and how the "same team" would follow me to Maryland to deliver. It all sounded great. Maybe even too good to be true! Long, painful story short: the movers arrived without any packing materials and no record that this would be a full pack, and two hours later when packing materials were finally trucked down from Indianapolis, the delivery did not include boxes for artwork or boxes for clothing.

So clothes were thrown helter-skelter into boxes (no wardrobe boxes, as promised), and artwork was wrapped in blankets, not bubble wrap and boxes!!! And the "same team" could not follow me to Maryland, as one of the guys had an ankle monitor that didn't allow him to leave the state, and the driver explained it's cheaper for the company to have him drive by himself, and then pick up two unknown guys in Maryland to finish the move. So many items were dropped and broken. Artwork had been framed with museum glass, etc. Broken glass was everywhere. Some of the artwork was just mysteriously "lost."

Given the damage to the artwork and my belongings, not to mention the hole in the wall in my new house the one Maryland guy put in it that needs to be refilled and painted by an expert, I filed a claim, as instructed. For what will cost me several thousand dollars to fix and replace, the company has just offered me---are you ready?---$184.80, and holds me to the promise that I will not "thereafter publish or otherwise make to any person or entity verbally or in writing, any negative or derogatory remarks about AMS or its employees."

Their form is also hilariously full of grammar mistakes. They had me fill out long, complicated forms describing the losses and damage, all for this ridiculous sum. There is no way I will accept this, nor can they "buy my silence" for a measly $184. I don't really care as much about the money as I do about the lost items that had not only monetary value exceeding thousands of dollars, but sentimental value, as well.

Joe **, the surveyor, who was so nice and full of promises and assurances (like having the movers put runners down on the floors so as not to leave a mess---naturally, there was a huge mess that I had to stay up all night cleaning before leaving the next day to drive, and the runners were cheap paper that just tripped them) never returned my calls, even the day of the move when I tried to tell him things weren't right. Moving is also stressful enough without this. The two men on the Maryland end were rude and nasty. From beginning to end, this was a terrible experience, and clearly they are not going to reimburse me any reasonable amount for any loss. I am heartbroken over all the damaged items and losses. There was artwork that is irretrievable. They had told me that if they packed the artwork, they would be responsible for it. Not so. I feel tricked and deceived. No one is taking responsibility. The buck just gets passed on.

The sales agent at this place initially told me that my move would take 4 to 6 hours maximum with two movers. She quoted $99 per mover. To save myself additional money, I took four loads on my own, in a van, the night before the move. This was a two bedroom one bath house with 1300 ft. The night before my move one of the owners called and highly recommended that I hire a third person bumping up the rate to $149 per worker. I asked why he was changing this the night before the move and he said he was only trying to "save me money". So I agreed to that. The next day the movers arrived and I was told that I had to pay an additional $100 for the movers to drive to my house and another $100 for them to drive the truck back to the shop.

There were three movers there, and I have never seen movers move so slowly and inefficiently. They had no supplies like straps and no tools to take my furniture apart and put it back together. It was obvious that they were not trained well and did not know what the heck they were doing. While two of the men wrapped furniture awkwardly, the other stood there watching. As they worked they moved very slowly, putting only one or two boxes on a handcart, or carrying one thing in their hand and leaving the other hand empty. I was moving very quickly along with them to help make things go faster, bringing things to the porch and to the edge of their truck. I am 43 years old and a woman and was moving twice as fast as they were getting twice as much done. I was so frustrated watching these guys work and thinking about my money flying out the window each minute that went by.

The guys ended up taking 7 hours to move me. They broke a lot of my furniture. I watched them drop wooden furniture on its corners and saw later that the furniture is cracked and the drawers will not shut because the furniture is misaligned. My Tempur-pedic mattress and box were not wrapped at all and the corners are worn off and filthy. These guys got on their cell phones and joked around, and one even ask me if he could have something I was leaving behind, and got on his cell phone to arrange for a friend of his to come and pick it up at my house. So unprofessional. The final nail in the coffin was when at the end of the move I saw the guys in their truck folding up all the blankets neatly and stacking them and getting everything strapped down for the next customer on my time and my dime! They spent about 20 minutes doing that.

I contacted the owner and tried to have an adult conversation with him and asked only for a partial refund. I only wanted my original estimated amount to be honored. He stated that I was being uptight and argued with me and was extremely rude and disrespectful. No refund. I actually felt sorry for the movers because they are not skilled and not trained and probably don't make very much money per hour. It was estimated that my move would cost about $700. In the end the total was $1140. I was sick about it. Do not give this company your business. They are a bait and switch company that only care about making money hand over first and do not respect their customers or their employees.

Movers stole son's medication. Personally loaded and unloaded medication for my car to new address. Next day found pills spilled in box and 11 pills missing. I'm 100% sure it was taken by one of the movers. No one else came in contact with the box but me and the movers. This medication is vital to my son's daily function so I'm very angry. I also filed a police report.

We used All My Sons Moving Company out of Smyrna, GA on September 24, 2016 to perform a local move. The move was approximately 30 yards down the street from a leased townhouse to an owned townhouse. The owned townhouse had recently been completely repainted and was mark free at the time of the move-in. The leased unit was in excellent condition with the walls also without marks. Movers showed up relatively on-time with three men for a three bedroom, three story townhouse with heavy furniture. It took the employees' considerable time to get started and it was approximately two hours before the first piece of furniture was moved and it was a disaster.

A large wardrobe was poorly wrapped and before we knew it, the movers had let it scrape the walls down to the first stair landing, then let it make a large dent in the wall at the next landing, as well as scratching the hard wood floor and proceeded to have a very difficult time moving it to the bottom level. On the last set of steps, the wardrobe broke in half scratching the furniture permanently. The movers were beside themselves and apologized numerous times. They placed the two pieces in the garage and took pictures after contacting their supervisor. I took pictures as well. I then told the movers they did not have enough help to make this move and there needed to be a fourth person. I called the supervisor to apprise him of the situation and requested a 4th person to assist. I asked the movers to continue but only move lighter furniture and they assured me this would not happen again.

An hour passed and no call from the supervisor. I called him back and he said the lead mover was supposed to tell me they could not find anyone to help. Unfortunately, we had to move out that weekend or face additional rent the following week. We realized at this point, these movers did not know what they were doing and the remaining heavy furniture would have to be moved by another moving company. We had paid upfront for eight hours of moving time and after three hours approximately four pieces of furniture had been moved. Four hours into the move, we received a call from the supervisor (John) indicating his lead mover had called him and said this move would need to add an additional four hours to the eight to complete. At this point, we were very unhappy with the movers and we told the supervisor to contact us at the eight hour finished time to see how close they were to finishing.

The move continued to go downhill from there as I told the lead mover to ensure at the eight hour mark the furniture they had dismantled was moved and reassembled before they moved any more furniture. They continued to move furniture and six hours into the move I repeated these instructions which the lead mover said he understood. The movers began moving a large dresser and once again hit and scraped walls moving the piece out of the lease unit. Moving the piece into the new unit was another disaster. Halfway up the steps, the movers got stuck and were totally helpless and exhausted. I watched them debate for several minutes how they were going to get out of this predicament. It quickly became a safety issue and we were at a point where I felt a call to the fire department was the next step.

Fortunately, a new furniture delivery showed up at this point. The two men on this truck knew what they were doing and stepped in to rescue the movers who, without the help of these two gentlemen, would have been in serious trouble. Unfortunately, the movers had already scraped and dented the wall and stair railing in the new townhouse significantly. They again apologized but at this point I'd had enough. With thirty minutes left in the prepaid move, they had not started putting the furniture back together as we had agreed to do. At exactly eight hours, the supervisor called and said he was going to start charging more money as the mover said they were not done. I told the supervisor these movers had caused over $1000 in wall, floor and furniture damage and his company had the guts to not provide 15 more minutes of time to put the furniture back together. He said, "No, that is what insurance is for" and "submit a claim".

In addition to the inexperience and lack of moving skills, the movers were highly unprofessional. The way they were dressed and their actions were unacceptable. I politely told the supervisor to have the movers leave and they did so without saying another word. I had to call another mover to finish the job and they came a couple of days later and did a great job with four men in just over two hours and were very efficient and knew what they were doing. We will never use All My Sons again.

Worst ever movers. I plan some Chicago justice in the near future, but these folks don't give a flip about doing a good job for the client. All they care about is taking your money and run. Please run away before ever giving them the opportunity to move you or a family member. Won't go into details of the horror cause honestly, most people wouldn't even believe it or think you are exaggerating.

This is by far the most horrible moving company I have ever dealt with. They are unprofessional, rude, and careless. They moved my in-laws a distance of 10 miles and managed to break several pieces of furniture. Most of which is completely beyond repair and many of those pieces were treasured antiques. All My Sons also managed to damage parts of my in-laws' old house (which they had already closed on), and they damaged several other household items. The crew arrived to the house without the required number of trucks and movers and without an adequate amount of materials to get the job done correctly. Because of that, their work was halfway done and careless at best. Furniture was not shrink wrapped. Expensive china plates were stacked on top of one another without anything in between. Lamps and shades were tossed in boxes without any padding.

To make matters worse, their attitudes were awful. They could have cared less about being there and doing a good job. At one point, a member of the crew started making hateful and rude comments to my in-laws' complaining about having to redo something that was done wrong to begin with. Absolutely unacceptable. Because the crew was so slow and did such a poor job, they were running very much behind schedule. Instead of finishing the job properly by unloading boxes and furniture to the proper rooms at the new house, they literally dumped everything in the front yard of my in-law's new house! Then, they left! We had to get the rest of it inside, furniture and everything, by ourselves.

There is so much wrong with this company. If I could give it a negative number of stars, I would. If you need movers, please run far away from this company. They will bring you nothing but heartache and frustration. The worst part is that they don't even care. They show it by how they act, how they do business, and how they treat their customers. They are apathetic and dismissive, and I am appalled that a company that is as large as All My Sons can be so terrible. Please use this review as a warning. If you are moving in the near future, don't chose this company.

Please be warned never use this company. On Monday Sept 19th I reserved a move with All My Sons for Sat Sept. 24. I ask about the time and they said they would get back with me. Friday Sept 23rd I had not heard anything about the time, therefore I called and was told they would be making the schedule later that day and would contact me. No one contacted me and hours had passed so I called them and was told by Jason that it would be between 1-3 pm Sat. About 2:55 pm Sat I called to get an ETA. They didn't have one but would contact me when they do. I called back again and Josh said he would check and I was told that there was an issue with the current move that was being done and that they would get to me between 7:00-8 pm. I advised him that I could not get into the storage after 9 pm. His suggestion was that they would keep my items locked in the truck at their facility and deliver to my unit Sunday morning.

About 7 pm the same Sat I get a call from the driver saying he could not make it. By this time I am in tears because I need to be off the property. After begging and pleading what do I do, the driver said he would come Sunday between 9-10 am and move me. At this point I am at All My Sons' mercy. They have my deposit and the office is closed for the day, I could not contact the Managers. Sunday I wait and still no mover. I called the company and spoke with Jason one of the managers that seems to know nothing about my ordeal and would get back with me. I called the driver's number and got no answer. I waited an hour and called the company back and was told by Jason he had things to deal first and will let me know. Again I'm in tears. My daughter called because she was tired of me crying. He said "I'll call you back I got your number." Around 3 pm Sunday I get a call from a driver saying he is on his way.

Please be reminded that all calls made were by me to the company Managers Jason & Josh. They didn't call me. I had to initiate all calls. Not once was there a follow-up as to my moving status. Once the movers arrived at approx 4 pm Sunday I contacted Jason the manager regarding the cost. My question to him was if there would be any compensation (after all I was scheduled for 3 pm Sat movers arrive 4 pm Sunday). His response was that I would not get a free move but $20 off the original rate (I never asked for a free move)...which to me was not good enough. I explained that I was to have 3 movers and you only sent 2, even with the reduction it still works out to the original amount more time used. I also explained that I didn't have a ride to the storage space because all my resources were for Sat. He tells me unless I can get a ride he can't move me and he will tell his guys not to load the truck.

He advises that he is doing me favor by finding to men to move me. But my move was scheduled for Sat which I was prepared for. He continues to tell me I'm dealing with the past..."you're right it's affecting my present". I called about the final charge to my credit card and found it different. Apparently there's 3% processing fee for credit card transaction. Ask for the document showing this he said he would remove it. I do not recommend this company to my worst enemy. This has been the worst experience of my life.

I contacted All My Sons movers for my 81 year old mother's move. I have used moving companies in the past in another state and never had a problem. I was quoted a price for her, was told how experienced the workers were, that they were all bonded and never hired inexperienced people. They showed up on time and the first thing they told my mother was "we accept tips". They started loading the truck and about 1 1/2 hour into the move I had to take my mother to the title company that was about a mile away to close on her home. I left my adult son and niece with the 2 movers. When the closing was completed we drove back to the house to find the truck gone and most of the garage still full. When we got to my mother's new house we found her almost new refrigerator in pieces and one of the workers having my son trying to help him put it back together.

I immediately called the company and ask for the manager. I was told that I was speaking to the manager. I told him what was going on and he stated what did I expect him to do. I stated I expected him to get some people at my mom's house that could do the job correctly. He then informed me that I had his 2 best employees. By this time my nerves were about shot. He stated he would call the workers on the phone and get their side of the story. He called me back about an hour later and ask how thing were going and I informed him we had to rent a U-Haul truck to go get what his workers had left. He then said "Well they said they only left trash." A total lie.

I suffer from ALS and can barely walk and must use a walker but my niece and I loaded a truck full of things that were not trash. When we got back to my mom's new house they were gone and my mother and son were having to put the beds together, not to mention the refrigerator still apart. This company should be shut down. I WILL TELL EVERYONE WHO CAN HEAR ME TO NEVER EVER USE THESE MOVERS.

In June of last year, I helped my mother and brother move to a new location within El Paso. We hired All My Sons Moving company. Although the movers themselves were friendly and hardworking, the company drastically underestimated how long the job would take (seeming almost to ignore a storage shed we had in the backyard) and because of this, the move ran overtime and we were charged accordingly. We finally paid in the early afternoon, they went on their way, and we spent until well after midnight finishing the move ourselves.

Once we were finally settled in, I was disheartened to find that they had badly scuffed my brother's computer desk and completely snapped an old, hand-carved walking stick of mine that I had brought back from overseas and owned for over 20 years. I was prepared to write these off, however, as every move has some inevitable damages. We were much more concerned to find that they had damaged a Chinese antique that had been in my mother's possession for decades and followed her over several continents. Though not completely ruined, there was a sizable chunk taken out of the front of the piece, the remains of which we later found on the floor.

We got in touch with All My Sons to report the damage and to look into being reimbursed. During a phone conversation, we were told that the first step would be to get the piece appraised for its actual value and then its current value with damages. We could then find a second individual to handle the repairs. We followed AMS's instructions, and when the matter was settled, the final cost, between appraisal, work, repairs and devaluation, was a little over $1300 dollars (about half of that being the devaluation).

We sent this itemized information to AMS, waited around, and eventually received a settlement offer of about $100. The representative pointed out that in the movers contract, damages could only be covered at a ratio of less than a dollar per every one hundred pounds of material moved. It's not at all clear how they knew what the poundage was if they didn't weigh anything to start with, and more to the point, why tell us to go through the process described above (involving several months work and a lot of lost money) if that had nothing to do with the damage payment?

They did not have a response to either of these matters. We were assured that the movers would be informed of the damages and held to a higher standard. We then responded that the movers did a reasonable job and that the damages could be chalked up to human error, but in refusing to cover them, or make any real attempt at customer satisfaction, the company itself seemed to be at fault, far more than a couple of young men stuck in the back of a moving van. We refused the payment on principle, and have nothing to show for our time and trouble. As a result, I would like to share this recommendation:

DO NOT HIRE ALL MY SONS MOVING COMPANY. If you have glossed over everything written above, just listen to that bit. Avoid these people. This is a bad company; not just bad at their jobs but completely unconcerned with the well being of their customers. Avoid them unless you wish to be in business with a company that has nothing better to do than break your stuff, give you the run-around, take advantage of old ladies, and then try to fob the blame off on their lowest employees, rather than addressing the problem at the highest office as they should.

Moving is never a pleasant experience, but I have never encountered a company so untrustworthy, unhelpful, and so casually destructive as AMS. All My Sons swindled us, and they did so with complete indifference. Nothing much can be done to retroactively change that. I'm sure some clever people will respond that they are completely within their legal rights, which is both true and completely unhelpful. However, if YOU don't want to be the one receiving such cold comfort for your damaged materials and mementos, why not stay away in the first place? If I can keep even one person or family from meeting the same abysmal treatment that we did, that might go some small way towards making up for this fiasco. You have a choice of movers. Please, choose anybody else.

I found this company to be the worst moving company I have ever experienced. I have moved for work purposes over 7 times in the last 15 years, including state to state and overseas. This was probably the simplest move of them all, but it was a disaster from start to finish. I can't list all the things that they broke or damaged. Initially they admitted to it (since I witnessed it happening), called it in and agreed to reimburse me for it.

After I paid, I received a call from them explaining that they didn't do it and refused to take accountability. The workers then lied to their manager, right in front of me, saying they had no idea what happened. The manager told me it was my word against theirs. They all denied it happened and left. I got the sense that a few of the workers had never moved anything before. Glass broken, furniture broken and no responsibility taken. Disgraceful and shockingly rude customer service. My only recourse is to warn other people of this business.

They lied about everything: their company, their services, their moving situation specific agreement with me, the time of money due, and the amount for the job. I believe I was scammed and have subsequently learned (from inside sources) that my experience is common, if not the norm. I contacted them through a free moving quote online. When they replied online, it was a generic email stating they were local, independently owned, take pride in service, are careful, etc. All movers were owners in the company and had a stake in excellent service since it was their company. I later confirmed this was false information.

I wanted a specifically “high end quote” to prepare financially. After explaining my situation, logistics, and what I needed in a moving service on a couple extensive phone calls, Greg ** quoted me a "very high quote" and told it was most likely going to be lower. However, I wanted the highest quote to make sure I had money available. I spoke extensively on the phone and via email that they could perform the move without damaging my property and in the time frame I needed. Greg ** was my only contact person and aside from the two movers who came and actually moved me. He agreed the high end figure was $500. He wanted a $99 deposit, which I paid, to be credited to my bill. He also agreed to move the 2 bedroom apartment (first floor) 7.3 miles (11 minutes) to another 2 bedroom apartment (first floor).

They arrived earlier than Greg agreed, even though I told him several times I would not be home until 9.30 am. Therefore, they started the clock before I arrived. They didn't even have my apartment number at either address, although I gave it to Greg a few times. I verified it was not on the paperwork the employees were given. I had dismantled my washer and dryer; had everything packed, labeled, and moved into a central location next to the door; broke down my couch and recliner; and broke down all beds and had rods and rails secure. The only thing they had to do was physically pick things up, wrap furniture, and move my possessions.

I had to initial a paper "stating they were there and started at the time they stated they started" (15 minutes earlier than I told them I would be at home) and sign "giving them permission to move" or they couldn't move me. It was one sheet of paper- not a contract. I was not given a chance to read. It took 3 hours to move prepared items onto a truck, twice the amount of time previous moving companies had taken with the same possessions. I provided them with water and fruit for a snack on their drive, but they wanted to “stop for a Gatorade” on the way to the other apartment. I agreed it was reasonable that they could buy a drink on the way. It took them an hour to get from door to door. They didn't tell me they didn't have my apartment number to the new place and Greg didn't provide them with my complete destination address on their paperwork or via phone.

When they arrived, they demanded payment to get my things off of the truck. I was shocked and said I would pay at the end after "their clock stopped" per my agreement. I was told they were given orders not to unload until they received 703.63, paid in full. They said if they charged more than the time it took them to unload, they would issue me a refund. The movers added they felt bad, but they were doing their job and that most customers are shocked that they have to pay more. Their items are held until payment. I called Greg. He argued and said I had to pay if I wanted my possessions, he denied any agreement with me, and ultimately yelled at me. I paid so I wouldn't lose everything we owned.

The bill was 203.63 from the quote I was given for the move “if they had to” break down the beds, assemble them, not be careless and damage furniture and boxes including nearly ALL of my furniture, and follow our agreement (the reason I hired them), charging me at the end of the move, and placing the furniture in the proper place. They ran my card through a tablet and asked for a signature. The only screen I was shown was a line to sign. When I paid, I received computer generated receipt- printed the date of my move (prior to moving and my initials/signature) that I had NEVER be provided with or seen with the original form.

I showed them an oil spot to avoid in the parking lot so they wouldn't track it into the apartment (they ignored me and got oil all over the carpet). I showed them where the furniture and labeled boxes would go and instructed them not to assemble the beds or washer/dryer (I would do all of that). Greg previously agreed they would place the furniture in the designated places (that did not happen).

I was told unloading was faster than loading, but they took so long, Greg called and instructed them to dump the remainder of my possessions (about half) into the parking lot (not the apartment). FORTUNATELY, because I had no money to hire another moving company and couldn’t move furniture on my own (why I hired movers), the movers “worked off of the clock” because they “felt so bad for me.” After having some time to think about the matter, if I could do it over, I would have called the police to charge them with theft of my property when they seized my property and held it hostage.

I hired All My Sons movers to move me from Montgomery, Texas into Houston, Tx. Initially I was going with another moving company who gave me a better hourly rate quote $129 per hour. Anyway, then they call me just before 7am stating they'd be to my home in 30-45min. That turned out to mean 2 hrs because they arrived just before 9 because they could not locate the residence. Although I continued explaining to the leader who was driving but he did not listen well. So they get there, he asks me to show him around the house to see all I need moved. After doing so he says he's gonna give me down time once we get loaded because he needs to run by the bank. I told him that's fine because on the way out I need him to drop a gas grill at my mother's on the way. We both agreed. They wrapped everything and loaded them up neatly. After loading the driver reminded me that he'd have to go to the bank and left.

Once I made it to my mom's house they arrived 40 minutes afterwards and we left for my Houston destination. Once they began offloading I was packing my clothes to my apt (which was 300-500 feet away from where we were) and he said "I could use the 4 wheel dolly and big box to make it easier for me." I said thanks and he said "Man, luckily I stopped by my shop to grab more dollies or we'd be in trouble". Keep in mind that he told me he was going to the bank. After finishing the move he asked if I had anything more for them to do so I told him to take my tv off the stand so I can get my drill to put take the brackets off of it and put them onto another tv that I wanted on that stand. It was after their cutoff time and I didn't want to pay any more money after paying $915 already. I told him "No I'll take care of it." He said "I have my drill here. I'll do it. No problem" further insisting on doing this although it was after their cutoff.

At the time I thought it was nice of him. Later after unpacking everything I noticed the red and black bag (very nice bag made by klein tools) I watched 1 of the helpers carry onto the truck was missing. That bag had all my drill/screw bits, charger for my drill, remote controls for 2 tv's and the assembly screws for my bed, mirror dresser and tv wall mounts in it. Now it's clear why the driver continued to insist on using his drill (after their cutoff) instead of me possibly noticing my items were missing. I called and spoke with Sam (at the Spring location) and informed him that my bag that I saw go on the truck did not come off. He said he'd check into it and get back with me. He did, but when he did he said there was nothing on the truck and his driver and helpers said they didn't see the bag but I saw the 1 helper carry it out and onto the truck on top of a larger box.

Sam asked me to search more and get back with him. I did and told him I saw it go on the truck and described which helper put it on but he only said he'd get back with me if anything turns up. I now know the driver stopped either during the 40 minutes he supposedly went to the bank but ended up saying he went to his shop later. Or they stopped before getting back to the yard at the end of the day. Word of advice that I should have known better than to do is NEVER let a mover go anywhere with your items without being supervised by yourself. Also, make certain you inspect their trucks yourself prior to allowing them to leave.

Where to begin? We were moving from Summerville SC to Murphy NC, which is way up in the mountains of Western NC. The man came out to give me the estimate, after a brief chat, he asked me what I was looking to spend. The oldest trick in the book that one is. If I had said $3000, you can bet your ** it would have been damn near that. Lol. Anyway. For a 3 bedroom house going point to point and them only loading and unloading, they quoted me $2800. That was a fair enough price based of previous moves we had done with what we were taking. I gave them a deposit and secured our date.

Moving day comes and a crew of 4 show up. They were very polite and in uniform and seemed knowledgeable about their job. They came with their biggest truck and I had told them that it would be a tight fit before they arrived. But the estimator ASSURED me they would get it all on. WRONG!! Thanks God I decided to get a 12ft U-Haul trailer to pull behind my PU or we would have never got it all in! They also managed to break 3 pieces of glass shelving before they even left. No biggie an easy fix.

Two days later on the agreed date, they show up to unload. Now keep in mind here, we were moving into a mountain community with a gravel road. I explained this to the estimator (who knew jack ** about moving) and implored him to watch the video I had made to show him it was over a mile up a steep winding road. Again. He assures me that his men are skilled in ALL conditions. OK... If you say so! Also let me back up.

The 1st major SNAFU occurred 20 miles outside of Summerville. The truck was 200lbs overweight and they had to RENT a Ryder truck to take the overflow off the 1st truck, so it would be legal at the scales. I go meet them and they follow me up the road. The moving truck got stuck twice but he managed to get it to my driveway. My driveway is 150 yards of concrete that is on a 6% grade! The driver said he can't make it up but he'll try. He tried backing up and gets halfway up. Great I think. Nope. he goes back down and then can't get back up! Solution?? Park the truck on the gravel road and use MY ** pickup to shuttle EVERY single solitary thing up to my house. Needless to say I wasn't happy at all. We began at 9:30 in the morning, and they finished at 11:00 pm that night! The movers were pissed (rightfully so) as they explained that the estimator was an idiot who does this type of thing on EVERY move he estimates!!

Now the fun stuff. Around 6:00pm, Tony (the lead guy and driver) says he would like to settle up before he can't reach anyone for CC confirmation. OK I think, we're 3/4's of the way done, why not? He comes to me with the bill and I look and my jaw hits the floor. It's for almost $6000!!! I was like WTF is this? Tony begins to explain that the charges are for the 2nd truck, and hours for rescuing my load at the scale and storing our stuff for two days (which sat in the Ryder truck who knows where?) fuel and some other overage BS nonsense. I ask him if he's for real and to get someone on the phone right away. He gets the "owner" or someone with authority and we begin to haggle. He's whining about how he's not going to make any $ on the move and all he wants to do is break even etc. I'm like **!

What I have neglected to tell you all is that 30 years ago I was a long distance owner operator for United Van Lines for 10 years! Lol. I counter him with I explained in DETAIL about the location of the move, the time I KNEW it would take to load and unload and how I thought it was a cheap quote, but he INSISTED that he was correct. OK I thought. This is your dime. Lol. After going back and forth, I ended up giving him $500 more and not a penny more. He wasn't happy but ** him!

The damage was kept to a minimum. A few glass shelves broken and couple of picture glass and they managed to lose the bolts for the dining room table. So all in all. I could live with it. Would I recommend this company? NO!! I wouldn't let them move me across the street. I was suspect of their gross incompetence before they even begun. But went ahead with them anyway.

The crew was awesome, they busted their ** and were great guys. The truck was new and clean but the estimator and the rest of it was a joke! It's true what they say Boys and Girls. You get what you pay for. If you want to move? Use a reputable carrier such as United, Allied or another, or there's always the option of using PODS or getting your own truck and moving yourself. I knew this move would be difficult based on my own personal experiences and from my former career. Hope this helps some of you out?

I hired All My Sons vs. a local company because I felt I would get a better moving experience than I had in the past. Three men showed up and took THREE hours to empty an one bedroom apartment. They brought boxes - that they charge for and proceeded to pack in boxes the very things I had already packed. I had forgotten I had a few dirty dishes in the sink. Then they proceeded to use the clean clothes I had packed to "protect" these dishes. They had failed to bring packing materials for my dishes, and used my clothing instead. I have a fragile china lamp that was not wrapped and a gold peacock that I explained came from the Forbidden City, obviously I was speaking over their head, but I did explain that I could not replace these items.

After three hours and sixteen miles, I was charged 805.00. Originally, it was reduced from 860.00 after I told them I was quoted the non weekend price. They rudely agreed. They set up my things. I tipped and they left. As I was going through my things, I realized that my great aunt's pearls were not there. I immediately called them and they once again rudely denied any such thing would happen. I filed a police report and my insurance company immediately. Moving is a miserable experience anyway, but this was the worst. They will of course deny the theft of my pearls, which were secured. I am left with an empty hollow space that comes with the theft. Let's put in in a nutshell, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY REASON. They mislead, lie about the company, and disregard and comments. The system they use for customers to sign the contract is you place your signature and initials for the clocking in of hours (but not to clock out) and this loaded signature can be used by simply tapping the screen in the proper location. My signature could be placed on any document even though I did not sign it. This leads to fraud. Matt, the manager of the Woodlands location disregarded my complaints, did not repair the damage to my door.

This company is a straight rip off. I have reported them to BBB, and trying to get my local news station to blast them on national tv. I moved from a 2 bedroom to a small one bedroom using a different company and the total charge was $200. Moving from the small 559 sq ft apt. I used All My Sons. They got there moved like malasis loading (which is all they had to do because I didn't have much and had EVERYTHING boxed and broke down) then after they finished they drove 20 mph in a 40mph. I moved not even 5 mins away and it took us almost 35 mins. I had to keep stopping to wait for them to catch up.

NOW during reserving their services I was quoted $109ph. When we arrived to the new location a guy came in the apt and stated we can't remove the items off the truck until you pay us. WAIT why am I paying before services aren't completed?? Then he stated the total was $700. Long story short they don't inform you that they aren't charging you by the hour. They are estimating your total and going by that. I talk to the RUDE manager here in the Orlando area and was able to get a small reduction but it was still more than this move should have cost. If anyone know the ends and out of starting a civil law suit please let's get it going and shut these rude unprofessional ripoffs down all over the world. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. We had All My Sons move us from Ft Lauderdale to Charleston SC last month. As with most of the reviews I have read the complaints are similar. Inadequately trained employees, management that refuses to accept any responsibility for the actions of their employees. Missing boxes, property, they broke a 60" Samsung Flat screen TV that was 2 years old because they did not pack it properly. Damaged three antique Tiffany lamp shades, again because they didn't pack them properly. They are guilty of fraud because I specifically asked him (Bret) how the TV and lamps were to be packed, and they were not. Then when I filed a complaint they offer me an insulting amount for the damage, falling back on the $0.60 per pound insurance limit.

We will see if this holds up because I fully intend to bring them into a courtroom and demand a jury trial. I also wrote the President of the company a letter of complaint, sent it registered mail, return receipt requested and he did not respond, so you have a pretty good idea where the character and ethics of this company comes from. I was never told they would not move large heavy items or open boxes (without lids) or they would not even unplug a lamp. I told the salesman that I had quite a few items they might like to be boxed and they would need to pack those items. Also, there were a number of pictures that were not boxed that needed to be. They were very slow, did not pack the truck full before saying they needed to do a 2nd load. There was an item they WOULD NOT move, that I had to hire another moving company to move; which they did in one hour.

It took two loads and they did not put the boxes in the rooms they were marked for. They barely put up my bed and left. Before they removed anything from the 2nd load, they demanded payment and would not take a check, but required credit card. When talking to the office, they were not helpful, stood up for the salesman (his word against mine) and the moving crew. From the other perspective this company runs very light in explaining what their actual charges are. When talking with their representative on the phone he made it clear in representing how they are a much better company than others with how they charge for the move. What he did not make clear is that they charge 12% for fuel based on the bill for the entire move!!! The entire move ended up taking 4:15 minutes at $129.00 per hour. This should have totaled out to $548.25 plus another $129.00 for 'travel cost' which brings the total to $677.25. When I called to get clarification on the bill the representative hung up on me. My final bill was $892.00 plus out of good conscience I tipped the movers $50.00. Please do yourself a big favor and do not use this company because there is underlying tone of being unethical.

Because I have hired two other moving firms in the area to move similar and lesser size homes further distances within the last three years, I was expecting the total move charge to be less than $500. Not only did AMS stretch the move time out to 5.5 hours at the cost of $874.50, they added a fuel charge of $124.02 and travel time of $159. My family used the All My Sons Moving company to relocate from southern Ohio to Michigan in July 2016. The problems with our experience occurred as a direct result of the initial consultation with the sales representative, Jarla **, when she and her company set very high expectations and standards that simply were not upheld. For example:

    (1) Washer/Dryer. I clarified with Jarla several times during the initial consultation in my home that the All My Sons movers were capable of uninstalling/installing our stackable washer and dryer as this was one specific reason we sought outside moving assistance to begin with. Jarla not only told me that the movers were capable of uninstalling/installing and unstacking our machines before transporting them, but she also pointed out the necessity of the shipping bolts for the washing machine. Once the movers showed up and had no idea what to do with the washer and dryer, I then called the lead sales manager for the ** branch, Ethan **, who informed me that it is expressly stated in the company policy to prohibit movers from uninstalling/installing washers and dryers, which was in direct contradiction to my conversation with Jarla.

I also bring up the point of the shipping bolts, because the movers had “no idea” what to do with them, and they left them with us as a result. Consequently, we had to pay additional funds for a technician to install our washer and dryer and for them to assess the machines for damage due to the negligence during the moving process. Additionally, Ethan ** told me on the phone the night the movers picked up our furniture that he “would take care of it” with regard to ensuring the shipping bolts were installed in our washing machine on the morning prior to the truck leaving for the MI trip. He also ensured the he would personally make sure our furniture was properly secured and packaged. However, the washing machine arrived to our new home in Michigan without any bolts in place—another blatantly broken promise by the All My Sons company.

    (2) Antique Wooden Furniture. During the consultation, Jarla and I spoke at length about the care necessary to properly transport my family’s irreplaceable antique furniture. Jarla was given explicit notice as to the sensitive nature of our furniture and ensured that it would be handled with care. Jarla repeatedly assured me that her company would provide bubble wrap, blankets, etc. and take extra care to safeguard these family heirlooms. Upon pick up day, after showing up three hours late, the moving crew had a total of three straps, not a single roll of bubble wrap and only a handful of blankets. They indicated that they were given no notice whatsoever as to the nature of the furniture they would be transporting.

Consequently, upon the arrival of our furniture in Michigan, nearly every single piece of furniture sustained damage (e.g. significant scratches, cracks, and splinters), all of which has been photographed. As a specific example and one which was pointed out to the moving crew, one of the legs of our antique tallboy (i.e. the furniture piece that I specifically discussed with Jarla upon our initial consultation/walkthrough) has been completely cracked in half. When confronted about the damage, the crew responded: “Oh my bad, man.”

Once the moving crew left and we were able to fully assess the damage of our belongings, I attempted to contact both Jarla and Ethan again with respect to our concerns— I have yet to hear any response from anyone in the company, even 10 days later. We were able to contact the claims department. I informed the woman I spoke with that I would like to have a company representative contact me. I am still awaiting a response from anyone in the company.

On Friday two trucks and 5 people showed up late (9:30 am) because a truck broke down. These loaders had to pack most of the day. Boxes were not marked adequately on 50% of the boxes so it was a hunt once delivered. I called the Office on Friday at 3 pm. I conveyed the guys were working really hard but they needed to send more help as I didn't want this going on until midnight. He said he had no one else to send. My husband and I ended up helping pack some boxes just to speed up the process and left some items behind as it was getting late. The move was 75 miles from Jacksonville, FL.

Needless to say they didn't finish unloading the second truck until 1:30 AM on Sat. There is some damage to walls in other house and a few items but nothing major that can't be repaired. It appears my brand new Shark vacuum still in box is missing. Not sure of anything else yet. That was an obvious box. The crew worked hard for over their allowed hours which I am appreciative of however the company does not pay them overtime or give them lunch breaks. This company is the worst. Here is my email to them after the fact: Most of our furniture was damaged in some way, including two freshly refinished pieces. In total 11 pieces were seriously damaged. Obviously we are shocked; when you pay a professional company to move your furniture the expectation is that it will arrive without damage. It seemed to us that the movers were good guys but poorly trained and badly equipped and under-supported for the big and hard job they were doing. It seemed like they didn’t know what to expect on either end and were surprised to hear that they’d be going up three flights on the destination end. Communication between the office and the movers seems like an issue.

Other disappointments: Your customer care number actually calls a poor woman in Phoenix who says she is constantly getting calls from people with damaged furniture. This seems pretty sketchy. The estimator, James **, told us that our piano could be moved “no problem”. However, you are clearly not equipped to do so. You should have told us this upfront so that we could make other arrangements. Now we are stuck with our piano at your warehouse.

We were required to help the movers far more than we should have. We had to oversee disassembling furniture and figuring out how to get items out of the house, unwrapping, etc. the entire day. We felt we could not leave the movers for a minute. We feel strongly that we should not have had to play the role of foreman when hiring a professional moving service. Some of the blankets used to wrap furniture were falling apart, directly leading to some of the damage to our furniture. This is what we mean by the movers being poorly supported. The movers left two items wrapped in our apartment, please tell us what to do with the three pads.

The movers were polite and did work fairly quickly, but the final cost of the move ended up being over $400 more than I anticipated, and at $1100 it was 3 times more expensive than any moving company I have ever used. But worse than that, I realized that several items of mine were missing or damaged after the move, including a 6' tall bookshelf that disappeared. They damaged my almost new audio receiver and it no longer works, and they "misplaced" a Dyson Hot + Cool Fan and my gym bag that had all of my kickboxing equipment as well as gloves and other sports items from my childhood.

And if that was not bad enough, when I filed a claim with their service department the settlement they offered was an insult and would barely cover the cost to replace one item, and they called it "generous". I fully realize they have a $0.60 per pound replacement policy, so by the letter of the law they are correct that their offer was "generous". But when a move across town costs this much money and they screw up so royally, it is ridiculous for them to offer a settlement so paltry that it is worth more to me to write negative reviews than it is for me to accept the money. Do not use this moving company. I have used other movers in the past that were a fraction of the cost and did their jobs professionally and without any issues or damage.

They are professional and courtesy when you inquire service - heck when the crew shows up on moving day they are as well however be warned it ENDS there! Let's start with the fact that we were quoted with a 26ft truck but they sent a 16ft truck leaving us to jam stuff in our vehicles with 4 kids, a dog & a cat. My husband ended up having to make a second trip back because we couldn't make it happen in one.

We moved an hour away so that's a fun drive in the middle of the night on limited sleep. We got over this although annoying. Next up the truck and crew had a solid 20 minute head start as we were still jamming stuff in our cars again with kids & pets. I was the last to leave the house when I hit traffic I called the crew come to find out they took a longer way to get to our new home.

We got to the house and was waiting for over an hour for the truck to arrive again. They left 20 minutes before my husband did. They wouldn't start until payment was made, I understand this however I feel maybe half should be done so the homeowners can check their items. After the payment is made my husband is told they only have about 90 minutes to empty the truck before we have to pay more. So we were left with chaos and still sorting get through it. Again we got over this.

Here's the part that has me fired up. The next day when my husband goes to put our brand new cribs back together he learns both cribs are scratched up. They wrapped everything but the cribs why I don't know and it didn't dawn on me because I was dealing with 2 newborns and 2 older kids. When I say new I mean brand new! We just had twins 3 weeks before moving and they had just started sleeping in the cribs that week.

I call immediately, we moved on a Friday. My first call was a Tuesday, I speak with Paul ** who tells me he will contact the crew and give us a call back in 15 to 20 minutes. I try to be reasonable and wait the entire day and call back the next. I'm told he's out of the office but I'm given his email address to send the pictures of the damage.

I call back 2 days later. Now he just stepped out. I follow up on the initial email and request a response even giving my husband's email. Again silence and my frustration is exploding. I call back and Paul ** answers so I lay out how I've tried reaching him and have gotten no where. I'm given this story of how busy they are, hmm hello 2 newborns, 2 kids just out of school for the summer, just moved and trying to settle in, and resolve the crib issue. He gives me an attitude with that story and rudely goes, "Did you not receive the release I sent you." I asked what release and for what because as of yesterday nothing was sent and no call was received. He then says, "I can give you $100 for it." I said, "What, we used them for a week roughly, we purchased them brand new, your crew did this and I have to hunt you down." He says, "Let me call our furniture guy "Mike" and have him come see if he can fix it and I will call you back."

I wait again no call back. Again I call and I request Paul's manager... he actually answered the phone... I explain all that happened. He seems agitated at Paul for the run around and the damage by the moving crew and appears to what to make things right. He asked me to send him the pictures and he was calling "Mike" the furniture guy and would call me back.

I get a call the next day as a courtesy from David to let me know he's working with Mike. I'm hopeful at this point that he truly wants this resolved. Foolish of me to think that. I follow up by email the next work week because I hadn't heard from him. I get back an email offering me $100 for the damage. This company clearly doesn't have a furniture guy named Mike. They ignore you hoping you'd go away and when they can't get rid of you they believe $100 resolves the issue. I ask you how would they feel if they spent their hard earned money to buy brand new cribs not even use them for a month heck barely a week and have someone damage them due to clear neglect only to have $100 bucks thrown at them. These are cribs that we were hoping would grow with our kids as they are converting cribs and no I'm not realistic in thinking they would go undamaged all those years.

However I do know they wouldn't be damaged or scratched up as bad as they are today with barely any use. I failed to properly do my research on this company and that's my fault... lesson learned! My husband and I went with this company over a larger better known company wanting to back the small business however this company is NOT worth it. I repeat it is not worth the support! After some minimum searching I discovered we aren't the only one who's experienced this issue and it's the same exact thing. Damaged furniture... report said damage... get the run around and never hear from or see this supposed furniture guy Mike. We warn you. Find a better more reputable moving company but if you still go with All my Sons... good luck! Be prepared for nothing but frustration. And headaches!

Worse move I have ever had. The two very young men started at 8 a.m. and finished at 10:30 p.m. They were exhausted. Should have been at least four men. Two neighbors, my husband and I helped with the packing even though they were being paid to do so. They left several pieces behind, packed pictures without wrapping. Packed an organ without supports to prevent damage from movement during the ride. Many items were damaged. I don't know how they stay in business.

Worse of all, they refused to pay for the damage with their piddling insurance policy. All they would have had to pay was $125.00. They said I signed the paper, so they didn't have to pay me. I crossed out the part where it read that I would not say anything negative about the move, and that's why they wouldn't pay. Broken items included a Tiffany lamp shade, the glass on a picture, a missing drill, and many other pieces. It is sad to think that they won't assume responsibility for damage they caused. I would never recommend them to anyone.

We hired All My Sons to move us long-distance in the US. As we watched them pack to make the move, we quickly realized that we were going to be in trouble, as the movers had no regard for our belongings at all. They did not pack anything correctly (some pictures has NO PACKING AT ALL), blamed my wife for breaking a glass (she wasn't even home), and literally destroyed the staircase by banging furniture around. Strangely enough, a new grill also went missing during the move. We have moved 12 times around the world and never had anything near this poor.

When we unpacked we found what we expected. Broken everything - furniture, pictures, game table, and many other items totally destroyed. I mean, TOTALLY destroyed. There is no company worse at moving than All My Sons. They tout how they move sports teams, but I am sure that they don't treat the athletes' belongings like they did ours. Stay away.

Updated on 12/20/2016: After destroying tens of thousands of dollars of my belongings, All My Sons has offered me a total of $831. Stay away from them AT ALL COSTS. They are the WORST MOVING COMPANY I HAVE EVER COME IN CONTACT WITH (I have moved 12 times).

They had no equipment. Some broken down piece of wood with wheels that looked like a kid put it together. The first thing they said was “Oh this will take more than 2 hours.” One bedroom apt. No fridge, no washer dryer... I freaked out as I was moved into that apt. in less time. They had a manual screwdriver I had to give them a power screwdriver. They used the apartment’s equipment to move as only has one dolly. We stayed on them and they were done with the furniture and wanted to leave. I still had 30 minutes... do not use these guys. I was so stressed and they play on that knowing you have to move.

This company is the worst moving company I have ever worked with. And that says a lot since I've moved quite a bit in the military. I went with this company because on their advertisement it says they take apart and reassemble all items free of charge. Well not free it comes with the price. That is the only reason I chose them. When I made my reservation I told them I had bunk beds in the initial inventory along with many other items. Not a problem. The night before my move. They called to confirm the appointment. I told them about the bunk beds again. And I was then told that we do not take down bunk beds or put them back together!!! What?!? That would have been nice to know. So now I have bunk beds and loft beds that the movers won't move. So now it's on me. While I'm paying them almost $200 per hour!!!

When they came it was a man and two very young men/Kids. They did not work in an organized fashion. They looked to the older gentleman for all directions. All of a sudden they said that one got bit upstairs by a bug. And asked if my dog had fleas at all? My dog has never had fleas of any sort. So then the older guy says his guy is swelling up and it must be bed bugs in the master mattress. Before talking to me or showing me what he was talking about. He already called back to his boss and said it had to be bed bugs. I was shocked. I demanded for them to show me where!!! He goes to show me what he thought was a bed bug on the bottom of the mattress. He said those 3 black dots on the mattress. I looked, asked "right here?" And he said "yes." I proceeded to pull the black dots off and they were balls of sock fuzz!!! And one piece of string that was balled up!!! I asked if he wanted to touch it? Did he see that it was a ball of fuzz? He said yes!

I told him to call his boss and tell him that he made a mistake. Instead he drove off!!! So it was not a bed bug but in fact fuzz!!! My husband is a police officer and wears black work socks every day. But since he already made the call back to the boss. They proceeded to take my stuff off the truck put it in my driveway and garage. They did not even put everything back in the house, they left it outside!!! I took pictures of everything!!! And now I'M out of a mover, a truck and I have 24 hours to move a 3-bedroom house.

Beware of this company. They are unprofessional. Instead of saying "we made a mistake but we wanted to make sure" they jumped to conclusions and are not man enough to admit they had made a mistake! I'm not done. I'm going to proceed with this further... This company has had mostly bad reviews but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Shame on me!!! Do not ever use All My Sons Moving and Storage!!! I want my deposit, what the cost will be for me to hire other movers and the stress and anguish.

I did, in fact, call Jason and he agreed that I would not have to pay for the second trip that would be required because the truck was too small. These movers started about 10:00-10:30 and did not leave my house until 12:30 am. In the process they damaged walls (at both locations), broke/chipped wood on the banister (new location), scratched furniture, broke a lamp, and broke the leg off my dinette set. The final thing was Jason back-peddling on our agreement and tried to deny the discussion trying to charge me $2,200. Please, do not use these movers, this is not out of anger but from true experience. THEY ARE THE WORSE.

During all of the calls no one mentioned the hidden fees for Saran wrap of all of the furniture which added $100 and at least 2 hours of time. The movers worked so incredibly slow, it was obvious they were trying to pad the clock in order to increase the charges. The initial quote per hour was different than what was charged. Even with the wrapping, the movers did not know what they were doing and still broke and damaged several pieces of furniture. Our home is brand new so the hole in the sheetrock was obvious also.

After reading so many bad reviews, I felt that I needed to leave a review myself. I worked for this company a little over a month ago. I only worked a week. They had an ad for drivers, and when you come in they tell you that you help move as well. At the time I really needed a job, so I thought l would give it a try. I made it clear I was not experienced in any of this, and they assured me that I would just be a "helper"/driver (which I later realized means mover). This company is one of the worst companies I have ever seen in my life. They hire everybody that applies. They do not train you at all, they have you come in at 7 am, they give you a green t-shirt, and pair you with someone they call a vet (my 2 vets had been working a month with no prior moving history) and you go on a job (this entire process is about 3 hrs with no pay). My three experiences were all terrible, and after that I decided I did not want to work there anymore.

My first experience (the first day) they tried to put me on a four-man team when the customer asked for three. The supervisor Wendell said "just get there and go for the upsell". Luckily the driver called the customer before we even left to make sure that it was okay to have an extra person. The customer said no so I got off that truck and got put onto another job which was a three-man team which should have been a four-man team. Because we are not professional movers it takes a long time. Once again, I thought I was being paired with pro's and I would just be the wrapper/packer/"helper". Everything has to be wrapped, but the person I was with looked shocked that I was using the blanket pads and everything so I'm guessing that they don't usually wrap things properly. It took 8 hours to load everything onto the lady's truck. We got to her new home and then it took about 3 hours to unload everything off the truck.

We did not finish the job until 11:45 at night. So I had been working for 16 hours, with no break. They only pay you for when you get to the location and when you finish so the first 3 hours I don't get paid for. Second day we go to a lady's apartment. It looks like a very reasonable job for the crew that I was with. Once again it was me, another person who just started, and another "vet" who was 100 lbs. The issue with this job was that the salesperson told this woman that it was $189 for 3 hours. When we got to the location and went over the paperwork she realized that it was 189 per hour which she did not agree to so it was cancelled and we had to leave. What made this so bad is because this poor woman had a brand new baby. It was very obvious that it was not clearly stated to her that it was $189 per hour.

She said it over and over again that the woman said it was $189 for a three-hour job. It would have made no sense for her to pay that much money for that small move. And when I told the manager Wendell, that I thought it was extreme miscommunication and that the woman really honestly thought it was $189. He replied that the customer is trifling and that most of our customers are trifling people that lie all the time. My third day, and final day, me, another new person, and the same vet who weighs about a hundred pounds soaking wet, were sent on a huge job. The customer had three to five flights of stairs in their townhouse. The customer stated to the salesperson that they had extremely heavy things that needed to be thrown over railing that really needed professional moving work. We were clearly not the team for this job.

We did not have back braces, we did not have any kind of straps that would help us move, we were not prepared for something this huge. I felt really bad for the customers because I'm sure when you pay this much money an hour you are thinking you're getting professional movers but you're really not. You're getting any Average Joe off of the street they promised us that we're just going to be packing and helping but we are the actual Movers. This guy was so mad because it took us 6 hours to load the items in his home, and he had other stops to make (which was not in our paperwork), he had a lot of work to do, and we just could not do the job. We could not finish it in the time he wanted. We didn't finish until 3 am. Company is just a huge scam on all ends.

The people that are working for that company are fooled into thinking that we're coming in as drivers or we're just going to be helping when in actuality we are supposed to be the professional movers and we clearly are not. There are some people that are professional movers and that do have the experience. I see what they try to do is give a hard job to a team of 3 that are going to take a long time so they can charge the customer per hour. If it's a small job they will send extra people to try to upsell. Customer is paying a high rate per hour. The guy John that works there is a total liar, so don't believe a thing he says. Also, they have jobs called hangers, that crews are sent in if they finish their first job early. I never stayed long enough to go on a hanger. From reading the reviews, I gather that these "hangers" are probably the people who had to wait all day for their move. PLEASE DON'T USE THIS COMPANY AND DON'T TRY TO WORK FOR THEM!!

I had a HORRIBLE experience with All My Sons previously (August 2015) and should have never used them again. But the sales rep, John ** stated that it would be fine and he would assure that I wouldn't experience the same issues again for this next move (i.e. unexperienced movers who looked like teenagers, who put holes and scratches in my walls and dents/scratches, etc. on my washer, dryer, bed frames, coffee tables and end tables)! I was told during that time that when I submitted my complaint request, filled out paperwork and sent in pictures that it would take a couple weeks to review and process, but then I was told several weeks later that "no information was provided or could be found". I should have walked away then, but I didn't and was willing to give them a second chance, but it all backfired in my face!

I contacted them on May 19th at 9:00am to schedule a move for June 25th. John ** stated that again, he would ensure I wouldn't have a horrible experience and he would see to it. He gave me the quote and after talking to him for over 30 min, he provided a confirmation at 9:40am. I just got a call (6/20 @ 8:28am) stating that the move I had scheduled for the 25th, there was a "glitch" in the system and the order is actually incorrect. They wouldn't provide the extra guy they said I would have for the hourly rate! These would probably end up being the same "teenager" type boys and not the "best crew" I was told by John that I would receive. I asked if we could get John on the phone to discuss and he stated "I'm an owner" and maybe other companies operate that way, but we don't - He's in sales and I'm in the execution area where we confirm deliveries and we don't talk back with the sales department.

The entire conversation was HORRIBLE and was completely unacceptable from a customer service and customer experience perspective and he was unwilling to work and accommodate what John ** had stated and confirmed in his email. He was arrogant, rude, and it's almost as if "regular customers" who aren't celebrities/athletes or extremely wealthy people, they don't want to work with you! They are HORRIBLE and need to be re-trained and should have better service! I WILL NEVER EVER consider them again and WOULD NOT recommend ANYONE use this HORRIBLE COMPANY WHO DON'T FOLLOW-THROUGH WITH THEIR COMMITMENTS!

Three movers came to the apartment to be moved but was told that they did not have the necessary boxes and supplies to make the move. The head driver took the truck to go back to the establishment to pick up the supplies, gone most of the morning. Two remaining workers did some packing and moved boxes to the apartment garage that could not be loaded directly to the truck. Packers did not finish one room at a time but threw things randomly into boxes with no identification what was in the boxes.

Contract called for shrink wrapping and quilts to protect furniture, leaving marks on the wooden arms of the living room furniture. Trying to unpack this mess is almost impossible since the boxes are unidentified and could not be moved to the appropriate room. Spent hours to unpack one box that had kitchen dishes and glasses. Several insignificant glasses were stuffed with wrapping paper double triple wrapped with wrapping paper and bound by several wraps of wrapping tape. You could have dropped these glasses out of an airplane with no damage, had to cut these apart to even unwrap them. The moving event was a disaster from every aspect. Company should discontinue services until these issues are resolved. Poor moving company. Wish I had never used them.

When I spoke with Steve in Baton Rouge, he indicated that their fees are $119 an hour to pack and unload your belongings. Additionally there is a $119 an hour for round trip travel. Here is the kicker folks. What they actually charge you is $119 an hour for the employees (loading, travel, unloading), plus $119 an hour for the round trip travel time for the truck, and if that wasn't enough they tack on an additional 10% fuel surcharge. So basically folks you're double charged during the travel time and it's amazing $119 an hour doesn't cover the fuel.

I'm still not sure how they arrived at the materials charge of $53. They used less than 1 roll of tape and plastic wrapped one piece of furniture. On top of it all they damaged some of my furniture with tie straps on the truck and dropped another piece in the driveway. This was a terrible moving company. They will use the fact that their movers own some of the business as a selling point but that simply isn't the case. Must be just made up. The mover that appeared to be the supervisor told me that if I put a tip for the movers on my credit card that the company just keeps them. His exact words were: "You know the rich get richer and the poor get poorer" which didn't make sense at all. But when I presented this information to that sales and other management it wasn't denied at all! They broke items, they scratched furniture, they placed boxes of dishes upside down in my kitchen.

I had missing items that could have been found and returned but they didn't take the time. But I would have gotten over all of this if they even acted like they cared at all. But they did not even a return phone call to apologize. I had a piece missing from a shoe holder and called to tell the driver before they were even back to their office. He told me they would search the moving blankets and get back to me. Never heard another word! They have you pay online and show the info when the truck is just unloaded.

They don't show you any detail of the invoice. They also have you complete their survey BEFORE you have a chance to find all the damages. They do not let you do a survey afterwards. It isn't available at all on their website. They said they would email me the receipt but didn't until I asked for it. They had charged me $156 for 15 boxes and a six pack of tape. I packed all of my own boxes, they didn't pack one box for me!!! I could go on and on but I will stop. I see the others reviews now and relate to most of them. Wish I'd found this site prior to booking our move with All My Sons (Kansas City). To get an accurate quote I even had an employee of AMS come to our old address and walk through every room. We paid for packing and moving services, approximately $3,000 including tips. They scheduled it all to be done in one day. The three young men arrived at 9:45am on Friday morning and seemed to have no idea that they were scheduled to pack out 1,400 sqft home. While they were nice enough, they were extremely lazy and unfocused. They did not appear to have any formal training. There are no words to describe how unorganized they were. All three just walked around, grabbing items, and throwing them into boxes. They did not work one room to completion and move on to the next. The packing process took 7 hours and the unloading approximately 4 hours. It would have taken longer if we hadn't been there to spur them along.

When we unpacked in the new place there was no way of telling what was in each box. For example, the kitchen utensils were packed with DVDs and gardening tools. The laundry detergent was thrown into a box upside down without sealing the cap so it poured into the box. The did not wrap our beds or sofas or tables. I watched as they dragged the mattress across the dirty moving truck and tore a corner of its fabric. A tennis ball was wrapped and placed in a box while the crystal vases were simply shoved into boxes without any protection. There is no conceivable way these people were trained in professional moving and packing.

It was absolutely horrible and we are still missing items. Please keep in mind our new house was less than one mile away from our old house...how are things missing?? We assume they were stolen or broken and thrown out because the movers made an unexpected stop at a gas station on the way to our new house. Definitely do NOT RECOMMEND this company.

I would like to give 0 stars but that is not an option. Spoke to company contacts twice prior to move. Gave them complete details on the home size, etc. A 3-men crew arrived, looked at what I needed to move, and said this was a five-man job. I told them I was OK with more men and an additional truck. The first crew fought between each other for the first hour. I called the supervisor and he said he would take care of it asking for descriptions of each individual. 2 hours later a second crew arrived to "help" unload.

Several hours later the first truck was full and headed to my new home. Several of the employees ask what I was going to do about the remainder of my items which was probably 2/3 of my items. I thought that I had hired a team that would take care of all my moving needs. 3 of the employees offered services on their time. Long story short... I was left with a bill and 2/3 of my home still there. I am a Senior woman on my own and try to do as much as I can. I feel this company took advantage of this. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. Company is not a term they should ever use. Sent To BBB, BBB of SC, ConsumerAffairs, and any other source that I can speak to.

On May 27th I had the following company All My Sons Moving to come and move my sister from a rental house to a townhouse. The previous week I had contacted the company to get a quote. They quoted me $550 but in the end the total was $842.40. Needless to say I knew I was getting a "quote" but I never imagined for what little items they moved we would be charged this much.

First, I was given a moving time of mid-morning early afternoon. I drove from Greenville to Spartanburg to meet the movers and I waited from 10 AM till 2 PM. I called the Simpsonville office at noon to ask when the movers were coming and the guy said, "Soon." They showed up at 2 PM and finished at 6 PM. The only heavy item we had to move was a piano. The guys padded and wrapped everything although I said we didn't need it. It took an hour and an half to wrap a few items.

Once we arrived at the new location the driver had to call his person to get a quote in order to unload. I was quoted $920.24. Yes this was very high for what little we had to move. The 3 men they sent were already worn out from the previous move. They had to take lots of breaks and asked for me to refill their water bottles several times. I didn't mind but they are on my clock at this point. I'm paying. Once we were at the new location and I realized how expensive it was getting I stepped in and started unloading some items. Needless to say it wasn't anything heavy but I did move some items. The items that were already inside I was going ahead and unwrapping the plastic, and taking the blankets off of the furniture trying to buy me some time because if the movers had of done it, it would mean more time, more money. At the end I was helping to fold the blankets to put back on the truck because that is built into your time paying.

I have moved many times in my life and this is the first time I used this company and will certainly be the last. They are not careful with your items. They are not careful with your walls. I had several scratches on my hallway walls. When they arrived at the first place to move me they ran into a power line and snapped it. It fell to the ground. The driver having to call his supervisor to get a final rate took sometime which again I was paying for because the driver had no cell service. This was absolutely the worst moving experience I have ever had.

I usually read reviews before I use anyone and the only reviews I read were the ones directly on the website which were about half and half with positive and negatives. I found this website and wish I had of before I moved because after reading the reviews on this page I would have never of used this company. I was an emotional wreck by the time the move was over because it was so stressful. At the end the driver said it would be a total of $420 and we gave him that in cash. Today my sister finds where her credit card was charged $420. So we were charged twice.

I have called the office and stated my reason, and Bryan (could be spelled Brian) told me Fridays were busy and he needed to do some research, and he would call me back. I stated I understood that but this is my money we are talking about. It has been a couple of hours and no call back so I plan on calling him. This company is obviously making a lot of money by being dishonest and not giving good customer service at all. If I am quoted $550 and it ends up being $842 that to me is a huge difference. When I say we didn't have that much to move we really didn't.

Save yourself the trouble and please shop around. Do not use this company. It's not worth the headache and your wallet being robbed. If I had of read the reviews on this page first I would have never of used this company. I have read most of the reviews and the same complaints are what I experienced. Please take note of reviews and do NOT USE this company. You will be happy that you didn't. I hope this company makes some major changes or enough people might complain to where they will not be able to operate. Save your time, money, and sanity go with another moving company.

These movers came to my home in Hilton Head Island and dropped a very expensive antique dining table. They claimed that insurance would pay for it and left. The table was unrepairable or replaceable and had been in my family for 60 years. After multiple attempts to reach them they had me pay for a notarized statement of claim and then said they would send 90 dollars which was their maximum exposure. I am still waiting for the 90 dollars 6 months later! Watch what they make you sign as there is lots of fine print and lets them do whatever they want. Then they make you pay to make a claim! Ridiculous!

I called in to get a quote for my move, this was the only part of this process that went fast. Bryan **, Sales Manager was the person who assisted me. We discussed the items in my home and how I just wanted two men. He changed the rate to $99 for two men- two-hour minimum, plus $99 for driving to/from location, 12% fuel charge. I also sent him 2 email to confirm all was correct since he changed my quote to two men $99 rate per hour. He never responded and when I ask him about it he said he never received??? (I have copied the generic email from the Greenville location… Let’s see if he receives this email.)

I live alone and have basically two full bedrooms of furniture, living room and dining room, no appliances to move, no major heavy items (one heavy armoire)… They put padding tape and plastic wrap on every item… Even when I said it was not necessary. No one ever said I would be charged for tape and plastic… If that was required (however, I see nothing that’s states that). All it says in my email is the below in red…

"Based on everything that you've told me, I am going to have you hire us at an hourly basis. The time starts when we arrive at your current location and stops when the final piece of furniture is in place at your new home. It’s all based on an hourly rate of only $129.00. You’re receiving 3 full-time employees and one 26 foot truck to hold all your furniture. Keep in mind that the hourly rate is prorated into 15-minute intervals after the 2-hour minimum is met to save you as much as possible. Please note that any packing and unpacking labor is a part of the hourly rate. We just ask that you pay for any materials you use of ours, and if you prefer to supply your own, there will be no additional charge for materials. We do add 1 hour of transportation, that gives my men 30 minutes to get to your location & 30 minutes to get back to my warehouse after the job is complete! Also on top of the final bill we do charge 12% fuel."

The blue highlighted statement, reads to me that if any packing supplies were to be used there would be a charge… I didn’t use any of your supplies. Brian ** loaned me 3 wardrobe boxes that I picked up on Saturday 5/28 at the All My Sons shop. I told movers to take boxes with them as they were a loan. I discovered on 6/3 that one of the boxes was still at my home… I called Greenville location, spoke with Jeff, he said to just throw it away. The two guys that moved me were very nice and polite however, there should have been no reason my move should have taken 5 hours… That’s correct 5 hours!!! It took them over 3 hours to load everything from my old place into the truck… I was moving a mile away… And it took them 2 hours to unload. Padding, tapping and plastic wrapping EVERYTHING especially items that did not need to be. In addition, they were pretty slow… I REPEAT… 5 HOURS….NO reason for that.

I paid $812… This is the worst moving experience I have ever had. I will NEVER use your company again and I will discourage others from using ANY All My Sons locations. The experience was horrible, the cost was outrageous (double what I was expecting). Also, I understand that fuel should be paid, and driving time should be considered, however a 12% fuel charge on the total bill makes NO sense at all… What does the fuel charges have to do with the hours of moving??? And why it should be in addition to a driving to/from shop (that charge was what the hourly moving is)… What does that have to do with the hourly rate??? Should it be a fuel charge OR a driving to/from charge? That would make more logical sense.

I personally think that the BBB should look into your overall practices, which I think are ripping customers off... Please also forward the link you told me about I want to send this the corporate office… I will be sending a copy and filing a complaint to the BBB. Thank you.
