I have over 600 dollars worth of damages. I just bought a newly build house and I wanted professional movers. I called All My Sons Moving company. I moved from a 2 bedroom apartment to a 3 bedroom home which was about 8 minutes from each other. I paid 1044.10. They damaged my door, my walls, ceilings and wooden railing.

I put in a claims packet and only received 250.00 for over 600.00 worth of damage. A claims representative never spoke to me but sent a document asking me to sign and send it back or they will cancel the claim. In the middle of the print was a settlement for 250 dollars. I'm frustrated and overly tired from moving with toddlers, the last thing I want is to worry about is reading fine prints. They will not work with me because they said it's a closed case, I should have caught it sooner. Very deceitful and poor communication. Do not use this company unless you want pay for damages. They are counting on you being too busy to read the fine print.

Fort Worth, Tx. This is a complete rip-off if you chose their services. This is basically a company contracting any group of people to service and then hike the price during the process. In short 1. Deposit $100.00. 2. Movers were excellent and very professional arriving on time loading everything. 3. Before unloading items, the movers are asked that you sign and agree to the increased price. Which is more than your original quote. 4. Contacted All My Sons (Carlos office manager).. Rude and unprofessional.. States the person (Devin) whom quoted $553 was no longer with the company and had been fired 6 months ago and new payment would be $799.26. Really.? I scheduled the move JUNE 7th 2 days ago...

    5. And CARLOS CONTINUED TO SHARE ... SINCE I CONTACTED HIM, HE'S PLACING AN ADDITIONAL 30mins TOWARDS THE FEE!! 6. Now the movers (whom I believe are workers with good intentions) are stuck with having to share to bad news.. 7. Movers were instructed to drop off my items back at the original location if I did not pay NEWLY INFLATED PRICE OF $799.26. 8. Movers left with my items. This company doesn't deserve to be in business and their in charge are completely unprofessional. Good luck if you choose to use Carlos and ALL MY SONS.

I was trying to schedule a crew to come help unload our Uhaul into a storage unit. After speaking to a sales representative in the Denver office I became very unsatisfied with how I was being talked to, he said I wasn't listening but every time he explained it the end result was the same. He said he was not able to schedule a two-man crew on the day I wanted. He was very pushy trying to make me do a three-man crew. I basically said, that is what I needed and if he couldn't do that I would call a different company. He said I was being utterly ridiculous and would have to pay more if I called another company. We have used AMS for three moves this month and will need them again in the near future. Everything has been fantastic working with AMS but after the call I just had we will not be using them again.

I hired this company to move me out of my house on April 25 and into my new condo on April 27. They broke the frame and glass of a very expensive painting within 5 minutes of coming into my house. One of the movers was in my bathroom at least 3 times during the 2 hours they were at the house. They moved two matching coffee tables into the van but when they unloaded at the new condo half of one of the tables was missing. Obviously they broke it and removed the piece from the truck to hide what they had done. They left my new condo without unwrapping several pieces of furniture.

When I called to complain shortly after they left, the crew chief promised to return in a few hours to complete the work. He never returned and refused my repeated calls to his cell phone. I called the office to complain and was told to make out an insurance claim but the form was impossible to fill out due to demands of documentation I had already supplied. The crew chief also solicited a tip of $50 per men with a crew of 5 men. DO NOT hire this company. They were terrible, at least referring to the crew who moved me.

They were supposed to arrive at our house between 8 AM and 9 AM. They did not get there until 4:30 PM. The driver proceeds to tell me that he has driven all of his hours that day and would probably have to come back the next day. The new owners were moving in the next day. When I complained about this they threatened to leave and I had to beg them to stay. They left 2 large pieces of furniture. They did not have room on the truck because they had picked up a load before ours. Terrible experience!!! Beware!!!

Movers did not cover all of my furniture and appliances. They scarred up my dining room table. They tore up door handles on my refrigerator and dented my refrigerator. They laid my refrigerator on the floor, and it never got cold again. They tore up one of my bedframes. They left one bed and bedframe in the middle of my living room floor for two days before coming to disassemble it to move to an upstairs bedroom. They lost a control knob on my stove. They did not reattach mirrors to dressers. Replacement furniture/appliances due to damages total approximately $5,000.00.

Our possessions were moved through a two-day process by All My Sons Moving Co. The first day two trucks were loaded. At the end of Day One, the Movers took the trucks to their warehouse and parked them. On Day Two the Movers drove the two trucks from the warehouse to our final destination, our home in the southern part of the same state. When the two trucks reached our new home, the 'head guy' with the paperwork had me sign more papers that included an EXTRA $2000.00 charge! While unloading the trucks, (expensive wooden) furniture was dropped, broken, cracked, and/or scratched, with little or no regard by the movers themselves. There might have been some nervous laughter.

When it came to unloading our boxes, the Movers shot them down the truck ramp like luggage handlers at the airport! One after the other, the faster the better, with NO regard whatsoever for those with the contents marked as "FRAGILE" or "GLASS". Boxes came down on their sides, as well as upside down. Let us not forget about those boxes that simply tumbled completely off the side of the ramp and smacked onto the concrete without any concern by our Movers! The home we were moving into was being renovated. The men working on the job site stopped their carpentry to help unload the truck because they couldn't believe the shoddy fashion in which our possessions were being treated by the All My Sons Movers.

When the Movers left our home, a handmade glass cabinet was left standing upside down. Boxes marked "Fragile" were left on the BOTTOM of huge stacks of heavy boxes, besides being left upside down. The Movers showed absolutely no care whatsoever in how they left our possessions! I will NEVER recommend All My Sons Moving and Storage. Ignore what the front office tells you because when the movers themselves arrive, they will treat your possessions like they are worthless!

The movers themselves are great. The guys who came up to help me did a very good job, but had an issue with a large piece of furniture, which caused me to have to make alternate arrangements that added time and money to my move that I never planned for. My plans were thrown significantly off track, as my move with All My Sons had been arranged weeks in advance. I spoke with Hector about this, and his customer service skills were completely nonexistent. He had zero respect, refused to compensate me in any way for this issue, and ultimately, after yelling in my ear, hung up the phone. Truly appalling behavior, and as a person in business, I am even more appalled knowing that if I spoke the way he did, I would have been fired on the spot. Do not give these people any business, but, if you are in a position to do so, ask the laborers if they’re looking for a job. They deserve better as representatives of a business.

Both Texas and Boston outfits were unhelpful & blamed each other so no one to date has been accountable. Had horrible packers with even less professionalism. For example put one pillow in a dish box and then put multiple dishes unwrapped with any sort of paper in with lamp (yes all broken). Refused to lock first truck prior to leaving until we threatened to call cops if they left our property without back of truck with our stuff locked. For context this was a 8+ state move across country. Mover literally fighting with us about locking it!!? Oh also not one thing was inventoried or signed by us?!

Then due to bad packing by the first set of movers they had to get a 2nd truck the next day further delaying our move that impacted timeline with our employers. We went with All My Sons because of the private truck where we knew only our stuff. PLOT TWIST - they unloaded our 2nd truck and used a 3rd party ABF shared semi truck which moves commercial items WITHOUT OUR KNOWLEDGE OR ANY AUTHORIZATION. Believe there’s some interstate commerce laws broken or straight up stealing our items and moving it with a vendor we never knew about. Items on 2nd truck showed up a week later and 90% broken which was our most expensive. Bed, frames, TVs, mirrors, family heirlooms, computer monitors, Peloton, shelves, mattress bag opened and debris from commercial items on with our stuff. Not even a bulkhead to protect our residential items.

There are a lot of easy steps a moving company can take to provide a fairly accurate quote, and steps any business can and should take to properly communicate when they intend to charge much more than they quote. All My Sons did neither. My initial quote for a one bedroom move was $800-$1000. I have a couch, a small dresser, two end tables, and a queen bed frame that they had to take apart. This shouldn't take long (fast forward: the lead mover asked me to put the frame together for him after they finally arrived at my new place to unload my items, stating it was very easy to do. I asked him to do it- he took it apart. He seemed annoyed),

I asked them to bring one wardrobe box for my move at THEIR suggestion. I had a few items in the closet I wore during the week. The team at All My Sons told me over the phone that they'd have a few extra boxes and their prices for them were the same as Walmart so it made sense to let them box a few items (like backpacks and bags). My afternoon move arrived at 3:45PM -very late, and began the $199 per hour clock while I was asked to initial and sign my life away. Why can't this document be sent in advance? Why am I paying a moving company for time to review something that requires my initials in about 30 different places? There is no time to read, and I learned that's what they want. They want you to simply sign. They were so late, I could not stay to supervise the move- but I was initially there.

At no time did anyone tell me my move might cost more than the quote and they walked my one bedroom apartment before starting the job. In fact, one of the movers looked around my apartment and said, "this is easy. We should be out of here in an hour and a half". I had to leave to get to my new place and grab a FOB in order to let them in at arrival. At no time did anyone from All My Sons call me to tell me what they were doing or how much my move wound cost behind my initial estimate. They took extraordinarily long. Again, no one communicated to me during this time. I called to ask where they were as I waited at my new place. They finally arrived about 8:30 PM, going 21 miles. I had to pay before they would unload- this was the first time I learned the charge was $1521!

$187 for gas (let's presume the truck gets 10 miles per gallon. Really??) $190 for packing supplies (Walmart pricing?) $199 for travel time of one hour (ok). 4.75 hours to move at $199 per hour. I call **. How much stuff did I have? It took me less than an hour to completely unpack my things the next day. I don't have a lot. My own wardrobe boxes, that I packed and sealed, were opened and items were thrown in. My clothes were off the rod and bunched up at the bottom. My TV stand was broken during the move. The lead tried to suggest it was like that- then finally stated I could file a claim (at 60 cents per pound- why even bother?)

I have moved 10 times in 12 years and this felt like a complete rip off. The company does not care and points to the pages of initials I completed but could not read through, and the final signature I had to provide for them to unload (pay or they won't unload). They don't care. I work in an industry where people move every day- no one can believe what they charged me. Families in three bedroom houses paid just a bit more AND I DO NOT HAVE A LOT OF STUFF! After so many moves, I've downsized so much. I was not expecting to pay nearly twice the price of the starting quote.

This all felt very shady to me. I don't feel their communication is ethical. In the 4-75 hours it took them to move my items, no one could verify the price? For that amount of money, I would have thrown a lot of things out and bought new. And, again, I don't have much stuff and most of it was packed. Not one phone call from them to review a change in price. However, I was reminded several times to tip by sending cash through Zelle. I can't recommend this company - if for no other reason than for it's deceiving quoting practices, because they are unethical-but there are many reasons to avoid them. Basic communication is common courtesy and easy to do, unless you're making your money on bait and switch practices.

Completely took advantage of a homeowner out of town. My brother was overseeing and left when they were packing up and said they were half an hour from calling another family member to meet them at the storage unit. They did not leave for another 2.5 hours. Once there was no supervision, they just stopped working. When asked about it, they lied and said they were held up at the loading dock, which the building management said was a complete lie - the loading dock and service elevator were both reserved for their exclusive use for the move.

At the time of the charge, they charged more time for a partial (no large furniture) move out of a 1-bedroom apartment than the same size crew moving out of a 3-bedroom apartment. They just sat around. Then they refused to edit the estimate of materials moved - nearly TWICE as expensive as what they actually used. I had to call their head office from abroad before they would itemize, and the materials cost dropped by nearly half. Then my agent went back to the apartment, and they had blatantly ignored the packing list they were given. They left art on the walls, towels in the towel racks, wastepaper baskets, cutting boards, countless household items that were SPECIFICALLY mentioned in the packing list not to forget. ART ON THE WALLS.

This team was horrific and completely took advantage of the situation today, and the main office refused to acknowledge their behavior and tried to pass off responsibility from one member to another. "If you have a problem, call Sam." "No no, if you have a problem, call Chris." I had nothing but problems today. Movers beware. Save your money for a lot that will do the job properly and not gaslight you about their blatant misbehavior afterwards.

This company was recommended/set up by our realtor. So, we trusted they were good. So - they were good in that they showed up, packed furniture with care and worked well together as a team. My estimate for a 53 mile move was $2000. I thought this was high, but decided to do it anyway because my husband and I could not physically move certain items from upstairs. My complaint is that 1. The final bill was $2945, almost $1000 more than the estimate and 2. The 3 gentleman and 1 lady were not appreciative for the tips which was another $200 expense I wasn’t even expecting. Shame on me for not reading reviews before hiring.

Wish I could give ZERO stars. I hired AMS in December to do a move from a storage unit to a brand new house, because I was 7 months pregnant. The movers were very nice, but they went over the quoted time/cost (which was costly) then caused over $1000 in damages - Furniture (brand new bed, pictured), walls, doors. I called, they were very nice & gave me the claims dept email. Since, I have sent AMS several emails, pictures, receipts... It’s been months and I’m STILL waiting on my “promised ‘prompt’ reimbursement”. Unprofessional and disrespectful.

Let me revise my review of Ally My Sons Moving. As stated previously Dangelo, Alex, and Dujuan were very hard workers. After they finished, I advised that they find another employer. I booked with All My Sons Moving 3 weeks in advance. I was given a quote of $139 an hour, which I thought was fair. When I scheduled I asked the scheduler to please make sure that I would be the first move of the day. I checked the schedule and saw that there would be a Memphis Grizzles game the night of my move, and stressed to the scheduler that the move had to happen first thing in the morning. He assured me that it would, and he would make sure that I was first on the list. Well as time passed by and the clock struck 1:00 PM, I was very very frustrated. I called All My Sons to see what the status was, and the guy that answered said he would check and call me right back. That call never happened, and the movers showed up at 3:30.

They wrapped up around 5, but of course as I expected parking was nightmare. The move from my current residence and old residence is exactly 0.7 miles, but they were stuck in traffic for more than an hour. They finally found a place to park, and before they unpacked I was told that my total cost would be $992 dollars! Let's do the math, 2 hours to pack, 2 hours to unpack totals $556, keep in mind I made a deposit of $100 dollars, so my total pay out should be close to $450-550 including taxes.

One of the movers put Tim on the phone that stated he was the owner. He stated that I owed close to $200 dollars extra for gas which I was never informed of on front (wait the move was .07 miles and gas cost $200?), also I was being charged for supplies. Again when I scheduled I was never informed of this and asked Tim, where was a contract stating these additional costs? He admitted that he didn't see that a contract was ever sent to me but we could settle things if I paid the driver $700 in cash to get my furniture unloaded. He said he would see if he could give me a credit the next day, but of course I never heard back from him.

I went to bed extremely frustrated and exhausted as I became a part of the moving team because I wanted things wrapped up and to be done with this nightmare of an experience. I went to my former residence and in shock I discovered that several boxes, tables had not been moved. I took a video of this and sent it over to Tim, still no response. So day 2 of my moving experience kicked off with me and a friend moving the remaining items. Lastly, I did have an item broken and the mover did apologize for breaking it. Please and I repeat, please do not use this company. Oh, to put the icing on the cake, I finally received a copy of the contract (BOL) later that night after the move. I'm hoping Tim is a man of his word and will issue me a refund, or someone from this company will. Worst Moving Experience EVER!!!

The loaders kept stopping to talk movies, which lead to a 2 1/2 hour loading time. The movers who unloaded only took an hour and a half and they moved all my things into a 3 bed/3 bath house, 2 story with a 2 car garage placing items specifically into each area.

Things were broken, a chip in the glass top kitchen table, my glass top work desk because things were pulled apart and went missing where it was all packed together for easy assembly, and now I can't use that desk at all, a house warming gift I got for my wife before the move is just gone. I found a broken thick glass vase that has the bottom corner broken off, but when I emptied the box, there was no glass...where'd it go? Probably with my wife gift. Things are missing, likely stolen because they are nowhere to be found. I was treated badly by the movers, then when I called, I was treated badly by Alex, a manager. I asked to hear the call to support my claims, he stated that they don't record the calls.

DO NOT USE All My Sons. I rate them with 0 stars. Moving from a two bedroom apartment to a one bedroom apartment. Upon setting up the move with Melissa about three weeks in advance, the day of the move (after having a flat tire and delaying the move by 4 hours) Melissa informs us that they cannot move into a senior apartment complex because of company COVID rules. Apparently, their employees are not required to know where they are sending their drivers. The name of the apartment complex specifically has the word SENIORS in it. These protocols were never shared. They did not have any more availability for the same day. After a conversation, she said that they could fit the move in that day, moving the belongings into a storage unit.

This meant additional money had to be used to rent a unit. They moved the belongings and after all of the drama, the move still cost $1100 (WAY TOO MUCH). This was an ALL day process and All My Sons never took any responsibility. Since the move, I’ve been trying to speak with Leona, the Customer Care Manager at headquarters to seek compensation, but no return phone call. Overall, the moving experience SUCKED. Not timely, not apologetic, and overpriced. Employees of the company should be required to verify where they are going prior to the moving day and disclose the company protocols.

I did the 2 hour minimum and the 1 hour of drive time they require, so add that up at $159.00 a hour... it took them one hour to load my small 950 square foot apartment up and then one hour drive time to my new place (which was not a hour away but only 18 minutes) then it took less then a hour to unload my stuff from the truck because I had others helping (which the movers said was fine it would cut down my bill) so I used the 2 hour minimum plus the hour of drive time, so my bill came out to $778.00.

PLEASE READ - VERY IMPORTANT - First of all, I now know not to trust the 5-star rating on Google, Facebook, etc. After I paid for the move, the foreman sent me links to submit reviews. He was assisting me with my review on Google. (I know how to do reviews.) He was looking over my shoulder, said to choose the 5, had me type the names of the crew and then said, "You can now write an AMAZING review." I told him I would do it later as I was tired. There was a lot of pressure to do it right now. After they left, he kept texting me stating “I can’t wait to see your AMAZING Review.” 2 MOVES - Moving to a new house, son moving to the home I moved from.

2/5/2022 Move # 1 – The move went pretty smoothly, and the crew worked very hard, except it did cost a lot more than I expected. I was originally quoted 3-4 hours, $199/hour, 3-man crew. In addition to the 15% fuel charge and materials. I figured about $1,500, however it was $2,600. They sent the 4-man crew at $249 and said it would be cheaper in the long run.

The main issue is that we were going to do a walk-through, however, the foreman was so insistent on getting a photo-op in front of the truck with the crew. Once we did that, they just took off without a walk-through. When I went through the house, I was very disappointed that my tv wasn’t put together. I needed it to be put on the base and put on the dresser. I don’t have the tools to attach the base and the tv was too heavy for me to lift. I texted him but did not receive a response. I had to hire a handyman to assist me, which cost an additional $60. I just chalked this up to a bad experience and was glad it was done.

2/12/2022 Move #2 - Moving from a 900 square foot 2-bedroom apartment to a townhouse. 15 minutes of travel time between the 2 homes. Not a lot of furniture, mainly boxes and bags. Everything was bagged and boxed up prior to the movers showing up. We were quoted 3-4 hours, $199/hour plus the 15% fuel change and materials, total of $640.00 + materials. We budgeted about $950 at the most. ISSUE – The movers took almost 9 hours and it cost $2,360.40. It should not take 8 hours to move a 2-bedroom, 900 square foot apartment. We were even charged a .25 overtime charge.

The crew moved so slow; it took 5 hours just to load the truck and 3.25 hours to unload. It felt like they were moving slow to make more money in the labor charges. Unfortunately, they must be paid prior to the truck being unloaded, our belongings are held hostage. There is no way to dispute the amount being charged. Calls were made to the supervisor during the move to complain about move, nothing was done, and he was not willing to do anything about the charges. After numerous calls and promises, there has been no resolution.

I was mocked on the phone when reaching out to speak with management after a horrendous experience. They will outright refuse to connect you with corporate and hang up on you when you inform them it has been a week of calling and emailing to no avail. After several calls and emails over the past six days, I have been told to call back later by staff. Today after explaining the situation again, AMS Boynton Beach has made it clear they intend to make any effort to speak with management an arduous process in the attempt to have me give up. I was informed by phone and email, I would have a three-person team. My preference because of a knee injury, was not to be physically involved. I was assured that I wouldn't need to worry. On Thursday (Feb.24) morning, at 7:10 AM. Scott calls, offering to change the mover's arrival to Saturday, a day later than scheduled.

My response "Scott, we discussed that Friday is the date". I advised him I would call him back after 8 am. I called and emphasized that his last-minute call was causing me concern! It suggested their lack of preparation, and I queried if I should make other arrangements. Scott assured me that I had nothing to worry about and he emphasized a three-person team would be there to move everything.

The movers arrived on time at 1:40 pm and the supervisor arranged payment at 1:55. I then asked of the two employees where the third mover was, and they informed me it was only the two of them! Within 30 minutes it became apparent these two neither had a sense of urgency nor real willingness to do the job appropriately. I expressed concern that we were not getting enough of the items into the elevator and we (myself included) would have to pick up the pace. The gentleman's response was to break eye contact. Concerned, I texted Scott "Scott, the 3rd mover would have made this a bit more streamlined. We're not making good progress" (2:28 pm).

Attempting to get efficiency from these 2, I said to one of them "I'm sorry if I seem stressed out. I just want to make sure we can get this done so I don't hurt myself lifting things into the evening and weekend". His reply was that [my earlier comments] “didn't bother him”. Unfortunately, when the job was "complete" Scott's phone call to wrap things up was handled with his own lack of professionalism.

Upon stating he "didn't charge me for going over the time limit", I commented that upon my realization he didn't send three movers I was forced to become physically involved in the process and I re-stated the initial concerns I had vocalized several times during our conversations. He offered no response and it was evident there was no desire to empathize with, nor attempt to resolve, the situation. When the silence was prolonged, I said "Scott, please call me back in 30 minutes. I am going to collect my thoughts and I would like to speak with you, or someone at All My Sons who is willing to listen to my perspective on what went wrong". He said he would call me back. I received no call.

Broken glass was left hidden behind a door in the public hallway. After the team left, I walked down the hall to discover an orange water bottle that belonged to the mover which had been left in the hallway. In addition, a shattered glass coffee table surface appears to have been hidden behind a hallway door in the opposite direction. Upon realizing the glass was my coffee table surface, I was quite bothered that I had not been advised, and clearly that they lacked concern for the safety of other residents. Who wants first-day trouble with an HOA for leaving dangerous broken glass about? Elderly neighbors use this hallway for exercise. Residents are entitled to a hallway free of garbage and broken glass. Transparency on this issue would have been much more professional.

Door damage and carpet tear: None of the furniture was arranged or set down in a reasonable order during the move. A furniture leg appears to have torn the carpet because the item was dragged, instead of being placed, a few feet further into the room. Multiple requests for "COI" CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE Over the course of February 16 - 23rd, I had to follow up by phone and email multiple times to request COI be sent to my new HOA. Each time I communicated with AMS (in both email and phone) I provided the HOA's email address.

I recently recommended your company to my clients and it was the worst mistake I have ever made. I will say that I have used your company before and had a great experience (which is why I recommended them). This move was such a disaster, not only will I never recommend you again, but I feel I have to warn others about hiring your company. The highlights are this:

Move was supposed to be 6 hours total (3 on each end) including packing. Move took over 17 hours over 2 days. Left my clients sleeping on the floor of their new home with virtually no essentials. 3 children (btw). 90% of the house was packed already so company only had to pack 10%. Threw random items together in massive boxes with literally no regard for their belongings. Packed glass lamps, with crayons and bike helmets with rain boots. Used zero packing material. ZERO! Broke a loft bed and a Sleep Number bed and many small items. Will take no responsibility for any other this.

I called and spoke with Brad who told me he was the owner. Did not care one bit about my dissatisfaction. Completely uninterested in hearing any of the issues. I am so disappointed in this company. I do not take leaving bad comments/reviews lightly. If All my Sons would have done the right thing and compensated my clients for their damages, I would not leave such a review. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

AMS moved my furniture from our previous residence to a storage facility. In the process, they neglected to remove the wrap from my refrigerator and prop the doors open. As a result, the refrigerator molded and is not salvageable. When I submitted a claim for my $2k refrigerator, they offered me a measly $138. This is not damage due to a move, but rather due to the negligence of the employees they hired. These same movers also lost bed hardware, leg to my adjustable base, and an electrical cord for my leather recliner sofa. Not only did I have to pay over $4k for these two moves (into storage and then to my new residence), but now I have to incur the cost of a new fridge and bed since the hardware is now unavailable. I am appalled by their lack of professionalism and customer service. Save yourself the heartache and use another company!

We agreed for them to send 8 movers for two days. Day one to pack and day two to load and unload the truck. They estimated based on a phone call to discuss items in each room. They didn’t come out to the house for a more accurate quote. We relied on their expertise. They significantly damaged the floor of one room, made a huge gouge in arched entry trim and broke at least one item. They barely packed pictures and glass. In previous moves movers packed these items in crates. They quoted 4 hrs to load and 4 to unload. Instead they sent 2 fewer movers and one less truck. It took them 7 hours to load and over 4 hours to unload. Fortunately they honored the price they quoted. I would make them perform an on-site quote and specify how you want items packed.

We were quite disappointed with our experience. The initial estimate was about one quarter of the true cost. They left many items behind, including a full closet of clothes, and spent way too much time wrapping and unwrapping furniture for a short move of only a couple of blocks, within the same apartment complex. All of this added significantly to the cost in terms of both time and material. The final cost was considerably more than even their highest estimate we had been given. The men there actually worked hard, but I assume that it was company policy that led to the excessive charge. Though, of course, leaving items behind was due to the workers. They even failed to empty a drawer below the oven that I specifically asked if they had. I would not hire them again and cannot recommend them.

All My Sons Moving Company- Hired to move me on November 15, 2021. They started at 3pm. It was the Worst Experience I’ve ever had with a moving company. I have moved many times in my life and have hired movers before but I have never had an experience like this. It was unbelievable and incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I hired 3 men and a truck. I got 4 men and 2 trucks, with one remaining empty. I from a one bedroom apartment to a condo with 99% of my things already packed. The entire distance from my old place to the new one, was 4 miles and a 5 minute drive at max.

I trusted this company with my things that I saved for years to buy. I have a lot of expensive things and mirrored furniture that they assured me that they would handle properly. I was charged over a thousand dollars for 4 hours work (1 hour waiting on the cops to arrive). I paid to have my things mishandled, broken, and held for ransom. This is the first time I’ve ever had anything broken during a move. The workers were disrespectful and unprofessional. They damaged my things and the physical property that I moved into by rating the security gate and knocking down trees with their truck. Not once did they apologize for their behavior. I DO NOT recommend this company to anyone that is looking for professional movers. It ended with me calling the police on them to ensure that I received all of my belongings after they got paid in full.

The Driver made questionable decisions at best. They came very close to running into the cars parked in the parking lot. They blocked several cars in when there was plenty of empty space elsewhere. It didn’t make sense and when I asked them to move, I was ignored most to the time. See images below. At one point, the driver parked at the front of the condo blocking most of the entrance and wanted to unload my washer and dryer, go thru the security gate, wheel them (with a hand truck) all the way around to the back of the property and place it the storage area in the basement.

The driver ran into trees, tearing off branches, while backing up from the front of the condo entrance, to the back where they had to unload the storage items. Also, he hit and grazed the security gate as they were driving thru on their way out after completing the job. My neighbor, on the second floor, yelled, “Stop that truck!” When I looked back I saw the entire gate rocking back and forth. The police were there and told the movers to “Get out of here…” The driver stated that he should sue the gate for hitting his truck. Unbelievable.

I believe that they ran the time up by delaying the job. They unloaded the storage areas 1st, then the things inside of the condo, then had to go back to the storage area to unload the rest. Totally unorganized. It took 4 and 1/2 hours to complete the move of a one bedroom apartment with no bedroom furniture, 4 men and 2 trucks. About an hour of that was waiting on the police to come. After they drove to the front of the condo for the second time, they informed me that they still had my washer and dryer on the truck and would have to go back to the back of the condo, thru the gate again to unload it. It made no sense except that they were holding my last items to ensure that they got paid even though my debit card was on file and I had made a security deposit.

I didn’t trust these guys to completely unload my washer and dryer and insisted that they call their manager. No answer, so I called the police. There was an argument and curse words exchanged. How unprofessional. There is a statement in the contract that says that payment is due upon receipt of all items. They chose to follow the other statement that says they get paid Before all items are unloaded.

It took me 2 weeks to pack my one bedroom apartment by myself. I am a disabled veteran for my back, legs, and eyes. I suffer from pain everyday but I pulled everything out of the bedroom & bathroom areas and placed them into two separate areas. The things that would go into storage, had a red sign on it and placed together in the dining room. The only thing that was not packed was my smoked mirrored table and my 55inch TV. I left that up to the professionals I hired to help me. They broke my mirrored table. They broke several of my dishes. With all of that, they still brought storage items into my condo and I have no way to move them out unless I hire someone else.

Because I have trouble with my vision, I rely on verbal promises and statements. The lady that booked me for moving misinformed me of what these movers would do. She assured me that they were at my disposal and would do what I need of them because they were paid by the hour. But, when they got here, they declined to help me unpack everything and take all of the boxes with them (even though I was promised they would).

When the movers first got there, which was at 3 pm, they started moving my things and about halfway thru, they produced a contract I had never seen before on an electronic pad. I signed not reading the entire thing but was under the impression that they would take care of my things and deliver them to two different areas in the condo I was moving to. I didn’t get a copy of the contract until the next day. I feel that All My Sons Moving Company took advantage of me and used unethical practices to obtain my money. I am left with filing a claim for things that were broken that aren’t even sold anymore. They are permanently lost and destroyed. No person should have to go thru this humiliation and disrespect.

We had a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience with this company. We did all the boxing of items ourselves, carefully wrapping glassware and other fragile items in bubble wrap and labeling as fragile. Only to have the movers stack boxes like 5' high on hard-wheel dollies, with boxes clearly labeled fragile often on the bottom, and then have them bounce the dollies down two flights of stairs on the way to the truck. So many boxes were crushed upon delivery and every boxed marked fragile had damage. They even used these hard-wheeled dollies to bounce a grandfather clock down the stairs too.

And they were in no hurry either. A move that should have taken 4 hours took 6, because they charge by the hour and as much as I pressed them, they would not give firm price or max number of hours. That one is on me because we didn't book anything better sooner. The final straw was when the movers demanded a tip at the end and wouldn't leave until we gave them one. $1400 and we're half-way through unpacking and have already probably $500 in broken stuff. I wish I had done the move myself. Now I'm in the process of filing claims and after 3 phone calls I still don't have a claim form to file. Can I give negative stars?

My husband got on the phone and it was clarified that NEITHER my husband nor the manager clarified with each other the packing of the rest of the belongings so this was both their fault. There was a big, real wood dresser and in the process of them moving it they damaged our hardwood floors pretty bad and ripped up the lip leading from the master bedroom into the living room.

One guy tried to bring the dryer in through the garage door which was way smaller than the front door and ended up denting the garage door. The same guy then proceeded to drag the dryer on the new house floors into the laundry room until I looked at him and said, "ummmm you are scratching up the floors!" He looked at me and said, "Oh sorry". As they were moving the big wooden dresser into my bedroom, they put a big gash in the wall and did not even apologize. They were in such a hurry to get things moved into the house, we had 3-4 people bringing things in so fast and we were only two people, we had to tell them to slow down so we could figure out where things were supposed to go.

Half the stuff was supposed to be put in the garage and we told them that from the jump and my husband explained that to them and showed them what was to be put in the garage but they tried to be EVERYTHING in the house and then had the NERVE to say WE were unorganized! Do not hire them if you actually want to move when you are scheduled or if you care about customer service and honesty. They called us the morning of our move at 9am (we had a Saturday slot from 12-4) and asked if we could move on Monday, offering no incentive or apology. We said no because we work, and we had reserved this date weeks ago. First red flag. The movers showed up to the storage facility and took 30 min to assess the storage units with no sense of urgency for time even though we were being billed by the hour. After 30 min they said would not have time for the move. Even though we had moved from a house to this storage unit 3 months prior with the same amount of people, size truck, and allotted time with another company from a further distance.

They then blamed the number of items and said they had to get to another job. We told them even though we had done the same move prior, we could use a U-Haul for any extra items. We were clear about the size of the move from the beginning. They were trying to change the narrative and avoid responsibility. It was obvious from the morning call that they did not have the capacity for the job. From that call in the morning to the moment they arrived they did not want to do the move. They made no effort to problem solve. There was no apology, no customer service, no acknowledgement of wrongdoing of any kind. They canceled our contract on the spot and left us high and dry with no help to move. Moving is stressful and expensive. I would implore anyone to use any other business than this one. I work for a title company and I know that customer service is important to me and should be to your company but we never got to move on Saturday nor did anyone call us back, we had asked to speak to the general manager and still have not received a phone call. This is the worst experience I could ever imagine. I expect a refund of my deposit as no one other than Chase there was helpful at all. He even said to us if it was his choice he would refund us the deposit for what we went through. He has seemed to be the only one to even call us back. Trace is awful and should be let go, his customer service skills are ridiculous! Also your general manager is not calling back and just avoiding the whole situation.

I expect this to be made right! We still have not moved into our home and your workers complained over an hour about some items that took him and I 30 minutes to load up. I expect a call back from your corporate office on how to rectify this situation. Also the guy that was allergic to cats told my husband he has a moving business on the side and can move us for cheaper. (Is this the kind of people you want running your company?)

A salesman, Rick, from AMS, Cherry Hill, NJ, came to my home with glowing promises to move my furniture safely and efficiently. He quoted the Google reviews for AMS, but failed to mention that the Cherry Hill NJ site has a horrendous reputation. Leading up to the move, I worked with Rick to ensure that the inventory “cube” sheet was 100% accurate.

When moving day came (Sep 2, 2021), AMS sent a truck that was much too small for the job, no blankets for padding the furniture, and an inexperienced crew that couldn’t handle my heavy, solid wood pieces. They put holes in my drywall and numerous gouges in my wood floors, and they failed to load about 20 pieces of furniture that were included on the inventory sheet that was part of the “Binding Estimate”. They failed to adequately wrap and secure the furniture when loading the truck. As of result of their negligence and incompetence, many of my expensive, heirloom pieces were badly damaged in transport. And, an antique chair mysteriously vanished from their truck while en route to my new home!

Chris, the owner of the Cherry Hill NJ site, was rude, dismissive, unapologetic and had the nerve to charge over $1000 more to move the remaining items even though it was their mistake and his responsibility. This forced me to rent a U Haul last-minute to personally move the remaining items myself. Now I am dealing directly with the claims department at AMS Corporate in an attempt to resolve the loss and severe damages to my property. Neither Chris nor Rick would return messages or phone calls.

I had purchased additional insurance prior to the move but I think that was a joke. I do not understand how AMS headquarters continues to allow the Cherry Hill NJ site to operate in an egregiously unprofessional manner that sullies the entire AMS reputation. Save yourself the aggravation and heartache, and go elsewhere for a moving company!

We used this company in last spring to move our home from Greenville, SC to Charleston, SC. First, they made an extra low estimate for the moving cost to get us hooked. On the moving day they sent one small truck for our five bedroom house. As a result, only half of our belongings was loaded. Our closing time was three days away. And they couldn’t move the rest of our stuff the next day. So they hauled our stuff to their storage site, and we had to set up the second moving day three weeks later.

At that time, our son was in terminal illness in a different city. There was no way we could supervise the second moving. We had to ask a neighbor to open the door for us. When we flew to Charleston to receive our second batch of furniture, we found several pieces missing. They had to go look for them. It turned out some of them were left in their storage. And others were left at the house. (We had to hire people to discard them, because we had to stay with our son). So we had to set the date for the third moving!

When we flew back to Charleston to receive the missing pieces, we found our expensive dining table badly damaged (see photos 1, 2 and 3). Some places were chewed by rodents, the table top fell off plus chipped because they dropped the whole thing! We also found out our vintage patio furniture was left behind. Again, we had to ask people to take them away. We contacted the company and was very poorly received. They said we signed the contract and couldn’t hold them accountable!

On the other hand, in the new address, they broke the wall (see photo #4) and scratch the floor in multiple place. One of them is shown on photo #5. We filed claim for damage. They paid us $350 in total! They asked for the receipt of our furniture. We couldn’t find it after moving. We have moved 5 times in the past 35 years. After the happy experiences of previous 4 times, this one was a shocking nightmare!

If I could give this company zero stars I would. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. Even if you are in the most desperate situation, do not waste your money. This is the most disrespectful and unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. I booked my move over a month out, where they were holding my stuff for 2 weeks while I was in between my lease and then move my things back into a new place. The night before my move into my new place, Michael ** emailed me to cancel due to a "forklift issue". When I started asking questions, it was clear the forklift was not broken and he was lying (not sure if he double booked or someone called out sick). They didn't have any availability for FOUR MORE days, so I had to be in my new place with nothing... no bed, kitchen stuff, clothes, etc.

Then they tried to tell me they couldn't offer any discount for the inconvenience which I eventually was able to negotiate $15 off per hour and only sending two workers instead of three. Pretty insane that being the owner of the facility that is all he could offer, but at that point I just wanted to get my stuff so I agreed. Then they arrived with my things, they were all nice and the move went fine until I found out that they broke my TV stand and it was completely destroyed. Additionally, things were missing which they were then looking for in the truck. Both of these things took an extra 30 minutes for them to deal with... which the company then tried to charge me an extra $100 for this extra 30 min and I declined after everything I'd been through. I told the truck driver why and he agreed with me that I shouldn't pay the extra money for them trying to deal with the broken/missing items, AND confirmed that the forklift was definitely not broken.

I then filed the claim for the broken TV stand (they broke other small things too but I didn't bother because of how difficult they are to work with), and a month later they come back and said they won't process my claim until I pay the extra $100.... I tried to call and explain the situation to the corporate office, but they said they couldn't do anything and only the local company can only waive the extra fee... but that they would call and get back to me... Of course they never called me back. So I called the local office to try and speak with them (for the 20th time at this point probably), and he did not care AT ALL. Per usual, he was short, rude and did not care that they broke my stuff or that I shouldn't have to pay for the time that they spent trying to find/fix things THEY BROKE/LOST. If you've made it this far... I am impressed and probably means you were still considering using them. I hope I have saved you the trouble and you WILL NOT give this company any of your valuable money.

In brief, I cannot, will not, recommend All My Sons to anyone. I paid for an experienced, efficient move. What I got was a pig-in-a-poke. The crew was inexperienced, slow, and poorly trained. Definitely not worth the $206.00 per hour I was being charged. I know most people move past one-star reviews, but I suggest you read mine. It is not about unreasonable demands or just being angry. These people seriously messed up my moving experience.

The company throws a lot of good jargon out to the public, but my experience is they make no effort to meet their standard, and when called on it, would make no effort to reasonably accommodate the customer for the inconvenience. On the website you will see phrases like “count on us for a stress free moving experience” (video), “quality matters…we own what we do”, and most laughably, “you have enough on your plate so relax, we’ll take care of everything” (video). The have a great set of values, six in all, but I saw no evidence of those in play.

Before All My Sons arrived at my home, I had already moved all of the small items. I spent two weeks packing and moving dishware, collectibles, clocks, etc. Virtually all that was left for them was furniture and large tools in my garage. There were a few boxes and odd items like vacuums, but nothing out of the ordinary. I also had at least two conversations with them prior to moving day about what would be moved – two beds, one of them a murphy bed I disassembled to make it easy, a loveseat, a couple of China cabinets, dining room set and chairs, - normal furniture. During these conversations I was told to expect it to take about 5 or 6 hours to complete, which sounded reasonable since I was reserving a three-man crew. I was assured their people were well trained and experienced. Too bad for me.

When the crew arrived, the lead told me it would take about 4 hours to load it all up. No problem with that, so I stepped aside and let them go to work. It quickly became apparent to me that the crew was slow from the start. The two helpers didn’t seem to know what to do or where to begin. I began to watch them more closely and noted the helpers did not seem to understand material handling very well. (I worked several years in warehousing and have been a safety professional for many more, so I know a thing or two about it.) I began to work more closely with them, showing them better ways to move items, ways that reduced stress and had a lower chance of hurting someone or damaging my furniture.

Most of the time the lead was on the truck arranging items as they were brought out of the house. At about the 3 hour mark he came to me to say that they would not be able to get all my stuff on the truck. Now mind you, this is a 26 ft box truck, not a small piece of machinery. I took a look at the truck and immediately recognized they were just putting things in, they weren’t arranging anything for efficiency. There were voids in the space they had blocked with large items, small items were loaded in before big ones, leaving less room to stack and arrange. I explained this and they began to unload/rearrange the truck. I began to question their experience and that is when I learned the “highly experienced, capable crew” sent to my home consisted of a lead with 1 month of experience and two helpers who were being trained. One of them had a week under his belt, the other was experiencing his first day on the job.

At the 6 ½ hour point they were through with the loading. This is way beyond the 4 hour estimate, and keep in mind, they charge by the hour. At this point in the process I had already progressed from being the customer to being a manager, and had been on the phone with the local office to let them know the process was not going smoothly and that I was not happy with it. Most importantly, I was not happy with the company – the crew was not to blame for what had transpired so far, they were working hard, they just did not have the experience, training, or leadership needed. Certainly not enough to warrant $206.00 per hour plus materials.

When we arrived at the storage unit to offload they calculated my billing based on the time expected to complete the job. They have to collect the final amount prior to offloading. I was told the expected time to finish was 7PM. They started at 9:00AM, so we are talking 10 hours to complete an hourly job I was told would be done in about 6! I looked at the situation and realized, based on my observations of the loading process, they would not be able to complete it, not by themselves. At this point I became a working supervisor. I directed most of the unloading and stacking, and did a lot of heavy lifting. It was not what I paid for, but it was the hand I was dealt so I did what I had to do.

I followed up the next day with a phone call to the local office to let them know about my experience. Their response was a paltry discount of $237.93. This against a $2800.00 bill for a service where I had to go from customer to manager to working supervisor to get the job done. I suggested a lower rate, one that reflected the lack of experience and training - $160.00 and hour. After all, their competitors charge about this for their experienced crews. I was refused. I believe I was overcharged for something I did not receive – an experienced, efficient crew and the peace of knowing my move would be handled without needing me to get involved. Seriously, Two Men and a Truck provided better service at a better price when I moved into the home 3 years prior. I only wish they had been available during my schedule for this move.

They were late… I call corporate and speak to a very rude dispatcher Dolores or something like that… She just tells us they rescheduled our move out date because the crew didn’t finish the load the night before and had to unload it into vaults.

Never got a call and then was told that they may not show up today! I told them absolutely unacceptable because we CONFIRMED OUR MOVE DATE THREE MONTHS PRIOR! We had paid our deposit in advance! She was rude then I demanded to speak to manager and placed on hold for 20 mins to then speak with an Alfonso. He stated the crew would have to finish their job from the night before and then asked WHY do we have to wait for a crew that didn’t do their job in the first place and why didn’t anyone call us?! Got the runaround and finally after 6 hrs of wasting the day waiting for movers they sent a different crew!

This crew shows up and tosses our things around, doesn’t wrap anything and the items we hired them to move are DAMAGED! Over 3k of furniture DAMAGED!! I’ve been WAITING for a response or call from the claims department for a WEEK now and not even an apology. They charged us $600 dollars for movers that did a ** job! And if you try to go on their social media pages to comment on their posts and post complaints they DELETE THEM! This company is the absolute WORST! I’ve never hired movers before because I feared this nightmare but our furniture was heavy and I needed help! I hired help and they ruined my belongings!!! This was the worst and waste of time and money! I posted all the photos of damage on my social media and GOOGLE review!

Got a call with our moving time. Later on the day, it got moved. And got moved AGAIN. After waiting the whole day, we find out that the customer before us, with a partial move decided to make it a full move. They accommodated their needs and LEFT US without a truck. Got scheduled for next day, time NOT guaranteed. All we got was a 10% discount. NEVER AGAIN.

Similar experience to most of the other negative reviews. They are very unclear about their quotes on the phone and never mention they charge a $300 transport fee minimum, no matter if you are moving to another city or 15 minutes down the road. After a long back and forth we ended up paying about $1000. They advertise themselves as professional piano movers, which was the reason we hired them in the first place instead of just getting a u-haul and a specific piano mover. This was a huge mistake. At one point the crew was trying to get me as one of the people to carry my own piano down the stairs, but couldn't do it and ended up having to call a second crew to load the piano on a second truck just for the piano.

The movers themselves were fine, and if you are moving a big house it might be worth using them, but they advertise themselves falsely as an inexpensive option, railroad you on the cost with a bunch of fees that are buried in fine print, and then have a very talented complaints department who will waffle, sympathize, apologize and do everything they can to get you off the phone and exhaust you into just accepting the cost. I can't imagine they get much return business.

On Tuesday, June 8, 2021, I contacted “All My Sons Moving.” I explained to the woman with whom I spoke what items would need to be moved from my house that was 30 minutes from this All My Sons location. After providing her with the detailed information, she quoted me $430 for the move. (She initially said it would cost $420-something, but she said that it could be closer to $430, and so she told me to assume $430.) I agreed with that price and paid the requested $100 deposit. Of course, this deposit operated as consideration for the agreement into which we had entered. Still, they did not send me any receipt for my payment or confirmation of scheduling.

A couple days later, and ONE DAY before my scheduled move, the Boulder location Operations Manager, Jonathan Joe **, called me. He began the conversation by apologizing for not calling me sooner, as it is apparently their practice to contact clients on the same day they pay the deposit or the day after to schedule the moving time. He then told me they did not have my email or address on file. I provided that information and again notified him regarding what would need to be moved (the same information relayed when I first called to schedule). As we were preparing to conclude the call, I told him I wanted to confirm a final time that the cost is $430. He immediately became defensive and said something like, “I don’t know who told you that but that’s not even close. It’s going to be more like $750-800.”

This was almost double what I had been quoted before and I am on a budget, as are many people. I told him that, due to this change, I wasn’t sure if this was going to work and I needed to think about it. He rudely said that if I couldn’t confirm at that exact moment, he wouldn’t put me on the schedule. I expressed frustration over being contacted late to schedule, being quoted a higher price, and then being pushed to make an immediate commitment. Jonathan then proceeded to tell me that no one quoted me $430 and that I made it up or got it from a different moving company. I informed him that I only contact a single moving company – them and that I did not make up the price. I had actually written it on a notepad on the day I paid the deposit.

He again said no one from his company quoted $430 and I made up the price. His accusations that I was somehow being dishonest (when he was mistaken and avoiding accountability) led me to tell him the arrangement would no longer work and I requested a refund of my $100 deposit. He said he would not refund me because cancellations must be more than 48 hours before the move in order for a refund to be issues. I explained why this obviously was not fair – he called me late, he changed the price, and no one ever informed me of this policy (again, they didn’t have my email). He said it didn’t matter and he wasn’t going to refund me. He then said he was going to listen to the recordings (suggesting again that I was lying) and I told him to please do so because it would corroborate everything I told him. He then hung up on me as I was in the middle of speaking.

I have never had any experience like this with a business ever before. They called me late to change the price and then wrongfully withheld my money. On top of that, Jonathan spoke to me disrespectfully, repeatedly accused me of lying, hung up on me, and created a HUGE inconvenience because now my move out date is delayed. I was not met with any sort of apology but just afront after afront. This is outrageous and I will never consider paying these people again for the privilege of being treated like dog crap.

Before hiring this company, read the many negative complaints on the Better Business Bureau website. AMS was extremely careless, breaking the leg off an antique table because they did not wrap it, scratching a door in our home, removing and losing a glass shelf in a cabinet, and breaking a credenza. When I filed for damages, the headquarters in Texas did not meet the conditions of its own contract and refused to discuss it with me, even through the BBB. In addition, the movers arrived so late they could not finish the move. They did not return on the agreed upon date to finish, and when we rescheduled, they appeared 3 hours late with no communication. Their movers are clearly overworked, stating they have not had a day off in weeks. If the parent company in Texas were willing to discuss the disputed damages, I might be more sympathetic.

When I initially contacted AMS Moving in Salt Lake City, UT, whomever I spoke with on the phone was the nicest, most accommodating person. He promised such a no-hassle, worry free move, that at the end of the call he even said, "Now will you do something for me? Relax, we will take care of everything." Worst mistake - Worst moving company - Worst people to deal with (after you give them your deposit) - Worst attitudes - Worst care for your belongings...I could go on and on.

They started the day with the mover coming in and claiming my Golden Retriever was his! He kept asking where we got him from because he was sure our family dog was really his. It went from there to constant whining about how hot it was (75 degrees) and how giant my house was (3 bedroom) and how they wouldn't be able to fit it all in a 26' truck and that I'd have to pay extra for a second trip, but they wouldn't have time for that in one day anyway.

When that frustrated me, the movers went so far as to tell me that the "management" always does this to customers - over promises and under delivers, and that he and his crew had already put in their 2-week notice. He also offered to move my stuff "on the side" if I wanted them to finish the job. When I didn't take him up on it, they moved about 60% of the house, unloaded it in a storage unit and told me they'd meet me back at my home to get the rest, and never showed up. It left my son and I to move the remaining items, and parts of beds and broken pieces of furniture they had left behind. Obviously, they would not take my calls afterward, but they did charge me the full moving day hours. BEWARE!!!!

I have had nothing but problems since using the company. I recommend you avoid them at all costs. All My Sons were employed to move my family 8 miles. The moving team turned up, annoyed they had a full working house to move (even though the number of items were stated in the contract). They complained they had no tools and stomped around the house, to the point it made my wife uncomfortable. This continued as they loaded the van.

I indicated to the team, one high value item and signed paperwork to ensuring this was an item of care; the group ignored the moving recommendations- breaking in half a $5000 bookcase. The foreman then got angry at his mistake, shouting at my wife, causing my wife to leave due to the atmosphere. I was asked to submit a claim for the damage, All My Sons came back with a settlement offer of $250.00 not even 10% of the item and basically avoided all elements of accountability. In summary no respect for customers, no respect for females, no accountability on service. Avoid.

It was totally bent out of shape leaving the drawers permanently open! The lead worker assured me he would 'take care' of the situation by 'snagging serial numbers and taking pictures'. That never happened! Weeks went by with nothing happening. I called the local office and the reaction was "We know nothing about this." I was also told by the local manager that "field personnel are not authorized to make compensation for damages."

I later found out through another local customer whose property was destroyed by these sloths that All My Sons does not carry the insurance to cover damages. This was discovered by her lawyer! Again, I was told it would be taken care of by the on site lead worker. Obviously this is the standard ploy to placate a customer when damages occur! These clowns also took several breaks, stood around smoking, and even ordered in pizza! One individual even laid down in the snow at our new house and made snow angels! All on my time and dime! At the end of March 2021, I scheduled a rather easy move with All My Sons Moving Company. Due to Covid, it was a virtual scheduling, which consisted of me walking through the rooms of the house, and sharing my home listing so all furniture that was required to be moved was seen in digital pictures clearly. The move was only a move, and not a pack.

When the movers showed up earlier than the window, they told me that they couldn’t move all the furniture that was on the inventory list. On the truck, was items from another move, which was rather surprising. Large items like a gas grill, were taking up space on the truck and prevented moving many of my furniture items. I had put wardrobes on the list, and those were not provided. And lastly, my Wooden TV hutch, Bed frame and China closet were damaged in the move due to the lack of packing material / wrapping – which was explained to me when I booked the move, and not securing the furniture on the truck properly.

When I called that day of the move about these items, I was told to fill out the damage form and to not worry about moving the remaining items in my home. The following day, I was told to call the 1800 number, then told to call the local office in Stamford CT. I was talked to rather rudely by Mike in Stamford, CT. He laughed about the experience, and wouldn’t assist. When I called Gary, he said he would assist in working between Mike and I to get the credit handled. My fiancé called Mike, and was told to give him a number for what it would cost for us to rent a truck and move my remaining items. We did that via email to Gary and phone call to both Gary and Mike, and our call was not returned by Mike. The call returned by Gary said he can no longer assist. I provided a breakdown with estimates. Nothing was done to credit me for moving my remaining furniture myself.

After finding these things broken, I waited until I had unloaded the majority of my belongings to make sure that I didn't have any more damage. In addition to these things being broken the process of the move was disturbing. I was originally quoted $2500. Then as the move was taking longer I was asked to approve $3100, which I did. However, when I received my bill it was for $3600. I had to hire a U-haul truck and two additional drivers to finish loading and moving items from both the house and the garage that the movers left behind, which cost me an additional $325. In addition to this one of my steps, at my old house, was damaged as they were moving furniture downstairs from the bedrooms to the front hall.

I contacted the owner regarding the broken items and questions regarding the cost differences and let him know that I had to hire more movers as his didn't take all of my belongings. He didn't bother to respond to my email. All My Sons is beyond worthless. They are destructive. Recently, we contracted with All My Sons to move us to San Antonio from the Houston area. The All My Sons project manager did a virtual tour of our home and gave us a price for the move. Moving day came. Two men were assigned to pack the kitchen (including breakable pottery tableware) and a large china cabinet and closet containing fragile items, including two complete sets of china, two sets of crystal (some about 100 years old), and a number of other precious items. Another man was tasked with packing the bedrooms and bathrooms. The fourth man, the supervisor, loaded the truck as boxes were delivered to him. The packing and loading seemed to go well except that the kitchen and china movers were very slow. Otherwise, we observed no problems.

Unloading the next day in San Antonio was a different matter. The same men who loaded also unloaded our possessions. They worked very slowly after a 14-hour day of moving and driving overnight to the destination. My son made it clear that they needed to get moving. They got the furniture in the correct places and beds installed without problem. However, they unloaded and stacked boxes of kitchen pottery and glassware, china, and crystal three boxes high; we didn’t know what was in these boxes at the time because the descriptions were on the box tops.

We had them rearrange many of the boxes but the damage to contents was already done in the moving truck and during unloading. Many delicate items were broken or damaged: Four crystal wine glasses at least one hundred years old were crushed; two clocks were ruined; multiple pottery and china items were irreparably damaged; irreplaceable decorative candle stick (tapers) sets and figurines were broken. Items were apparently thrown into boxes without packing paper or plastic bubble-wrap with no regard for their safety. A flat screen television was destroyed by mishandling.

Even where items were not badly damaged, the quality of packing was terrible. Dozens of framed photographs and paintings were obviously dropped into boxes without any protective paper or bubble-wrap, taking no care whatsoever to prevent scratches or breakage. Figurines that were not delicate were simply tossed into boxes without regard for their safety. Computer-related electronic equipment was dropped haphazardly into boxes resulting in damage to a laser printer and a scanner.

Tools from my shop in the garage had been separated by me before the move into those that fit in my standing tool box and dozens of loose tools hanging on the walls of my shop. The tool box fared well. The loose tools from the shop walls were tossed into a four-foot-high wardrobe box, damaging several saws and other more delicate tools. A compound power chop saw weighing forty pounds was stacked on top of the rest of the tools and the box closed. The box weighed well over 150 pounds and was very difficult for me to move by myself. I had to cut out one full side of the box and watch tools cascade out of the box. Damage was common.

All My Sons has a damage policy that requires the damaged item and all original packaging. They pay 60 cents per pound of damaged property. My insurance carrier could have covered damage but the deductible was high. Regardless, the dollar value of irreplaceable items could not replace broken china and crystal glasses. The two managers at the All My Sons office seemed not the least bit disturbed about the quality of the job. After the job, I was shuttled from one manager with no one taking any responsibility for the bad job All My Sons had done. We had little recourse but to accept our fate. In short, protect your property and avoid All My Sons like the plague or Covid-19.

Where to start.. I've never written a poor review like this before, and have been extremely reticent to do so...However, when a company fails to take responsibility for the actions of their employees, I feel it is imperative that they be called out, otherwise, they may not learn and be able to correct something they possibly were not aware of...So, where to start?...I could go with me having to help the three employees of AMS unload two pods because they couldn't be bothered to get off their phones for more than five minutes at a time, while they were getting paid by the hour coincidentally....Or, how about the person in charge of the crew telling me, "Just to let you know, we do accept gratuity", after they mangled my 5 day old hard wood floors and covered them with blankets so I could not see it..

You may ask, "How did you not notice?". Well, I was the only person there and could not be on 3 floors at the same time. Also, I gave up on trying to remind them to pick up, fold, and stack blankets.. I could continue on this, but I will move on... If I had not had to drive half way across the county the next day, this would have been the end of their presence on my property, if not before.

What about when they tried to get away with charging me for "working" through a lunch hour. The day, as one might expect, did not improve after the "gratuity" comment made to me. After about 6 hours on the clock on what should have been probably a 3-3.5 hour job, at most, for anyone that takes pride in their job or a company that does not tolerate such poor work ethic. After this approximately 6 hours, I just wanted them gone, honestly.

Oh, did I mention that with a large number of moving blankets left throughout the house (including on the areas of the floors they damaged), and no beds put together, they said they were about wrapped up... I kind of sarcastically asked if they could put the beds together. I ended up having to give one of the young men the tools to do so...Anyways, I got them out of my house thinking that this was terrible and I would not recommend to anyone....That is until a little while later, when I was cleaning up what they failed to do all day, I uncovered the scratches....Now we can move on to how their "corporate" people treat customers.

The next day I contacted the company through a number they provided in a voicemail the day before. I only wish I had noticed the voicemail, and might have, had I not been having to help move my own furniture that I paid this company to do. I obviously will not include anyone's name, but I called and advised that I wanted to talk about some damage to my floors, I was immediately met with a wall of defense, and constantly cutting me off with saying that I needed to contact their claims department. Okay, so I said I needed to talk to someone that could help me, so I was put on hold...After being on hold for a minute or two, a person gets on the line, and I could hear the previous person I spoke to clear as day in the background...Must have been a hard call to transfer, oh about 4 feet away.

Anyways, this person is super defensive and trying to shut me down on any talk of them causing damage, so I just said I would find a number for their claims department and address that issue (more on that in a minute). Now, I brought up the crew trying to charge me for time they did not work (well, pretty much all day) by asking if the crew took lunch breaks. After figuring out the simple math, I assume the person new they could not get around this and they had to refund me the money they charged me for their lunch hour (more like 90 minutes at least).

Next, I contact and file a claim with AMS. It has now been 3 months going back and forth with them starting out literally offering less than $200 to repair a continuous brand new hardwood floor...They made an additional two insulting offers slightly higher after I rejected the previous, but not half of the cost to fix. Now they've stopped responding all together. I hope an executive of AMS has the fortitude to contact me to discuss (politely)

I used All My Sons Moving and Storage on Feb. 25, 2021. When I originally contacted All My Sons I was quoted a rate for 4 men and 2 trucks by Leslie. I did some comparisons and decided to utilize their services for my upcoming move. However when I called back to place my deposit and book the move, I was told that the rate I was quoted was incorrect and the actual rate was higher. After speaking to their representative Pete for some time he assured me that the 2 trucks was overkill for my size of move (2100 sq.ft.) and that 1 truck and 4 men could handle this move in 4-6 hours and was provided the rate for that, which was the same rate I was previously quoted, just not including the 2nd truck. I placed my deposit and confirmed the move for 2/18/2021.

I was told that they would send some emails with helpful packing information; how to prepare for the move and some items that they would not move. The only email I received was the receipt for my deposit. As many of you might remember Texas froze over the week Feb. 8th. Due to this they first changed my move date to the 20th to accommodate the moves that were scheduled for the prior week. But then they called back 2 days later to move my date out even further to the 25th.

During these conversations about changing my date I requested the additional email(s) that were mentioned when I booked the move, the emails were then sent to me. Some interesting items that were in the email that were not previously mentioned were the fact that they add an hour of drive time for the movers to get to and from their location to mine, that there is an additional charge for moving supplies and that there was fuel charge equal to 14% of the labor and travel charge. Even with this previously undisclosed information I continued with the set move plans.

Throughout the booking process I was told that I could be the first move of the day and that they usually start around 7-8 and then it changed to 8-10 and then to between 9-11. The movers finally arrived at 11:45 when rain had been forecast for the afternoon for the past week. The movers came in and got to work. All My Sons states that they quilt everything to protect your items, but the quilts need to be held in place by tape, shrink wrap, etc., which is all the extra charge items in the email. 4 hour into the move we are not even fully packed up yet and I am being told that the truck is not big enough and we would need to make a second trip if we wanted them to move everything.

When I called to let their office know about the situation, Chris told me that it was not uncommon for a move of my size to take 6-8 hours, double the time I was had been quoted all along the way. He said that they would take the first load over, unload it and not charge me for the travel time of the second trip. On the first load the movers simply put everything in the first several rooms, saying that is what they were told to do and that they would take to the labeled rooms and set everything up after they came back from the 2nd trip. By the time they got back and unloaded from the second trip we were at 7 hours, not counting the 2nd trip travel time. They said that they would be another 3-4 hours to move items to the proper rooms and to set the items they had disassembled back up and that anything over 8 hours was charged at time and a half.

I had them move two of the couches upstairs and in doing this they broke the handrail off the wall and put multiple holes and scratches in the walls. By this time I was done. I could not see paying almost $300 an hour to have my new house and furniture destroyed. For this experience I was charged for 7.5hr of labor, $392.00 in additional packing materials and $219.00 in fuel charges (my new house was less than 2 miles away). They literally picked up for one location and dropped off at another, and still damaged items and my house along the way. I CAN NOT and WILL NOT recommend this company to anyone!!! Before loading my belongings, one worker mentioned that on the last job they were tipped well. So when they completed my move, I too, offered a tip. However, on my bank account I noticed that $12 had been added to the tip that I gave and was listed as a fuel charge. I called the company to verify that the fuel charge was already in the original bill for the move. At no time did the gentleman inform me that I would be charged twice for the fuel used. I contacted the company and they verified that I had been charged for the fuel. This isn’t a good business move and I would not recommend them for anyone considering them for your move.

Zero stars if it was possible - incorrect estimate, missing and broken items after the move, and ended up paying double the estimate for it. Please read this review. The gentleman who we spoke to who gave us the quote and rates was very friendly. The moving crew arrived on time and they worked incredibly hard pack things up. Well, I should say unpacking things and taking things apart and then using their moving supplies to move things. They would not use my blankets because they were not "approved" and apparently there was something wrong with some of the items we used for packing because they used their own boxes. I guess the three strips of tape we used on boxes was not enough because they taped things as though they were shipping them to the moon by way of cannon.

They took meticulous details when taking apart furniture and the amount of time they used to wrap was incredible. They were really caring for my items. I was surprised at the amount of detail they put into wrapping things etc. and the number of times I was told it was company policy that their moving supplies were used. But they are the pros right? And, I told them I would talk to corporate about the amount of time it was taking and I was sure it would work out. Everything was packed and we left for the new place.

We arrived and they assured us they were behind us. Two hours later they arrived. They said they did not take lunch, or go anywhere but somehow it took them two additional hours to get to the same destination. No worries, we would talk to corporate and get it figured out when done. They got out of the truck and gave me their invoice. Wow!! The fees, time, etc. were astronomical! It was actually $600 more than what was estimated. However, I was sure we could straighten it out with corporate once they were done unloading. However, they expected payment right then. I explained that I wanted to see my belongings in my home, ensure nothing was broken, etc and talk to corporate about the price. They put me on hold with corporate.

This is when they put you on the phone with their corporate hostage negotiator. An individual who have yet to have spoken with that demands payment immediately for the entire amount they estimated or you would never see your belongings again. That includes the moving supplies, lost time, travel, estimated time to unpack (they estimated 3 hours), etc. We went back and forth. The police refused to help because it was a civil matter, and eventually you are left paying double what you expected. I was shocked that unpacking only took 45 minutes since they estimated and I had now paid for 3 hours. Plus, it took 4 to pack up. I was even more shocked when they left all the items they had taken apart unassembled. But hey, they got their money!!

Oh, and when we started to unpack were surprised by the many items, expensive items that never made it to the new place. I was allowed to make an inspection of the truck before they left and there was nothing on the truck! I now figured out why it took them so long to get to the new place. I assume they wanted to make a "stop" at either storage or the pawn shop. They have 21 complaints filed the Better Business Bureau in just 12 months! I will certainly be filing my own. More negative reviews than positive. Yes, I should have done my homework and definitely learned a lesson. But please, do not make my mistake. Learn from it. Do not walk - Run away from them!!

Their quote was about the same as the other 3 quotes I received but I chose All My Sons because of the good reviews I saw on a number of different sites. It was a good decision! The crew that moved me (Christopher ** was the crew leader) showed up on time and did a great job moving my house, They were pleasant, efficient, careful, and very professional and I would highly recommend these individuals again. The bottom of the French doors to freezer had many dents (3). The (4 and 5) bolts to the 2 dresser mirrors never recovered. (6) ALL of the glass (11 pieces in total) to my curio cabinet (from my mother-in-law) are missing. Four of the glass inserts are curved on the top and difficult to find someone to replace them. I had to take the 4 doors to Matthews - one hour away and paid to have the replacement glass sent back to me. I called Customer Service three times and he said there was nothing in the warehouse. This was an expensive move that became MORE expensive due to damaged and lost items. NO, I would NOT recommend this company.

All My Sons performed a local (.5 mile) move of my studio apartment in August 2020. Unfortunately, the move was a disaster and I never write negative reviews, but am hoping to help others avoid a similar experience - five months later I am still dealing with this mess. A little background, I had a very small move - a few pieces of furniture, TV, light fixtures, and some boxes - that I needed to transport from a local storage unit down the street to my studio apartment. I did this move once before (from the apartment to the storage unit) with another company (Bellhops) with only 2 guys assisting and the move took 2 hours. This move with AMS took THREE hours with THREE guys. They took their time, took breaks, chatted, and just didn't respect my time (or money) at all.

Moreover, I was extremely uncomfortable due to the fact that only one of the three men were wearing face masks, obviously increasing my risk of COVID exposure. Despite promising to be COVID-safe, AMS was not in the slightest. I even received a formal letter from AMS a couple days ago that my claims that the movers were not being COVID safe "are unsubstantiated and ultimately false". Not sure why they needed to formally write that to me? Nevertheless, my building's management team (and cameras), as well as two family members, were present and can verify my statement, although it's ridiculous to even get into this "he said/she said" discussion. The blatant disrespect of this company to its customers, including their health/safety during a pandemic, is all that I wish people to be aware of.

Additionally, the movers broke two of my three lamps and broke my dishes. In order to file a claim for reimbursement, I needed the receipts, which obviously are long gone since I had purchased my items a long time ago. The movers didn't care. Also - they had me sign acknowledgments of move completion/etc. on their iPad. I was essentially coerced into signing, however, because with 2 movers not wearing masks I obviously needed the guys to just get out of my apartment for my safety. I couldn't take the time to deal with the issues in-person during COVID. I just signed so they could leave ASAP.

One more thing - customer service is absolutely ridiculous. They are trained to say all the right things in the initial call, claiming that someone will check in during the move. Nobody called me during the move, as others have also shared in their reviews. In the follow-up call that I initiated after my move, the customer service agent promised to help me resolve the disappointing service. He never returned my calls.

Finally, I moved out of my apartment recently and decided to not hire movers. With just myself (female/not a weight-lifter by any means) and a friend, we managed to pack up my 500 sf studio apartment and move my things in a uHaul trailer in less than 2 hours. I would caution anyone who is considering All My Sons. I do recommend Bellhops, though, and wish they had been available when I needed them because it would have saved me quite the headache.

PS. It takes a lot for me to ever write anything publicly that could harm a business, but my experience was just so negative that I do not want anyone else to have to deal with this. For those who did have ok experiences, you are very lucky and I wish I had listened to some of the more negative reviews before hiring AMS.

If I could give negative stars, I would. This is not only the worst moving company I've ever dealt with, but probably the worst service company in general I've ever had the misfortune of hiring. My experience was along the same as the many other nightmare experiences detailed all over social media. Their hourly quote came in a little higher than the others, and I was going to go with another company, but found out at the last minute that company wouldn't move a piano. Since AMS had called and left me a message literally every day begging for my business, I called back and they said "no problem, we can move pianos." Yes, technically they can....but shame on me for not asking if they could actually move them correctly.

Fast forward to the unethical business practices of showing up and bumbling through a contract quickly off a tablet, (I was dumb enough to sign bc clock was ticking), then holding your furniture hostage with clock ticking until you sign, and then more of the same to simply get them out of your home and mitigate the risk of any further damage. The damage that incurred on nearly every piece of furniture they moved far exceeds the cost of the move. I had multiple pieces of (mostly expensive) furniture severely banged up, charged for packing materials that were not used (received a partial credit....never credited for the rest), and overcharged for a half hour (as even stated by one of the movers). Oh, and basically nothing they claim they will do (adhere to COVID practices, check in on you during the time of the move, actually send "professional" movers, blanket wrap your belongings, use the materials they charge you for) will actually happen.

The Louisville office is worthless once they have your money, and then you are pawned off to "customer care" in corporate, who is equally as crooked. I've been given two ridiculous low ball offers for the damage that doesn't even cover the $. 60/lb damage amount. I have attempted to contact corporate at a higher level to discuss, only to be blown off not once, but twice. It's a miracle this company is in business still...They should be in prison for fraud.

Estimator did his job, noted everything to be transported, contract clearly stated 4 people but only 3 showed up with a Penske truck. I questioned multiple times if that would fit all my stuff and they kept reassuring me. By 8 PM, they realized there was not enough space. They wanted to load my Precor treadmill, expensive rugs and other items in the end and they could not. They left at 8:30 without resolving the issue because their time was up and were not allowed to work more than certain hours. I had to evacuate my townhouse by the next morning but those items were still there. I called customer service and was told I had to rent another truck from them, wait for an estimator come in a couple of days and compete the process. I had to pay for the whole process again.

I begged them to at least disassemble treadmill and load all items in my SUV in the morning and they agreed. In the morning, I saw most of the space in the truck was unfilled. When I questioned that those items would easily fit if they managed the space properly, they said, the boxes gave out and they could not stack them. They used very cheap quality boxes which literally ripped from the side. When they left Newport News, it was around 11 am.

It would take 3 hours to arrive at my new home in Northern VA. When they arrived, again, left at 9 PM without assembling any of the furniture because their time was up, some heavy items still left in the garage.

I saw 2 desktop computers packed in the same box without any protective barrier. They completely broke my new computer, making it dysfunctional. Packed my daughter's latex, acrylic paint in the same giant box with all of her clothing ruining almost all of them.

    They damaged multiple furniture.

When I complained, they blamed it all on me. They could not reassemble because they were late to leave Newport News because of remaining items they had to load in the AM. I had to pay other people to get them reassembled. Now I am asking for compensation, they say it was all based on weight and willing to pay about 400 dollars. My computer screen alone is worth ~800 dollars which was purchased just a couple of months ago. I asked them to send someone to fix my furniture if they could not compensate appropriately but they would not do that. My expensive furniture worth several thousand dollars ruined. It looked like the guys were so untrained. They just pick up any random people to do the job without training. I have seen movers using thick protective clothes and items while transporting furniture and valuables but they had none of those. The manager was extremely rude and uncooperative.

Their response: "As per your transportation Bill of Lading, you maintain the valuation limit of .60/per lb/per article. Valuation was provided to you at no additional cost to your move. Valuation is not insurance, but the carrier's (AMS) prescribed limit of liability per the Department of Transportation in the event of loss or damage. Weight of the damaged item as 305 lbs. This yields 305 x .60 = $183.00 as our liability limit plus monitors in the amount of $250 for a total of $433 to resolve." So, they are compensating based on weight. I wonder if 1 gm of gold is worth same as 1 gm of cotton. They have no respect for their customers and their valuable items.

We were quoted an estimate of approximately $750 for the cost of the move from the call center a month and half to 2 months before our move. She assured us that this was probably an overestimate. We booked our move and paid a $100 deposit. Two days before our move we were called to go over all of the items that we have again. We were then told we would need 2 trucks and extra people and it would be $2200+. 3 TIMES THE QUOTE. We couldn’t cancel and go with another company because it was too late to do so. We told them we couldn’t afford that price, we would have to go with 1 truck and same number of people as we were quoted. Whatever was left we would have to move ourselves. It still ended up being over $1200. This was $500 more than what we were originally quoted, and we had no choice but to pay it.

All the other items that didn’t get onto the truck were left for my wife and I to move on our own. We had to rent a U-Haul and spend 18 hours moving the rest of our stuff. This ended up costing us an additional $180 plus gas and time. During this move, they broke a curved glass curio cabinet, 2 holiday platters, a stainless-steel toaster oven and damaged a dresser. The curio cabinet was packaged by the movers and was broken as it was being loaded onto the truck. To add insult to injury, they tried to say it was because of the heat. It was in the 70’s that day. The front glass of the curio was broke. We will have to have a custom piece of curved glass made to fix it. The other items were broken in a box because it was dropped from about 7 feet in the air. I witnessed the guy dropping it.

We spent hours researching our broken items for their ridiculously detailed claim form. Pictures, prices, weight, age, description, etc. From the research they forced us to do, we found out it was going to cost us nearly $1000 to replace the damaged items. They came back with an offer of $103 bucks! If everything is replaced, this $750 move is going to cost us somewhere in the neighborhood of $2400, time moving things ourselves, and hours researching the worthless claim form. They have avoided us and our calls. We ended up accepting the $103 claim and are moving on. I just hope this review will help other avoid this very dishonest company.

I’m thinking that they probably get a percentage and might and so slowed their work to the extreme.

They went down to the truck basically through our furniture and boxes into the driveway in the garage and took off. They did not put the bed together or anything else. I also blocked my wheelchair ramp so I couldn’t get out. One has to wonder why people would act this way. I also had put $100 also a couple weeks before that they did not deduct it from the bill. I am a spouse of an active duty deceased soldier. Moved a lot in my life as a military spouse. The Army didn't pay for this move. I've had really good moves, and not so good moves. This one, by far, was not a good move. They aren't the cheapest nor the most expensive but I paid a lot of money for a move from CO to TN. Just shy of $12,000. I also paid for a partial pack. They sent a crew of 5 to pack and load the truck. Interesting that the things I packed all made it safely but several items they packed were damaged to the point of no replacement or repair, for example, a limited edition War Pony sculpture which you can't put a price on.

The sales rep who sold me the move said everything would be bubble wrapped but that wasn't true in my case. He even showed me a picture of a loaded truck and yep everything was bubble wrapped on that truck. Mine was not. Received a call from the Dallas office 3 days before the pack and Dallas confirmed the no bubble wrap. Too late for me since I had already paid for the move.

Sales rep told me how several things would be packed and none of those items were packed in the way he described. Sales rep told me that "they" would clean up after themselves. They trashed my CO house. I cleaned up after them for 7 hours. The day of pack and load, I was told by the driver that "his boss" had challenged them to be done by a certain time. So they packed in a way to make or beat that timeline.

The day of pack the driver also told me that "his boss" wanted them to unload a day early. I had already scheduled people to be at the destination to help on the original scheduled delivery date. What was I supposed to do? They had most of my belongings on their truck at that point. I called my family members at destination, got everything switched.

So with my goods on the truck, I get hit (2 calls within minutes of each other) up with new schedule changes again which turned out to be the original schedule. Being alone and on the road to the new city what choice did I have but to agree. The movers then didn't make it in 2 days because according to them "their boss" had only scheduled them to drive 7 hours one day and 10 the next. I made it in 2 and half days, they did not.

On delivery, the guys put a few things in the right rooms but left boxes that were heavy in odd places. I asked certain boxes to be taken upstairs and they did not. There's a box on my kitchen island that's much too heavy for me to pick up. They placed a dresser in the right room but with the drawers facing the wall, I was in the garage checking off box numbers as they unloaded so I was unable to oversee what was going on inside. Common sense should dictate that drawers on a dresser face the open part of a room, not the wall. The feet on a mission bookcase in my office are torn off, one of two lamps is broken, my wooden file cabinet has a large gouge in the front of it.

Still haven't found everything and still have boxes to dig through to get to a bookcase which I asked to be placed upstairs and it's placed against the wall of the dining room behind rows of boxes. Some labeled some not. The boxes I packed and did not label at least had the right room listed on the box and once again, made it safely with no damages. Some of the boxes they packed just had things thrown into them. Have a baker's rack with stone inserts for one shelf. Those stone tiles were placed in a box one on top of the other with paper stuffed on top of the tiles, nothing underneath them or between them.

I fed the crew of 5 lunch, and I tipped the 2 who made the move to TN, my mistake. I guess it's safe to say you get what you pay for and I feel I did not although I paid A Lot of money for this move. They might be good for local and intrastate moves but certainly not for long-distance. I won't ever use them again and I won't recommend them for any move. Especially not for a single woman. I wished I had rented a truck, a Uhaul, and gone back and forth from CO to TN to move because I sure wouldn't have spent as much as I did for the "best move you'll ever have."

The crew did a fine job moving the equipment, but the company charged me $400! I spoke to several people at the local Raleigh, NC office and they both told me they would not honor the $169 because the young lady at the call center "obviously misquoted you", and "we can't honor that price". I agreed to compromise and pay $300 total. They had already taken a $100 deposit a few days earlier.

I agreed to pay $200 more for a total of $300, even though I was quoted $169 all in. The gentleman who took my card information said, "OK, you're approved, we're all set". - Remember I approved an additional $200. Today I check my bank statement and the gentleman had actually charged my card $300!!! I have been bounced around from the Raleigh Office to the home office in Texas and still no one is willing to honor the $169 or even refund me the extra $100 that the gentleman charged me yesterday. The company should have honored the $169 that the young lady offered when I first started the process of getting quotes, but I was willing to compromise and pay $300. They charged me $400 without my agreement!

I was sold a bad bill of goods! Feels like a total and complete sham! They have 1 person quote you $169 then they tell you days later that she misquoted you and they can't honor that. She is an employee of All My Sons and they should honor that. I will never use this company ever again and I will ensure that every person I know understands that that are running a total sham!

Worst movers I have ever had and as someone who has moved a lot that's saying something. We live in a small 2 bedroom apt. We packed all of our own small items. The only items they had to move were items that would normally be in 2 bedroom minus all packing and small items. No kitchen, only bedrooms and living room. A few of the big items we had shipped directly to the new place upon purchase. This should have been a 3-4 hour job max by any normal mover. So instead of a $700 move for a small 2 bedroom apartment it was a $1500. How do I know you ask anecdotally I had a relative move from a 3 bedroom HOUSE to a 4 bedroom house that was 25 miles away from each other. They had the movers pack/secure and move them for $1400.

Before I moved to this apt I moved from a 3 bedroom apt to this smaller 2 bedroom and had them move furniture and pack some boxes as well. This move took about 4 hours. On this move they they had no boxes to move or pack ONLY furniture which was like a said was for a small 2 bedroom apartment. This was supposed to be a 3 man crew. Morning of it ended up being a 2 person crew. One person was for the most part useless. So really a one person crew to move a 2 bedroom apt. So this ended up being an 8 hour move. All while damaging my furniture.

Upon completion of the move I make a call to the General Manager and discussing my dissatisfaction with the service and damage to my furniture. He assured that a claim would be filed to take care of this. It's now been a week of phones calls, emails back and forth and no progress has been made and more importantly no transparency in the process. I submitted all pictures and explanation for my dissatisfaction. I will be warning all others about this company and their business practices. Still waiting for a resolution but now it's more about the principles of their business practice.

The guy over the phone quoted a low price and the final price was something unimaginable. There was no record about the price discussed over the phone so really can’t do much after the final bill. Also the people who came to move the items were purposefully worked very slow and thus took an extra time to complete overall moving. Initially they said everything can be completed in 2 hours but they couldn’t.

They started packing/wrapping the items which won’t really required and thus wasted lot of time. Also they charged extra money for the packing which I was not informed. At the start they will take dozen of signatures on various forms which we never go through them in details. So you cannot do anything since everything was in the documents that you signed. Overall experience is very bad and I felted I was cheated by them.

DO NOT USE!!!! My husband and I have moved 12 times in the past 15 years. We have hired professional movers every time. I have never in my life seen anything like this. Metal was placed on unprotected wood furniture, (the moving blankets we provided were not used), tvs were teetering on top of items that were shoved in. We had to leave items behind because we thought there was no more room but they did not pack things efficiently. We had damage to our brand new bedroom furniture, office furniture, bar stools, brand new ping pong table and more. We reached out to them to let them know (with tons of photos you have to see to believe) and their response was that we didn't purchase insurance. We weren't asking for the thousands of dollars in damage back; just wanted to make them aware so they could spare someone else. Hire some 5 year olds in your neighborhood - they'll do a much better job.

I contacted this company to move some large furniture units I didn’t want broken. I explained this to the first person I spoke with and he assured me that they could move the items. I was contacted again to confirm the appointment and what I wanted moved. I thought everything was good but when they came to move us, they told me that they in fact, could not move the things I had wanted done in the first place! Flat pack furniture cannot be moved. I asked for clarification and they said that flat pack furniture is pressboard. I then asked why did two people tell me that what I wanted to move was ok!!?

Upon arrival I noted that there was one male who was loud and very rude and unhelpful. As a matter of fact, he used profanity laced language in front of my kids. Also used the toilet at the old house and the new one and peed all over the floor in both. He also got in my face (close talker) to tell me why they couldn’t move what they said. So I spoke with a person at the office who told me that if I wanted them to leave, I would just have to pay for the time and travel. So learning this I had them pack up my craft room, 1 heavy file cabinet, and one large flat screen tv. Oh and also some kitchen stuff. I guess they were supposed to get a break because the loud one said that I wasn’t being charged for the time. Yep, you guessed it! I was totally charged for them standing around doing nothing.

Also as they followed me to my new address they drove very slow. To get more time on the clock? I can’t verify that but I know that the final $1300 bill (after a rough quote of $400!) took into account the time they left their facility to the time they were able to unload the stuff. I was very unhappy about my bill. Very unhappy. I got $100 off my bill because I called about them. I was still so upset I talked to one of the managers and got another $100 off. I still was not happy. The manager I spoke with was nice but the way that he phrased it made it seem like I was getting more of a refund than I did. He also told me that I could have asked the crew to leave and I would not have been charged. What!? I was just so angry at that point I decided that they had a lot of practice swindling people and I just let it go.

I thought I was done with them until I got to unpacking my craft room supplies. Not only were things just thrown in boxes with very little care, my practically brand new Singer Serger was broken! Completely unusable. So I called again - sent many photos detailing the state of the machine and got shuffled around and finally got a reply about my damages. $170. I wrote back stating that was unacceptable. Of course I’ve heard nothing back. I guess the fact that I can’t replace the item for that amount means I am not a customer worthy of a response!?? Bottom line is they reel you in with perfectly reasonable quotes and then add on all kinds of “fees” to pad their invoices. And if they break your stuff they will offer you six cents on the dollar or some lowball amount. Hire at your own risk.

BUYER BEWARE. BOOK SOMEONE ELSE. We would give negative stars if that were an option. Moving is stressful enough without incompetent movers. We booked about three weeks in advance for an Oct. 3 move. Called on Oct. 1st to get time estimate, as we had received no communication. Was told that they had attempted to call (no missed calls on my phone nor voicemails) and was asked if we had any flexibility in our date, responded that we did not and was given Oct. 3 at 11am as an estimate. When no one had called or arrived by noon, we called and were told that they were running behind on their first move and it would be at least an hour before they could give us a time estimate.

Again, after not receiving any communication by 3pm, we called again to be told that they could still not provide an estimate. We asked if we could reschedule for 9am the following day, (which was definitely less than ideal for us) and was told that would work. When, at 10am on the 4th no truck arrived, nor had we received a call, we called to find out what was going on. We were again told that we could not be given a time estimate. We then canceled and ended up renting a U-Haul to move the necessary stuff ourselves.

We attempted to call later to complain and ensure a full refund of the initial deposit, and the phone rang and rang and then was disconnected. We called today and spoke with someone who was not only not apologetic claiming that the version of events described were inaccurate, but was antagonistic stating that he looked forward to reading our reviews on his lack of ability to schedule effectively, communicate at all, and have quite possibility the worst customer service we have ever experienced. It took them 30 min to back their truck into the loading dock at the apartment building and they hit the corner of the ceiling then again at the loading dock platform! They didn't know how to load the sofa onto the freight elevator, I had to tell them how. They charged for plastic they wrapped furniture in and the tape to hold it in place!!!! We hired them to move us from RI to Delaware last summer. They were supposed to be here early afternoon but said they hit traffic in NY & didn't get to Delaware until 8PM. Then they wanted us to meet them at the house so they could unload. We told them it took 6 hours to pack the truck, we anticipate it taking 6 hours to unpack & we did not want to do this until 2 in the morning. They charged us an extra $1200 for the extra day & because they had to stay in a motel overnight. They broke or stole about $15,000 worth of my things. I didn't have much jewelry but I have far less now. They took my mother's mother's ring with 10 birthstones for each of her 10 kids. They took my wedding & engagement rings. They took a diamond & emerald tennis bracelet that my brother in law gave me to remember my sister when she died.

They took apart our adjustable bed motors & couldn't put them back together. We called the company & found out they're not supposed to be taken apart. WE had to replace the motors. They seem to have made a game of smashing boxes. We downsized & had to put some things in storage while we figured where to put them in the new house. My husband left them alone at the storage unit while he ran to the bank to get cash to tip them. They smashed as much as they could & then piled up boxes in front so my husband wouldn't see them when he got back.

The company asked for a detailed list, which I provided, including photos of items they smashed (like my grandmother's Belleek tea set) and valuations from my mother's & sister's estates for the jewelry. They offered us $175. We did not accept. I filed a police report & for months they ignored the warrant to provide the names & phone numbers of the 3 guys on each end who moved us. When they finally complied ALL of them pretended they didn't speak English. Only one even had an accent & he still spoke perfect English. Avoid the heartache they put me through. On the day of the move, the company told me that everything they told me about the pricing was a "mistake", that the estimator was wrong, and they tried charging me the FULL PRICE. It had hardwood floors on first level that they had scratched extensively. They were banging furniture up and down scratching the floor and I had to tell them to stop and put a rug underneath. They scratched the hardwood landing at the top of stairs. Gouges in the door frames and had gouges on our dining room table.

When we complained, we were told to file a claim. We told them that the person that had finished the floor had stated that they would have to be refinished. It took half a day to take pictures and fill out claim form. They came back with a $300.00 offer that we accepted. Looking back, that was a mistake. We had the floors redone and that alone cost $1800. I guess they thought we would just rub shoe polish on the scratches. We had to stay at a hotel for three nights, plus we will have to replace dining room table at $2000 and will guess that the doors frames will cost $150. All total were are out $4100.00. Please do not use this company. If you have this experience, take them to small claims court. We had all the evidence and did not. Shame on us.

The worst moving experience I’ve ever had. Communication: There is none. You get a quote from a centralized call center who has no idea what they’re talking about. A local person will hit you up via text to demand a deposit (without ever mentioning they’re with AMS). Then the quote gets changed by the local person (Oh, two hours? No more like four). Any time you call back a number they call you from you’re routed to somewhere else in the US. Everyone answers “Hi this is *** and I can certainly help you” only to be transferred to somewhere else, where no one ever answers the phone.

Not on time: An afternoon move started at 7pm. On the day of my move no one ever called me until 6pm to ask if I still wanted them to do the move. I called three times that day and only received a call back by a woman in Florida who had no idea what was going on here in VA. Covid: No one followed any Covid guidelines. None of the guys wore a mask. No one had gloves. I was promised this and disgusted that it wasn’t enforced. I was told by the call center I could refuse service if the team wasn’t compliant. Apparently that wasn’t true either.

Not Professional: Once they had half my stuff into the truck, and after they dropped boxes and furniture, they finally asked me to sign the initial release paperwork. Their paperwork was for another person. They almost took my things to the wrong address. At this point I demanded to speak with someone who could clarify, they put me in touch with “Chris,” and I requested to cancel the move. At which point he said I had to talk to “Diane” who could deal with things while the team unloaded my stuff. After the call, Driver “Travis” said if I just paid them in cash he would deliver my stuff cheaper than AMS quoted. I was in a bind as I had to be out of my place, it was nearly 9pm already and they had a lot of my stuff on the truck already. I decided to do that.

I paid them half and the rest due on delivery. “Travis” then proceeded to tell me that I would get a refund on the deposit as he would talk to “Diane”. I never saw such a refund. And later I received “receipts” for services that I never signed confirming I’d pay in full. As I understand it “Travis” forged my signature onto these documents. I’m still working with my credit card company to dispute these charges.

Quality: They scratched a lot of my stuff including the walls of my new place. They hit on me and made me feel uncomfortable most of the time. But what does a woman do when four, obviously strong, men have your things and know where you live? The company obviously forgot about my move, but rather than call and communicate anything they sent four men in a Penske truck to do their dirty work. This was and is the worst experience moving I have ever had.

My experience with "All My Sons" was nothing less than a disaster. Before my move, they gave me a call and told me that it's going to be the best move of my life. This gave me a good feeling about the company but that was the only good thing that I experienced during the move. First they charge you based on the amount of time needed to move. So if their movers are taking more time for whatever reason, you will be the one paying for it. They send two younger guys for my move who had limited experience in moving. They were barely able to lift my furniture. Actually I end up helping them to lift stuff since they were struggling.

It took about 5 hours to complete the move even though the distance was less than 10 minutes and all my previous moves had been completed within 2 hours. They charged me the money for extended duration because it took longer them to move me, even though the delay was because the movers were struggling to lift my furniture. So I ended up paying more than twice as much for my move compared to my previous moves of similar magnitude and distance. In other words, they can send you less man power and then charge you more money for the delay caused by it. Stay away from them and get another reliable company.

When I chose All My Sons to move us 3 1/2 hours away I was told he would put his best people on it. I found them to be very courteous. When we arrived at our new home they they unloaded us in record time with me directing them where to put the boxes they had questions about (all boxes were marked).

Two weeks later we couldn’t find a number of things including bathroom necessities. We discovered a good number of boxes marked for rooms in the house in the garage under and behind other boxes marked garage. Four months later we got a new mattress and went to switch them out when the bed rails underneath collapsed. We discovered they didn’t screw them back in and the headboard and footboard were loose. We spent most of the day repairing it and flipping one of the twin box bases which caused a hump down the middle of the bed. It so happens that was the reason we bought a new one to start with. If you use them I strongly suggest you tell them to slow down and do it right and then watch them and make sure they do! Hopefully our loss will be your gain.

This was one of the worst moving experiences I have ever had!!!! While the guys they sent were very nice the process, the organization, and the after the move activities have been a nightmare and are still on going. The day before the move, they called me to re-schedule the time to a morning. And initially I was happy, I figured a move in the morning and we would be done by noon.

The move entailed moving things out of my storage unit which was an hour away from where I now lived and my last apartment which was two bedroom and was only 20 minutes away from me and my fiance's new apartment. So, I drove early morning to meet them at my storage unit at 8 am which was for the first stop. I arrived 10 minutes before they should have arrived and waited. 45 minutes after they should have arrived, I decided to call the movers to see what had happened. They picked up right away and told me that there was mix-up and they would need to move the time back to the afternoon. In my mind I was thinking why didn't they figure this out ahead of time and give me call so I didn't waste my morning driving an hour. I asked what the new time would be and they told me that they didn't know and would need to get back to me. I asked that they send me a heads at least two hours in advanced and they agreed.

As the day went on I didn't hear them, when it got closer to 2 pm I decided to give them a call again. They picked quickly again and said yes they would be at the first pick up spot in an hour (thanks for the heads up). So I drive out there and meet the guys. They were very friendly, but when I discussed the move they didn't have any idea of my move details, the address I was going to, that this was two pick up locations, and there were delicate items that needed to be handle with care. We got to work and it seemed they need my help to load the truck and move things out of the unit. We got done an hour or so later and I provided them the address of the next pick up location. I met them there and walked them through the items that they needed to take. The most delicate item my crystal glass coffee table purchased a month ago was the item they need to handle delicately.

As they moved things out they realized they didn't have any materials to actually move the table. So, they requested my assistance and asked if they could use my extra blankets and pillows. I said yes and allowed them to use my own linens and pillows to wrap the table hopefully safeguarding it. When they got to my place, they waited in the truck until the office called me. By this time it was 9 pm and they held me things hostage until agreed to the terms. Based approximately, 4 hours of work so far they were going to charge me until 11 pm estimated time which with the pre-established price of $149 an hour plus a host of fees I was not aware of was now $1300 dollars. I reluctantly said yes and another 15 minutes went by and they started unloading the truck.

I also had to help the movers move the items into the apartment as the two that they sent were not able to manage it all by themselves. When they got the crystal glass coffee table we had them unwrap it and found it was cracked in three places: two on the top and one on the bottom. I immediately called the company and they stated that they would initiate paperwork to help me get it reimbursed on Monday. The guys completed the move and as we were examining other items we found damage to other items including a night stand that now had a broken drawer.

When the paperwork was sent we filled it out with the items that were broken during the move. Included the receipts for all the items as they were all recently purchased with pictures. We also were instructed to provide a statement for what we were looking for which did include full reimbursement for the damaged items. We waited for a response almost 2 weeks later they sent it. For the nearly $1000 dollars of damage items (coffee table was $599 retail) they were looking to give us back $60 dollars. An unbelievable sum since at the very least the coffee table was damaged due to their negligence. We called the customer service line and got the run around, we sent emails to the person who was handling the claim on their end and received no response to date. It is has been two weeks since we tried contacting and we still have not received anything.

Moving is stressful by itself, the fact that we are still dealing with the fallout of the move is unbearable. I really wish I could go back and choose a different mover. I will never use these guys ever again and I hope that those looking for movers in the future read this and heed my warnings. Beyond the price gouging I received, they were completely unorganized, they need my help to move things, and as company seem unwilling to accept responsibility for their actions. Be warned.

I had very little furniture to move. They were suppose to show up between 7:30-9:30 am. They didn't show up till almost 2 because dispatcher said "they were tired". Scratched the front door, tore up a clothing bag. One of the movers was starting to leave boxes in a dining room chair until I asked him to set it in the floor. It took them over 5 hours, but no worry because they charged me over 900.00! I am requesting a refund in the amount of $350.00. I had to take my bed apart to put the supports in that they neglected to put in. This was my second move with them, first was great, second was the last! Customer Care rep offered me $100 over the phone, told me this could take up to 30 days to settle. $925.00 is a lot of money, I'll see what they say. Karen **

Terrible experience - do not use this company! They never showed up to my move, despite multiple prior confirmations. We scheduled a full service move, which included packing services. On the day of the move, All My Sons never communicated any issues - we assumed our move was still moving forward as expected. I had to call repeatedly to find out the status of their arrival. They kept reassuring us that they would be on the way. Finally, about six hours later, I received word that they would be unable to move us. The lack of communication was astounding. This caused us to spend an extra night in the home we were expected to move from. We incurred additional fees and struggled to find a different moving company who could move us the next day. This was by far the worst experience I've had with a moving company. Additionally, this company is way more expensive than any other company we received quotes from.

If I could a 0 I would. This was by far the worst experience. Very unprofessional. My movers were to be at my place by 0930 and did not arrive until 715pm - no one called. I had to constantly call to get updates and every time was a different story. Then when they showed up they weren't going to deliver my stuff to my destination until a different day. The movers were slow, and complained and used foul language. I had to actually step in and start taking my stuff to the truck.

Then the next day when they delivered my stuff, the price was $600 more. The one mover said, "I'll call and tell them I'm not taking anything upstairs and you can just pay us what you think is good." He told us they were refunding us $500 (well that was a Lie and my husband gave them money to move a few pieces to a bedroom). Plus my one piece of furniture was damaged (and they make you sign a waiver before they take any of your belongings off the truck stating you assume all liability.)

When my husband and I stated, "We won't sign this because how do I know if my stuff is damaged." They refused to take our stuff off without signing the document. SCAMMERS. When my husband tried to speak with the manager/owner they were rude and talked in circles. These people are just out to get your money. They know people will just agree to pay what they decide at that moment even though you were told a different price because they say they won't load your belongings and take them back which in the end will cost a whole lot more to get back. THESE PEOPLE just STEAL your MONEY and could care less. DON'T USE THESE PEOPLE.

Please read before hiring AMS. If you care about your never recovering your property please hire another co (they all price match). AMS not only lost or stole ~$15k of property, they encouraged me to commit insurance fraud, and never returned emails or calls. In 2H 2019, I used AMS to move from CLT to Arlington, VA w 2 added stops and purchased 3rd party moving ins for $1300 to cover $130k of property. Any moving ins policy requires mover-provided inventory at the point of origin. When AMS did not start this, I called the rep Scott **, who told me bc they didn't bring forms, this would be done using the inventory I emailed him.

Storage unit pick-up- I called the owner, Danny **, telling him they couldn't enter the inventory as Scott said. ** said, "I give you my word that this will be done. I will meet the guys with the truck right after they leave the storage unit and will do this tonight before they leave CLT for your move." Although not happy, he was putting "HIS WORD" on completing this, and I had to move and didn't have a choice.

Next day/stop, NO inventory. I called ** upset, he said "I guarantee I will take care of any damage, but the list will be done when they unload in Arlington". This is not what is legally required by ins cos, AND at drop off, that is only what arrives! Next am, I get a call from **, "I can't even make this up, but an animal ate through a hose and the truck broke down. I can't even make this up." Well, HE MADE IT UP. I asked about the movers about the animal. They had no idea what I was talking about and acknowledged the story was a RIDICULOUS LIE.

Finally stop/unloaded, I called again expressing anxiety that items had already been damaged and wouldn't know of others until unpacked. Again, ** gave HIS WORD he would take care of anything that was damaged or missing. He apologized and was SO EMBARRASSED this move failed to meet reasonable standards or services. I was SO appreciative that he actually acknowledged all his mistakes and was holding himself accountable for this disaster. I could "count on him" to do what was right.

Unpacking, more and more items were missing and was ~$10k the last time ** actually returned a call. By the time I accounted for all lost, it was ~$15k! I repeatedly called/emailed **, Corp claims dept, and only got one email. Krystal ** (corp claims) encouraged me to file a claim with the 3rd party policy, and when I told her that that would be INSURANCE FRAUD since EVERY moving policy requires inventory lists to take place BEFORE the transit. She then said to file a police report for theft and was so hostile. We all know that type of "customer service" rep. I said, "please do not treat me like I am someone who is trying to rip YOU off. I hired your company and trusted them to move my belongings and comply with the moving agreement, and not only did it take 4 days to do a 2 day move, I am missing thousands of dollars of property! Please put yourself in my position, and try to be respectful".

** actually apologized for her tone and email some papers to fill out. When I tried to speak to her again, because the forms didn't apply to my particular complaint, I only got an email back telling me to call the police and file a report. I continued to reach out to ** and ** for months and they did not return calls/emails. I disputed the AMS charge through my cc, and provided them w/ so much documentation, I immediately got a $5k refund.

Why did I not sue AMS/**? I did not pursue this in the courts bc when a moving co pays a claim through their internal ins, it's reported to ins credit bureaus - not so w/ some 3rd party. It impacts your ability to get new company policies or rates for 8 yrs. Since I was purchasing a new home, I weighed the losses, the cc credit and was willing to forfeit remaining reimbursement to maintain my long-term credit history. Fortunately, I can afford this even though it hurts a ton, but people who can't should be aware of this company's lack of integrity.

Booked after speaking to Nick & Chris on the phone several times. I paid a $100 deposit, went through each room and described the items that needed moved, including my husband’s set of 6 mini arcade machines, which weigh about 50 lbs. We moved 57 miles away. I was clear about this on the phone and was told there would be a $65 fuel charge. I was also advised that mattresses would have to be put in a “bed bag,” and that any TVs needed to be either in the manufacturer’s original packaging, or the movers would wrap them. Ok fine, sounds good. At NO TIME did anyone mention extra charges, outside of the hourly rate with 2 hour minimum, fuel charge, and that the drive time would count toward the hourly charge, both ways, which I had expected. The 2 hour minimum would be taken up by the drive time anyway.

I spoke to Chris the day before over the charges & procedure again, AGAIN went thru the house noting each item that needed moving, so again I mentioned the arcade machines. The quote remained the same. The morning of the move, the 3 movers showed up on time, and I started explaining what items were going on the truck and what was staying behind. For example, we got a new couch for the new house, so they didn’t need to move, certain tables, and some shelves and other various items that were staying behind. They said they understood, then went to their truck to get started.

I then went upstairs and got back to work, there was a lot of cleaning to do, laundry to be run and so forth. Washer &dryer weren’t going on the moving truck. I’ve had movers in the past and they just went to work, I certainly didn’t need to supervise them. The foreman came back inside and husband took him to the basement and showed him his weight bench and weights, which again, I had told Chris & Nick about twice.

Nearly an hour goes by, and nothing is happening, and I was still upstairs working away. My husband called out to get me downstairs and I came down to find the foreman standing at the front door with him. I asked him what’s the problem, because they hadn’t done anything yet and they’re charging $144 an hour. Foreman says “my boss is trying to call you.”

So I call Chris, their boss, and he says immediately, “My crew is not touching those arcade machines.” I’m confused, and he says they’re disassembled and they’re not going to take them. He also says that according to the foreman “these people are not ready to move.” He had told his boss we were still packing! I was like are you kidding me, I spent hours yesterday hauling about 50 boxes and a large curio to the new home. There were about 20 boxes left that didn’t fit, and as I mentioned, and I was cleaning and organizing things- I was certainly not packing. Anything that was going was right there, ready to go! But he says they can’t move us. Just point blank; “you’re not ready to move.” And the movers LEFT.

By the way, the arcade machines WERE disassembled. They are mini arcade machines! So they sit on stands. My husband *had* disassembled then from their stands, which made them even lighter to carry. That’s all the disassembly required. These are replicas; not actual heavy machines, as I’d told Chris twice and again when the movers were actually there.

I was pretty hysterical, really feeling ** over, but my husband told me that while he was showing his weights to the foreman, the dude had also been telling him that oh that “bed bag” business for the mattresses? There’s an extra charge for that. And there’s an extra charge to wrap the TVs. And something about an additional 14% mileage charge. What happened to the $65 fuel rate they’d specifically mentioned? Twice? Again, no mention of extra charges, for the TVs, mattresses, ever. Then I thought, ok, something is wrong. Meanwhile, Chris had said he was going to try to arrange a different crew and would call me back in the afternoon. While this was going on, I read the reviews of the company. I hadn’t done that to begin with, so shame on me.

Luckily, I was able to find another local moving company who were able to accommodate us the next day. (We are moved in and they had no problem with the arcade machines, or anything else.) I called Chris back and told him to not to bother looking for another crew. I also asked if my deposit was refundable, and he said no, not within 48 hours. I understand the policy, but in this case it was the movers who peaced out on *me*, not the other way around, so I really think keeping my deposit was not a very ethical business practice.

I honestly don’t know if these guys just didn’t feel like working that day or what. It was 92 degrees out, I didn’t particularly enjoy moving either, but something strange was definitely going on. Considering all the mystery charges they started rattling off, I believe it was a blessing in disguise that I did not end up using this company. I don’t normally bother leaving negative reviews, ever. However, this was particularly sketchy in my opinion and I hope others will read reviews before hiring this company.

I hired All My Sons for loading up 2 containers I was having shipped. There were 3 separate issues. 1) The quote I was given stated hourly rates, packing supplies and a fuel charge. When they gave me the invoice on leaving my house the Fuel charge had been increased by 11X. I called and stated that didn't match what I had been told as I was not using their truck and there was no fuel to be used. The person on the phone said it was a general charge that covered insurance and other costs. I went back and found the quote and sent it to both the local office and the corporate office and showed where the charge was clearly stated and that I expected a return of the overage. No response was received.

    2) The team estimated the time they would need for packing and sent the invoice for signature. Upon leaving (which was a 1/2 earlier than estimated) the person in charge confirmed they would be refunding the over charged amount. When I had not received a credit on my account I sent an email to both the local and corporate offices - no response.

    3) This is the worst. I paid the team to load and pack my containers. During the time they were packing I had to remind them several times to place the hardware for assembly of the furniture (screws/bolts/nuts) with the piece of furniture so that upon arrival it would be able to be assembled. When they left, I went through the house and found 3 separate places where half the hardware was left on the floor. I have moved several times in the last few years - each time the crews have wrapped all my furniture pieces and while there have been minor scrapes nothing major.

When I looked in the containers - the majority of my wood furniture was not wrapped in blankets to protect it (I have photos I shared), bed pieces were thrown on top of each other with no cushion in between, 600 lb stone table was placed on top of fragile wood pieces and NOTHING was secured. In addition, they had ripped the weather-stripping off of the solid front wood door, leaving holes and damage and said NOTHING about doing it. It was repairable but something that they should have acknowledged they did.

When my furniture arrived 1.5 weeks later the crew whom was unpacking it opened the containers and the first question they asked me was if I packed it myself. When I responded no, they were shocked that a moving company had packed that way and at the number of items that were not wrapped and thrown into the container.

I carefully photographed the containers before they were unloaded and as each items damage was evident, took a picture. All the pieces that were not wrapped had deep gouges and scratches on them. One piece had a door broken in half, my box spring had a rip down the middle and piece of frames were missing. My upholstered furniture had tears in it, the bed that had the heavy table on it had a split base. In total 2 beds, a bench, a dresser, shelves, a nightstand, 1 desk, 1 couch and an entertainment center were deeply scratched.

I wanted to be reasonable in my request for damages for the furniture so for the worst of the scratches I asked a repair place what it would cost to repair. I did not ask for full replacement and for some of the items (such as the box spring, or the back of the bunkbed where the broken piece could not be seen) where I could live with the damage I didn't ask. The full estimate for repairing the damage was under $2000.

The response I received was that while they were apologetic for the inconvenience they didn't think their team's horrible packing job had resulted in the damage and offered a small amount for that. Their stance was it could have been caused by the shipping of the containers from one place to another. This is why I sent pictures so they could clearly see that the furniture was literally thrown in the container and not properly wrapped. Had it been properly wrapped and secured it would not have been damaged by the slight movement of shipping.

I've worked with 5 different movers in the last 6 years and have never seen such shoddy workmanship. There were more than enough blankets to properly wrap my items and the price of this company was higher than some of the others. It was EXTREMELY disappointing to see such a poor quality job and to not see the company take accountability for their actions.

In my 23 years of military service, I averaged moving every three years so the comments I am making about All My Sons Moving & Storage (referred to as AMS throughout) reflect the fact that this move was not my first rodeo. I contracted with AMS to move me in June 2019, from my home in Lakeway to a storage unit in Lakeway because I was building a new house which would take 9 months to complete. I packed most of my belongings. AMS packed the fine china, the Waterford crystal, and the silver plated flatware service for 12. My goods were stored in two climate controlled CubeSmart units. My own lock was on each unit, and I had the only key.

I closed on my new house in March 2020 and hired another company to move my goods from storage to my new house. While unpacking my belongings, I noticed several issues. My washing machine had been sealed shut with shrink wrap for 9 months. The mold and mildew which grew and destroyed the washing machine door gasket required replacement by a repairman. Three crystal glasses had been broken. All of my silver plated flatware was missing.

When I filed a claim with AMS, I received the following reply, "All claims must be filed and received within 90 days of the move date. The move date of 06/12/2019 requires that we have been notified and received the claims form by 09/10/2019. All My Sons Moving is not responsible for any damages in storage after the moving crew has left the delivery site. Respectfully, your claim has been denied, for length of time and liability dropping when AMS crew members leave the storage unit. We trust you understand our position in this matter." He's right. Now I understand why AMS has an average rating of less than 2 stars. I hope this review persuades everyone who reads it to look somewhere else for a mover.

I spoke with Melissa and I expressed explicitly my desire for professional movers & desired price point. I informed her of an awesome experience I had in 2016 (unfortunately, this company is no longer in business) & she assured me that she would try her best to meet my price expectations. I told her, I would still need to read the reviews for AMS, before making a decision. She stated that the bad reviews were prior to the management change & she persuaded me by offering a $100 off my total price. Convinced; I agreed.

Now to the billing, AMS charge a fuel charge, was $130. Travel time charge is flat fee of $109. $52 materials charge. WELL ABOVE quoted price of under $400. With those fees alone, there was NO way to meet my requested price point. For a total of $836 (that’s including the $100 discount). It was later discovered that AMS broke my second 55inch tv. One truck, one time, DONE! The movers were very friendly and nice. I was concerned during the coronavirus that it might delay my moving plans, but it did not. Yes, you get charged for some extra packing material, but have you ever moved not using these things? The extra packing material ensures nothing gets unnecessarily scratched or damaged.

I've had so much stuff scratched from me moving it in my cars. These guys prevented all of that. I was surprised at the amount of stuff I put in boxes that came out of the house. I can see how a quote might be lower because you wind up moving more than you realize, but I was initially quoted a little higher and the final price wasn't as much. I can't complain. This made the move from one house to another so easy as everything was set up in my new house by lunch (aside from unpacking boxes but we color coded the masking tape so the right boxes are in the right rooms). This was totally worth the money. I will absolutely use these guys again. Especially if you're dealing with a piano, use them!

I actually saw the tall dark complected guy LOOK INTO ONE OF MY MOVING BOXES but he was so intimidating that I was afraid to confront him. I had a lot of broken and damaged items after my move was complete. The driver Chris sat in the truck and smoked and talked on the phone at times however he is a very hard worker! The two younger guys with him are useless and should be fired. The tall dark one used curse words and actually told me not to question him. The other young guy boasted of carrying a weapon!!!! Very scary experience, I would NEVER recommend or use this company again!

I selected All My Sons as I had a back injury and was physically unable to do any packing or lifting. I was told there would be a discount if I was able to pack anything myself, so I had friends who assisted with packing some boxes. No credit was given for the packed items. The movers did not properly protect furniture or electronics. Wardrobe boxes were promised for all clothes, but only a few were used. The only boxes labeled were from the kitchen. NONE of the other boxes were labeled as to the room packed even though there is a place to check right on the box. Each box had to be opened to determine where it should be put in the new house. My son was overseas in Japan, so we stored the boxes from his room until he returned. Unfortunately we found out several months later that all of his gaming systems had been stolen. I would NOT recommend this company.

Then hours to get to new location when it was only a 1 hour drive. UNLOADING DISASTER! REFUSED TO UNLOAD TRUCK unless we paid in full ahead of time! When we questioned SEVERE OVERCHARGES they threatened to leave with all our furniture still in their truck unless we paid it! We paid them in full

EXTREMELY RECKLESS! Tossed items off truck to ground. Banged up furniture & walls & floors! We asked them to be more careful and they became obnoxious & ignored us. They were RUDE, SURLY, & ARGUMENTATIVE. Then with HALF our belongings STILL on the truck, they DECIDED TO QUIT FOR THE DAY & tried to leave with our things! POLICE had to be called! There was a huge scene out front and finally they were made to bring the rest of our belongings inside. They kept sneering h making ugly comments to us as they spent the next hour just DUMPING & PILING everything in one room! They refused to carry the furniture into the rooms it belonged.

Later on we found they had actually SABOTAGED our items by deliberately pouring our cleaning supplies all over inside the packed boxes! And we discovered they STOLE some of our more valuable items! THIEVES! The head mover was covered in prison tattoos & definitely did not get rehabilitated in jail. He was VILE. This company is a joke! I first called for my son and was told I had to pay a $100 deposit (which I’ve never done but ok) so I tell him I will have to ask my son if this pricing of $144 per hour will work. He starts telling me they are like airlines and the price might go up if I call back. So I said okay if it does I will go with another company ( I should have)!

My guys get there on time and they show up and one reeks of weed and alcohol at 8:45am. The movers were good guys though but my son's furniture is broke and they admitted they did it. One was a $600 piece and they said they will only pay .60 pound which adds up to $12.00 for a brand new piece of furniture. Then I’m paying an hourly fee for one of them to put my son's bed back together and they lost the parts. So I call Tyler who is a TERRIBLE businessman, rude and Greedy. I ask for half of my $1400 fees for moving a small apartment to be returned and he does nothing but tell me to have my son sleep on the floor and his handyman will fix it tomorrow!

They will not unload your stuff until you pay the balance even if you don’t like the price! I was never told about a $156 gas bill on top of the hour transportation fee to go 5 miles down the road, then charged $119 to use supplies to “protect” my stuff which normal movers do for free! Please, please, please do not use this company as I should have read the reviews first. They say they are the official mover of the Miami Dolphins. Don’t fall for that one. They just paid enough money for that title.

I'm a working professional in the Business world who cannot give more than ONE star rating to this company. While scheduling was good with an exact date and window of time (2/24/20) and they had called two times to confirm the day/time prior to the move, from there it went all downhill. The day of the move (24th), I waited for hours. They were a "no-show". I had called once mid-afternoon concerned about their lateness, and made another call later in the afternoon as I had been told on the first call that they would arrive at 4pm in the afternoon.

That said, in order to avoid horrendous traffic, I drove across the City back to the old location and waited. Again, they did not show. Upon calling once again they gave reasons that their trucks were in two opposite sides of town and would have to put-off the move until the next day (the 25th). What? They definitely overbooked! — or, this company just does not care. The fact that I had to call THEM several times and didn't receive a truthful answer 'til it was too late with night approaching, is disgraceful for a company who's supposed to be service-oriented.

As just mentioned, I was forced to call them. They did not call or inform me of any changes in the delivery. I have to wonder how much longer I would've been waiting in the parking lot of the first location if it weren't for me making the call. Considering that by having to adjust my pre-planned schedule in order to take off another day of work, at my own expense, and subsequently miss two important business meetings was beyond bad —but to add insult to injury, my family member's medicines, caregiving, and scheduling were also negatively affected due to these Movers not following through as originally scheduled with the delivery of needed furniture items arriving at the new caregiving facility on the 24th.

I don't normally give reviews at all. But, in this case, if I can save one other future person or family from a repeat of this performance, I believe it's well worth my time. I would've have expected an apology from their manager with at very least an offer of a discount for THEIR obvious mistake, customer inconvenience and total lack of just simple Respect. Bottom line: The fact that they did not call me in advance of their BIG delay is bad business and ethically wrong for a service-oriented company.

The main mover had a horrible attitude and at the end while there was still 15 minutes left was in a rush to leave instead of attaching the sofas or do the last minute heave work that I couldn't do. He still took off 5 minutes early, sat in his truck and left when the time was up. I noticed the next day that one of the boxes that was placed at the bottom of the stack was opened and missing items. I texted the owner with a picture of the box and this is what he said "I'm not sure what the box looked like before and it doesn't look like a box we packed". We scheduled for them to come between 8am-10am Sunday to help us move furniture into our 1-bedroom Apartment. Sunday morning they called to say their driver called out and they wouldn't be able to come at the agreed upon time. They finally got 2 movers to our apartment over 7 hours later, with a 26-foot moving truck to move furniture for a 1 bedroom apartment. They packed up the furniture from the first apartment, and then drove to New Haven, where they sat in their truck for over an hour and did nothing because they couldn't find a place to park their 26-foot truck.

After an hour of sitting around doing nothing, they called to tell us that they could do nothing more, we had to pay full price (including the hour of them sitting in their truck), and wouldn't unload our furniture until we paid. They then unloaded our furniture onto the curb, less than a block from our apartment, and drove off. We called back today to see if they would do anything to reconcile the situation and they would do nothing to help. Their slogan is "Let our Family Move Yours." At no point did we feel like family or that we were treated that way. Do not use this service as they do nothing to problem solve, don't hold up their end of the deal, and still charge full price when they fail.

First off, I would like to mention that this company is extremely misleading. They charged me a $100 deposit initially, which is fine. Though the price breakdown before my move in date was outrageously expensive for a relatively small amount of items, enough to fill a tiny studio apartment. I have moved around from Los Angeles, Orange County and back to Denver and this is the most unnecessarily expensive moving company I have encountered. Nonsense. They try to make it seem as if you're getting a discount by continuously mentioning a $50 coupon which is redundant by the time you're paying over $400 for less than 15 boxes. And they want to charge you for tape and a bunch of other mess. Find a place that isn't trying to rip you off.

The final cost wasn’t presented until after the job was completed. When this discrepancy was discussed with the Denver office, no compromise could be reached. In fact, I was threatened with them bringing in the Sheriff so they could remove my property, put it in storage, and charge me a $200 per day fee. This is completely unacceptable behavior on their part. I cannot recommend these creeps. I believe that I have been lied to and robbed. I was most definitely threatened. I’m considering legal action. The only reason I gave 2 stars (1 for each mover) where there would have been none, the movers were fine, I'd packed majority of my own thing, there were certain things I later on decided for them to take along since they were doing such a great job, a television and 3 pictures were added for things they had to pack, I did not like the fact of them not making me aware that when they pack your tv, they do not have one main box for televisions, they break down however many boxes it takes to cover the television, which I was charged for each box, not for one television box but multiple boxes, which I did not want to get into using their material. They did not tell me this until the bill was relayed. A 3 1/2 hour move was $600.00, this was ridiculous.

I will never use this company again. The charges that were added afterwards that was never explained beforehand was crazy. I got charged for labor in addition to the $109.00 and hour that I was already paying for which is labor. I will never again nor refer anyone here. The packers were fast. Here is my experience with ALL MY SONS Moving.

1st phase: Phone conversation: I gave them a call to get a moving quote. I informed them that I needed a quote with Packing and Moving – Full service along with a second pickup stop at the storage unit to pickup balance stuff and unloading at our house. All three stops are within 10 miles of each other. I also confirmed that their quote needs to include disassembly of furniture at the apartment, assembly of the furniture at the house. I requested that add whatever to assemble the stored furniture as well. They responded that They cannot give me an accurate moving quote without looking at everything that needs packing. We set up an appointment for the estimator to stop by at our apartment and give us a quote.

2nd phase: estimate and quote: The estimator came home. We walked the whole apartment together, Opened every closet, cupboard, kitchen cabinets, vessels, asked if we have anything heavy in the apartment or storage unit, noted the heavy items on the list. Then I showed him the boxes we already had in storage, and he promised to use our boxes and add the kitchen boxes (He specified that they will have different type of boxes that have additional thickness to protect our kitchenware along with wardrobe boxes to all our clothes can remain hanging).

Went ahead to tell me that they are an all employee company, every employee goes through a 1 week paid training on packing and moving. They will protect our floors and door frames at both locations throughout the house before they start the move and unloading. Received a quote from them the day after, after comparing it with 3 other quotes I received for very similar amounts I decided to go ahead to use ALL MY SONS since I met this person and they are an All employee company. I received follow-up calls and email from them after that till the day of the move.

3rd Phase: The day of the Move. 4 good gentlemen showed up to start the move. Protected the entry door and put down some runners to protect the entrance. We signed all the required documents to start the move. Then the lead foremen told us, they did not know anything about packing; they were told everything will be packed and ready to move. They did not bring any packing material with them. We clarified things with the office, that there was some miscommunication at their end, so there was little waiting around, talking the phone and figuring our alternate solutions to keep going. They started the packing with OUR moving boxes. Their management showed up an hour later with a few more boxes to pack and a few wardrobe boxes. Here on out are all the things that went wrong.

    1. There were not sufficient packing boxes.
    2. The wardrobe boxes did not have rod in them, so the clothes were folded into them.
    3. Our kitchenware was packed into wardrobe boxes due to lack of appropriate material.
    4. Items were left behind since they ran out of boxes. (We were informed of this after they stood around discussing the plan of action for some time)
    5. UNPROFESSIONAL PACKING.
    a. An unsealed plastic oil container was thrown onto the box of silverware and knifes resulting in a leak.
    b. The leak was ignored and the oily box was placed in the van on top of other boxes with clothes, spreading the oil to other boxes.
    c. All smaller kitchen items were just thrown into a box to save space with no protection.

    6. It took them close to 5 Hours to pack and load a 2 bedroom apartment.

4th phase: Storage unit. Reached the storage unit to realize they have not left enough space in the truck to pick up items from truck. They had to unload the whole truck and reload it back to fill the truck more efficiently to make space for items from the storage unit. They dropped boxes in the storage unit (yet to assess the damage). Completely damaged (beyond repair) cloth wardrobes while trying to move them. It took them 4 + hours to load a fully packed- half full 10 X 30 storage unit.

5th phase: Unloading at the house. Now at the of the day, I do sympathize the mover were extremely tired. There was no protection put on the house floors are frame etc. during the move. At this time the management called us to demanded payment for the estimate amount plus 40% or the item will not be uploaded. We had to spend time with the operational Manager and his boss trying to understand the huge jump in the price mostly caused by the increase in labor hours due to all their inefficiencies. The amount for packing material was twice the amount as estimated (despite of using our boxes). They gave us a $100 discount, we has no choice but to pay this inflated price to keep things moving.

At the end of the call, we were informed that they are going to be charging us labor for their men for the time we spent trying to understand the price increase and they have 2.5 hours left on the clock to unload and they will charge us any time they go over. End of the day, we had no furniture assembled. Forget the stuff from the storage unit, not even the furniture they disassembles at the house. I had to call them 3 time to get the final invoice receipt from them.

We were quoted a price that sounded very reasonable (had received 2 other quotes previously that were both slightly higher), so I paid the $100 deposit. The day before pick up, I was emailed a confirmation along with several things saying they will start charging us $144/hr in 15-min increments and was told (over the phone) will arrive at 9am. So on the day of pick up I started recording when they arrived, when they exited the truck, when they started working, etc.

Day of pick up. They started out being late. 9am came and went and after several attempts to contact them, I finally succeeded only to be told that the GPS shows they were 15 minutes from my house. Four min. later I receive a call from one of the guys ON the truck saying they are giving me a courtesy call and that they had to stop at Dunkin' Donuts for breakfast and use the restroom and are 40-45 min. from my house and that they would arrive at 10am. At approx. 10:03 they showed up. Five full minutes went by (10:08 now) before they exited the truck. Two of the guys immediately got in the back of the truck and started horsing around (all while billing us in 15-min increments). They literally threw all of our belongings on the back of their truck (26'... which is MORE than ample for moving a 3-bed/2-bath single-story house).

For starters they left 7-vehicles-full worth of belongings (one being a minivan and another a full-size pick-up truck (not very small vehicles)) at the house because they couldn't fit anything else. By the time they left we had one hour before house buyer was doing a final walk-through (we had everything packed ourselves - all they had to do was put it and the furniture on the truck) to get the remaining items somewhere which ended up being in several friends' garages (based on space) for 2 days. They needed to store our belongings on the truck for two days which is when we were closing on our new house.

The next day, I was emailed a bill that included a total bill minus deposit and what was left owed. They tacked on an extra $550+- to the quote. The following morning (day of delivery), they were to arrive between 8:30-9am (set up at time of pick up two days earlier, but was told the day between that they never set up a time for delivery and that the office manager (which turns out to be the only other person in their "office") was conveniently out-of-state at a conference, but was settled that they would be there by 9am after having to reschedule our house closing due to their incompetence). At 11:19 am, they still had not arrived and so began a barrage of phone calls... again.

At 12:38pm they finally arrived to unload. They opened the back of the truck to reveal a HORROR SHOW. Before getting into that though the "office manager" calls and says (in as rude and condescending of a voice as he could muster) says we have 5 min. to pay the bill or he's having his guys lock up the truck and drive away. Fine, I go to pay the bill only to be yelled at over the phone that he had not sent us the bill yet (mind you, the day before I was emailed the bill with total due) and that he was working on it right now. He sends the bill to his guys, refusing to send it to me and I had to take a photo of the (broken) tablet screen with as much of the bill showing as I could and revealed that he had tacked on yet another approx. $300. They proceeded to unload the horror show.

Dinette table with granite top... crushed. ALL legs broken off, granite top snapped in half only held on by the hardware from the base. Antique extending drop-leaf table - whole base crushed - legs on 2 of 3 of the bases broken off and 3rd base cracked all the way up to the tabletop. Antique dresser- one drawer face broken in thirds and placed in other drawers to hide it. Marble stone desktop inlay snapped in half plus smaller pieces. Spokes on bike tires snapped in half. The list goes on and on. We got estimates for what could be repaired and what would need to be replaced (stone can not be repaired of course) came out to just shy of $5k as well as the obscure mark-up in the bill (that they refused to send me) came out to a total loss of just shy of $6k.

I was very excited to use this company at first because someone actually came out to my house to do a walk-thru and give me a more accurate quote. I asked for two quotes: one just to move the big items and a second to move everything (with me boxing the stuff). Got my quotes, seemed reasonable and asked to go with the move everything option.

I was moving from a 1 story 1917 sq foot home to a two story 2048 sq foot home. They said they'd arrive between 8 and 9 and with 3 guys. They came closer to 9 and only had 2 men. The quote hadn't been updated in the system so they refused to move the boxes at first. Called the office and got them to say yes move everything. They loaded up the truck and didn't get to the new location (and with only part of my items) until 3 PM! I ended up having to help carry things up the stairs myself and when they left, two of my kids' beds weren't even put together (it took them until 8 PM to unload).

Then, they went back to get my fridge, kitchen table, washer and dryer and some wall art. I get a call from the office saying their guys are now off the clock and I had to wait until the next morning to get the rest of my things. The office then says they are going to charge "per the contract" the extra 10% over the bid because of all the extra hours the men put in... Well you only sent 2 guys not the 3 you contracted. They did waive the extra 10%, but did nothing else to compensate me for this very UNPROFESSIONAL move. I also have scratched walls in my stairwell of my brand new home and my king bed frame is nicked and scratched as well. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone, unfortunately.

Let me start this review by letting you know that everything you are about to read is a 100% true story about my disastrous experience with All My Sons moving company. I chose this company because of their guarantee of great customer service and care for your property. I had nice communications with Jason ** setting up the move, and he was more than happy to talk to me when I was giving them my credit card to leave the deposit.

Then moving day arrived. The movers showed up promptly at 9am (good sign), unfortunately they wreaked of ** (bad sign). Before they do anything, the leader of the pot heads tells me that I should call the company and cancel the move, and that they will come back with their own truck and do it for cheaper. I tell them that I don’t feel comfortable with that, so they get started. We immediately noticed how slowly they were moving. The office had told us the move out would take about 4 hours. It already seemed unlikely, based on their lack of urgency (remember the weed).

About 2 hours into the move we hear glass shatter upstairs. They had broken the chandelier in the upstairs hallway. I then had to stop what I was doing, go to their hardware store, buy and install a new chandelier. Fast forward to 3:30. 6 ½ into the move!!! They inform us that the truck is full and they can’t fit anything else in, while we still have about 25% of our stuff still in the house. I then have to take them to the new house to unload just enough stuff so that we can fit in the rest of our things from the old house. And of course when they show up at the new house they are freshly stoned again. By the time everything was finally loaded it was 6pm. Our move out had taken 9 hours for a 4 bedroom house!!!

Day 2. The movers arrive promptly again, but informed us that their manager was demanding payment in full before they would take anything off the truck. My wife spoke with someone named Keith, and explained that she thought it was ridiculous to demand payment before the job was done, but agreed to pay. I will just fast forward to the end of this day, and list all of our property that they damaged during the move in. (I have pictures for all of it in case you think I’m exaggerating.) Major holes and damage in drywall throughout the house. (Need a painter for that.) Parts ripped off of our dining room table. Leather headboard to bed with multiple rips (Unfixable). The front of my child’s desk was ripped off. All of our beds were put together improperly with many screws missing. Our bed frame uses 10 screws to secure it. They only put back in 2!!! Not kidding. All of our outside furniture was left in a pile by the back gate.

When all was said and done, the movers caused over $6000 in damage to our property. The worst part was when I reached out to Jason ** (The guy who was happy to take my money) to tell him what happened, he never even got back to me. My wife spoke with Keith again and he just told her to fill out a claim form, and submit it to their claims department. Yes, this happens so often with their company that they have a whole claims department. We filled out the form, and submitted all of our pictures, and after 30 days of waiting, they finally got back to us with an offer of $176. So after we paid them $3000 for the move, and they caused $6000 in damage they offer us $176. Wow!!!

So I say to you All My Sons Moving Company, keep your $176. My hope is that you will need it when people read this review and decide to get their moving services elsewhere. Moving is one of the most stressful things you do in your life, and your company made it so much worse. You violated our family, and should be ashamed of yourselves for doing absolutely nothing to make it right. You company is awful. I will also be reaching out to the authorities to let them know to be on the lookout for All My Sons moving trucks, as their drivers are probably stoned. To anyone reading this review, please do yourself a favor and find a different moving company.

The 1-star rating I am giving this moving company was the lowest I had to choose from. If available I would have given them a negative rating. The sad truth is this was the worst experience of my life in dealing with any so-called "professional" business. Over and over again they were not on time, and not just by a few minutes either. One morning, after they didn't even pick up all of my items the night before, they were supposed to be at our house at 08:30, and they didn't show up until 12:04! And this is but one example of their incompetence! Then, on top of it all, the next day when they were supposed to bring our items to our new home, we had someone waiting on them to show up and they never did! When I called them asking about our items they told me that they had sent their guys home and nobody would be delivering our items until the next day. Turns out the movers lied and told them a different time that was never even mentioned.

I could go on and on with additional details about this horrific experience but I'll just surmise it with this. Upon opening our boxes (once they were eventually delivered) we began to find item after item that was broken to pieces. They literally destroyed an entire bookcase, broke legs off of furniture, destroyed priceless glass items, broke Christmas decorations, shattered multiple items, etc etc.

If it ended there this story would be bad enough, but one additional detail is VERY important. Do NOT trust that the quote they give you is the price you will pay! After giving me a quote for $1,398.00 and charging my C/C for that amount, when they arrived to deliver my goods they then tried to extort another $1,250.00 from me and they refused to unload the trucks until I paid them more money!!! Of course, I refused and it turned into a nasty argument, and I had to demand to speak to a supervisor before it could be negotiated down to a more reasonable amount. But the fact of the matter is - DO NOT believe the amount they say it's going to be. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy, much less any one I cared about. Take my advice and steer clear of this company.

If I could rate lower than 1 star I would. I will never make this mistake again and I will warn everyone I know to avoid this company. In September I was fortunate enough to sell my house after only a week on the market but unfortunately my new home would not be ready for at least another 30-60 days. All of my belongings would need to go into a storage unit for the next 2 months and I would have to live in an extended stay temporarily.

The move started out "ok" for the most part. The crew was 3 young guys; on time, courteous, and friendly. When they arrived, I showed them through my home and highlighted my most valued/irreplaceable item so they would know to take special care of it. The crew got to work and started taping the furniture. Cardboard was used to protect glass doors and then the items were wrapped in the moving blankets. No complaints thus far. When they started to load the mattresses, I asked about mattress bags that I had requested over the phone and was quoted. No mattress bags were on the truck available to use.

Because I would be living in a hotel, I could only take limited necessary items so many of the dressers still contained clothing. In previous experience movers like to remove the drawers when moving the item and then replace them when loaded to help reduce the weight. This didn't happen as entire dressers were wrapped in plastic and then furniture blankets. The guys seemed to be able to manage them with no problems so I let it go. However I did observe that they were set down on a side vs. upright and even one was upside down. Several of the dressers are 60+ years old and have decorative wood trim on three sides as was the style back in the day. This would not make the top a flat even surface, but items were placed on that end nonetheless.

The truck was finally loaded about 2 pm. I offered that it would be a good time to break for lunch and then we could meet up at the storage unit location (less than 5 minutes away) for the unload. At this time one of the crew members indicated they were fine to keep going while another commented that they didn't have any money for lunch. I had already withdrawn the cash for their tip so in my generous spirit I offered to give it to them early so they could have lunch.

An hour later they met me at the storage unit location and the unload began. One of the first items they unloaded was one of those over the toilet bathroom storage cabinets. Two of the legs had broken off during the drive and one of the crew was trying to tape them on with the packing tape. It wasn't working and I wasn't going to use something taped so I just told him not to bother trying to fix it any more.

At one point I noticed my upside down dresser set on one of the loading carts outside the storage unit. I did not see when it was placed into the unit as I was going back and forth between the unit and the truck and to make sure the door was open. The storage facility was a secure facility and a code had to be used to open the doors unless the motion sensor inside was triggered.

When they reached the "attic" portion of the truck where most of the boxes were located, I heard a commotion as apparently a stack of boxes fell on one of the crew and to the floor of the truck. As the boxes were loaded onto the hand truck I noticed boxes marked fragile upside down or small boxes stacked under larger heavier ones. So the unit was filled with space to spare and we reviewed the bill. I was credited for the cost of the mattress pads that never were used.

Fast forward two months to moving day and unloading the storage unit. Thankfully I trusted my gut and went with a different company I had used before. As we unloaded the storage unit we discovered dressers stored on top of others and also upside down. I filed a claim with AMS and it has been denied claiming they aren't responsible once their truck and crew left the storage facility.

On April 17, 2019, All My Sons Moving & Storage sent an individual to my home to do a review prior to the move. It was agreed and confirmed that we needed 5 experienced moving men and 2 trucks, due to the size and weight of large furniture items and 2 story house. I was told all items would be properly wrapped and packed by 5 "professional/experienced movers" with appropriate packing materials and padding/wrapping on 2 trucks. Estimated cost was $3,343.

On April 29, 2019 they sent 3 very young, inexperienced young men and 1 young woman. (est. age 18 - 20.) They wrapped very little of the furniture and they were not experienced to move the heavy items. As example they wrapped 6 large glass shelves together in nothing but shrink wrap. Nothing in-between the shelves or over them - only shrink wrapped. Large, solid wood cabinets and armories had no wrapping or padding at all. Some items again, ONLY shrink wrap. The young women even cried about mid-point of the process and said, "this is too much".

On May 13, 2019, I filed the claim, the claim form reads that they will come out and evaluate the damage. It requests the weight and value of each damaged item. I am not an experienced mover and only put in rough guesses of weight as it states that someone will come review the damage. I sent pictures with the claim. On June 17, 2019, I received a letter from "All My Sons Moving and Storage, LLC ("AMS")" offering $567. It also indicates that they would ONLY pay based on weight.

This is not an acceptable value. Had I known that they expected the consumer to know that actual weight of each piece of furniture and there would be NO regard for value, I would have selected a different company. Moreover, I would expect the company to review the claim form to confirm actual weights based upon their experience. I feel that I have been completely taken advantage of and AMS completely misrepresented their services. I have tried to contact them upon 4 separate occasions. Each e-mail included 4 individuals at All My Sons Moving & Storage. They have been completely unresponsive.

Since this was a local in state move, I believed him. The results were horrible! They didn't use a ramp, they had very little equipment so most of the things they moved was by heavy lift. They lost the hardware to our beds, they crushed the casing of our piano, dented our refrigerators, dented our new washing machine, scarred our formal dining room hutch, table and chairs. Large gouges and scars on all bookcases, furniture and TVs. The crew took well into the night to finish. The damage was well into the thousands of dollars and their insurance just offered me $500.00 and said I only have 90 days until the offer expires. I'll share picture if anyone wants to see them! I have moved about 10 times in my life for business and the last 2 moves were personal. Due to some changes with the last company I used (changed to cash only) I did some research and came across All My Sons. I scheduled a estimate. A representative came to my home. We walked through the house to itemize my items. It was organized and I advised I was renting a small U-Haul to move my own personal items such as clothing and shoes and other fragile items home items. Once he completed his estimate, we sat down and the very first question was how they would pack my expensive mattresses? He pulled out a binder showing me glossy photos of how they would be pack with a mattress cover in addition to padding and stretch wrap. We then showed me how they are imbedded into the community with pink trucks, etc. Well I feel really DUPED!

Before my move, I was contacted to confirm my move and advised the total I was given was just an "estimate". This is where the games start. I told them the price was the price and I was not going to be hijacked to pay more at the end of the move. I had moved a majority of my own things, I had professionally packed a vast amount of the items in my house so what was left was the large furniture and home accessories (mirrors and pictures, etc.). I was told I had the first move of the day, 8:00 or 9:00. The next call was to say my window was now 8-10:00. The truck did not show up until 11:00 which means I lost several hours of daylight and would be unpacking in the dark which I wanted to avoid plus rain was expected in the late evening. The movers consisted of 4 20 year old's. All with ear buds in their ears. They started to load the truck and even commented on how it was easy because of all the work I did to prepare.

This is where it all went HORRIBLY WRONG! While I was doing other things, I expected them to know what they were doing without me babysitting them. Once the truck was loaded, we headed out to the new location. Now it's 3:30 and traffic will be at it's worst. When we reached my new home, it was dark and as I feared rain drops were coming down. Something shifted with them, maybe tired because I bought them lunch. They were unorganized and thought they would just drop boxes in the garage. Thank goodness I had help on my side so they could be directed to take the boxes to the appropriate locations which were clearly marked on each box along with the word FRAGILE. I saw my mattress leaning against the wall with multiple areas of black dirt on the corners.

I then realized they did not put them in the mattress cover or even padding, just some stretch wrap which moved off the mattress when it was getting pushed around the truck. There was not one piece of furniture that was not scratched, dented or broken due to the horrific packing they did of these items. Expensive mirror's were placed in boxes without any padding or wrapping along with fragile paintings. My frames were scratched or the canvas was scratched after again shoving 5-6 pictures in a box with nothing wrapped around them. My iron bakers rack has multiple scratches in the iron, my home office desk has a huge chuck of the wood broken out of it. I could go on and on with the damage.

The most heart breaking was a custom picture which was ripped in two places and the response I received after I voiced my complaint about the carelessness of their packing was "this is why we don't like to take fragile things" WHAT "PROFESSIONAL" moving staff or company would utter such words. This will be the first time I have to now take time to file a claim which will in no way cover the loss and heartache I feel of my home items being destroyed. I won't get into how badly the walls were damaged at the previous home while moving out. I had to pay my contractor extra to patch up their mess which is why my furniture looked as it did.

As I continue to open boxes, I find more and more damaged and/or broken items. Some which I cannot replace again. I am at this time strongly feeling I am missing some boxes as I am not able to find my items which I know were packed by me and should have all been together as they were marked for the same location.

I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT USING THIS COMPANY unless you want all of your things ruined or a bunch of kids moving you! They lull you in with the great words, the binder, their community work and even the follow-up phone call to state they hope they proved they can have the business and then to thank you because at the end of the day, it was all a BIG LIE! And I the customer now must bear the responsibility and feel the loss of my home items being destroyed by careless children who All My Sons try to pass off as professional movers! And they were not CHEAP! Which is even more devastating. When you pay over 2100. you expect a certain amount of expertise and care with your home valuables and more distressing is that I tipped them and then found all the damage to my furniture and home accessories. WORST MOVE AND COMPANY!

However, we notice IMMEDIATELY that a brand new luxury air mattress, in an unopened box was missing (we need it to sleep on that night).

I called the next morning to ask if anything was left on the truck and they said no. I began to look through every single box and quickly realized our brand new Kitchen Aid convection toaster oven was missing, and three cases of 120 blu ray and 3D movies were gone!!! God knows what else. The company denied it. I filed a police report and they still denied it and the manager was a jerk. We went through their claims department process only to be offered a weak $390 (their second and final offer) which didn’t even cover the damages, not to mention all of the stolen items. Their offer was insulting. We filed a law suit and the company was served, today makes 30 days and they have not responded.
