I had a move in September of 2015. I had used the company as I recall a number of years ago, and it was ok back then. This time was just the opposite. I thought it would be fine when I scheduled with them, but within the time their mover arrived it slowly worsened. I had planned for a 9 am arrival to be prepared. They showed up an hour early and thank god I was ready for them. From here it got bad. They send 3 men whom really did not wait for instruction from me on what I wanted moved and how. I have some nice high-end furniture and stereo/T.V. units so I wanted to guide them. Before I could really do that the 2 other movers were moving things to the other unit. I did not need them to load onto a truck, since this was a move to a new condo unit in the same complex.
To keep this brief, they tried to move my grandfather clock without asking me if it needed to have things taken out. Well, a number of things came falling out. I remained calm, but we continued to move it and I was able to pick up the parts and move them myself. Then another mover started moving my collection of compact discs in holders. But he stacked them onto a 2 wheeler I provided and dropped a number of cases onto the cement walkway outside. I about had a fit at that point, but remained calm. They continued to move things and were rushing for whatever reason, I did not know since I was paying them hourly. So they continued to rush, they left a number of larger items in my other complex. I had to ask then if they would finish moving the items. They moved some but left a number of things. The 2 wheeler was mine that I had provided. It was not even their own.
Finally throughout the move the mover in charge kept telling me it would be customary to tip them by cash or check. I told him I would see if I could tip them on the bill at the end of the move. He said the company did not do that. So I told them I would contact the main office since I had no cash and was not about to write a check in that fashion. At this point I had no intention of tipping with the poor service that provided. In a nutshell, they refused to move some of the smaller items I had in the other unit. I was told they only move the "big stuff" even though I was being charged by the hour. Pathetic and poor is what I describe my moving experience. I would never recommend then because of the poor service of the 3 movers I had.

They quoted four hours for three men for an in-town move and required payment in advance. Then, sent only two men on the morning of the move. Do the math: three men for four hours is 12 total hours of work, so if they sent only two men, then I should have been entitled to six hours, not four, but after three hours and 45 minutes, when they had the loaded truck parked at the new place, their office called and told me that they would not unload until I paid for more time. I objected and was told that they were billing by the hour, including the time that the truck sat, so the longer I complained the more it would cost me. When I got to their office to pay, I was told by the person at the front desk that they could "pretty much do whatever we want because we have all of your stuff."
Then while I was standing at the reception window with my credit card in my hand, one of the bigger guys came out the door and stood next to me, as if trying to intimidate me. When I continued to complain about the service, he grabbed my credit card from me, but I grabbed it back before he could take it through the door. This was witnessed by a third party, and I should have let him take the card and then called the police, but I didn't think of it at the time. They are liars, thugs and thieves. We also paid for packing and they charged for boxes and packing paper. When we unpacked, we found that the boxes had been over-packed with paper so that we probably paid for twice as much paper and twice as many boxes as we actually needed. Overall, I figure that the move cost 50% more than it should have.

Thieves – Bandits - Thugs. On May 2015, I hired All My Sons (Raleigh, NC) for long distance moving - North Carolina to Florida. The estimated cost was $4,900.00. I paid $980.00 in advance (20% of the cost) with a balance of $3,920.00 to be paid upon delivery of the household goods. On June 12 - the truck was loaded by two adults and two very young boys (perhaps under age), the delivery date was set for June 16. Only the two adults (the driver and his assistant) showed up at my door on June 16 to unload the truck.
Once all the household goods were unloaded the driver called on his cell phone All My Sons headquarters. He was still talking to headquarter when he wrote the amount of $3,090.00 on the credit card payment slip. He hung up the phone and using a portable credit card reader processed my credit card for that amount. He handled me the customer copy slip then said that instead of $3,920.00 he was charging $3,090.00 - a discount of $830.00.
When I received my credit card bill it reflected a charge of $3,920.00 instead of the expected $3,090.00 - I immediately called All My Sons and talked to the estimator. I explained to him what took place on the delivery day and his response was that the drivers are not authorized to do that. I told him that the receipt I have on hands tells a different story and therefore, I will be contacting my credit card customer services to dispute the charges. His response was that he will address the issue to the management and will call me back.
I disputed the charges through my credit card customer service but All My Sons using as backdrop the contract agreement and conveniently changing the amount on their original receipt from $3,090.00 to $3,920.00 by just writing over the numbers refused to accept responsibility. Neither did I receive a call back from All My Sons during the process.
In addition to the fiasco with the credit card charges - after I finally finished unpacking I realized that several boxes containing valuable and irreplaceable items were missing. I can understand losses during the moving process caused by broken or damaged items, but there shall not be room for losses by missing/stolen items. I know one thing all that was loaded on the truck in NC did not make it to Florida.
All My Sons action strikes me unethical. An employee represents the company they work for both in and out of their workplace. If an employee of a company I have hired to do a job offers me a discount, who am I as a customer to judge whether he/she is or is not authorized for such actions? However, it is the company responsibility to ensure people they hire have passed background checks and are trustworthy to represent, and bear the name or the company logos.

My brand new $799 dresser damaged. Carelessly broke loose the front leg in the front decorative panel. Put me in contact with a "furniture repairman" who came out and my toolbox is bigger! Acted like he fixed it and set it back down. Looked exactly the way you did before. I showed him the quarter inch difference on either end with the board was broken and he said he would fix it. He proceeds to take it apart again and then put longer screws in which pop through the front decorative plating. Now it looks worse than you did when you got here. I called Patrick the Manager who will not give you the name or phone number of the owner. Patrick says he will submit it for insurance and it will pay $.60 per pound. I asked how he knows the weight of the dresser. He said the insurance averages it out probably about 40 pounds. The rip off artists are going to give me $24 for $799 dresser I just bought at American signature furniture!!! How do we stop these people!

I scheduled the move. The day before the move they confirmed and told me I needed a three man crew, up went the price. All I had was two rooms of furniture. They charged me 2xs what they quoted. They damaged items and some came up missing. Beware! They make you jump through hoops to get compensation for damages. I'm just writing them off. My two nephews moved me in there without any damages or missing items. I would never recommend them to anyone! My friend moved the same week. She hired a company that charged her less than half what I paid. And she had 3xs the furniture. Shame on them!!!!

Contracted for an intracity move... 15 miles. Feel I paid WAY too much ($2000.00) considering the fact that they left several items off the truck that I will have to move myself. Workers hinted often about their 'tip'. I bought them lunch, tipped all 3 of them, gave one of them a dinette set, and then got excuses and smart ass remarks when I protested regarding a damaged $2500 Table that was important to me and told them from the get-go to be very careful of. It cannot be repaired. The company now is sending me a "claim form" to fill out. The most I can hope to recover is $0.60 a pound for a $2500 table that weighs 150 lbs (that's $90.00). Take my advice... Hire ANYONE else and insure anything important or expensive because they will damage it.
That's not even to mention the glass shelf from my china cabinet they broke (and lied about), the scrapes on the corners of my desk, the stuff they left at the other house, or the time the 'fudged' on the final bill. I got charged (a lot) for every box, minute, mile and minor detail it was possible to charge for so my stuff could be damaged or left. Will move myself before I EVER call these guys again. Went out of my way to create this account so I can give them as many bad reviews as possible. Will search for other venues so I can get the word out that this moving company is a joke.

All My Sons provided me with the worst moving experience of my life (out of 20+ moves). In the beginning they seemed to be decent people. But they lost or destroyed way too many of my things to justify the ridiculous amount they charged me to move from Milwaukee to Phoenix. They insisted on delivering after 8pm, probably knowing I would be tired and less likely to think about taking pictures of the damage. The driver offered to take my completely destroyed dining room table along with a couple of broken lamps back to show the damage to the company. He also offered to take pictures of the damage and email them to me. He lied about that and I could not contact him later. As I unpacked I found many boxes with half the contents broken. I have never had to file a claim with a moving company before but I did this time. I had receipts for the table and other things that were lost or broken.
The company claimed I was only entitled to $90 but they were feeling generous so they offered $250. If I accepted their money I would have to agree to never say a bad thing about them. I told them it was worth more than $250 to share my story and hopefully save someone else from the same mistake I made. Unfortunately I had to move in a hurry to accommodate new renters so I didn't take the time to check out All My Sons. To this day they have never given me a detailed bill so I am sure I paid too much. They refused to deliver my load until it was convenient for them. I tried to work with them but I am sorry I did. They do not care about their customers, only the money. Don't hire them.

We used them 2 times, previous. We had a good experience. Now a 3rd time was not a charm. They damaged several pieces, came unprepared, didn't pack the truck properly, had me in the middle of administration and driver squabble, and treated me with total disrespect. A guy by the name of Matt from Florida just spoke with total inappropriate attitude. He was obnoxious and rude as hell. He lied to the driver about comments he stated I made, which I didn't. Customer relations meant nothing to him.
They moved us into the place we just moved into about 4 months prior. They showed with the same truck to move us out, however, didn't get it all in one trip. Then as we left to the new place to move in, they call and said we're not coming. We can't let the crew work beyond time. No offer of new crew, just stick us up nowhere to stay and no clothes. My wife is not healthy and two pets. Great Job! Then some phony phone call that would clear all and what happens next... Lies. He said any expenses you incur, we will pay. So here is the rub.
Next day they show and we unload, and then go back for the rest, and before we get it off loaded... You're right, they charge me more. Guess how much... The same amount I gave receipts for my expenses for the night. I am going to pursue this further through politics - it's the only way they listen. And then they will say "Why didn't you just call us?" Right. I gave the first crew off the bone lunch at 65 dollars. I gave the second crew lunch at 50. And then, 400 dollars tip to split 4 ways. I couldn't blame them but after unpacking, regret it all. What a shame. Broken items from our past that can't be replaced, furniture destroyed, and more.

The company in its whole is pretty good. The sales team is trained to do what they are trained in (getting customers and collecting commissions). Follow-up etc. is NOT there. My move consisted of a move, including storage (3 months), and final move to new home. The salesperson suggested EXTRA insurance, as there were many valuable antiques. I can sort of understand some possible breakage (since there were 3 moves), but when damage occurs here lies the "go-a-round".
Sales tells you one thing, top sales manager tells you one thing, corporate tells you something else, and final insurance company tells you totally something different. Insurance company tells me that "a claim MUST be filed within 45 days," and "you should have read the fine print and fully understood the contract before you signed and sent money." It is very difficult to open, inspect and fully examine a whole house move within 45 days!!! Sales tells me 6-9 months and "you were supposed to read the fine print of the contract." Sales manager confirmed that 6-9 months is very usual. NOT in my case. Damages, broken articles, etc carry a limit based on weight.
Well NO weight was ever given to me, they just guess (how do you weigh a baby grand piano, or glassware etc). No one came to inspect, took many weeks for people to get back to me, and then said it was too late to file a claim. Upper corporate management dragged their feet, and came up with a very small figure to compensate us. I guess I could have fought it, BUT it is their job (as well as the insurance company) to DENY, DENY, DENY having to pay out funds. The company and salesperson came highly recommended, BUT I still feel that this huge company should have done more!!! MY OPINION IS STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM ALL MY SONS MOVING AND STORAGE IN FLORIDA. TAKE HEED, STAY AWAY… P.S. I submitted photos, etc about 3 times for them to inspect damages (still have them).

It took 14 hours for 4 people to move us one city block. George ** was the person that gave us a quote. He totally underestimated the move so it was understaffed to begin with. He also was underestimated the cost of the move. As their staff got tired they got sloppy and started to damage many pieces and just put things in the garage starting at about 10:00PM because they were so tired which meant we had to double move things. They are not standing behind the damages even though they came out twice and admitted to their wrong doing.
We moved on July 1st and today, September 17th they came up with a final settlement amount of $794.50 which only scratches the surface of the damages that admitted to causing. Do yourself a favor and do not buy into their sweet talking estimators and the low price they throw out there. Also ask all movers what insurance would cost. These people did nothing of the sort. We have moved at least 12 times over the years and everyone offers insurance options - NOT ALL MY SONS. Stay away from them.

I hired All MY SONS Moving & Storage of SW Florida to move my furniture out of storage from my previous residence in Fort Myers into storage at All MY SONS storage facility and from the facility to my new residence in Naples. On top of the insurance provided I took out additional insurance from an insurance company recommended by All My Sons Mr. R. **. I paid $300 for this additional insurance. Pick up was supposed to take 3-4 hours. Movers arrived early in the morning and left at 7 PM in the evening. Until 3 o'clock not more than 2 items were put into the moving truck.
On the day of delivery I was told the furniture will arrive after 1:00 o'clock. The furniture arrived late in the evening - it was already dark. The movers already exhausted delivered my content completely trashed. Boxes were completely pressed in including the content and furniture punched in, something unrepairable. Damage in the amount of over $ 2,800. I just received a response from the insurance with a settlement offer of $110 and the following statement, "For and on behalf of US Specialty Insurance Company, in reviewing the facts of the loss, the mover's documents and the terms and conditions of the certificate of insurance we will settle this claim per the attached. Please carefully and thoroughly review the attached letter for complete details." This is a settlement offer from an insurance company recommended by All MY SONS giving me a settlement offer after reviewing the mover’s documents - very questionable practice.
I truly thought that I paid the insurance company the insurance premium of $300, not ALL MY Sons. I refused settlement at $110 and demanded replacement and repair cost from All MY Sons in the amount of $2,873 plus $300 I paid to insure company to protect my content, which turns out to be more an agreement between insurance company and ALL MY Sons, than a protection plan for me.

The moving experience passed me off to the point that if I could move everything myself I would of. The movers were scheduled to come on Saturday but they didn't show up until the next day, and my mug from prom was broken during the move and the key chain that came with it that I've had some 2010. And I was never compensated for it and the pillar of my canopy bed was broken as well - thank god I have a warranty. The maximum price for the whole move was 600 dollars but due to the fact that we had a lot of stuff for a 1 bedroom apt and they didn't move that fast. They charged me 950 dollars and if we didn't pay they wouldn't take my belongings off the truck. I was suppose to receive a call to talk to the management but they would not answer the phone and just avoided the whole situation. Altogether, the lack of professionalism alone made me wish I called Two Men and a Truck.

I see there are several people who have given them 1 star already for services. I would recommend never even contacting them. I did not use their service, but contacted for an estimate once. From that point a Drew called anywhere from 2 to 4 times every day. I had advised I would be in contact once I was ready and move confirmed. After several weeks of ignoring the calls and messages I blocked their number on my phone. You would think that might be a clue, but no, he proceeded to email me multiple times a day. Based on other reviews, BBB complaints and my experience NEVER CONTACT THEM AT ALL!

I had about 6 pieces of large furniture including two large mirrors to move. I explained to booker that they were heavy pieces. He said not to worry, his two guys were strong and had the proper equipment for the move. Since this furniture had been moved 3 previous times with no issues, I opted not to insure. The two guys he sent: one guy was smaller and weaker than me, the other guy had a sneaker with a flapping sole. They did not have proper equipment. My son had to add his strength, expertise and equipment. 2 more guys were sent. They broke a 3' x 5' mirror that is mounted on a brass frame that attaches to bureau (was already removed to make their job easier). It was not boxed or wrapped for transport. There is more, but I just say "Stay away".

Up front oh they are this little guy and want to be your friend and help relieve all your stress. WRONG! They end up 'screwing' you up so bad. Brad was especially obnoxious. For example, when the second crew couldn't get all of my household in the truck (that was loaded up the day before) from the storage unit, I had to help out by agreeing to put most of the pictures/mirrors in my car which was loaded to the hilt with 23 years worth of memories. We bubble-wrapped everything ourselves to save money, but they charged me almost 90.00 for tape to close some boxes. Then at the storage unit they still couldn't fit my kitchen table and 4 chairs into the truck (again same size truck as the day before) and a 10 x 12 rug. I had to leave them and tell the storage clerk I would be back before end date of month which was on a Monday. My husband had to borrow a truck and get them on Sunday.
When I called to complain and ask for some retribution Brad said "no one asked him to do that." SERIOUSLY, they didn't offer to go back and get them the next day, so we had to. AND he says that! Guess I was suppose to forfeit them to the storage facility. Brad said he would take off the tape, but I told him that my husband and his brother's time going back to the storage facility on a Sunday was worth the same rate for the hour that All My Sons charged me for the hour at $159.
The crew the day before was good and told me to call the office and request them again as the fit was tight and another crew might not know how it was done to fit all. I did and talked to Mike who said, "no problem." But the next day it was a problem 'cause they didn't send the same crew. Hence the problem with the fit in the truck. Can't prove it but a pouch in my purse was missing with $150 in cash, and the case was found behind some items thrown into some shelving. When I told Brad he said while the guys are mostly honest ('cause he is a good judge of character) many were from the prison here in RI. I never got an official quote as Brad said it was done by corporate and that is not the same as when the actual move is made in RI 'cause now I had to deal with them. Brad called to let me know when the time frame was on the original move and just ran over the items and times.
The next morning I realized that the time was way too early as we would not have closed on the new home by then so couldn't move in. He got very angry and said he couldn't make me the second move of the day and that I would have to pay now for two moves: one into a storage facility on the first day overnight (which I had to rent) and then another move the next day from the facility into my home. When they unloaded the truck I had a big tear in my upholstered chair, several scratches in a table, a broken lamp and some scratches on the laundry machines. SOOOO guess what I had to pay to move my household goods/furniture DOUBLE the price quoted as he considered it a separate move. I asked for him to please switch and he refused.
THIS is one of the worst companies I have ever had to deal with. STAY AWAY, AND IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME CHECK OUT THE OTHER BAD REVIEWS; I AM NOT ALONE ON THIS WARNING.

They were horrible. Taped everything like cords to lamps, iron board even though it locks when closed etc to just run the time up. Wrapped plastic around everything even though we told them not to and to ask us before they did that because they want to charge you so much money, a hundred bucks per roll. Things were broken. We have a poker table that has discs for the cups and all of them are spread all over the place, they didn't manage to tape those on. Go figure.
Things that you boxed up in one room were found in another room because they didn't have enough time to take it all. Which means they were moving things from room to room instead of moving them out into the truck. They brought along a 10-year-old kid to help. They were rude after they had got all of our stuff into the trailer then they threatened to keep it unless you pay them an outrageous fee that's over the price quote. They charge you for all the plastic wrap you tell them not to use. Made my move a freaking nightmare.

Words are almost too inadequate to express our complete and utter anger and disgust with our experience on August 29, 2015, with All My Sons Moving & Storage in St. Paul. Their employees were absolutely irresponsible and thoroughly unprofessional. We had arranged to have All My Sons Moving & Storage Co. move our son from his home in St. Paul to another home in White Bear Lake, approximately 7 miles away. We were told the movers would arrive between noon and 3 p.m. When no one had appeared by 3:30 p.m., we called the phone number we had used before multiple times! Only to receive a recording.
When we eventually reached a live operator, we were told they would check with a dispatcher and get back to us. No one called us back. So we called again and again and again, continuing to be put on hold. Finally, we connected with the dispatcher, who said the crew was on its way. When the truck finally arrived at 4 p.m., three men got out and went into the house. They quickly came out and said there was too much stuff for three people to move, and that they needed more help, and a bigger truck. They returned to the truck, presumably to call in some extra helpers. When the spokesman for the group returned, he told us the other two employees were tired from working earlier that day, and didn't want to work any additional hours.
He returned to the truck and back to us a number of times to continue explaining. We got the definite feeling he was waiting for us to offer additional cash to encourage the other employees. The upshot of it was that they just didn't want to do the work. AND THEY DIDN'T DO THE WORK! Before they drove away, the spokesperson PROMISED he would be back at 7 a.m. the next day, Sunday, with his own crew of friends to accomplish the move. But no one showed up Sunday. Not at 7 a.m., not at 8 a.m., not at anytime!
Beyond creating a very inconvenient situation for my son, we are absolutely appalled by this extreme lack of responsibility and professionalism. We certainly will never call All My Sons again, and we will do our best to dissuade anyone we know from doing business with such a disreputable organization. We are also notifying the Minnesota Better Business Bureau and the Minnesota Attorney Generals Office about the way the company conducts its business.

All My Son's Moving Company should be ashamed of themselves and how they conduct business. They took a 2 bdrm apt move and turned it into a 7 1/2 hr job; the move was only 300 yards away. The movers were nice but took 4 1/2 to load and only 1 1/2 to unload and charged me for an hour of travel. I ended up paying close to $1200 which was more than what the move was worth. In addition, once you call and confront them about the hidden charges deny, deny, deny! I would never use this company or recommend them for anyone to use in the future because they would tend to rip them off just as they did me. Shame on you!!! They argue and got mad at each other so the not so long moved turned into 9 til 3 along with me helping them move boxes that I had packed prior and had all lined up and out to go.
Once they finally that great price went from 700 to over 1200 with them refusing to take my furniture off until I gave them monies. With that being said I called and complained getting back my gas money. Only this move was by far my Worst!!! Never again. DO YOU WANT CRIMINALS IN YOUR HOME? They immediately knocked an expensive picture off the wall and broke it. Early in the move my wife noticed a firearm missing. It was her personal gun she had placed in an unsealed box in the kitchen. A little later my wife noticed the box with the gun was gone. Although they were wrapping and moving furniture, when asked, for some reason the move foreman had taped the box containing the gun up and put it on the truck. When questioned, he brought the box back in but the tape had been torn open and mysteriously the gun was gone.
The Allen Police were called and Sergeant ** responded to the call. When the All My Son's foreman was sent back out to look in the truck again, the gun was found in a plastic hamper. Very strange how the gun moved itself from the box my wife had put it in! Sergeant ** suggested the gun be sent for fingerprinting. Although no solid prints were found, in our opinion it was pretty obvious what was going on. Sergeant ** did arrest the All My Son's Move foreman and his helper on the spot for outstanding arrest warrants! A crime is a crime! Do you want criminals in your house (the owner's response was they were only traffic warrants!)?

I was told over the phone that someone will call me on Saturday to give me the correct time of arrival on Sunday. No one never called. I had to call them on Sunday. When I spoke with a guy name Ian he said they had to do another stop and they was going to call me when they was on their way. They came to my house at 3 and ended at 4 pm. They didn't even have the address to the storage place but the man "supposedly" looked up the address while he gave me a quote.
We arrived at the storage place approx 4:07. They didn't even finish unloading my belongings and they wrote on the order form end time 5:15 pm. It only took an hour to load everything, why would it take another hour and fifteen minutes to unload it in one storage unit? I asked them how should I pay - they said "My cashiers check money order or debit credit cards." I didn't have the funds in that amount because I took out the max at my bank. No one never told me what forms of payment they took. That's horrible business. They said they wasn't going to take any of my belongings down until I paid in full!
They ended up taking my furniture back to their storage unit and charged me an extra 75 for storage fee. My total came up to 689.00. My quote on the paper was 587.00 with the additional gas and travel time charge. Then on top of that, I don't have an order form. The paperwork they gave me had someone name and address and contact information. They marked out the person info and they told me that the reason why my information isn't on the form is because they was told at the last minute about my move! This company by far is the absolute worst. I'm going to file a civil suit against them. I wouldn't use them if they was the last moving company on the earth. No professionalism, lack of communication, false advertisement!!!

I will never use your company again and I have told everyone I know the same. I was a repeat customer using your company and the way I was treated was ridiculous. I was scheduled to get movers at 11 am. I was ready to go and by 11:45 I call just to be told they were running late, okay no problem. I was told they would be there by 2:45-3:00 at the latest. They didn't even show up till after 6 pm. And then I was sent "not a fresh crew" words from the dispatch office due to the fact they had been working all day. Unacceptable. It took them forever and taking 45 mins to take apart a bed is outrageous. They took my dresser down the stairs literally by somersaulting it down the stairs. Thank god I didn't have anything of importance in the drawers. I only have a one bedroom apartment worth of stuff and it took them over 6 hours to move it.
I was quoted 3-4 hours and $347 total. So I was a little surprised when I was told $762.55! It was late and the lady wanted me to pay before they finished. By the time they finished they told me I owed them another $144.79. Why I asked... because I used an extra hour they said. If it wouldn't have taken them over 45mins to take my bed apart that wouldn't have gone over. Then they charge another fuel surcharge for the extra hour? WHY? The truck was sitting out front OFF. How is that using fuel? I was livid and still am. They did not leave till nearly 1am. And it cost me over $900! For crappy service. It did not even cost me that much to move from Orlando to Tampa. This was a local move this time. I have never had a worst experience than this move. I would love to actually speak to the owner of this crappy company and let them know how they lost the respect and loyalty of a former customer.

Do not use them, especially when you talk to the Owner, Steve. We talked about a price and when it was time to pay he didn't tell me about an 18% and about an extra hour charge. He was so nice when he called that I actually changed to them. BIG MISTAKE. When I called to talk about this he practically insulted me and told me he has been in the business 25 years and that he told me, he never told me. I wish the conversation was recorded. NEVER use them. The guys that work for this company are awesome. Pity they have to pay for bad customer service from the owner.

I felt that the movers were highly motivated by the fact that the longer the move took, the more they would get paid. I made this same move in reverse 2 years ago and it was 150% more using this company. I called to complain about it and was told that rates are higher than 2 years ago but 150% higher is ridiculous. The person I spoke to also said it was easier to move furniture upstairs than to go downstairs and guess what, this move was taking furniture upstairs, whereas the other move was taking furniture downstairs. I really feel taken advantage of.

I contracted with All My Sons Movers out of Raleigh North Carolina to move my furniture from North Carolina to our home in Virginia. During the move one of the movers went through our drawers of furniture until he found a Breitling Watch valued at 5000.00. He then pawned the watch in Raleigh NC. Fortunately the Pawn Broker contacted Police and I had filed a Police Report. The watch was recovered by the Guilford County Sheriff's Office and returned to me. However two boxes of misc. merchandise was also missing including silverware.
The moving company was completely rude to me in handling this issue. They stated that none of their employee's would do such a thing, but when caught never offered even an apology. If you don't want thieves in your house during a move please look elsewhere for a mover. They also got into a loud profanity induced argument at my home in Va. for at least 15 minutes. The help they hire and use is of very questionable character.

They pulled up and said I had to pay them then $903.00??? They refused to off load my items and threatened me with storage. They charged my card and billed me for 2 additional hours. The team told me that their pay checks are always short, "this happens all the time," that they have to make people pay in advance because they get angered about their charges. They told me they tried to charge an elderly woman for 2 hours the week before when their truck broke down. Tried to charge her for the time it took them to get a new truck. The move took 12 hours total and the movers were told by their manager that they had to be gone by a certain time. Once the deadline time arrived or shortly thereafter, the movers left without properly finishing the job. Boxes and furniture were left in hallways as opposed to their proper place and neither of my three beds were put together! I'm left with boxes where my bed should be simply because the movers had to be gone by a certain time. I paid an incredible amount of money for this company to properly move me to my new home only for them to leave me with a job that's unfinished. Way to go All My Sons... They move the people they charged the most first and they keep you waiting and when they finally show up and my friends and I moved all the heavy stuff because they showed up 5 hours late. They now refuse to refund my deposit. Scott was so nice booking and taking your credit card number but when I called him for my refund he yelled and hung up on me. We had used All My Sons movers previously for our move from Buffalo, Tx to Houston, Tx in December 2012. That move went very well. Movers were professional and very careful, so when we were moving again in July 2015 from our house to storage, we called All My Sons. This time the move was horrible. Very unprofessional and a couple of items were damaged that I saw and pointed. They denied they had broken a wooden trash can lid when I had just moved it from the kitchen to dining room to make it easier for them and it wasn't broken. An antique chocolate table was never wrapped although they told me that would wrap it in the truck. I am dreading unpacking my items because I do not know what else I may find broken. Was only quoted an hourly rate, then tacked on fuel charges etc. I only moved about 5 miles and cost over $1400.00. Wish I had read the reviews first.

So disappointed in these guys. If I could give half a star I would because they didn't break everything. We moved on July 23rd and set this up more than three weeks in advance. They called a week out and said that they were super busy and needed a deposit. We did give them a deposit and confirmed that we wanted them there by noon day of and they gave us a 12-4 window. The day of the move 4:30 rolls around - no movers no phone calls. We had to call them to see what was going on. Around 5 three guys show up at my place, do a walk through and then proceed to sit in the truck doing NOTHING for nearly 30 min (yes they charged me for that time) telling me that someone took the tape off their truck and I had a lot that needed to be taped. Ok... I think I over taped but I agreed and went on about cleaning. Turns out they needed it to over tape more and they charge me $38 for the tape that they used.
They FINALLY start moving things and the movers were nice enough - all sweet guys but freaking infuriating. I had to follow them around making sure that they got everything and even had to stop them from leaving to ASK AGAIN if they were going to get some items I had pointed out 20 times already. Turns out they left a lot more than I thought AND left it outside or in a back room when we left so it wasn't in eye site... My husband and I had to rent two UHauls to finish the move ourselves.
Same day we had a second pick up and my husband met them there while I went to the new house. We discovered there that they hadn't packed the truck well - KNOWING what we had and what was at the second pick up too... Didn't pack to the top, threw things in on top of other furniture - not good. When they were unloading we got griped at because they took something upstairs and I asked them to move it down - um I'm paying you to do a job that you aren't even doing all that well so don't gripe at me. They also talked smack about the horrible person they worked for that morning and how hard their day was... Yea I know. I've been moving my own stuff, painting and packing for the last two weeks: I get it.
That's when I discover that they TORE MY BRAND NEW floor (this is a house we just built) in three places in my kitchen and were trying to cover it up till my husband saw them. THEN they literally destroyed a sewing table that was less than a year old and before they headed upstairs with it was fully functional and fine... They PROPPED it up and THEN called me up and said a couple of screws tore but it was fixable. I'm not thinking and just nodded at that point exhausted because it was 9 and I had been moving my own stuff for the four hours they were late to save some time and keep moving... So later I was so angry when I opened the door on the cabinet that night unpacking and the whole thing collapsed in pieces. Totally broken, but hey they took $30 off their OVER $1100 price for the damage... Wow thanks.
Literally the MOST expensive movers I have ever had in my life and by far the WORST. We called the next day, sent pictures to owner of floor and desk. Promises were made to fix this. Well I waited and a week later no response after multiple calls and emails from my husband so I am taking this to social media. I have had better luck getting guys of Craigslist at the last minute. I so do not recommend these guys. I literally want a refund and a do over at this point.

I called these idiots, first mistake! They gave me a window of 12-3 pm. They got there at 3:45 with paperwork with someone else's name on it, with a completely different price on it and wanted me to sign it anyway. It took them 7 hours to move my 950 Sq foot house and charged me over a thousand dollars. I caught them wrapping up Rubbermaid drawers and I had to box up folded clothes that were in clothes basket, they could not move it that way. They sent a truck that had no ties to tie down my stuff. They talked and took two or three smoke breaks on top drink break. It was two hours and it was 20 boxes on the truck and then the boss calls me, scolding me like I'm a child telling me he will have to charge me if they have to send a bigger truck.
I did not have any appliance other than a washer and dryer, two beds, two dresser, and living room furniture and misc like clothes, vases, lawn furniture and they sent the smallest truck they had that would not even fit the stuff I had. After the 4 hours packing the truck we arrived at my new home. I had them load the stuff in the garage and get the hell out. They complained about the hours they worked for the day that's why they did not want to move me. They are scammers, who wraps up Rubbermaid containers as if it's precious glass - each item had to be wrapped with a roll of tape. It was the worse experience I have ever had with a moving company. Beware of the fraud, the workers are trained to take their time with your stuff so the bill can go up. Read the paperwork before you sign it. That's a scam as well. And the boss should be ashamed of himself calling a paying customer up in the middle of a move and spoke very disrespect.

I scheduled moving service with the Greenville, SC area several weeks ago for service that would be on July 16, 2015. I was told I would be called 48-72 hours in advance for my time. I requested my time to be early afternoon. I was told that would be no problem. I went into great detail with the male customer service rep I talked to regarding what items I had to move and what I expected. Was told it would take somewhere around 3 hours plus drive time. I agreed to this with an agreed upon cost. I was not notified of any additional cost beyond the agreed amount of $129 an hour, all inclusive. My old address and new address are under 5 miles away from each other. I was not called regarding when my transport would be until the morning before on 7/15/15. I was originally given 7 am-8 am. I requested to be after this time. They agreed and set me for 12 n - 2 p.
On 7/16/15 movers didn't show up until 3:30 pm. I ended up calling several times after 2 pm to get an update on the ETA, and was continuously promised around 3 pm, which didn't happen. When our movers did show up, they were slow, stating they had a busy morning and were quite tired. Showing them around our house they agreed this should go quite quick. They took many breaks, at times we couldn't even find the workers. They were dressed unprofessionally, with torn t-shirts and pants. Smoking frequently with repeat request to not smoke in our house. It took the over 3 hours to load the house, already almost over our agreed time. Stating they get paid hourly and didn't really care how long it took. They then took a break before going to the new house. We were charged for an hour of drive time.
When it took them under 10 minutes to get to the new house. They began to unload. It took them over 3 hours to unload. They had started up their truck to leave before coming in to tell us they were done. Throwing us paperwork to sign. Never once did the workers offer to do a walk through to make sure items were where they belonged. At either the old house or the new house. We clearly showed them where items went at the beginning. Even marking on every box what room, and clearly labeling each room for ease. The workers left 80% of the boxes either in our living room or garage, which isn't acceptable. They had stacked on top of boxes that clearly indicated that they shouldn't be stacked on top of. Stacking and throwing boxes that stated fragile on them. After the men left, we noted one of our box spring mattresses was completely damaged, they had wrapped it so tightly in half that our frame had been damaged.
The mattresses were wrapped so tight they were in half. We had to spend 2 additional days moving boxes where they should have been moved in the first place. When I called and complained to the corporate office we were told they wouldn't do anything until we talked to the local office. When I called the local office regarding the poor service and unhappiness. They blamed most of it on us, it was our fault for not knowing where the workers were. It was our fault for not forcing the workers to do the walk through. It was our fault for not making sure we directed everything more appropriately. They did refund the charge for materials, which we were originally told was included. They didn't refund the fuel sub-charge which we were not told of prior. I complained regarding the amount of time for the job itself. When I original told it would take around 3 hours total. I was charged an hour for drive time, when it didn't take an hour.
I in total was charged for 7.5 hours of service when I only had a little over 6 hours of service. When our movers left, they had put their finish time at 10 pm, and they actually finished at 9:40 pm. They noted that we had changed the time, but we didn't receive a refund regarding the time difference. When we called corporate office regarding these issues, we again were blown off. We found damage to our walls after the men left, and the company wouldn't come out and address. I have made multiple calls to the company with no results. I was sent paperwork for the damage to the box spring. I asked for a further refund with nothing. I expect the company to reimburse me for the new box spring we had to purchase because of their damage. I expect to be reimbursed for our time that was spent moving boxes that were in the incorrect places, this took us an additional 2 days.
I feel like I should only be charged for the original agreement with price which was 3 hours. Not the 7.5 hours I ended up being forced to pay for. The movers will not move your belongings out of the truck until you pay. Basically holding your possessions hostage until you have paid. What other option do you have but to pay or they will not give you your belonging. This total price would be a refund of $1000. I understand paying the fuel surcharge. I believe we should be credited back 4 hours of work, at a cost of $129 an hour. Plus the $150 we spent on a new box spring. We had to rent a U-haul to get the box spring because drive cars, that cost us $89. I do believe the company should reimburse further due to damage found on the walls from the workers. The company told me they would only fix holes in the walls, not scratches and such, that was our responsibility. I don't agree with this.
This was a brand new, new construction home, that now the walls look horrible. While they didn't break through the walls, they did cause damage, we had to repaint many areas due to the marking. This isn't acceptable. The company should have fixed this. The company should have agreed to come out and move the boxes to their correct location. Their workers should have offered to do the walk through with us. Clearly, they get paid hourly as they told us, and were not in a rush. They didn't care if we got overcharged because they were moving slow, they got paid the same no matter what.
This is beyond horrible. The company is using me and my possessions and taking their time to cost me more money, giving them more money. Unacceptable. I feel we should be reimbursed for our personal time to fix situations that never should have happened. Broken family heirlooms that the workers and the company clearly didn't care about. This company, I would never recommend to anyone. Their service is horrible. They clearly do not care about their customer, they care about their bottom line. I think this is at the corporate and local level.

I called and requested a coast to coast move. Matt from the st Petersburg office quoted 119 an hour for two guys and a 26 ft truck. Small single bedroom move with 8 hours travel time (4 each way). I was called two more times before the move and everyone said 119 an hour the movers and the truck. Move took 3 hours (1 1/2) on each side. Travel took 8 (4 on each side). Instead of the expected bill of approx 1400 plus fuel and tax they presented me with a bill of 3200 and told me that was with a discount. When I called the office they told me I was quoted wrong and that they realized it and the move should have been 3600. They said they gave me a discount.
When I told Dianne that it was on them that they quoted me wrong and not my fault, she discounted it to 2600. I told her I should not have to pay more than 1750 and that was even several hundred over what they quoted. She then got the owner Betty on the phone and apparently it was her son Matt that quoted it wrong so they reduced it to 2300. Still 600 over the top I expected. I chose them because I saw their trucks around the apartments I lived in. I called them and they seemed very courteous and confident. They gave me a set price based on their estimate of 2 hr to move out and 1 hour to move in. This was estimated without anyone coming out to evaluate the move. I told them several times I had a lot of items to move. No appliances, but lots of things. I asked if it took longer what would the hourly charge be. I was told they had to keep the price they gave me. Based on the times they gave me I had to ask them to move the start time in the morning as I was still doing last minute packing and an issue with getting my car back from the shop. I was called by a crew who said they would be ready to come when I called them, I later called and got VM, left messages, several times.
I finally called the main office. They said they'd have them call me. I got a call about 30 min later saying a different crew was on the way. The first crew mentioned something about a deal and then I could take care of them. The second crew emphasized this "deal" again. Then after they looked things over they called the office as they thought they'd need two trucks. I've moved a lot of things in my life and knew it wouldn't. This turned into the office calling me and asking if we could change to an hourly contract to "be fair", I stupidly agreed. They drew up the contract and had me sign it, then said they'd trim a few hours and I can pay them direct some of the difference so we can both make out. I agreed but felt they were all in on this, the office and the workers. They made it a point to constantly tell me sob stories of how little they are paid and how they get cheated by the company on extra time put in.
In the end the move took about 17 hr from beginning to end, which included them taking a lunch break for which I paid for the pizza they ordered. I also gave them some money to pick up something on the way to the new place. I even gave them things as we were moving like my microwave and other items I didn't need anymore. They had told me their breaks were not included in the total hours, but when the total was evaluated it was not subtracted. Then they tried to charge me the total of the hours they trimmed off the final total, with the difference being given to them. I balked at this and they lowered it slightly. It was late, I was tired, I did sympathize a little with them as the move out was from the 3rd fl. so I let them scam me somewhat, but part of what they got was going to be their tip anyway, so they didn't get over as much as they thought they did.
Had that been the end of it, I could have let this go, but afterwards, I found they were leaving boxes and bags where they wanted and not as I had asked them and as they were marked. I am missing a 540.00 cordless Dyson vacuum, which was one thing I hadn't packed and was in two separate parts (the vacuum on the charging holder with two accessories on it and the long tube attachment with the carpet head) so it's hard to believe it was "lost" by accident as both parts are missing. I am also missing a Weight Watcher's bathroom scale, which also wasn't packed. The two things that were not packed are missing. I called to talk to the driver and he refuses to call me back, the office referred me to their corporate claims. Who required I fill out a form and have a document notarized to state I wasn't fabricating the loss. It even asks what I expected to settle the claim, to which I stated I wanted to be reimbursed.
In the end I got exactly what I thought. They sent me a form to fill out and notarize again to state my honesty in the claim and an offer of 4.20 as they are only responsible for .30 a pound, which is a part of the agreement, that I now feel pretty much gives them free reign to shop through your belongings. (And get this, if I would accept their settlement, I would be signing an agreement not to say anything derogatory about them. What joke.) On top of all this, they were not careful with the items they moved, and caused damage to some of my items like my book cases. Do yourself a favor and find another company if you are moving. This place is not trustworthy, they false advertise on how you don't have to worry about anything on your moving day as they will handle it for you. You have a lot to worry about if you use them.

My family hired this company for a local move. This move was about 2 miles. During this time they broke a dresser, an antique clock, a bookcase, a lovely vase and a neon sign. I actually watched them break the dresser. The guy was insistent the damage was there before. I told him "I watched you break it." He still denied it. Wait. You might say, it's insured right. Their insurance is by the pound, thirty cents for each pound broke. That broken antique clock I mentioned, I will get $3.00 for. Watch out for their mileage surcharge. It is base upon time, not mileage. Funny right? It amounted to about $250 for us. Bottom line, if you are looking for safe, detail oriented movers, don't look here. If you don't care about breakage, these might be your guys. I should also mention, it took 4 guys to move a 4 bedroom home 2 miles away, 9 1/2 hours. Do yourself a favor and don't use these guys. We hired All My Sons movers recently. I should have read the reviews first. First, when I called and dot my quote the guy underestimated by about 2 hours to get the job. I have a three-bedroom house. No boxes. We moved those our self. They estimated 4 hours (about a 15 minute drive to where I moved). It took them over 6 at an additional charge of course. We had three movers. One of them worked while the other two stood around and watched. Second, the amount of damage they did to my furniture was incredible - broken book selves, nicks in just about every piece of wooden furniture plus broken glass objects.
Third and what upset me the most, they left a refrigerator and box spring out on the patio of my new house saying they (professional movers) couldn't get them in so this 60-year old guy and his wife got them inside. So all said and done I had broken and damaged furniture. Had to move a refrigerator and box spring in myself and was underestimated by almost 400 dollars. I would not let these guys move my dog house let alone anything I value.

It is hard for me to imagine a worse cross town moving experience. This move was scheduled nearly a month in advance and done during the day on a Monday - figuring as an off day it would minimize the likelihood of problems. I scheduled an afternoon move. I was told I would get a call by 11 to let me know a time once they had an update from their morning move. At 1130 I had to call them and they told me they would call me in an hour with an update. At 1pm I had to call them back and was told I would get a call back in 10 minutes. 45 minutes later I called again and was told they were finishing up and should be to my place by 2. Finally I was notified at 3p that they were leaving the yard on their way to my house - and at a little after 4 (after several calls to the shop to try and get an update) I learned that the truck had broken down and they would not be able to complete my move.
This was my first conversation with Michael who identified himself as the Operations Manager. I expressed my displeasure not with the truck breaking down (that happens) but the fact that communication between his office and his customers was deplorable. After much contentious conversation he was able to offer a paltry 10% discount and an assurance my move would happen FIRST thing in the morning. He said he was taking personal responsibility for my move, he would be my contact, and he would notify me in the morning when they were leaving the yard so I could return to my old house and NOT waste any more time.
At 8am I get a call that they are on their way. The movers arrived after 10a. In between that time I made several calls to the shop most of them went unanswered. The one call that was answered was by a woman who identified herself as a manager who was long on excuses and short on apologies - basically telling me that Michael was not around so I couldn't speak with him and that no amount of my complaining on the phone was going to make the movers arrive any quicker. The movers arrived and completed my move in less than 2 hours (their minimum) as it was a VERY basic move. I have no complaints about the moving crew - they understood my frustration and completed my move as quickly and safely as they could. It was not until after the movers completely packed my old house and were on their way to the new house did I finally hear from Michael.
Michael said something to me on the phone that perfectly sums up why you should not use All My Sons. He said his role in Operations was "selling time" - which I could not agree with more. I’m sure if I had a bigger move and was more profitable perhaps I would have had more attention - but this company either does not care about its customers enough to keep them informed, or just does not know the first thing about running a business. As an end note to all of this - one would have thought that after all of this I might have gotten a call from someone at the end of the move to make sure that the job was completed in a satisfactory manner. This is something I would expect from just about any service company and even more so for a customer that was having a horrendous experience. Needless to say - there was no attempt on their part to follow up - which was not a surprise at all.

This post is for everyone on here that has used All My Sons Moving and was charged a hidden "travel fee" when it came time to pay your bill. If you disagreed to pay the fee and you were threatened or intimidated into paying the fee and you paid them the undisclosed fee because you were afraid of going to jail, you may be entitled to file a lawsuit. I found myself in the above situation and I refused to pay the hidden fee and was threatened and I have reached out to an attorney who stated this is illegal what they are doing. This is on a case by case basis but please contact a local attorney and discuss your situation.

When I first called on 6/30 to schedule my move for 7/17, Scott was very nice and explanatory. I called on Tues, 14th to confirm my appt for the 17th and Scott angrily answered the phone and said yes, I was confirmed and slammed down the phone. The truck never shows up so I called and got the owner Jensen Well. He apologized and set me up for Sun, the 19th.
Well, they showed up and surveyed both mobile homes and informed me it would take 2 trips. I said, "Fine, no problem." Then they stood around in their truck for another 15 minutes and I get a call from Scott. He starts going on and on about the situation, costs etc. and I kept saying, "Fine, I understand." Apparently I was on a conference call because out of the blue, a voice (that sounded like one of the movers) said, "She is drunk, pull the crew out." Scott hung up on me and the truck left. I repeatedly tried to call back but they refused to answer my calls.
By the way... I am a renal cancer patient with only one kidney... not only I don't drink but I can't. And at 9:30 in the morning... seriously? My advice... stay far, far away from this company. I'm still praying I get my $500 deposit back. Needless to say I still haven't been moved. 2 men and a truck are due Tues. Should have called them in the 1st place!

My experience with ALL MY SON MOVING INC. BLUFFTON, SC was a horrible nightmare. I called them and made arrangements with Jason, whom was very professional and always kept me informed when he was on duty. My move was scheduled for pick up April 21, 2015 leaving Port Royal, SC going to Little Rock, AR. The move turn very wrong. I called them to inquire about the attempted delivery of half of my things, which was never discussed in my initial arrangement. Bryan was the person of contact that day, after my inquiry about where were the rest of my things, he became very angry and talked to me like I was not to be concerned, and started to ask for half of the price quoted. I refused and told him when they deliver all of my things I would pay them.
I asked when would the entire load arrive, and he said next week, (May 7,2015 partial load came and Bryan told me if I did not receive the delivery of the partial load that a 300.00 storage fee would be charged. I asked to speak to his supervisor and his name. He told me he was Eric ** and I would have to call him. Bryan also stated that while we were talking at that time Eric was there in the room with him. I waited until the next day to call Eric and he questioned me why I did not call that evening and I explained that I was upset. They had quoted the priced for the move and I paying by cashier's check. Bryan talked to the driver Anthony and told him to try to obtain the fee, and refused. Told them that there would be no payment until I get all of my things. Eric assured me that there would be no 300.00 fee and they would be keeping me informed as to when the whole shipment would arrive, needless to say they did not.
I receive my things May 22, 2015. They did not inform me about the discount they applied. They collected the original amount. Anthony and Jason are the best. Bryan was rude and will cause this company much money with his disrespect to the customer. Mr. Eric you really need to keep a sharper eye on your workers, I was really done wrong. The glue that holds your company together are your drivers and the hardworkers that load and unload. These guys are the true soldiers that have to face the people when the front office has made a real mess.
I hope this horrible experience will not fall on deaf ears. I paid in full $3888 but the bill was $2916 because the delivery was on a Friday at 8pm - no banks were open to transact or change the cashier check. My whole load was finally here, and you all made a 900 plus. Do the math. VERY UNETHICAL. YOU DIDN'T HAVE THE RIGHT SIZE TRUCK AT FIRST DELIVERY AND YOU MADE ME PAY FOR YOUR SHORTCOMINGS. Didn't follow up and send me a claim form or courtesy call. YOUR REPUTATION WILL BE YOUR JUSTICE.

I vehemently do not recommend All My Sons. I am not a professional mover; however, All My Sons claims this as their primary business. As such, if All My Sons is operating ethically, it is their responsibility to accurately assess the amount of time and the size of truck required to complete the job in a timely fashion acceptable to the customer. The customer cannot make good decisions if All My Sons does not supply reliable and accurate information. In the case of this move, I believe All My Sons purposely and grossly underestimated the time and size of truck in an attempt to gain billable time.
I scheduled this move more than a month in advance. I spent some time trying to make sure the individuals assigned to move my belongings were professional in dress and mannerisms. They were not. In fact, I avoid people who look like them in public. A shirt with the company logo does not a professional make. Jerome was loud and insistent upon his own way. He was verbally abusive, threatening in mannerisms, rude, slow and lazy, indecent in speech and condescending in attitude. He repeatedly grew agitated and visibly upset by not being allowed complete latitude to behave any way he wanted.
Specifically: When I asked Jerome not to spit, he defiantly retorted, "Aren't we moving you out of here today?" He continued to spit. Jerome disappeared regularly for long spans of time - I frequently had to go looking for both movers. I saw Alex sitting in the All My Sons truck. He remained seated for more than ten minutes after I noticed him sitting and began timing his lack of movement. I am unsure how long he was sitting. I had been in the house, saw no movers for some time and went looking for them. Jerome freely and openly discussed with Alex his personal time excursions. The most disturbing of these discussions took place in the public driveway of the neighborhood in which I now live. Neighbors overheard these conversations as well. Jerome regaled Alex with tales of being big and needing a couple **.
Jerome knocked over a shelf that knocked over a jewelry box that was set aside over five feet away. The box fell on a vent, dumping the contents into the vent and gouging the wood of two of the drawers. Jerome did not apologize; nor did he move to pick up the contents. Instead, he blamed me, saying I should have cleared the area. Jerome attempted to charge me for packaging material that Danny (supposedly a manager of the Hilliard, OH office) had told me would be provided free of charge. When I refused to sign billing that listed packing material, Jerome became visibly upset and angry, loudly exclaiming "No! That comes out of my check!"
Jerome refused to move a treadmill, saying it could not fit through the door. The treadmill was brought in that door when I bought it; three days later one friend and I (female and not professional movers) were able to get it out that very door with little issue. That treadmill was one of the main reasons I hired a moving company in the first place. At the mention of any damage, Jerome would vehemently and repeatedly deny the damage. He would sneer and argue and do anything to negate responsibility.
On June 25th, when All My Sons movers left the house in which I previously lived, there was still stuff in every room of the house. The garage was still full of my belongings. I had to rent a UHaul on Sunday, June 28th to finish moving. I paid two people to help me finish moving. I would have finished moving on Saturday, June 27th, but I relied upon information I received from Eric ** at All My Sons corporate offices in Texas. Eric had told me on Friday, June 26th, All My Sons would finish the job they were hired to do. Eric promised me two different movers would be finishing the job on June 27th. Needless to say, I heard NOTHING from All My Sons on June 27th, and so had to finish the job myself.
The movers had no interest in expediency; however, billing was of the utmost importance. Jerome frequently called Danny and sat in the cab of the truck talking. Toward the end of the move, Jerome sat in the truck for more than 25 minutes talking on the phone. When Jerome finally exited the truck, he asked if I was ready to do billing because they had gone over time. During the time they had supposedly gone over time, I unloaded all but three totes from the truck myself (working by myself for more than 15 minutes). Neither of the movers were anywhere to be seen and I wanted to get them off my property. When Jerome realized I had been unloading the truck in their absence, he yelled at me to get out of the truck and that nothing else comes off the truck until I signed for billing.
After I called and complained about their s-l-o-w-n-e-s-s to the local office; they were told to finish unloading without further billing, Jerome threw the final items off the truck into the grass beside my garage, told me my belongings were trash and to have fun picking up the rest of my trash off the grass. There are neighborhood witnesses; an embarrassment to the AMS company.
In addition to the abuse I endured from Jerome, and the large amount of work I had to do myself after paying All My Sons more than $1009.00, there was extensive damage done to both my previous and my current home. The motto painted on the side of the All My Sons truck is "Let Our Family Move Your Family." My family does not condone the illicit use of prescription drugs, using Jesus Christ's name as a curse word, regularly dropping the F word while working in a professional capacity (let alone in front of a customers 7 year old child), calling customers trash, or rude, condensing treatment of others. I highly recommend stepping up random drug testing, and more stringent rules in the hiring process at All My Sons. If Jerome is the highest caliber individual All My Sons could send to my home, All My Sons clearly needs a better hiring process.

Moving complaint. On 4/4/15, I called All My Sons Moving to get a quoted. I was quoted $99 per hour for a min 2 hours and after that it would be $50 after the next hours on. Travis ** said after listening to my items as I am a single woman with no kids, the move should take about 2 hours. He sent me the quote and I scheduled the move. It was to be 6/19/15, but I rescheduled to 7/3/15. Upon arriving 3 very young men came from the co. 1 guy showed me a contract and walked me through the verbiage and what it said. He asked me to sign and initial 3 places. 1 place showing their start time and arrival. 2nd place acknowledging they don't move money, weapons or jewelry. 3rd place the final bottom of contract showing we went over the entire contract. The page was folded but he advised me all he'd said to me was all that was in the contract.
We never discussed pricing. In fact, I was to get a follow up call to confirm my move. I never got it and I called them. The only thing they advised was a 9:30 arrival. So, they started at 10:01, it took them 2 hours at my apartment to move items. My largest items were treadmill, sofa , loveseat, dresser 1, mattresses. Also, maybe about 15 boxes. I also had me helping my father and another person. Then they sat on the lot for 15 additional minutes after we had pulled off. I called them and asked them to follow me, they declined. They advised they had to pack the van which was odd because the 3rd mover stayed in the truck and arranged the items as it was handed to them. So why once everything was out did you rearrange for another 20 min? I moved less than a mile away, only 4 min from my old home. They arrived still 20 min late.
Then I was presented a bill for $573! They called their manager who said they are anticipating it will take another 2 hours to move again so the time they bill was up to 12:45. I asked the mover next to me what time it was now, they said 11:15 a.m.. I told them no one ever told me they were $100 every hour. I was quoted just $50 every hour after the 2 hr minimum. So, only had $300. I told the manager on the phone and the moving rep who went over the contract with me who conveniently failed to cover the rates but had me sign the contract I was going to the atm. It took about 10 minutes and I returned to find the 3 young men sitting on the truck stop with their legs swinging and talking. My father advised me they stop working all while quoting me a 12:45 time frame. This infuriated me because you're moving slow, soaking up time, and purposely prolonging this process.
The manager said when they called him because I was upset that he told them to stop until I paid all my money. That this would not count against my time. However, I was never given another time of completion with extra minutes added. The movers dented walls, were unskilled in maneuvering large items, and although nice, totally mislead me especially the contract person. Also, let me mention the supervisor came by and exchanged a dolly that had a flat tire. "Jens" was his name. As I am sure this caused them to move slow at the first load up I was not given a deduction for equipment being faulty. Also, he also never went over the price with me. Jens promised to send me the contract as the copy. Again I was never allowed to go over, hold or review. I never received this signed contract, copy of my quote, or got a chance to review the call between me and Travis.
That same day I googled this company. They are nationwide and have over 300 complaints, many consumers had logged on that same day and filed complaints with ConsumerAffairs, BBB, and other blogs. This company has a consistent history of falsifying moving quotes, soaking up time deliberately, and gouging customers. Please help and do an investigation. I am requesting $200 of my $573 bill returned back to me. As I agreed to pay $200 for 2 hours, and $50 every hour afterward, and gas. They only moved me for 2:45 minutes, why I am being billed as if they moved me for 5 hours, at $100 an hour? Why was not the contract rates shared and covered prior to moving that day? Why was the contract never sent if you're not doing any fraudulent behavior. I saw the page I signed and initialed, there was no $99 per hour or even dollar amounts on the page.
Partial refund $100 for 2 hour minimum (10 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. + gas, then I'll pay for $45 minutes) total $300. I want $273 dollars back. They wrapped, quilted everything which was unnecessary as my items were already taped but this was included in the quoted. I have a copy of the quote via email. I also had already paid $50 deposit which was taken off the total.

Contacted the movers to get a quote. Ryan gave me one price and set up a time to move me. I call back to confirm our appointment, but I was told they tried to contact me, which was not true. All of a sudden the price double. Ummm I explained the situation to Pete, and told me that I should contact someone else. Sounds like they didn't want to earn my business, LIED FROM THE START. Be aware.

We had requested 4 movers. Instead, we had to work with only 3 movers for a job that required 4 movers (since we have 3 floors to our condo). Why did we only have 3 movers? Because one of the movers came to our home DRUNK and we found him face down & sleeping in our bed (I wish I was joking). They said they could not replace him, so he was removed from the job & we were left with only 3 movers.
Even though we asked them to pad all furniture, they did not. I was too busy helping to direct the men and my wife was too busy taking care of our 3 month old infant to notice that they were being negligent about it. Because of that, our dining table and coffee table were damaged. When we told them that they had damaged our furniture, the movers responded unprofessionally to us & claimed that we were lying & it could have been already damaged before. Are you kidding me? That's false, because when they move the furniture, they specifically point out items that are already damaged & obviously, those items were not pointed out to be damaged before the move.
After that heated exchange, one of the movers decided he was going to stop moving furniture into the house even when asked several times & EVEN THOUGH WE ARE PAYING FOR 3 MOVERS. Now, we're down to 2 movers when we had asked for 4 MOVERS. Both my wife and I had to physically move boxes OURSELVES into the house and up the stairs because the movers refused to put on booties in our home & bring things in (our new condo is completely carpeted). I even moved a mattress with one of the movers from the elevator to the apartment. I assembled both bed frames with one of the movers. My wife was moving heavy book boxes herself & the movers did not even attempt to help her. Let me remind you, we were also taking care of our 3 month old infant while doing all of this.
The move in its entirety took over 13 hours - started moving at 8 am & they did not leave our new condo until 9 pm. We literally only had 1 mover doing anything (since 1 was drunk & left the job, 1 decided not to work anymore, and 1 had to stay by the truck). Even better, this remaining mover was annoyed he was doing all the work, so he purposely was going slower so that they would get paid more in overtime. The next day, we found that besides the damage to our dining table & coffee table, they also had broken our TV stand and cracked multiple mirrors off of our $300 art piece.
What did they do for us in return? We asked them to replace the drunk mover with another one. They said no - they didn't have any other movers. They sent out their manager Sam to apologize to us & he says that we will only pay for 3 movers. How is that caring about your customers? Of course we're only going to pay for 3 movers - that's all you are giving us! But what about the fact that the move is going to take so many more hours because of 1 mover missing? No response. We have multiple damaged pieces of furniture. They say that they cannot pay us back for it or it will be just $.60 per pound. Are you kidding me?! We call the manager again when the movers denied damaging our furniture & when one mover decided he did not want to work. He just said that we will have to pay for the 13 hour move as is & then speak to another manager Doug the following day.
Finally, after multiple phone calls, they agreed to charge us a move with 3 movers for 8 hours total, which they claim is fair. Is it? Of course not, that's what we would have paid if they had done their job properly. Instead, we really only had 2 movers working the entire time, both my wife & I moving and assembling items ourselves, and multiple pieces of damaged furniture. This stressful move of 13 hours will always be etched in our memory of our first night in our new home, in which we weren't even able to set up our nursery that night for our 3 month infant...so instead she was fitfully trying to sleep in her foldaway crib as the movers were banging things around at 9 pm. Would I ever recommend or use this company again? ABSOLUTELY NOT.

We were a simple, one bedroom apartment move from Milwaukee to Seattle. In short, our items arrived in good shape but nearly 5 days later than our expected delivery date in a truck that was carrying only our belongings; a Thursday load date with a Friday departure from Milwaukee should have put the truck in Seattle on Wednesday at the latest for the straight shot that was quoted to us and was the selling point for this company.
Reaching anyone for updates on the arrival of our things was a nightmare - there are only 3 people in this office and there was 1 driver but getting facts, updates, and a delivery date was an indescribably horrifically handled situation full of false reports, hostility towards us as the customer, and outright lies. This miserable communication made our move far more stressful than necessary and not worth the inflated price. For greater detail, please read below - fair warning, we made sure to give a detailed account just so everyone is clear:
We went to All My Sons only after having been left out to dry by another moving company which broke their promise at the last minute on their ability to deliver within our required window. The appeal and advertisement for All My Sons was the convenience of having the same person load the truck, drive it straight to our destination without additional stops or loads, and to get in in a short time because the 2,000 mile trip was easily covered within our 10 day delivery window. We were desperate to continue the move as planned and were initially excited to find a company that could accommodate us and even promised to exceed our expectations, so we were willing to pay the premium that came with this (approximately twice the price of larger companies and three times the price of Mini Movers who we should have worked with from the start - by the time we contacted them, they were booked).
Despite poor online reviews, we assumed our move was so simple that it would be hard to mess up, and decided to work with All My Sons. The Milwaukee area office is operated by three (3) individuals - the owner, sales manager, and an estimator. We first spoke with the owner who assured us his company was worth the price because they would drive our items directly to Seattle and promised to pass me off to the salesman to move forward. I had to call back to ultimately reach the salesman as this hand-off was apparently never clearly communicated. This did not bother me at the time, but was the first glimpse of the horrific inter-office communication that exists at All My Sons.
Once I reached the salesman, he was wonderful to work with and echoed the direct service promise - based on simple logic, he said that a Thursday pick-up would result in a Friday departure from Milwaukee, and a truck arrival in Seattle by the following Tuesday or perhaps Wednesday. We decided this convenience was worth the premium on cost, and we moved forward with a visit from an estimator.
The estimator come out to the house and she was great. She was very personable, professional, and informative about the move and she completely set us at ease. She echoed everyone else's promise of a straight-shot move and a Tuesday/Wednesday arrival and said she would be our point person for the move and to please contact her with any questions. After such exceptional service from the salesman and estimator, we assumed the poor online reviews were the result of some combination of whiny, indecisive customers and large home moves. The next step was loading which went smoothly enough; the driver arrived a bit late due to some address confusion, but this was no issue and he and the other mover packed everything up quickly and safely while both conducting themselves cordially and professionally.
HOWEVER (**this is where the experience makes a comically awful turn**), once all of our possessions were loaded in the truck, the driver started to voice complaints about his boss and inter-company logistics and even told us how he loves to mess around with the owner, and if the owner is too mean, he simply doesn't follow through on his promises to said owner. Additionally, he was excited to throw his mountain bike in the back of the truck because he would take a 36 hour stop to break up the trip (never mentioned previously and not a law set in place by DOT driver regulations) and get some riding in. He said that based on the 36 hour stop, he should be in Seattle by Thursday, MAYBE Friday if he hit traffic.
By this point, the driver's intentions to use our move as a road trip vacation and his unprofessional openness about having screwed his boss over in the past cast some serious doubts on the initial trust we had built with the company through the estimator's visit. While we were concerned, he had all of our items ready to go and we clearly did NOT want to upset him. We felt as though we were past the point of no return and had to move forward.
We headed out to Seattle hoping the owner might take control of his driver and follow through on the company promise of a direct shot and a Tuesday/Wednesday delivery. A similar-looking moving truck even pulled up near our apartment on Monday, which caused us to wonder if we'd missed something and the truck was for us. I called our estimator to double check the delivery date and time - at this point, we realized we were jumping the gun, apologized for being so antsy, and simply requested an updated delivery date and time. She said she would check with the owner (who apparently runs dispatch and is apparently the only one in the company with access to GPS location information on company trucks) and would call us back as soon as she knew.
After hearing nothing back, we waited until the next (Tuesday) evening to shoot her a text once again asking for an update. She simply said that the owner was supposed to have called us and that she would call him right away. We waited for any further info, but never heard back. I texted her again on Thursday morning saying we hadn't heard anything to which she responded that she would call "him" immediately. We are unclear if she talked to the driver or the owner (or anyone for that matter), because she responded within a few hours that "the guys" would be arriving tomorrow (Friday) afternoon and that she was get back to us with a more exact time in the morning.
We were pretty irritated at this point and simply noted that all of this push back was getting into a neighborhood festival that would shut down some streets, so the driver should plan accordingly for the Friday drop off. The following (Friday) morning, we waited all morning for info and heard nothing - I texted asking for a time. We waited over an hour for a response, at which point we decided it made the most sense to call the office number given that all answers seemed to come from there.
The salesman answered the phone and immediately transferred me to dispatch, a.k.a. the owner. After a wait on the phone, I was finally connected to the owner who answered the phone with thinly-veiled hostility. I told him who I was and that we were expecting the truck that day (Friday) and simply wanted to know what time it would be arriving. He aggressively informed me that the truck wouldn't be arriving until Sunday PER OUR AGREEMENT. He continued to inform me that I had received a voicemail from the estimator stating Sunday as the drop-off and I had responded to this voicemail with an "OK" text message. Furthermore, he informed me that he had a business to run and didn't have time to talk to me because I should be talking to the estimator who was the point person for my move.
I was shocked and quickly explained the different information I had received by opening my text thread and reading it to him. While he was willing to admit that he wasn't sure why his employee had lied to me, he said the truck was in Montana and would be arriving on Sunday. I vigorously tried to maintain my composure and expressed my confusion as to why a truck that departed Milwaukee on Friday for a 2,000 mile drive was not arriving until Sunday. He said that he had had to deal with a last minute driver change because the driver got pneumonia and this caused a delay.
I said I had not heard anything about a driver with pneumonia (and while I didn't mention this to him, I knew this was a flat out lie - the driver who packed the truck Thursday was kind enough to stop by on Friday to pick up a rug we had forgot to include in the initial load. After tossing the rug in, he said he was hitting the road. This same driver was the one who eventually arrived on our doorstep in Seattle).
He said that was the truth, he didn't know why the estimator had lied to us, and that he needed to hang up because he "had a business to run". At this point in the conversation, he was more hostile than ever and had been continuously cutting me off as I tried to explain the move communication from my end since it was clearly a different story on his end. I said that I was extremely frustrated with his company and his employees and that I would be writing a lengthy review (here it is!!).
At this point, he told me that he would not "sit there and listen to me tell me how to run his business" and that if I wrote a review he wouldn't "just let me throw him under the bus" and would "write a rebuttal explaining his situation". While his rude and unprofessional behavior during our phone conversation had me physically shaking with shock and anger, I explained to him that I was trying my best to maintain my composure despite my overwhelming frustration, that I would appreciate if he would give me the same courtesy, and that at this point I could accept the Sunday delivery date so long as we were clear that I needed to hear from someone at the company on Saturday what time to expect the truck.
Further, we wanted to know how we would be compensated for the delays. He curtly informed me (in a tone that was at the very least cordial) that he would be sure to speak with the estimator concerning the "lies" and have her call us, give us a delivery time and would give us a discount on the move for the four day delay and said good-bye. Looking back, I should have noted the delay was at least 5 days from our expectations and should have hashed out the precise discount. However, I was exhausted from the rest of the discussion and happy to end our conversation.
More shaken and concerned about the company's ability to deliver on any promises, we waited a few hours and, having not heard from the estimator as promised, decided to give her a call - after all, we had established a relationship and trust with her at the start and I simply wanted to have a peaceful, professional conversation about the matter. She did not answer my call, so I left a message. After another hour of waiting, I sent her a quick text simply saying I wanted to clear things up with her, to which she quickly replied that she would call me back.
I never received a call, and when I tried to contact her on Saturday to establish a delivery time (as agreed upon), I received a curt text response that her daughter was playing softball and she'd call later. Again, I waited over two hours with no response and texted asking for our promised update. I received a prompt response that the truck would arrive between 3-5pm on Sunday. I responded with a thank you and have not spoken with her in any form since.
The truck arrived a little after 4pm on Sunday. The local Seattle hired hand who helped unload the truck was very professional and a pleasure to work with. The driver was also very helpful with the move in and all of the items arrived in good condition, despite his willingness to use our move as a cross country road trip vacation. We were so relieved by this that we ignored the driver's complaints about having to leave early that morning from Idaho to reach us on time and his other comments about how he figured he might be able to push it and make it home by Thursday night (in 4 days) to get to a concert. We simply smiled, thanked the guys for their help setting up the apartment, gave them some pizza, and sent them on their way.
Concerning the price adjustment, the driver arrived with no price change noted on the documents and asked me to sign prior to anything being moved - I said we expected a decrease. He understood and didn't stop moving things in as he proceeded to call the owner and salesman multiple times before finally receiving direction to decrease the final cost by about 10%. Again, looking back, we could/should have been more thorough identifying how much the move was worth and how much we should have been charged. However, we were so relieved to have our items and move on. we paid the amount, signed the papers, and moved on. Once again, comically awful. We were certainly jittery with our first move, but the poor communication spooked us early on and it led to a stressful move with an unprofessional cherry on top. Best of luck with your move. And be sure to never hire All My Sons Moving.

Day of move they were scheduled to be here no later than 9am. Guy calls and says they are running late and doesn't know how late but he will call me back as soon as he knows something. I end up calling them back after over an hour of waiting for them to call me. He tells me he still doesn't know how long but hopefully by 11am. A "scheduled" move is for a reason!! Kids and pets involved made them being late even worse!! We had time to take apart our beds, dressers, etc so of course it will NOT take two hours to move yet they still want to charge us FULL PRICE! They won't even compromise with us seeing how it was THEIR FAULT they are LATE!!
Ended up canceling due to them still trying to charge FULL PRICE, NEVER CALLED BACK to inform of what is going on. Very careless with their customers! Never apologized. NOT once for the inconvenience. And they kept my deposit!!! Even though I didn't use them!!! I have NEVER used them and will NEVER try to use them again!! Extremely disappointed with their attitudes towards the whole situation. They NEVER tried to keep as a customer! It was more like,"OK, whatever you canceled."

All My Sons Moving has resolved the issue to my complete satisfaction.
Original Review: July 7, 2015
I have used several moving companies in the past and this was the worst. We were overcharged. They have refused to give us a breakdown of the charges. Our dresser mirror was broken. The mover said he took a picture of it and sent it to the office. The office claimed to know nothing of this. It took three phone calls to get the forms to file a claim. After a month we called the claims dept today and was told we needed to send a statement to explain what happened. We have been getting the run around since April 6th and it is now July 7th. We only moved 10 miles and into a two bedroom apt. and the charges were ridiculous. It was double what we have ever paid before and less furniture to move. I would not recommend this company to anyone. We gave the delivery guys tips, but this has been one of the worst move experiences I have ever had.

We hired All My Sons out of Simpsonville, SC for a local move on 6/6/15. The 4 guys were on time and seemed like nice guys, but I'm afraid that's the only good thing I can say. They didn't move very fast and they were not the least bit careful with our furniture or appliances. They covered some furniture but did not cover our mattresses, which ended up getting torn and dirty. They apparently didn't come prepared with food and drink and put me in an embarrassing situation asking me for drinks.
On our way to the new house, we stopped at a convenient store and I paid for their drinks and chips. Before they would take our things off the truck, I had to sign and pay them about $400 more than we were quoted. At that time, the lead guy told me they accept tips but it would have to be cash. Again, I was embarrassed since I had no cash on me, so I went to the ATM and got them their tip. It wasn't until they left that we saw the damage to our things.
When we called Larry and Chris at the office, they sent a guy with a colored pen and fixed scratches and torn leather sofa. However, he couldn't fix our torn, dirty mattress. We are told they pay $.60 per pound on damages...that won't pay for a new mattress. They don't have anyone who can fix the mattress. BEWARE - don't use this company, they don't care about you, just your money!

Misleading and deceptive sales tactics. All My Sons Moving Co scheduled our move claiming a verbal confirm was all that was needed to proceed. They said I would be charged $179 per hour, plus $179 for travel time. They said there would be a 12% surcharge for fuel, which I interpreted as 12% surcharge on the price of gas. I never received an email or any other information confirming anything. They arrived and put our items from a 4 bedroom/2,400 sq ft home into their truck and brought to a storage facility in the area. They came back for remaining items and had me initial a form for the first time, once all my items were in the truck. I asked the mover the amount and was told he did not handle that. I contacted All My Sons and was told $3100 for the move, while we had anticipated $1600-$2000, tops!
Then and only was I informed of the following: they charged me over $300 on gas for a local move - 12% charge on total moving cost; over $300 for brown paper and plastic tape, of which they charged and left 6 new rolls of tape, loads of paper and other unused packing items for which I was charged; time and a half over 8 hours. This was well over $1,000 in charges that we had anticipated spending. They promised to refund a measly $100 on 7/1, but have not refunded that amount and give me the runaround when I call, placing me on many long hold periods and passing me around until the call is disconnected.
Our last encounter ended with the employee using strong words, accusations and name calling. This company operates under the guise of customer service but they pull the switch and bait and milk you for every penny and use loopholes to get away with it, i.e., waiting to have all your items in the truck, then signing dated paperwork that you must sign if you want your items. Their words when I mentioned this, "we have proof that you signed on 7/1, you have no proof as to when you signed." They are a scam and must be stopped!! I have since found 100s and 100s of consumer complaints against this company since this happened. I'm only sorry I didn't find sooner. Oddly, there were no issues with BBB, which is why I used them.

I hired AMS to move and store my belongings. After I retrieved them and relocated, I discovered: 9 antiques, mostly family heirlooms, damaged; 1 extremely expensive camera missing (including the backpack style case it was stored in, and many accessories also missing). I filed an official claim with AMS for items valued at over $4000. They offered only $222 in compensation. I denied the offer because to accept would have legally bound me from writing a review - well worth the $222.

I had another mover lined up for a Friday, then decided I really needed more time, and searched for another company. When All My Sons said they could move me Monday, I hired them even though they were $39 more per hour than just about everyone else. They were supposed to arrive as close to 11 AM as possible, but didn't arrive till 2:30 (they say 2:00). The two guys were terrific, but in the end, when time came to pay up, I got ripped off but good. A move that should have cost around $700 cost me $1,341.00, and I did NOT get an itemized list of all the bogus charges, like a $193 "excess fuel charge" cost. Really?
To travel 1/12 miles from my home to the storage facility? Things I was told over the phone were not true -- for example, wardrobe boxes were $15, the lady said. They ended up being $25 because the fellow in the office said it was only $15 if I gave them back at the end of the move. And do what, exactly, with my clothes? The two movers were, indeed, wonderful and it's not their fault, but I feel bad for them having to work for such a company. I'm not done with this. I plan to file a complaint with the BBB. Just call me "Ben Dover."

Do NOT use this company. They did not show up on moving day as promised. Showed up a day late and refused to move the hot tub despite agreeing to do so when we hired them. They also did not move our boxes because there was not room in the truck once they got the furniture in. They would have made a second trip but we did not want to pay them a penny extra. The guys were pleasant and worked hard; the office was a complete disaster to work with. Did not show up on the right day, would not move all our belongings, would not renegotiate the rates. If you want a smooth move, use someone else. Seriously.

I called All My Sons Moving & Storage in Rhode Island on June 23, 2015. I made a reservation for July 3, 2015 with Louis. I called back with my credit card and gave a $50 deposit to Daniel. Both Louis and Daniel told me the company was employee owned and I would be pleased. What a joke! I was to be called the day before the move for a truck time. I wasn't. I called and spoke to Alex on Thursday afternoon, July 2, 2015 who said I wasn't on the schedule. After checking, he said that Louis Daniel had "fat fingered" the date, booking my move for June 3, 2015 instead of July 3, 2015. I asked how he was going to rectify their mistake and Alex said that they couldn't but gave me the name of 5 local movers. None were open by that time.
On Friday morning, I called All My Sons and spoke to Brad **, claiming to be a regional manager, and told him that my husband is on hospice care and I had to be out of our apartment that night. He said that he would refund my $50 deposit. I told him that I will sue and he laughed. The regional manager did not apologize. He just laughed. Please think twice about this very disreputable company. I am proof that they don't give a flying flip about their customers.

We needed a next day moving company as a friend backed out. I contacted previous movers.... 2 men and a truck.... five stars to them. Only charged 200. I called the ones on the list... All My Sons. What a big mistake. I enquired about charges and they said it would be 119 an hour for two guys minimum 2 hours so that is 240. Then it would be 119 for travel charges so now we were up to 360. She transferred me then to some other person who was couldn't confirm my move. She talks so fast that I could barely understand her or perhaps I was happy to have found someone. So the next morning they show up on time and start working. It was 3:30 in the afternoon. I stayed at the house to finish cleaning up while my husband directed them to the storage shed where they were supposed to drop off our stuff. They would not unload until we pay them 600 +! What? Unbelievable but we gave them our debit card which they ran 3 times... failed.
Come to find out the bank held one of our workman's comp checks. So we didn't have the money to get our stuff. Our fault I guess. No understanding at all. They took our stuff back to the yard and had his manager call us and if manager said we would owe them $200 overnight hold fee. Omg. Call on Monday to redeliver. Now Monday comes and the bill is 700 something. Omg... Set a time for delivery.. Sometime late in the evening. Got there. Estimated more time to unload: 1 chest of drawers, one 55 inch tv with stand, dining room table 6 chairs China hutch, 1 small desk. Bed and frame. 3 lamps 1 LG cork board.... We already moved the lighter stuff. But we couldn't do the heavy. You guessed it 2 hour minimum. Now here is the kicker. Guess how much. Wait for it. You will be floored. $$$ ONE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED FIFTY $$$. My husband went off on them... and the young man told my husband "to settle down grandpa."
I am going to spread the word as far and wide as I can to tell everyone I know how awful these people are... Do not use them ever.

I was told my 11 things would take about 4 hours to move, with a 30-40 minute commute from place to place. One mover spent a lot of time in the truck folding blankets... The 4 hours turned into over 7 hours. Of course the extra time taken was discounted as like it was a favor to me... I got that benefit, they claimed. HA! My beautiful furniture: Almost every piece of the 11 pieces was damaged. I hired professional movers. They should KNOW that you do not belt the front of an antique bent glass cabinet on the glass. They refuse to refund me for that out of pocket cost. The rest of the furniture? :( Solid wood, heritage quality furniture? DAMAGED. They wanted to give me a bit over $400 for all the damage, including the cost of the broken bent glass, which was @ 277.
So, basically, my beautiful wood furniture was being bought off for about $160. I was not offered additional insurance. So, I got .60 on the pound, which their weight chart is inaccurate. I know that a pottery vase that takes 2 people to move weighs more than 3-5 pounds. ~prove it~ I'm now told there is a weight estimator that is able to tell you the weight of your belongings. It's now been 9 months since my move and I have yet to resolve this claim. My belongings will never be the same. TERRIBLE COMPANY.

So the moving day came and the afternoon went and still no movers.
Called them numerous times and after the 6th time trying we were able to speak to somebody who said they had a move that was taking long and they'd send someone when they could....so it's 8pm and still no movers and nobody to answer any calls or have the kindness to just call and say "we won't make it today we can do it tomorrow though." I hired All My Sons Moving because they professed they were professional and offered a stress free moving experience. It was the complete opposite. First they do not fully disclose all their "moving" expenses. 119.00 travel expense? They are a local company, based in Richmond, where I live. They charge for two hours, my move took 45 minutes. They did not have the necessary tools to take apart a piece of furniture - a flat head screwdriver was what was needed. I provided them with 3 as I did not know what size was required - they took them with them. The "lead guy" ** was asking for tips and acting like I was obligated to give it to the crew. With as much money as they charge, you would think that they would compensate their crew accordingly.
I called the office to complain about the thuggish behavior of their lead guy and the fact that he was asking for a tip like it was required, and that they took my screwdrivers and the guy I talked to ** could not have cared less. They also gave me a time of 1:30pm and showed up at 4:15. Nothing on their web site is the truth. I could go on and on about their shoddy service and money gouging but I think you get the idea. Do not use All My Sons Moving, they are not consumer driven AT ALL. With that said, the actual guys moving, the crew, were respectful and kind AND deserved a tip. But the actions of their "leader" and the actual owners of this rip off moving company were beyond awful and totally stressed me out, a move is hard enough... This was a move from a one bedroom to a two bedroom apartment in the same complex. There was very poor communication between what and how you are informed of the move from the office. I was told the minimum cost was a two hour charge. 1 hour travel time. Made it sound like the travel time was part of the two hour charge. The word "plus" was never used. I was told that clothes could be left in the dressers and that they would be shrink wrapped. The movers said they didn't have any with and that it was an "extra" charge. I was made to sign about 10 pieces of paper where the copies were so bad I couldn't even read what I was signing. What choice does someone have when you HAVE to move that day?
The office said they would send me an email of the signed pages... That was a week ago and I still don't have them. When it came time to take apart furniture they asked ME if I had any tools. They had none. You had to be with them all the time. I caught one of them trying to "slide" the sofa, which had metal legs across, a wood floor. I called the office to complain and was asked what they could do. I suggested a credit would be nice. Haven't heard anything. And to top everything off the guys said they accepted gratuities!!! My move story with All My Sons Moving and Storage in Kansas City on 6/20/2015. I scheduled my move a couple of weeks in advance. On the phone we went over a description of the load and I was given a reasonable estimate so I went ahead and put down a deposit to secure the move date. My wife and I spent the following week packing all of our belongings up in our apartment. We had scheduled the move for the afternoon on Saturday and we were told this would not be a problem by the local contact/foreman.
Come Saturday morning the contact calls to tell me that they will not be able to fulfill their obligation and that I will need to contact another moving company on my move date. He asked if I was flexible on my move date and I told him we are handing over the keys to our apartment on Monday and that we need to be out by mid-day Sunday so we can ensure the apartment is ready for the next tenant, or lose our security deposit. The foremen said he would call around and see if he could assemble another team to handle our move, and call me with a plan.
It is now Monday and he still hasn't called me with his plan. We had to call all of our family and several nearby friends to help us out in this unbelievable situation All My Sons Moving and Storage of Kansas City has put us in. Fortunately we were able to get some family and friends together and, over the course of 2 days, were able to pull everything out of our apartment (with a heat index of 105-110) using a truck, SUV and small trailer.
They have made no attempt to contact me outside of the obligation cancellation, without even a sorry, there was no remorse when he was telling me we were effectively on our own and had no time left to find a replacement company. Note my deposit has not been returned and no attempt to reimburse me and my family for the huge hassle they inflicted on us. In summary: dishonest, untrustworthy, unprofessional, avoid at all costs.

I recently helped a friend out that hired All My Sons out of Roswell, GA. I was on the receiving end and was there to help her move things into place at her new house. Management was generally unreachable while we waited for the trucks that we had no ETA for at the new house. In fact, nobody answered their phones in the office as well as the drivers for a significant amount of time (6 hours) the day of delivery. Then they rescheduled delivery for next morning, however, they didn't show up until 3 pm. Upon arrival, boxes were just brought in and dumped in an arbitrary area and not their respective rooms, contrary to what they claim is what they provide as a service. Even with all of the shipping blankets and shrink wrap, almost everything has some sort of damage to it. A very expensive China Hutch had every glass shelf broken, broke and missing wood trim and had many spots that the finish was worn off.
Subsequently, the lack of shelves didn't matter as all of her crystal was broken, even after it was bubble wrapped individually and packed well. That was just one of many tragedies in their 90% breakage average. Thousands of dollars in damage was done. The next truck came the following day around the same time (3 pm) and they showed up in a rental truck with no ramp or other tools nesessary to complete the services that they sold. They literally just dumped everything in a pile like junk and bolted out of there as fast as they could. They didn't rebuild any of the beds that they charged as a service, lost most of the parts to even put the beds together and literally left a single mom with her two daughters sleeping on the floor and sifting through their broken belongings.
I've never seen anything like it. I could go on and on about how terrible this company is run and especially how management spoke to my friend when she WAS able to reach management. The guy spoke to her with nothing but contempt and was unable to give her ANY info on just about every question she asked him.Since seeing this operation in action, I started researching All My Sons and was not surprised to find horror story after horror story of situations exactly like this one on a local level and nationally as well. All said, do your own research and use your best judgment. Don't be fooled by their fancy proposals and mission statements as most of it is not true. Things quickly go south once they get your deposit and belongings. Big "Thumbs down"!!!

I had an estimator come to my home to give me a quote for an out of state move. She was very pleasant and told me that the estimate was non-binding and that I would probably be charged less than the estimate because the final cost is determined by the weight of the load. She told me she typically estimates high so this seemed reasonable. The actual weight was 1,300 lbs lighter than she had quoted, which would have taken $900.00 off the final cost. I was charged the original estimated weight and was told by the movers I would have to discuss it with the owner. I have called almost daily to have this resolved and, of course, the owner is never available. I went through All My Sons in Milwaukee. Gary Compton is the owner. If you're moving, use a different company.

He told me "Oh you don't pay 'til they start working!" They were pretty slow loading the truck. Had 3 men & only saw 2 of them 90% of the time. Took them almost 3 hrs. to load a 2 bedroom apt. That is with no appliances! Left to head over to my new place at 1:00 P.M. I turned left, they turned right. 30 mins. later they showed up after a 5.5 mile trip. At 3:30, they informed me they had gone an hr. over their allotted time? I never heard nor told by mgt. if it took more than 5 hrs.
The rate would go up, per hr. Then when they weren't done at 3:30, the guys told me they were going leave the last 8 - 10 boxes in my garage & I would have to get them myself! "Are you kidding me?" After spending over a month carefully packing our home of 18 years to move into the dream we had built, they were so careless with our things. One guy kept yelling at me if I stepped away for a moment and wasn't directing his every move (the others were competent to put the boxes where they went). After one of his fits at me (I was changing the baby's diapers), he knocked a stack of boxes. As I tearfully opened the boxes of my shattered wedding crystal and china, he lit into me again. I hired All My Sons last year for a move from CT to NC. The move was fine. The movers were their "out of state" team. 2 weeks ago, I hired them again. This time for a 1/2 mile move within the city. A totally different team this time, their "in city team." The experience was horrible. I am an art collector. I had my art (paintings) brought here in advance of their move. I told the movers to be very very careful around the paintings which were up against the wall waiting to be hung. One of the careless movers damaged a painting (I did not see it being done, however, I suspect it was a shoe that kicked it as he walked by). I let the movers know and they immediately started denying it. I submitted a claim to the company - this is a $1600 painting. No one would take my call. Yesterday I received a one sentence response saying they were not responsible for it because they did not move it.
I rang the corp. office in Texas to discuss and see what could be done. I was told someone would ring me back in a few minute. No one did. I rang again this morning and was told there is nothing they can do. I said I wanted a supervisor to ring me back and they said someone would. That was 2 hours ago. I doubt I will ever get a call back. I am holding payment with AMS right now but, I am not sure of the outcome. Please do NOT use this careless company who gives zero customer support. First if this is the only moving company you have available to you MOVE YOURSELF!!! At first the moving consultant seemed very informative and personable, however two days after the initial agreement an email was sent changing the original plan. Not what we agreed to but still was doable. We were promised movers would drive to our location night before and get up "early" and box and completely load. We were very nervous about this because as in all moves there must be a coordinated effort between buyers and sellers in getting in and out of houses.
We voiced our hesitations numerous times and every time were verbally reassured that everything would go smooth. The day before the move I had a question for our consultant and at that time we were informed our movers were coming to our location the day of the move which meant they would not start packing for at least 7 hours after we were initially promised. Which caused mass confusion between us and the buyers of our home
Finally when the movers did not arrive at the anticipated time I called our consultant and asked what their ETA was. At that time she put me on hold for a long time and when she returned to the phone she informed me the owner of the company had canceled the move! She said "he sent you a message earlier today." Horrible experience! Completely misquoted the time (thus the money) it would take for the move. It ended up being twice the time and they did not finish the job. The movers showed up late, did not have any of the packing supplies or tools that they were supposed to have - no boxes, no tools to take-apart beds & no dolly. They were supposed to go back to our old house and storage unit to finish the move but they just left the new house and never showed up at the old house to finish the job! We were told we could request another move for that...HELLO we needed to be out of the old house that day. They also scratched several pieces of our furniture and broke some steps with their dolly. So far management has not been helpful at all! STEER CLEAR!

I scheduled a move for my daughter a month in advance of the moving date. Spoke to a very nice polite gentlemen who got me all set up. At that point I had not secured a rental unit. The move was scheduled for May 26th. I called back the Wednesday before and spoke to another very polite gentlemen who took note of the storage unit company and address, took done the security code number the movers would need to get into the apartment gates and said we were set to go.
Needless to say they did not show up on the 26th. When I called I got a very rude gentlemen who said they had cancelled my move, claimed he had no information regarding me calling back and confirming and claiming they had left me several messages. I checked all my voicemails and did not have one single voicemail from them.
I will admit I was pretty mad and told him what I thought of the situation, but he was very rude and offered no help at all. It was one of those, well too bad, sucks for you. If you plan on using this company you better stay on top of them and don't assume the person you are talking too is entering your info into the system. WORST MOVERS EVER... Period. My husband was out of town for our move so we hired these movers to help me get into our new home. This was the worst service experience I have ever received. Unprofessional & expensive. The following is an accurate summation of my experience moving in the Milwaukee area:
Scheduled 4 movers and 1 truck. I got 2 drivers, a helper and a truck. The team arrived on our moving day and immediately told me that they would not be able to move my belongings (3 bedroom, 1800 sq. ft - to our new home located one mile away) in one day. After going back and forth for 2 hours the movers finally got started. The movers did not have tools, moving equipment or home protection supplies (They literally had to borrow a dolly and tape from us). Everything (even appliances) was moved manually which took a very, very long time.
9 hours and 2 poorly coordinated truckloads later they announced that they were finished. When we visited our old home to check, they had left the entire basement, the back porch patio, and the garage untouched. When I told them they had left things behind, one of the drivers offered to come back the following day and use my husband's truck to finish the job. They left trash around my old house including a box full of broken glass and beer cans which was rained on and fell apart all over my lawn when I tried to clean it up. Broke 2 big branches off of our tree outside our home. Poor attitude, slow, sloppy and completely unprofessional.
We ended up paying way more money than originally expected and the job wasn't even finished. I eventually gave up on the movers and told them to leave. Do yourself a favor and find another mover - these guys are a waste of your time and money.

I recently used this company because they had the best deal. They promised to provide boxing material if necessary and any tools needed for my move. I was told that my moving slot would be from 11 am-4 pm. No one showed up until 6 pm. When I went to speak with the movers I noticed immediately that one of them had 2 of their fingers in some sort of cast. I was told that a 1 bedroom apt would take 2 hours on average but my movers were not finished until 11 pm. This was due to the fact that they did not have any tools in order to break down my bed.
They actually went around to my neighbors asking if they could borrow some tools which I found to be extremely unprofessional. Me ended up costing me close to 800 dollars which totally displeased me as it was a 1 bedroom move to another apt in the SAME complex. When I called to complain they offered me $50 refund so long as I signed a contract that was essentially a gag order. Needless to say, I did not accept.

Also charged me for shrink wrap By the inch to the inch, very stingy with it and also tape. $14 each for wardrobe boxes and outrageous fuel charges. A 2 bedroom apt to a home with very little furniture and about 30 boxes cost me, a single female $1136.00!!! Yeah they saw me coming. Took 6 hours to move and an hour travel at hourly rate of $139. I have never paid more than $450 to move the same amount of stuff I had a year ago! I will never refer or use this company again. Rip off. Next, when we arrived, one of the guys put our bed together - I asked him twice "Did you screw the frame down to the sideboards?" Both times he said, 'yes' he had. I tipped each guy $20 and they left... guess what? They did not only not secure the frame, but they didn't secure the sideboards to the headboard and footboard. The next morning I called, was told the owner, **, would call me back... never did... very poor experience: slow, didn't do their, lied twice about it and owner never called back... my only consolation is maybe someone else will avoid this company and eventually they will take enough 'hits' and go out of business!

All My Sons Moving showed up in a 26' truck with 3 guys to move a 3 bedroom 1.5 bath house. It took them 7 hours to load the truck, of course they were charging hourly. I've hired numerous companies that charged hourly and it only took about 3-4 hours to load a truck that size. The sad thing is we had already taken apart all the beds and wrapped all the dressers, which they are supposed to do. I'm not unhappy about them not being able to get everything on the truck. It's the time it took to load the truck they brought. Then the transport of the items took 2 hours for a 1 hour drive.
By this time I had called a supervisor and complained which went nowhere and he said they were picking up "fresh legs" and wouldn't charge me for the extra time (45) minutes. When they arrived the movers told me that the guy they picked up was replacing the other guy because he had a family emergency (not the fresh legs the supervisor told me so my move would go quicker). By this time I was so livid that I didn't even want them to put things back together and to just drop it off in the appropriate room. While doing that it took them 45 minutes to get the refrigerator in. During this they destroyed my front door on my new house which will need to be replaced. They also gouged the wood floor and stair banister which will all supposedly be fixed at their cost.
The total time of the move took 12 1/2 hours at a cost of $1400.00. I will never use or recommend this company again. I will use a local mover that cares about getting the job done in an efficient amount of time. The company did waive the fuel costs for our trouble, but not the extra time it took to load the 26' truck or unload it. Bear in mind they didn't have to take apart any beds or wrap anything as well... This is the first time in my life that I have ever posted anything to a consumer website. I'm basing all this on my experiences with numerous moving companies that I have personally used in the past (6 different companies).

I have used All My Sons in the past, and never had an issue with them until recently. I moved last April and what should've been an easy move, took longer than expected and was double the price at the end of the day. For starters the movers showed up late, but had all my things in the truck in about an hour. Thought we were good to go, but they just sat in their vehicle for 10 minutes. I had pulled up in front and waited to see if they'd follow me because the guy driving had to confirm with me twice to see if they had the correct address. I said, it's very close less than nine miles away straight down the toll way. Anyway, I called them and they said they were on their way, but I said I could see them sitting there. Anyway, after our phone call the truck has started up and we were on our way.
I was upset with their pushy attitude and the fact that the bill was twice the amount that was quoted to me from their manager ** from the Carrollton office. $119 per hour with a two hour minimum.
I wanted a run down on what I was being billed for and they gave me a fudge wrap sheet on the numbers. $49.00 for materials $54.46 for fuel. First of all the materials were part of the $119 quoted and I had all my things packed already. I don't think an old push cart and packing tape cost 49.00. We refused to pay the added fees etc.. only what was quoted and they got some guy named ** on the phone and he was so unprofessional and rude. He said they were calling the police and with take my things to their warehouse if I didn't pay the full bill. I said, I will pay what we agreed on and no more but he proceeded to yell at me and finally ** got on the line and yelled at me again. Saying the police were in their way and that I will be billed later for them having to hold my things in their storage.
I was left with no choice but to pay, seeing that the police never came and I wasn't going to allow them to take my furniture and belongings away. We're currently fighting the charges and the bank has honored our request to only pay the amount that was quoted and agreed on and no more. I will NEVER use this company again and hope no one ever gets harassed by All My Sons as I have and many others out there. We were coerced into paying the full amount or lose everything!!! Shame on you ** and **.

I called to get an estimate for a move 6 weeks before my move in date. The quote I was given sounded reasonable. The gentleman I spoke to was very friendly. Some of the things sounded odd to me, but I had never used a moving company to move before. He gave me the hourly rate of $89 an hour (I was moving from a one bedroom to another one bedroom), then they add on another hour for "travel". It was about 5 or 6 miles between the old place and the new one. He also said that if they have to pack anything, there would be a charge for that to. So he added everything up and gave me an estimate of $293. I was told that I would get a call the day before my move to confirm everything. He asked what time I wanted, I told him 8 am on that Saturday. He took a $50 deposit over the phone to reserve my move. I was really excited to have everything set up and done.
The day before my move, I was waiting to hear something and just called to find out (since I had booked 6 weeks in advance). I was told that they "make the schedule" between 12 pm-2 pm and that I would get a call then. At 3:45 pm I still hadn't heard anything so I called. The person I spoke with explained that I was not scheduled until 12 pm. I asked why because I had requested 8 am. It was explained that the smaller moves are done later in the day. I told him that the original person didn't explain that. It didn't ruin my plans so I didn't mind too much to wait. They said they would call one hour before the truck came.
The day of my move, I get up and get last minute things packed. I was done by 11 am. By 12:30 pm I had not heard anything. No one hour before phone call. I called the company (by this time, MOVERS was programed into my phone because I was tired of looking up the number so many times). I was told that there was a problem with their first move and that they were running behind. They told me that they would be there by 4 pm. I was not very happy at this point. I wanted the move done and over with and I wasn't happy that because I was a small move, I was put on the back burner because of someone else's stupidity. 4 pm comes and goes. I still have not heard anything.
Finally at 4:30 pm I called yet again. Got told that they were still running behind so they put me on a different truck with a different crew. The movers finally showed up at 6:45 pm! At this point, I was already packed and was just sitting and waiting… all day when I could have been done and starting to unpack. They brought an extra man for "no charge" since there was such a delay. I was grateful. I just wanted the move done at this point. The three guys that moved me were awesome! Very friendly, very thorough in everything they did.
Unfortunately, my "small move" and having everything but a couple of things not packed, my move into the new place didn't get finished until 10:30 pm. I also wasn't told that they DO NOT move lamps, food, cleaning materials and medicine. Since it was my first move, I had no idea. Those things I had to move myself. When the guys finished up, they had me inspect both the new apartment and the truck to make sure everything looked good. THEN came the paperwork. My $293 move had turned into $480. $40 packing fee and $40 gas charge was added on. Then the move was $400. I know that estimates can't be stuck to. I understand things happen, but paying $200 more for the move than the estimate was not expected.
I called the company to let them know I was not happy with the lateness of the move and the amount that it ended up being charged. The gentleman that I was nice and apologized for the issues. He did give me an $80 refund. I didn't ask for but didn't reject either. Everyone that I talked to was really nice. Just the service I don't think is worked out yet. I'm glad I had a credit card, or I wouldn't have been able to afford the move at all. I am a single woman with only one income.

I used All My Son's Moving for a recent move from a small home to a one bedroom apartment. Management was very courteous and I explained everything I had to move, including a very heavy and very expensive bedroom set, a box frame bed included. Was told they would arrive at approx. 10 AM because they had a smaller move before that. Was told they would have 3 guys, tools if needed, and was being charged $119 per hour. Was quoted a two hour minimum with a total quote of $475, I only moved about 2 miles away door to door. Okay! Great!
Moving day comes and the foreman calls and tells me they are running late. They finally show up at 3:30 PM, with two guys not three, no tools and no safety equipment (body straps, etc.). I asked if they were getting a third guy and they said no. I asked constantly if we were on budget and was told yes. My budget for this move was very limited, being out on a disability. Then they told me it would be more money to disassemble the bed, that if they had to do it, with my tools, they could have with the third guy if they had one. Was told they would have to leave it to stay on budget. Frustrated, I took the bed apart, which took me about ten minutes (also had to reassemble at apartment). So basically I became their third guy.
The move was done in about three hours and I was handed a $710 bill. I asked about the quote. I asked why I was still being charged for the missing third guy. Foreman then calls supervisor and hands the phone to me. He didn't answer my questions instead threatens me with “if this bill isn't paid in full by midnight he would be calling an attorney" and this "attorney" would be on a plane and I would be charged another $500. I barely had it in my checking account, paid them just to get them out, and now going to have my attorney look into this rip off. I have everything I need to make a case, printed emails, copies of everything. Nobody threatens me like that. Pretty much extortion.
All in all, I have to say the two guys that showed up were great, really worked hard, I had no damage, they really busted their butts! I actually felt bad for them. They were very courteous and careful. The bill seemed to be pre-determined. There wasn't any figuring done. My complaint is with management. They lied. So I could never recommend they based on that alone. Big difference between $475 and three guys to $710. And two guys. Would have been done in two hours easily with the third guy.

I see that there are a lot of negative experiences reported with All My Sons Moving in FL and TX, but no reviews on the KC company. Our experience with two moves in the KC area this year has been quite good. Each crew of three had two experienced worker and one novice, and in both cases the novice was well-intentioned but a bit less physically capable. The first crew moved and worked constantly and with excellent coordination among them. They were an efficient team.
The second crew had one strong but unhappy member who did not facilitate team work. They were disorganized and required our help remembering to get pieces. They ended up leaving a secretary behind. (We are moving in three moves, so we can get the secretary together with shop equipment in the final move, so no harm done). The only real complaint we had was that they were not well prepared as drivers, to deal with the very rural location of the house from which we are moving.
They drove the full truck off road down a muddy slope to turn around and got stuck, and we had to pull them out with a loader we happen to have. On the second move, a different driver ran the top of the truck in to a large oak branch over the road. It penetrated the roof of the truck and got very stuck and they had to cut off part of the branch to get it out. They also had to call for a new truck.
In neither case did they offer to stop the clock for these things, although they did agree when we asked for it. The time deducted from our cost may have been a bit short, to their advantage. I think they should have offered to stop the clock immediately upon making a driving error. Anyway, overall, they were very careful with our belongings, wrapping them meticulously and carrying them carefully. The movers were polite. We'll see how it goes with the shop equipment this week.

No word by 3pm, so my husband called again, only to be told that they would not be able to move us today. The soonest they would accommodate us would be on Monday morning, which would require my husband and I to miss a day of work.
When I asked them the reason for cancellation, they would not give me a specific answer, only that the 'transportation industry can be unreliable'. When I asked how they would make it right, I was told we would be given a discounted rate. Instead of $109 per hour, it would be $94 per hour with a discounted fuel rate. Considering that we had to be out of our current residence by the next day, had a full 2 bedroom apartment packed up with no place to store it, this was unacceptable. With no other choice, we had to rent a truck and move ourselves. This was especially difficult since I am 7 months pregnant and my husband and I had no one else to help us move. We used All My Sons Moving Company out of the Richmond Office twice in 2011, 2013 and we did not have one problem with the move or with the employees of the company. The movers came prepared with the tools they needed to move us without damage to any furniture. The professionalism in the office is commendable.
August 1, 2014 I called the All My Sons Moving out of the Baltimore office to move us up the street, five minutes away, and it was a complete nightmare for us. My Mother just died and the funeral was AUG 2 in Reading PA, four and one-half hours away. With the nightmare of the move, we tried, but could not get to the funeral. The movers showed up to our old address late by two hours. The movers rented a Penske truck too small for the furniture, without the mattress boxes I requested and would pay for, without enough pads to protect the furniture. The truck itself was filthy dirty and hence the furniture and boxes brought dirt into our new home. They did not hold any extra boxes requested, the movers did not hold any SHRINK-WRAP for the furniture and blamed this on me for not ordering when I made the reservation.
The Baltimore, MD office needs to do the job they are hired for and not destroy the lives of others. The incompetence of the Baltimore, MD office and the movers on our moving day is beyond words. The damage to our furniture was over $1,000 dollars and the move itself down the street cost $1,050.84. When we filed a claim for reimbursement we were sent a letter stating they were by law reimbursing us $153.00, based on .30 cents a pound, which they never weighted the truck to know the weight. I call the main customer service claim number and the manager said he would do what he could to increase the reimbursement, but never received a call back after numerous calls.
The incompetence of the movers in not having the tools required for the move. One of the movers became arrogant and disrespectful with his remarks, and the damage to our furniture is inexcusable. If you are moving I suggest you find a moving company with better ratings and save yourself the cost to fix the damage done by the movers. This move down the street cost us a lot of money and some damage was not reported and still not fixed. The deep gashes in the dining room table did not sand out when the table was refinished at $800.00. The reputation of the moving company All My Sons out of the Baltimore, MD office is a joke and it would be better for people moving to use a company with a better reputation.
Main damage to: Dining Room Table deep cuts in wood, could not remove all when refinished, $800.00 with delivery. Dining Room Glass shelf with dish/plate grove, cost over $200.00 to replace. Leather sofa, leather is with cuts, over $200.00 to replace.

He wouldn't waive a fuel surcharge that they waived previously. 11% is ridiculously high and another way for them to gain income. He said they move 4,000 people and clearly he doesn't care about repeat business or recommendations. For moving that many people and only having a handful of reviews I thought that others should know of my experience. I spent $120 tipping the guys last time and also another $30 buying them breakfast and lunch.
When I explained that it would be taking away from their tip he did not care saying that he treats his employees good and didn't recommend tips. After speaking with him I remember speaking with him during my last move and he was exactly the same. When I agreed to the price he pushed on me he said someone would call 24-48 hours prior to the move and I can make the decision then. When I asked if they would really call me because I was already promised a call he said, "Forget it" and didn't want my business. Go with someone who values their customers, repeat business and most of all the best compliment of referrals.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! So far this has been an absolute nightmare... I moved last June and have yet to receive any monies from my damage claim... I would strongly suggest that this company not be used. They screwed with my initial order from the get go and did not supply the amount of trucks that I ordered causing a delay in moving my home by $1500.00. I ordered two trucks and only one showed up. They provided the correct amount of guys but 2 of them continually sat on my boxes as the other "new" employees worked their butt off. I felt like my home was a training run for 4 new guys and two sit on their ass stupid-visors... They caused damages to 4 pieces of furniture and uncounted marks, gashes and dents to my walls...
Don't listen to the supervisors or lead personnel on site. They will only lie to you about the insurance policy and you will not even get paid close to the damage that they do to your furniture and home... 3 out of the 4 damages to furniture happened at the home I was moving from and they did not tell me and the fourth item a couch. I told them to walk the couch around instead of forcing it through a door. They did not listen and damaged a 800.00 love seat... All they had to do was walk it around and nothing would have happened..
The on-site supervisor or lead told his guys to just force it nothing will happen... wrong. To this day I have submitted my paperwork twice for the rip-off insurance payment and have yet to see a dollar of it ever paid... Damage Caused : $2,000.00 in furniture. Overcharges because a second Truck was not provided: $1500.00Insurance claim still not paid: $480.00... My time wasted over this whole ordeal: about 10 hours of my life... Again, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Customer Service is the worst.

The sales guy was so great and helpful, was a little relieved after setting up the move with them. When the actual movers arrived they were not friendly, kept the ear phones in ears and unaware of anything! My 46 inch flat screen arrived at my new home with a hole in the screen, my matching bed and dresser had huge gouges in the wood, and my son's bed slats were broken... And this is just the first day of unpacking. There could be much more! NEVER USE THEM!

This company was paid to move my father in law but they cancelled due to weather. The nursing home staff was able to move him with no problem. Since this company would not offer a refund, we used them to move us recently. Even though we told them that there might be too much ice to complete the move that day, they insisted on moving or said we would lose all the money we had already paid. I find this ironic since the only reason we were using their company was because THEY CANCELED on us previously.
When they got there they said it was too icy to move our bed and dresser and would arrange another day to move it. Well two weeks later they will NOT RETURN my calls. Last I talked to them I was told it would be an EXTRA charge to complete the move! Not to mention they left one of the tables they were supposed to move just sitting in MY FRONT YARD. I have called and left at least five messages to no avail. I hope the owner mans up and completes his obligation in an honorable fashion.

After all I have read about this company I admit I was worried and there was a couple of things I didn't like but no company is perfect in this world. The scheduled move was changed from am to pm after I called and confirmed day and time myself and I wasn't told about the fluid surcharge until they arrived on location but once the employee's (**) arrived they went over the "game Plan" with me and they went to work! They were very professional and nice. They disassembled and packed very carefully. They worked hard and at a steady pace. I'm very please with All my son's employee's movers.

The owner of this company, **, not only tried extortion but also threatened to steal my stuff and charge me for services not rendered. The police had to be called in this matter. First, it took the movers much longer than it should have to move a small two bedroom apartment into the truck, as they drag their feet and didn't work diligently. Then they were not given the tools needed to take apart a bed so they asked me, the customer, to run to Walmart for them and get them a pliers. I wasn't told about a 12% fuel surcharge when booking this company nor a 3% credit card charge. When the truck arrived at the new house, one of the workers called ** and told him it would take about another three hours and I had to pay the entire guesstimated amount up front before they moved anything.
When I refused to pay for services not yet provided and would either pay for services provided and then pay again for additional hours, or wait until the end to pay for the hours worked, I was told they would not move my stuff into the house. I called ** and he said I had 10 minutes to pay the 833.00 or they would drive the truck away with all of my stuff. Extreme distraught and upset, I called the police so that they couldn't steal my things. Before the police arrived I gave in and paid the amount they asked for so they wouldn't leave with my things. Then they asked me to sign a form that said they had completed the move and hadn't even put my things in the house. They again sat and waited for the police to show up as I wouldn't sign a piece of paper saying the job was done when it wasn't.
The police came and mediated the situation, letting the owner know that he too wouldn't sign such a form until it was completed. Needless to say there was not much the officer could do as I had already paid the company. They unloaded my stuff, dumped plants over, broke my DVD stand, and put some scratches in my furniture. They charged me 7 hours when the job was complete in less time. I have not got a refund nor a call from the owner. I was so incredibly upset by this whole experience and will take every action possible to make sure this doesn't happen to someone else. As far as I know, you can't steal someone's personal property for any reason.

We scheduled our move for 2/28 in early January. We had to call them the week prior to confirm and were given the arrival time of 9am on Saturday 2/28. We called the week of to re-confirm the arrival time of 9am on 2/28. They did not show up until 3PM. After they loaded and got to our new home, they wouldn't offload the truck unless we paid upfront for the estimated amount of time to unload - of which there was 1.5 hours we ended up not using, paid at the overtime rate. So they owe us $208 for that. I called on Monday 3/2 and spoke to ** who informed me that he is the operations manager and all kinds of excuses for why they were late (basically they fit in another job that was "supposed to be quick" before ours). He also told me that they waived $15 fee for moving our appliance (fridge) which should make up for it all. I've been in contact with ** since later in the day on 3/2 who has promised me that the owner "is going to make this right."
I have requested a refund for half of the time I spent waiting for them (3 hours @ $90/hr) plus the $208 they already owe me. I've emailed on the corporate website twice. Nothing in response from corporate or in the way of resolution from the owner, Betty, who supposedly is going to take care of me.

They quoted approximately $600-700 without an official visit to our home. They said they were a family business and knew exactly what to do and moving a 4 bedroom/3 bath house would be no problem for them because they were sooo competent and professional. They were 4.5-5 hours late and told me I would be fortunate to have them show up then. They said it was not their fault that their employees did not show up for work and that it was illegal for them give us a discount of any kind due to state law. That is rubbish.
The young men who finally came were very nice and did as well as they could have but according to the foreman for the job they had limited experience. This was obvious later when they did not get all of the heavy items that I asked them to make sure they got so when I had to get the rest that I would not have to do heavy lifting. I was clear about the heavy items I wanted them to take but they disregarded my requests and left several (10) heavy items that we were forced to move later.
This was a miserable experience and I would never recommend anyone use ALL MY SONS moving. They were terrible and not helpful especially the administrative office people. They basically said "It's your bad luck that we did not do what we promised to do." Please do not give this business your hard-earned money. Moving is hard enough without having to deal with people who don't care and just want your money.

I had All My Sons move me. First I never really got a quote. This was all new to me. I told them that they would be moving an entire house, 3/2.... The movers came and immediately look around and say, "Oh we didn't know it was a big move," so the one guy says to me he's going to go back and get more boxes and more equipment but he started the clock on me.... it cost me over $3000.00 just for moving 10 minutes at the most away. The one mover himself said to me that they overcharged me but he couldn't do anything about it. He did say to me that I 'should take care of them,' so to me that meant I had to tip the movers which I did with a generous tip... then they also broke an expensive chair leg.
It took some time just to even get the application from them to file a claim, but I finally did, filed the claim, took pictures and even had a form notarized and sent it back into ALL MY SONS. I didn't know how much to ask for so I thought I'd be fair and just ask for $75.00.... week went by and no check. I called the company and was always brushed off and then their one employee ** even lied to me about putting my check in the mail.... never got it yet. Finally I got so frustrated I filed a complaint with the BBB and now ALL MY SONS is trying to hold me just to the $75.00 since I was unaware of what the chair would even cost.
I gave them feedback on their site and no one calls you back like it says they will. Their website portrays a 'mom and pop' business but they are just the opposite... as soon as they get their money they forget about you. It doesn't matter if you're unhappy or not with the move... they have already lost business because I know people who have moved and have asked me of my experience with ALL MY SONS... too high, bad customer service, not prepared really to begin with... They are very friendly on the phone, but that is just a front.

They destroyed two mattresses and support systems, one Tempur-Pedic and one Sleep Number (both top of the line and practically new). Total cost over $5,000 by dragging the piece on the street and garage. One person handled and we were to pay for 3. It was done like on purpose if you ask me. The co. manager was ** from the beginning and would lie to get you to sign to lose your rights, but we did not. Never use this co. Absolute worst experience with a moving company ever. My wife and I move frequently due to our careers. We've used several companies in the past and NEVER had an experience like this. Due to time constraints we were forced to act quickly and All My Sons was able to accommodate our schedule. Wish we had taken the time to read the reviews prior to hiring them. They were absolutely wonderful on the phone (or so it seemed) prior to taking our deposit. They came out and gave us an estimate of $700 to move roughly 8 miles away. Great, seemed like a great deal. They arrived and the fun started almost immediately. I asked the person on the phone numerous time and was assured there would be no additional charges or hidden fees when originally booking our movers.
Never once on the phone did they mention an 18% "fuel surcharge". This is 18% of THE ENTIRE COST OF THE MOVE. Seemed a bit excessive as we were already paying for an hour of travel time and only moved 8 miles away, but ok whatever. We needed to move and could not reschedule as our lease was about to end. We ended up paying over $400 in fuel surcharges PLUS another $129 for an hour of travel time. It ended up costing almost $550 for a 10 minute, 8 mile drive. This was in addition to the actual cost of the move.
Long story short, we hired 3 workers and they worked at an amazingly slow pace. What they were unaware of is we have hidden cameras in our house and were watching them the whole time. They spent most of the day sitting around doing nothing. When we would enter the rooms they were working in, they'd hop up and act as if they were as busy as possible when in reality they spent most of the time literally doing NOTHING. I'm a generally nice guy and don't like confrontation so we didn't rush them thinking they'd get upset and not take good care of our stuff. The workers would take turns "looking out" and alerting each other when we were coming. It was hilarious watching them signal each other as we were approaching.
Fast forward 6 hours later and the truck is now loaded. Mind you, the original estimate was that the entire job would take 5 hours including loading, travel time & unloading. We called All My Sons letting them know this move was taking much longer than expected due to the workers slow pace. They assured us not to worry and told us they would call us back shortly with a resolution. After all of our stuff was on the truck THEN they called... For payment of course. The person we spoke with was incredibly rude and condescending and told us our bill was $1995 and refused to take our stuff off the truck until the bill was paid in full! We basically had no choice but to pay it as it was night time by this point and all of our worldly possessions were in that truck.
Even better was that nearly every piece of furniture was damaged, the walls, banisters and doors of both our new and old home were severely damaged and the claims department was nearly impossible to get a hold of. They literally picked up the phone and hung up immediately nearly a dozen times when we called. We had to use a phone spoof app so the number displayed on their called ID was a corporate AMS number and tricked them into picking up.
The claims process is a complete joke and they make it extremely difficult and time consuming to file. Not to mention they pay .60cents per pound on a claim. Just to give you an idea, if they broke a $3000 30lb flat screen TV you'd get a check for $18 for the claim. LONG STORY SHORT, AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!! We have footage of the movers, have documented all damages and are currently considering pursuing legal action. Please stay tuned for updates.

I booked this company back in Dec. 2014 in Memphis, TN to move me to another location in Feb. 14, 2015 told them I wanted the movers at my home by 830am on 2/14. Well they called me a few days before to reconfirm the price with me $89 per hour per mover minimum 3 hrs which at that time Ron told me there would be an added 12% but this was never mentioned in December when I reserved them. It's two days before my move, there was no way I could find anyone else in such short time. Ok a well they didn't arrive until 2:30pm that day. Some other guy named Ed calls me on 2/13 and says "well we just finished the schedule and it looks like we have you down from 12-3." I said "no I reserved you back in December and requested a morning start time at 8:30am."
Then he says, "I don't do the schedule so I'm not sure who put this down but it's already confirmed in the system and I can't change it." Well 12 comes around no movers show up, I call the office. Ed tells me they were at another job and should be at me by 1pm; 1pm comes around still no movers, I call again, then Ron says they should be there no later than 1:30 and once again no movers. Then Ed tells me "well I can give you a discount for 3 guys to get you moved faster at $119 (original price $134 for 3 guys) since you did request for us to be at your place by 830, but I want you to know we do not try to see what jobs we can make the most money at" (don't know why he said that). But that told me because I had only a one bedroom, they knew it would only take them 3 hrs at the most to move me whereas if someone has a house it would be longer considering they charge you by the hour/per mover. Do the math ($119 was not a deal)!
The one mover who I guess was the main guy was very unprofessional calling me sweetheart and saying things like how he loves all my stiletto shoes. Keep in mind it was Valentine's Day, traffic getting places took at least 1.5hrs, my boyfriend and I had plans in the afternoon which didn't happen because with them arriving late to my house. Once we took the furniture to my new place, one of the movers noticed the mirror to my dresser was not on the truck. Now it's 530 pm and they had to go back to the old place. We get to my old place go inside the apartment into the bedroom and notice the closet door was closed; well some smart person whoever broke the bed down had placed the mirror inside my walk-in closet and CLOSED the door so no one would have known there was anything else to move and how we found out, I just so happened to open the closet and look inside and there was my mirror. Now it's 650pm on 2/14/15 and I am steaming!
By the time we get back to my house, they put the mirror together it was 800pm and I paid this company a total of $624 for this crap to move a one bedroom apartment which again Ed/Ron never told me about the 12% charge until two day's before my move. I told Ed/Ron I was not giving him a good review and that I would not recommend their services to anyone. Almost forgot, when I reserved them in December, I was told by Karen that there was not a deposit required but again two days before my move Ed says he needed a $100 deposit to secure my appointment.

Late December 2014, approximately Dec 27, first contact made with Gainesville office of All My Sons Moving; The male individual made a quote of $1,400 and indicated it should be more due to distance, men involved, but he sill be sure to lock in that price if I get back to him since there were only 2 rooms of furniture involved. I asked if getting back in 2 weeks when Assisted living unit for my mother was ready for the move from Dunnellon Florida to Fort Myers Florida- He answered yes.
I firmed up moving date to be week of Jan 12-13, 2015 and notified Gainesville; got a woman on the phone who indicated she will need 3 men due to a cement statute being moved also even though 2 rooms was involved. I told her to forget the cement statue and said I only wanted 2 men at the lower price she quoted! On Jan 8, I did receive an estimate on the move from a one Kathy **at ** and I have retained copy of same which indicated in brief: "... pick up at (Dunnellon FL- my note) Between 7:30 AM and 9AM, cost based on hourly charge of 2 men and a truck for $124.00 per hour; There is a 7 hour trip charge and a 15% fuel/sales tax added to the total, and to call if I had questions.
On or about January 10 or 11 I first get a phone call that Gainesville will not be doing it with the reason that they only move interstate, and Ft Myers 'All My Sons' is doing the local, and there will be 3 men and the charge is going to be $1,600+. I assumed only 2 men per my earlier conversation with Gainesville would be honored.
The move went well, and 3 men were involved, and also picked up cement statue that is referred to above which was to reduce the cost etc. They dropped off and set up furniture in the Assisted Living Facility at Shell Point fine. However, I do not like being mislead originally, getting switched at the last minute, paying the additional $600+. The bill came out to $2,046.12 which my wife paid by VISA card on January 12, 2015 when the move was made.
I will be writing to many blogs, Angie's list that I had been a member of as Attorney for many years, and already have written to the Elder Care facility blog list in Gainesville about this experience. I was scheduled to sell my 1st town home in West Charlotte 5/23, and had to be out before closing. I had the movers pick all belongings 5/22. On 5/23 I was unable to close on my new home because the deal fell through so the movers agreed to store. They charged me for 3 hours to unload truck into storage and then an additional 3 hours to load from storage to truck when I finally did purchase a new home. (I watched them load the truck to first time from old town home to truck and it only took 1 1/2 hrs - not 3 and it only took them 1 1/2 hours to unload from truck to new home - not 3). Then they charged me three hours to unload truck at new home when it only took 1 1/2 hours. That is an additional 4 1/2 of charges at over 100 dollars an hour.
In total this company took me for a little over 2000 dollars. They kept trying to bring things off the truck into my new home that were not mine. So obviously they did not make it to their rightful owners on a previous delivery. I am 40ish and have moved on my own at least 10 times or more. This is ridiculous. When I moved the same furniture from my apartment to the town home in West Charlotte, including travel, the move charge was 250 dollars and those movers were fantastic! Very personable, respectful, quick to move but careful with my belongings at the same time. That as it granted there was not storage.... but seriously??? At this moment I am unable to find the original receipt to this move. I wish I would have kept it (looks like I can claim moving expenses on taxes). Now I have to call them and try to get a duplicate receipt.

Wish I had read the reviews before I called them. I took the advise from a friend who said they were great. When I called they are oh so nice, "yes this is a family" business. We will take good care you. The Estimate they gave was $645.00. We were only moving 2 miles away. Three men arrived with a truck 8:30 in the morning. 3 hours into loading they said they can't take pictures unless they use special boxes and wrapping and each one would be more money (could have told us ahead of time, but didn't). When they got to the refrigerator the guy in charge said we had to unhook the water line to the refrigerator, that they were not allowed to. My husband who was at the new house (where internet was being installed) had to leave and come to the old house to disconnect the refrigerator and I had to go to the new house to be there with Cincinnati Bell (they could have told us ahead of time, but didn't).
When they finally got to the new house and started off loading, we started noticing things that were scratched and things that were missing. My husband went to get his screwdriver with a red handle, couldn't find it anywhere, finally asked the main guy about it, "Oh I think we have it in our tool box.." REALLY? They knew it was not theirs, the only they had, had a mint green handle. My husband had to ask several times before it was returned. A door stop we bought for a heavy door that shuts automatically was missing. Guess what, yep in their tool box. Our china cabinet that did not have a mark on it, all scratched across the front where they dragged the top forward before taking it off, instead of lifting it off. Now it's ruined forever. They moved our brand new washer and dryer, the dryer was scratches all over the top and side, plus they squashed the dryer hose and ring to where they could not be used. We had to go buy new ones before we could hook it up.
We found gouges out of furniture, deep scratches. They also stole furniture marking pens we had in a drawer and six frappuccinos. They were offered water or pop, so not sure why they had to steal drinks. They tracked mud in the finished basement carpet, were not careful or cautious with our things at all. They chipped a large chunk of wood out of the decorative front door of the new house. One guy kept coming into the kitchen to sip his mountain dew every few minutes while yawning and moving so slow. It was a nightmare of an experience. When I showed the main guy the scratches in the china hutch, he tried to touch it up (probably with our furniture pens, that he stole) and told me he would take $40.00 off the fuel charge.
We had moved a lot of our stuff on our own. They moved two bedrooms, a couch, refrigerator, stove, treadmill, ping pong table, washer dryer and dining room, 2 miles away into a ranch and the end cost was over $800.00. We did not tip them. When my husband went outside he found a bunch of napkins (that I had given one of them for a cut) and empty drink bottles that they threw down in our driveway. How professional that was? It was a horrible, exhausting experience that I never want to have again. Do NOT use AMS mover!!! They ruin everything they touch.

After a mix up regarding payment, it was told by one employee, as long as payment was received in full by that Monday, no additional cost would be incurred. That was not the case. After payment was made in full as agreed, fees were assessed, yet the representative who initially said there would be no additional fees then retracted. My husband and myself moved from Arizona to Oregon, and we procured All My Sons to move us. We spent 2 weeks packing our belongings, protecting our furniture, and packing everything the way their representative told us to. Everything went smoothly and a day early for on load. We were promised our property would be delivered within 2 days.
5 days later, and after several phone calls to them regarding where our belongings were, we received our belongings. Going from 6 men loading to the driver only delivering, which meant my husband and myself would have to unload our own stuff. No problem. We were also told our belongings would be the only shipment for that truck. We took inclement weather into consideration for the late arrival, and delivery on a Sunday the reason for no crew. But... off came an amount of 6 items that were not our own, and over half of our belongings broken, and severely damaged, and several items missing.
Luckily there was a lock box with a name and phone number on one of the items that did not belong to us. I phoned this person, and she informed me that the other person's belongings were in Idaho. And our belongings were among theirs. I received a call from them saying they would send me an email and I could in turn send a list of my damaged property as well as my missing items. And when we spoke to the "owner" about the tardiness of our belongings, and the fact that we had to out load our own belongings, he only reduced an over 5000 dollar move by 300 dollars. This is in so many ways wrong. I haven't the words for my anger and unhappiness as many sentimental items are now lost and a few of my possessions for my work are missing.

ALL MY SONS is the WORST moving company EVER! I did not realize how horrible this company was as far as customer service, employees, managers, and managers in the Claims department. I wish I did more research with this company. After researching I came across too many reviews of how horrible they were! The reviews were mind blowing to know that the level of customer service and disrespect I received during my interaction with them was the same or worse experience.
FIRST..they DO NOT quote you the correct estimated amount. I was estimated $300 more than predicted. PLUS the movers damaged a couple of my items that I am just now receiving a VERY small portion of reimbursement back 6 MONTHS LATER! The managers I spoke to were the worst! The claims manager (Ashley I believe) was even more disrespectful. The people here need to take a customer service course because I guarantee you that this company will not last long. There are plenty of other moving companies now that have better rates and customer service. TAKE IT FROM ME. DO NOT HIRE ALL MY SONS! THEY ARE THE WORST!

We had horrible experience with All My Sons Movers just a week ago and still can't believe that they used racketeering technique to squeeze more money out of us. I saw their truck passing by and decided to use their service for our move just across the highway about 2-3 miles away. Their sales guy came out to do the estimate and claimed to be the best and most accurate (after being 15 years with the company). He suggested 4 man, big truck and 8 hours of work to take everything apart and assemble at the destination, with total just under $1600. When their guys showed up on moving day we asked them to move the bedroom first but they refused and started with media and game room (we found out later that they had a plan to hold most valuable items till last).
We let them do as they pleased without realizing how much it will cost us and in the process gave them several pieces of our furniture to keep. Long story short, we realized that something was wrong when 2/3 of the day passed and they haven't done much and told us that it'll take two trips to move everything. We also noticed that instead of taking apart big pieces they move them as a whole. Whatever they took on the first trip they just dropped off without putting it in place or attaching pieces back together.
When they went back for the second trip they told us to call office and make arrangements to pay overtime even though we still had 2 hours left. They used that time to load our remaining furniture which included bedroom and told us they will not give us our furniture if we don't pay overtime rate, another $600 on top of their estimate. Obviously I was outraged but we couldn't sleep without our bedroom so my wife agreed to pay. But that was not enough either and they just dropped off our stuff at the door. So we were left with large furniture pieces to take apart and move ourselves, then we found several pieces damaged badly with some beyond repair. When I told customer service about the situation and damage they replied we have insurance and that was it. The worst customer experience I've ever had. Don't become their next victim.

We had a highly unprofessional service provided to us by the two movers and their general lack of wanting to do their job. When moving out of our previous address, they somehow made a hole in one of our doors in our condo by moving out my desks. They pointed it out and admitted to it but did not provide a solution to the problem they created. That is a rental unit now for me and I need to rent it out immediately. However, with a hole in the guest room door, it does not look properly maintained.
In addition to that, I marked a few boxes "very fragile" because it contained dishes and platters that were wedding gifts and that were highly treasured by my husband and I. While unpacking this week, there were several dish sets and platters that were broken. I packed those boxes and items with newspaper and bubble wrap in some. There is no way those dishes and platters could have been broken if treated as fragile boxes. When my husband and friends moved us prior to this move, we did not have a single thing broken. Also, the way they moved our furniture and put the pieces right side up, warped some of my furniture.
In addition to damage to our rental unit, warped furniture and several broken dishes, the movers left a black and mild cigarette in my front porch windowsill. Lastly, after paying our $1,200 bill, one of the movers had the audacity to ask my husband for a tip. Not only did they not do their job properly but we paid a $1,200 bill, and we just bought a new house! We should not have been expected to tip! Even though we felt obligated to give him $20 (and we did), we did not think we had to.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS....We hired them initially in 7/2014 to move our items into their storage. In Sept of 2014, our house was completed and we requested delivery. What we got back was damaged goods. Every single piece of furniture was either scratched, nicked or chunk of wood missing. A brand new Whirlpool front load washer was broken as they were taking out the drum stabilizers. One of them was snapped inside the machine rendering the machine useless. The best one is a missing post from a four poster bed and as of this day, they have refused to compensate us for it. When this all happened, we contacted the office and Ron came over our house, acknowledged their negligence, and assured us that we will make it all good again, obviously a total lie. When you call the office, they are expert at passing the buck. One week Ron is totally in charge of your issues, next week Celeste is, following week Aaron is. You never get your answer, they just hope that you get disgusted and eventually go away. DO NOT USE THEM, YOU WILL BE VERY SORRY IF YOU DO.

The city left a note on my front door advising they had shut my water off, what happened, and who to reach out to at All My Sons. Upon finding this out at 4:30 pm on a Friday, All My Sons forced me to find and hire a plumber (rather than taking immediate ownership for their error); and have also refused to reimburse for the 6000 gallons of lost water the city billed me for. We were terribly inconvenienced with the water turned off for hours at our home, our yard was destroyed where their truck ran over the water line (that mind you was about 12" under ground) and I have wasted an inordinate amount of MY time trying to resolve a matter that I had literally nothing to do with. I will just be sure everyone knows how irresponsible this company is and to stay way from them! I have a LOT to write about this company. Unfortunately, I am at work and just got called into a meeting. I will be back to go on. Bottom line, they took us for $966 to move 4 blocks allowing themselves 1.5 hours of daylight. The workers were great, explaining how this company works....and "Carter". Then this Carter made them stop not finishing our move. Making us pay them before they would give us belongings off of the truck. While calling the police, they left with our things. They didn't even get the important things we NEED to live. So we're having to pay another company. I guess I read the wrong reviews while researching. Oh, yes, the guys left without setting up beds, making sure everything was up to our satisfaction, and lost pieces to the frame to my daughter's king size bed..... they just LEFT. We used All My Sons Moving to move all our furniture, store our furniture, and then move it into our new home. First of all the cost was way over the estimate (several thousand dollars). Second of all, they did considerable damage to our property when they moved our furniture out. This would have been a huge issue had it not been for the fact that the new owners were painting the entire area anyway. Thirdly, when they delivered the furniture to our new home many items were damaged and broken. They never offered to come view the items and try to repair what they could. I sent pictures of everything to them. Finally, they offered a paltry amount to try to settle the claim and I would have had to agree to not criticize their company. First of all, I am a easy customer who seldom complains!!! I have moved 7 times before choosing AMS - my normal professional mover could not accommodate us. I first had AMS estimator visit my home. He was a good salesman, but play bait and switch as he said he believed they would get everything in 2 trucks, but it might take 3. I responded saying "I hoped it was 2, but I want a quote to move all of our home to our new out-of-state location." The movers arrived and were friendly. They did not, however, put any protection down for hardwood floors, carpet or stair railings.
The estimated 6 hours to load - which became 11 hours - AND they could not fit into 2 trucks. The estimator then called to say my charges would need to go up. I said his quote was for the move, and I did not dictate the number of trucks. He called me a LIAR and HUNG UP on me. AMS loaded the third truck - AND THEN took it to their place and CRAMMED the 3rd and 2nd trucks together in one!!
Our agreement was for the load and drive to be done on Saturday and unload Sunday. The movers arrived at new location at 8pm Sunday night. They worked 1 1/2 hours and unloaded sparsely - when we immediately saw the first things offloaded were damaged. So Monday before work I had to take shower and dry off with paper towels. They came at 1030am Monday and began offload. My wife lost it - crying as she saw the expensive furniture and rugs that had damage and grime - ex $2,000 rug ruined, $2500 coffee table scarred, scratched Armoire Ruined, $6,000 Sleep Number bed with breakage and grime all over mattress.
Apparently they got a call Monday pm to get done as all of a sudden, stuff was offloaded and piled in our garage. I CAN'T get to my stuff - I did find my wardrobes, upside down in the garage with our clothes and we can't find many things. THIS is NOT the worst. My wife marked EVERY box with where it was to be placed - and that was not followed at all. So we had to re-move most boxes - and at 60, this is not good! BUT, this is not the worst!!!
After clearing areas, I found most walls damaged and worst of all, the hardwood floors are scratched to the wood in many, many places, bannisters split, stairs split, walls with digs and scratches ALL OVER. We are leasing while selling our home so I must fix the damages which I estimate might go over $20,000!!! Too embarrassed to add pictures! Have others considered class action???

I used this company to move a month ago. I just went through my jewelry box and found that ALL my gold and diamond jewelry is GONE. I'm talking more than $6,000 worth of jewelry. Some of it given to me when I was a child from my relatives in Italy. My wedding ring, GONE. My mother's antique gold bracelet that my father gave her, GONE. A $400 diamond ring I bought when I was younger, GONE. A $2,000 ring I purchased in Brazil, GONE. I can go on, but I'm getting pissed as I'm writing this.
Everything that people are complaining about this company on this site happened to me. They broke many of my antiques. When they moved my furniture and belongings to my new apartment, they just dumped all the boxes and furniture -- damaging several pieces. An antique table was placed upside down and then a bag was thrown over it, breaking a table leg. They quoted me one price over the phone, then the movers took their time, stretching the job out to NINE hours to move mostly boxes and a few pieces of furniture. The price came to $600 more than what was quoted me originally. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I'm planning to file a police report.

We hired them to move the big stuff. When I called to get a quote they told me that it would be $99 dollars an hour. I went with them because they seemed cheaper than other moving companies we were looking at. When they got here they then decided to tell us about the trip charge and mileage charge that they failed to disclose to me when we spoke over the phone. I called and spoke to their "boss" about it and he became very argumentative and degrading with me. Stating that it isn't their problem if I misunderstood what I was quoted, that the price still stands and will not change.
We own our own businesses and so I blocked our number and pretended to be someone who needed a quote for a business move and I audio recorded it. Again, I was quoted $99 an hour and nothing more was brought up about there being a trip charge or mileage charge. During the time the movers were "moving" us, the one man took several breaks on our dime to have phone chats. I was also asked for different things to drink. My husband left to go get the cash to pay them with, the two men kept harassing me with saying stuff like he is coming back. Acting like we were going to try and stiff them the money. They became very raunchy acting with me.
I noticed I hadn't seen them in a while so I went looking for them. They were on the tailgate of the truck smoking and cutting up. I asked them what they were doing that I wasn't paying them to sit and smoke. They proceeded to tell me that they were not allowed to move anymore of our belongings off the truck till my husband returned with the payment. So I got to pay them to sit and smoke. They dropped my refrigerator and did quite a bit of damage to it. My front loader also was damaged.
When I try to contact them about submitting a claim I get the run around. It was also hard to get them to put things back together even though it specifically states this is part of their charge. This moving company should be held accountable for their false advertising and poor moving skills. They should not be allowed to stay in business.

We hired them to move us across state about 3 hours away. They showed up 2 hours early which I guess you could say was not a bad thing, but in the course of events that day it went downhill so fast. We got to Rock Hill and waited and waited and waited. It got dark - now we waited so long, then they showed up and hit us with a four hundred dollar amount addendum which they claim was some sort of fee they had to pay at the weigh station, which they never told us anything about. Apparently there’s some sort of little tidbit of a law that states if you use a mover and they use their truck they have to hit the weigh station and there’s added fees involved with all that, road taxes and that sort of stuff.
Well now it’s dark, they show up and say “Okay, pay us the $400 and we’ll unload the stuff for you, WTF?? I said “Hey you never said anything about this before we signed on, and I already gave you the check for $2700 to do the deed up front. I don't have $400 cash on me. How about a check?” “Nope, don't take checks - too late gotta be cash or credit card.” Well, I don't do credit cards. So here we are in the middle of the parking lot, all of our worldly property in the back of this truck and being held hostage. So they tell me if I don’t make up my mind right quick or fork over the money, they're gonna leave and put our stuff in storage at their facility back in Georgia or whatever and I'll have to pay storage on top of, and when I decide to pay them the $400 and then I'll have to pay for them to bring it all up here to me again at that time. So again I say WTF?
Well now we're in panic mode and I call my son who graciously transfers $400 to my bank, and we take it out of the bank and pay them the blood money. So then they spent the next four hours unloading everything. Well I guess I am the stupid one because when they said "okay we're all done", I asked them if the van was empty and of course they said “Oh yeah, no sweat.” They snatched the money up and off they went. Well the next week or so you can imagine we're unwrapping and opening up things as we go and my wife says “Hey? Where are all my leaded crystal ornaments and knickknacks that our son has bought me over the last 22 years for birthdays and Xmas and whatnot?” Well we tore into everything in that house and did it again thinking we missed something. Nope not here.
Well SOB now we're pissed. So I call them and lodge a complaint and they just say, “Hey you shoulda done that a week ago. Did you check in the truck when they finished? We don't have your stuff so blow it out your ear buddy.” Well now the wife is totally distraught. She’s had them crystal things since he was about ten and now they're just gone. So I avoid her for the day and go out to the shed to set up all my tools and stuff. Well lo and behold guess what I find? I open up the top of my ten drawer tool stand alone and everything is topsy-turvy all over the place. I check all the other drawers – same. Even the smaller Kennedy tool boxes are all like someone took them and held them up and just shook them to death.
Well now I start to see the light. They probably never strapped down the tools and left them in the back on rollers and they must have fallen over and probably on top of her crystals and things. So they must have either dumped the stuff or hidden it and never said a word to us about it. I feel that was because while bring down our bed frames they gouged a huge chunk out of one of the walls and we had to haggle the owner about the price to fix that after we moved and he wasn’t none too happy about my not being willing to just let it slide for nothing since we were moving anyway. So no doubt in my mind what happened. And there you have it, our little horror story with these clowns. So if and when you see someone saying “Don't do it.” DON'T DO IT. YOU'LL BE SORRY.

Charged us three times the price quoted. The two guys who came into the house upon arrival looked at our expensive, quality furniture and said "oh **" and the other guy said "this is gonna suck"! Should have known right there what was to come. We had a 5 bedroom house and this was a large move. The truck they brought was way too small knowing in advance the items we had. To fit more items on the truck, they bent our king size Stearns & Foster $5000 mattress. Stood it up and bent it! When delivered to our new home, the coils broke and pushed through the top. This is the top of the line mattress that is so deep, we have to get special sheets to fit it. So for a coil to break and poke through the top, tells you how they handled it.
All mattresses were treated this way. Our dining room set which was $8000 and has carved wood edges. I was very worried about this and mentioned it to the moving guys. Told me not to worry. NO moving blankets were used. Most of the damage would have been avoided if they had just covered the furniture with blankets. Most of the chairs ended up with rub marks and the top of the table had a very long, deep scratch in it down to the bare wood. My stainless steel fridge that was new with no marks or dings, now has several rubs marks on it and a ding in the one door. My LG digital dryer has a cracked screen now. My kitchen table has a chunk of glass missing on the top. A dresser and night stand were damaged and a corner was just knocked off. Our piano was ripped right off of its wood stand and now all the screw holes are stripped.
When we contacted this company to tell them about the damages, they said an adjuster would come out. We waited a week, didn't get a call. Called again, they said he's really behind and it may take 2 or 3 weeks to get to us. Waited and again, no call. Called again, an appointment and time was set up and no one showed up. Called again and were told that the guy who was helping us (Eli) was fired. Had to start this whole process again. A YEAR LATER, because we weren't giving up, they finally sent a guy out to assess the damages. He fixed the wood scratches and told us we were basically screwed on the rest because this company is awful and they don't want to pay for their damages.
At one point, we even offered to just get the mattress replaced and skip the rest. It's bent and makes my daughter's hip and back hurt. Couldn't even work that deal out. Well, we received a letter in the mail from an Irma ** whom we'd never heard of. The address was from Texas which made us realize that there must be a corporate office. The letter was stating that our claims were being denied since so much time passed (even though we were dealing with Eli and Diana ** the whole time). It was signed by Irma. We called Irma and she didn't know who we were. Irma said she never sent the letter and said Diana must have signed Irma's name to the letter. Seems after reading these reviews that Diana is a forger, a liar and very dishonest. Zero integrity! Irma says not to worry, she's going to handle it and to only deal with her. Guess what? Irma calls Diana and now we are back to dealing with this Bradenton office which we had already exhausted.
Back to calling Irma who now doesn't call back. Diana thinks that now that the woods were repaired, this claim is done and sends a release of liability for us to sign. Called the corporate office again and now we are being told a new person is going to call us. Ashley **. Round and round we go. Why should we have to pay for a new mattress? My daughter's back is killing her from the mattress. This is just wrong on so many levels. Irma assured us that she would take care of this and it's not how they should be running their business. Well, after finding this site with over 200 bad reviews, I think it's obvious that corporate knows all about these situations. We are now going to contact a lawyer and the news stations to see what can be done to resolve this matter because we are not going away! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR MOVE. AWFUL AND THEY DON'T CARE IF THEY DAMAGE YOUR BELONGINGS.

They weighed my items in NY and not PA and charged me an additional $1000 dollars + lost 10 of my boxes and broke several pieces of furniture. They have never tried to resolve my complaint, most of my boxes had been torn open and gone through. I feel like I have been cheated and ripped off. I will never use them to move again! I asked for a refund of the $1000 because the weight was false. Plus my boxes are still missing. I sent them a certified mail letter and never received a response.

I called 3 times for the cost of this move and was told all 3 times that it would be $293.57 by Chris, who said he was the owner. I finally had to call them twice to confirm the time for the move. Okay they get there on time, good... They loaded really quickly... Good. Then they tell me I owe them $63.00 more than what was quoted for hidden fees. They fail to tell you they charge for shrink wrap but require it. It took exactly two hour to move 15 items. Now $60 does not sound like much but at age 64 that means a lot. Plus they lost the part for the shelf on my coffee table that was 6 months old. Very dishonest people especially Chris who told me he was the owner and I had his name written down. A $500 coffee table. Beware this company... Not trustworthy. Basically told me I could do nothing about it.

All My Sons was booked 50 days in advance for Friday 8 am, August 1, 2014. Tried to confirm week before. Told no problem. Tried to confirm 3 days before. Told no problem. Was told I would receive call 24 hours in advance to confirm. Friday morning, no call. I call and they tell me it will be late afternoon. I reschedule Cox Cable at new apartment from Friday to August 6. I cancel apartment cleaner for Friday afternoon. I cancel carpet cleaner for Friday afternoon. I can't get another cleaner or carpet cleaner on short notice for Saturday.
All My Sons shows up at 7 pm. They have no tools and are tired from 2 other moves that day. They spend first 2 hours attempting to get furniture that need broken down out the front door, scarring the edges. I get angry and call dispatch. After that it goes downhill. They decide they need a break every 10 minutes to call girlfriends. Then one of the employees' friends shows up to chat with them. I am furious. I am paying $109 an hour for this? The original estimate for a 1 bedroom apartment was 2 hour load, 1 hour travel (5 miles), and 2 hour unload. After 4 hours they have most of my things in the truck. But not 400 lbs. of assorted plants in pots. I am told they can't move plants. They wouldn't even help a 59 year old man with a chronic liver illness and bone spur in right foot load the plants in his car. They watched me and laughed. They told me that the boss told them they had to make this delivery due to the fact I had liver cancer and was going to die soon. Then they said I look pretty healthy to them.
Once we were ready to go, I tried to give them my new address so they could reach the destination with a GPS. They said they had no GPS and that the smart phones they had were not that smart. They insisted they could follow me. Just before we pull out, they throw trash up under the axels of the All My Sons Moving truck. I go to check on it and it is drawers from a dresser from a previous move that some customer must have lost. They intended to leave it in the parking lot at my old location. I put it in my car and still have it. We arrive at 1 am at new apartment. Before they unload I am given a $960 bill to sign. I say NO. Then I call manager, and he discounts to $650.
I was very tired at this point and told them I would tip them good if they sped up a little. It took 4 hours to load my things. It only took 30 minutes to unload it. They stacked furniture against newly painted walls, scratching as they came in. Finally I am moved in and they leave. Then as I see how badly damaged my furniture is, I was horrified. Most of the furniture that I had bought 2 1/2 years ago brand new was damaged and scarred. It had never been moved since installation. I had no pets or kids. My antique desk was broken and had missing parts. Fine china, over a hundred year old that belonged to my great grandmother was broken. My new walls were scratched. I filed a claim right away, and have never had so much trouble in my life.
I have sent All My Sons Claims Department packages twice. I have done everything they asked and spent over 40 hours of personal time getting estimates to repair my furniture. Still to this day September 17, 2014 I have received nothing from them. I have filed a claim at Better Business Bureau. I have emailed my forms to them, uploaded PDF files I created with all the damages and estimates and still they rate asking for more proof. I am on the verge of a nervous breakdown due to this company and hope that my liver illness does not take a turn for the worse over my stress and constant aggravation. Please do NOT let this company steal your hard earned money and ruin your belongings.

DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!! They told us one price to suck us in and then added an additional $300 plus to the bill. Did not send a big enough truck to move everything so at least 1 room full of furniture was left behind that we had to move ourselves. Unloaded some of the furniture and then held the rest hostage in their truck until we paid them - so I had to pay them. I called the company to question the additional money while they were unloading the rest of our things and was very rudely spoken to by a female named Diane **. Awful customer service!!!
I asked to speak to the owner and was told she was out of town. I said that I was disputing the amount with my credit card company and that I certainly wanted to pay for the service I received BUT I would not pay for the additional charges added to my bill, especially since furniture was left behind. I asked to please have the owner call so she and I could better understand the problem but she never bother to call me back. Then this same Diane ** flat out lied and told my credit card company that "There was no problem at time of payment". When my credit card company asked them for information, they totally rewrote the contract paper and forged my sister's signature. It doesn't get much worst than that. VERY DISHONEST COMPANY!!!

We contacted All My sons in St Louis regarding a very small move, basically a mattress and box spring, bookcase, small desk and a few boxes. The move was from St Louis to O'Fallon, Mo. We were told they would be out Friday morning, August 29, between 8 & 9 in the morning. Perfect! Around 9:30 we received a call that they would be at least a couple hours late because one of the movers got hurt the day before and they were having trouble lining up another mover because it was Labor Day weekend. All the other movers were already on scheduled jobs and as soon as they were finished, they'd be right over. This went on all day long with us making calls to them, and getting jerked around, to see where we stood and being promised repeatedly that we'd definitely be moved that day.
The final call was around 3:30 from one of the owners saying that they had a crew just finishing another job, they were coming back for our paperwork and would be there within the hour. About an hour later, after foolishly assuming they were on the way to St Louis, we got a call saying that they just couldn't do it today. Their movers were just too hot and too tired to do any more for the day! Then they suggested Sunday, because they were too busy tomorrow! We immediately called another company, one which we were considering to begin with, and got scheduled with them for next week. Hopefully, they'll get the job done! We will NEVER even consider using All My sons for any future moves and would NEVER recommend such an unprofessional moving company to anyone!

Now for the biggest loss I had was LOSING MY NEARLY NEW FLAT SCREEN TELEVISION. Al was the one who decided to take it since I hadn't paid them completely the first day. The second day, I paid them very little. When I called them to come and get my TV, AL told me they had sold it! Don't even think about using them!! The young men who did the actual moving were great! Only complaint there was my storage room. Had to pay some friends to straighten it up. I am still struggling to find the money to get a new TV. It'll happen. =)

If you have a opportunity, DO NOT work for this horrid company. Applied for operations manager position. After interviews with human resources manager (the most unprofessional and useless HR worker I have ever talked with) and the owner of company, I was told a face to face interview and tour of facility would be scheduled the following day. After one week of hearing nothing, I tried contacting the HR person and so called owner of the company. Nothing. Another week later, I email HR asking if meeting was still being scheduled or they decided to move on. All I wanted was a honest answer and not to be left in dark.
I was told by same HR person I interviewed with, that after my trip to home office in Dallas, we would have tour of facility that I was being considered for. A hour later, I get a phone call from same person telling me that she sent me the wrong email. It was intended for another person! That was the 3rd time in the process they sent me a email intended for someone else! That's when I decided no way would I work for a company as dishonest and unprofessional as All My Sons even if I was offered the job. I read all the negative reviews and for years have heard the horror stories regarding this company but always figured just upset customers and workers. But I learned 1st hand these stories are most likely true and am thankful now I work for good company with a great reputation.
By chance, a coworker used to work for AMS and confirmed how bad a company they are and told me how lucky I was not to get involved with such a horrible company from the owner on down to the office staff. If you are buying a product, you are going to read the reviews from other people to see if it is worth your money. The same goes for looking at a new job. If the majority say the product is bad, you take their word for it and don't buy. If the majority of customers and employees say the company is not good or worse, same theory applies. Thankfully I learned this personally and feel very fortunate.

A very long story short... My first experience was good. The team put our couch upstairs without issue as they took off the legs and partially the Bannister. We then contacted them again when we were moving .3 mile away. The team that came tried to bring that same couch down that the other team did so effortlessly because they took the legs and part of the Bannister off. The lead guy on this team refused to listen to me and destroyed the hall way. When I told him he had to take the legs off and part of the Bannister, he yelled there are no legs; and I said yes there are.
Bottom line, $525.00 in damages later, I had to take the Bannister off because this "leader" would not take the responsibility. When they got it down the steps I showed him where the legs were and he turned around and walked away. The owner has been no assistance and I have tried to get him to return my emails and phone calls. This particular All My Sons has no integrity, lousy service and they are not cheap. All they had to do was move heavy furniture .3 of a mile because my wife and I moved all the little stuff and it cost me 1200 dollars. I'm the idiot. I'm a single father with some medical concerns that make it almost impossible for me to finish packing everything myself much less moving. I was moving me and the kids out of a two bed apartment to a three bed house. I had to hire movers to help me pack and move. I explained everything to the person that took my initial phone call, everything that needed packed and all the furniture that was to be moved. He went on about how they will quickly get it all done for me and even went into how they pack the stuff for you and scheduled my move with a three man crew for a Friday morning.
The next Sunday, that's right, they kept pushing me back and got there for the move on Sunday, the two man crew show up. One of them spends 45 minutes taking inventory on furniture and calling in to someone, while the other guy loosely and painfully slowly, packs a few things. After being there for almost an hour, They told me that they were only sent out for a move and they were not told any packing was needed, so they were cancelling my move because they didn't have time to change the kind of call they were on since they had other places to be and I wasn't packed and ready for them to be there yet.
While they were UNLOADING the truck of what was already in, the dispatch called me to explain how it was my fault they were cancelling by not being ready plus they found a small mess that I had missed in a back room while cleaning that morning, by a small child's pet cat, and told me that makes the entire house a health hazard because "our crew doesn't wear gloves", then told me to find a different moving company. Crappy company that lied to me about what they did, then blamed me for not being ready when I expected them to do it. I am still not moved and having to pay rent while I try to get someone else to help move me.

I just got back into town after helping my Son, daughter-in-law and 2 grandbabies (ages 8 weeks & 1 yrs old) move 1700 miles. I was there to supervise the moving crew who were supposed to pack the house and put it in the moving van. My son and family started their drive that morning. They were hired so I wouldn't have to exhaust myself before driving the first 15-hr leg to CA. When three kids (I was told later that they were in their 20s, not kids) showed up to do the packing/ loading, I was concerned but they were polite.
After just an hour, I could see that they were not going to get the job done without me doing some of the loading/packing help. I spent the next 7 hours going non-stop. They were working hard, but really had no idea on what they were doing or how to do it. A manager called 3 hrs into the move and asked if they were working hard and if there were any problems. All I could say to him was that they were working hard (it was very hot) - I felt I was between a rock and a hard place - I was afraid if I complained they would walk out then I'd be stuck with the whole thing myself and we were on an extremely tight deadline. I kept my mouth shut and kept working.
What was truly unprofessional was that they were told multiple times to PUT THE CRIBS/BEDS IN LAST, so we could get them out first to set them up for the babies. They ended up in the middle of the van! The un-packers (not associated with this company) started unpacking the van, and kept apologizing for the horrible job that was done by All My Sons - they even gave us their names/contact info if there was any eye witness proof needed for a claim. Furniture was gouged, kitchen chairs broken as well as wooden play table chairs which I found out are not insured since THEY didn't drive the moving van.
My son paid for experienced movers and got taken advantage of - inexperienced workers, exorbitant supplies fees and fuel surcharges on top of no insurance coverage for their flawed packing. When I called the very day I flew back in town after helping them settle and unpack, the manager said he couldn't do anything since I didn't call right away. Would NOT recommend this moving company. They may brag that they have moved the Cowboys & the Dallas Stars, but did not treat a regular family like they should have!!!

Set up the move on the phone. Quoted $119 flat rate, 3 guys and a truck, 4 hour travel charge. Were told by "trainee" that we could contact the local people for an estimator. They didn't actually have an estimator, but convinced that we only needed one truck. Day of the move the "trainee" called, and said he made a mistake. For local moves they only send two guys. Movers show up late, and tell us they charge 6 hours travel time, take it up with the office if we don't agree. The two guys did a good job moving us, worked hard, but of course, ran out of space, so we had to leave stuff behind. Now for the fun part. Time to pay the bill.
First of all it took one of the guys about 30 to 40 minutes to get the bill set up. Time he wasn't moving our stuff. They had 10 hours for the move, and 6 hours travel time at a cost of $119 for the first eight hours, and $178,50 for the time after that because they do charge overtime. Would have been nice to know. Then they continue to charge a fuel surcharge of $400 plus. Again, would have been nice to know. Asked them how they could charge us double time for sitting in the truck driving here. Luckily they agreed on that so they changed that.
Long story short, took the guy an hour to figure all this out, and then those ** have the nerve to charge us $400 more, because it took the guy another two hours to finish the job. All in all, these people are a bunch of criminals, and what they do should be against the law. My advice, get their fees in writing, get what they say in writing, otherwise stay clear of them. They are criminals, and they know exactly what they are doing. I would bet that their "trainee" has been there for a number of years. This is just the scam they run, and they totally screwed us.... Stay clear, Please don't be a dummy like I was.

Made reservations after we sold our house and it was wonderful and I would not need to worry about anything. Made some additional changes with scheduler where they needed to move entire house of furniture as well as boxes. No one ever called to confirm and when I did the day before I went over everything with someone and all they wanted was a $200.00 deposit which I did. When movers finally arrived they said they could not do the move as quick and had no extra trucks so would need to do two truckloads.
Spent 30 minutes arguing with customer service and they stated I lied about the changes. Many of my wood furniture was damaged and they never really finished moving my furnishing which we had to do ourselves. Held the last truckload hostage until they were paid in full. Then they just pretty much threw the boxes and furniture where it would fit and left. Tools of ours they needed to borrow where actually stolen and company denied everything. I was quoted a price of $119 an hour, minimum 2 hours plus a trip price of 1 hour. And 10% fuel charge for the entire move. I have one bed, a chest of drawers, a love seat, 2 chairs, a table and chairs, and a treadmill. Plus approx. 20 boxes. The gentlemen on the phone quoted that it would take about 2 or 2/12 hours. I was moving 15 minutes away. Even if it took 3 hours plus the one hour trip it would only be approx. $500. Sounded high, but ok. First they told me that they would be there at 8 a.m. Then Calvin, the dispatcher, called back and said it would be afternoon instead. About 1-2 pm. Nobody showed. I must have called them 20 times that day. Finally about 5pm. I called Calvin and he said due to weather they were running behind. I had plans Saturday night so I asked if they worked on Sunday. He said yes and scheduled me for 8 am Sunday. They showed at 9am. There were 3 men. They came in and started working.
They wrapped everything. Since they were bonded and insured, I assumed that they had to do this to protect themselves. When I told them they didn't have to do that, they said it was required. It took them 1 1/2 hours to load. I told them the new place was 15 minutes away. They informed me they had to stop for gas. I called Calvin and told him I was not paying for them to stop for gas. He assured me that I wouldn't. They got to the new place about 30 minutes later. They told me they stopped for gas and something to drink. Then they proceeded to tell me the bill had to be paid before they unloaded. I was not informed of this at all. It was $580. Plus the $50 already paid that made the bill $630. For a 1 bedroom apartment. CRAZY!!! They charged me for 3 1/2 hours of moving, the 1 hour travel time, plus $50 for moving supplies. All that tape and wrap which I didn't ask for and they don't tell you that you have to pay. I have to say the movers did an excellent job. They took care of all my belongings and nothing was broken in the move. I don't blame them at all. They were only doing their job.
Who I blame is the office and Calvin the dispatcher. NO ONE tells you of the hidden costs. They assembled by bed and took all the wrap off of everything. Again, I don't blame the movers themselves. They were polite and very professional. And I did get charged for them stopping to get gas. You don't have much choice but to pay them because you won't get your furniture if you don't. They also got there and told me they couldn't move my liquor or food items. I had 2 boxes of liquor. No one told me that when I called. I will never use them again. EVER! Please don't use them. I have moved many times and this was the worst move by far I have ever experienced!! 2 Young men showed up with no dollies. When asked how they were going to move with no dollies, they replied, "we're strong, we can do it." Although I can appreciate the optimism, all I could see was the cost meter tallying up all the time it would take to move one box at a time. I then spoke with "Damien" who advised that the crew said it was about a 3 hour job and recommended that I have another man. After discussion about that, I agreed to have a 3rd person. The two guys left my place to go back and get dollies. The third person did not come back. A vintage sewing cabinet was drug instead of picked up and one of the legs broke off. I did not closely supervise the two guys and my things were POORLY stacked in my storage unit, therefore I will not know if there is any further damage for another month when I can unpack.
When I confronted the guys about how things were being packed in storage I was told, "they'll be okay Ma'am." While unloading, several times a box fell off their highly stacked dolly. When I originally made the reservation with Damien, I was told that I would be called prior to the move to confirm the move and during the move to see how the guys were doing. Neither happened. Here are the issues I ran into: 1) They have fancy pics on their websites of movers in uniform etc. The crew that showed up looked like a cross between homeless vagrants and drunk truckers; 2) Their original estimate for the move was 4 hours "tops". It turned out 9 hours. I know estimates are estimates, but this was not even close. I ended up going way over budget; 3) They "got lost" trying to find my new place (which was 30 minutes away from the old one, and clearly visible on GPS and Google Maps) for an hour. I do not see that as my fault when I have given detailed address and directions. That time was added on the charge, in addition to their base "one hour travel time"; 4) They swiped my wife's prescription **. All other "less attractive" medications like antibiotics were thankfully left untouched.
We were so tired by the end of it all that we didn't even bother to press any charges; 5) They did not assemble a bed at the destination when they were supposed to. Our fault that we should have checked thoroughly before we let these guys go, but it was chaotic at the destination and our attentions were occupied by other more important things. When I called after they left, their driver did not answer my phone. We feel sad and cheated after using these guys. I genuinely try to trust and like people I work with. We discovered most of the issues after these guys left, and it felt bad when you realize that you tipped them nicely and bought them pizza and the works. I can't go back and change anything, but hopefully, others will learn from this experience.

Tuesday 7th. The movers showed up at 3:00 p.m., but they should have been at my apartment to start the move at 10:30 a.m., but they got lost and could not find the apartment building. They arrived at 3:00 p.m. When they already arrived hours late, they looked at the number of boxes I had already packed and told me the job was too large for just 2 men. They said it was a job for 4 men. They called the office, and the office representative and told me they did not have an additional 2 men that Tuesday, but could have 4 men on the next day, Wednesday, May 7th. One of the workers made a deal. One of the workers said to me, "Mrs. **, this is what I can do. I have a trailer, and I can take the boxes to your new apartment. First, I have to take the company's truck and the paperwork back to the company. I will get my personal truck and trailer, and take your boxes to the other apartment for $250.00."
They arrived around 6:00p.m., in the worker's personal truck and trailer, and started moving the boxes. I paid $225.00 for this work. When the worker arrived at my new apartment, I paid him $220.00 because I did not have an extra $5.00. Later that night, I paid him the other $5.00. The movers started bringing the boxes upstairs to my apartment. They brought a few boxes and I did not see them for a while. After not seeing them for a while, I went downstairs and noticed the movers were just stacking all the boxes near the side of the elevator. When I arrived downstairs, one of the movers was walking towards me with a lot of black liquid on his clothes asking me what it was.
I noticed he had busted one of the boxes, spilled a lot of black liquid on the floor in the lobby and was tracking it all over the lobby floor. I had to immediately rush to the restroom, get paper towels and began wiping the floors, because the residents had started to complain. What the mover had spilled was a bottle of black sugar. I had packed this myself, and knew that the box had to have been thrown in order for all the items in it to be busted. I cleaned up as much as I could. I was informed the movers had left dirty papers in the building. The truck arrived on the 8th. The next morning, when I arrived at the new apartment, I heard someone calling my name loud. It was a woman from the office of my new apartment building.
I had to go to the office, to speak with the district manager and other authorities. They asked me if I had moved in the night before. They told me the neighbors were upset at how late the movers had been at the apartment building. They were also upset about the black liquid being on the floor and asked me exactly what it was. I apologized. I told them what the black liquid was. I went back to the workers. The worker really messed up the lobby of my new apartment building.
Broken items the movers on Tuesday night broke: Gold and black Peddle Column - 3 feet tall -40 inches - I paid $400.00 for this item in New York over 35 years ago. Over sink compartment that I purchased from a magazine $100.00. 1 Large crystal bowl 45 inches $150, purchased in Brooklyn, New York 35 years ago. Grab it: $59.00 purchased 5 years ago. Cluster of roses basket of ceramic roses pebbles broken, handle broken, purchased in New York 35 years ago paid $500.00. Stolen property: 1 Telephone purchased for $90.00.
Wednesday 8th. Workers arrived at 11: 30a.m. The 4 men look sorry and unprofessional. One over came in with ear-phones in his ear. I have all my things already packed. The only items left out were a few things I had used the night before. All boxes were packed; all of the boxes were labeled to identify which room each items had come from. I have spent more than six hour packing.
Quote, when I first contacted the moving company, the priced quoted was $109.00 per hour. When the four men arrived on Wednesday 8th, the price went up from $109.00 per hour to $159.00. Move begin Wednesday, it took 4 men six hours to move boxes that were already packed from my apartment on the second floor to the truck outside. This should not have taken this long. The movers were riding the clock. At about 6:30-6:45, one of the movers received a telephone call informing him that his 11 year old son who had a tumor in his head, cancer, was being rushed to the hospital. He was at home being taken care of by Hospice & was being taken to the emergency room. The mover told me his wife had called and the mover had to get off the clock and leave.
Now there were only 3 men left to complete the move. The sorry men come up stairs with only one box at a time. They were taking their time. Demand for immediately payment. Before unloading the truck, one man told me, "This is how we do business Mrs. **. We cannot remove anything from the truck until you make full payment." I asked them how much the full payment was. The mover was on the phone with the office.
He walked up to me and said, "Mrs. **, I know you are not expecting to have to pay this amount the amount presented to be that had to be paid before the movers could unload the truck was $1,924.23." I said," No, this is impossible." I told them it was more than I had been quoted. They predicted they would complete the move by 9:00 p.m. and that was the price I had to pay before they could remove my furniture from the truck. I told the woman who was now on speaker phone that I did not have that kind of money. She told me she had my Visa credit card number on file and she processed the card for the full amount of $1,924.00. The $1,924 did not process, because I had already told her I did not have this amount on the card. I told her to try and process the card for $1,400. The amount was cleared.
The woman on the phone from their office said that I still had a $524.23 balance that I had to pay before she could give them permission to start unloading the truck. I told the movers and the woman on the phone that the only money I had was actually in a dresser drawer on the truck .The movers then went to the truck and without unpacking they stepped all over my furniture, boxes and other items to reach the dresser drawer where I had the money. They reach the drawer, the money was in my bible, and the movers reached the bible, threw it to a man and the man gave it to me. The woman on the phone made sure the total was paid; she then gave the men permission to go ahead and unpack my furniture and other items from the truck. She told the movers they only had until 9:15 p.m. to complete the move, or she would have to start clocking me again, and I would get a new bill. One the total amount of paid. The woman on the phone hung up.
My new apartment was on the 4th floor of the building. The movers started to bring one box at a time on the elevator to my apartment. They seemed to be taking their time; there was no rush at all. 8:30. Another middle age man arrived to help with the move. Now, there were now 4 men. This man did have a sense of urgency to get the job completed and told the other workers to move faster to get the job completed with the allotted time. They only had 45 minutes to get the job done.
This man had a way to bring 3 boxes at a time up stairs. I was worried that they would not finish before 9:15. Time move completed. The movers finished unloading at 1:00a.m. After a long while of waiting in my new apartment, the movers had not come back upstairs to my apartment. I took the elevator downstairs and saw one of the movers sitting and watching television. I asked him if he was off the clock. He answered that he was off the clock, because he had hurt his back earlier in the day.
By this time there only two men working, but I was paying for 4. Around 12:30 a.m., the movers were about to leave, and I had to ask them to please assemble my bed so that I would have a place to sleep. I was very upset with the quality of the service. The movers then lifted the heavy mattresses and assembled my bed. After they assembled my bed, I thought they had other boxes to bring up stairs. I did not see the movers again. I paid for 4 men to work I only ended up with 2 men working. Before my move was completed, there were only 3 men working on my move.
1:00 a.m. at 2. For the last 45 minutes of the move, I had 3, but for most the move, there were only 2 men working. The movers did not let me know when the move was completed I did not get information that the moved was completed, the movers just left.

This is what I posted to the All My Sons Facebook page. We used the All My Sons in Omaha, NE. Our move was Sat, 3/1/14. I am really displeased with our experience with the moving company. I made an appointment 3-4 weeks prior to our move. When I made it, I was asked what time would be best for us. I advised morning and was given a time frame of 7:30-9:00 am. We were happy with that. Every time I spoke with someone at your moving company, they all confirmed the same time. The DAY BEFORE, when I called again to confirm, I spoke with Matthew and was told there "were issues" and our time frame moved to 10:00-11:00 am. Although I wasn't happy for the sudden change, I accepted as we had to be out of the apartment on 3/1. Saturday came. I called at 9:33 am & spoke with Jarred. He said that he would call our movers & call us back.
He called back at 9:41 am & told me that the movers were "finishing up" with a difficult move, that it would be around 1/2 hr (it may have been 20 minutes) and the movers would be over to our place. After over an hour, I still didn't hear anything so called at 11:02 am. I again spoke with Jarred who told me that he'd get in touch with our movers. He called me back at 11:35 am and told me it would be another HOUR. At 12:36 pm he called me & said that they were finished and headed to our apartment. They showed up just around 1:00 pm. We went from a 7:30-9:00 am time frame, to a 10-11 am time frame the DAY BEFORE OUR MOVE, to having someone finally show up around 1:00 pm!
Now, tell me, how do you think I, as a customer, feels about that? Does that seem "reasonable" to you as a representative of All My Sons? My next issue is a broken item. The one item that has been with me for over 20 years and has been in my family well over 40 years, gets broken. It is a tall lamp that was my grandmothers. It cannot be replaced. There is no amount of money or any words that can possibly make up for it now being broken. I have moved with this lamp at least 6 times. I moved from AL to WA with it. The one time we decide to utilize a moving company, it gets broken. I cannot express the anger and heartbreak I am feeling. As you read this, I'm sure you're thinking - it's just a lamp. But, as mentioned above, this was something my grandma had for years and was given to me when our family had to sell the home they had lived in almost her entire life.
To me, it is not just a simple, replaceable item. This is a follow up to the above Facebook post I made. Several weeks ago, I sent in the claim paperwork - with pictures, a letter of what happened, notarized it like it was required. I received your offer letter today for $60. The lamp that was broken is over 65 years old. I CANNOT use it. It CANNOT be replaced. I am posting everywhere I can find and tell everyone that will listen to me to NEVER use All My Sons. This experience has been nothing but a nightmare I cannot recommend this company to anyone. The only positive I can even think of is that, once they finally arrived, the movers were quick to get things out of the apartment. But the broken lamp along with the extreme lateness, just negates all that.

I was quoted $500 for an apartment move within the same complex with a move time between 12-2. They show up at 3:30 and go over the real cost with me, hourly rate is $129 including an hour travel charge for .02 miles. I have no choice at that point as they know because you have to be out of your apartment due to a lease. The guy in charge, I never saw during the move at the first apartment. The two workers, not muscular and were very tired from working all day. They did not have their own water. It took 4.5 hours to move what I was told would be 2 hours to move. The final bill was $810. I had moved 7 months earlier with the company, I thought I was calling for $550.
The 3rd mover did work at the second location, scuffed a doorway but said it was because the furniture was too big. He was extremely forceful about a tip also. He came back to leave his number if I needed side jobs done...I called to complain and got the dispatcher who was extremely rude and condescending (I am female). He admitted the guys were tired because it was a busy move day but would not relent about crediting my account. I have moved several times and this was a nightmare. No stars if possible. This company will low ball a quote and hit you with all of the extra's when you have no chance to bargain. The two guys that moved me were nice but were not built for moving furniture.

I needed to have furniture and boxed contents moved 1/2 mile from a one bedroom condo. The estimate quoted $139.00 per hour worked packing and unpacking plus one hour for travel. I estimated a cost around $400.00. It took one hour to pack and one hour to unpack ink the storage unit. I was charged for a total of 5 hours plus 22% for gas plus packing materials fee or a oral of over $900.00. The movers gave inaccurate numbers for their hours (we were there to witness exactly how long) and were never told of the other fees. They made us sign the estimate of over $900.00 saying they would refund for hours not worked. The charge was exactly what the estimate was with NO change reflecting actual hours worked. This is theft! After hours on the phone I finally got one hour refunded! Still much more than was right. This company is a ripoff! Choose a different mover!

All My Sons Dallas was a completely horrible experience. I used them because the last time I moved was reasonable, but I will never use them again and I am telling everyone not to ever use them after this experience. They were 2.5 hours later than the latest time I was told. The manager then proceeded to tell me that I would have 3 movers for the price of 2 to-speed it up since they were so late. Once they arrived however, one was "sick" and just sat in the truck the whole time. All the guys were way too young and clearly not knowledgeable on how to quickly and effectively move things. My previous experience included 2 stops to pick up items and then carrying everything up 3 flights of stairs to a 1 bedroom apt and only cost $368 total. This was of course my expectation this time if not less because I was simply moving to a different apartment in my same complex!
However the guys were so slow and tired because they had been working since early that morning so it took them 6 whole hours and I had to pay over $700... For a 1 bedroom! Don't do it!!! The manager was also very rude to me each time we talked and I tried to share my case that every expectation I had was not completed. The worst part of all was that they charged my card in the middle of unloading for $565 and so my thought was the manager realized they were going too slowly and that was going to be my total no matter what. Why else would they charge then and not at the end? But after they had left, they called and said they were sitting outside my apt and would be there till I paid the other $150 that I owed because they didn't finish till 11:15 at night!
As a young woman I felt completely taken advantage of and pressured so I paid it. This was the worst example from not only the movers, but the management! He actually argued me by saying his guys deserved all that money because they had been working hard since 6 am! If you ask me, they are to blame for over-working their movers. How could anyone be expected to do their manual labor job effectively for 17 hours!? If I had these guys first thing in the morning, I guarantee you it would have taken 3 hours. It is not my fault that they were tired and slow at their job. I should not have to pay for that! This is not the last they will be hearing from me because this whole experience was completely unfair and ridiculous. They don't even deserve to be called a business by the BBB if this is how they are going to treat their customers!

My wife and I had scheduled a move with All My Sons in Atlanta about 2 1/2 weeks in advance of our scheduled move date. They took our deposit and scheduled the date. About 2 days before the scheduled move, they called and told us they would arrive in the afternoon as there was higher priority move scheduled the same day. Knowing we had to move on Friday to be out of our apartment lease on Saturday, we let them know that it had to be done on Friday.
On the day of our move, we heard nothing from All My Sons. We called them around 4 in the afternoon to get a status on the truck and movers. We were told their first move was taking longer than expected because the people 'lied' about what they had. We were told it could be 6 or 7 PM before they got to us. Upset and tired of waiting, we told them we would be calling back at 6 PM to get an updated status. At 6 PM the "Manager" informed us that because of the rain, they would have to reschedule our move for Saturday afternoon. Again, I notified them we had a lease expiring and HAD to be out by 5 PM on Saturday. He could not guarantee it and kept on apologizing. While in most situations I can accept an apology and a re-schedule, but when you're talking about money that is going to have to be spent because I am not out of the apartment, your apology means nothing to me.
My wife and I had to rent a moving truck and do the entire move on our own in less than 24 hours. I'm a Marine Corps veteran with a back injury from an accident while on Active Duty. I can't lift the heavy items that were required to be lifted. All My Sons doesn't seem to care about that, and instead they schedule 20 moves in the hopes that 10 of them cancel, so they can meet the requirements of the 10 customers that still need to be moved. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and will be on a social media blitz to spread the word about this company. I have also contacted Consumer Reports with WSB-TV in Atlanta about this company. I will not stop until they are no longer doing business in the Atlanta area. You cannot treat people the way they treated us and expect to just continue to do business as normal. Consumers drive markets and in this market, this consumer will drive you out!

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. Please save yourself a lot of grief and heartache and DO NOT use this moving company. During the move, this company damaged a wooden bar with two 2 bar stools, a TV hutch, two antique Hitchcock chairs were broken beyond repair, a TV armoire, a Henredon chair, a nightstand, two dressers, an antique bed, a hand painted table, an antique pie table, five wooden picture frames were crushed and a Maitland-Smith dining room sideboard table had all the legs broken and the top ruined. Almost every piece of wooden furniture they touched was damaged and then someone tried to glue back the broken pieces and color over glue with touch up pen and hoped I didn't notice.

Called for the move and it all sounded very organized and professional. I was moving a very small home with a modest amount of furniture that I had just moved 11 months prior. They brought their largest truck. With only about 1/10th of the truck full they started saying they thought it would take a second trip. I am talking a 1200 square foot house. I immediately called the "owner" sensing a scam. Sure enough there was plenty of room on the truck. It was to cost the hours it took to move me plus one travel hour. Then they started saying my deposit was non-refundable during the move. Then they added cost for fuel and charged me for tape too. They had me pay extra for the time to unpack and it was difficult getting the 100.00 credit back.
They said the credit would be issued the next day since it was so late in the day - it was 12:30pm on a business day. Then four days later they tried to blame it on the bank then said they had to wait for my payment to go through. It went through immediately on my cash card that day. I am still waiting for the credit going on five days. Then I called about glass they broke and the man with a heavy accent claimed he was not working the day of the move. Although we spoke to this man three different times the day of the move. He said a guy named Josh worked that day however when I called for the owner due to the two trip scam "Josh" was unavailable all three times.
Originally Josh said he was the owner when I questioned the hidden costs of fuel plus tape, etc. Hence why I know that the guy with the accent was the one I was speaking with the day of the move. Josh called me first thing and said to call him with any problems however when they tried to sell me on the two trips in the first half hour of the move I called Josh. He was unavailable for the rest of the day. So now the guy with the accent says he did stop in to the office the day of my move and he does start to recall the three times he spoke with me. He did then recall the broken glass that he spoke to the moving men about. The moving men did a really good job they got things done fast.
However one announced that they do take tips as soon as he greeted me which I did not like very much. I always tip movers good but none has ever been that way about tipping. Now as far as the glass they want us to get an estimate on how much it will cost and he said something about only giving me so much per some measurement ie they do not replace things they broke in full. The bottom line is I would not hire them as they are so dishonest. It could have been much worse if something had really gone wrong like a major breakage. I would not risk another move with this type of dishonesty that is the operating procedure with this company.

I was quoted a price by All My Sons Moving & Storage, and was forced to pay 46% more than quoted, or I would have lost one-half of my belongings. I hired, via the internet, All My Sons Moving & Storage of Bradenton / Sarasota / St. Petersburg on or about 5/1/14. I received a phone call from their owner a couple days before the move, which was scheduled on 5/9/14. We spoke for 20 minutes; we negotiated a final and total price of $119.00 per hour, plus 1 hour travel time. The movers arrived at 9:15 am. I received a phone call from the new house at 4:15 pm. The movers wanted to get paid in full up until 6 pm. They said they were not moving anything else off the truck until they were paid in full. I went there and asked for a price. The total time was 8.75 hours, plus 1 hour travel is 9.75 total hours, multiplied by $119.00 per hour, which would be $1160.25. No, they demanded just under $1,600.00 or they would keep the rest of my belongings that were yet to be unloaded from the moving truck.
I was put on the phone with the owner, he rambled on and on, item after item, of extra charges that were never disclosed to me. In particular, not in the prior phone conversation we had. The most egregious of all was that he wanted me to pay his employees for overtime. When I mentioned this to his employees, they said "We get this all the time", followed by "We work for tips only". Now, how can the owner demand overtime for his employees when they work for tips only and are not paid? Someone at All My Sons Moving & Storage is lying.
I felt sorry for the three guys and gave them $120, which was $40 a piece. This just added to my costs. The price should have been $1160 according to the 20-minute phone conversation I had with the owner, but it would up at $1700 with tip (which I paid only because they said they weren't paid). That is a 46% charge over what I was told by the owner during our 20-minute phone conversation. In addition, All My Sons Moving & Storage sent a truck far too small, either on purpose or because they are incompetent to complete the job in one trip. They wanted to go back and get my additional belongings that they couldn't put on the truck the first time. That could have doubled my price because at that time the employees that "worked for tips only" were on overtime for their boss.
After being coerced out of an extra $540, I wasn't, nor couldn't afford to have them continue their pre-meditated, well-orchestrated scheme. Now, I still have a house full of belongings that I have to pay another moving company to move. What I was lead to believe was going to cost me $1160, is going to cost more than double because of All My Sons Moving & Storage. This is just the tip of the iceberg as far as this scheme went. It went on to include an attempted fuel surcharge, tape, cardboard, overtime, and things I don't even know anything about. This was a total scam from beginning to end. I'll get by, but some customers with limited funds could wind up losing half of their possessions to this company. It's no wonder that they also have a "storage" facility. How many poorer people's belongings are in there?

Horrible! I contacted All My Sons to help me move my shed. Granted, it is not their forte, but I explained the situation, and they said they could do it. I have a 10' x 12' tool shed I needed moved and it all came apart into manageable sections. I set up the move for noon on Sat. at 11:30. They said they would be there within 45 min. Finally, at 1:00, they showed up. I filled out paper work and we got started on the shed. Somewhere along the way, someone told the moving crew that we were only moving the shed from the back yard to the front yard, even though I gave them a pick up address and a separate drop off address and told 3 different people over the phone that it needed to be moved from our old house to the new house.
Not a big deal but I would assume being a big company they would be able to keep things like that straight. We pulled off the roof of the shed, and they were starting to be reticent about the move. Granted, the roof has shingles and it was heavy. So I said I would take off the shingles and plywood so it would move easier. As I am pounding off the plywood, I hear their truck start up. No biggie I think. They're just backing into the driveway so we can load this. I get part way done and look around, and all 3 guys are nowhere to be found. I get a call 10 minutes later from one of the movers, and he says, "My boss says we can't do this. It won't fit on the truck". I specifically asked for a truck big enough that it would fit, and talked to each person before the move, to make sure it would work.
So here I am, with the roof partially off and torn apart, with no moving crew and no truck. I call the office, and get told that it won't fit on the truck and that they would not do the move. It was the only weekend I had to get the shed out or I lost it. Extremely frustrated and near breaking down. I called U-Haul and rented a truck and trailer for 4:30 that day. I called my wife and she called a friend, and we moved the thing ourselves. I am extremely disappointed with the work crews ethic when the going got a little hard, and the lack of courtesy I got showed. They left so fast, one of the guys left his full energy drink. If any of you at All My Sons are reading this, I want you to know, 2 women and I moved what you said was too hard. I guess in the end it worked out better. It would have been over $500 to have All My Sons move it, but the U-Haul truck and trailer only cost $75.
Reviewed May 2, 2014
Not only was the estimate thousands of dollars off but they only offered a 26' truck for 5 rooms of furniture plus two additional bedrooms. Couches were torn, legs broken off. To add insult to injury, we had to rent a U-Haul for the appliances.
