Very, very careless and uncaring was our experience with their work. Dings in the walls and door jams from carrying items on their back through hallways and bedrooms. Our pedestal bed was re-assembled very poorly where none of the corners matched and nothing fit, mainly due to the fact they had no power tools with them at all! I had to get a neighbor to loan me proper tools to do their job for them! The headboard is 3 inches away from the pedestal part of the bed and cannot now be moved. They insisted on a large tip when I left ... what a joke! The whole company is a joke! We tried the process of being reimbursed for the damage to the house but the massive amount of paperwork and a hassle that they require is definitely not worth it! Never, never, never, use this company for anything!!!!

They don't care about your items. They don't do what the salesman tells you they are going to do to protect your belongings. Their employees destroyed items of mine because they didn't wrap them in a furniture pads and shrink wrapped before going on the truck, let alone tie things down so they don't move around the truck. This company is a joke and needs to be held responsible for their actions. They rip you off. Don't use this moving company. You will be sorry.

I've never wrote a review in my life; ever. But, I depend on the reviews of others to determine what services to purchase so I want to pay it forward. First and foremost, do NOT use All My Sons Moving. I don't care if they are the last resort! You'll come out better moving yourself. Now, on to my review. I called and scheduled a move with an office in the Hampton Roads area. BIG MISTAKE.
The movers showed up an hour late; no big deal. However, they were less than professional and some of them were sketchy. They load up the truck and off to Northern Virginia we go. They unload everything and damage not only my couch but a few other items. No big deal, I thought. Come to find out they made a pit stop at their "shop" and offloaded some of my items. Things I can't replace at all. Along with some paintings and other items that I will have a hard time replacing since they were from remote parts of Africa.
All in all, this was a bad experience and I want everyone to beware. Do yourself a favor: move your own things. Go rent a U-Haul or other truck and move everything yourself. Solicit help from friends and relatives and maybe even pay them to help you but you'll come out better doing it yourself. Moving is already stressful enough and All My Sons just makes the experience even worse. Oh yeah, don't worry about filing a claim. It's trash. Items that were invaluable are worth $100 to All My Sons. I didn't even bother getting it notarized and sent back in. Do not use them. Again, do not use them. And one more time for good measure: DO NOT USE ALL MY SONS MOVING!

The salesman did an outstanding job selling All My Sons as an expert company. Picked them because of their experience packing china. BIG MISTAKE. They were very late. They were not prepared to pack up a kitchen. I had to go buy boxes and bubble wrap. Ended up packing up the kitchen with my mom. They were really, really slow. The truck smelled like pot. While there were four people on the team, at no point did you see four people working. They had one roll of material to protect the carpet and laid it in the tiled kitchen. While that wasn't a big deal, the whole thing was comical.
They got lost and disappeared for several hours between leaving the old house and driving to the new apartment 40 miles away. They had never done an elevator move before. The whole thing took 11 hours for a fairly simple move. They took apart a dresser and mirror and never provided the screws needed to put it back together. One cabinet fell apart as soon as we touched it in the new apartment. Glass was broken. There seemed to be a complete disconnect between the dispatcher and the team. They were not prepared for the move and knew nothing about the area or the job (i.e., traffic, high rise building issues, urban parking issues, where to find the weigh station, how to efficiently deal with the paperwork and payment). I feel like a real moron for hiring this company.

I wish I would have checked these reviews out before we choose AMSM. Gave estimate of $300.00 and did not say they billed by the hour until dropping off the load. Also, they wouldn't unload until we paid but the job wasn't finished. The driver did not like being told anything and was rude and wouldn't look at you when you talked to him, especially when my wife tried to talk to him. He then started running in and out of the house throwing air punches as he loaded and unloaded and yes, he was pissed. I've moved many times and this was a complete joke. Look at all of the complaints, bait and switch, rude, miss date. Please don't use this company and if you do and have issues, please continue to voice concerns here. It could lead to something over time.

The men who moved us stole over $1000 in handguns, bullets, and other items. After filing a complaint the local authorities investigated the movers and found that all of them were convicted felons with ACTIVE WARRANTS. The company had not done a background check. DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS. We had to file with an attorney just to get the company to listen or investigate their workers.

My thousand dollar move went pretty well until I noticed my scratched furniture and broken planters. I told the guys about it, and both they and I took pictures. Then the nightmare began. I couldn't fill out a damage form on the spot - I had to call the company to get one. Three calls later, no form. I finally put a disputed payment on my credit card. THEN they sent the form. When replying to the dispute, they said they don't owe me anything. Great. Don't use these guys unless you don't have anything that can be scratched or broken, because they won't step up and take responsibility for breaking your stuff.

Hired this company to move 2 bedroom house... Dining room, living, and some garage items. Took 2 men 8 hours to load the truck... granted no boxes, we had everything packed. No TV, no lamps. Just furniture. I even called the company about how slow they were. Do not hire this company they charge by the hour and will milk it for as much as they can.

This moving bunch are a joke! Unfortunately, the joke was on me/us! They used every excuse NOT to pack up certain things. They don't pack up liquids, however, they don't pack up the items that CAN be packed within the cabinet that contain the liquids. I mean the whole cabinet! What I needed was a monitor, checking behind each drawer and cabinet, making sure they emptied each one. The worker of the Master Bathroom was ask to leave some items on top of the counter, I guess he heard, "Don't pack ANY of the three bathrooms." I got to my location and had no linens (towels, washrags, etc.). No box was clearly marked for the designated room. Furniture was just left in the middle of the rooms. I don't know how to stop complaining, the list is so long. I couldn't be more disappointed with this moving company, and myself for using them. THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN... THEY'RE A COMPLETE RIP-OFF!!!

They came a week before to pack up my kitchen items which I assumed would be professional and they used paper and put dishes together instead of separating them. All broke. I'm so glad I packed my own crystal and china. That's the only thing that was safe. They came the day of move to finish packing us up and my husband went out to go get these guys lunch while they were packing up his closet and forgotten that he kept cash in a wallet behind his socks. 600.00 stolen. When we moved to the new house and noticed the money was gone and they were still there we confronted them and said, "You guys figure it out amongst yourselves." No one came forward. Guilty for certain. It's a shame one guy ruined it for all that are honest. They were shady.
They moved my piano ok thank goodness to a separate location and then when they finally got to our home they literally just shoved all boxes in the kitchen amongst the appliances so that we couldn't even get in the kitchen. The garage was a nightmare. They left so many other items and boxes at the old house we had to go back 2-3 times to load up our own truck. The truck was too small for a 5,000 sq foot home. Called the owners did not want to take any responsibility of the poor services and thieves he hires. Someone should take ownership of hiring guys that are not criminals. We wasted our money, time, lost many items that broke - some decorative pieces I have had many years.

They pretty much bailed on me in the 9th hour on May 6th, 2017. I made reservations weeks prior to my move, I paid a $120 deposit, was told because I have an apartment move that it will be in the afternoon sometime probably between 2 and 4pm. I waited, and waited. @5pm I called and their exact words were "I'm trying to find a crew to come out and move you, I have a bunch of calls in" so apparently they did not have me actually scheduled. I gave it 'til 5:30, I called again, and still same "waiting to hear back from some crews, but not sure what time they will get to you, but I'm working on it for you." Well I think 2 hours after you're supposed to be there is a bad time to start working on it, how about 1-2 weeks prior that it's scheduled, not the same day.
So I'm thinking okay it's 5:30pm on a Saturday, and they "are trying" to find someone, they don't "have someone" so my move basically is a crap shoot at this point. I call another company at 6pm, they said they'll do it, I call back and ask All My Sons, "Can you confirm you have someone and a time." He said, "No I'm sorry." So of course I went with the other company. They are apparently not very good at scheduling, it's not a haircut, it's moving! Moving is so stressful as it is and then you do everything to get ready and find out you have no movers.
The other team from Total Moving Services got to me at 8pm, they moved me 'til about midnight in the rain, these poor guys were so tired, they were headed home for the night after a long day of work and their manager asked them if they could do one more, and they were nice enough to do it. All My Sons put me in a very bad spot. Ironically I went with them, even though they were much more expensive because they said "we are accredited with the state of GA"
And I was worried about movers not showing up on time, never did I think I would have to find new movers hours after they were already scheduled to be there. They wanted me to pay upfront, to confirm my commitment yet they couldn't hold up their end. I was so exhausted on Sunday that I still have to go back now and do my cleanup at the other place, and I have to pay an extra day of rent because All My Sons could not deliver on the commitment.
And of course sharing my nightmare experience at work the next day, one of our VPs and another employee shared with me that they too had nightmare experiences, the already stressful experience of moving 10x worse. I think the state of GA needs to rethink who they accredit themselves with. Thankfully they didn't fight me about my deposit. They really need to get their act together on their scheduling.
I do not recommend, there are other great movers out there, Bulldog, Silverline Mover and Big T I heard from reliable sources that are good. Total Moving did a good job and saved me when I was in a bind. When you are ready to move, there is so much planning that goes into it, whether it be an apartment or a house, you need people you can rely on, and All My Sons failed on that account.

I was told that my cost would be $514 for 2 hours labor and 1 hour of drive time. It took them 1 hr and 15 minutes to load and 45 minutes to unload. I paid $149 upfront so the balance should have been $365. I had to pay $680. They charged me $277 more than they quoted. These people lie about price. I advise everyone to use a different company.

Beware of this company. I am 100% disabled unable to bend over or walk a few feet. Heart condition and minor stroke. They came my home. Moved furniture. Did not wrap one of my book shelves. There was no damage. When it arrived my new home. It was badly damaged. They didn't assemble one bedroom set. Left my coffee table outside. Had to ask neighbor to bring in for me. Knowing I could not assemble the bed or pick up the coffee table due to my disabilities. I brought the damages of bookshelf to their attention. They said they took photos. I saw one of the workers enter my car through the bedroom window. I had a $400 pair of Ray Ban prescription sunglasses taken. When the company answered my complaint the workers had lied. Said I told them to leave. Not assemble the queen bed. Now if I have such a disability why would I ask them to leave if I cannot bend over to assemble?
They were disgruntled they did not receive the tip they thought they deserve. They said it was an insult. This is one very unscrupulous company that hires shady workers that lie and steal. Beware and do not employ this company for your move. They assume no responsibility for damages they cause. They take advantage of the disabled. Lock your vehicle.

I used All My Sons Moving Company out of Southwest Florida and I was completely unsatisfied! They had about 6 to 8 guys load all of our stuff and when they arrived at our home in Pace Florida there were only two guys to unload it! This took forever and they wanted to leave and come back and finish! Needless to say we did not get the boxes in their assigned rooms because there were only two guys to unload a packed 18 wheeler. Somehow our boxes were repacked (we packed our own boxes). So they went through every box!
There were numerous broken bent items on this move! My 55 inch big screen tv was packed in a tv box and they still smashed the left corner of the tv. The insurance they give you is a joke! We even packed pictures in a picture box and they were all scraped up! I would not recommend these guys unless you want your items bent, broken or damaged! They even scraped our doorways! Please find someone else to move your items because these guys are overworked and I believe that is one way some of the carelessness came about.

My daughter and I called several companies to arrange a move on March 25th. The scheduled move date was for the 26th. Brock quoted us 129 per hour and 129 to and from the shop drive time. Although he was Not the cheapest quote, he was a great salesman and sold us on the companies great reputation and background checks on employees. We agreed on the above price. Now mind you we were fully prepared for the move, 8 flat boxes we taped ourselves. 16 Plastic totes, lids fit tight. This was a 700 sq ft Apartment, and we were not moving the living room furniture. So they sent two movers. They moved 24 boxes. A small kit. Table and four chairs. One sleigh bed. (This took minimal disassembly.) One tv. One tv stand. One small dresser. Approx 12 pictures, prewrapped in plastic and a washer/dryer. Less the few pieces of furniture, the unload was just to the garage. Drive time from apartment to house 15 minutes.
My BILL WAS $840.00 dollars. To include insurance, surcharges and materials that weren't needed nor quoted. In other words they moved one bedroom, two pieces of furniture, no living room other than tv and stand. One dining which was a small table and four chairs. And a washer/dryer for 840.00. When we called Sunday to complain we were told we knew we were going to be charged 840 and were told all charges up front and that someone would call us yesterday 03/27/2017. No call. Can someone please call and adjust our bill. I have pictures of every item included in the 840 that I have sent twice to the local office and still no call.
I also want to say that when the two men arrived they immediately shove a iPad in your face and have quickly begin initialing and signing. I am absolutely sure that they will hide behind these documents claiming I read them and agreed to be overcharged. It doesn't change the fact that right is right and being unfair and overcharging is not okay. Also they have verbally admitted both movers and the man on the phone the day of the move that they were suppose to send three movers and they only sent two.

My stepdad hired this company to move him and my mom from a condo to a house that was 5 miles away. 3 bedrooms. They were supposed to send 4 people to the condo and then go to a storage unit with my stepdad. Scheduled to be there from 9-10; showed up at 11:30 with only 2 movers and a truck that was too small for all of their belongings (although they were told the size of the condo/storage unit, etc.). They claimed they didn't know about the storage unit. My mom and I went to new house, but I had to go home at 1:00.
I called my mom that evening; workers were still there and she was frazzled. I texted at about 10:00 that night, but didn't hear from her. I called her the next day (today) and she told me she was "in hell." The movers didn't leave until 11:30 pm!!! That's 12 hours!!! They chipped her brand new hardwood floors and then told her they were just going to leave the big boxes in the garage. What?!? My mom is 65 years old! If she could have lifted the boxes by herself, she wouldn't have hired movers. She told them to bring the boxes in the house. They begrudgingly did.
When I talked to her earlier, I heard my stepdad in the background. He wasn't yelling, but he wasn't far from it either. My mom told me he was on the phone with the moving company. They were being uncooperative. I don't know if they will discount their "by the hour" price, but I don't even care at this point. A company who takes advantage or my 65 year old mom and her husband deserves less than one star. DO NOT HIRE!

This is the worst moving company I have ever dealt with and I have moved 3 times in 5 years. The men are so busy talking they do not come in and start working. If you respond to them, they will stop doing whatever they were doing and stand and talk for so long, you literally want to blow your brains out. Two of the men wrap and move things out and the other 2 stand out by the truck loading. They could have moved me in much less time if all four had been concentrating on getting the items out of the house and out to the truck.
When they arrived at our destination 1.2 miles away, I might add, they immediately said they could not unload the truck until they were paid. Well, that made no sense to me, because we didn't know how many more hours it would take to unload. They called the "boss", and he estimated how long it would take them to unload and wrote the bill for his estimate, which I knew was a ridiculous number of hours to unload the truck. We were given the explanation, we would be refunded the overage by Monday, our move was on a Saturday. I checked my account Monday, Tuesday, Wed, and on and on. I called 13 days later to ask about the refund, and the man I talked to acted like he didn't know they owed me a refund and had never seen the paperwork. After he looked at the paperwork, he told me one amount, and that the refund would be processed that day before the end of business.
Once again I checked my bank account day after day and no refund showed up. I then sent an email to all the names on the original contract and received a reply that it had indeed been sent on that same day I was told, with a screen shot of his ordered refund. That is not an actual receipt for a credit sent to my account. Anyone dealing with accounts can type in anything and then send a screen shot. Also at the last of the bill they tacked on a fuel charge, which no other mover I have ever used did that for an in-town move.
Also the men repeatedly told us how they don't make overtime and they have to work sometimes to midnight, and how they don't get paid well, hinting for big tips without actually saying the words. They are going to try to get you to go online before they leave and give them a commendation while they are standing there, don't do it!!! It's blackmail just like them holding your things on the truck until you overpay them before they will unload. My advice is if you live in Knoxville stay with the tried and true companies.

Worst moving company EVER!!! Appointment at 9 am. Called at 7 am and wanted to come then. I explained we weren't quite ready sooo they show up late! I assumed that since I was never emailed my contract they would bring my copy with them - NOT. The man stood there acting angry that we just didn't sign it without reading it and answered every question we had (about the additional costs no one had told us about) with this gem: "We are just here to move your stuff we don't know nothing about any of that." So I called customer service and was told they were typical charges and they would email my contract right away and he would personally speak with the lead mover concerning his attitude with us. The packing and loading didn't go that badly even though we had to tell them repeatedly that "yes that was going also" on several items.
He came to me about a loose chair leg and loose lamp base. I acknowledged that those items were that way. When we arrived at the new home I spent 20 minutes walking with him through the home at his request to show where this should go. That was stunningly useless! I left them alone for 15 minutes and found that furniture and boxes had been put in the completely wrong rooms. They kept bringing in furniture that was going to be in the way of bigger pieces when they brought them in but when I said anything they would just ignore me and speak to each other in another language. One man asked me where this big box went so I said right on that shelf in front of you so he set it on the ground RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE SHELF.
So now the fun stuff - the DAMAGE. They tried to get my California king bed frame up 2 sets of stairs and around a corner WITHOUT taking it apart. They busted a hole in the wall and my Oak frame is completely scratched up and damaged. Once they did take my bed frame apart we found out after they left that they left 3 pieces of wood outside in the yard with huge nails sticking up. I told them they could remove them and not put them back on but to leave them where anyone could walk on them - really people?! They dropped the top part of my Armoire on top of the bottom busting a corner off of the top piece. I have a $6,000.00 bedroom set that they just decided it was OK to TRASH. They bent a handle on my dresser horribly.
Instead of taking the doors off of my Double door refrigerator (which I asked them to do twice) they just shoved it through the back door and gouged the handles (white) with black from the door frame and the doors are now sitting uneven and not sealing properly. My grandsons captains bed is literally falling apart now after they "put" it back together - parts of frame separated, drawers won't go in and middle door hangs open and will not shut. One man dragged my Extra Large La-Z-Boy recliner across the tile floor slamming it up and down to move it. After they left we realized that he tore off one of the nails on the bottom frame. How did we realize this? My grandson stepped on it and it went ALL THE WAY INTO THE BOTTOM OF HIS FOOT! They broke glasses, pictures and other things that we were trying to pack as they were moving items, kicked an ashtray on the floor over and left it and the mess.
They pulled apart pieces of furniture that I specifically told him were not to be taken apart. I was quoted at $758.00 dollars for the move which turned into almost $1,300.00. They left garbage and pieces of packing tape every in both homes that we had to clean up. Also the packing tape I had to pay for of which I am now the proud owner of 7 rolls that they left at the first house. Lazy, rude, unskilled, are just a few of the words I have for the moving crew. I have also spoken to customer service who has made it quite clear they could care less about us. I still have never received my "contract" or moving inventory list. I have lived in Cape Coral for 20 years and work at a job where I know and talk to many people and I will tell every single person I ever meet to NEVER use this company.

I was given a time when the movers would show up and they were over an hour late. As they were loading the truck two of the movers asked for tips. Tacky!!! One of the movers had headphones on the whole time, listening to music and didn't respond or care when I would say something to him. Never removed his headphones. Before they would unload I had to pay. When I said, "That wasn't how things worked," one of them called the "boss" and then instructed me they would not unload until I paid. I had no choice, they were holding all of my things hostage. I was told before I even hired them that they would assemble everything that needed to be assembled and all they did was put my bed and my patio table together. When they assembled my bed they leaned the headboard against the wall and put the mattress and box springs on the frame. I had to finish the assembly.
They didn't listen to most of my instructions on where to put things and most of the things ended up in my shed. I still haven't found a lot of my kitchen supplies. They put a box full of tools right inside the shed and in front of everything after I asked them to put all the boxes on one side of the shed and the loose things on the other side so I could get to everything. As I said they didn't do as I asked. If they had done as I was told they would do I would have everything I need in the house and not in the shed.
As they were leaving, I asked them to take the mattress boxes and they said they wouldn't take my trash, I was responsible for removing it but if I wanted to make it "worth their while" meaning more money then they would take the boxes. I said, "No" and then the guy with the headphones proceeded to throw their trash out of the truck and put it with the mattress boxes I had to take care of. I told them to load that trash back on their truck and got a smart remark back. There is so much wrong with this company and the people they hire, I can't even begin to add everything up. I am not happy with All My Sons Moving and I can't express enough not to use them for your moving needs. They are awful, very unprofessional and way overpriced.

I hired them to move my one bedroom apartment to a storage unit one mile from my place. They showed up 2 hours late. They moved very slowly, and I would find them taking 15 minutes to tie down an item in the truck, trying to run up the time! They were in no hurry to get the job done, and one of the movers stood around most of the time, and never came into the apartment to get anything moved unless the other one came with him.
The owner told me it would be between $350-$450 on the high side to get the job done! This job turned out to be a 4.5 hour job, and the charge was $567.00. I refused to pay the amount, and told him the job could have been done in 3 hours max, but the movers dragged it out, taking as much time as possible. I finally got him down to $450.00 which was still very expensive for the move!
Run from this company, and their business tactics!!! The men who did the work were polite, but one was lazy, and dragging the time out to get paid more! Get a flat rate from a mover, not a flexible quote, depending on how much they want to make. He told me, "If you can't afford to hire a mover, then why didn't just move it yourself?" I told him, "I am 66 years old, and I asked you how much you told me it would be and I am not paying one cent over the highest price you gave me!"

Terrible moving experience! An estimator was sent to evaluate the size and cost of the move. A one truck, one price, one day move turned into a three truck, two day, very expensive move. Felt like a bait-and-switch routine. The estimator assured us that the crew would arrive early and stay until the move was complete. They arrived late and left early. We were assured that they would wrap and package delicate furniture. That was not the case. Several items were damaged. The door was ripped off of one piece of furniture and they neglected to inform us about it. After 3 trucks and 2 days, I still had to complete the move myself. It took 3 truck loads and a late night to finish the move.
Upon arrival at the new house, they scraped up my wooden floors, gashed and scraped freshly painted stairway walls and ceilings. They did not put my dining room table back together and left items in downstairs that needed to be upstairs. Once again the move was not complete. We had to hire additional people to come and help us complete the move. The upper management was not much help and never inspected the damage done to our home and furniture and were indifferent to the fact that our furniture was not put back together. We filed a claim and the claim process was painful. They never return phone calls and we still have not come to what I consider a fair agreement. The company takes no ownership for the poor treatment of their customers. It was a nightmare!!!

Absolutely horrible experience! Most unprofessional behavior by any service company I've ever encountered. COMPANY was unable to tell me why the moves were late or when they would arrive. When they arrived Juan was rude from the start. First thing they did was to demand we sign a form stating the furniture was delivered and undamaged. This was before they even started. Juan said they would leave if we didn't sign it. After wasting quite a bit of time which I ended up paying for the company told Juan we didn't need to sign until after furniture was moved.
Upon arrival at destination before they would start unloading Juan demanded payment in full plus an estimated charge for two hours to return to their shop which was 30 minutes away. I was supposed to be refunded for the extra time but that didn't happen. I gave into this ridiculous surprise demand because they were stressing out my 82 year old mom. They also again demanded we sign a form stating the furniture was all delivered without damage before they would start unloading. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!

DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY!!! I called them a week before my move and asked for a quote to move my 3 bedroom house. They quoted me 4 movers and a 26 foot truck for 2 hours for 253.30 an hour to load the truck. They then said there would be an overnight charge of 125 to store the truck at their warehouse. The next day they were to come out to my new house and deliver my stuff for 2 hours at 253.30 for 4 movers.
The movers showed up at 12:20 on Thursday to move my stuff. No advanced notice, no call. I showed them through the house what was to be moved (everything, all boxed, all broke down) and what was priority (the heavy stuff first). The lead mover then went over the paperwork with me and wrote down his start time as 12:15. They then backed in the truck, unloaded their stuff and walked around the house. Throughout the first hour they moved a minimal amount of boxes and made many trips up and down the stairs empty handed. 2 guys did most of the work.
Towards the end of the second hour they had most of the items brought down from the second floor. By the end of the third hour they had 75% of the house packed, but still had not packed the gun safe (As promised, discussed, and agreed upon) and chairs and a few other large items. Their fleet manager called and said that the truck/crew was needed back at the company.
The lead mover then had me go over paperwork at 2:50. The movers stopped moving. The lead mover called his manager and then wrote down 3:15 as the stop time. He was discussing drive time with his manager. He crossed out the 3:15 and wrote in 4:15. I said, "you moved me for 3 hours, one hour over what was agreed and you are leaving me here with 25% of my stuff still in my house and you haven't put the gun safe or the grandfather clock on the truck as agreed upon". He quickly signaled his team to move the safe and the clock and then informed me that I was being charged an extra hour for drive time. DRIVE TIME AT @ 224.95 an hour! THIS WAS NEVER MENTIONED TO ME OR AGREED UPON! They finished loading at 3 and left me with a job unfinished that I had to rent a uhaul to move.
I immediately called to complain. I was told by Allen (the 4th person I've talked to now) that I should never have been charged for drive time. He told me that I wasn't being charged for drive time, I was being charged for the 4 hour minimum on Saturdays as per company prices. I then informed him that it was Thursday. He corrected himself and said that the extra hour was wrong. I then asked him if he would credit me with an hour on delivery. He said yes.
The next morning there was a hang up on my end with my house not closing on time. I had made them aware that this would be a possibility. I called them as soon as they opened and asked them what my options were to store my stuff. I was quoted at $1400 to store my stuff for two nights! "We will have to unload your truck into our 8 vaults and then reload your stuff to bring it out to you for delivery. You will be then charged for unload at your house on top of that." I said that this was not an option and that I would rent my own storage unit and have them unload the truck there. Alan said that is just fine and that it should take their guys an hour to an hour and a half to unload the truck into the unit. I booked a storage unit (free for the first month) and had them meet me there at 12:45.
The same crew brought the truck out minus one guy (3 total movers this time). I was told that because there was only 3 guys the hourly rate was reduced to 175.80. The lead mover put the start time at 11:45. I said, your clock is off, it is 12:45. He told me I was being charged an hour for the drive time! This was not agreed upon. After the first hour, half the truck was left to unload. One of the movers then stopped moving and started removing tape from the moving blankets and folding up all the blankets. This took him over 20 minutes and while he stopped, so did the second mover. I recorded this on video.
At the two hour mark the lead mover brought paper work over for me to sign and pay for the move. I told him that I do not want to pay for this move until the job is finished. You were supposed to have this truck unloaded in an hour and a half and now it is two hours and still 25% of the truck left to finish. He called his manager and the manager called me. He told me that he told his movers to freeze the truck and close down the move until I payed. He strong armed me into paying up front and held my possessions hostage. He then yelled at me, "I do not have time to argue with you" to which I hung up and told the movers to get my stuff off the truck. I signed their paperwork with the lead mover putting down 3.25 hours as the total for this unload!
This company is sneaky, preys on people who are in a bind, and will hold your possessions ransom until you pay. You will never deal with the same person even when you request it. They will lie to you, make up prices as they go, add on fees as they feel fit and never put anything into writing. Never choose All My Sons as a moving company. WATCH what you sign. This company has you as a customer sign a form saying that if they provide any claims to you that you will not complain or otherwise tell others how poor they were. Fortunately I did not myself sign that form. Someone else did. Who would believe you would have to go through such a process? We were mislead by their nice sales people in several ways. They promised the movers would be well trained and would package (cushion) our items well. They promised that our items would be protected in the move. One man started work that day and I don’t think he had 1 minute’s worth of training. One mover literally wrapped individual paper books! Remember you are paying by the hour! I wish I’d known what he was doing.
One time I found the whole crew of 6 taking a break on the side of the truck where they couldn’t be seen. One time I saw a whole crew of 6 watching 2 men wrap our piano. I did not agree to pay men to observe other men working. Then one guy put ornamental ceramics, my computer printer and other delicate items, with NO cushioning whatsoever, in a large box. Damages did occur on this and many other items. They destroyed a nice antique table by splintering the wooden legs. They damaged my grand piano so the whole key set was no longer operable. It was probably inadequately cushioned on the bottom of the truck so when it hit bumps it was jarred and damaged. Yes they offer a claims process. Their claims process is awful. Expect it to take a long, long time and then expect them to Low-ball you on your claim.
They also demanded we have our signature Notarized just to file the calm. That means you take their document to a Notary and PAY the notary to observe your signature and stamp the document. We did it once but then they wanted us to do it AGAIN on our acceptance form. I told them no. I said either waive their "requirement" for notarization or send a Notary to my house on my schedule and we'd sign/Notarize it for them. After a couple of weeks and several phone calls they finally decided they could waive this requirement. We made a list of $1800 in damages and they offered us $600. We said no. We went round and round with them on this. Go ahead and try to call their claims department. They won't call you back. We had to call them over and over again on this fiasco all through the process. (When you need moving services they will call you back pronto!!!)
Then we sent in the last acceptance form for the $1800 which they finally "accepted" to pay about Oct. 24. On Oct. 31 we have still not received a reply or a check so I contacted them. They said my check will be written on November 20. I suggest you find another moving company. Whoever you hire, WATCH what those guys are doing and save yourself some trouble. When they are wasting time doing something of no value to you then tell them to stop it. Better to stop them from damaging your things. You won’t like the claims process. I suspect most people just give up.

When I called All My Sons I was told they did not hire fly by night movers and all their employees are professional. I would get four movers instead of two. Great! The process was far from efficient. Three of them had just started and never moved furniture before. They would stand around talking about each other or the three new guys didn't know what to do and was looking for direction from the foreman who was more interested in talking than moving. My husband and I saw that they needed motivating so we jumped in to help move some of the smaller items. They just sat there and watched us! I have moved several time before using a different company (two men and a truck) which we will be hiring to finish the jobs these guys couldn't get done.
That company had only two drivers and got an entire house in a previous move completed in 4 hours! These four guys with all my sons had a half of a house to move and six hours later only 3/4 of it was done and it came with a busted desk, bedside table and ripped leather couch and loveseat. We stopped the move immediately and told them to go. The manager was far from sympathetic and just referred us to their claims department. So 1,000 later we are not moved and have furniture that cannot be used. If we wanted busted up furniture, we would have saved the money and moved ourselves. I researched moving companies very carefully for a full pack and move from Indiana to Maryland. I interviewed three different movers, as is often advised. I was completely taken in by the surveyor Joe **'s promises of how careful the packers and movers would be, how he would make sure I had the "best team" (he even gave me names), and how they would bring special materials to protect breakables (like artwork) and how the "same team" would follow me to Maryland to deliver. It all sounded great. Maybe even too good to be true! Long, painful story short: the movers arrived without any packing materials and no record that this would be a full pack, and two hours later when packing materials were finally trucked down from Indianapolis, the delivery did not include boxes for artwork or boxes for clothing.
So clothes were thrown helter-skelter into boxes (no wardrobe boxes, as promised), and artwork was wrapped in blankets, not bubble wrap and boxes!!! And the "same team" could not follow me to Maryland, as one of the guys had an ankle monitor that didn't allow him to leave the state, and the driver explained it's cheaper for the company to have him drive by himself, and then pick up two unknown guys in Maryland to finish the move. So many items were dropped and broken. Artwork had been framed with museum glass, etc. Broken glass was everywhere. Some of the artwork was just mysteriously "lost."
Given the damage to the artwork and my belongings, not to mention the hole in the wall in my new house the one Maryland guy put in it that needs to be refilled and painted by an expert, I filed a claim, as instructed. For what will cost me several thousand dollars to fix and replace, the company has just offered me---are you ready?---$184.80, and holds me to the promise that I will not "thereafter publish or otherwise make to any person or entity verbally or in writing, any negative or derogatory remarks about AMS or its employees."
Their form is also hilariously full of grammar mistakes. They had me fill out long, complicated forms describing the losses and damage, all for this ridiculous sum. There is no way I will accept this, nor can they "buy my silence" for a measly $184. I don't really care as much about the money as I do about the lost items that had not only monetary value exceeding thousands of dollars, but sentimental value, as well.
Joe **, the surveyor, who was so nice and full of promises and assurances (like having the movers put runners down on the floors so as not to leave a mess---naturally, there was a huge mess that I had to stay up all night cleaning before leaving the next day to drive, and the runners were cheap paper that just tripped them) never returned my calls, even the day of the move when I tried to tell him things weren't right. Moving is also stressful enough without this. The two men on the Maryland end were rude and nasty. From beginning to end, this was a terrible experience, and clearly they are not going to reimburse me any reasonable amount for any loss. I am heartbroken over all the damaged items and losses. There was artwork that is irretrievable. They had told me that if they packed the artwork, they would be responsible for it. Not so. I feel tricked and deceived. No one is taking responsibility. The buck just gets passed on.

The sales agent at this place initially told me that my move would take 4 to 6 hours maximum with two movers. She quoted $99 per mover. To save myself additional money, I took four loads on my own, in a van, the night before the move. This was a two bedroom one bath house with 1300 ft. The night before my move one of the owners called and highly recommended that I hire a third person bumping up the rate to $149 per worker. I asked why he was changing this the night before the move and he said he was only trying to "save me money". So I agreed to that. The next day the movers arrived and I was told that I had to pay an additional $100 for the movers to drive to my house and another $100 for them to drive the truck back to the shop.
There were three movers there, and I have never seen movers move so slowly and inefficiently. They had no supplies like straps and no tools to take my furniture apart and put it back together. It was obvious that they were not trained well and did not know what the heck they were doing. While two of the men wrapped furniture awkwardly, the other stood there watching. As they worked they moved very slowly, putting only one or two boxes on a handcart, or carrying one thing in their hand and leaving the other hand empty. I was moving very quickly along with them to help make things go faster, bringing things to the porch and to the edge of their truck. I am 43 years old and a woman and was moving twice as fast as they were getting twice as much done. I was so frustrated watching these guys work and thinking about my money flying out the window each minute that went by.
The guys ended up taking 7 hours to move me. They broke a lot of my furniture. I watched them drop wooden furniture on its corners and saw later that the furniture is cracked and the drawers will not shut because the furniture is misaligned. My Tempur-pedic mattress and box were not wrapped at all and the corners are worn off and filthy. These guys got on their cell phones and joked around, and one even ask me if he could have something I was leaving behind, and got on his cell phone to arrange for a friend of his to come and pick it up at my house. So unprofessional. The final nail in the coffin was when at the end of the move I saw the guys in their truck folding up all the blankets neatly and stacking them and getting everything strapped down for the next customer on my time and my dime! They spent about 20 minutes doing that.
I contacted the owner and tried to have an adult conversation with him and asked only for a partial refund. I only wanted my original estimated amount to be honored. He stated that I was being uptight and argued with me and was extremely rude and disrespectful. No refund. I actually felt sorry for the movers because they are not skilled and not trained and probably don't make very much money per hour. It was estimated that my move would cost about $700. In the end the total was $1140. I was sick about it. Do not give this company your business. They are a bait and switch company that only care about making money hand over first and do not respect their customers or their employees.

Mark ** the sales rep from All My Sons Moving, sold me a move that was an absolute disappointed from the start. When the team of 3 guys showed up the one immediately asked for payment. I opened my wallet to give him my credit card and one of the other movers asked me a question, so I turned for a second. Not realizing it till I went to tip them, he had stolen the $100.00 I had in my wallet, when approached he denied it.
On the delivery end, all my plastic bins were shattered with the contents strewn all over truck and road. Every and I do mean EVERY piece of furniture was damaged, scratched, marred, chipped etc. Even the cardboard boxes were ripped and smashed... I was not given a one hour window for delivery. I was called at 11:00 a.m. and told the trailer had been dropped off and I needed to get there immediately. Got there 15 minutes later and trailer was there but no movers. Movers were to arrive between 8-12 with a one hour ahead call.
When I called the local office in Raleigh, NC, Tyler told me they're on their way. By 12:30 I called again and he said between 1-3. Said they will call an hour ahead. 3:30 and still no movers. Spoke with the salesman who sold me the move and he said "What do you want me to do". Now I have no car and am stranded at the empty apartment. At 5:20, I get a call from a mover stating he will be here in 5 minutes. After 20 minutes 2 guys show up and it took them till 9:30 to finish. Again, everything damaged and ruined. Never ever use All My Sons Moving!!!

Movers stole son's medication. Personally loaded and unloaded medication for my car to new address. Next day found pills spilled in box and 11 pills missing. I'm 100% sure it was taken by one of the movers. No one else came in contact with the box but me and the movers. This medication is vital to my son's daily function so I'm very angry. I also filed a police report.

We used All My Sons Moving Company out of Smyrna, GA on September 24, 2016 to perform a local move. The move was approximately 30 yards down the street from a leased townhouse to an owned townhouse. The owned townhouse had recently been completely repainted and was mark free at the time of the move-in. The leased unit was in excellent condition with the walls also without marks. Movers showed up relatively on-time with three men for a three bedroom, three story townhouse with heavy furniture. It took the employees' considerable time to get started and it was approximately two hours before the first piece of furniture was moved and it was a disaster.
A large wardrobe was poorly wrapped and before we knew it, the movers had let it scrape the walls down to the first stair landing, then let it make a large dent in the wall at the next landing, as well as scratching the hard wood floor and proceeded to have a very difficult time moving it to the bottom level. On the last set of steps, the wardrobe broke in half scratching the furniture permanently. The movers were beside themselves and apologized numerous times. They placed the two pieces in the garage and took pictures after contacting their supervisor. I took pictures as well. I then told the movers they did not have enough help to make this move and there needed to be a fourth person. I called the supervisor to apprise him of the situation and requested a 4th person to assist. I asked the movers to continue but only move lighter furniture and they assured me this would not happen again.
An hour passed and no call from the supervisor. I called him back and he said the lead mover was supposed to tell me they could not find anyone to help. Unfortunately, we had to move out that weekend or face additional rent the following week. We realized at this point, these movers did not know what they were doing and the remaining heavy furniture would have to be moved by another moving company. We had paid upfront for eight hours of moving time and after three hours approximately four pieces of furniture had been moved. Four hours into the move, we received a call from the supervisor (John) indicating his lead mover had called him and said this move would need to add an additional four hours to the eight to complete. At this point, we were very unhappy with the movers and we told the supervisor to contact us at the eight hour finished time to see how close they were to finishing.
The move continued to go downhill from there as I told the lead mover to ensure at the eight hour mark the furniture they had dismantled was moved and reassembled before they moved any more furniture. They continued to move furniture and six hours into the move I repeated these instructions which the lead mover said he understood. The movers began moving a large dresser and once again hit and scraped walls moving the piece out of the lease unit. Moving the piece into the new unit was another disaster. Halfway up the steps, the movers got stuck and were totally helpless and exhausted. I watched them debate for several minutes how they were going to get out of this predicament. It quickly became a safety issue and we were at a point where I felt a call to the fire department was the next step.
Fortunately, a new furniture delivery showed up at this point. The two men on this truck knew what they were doing and stepped in to rescue the movers who, without the help of these two gentlemen, would have been in serious trouble. Unfortunately, the movers had already scraped and dented the wall and stair railing in the new townhouse significantly. They again apologized but at this point I'd had enough. With thirty minutes left in the prepaid move, they had not started putting the furniture back together as we had agreed to do. At exactly eight hours, the supervisor called and said he was going to start charging more money as the mover said they were not done. I told the supervisor these movers had caused over $1000 in wall, floor and furniture damage and his company had the guts to not provide 15 more minutes of time to put the furniture back together. He said, "No, that is what insurance is for" and "submit a claim".
In addition to the inexperience and lack of moving skills, the movers were highly unprofessional. The way they were dressed and their actions were unacceptable. I politely told the supervisor to have the movers leave and they did so without saying another word. I had to call another mover to finish the job and they came a couple of days later and did a great job with four men in just over two hours and were very efficient and knew what they were doing. We will never use All My Sons again.

Worst ever movers. I plan some Chicago justice in the near future, but these folks don't give a flip about doing a good job for the client. All they care about is taking your money and run. Please run away before ever giving them the opportunity to move you or a family member. Won't go into details of the horror cause honestly, most people wouldn't even believe it or think you are exaggerating.

This is by far the most horrible moving company I have ever dealt with. They are unprofessional, rude, and careless. They moved my in-laws a distance of 10 miles and managed to break several pieces of furniture. Most of which is completely beyond repair and many of those pieces were treasured antiques. All My Sons also managed to damage parts of my in-laws' old house (which they had already closed on), and they damaged several other household items. The crew arrived to the house without the required number of trucks and movers and without an adequate amount of materials to get the job done correctly. Because of that, their work was halfway done and careless at best. Furniture was not shrink wrapped. Expensive china plates were stacked on top of one another without anything in between. Lamps and shades were tossed in boxes without any padding.
To make matters worse, their attitudes were awful. They could have cared less about being there and doing a good job. At one point, a member of the crew started making hateful and rude comments to my in-laws' complaining about having to redo something that was done wrong to begin with. Absolutely unacceptable. Because the crew was so slow and did such a poor job, they were running very much behind schedule. Instead of finishing the job properly by unloading boxes and furniture to the proper rooms at the new house, they literally dumped everything in the front yard of my in-law's new house! Then, they left! We had to get the rest of it inside, furniture and everything, by ourselves.
There is so much wrong with this company. If I could give it a negative number of stars, I would. If you need movers, please run far away from this company. They will bring you nothing but heartache and frustration. The worst part is that they don't even care. They show it by how they act, how they do business, and how they treat their customers. They are apathetic and dismissive, and I am appalled that a company that is as large as All My Sons can be so terrible. Please use this review as a warning. If you are moving in the near future, don't chose this company.

Please be warned never use this company. On Monday Sept 19th I reserved a move with All My Sons for Sat Sept. 24. I ask about the time and they said they would get back with me. Friday Sept 23rd I had not heard anything about the time, therefore I called and was told they would be making the schedule later that day and would contact me. No one contacted me and hours had passed so I called them and was told by Jason that it would be between 1-3 pm Sat. About 2:55 pm Sat I called to get an ETA. They didn't have one but would contact me when they do. I called back again and Josh said he would check and I was told that there was an issue with the current move that was being done and that they would get to me between 7:00-8 pm. I advised him that I could not get into the storage after 9 pm. His suggestion was that they would keep my items locked in the truck at their facility and deliver to my unit Sunday morning.
About 7 pm the same Sat I get a call from the driver saying he could not make it. By this time I am in tears because I need to be off the property. After begging and pleading what do I do, the driver said he would come Sunday between 9-10 am and move me. At this point I am at All My Sons' mercy. They have my deposit and the office is closed for the day, I could not contact the Managers. Sunday I wait and still no mover. I called the company and spoke with Jason one of the managers that seems to know nothing about my ordeal and would get back with me. I called the driver's number and got no answer. I waited an hour and called the company back and was told by Jason he had things to deal first and will let me know. Again I'm in tears. My daughter called because she was tired of me crying. He said "I'll call you back I got your number." Around 3 pm Sunday I get a call from a driver saying he is on his way.
Please be reminded that all calls made were by me to the company Managers Jason & Josh. They didn't call me. I had to initiate all calls. Not once was there a follow-up as to my moving status. Once the movers arrived at approx 4 pm Sunday I contacted Jason the manager regarding the cost. My question to him was if there would be any compensation (after all I was scheduled for 3 pm Sat movers arrive 4 pm Sunday). His response was that I would not get a free move but $20 off the original rate (I never asked for a free move)...which to me was not good enough. I explained that I was to have 3 movers and you only sent 2, even with the reduction it still works out to the original amount more time used. I also explained that I didn't have a ride to the storage space because all my resources were for Sat. He tells me unless I can get a ride he can't move me and he will tell his guys not to load the truck.
He advises that he is doing me favor by finding to men to move me. But my move was scheduled for Sat which I was prepared for. He continues to tell me I'm dealing with the past..."you're right it's affecting my present". I called about the final charge to my credit card and found it different. Apparently there's 3% processing fee for credit card transaction. Ask for the document showing this he said he would remove it. I do not recommend this company to my worst enemy. This has been the worst experience of my life.

I contacted All My Sons movers for my 81 year old mother's move. I have used moving companies in the past in another state and never had a problem. I was quoted a price for her, was told how experienced the workers were, that they were all bonded and never hired inexperienced people. They showed up on time and the first thing they told my mother was "we accept tips". They started loading the truck and about 1 1/2 hour into the move I had to take my mother to the title company that was about a mile away to close on her home. I left my adult son and niece with the 2 movers. When the closing was completed we drove back to the house to find the truck gone and most of the garage still full. When we got to my mother's new house we found her almost new refrigerator in pieces and one of the workers having my son trying to help him put it back together.
I immediately called the company and ask for the manager. I was told that I was speaking to the manager. I told him what was going on and he stated what did I expect him to do. I stated I expected him to get some people at my mom's house that could do the job correctly. He then informed me that I had his 2 best employees. By this time my nerves were about shot. He stated he would call the workers on the phone and get their side of the story. He called me back about an hour later and ask how thing were going and I informed him we had to rent a U-Haul truck to go get what his workers had left. He then said "Well they said they only left trash." A total lie.
I suffer from ALS and can barely walk and must use a walker but my niece and I loaded a truck full of things that were not trash. When we got back to my mom's new house they were gone and my mother and son were having to put the beds together, not to mention the refrigerator still apart. This company should be shut down. I WILL TELL EVERYONE WHO CAN HEAR ME TO NEVER EVER USE THESE MOVERS.

In June of last year, I helped my mother and brother move to a new location within El Paso. We hired All My Sons Moving company. Although the movers themselves were friendly and hardworking, the company drastically underestimated how long the job would take (seeming almost to ignore a storage shed we had in the backyard) and because of this, the move ran overtime and we were charged accordingly. We finally paid in the early afternoon, they went on their way, and we spent until well after midnight finishing the move ourselves.
Once we were finally settled in, I was disheartened to find that they had badly scuffed my brother's computer desk and completely snapped an old, hand-carved walking stick of mine that I had brought back from overseas and owned for over 20 years. I was prepared to write these off, however, as every move has some inevitable damages. We were much more concerned to find that they had damaged a Chinese antique that had been in my mother's possession for decades and followed her over several continents. Though not completely ruined, there was a sizable chunk taken out of the front of the piece, the remains of which we later found on the floor.
We got in touch with All My Sons to report the damage and to look into being reimbursed. During a phone conversation, we were told that the first step would be to get the piece appraised for its actual value and then its current value with damages. We could then find a second individual to handle the repairs. We followed AMS's instructions, and when the matter was settled, the final cost, between appraisal, work, repairs and devaluation, was a little over $1300 dollars (about half of that being the devaluation).
We sent this itemized information to AMS, waited around, and eventually received a settlement offer of about $100. The representative pointed out that in the movers contract, damages could only be covered at a ratio of less than a dollar per every one hundred pounds of material moved. It's not at all clear how they knew what the poundage was if they didn't weigh anything to start with, and more to the point, why tell us to go through the process described above (involving several months work and a lot of lost money) if that had nothing to do with the damage payment?
They did not have a response to either of these matters. We were assured that the movers would be informed of the damages and held to a higher standard. We then responded that the movers did a reasonable job and that the damages could be chalked up to human error, but in refusing to cover them, or make any real attempt at customer satisfaction, the company itself seemed to be at fault, far more than a couple of young men stuck in the back of a moving van. We refused the payment on principle, and have nothing to show for our time and trouble. As a result, I would like to share this recommendation:
DO NOT HIRE ALL MY SONS MOVING COMPANY. If you have glossed over everything written above, just listen to that bit. Avoid these people. This is a bad company; not just bad at their jobs but completely unconcerned with the well being of their customers. Avoid them unless you wish to be in business with a company that has nothing better to do than break your stuff, give you the run-around, take advantage of old ladies, and then try to fob the blame off on their lowest employees, rather than addressing the problem at the highest office as they should.
Moving is never a pleasant experience, but I have never encountered a company so untrustworthy, unhelpful, and so casually destructive as AMS. All My Sons swindled us, and they did so with complete indifference. Nothing much can be done to retroactively change that. I'm sure some clever people will respond that they are completely within their legal rights, which is both true and completely unhelpful. However, if YOU don't want to be the one receiving such cold comfort for your damaged materials and mementos, why not stay away in the first place? If I can keep even one person or family from meeting the same abysmal treatment that we did, that might go some small way towards making up for this fiasco. You have a choice of movers. Please, choose anybody else.

I found this company to be the worst moving company I have ever experienced. I have moved for work purposes over 7 times in the last 15 years, including state to state and overseas. This was probably the simplest move of them all, but it was a disaster from start to finish. I can't list all the things that they broke or damaged. Initially they admitted to it (since I witnessed it happening), called it in and agreed to reimburse me for it.
After I paid, I received a call from them explaining that they didn't do it and refused to take accountability. The workers then lied to their manager, right in front of me, saying they had no idea what happened. The manager told me it was my word against theirs. They all denied it happened and left. I got the sense that a few of the workers had never moved anything before. Glass broken, furniture broken and no responsibility taken. Disgraceful and shockingly rude customer service. My only recourse is to warn other people of this business.

They lied about everything: their company, their services, their moving situation specific agreement with me, the time of money due, and the amount for the job. I believe I was scammed and have subsequently learned (from inside sources) that my experience is common, if not the norm. I contacted them through a free moving quote online. When they replied online, it was a generic email stating they were local, independently owned, take pride in service, are careful, etc. All movers were owners in the company and had a stake in excellent service since it was their company. I later confirmed this was false information.
I wanted a specifically “high end quote” to prepare financially. After explaining my situation, logistics, and what I needed in a moving service on a couple extensive phone calls, Greg ** quoted me a "very high quote" and told it was most likely going to be lower. However, I wanted the highest quote to make sure I had money available. I spoke extensively on the phone and via email that they could perform the move without damaging my property and in the time frame I needed. Greg ** was my only contact person and aside from the two movers who came and actually moved me. He agreed the high end figure was $500. He wanted a $99 deposit, which I paid, to be credited to my bill. He also agreed to move the 2 bedroom apartment (first floor) 7.3 miles (11 minutes) to another 2 bedroom apartment (first floor).
They arrived earlier than Greg agreed, even though I told him several times I would not be home until 9.30 am. Therefore, they started the clock before I arrived. They didn't even have my apartment number at either address, although I gave it to Greg a few times. I verified it was not on the paperwork the employees were given. I had dismantled my washer and dryer; had everything packed, labeled, and moved into a central location next to the door; broke down my couch and recliner; and broke down all beds and had rods and rails secure. The only thing they had to do was physically pick things up, wrap furniture, and move my possessions.
I had to initial a paper "stating they were there and started at the time they stated they started" (15 minutes earlier than I told them I would be at home) and sign "giving them permission to move" or they couldn't move me. It was one sheet of paper- not a contract. I was not given a chance to read. It took 3 hours to move prepared items onto a truck, twice the amount of time previous moving companies had taken with the same possessions. I provided them with water and fruit for a snack on their drive, but they wanted to “stop for a Gatorade” on the way to the other apartment. I agreed it was reasonable that they could buy a drink on the way. It took them an hour to get from door to door. They didn't tell me they didn't have my apartment number to the new place and Greg didn't provide them with my complete destination address on their paperwork or via phone.
When they arrived, they demanded payment to get my things off of the truck. I was shocked and said I would pay at the end after "their clock stopped" per my agreement. I was told they were given orders not to unload until they received 703.63, paid in full. They said if they charged more than the time it took them to unload, they would issue me a refund. The movers added they felt bad, but they were doing their job and that most customers are shocked that they have to pay more. Their items are held until payment. I called Greg. He argued and said I had to pay if I wanted my possessions, he denied any agreement with me, and ultimately yelled at me. I paid so I wouldn't lose everything we owned.
The bill was 203.63 from the quote I was given for the move “if they had to” break down the beds, assemble them, not be careless and damage furniture and boxes including nearly ALL of my furniture, and follow our agreement (the reason I hired them), charging me at the end of the move, and placing the furniture in the proper place. They ran my card through a tablet and asked for a signature. The only screen I was shown was a line to sign. When I paid, I received computer generated receipt- printed the date of my move (prior to moving and my initials/signature) that I had NEVER be provided with or seen with the original form.
I showed them an oil spot to avoid in the parking lot so they wouldn't track it into the apartment (they ignored me and got oil all over the carpet). I showed them where the furniture and labeled boxes would go and instructed them not to assemble the beds or washer/dryer (I would do all of that). Greg previously agreed they would place the furniture in the designated places (that did not happen).
I was told unloading was faster than loading, but they took so long, Greg called and instructed them to dump the remainder of my possessions (about half) into the parking lot (not the apartment). FORTUNATELY, because I had no money to hire another moving company and couldn’t move furniture on my own (why I hired movers), the movers “worked off of the clock” because they “felt so bad for me.” After having some time to think about the matter, if I could do it over, I would have called the police to charge them with theft of my property when they seized my property and held it hostage.

I hired All My Sons movers to move me from Montgomery, Texas into Houston, Tx. Initially I was going with another moving company who gave me a better hourly rate quote $129 per hour. Anyway, then they call me just before 7am stating they'd be to my home in 30-45min. That turned out to mean 2 hrs because they arrived just before 9 because they could not locate the residence. Although I continued explaining to the leader who was driving but he did not listen well. So they get there, he asks me to show him around the house to see all I need moved. After doing so he says he's gonna give me down time once we get loaded because he needs to run by the bank. I told him that's fine because on the way out I need him to drop a gas grill at my mother's on the way. We both agreed. They wrapped everything and loaded them up neatly. After loading the driver reminded me that he'd have to go to the bank and left.
Once I made it to my mom's house they arrived 40 minutes afterwards and we left for my Houston destination. Once they began offloading I was packing my clothes to my apt (which was 300-500 feet away from where we were) and he said "I could use the 4 wheel dolly and big box to make it easier for me." I said thanks and he said "Man, luckily I stopped by my shop to grab more dollies or we'd be in trouble". Keep in mind that he told me he was going to the bank. After finishing the move he asked if I had anything more for them to do so I told him to take my tv off the stand so I can get my drill to put take the brackets off of it and put them onto another tv that I wanted on that stand. It was after their cutoff time and I didn't want to pay any more money after paying $915 already. I told him "No I'll take care of it." He said "I have my drill here. I'll do it. No problem" further insisting on doing this although it was after their cutoff.
At the time I thought it was nice of him. Later after unpacking everything I noticed the red and black bag (very nice bag made by klein tools) I watched 1 of the helpers carry onto the truck was missing. That bag had all my drill/screw bits, charger for my drill, remote controls for 2 tv's and the assembly screws for my bed, mirror dresser and tv wall mounts in it. Now it's clear why the driver continued to insist on using his drill (after their cutoff) instead of me possibly noticing my items were missing. I called and spoke with Sam (at the Spring location) and informed him that my bag that I saw go on the truck did not come off. He said he'd check into it and get back with me. He did, but when he did he said there was nothing on the truck and his driver and helpers said they didn't see the bag but I saw the 1 helper carry it out and onto the truck on top of a larger box.
Sam asked me to search more and get back with him. I did and told him I saw it go on the truck and described which helper put it on but he only said he'd get back with me if anything turns up. I now know the driver stopped either during the 40 minutes he supposedly went to the bank but ended up saying he went to his shop later. Or they stopped before getting back to the yard at the end of the day. Word of advice that I should have known better than to do is NEVER let a mover go anywhere with your items without being supervised by yourself. Also, make certain you inspect their trucks yourself prior to allowing them to leave.

Where to begin? We were moving from Summerville SC to Murphy NC, which is way up in the mountains of Western NC. The man came out to give me the estimate, after a brief chat, he asked me what I was looking to spend. The oldest trick in the book that one is. If I had said $3000, you can bet your ** it would have been damn near that. Lol. Anyway. For a 3 bedroom house going point to point and them only loading and unloading, they quoted me $2800. That was a fair enough price based of previous moves we had done with what we were taking. I gave them a deposit and secured our date.
Moving day comes and a crew of 4 show up. They were very polite and in uniform and seemed knowledgeable about their job. They came with their biggest truck and I had told them that it would be a tight fit before they arrived. But the estimator ASSURED me they would get it all on. WRONG!! Thanks God I decided to get a 12ft U-Haul trailer to pull behind my PU or we would have never got it all in! They also managed to break 3 pieces of glass shelving before they even left. No biggie an easy fix.
Two days later on the agreed date, they show up to unload. Now keep in mind here, we were moving into a mountain community with a gravel road. I explained this to the estimator (who knew jack ** about moving) and implored him to watch the video I had made to show him it was over a mile up a steep winding road. Again. He assures me that his men are skilled in ALL conditions. OK... If you say so! Also let me back up.
The 1st major SNAFU occurred 20 miles outside of Summerville. The truck was 200lbs overweight and they had to RENT a Ryder truck to take the overflow off the 1st truck, so it would be legal at the scales. I go meet them and they follow me up the road. The moving truck got stuck twice but he managed to get it to my driveway. My driveway is 150 yards of concrete that is on a 6% grade! The driver said he can't make it up but he'll try. He tried backing up and gets halfway up. Great I think. Nope. he goes back down and then can't get back up! Solution?? Park the truck on the gravel road and use MY ** pickup to shuttle EVERY single solitary thing up to my house. Needless to say I wasn't happy at all. We began at 9:30 in the morning, and they finished at 11:00 pm that night! The movers were pissed (rightfully so) as they explained that the estimator was an idiot who does this type of thing on EVERY move he estimates!!
Now the fun stuff. Around 6:00pm, Tony (the lead guy and driver) says he would like to settle up before he can't reach anyone for CC confirmation. OK I think, we're 3/4's of the way done, why not? He comes to me with the bill and I look and my jaw hits the floor. It's for almost $6000!!! I was like WTF is this? Tony begins to explain that the charges are for the 2nd truck, and hours for rescuing my load at the scale and storing our stuff for two days (which sat in the Ryder truck who knows where?) fuel and some other overage BS nonsense. I ask him if he's for real and to get someone on the phone right away. He gets the "owner" or someone with authority and we begin to haggle. He's whining about how he's not going to make any $ on the move and all he wants to do is break even etc. I'm like **!
What I have neglected to tell you all is that 30 years ago I was a long distance owner operator for United Van Lines for 10 years! Lol. I counter him with I explained in DETAIL about the location of the move, the time I KNEW it would take to load and unload and how I thought it was a cheap quote, but he INSISTED that he was correct. OK I thought. This is your dime. Lol. After going back and forth, I ended up giving him $500 more and not a penny more. He wasn't happy but ** him!
The damage was kept to a minimum. A few glass shelves broken and couple of picture glass and they managed to lose the bolts for the dining room table. So all in all. I could live with it. Would I recommend this company? NO!! I wouldn't let them move me across the street. I was suspect of their gross incompetence before they even begun. But went ahead with them anyway.
The crew was awesome, they busted their ** and were great guys. The truck was new and clean but the estimator and the rest of it was a joke! It's true what they say Boys and Girls. You get what you pay for. If you want to move? Use a reputable carrier such as United, Allied or another, or there's always the option of using PODS or getting your own truck and moving yourself. I knew this move would be difficult based on my own personal experiences and from my former career. Hope this helps some of you out?

I hired All My Sons vs. a local company because I felt I would get a better moving experience than I had in the past. Three men showed up and took THREE hours to empty an one bedroom apartment. They brought boxes - that they charge for and proceeded to pack in boxes the very things I had already packed. I had forgotten I had a few dirty dishes in the sink. Then they proceeded to use the clean clothes I had packed to "protect" these dishes. They had failed to bring packing materials for my dishes, and used my clothing instead. I have a fragile china lamp that was not wrapped and a gold peacock that I explained came from the Forbidden City, obviously I was speaking over their head, but I did explain that I could not replace these items.
After three hours and sixteen miles, I was charged 805.00. Originally, it was reduced from 860.00 after I told them I was quoted the non weekend price. They rudely agreed. They set up my things. I tipped and they left. As I was going through my things, I realized that my great aunt's pearls were not there. I immediately called them and they once again rudely denied any such thing would happen. I filed a police report and my insurance company immediately. Moving is a miserable experience anyway, but this was the worst. They will of course deny the theft of my pearls, which were secured. I am left with an empty hollow space that comes with the theft. Let's put in in a nutshell, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY REASON. They mislead, lie about the company, and disregard and comments. The system they use for customers to sign the contract is you place your signature and initials for the clocking in of hours (but not to clock out) and this loaded signature can be used by simply tapping the screen in the proper location. My signature could be placed on any document even though I did not sign it. This leads to fraud. Matt, the manager of the Woodlands location disregarded my complaints, did not repair the damage to my door.

This company is a straight rip off. I have reported them to BBB, and trying to get my local news station to blast them on national tv. I moved from a 2 bedroom to a small one bedroom using a different company and the total charge was $200. Moving from the small 559 sq ft apt. I used All My Sons. They got there moved like malasis loading (which is all they had to do because I didn't have much and had EVERYTHING boxed and broke down) then after they finished they drove 20 mph in a 40mph. I moved not even 5 mins away and it took us almost 35 mins. I had to keep stopping to wait for them to catch up.
NOW during reserving their services I was quoted $109ph. When we arrived to the new location a guy came in the apt and stated we can't remove the items off the truck until you pay us. WAIT why am I paying before services aren't completed?? Then he stated the total was $700. Long story short they don't inform you that they aren't charging you by the hour. They are estimating your total and going by that. I talk to the RUDE manager here in the Orlando area and was able to get a small reduction but it was still more than this move should have cost. If anyone know the ends and out of starting a civil law suit please let's get it going and shut these rude unprofessional ripoffs down all over the world. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. When they got to my new residence they were on the phone with their manager and I had to pay an EXTRA $136, making the grand total for a 1 bedroom house $436. The manager JASON provided the worst customer service I have ever received on top of his rude and arrogant comments. I asked him several times to honor his original rate in which I was told "I feel like I'm talking to a child, are you stupid?" We had All My Sons move us from Ft Lauderdale to Charleston SC last month. As with most of the reviews I have read the complaints are similar. Inadequately trained employees, management that refuses to accept any responsibility for the actions of their employees. Missing boxes, property, they broke a 60" Samsung Flat screen TV that was 2 years old because they did not pack it properly. Damaged three antique Tiffany lamp shades, again because they didn't pack them properly. They are guilty of fraud because I specifically asked him (Bret) how the TV and lamps were to be packed, and they were not. Then when I filed a complaint they offer me an insulting amount for the damage, falling back on the $0.60 per pound insurance limit.
We will see if this holds up because I fully intend to bring them into a courtroom and demand a jury trial. I also wrote the President of the company a letter of complaint, sent it registered mail, return receipt requested and he did not respond, so you have a pretty good idea where the character and ethics of this company comes from. They suck, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO MOVE ANYTHING... THEY ARE DESPICABLE...

The salesman had told me they would move everything as he walked through the house. I was never told they would not move large heavy items or open boxes (without lids) or they would not even unplug a lamp. I told the salesman that I had quite a few items they might like to be boxed and they would need to pack those items. Also, there were a number of pictures that were not boxed that needed to be. They were very slow, did not pack the truck full before saying they needed to do a 2nd load. There was an item they WOULD NOT move, that I had to hire another moving company to move; which they did in one hour.
It took two loads and they did not put the boxes in the rooms they were marked for. They barely put up my bed and left. Before they removed anything from the 2nd load, they demanded payment and would not take a check, but required credit card. When talking to the office, they were not helpful, stood up for the salesman (his word against mine) and the moving crew. They ask if I had signed a contract, but I do not have one either in my email or hard copy. NEVER USE THEM!!!

First off let me start off with that the two guys who moved me worked their arses off. From that perspective I have no complaints. From the other perspective this company runs very light in explaining what their actual charges are. When talking with their representative on the phone he made it clear in representing how they are a much better company than others with how they charge for the move. What he did not make clear is that they charge 12% for fuel based on the bill for the entire move!!! The entire move ended up taking 4:15 minutes at $129.00 per hour. This should have totaled out to $548.25 plus another $129.00 for 'travel cost' which brings the total to $677.25. When I called to get clarification on the bill the representative hung up on me. My final bill was $892.00 plus out of good conscience I tipped the movers $50.00. Please do yourself a big favor and do not use this company because there is underlying tone of being unethical.

The sales rep. told me that it should not take more than about three hours total if all loose items were boxed and ready to go, which they were. Because I have hired two other moving firms in the area to move similar and lesser size homes further distances within the last three years, I was expecting the total move charge to be less than $500. Not only did AMS stretch the move time out to 5.5 hours at the cost of $874.50, they added a fuel charge of $124.02 and travel time of $159. Again, the total travel distance was eight miles between homes. Their total charge including $45 for plastic wrap materials came to $1,202.52. My family used the All My Sons Moving company to relocate from southern Ohio to Michigan in July 2016. The problems with our experience occurred as a direct result of the initial consultation with the sales representative, Jarla **, when she and her company set very high expectations and standards that simply were not upheld. For example:
(1) Washer/Dryer. I clarified with Jarla several times during the initial consultation in my home that the All My Sons movers were capable of uninstalling/installing our stackable washer and dryer as this was one specific reason we sought outside moving assistance to begin with. Jarla not only told me that the movers were capable of uninstalling/installing and unstacking our machines before transporting them, but she also pointed out the necessity of the shipping bolts for the washing machine. Once the movers showed up and had no idea what to do with the washer and dryer, I then called the lead sales manager for the ** branch, Ethan **, who informed me that it is expressly stated in the company policy to prohibit movers from uninstalling/installing washers and dryers, which was in direct contradiction to my conversation with Jarla.
I also bring up the point of the shipping bolts, because the movers had “no idea” what to do with them, and they left them with us as a result. Consequently, we had to pay additional funds for a technician to install our washer and dryer and for them to assess the machines for damage due to the negligence during the moving process. Additionally, Ethan ** told me on the phone the night the movers picked up our furniture that he “would take care of it” with regard to ensuring the shipping bolts were installed in our washing machine on the morning prior to the truck leaving for the MI trip. He also ensured the he would personally make sure our furniture was properly secured and packaged. However, the washing machine arrived to our new home in Michigan without any bolts in place—another blatantly broken promise by the All My Sons company.
(2) Antique Wooden Furniture. During the consultation, Jarla and I spoke at length about the care necessary to properly transport my family’s irreplaceable antique furniture. Jarla was given explicit notice as to the sensitive nature of our furniture and ensured that it would be handled with care. Jarla repeatedly assured me that her company would provide bubble wrap, blankets, etc. and take extra care to safeguard these family heirlooms. Upon pick up day, after showing up three hours late, the moving crew had a total of three straps, not a single roll of bubble wrap and only a handful of blankets. They indicated that they were given no notice whatsoever as to the nature of the furniture they would be transporting.
Consequently, upon the arrival of our furniture in Michigan, nearly every single piece of furniture sustained damage (e.g. significant scratches, cracks, and splinters), all of which has been photographed. As a specific example and one which was pointed out to the moving crew, one of the legs of our antique tallboy (i.e. the furniture piece that I specifically discussed with Jarla upon our initial consultation/walkthrough) has been completely cracked in half. When confronted about the damage, the crew responded: “Oh my bad, man.”
Once the moving crew left and we were able to fully assess the damage of our belongings, I attempted to contact both Jarla and Ethan again with respect to our concerns— I have yet to hear any response from anyone in the company, even 10 days later. We were able to contact the claims department. I informed the woman I spoke with that I would like to have a company representative contact me. I am still awaiting a response from anyone in the company.

Loaders showed up on Thursday too with a truck since they called and explained they had an extra crew at the shop. On Friday two trucks and 5 people showed up late (9:30 am) because a truck broke down. These loaders had to pack most of the day. Boxes were not marked adequately on 50% of the boxes so it was a hunt once delivered. I called the Office on Friday at 3 pm. I conveyed the guys were working really hard but they needed to send more help as I didn't want this going on until midnight. He said he had no one else to send. My husband and I ended up helping pack some boxes just to speed up the process and left some items behind as it was getting late. The move was 75 miles from Jacksonville, FL.
Needless to say they didn't finish unloading the second truck until 1:30 AM on Sat. There is some damage to walls in other house and a few items but nothing major that can't be repaired. It appears my brand new Shark vacuum still in box is missing. Not sure of anything else yet. That was an obvious box. The crew worked hard for over their allowed hours which I am appreciative of however the company does not pay them overtime or give them lunch breaks. This company is the worst. Here is my email to them after the fact: Most of our furniture was damaged in some way, including two freshly refinished pieces. In total 11 pieces were seriously damaged. Obviously we are shocked; when you pay a professional company to move your furniture the expectation is that it will arrive without damage. It seemed to us that the movers were good guys but poorly trained and badly equipped and under-supported for the big and hard job they were doing. It seemed like they didn’t know what to expect on either end and were surprised to hear that they’d be going up three flights on the destination end. Communication between the office and the movers seems like an issue.
Other disappointments: Your customer care number actually calls a poor woman in Phoenix who says she is constantly getting calls from people with damaged furniture. This seems pretty sketchy. The estimator, James **, told us that our piano could be moved “no problem”. However, you are clearly not equipped to do so. You should have told us this upfront so that we could make other arrangements. Now we are stuck with our piano at your warehouse.
We were required to help the movers far more than we should have. We had to oversee disassembling furniture and figuring out how to get items out of the house, unwrapping, etc. the entire day. We felt we could not leave the movers for a minute. We feel strongly that we should not have had to play the role of foreman when hiring a professional moving service. Some of the blankets used to wrap furniture were falling apart, directly leading to some of the damage to our furniture. This is what we mean by the movers being poorly supported. The movers left two items wrapped in our apartment, please tell us what to do with the three pads.

HOWEVER, the management end of the company is quite unprofessional and dismissive with the customers. The truck had a mechanical problem on the day of our move which delayed the move for about 3 hrs. An office manager by the name of John promised me a 10% discount on money already paid by me to be refunded to my bank account, saying the refund would not take more than four days.
It has been 12 days already and no refund yet. So I called their office today and after 10 minute wait on hold on the phone, another office guy very dismissively tells me that it's summer, blah, blah, they are very busy and I will just have to wait until they have time to process my claim. I mentioned I'd probably write a negative review on them and he responded very nonchalantly that was my choice and right to do so, so here it is. I wish I had read all the reviews on this page before hiring them. I repeat: the loaders and unloaders I got were quite the opposite from management. The movers were polite and did work fairly quickly, but the final cost of the move ended up being over $400 more than I anticipated, and at $1100 it was 3 times more expensive than any moving company I have ever used. But worse than that, I realized that several items of mine were missing or damaged after the move, including a 6' tall bookshelf that disappeared. They damaged my almost new audio receiver and it no longer works, and they "misplaced" a Dyson Hot + Cool Fan and my gym bag that had all of my kickboxing equipment as well as gloves and other sports items from my childhood.
And if that was not bad enough, when I filed a claim with their service department the settlement they offered was an insult and would barely cover the cost to replace one item, and they called it "generous". I fully realize they have a $0.60 per pound replacement policy, so by the letter of the law they are correct that their offer was "generous". But when a move across town costs this much money and they screw up so royally, it is ridiculous for them to offer a settlement so paltry that it is worth more to me to write negative reviews than it is for me to accept the money. Do not use this moving company. I have used other movers in the past that were a fraction of the cost and did their jobs professionally and without any issues or damage.

Let's start with the fact that we were quoted with a 26ft truck but they sent a 16ft truck leaving us to jam stuff in our vehicles with 4 kids, a dog & a cat. My husband ended up having to make a second trip back because we couldn't make it happen in one.
We moved an hour away so that's a fun drive in the middle of the night on limited sleep. We got over this although annoying. Next up the truck and crew had a solid 20 minute head start as we were still jamming stuff in our cars again with kids & pets. I was the last to leave the house when I hit traffic I called the crew come to find out they took a longer way to get to our new home.
We got to the house and was waiting for over an hour for the truck to arrive again. They left 20 minutes before my husband did. They wouldn't start until payment was made, I understand this however I feel maybe half should be done so the homeowners can check their items. After the payment is made my husband is told they only have about 90 minutes to empty the truck before we have to pay more. So we were left with chaos and still sorting get through it. Again we got over this.
Here's the part that has me fired up. The next day when my husband goes to put our brand new cribs back together he learns both cribs are scratched up. They wrapped everything but the cribs why I don't know and it didn't dawn on me because I was dealing with 2 newborns and 2 older kids. When I say new I mean brand new! We just had twins 3 weeks before moving and they had just started sleeping in the cribs that week.
I call immediately, we moved on a Friday. My first call was a Tuesday, I speak with Paul ** who tells me he will contact the crew and give us a call back in 15 to 20 minutes. I try to be reasonable and wait the entire day and call back the next. I'm told he's out of the office but I'm given his email address to send the pictures of the damage.
I call back 2 days later. Now he just stepped out. I follow up on the initial email and request a response even giving my husband's email. Again silence and my frustration is exploding. I call back and Paul ** answers so I lay out how I've tried reaching him and have gotten no where. I'm given this story of how busy they are, hmm hello 2 newborns, 2 kids just out of school for the summer, just moved and trying to settle in, and resolve the crib issue. He gives me an attitude with that story and rudely goes, "Did you not receive the release I sent you." I asked what release and for what because as of yesterday nothing was sent and no call was received. He then says, "I can give you $100 for it." I said, "What, we used them for a week roughly, we purchased them brand new, your crew did this and I have to hunt you down." He says, "Let me call our furniture guy "Mike" and have him come see if he can fix it and I will call you back."
I wait again no call back. Again I call and I request Paul's manager... he actually answered the phone... I explain all that happened. He seems agitated at Paul for the run around and the damage by the moving crew and appears to what to make things right. He asked me to send him the pictures and he was calling "Mike" the furniture guy and would call me back.
I get a call the next day as a courtesy from David to let me know he's working with Mike. I'm hopeful at this point that he truly wants this resolved. Foolish of me to think that. I follow up by email the next work week because I hadn't heard from him. I get back an email offering me $100 for the damage. This company clearly doesn't have a furniture guy named Mike. They ignore you hoping you'd go away and when they can't get rid of you they believe $100 resolves the issue. I ask you how would they feel if they spent their hard earned money to buy brand new cribs not even use them for a month heck barely a week and have someone damage them due to clear neglect only to have $100 bucks thrown at them. These are cribs that we were hoping would grow with our kids as they are converting cribs and no I'm not realistic in thinking they would go undamaged all those years.
However I do know they wouldn't be damaged or scratched up as bad as they are today with barely any use. I failed to properly do my research on this company and that's my fault... lesson learned! My husband and I went with this company over a larger better known company wanting to back the small business however this company is NOT worth it. I repeat it is not worth the support! After some minimum searching I discovered we aren't the only one who's experienced this issue and it's the same exact thing. Damaged furniture... report said damage... get the run around and never hear from or see this supposed furniture guy Mike. We warn you. Find a better more reputable moving company but if you still go with All my Sons... good luck! Be prepared for nothing but frustration. And headaches!

Worse move I have ever had. The two very young men started at 8 a.m. and finished at 10:30 p.m. They were exhausted. Should have been at least four men. Two neighbors, my husband and I helped with the packing even though they were being paid to do so. They left several pieces behind, packed pictures without wrapping. Packed an organ without supports to prevent damage from movement during the ride. Many items were damaged. I don't know how they stay in business.
Worse of all, they refused to pay for the damage with their piddling insurance policy. All they would have had to pay was $125.00. They said I signed the paper, so they didn't have to pay me. I crossed out the part where it read that I would not say anything negative about the move, and that's why they wouldn't pay. Broken items included a Tiffany lamp shade, the glass on a picture, a missing drill, and many other pieces. It is sad to think that they won't assume responsibility for damage they caused. I would never recommend them to anyone.

We hired All My Sons to move us long-distance in the US. As we watched them pack to make the move, we quickly realized that we were going to be in trouble, as the movers had no regard for our belongings at all. They did not pack anything correctly (some pictures has NO PACKING AT ALL), blamed my wife for breaking a glass (she wasn't even home), and literally destroyed the staircase by banging furniture around. Strangely enough, a new grill also went missing during the move. We have moved 12 times around the world and never had anything near this poor.
When we unpacked we found what we expected. Broken everything - furniture, pictures, game table, and many other items totally destroyed. I mean, TOTALLY destroyed. There is no company worse at moving than All My Sons. They tout how they move sports teams, but I am sure that they don't treat the athletes' belongings like they did ours. Stay away.
Updated on 12/20/2016: After destroying tens of thousands of dollars of my belongings, All My Sons has offered me a total of $831. Stay away from them AT ALL COSTS. They are the WORST MOVING COMPANY I HAVE EVER COME IN CONTACT WITH (I have moved 12 times).

The only reason I used this company they had a specific date available. Should of done more research. They came to my apt. I was only moving to an upstairs apt. with an elevator. They had no equipment. Some broken down piece of wood with wheels that looked like a kid put it together. The first thing they said was “Oh this will take more than 2 hours.” One bedroom apt. No fridge, no washer dryer... I freaked out as I was moved into that apt. in less time. They had a manual screwdriver I had to give them a power screwdriver. They used the apartment’s equipment to move as only has one dolly. We stayed on them and they were done with the furniture and wanted to leave. I still had 30 minutes... do not use these guys. I was so stressed and they play on that knowing you have to move.

This company is the worst moving company I have ever worked with. And that says a lot since I've moved quite a bit in the military. I went with this company because on their advertisement it says they take apart and reassemble all items free of charge. Well not free it comes with the price. That is the only reason I chose them. When I made my reservation I told them I had bunk beds in the initial inventory along with many other items. Not a problem. The night before my move. They called to confirm the appointment. I told them about the bunk beds again. And I was then told that we do not take down bunk beds or put them back together!!! What?!? That would have been nice to know. So now I have bunk beds and loft beds that the movers won't move. So now it's on me. While I'm paying them almost $200 per hour!!!
When they came it was a man and two very young men/Kids. They did not work in an organized fashion. They looked to the older gentleman for all directions. All of a sudden they said that one got bit upstairs by a bug. And asked if my dog had fleas at all? My dog has never had fleas of any sort. So then the older guy says his guy is swelling up and it must be bed bugs in the master mattress. Before talking to me or showing me what he was talking about. He already called back to his boss and said it had to be bed bugs. I was shocked. I demanded for them to show me where!!! He goes to show me what he thought was a bed bug on the bottom of the mattress. He said those 3 black dots on the mattress. I looked, asked "right here?" And he said "yes." I proceeded to pull the black dots off and they were balls of sock fuzz!!! And one piece of string that was balled up!!! I asked if he wanted to touch it? Did he see that it was a ball of fuzz? He said yes!
I told him to call his boss and tell him that he made a mistake. Instead he drove off!!! So it was not a bed bug but in fact fuzz!!! My husband is a police officer and wears black work socks every day. But since he already made the call back to the boss. They proceeded to take my stuff off the truck put it in my driveway and garage. They did not even put everything back in the house, they left it outside!!! I took pictures of everything!!! And now I'M out of a mover, a truck and I have 24 hours to move a 3-bedroom house.
Beware of this company. They are unprofessional. Instead of saying "we made a mistake but we wanted to make sure" they jumped to conclusions and are not man enough to admit they had made a mistake! I'm not done. I'm going to proceed with this further... This company has had mostly bad reviews but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Shame on me!!! Do not ever use All My Sons Moving and Storage!!! I want my deposit, what the cost will be for me to hire other movers and the stress and anguish.

One was the 2nd day on the job and you could tell. He ruined brand new wood floors with gashes and scratches in multiple rooms. Their claim process is a joke also. We filed a claim almost nine months ago and we have yet to hear from anyone. They will not return phone calls and emails are ignored. Not sure what my next recourse will be at this time. My hope is that going public in social media will allow other folks to stay AWAY!!!

I have never had such a horrible experience. It started with three guys showing up with a too small truck. They indicated that management always does this and that I should call him. I did, in fact, call Jason and he agreed that I would not have to pay for the second trip that would be required because the truck was too small. These movers started about 10:00-10:30 and did not leave my house until 12:30 am. In the process they damaged walls (at both locations), broke/chipped wood on the banister (new location), scratched furniture, broke a lamp, and broke the leg off my dinette set. The final thing was Jason back-peddling on our agreement and tried to deny the discussion trying to charge me $2,200. Please, do not use these movers, this is not out of anger but from true experience. THEY ARE THE WORSE.

Movers were supposed to show up on Saturday between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM. We called several times to verify that everything was still on schedule. Each time we were told that "We (All My Sons) will get you moved today." Moving van arrived at 6:15 PM and were promptly told that they (the movers) were not allowed to move anything after 9:00 PM, and because of how much we had to move they were not even going to try. We were also told that they (All My Sons) didn't work on Sunday and that they were fully booked on Monday so it wasn't going to happen then either. My father-in-law and I had to move everything ourselves, it took the two of us 12 hours. I will NEVER use this company again!

During all of the calls no one mentioned the hidden fees for Saran wrap of all of the furniture which added $100 and at least 2 hours of time. The movers worked so incredibly slow, it was obvious they were trying to pad the clock in order to increase the charges. The initial quote per hour was different than what was charged. Even with the wrapping, the movers did not know what they were doing and still broke and damaged several pieces of furniture. Our home is brand new so the hole in the sheetrock was obvious also.

After reading so many bad reviews, I felt that I needed to leave a review myself. I worked for this company a little over a month ago. I only worked a week. They had an ad for drivers, and when you come in they tell you that you help move as well. At the time I really needed a job, so I thought l would give it a try. I made it clear I was not experienced in any of this, and they assured me that I would just be a "helper"/driver (which I later realized means mover). This company is one of the worst companies I have ever seen in my life. They hire everybody that applies. They do not train you at all, they have you come in at 7 am, they give you a green t-shirt, and pair you with someone they call a vet (my 2 vets had been working a month with no prior moving history) and you go on a job (this entire process is about 3 hrs with no pay). My three experiences were all terrible, and after that I decided I did not want to work there anymore.
My first experience (the first day) they tried to put me on a four-man team when the customer asked for three. The supervisor Wendell said "just get there and go for the upsell". Luckily the driver called the customer before we even left to make sure that it was okay to have an extra person. The customer said no so I got off that truck and got put onto another job which was a three-man team which should have been a four-man team. Because we are not professional movers it takes a long time. Once again, I thought I was being paired with pro's and I would just be the wrapper/packer/"helper". Everything has to be wrapped, but the person I was with looked shocked that I was using the blanket pads and everything so I'm guessing that they don't usually wrap things properly. It took 8 hours to load everything onto the lady's truck. We got to her new home and then it took about 3 hours to unload everything off the truck.
We did not finish the job until 11:45 at night. So I had been working for 16 hours, with no break. They only pay you for when you get to the location and when you finish so the first 3 hours I don't get paid for. Second day we go to a lady's apartment. It looks like a very reasonable job for the crew that I was with. Once again it was me, another person who just started, and another "vet" who was 100 lbs. The issue with this job was that the salesperson told this woman that it was $189 for 3 hours. When we got to the location and went over the paperwork she realized that it was 189 per hour which she did not agree to so it was cancelled and we had to leave. What made this so bad is because this poor woman had a brand new baby. It was very obvious that it was not clearly stated to her that it was $189 per hour.
She said it over and over again that the woman said it was $189 for a three-hour job. It would have made no sense for her to pay that much money for that small move. And when I told the manager Wendell, that I thought it was extreme miscommunication and that the woman really honestly thought it was $189. He replied that the customer is trifling and that most of our customers are trifling people that lie all the time. My third day, and final day, me, another new person, and the same vet who weighs about a hundred pounds soaking wet, were sent on a huge job. The customer had three to five flights of stairs in their townhouse. The customer stated to the salesperson that they had extremely heavy things that needed to be thrown over railing that really needed professional moving work. We were clearly not the team for this job.
We did not have back braces, we did not have any kind of straps that would help us move, we were not prepared for something this huge. I felt really bad for the customers because I'm sure when you pay this much money an hour you are thinking you're getting professional movers but you're really not. You're getting any Average Joe off of the street they promised us that we're just going to be packing and helping but we are the actual Movers. This guy was so mad because it took us 6 hours to load the items in his home, and he had other stops to make (which was not in our paperwork), he had a lot of work to do, and we just could not do the job. We could not finish it in the time he wanted. We didn't finish until 3 am. Company is just a huge scam on all ends.
The people that are working for that company are fooled into thinking that we're coming in as drivers or we're just going to be helping when in actuality we are supposed to be the professional movers and we clearly are not. There are some people that are professional movers and that do have the experience. I see what they try to do is give a hard job to a team of 3 that are going to take a long time so they can charge the customer per hour. If it's a small job they will send extra people to try to upsell. Customer is paying a high rate per hour. The guy John that works there is a total liar, so don't believe a thing he says. Also, they have jobs called hangers, that crews are sent in if they finish their first job early. I never stayed long enough to go on a hanger. From reading the reviews, I gather that these "hangers" are probably the people who had to wait all day for their move. PLEASE DON'T USE THIS COMPANY AND DON'T TRY TO WORK FOR THEM!!

They didn't offer to repair my furniture like any other reputable company would. Instead they offered me $132. They also don't give you an itemized list in your estimate like other companies and I was charged for things they didn't end up packing. Then they tell you they damaged furniture and you sign paperwork before you know they only want to give you 60 cents a lb. They say they have a furniture man to come out a lie. Bottom line they will not fix what they break. Won't pay either. Use a moving company with standards. If it happens... make a report to Better Business Bureau and bond and license and take to small claims. To avoid this don't use them. My damage was 1200. They just wanted to give me back my 200. They charged me to move it. I had a HORRIBLE experience with All My Sons previously (August 2015) and should have never used them again. But the sales rep, John ** stated that it would be fine and he would assure that I wouldn't experience the same issues again for this next move (i.e. unexperienced movers who looked like teenagers, who put holes and scratches in my walls and dents/scratches, etc. on my washer, dryer, bed frames, coffee tables and end tables)! I was told during that time that when I submitted my complaint request, filled out paperwork and sent in pictures that it would take a couple weeks to review and process, but then I was told several weeks later that "no information was provided or could be found". I should have walked away then, but I didn't and was willing to give them a second chance, but it all backfired in my face!
I contacted them on May 19th at 9:00am to schedule a move for June 25th. John ** stated that again, he would ensure I wouldn't have a horrible experience and he would see to it. He gave me the quote and after talking to him for over 30 min, he provided a confirmation at 9:40am. I just got a call (6/20 @ 8:28am) stating that the move I had scheduled for the 25th, there was a "glitch" in the system and the order is actually incorrect. They wouldn't provide the extra guy they said I would have for the hourly rate! These would probably end up being the same "teenager" type boys and not the "best crew" I was told by John that I would receive. I asked if we could get John on the phone to discuss and he stated "I'm an owner" and maybe other companies operate that way, but we don't - He's in sales and I'm in the execution area where we confirm deliveries and we don't talk back with the sales department.
The entire conversation was HORRIBLE and was completely unacceptable from a customer service and customer experience perspective and he was unwilling to work and accommodate what John ** had stated and confirmed in his email. He was arrogant, rude, and it's almost as if "regular customers" who aren't celebrities/athletes or extremely wealthy people, they don't want to work with you! They are HORRIBLE and need to be re-trained and should have better service! I WILL NEVER EVER consider them again and WOULD NOT recommend ANYONE use this HORRIBLE COMPANY WHO DON'T FOLLOW-THROUGH WITH THEIR COMMITMENTS!

Looking at the reviews of the company the moving experience was almost exactly the same as the other reviewers. Had I noticed this in advance this company would not doing the moving. Paid approximately 2600 for the move including tips to move a one bedroom apartment to another apartment in the Overland Park, KS area. Three movers came to the apartment to be moved but was told that they did not have the necessary boxes and supplies to make the move. The head driver took the truck to go back to the establishment to pick up the supplies, gone most of the morning. Two remaining workers did some packing and moved boxes to the apartment garage that could not be loaded directly to the truck. Packers did not finish one room at a time but threw things randomly into boxes with no identification what was in the boxes.
Contract called for shrink wrapping and quilts to protect furniture, leaving marks on the wooden arms of the living room furniture. Trying to unpack this mess is almost impossible since the boxes are unidentified and could not be moved to the appropriate room. Spent hours to unpack one box that had kitchen dishes and glasses. Several insignificant glasses were stuffed with wrapping paper double triple wrapped with wrapping paper and bound by several wraps of wrapping tape. You could have dropped these glasses out of an airplane with no damage, had to cut these apart to even unwrap them. The moving event was a disaster from every aspect. Company should discontinue services until these issues are resolved. Poor moving company. Wish I had never used them.

Folks beware of All My Sons moving company. Pay very close attention when they talk about their fees, very misleading. When I spoke with Steve in Baton Rouge, he indicated that their fees are $119 an hour to pack and unload your belongings. Additionally there is a $119 an hour for round trip travel. Here is the kicker folks. What they actually charge you is $119 an hour for the employees (loading, travel, unloading), plus $119 an hour for the round trip travel time for the truck, and if that wasn't enough they tack on an additional 10% fuel surcharge. So basically folks you're double charged during the travel time and it's amazing $119 an hour doesn't cover the fuel.
I'm still not sure how they arrived at the materials charge of $53. They used less than 1 roll of tape and plastic wrapped one piece of furniture. On top of it all they damaged some of my furniture with tie straps on the truck and dropped another piece in the driveway. This was a terrible moving company. They will use the fact that their movers own some of the business as a selling point but that simply isn't the case. Must be just made up. The mover that appeared to be the supervisor told me that if I put a tip for the movers on my credit card that the company just keeps them. His exact words were: "You know the rich get richer and the poor get poorer" which didn't make sense at all. But when I presented this information to that sales and other management it wasn't denied at all! They broke items, they scratched furniture, they placed boxes of dishes upside down in my kitchen.
I had missing items that could have been found and returned but they didn't take the time. But I would have gotten over all of this if they even acted like they cared at all. But they did not even a return phone call to apologize. I had a piece missing from a shoe holder and called to tell the driver before they were even back to their office. He told me they would search the moving blankets and get back to me. Never heard another word! They have you pay online and show the info when the truck is just unloaded.
They don't show you any detail of the invoice. They also have you complete their survey BEFORE you have a chance to find all the damages. They do not let you do a survey afterwards. It isn't available at all on their website. They said they would email me the receipt but didn't until I asked for it. They had charged me $156 for 15 boxes and a six pack of tape. I packed all of my own boxes, they didn't pack one box for me!!! I could go on and on but I will stop. I see the others reviews now and relate to most of them. Wish I'd found this site prior to booking our move with All My Sons (Kansas City). To get an accurate quote I even had an employee of AMS come to our old address and walk through every room. We paid for packing and moving services, approximately $3,000 including tips. They scheduled it all to be done in one day. The three young men arrived at 9:45am on Friday morning and seemed to have no idea that they were scheduled to pack out 1,400 sqft home. While they were nice enough, they were extremely lazy and unfocused. They did not appear to have any formal training. There are no words to describe how unorganized they were. All three just walked around, grabbing items, and throwing them into boxes. They did not work one room to completion and move on to the next. The packing process took 7 hours and the unloading approximately 4 hours. It would have taken longer if we hadn't been there to spur them along.
When we unpacked in the new place there was no way of telling what was in each box. For example, the kitchen utensils were packed with DVDs and gardening tools. The laundry detergent was thrown into a box upside down without sealing the cap so it poured into the box. The did not wrap our beds or sofas or tables. I watched as they dragged the mattress across the dirty moving truck and tore a corner of its fabric. A tennis ball was wrapped and placed in a box while the crystal vases were simply shoved into boxes without any protection. There is no conceivable way these people were trained in professional moving and packing.
It was absolutely horrible and we are still missing items. Please keep in mind our new house was less than one mile away from our old house...how are things missing?? We assume they were stolen or broken and thrown out because the movers made an unexpected stop at a gas station on the way to our new house. Definitely do NOT RECOMMEND this company.

I would like to give 0 stars but that is not an option. Spoke to company contacts twice prior to move. Gave them complete details on the home size, etc. A 3-men crew arrived, looked at what I needed to move, and said this was a five-man job. I told them I was OK with more men and an additional truck. The first crew fought between each other for the first hour. I called the supervisor and he said he would take care of it asking for descriptions of each individual. 2 hours later a second crew arrived to "help" unload.
Several hours later the first truck was full and headed to my new home. Several of the employees ask what I was going to do about the remainder of my items which was probably 2/3 of my items. I thought that I had hired a team that would take care of all my moving needs. 3 of the employees offered services on their time. Long story short... I was left with a bill and 2/3 of my home still there. I am a Senior woman on my own and try to do as much as I can. I feel this company took advantage of this. On May 27th I had the following company All My Sons Moving to come and move my sister from a rental house to a townhouse. The previous week I had contacted the company to get a quote. They quoted me $550 but in the end the total was $842.40. Needless to say I knew I was getting a "quote" but I never imagined for what little items they moved we would be charged this much.
First, I was given a moving time of mid-morning early afternoon. I drove from Greenville to Spartanburg to meet the movers and I waited from 10 AM till 2 PM. I called the Simpsonville office at noon to ask when the movers were coming and the guy said, "Soon." They showed up at 2 PM and finished at 6 PM. The only heavy item we had to move was a piano. The guys padded and wrapped everything although I said we didn't need it. It took an hour and an half to wrap a few items.
Once we arrived at the new location the driver had to call his person to get a quote in order to unload. I was quoted $920.24. Yes this was very high for what little we had to move. The 3 men they sent were already worn out from the previous move. They had to take lots of breaks and asked for me to refill their water bottles several times. I didn't mind but they are on my clock at this point. I'm paying. Once we were at the new location and I realized how expensive it was getting I stepped in and started unloading some items. Needless to say it wasn't anything heavy but I did move some items. The items that were already inside I was going ahead and unwrapping the plastic, and taking the blankets off of the furniture trying to buy me some time because if the movers had of done it, it would mean more time, more money. At the end I was helping to fold the blankets to put back on the truck because that is built into your time paying.
I have moved many times in my life and this is the first time I used this company and will certainly be the last. They are not careful with your items. They are not careful with your walls. I had several scratches on my hallway walls. When they arrived at the first place to move me they ran into a power line and snapped it. It fell to the ground. The driver having to call his supervisor to get a final rate took sometime which again I was paying for because the driver had no cell service. This was absolutely the worst moving experience I have ever had.
I usually read reviews before I use anyone and the only reviews I read were the ones directly on the website which were about half and half with positive and negatives. I found this website and wish I had of before I moved because after reading the reviews on this page I would have never of used this company. I was an emotional wreck by the time the move was over because it was so stressful. At the end the driver said it would be a total of $420 and we gave him that in cash. Today my sister finds where her credit card was charged $420. So we were charged twice.
I have called the office and stated my reason, and Bryan (could be spelled Brian) told me Fridays were busy and he needed to do some research, and he would call me back. I stated I understood that but this is my money we are talking about. It has been a couple of hours and no call back so I plan on calling him. This company is obviously making a lot of money by being dishonest and not giving good customer service at all. If I am quoted $550 and it ends up being $842 that to me is a huge difference. When I say we didn't have that much to move we really didn't.
Save yourself the trouble and please shop around. Do not use this company. It's not worth the headache and your wallet being robbed. If I had of read the reviews on this page first I would have never of used this company. I have read most of the reviews and the same complaints are what I experienced. Please take note of reviews and do NOT USE this company. You will be happy that you didn't. I hope this company makes some major changes or enough people might complain to where they will not be able to operate. Save your time, money, and sanity go with another moving company.

The table was unrepairable or replaceable and had been in my family for 60 years. After multiple attempts to reach them they had me pay for a notarized statement of claim and then said they would send 90 dollars which was their maximum exposure. I am still waiting for the 90 dollars 6 months later! Watch what they make you sign as there is lots of fine print and lets them do whatever they want. Then they make you pay to make a claim! Ridiculous!

I called in to get a quote for my move, this was the only part of this process that went fast. Bryan **, Sales Manager was the person who assisted me. We discussed the items in my home and how I just wanted two men. He changed the rate to $99 for two men- two-hour minimum, plus $99 for driving to/from location, 12% fuel charge. I also sent him 2 email to confirm all was correct since he changed my quote to two men $99 rate per hour. He never responded and when I ask him about it he said he never received??? (I have copied the generic email from the Greenville location… Let’s see if he receives this email.)
I live alone and have basically two full bedrooms of furniture, living room and dining room, no appliances to move, no major heavy items (one heavy armoire)… They put padding tape and plastic wrap on every item… Even when I said it was not necessary. No one ever said I would be charged for tape and plastic… If that was required (however, I see nothing that’s states that). All it says in my email is the below in red…
"Based on everything that you've told me, I am going to have you hire us at an hourly basis. The time starts when we arrive at your current location and stops when the final piece of furniture is in place at your new home. It’s all based on an hourly rate of only $129.00. You’re receiving 3 full-time employees and one 26 foot truck to hold all your furniture. Keep in mind that the hourly rate is prorated into 15-minute intervals after the 2-hour minimum is met to save you as much as possible. Please note that any packing and unpacking labor is a part of the hourly rate. We just ask that you pay for any materials you use of ours, and if you prefer to supply your own, there will be no additional charge for materials. We do add 1 hour of transportation, that gives my men 30 minutes to get to your location & 30 minutes to get back to my warehouse after the job is complete! Also on top of the final bill we do charge 12% fuel."
The blue highlighted statement, reads to me that if any packing supplies were to be used there would be a charge… I didn’t use any of your supplies. Brian ** loaned me 3 wardrobe boxes that I picked up on Saturday 5/28 at the All My Sons shop. I told movers to take boxes with them as they were a loan. I discovered on 6/3 that one of the boxes was still at my home… I called Greenville location, spoke with Jeff, he said to just throw it away. The two guys that moved me were very nice and polite however, there should have been no reason my move should have taken 5 hours… That’s correct 5 hours!!! It took them over 3 hours to load everything from my old place into the truck… I was moving a mile away… And it took them 2 hours to unload. Padding, tapping and plastic wrapping EVERYTHING especially items that did not need to be. In addition, they were pretty slow… I REPEAT… 5 HOURS….NO reason for that.
I paid $812… This is the worst moving experience I have ever had. I will NEVER use your company again and I will discourage others from using ANY All My Sons locations. The experience was horrible, the cost was outrageous (double what I was expecting). Also, I understand that fuel should be paid, and driving time should be considered, however a 12% fuel charge on the total bill makes NO sense at all… What does the fuel charges have to do with the hours of moving??? And why it should be in addition to a driving to/from shop (that charge was what the hourly moving is)… What does that have to do with the hourly rate??? Should it be a fuel charge OR a driving to/from charge? That would make more logical sense.
I personally think that the BBB should look into your overall practices, which I think are ripping customers off... Please also forward the link you told me about I want to send this the corporate office… I will be sending a copy and filing a complaint to the BBB. Thank you.

My mother hired All My Sons to move her from West Palm Beach to Clearwater, Florida in April of 2016. They were to pick up her things one day and deliver them the next. We told them that 11 a.m. was the earliest they could start moving in, to give her time to sign the lease and complete all the paperwork on her new apartment. When we arrived at the apartment a little before 11, they were already there moving things in. They had gotten a maintenance man to let them in. They seemed to be in a tremendous hurry and became rude and impatient when we asked questions or asked them to move a heavy item to a different spot. But the worst was yet to come.
I saw a lampshade with some black marks on it; I know the marks had not been there the day before because I dusted the lampshade off myself. When I pointed this out to the movers they said I would have to contact the claims department. No concern, no apology. Later on we came upon another damaged lampshade. This one was very delicate and had several holes in the fabric. Apparently neither shade had been wrapped in any sort of protective covering.
After they left, my mom was looking for a large ceramic vase that was one of her favorite pieces. I remembered seeing one of the movers carrying a large box that must have been the vase because of its size and shape, but the vase was nowhere to be found in the apartment. After searching the building, the elevator, and the loading area, I asked the maintenance man to be on the lookout for it. A short while later he knocked on the door and came in carrying a bundle wrapped and taped in a mover's blanket - one of the same blankets used by All My Sons. He had found it in the dumpster. Inside - you guessed it - the vase, broken into a million pieces. So not only did they break it, but they tried to cover it up by throwing it in the dumpster.
Needless to say my mom was livid. We called All My Sons immediately and all they said was that they would send out the claim form - again, no apology or acknowledgment of wrongdoing on the part of their employees. They acted as though they couldn't care less, which I guess was true since they'd already been paid. We followed the procedure and sent in the claim request. Their settlement offer? $31.80! For over $500 worth of damaged/destroyed merchandise! My mother will not be accepting their offer.
We understand the per pound valuation protection but find it ridiculous, since a very valuable item can weigh very little. Plus my mother did not have a copy of anything that she had signed showing that she agreed to their terms; we have requested copies on several occasions and have had no response. Bottom line, DO NOT use this company for a move. They are rude, careless, and they don't give a damn when they break your stuff.

I have never had such a bad experience with any company in any field. I had an estimator come to the house and give me a quote, and at that time he called and confirmed that the company could make the move. I confirmed the day prior to the move and again I was told the move was confirmed. The day of the move I was waiting for their arrival when they called to tell me they could not move me. They said the prior job added to their move so they were taking longer. They said they could move me in 3 days. I asked to speak with an owner which they would not allow me to do. However, right after I paid the deposit with the estimator an owner named Richard called and told me to call if I had any needs or concerns. Obviously this offer is only good if there are no problems.
I cannot put into words the horrendous situation All My Sons put me in after I did everything a customer was required to do. They wasted my valuable time by having an estimator come to my home for an estimate and wasted more valuable time assuming they would show up for the job. If your move is important and you need to be out of your home at a scheduled time DO NOT trust All My Sons to be there fulfilling their responsibility.

I hired this moving company weeks in advance for my moving date. It was very important that I have my belongings moved from the old house into the new house before noon on the day of the move. I was closing on the new house that morning, and my landlord was moving a new tenant into the apartment later that same day. I was told this was not a problem and that the movers would show between 8-9 am.
The day before the move at 1:00 in the afternoon, I received a phone call from All My Sons stating that the truck will arrive between 4-6 pm on the day of the move. I told the lady who I spoke with that time frame would not work and that I was promised an arrival time of 8-9 am. She told me that I was never quoted this time because they do not give time frames of arrival, only the day of (even though the whole purpose of her phone call to me was to give me the 4-6 pm time frame). I told them again that this would not work and that I had someone else moving into my old house that evening. She told me that she would speak with someone and call me back to let me know if the time could be adjusted.
In the mean time, I called multiple other moving companies begging for their business of which I got laughed at many times for how late of notice this was. There were no moving trucks available to rent in my area due to the late notice, except a 10 foot truck (to fit 2 beds, 2 couches, tables, dresser sets, etc.). Two hours passed with no return call from All My Sons. So I gave them a call to ask for an update from the lady I spoke with. This was when I was told that she was confused because I had requested to be removed from the schedule completely! What??? I was told that I was not on their schedule anymore "per my request." Wow. So now I am moving my entire belongings in one 10 foot moving truck, and my Jeep Patriot with no help. I am a 24 year old tiny framed female that definitely cannot move a refrigerator by herself tomorrow.

They were hired to move my mother's furniture that was in 2 storage units, to her new house. Palm Beach Gardens to Juno. No one was at the storage unit so they took 6 hours, with 3 men to empty 200 sf. Meanwhile my moving company had moved my 1900 sf house AND my 100 sf storage space with 5 guys in 6 hours. In addition, ALL MY SONS broke much of mom's fragile family china. Their driver was rude beyond belief and they held my mom's furniture hostage until we paid them. 18 hours to move 200 sf of furniture... you be the judge. I would never ever suggest this company.

First of all I would like to take the time to get my one star back that I had to rate for these people they don't deserve a star. We have tried to hire these people three times and every time they came over to move they made up some kind of excuse why their lazy ** could not move my house first. The second move we had about 75 boxes downstairs in our basement. They said that's too many boxes and they could not move that much. It would take them all day to move it and I told him "That's what we're paying you for, to move them." They said that they'll be right back. They go outside, sit in their truck and then they drive off, not to mention they done at the first time and the second time.
Do not use these people. Do not waste your money. These people need to be shut down. They are poor excuse for movers. If you could see my review and everyone else's you will understand. These people are lazy. They are going to get the Better Business Bureau to shut them down. They need it. These people are so lazy and they call themselves movers. I had to cool down before I made this review. I rate them 0 Stars with a big negative Smiley upside down face. Disgrace for people that call themselves movers!!!

Such a scam. Use 2 men and a truck - much cheaper company and better customer service. I plan on disputing my charge with Amex until they come fix all the issues.

We hired the co. because of the price and reviews and salesman. They kept putting off delivery for a week and a half and finally did. None of our wrapped furniture was marked with our name and we had to tell them what we were looking for so they could look under the pads to see what stuff was. They broke a leg off of a wooden chair; broke a wooden leg off a hat rack; broke the holder for 4 tv trays, not only broke the wood legs, but the screws also; broke dishes which I had wrapped in bubble, paper, and blankets, they were shattered; 3 figurines that were wrapped in bubble, paper, and an afghan and marked FRAGILE, were shattered beyond recognition. And, they were in such a hurry to leave and kept asking us if we were missing anything which is hard to know with all the stuff sitting around.
We then realized when they left we were missing an antique table. They gave us a 3rd party vendor to file a claim with and you'd have to be an IT person to understand their 4 emails of instructions and then come to find out I'd only get $18 back on a 125 yr. old table; my fault for not having more insurance. We had Mayflower to move to FL and they cracked 2 items, which we could fix, but didn't lose anything or shatter anything. Our neighbor in FL warned us about All My Sons when they were moving our items but it was too late then. Never again!

I called All My Sons for a same day move and talked to the same people in the other reviews about All My Sons. I was told it would happen probably by 1:00, but I had to pay a deposit for travel cost and the minimum. I gladly paid for 3 hours upfront and trusted I would get what I paid for and was promised. Then I was called by another guy and he said it would be between 12-3. I called at 3:00 and they said they now had to get someone else to do the move and several calls had to be made.
Finally, All My Sons showed up around 4:10 with a huge truck and three guys who wanted to make it clear they drove from the airport to do this move for me because nobody else could do it. They walked around my house and asked what my rate was for the move and I told him. They said OK and then went out to open the back of the truck, but the driver kept getting the wrong keys and would slowly walk to the front of the truck and get another key. This happened a few times with the wrong keys. Then he decided he had to move the truck a few times only to end up where he started
He kept talking out loud about how he couldn't find the right key or find the right place to park and this took about 15-20 minutes. He then got out of the truck and said he could not do the move because it would take too long and it was against the DOT rules for him to be working that many hours and even had his dispatcher/boss call me. I asked him to do the two hours I already paid for and he said no. I am not sure how two hours starting at 4:30 would have been an issue for him and his crew after driving over an hour to get to my house.
I could certainly understand it would take long for him to do the move because it took him so long just to park the truck in the exact same place it started and to find the right key to open a door that never actually got opened. They were there for a total of 30 minutes and didn't even touch a piece of furniture yet. What I couldn't understand was why he drove over an hour to my house if he couldn't do the move in the first place. I also couldn't understand why he refused to even do the two hours I already paid for and he was there with a huge truck. He said he refused to move anything and would be back at 6:30 in the morning more than once and could not understand that I could not do that. That was why I paid for a guarantee same day move.
I said I had to be out of the house that night and at a closing in the morning and I begged him to please do the two hours I already paid for and I would take care of the rest. Again, he said no and drove away leaving me with a house full of furniture. It was such a horrible feeling to be treated that way by a company I already paid money to for a guarantee move.
The guy I spoke to at 10 in the morning and described every single piece of furniture I had in my house said he had guys that are hungry and could do this move. These were same guys that showed up at my house with plenty of time to do my move or at least the two hours and then left me stranded. All My Sons wasted an entire day for me and refused to do what I paid for and was promised. I still have not been given my money back more than a week later (as promised) or any type of apology.
Luckily, my realtor came over with a smaller truck at 5:30 and a few of us moved my stuff in four trips and just under 5 hours. If we had a truck the size of All My Sons', we could have been done in 3 or 3.5 hours. All My Sons gave up an easy move with the truck they had and the movers would have been given a nice tip. They also lost my respect. They couldn't deliver as promised and left a customer in a bad position and still have not refunded my money. Move yourself or get someone that is highly recommended and has good reviews. I plan to use a smaller company next time where the people you talk to are actually involved in the process, are available, do not pass you on to someone else, and follow through with a guarantee.

Although the moving guys that showed up were very nice, they were not exceptional movers. They were supposed to be wrapping our furniture so it wouldn't get scratched, etc. They weren't wrapping it until they took it to the truck. I asked them why they weren't wrapping it and they told me they did it in the truck. I told them it would get scratched going out and their response was that they were being very careful. Not only did we have several pieces of furniture scratched and damaged, they dropped three pieces of furniture, busted off the foot of a brand new dresser and deeply scratched other pieces. Every time we go into a room to unpack, we find more damage to our furniture. They were also supposed to take the furniture apart and put it back together. We're still finding washers and extra screws that were not put back into our furniture and we don't know where it goes on some things.
Then a move we were told would take 4 hours ended up taking about 10. The guys were so tired, they were dropping things and were clearly not able to do anymore. They didn't even move all our furniture because their truck was too full and they couldn't fit it all in. Needless to say we were NOT happy. My husband made 8 more trips in his F350 with a trailer trying to get the rest of our belongings out of that house. I will never use this mover again. I have moved 36 times in 37 years and this was by far the worst!!!
Then the cost was also double what we were told it would be. We explained what we had in the house, but nobody came out and looked, they just gave us a price over the phone. It was ridiculous. I was surprised nobody ever called us after to follow up on our move and ask us about it. So now I'm writing a review because nobody ever bothered to call or give us a survey or care what they did to our stuff! We moved April 1st, I guess we were the fools to use this company!

On April 8, 2016 I contacted All My Sons Moving and Storage to get a quote for my upcoming move on May 6, 2016. Jason ** from All My Sons Moving and Storage contacted me during the afternoon on April 8, 2016 and gave me the following quote after our discussion about the contents of the move: 4 men $169 per hour/3 hour minimum. I agreed and provide my credit card number for the "deposit" totaling $169.00 and was told this deposit would deduct from the final bill. I contact Jason ** again on April 30, 2016 to confirm my move. Jason promptly responded to let me know that someone would be contacting me a day or two prior to the move. I was contacted on May 4, 2016 and was told the moving team would arrive on May 6, 2016 between 8-12pm.
On May 6, 2016 the team and team leader Chris arrived and started at 9:30am after Chris walking me through some paperwork. Both my husband and I walked the whole team through the house and showed everything that would be moved. This included all rooms, closets, backyard, etc. At that point I asked that they: 1) not use Saran wrapping as I had my own, 2) tape as I had my own, 3) wardrobes I agreed to pay for. After requesting this three times there were no wardrobes on the truck. My expectations was that all furniture would wrapped in moving blankets, however the team kept using for the most part the Saran wrap and tape.
From the starting point of the move to “completion” was about 3 hours. We did a quick walkthrough the house and we left for our new home. We had asked the movers to leave behind lamps as we would transport them and we also needed to come back to the house to clean. This team was a nice enough group of men, however constant follow up was needed as they would need to be told again and again "You need to take this box, you need to do this, etc…" We arrived at our new home, and had to wait while Chris was on the phone with his corporate office to get the final pricing. I chose not to use a credit card, which I now regret even though there was a 3% “surcharge” to use a credit card. I looked down as Chris was totaling up the final cost.
At this point I questioned two items: 1) Final time for the completion 6.75 hours which meant almost 4pm, 2) $140 for supplies. I wanted an itemized bill and received nothing. The moving team completed the move in a very sloppy manner - and I called about this too. Boxes clearly marked for the 2nd floor dumped in the garage because they were too lazy to take the boxes up the stairs. I glanced at my phone about 15 minutes after they left and the time was 2:45. The move took 5 hours and not 6.75 hours. The moving team left without refunding $295.75. I was charged and paid $1,196.56.
I immediately called the corporate office and spoke with Wendell. I explained the issue and he stated “Yes the driver called in the change of time from 6.75 hours to 5.50," which is incorrect. And he then states “So what’s the problem?” I proceeded to tell him that the moving team did not return my money, nor did they leave me an itemized bill. I was told the owner John would call me, and he did and said none of the moving team was answering their phones. John again called and said that Chris would come back and return the money. I said fine. We were going back to the pick-up address and to meet me there.
My husband and I go back to the home we moved from, and noticed 9 boxes were not taken as we explicitly asked. These were large and heavy boxes. I again call the corporate office and spoke with Lacey, and told her the move was not completed. Lacey told me John was not available and she would contact the moving team and call me back. About a half hour later Chris calls me, the moving team leader. He did apologize, and I gave him the benefit of the doubt as he admitted he did not refund my money and claimed it was just an oversight. Chris then proceeded to tell me he was in Lenox, and could be back to my home in a half hour to return the money and finish the move. However, Lacey said I would need to be charged for the “additional move”. Are you kidding me? If not they would mail me a refund check.
Chris then became somewhat hostile and wanted to know what I told the owner John. Again I told him I gave him the benefit of the doubt. So my husband and I were put in the position of having to scramble to get a van and move all the boxes and items we just paid $1,196.56 for. This is absolutely outrageous. On May 9, 2016, I again call the corporate office to confirm that I will be sent a refund check. Again I get Wendell who seemed confused as Chris the lead mover, told him and the owner that he came back to my home, paid me the money I was owed and completed the move. This is an outright lie. I again got the co-owner is not in the office, and 5 minutes later she was in a meeting and will call me. I waited to almost 5pm, no call.
I call back and I get Lacey who transfers me to Wendell who has the audacity to tell me to be “patient”. Be patient, your company is withholding money from me that you know you owe me; you have questionable people you send into customers’ homes. Mind you we were very nice to the whole moving crew, tipped them very well. Purchased coffee for them and spoke to them and treated them as equals. Each time I call I get the runaround, and BS spiel. I get the feeling it’s a game to you. I will not accept this and will do what I need to do to get my money back that you are withholding for the time difference and you did not complete the move. This company is a disgrace and should be shut down.

Wishing I had read the internet reviews by former customers of All My Sons prior to contracting their services. Had I done so, I would have chosen a more honest and reliable moving company. To get straight to the point, the facts of my March 10, 2016 move are as follows: Advised the "salesman" that my budget was $600. Was promised that a move kept under 4 hours would be $570. At the end of the move within 3 hours, they would not unload the truck unless I paid $680.
Asked for a start time of 8am. "Salesman" promised that they would arrive at 8am. Moving truck arrived at 9am. Asked for 3 movers to ensure a fast move. 3 men arrived at 9am. 2 men were moving while the 3rd man stayed on the truck to count boxes. I'm a 40 year old female and worked harder and moved more than the 3rd man that I paid for. The movers damaged a television, specifically, scratched the screen. They knew they caused the damage. They tried to "scratch" the scratch away. Even asked if I had a lighter to see if they could melt the scratch away. I was asked to sign the claim form and they were smart enough to tell me to take a picture of the claim form with my cell phone. Advised me that I'd hear from the office within 3 days to discuss the damage and claim.
After 3 weeks, I had to call the office to inquire on status of claim. They stated they had not received the claim form and didn't know anything about the claim. I filled out another claim form for the office and included a copy of the claim form completed and signed for the movers on the day of the move. The office would not deal with me unless I paid a notary to notarize the claim form (even though their movers admitted to the damage and a claim form was signed for the movers at the time of damage).
I paid a notary and emailed the claims forms. 2 weeks later, received a call from their claims staff stating that they would not discuss settlement with me unless I promised not to post negative comments about All My Sons on the Internet. ARE YOU KIDDING? From the very beginning, All My Sons did the Wrong Thing - made promises they didn't keep and consistently failed to show that they were a company of integrity. I've worked with 5 moving companies over the last 14 years. I've never felt this compelled to post a world wide web complaint about a moving company... nor ANY company, for that matter. Please do yourself a favor, spare the headache and work with ANY other moving company - you'll be thankful for it at the end of the day.

HORRIBLE! Period. They broke, chipped and damaged so many pieces of my furniture, and then they make you do all this extra work to file claims on the furniture THEY ruined, like moving isn't time-consuming enough. I just want to be done with these cheaters, and I'm still dealing with them 2-weeks after my move. Plus, if the amount of the claim on an item exceeds $50.00, they want proof you own it (ie. a receipt)!!! Seriously? IT'S IN MY HOUSE AND YOU MOVED IT. What more proof do you need??? Unreal. They know that furniture can be old, and therefore, paper trails become impossible, so this is how they get away with damaging your property and not properly paying for it. They are a bunch of thieves and liars.
Not to mention, I was quoted under $400 for my entire move, and it came out to $871!!! HUGE JUMP. On top of it all, I waited over 3 hours for the movers to deliver my furniture, when I only moved 45-minutes away. All My Sons never even compensated me for my troubles of losing all this time on such an important and heavily stressful day. All My Sons is sketchy in every form. On 03/08/2016 "all my son movers" showed up with 3 workers (polite and hard working). They filled a 26 foot truck such that the doors would barely close. The men didn't do an inventory of our belongings which turned out to be a major problem. Ours was considered a double move because our new home wasn't closed on until the following week (03/17/2016). Our belongings were to be stored at their warehouse for up to 30 days.
When our things were delivered, it was 3:30 p.m. and it was the second move for the crew that day. Their policy is to have all the paperwork signed and balance paid for before they would even open the doors of the truck, leaving us to feel held hostage and not allowing for any time to read any of the paperwork. When the doors were opened we immediately asked where the balance of our belongings were because the truck was now only 80% full.
The response was that they were not the same crew that packed at the warehouse and that the warehouse crew must be "more efficient" at packing. This was the first red flag. They provided a sketchy inventory list which simply listed several "boxes" as such with no listing of what had been haphazardly put in each box. Close to 50% of the items had lost their inventory stickers and when I said I wanted to open the boxes, they told me that they didn't unpack boxes, they just deliver them.
I told them that I needed to know what was in the box in order for me to tell them where in the house to put things. I was supposed to be the one that checked off items as they were taken off the truck. After about the first hour the inventory sheets went by the wayside. This crew was extremely tired when they arrived at my house after completing the first move of the day. When we noticed some obvious damage to items the crew shrugged and said they would take a picture of the damage. It was dark before they were done unloading and we refused to do the evaluation onsite because it would take too much more of their time.
The next day I called the office to voice my concerns about the move. I thought that the constructive criticism might be appreciated to better the company for future moves. When I told the supervisor that there were a few obvious things missing, he said he would look into it and get back to me by the next day. I had to call him back and he said to give him to the end of the week to investigate.
I called him back on Monday because I still had not heard from him. Initially I spoke with the claims department (Jessica) and she told me that she would be out of the office for a few days which was Easter weekend I believe. I told John that we had not received a claim form and he said he would have Jessica try again the following week. When she came back she gave us the name of the third party group (CSIpros) who did email us the form on 04/06/2016. An agent was helpful in starting the claim which included damage photos, estimates for repair and replacement and summary of damaged and missing items. We submitted the claim on 05/03/2016 and was denied the same day. When I called them they told us that All My Sons had denied the claim due to time limit.
When I called Jessica back I was informed that there was a 30 day time limit which conveniently was never mentioned. She said she would look into it since we had a "double move". I tried to reach her for the next three days and finally asked to talk to a manager. He as well told me he would review my case. He asked for a day to look into it and promised to call me back on Monday 05/09/2016 even if he didn't have a definitive answer. He never called and I called him back today(05/10/2016). He said there was nothing he could do because it had exceeded the time limit regardless of how many times I had spoken to them regarding my claim.
I asked him to explain the time frame which from 04-06 to 05/03 didn't even add up to 30 days (which I never knew about to begin with). He eventually hung up on my husband because we were getting irate with frustration. I told him I would file another complaint with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and anyone else that I could. He assured me that they would return any of the missing items if they should arise and I am confident that the whole process is designed to protect themselves and do nothing for the unassuming customer.

I will never recommend this company to noone!!! I'm very displeased to know that this company has hidden fees that they don't tell you about and they lied about everything. I set up my move to be April 30th over a week & a half before my move. The next thing I knew I received a call from Diane the day before my move asking can I change plans to move on the day of the 29th because they had too many other jobs that day! I said what??? Excuse me??? I told Diane then you shouldn't even booked me for the day that I called for then. When the movers arrived they even told me about the hidden fees which I wasn't aware of. My quote was first $360 plus tax at the start. My son & I helped the 2 men movers carry everything downstairs to the truck to be loaded by them. It took one hour.
We left to my destination that was 20 minutes away. Holy cow the guy called the office & Diane said my bill was over $650!! I lived on the third floor of apts. For each step from top of steps to bottom I was charged a fee! Really! This is insane! My sister had to step in because it wasn’t right. She spoke to Diane and told her that no this is impossible to be paid. This wasn't what I was quoted and you will have to work something out because this is very unprofessional! Diane then agreed to discount and take off hidden fees, mileage fees, etc. I even gave workers water plus helped which they thanked me. I told them they were the professional ones. They took the sword from where it was packed and replaced it with a Ninja sword as if I would not know the difference. The movers were not careful nor did they seem to have any basic knowledge of lifting items up stairs or packing a truck efficiently. My husband had to instruct them how to lift items while going up the stairs (one lifting low and one high).
Unfortunately, the poor handling resulted in many damages to my items. The most concerning is my treadmill which is the most devastating of them all. I have had items damaged in other moves but the movers came and told me about them. This time the movers were not upfront about what had happened. They just left the damages for me to discover later, or like the treadmill they broke it and then came and asked us if it was broken. I didn't realize the full extent until I had a chance to see it in the garage of my new home. We were also misquoted about the fuel charge and still paid part of it. It has been two weeks since the move, multiple phone calls, emails, and texts and no resolution about my broken items.

To begin with their truck broke down on the way to N.C. and they were days late. In the meantime we had to stay in a hotel until they arrived plus we paid $110 a day for our 3 dogs, since they were not allowed in the hotel with us. This added hundreds of dollars to our move. Then we had multiple antique furniture pieces broken when they arrived. The driver did not even remove one crushed table, it was so destroyed! The driver was also trying to repair pieces as he unpacked the truck.
We paid for all the antique china packed, and they did not even put paper between cups, so there were numerous antique china cups broken. A rare antique urn was crushed, because it was not packed properly! We had table, antique French bed, and an antique cabinet with antique detailing broken off! Worst of all, my rare antique 4 foot porcelain statue was destroyed! It was packed on top of a stack of magazines with one PAPER pad around it! We paid for it to be packed and told them it was the most valuable piece we owned!!! It was crushed! Our claim was turned down today, and they said they were not paid to pack, when we have receipts for packing! They said they are not responsible for anything after 120 days of handling the claim!

All My Sons moved my home items (3 bedroom ranch w/ basement) from my old house to my new home on Friday 3/25. A three-man crew arrived at 9 am and finished unloading around 3:45 pm, at an hourly rate of $149 per hour. After nearly 7 hours of moving, a number of damaged furniture items as well as one totaled bookshelf, we found they had left behind a number of pieces of furniture (two bookcases, one entertainment center, three wire racks) as well as a number of loaded boxes. We had to rent a truck on that following Saturday 3/26 and move these items ourselves.
On a number of occasions there were periods of 5-10 minutes where nothing was being loaded/unloaded, prolonging the time it took to complete what should have been a 4 1/2 hour job (as it was with the moving company that moved us in with the same amount of furniture). The length of time it took, the amount of items left behind and the general lack of care for the items being moved was reprehensible.

They charged me over 200 for fuel charge to go 10 miles down the road. Then they tried to charge me a surcharge of 10% for using my debit card.
When we got to the new location they complained because they did not want to take anything upstairs. When I set up the move the guy convinced me that 3 men would be less time and a smoother move. Well, it was a nightmare. They did not have any experience loading and unloading the truck. On move day, 02/25/2016, things started out great. The movers took great care of our belongings. However, about midway through the move, we started noticing that there was a drastic decrease in care for our belongings as well as the home.
They wrapped the breakfast chairs but didn't wrap the dining room chairs (more expensive). They started letting heavy furniture down on wood floors rather than tile floors to decrease chance of floor damage. Some wood tables were not wrapped before placing in storage. There was a perceived negative attitude shown by one mover when we corrected the placement of a few items (they brought to apt. but should have left in storage). They left wall decorations at the home even after I informed him I would pay for blankets. They charged us for tape that was never confirmed to have been used. We chose to pay more thinking we would get better service. My wife and I were very disappointed.

I advised him my budget was based on the quote given to me by them. One of the movers stated "pay me $75.00 cash and I will call off tomorrow and come and move all of your boxes." I advised him NO... then he stated that this stuff normally only happens to "older people." I asked what stuff... He said only showing up to move a few things and not everything. It took them one hour and 15 minutes to load 25 pieces of furniture... it was all taken apart and my husband and I helped move the stuff to the main floor and had a dolly for them to use!
My husband went to the local office in Hilliard and was told by the manager Danny (who I spoke with on Saturday) it is what it is. I have been calling and emailing with a person named Doug, who insists that I never mentioned the boxes. My last email to him included the taped conversation I had when I called in to give them my deposit, which I mentioned everything that was to be moved. He stated that since I had all the boxes and totes in the garage and most of the furniture was on the main floor it would be a load and go and should be done in my time quoted. It cost me $431.50 to move 25 pieces of furniture less than 15 miles!
I have requested $200.00 back since I had to move all the rest of my items. They continue to tell me no. I am going to my local news station and continuing with my complaint there as well. NEVER EVER use this company for a move. Our experience with All My Sons was nothing but a nightmare from the moment they walked into my house until present day and will continue into the future when I view my personal items that they "professionally" moved. They arrived late, then refused to start working because apparently the total bill had not been paid in full yet, even though we checked with the manager that very morning to make sure everything was in line. They were rude and making derogatory comments to our hired moving supervisor. They charged me a full day pay for the entire crew and were there only 5 hours and never reimbursed me the time. (Even though they promised me they would.) I had to hire someone to be there to supervise because I had to move while out-of-state. The hired supervisor called me in a panic because they immediately started destroying my carpets.
They moved an almost 4000 square foot home in 5 hours if that tells you how shoddy of a job they did. When the PODS mover got there he called me greatly concerned about my so called "packed" personal belongings and didn't even want to move the POD because he said "your stuff will for sure get destroyed". He even took pictures and sent them to me. I wish I could upload these pictures for all the world to see. They didn't even lock my PODS when they were done, even though they were provided locks. When the PODS mover got there he knew something was wrong because not only were my PODS not locked, one of them was open which lead to him investigating my mover's performance. So I have no idea if people got into my PODS and stole my stuff.
When trying to call the manager regarding our complaints, even after multiple attempt he would not even return our calls. We submitted a claim to corporate and not only did corporate tell us they would not be granting any refund (even for services charged that were not provided) they weren't even going to be responsible for my destroyed items in the move.

This was by far the worst moving experience ever. I hired All My Sons moving (Oklahoma City) to move 4 items. I was given an estimate of $388, but after the items were on the truck they informed me that it would be $600 to move my items less than 5 miles. The 3 movers arrived and seemed angry that they had to move my items & were cussing like sailors. I was told in an email from the Manager James, prior to the move that all my items would be packed/wrapped to ensure safe delivery, but all 4 items were basically thrown in the back of a truck unprotected.
Once they arrived at my new house, they immediately drop the first item off of the truck ($1000 desk) destroying it. One mover came to me & said "we have a situation" & when I came out, the first thing another mover said to me was "Yeah, were not covering that". When I inquired why he stated that it was made of plywood. I of course became upset & then was told by the largest mover that he was to beat my ** all over my driveway while the other 2 movers stood in the truck snickering. I immediately went in & called the Manager who in turn called the movers. The violent mover then apologized stating that he just got out of the penitentiary & was adjusting to being on the outside. Yes, All My Sons sent this guy to my house.
After this altercation, the movers took absolutely no care in moving the other items. My desk was left broken in my driveway. They put a horizontal scratch along the entire face of my new refrigerator & scratched up my new wood floors bringing it in, broke a leg off of my dresser & left the adjustable bed leaning up against the wall instead of reassembling it (also damaged the wall moving it in). Again, they didnt pack anything & simply used a cheap 2-wheel dolly to move everything.
I turned in a claim for the $2500 in damages not including the $600 I paid for them to break everything that they touched, & was sent a reply that they would pay me $295. On top of the absolutely horrible situation, now I have to hire an attorney in order to get my items replaced. Run away from this company. After the initial estimate, we were hounded with calls asking for our business. I had 3 other contractors that I was looking at, but we decided to give All My Sons a chance - a huge mistake that will take some time to recover from.

They immediately said that we were underbid and insisted on another thousand+ to cover additional packing supplies. I remained out of their way while they worked. They proceeded to throw things in any box in the house... Clothes ended up with kitchen items, bathroom supplies were thrown in with toys. They wanted me to sign that they were done at noon. I asked them about the pictures, items in the outside storage space, the random items left in each room, window treatments. They said the bid did not cover pictures and time would be a problem because they had to go. They then threw a stack of boxes on the ground in front of me and told me that I could use those for the extra items.
I asked them about my rocking chair on the front porch because it wouldn't fit in my car and they opened the back of the truck to throw it in before they pulled out of the driveway. I was left standing in my kitchen looking at a mess. Unpacked pieces and items in every room... Boxes of packing tape and paper, stacks of unused, half filled, and untaped boxes. They were to drop items off 2 1/2 hours away that evening. I got a call when they should have been at the new house, telling me that they wouldn't be there until the morning. Some of the men had to be brought to Greenville and dropped off, now their work day was done. I was not happy and let them know. My husband and I slept on the floor that night.
The next morning, they used two men to drop off our belongings. Both were huffy and rude. I asked if they wanted their extra tape and boxes back that were not used. One of them said, "No. You paid for them" and smugly walked out of the house. As we unpacked, there were several items that had been broken and an unusual amount of wrapping paper filling half empty boxes. My husband and I hired All My Sons Moving and Storage on November 13th, 2015 to move us from one home to another here in Atlanta. The three guys arrived on time, but it soon became obvious that only two of them was competent. The truck they brought was way too small, the items that could fit on the truck were disassembled and a number of items that should not have been disassembled were crammed from our garage into a much too small space causing a lot of damage.
This also caused us to have to move a substantial amount of remaining items ourselves in our personal vehicle. My beautiful standing lamp is completely broken and there are scratches and dents on several other items which we decided not to disclose, based upon our conversation with one of their employees who promised us that they would refund us. Once we arrived to the second destination, one of the movers stayed outside on his cell phone while the one was downstairs making small talk with me. At that point my husband called me upstairs to ask me a question on where I wanted to place something. My purse was downstairs.
Finally, after the move was over and I went into my purse to pull out some cash I realized $100 was taken out of my purse (I had just taking $300 out of the ATM). I mentioned it to my husband, but he advised me to just stay calm and possibly think if I could have placed it somewhere else. Which I knew I hadn't. After they left we started checking on our items and soon realized my jewelry box which was initially all sealed up, had the tape removed and all of the items had been moved around. Then in my husband's son's room one of the movers stole everything out of his son's piggy bank.
You cannot imagine the feeling of being violated by someone stealing from you, especially from a child's piggy bank and my purse! I also want to note we bought them lunch and gave them a nice tip because we didn't find out until later that certain items were gone! About a month before my move, I scheduled everything and paid the required $50 deposit. At 5:00PM the day before the 8:00 AM move, they call me to tell me that they will have to move me to the afternoon delivery which would be around noon. I agreed because I figured where would I find another mover with a day's notice. Finally at 1:30pm when I had not heard from them I called the office and was told they were on their way. At 2:30 pm when they still had not arrived so I called and the office and no one could not tell me when they would arrive. I told them to cancel the move and refund my deposit, they argued that I was at fault and they would not refund my deposit. Fortunately I found another company that had a truck available for the next day. After reading the reviews on here, I am very glad I fired them, even if it does cost me $50, probably saved me $100s in damages.

I worked for the company for almost 3 years as a Manager in Training and eventually a Manager in KS and Ohio. The company practices very poor standards of treatment towards employees and customers. You will get a sales pitch of quality trained employees and a quality move. NOTHING could be farther from the truth. The employees make $9 and typically you will get the crew that gives the company the best profitability. Also the initial phone quote is by an untrained/unskilled salesperson who will quote you a price that is missing several key components. The salesperson will not disclose a charge for travel time, not discharge charges for supplies or fuel for the job. Also you will be required to pay whatever charge they want or they will refuse to unload your belongings at the new place.
The worst part is that if any of your belongings are damaged, it is almost certain it will never get repaired. Also the sales agent will not tell you about the protection plan that is offered to you the customer at.60 cents per pound per item. If your 100lb LED tv is dropped and busted you are only liable to get $60 dollars for it and it will take weeks for that to happen. The last but most important aspect all customers should remember is that the company bases what business it will do daily on the best profit each job will make. That means if your 3 bedroom house doesn't have a high $ rate for the crew you could be canceled, or told the truck broke down. Basically if this company is talking to you, it is a 75/25 chance it's a lie.

The contract I signed included help with packing including boxes. They wrapped my glassware with blankets and hand only a wardrobe box to put it in. The contract was for three men and they only sent two. I was told it won't take all day to move one bedroom with almost no furniture. They charged me the 8 hours flat rate. The drivers were behind me on the way to the new house and they detoured for 30 minutes - left me waiting for them - just enough time to stop the truck and take off anything valuable. I haven't been able to get through the line anymore. The owners I spoke to said there is nothing they can do about it. I have filed a police report. Do not let this happen to you!!! Finally, on the 3rd reschedule date, they did not show, nor notify me that they were not coming. When I contacted them, they could not tell me why they did not show. After an hour, I received a text explaining that their truck was down and they had NO other trucks. A moving company with only 1 truck and they are own by Graebel??? I was also told that the women in the office were not in and they were having labor issues. What type of a company are they running? My recommendation is NOT to even use them. Go with another company, call your friends, call your family, call your coworkers or do it by yourself and never consider them. Wanna hear a fun story? Proceed to read!
My mom and I packed up our vacation home in Davie, FL. My mom FLEW IN FROM ARIZONA to help do this. She had a flight later on that day. My mom arranged the pick-up between 12pm-1pm this past Saturday (12/19). The movers did not come between that time. Each hour after the time slot my mom would call for an update. The operations manager, who cannot operate a thing, would always answer the phone stating he has the answers. WHAT ANSWERS??? Every time we asked for an update he would just say they're running late. He didn't give us an approximate time or anything when they'd be arriving. He had NO ANSWERS! How are you a manager and don't know what's taking your crew so long and when they'll be on to the next job??? And he would keep telling my mom at the end of each call he'll call her back with an update and NEVER called her back with any update.
The movers finally came around 4pm! 4PM!!! Remember I told ya'll my mom flew in town to move the stuff and had a flight later that day? Do you think a woman with a 7pm flight made it to the airport??? NO!!! She had to catch another flight. Which cost what??? MORE MONEY!!! Do you think this company offered anything for the inconvenience??? NO! They just said "sorry" and were never truly remorseful. It's like when you something just to end the conversation cause you really aren't sorry and couldn't care less because you're still going to be paid either way.
Anyways, after they loaded the truck, keep in mind these movers didn't move our electronics and things like that, they said they don't do that so we had to move those items on our own, they met my mom at the storage. Once at the storage, they put a stand in my car. We wanted the stand to come to my new place. But they didn't load the shelves that came with the stand in my car. They put everything else in the storage and did a less than mediocre job when it came to moving stuff into the storage so that you could actually utilize space to walk in it. I ended up moving some of the furniture and made way more space, since I did it NEATLY! Oh yeah, some of the bedroom furniture had so many scratches and dings in it to the point where the paint was scrapped off. It looks awful now, but the furniture didn't have a scratch or ding in it when they loaded it on their truck.
Now you remember when I mentioned the shelves to the stand were not moved to my car as well? So we've been calling the mover who moved the furniture, his name is Damien, as well as the company to see if they have them on the truck because they're not in the old apartment or the storage room. Guess what they said??? "We don't have it and our truck was empty when we left." LIES, FAIRY TALES AND FALLACIES!!! To chop it up, the experience was awful. They will ruin your property, not unload everything and claim their truck is empty, be ridiculously late, not give you updates when they state they will and still expect you to pay the full price. They already have your card information when you reserve the pick-up. They'll mess it all up and you pay for it! Now that's the end of story time. DO NOT MESS WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY'RE FULL OF **!

Although there were 4 people on the crew, at the end of the day individual crew members were carrying heavy pieces of furniture alone when they were obviously tired, and bumping into walls and doorways. Damage ranged from paint smears on furniture from rubbing against doorways to dents, scratches, dings, fabric tears and a corner broken clean off of a table. I should have been suspicious when the salesperson (Jason), failed to send me a confirmation of what we agreed to via email, but as I had used them 9 years ago with no problems, I didn't think it was necessary. BIG MISTAKE. After loading my items, the two movers (there were supposed to be three via the quote), the mover called and was told to collect 40% of the quote based on a final price of over $5000. I refused to do so and the dispatcher lowered the price to a figure of $4600 based on storage fees, materials, etc. As they already had my stuff on the truck, it was kind of hard to argue at this point.
When they finally got to Charleston, they said they were going to collect the final 50% of the cost prior to unloading. Luckily for me, they couldn't get ahold of anyone and went ahead and unloaded my stuff (this was 7-8 pm at night). Finally, after unloading, they reached their dispatcher and the price had gone up to $6300. I refused to pay this and as they had already unloaded my stuff. When my stuff was moved from a storage unit to a large room in a house, my stuff was literally "thrown" in the room. I called and complained at this time. I spoke with Larry the officer manager who was less than helpful. Then I spoke with Chris the owner. He was actually very rude and never apologized. I was so upset I got my boyfriend to call. After they left and I had pictures to prove how my belongings were placed in the room and things scattered everywhere you couldn't even close the back door!
Chris (only after speaking with my boyfriend) sent the two movers back to my house and they moved some of my items around. On top of this, a very expensive lamp just disappeared! There were two of them. They only had my move and one other move that day. My lamp was never found. I know it was left on their truck. Everyone should write reviews when they have good or bad experiences so others can see. Unfortunately I have nothing good to say about ALL MY SONS MOVING & STORAGE of SIMPSONVILLE.

I had to call him back at which time I was told that they would do a claim against my missing lamp. That wasn't even done. I was then told that I needed to call Customer Care and they would help me. Larry the office manager and Chris the owner NEVER apologized for my bad experience and for losing my lamp. I know that I will tell everyone (I already have told family and friends) NOT to use this company for numerous reasons. It took forever and it was a simple move. This is to run your moving cost up. Not one person explained this not even Patrick who must be the one in charge I spoke with lastly. Patrick claims he explained (more so he raddled things so fast I barely understood what he was saying) the 2 hr. minimum and fuel charges. 2 hr. Minimum would have been $260 + taxes and fuel. My husband and I have moved many times, including several international moves, and this was by far the worst experience we have ever had. All My Sons sent an inadequate number of movers for the job, grossly underestimated the time needed, spent 22 hours instead of the scheduled 9 hours to pack and load our belongings, broke or damaged over 30 items during the move, and lost at least 3 separate boxes containing clothing, books, and pantry items.
When we first met with the company, the move-out job was estimated to take 9 hours, and I specifically asked whether that included both packing AND loading the truck, and whether we needed to set aside 2 days. I was told that the 9 hours was for both packing and loading. On our move-out day, a crew of 3 movers showed up and began packing. It soon became clear that they were behind schedule, and they started calling the office to request more movers. My husband also called, but we were told that there were no more movers available. The original crew kept packing throughout the night, and the job was not completed until the following morning, almost 22 hours after they had begun.
This meant that many of our items were packed extremely poorly, in some cases literally thrown into boxes with no packing paper or packing materials of any kind. After 6 days of storing our items, All My Sons came to our new home to unload our belongings and reassemble our furniture. They did send more movers this time, but as our furniture was brought in, we noticed fresh scrapes and scratches on a number of pieces. Several bookshelves were cracked and broken. As we opened boxes and began unpacking, we found many broken items, including a number of irreplaceable items that we had either received as wedding gifts or acquired together overseas.
We had over 30 items damaged, with massive evidence of incompetent packing. Many items, including an expensive printer and a small TV, were packed with no paper or wrapping of any kind. Most inexplicable is the fact that at least 3 separate boxes were either lost or stolen--containing clothing (including several pairs of expensive designer jeans), an entire bookshelf's worth of children's books, and a box of items from our pantry. When we called to ask about the missing items, we were told that they have no explanation for where they might be or how they could have disappeared.
For this move, we went with the standard basic insurance coverage, thinking that our belongings should be safe considering the fact that we were moving only a few miles away and storing our items for only a few days. Now that so many of our items have been damaged or lost/stolen, we will need to submit a claim to recover a little bit of the expense of repairing and replacing our belongings. The maximum we can get is 60 cents per pound of damaged/missing items. In conclusion, our experience with All My Sons Moving & Storage was truly terrible, and we would NOT recommend their services to anybody.

Warning: Avoid All My Sons Moving and Storage if you plan on moving efficiently and in a cost-effective manner. After scheduling a pick-up for 7:30 am, we were called at the last minute to push the pick up back to 12:00 pm, then again to 2:00 pm, then to 5:30 pm. The movers arrived with a half-full truck and were unable to load all of our furniture and boxes. This problem lengthened the time it took to load and will force us to finish moving without the hired help or packing materials that we scheduled.
At 10:00 pm, after sitting in his moving truck talking on the phone for 30 minutes, the mover in charge of billing finally stepped out to collect payment and begin unloading. His boss refused my request to speak and did not answer any of my husband and I's numerous phone calls. After running 10 hours late and being unable to move all of our furniture, the manager told his mover he could offer a $99 discount, only if we asked. The $99 barely covers the 30 minutes of time the mover spent sitting in his van attempting to reach the manager and surely does not cover the extra time and gas my husband will now spend finishing up the move on his own!
All My Sons Moving's management provides TERRIBLE customer service! Although many of these problems were caused by management, the movers scratched walls in various locations, splashed water in the bathroom and clogged the toilet without informing anyone, and threw their fast food trash in the road while pulling out of our driveway. If a larger discount is not offered by management tomorrow, my husband and I will be taking follow-up action!

DO NOT use these guys! Moving is stressful enough, but when your movers call at 8 am to say they aren't coming at the time they were supposed to arrive, it takes things to a whole new level. We are still experiencing the pains of this move. Our experience was a complete nightmare and the way in which it was handled by Mike and Danny completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I was assured when I booked that they were the right team for the job everyone is vested in the company then explain to me how a crew of 4 guys cannot show up for a move? And what kind of business calls the morning of your move to tell you this? I even spoke to them earlier in the week to confirm our crew of 4 would be there first thing. Mike offered no solution, was smug-and at times laughed and made light of the situation.
Totally unprofessional. "Yeah, we can't make it today so we'll come tomorrow" What!!! We needed to be out of our house that day "tomorrow" was not a solution. There was no attempt to correct the situation by Mike. We received a call later in the morning from Danny who informed me they might be able to get a crew out by noon. Might is not very convincing where we come from. I told him to keep me posted and in the meantime we were making other arrangements and getting things done. He called a couple times after to say 1:00 then 2:00 and finally a team showed up at 2:00 (6 hours late with no promises of showing up at all) to help with the heavier items (Jason and his team was the only good thing about the company, polite and professional they were tipped accordingly). But by this time, our friends had moved all of our boxes and half of our furniture leaving us extremely grateful, but also in an extremely disorganized new home.
So prior to them showing, we got to work. We rented a truck, called in friends and hired a couple of our nicest college buddies to help with the heavy lifting. This was all extra costs to us, $500. But the complete and utter stress this company caused, the time it took away from us and about 12 of our friends and family, not to mention the additional time we'll have sorting through and rearranging things, being that more than 75% of our move was done by people who aren't professional movers is what I take a huge issue with.
What I take an even bigger issue with, is that Danny argued with my husband over payment. No apologies. No accountability. They made two trips when they really only needed to make one at this point. Which was more time and money, but was clear that the main reason was to go back for 2 big ticket items and hold them on the truck until we paid them. Stay away from these guys. They'll sell you on sending a bigger crew than 2 Men and a Truck or Leaders, and then send no crew at all.

On the day of moving, the crew (3 men to move a 3 bedroom house) arrived several hours late. Upon packing the master bedroom, they discovered that the amount of wardrobes were grossly underestimated. They called for more packing materials and even the additions were not sufficient. We were told they could improvise and all would be good. Since our belongings were going into storage for 3 or so weeks we were greatly concerned but were told that they would stay on the truck and not moved about until our move in date. That was a bald-faced lie as it turned out and shame on us for believing them. Of course the damage was terrifying and they even lost several boxes.
We called and called and they finally sent out a man to see what he could do and he did clean some things and touched up and repaired where he could. Meanwhile I had to replace lampshades, pillow shams and other items that never showed up. So when I itemized the damage amount I proceeded to dispute the amount to my credit card company who was not successful in the chargeback. Called to set it up for them to move my bedroom furniture and a washer/dryer from my house to my son's house (approx. 40 miles). Professional and friendly Amber said "not a problem... We can do that in 3 hours for $357. Just need a deposit of $119." Moving day spoke with Greg who does not explain and talks fast. Said he would send 3 guys so it would go faster but, would not charge. They arrived and had everything loaded in 45 minutes.
I left right behind them and noticed they stopped for lunch. I realize the truck goes slower than me, however, they arrived 45 to 50 minutes after me. He wanted the cash upfront before unloading the truck. He told me that would be an additional $707. Unacceptable - I spoke with Greg and told him I didn't think I should have to pay for them to eat lunch. He so kindly reduced it to $477 + the $119 I already paid = $596 / $239 more than Ms. Amber quoted me. Live and learn.. but, I can assure you I would never use them again or recommend them. This was not my fault.. I will know next time to check Consumer Affairs... Hope this helps someone with their choice of movers.

First of all we were moving only 15 min away... very little. They sent three movers. They packed what little belongings we had and moved us. My things from the kitchen were thrown in the box. Broke two of my dishes. But what upset me the most was my Princess House crystal vase that never made it in our new place. I did not discover the vase till 3 weeks later. We kept things in the boxes because we did not have time to unpack due to our work schedules. We were also charged almost 800.00 for this move and it was less than 3 hrs. It was not necessary to send three men!!!
I would never recommend this company to anyone that values their belongings and does not want to get ripped off. VERY UNSATISFIED AND ANGRY. CAN NOT REPLACE WHAT THEY LOST OR STOLE. I have no idea what could have happened to vase that was supposed to be wrapped and put in a box. I called the company and was told sorry but move is done and I should have reported it earlier. Now too much time has passed and I still have no resolution.

I set up a day to move and they called the day before to verify everything but when I asked a question (apparently I had already asked this question) he became irritated because I wanted to make sure of the charges... His voice got louder and he became very arrogant. It was then that I decided that I would not be using them for the move.

I used All My Sons Moving in Charleston, SC this October and can only say thank you. They were late, but considering the traffic around here it was understandable, they did call. Once they got here, they came in and started wrapping furniture that needed it and moved it. Took an hour more than first thought, but we had more than we thought. They worked hard, were very polite and pleasant. Would definitely use them again here in Charleston. Thank you.

We hired "All My Sons Moving" via their internet ad and very friendly telephone conversations. They advertised that they were based in Fort Myers, Florida and we were moving from Rhode Island to Ft. Myers. They told us they would give us 24 to 48 hours notice for arrival within the time block convenient for us. They failed to honor that commitment and instead phoned and said, "We are 40 minutes away." We talked to a Patrick in Ft. Myers and we compromised saying they could come to our home in 3 hours. We were now rushed and we had not finished the packing we had intended to do and we had to scramble to get a motel room for that night, an extra expense we were not expecting.
The men who prepared our big pieces of furniture were very careful in their wrapping with quilts and tape. There were two items that didn't get into a packing box either by All My Sons or by us: a firebox/safe and a fishing box used as a tool box. 4 pieces of furniture were labeled for a stop in Atlanta GA, labeled by All by Sons as well as by us. Aside from making us rush, get an extra night in a motel I have no real complaints about the men who came to pack our belongings.
The stop in Atlanta had a problem. They mistook a wrapped Teacart as something to be left in Atlanta. They unwrapped the Teacart and fortunately the person in Atlanta said that was not to be left, that the teacart needed to be rewrapped and taken to Florida. He watched them put the Teacart on the truck and he said, "You need to rewrap that furniture, it is very valuable." And he was told they would rewrap it in the truck, they needed to move along. Our belongings arrived in South West Florida and were placed in their storage warehouse to be brought to us at some later date.
When the furniture was delivered a week after pick-up we began the nightmare of dealing with All My Sons. They would not take anything off the truck until they were paid. They insisted that we agree that the inventory was complete BEFORE they would take anything off the truck. Even with the argument, "How do we know the inventory is complete just because you say so?" was a mute point. They were ready to go back to the warehouse near the airport in Ft. Myers. They said right up front, "Sorry we have a piece of broken furniture." It was the TEACART, one of the legs was snapped off!! An antique and very sentimental piece of furniture. And it was delivered UNWRAPPED.
An upholstered chair was unwrapped and the arm had been snapped off--a clean break, a relatively simple repair, but the chair was an antique as well. A metal filing cabinet must have been dropped because the drawers were all bent and only with enormous effort could we open the file cabinet, not useable in this condition at all! 3 broken items and when we complained we were told their insurance would pay 60 cents a pound. Hardly enough to cover a craftsman to repair two antiques and for the purchase of a new file cabinet.
NOW HERE IS THE BIG ISSUE. Our firebox/safe and toolbox were missing!! Patrick said they were misplaced. They would need two weeks to check all their trucks traveling north and south and check their warehouses. We said they were stolen and we called the police. The police said it is hard to prove a safe and tool box were stolen, and All My Sons know it. They are getting away with theft. This is a serious matter and no one wants to address it... interstate theft and the breach of contract to deliver personal property in the condition they received it. How easy to just "misplace" a safe and a tool box. In trying to deal with All My Sons over these items the conversations got uglier and uglier and to the place where they refused our phone calls. It has been over two months since our move and we have NOT heard from All My Sons nor the 3rd party insurance company.
I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. I would like the local police and the State Police to begin to investigate this company since I am not the only one to have this happen to me - over 400 negative reviews and many of them about stolen property and broken furniture. This company is very dishonest and they are taking advantage of those of us who have trusted them with all of our personal property.

We hired All My Sons Moving and Storage to move our furniture. They warrantied that they would carefully wrap and move our furniture. They damaged our dining room hutch and the furniture needs to be replaced. We filed a claim with their service department as instructed but they have done nothing to compensate us for the ruined furniture.
