I hired All My Sons Moving Company in Carrollton, TX to conduct my 1 bedroom 1 bathroom move. Although the movers were courteous and respectful they were extremely inexperienced. It took them almost 6 hours to complete my move. Here are the details. I was downsizing from a 2 bedroom apt to a 1 bedroom, there was no travel time involved as to new residence was located within the same complex. I had 20 boxes all of which were already taped and labeled. The movers only had to disassemble a king size sleigh bed. The movers struggled getting my sofa set out of the first apartment, and damaged it completely trying to get it through a narrow stairway. My leather sofa set suffered tears and scratches along the entire set. They even scratched my king bed and dresser. Due to them trying to squeeze my sofa through the stairway corridor they chipped paint off of the wall. The gentlemen apologized for the damage and took pictures.
However after I contacted a supervisor after they left pictures of damage weren't turned in and the Supervisor was not empathetic nor did he ever call me back to rectify situation. I was charged $707 for one bedroom and couch set move. I have emailed the operations manager twice and called multiple times and he still hasn't returned my call. Do not do business with this company.

I hired this moving company at the end of June. They were to move me from Marion, AR to North Little Rock, AR. The movers were great until I noticed that they put none of the screws back in my bed. They just laid the mattress on top. I finally figured out why my bed was making funny noises. I complained to the Supervisor/Owner. To this date nothing has been done. I sent my receipts but still no refund. This is crazy! Do not use this company.

Scheduled a move with them. They gave me a window of time that they will arrive. I waited 30 minutes after the end quote of time they would be there to call and was given a whole bunch of excuses and they would be there in 30 minutes. After an hour and a half I called back, told them to credit my credit card back the deposit and to cancel. They offered me a “substantial discount”. I didn’t feel comfortable using a company that doesn’t communicate with their customers to tell them they are running late.

I spoke to an agent and got information on a quote as part of fact finding. When he called to follow up and I said that we had found someone else he just hung up on me! Lacked class! It wouldn't have been much to say thank you for the opportunity to quote but if that's the mentality of the company then I'm glad we didn't go with them.

All My Sons is without a doubt the WORST moving company I have ever hired. The movers damaged my belongings, hit a parked car with their truck, and damaged the walls of the apartment building they were helping me move into. Worst of all, it has taken me over 3 months to get any sort of compensation for these damages. Not to mention they throw in a bunch of exorbitant fees at the end of your move, so while the hourly rate might seem attractive, the final price will be just as high if not higher than any other company you choose. I'm telling you for your own good, this company is an absolute waste of money.

The 2 persons that moved my items from storage to house. Great! Sammy - office person not very professional at all. Justin was trying to make this right for me and help correct this horrible experience. Again - this is with the office personnel not the actual movers. They sound very helpful and pleasant when they answer the phone. I was supposed to have moved from storage to house on Friday, 11/1/19. No one ever called me. I took time off from work to do this. I let them know I had a total of 8-10 items. This did not happen until Sunday. And I was led to believe this would be about 325.00-350.00. It was over 500.00. I asked him to pull the call for when this was scheduled and to review what was quoted and the questions I asked. Sammy said they don’t record calls. (?). Customer Service that doesn’t record their calls???? Do not use them. I felt like I was robbed today. M **.

Technically, they did a good job with the move. One of the movers was terrific. He was kind, hard-working, and efficient. The other mover was the team lead and I could tell that she was very experienced and good at her job. But her attitude and commentary the whole time was hard to handle. She was constantly complaining and as a paying customer, it really was irritating. I was paying her, not the other way around. She gave the attitude that I was really putting her out with the amount of things I had to move. I'll admit, I have a lot of stuff, but again...I'm a paying customer. She made comments about the quality of my belongings not being up to her standards, complained about the brand of rug and mattress bags I purchased, complaining about the amount of things I had, complained about the walk from my residence to the parking space. It was one complaint and rude comment after the other.
Anyway, I won't go on. But she made feel terrible all the while I was paying a hefty price tag for this service. As mentioned, technically the job was well done. I'm just not sure I could recommend the company whole-heartedly until some customer service improvements are made. I sent an email to the company about my experience, but I have yet to hear back.

I’ve used this company twice for moving services, I felt they were more expensive but offered a higher level of customer service. All went out the window last month when 3 pcs of our furniture were broken while moving to our new place and their damage claims department offered pennies over dollars to pay for our belongings. I submitted an extensive paper work claim package with a $400 fair market value claim to replace our 3 broken used pcs of furniture. After waiting for a month, I received an $75 offer; not even enough to cover for one of the damaged items. I feel extremely disappointed as a customer with this company that it’s making good business with people that trust them with their valuable positions and when something goes wrong, they treat them unfairly. “Not a good way to conduct business.”

My husband booked them when we moved from Dallas Georgia, to 4 miles away and received a quote for $5600.00. Despite a quote I received for $3,000.00 from Two Men and a Truck, my husband chose to go with All My Sons based on the rating. The young movers were too laid back and was on the phone - did hardly anything on day one, but charged us approx 3,400.00 at the end of the day. The next day the guys were hard working and the lead guy confirmed that they will give us a discount for the not so hard working guys on day one, but charged us the balance that was due and we paid. Total was paid prior to delivery. On the day of delivery when they saw the house that we had purchased, the story changed, very conveniently.
They demanded an additional $2,000.00 - yes a TOTAL of over $7,000.00, and would NOT unload OUR furniture which we had already paid for unless the additional $2000.00 was paid. My husband had, however, gone to the bank to withdraw cash for tips for each guy as the day 2 guys promised to deliver the goods, and we were happy with them. So they waited until my husband arrived and asked him to sign for the additional payment if not the furniture will not be unloaded. The boys were good and there were a few who were hardworking and respectful. The lead guy wasn’t as respectful and joked with my husband. And then, they couldn’t put the office furniture together as they had broken 2 of the office desks.
So our office was left with broken furniture and didn’t have the decency of moving the broken furniture to the garage. After over a month of going back and forth with emails and phone calls with the manager, my husband and I decided to move the furniture as we couldn’t get to anything in the office. We also noticed a pair of shoes, 2 bottles of wine and my husband's tool box was missing. After several requests from manager for photos of a few broken pictures and a lamp including the desks, the manager refunded approx $325.00. My husband doesn’t remember exactly how much was refunded hence the approx.
We moved in April and the refund wasn’t sent until end August. This was unacceptable, however, we had no choice but pay or they would not unload our furniture. We are extremely disappointed. Over $7,000.00 to move for just 2 senior citizens? And my husband is a Vietnam era veteran - this is how he is treated? We didn’t have much of a choice but pay or we would not get our furniture. They are from Atlanta Georgia All My Sons. Disappointed.

Well started off 4 hours late then group of 3 spent more time doing nothing more than working. Was told 139 a hour. Took six hours. Bill 1200. They lie to you about charges then try call to ask why it way higher than quoted so they left with my stuff without saying a thing. I call police. They come back with broken washing machine and new leather sofa scuffed up in 5 places. Worst movers ever. Don't use and they ate my food I had packed. Was unbelievable, unprofessional and worse experience in my life so please listen and find someone else to move you or you will regret it big time and come out 500 dollars more than told. Worst company I have ever done business with period.

The customer service when signing up was great and then non-existent. The movers were very young and unprofessional. Cursing and playing loud music on their phone. I wouldn't mind the music if they were not having to look at their phones every few min and stop moving stuff. Honestly, movers are an expensive and well worth it service if you are getting what you pay for. They damaged a few items, completely broke a dresser and I am opened a Claim to get some compensation. They offer 60 cents/per pound which is nothing and cannot even replace 1 single item that was damaged. I emailed and called and get the same generic response via email each time. Their voicemail is full. This is incredibly frustrating.

A neighbor moved into my apartment building this morning. The moving company she used was 'All My Sons Moving'. We are located in Overland Park, KS. The noise the movers made (starting at 8:15 a.m.) was unbelievable! The new neighbor lives on the second floor and the movers literally bounced the empty dolly down the entire flight of concrete stairs every time they took it back to the truck. The whole building shook, my pets even hid under the bed. I would never want to disturb others like this therefore I will never hire this company!

They arrive at 5pm and set the clock at 4:45pm. They sent 3 movers instead of 2 and charged for 3 and charged for the phone call time to discuss the issue. I was told that 3 would be faster, so that I would come out better and told I would be given a discount, which they did discount $100. However, the movers were extremely slow by comparison to other professional movers I have used before. The elderly man carefully wrapped all the items, and it took forever. The woman disassembled 2 pieces of furniture with a non-electric manual screw driver and it took forever. It took so long that I declined having her put it back together for me. They periodically stopped for 10 minutes to discuss which item to load next. They had a slide on the truck which they didn't use. The slide would have made the dolly go quickly down the stairs, but instead they slowly take the dolly down the stairs one step at a bumpy time.
Worst of all, they finished by 10pm to 10:30pm. But estimated a 1am completion which overcharged, and they didn't refund the difference after they completed. You are forced to pay before they unload the truck, based on the estimate. You assume that if their estimate is wrong that they will correct it. Amazing how fast they can move, when they will get paid on the estimate time. Additionally since their estimate took it over 8 hours, they doubled the charges for the last 30 minutes, which was 30 minutes of the estimate. I had moved 50% of our items ourselves, and there wasn't that much to move, about 1/8th the truck space was used. It should have cost no more than $500 for that move. They billed $1350 and gave $100 discount. Not much of a discount when they overestimate the unload by several hours.

Quote/estimate was widely inaccurate. So I had issues from the point of confirmation. Tom called me and was arrogant and condescending so I could not speak to him and Jeremy had to call me back. Thought that we had reached a good arrangement and understanding. Day of move - truck breaks down before they head to my place. They finally get it running and are told to go ahead and use this truck. They should have absolutely used a different truck or something. The 4 gentleman sent out were great! They worked hard. One Had an issue with a drill so he took much longer to disassemble my bed than should have. My dad had to show him how to take the drill bit out. Truck is fully loaded and the truck wouldn’t start. Over 2 hours before a tech came out to get it running again.
My time wasted, I could have gotten other stuff done. The guys time just sitting. (I wasn’t charged for this time - NOR SHOULD I HAVE BEEN. But they say “we didn’t charge you for that time” as if they did me a favor.). Once we arrive at my storage destination. They want me to settle up the bill. ALMOST DOUBLE what I was quoted or expedited even adding in a cushion for packing materials that would be used (mirror cartons, shrink wrap, tape). Finally spoke to the manager, Jeremy who said he would take care of me. Brought it down some. But not nearly enough. And when I really process the conversation he didn’t care one bit that I was unsatisfied and frustrated.
I was hoping to use the same company for my long distance move in a couple months but I will absolutely NOT be using All My Sons. EVER. Hidden costs. Inaccurate estimates. I just had this same move done a year ago (actually house to house instead of to a storage unit and it took a lot less time and cost A LOT less money). I should have just the same company. But I was hopeful. I should have listened to my guy after the first bad experience at confirmation.

The was a horrible decision on my part to use this company. From the morning of the move when they called and said, "We have to move you up 4 hrs." I should have cut my losses there. There was agreed upon rate that more than doubled at the end. My son had two hundred dollars that vanished during the move magically from his dresser. Hidden fees for packing that were never spoken to me. When I brought this up to their manager after. He said they should have told us and they would keep an eye out for their workers going forward. That was it. I will take every opportunity I have to make sure no one I know, ever used this company again.

CONTACT SOMEONE ELSE!! I used this business 3 weeks ago for a local move. I scheduled 1.5 weeks out from my move date, for Sunday 9/21 between 8am and 10 am. I spoke with Tom and he was very helpful the entire time. Sunday morning I got a call from Tom at 8:30, saying that one of the guys was injured Saturday and he was looking for a replacement. Two hours later, he was still looking for a replacement. Two hours later I called Tom and he said they couldn't find a replacement so they tagged me on to another team. At 3:30pm the new team arrived at my storage unit, which was only a 10x10 space. Of course, at 3:30pm on a weekend EVERYONE is at the storage facility, so we had to hunt for flat beds (which took time) and wait for the elevator (which took time).
One of the movers looked like he just got picked up off the street corner somewhere and moved slower than my 83 year old Grandmother! He was totally unprofessional and useless (which wasted more time). They finally got my stuff out of storage and got to my apartment. Yes, it was on the 2nd floor, however the stairs were INSIDE my apartment...no winding staircase, just one flight straight up. At this time I saw the estimated total which was $900! WTF??? I spoke with Tom and told him everything and he said the best he could do was 10%. You wasted my entire day, sent me 2 workers and a crack-head, and all you can do is 10%??
So I'm watching the team move my stuff in and the slowpoke (I'll be nice now) stops several times to try to strike up a conversation with me, including reading the tiny wording on the pocket of my t-shirt (wasting time). After a while I notice it's only the driver coming upstairs. I look around and slowpoke has disappeared. When he reappears a good 10 minutes later he smells of smoke. HE TOOK A FRIGGIN SMOKE BREAK DURING MY MOVE!!! (Wasting more time). After all is said and done, it's near 8:00pm before they finish my move. 4.5 hours for 10x10 move!! Ridiculous!
The next day I send an email response to the invoice and end up speaking with Tom again. He tells me that he gave me a $100 discount, which I still think is unacceptable, and mentions that he's likely to get in trouble for doing that. I thank him for doing what he could, and he transferred me to Jeremy. Let's just say Jeremy could care less about anything but business profits. I tell Jeremy everything that happened and he flat out asks me "well, what do you want from me?" I tell him the least he could do is refund my deposit. He tells me, he wont do that.. On a $900 move they only make $100 profit. I tell him, that's not my problem. You wasted my day and sent me cruddy service. I should be compensated for it.
When I told him about the slowpoke, whose name he didn't even know, he first said "really, that guy usually brings me 5 stars". I told him, "well he didn't today!" I told him about the smoke break, and he said this was the first he heard about it and if he knew ahead of time he would've taken them off immediately and sent another guy on Uber. My thought "that would've taken more time and more of my money!" At the end of the conversation, Jeremy disagreed with everything I said and felt there was no error in his team. He felt they did their job and were compensated for it. When he saw that Tom had given me $100 off as opposed to 10%, he said I was lucky and he wouldn't have given me that, and that he would have to speak to Tom about it. I will never in this lifetime or the next, use this company again. Absolutely the worst!

I moved recently. They had a truck break down and pushed my move back four hours. Said they tried to call me but did not, I found out when I called them when they were 45 minutes past booked time! Also 3 men showed up, played on their phones for 15 minutes, even asked me for a phone charger. Also after slowly packing the truck they took over an hour for supper with all my belongings in their truck.
I had used them before with excellent service so it was shocking. They wait until truck was fully packed to tell me they have a new policy. You pay by ‘their time estimate’ not actual time now so I was trapped into signing it. They overcharged me 420 dollars. I have called multiple times to get it back. No luck so now I have to report them to Better Business Bureau. Stay away. Their new time estimate policy entraps your belongings so you are forced to sign. Even worse one mover smoked in truck with my belongings. We do not smoke, and the driver moved his bowels in our bathroom and did not flush! Disgusting. I tipped well despite that which makes me more angry at how I was treated and way overcharged.

If you've read some of the reviews on here, you probably have already made up your mind. There are better, more reliable movers. But let me convince you if you you're still not sure. Never, ever, EVER, EVER use All My Sons Moving. Here's my experience...
A) They sent 3 guys and a truck and still couldn't manage to move a 1468 sq foot house. They said my bill was $1240 after 5 hours, and they had not even touched my garage. They said it would cost me another $700 (??) to finish. The lady who booked my move implied it would take just 3 hours and the movers were "very fast". No. They aren't.
B) There was one thing of value in my dresser (new Airpods in the box), and they are missing. Just one thing of value. And it's gone.
C) They HID (like children??) a 6 month-old 60 inch flat screen TV they damaged in an out of the way closet, unpacked, facing the wall. They managed to scratch the ENTIRE length of the screen. Then they managed to punch a giant spiderweb crack into the middle of the screen. It's like they did it on purpose, I swear. It's like they keyed my TV, then fast-pitched a baseball into the middle of it. Then they hid it. Like children. After they promised to pack it up professionally and take care of it.
D) When I called to ask about the price, I told Mickey in the Denton office I was going to give them a chance to make it write before I posted this review on multiple sites, multiple times to make sure people knew how bad they were. Mickey said he would talk to his supervisor Zach. No call back from Mickey. When I called Zach, he immediately dismissed my concerns and it was clear he was not going to help at all. I called Customer Care and asked for Zach's boss. All they kept saying is "you filled out a claim form for the TV, you don't need to speak to Zach's boss." They hung up on me. I finally called a different All My Sons regional office and they gave me Vic DelFonzo's (sic) name - he apparently is some sort of regional VP. He was more concerned I had a heated exchange with his employee Zach than addressing their horrible job. He said he would call me back at the end of the day. No call back from Vic. THIS COMPANY DOES NOT CARE. Look at the reviews. They couldn't care less.
E) The movers themselves said that their people are horrible at estimating jobs and it causes them problems all the time. Then they offered to come out the next day and help move the rest for a cheaper price if I rented my own UHaul. That's the kind of operation they're running there. Guess what - never heard from them again, too.
F) As in the grade I'm giving this company. You had ONE job. Move my stuff. Move stuff from a house that is not much bigger than many apartments. Move it quickly, move it without damaging or stealing anything. Move it for a fair price, like the many other companies are able to do in the Metroplex. Instead, you don't finish the job, you don't address customer complaints, I haven't heard a single thing about my claim for the TV, and I had to pay one of your competitors (AB Moving) $400 to finish my move. And they did it perfectly. PERFECTLY.
I'll update this review if they ever pay my claim for the TV. But I'm not holding my breath. Reading some of these other reviews, I can tell that All My Sons Moving decided that as long as they can overcharge people, they'll stay profitable no matter how many bad reviews are written about them. Folks, business doesn't work that way. Bad reviews has a ratchet effect. Pretty soon enough of them pile up such that NO ONE wants to use your service. Pretty soon the short money you went for today won't outlast the long money you're going to lose tomorrow. Pretty soon, All My Sons Moving will be just another cautionary tale about a business who didn't care, and then lost any chance of redeeming themselves to the communities they serve. They'll be out of business, and people like Mickey and Zach and Vic Delfonzo will be out of a job.

I booked this company for a transfer within the rental community I live in 6 (six) weeks prior to the move. I contacted them 2 (two) weeks before to confirm the appointment and was told that my appointment was on the scheduled. I repeated the call 5 days prior and again the day before. My appointment was that the crew would be at my move between 11:30 am and 3:00 pm. I confirmed that morning and at 3:30, I called asking where they were. Told they had just finished the prior job and were enroute. This was a Friday afternoon. At 4:30, they told me the crew was not going to show because they had just been fired and there was no other crew to send for my move. They instead subbed me to another company.
All My Sons sub, showed up, I signed the contract and THEY LEFT! Contacted All My Sons who would only say, "Nothing I can do but refund your deposit and I have already done that. Not my problem that this happened or that it will take 3 - 5 days for you to get it.". I asked for a crew to move me on Saturday. I was told they had no appointment available as they had committed to those scheduled. The manager I was speaking with had no response when I pointed out that I was a scheduled appointment as well. So All My Sons left me on a Friday night not moved at all. I had to be out of my apartment and into the new one by noon on Saturday. They had no compassion or empathy for the situation.
After luckily and graciously finding a company earlier Saturday morning, I was able to find a company who moved me on Saturday. Their crew asked at the end of the move who I had originally booked. When I told them, I was informed that All My Sons ALWAYS over books. PLEASE - DO NOT USE ALL MY SONS MOVERS!!!!!! Based on my experience I am confident that the other poor reviews are true. You will not have a positive experience if a crew even shows up!

Paid $100 a month before for deposit. Would not get deposit back a week before moving if cancelled. Notified us through email a week before move that a fuel surcharge of 14% would be owed on the ENTIRE amount of bill which ended up amounting to $115. Also charged 1 hour ($139) for traveling to our home which was about 20 minutes away.
Then, they are late 2 hours on the agreed upon time. (No reduction for 2 hours of OUR time) The packing man did do a good job of packing our boxes into the moving containers. But they had a “trainee” with them for which they should’ve given a discount. He scraped and scratched my floor (providing NO protection) and bounced my boxes right down the steps. We found numerous broken glass items upon unpacking the next week. Had we had any other immediate alternative for that day, they would have been fired.
How this company has managed to stay in business is from suckers like us. Very, very overpriced especially with fuel surcharge which other companies don’t charge in such a outlandish way. Ridiculous that it is for the total price of bill and they don’t tell you until the last week when you are committed. No protection was put over any floor or thresholds. Indicated maybe 3 hours, but actually bill was much, much higher. I would never hire this company again. Unfortunately, moving doesn’t happen that often, so getting burned by this company can only be benefited by other realizing how bad their business is.

Do not use this company, especially the Richmond/Mechanicsville office!! I hired this company to move my items from my house to an apartment. The salesman spoke highly of the company and they hired professional movers. The estimate I was given was not what I was made to pay to get my items. The guys arrived at my house late. They did not know how to pull up my order so that wasted time. I did a walk through with them and they still did not get things right. I even wrote on the boxes what was going to storage and what was going to the apartment. They still could not get things right. The guys did not know how to pack the truck so my things were thrown everywhere. I purchased boxes for them to pack my televisions and they did not know how to use them even though the salesman said they were "professional movers." They finally pack the truck at 2:30 pm and say they will meet me at the first location.
3:30 pm I do not see or hear from them. I call at 4 pm and they say they are looking for a weigh station. 5 pm I call again and I get the same story. I call the company and ask for an explanation and I'm told they have to weigh the truck so they will know how much to charge. 6 pm I call again and get the same story. 7:30 pm the supervisor called to say they were on the way. I tell him the storage facility closed at 9 pm, I don't know where they are, nor how long it will take to unpack the truck. A one day move has now turned into a two-day event. The second day I'm called at 11 am saying they canned find a driver and once they do they will be there. The crew finally gets there at 2:30 pm. They open the truck and my items begin to fall out the truck onto the ground.
I end up with three TVs (55" & two 65") broken, box spring ripped, entertainment center destroyed, bookshelves broken, boxes destroyed, antiques destroyed, dining room table damaged, and a damaged storage unit door damaged. The so-called "professional mover" did not know how to pack a storage unit and got the door stuck. Had to hire a contractor to get the door opened. They requested a claim form to be completed only for them to offer me $381 for damages!! This company is a scam!! They admit their employees are at fault but do not want to pay!! I am now out of thousands of dollars (the cost of the move) and all the money to replace my items and have another company to repack the storage unit correctly. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY!!!

In June 2019 We used All My Sons Moving Company (Newport News, VA office) to move from Chesapeake, VA to Carrollton, VA, a distance of 32 miles. My wife contacted movers and interviewed them during the process. Let me preface this review with the fact that since 2014 we have moved 6 times, from Richmond, VA to Charleston, SC to Sarasota, FL to Williamsburg, VA to Fredericksburg, VA to Chesapeake, VA to Carrollton, VA. So I think it's fair to say we have enough experience with movers to offer a valuable review of All My Sons regarding our latest move.
All My Sons required us to agree to a $219.00 per hour charge for 5 men and trucks beginning when they arrived at our house and ending when they completed folding their blankets and putting up their equipment. They told us they could get the move completed in 1 day. Based on our experience, we budgeted for 1 1/2 days, which is what each of the previous moves took to load and unload our household. They would not provide a firm price for the move, citing that local moves under 30 miles required them to price by the hour. Additionally, they wanted a 15% "Fuel Tax" (whatever that is). We were never offered a contract and only agreed with the email that detailed their charges.
Prior to the moving date, we moved two 16 foot trailer loads and at least 5 truck bed loads of bulky items, our whole kitchen, all our hanging clothes, exercise equipment, and much of our storage shed lawn equipment and tools. We also packed the entire household in boxes we purchased. The only thing required of the movers was to pack and unpack the trucks.
They arrived with two 26 foot trucks. I told them immediately that they didn't have enough trucks. We walked through the house to give them an idea of what we were moving and they proceeded to work. We provided sodas and water throughout the days and lunch and dinner each day. Each day means that we provided for them all THREE days of this ordeal. The first day they worked 13 hours. Up until 6:30 pm their boss kept telling us that they would be finished that evening even though it was apparent that there was no chance of that. The crews were not hustling. They went through over 24 canned sodas by noon and seemed more interested in chatting than moving.
By 6:30 their boss (who never once stopped by to see first hand how the job was going) committed to moving what they could load by 9:00 pm. At 9:00 pm, they closed up the trucks and left. I was devastated. I walked through a house completely trashed with paper, soda cans, and at least one additional truck load of items that I supposed we would have to find someone else to move for us. We had to find a hotel that would take us and our dog for the night. We hadn't budgeted for that.
The next day, they arrived at our new house at 8:30 am (Newport News office is 15 minutes away). They offloaded with 4 men as one man was called away for another job. They worked until around 7:00 pm this night. Again, drinking sodas and eating our provided lunch. At 8:00 am I contacted their operations manager and demanded a meeting with him and his salesperson at 9:00 am. I was detained and met with the operations manager at 10:00 am. He would not allow the salesperson, our only point of contact during the sale of the work, to attend the meeting. He talked down to me, pretending to be overly important by telling me his role in turning around lagging operations. I was not interested.
I demanded that they get the rest of my household moved immediately and he complied by scheduling for the following day one crew with 3 men and one truck at a reduced rate (charged for 2 men). He also agreed to reduce the 15% "Fuel Tax" to 5% for that day. I asked how he could possibly schedule his business if he had so little idea of the time it would take to complete a job. His response was that he was renting his people and equipment and it didn't matter. I contradicted him to say that we weren't renting anything, but paying to have our possessions moved from location A to location B as safely, efficiently, and carefully as possible, which in my opinion wasn't happening.
Finally on the third day, the crew of 3 men arrived at the old house at 9:00 am to pack up the rest of the house. They packed and left by 3:00 pm and were unpacked by 8:00 pm. Because of the 3 days and late finish, we missed a Thomas Rhett concert and lost the opportunity to sell the tickets, losing about $200. Broken items: one of the posts on our Ethan Allen 4 poster bed, several irreplaceable heirloom plates, several dishes/platters. We had no damage in any of our previous 5 moves. Some of the damage could be attributed to our own packing. I'll admit that.
Cost: All hours above 8 in a day incurred a 1 1/2 time OT rate that we weren't told about. The only information we received was regarding the $219 rate per hour from start to completion. So, the first day they worked 5 hours overtime at a rate of $328.50 per hour. The second day they worked about 4 hours OT, and the third day about 3 hours OT. Had we known of the OT rate, we would have limited the work hours to 8 per day to limit our exposure. Overall, this move cost us $7800 to AMS, $220 for a hotel, $200 in lost tickets, $250 in meals/drinks.
Final Comments: We contacted the home office for All My Sons Moving Company in Texas twice. I've spoken to them twice and sent 3 letters detailing our experience and requesting some restitution. We have received no response. This review is being written in September 2019, a full 3 months after our move and a good 2 months since our initial attempt to resolve our issues. What we have requested is refund of nearly $1,000 in "Fuel Tax". This was not collected as a tax, and was egregious considering the move was 30 miles.
We have requested a refund of 1 1/2 days labor including all overtime. The rate quoted was $219.00 per hour with no mention of a revised rate after 8 hours per day. We base this request also on our experience with 5 previous moves of the same household items. We request reimbursement for loss of use of the tickets ($200) and the hotel room ($220). All told, we'd be happy paying about 1/2 what we were charged. That compares well with what we paid on previous moves. Recommendation: Based on my experience with the Newport News, VA office and the home office lack of communication I will never recommend All My Sons Movers to anyone and will actively seek to disparage anyone from using their services anywhere in the country.

When I used All My Sons moving company I found the work of packing and moving didn't take half as long as me by myself. The 2 guys who were sent to me were courteous and attentive. I felt I was able to relax a little and trusted their judgment. Nothing ended up broken or missing so it worked out great. The price was a bit high but the service was more than worth it.

Please heed the advice of all others who have had a terrible experience and DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, unless you wish for your belongings to be destroyed and your property damaged. I used All My Sons out of Cherry Hill, NJ for a pack and move. The moving coordinator, Cecelia **, came to my home and promised the moon and the stars. My property would be protected, the furniture would be wrapped and protected and my belongings would be well packed and handled with care. I got the opposite!!
My furniture was damaged. Floors scratched. Items put in boxes with no wrapping. I went to move a box to unpack it and it fell apart. Conveniently, she represented that she’d be with me “all the way” but had the day off when I reached out to her to express my concerns about how the move was being conducted. I left a negative review on HomeAdvisor and received an outreach from their corporate office in TX. Again, promised me the moon and the stars in terms of resolution...but nothing but empty promises.
This moving company is a nationwide company and the majority of their customers have nothing but negative things to report. They do NOT treat your property with care and they make no effort to correct the issues after they have been reported. RUN!! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY TO MOVE ANYTHING OF YOURS. THE WORST MOVING COMPANY I HAVE EVER HIRED!

Do not use this company for your packing or moving services. This was the worst moving experience ever. My husband and I paid several thousand dollars to have All My Sons pack our house and move us to our new house. They sent a person to pack our house, Tory, that wore sunglasses and a backpack in our house. He did not pack a lot of our belongings and was obviously ready to leave. I felt very uncomfortable with him wearing a backpack in the house. During the move, several of our personal belongings were damaged. We purchased additional insurance for our move and when I went to file a claim to replace them, I was encouraged to accept $200 instead of filing a claim because it would take a long time for our claim to be processed.
We were initially going to use Atlanta Peach Movers (which was cheaper) but because the person (Michael) sent to provide us an estimate did such a wonderful job selling this company we decided to pay more for "superior" services. I wish we had used Atlanta Peach Movers. On packing day, I called the office three times to speak with a manager. Each time I was told that a manager would call me back and that never happened. They did not have the appropriate packing materials and could not finish packing our belongings because they ran out of supplies. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They are expensive and the price you pay does not reflect the service provided. I wish I could go back and use another company. We really did our research on this company and was extremely disappointed with the service. Do yourself a favor and find a different company for your packing and moving needs.

To the people that are moving all across this country: DO NOT USE All My Sons Moving. We used the Memphis, TN location on Summer Ave. This all occurred on August 29th. and 30th. 2019. Our move was from Hernando, MS to Murfreesboro, TN. First, the local rep. (Casey **) came into our home and did his dog and pony show. Showing brochures and explaining their process of how the move would happen. It sounded good and we set up the time and date for the move to occur. We had several other moving companies give us bids. All My Sons was the most expensive of all the companies we had checked with. We unfortunately chose All My Sons. Big, Big mistake. The moving crew started out being an hour late when they showed up to start the move.
The driver and head guy was named Randy. They never used runners on our floors or pads around the door frames to protect them. They did heavy damage on the beautiful hardwood floors where we had moved from. They also moved one bed frame without disassembling the entire unit. We ask them if it needed to be taken apart for a safer move and they responded that they didn't have the proper tools and that it would be ok to move in this way. They had also moved my wet bar and tore shelving on the inside as well as heavily scratched it. Dressers, media chest, and night stands were also heavily scratched with this move. When the movers arrived at our new address, there were only two original movers in the truck.
Our furniture is very heavy and of great quality. They said another local mover would be arriving from the local store to help unload our belongings. After being over an hour late he finally showed up. He was playing some very disturbing music on his phone (Out Loud I may add) as he moved without interest of how he handled our furniture. They dropped several pieces of our furniture on concrete and just kept unloading without concern of how it was being handled. The crew moved the one bed frame upstairs, with three sides still assembled. They forced it around corners, scratching and heavily scuff the walls and doors. All the other furniture with heavy scratching and scarring, caused by the uncaring crew. Nothing was properly wrapped.
Also our mattresses were stained with God only knows what where they dragged it across the truck flooring. After we began to inspect our furniture and started to find all the many issues they had caused, one of the helpers said that he had only been with the company for a short period of time, however he said he had heard complaints time and time again. He also said that he would recommend filing a claim to try and make right what All My Sons Moving Company had made wrong. He also said that they would hire anyone and would not give them proper training. All they needed to disassemble the bed was an open end box wrench or needle nose pliers and an star shaped wrench. That's it.
When all this occurred, I began to question the driver, Randy, he began to get very defensive and denied it being their fault. I told him I would not make the final payment until I had something in writing or on an email stating they would professionally repair or replace our things. Things we had worked very hard to buy and pay for and had been taken care of until All My Sons Moving touched it.... Randy said he wouldn't unload the remainder of my possessions until I paid the remaining balance. We called their office in Memphis, TN and spoke to his supervisor (Josh). He was extremely rude and very unprofessional to say the least. He could care less about the disastrous experience that All My Sons Moving employees, including the movers and the company's office had put us through.
The original point of contact, Casey **, would not take a call nor would he return a call to discuss the matter. I have had to sleep on a sleeping bag on a hard floor ever since they destroyed our belongings. I filed a claim and it just came back today with their claim offer. They offered an amount of $537.00!!!! It's an insult from this classes company to offer. I hope no one ever experiences this. I have spoken to five other families that have experienced the same issues or even worse. Our furniture is no longer available. It came from Havertys and Ashley furniture companies. Not cheap places to shop. It can't be repaired for $537.00!!!! It sure can't be replaced for that.
Everyone please do your home work and research before you use this company. Spread the word. If you see a positive review on anything attached to the All My Sons Moving Company, I can assure you it's a fake review. They need to do the right thing and pay for replacement or professionally repair what they destroy in each and every customer's property. If they don't, they should be forced to shut the doors. Permanently. Period!!!! Worse experience you could ever imagine. I will continue on other sites to spread the negative reviews that they deserve. I will donate my things to a needy family. It's better than many people have. It's nothing like I purchased new and was in new like condition. Until All My Sons touched it... Do Not Use All My Sons Moving.
I'm also going to contact the Better Business Bureau and try to report them. An attorney too. If you look online, many people have been negatively affected all across the country from a second rate organization. Don't let them touch your possessions. I promise, you will regret it!!!! Horrible service. Most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. They try to put the blame on the customer instead of accepting the blame which they rightfully own....

WARNING! Do not use All My Sons movers! Let me share my experience with you. I called them 30 days prior to my move. I asked them to come to my house and give me an estimate. They said they dont do on site estimates, asked me about what I have in the house and how much packing needed to be done. They gave me an estimate of $1500-$1800 at $179/hour plus packing materials. We schedule a moving date. On moving day the guys showed up at 10 a.m. with 4 guys. 1 of the guys had a bad arm so he could not do much. One of the guys was obviously brand new that they just gave a tshirt to. Everything was already packed with the exception of my kitchen and some misc. knickknacks. I sat there watching the "crew chief" and his, obviously new helper, play grab ** with each other and dancing to music rather than pack my kitchen. I even recorded video of them because it was so ridiculous.
It took 3.5 hours just to pack a kitchen that is not very big at all. Meanwhile the other two on the crew were supposed to be packing everything else. Finally the crew chief went to check on them and had them unpack and re-pack everything because they did it wrong. I had to teach the crew chief how to move the big furniture because he had no clue. While trying to move things they made a 4 foot gouge in my hardwood floor. Yes I have pictures of that as well. They also charged me for all the packing material that had to be redone. What should have been a quick pack and load turned out to take 8 hours for a small 1500 sq. foot 1 bedroom house. When we arrived at my storage they held my goods hostage until I paid them. They gave me the charges, $2800, $1000 more than estimated and informed me that the last 2 hours was time and a half. They refused to give me my belongings back off the truck till I paid their ransom.
No one ever told me that anything over 8 hours I was paying time and a half and it would not have taken nearly that long if they had a competent crew. I spoke to the assistant operation manager on the phone about the charges and their taking an extremely long time to pack. After a lengthy discussion I was blackmailed into waiving filing a claim for the floor damage in trade for him waiving the overtime charges. These were the most inexperienced, incompetent, and unprofessional movers I have ever seen. The worst part is, once I find a new house I was going to need them to move me from storage to the new house. The first move was an opportunity to earn my business on the second move. They definitely lost my business.

First my move was scheduled for an arrival of 8-9am yesterday for my belongings to be removed from my former home during my divorce. Already a tense situation. By 930 I am informed when I called that the movers are actually coming at 12-1230. This is unfortunate as my babysitter will not be available at this time as I had booked morning. The movers showed up without me being present at the home. Called 8 times to tell me about items they weren't going to put on the truck... but I can put it on the truck if you "take care of me and my boys". The $800 elliptical machine was in the basement and pretty much the basis for using a mover as I couldn't move it by myself. Call "ya that elliptical machine is gonna be heavy (3 movers were there and it's not heavy), I might be able to get it up the stairs if you take care of me and my boys?" I'm like what is it going to cost to get this delivered?? I'm like how about $50 bucks? He said a piece.... I said what!?!
Needless to say my elliptical machine was not delivered to me. They continued to take 2.5 hours to load a small truck and never told me when they left the house. I was waiting at the storage facility and saw them pull in. He had no paperwork for the move. They proceeded to unload the truck literally throwing boxes labeled glass on the tailgate... no idea what is broken or what is there. They were like "yah I'm not sure I can fit all your stuff in the storage shed. You wanna get rid of some of your stuff to us??" Now I'm paying them off in my personal belongings... I had my 3 1/2 yr old daughter with me because the sitter wasn't available anymore.... I was afraid if I didn't give them what they wanted it would be trouble.
In the end they shoved the rest into the storage facility and couldn't find one of the locks I had just purchased for one unit. It just went missing?? So I gave them $40 to leave and went to buy a new lock. I have no idea what kind of business is run by All My Sons, but I feel violated, like I was robbed? I felt unsafe to have my child there. And in the end it cost me $900, a $40 tip and items from my truck to be done with this company.

If that wasn't enough they had my $1,000 Sleep Number mattress out on the pavement. I took pictures of this as it was happening and sent them to the manager who did nothing. The tardiness wasted the time of those we had who had come to help unpack and in fact one person had to leave because her time with us was over. I was so disgusted by the unprofessional way this move was handled. I am disabled and hired them to keep the stress off of me and all they did was cause me stress and I had to worry about finding the money to pay my other bills because they were so off on the quote they gave me when I called. They prolong their work so they can go pass the two hour time span and charge you double. I try to explain to Lawrence ** what the worker did but all he was interested in was payment. Didn't know I had to pay for the worker taking a break three times. They charge me for packing supplies they didn't use. Been trying to contact Frederick ** for two weeks and he would not return my phone call. You will regret hiring this company. They will take your money, add charges that not suppose to be. Took them eight hours to move a four hour job. $1500 had to pay for a 30 minute drive. Best bet get someone else to move you because this company will rip you off.

I live in Portland Oregon and last Friday (9/6) AMS was supposed to come move us from one house to another about 3 miles away. They never showed up. I contacted them 3 times that day and they lied to me twice. I was told earlier that week that the crew would do their first scheduled moves then they would come to me maybe around 10:30 but certainly no later than 2PM. I was told the crew would call me about an hour before they would arrive. So I don't hear anything all day so I call around 2 and am told the crew is just finishing up a move and would call me when they are done.
At 4 I call and spoke with the Operations Manager who told me the crew was just finishing up but it was getting late and would I want to just do the move on Saturday. I told him that wouldn't work because I had a cleaning crew coming in at 7PM and a painting crew arriving the next morning. He said OK, they'll be there as soon as they can, and I asked him how late these crews worked and he told me "until it's all done". He lied. I called back about 25 minutes later and was told by the Assistant Operations Manager that No Way was this move happening tonight. I could get a slot for Saturday morning and that he would waive the 5 hour Minimum for weekends. So cancel the cleaning crew (which cost them) and reschedule the painters for later in the day. So, poor planning, poor communication and poor service. I would not recommend this business to anyone that really needs a reliable company to move them.

I came to know about it when the moving guys came to pick our stuffs and we couldn't help it but to continue loading the stuffs. The truck arrived a day late at the destination and there was only 1 person (the driver) to unload all the stuffs. Is it possible for a single person to unload the stuffs from a 2 bedroom townhouse???? When we called the customer care, that guy was extremely RUDE with my husband saying that the other guy who is supposed to help unload didn't turn last minute and they could not do anything about it. My husband had to help finally in moving all the big stuffs. We had to fight for discount which they totally refused to do it but ended up giving only a $100 discount.
A day later while unpacking, we found we were missing 2 boxes. One box was a paper shredder. The other box had small antique furnitures, wall hangings, statues everything from my home country which is worth $750. Puff. It's all gone!!!! I totally got nervous if I will be able to find it. I called up the customer care immediately and the person said the package might have gone missing at the other customer's house who shared the truck with me. As they had their stuffs in their storage it took over a month for them to check and let us know. It's sad that they said it wasn't with them either. Now, where would the packages be gone!!!!
Next they told me to claim with their insurance which I did. All My Sons Moving & Storage company couldn't give the additional paper works required by their insurance company and I had to hang on to them almost everyday to do that. After they sent the papers the insurance company is offering $45 for the claim!!!! WHATTTT. Only $45 for $750 worth the antiques I had??? I almost cried. And I am trying to contact the customer service for over a week to answer me this and even left a voice mail to call back. They are not calling back.
A message to All My Sons Moving & Storage company: I am not at all sorry to say this. You are the worst moving company. I moved with the Atlanta-South branch, and I can't begin to express my disappointment in their level of customer satisfaction. I could not be provided an ETA for the movers' arrival until 45 mins prior. Couldn't plan to reserve a space or elevator for them, plan my moving day out. Was ready for them at 8am, and they arrived at 5pm. There were two men, and I was being billed for three. Charged based on time... Upon arrival, it was very obvious that both men were physically exhausted from what had already been a very long day. I later found out they'd been scheduled on several 10-12 hour days in a row, could tell they had severe back pain, and were not moving as efficiently as they would be if they were fresher. I felt genuinely bad for them.
One of the men told me they did not have boxes/materials for the TVs, and requested that I move the TVs separately. This was frustrating because they're large and fragile (and that's what you hire movers for), but I reluctantly agreed. As the team was packing up the truck and departing for the night (at 10pm, which is entirely too late for them to be moving things into a home), I noticed I wasn't seeing a few of my things. I then determined that they'd left behind not just a few things, but a pickup truckload's worth of items, because I left the first location a few mins before they did. Items included artwork, a mirror, a folding table, two folding chairs, 2 lamps & shades, 2 rugs, a toaster oven, a clothes hamper, a small bin, and a 4-drawer chest. I truly could not believe the sight, and had to hire a friend and his pickup truck in order to move these things myself.
Perhaps for a few of these items, the materials needed for the TVs were the same thing they'd need to wrap them during transit. However, the packing materials are part of the service, and a realistic expectancy. Had they told me in advance that they couldn't take those items, I would have gone to the store to buy the materials myself if I had to. No communication, but besides that, not equipped to complete the job. Following the experience, I complained via email and followed up with 2 voicemails, didn't hear back for 3 weeks. When I did hear back, I was offered a less than 10% refund. Total cost of this local move was over $1000. In summary, stay away from this company. Moving is stressful and expensive enough when completed successfully, and even worse when the customer service level is poor from start to finish.

Hid the fact that the platform bed support system was in PCs and through them under the bed for my daughter to fall through the bed when she tried to go to sleep. They also damaged both apartments, holes in walls and and scratched the wood floors at both places. They broke the frame of the leather sleeper and scraped the leather off the entire front of pc of furniture. They told her to sign a paper that said she did receive the furniture at her new apartment and would certainly take care of any damage.
The manager on duty Ryan assured us it would all be taken care of and is now offering 120.00 to replace all the furniture that was broken. He said, "Well we fired the guys. That should make you feel better." Sure doesn’t seeing that you lied and tricked my young daughter and broke everything you touched. We paid $12,000 plus $1,000 in tips for a move of less than 250 miles (Our third move in three years for work reasons). We paid a high premium to have everything packed and unpacked at our destination point. The agreement was NO BOXES left behind. Now, that a week has gone by and we have had to spend a considerable amount of money for people to help us unpack, get rid of boxes (yes, the boxes I paid to not be there) we are realizing what a poor job they did. Mislabeled/unlabeled boxes, broken items, misplaced items, missing items, etc. I STRONGLY suggest you find alternatives to these pushy and very unprofessional and overpriced outfit. BUYER BEWARE!!!

Rude and aggressive cheaters. Call center agent setup a move with sales pitch they wont charge for mileage and gas. Fine print is they charge for travel time extra :-). What a sneaky way to charge additional hour. Operations scheduled for move time and manager calls confirms the time 8AM Monday Morning. Until 9:30AM no one calls and when I called to find out, they transferred me to operations manager and he says, "Oops We had a shortage of drivers," and they were thinking of calling me to let me know and rescheduled for 4pm. No one showed up again. When I called again they said they are rescheduled to 6pm due to original driver has to take up another job.

I was quoted by James $400-$600 top to move a 2 bedroom, living room, and about 6 Rubbermaid I had packed myself. I explained both places were on the second floor. I asked them to pack one cupboard of Tupperware that I didn't have room in my Rubbermaid. James assured me it wouldn't be any more than 600 because it would probably take them less than 4 hours for a job like that. The movers arrived 1 hour late and smelled of terrible body odor. The lead guy wasted 1 hour explaining how the move worked. He told me if they got a cash tip they usually worked harder to get the job done quicker. I gave them $50 a piece not realizing that I would be paying triple what I was quoted. They proceed to pack my cupboard with the Tupperware using 4 sheets of paper to wrap each piece. I told the lead guy that this was not necessary as they were plastic, but wasting time and using lots of materials. I would later find this was the name of the game.
They were slow, talked, took breaks continually. They then tell me if I buy them lunch they would work through their lunch break so I bought them lunch at Dairy Queen and had my cousin Lynn deliver it so they could pack and eat. The whole time I'm packing my own lamps, personal decor, pictures, household cleaners and clothing putting them in my car to also save time. They wrapped my couch, and loveseat over and over in shrink wrap, using almost entire rolls. I said, "We are only going 5 miles. Couldn't you just cover them in moving blankets?" They told me they couldn't so they continue. There were no appliances, to be moved, no dining room set, no dishes, as I had previous help and did it prior to the moving date.
After approximately 6 hours they are finally ready to go to my new place which again is 5 miles away. They asked if they could stop and get cigarettes on their way, and I guess I assumed I was still going to pay 600. I was tired, and was not keeping track of hours, so I said "yes." I then get to the new place and waited for them. I was carrying all the stuff from my car. I notice they are driving around the neighborhood next to mine appearing to be lost. They finally make it to my place. They start unloading. The one was telling me about his love life, and I'm thinking, "Just get this done!" 8.25 hours later I get a bill for 1669 plus tip and lunch three times what I was quoted. If I ever thought it was going to be this much money I would have never used this company.
I understood that they were paid hourly but I believe the amount of time to move what little I had was excessive and much of the time was wasted. It should never have taken that long. I have since talked to 2 other local moving companies, who said they would have taken 4 hours for that job, and had another job scheduled after mine. The other company said the cost that I paid was a 2 day job for a complete home, not a 2 bedroom apt. I have called the company, sent pics to Brad of what was moved, spoke several times to James and Clay. They say they are looking into it, but I have to keep calling them back. I know they are avoiding me and have no intention of resolving it or coming to a resolution as the move was July 18th and it is now almost a month later.
This has put me in a bad place financially. I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau, the Attorney General, and waiting for their response. I will if I have to bring them to small claims court. The deception is the time they tell you your move will take and the excessive hours used to move a very small amount of furniture. I have read others who said they took their furniture hostage for lack of payment. I would never ever trust this company to give you a fair and accurate quote.

Liars, cheaters, downright thugs!! Told me the wrong time to start and then quoted a much lower price. One of the movers broke a leg off a dresser because he loaded it wrong on dolly. Mistakes happen but I told him he could have loaded it a different way and he said, "Well usually I can lift those dressers but it's full of stuff so that's why it broke." I took the pads and tape off of the dresser to show him that it was completely empty!! He got upset because I proved him wrong and one of the movers pointed his finger right in my face and told me he was an adult not to talk to him like a child. After that they would not unload the rest of my belongings in the house. They just left it in the garage after I said I was going to call the police for harassment. And then when I called on Monday to discuss all of this with managers they could have cared less!!!

By their name this company appears to be a small "Mom & Pop" type business. It's not. Their phone number in the Yellow Pages was local, but their company is not. Deceptive practices. We had packed everything up & were ready to move. The 3 movers arrived 2 hours later than planned due to a prior move. No problem except they all looked tired and as we toured our 3 bedroom house they looked increasingly like they wanted to find a way out of doing all this work. They spent a lot of time in and around the truck instead of in the house.
Then I got a call from their HQ saying, guess what? They weren't going to move us! I asked why and she said we have bedbugs. I told her we had some 5 years ago and they were all exterminated. She said they sent her a video. I asked to see it but she would not send it to me. I suggested the movers may have a clip of bedbugs they submit whenever they want to avoid working because there are none here. Since they left us hanging with everything already packed we manned-up and ended up doing the move ourselves with friends, thus avoiding all their fees. These 3 guys were moving so slow it would have taken them until the next day to finish!

I've waited two months to write this review so that I would have adequate time to calm down. Planning to move? Hire anyone except this company. I spoke with a sales rep who was slicker than hair gel. He gave me an hourly rate that seemed more than fair. The arrangement was to move one living room, one dining room, one bedroom, about 30 boxes and some home office furniture. No appliances or extraordinarily heavy items. He gave me a final rate of approximately what I could expect to be charged. On moving day everything was wrapped in miles of shrink wrap, taped and covered in blankets. WAY overdone. It took hours and hours to accomplish all of this and I could see the dollars signs moving upward. I was moving to a new place only twenty minutes away and the entire move, from start to finish, took over seven hours.
When they presented me with the bill, I nearly went into shock. The price quoted to me was a little under $600 but my final bill was over $1100. The twenty minute trip alone added almost $200. They also stopped for lunch and we saw them as we passed by going to the new place. They take that hourly rate and pad it with excessive charges for wrapping and taping, gas and mileage, etc. and come up with a final ripoff price that's twice what you were quoted. I've moved many times in my life but NEVER charged this much. I know that scamming senior citizens is a lucrative business today but that was only slightly under despicable. The movers, although pleasant, made sure to let me know how much they were paid by the company and that they were only able to "survive" on tips they receive from customers. Not sure I've ever been pressured to tip before. Stay away from these people. Valerie **.

Zero customer service! Stay away from this service!!!! I’d give them ZERO stars if I could! Update: Spoke to Debora in claims... They wanted to offer me $25 for breaking the base of my recliner. No responsibility for sending employees without tools to move my furniture. They also wanted me to sign a “non-disclosure”, “non-disparagement “ agreement for $25. Not a chance! Do not under any circumstances use these movers!

All My Sons moving is the worst moving company I have ever had the extreme displeasure of dealing with! I called a few different moving companies for quotes but did not have time to sufficiently research my moving company choices since I closed so quickly on my home and needed to move asap. They reeled me in with exquisite customer service on the phone during the quoting process. The VP, Tristan, even called and left a voicemail to follow up and be sure everything was going well which was super thoughtful, professional, courteous, and all the good things one would expect from an upstanding company.
On the day of the move, the truck with three men in it, arrived at 8:15AM. They moved incredibly slowly from the beginning. I asked the driver if he was in charge and he replied with a very questionable "yes." I then asked the driver if his two workers would be joining us as they seemed to be delayed by the truck for some unknown reason but he said he "didn't know." I would have fired them right there on the spot if not for the extenuating circumstances I was needing to escape from at the apartments I used to reside in. I went with the lesser of the two evils but I never imagined that the devil's horns could get to be so long and pointy.
The three of them moved at a glacial pace and finally made their way into my apartment (empty handed), with me a good 20 steps ahead of them. They began looking around as if they were lost. I began to take charge and show them around and explain what all they needed to accomplish which would be to pack all furniture, clothing, and to take every item out of the cabinets/drawers, and to place said items into boxes for the purpose of moving. I found this to be quite aggravating due to the fact that I had already gone over all of this in great detail over the phone during the quotation process and these guys were looking at me like I was speaking some unknown language to them.
They opened the first cabinet and saw that I owned several wine glasses and other general drinking glasses. They gasped as though they had seen an alien fly out of the abyss and then stated that this move would for sure take 4-5 hours. I then asked the "supervisor" if this was in fact their occupation and if they had indeed moved anything for anyone a day in their lives before. I also asked how they could surmise the length of this move based solely upon one cabinet full of glassware. There was no response. I checked the time and noticed that it had been 30 minutes since these guys had arrived and there was not yet one item loaded onto the truck.
I departed from the apartment and called into All My Sons to complain about this debacle. I spoke with Jonathan who acted like this behavior was so out of the ordinary for these guys and seemed to be completely taken aback that he would receive such a negative report on them. He did adjust the start time to my benefit but the tirade continued on. These guys had the nerve to not only be on their cell phones during this process but they also took it upon themselves to plug said cell phones into my wall outlets making use of my electricity without my permission.
I began loading up my personal vehicle with items in an attempt to move things along. This was absurd as the whole reason for hiring a moving company in first place is so that they would do the moving and not me. To top it all off they forgot the bars that go into the wardrobe boxes. Furthermore, they did not even bring enough boxes overall to be able to completely empty the apartment. So yes after this nonsense it still took me three additional days to finally get everything out of the apartment!!!
Hours passed and they were finally ready to head to my house with whatever they were able to actually take. Mind you I had two microwaves, and one dorm sized refrigerator as far as appliances go. There was one queen sized bed and two night stands. Also one sofa and one half desk complete with two storage ottomans. There was one cabinet with dinnerware and one cabinet with pots and pans. Two cabinets contained glassware and the rest of the items were no hassle items that ended up just being thrown in boxes in order to save some time.
We got ready to head to my house and I gave the driver very easy and very specific directions. My home is new construction and therefore will not show on a map so I made sure to tell him exactly what to do. His instructions were to get on the interstate and head down I-12 and take the exit I told him then take a left at the light, then another left once that road ended, then my subdivision would be on the left and rather obvious due to all the construction happening. That's 3 lefts. Simple right? Well....The apartment was three blocks from the interstate so this should not have been an issue.
Well I'm on my way to my house and I get a call from the driver stating he can't find my address in the GPS. More time was wasted with me telling what I had told him already in terms of location. True to their original word we did not make it to my house until about 5 hours later around 1pm. That's three men, a one bedroom apartment, and 13 miles....5 hours? Why??? I was so frustrated I had them to unpack everything into the garage with the exception of the bedroom set which needed to be assembled (like a few screws in the headboard type of thing).
I paid a $250 deposit when I called in for the quote with a maximum total for everything in the $600 range including said deposit. The driver had the gall to tell me I owed them an additional $1138! I refused to pay this nonsense. The breakdown of charges was outrageous. For instance, they charged me per roll of masking tape and it came out to be more than 15 rolls used. But when I went back to finish moving my apartment I found at least 10 rolls with barely any tape used off of them lying on the floor that I had not noticed during the move. They were intentionally wasteful with product in order to pad charges onto my bill.
I called in for like the tenth time and spoke to Jonathan who did remove some of these charges but not nearly enough. Oh and if I had not paid they were going to take my belongings to their warehouse until payment was made! Jonathan said he did not have the authority to make any adjustments further than what he already had done and that the VP, Tristan, was in a meeting but would call me later that evening. Well Tristan's meeting lasted all day because this heist lasted from 8:15AM to 1PM and the day ended with no phone call from him.
I called three days later and spoke to Jonathan again in order to find out when I would get to speak to Tristan and Jonathan told me he would "remind Tristan of the urgency of this matter." As I write this it has been over a week since I last reached out to All My Sons and not a word form them. I am not happy with this scandalous organization. I posted this complaint on my FB feed and to my surprise and dismay many friends of mine even as far as the West Coast have had similar experiences with All My Sons and none of us approve. As a veteran of the United States Air Force I moved around a lot and have dealt with some exceptional moving services over the years. This place should cease to exist.

Movers didn’t wrap any of our expensive furniture, antiques, appliances, tufted king bed. Our $2K refrigerator is all dented up and scratched. We found the handles tossed in the truck next to some other boxes. It was in pristine condition before they touched it. I bought an $1100 upholstered king bed a few months before the move. They didn’t wrap it at all, NOR did they put a blanket down when sliding it across the dirty floor of the truck. The headboard is black now.. used to be tan. Our restoration hardware reclaimed wood kid table was damaged on top. Looks like someone took an electric sander to one spot. Every single piece of furniture we owned had some kind of damage to it. None of that would be a problem at all if they replaced our damaged furniture. Nah.. we were offered $200 for all the damage. No joke, our stainless refrigerator looks like we got it off the street curb.
It used to be shiny and perfect, now it’s an eyesore in the kitchen. Our freezer icebox has stopped working since the move also. We’ve gone through all the channels they recommend to get a refund. They say to write a letter then wait 6-12 weeks before a response. Well.. it’s been 1 year, 1 month now and nothing. They sort of disappeared on us. What’s insurance for? I don’t understand. The movers at our destination told us everything the packers did was wrong. They made us take pictures of everything and wouldn’t even move a piece out of the truck before calling us in to take another picture of the mess. The packers literally tossed our living room TV into a box with toys and other items on either side of the TV. I’m still working on getting a response and resolution to this mess. I’ll never just forget or get tired of trying because every time I open our refrigerator I’m reminded of how pissed off I am about how horrible they are.

The settlement talks are dragging on from April 25 until now. Mostly delay tactics. I have been dealing with Will ** (Owner) and Deborah ** (Customer Service). I hired this company after receiving a low quote by their "professional" representative on the phone. I made the deposit and then I waited. The move took triple the time the rep told me and over double the cost! They also cracked the living room ceiling of my new house. I couldn't believe it! Next, I had to contact them first, even though the movers took pictures and said they would report it. They said they would get a contractor out immediately. They moved me on July 5th. It's now July 31st and all I get is the runaround and excuses about how busy they are and how they subcontracted movers that day and how this one is not in and that one didn't give the message to the other, etc, etc, etc.
I spoke to the owner and all he did was give excuses and talk about how busy they are and he would get back to me. Several emails and voice messages and still I have a cracked ceiling. I thought at least the owner would handle things himself, but he keeps passing the buck. In this day and age of social media I'm shocked they can be so careless and irresponsible. I even offered to get my own contractor quote and send them the estimate. No response. The next step is civil court. Bad business.

Read to the end to find out what they'll do if they damage any of your belongings in the move; it gets much, much, much worse. If I could give less than one star, I would. All My Sons moved my husband and me from one first floor, three bedroom apartment to another first floor, three bedroom apartment. (Only two of the three bedrooms have real bedroom furniture in them. The third only has a folding table and a bookshelf.) We had already boxed all of our belongings and had everything ready to go.
It took 10 hours for three men to move us, not including the hour drive between apartments. When my mom moved from a 2,000 sq foot home to a THIRD floor, three bedroom apartment, it didn't take the movers she hired 10 hours to do that. Needless to say, we were not impressed with the work effort we saw. Not only that, but the movers continually complained to us about how much stuff we had and how much they had to move. Didn't seem very professional! Little did we know, the real issues wouldn't start until we actually got to the second apartment.
As soon as they opened the truck, they broke a lamp by dropping something off of the truck onto the lamp outside of it. It seemed like every time they brought something into the apartment, it was broken. They damaged our less than a year old dresser (one leg completely snapped off, and they put a hole in the back of it) and places of the storage part of our less than a year old bed (similar to the dresser - put holes in the back of the drawer sections). They completely destroyed a family heirloom - a desk that my great-grandfather built by hand and has been in the family for three generations. The dresser and bed could be fixed, but the desk was just hauled off; all that is left are the drawers.
On top of this, they scratched and scuffed the walls, BROKE PIECES OF SHEETROCK OFF OF A CORNER OF THE ENTRANCE OF THE APARTMENT, left fairly deep scratches in the vinyl flooring throughout the apartment, and made nicks and small holes in the tile flooring in the kitchen. Needless to say, we are (almost definitely) not getting our security deposit back.
I filled out the paperwork to be compensated for the damages. This paperwork includes how much the items weigh and how much they are worth to you; I was told to put a combination of how much they cost to buy and how much it would cost to fix or replace them. Three weeks later, I got a letter in the mail telling me who much they were willing to pay: a flat $0.49 a pound. I figured up how much that should have been compared to the weight I gave them, and it did not come up the same at all.
When I called to inquire, I was informed the weights I gave seemed too extreme, so they used a list of typical weights they have for furniture. I was also told that the rate they would give ($0.49 a pound) was what they gave everyone, so my effort of listing how much things cost and how much it would cost to fix them did nothing. They told me they don't use that to actually figure out how much they'll give back (as the $0.49 per pound is the rate they give everyone), but more of an "idea" of what this is worth to me. I hope you read until the end. And more than that, I hope you choose someone else to move your family.

I would like to provide a summary of our personal experience and why we would never recommend this company. We had some time prior to our move, we did our research and were able to allow 5+ companies to come to our house and evaluate our items to be moved roughly 20 miles from Durham, NC to Hillsborough, NC.
In All My Sons initial evaluation they give you this spiel about how each individual franchise is an extension of the primary company and held to the same extremely high standards they have across the nation. They rave about their professionalism and the fact that they only hire the best people who are thoroughly vetted and background checked. (DO NOT BUY IT, literally or figuratively.) After seeking quotes and evaluations from other companies we chose All My Sons, not because they were the most inexpensive (they were actually significantly more than some), but because we were impressed with the amount of comfort and trust we felt we could place in the company and their promises.
**The issues. Missing items- Most notably, a brand new robot vacuum, a shop vac, a ladder, and a power washer. Broken items- I have photos of over $1000 worth of things, not including the above list, that were extremely poorly packed and in turn broken during the move. Initially we gave the local franchise the benefit of the doubt. Since we did have them store our items in crates for roughly 2 weeks until our home was finished we thought perhaps it was a mistake and that one of the crates containing the missing items had simply been left at the warehouse.
To be fair the personnel in the office were extremely professional and upon seeing our photos seemed extremely apologetic and acted as though they were genuinely concerned. We told them about the missing items as well and asked that they would go through the warehouse for a missing crate as well as speak regarding the issues with teams of employees that helped with the move. While in the office they had me email to them the photos and left notes in the computer on our account about the issues. They said they would involve their warehouse manager and have him look into the situation and get back in touch with us.
We spent close to 3 weeks calling, following up, asking if our items had been found or even looked for. I’m not sure of the exact time frame, but during one of these calls we were told that our ladder had been located and that we could come pick it up. We of course found it a bit convenient that it just so happened to be the least expensive item on the list, but it gave us hope that our other items would be found as well.
In the meantime we were going through an act of Congress to file a claim with the company about our missing/broken items. An itemized list, the brands, when they were purchased, the approximate price, and weight. We sent photos of the broken items (still in the boxes) along with receipts for the missing ones. They even asked for the paperwork to be notarized which seemed a bit absurd, but we completed the requirements in hopes we would be compensated for our losses. Multiple weeks later we received a packet from the company with an apology form letter and a check for somewhere in the neighborhood of $137 dollars. It was explained that the compensation is based on weight of the items instead of the actual value. Their restitution was LAUGHABLE, and quite honestly slap in the face. Also, the expensive items that had gone missing were never found, which at this point was not shocking.
I’m not sure if the exact cost of our move anymore but for reference I believe with the loading/unloading and 2 weeks storage it was over $5000. Not to mention we gave generous tips of around $200 as well as bought pizza for lunch for both teams of workers. This also brings me to another side issue I have yet to address- When I brought pizza in for one of the teams of workers I noticed they seemed a bit put off by this. I found out later that the leader of the group had pulled my husband aside to ask if the cost of the pizza was going to affect the tip they received.
This same person spoke MULTIPLE times to me and my husband while at our new home attempting to “sell himself”, pointing out that he painted, refinished furniture, put up shelving and was basically a master at every form of handyman work. He provided us with business cards and showed us photos of all his past jobs, all while he was technically on the clock for our move. He even graciously offered to come by our house in a couple weeks to see what he could do, we politely declined his offers. I say all this in hopes that others will learn from our mistake, steer clear of this company, and hopefully avoid the monetary losses along with the frustration, disappointment, and empty promises of All My Sons.

Since then, it's been nothing short of nightmarish. I have had to call SEVEN times just to ensure they had my card for storage unit costs, never received confirmation that they received my CC authorization form after five attempts to even get the damn form from them, which has highly sensitive payment information on it, and they charged the wrong card anyways. We had to call them multiple times and movers finally showed up at 9:30 PM. They didn’t finish moving us in until almost 4am and the one worker was rude, disrespectful, and slow. Multiple belongings were broken because they were careless and we were yelled at by the mover for being upset it was being handled so poorly. He threatened to cancel mid move and drive off with all of our stuff. We had to call the police because he became so erratic and loud. When my roommate tried to talk to the manager about the issues he was condescending and disrespectful to the point we wanted to cry. We only had to move to a two bedroom unit within the SAME apartment complex, but it took them 7 hours despite being quoted 3.
They also charged more than the amount they agreed to on the phone and didn't have us sign important paperwork that was meant to be signed BEFORE they move anything. The All My Sons Moving and Storage location at 3511 Boutwell Rd Bay 3, Lake Worth, FL 33461 that moved us on 5/30/19 has been the absolute worst moving experience that we have ever had with a move. They were very quick to take our money that we provided in good faith for what was promised to be an easy move as well as an easy claims process if anything was damaged. Yet, there was nothing but errors made by their staff from day one.
First, ** failed to list our beds on his inventory after explaining to us that our beds would be covered with special mattress covers. As a result, their movers refused to begin moving us until they were able to get verification from their/this office. This caused a time delay that we had to pay for in their time that was wasted. Then, one of their movers carried five various pieces of glass at one time from the truck without the covering that he removed before bringing it inside. As a result, my husband’s glass desk piece was shattered. Then we discovered that our ladder was missing and I contacted their office the day of the move, only to find out weeks later (after we called to follow-up) that it was found and being held in **’s (the manager’s) office.
And, last but not least, this office cannot or will not process our simple, straightforward claim. We sent their completed form including ALL photos of ALL damaged items and ALL of the documentation that we have received from them regarding our move twice now. And, today (7/16/19), they are asking for it a third time. Their claim form quotes that after they receive it, someone would contact us in 3-5 business days. No one ever contacted us and we are still contacting/following-up with them. It has been almost two months now. Also, to add insult to injury, listed below is part of the response from the manager of this office.
“I do not see where you had purchased additional insurance. From the signed estimate and contract I can see where you chose standard valuation of $.60/lb for any damages. I will make sure we get that sent to you as soon as we receive the documents. Now, to address the beds. It's just as much **'s fault as it was yours, there is responsibility on both sides. That inventory was sent to you on the day of the estimate, and you had every chance to let us know it wasn't on the inventory. We went ahead and moved it at no additional cost to you.”
I can only hope that by your email address containing the words “we care” that something will be done about this office and their staff for their ludicrous behavior as well to justly compensate us for this horrendous experience. Also, if this email is not going to the All My Sons corporate office, I will be forwarding them the same details. Sincerely, MaryAnn **. Sent from my iPad.

After performing an on-site inspection of my goods, the All My Sons Moving & Storage of Boulder (Colorado) sales representative said one of his four-person crews could move my possessions within six to eight hours for slightly more than two-thousand dollars. That offer sounded great, so I signed up. On moving day, the crew showed up on time. After that point, things went downhill. Only three movers showed up, so I knew the relocation would take all day (it did). Boxing of my possessions took over six hours, not the estimated three hours.
During the unloading process at the destination, the crew lead began commenting that his crew would be finishing up at the twelve-hour mark, a deadline not previously mentioned by the crew lead, and not noted in the contract. I insisted that the team complete the unpacking phase, as promised in the contract, even if the crew clocked more than twelve working hours. The crew lead backed off from his threat to cut the unpacking process short. And the crew finished unpacking my possessions at the twelve hour and thirty-minute mark.
Because All My Sons charged by the hour, the total bill was WAY MORE than what had been estimated in the sales contract. I complained, correctly citing the lack of weather or traffic issues. The store manager agreed and reduced the charge, but the total bill was still about eight-hundred dollars more than the amount estimated by the sales rep on the sales contract. I paid the balance due and tipped each crew member, despite the move taking almost double the estimated amount of time. Within a few days after the move, as I gradually took items out of boxes, I discovered several damaged items. One of my expensive hiking boots was never found. That's right, they moved one of the boots, and misplaced its pair. A Sears handyman tool set was also lost.
In summary, this twenty-mile move was a thirteen-hour ordeal, three items of furniture had obvious and significant damage, two other items were lost, and the total charge was about eight-hundred dollars more than the amount estimated in the sales contract. The company provided a three-person crew, when the sales representative had promised a four-person crew. I believe that single change, probably made to reduce All My Sons' labor cost, led to the issues I experienced. The crew did work hard, which is why I am giving a two-star rating instead of a single star. I recommend avoiding this moving company. If you decide to use All My Sons, make sure the crew count is adequate for the job, and that head count is noted on the contract before you sign the contract.

I hired All My Sons to move this medical equipment. They helped disassemble this scanner and they packed it in their truck to be transported on the same day, less than a mile away. When we got to the destination, they refused to unload my equipment unless I sign and make the complete payment for the move. I abide to "their policy" which is kinda weird, but I didn't think that there would be any issues...WRONG! They unloaded the medical equipment and immediately left. I started putting the equipment together and noticed the big metal panel was missing. I immediately called them but they immediately hesitated to pull over and check their truck. I knew right away that they don't want to come back.
I searched all places (old and new) just to be sure, but they were also driving further away as I did the search. After confirming that the item was not anywhere where we removed the machine nor at the destination, I was sure they left it in the truck, but they didn't want to turn back for me to check. They were on their way to another job. I patiently waited for them to check and they claimed it wasn't there. I guess it's so much easier for them to get rid of it than come back 2 hours and return the missing panel. Submitted a claim to their customer care, let's see if they are willing to cover their employee's recklessness.

The day of my move granted it rained that afternoon. 2pm came and no call. I called them and they advised of the delay. I waited, the rain stopped. It was close to about 4 or 5, of course the rain pushed back the time but I let them know I was flexible and I was free all night. They immediately declined. They could not be of service to me. I said, "Okay. What about Sunday."
First I was told, "We don't work on Sundays" and then I was told they were book for Sundays. I said, "Ok I can do Mon early morning." Again declined. They could only do Tues. Why should I be inconvenienced when I already paid my deposit. They did not contact me to communicate any of this. I was the one contacting them. Oh and now the harassing Charlie is nowhere to be found. Very unprofessional. Glad I found another company to move my things without the hidden fees I heard they have.

I told them that was not was I scheduled when I talked to the scheduling person. He then assured me that the guys would be there around 8:30 am. Moving day, I got a call at 8:37 am telling me that they wouldn't be there till 10:30 am.... They showed up 4 HOURS LATE!!!
We finally started packing the truck ourselves. Since they were so late, we only used them for an hour. They charged me for the full-time and gas despite the fact they didn't drive my stuff to anywhere. They tried to charge for for packing materials, but I made a big fuss. I would have argued more but I had to get on the road. I called them the next days to discuss my experience and then blew me off... Told me to email Jessica my complaint. I never got a reply email. When quote was obtained it was explained that we had large items included in our 1200 sq ft home. Staff polite and presented well to start. After loading the boxes we had it was clear that our furniture was not going to fit things seemed to get frantic between the staff. They basically crammed our furniture in a truck without blankets or care at all. We have a dining room set that is our great grandmothers. We were so focused on that and failed to see how all of our other furniture was handled. Our hallway tile was scratched as our desk and hutch were dragged out of our bedroom of the home we were moving from.
Upon arriving at our new home 3 miles away....each and every piece of furniture is chipped, scratched, caved in not to mention the scratches on our brand new floor. Not only did they improperly stack and damage our floors and furniture, they could not fit everything so we still had to get friends to help finish moving us. All of this for a 3 MILE move for 1200.00. I am still finding damage and it's 4 days later. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. WORSE experience ever. I kick myself for not reading Yelp before hiring them but reviews in Google seemed ok. This ordeal started soon after hiring them. The assistant Manager Sam was rude and condescending. Ultimately the manager Michael reassured me it was a one time issue. The movers did not wrap correctly a light color couch and lay it down on a dirty truck with dirty water so it obviously stained. Then when they tried to remove the plastic wrap, they cut the fabric. They charged me for supplies (wrapping plastic roll, tape) that they took afterwards! (I was planning on using these for my husband's move). They reassured me they were going to call me to clean this up, but never did despite me calling and emailing them.
After a handful of calls and emails I was finally able to get a hold of the manager Michael (told them I was waiting on hold until he was free.. and all of the sudden, he was) who was rude and said he read my review in Google and that he will email customer service about this, after which he hanged up on me! This was not even a cheap move! My husband is paying the same amount to move from NY to Milford (70 miles) than what I paid for 15 miles.

After the 2 items were unloaded, we were presented with a $678.00 bill and it had to be paid before they would unload the rest of the items. When we called to complain to supervisor (who was rude) he said we had agreed, over the phone, to pay that amount which included fuel charges, shrink wrapping and other surcharges. Ridiculous! My theater chairs were wrapped in nothing but tape, which ruined the upholstery, the walls at the apartment I moved out of were scratched and dented, objects were shoved into boxes and drawers without my permission, and the movers had the gall to pull a plastic cup out of my sink that they then proceeded to use as a doorstop. They destroyed my cherry four poster bed, knocked holes in my walls, damaged a light fixture completely breaking it from the electrical box in the ceiling. Plus left dirty hand prints on my newly painted walls. Scratched my hardwood floors. Left furniture unassembled, and handles off my appliances. Did not complete their work, leaving me and my disabled husband, with my 82 year old mother to finish the job. The move was estimated to take about 6 hours. They started at 2pm & didn't end until 11pm. It was INSANE! My husband had to call their boss twice. They broke (beyond repair) a TV & dining room table. They knocked parts off of our elliptical machine, scratched/chipped/dented a coat rack & brand new wall decor, as well as broke the leg on my son's dresser and another leg on my husband's large toolbox. We were scheduled to move on a Friday morning. An hour after they were due, received a phone call saying they could not come as DOT had detained 2 of their trucks (evidently this translates to they overbooked). We were rescheduled for Tuesday which really pushed us with time as the buyers wanted to move in.
The movers showed up with only 1 truck and we were told it would be a 2 day move. More negotiations with new buyers. Tried to charge us $800 more than our quote. Had to present the original contract and they finally honored that. Could not get everything in the 2nd truck. Movers said they would return the next day, making 3 days of moving. Did I mention we were moving 2 hours away? So this meant a lot of extra driving that we were not expecting. The company did not want the movers to come back on the 3rd day, just leave us hanging. The mover convinced them that it wasn’t right to leave us in a lurch. They were an hour late, but they came. Again, the company is horrible to deal with, you always feel you’re getting the runaround. Going through a divorce, she felt this would be best in saving some money. 4 movers arrived at the house "on time" to get started. Everything was going fine when she received a call from Mike **, Asst. operations manager stating that he was going to have to charge her an extra $1,000 because "she had more stuff than they realized". Then, as they took it down our apartment complex stairs, they dragged the side of it and both gouged the piano and broke one of the stairs. Our movers response was "just kick the stair back in it will be fine."
After completing our move, I began the claim process with All My Sons. I submitted photos and a claim form and it has now been 26 days with zero contact or momentum in the claim after repeated email attempts. The one email I received back was from an assistant operations manager, and I was told it was now my job to contact the GM and claims because it "never takes this long" but I was given no contact info or names And every time I email, I am told that person no longer works for them and given another address. Yesterday I hired them again to move me from a one bedroom apartment to another apartment to buildings down in the same complex. I chose them because I trusted their service and because as it stands I needed help since I am having a severe case of gout. The 3 movers and the truck arrived at my apartment around 8 am. From the beginning we had issues. They sent me 2 wardrobe boxes without the hanger inserts so all my clothes had to be on the floor. I called the office and got the charges removed. I was happy by the level of service provided although the boxes were still useless to me.
My issues started around 9 am when the crew started slowing down. Taking one box at the time down and complaining about having to carry 3 bags of pillows. Going as far as making trips in and out without carrying anything. Needless to say that a move that should have been simple as it was a very small apartment, and only moving 2 buildings down took over 9 hours with 3 movers and it didn't get completed. They poorly organized the truck and refused to take my shoes, my laundry room plastic bins and some other bits and ends around there. Today after paying over $1200 to be moved I still have to fight my gout and finish on my own. I called and complained but was told to wait for call back. No response as of yet 24 so far and waiting. Honestly, if I had anyone at my business with their attitude they’d be filling out an employment application somewhere else because they’d be terminated immediately. People, it’s not a matter of losing just one customer, it’s that this grows exponentially and this one customer you lost actually turns into many customers that you lost. Even with a clear explanation of the size of the storage unit, they misjudged the size and quantity of trucks needed and my parents had to scramble to quickly book another truck, all on the clock for these movers, paying a much higher price for the truck because they booked it last minute (which meant that they also had to return it to Ft. Collins from Aurora, rather than drop it at another location).
More concerning and devastating, however, were the following: While the four-crew members were nice and courteous, it was clear that NONE of them knew anything about how to safely conduct a large move, how to properly and safely load and unload the truck or carefully and attentively move heavy furniture. Three of the four movers had major falls during the move. I'm not sure how they escaped without major injuries, however, my parents' furniture was not that lucky. It was clear that none of them like their job, and although I don't think it was intentional, I'm sure this had an impact on the care they took in moving my parents' stuff.
Heavy furniture was loaded on top of fragile, light, valuable items. Items were not wrapped, or loaded properly. EVERY SINGLE major piece of (VERY EXPENSIVE, ANTIQUE WOOD) furniture suffered some level of damage, ranging from chips, dents and scrapes to multiple broken legs (on tables and chairs), a giant crack in the front of their grandfather clock, and shelves whose tops were completely cracked off. When I say EVERY piece, I'm not talking about just a few pieces--this includes multiple dressers, multiple desks, multiple tables, multiple buffets, multiple china cabinets, multiple shelves, multiple headboards, etc. These were cherished family heirlooms that had been well-cared for and carefully moved in previous moves. Additionally, boxes of papers were dropped, causing their paperwork to fly all over the truck, getting smashed, dirty, crumpled and in some cases, lost to the wind.
Although the original quote was nearly $800 less than the other movers that my parents had originally planned to go with, with the added cost of the extra truck and extra time, the final cost with All My Sons Moving Boulder was more than $100 more than the other company, not including the tip that my parents felt obliged to give to Josh and his crew.
If you value your stuff, please don’t hire these movers. More importantly, if you want to have a stress-free move with professionals who care about your stuff and know what they're doing, DEFINITELY DO NOT hire this company. [Please note: While this was for my parents' move, I was present to witness this. My parents were devastated, are older and are not as web-savvy, so I am providing the review because they are not sure how to.]

I've used you in the past for my moves and have always been great to work with. However, over the weekend I moved and one of my boxes never made it to my new apartment. It was labeled "Liquor" and "Fragile". Over $300 worth of wine and liquor just gone. Pretty convenient that that was the ONLY box that went missing during a move. I will never use your company again. I hope your employees had a good Saturday night on my dime.

I have never seen in my life some place calling themselves professionals and charging me 1400.00 dollars for a full service move, and then let their thieves go thru all my stuff and take what they wanted. I would say I'm over a thousand dollars of my belongings are missing.
I have already called the cops and made several reviews on different review pages and but these people will go on to let worthless POS's work for them cause they are unscrupulous and dishonorable. I implore anyone looking to make a move to call some other company, and for God's sake don't take your eyes off the felons. If I could give zero stars, I would because this was such an unbelievably unprofessional company. I was moving a 1 bedroom apartment and specified that it was only including the large items in my apartment that my boyfriend and I couldn’t do ourselves, since I lived on the 19th floor of a building. These items were a bed (which needed to be taken apart), dresser, nightstand, couch, lounge chair, entertainment unit, and table. I was quoted a 3 hour job; it ended up being 5 hours and 45 minutes and I’ll explain why. The loading area that I had reserved for the moving truck was blocked by another truck, which was out of my control. I took action, got the parking authority to move that vehicle, and at this time, the two movers were able to finally park, and walked into my apartment for a 1pm start, as opposed to the original 12.
I called the owner of the company, who couldn’t care less and said that it would be considered a 1230 start. As the day progressed, I caught one of the movers on his phone, talking to someone, leaning on my furniture, just hanging out as if he were at home. This also happened again when it took the both of them to take one small piece of furniture out to the elevator, and the same mover was doing nothing but showing pictures on his phone to the other mover as they came back into my apartment, continuing to waste time. I said at this point, ‘are we almost done here?’, because at this point it was 3:30.
They were finally done at 4, and as I left to go to my new place, the owner called me and asked how everything was going. I told him about the two times I caught his employee on his phone and how unacceptable it was and his response was ‘yeah, they shouldn’t be delaying like that’. No offer to cut me a break on the cost since now, it’s already an hour over the estimated time.
It took me 27 minutes to get to my new home, and I called the owner to let him know that since all of the delays resulted in traffic in my former city. His reply- ‘yeah, they just started the truck now’. I was in tears. I knew this 7 mile drive was going to take way longer than it should. When they finally arrived, I had to pay to release my furniture. I called the owner to tell him how unhappy I was with the time it took for such a small job, and again, he could t care less and just had a condescending attitude and said the price is what it is. AVOID this company at ALL costs. I’m lucky nothing was broken and wished that I read all of these awful reviews that others have had because they ARE TRUE!

STAY AWAY! The 2 movers they sent were out of shape and overweight. It took them 5.5 hours to move a 1 bedroom apartment! They also did not put my bed together correctly. Not only that but they also stole my medication and my brand new Nike shoes! When I reported this to the manager he acted like he didn't care and also defended their 5.5 hour move! When I told him I would be sure to leave a review on several of the sites he said, "You have fun with that." and hung up. Very unprofessional company.

When they got there they said the pool table had to get disassembled which I told them it was already disassembled and they knew that's how it was going to be moved. We wasted 1 hour talking to the guys' boss and when we go to the next house which was 5 minutes away they came up that if I didn't pay an extra 450 dollars they wouldn't unload. They said it would take them an extra 1 hour to unload when it took them 1.5 hours to load. The guys were standing waiting for this and all this time the clock was still running. The movers got grease all over the carpet of the house I was leaving. That had to be cleaned. The company did not pay for it. They left the water on when they moved the washing machine flooding the upstairs. They said it wasn't their fault. The movers broke my table, TV tray stand, an ottoman and damaged a cedar chest and bookcase. Since I have unpacked, several items are missing that I wasn't aware of until now. They obviously keep items they wanted. This company is not cheap and is not professional and is not honest. I would not even give it a star if I could do negative points.

My wife and I contacted All My Sons to help us move our "big furniture" into our new home. Three men met us at the 1st location which was a storage building at 9:00 am and the first thing I noticed was a strong odor of **. My first thought was do they not do random drug test on these guys? My 71 year old Father-In-Law and I brought all the heavy big furniture from the 3rd floor down to a staging area where the 3 guys could load the truck. My Father-In-Law and I had everything down that we wanted moved by 10:15-10:30.
My Father-In Law and I then went to his house where his garage was packed with more furniture. We waited and waited and finally got a call from the driver around 11:25-11:30 stating that they had one more piece of furniture to load and they would be on the way. 30-45 minutes later they showed up to the house which is literally less than 2 miles from the storage unit. WHAT IN THE WORLD!!! Does it really take that long to load one piece of furniture??? So my Father-In-Law and I brought everything down in an hour and fifteen minutes to an hour and a half from the 3rd floor of the storage unit yet it takes three men 3 hours to load the truck where all the furniture is in a staging area 30-40 feet from the truck!!! That is absolutely ridiculous!
When they got to my In-Law's house I asked them if we had to wrap everything and they said no. From this point forward, they didn't wrap another thing and things went a lot faster! When we got to the new house to unload, the guys had to get me to fill out a form first before they would unload the truck which we didn't have a problem with...however, my wife and I had figured it would be around $900 or a little less, but when we saw the bill it was $1089 minus the $50 deposit which made it $1039! This is around $150 more than we had anticipated!
I called the office and spoke with a guy who was very rude towards me with an "I don't give a crap" attitude and he explained that if the guys finished early then we would be credited that amount back to our account. They unloaded much faster and scratched our hardwood floors in a couple of places really bad, and banged and scuffed our walls really bad getting furniture upstairs. All of the big items that went upstairs were wrapped with moving blankets and the items that were not wrapped were put in the living and dining rooms downstairs.
After a week went by, my wife actually had to call to get the money credited back to us... The guys left our house at 2:30 as I looked to see what time they left knowing that we should be refunded. When talking to the same rude guy at the office he informed me that the "GPS" showed them leaving at 2:40. Now I'm being called a liar since I specifically looked at my watch and it said 2:30!!! This is by far the worst company every and their ratings show for it! Should have listened to several friend and hired Tiger Moving and Storage!!! Absolutely would not recommend this company to anyone as they will RIP you off!

We had All My Sons move furniture from our storage unit in Largo to our new home we had not even moved into yet. They damaged an expensive office desk (broke the leg); broke drawers, ripped the screen on the door (new home). They broke dishes, damaged door frames. When putting the back on a recliner the guy pushed it and it hit the wall and made a red streak across the wall. And much more broken items that can't be recalled today. We called the company to file a claim and they gave us the run around and said an appraiser would come to the house... Ha it never happened and now it has been a year still no word from them.
We even tipped three drivers $100 each and bought them lunch and one of the drivers said the sub he asked us for was not correct. Can you imagine he complained after buying his lunch. They broke the tiles on a outdoor table and now we have a table with two tiles still missing. I gave them the tiles after the driver said they would fix them. Horrible horrible moving company. If you value your furniture use someone else. I can't provide photos because we have repaired the stuff since our claim was left on deaf ears with no intention of ever resolving the issue.

They will tell you over the phone that they charge you 129 for 3 or 260 for 6 people. They do not tell you about additional charges like for example packing material. So they come with their truck and since they do not charge you by weight they now load the truck in such a way that it becomes necessary to have a second truck. Now they charge you extra for the second truck. They will also ask you for payment for each step prior to that step being completed. They load the truck you need to pay, before they unload the truck, you need to pay again. This is highway robbery.
While we were discussing the charges the drivers were told to take off with the truck. Even though, we had not even completed our negotiations with the company. They do not care what you say or if they are wrong or right. They simply left. The manager told us on the phone, "I do not keep the people there if you do not want to pay". This moving company is a complete SCAM!! I was told over the phone that I would need to pay $100 deposit before scheduling a moving date and time. I was quoted $110 an hour, for a two man crew and truck. When they arrive, they have three guys to a truck. They began moving me and my girlfriend's belongings... Mind you, all of our items were by the door, ready to be picked up and taken to the truck. Maybe a total of 15 items. But anyways fast forward to them getting to our new place. The lead mover comes to me with this tablet and explains to me the moving expenses. He says it’s $546 for just the labor and it’s $144.95 an hour for a three man crew. I also was charged for mileage as well. After they deducted my $100 deposit, the grand total was $745.
I thought it was a joke when the mover showed me this bill. So he offered me to speak to his manager. I told him that there is no way that I’m paying $745, for this small move that was just made. If I had known it would have cost me this much, I we would’ve done it ourselves. He says he’ll just have his guys take my stuff back to their headquarters and unload it there. That’s when I got very frustrated and told him that my belongings will not be taken anywhere, but placed in my new apartment. He puts me on hold for a minute, then comes back and says, "the best I can do for you is $645." I said this move should have only cost, maybe $250-$300. There's no way I’m paying that. Plus I was told that I was being charged $110 for a two man crew and your guys show up with three, without saying a word to me about it. Now you want me to pay $144.95 an hour. It’s not gonna happen.
He starts to try to over talk me and argue with me. Finally I get tired of the back and forth, so I just say, take the $100 deposit off the $645, which would make it $545 and leave it at that. He says okay but if your items are damaged, they’re not reliable for them and that I can’t file a claim because I didn’t pay the full price. So I pay the bill and the movers began to move me and my girlfriend's stuff in.
They take most of the stuff where it’s suppose to be, but tell me that their boss says they can’t take everything where it’s suppose to go because they were suppose to be gone an hour ago... I said to the three movers... "do you guys go through this all the time with people who feel that they are getting way overcharged?” They said “all the time. We’re always in these situations, because our company aggressively overcharges their customers.” I say all of that to say this... stay as far away from ALL MY SONS MOVING COMPANY!! Where to begin... My husband booked the service, he explained what we were moving. We had a storage unit (including sq footage) as well as items from our home (itemized and told square footage) that we were moving about 45 minutes away. He was quoted 4 men, 6 hours for $700 approx. The gentleman showed up, there were only 3 men. I personally stayed with them at the storage unit. The men were extremely personable, and FAST with the shed. We went back to the house, and they began loading there. Things didn’t go as well here. One gentleman didn’t follow the direction of the man that appeared to be the lead. He ended up scratching our wall. Not so bad that I couldn’t patch it...but that’s not the point. Our coffee table was dropped and broken out of the truck.
I know things happen in a move. However this happened because of the company mistake. Not only did our belongings not fit on the truck. We spent an extra hour and a half...almost 2...just watching them play adult Tetris with our items trying to make everything fit. This is when our coffee table fell off the truck. My husband arrived home and wasn’t happy at all with what he found. The gentleman moving were not allotted a time to eat or even stop for water. It was evident they were trying their best to hurry, they were working for HOURS and were not allowed to take a break. I asked. "Can you not eat? You have to have a lunch...legally." I was told they were only given 5-6 hours to get the move done and they couldn’t eat until it was done.
By the time we arrived to our new place...we were past the time we were originally quoted and they hadn’t even dropped our items off at our new storage shed. Half of the fittings for my sons bed were lost because they weren’t removed from the bed before it was moved. A crucial component of our storage shelf was lost. We filed a form for the broken items and we were reimbursed partially for those. However. Our $700 quote...we were billed a final bill of $1500. My husband called and the person in the phone basically told him it wasn’t an exact quote and tried to educate him on what approximate meant. No arguing on our part, the fact that the company made the mistake that caused the extra time...or that damage was done BECAUSE of that negligence seemed to matter.
We absolutely are floored by the verbal treatment and my husband and are livid with this company. Absolutely the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. The disrespect for our time and money is unacceptable. I can only suggest that you stay far away from this company. They are dishonest, and then when called on it...turn it back on you for not knowing better.

This is my second time personally using movers here in Denver, and this move was twice as much as my previous move with Local Moving LLC ($199/hr flat rate). As a real estate agent, I have referred this company to past clients who are moving, but I’ve never heard how much their moves were. But from this point on I will never refer to any client again, as well as letting Coldwell Banker - Denver know to do the same. I personally moved this weekend, my total move was $581, a majority of this was ridiculous fees.
1) They charged me $72 for the materials (6 tapes, 1 roll of plastic wrap, and a mattress bag). I was loading up my car with clothes and got back in the house and everything had been wrapped. I told the movers I could tape my rugs, and they said not to worry about it, they could do it. I had the mattress, and other furniture wrapped in an old quilt too.
2) Dishonesty goes a long way, I guess! When I spoke to the dispatcher originally, I asked the price and he told me $150/hour, a “special rate” for me referring customers to them. I asked about any additional fees and he told me that I could buy packing material, but I told him there was no need since I didn’t have much furniture, the mice was short, and I didn’t need my furniture wrapped. This is why I went with All My Sons instead of Local Movers LLC.
3) I moved 3/4 of a mile away from my current place in Englewood. The movers arrived at 8:00 am and were completely finished moving me by 9:30 (but there is a two hour minimum, which is OK). My move only consisted of 1 bedroom, 1 living room, a bath and a dining room + kitchen boxes. The travel time was charged at $149, plus the $149 x 2 hours, materials, a labor charge of $298, and fuel charge of $63. Beware of all these hidden fees, and I recommend using Local Moving LLC instead @ $199/hour. Flat rate.

Chris and crew showed up at 9 in two trucks which could not even get onto the driveway. This resulted in a visit from Noelle and calls from the “manager” Paul. I reminded all of them that I had explicitly asked if they had trucks which short rear extensions and that they had assured me that they did.
Paul’s solution was to send Chris down to Denver to pick up two trucks from Penske. An hour later they were back. While these trucks had short rear extensions, they had low trailer hitches which meant they couldn’t get on the driveway either. At this point Paul called and told me that he had been working very hard and had located a rental flatbed truck at Home Depot in Golden. He said that I had to rent the truck and then use it to shuttle furniture from the house to their trucks at the bottom of the driveway. When I asked if I was expected to pay for this in addition to their costs he said yes. He also told me that if I didn’t get the smaller truck that they would have to reschedule me. I pointed out that we were closing the sale on our house the next day and that I couldn’t reschedule. I told him that he had a hell of a way of running a business.
At this point Chris told me that the crew would get me moved that day no matter what Paul said. I went to Golden and got the flatbed. We eventually finished the move at 9 pm that night. Chris and crew still had to return the Penske trucks. I told him and the crew that they were better employees than AMS so called management deserved. While the moving crews are great the management it totally focused on sales and slogans. In the end the move cost nearly double the original bid largely because of the time wasted. Naturally there was no talk of a partial refund from the erstwhile manager Paul. I do not recommend All My Sons.

Plus the movers came hours later. The company never called me to make me aware. I was just sitting around wasting time, I had to call them several times to find out what was going on and still no one had any information until the 3rd call. I feel like I was just a number. They did not care about me as a customer. They just wanted their money and that's it.

If you are in the need of hiring a company to help you load your house for a move I would not hire All My Sons. The owners are rude and will lie to you and do nothing to cover expenses they themselves stated the employees they have damaged. I had them load a truck for an out of state move. The workers argued in front of my family. Came up missing and we had to look for them and tell them to come in and move items out. They broke the door of my washing machine by not closing it when coming down the stairs. When I called the company they agreed the workers damaged and guess what? When filing a complaint with Texas office I get no reimbursement. I would never want to deal with this company again. Lies and Not Professional at all. Lies and the workers were far below par. We hired AMS to move our belongings approximately 90 miles within the state of Alabama and it could not have been a worse experience. EVERY item of ours was damaged, in some way, through pure carelessness and a toolbox full of antique hand tools - collected over 50 years - was stolen. A priceless antique rocking chair, a family heirloom, was severely damaged and had to be restored. We estimated all the damage at over $3000 and after many complaints they offered us $180. Zero stars! My only recommendation about this company would be to stay as far away from them as possible.

I used All My Sons Moving in July, 2018. Worst move of my life, of which there have been several. The move was over two with packing included. The packing which should have been completed the first day was not, so most of the second day was filled with packing not completed the day before. I was constantly threatened with being charged more for extra time, even though they had not put in a full day the day before to finish packing. The move (just a couple of blocks) was disorganized and rushed as the "fellows" were in a hurry to get to a party that evening. Awful experience!
Then to add insult to injury, the movers dropped an armoire down a flight of stairs causing wall damage to my home, which I had to get repaired by the next day, which was the closing of my home. After getting organized with my unpacking, I was missing a piece of art. I filed a claim with All My Sons for the stolen art piece and the repair cost to me for the wall damage. In addition I filed a police report. They have refused to settle fairly. I claimed $750 with receipts for the damage repair and the cost of the art piece. They have haggled incessantly and recently offered me $500. I will not take this offer as it is not what I claimed. My next step is small claims court!

Can you not a give any stars to a business? This would be one. The movers never showed up on the day we arranged. The day they came only 2 movers showed up. I had helpers lined up for the day that they were supposed to come but with the change I couldn't have helpers. I was promised 3 movers and only received 2. Then I was told that my $100 deposit would be put towards the balance. ALSO! I have a text from the movers saying I would receive a discount for them not showing up on Friday. So yes I got a little discount for this but for having 2 movers instead of 3 and the time it took to load was incredibly slow the worker just talked and talked the whole time. We agreed on the total to be $550.
I was expecting the $100 deposit to be applied to this so when I was reviewing my Credit Card balance this was NOT the case so I called to request the $100 back. They said I signed and agreed to it and I said NO. I was speaking with Collin and he said no. That the $100 was NOT included in the $550. I spoke to LYLE and he was the same way. Both are hiding behind the fact that I signed for services and therefore they are legally protected. And then I asked, "Is that how you run your business?" I'm not asking for a FREE move. I'm asking to be fairly REIMBURSED. We had helpers at our new location and guess what. It took less than 30 minutes to UNLOAD!!! 2 people to load and not 3 people drove up the cost and I'm stuck paying for the help of 3!!! WHAT THE HECK type of business is this?! Move was scheduled for 8:00 am Saturday, Dec 29, 2018. They showed up at 2:00 and I had to call them to get updates in between. Driver came in and proceeded to track my carpet with muddy shoes. When the estimator came out days before the move, she showed me nice pictures of the protective coverings that the crew would cover walls, floors and staircase. Never happened. All the company provides the crew is a 2 1/2 foot wide runner, which was not put down until I confronted them about the mud on my light carpet. It didn’t even cover the entire stairway.
Three man crew and five and a half hours later, they still didn’t have everything loaded. And we were not moving any appliances. Company had sent a fourth guy to help about four and a half hours into it. One of the guys covered my sofa table with padding that smelled like vomit. I complained about it and the driver and his crew ripped it off, walked out, got into their truck and drove off. Not even completing the load. And said nothing. The dispatcher had spoken with me earlier and indicated they would need to be able to offload until the next day. I was furious. Sitting home all day waiting on them. No one at the computer and could provide answers. Only would say they were sorry. Would not discount the price of the move.
A lot of my furniture was damaged, in addition to delays and cost incurred for hotel. Will be filing a claim this week seeking cost for damages. Believe these negative reviews. This company made a stressful time even more so. Very unorganized company and poor planning cost us time and money going into holiday weekend. Since beds were on their truck, got hotel room, which they said they will not pay for. All this was their fault. What else could I do? New crew the next day, two guys, worked circles around the other four and got our belongings unloaded and had to drive an hour back to our old house to get the items that were not loaded initially. That necessitated that my husband had to drive back as well. Since they had the beds loaded, no bed at either old or new house. Got a hotel room.

I chose All My Sons Movers because I thought they were excellent, none of that is true. The reviews that were on the website were all good. I had a very difficult time trying to find where to put a bad review from my experience with them. There are a lot of very bad reviews if you look hard enough. The company would not answer my calls. They packed the truck tightly and moved from Bourbonnais to Joliet, IL. All My Sons Movers dismantled my 4 poster canopy bed which was put together terribly. They had no idea how to put it together properly. THE BASE was ruined, TO STABILIZE the bed, I have to put bricks for support where it attaches to the headboard. They didn't care anything about it.
They just wanted me to sign the digital receipt and leave as fast as they can. We didn't have time to inspect any of the furniture which we found out was scratched and damaged. We trusted them to be honest. Their appraisal was $600 and I had to pay over $1400. No receipt was given. I put in a complaint to Southwest. Charge company to review the damage that day. Yes I charged the move. After 3 months of bickering with the moving company, SOUTHWEST CHARGE COMPLAINT DEPARTMENT went along with All My Sons Movers. SO WE STILL OWE THEM $1200. If I replace or had a professional fix the 4 poster bed base, scratched furniture, and floor, there is no guarantee that I would be compensated. I would owe more money which I can't afford. In the dispute I had pictures of the damage but that wasn't enough.
I was told fix it and send the bill. The movers and complaint department would again review the damage. At this point I can't afford to buy new furniture or have a professional fix the bed and furniture. I have to live with the damage and try to fix the base of the bed or leave bricks holding the base up so we can sleep on the mattress. To buy another bed alone would be more than $1400. I would owe more than $2800 and still not get compensated. I never moved before.
Beware of All My Son's Movers in Chicagoland area. They are not a reputable company. I should have checked around with someone personally to recommend a moving company, Two Men with a Truck would have been 100% better than All My Sons Movers. Too late now. Do not use them as your movers. You will be sorry and not compensated for the damage done to your furniture. You have no one to help you to fight them. The salesperson was a young kid who knew nothing about moving. He gave me an estimate that I agreed to. When the movers showed up, on the day of the move, the terms had changed. I either had to accept them or find somebody else. The salesperson said I was being charged based on time and a certain size of truck. I could fill it as full as I like. He even said the more I brought down to the garage (close to the truck) the quicker it would go and if there was room left over we could throw more on if we like. The salesperson and I walked through the house and he entered the information I told him. There were several items he said wouldn't be a problem and didn't write down. The actual movers refused to move those items because they weren't listed on the quote. The move was delayed 1-1/2 hrs while I talked with their manager.
The actual movers were incredibly inexperienced and untrained. I have moved many times and watching these guys was like watching the three stooges. They actually fell several times coming out of the house and damaged several items. The company refused to pay for these items and/or would only give me a few dollars for the damage. I have a ruptured disk in my back so I paid to have the movers move the big items that I couldn't get (treadmill, elliptical, beds, dressers, couches, etc). The salesperson said they would disassemble and reassemble everything. The movers showed up with a tiny bag of tools. The only screwdrivers they had was a set you use to repair eyeglasses! I am being serious. What is even worse is the kid was trying to take things apart with the tiny screwdriver. I had to loan them my tools and even had to take many things apart because they couldn't figure out how to do it.
And what was worse is that they lost a lot of parts so I couldn't put things back together at the new house. They severely damaged my walls and floor. The list goes on and on. I have been a part of corporate moves at least 7 times over my career and even moved myself at least 6-8 times. I have never see anything like this. Run as fast as you can and stay as far away from this company as you can. The customer service is horrible. Every person I spoke with was incredibly rude and could care less about resolving my problems or helping me.
They knew I had no other choice and they took advantage of it. I never write review but I had to in this case. Do not use these people or you will regret it. If you do - record the meeting with the salesperson and every word you tell him and verify every single piece of furniture you want moved is clearly listed on the quote. If you decide to use them please make sure you have a backup plan and you aren't tied to the actual day of the move. And - good luck. You will need it.

So a day or two before the scheduled move, I called for help, and they were saviors. Got everything packed and loaded on the truck. The next day we needed to unload into a townhouse, half the size of the prior house, and the master en suite was not ready. We made a plan to use one of the bedrooms as a storage unit and packed it floor to ceiling, front to back with boxes, which saved us the inconvenience and additional expense of a storage unit or pod. I'm a reasonable guy, a nice guy. I've moved over 13 times in my adult life. I know moving is hard labor and I'm very understanding of what's involved - this being said I didn't bother the movers even though they were moving at a glacial pace. I am from the Dallas area (where All My Sons began- I think) so I have used All My Sons before and they were great and swift. However, today, this moving company has won an awesome 1 star from me. My advice is be careful and ask THE CORRECT questions. Otherwise you'll be shocked when it's time to pay.
Amber ** in Atlanta, GA called me to book, she told me my hourly rate, said the guys would come in... Wrap up my items then move me - which they did. However, they move extremely slow. They didn't begin moving swiftly until I said the money has run out. Period! AND I had to carry items myself to speed up the process! When it was time to pay I was hit with an unexpected packing material charge. I was charged $50 for tape and a mattress cover/plastic bag. These items cost 1/4 of the price at Wal-Mart. I WASN'T ASKED IF I WANTED THE MATERIAL THEY JUST DID IT ON THEIR OWN. When I spoke with Amber ** originally her wording didn't include a fee for this.
Again, words mean things so you should asked the CORRECT QUESTIONS and get the correct worded response, otherwise you end up with ** on your face as I have. I've moved 13 times, I have my own material. I then called and spoke with Terrence and he was completely rude, dry, monotone and an ** - some advice for you sir is Customer Service and DELIVERY go a very long way. Terrence said the cost of the package material was on the letter Amber emailed me. However, It doesn't say what to do if you didn't ask for it though. For the sake of not arguing with a stop sign, I ended the conversation.
I'm a rational guy but I do not appreciate the attitude you took with me Terrence. ** you and YOU TERRENCE have cost your company a customer. I read an All My Sons Moving review about this - they have your items on the truck then have you pay and endure add-on cost. You're stuck with no other options if you want your belongings. This type of business practice I will not work with ever again. In all, I paid over $600 to move a 1 bedroom in-town (that I had to help the movers complete). I paid less to have a POD moved across 4 states! I will not use All My Sons Moving & Storage Again. I will not recommend All My Sons Moving & Storage to anyone that I know.
If anyone ask me who I used to move I will boldly them my story and repeatedly caution them to use someone, anyone else. No one appreciates being taken advantage of. One day the Wrath of God will come down on All My Sons Moving & Storage and I hope I am alive to see it. I always tip and planned on tipping the guys around $50. Sorry guys, your company took your tip. I hope they buy you lunch or something. DO NOT write a generic "We're Sorry" response to my review as it will be deleted. Good luck and Goodbye.

My husband and I hired All My Sons to move us from one city to another in Ohio. A representative came to our home to give us a quote and assured us that All My Sons would provide experienced staff to move our possessions with the greatest of care. On the day of the move, November 5, 2018, 4 nice people showed up at our front door. Not dressed in any type of company shirts or logo, I became concerned that these people were not regular staff. One of them wore sport slip on flip flops with bright yellow socks. It did not take long before I realized that these were NOT experienced movers. Basically, our furniture, artwork and boxed items were treated like it was so much garbage.
Everything was tossed around like it was being thrown away, not packed for a 30 minute trip across town. My leather sectional was wrapped but the cushions were used for padding in the truck. I had to ask them to take upholstered furniture off the truck and wrap it. Mattresses were only partially covered. An heirloom mirror was dropped and broken. A large chest was pulled apart while being carried to the truck. A pedestal table was cracked. These are the things we have noticed so far. We did not allow them to unpack anything as I did not think my things could survive any more mishandling. We were so concerned when we got to our new home, we actually helped them unpack the truck.
They did not cover their shoes, they left mud on the carpets, they used large dollies to move heavy boxes and rammed the dollies over thresholds and up and down stairs without any care at all. They gouged walls and doorway trim. Finally, I asked them to just leave everything inside the front door. This was a disaster as far as I’m concerned and I am sick about it. These people were not experienced movers, they were day workers picked up at some facility in Cleveland. I will go out of my way to warn my clients, family and friends about All My Sons Moving. I am writing only in the hopes of saving others from enduring the extreme stress and financial loss that I suffered as a result of hiring this company for my out of state move. All My Sons was hired to move my belongings from TN to FL recently. At the start of the process, they were extremely accommodating and informative during the walkthrough and quote process. All interactions subsequent to this, however, were beyond a nightmare. On the day of my move, the movers rushed through the move and did not pack in accordance to what we were told, including wrapping a television in my clean bed coverings for protection (rather than using a cardboard tv holder as described during the walkthrough). All of this was done without my permission.
The worst occurred when they dropped a large dresser down my staircase, breaking and damaging stair treads along the way and crashing into my new front door – leaving a hole in the door and other scratches and dents. They also wedged the front door under another adjoining door frame scraping and damaging the door frame and transferring red paint from the front door onto my newly painted moulding. Once the furniture was delivered, I began noticing damages to the vast majority of my furniture, including corners chipped off of my headboards, coffee tables, and the interior frame broken in my fairly new $800 living room chair. These damages, some of which were minor – especially considering the long distance move, were only the beginning.
A large portion of my belongings were delivered to a storage unit. The movers purposely left the moving blankets on several items (including my brand new dining room buffet table) and stored them in a location within the unit making it difficult for me to completely inspect while they were unloading. When I went back a few days later to properly uncover the items, I noticed that my brand new buffet table had a huge dent and hole in the top, damage so severe that I’m certain it cannot be repaired. Also, all of the corners were chipped off my large dining table and my smaller dining table.
Additionally, I had one dining chair whose frame was split on the side and numerous other dents, scratches, and scuffs (many of which will be noticeable even if they can be repaired). When I contacted All My Sons and their claims department, I was told that the claims process typically takes 30 days, so I began taking photos and writing detailed descriptions and submitted all with my claim. In the meantime, I had to pay for the home damages out of pocket so that I could put my house on the market. This caused me a delay of about a month with listing my home – a situation which my realtor informed me put us out of the peak market time, and is likely why my home has not sold months later (especially given that the repairs are noticeable – replaced stair treads could not be matched, etc.) and may cost me even more money down the line.
When my claim was finally processed, All My Sons offered me only a little over $300 for all of the damages – with only a little over a $100 relating to the damages done to my home. After considering that I made a payment to them of almost $9,000 for the move, endured thousands of dollars of damages to my home and property, and likely will lose thousands more due to the delay in listing my home and potential additional repairs to my staircase, I was not happy. When I called the claims department about the amount, I was told my only recourse was to submit more details on the home damage (repairs invoices) and that a committee would review and may pay an additional amount, however, they specifically said that they would not pay the full price of the home repairs regardless.
The property damage for the items being moved is one thing, but I’m not sure how they believe it’s fair to cause severe damage to my home and not be responsible to fully reimburse me. With all of this being said, on principle, I am refusing the $300, and will not sign and have notarized their paperwork confirming that this amount is sufficient. It is more important to me at this point that no one else endure what I went through with this company. Please, if you’re looking for local movers, choose a different alternative or have friends assist you with the move (even if it’s cross country). I have lost all of my nice belongings in this process and could buy a new car with the money I have spent and will spend to replace everything.

Stood my leather couch on end damaging it structurally. Broke my glass tabletops. Crushed and broke several other pieces of furniture. Movers stole Wii equipment. It was a terrible experience. When I stated I would seek legal action, they said “go ahead”. Corporate offices promised assistance and never complied. I am disabled. Horribly stressful. Truly felt violated and disrespected. Never again. I’m sure I’m not the only victim. Class action lawsuit seems appropriate.

All My Sons moved me out of my ATL apartment and stored my belongings for one year. No issues whatsoever with this move or the office staff.... In fact they were great to work with especially Amber. However, 2 weeks ago, I contracted with All My Sons to move my belongings from ATL to New York City. They told me the truck would leave first thing on a Wed morning and would arrive hopefully Thursday afternoon or Friday morning at the latest. I acknowledge with a 14 hour drive that traffic, road construction, accidents, truck breakdowns, etc could delay delivery. This schedule worked for me as I had a flight out on Saturday morning for vacation.
The Wednesday the truck was supposed to leave I received NO calls or updates from AMS Movers as to status. My bad for not calling them to verify the truck was on its way. Had I known the truck did NOT leave on Wed I would have re-scheduled delivery for the following week after my vacation. Thursday morning 10am after receiving NO updates from AMS Movers, I called the office and spoke with Wendell, the Asst Manager. He told me the truck had not left yet because their long distance driver was delayed on a previous job. I pushed Wendell to explain why no one called me on Wed to alert me the delivery was delayed. He said he had a personal emergency that day that prevented him from calling. I asked did no one else in the office know how to use a phone and call me... He had no answer. Poor Customer Experience.
He then said the driver was on his way in, would load the truck and get on the road ASAP thus delivery should be sometime next day Friday. I was nervous about this but he GUARANTEED Friday delivery in the afternoon to meet the closing hours of my storage facility. The next morning Friday, again after receiving no updates or calls from anyone at AMS Movers, I called the office and spoke again with Wendell. He said as of 12:30 pm the truck was 1 hour south of Washington DC. I told him there was no way they would make it to NYC on a Friday afternoon and unload by 7:30pm, the closing hour of the storage facility. He had the nerve to say his guarantee was that my stuff would be in NYC by Friday and did not mean job completed by Friday... I asked Wendell several times what time did the truck leave the day before but he would not answer.
I was stuck as I had a flight out the next morning so this job had to be completed that day. I had to solve the problem myself by contracting for a 2nd storage unit in another facility that had 24 hour access. I had to do this by 5pm that day. I then waited at the facility until the truck arrived at 8:40 pm. I then assisted the 2 gentlemen in unloading my belongings due to the late hour.
I then learned the driver intended to leave first thing Thursday morning but Wendell sent him on another job which delayed them in leaving for NYC until late Thursday afternoon... A fact Wendell never informed me of and instead lied to me when he said the truck left as soon as the driver arrived and loaded up. Had the truck left without Wendell's re-assignment, they would have made NYC Friday afternoon and thus avoiding me having to get a 2nd unit, wait 3.5 hours for arrival and the late hour of 10 pm for job completion.
I will never use AMS Moving again... neither should anyone else... as their communications was horrendous, they failed to meet their promised schedule and guarantees and quite frankly I feel their Asst Manager Wendell LIED to me, misled me and treated me with little respect as a customer. I fully understand long distance moves are challenging with many obstacles and AMS Moving is NOT the company to trust for this especially with Wendell in charge.
I hate to call out specific people but because of Wendell alone, this experience was horrendous and the frustration I endured was due solely to him, his lack of communication, his misleading statements and lack of professionalism. BTW... the driver and his helper were amazing... very professional. Did a great job considering the situation they were in due to poor planning and management. Since completion last week, I have received no follow up calls from anyone at AMS Movers.

I contacted All My Sons Moving company because they are a business in a town where I work. I was called a liar when I confronted these people in their business. I have emails and voice messages that prove I am telling the truth here. I made sure to inform AMS that it will take two trucks to move my mother's household. Rep from AMS says, "Oh no way who told you that... we can get everything from your storages... which are 12 by 20... two storage units packed full. We were promised a time of expect a call from us on moving day.
We will phone you between 11 am and 1 pm." The call arrived at 1:11 with a message of, "We are on our way. Will be there in 45 minutes." 1 plus hour later they arrive... see both storages and say we need another truck... there is no way everything will fit. REALLY!!! In no way is this a reliable or friendly stick to our word and we will make you happy company. Avoid them at all costs. Rent a wheelbarrow from Home Depot...

I submit the story that I submitted to the claims department after the terrible move. Please read if considering this company. It will, or should deter you. Story: This move started with issues and ended in the same fashion. Lack of communication along the way has only enhanced the problem. We were given an estimate of $9500 for our move as a full packing plan. This estimate also included the pickup and delivery of our Jeep Grand Cherokee. We were told this assessment covered disassembly as well as packaging. We then proceeded to do a large portion of our own packing. We completely packaged two bedrooms and one bathroom and the majority of the garage. All wall items were removed and boxed. We disassembled the crib and trampoline. We got rid of several large items also.
These items included a set of dressers, a recliner chair, a whole set of patio furniture, bike trailer, and bunk beds frames with several smaller items. This was discussed with Jeff who said he would send a revised plan, which was not sent until July 31st at ~5 pm after the truck was loaded. The movers did arrive with the revision and it was addressed with them that we were told we would be charged with partial packing. We were told it could be dealt with later and they needed to get started. 3 movers arrived to pack items. One of the movers was too tired from a prior move or drive that he left after packing one or two kitchen boxes. He was outside napping in his truck while most items were boxed or wrapped. This is the same individual who would later fill out the itemized list the next day with item description (describing existing damages) the next day.
Several of the items were covered in moving blankets prior to his evaluation. I have issue with the way that was done for the fact that it was neither factual nor accurate. I will give only a single example, but I have many if needed. For example it is listed that we have “leather” couches that were “badly worn,” only problem being we have no leather furniture and the couch referenced was 2 months old and looks basically new. That is the same for the recliner that was noted to be bent and broken. While these items made it to the destination in great condition, which we appreciate, my point is that the listing of items was a complete farce at best. The most concerning part of this to me is that this may be your “professional” MO, if not sanctioned by the company itself, then embedded in your employees to protect themselves after real damage occurs.
On arrival multiple items were not tagged or tagged inaccurately making it impossible or very difficult to utilize the system as sold to verify that all items made it and were in similar condition on arrival. The way items were boxed was also somewhat of a joke. Again I will provide some examples. On arrival we told the movers to do certain areas last as we had some items we were going to get rid of or bring with us. One of these was the pantry. One of the movers started boxing the pantry towards the beginning. He boxed everything! One box had an empty Costco sized pretzels container and a near empty (literally 6 goldfish left) Costco sized box of Goldfish crackers. That was all that was in that 3.0 box. There were several items in that area that we planned on taking with us (baby food/formula) so we had to go through the boxes that were packed.
We found the items and multiple others as mentioned and decided to re-box multiple kitchen boxes to be more efficient and effective. As I mentioned in the damages section, this method of packaging continued throughout the house and included items that are more valuable and important including textbooks and electronics. There was a single lampshade in a large box… nothing else, this was piled under other boxes in the truck. Some of the pictures will demonstrate this problem of poorly utilized and packaged boxes. I believe that the fact that almost twice as many boxes were used as was estimated by Jeff only supports my point that the actual boxing process was not standard. While the estimate included 2 x 25 lb newsprints, I imagine not even a quarter of 1 of those was used to protect objects and fill empty spaces (all of that was on the 2 boxes of dishes).
While most of the boxing occurred the first day, they were unable to finish it due to lack of time and supplies, so a few parts of the house were left for the next day which was scheduled for loading. The time frame for all stages of the move was important and they were discussed in detail with Jeff prior to the move. Other events were scheduled according to that plan. One scheduled event that was directly affected was the carpet cleaning. The moving company was made aware of the scheduled cleaning at noon on the 31st and the scheduled walkthrough for the move out at 4 pm. The movers said that they would come at 7:00 am on the 31st to finish the packing and load the truck to ensure that there was plenty of time for the cleaning and checkout. They did not show up until approximately 10:15-10:30.
No update on change of time or plans was communicated. While a second team did come to help for a quick 30 minutes to try and move everything downstairs, there were still several areas upstairs that were not packed including the master closets. My wife and I then packed the master closets to move things along. There were functionally only two movers at this time as one individual (the guy sleeping through the prep process) logged our stuff describing “damages”. It was obvious by noon since the entire downstairs living and front rooms were full of stuff and there were still unpacked areas, the cleaning was not going to happen as scheduled and had to be canceled. We were charged from our deposit by the landlord to later perform the cleaning. Everything was barely out of the house by 4:00 pm for the walkthrough, allowing only brief vacuuming after each room was cleared of items.
While we tried to express our concerns about these issues early in the move process, no one appeared to be interested. The only calls we received were to collect the remaining balance prior to delivery of our goods. I was told I would be called by a “Heather” from claims once the delivery was done. I was told that at that point our issues would be addressed. That call never came, even after it was requested multiple times from Jeff. Anyhow, upon arrival of our items, the unloading verified the poor job done on the packing end. To quote the unloading third party crew that helped us, “in my past 10 years of professional moving experience, we have not seen anything done like this before.” The first thing I noticed as the trailer was opened was a web of bikes with my $1500 computer (fortunately wrapped in a blanket) wedged in at a peculiar angle between other objects.
Heavy boxes on top, many mostly empty boxes, and the other moving company noted all damaged items as well. Pictures have been taken to verify the story and damages. We also had issue with the move of the car. We were told the Jeep would be picked up on the 31st with the loading of the truck. We were told there was no available driver, so we had to drop the vehicle off at All My Sons' business location. We were told we would receive a discount for this, which has not occurred. Delivery of the Jeep was also a mess. It was suppose to arrive the same day as the drop off of the truck on the 16th of August. It didn’t come and multiple attempts to locate the vehicle failed. No communication occurred for 5 days as we waited for a vehicle that was needed for work. We were close to reporting our car as stolen. Fortunately it did show up without damage.
In summary, this has been a pretty horrible experience. I have moved a lot of people including myself many times over the past few decades. I was expecting professional service from a professional company to whom I have paid what I, and I believe most people, would consider a significant sum of money. I consider myself a reasonable person, and had proper communication occurred during the process, this wouldn’t be much of an issue to me. However, the only real responses I have gotten along the process were to collect the remaining fees while basically receiving hostage threats for my goods. I was told none of my stuff would be delivered until I paid the rest of the amount due. I did that in good faith. Once all money was paid, responses have been even more difficult to get. I am happy to discuss this in more detail with anyone interested and look forward to the resolution of our business together.
Sadly you have already lost a future customer and recommendation for future business. I expect some money refunded for the “partial packing” that was done, and that is only because by definition you did only partially pack our goods. I also expect compensation for the damaged items. I expect compensation for ~6 days for delayed arrival of my car. As far as the actual claims go, values below are estimated costs to repair or replace with similar quality items. I saw in claims instructions not to have items repaired or thrown away, however, it took a very long time to get responses from the Phoenix group as noted above. I had the bike repaired and have cost receipt (frame was not addressed).
The mirror, kids’ bookcase, and bike, computer were thrown away once found to be broken (case and mirror collapsed and were dangerous to have around children). Dropping the Jeep off is an estimate on fair compensation if a tow truck had to be hired. Partial packing was according to initial proposal sent by Jeff. Delayed Jeep drop off was based on a reasonable rate for car rental for less quality vehicle for days delayed.
Claims: I was offered a total of $117 at their 60 cents a pound rate. They didn't address any of the other issues including being overcharged for full packaging, losing my vehicle, and not picking up my vehicle. In order to get the claim, I had to sign an agreement that stated I could not write a negative review. You can see the choice I made.

In June I contacted AMS about moving my house out of Colorado to Arkansas. I was given a price with a $1000.00 down the same day. I was told my goods would be loaded into 1 truck and the same truck would take them to my new home. 2 days before my move date, AMS called me and told me that I would have to pay another $500.00 because of a scheduling problem. Through no fault of my own, I had to pay, 2 days before. I was then told my goods were being transferred to another truck for shipment. In order to have them shipped on the same truck, I would have to pay another $10,000.00. AMS said there was a misunderstanding, you think! 9 people showed up and loaded the truck and did a super job.
A truck 3/4 the size of the original truck showed up in Arkansas and was packed full. It looked like things were just thrown in there. Things missing, broken flat screen television and many more things destroyed. The lawnmower was up top of the pile and leaked oil and gas on 4 mattress and a bunch of other things, the lawnmower was in pieces. After complaining, I had to fill out forms, sign and notarize, saying that I was not lying. Something I should have done to AMS when signing the contract. The movers who unloaded the truck had nothing good to say about AMS. Be forewarned.

If I could stop everyone from using this company I would. I hired this seemingly reliable company for a recent local move. Everything seemed to be going well until I noticed all of the damages that occurred while the movers were placing my furniture into the final location. My brand new bedroom set purchased in January of this year from Macy's looked as though they dropped the headboard and footboard causing major noticeable damage while my chest, dresser and one nightstand were left with scratches, gouges and dings. My bed frame even has a piece of wood totally broken off of the corner with nails exposed. I alerted the movers of these damages and the driver took photos of the damages and said I will have to file a claim to get them fixed. I sent in the claim form outlining the $2,500 worth of furniture that looks like it was carelessly thrown around and was sent back a letter offering me $84 for everything.
I called customer service and was told that the damages looked pre-existing. I cannot even begin to describe how upset and downright infuriated I am with this company. To have their employees so carelessly handle my belongings and then blame ME for the damage to my own furniture is ABSURD. I demanded my claims be moved up the line to be reviewed by their "board" and I expect a more appropriate resolution for the trouble they've caused me.

I was quoted $1700-$1800, and assured it would not be more than $2000, to move a 1500 square foot household 60 miles. After a $250 deposit, my final bill was over $2600. This included overtime to try to load a too-full truck, and fix items that they broke. No one came to preview the move, although I was told they would. Not all of my furniture would fit on the truck, and when I called to get an additional truck sent, I was told "sorry", with no other idea of how to fix the problem. (I had to have friends and relatives help me move the rest.)
When unloading, I found that the bulkhead had someone else's furniture in it --- mine would have all fit! I have several broken items and damaged items beyond repair. This includes an alder wood headboard, from a company no longer in business (so cannot be replaced); a washing machine that is brand new, now has scratches on the side and top is dented; and an antique upholstered chair has damage to the wood. There was also a filing cabinet and bookcase that were destroyed. Two out of three bedrooms of furniture were left unassembled, because the hardware was lost in the move. My recommendation is: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

As I read another complaint before writing, I notice that the review from Snellville, Georgia had the same sad, scam artist experience. I am working on contacting the corporate office to get over $1,000 refund. I was told they would move me in four hours to my apartment. Told them I had a 4500 sq ft plus house; told them I was moving to a 1300 apartment; they wrapped and move two rooms, sofa set, kitchen table and chairs, boxes and we made a 20 min stop to drop off 4 items at my storage. Again they said all of this would take no more than four hours.
They brought 4 guys to my home and these guys struggled with, damaged my furniture, damaged my walls, damaged my steps going upstairs. They left my house about 6 hours later then took four hours to set up a 2 bedroom apartment. According to their feedback, they calculated a 4 hour job which calculates out to no more $800 - $1,000. When they arrived at my apartment they then gave me the bill. They would not unload my furniture without full payment. This company said my bill was over $2200. I almost fainted! I will work at contacting them to get back at least $1100 of my money. If I don't get my money, we will go to the next step to handle this issue.
If the company would have told me that it would cost me that much money, I would have moved my own furniture. They were not upfront. When I called to complain about, the manager became rude because I was not happy. Are you serious. You charge me over $1,000 plus dollars over. This is not right and it needs to stop... Again, I will give them a couple of weeks to correct this, if not I will act.

I was given some kind of excuse that they put the pictures between cardboard and it was probably missed. They did not wrap any of the pictures. When unloading the items in the new place, they scratched and marked up the walls and woodwork. Took over an hour to move less than 15 miles and was charged for travel time. We were given a time window of 11am-1pm. 1pm I called to find out where they were and why I hadn't received a phone call. The manager Jim apologized and said the movers got to their first client and found out they had to pack a whole house full of stuff which originally wasn't part of their move. He said they would be there as soon as possible.
4 phone calls later and at 6:30 pm the movers finally show up. The movers themselves told us that our move somehow didn't get put on their schedule and they double booked, which pushed our move to the end of the list. We were beyond angry and annoyed but were happy to finally have them there to complete the move. They didn't finish up until about 9:30 but we were just relieved to have everything finished. Then later in the evening we realized that they didn't assemble some of the dresser mirrors and they misplaced the hardware so we had to go to Lowe's to buy the parts to fix the issue ourselves. They promised us that they will be able to move everything and that we should trust them because they’ve been in the business for so many years.
Also, during the consultation, my husband asked if our dog would be an issue during the day of the move and was told that it’s not a problem at all. NEVER AGAIN!!! We moved from 1 bedroom in my in-laws house, plus one 10×10 storage unit to a new apartment about 25 minutes away. We were quoted $600-800, at $144 an hour. I was ok with that price. I was told that we were scheduled between 8-9 am and I would get a call 30 minutes prior from the driver. Morning of the move, I never got a call, I called the office at 9 am and was told "oh I'm glad you called, the truck broke down but don't worry. We will get you moved today." I asked for a time frame but was told to call back in 30 minutes and he MIGHT know something. Now, I understand that things happen, but as a customer I expect a phone call from the company I hired, instead of my having to call! Basic customer service!
Then the driver called me not even 15 minutes later stating they were on their way and apologized for the delay, they had to finish unloading the remaining items from a move the day before at UNF! Our movers were excellent. Kyle and the other 2 guys were great! Very professional. My complaint is 100% with the office staff. Once they got to our new apartment, Kyle needed the payment via credit card in order to unload. Which I thought was ridiculous since I am paying by the HOUR, and they hadn't even started to unload anything. The cost... $2053.56! That is a HUGE DIFFERENCE from $600-$800 I was quoted! I have NEVER been so livid, they basically hold your belongings hostage until you pay. I was charged $1,476.00 for labor.
I was charged $304.56 fuel surcharge and $216.00 for travel time. For approximately $57.00 miles! That is over $9 a mile! $57 for packing material - Shrink wrap - $30.00. I have NO IDEA what was shrink wrapped as I haven't found any unpacking. 6 rolls of tape at $4.50 per roll. I think they used 1 as 98% of our belongings were in closed plastic containers that did not need tape. I will be filing a formal complaint with the company as well as with the Better Business Bureau. Seriously, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I have used professional movers previously, one of the moves out of state and it was less than I paid to move across town! Should be four hours even though when they arrived we had sold one bedroom and half living room it still ended up costing almost $1500. Now everything was supposed to be shrink wrapped and stored until new place was ready. When arrive at new place boxes were crushed. Bedroom Bureau was damaged. Sofa was torn. When we mentioned it they said just put in a claim. We did complete with pictures. It’s been 3 weeks still have not notified us. And the second part of bill was another $1600. So it cost three times what we thought. Our furniture is wrecked and they will not call us. Please stay away from this company. It’s the worst.

Worst moving company ever. Run far far away. They need to change their name to “All your money.” Seriously. First off they have you put $100 dollar deposit to hold your date. No moving company I’ve ever used before had me do that. They gave my husband and I a verbal quote over the phone. Quoted $129 per hour to move a 2 bedroom house. Said it would take about 2 hours. They did mention a fuel charge as well. They asked if we needed packing, we said NO. My husband and I literally moved everything ourselves to our new house, except the furniture and larger items. No appliances. We mentioned all of this twice to them, when we booked with them, and the day before the move when they called to confirm.
When the movers showed up the next day, they just started wrapping our furniture up. Again, They didn’t ask us if we wanted this stuff wrapped nor the cost for the wrapping. We thought they were just being careful. I mean we told them twice no we didn’t need packing. Anyways they just started packing and wrapping. About 30 min after they started they then pulled out the paperwork. Another RED FLAG. They were also slow. My husband and I was actually helping them move stuff. Anyways 3 hours later from start time, we arrive at our new house. 7 miles away. Literally after they pull up they said they wanted us to go ahead and pay. Ok so this has Been 3 hours. We are expecting $400-500. WRONG. They showed us a bill for $897 plus our $100 deposit so actually $997 for 3 hours and a 7 mile drive. My husband refused to pay that RIDICULOUS AMOUNT OF MONEY.
The bill had $189 of packing material we told them no. A $100 fuel charge. My husband called their management Paul. Anyways he was no help. My husband said he would compromise at $600 which was being generous on our part for real. Paul said if he didn’t pay their policy was to not take our stuff off the truck till we paid. As this conversation was taking place I watched the movers load the ramp and shut the doors with OUR BELONGINGS STILL IN THE TRUCK. My husband asked to speak to their supervisor and Paul hung up on him.
My husband called back and we spoke to Ryan the general manager. He took off the packing fee and half the fuel charge which brought the grand total down to $759. Absolutely ridiculous. This company uses the scam Tactic BAIT AND SWITCH, HOSTAGE, and EXTORTIONS their customers. They tried to hold our stuff hostage till we paid. SCAMMERS. Don’t give this company a dime. We have already sent a complaint to the BBB, a letter to Channel 9 news, and we are exploring other ways he prevent this from happening to anyone else. BEWARE.

I wouldn’t let this company move my worst enemy! They were horrible. When they finally got to our new home (they got lost) the driver got out of the truck and threw a huge fit. He assumed my husband gave their headquarters the wrong address but in fact it was their own headquarters that did that. He started throwing things (his step-ladder and cooler) out of the truck when he realized a bunch of our things were broken.
When my husband started talking to him about it the one in charge (driver) got all pissed and called their headquarters. My husband was trying to calm the guy down. The guy told headquarters that my husband threatened him. I was standing right there and nothing was further from the truth. My husband was trying to calm the guy down. It was a nightmare. Items broken or scratched /dinged were numerous. Our 58” TV’s stand was broken along with the TV all beat up, the headboard, sides of bed were scratched all over ($4,000 bedroom set) my husband's grandmother's headboard and footboard are missing (assuming they broke that and didn’t want to tell us), end dug up, my grandmother's dresser dug up, tall lamp broke in half plus many more items dug up.

The service offered by this company (especially Ryan **, out of the Clackamas, Oregon office) is absolutely horrible. It all began with me submitting a quote request from their website and indicating that I would need to be contacted via email or text, yet the calls started immediately. I indicated several times that I could only communicate via email or text, as I was at work, yet the calls continued. I was hounded to give them the info to create a quote and then waited two days and heard nothing after providing the information and ended up having to send a fairly blunt email to get their attention.
Ryan then groveled to get try to keep my business and made many excuses about why he didn't get back to me. I decided to give him a second chance and continued to communicate back and forth with him until today when I got the following email from him. This was a very flippant response (without any explanation of the 16 hour estimate) to a very valid question. He claims it was not meant to be that way, but it would never take 16 hours to move a 2 bedroom apartment to a 2 bedroom house, even with 2 storage units and travel time for 45 miles. Based on this very poor customer service, I would not use this company nor recommend them to anyone.

*SPOILER ALERT: they flaked on me twice and didn’t give a crap about me as a customer. This was my first time using this company. NEVER AGAIN. I’ve moved many times in my life and never was the experience so horrible and below standards than when I mistakenly hired All My Sons. First and foremost, my move was scheduled for a Friday as “second move” of the day, with movers to arrive between 1-5 pm. Movers did not show up to my door until Sunday at 4:50 pm. I have never had movers flake on me until I booked All My Sons.
On Friday I was told the first move of the day was taking longer than expected since the inventory didn’t match up with what had been disclosed to the company. I spoke with a man named Caleb in the Richmond Operations Department and throughout multiple calls of the day delaying my move even further, he eventually let me know he had no time estimate for the movers to arrive Friday night and that the next available time to move me was Sunday if I didn’t want the movers to come so late and obviously exhausted from their first move. Caleb told me that he had to push back customers scheduled on Sunday to Monday in order to accommodate me, but you couldn’t push back your Saturday customers to fit me in first since I was scheduled first? Why did I need to wait longer when I was in line first? Where is the customer care in that if you make me wait longer than necessary?
I needed to be out of the place we were moving from Friday night. I could not wait until Sunday. But other moving companies were very fully booked and we had no choice but to delay the move until Sunday. Caleb told me that we would be the very first move on Sunday with movers coming between “9-10 am”. Come Sunday morning and I never received a call from the movers for the 30 minutes or so heads up to expect them. Around 10 am I called the customer service line only to discover I couldn’t talk to anyone until 11 am when the phone lines opened!
When I finally got on the line, I was transferred to Jermaine ** in the Operations Department since Caleb apparently wasn’t in the office today. And what does he tell me? That I’m not on the schedule for Sunday. He told me he was aware of my situation but he knew nothing about me being the first move of the day and he could not guarantee that movers would get to me at all on Sunday.
Jermaine was very unsympathetic, very apathetic, and totally unconcerned with my situation at hand. He made no attempts to rectify anything, made no apologies, and simply had an attitude of it-is-what-it-is-and-I-can’t-do-anything-about-it. All he tried to do was keep pushing my move back to Monday or Tuesday but I had repeatedly told them I could not be delayed any further and I needed movers now. I was appalled at his complete lack of caring and his lack of gestures to make anything right. All he could tell me was “call back later for a better update.”
So I called about 2-3 times. Once around 12:30 pm when NO ONE answered and a lady in the Dallas call center picked up and said she’d send an email immediately to her supervisor and Jermaine’s supervisor. No one got in touch with me from that. I called again around 3 pm and got another “call back later” answer from Jermaine. I might have called one last time around 4-4:30. Throughout Sunday I had no choice but to sit around, frantically try to find back up movers to no avail at such last minute timing, and felt total despair that All My Sons would once again fail me. Finally, at 4:50 pm on Sunday the movers did show up and completed the move, 2 days after the fact.
I have never in my life experienced such poor customer service. I understand summers are busy moving days, but if I’m scheduled for a certain day, I need to move that day. The total lack of compassion and gestures to rectify the situation were appalling. I had to put up with being pushed off and off with no guarantees I would even be moved. No one could even tell me sorry. No one offered me any sort of incentive to stay with this company - I stayed simply because I had no other choice. I can’t believe I had to pay full price for the amazingly dismal service and disrespect of my time and my need to move. The movers also overcharged me for the amount of time it took them to complete my move. Half a star is for the fact they eventually refunded me the overage.
Also, one of the movers reeked of weed smoke. I believe I was told when booking with All My Sons that movers were drug screened. Like, your personal habits are your personal habits but you should not get to ** off and get high when you’re supposed to be moving my stuff and focused on a job. The crew scratched up my walls and floors and I’ve had no reconciliation from the damage claim I submitted over two weeks ago. On top of that, the lead mover kept hounding us about tipping his crew. I’ve never had a moving company so in your face about tipping them. You weren’t even stellar. It’s hard to believe All My Sons considers themselves customer-focused with the way I was treated and pushed aside with no apologies or any gestures of compassion in this difficult time. Moving is one of the 3 most stressful things in a person’s life and All My Sons doesn’t care about you at all. Stay away from them.

All My Sons is the absolute worst company to use. Internet viewers - if you are moving absolutely do not use this company. I did my research and weighed the pros and cons and I was horribly wrong in choosing them. They stall and milk the clock and I had one of the managers call me a liar when I was promised the moving company would be at my house between 8 and 8:30 when they showed up at 10:00 am. They promised me 3 men and only 2 men came out. The workers were very very slow and when I called the company saying the workers were moving very slowly next thing I knew they removed all of my furniture in a short time after the call (showing they were milking me on the clock) and then physically left with all of my furniture and never told me they were leaving.
I saw them through the window leaving with my furniture without anyone telling me they were leaving. They are rude, inconsiderate and milking the clock to their benefit and oh, by the way, they do not take cable which I found out was in the small print of the email confirmation they sent. Something that important they should tell you upfront or post it on their website which they did not show. DO NOT USE THEM!! Still recovering from the living nightmare I experienced with them two days ago.

I was told I would be charged $139 an hour. No gas charge and charged one hour for driving time. I was told it would take 3 hours total. It took 6 hours, I was charged a surcharge for gas at 12% of the final cost. They broke several items including my 42 inch TV. I moved from a very small apartment with 820 sqft and two bedrooms and one bath. It cost me just over 1200 dollars and the cost of replacing broken/damaged items. Absolutely would not recommend!!! Use any other moving company. This company should not get business!!!! Don't give them a dime. Horrible experience and more than double the price I was quoted.

I was at my friends who hired this company for her move. She was quoted around 400. She was told it would take two hours. They send two guys to do the job. Apparently the driver doesn't do anything but drive and Text and stand around and guard the truck I guess. The other young man TC was awesome professional and did a great Job. My friend had to have her sons help because of the lack of help. All her boxes were small and labeled. Her two sons and his girlfriend helped because it was moving so slow. Travis had to smoke and text and only came inside when he absolutely had to. It took from 9 am till 1:50 with everyone's help.
Travis the driver slammed her furniture coming in the building and when coming in the apartment. He complained and would leave and get on his phone. He informed us that the company would leave with her stuff if she didn't pay the almost 900 dollar bill. After much deliberation on the phone with a curt manager, they finally gave her 165.00 off and acted like it was a big deal. He accused my friend's husband of being rude. We videotaped the whole conversation. Being a professional himself he ask questions and was treated like he was hostile. So why would you pay twice as much for half as much help. Everything was sorted packed marked, in small easy to manage boxes. Beware of this company. I gave two stars because of TC very polite and professional young man. The driver was not professional courteous or a worker. Very sad.

All My Sons Moving and Storage sent a crew to move my household goods to storage on June 3 & 4, 2018. The original bid was to move my things into storage, then move them to my new home at a later date. The bid ticked all my boxes, but that's where the service stopped. When I opened my door to the crew of 5 on June 3, it looked like they were day labor picked up on the streets. Two of them wore AMS t-shirts, the other 3 did not. The crew "leader" told me he was actually at the same level as the rest of the crew, so there was no one supervising the other guys. They showed up without markers to mark the rooms on the boxes. I provided Sharpies to them.
The bid called for dish packs. David started to wrap and pack my china in a regular box, and said they didn't have any dish packs. After I told him he was not to pack china and dishes in a regular box, he called his manager, Jimmy. He held out the phone for me to talk to Jimmy. Jimmy told me they didn't HAAAAAVE any dish packs, and I told him this wasn't going to go well and hung up. Jimmy called the packer, who said to the other crew "Jimmy said to pack her up." A short time later, Jimmy was on the phone again, saying they would have dish packs the next day and they could pack the items then.
The guys left after 3 hours. They had taken the majority of the furniture to the storage unit, and some of the boxes that I had packed myself prior to the move date. That night, I was reflecting on the day and came to this website and saw the horrible reviews and panicked. Between what happened that day and the reviews, I thought it was best to find another company to move my goods to my new home, since so many of the reviews were about not putting furniture together and having it break. I let Jonathan **, the person who bid the job, know my intent.
The next day, the same crew came. They hung out together by the truck, would be sitting down in unoccupied rooms not doing anything. The dish packs did come that day. They still had no markers. Things went downhill fast. Guys would come to me, bringing individual items, asking "Does this go?" I explained every time that EVERYTHING went except for those things they were not permitted to take, like hazardous materials. Guys would take out one item at a time to the truck (one lamp, an armful of board games, a small side table, for example). They are paid by the hour. I could sense the clock ticking and charges continuing to go up.
10 hours later, we all went to the storage unit. There were items they didn't bother to pack and were just put into storage piece by piece, didn't protect (including art work and electronics), most of the boxes are not marked. There is a lot that will have to be repacked before it is loaded onto the moving truck. It is going to be a nightmare. Someone stole a house plant from my kitchen. Who knows what else they stole, if they would steal a house plant. They also left several items behind that should have been packed and in storage. I have photos.
When the "leader" came to me to sign the bill of lading, he told me where to initial on a small tablet. After I was done initialing, he came to the page for me to sign, agreeing to pay the charges. I was surprised to see the charges were just about where the bid was. After I signed, he motioned to the other guys that it was okay to unload the truck into the storage unit. Then he scrolled to the next page and I saw the charges on this page were $2,000 more than they should have been, according to the bid. The labor was much higher (one piece at a time loading can do that), and they charged for the materials on the bid, but not the materials they actually used. The bill of lading was just the amount of boxes from the bid, there was nothing to show what was packed and stored.
After the truck was unloaded into the storage unit, the leader, David came up to me (I am pretty sure I was crying, which I did for the next 3 days). I told him, "This was awful," and he replied, "I know." I was pretty hysterical by this time. I contacted Jonathan ** again, who told (texted) me someone named Edward would be in touch with me the next day. Edward didn't call, I called him. He told me he was aware of my concerns, would look into it and call me back. He never called me back, I had to call him back. He told me the crew knew that I was not going to use them to move into my new home. He said he told them so they would "do the best job and earn your business back" or something like that. It had the opposite effect.
I waited 2 weeks and never heard anything. I began emailing Edward. I asked for an invoice so I can be reimbursed by my new employer. The bill of lading only has how many boxes/materials were used. After I didn't hear back from Edward, I emailed him to ask if he could provide an invoice or if I needed to contact the corporate office, and he replied that he would get one to me. That was over a month ago, and I still don't have an invoice. I did talk to Jimmy one day when Edward was not in. I explained to Jimmy that this experience and the associated stress and worry had negatively impacted my life. He was extremely condescending - and not helpful at all. He did ask what it would take to resolve this issue, and I told him I didn't know. I still don't know what kind of costs I'm going to incur having to pack things up in the storage unit, and I don't know what damage has been done to my things.
I called to talk with Edward about the invoice. He said he would have to create one, and it would take some time. I asked him if it could be done within a week, and he sighed and said, "I'll try." I emailed again, stating my issues which needed to be resolved. Edward emailed back, saying Jimmy told me he was not going to adjust my charges (he did not ever say that), that there were no damages, that the moving crew had markers, and to call the police and make a report about the stolen houseplant, as they cooperate with police. I emailed Edward again, asking for the invoice. I finally emailed him to tell him I would give him until 25 June to send me the invoice. He has still not sent it to me (today is 30 July), almost 2 months since the move. I am hoping that by submitting this review, people will not go through the same thing I have been through. Truly, one of the worst experiences of my life, and it is still not resolved.

I am a 64 year old grandmother of 6 and I had gotten a price on moving and I told the salesperson that 1 truck would not be enough and they would need 2. On moving day they discovered that I was right. They had unloaded and went back to pick up another load. When they came back with second truck full, they refused to unload my truck and demanded $400 MORE DOLLARS. They were essentially holding my furniture hostage. There was a standoff and they demanded I give them my credit card again and I refused. I was losing my mind, as it was about to rain and then I agreed to pay them 200 more dollars more so my furniture was not ruined in the rain. At that point they were upset and were very rough with my furniture, and they were not putting things in the appropriate rooms.
My dinette table and chairs were not put in the correct place, so I took for granted that they put it in the garage and it ended up under many boxes. After unpacking my boxes I was very upset to see that the only part of my dinette there, was my glass top, and the chairs and the base of the table were missing!!! I didn't contact the company, because I thought this company probably couldn't care less, would not compensate me, and it was too much aggravation for me. I would never send this company to anybody! I believe they are criminals. Ironically, I told the salesman, that my furniture was held hostage before, by another company, and how upset I was. He told me that would never happen with his company.

All My Sons Moving Murfreesboro - Hired this company in May for a June move going from a small 2 bedroom apartment to a slightly larger one in the same apartment complex. Was quoted $450. Was told someone would call a couple of days before the move to set up time and reverify details. Made deposit of $100 and did receive call a couple of days before the move to schedule the time and did so for 11am. Day of move got a call from the moving crew about 8:30am asking if we were ready. As we hadnt got the new apartment key, we were not, advised them of that. About 11:30 and no show. Called their office and person there says there isnt really any scheduling just first ready.
So about 2:30. Crew finally shows up and says they can't move us as is, and they would need to unpack and repack everything to their standards, then move which will take 9-12 hours and cost a couple of thousand dollar. There was never any mention of this previously, but ok, whatever. They leave and we set time for first thing the next morning. Then we spend a couple hours repacking to make sure there was no open boxes 'cause a box of Tupperware has to be completely sealed to be carried from one apartment to another. Later that day I got sick and ended in hospital so wasnt there next day. Next morning there was no show from them and no call.
My roommates rented a U-Haul and had everything moved 3 hours later. Once I was out of hospital and feeling better, I called the company up and asked to have deposit refunded. Person at office says since they showed up the first they would be keeping the deposit. So I would under no circumstances recommend this company. You can't rely on them being on time or even showing up. They will try to add on a crazy amount of rework and extra time that requires. Then they will keep a deposit after refusing to do the job, because they drove from one interstate exit to another.

I initially met with their estimator, Michael **. He told me we had more items that could be moved in 1 day, so he suggested moving us June 21-22. We had the majority of our items sitting in the garage. He confirmed there would be no problem taking anything at all. On Thursday, June 21st, nobody had shown up as of 2:30pm. I called the office and spoke with Ashley. She informed me nobody would be coming, and that the entire move would be done Friday, June 22nd. This was completely opposite of what Michael had told us, but she assured us it would get done. On Friday, June 22nd, the movers showed up around 11:30. They managed to move several boxes and our beds, but didn't touch a single piece of furniture over a 7 hour period. We asked the movers when someone would be coming back. They assured us someone was coming the following day, Saturday, June 23rd.
Since nothing had gone as planned up to this point, I called the Columbus office to confirm. I was told on 3 different occasions that someone would call me right back, but nobody did. Finally, at 6pm, I was able to speak with Michael **. He told me nobody was available Saturday, but that I would be the "priority" move Sunday, June 24th. On Sunday morning I received no call or update of any kind. I started calling every number I had, but the only place that would answer was the main number at corporate. They told me management was going to call the Columbus office to make sure someone called within an hour. After no calls an hour later, I called back. They seemed shocked that nobody had called, and told me they would follow up again. A half hour later, I finally received a text that said I would be hearing from a driver shortly. Nobody called.
Finally a truck showed up. I informed the driver, Andrew, that his company had failed to deliver on any promises up to this point. Fortunately, Andrew and his team did an amazing job. They managed to get 80% of the remaining items, including most the furniture. I tipped all 3 crew members $100. The following day I spoke with Bobbie **, management at corporate, about all of the problems I was having with the Columbus office. She assured me she would take care of the issues and make everything right. She even gave me her cell #, **, and Michael ** cell #, **. A 3rd move day was set up to get the remaining items on June 27th. I specifically requested Andrew again, given the fantastic job he had done prior. Bobbie once again assured me she would make sure this was able to happen.
On Wednesday, June 27th, nobody showed up once again. When I called the Columbus office, they told me I wasn't even on the schedule. I immediately hung up and called Bobbie. She seemed shocked that this happened, and called the Columbus office on my behalf. When she called back, she told me Andrew was in school, and was unavailable. Instead of letting me know, the Columbus office decided to completely remove me from the schedule. She let me know Andrew was available the weekend of June 30th - July 1st, and asked me to pick a day. I chose Saturday, June 30th. She said I would receive a call between 7:30 - 8:00 from the driver, and that my move would begin between 8:00 - 9:30.
On Saturday, June 30th, once again nobody shows up, and I receive no calls or updates of any kind. I called the Columbus office and spoke with Ashley. She informed me I was not even on the schedule. I immediately hang up and call Bobbie, who seems shocked again that this is happening. She calls the Columbus office, who tells her that Andrew was injured on the job 2 days earlier. Apparently he decided to skip school to work. All My Sons has been a complete failure. Not once have they apologized, or offered to do anything to make this right. I HAVE BEEN LIED TO BY MICHAEL **, MICHAEL **, ASHLEY, BRAD ** AND BOBBIE **. Don't make the same mistake I did - choose another company.

We were scheduled to move with All My Sons shortly after returning from our honeymoon. They called us the night before to confirm that we would be getting three movers and a truck at 11 am. The next morning, they called us at 10:30 am (half an hour before our move!) to inform us that they would not be moving us since a few of their truck drivers didn't show up.
No real apology, nothing to make up for their error - All My Sons just left us out to dry on the day of our move and the day that we need to be out of our apartment. All they did was refund our deposit (as they should have, since they provided zero actual services), and refused to do anything else to make up for the fact that they cancelled on us at the last minute. Wow. I don't even know where to begin... and really feel that I was played the fool! First, Peter ** - Estimator - Moving Specialist & Advisor (RIP OFF ARTIST) came to my house and LIED to us! Made a point of telling us he was a "partial owner." ~ Probably a "Partial LIE." Made a point of telling us that All My Sons does NOT charge travel time from the shop to the moving location and that this was something that set them apart from the competition. (LIE ~ I called him once the movers advised me of the $189.00 "Travel Time Charge" ~ He said "sorry, you must have misunderstood." I asked him if he remembered sitting on my sofa and making this claim. He didn't deny it, but tried to hedge around the bald faced lie.)
We were quoted a price with 4 movers. 3 showed up. BUT, the cost that was quoted was collected... even though I was down one full mover. ANOTHER LIE OF PETER **! Peter specifically told us we did not need to empty storage furniture (drawers, etc.) as his guys were adept in handling the weight. BUT... Driver (and apparent crew leaders) Jordan showed up with the crew at the appointed move time. However, he spent 15 minutes walking around complaining about the size and weight of the furniture. He asked if the storage items were empty. I advised that Pete had told us it was unnecessary. He responded, "of course he did!" EACH AND EVERY TIME, I asked Jordan a question, he rolled his eyes at me like I was inconveniencing him.
Both at the old location and the new location, CARE WAS NOT DEMONSTRATED. The movers scratched doors, walls and corners. The movers BROKE furniture. One time being tossed off the back of the truck (according to eye witness "new neighbors" who wanted us know how they had handled our stuff.). Truck loaded by the agreed halfway point of the move. Confirmed the address of the new location (SERIOUSLY 4 MILES AWAY) and advised the movers I'd meet them there (wife was already at the new place to let them in). I stopped for a coffee on the way. Saw the truck pass me. Then headed over to the new place. AND THEN I WAITED! Assuming I'd be arriving behind them, I was surprised to find the truck not at the new location.
I waited 15 minutes then called the All My Sons dispatch office. Waited another 15 minutes. Then the truck showed up. Asked if they got lost. They responded that they went to the wrong address (SERIOUSLY, we took the time to confirm the address. I assume the truck has GPS. Each of the three movers likely had GPS on his phone AND IT TOOK YOU 30 minutes to go 4 miles?) BTW - they charged me an additional $152.15 in Fuel Charges (seems a bit high for a 4 mile move - even when you consider the travel distance that required a standard charge of $189 already mentioned). (So yeah, with the Fuel Charge and the Travel Time Charge, I was fleeced almost $350 for them to literally DO NOTHING).
Before the movers began to unload the truck, they asked for final payment (NEVER HAVE I EVER HAD A MOVING COMPANY ASK FOR FINAL PAYMENT PRIOR TO THE MOVE COMPLETION) - when asked how they knew how many hours to charge, I was advised they'd give a credit or charge additionally for any mis-guess in hours to unload. Not sure this is all that went wrong, but VERY LITTLE WENT RIGHT WITH ALL MY SONS-of-a-**! I received a survey from GM, Shaun ** - Surveyed as deserved - Got a canned response of "sorry for your experience."
I waited a few days to calm down over the poor experience and called Peter ** again. Went over all of the points from above. He hemmed and hawed and said that he'd get back with me that afternoon for resolution after he spoke with "the office." NEVER HEARD BACK from anybody. Shame on me for not reading the MANY negative reviews. Shame on ALL MY SONS for taking advantage of people and for hiring LYING, UNPROFESSIONAL, Conmen who prey on the emotions of fools like me. NEVER HIRE THIS COMPANY! I gave them the opportunity to make this right.

We contracted with All My Sons Moving in May 2018 for a mid-June move. 'Richard' was the sales rep. We toured the home and detached buildings and he said one truck should do it. Well they showed-up 19 June around 9 AM and moving process began. Around noon truck was halfway full and 'Andreus' (crew chief) remarked that, "We may need to make two trips." I replied, "Well let's see where we are in a couple of hours". At approx. 2 PM I was told again that 2nd trip may be required and again I said "Let's wait and see". At approx. 4 PM it was for sure truck was not big enough by approx. 1/4 and we still had many pieces of furniture and other goods upstairs.
I determined I would not pay for 2nd trip and immediately drove to Whitewright (five miles away) and picked-up a 10X6 U-Haul trailer. Upon arrival my wife had said she had talked to 'Richard' and he said his crew was still on the clock and would bring all the furniture down from upstairs. No problem, right? As the crew was doing this, my wife and I started to move left-over HHG to trailer and we (wife and I) would load everything. During this process, 'Andreus' approached me and stated crew would load the trailer if I would pay them separately. We agreed on $150.00 and my wife went to ATM and withdrew $160.00 and gave whole amount to Andreus making payment of $40 to each member of crew.
At approximately 5:15 we all left to make our way to Princeton about 30 minutes away. When I arrived both moving truck and wife were present but there was no activity. Andreus approached me and stated, "We cannot start unloading truck until we get payment for outstanding balance." I said "no problem" since I knew we owed $1000 more. I took out my card and asked him "how much" and replied "$2,016.00". I said, "No, it should be $1,000". He tried to call 'Boss' and when he got 'Jim' on the line I spoke with Jim. He said, "Bubba, my crew was having to assist you with loading U-Haul trailer and we have to pay them (or words to that effect)".
I verbally hoisted the BS flag and told Jim, "I paid these guys separately $160 to assist me and his reply, in so many words, were, "if you want truck unloaded you have to pay". I wanted to speak to our sales rep Richard but was told he was, "On the road with a 'load' to (somewhere) and would not be available for several hours.” (My wife called Richard several times and left voice mail and as of today, 22 June have not heard a word). I acquiesced, paid the SOB and work resumed. After trailer was unloaded I left premises for trip back to home in Tom Bean for 2nd load and returned to Princeton around 8:30 PM. Unloaded HHG and made 3rd and subsequently round-trip to Tom Bean, returning to Princeton 11:30 PM.
In summary, All My Sons’ business model is based on deception, dishonesty, manipulation, and extortion. Richard knew he was under-estimating home inventory knowing full-well two trips and added charges would be required. Even the crew commented, "This happens all the time" and "...we do not agree with how things are done" and "Richard is the worst Estimator". By the way, I will add, there is no way Richard was driving a load anywhere. He is Sales and not a worker. This company takes full advantage of families knowing full-well they will pay due to already burdensome high stress levels usually accompanying a move such as the one we just had.
This company should be avoided at all costs. To contract with All My Sons is like signing a contract with the Mob or even worse, Satan himself. All My Sons’ management should be extremely ashamed of themselves for their behavior. I am sure 'management' will say, "We are extremely sympathetic to your plight and we will look into this issue and get back with you soon" or maybe I will not hear a word from them. For this to be going on at the 'deck-plate and mid-management level' is a direct reflection on all of upper-management and ownership. I will cut & paste this review in and on every accessible website where reviews may be found.

My wife and I are in the process of selling our home and moving 65 miles away. A sales rep from AMSM came out to the house last week and looked at the contents (almost half of our belongings had already been moved to our new home) and gave my wife an estimated quote that seemed reasonable. He assured my wife that they had a truck that would be big enough to move everything. They came on time on June 18 and packed the truck. The only problem was that the truck wasn't big enough. We still had 25% of our belongings in our house after the moving truck was full. When my wife went to pay she was told that the price was 20% higher than what was quoted and they didn't even move all of our belongings! I got on the phone and called the sales rep. He gave me line of BS and told me to call the office. I called the office and they told me to call the sales rep.
Three times the office mgr said he would call me right back and he never did. I had to call him and he gave me a line of BS. He said he would try to have a truck pick up the rest of our stuff in a few days. It was a good thing we weren't closing until next week. I still hadn't heard from the office by the end of the day. I called the office first thing on June 19 and the manager told me "I haven't forgotten you". After numerous phone calls including one from the sales rep who said "I think we can get a truck out to your house today and it will cost you a couple of hundred dollars." I didn't think we should have to pay anything but I was desperate to have my house emptied so I agreed.
The truck arrived and my house was emptied and everything was delivered to our new home. The driver then gave me a bill for over $1000 that was approx a 50% increase over the original price quoted to my wife the week before. I called the office and told them I wasn't paying that amount. I also told them that I was filing a complaint with the BBB and the Attorney General's office in MA. I felt that we had been deliberately misled about the cost of the move and that their operation bordered on fraud and deception. I would NEVER do business with AMSM again. If you are considering hiring them I would strongly suggest you look elsewhere. It was a terrible experience.

I moved from Georgia to Ohio. I had previously used All My Sons to move from North Carolina to Georgia and it was great. I called them 60 days ahead of my planned move date. I paid in full once they came up with an amount. The move date was 5-24. I admit at the time I did not realize that would be Memorial Day Weekend. A week before the move date I called to verify everything and was told they may not be able to unload on 5-25 as planned but should be able to do it Saturday morning. I said that was fine. 2 days before the move I get a call from AMS informing me that they would be arriving to pick up in the early afternoon of the 24th and they also confirmed that they would be driving to Ohio on the 25th and unloading on the 26th.
At 2:30 pm on the 24th I had not heard from or seen anyone so I called to see what was going on. I was told they were on the way. At 4 pm still hadn't heard from anyone or seen anyone so I called again. I explained that I had to be out by 6 to be able to walk the unit with the manager. I was assured they were just around the corner. The crew arrived at 4:45 pm. I told them we had to get it done in an hour and I was amazed that they got it done. They asked me about delivering the next day and I told them I thought they were delivering Saturday. They got together to call their boss while I went to get the apt manager. On 5-25 I called to verify they were coming the next day and was told they would be there by noon.
At 1:30 pm they had not arrived or called. So I called them. I spoke to John and he told me I needed to understand that traffic was bad due to the Holiday. I pointed out they had told me the crew would be driving to Ohio on Friday not Saturday and I asked where they were. They had just gotten to Lexington Kentucky. I was told they would be there in 3 hours. At 5 pm no one had shown up or called, so I again called to find out what was going on. This time I spoke to Terrence and he informed me the crew was almost there. He also stated that there had been an issue with the truck on Friday and that was why they did not leave then. The crew finally arrived at 8 pm after it had stormed for over an hour (prior to that it had been sunny all day).
I asked them about the issue on Friday and they laughed, then told me they were given another job to do on Friday and it took longer than expected and that was they didn't leave as planned. They then proceeded to rush to get all of my things unloaded, tracked mud and water all over my carpet, broke a bookcase and a dresser (to be fair they were on their last legs already but all they said was it broke). They even brought me some items that weren't mine and when I pointed it out, they said, "What you don't want them?" They rushed me to sign and left. It wasn't until three days later when I went to take a TV out of a box and discovered it was broken. An obvious impact area with cracks running all over the upper corner of the 55 inch Samsung TV.
I called to report the issue and was given a bunch of forms to fill out and send back in. I told the same story I'm telling here and added that in my opinion the TV was most likely broken due to the crew rushing to load and unload the truck after arriving so late. The TV was 5 years old and I was not expecting to get the 500 I paid for the TV back but I was thinking 200 to 250. They offered me 60 dollars. I am now looking for an attorney to see what my options are. I would recommend using alternate sources for moving if you can, not so much because of the TV more about the lack of professionalism, lateness, the fact that they lied to me outright as well.

This was my first time working with All My Sons, and I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone. They are definitely a 0/5 stars company. I needed a standard-sized couch moved from the second-story of a home in Arlington to a third-story apartment in Grapevine. I was quoted $159. The movers arrived late, which is not a surprise, but really - for the first move of the day? I was given a start time between 8:00 a-9:00 a, and one of the movers called at 8:52 a saying they were on their way and were 15 minutes out.
Before signing any paperwork, two of the movers already had my couch down the stairs, but not after damaging one of the walls in my parents' home. No apology was given, just a swift, "Somebody talked to you about our liability, right?" To which I answered, "No." It must be nice to move other people's belongings knowing that you would not be responsible for any damages to homes or furniture.
At this point, I wasn't expecting my couch to fare well. 50 MINUTES later, they arrive at my apartment complex (there was no traffic on any routes to the apartment). I tried not to wince too hard as the same two movers moved my couch up the stairs. I had to pay for a third mover "so they could be insured", and the most the third mover did was place his hand on my couch for five seconds "helping" the other two up the stairs. My couch, of course, suffered minor damage as well - although no acknowledgment was given since the two movers rushed out of the apartment as soon as they could. Then, came the surprise of a lifetime.
The third mover told me that my total came to $543. I could not and still cannot believe all the fees and charges from this company. I could've bought a brand new couch and had that couch delivered for free! I will never have All My Sons near any of my property again, and I'm hoping this review can prevent people from making the mistake I made.

The household move was going very slow so they can make the move take longer. They never called me till they were at the storage and that is when they started their time, it took me another 10 minutes to get there. Then halfway through the move they stopped for 15 minutes. They call the move in and came back with them wanting to charge me over 2 hundred dollars more than I agreed on. Then they just started packing up and told me I will have to pay them to get my furniture. I talk to the dispatcher and she dropped the price 1 hundred dollars and told me she was doing me a favor, Thanks. The movers were not that greatest either. They almost dropped several items. I had to help several times.

I had a moving quote for $250.00 to move 2 king headboards and a TV stand for 0.25 mile distance. They promised to beat the rate. After delivery they told me it took them 3 hours to move 0.25 miles. And charged me $435.00. The worst company out there. I will fight the charges and will never recommend anyone to use this scammers.
