Want to roll the dice on the protection of your furniture and house? – then use All My Sons Moving in Raleigh, NC. All My Sons failed to protect wood floors in two homes -severely gouging floors in both homes through poor handling. Also damaged bedroom doorway by attempting to move through a chair clearly too wide to move through upright. In addition, dropped while loading into their truck a cherished Armoire completely breaking off a leg and side piece. Workers often carried out pieces that should have required two people to manage careening into walls and doorways. By far the worst experience in over 8 moves (5 cross country).

Completely disappointed in their business practices. They called us less than 24 hours before to cancel our move due to their own negligence. Showed up 7 hours late the next day for the move & ended up leaving over half our items because the time limit was up for the day. Will never recommend or use this company again.

I hired All My Sons to do a local move, did a video walk through on my 4,000 Sq ft house and was quoted for 2 BIG trucks and 6 movers, and packing and unpacking of my entire house. The morning of my move I was notified that a truck had broken down and I would only be getting 1 truck and 5 movers. A smaller truck arrived 2 hours later. I moved 2 miles from my original home and was back and forth between properties when I discovered money had been stolen from outside of a bday gift I had just received.

I called the manager he said his only recourse was that I call the police and that he would consent to the truck and his workers being searched. Shortly after the phone call one of the men handed my spouse the money. I continued with the move as I had to be out of the house that day as the new owners was moving in the next day. It took this company 12 hours, to move my household 2 miles, and they did not put any of the furniture back together, did not have any packing supplies, even though I paid for them to pack my entire house.

The manager called and stated that, the guys were in danger of violating their 14 hour work window and would have to drop everything, proceed to the new house and unload all my items without putting anything back together. These people dumped all my household good in my 3 car garage and left. However, they were paid 5k to move us, pack, unpack and none of that was done. I live in Maryland and if you come across the Springfield, VA location RUN!!!! Jermaine was beyond unprofessional and his movers were lazy, inexperienced, thieves that Ultimately made us have to pay other movers to sort the mess out they left behind.

The company lacked customer satisfaction and overcharged for items not utilized during the move. The movers sat outside awaiting a payment authorization that was sent the week before the move adding time to the final move time.. They were not on the same page at all.. This was the worst and will never use them again. I have yet to receive an itemized invoice of charges and never received a follow up call asking about my experience..

As I waited 12:00 passed So I called and they told me that they could get someone to do it for me. Waited about 10 minutes for someone to come to the phone. Then I showed him the little amount that I had which was in a 10x10 locker and he quoted me 13,000. You have got to be kidding me. I will never use you nor will I recommend you to anyone.

I hired these clowns to move a pool table from the seller's home to my home. I asked and was assured they were fully insured and bonded. On the move they dropped the 1 piece slate and broke a chunk out of it. When they delivered the table I was told I would be covered under their insurance and was sent information to file a claim. Upon filing my settlement offer was 60 cents a pound!!!. To sum that up 270 dollars for a 1000 dollar broken slate. I complained and they told me that I elected that coverage of insurance. I was not offered any sort of insurance options. They told me I signed paperwork proving that and when they provided it to me, my name was misspelled and it wasn't my signature. These guys are crooks. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. BUYER BEWARE.

Unbelievably bad! Deceptive, unfair, and manipulative sales practices (bait-and-switch, etc.). The absolute WORST moving company I have ever used (out of 26 moves in my life). It was one of the worst days of my life! I called 2 months in advance to schedule my move (specifically & purposely) on a weekday so that I would get a lower rate than a weekend. She quoted me $159/hr. for a Monday move (w/2 movers), which I thought was a bit high, but agreed to considering it's just a small 650 sq. ft. apartment. Fast forward to move day. They send 3 guys instead of 2 (moving at glacial pace). Then they wait until they loaded 80% of my belongings on the truck before coming to me with a tablet to sign. As I scrolled, it said $199/hr. instead of the $159 that I was quoted.

They also made no mention of the moving supplies they were charging me for and using without my consent. I brought this to their attention, and they said to call corporate. The supervisor on the phone gave nothing but pushback and repudiations. He said, "I can have my guys take all your stuff out of the truck and leave if you want." Obviously, I couldn't do that, and he knew it. Then it took 6 hours for 3 movers to move a single person (1-bed apt.) only 3.6 miles (10 minutes!) down the very same road! Not to mention, all the "moving supplies" that they charged me for without even asking if I needed or wanted them (which I did not). This company stole from me, and I will be contacting the BBB and every medium outlet I come across.

The company was over 4 hours late arriving to load the truck and 6 hours late arriving at the final destination. They broke parts and incorrectly assembled my baby grand piano, then completely demolished my Italian-made Michaelangelo replica bust. The claims department hung up on me three times when I filed the claim and when the claim was completed, I wasn't reimbursed even for the misassembling of my piano (that was on them). All in all, I wouldn't recommend this company and I won't be using them again.

In February of 2023 we hired ALL MY SONS MOVING & STORAGE to move us from Kansas City to St Joseph, MO. The initial quote included moving ALL of our items by truck and if it took more than one truck load, we would be charged accordingly. We had no problem with that. The problem was the four CHARACTERS they sent to move us filled up the first truck load with about 3/4's of our belongings and left about 1/4 to be moved in another truck. The second truck never showed up. These guys went off on their merry way. They left us HIGH AND DRY.

Speaking of HIGH, one of the MORONS was smoking ** on the side as they were moving. We know because we watched him. Bottom line is this; I'm 75 years old and my wife and I had to move the remainder of the items in our van and car by ourselves, which took 4 separate trips. We were in a rental house moving into our home in St Joseph that we bought and we needed to be out of the rental by the next day. We PLEADED with the office personnel to send another truck over and they said there were none available till next week.

I contacted the Better Business Bureau after all the dust settled, (so to speak) and they sent my message of settlement to All My Sons which was totally ignored. We want $1/4 of the money we gave them since they only did 3/4's of the job. I've waited till now (December 2023) to file this complaint with Consumer Affairs because we had to go through the items thoroughly to confirm that there are things missing. I will not get into that now, but there are definitely items missing. Point being is this; If you want problems with your moving company, by all means hire ALL MY SONS and you will not be disappointed.

Everything sounded good, they're on time to load and offload. We boxed almost everything ourselves and zero damage to everything WE PACKED. They put my safe on the truck wrapped in a blanket with the front facing the side of the truck. 900+ miles of movement wore the front panel through the blanket and scraped the front of the safe badly. Dresser mirror that we had packed in PODS on our first move from Kentucky to Dallas and was never damaged. Assuming AMS would be a great option over PODS was a mistake. It was broken when AMS moved it from Dallas to Kentucky.

The problems came with the claims customer service issues. I paid for the FULL VALUE PROTECTION assuming if something was broken it would be fully repaired or fully compensated for (DO NOT ASSUME THIS). The dresser mirror is a mirror aprox 45" x 35" with beveled mirror and antique mirror sections. I spent over a week trying to find an estimate for repair/replacement. Mirror alone estimate was $2900. Safe damaged was $300 for parts, and a mattress cover they cut cost was $75. AMS offered $660. They also ended up forgetting our birdbath in the cab of the truck. $225 value.

I've tried to get someone to talk with me over the phone to explain how they came to this number, procedures and see if we can negotiate this. I can not get the AMS Claim person to call me back or to answer the phone. I want to recommend AMS but I now strongly recommend you DO NOT have AMS move you. I have a Texas Department of Motor Vehicles Mediation Request ready to send in at noon tomorrow. We shall see how this plays out.

DO NOT USE!!!! This was the worst experience of my life other than the death of my father! The Oklahoma and Carrollton team showed up to move me from OKC to FL. I paid 20K for the move. I purchased full replacement insurance for $1400 that covered up to $93000 in damage. Day one 3 team members showed up to pack out a 3,000 sq ft house, lacking supplies, experience, and only finished maybe 1/3 of the job. Then they began placing all my very expensive furniture outside and in my garage completely UNWRAPPED AND DIRECTLY ON THE GROUND AND CONCRETE. I tried stopping them and talking with the "main guy" which did nothing.

I tried calling Bryan who was my salesman for lack of better words and Ryan the manager in OKC several times. Neither would answer or call me back. More than half of my furniture was damaged just from them brining it out of my house and setting it outside! Also, significant damage was done in my home to walls, floors, stairs, and woodwork. I spent several hours after the crew left that evening, wrapping up the furniture myself and also finished packing out the house, because they just left and didn't finish the job. It took me almost all night and I had to have 2 people come help me. The boxing situation consisted of them just going through and dumping any and everything in boxes, not wrapped, labeled, organized, or barely taped.

I again tried calling Bryan and Ryan who wouldn't answer. They ran out of supplies and asked ME to go buy them more and pay for them myself, which I refused to do. The next day the truck showed up 3 hours late, it was supposed to be a semi to fit all of my things. It was 2 small bobtails from Dallas, hence why it was 3 hours late. I had to get on the phone and deal with now Dallas people over the inconsistency and the crew was upset with the way things were placed outside and not wrapped up and didn't wanna load it unwrapped and get in trouble!!! They didn't have what they needed though, so they threw some blankets on some things and crammed it all in the 2 small trucks so it would fit. I was livid and dealing now with Dallas, as the guys from OKC wouldn't help me, come out and see what was happening and I was taking pictures already of the unbelief and all the damage that was already done to much of the furniture.

I had a plane to catch with 3 children, 3 dogs, and fly across the country and just leave them there to finish up. They get my load to FL, show up with only 3 crew members to unload it. They were 3 hours late again. It took them 12 hours to unload the stuff, they were only able to put ONE of FIVE beds together because the parts were lost or broken to the rest!!! It was the worst thing I've ever seen. Now, I have had to spend WEEKS going back through this whole house. Over 43 items were severely damaged from furniture to art to lots of breakables. I've taken pictures of it all, looked up where I paid for it and how much it will cost to replace, Sent pictures to the claim department 3 times!!!!

Trying to get $30K worth of damaged or missing items replaced. I cannot speak with any humans anywhere and some claims specialist named A. ** has sent me to settlement offers via docusign. The 1st for $1300 and when I refused now one for $2300! Remember the $1400 I spent on the full replacement insurance.... where is it now???? I've been dealing with this since June 15, so now I guess I will turn it over to a money hungry lawyer so I can sue them and at least get my items replaced that I paid the insurance for!!!! This has been the worst business dealings imaginable. Please USE ANY OTHER COMPANY!!!!

Contracted with All My Sons Moving on 10/19/23 for a 11/1/23 move. Specifically told the lady I spoke with that I preferred morning move (8AM-11AM window). A few days before the move, Adam called to state our move window was actually from 11AM-2PM. Moving from storage unit to apartment building. Called shortly after 12:30PM on move date to be told they were running behind but would arrive before 4PM. Guys called and we met them at the storage unit at 1:15PM. Of course, we're now on the clock. By the time Taylor got all the paperwork confirmed AGAIN, it was already after 1:30PM when he and his helper finally started moving items. Took almost 3 hours to load a 10x15 storage unit. Come to find out, the 2nd guy was only 4 days on the job. They had to re-position items in the truck several times. We finally left the storage unit going only 6 minutes up the road.

When they got ready to unload, they wanted payment. Payment was more than double what had been quoted on the front end and agreed to at the storage unit. But had to pay to get our stuff unloaded. We helped them unload since they were charging us for a 5-hour move. With our help, we saved 1.25 hours labor (which I haven't been refunded for yet). Guys damaged a headboard and broke a glass lamp. Guys were nice but didn't seem to be concerned with how long it was taking. Even commented that the earlier move they did was upset that it took them so long. No wonder they were late to our move. Will not use them again and don't recommend.

The movers were great. They carefully wrapped all furniture, not a scratch or dent made, although it took more time than other movers we had. Here is the rip-off because of hidden fees. There is an 18% fuel surcharge on the Total Bill, NOT the mileage. The move took 6 hours at $179 an hour. The total distance was 21 miles. Now, we had to pay $179 for their time just to drive to our place and for their drive back to their warehouse. BUT! We paid $251 for their "fuel surcharge" which included the time they took, plus fees for "packing tape", "wrapping plastic", "moving blankets", etc. You get the picture. The charge was not removeable no matter what I said. The estimate was between $700 an $1000. But the final bill was almost $1600 because of the hidden and non-disclosed fees. This company is nothing short of a lying, money hungry, cheat you for all they can company. Stay away, far away, from this company.

My family and I experienced such a horrible move with All My Sons. It was a complete nightmare and we are still recovering from the distress we encountered with this company. As a professional that works in the residential industry, I understand so intimately how stressful and draining moving can be on a household. This is why customers seek help for moving, the cost is very high and not ideal but for the service you make the sacrifice to pay. I can assure you, please do not sacrifice your household's money paying for moving expenses with this company. On moving day, we were scheduled to start our move at 9 am, no one ever arrived. My husband and I had to call several time for an update. The movers didn’t arrive to our home until 4 hours later.

They explained they were handling another move and double booked apparently, totally unacceptable but we gave them grace and tried to be understanding although it totally messed up our moving schedule. My husband and family had to start packing up our own vehicles in lieu of all my sons being so late and totally disregarding the scheduled time. Once the movers arrived, they were not prepared. We were promised that the cost include, materials, packing, wrapping items, breaking down furniture, packing and unloading accordingly. To top off the fact that they were late with little to no apology, they came with NO SUPPLIES OR TOOLS! They were not able to wrap our furniture, and couldn’t break down our beds. My family had to go to the store to pick up wrapping supplies and they used boxes to break down and wrap our furniture with.

At this point, I couldn’t believe the unprofessionalism and the fact that they didn’t come prepared to provide the services to be paid for. This not only prolonged the moving process but made it super stressful and unbearably horrible. In the process of incorrectly moving our items without properly wrapping them, they damage my expensive tv stand. How could you, provide such horrible service and then mishandle people's items with such disrespect? If you weren’t prepared, shouldn’t have management got involved and rescheduled or came and brought the supplies to make sure items weren’t damaged during their professional services. Well, that didn’t happen, we were treated with no respect and as if our move didn’t matter to them. We had to call management several times and not only were they disrespectful and rushed us off the phone they just sent us to claims department that only offered $100!!!!

After an almost $1,000 move, we ended up with stress, damaged furniture, we had to hire new movers because they never packed up all of our items or broke down our beds. I truly expected to be reimbursed after their movers didn’t have the proper supplies to wrap my items that were sentimental to my family. Until this day we received $0, no communication from management or apologies. As a manager myself, I practice good business habits and this is truly bad business, all around. The management team should be ashamed. My family and I should have received a refund or for the movers to come back and finish our move due to their lack of preparation but no, they rushed and lacked professionalism and treated my family with total disrespect. Their movers communicated with us that they ran out of supplies which was to be included in their labor and hourly that we paid.

Due to this, they didn't wrap our items properly. They assured us it would be fine with them moving the items but that was not the case at all. Between the movers being 4 hours late, to not having proper supplies, making us late for our loading dock appointment and then to end the day cracked my tv stand which is the highlight of our living room. Truly a nightmare from beginning to end! Plus, no inventory list was gone over, so this should be handled with fairness and respect to your customer. I am super disappointed, this crack was due to your movers not having proper supplies and ramming our items into the truck, which was not done properly.

They rolled it on the hardwood floor, got it to garage and started to roll it over the concrete!!! I said stop they will damage it. After a long conversation they said, "We can't move it" and left it leaning against the garage door. We tried to tell the company about the table, but didn't want to know. BTW it was a 66" 3/4 " thick glass top. They overcharged us and we still have not received a refund. We called numerous times and put on hold only to be disconnected!!! Terrible customer service, Terrible people skills!! Please be aware, DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Alright. I'm tired of being gaslit that no one took my big 40-gallon, black and red container full box of video games. Mostly Sims 2 games, but that's besides the point. Sure, I can buy more, but I had those things since high school and they're just gone. GONE. I KNOW ya'll made off with them (and Lord knows what else, most likely some documents or artwork you threw away) and I KNOW ya'll took advantage of the fact I couldn't make it to the unpacking session due to a hospital emergency. I trusted you slimes with my key from the front desk and everything seemed to be in order, but after unpacking over the months, I found the games were GONE.

Just a 3 hour move across state. I move a lot and I ALWAYS am present for a load-up and unpacking. The ONE time I couldn't make it for the unloading of COURSE someone gets sticky fingers for my video games. Go stuff yourselves you thieving **. The ONLY thing you moving companies are doing is making people just rent U-Hauls, hire people to watch your slime-behinds, or put tracking devices on their property or cameras in their destination like they should have done all along and it shouldn't have to come to this, but you all are to blame. I learned a lesson in this. You people are NOT to be trusted and unless someone is watching you and following you like a fly on manure, you WILL swipe a shiny that catches your eye. Only reason this didn't get a one-star is because, surprise, surprise, for the most part, it wasn't a total horror story, because, I mean, at LEAST I didn't come home to an empty new house.

Only thing was I gained a black fold-out table in the mix, because this thing isn't mine. I'm sure either someone else's stuff was with my stuff in the truck and got switched out with the table by mistake, or someone just stole my games. Either way, Alan, the coordinator in my move. I know you weren't there, but watch your moving boys better. They're making off like bandits with people's belongings. And I chose this company over Mayflower, because that lady who came over seemed sketchy and was over-charging me with three backdoor parties in the mix, but Alan seemed pretty clean cut and knew what he was talking about. Learned another lesson...looks can be deceiving in this line of business.

This company is terrible when it comes to moving. They sent us three movers, and they spent most of their time sitting on the stairways and using drugs. Instead of completing the job in the estimated 6 hours, they took 12 hours, and then charged us for the full 12 hours. To make matters worse, they damaged several fragile items and even stole some of our belongings. We've made multiple calls to their office and especially with an operation manager, TERRY **, but the manager is extremely rude and dishonest. I strongly advise against using this moving company; their service is simply unacceptable....They are unprofessional, rude, irresponsive etc. In a word, this moving company is TERRIBLE...

They showed up in a 26' PENSKE truck, which I thought was unprofessional for a nationwide company. They made me hire a 3rd guy or said they couldn't do my move (a 1200 sf condo). They charged me more than DOUBLE the estimated cost, When I said I didn't want to pay that, they threatened to take all my stuff that was on the truck, so they forced me to pay the amount they gave. They didn't pack the truck well and said they couldn't fit all my stuff in. I had to rent a 16 foot truck to move all they left. Then they threw most of my stuff in the garage because they said it was either that, or pay them overtime. And the management won't do anything to make this right!!! What a SCAM.

We agreed on the rate to move from a one bedroom apartment to another one bedroom. We talked about the distance in travel and the hourly rate. The total price after the unload of my furniture was $800.00 over the total price he quoted me in July (over a $1k). I called several times on 9/19 to speak with Vinny, but was transferred to another manager named DJ who would review my file and get back with me, which he didn’t.

I called the next day 9/20 and spoke with Chris. He didn’t call back as well, so finally I contacted the corporate office. Spoke with a Joe, he transferred me back to Chris. No one wanted to take ownership and apologize for the false advertisement. I hate I used this company and if you need to move please seek some other company who believes in excellent service and can stand by their word. The movers were over 4 hours late. The level of ethics and professionalism are below zero not to mention the profanity they used in the presence of my children and I. They did not wrap or protect any of my belongings from the rain and much worse they kept dripping sweat on my couches and mattresses and everything else. They damaged my dryer to the point I had to purchase a new one. They damaged my dining table and my sectional couch. Over $1800 in damages.

One of the owners Scott told me they would take care of me but it’s been over a month and he never did anything he’s not even replied to my email. I was sent a claim form which I filled out and emailed to them including pictures of the damaged items and they have sent me a settlement offer in the amount of $264. Which is a mockery. Quoted for move at $475. Included a 7 piece couch that they said would have to be wrapped and 4 bar stools that would have to be wrapped. Called back and gave an update saying the couch and bar stools sold so there would be 13 pieces less to move and their overall material cost. The representative said it would come off in the end since the time would would be so significant of a difference. The guys get there to start moving and tell them I sold the furniture, and their exact words were. “Great, sounds like we have time to chill” I knew from that moment this move was not going to go anything how it should with just the ethics that these movers had.

Walked outside, found one of them doing push-ups, and they were trying to upsell me on adding a third mover the whole time in Quote and told them everything is already done, they really don’t have to do anything but just move the furniture in place. It was a bed, a box spring, entertainment stand, treadmill and two tvs. 2 people seemed adequate enough the last time I moved for $380 with the movers I had before, a different company I will be scouring the ends of the earth to find their contact information and they broke down the bed, mounted the tv, placed the furniture in the home how I wanted them to. With All My Sons Moving and Storage, they did nothing.

I walked the guys through two rooms they only had to stage and told them where everything goes. They shoved everything into one bedroom and said it wouldn’t all fit at the end while I am trying work at home at the same time. I packed all my own boxes, they only had to place the furniture and couldn’t even do that. 7 large pieces of furniture they just shoved into the bedroom so when you get down to the last piece of course it’s not going to fit. I was just appalled the guys just kept making excuses. They said they couldn’t touch the tv cause it was mounted, another thing all 5 of my movers have done is the past. Called and talked to the dispatcher and he defended the guys and said the original rep I spoke with said I should add a third mover, this was before I sold everything and felt like they didn’t care what I sold. They were gonna charge me what they wanted from the start of the second person I talked to.

I told him I caught one of the guys doing push-ups outside after the move already started and sitting in the truck and hanging outside for long periods of time., still charged me $700 for a move I had I already did 8 Months ago with twice the furniture, all assembly completed and mounting for half the price. This company cares more about their bottom line and expense cost rather than getting the job done right and I will forever share this experience within my community as well as others here in Colorado Springs as well as my entire network to ensure people understand this company does not care about its customers. They were overcharging me from the start and will find my original movers who took care of me and had work ethics.

On top of all that, All My Sons gave a $50 booking discount, but when it came time to pay, I was informed that it was "illegal" to offer such a promotion and that I would not be receiving the $50 discount. I recently hired All My Sons Moving & Storage in OKC. It was an utter fiasco. This is truly unfortunate, because I had a very successful move, with exactly the same furnishings three years ago with All My Sons, however I did not have the same experience at all this time.

    1. The moving team consisted of 3 individuals. I was quoted 2 movers, for 2 hours for $450. This was not the case; I have been charged over $1300 for what should have been a 2 hour move. The 3rd individual included on the team was so useless he should not have even been there. He not only did very little other than walk around the home being emptied, he dropped, banged and mishandled my belongings. On more than one occasion he had to be instructed on the spatial reasoning of how a 40" cabinet would not go straight through a 36" door opening. He had no sense whatsoever. He was very nonchalant and reckless with everything. I am very upset to have been made to pay for his time.

    2. The movers only filled the truck with boxes for 2 hours (it should not have taken that long), and then loaded my furniture as an afterthought the third hour after they arrived. I actually had to move a lot of furnishings myself after they had left, because they simply didn't load the furniture first, and then boxes. As a matter of fact, they loaded my garage first, without consulting me. As most people know, garage items can be the last moved. I could have moved those myself. Again, no sense of priority or planning.

    3. All 3 of the moving team had little to no respect for my belongings. These are just the things witnessed: Dollies were dropped from the step out the door with furnishings and boxes. You could hear and see items banging against the ground. The headboard of one of my beds was dropped from the lift 4' to the ground; requiring an insurance claim, as the corner of the headboard is smashed. An antique headboard was scratched all along the front, by the feet of an ottoman as one of the movers loaded it; also requiring a claim. Although wrapped by them, in plastic my mattress was marked with black marks on the side of the nearly new mattress (I assume from a dolly and being dragged on the ground; requiring a claim.

    4. In order to finish up the move, me, my sister and brother-in-law had to assist in unloading the truck just to get the move completed.

    5. The final settling of the bill was ridiculous. It was done on a tablet, without being able to see an itemized list of my charges. Additionally, I was made to sign for the invoice, before the tablet would even open. It took 2 weeks to get an itemized invoice of my move.

I don't know if it is the MWC, OK location that is the problem, but after posting a review on Yelp, there are many stories with exactly the same outcome; disrespect for belongings, shifty business practices for quoting low, and then sending large teams out to jack up the price of the move, a lot of broken and damaged furnishings. The corporate office should look into the practices at this location, and replace the management, because it is very bad.

Do not use this company under any circumstances unless you want to be lied to, scammed, and overcharged for mediocre work. I am only leaving this review because I have been blown off by the Stratford CT branch of All My Sons for the better part of the week so far after being told the manager, Amanda, is "in a meeting" at all times of the day almost every day this week. This was my experience with them this past weekend:

-We were moving within Connecticut out of a 1 bedroom apartment and were told a base price of $1400 included 2 hours of labor and a flat 3 hours of travel. We were told over the phone that the flat 3 hours of travel would cover all of our travel that would be required for our move (traffic would not affect this as they use google maps to estimate travel) and the only additional add ons would be any materials used and/or $199 per hour for any additional labor beyond the 2 hours included. We chose this company due to competitor prices being around $2000-$2200 and figured All my Sons would end up being below that.

-It ended up taking 4 hours just to load the truck at my old apartment which we quickly realized was because of the fact 1 of the 3 workers we hired was standing around, not doing anything, and was very frequently off task. Beyond my fiancé and I noticing this, the other workers were even pointing this out to each other many times and we could hear them yelling at him. After the 4 hours of loading the truck, they left our apartment at 12:20 and we left shortly after, with the destination being Avon CT which is about an hour and 15 minutes away.

We were told they would have to take a different highway than us due to the limitations of the truck and that it may take a little bit longer which we said was fine as we were told the travel was a flat rate. They did not arrive to our new apartment until 4:15 PM (4 hours after they left) and we were immediately told that they stopped for food and also had to meet another crew for a gas card then go to a truck gas station and get gas before driving to Avon through heavy traffic.

-This is where we realized we were lied to and had fallen victim to a classic Bait and Switch. When they arrived, one of the workers came over and said I needed to pay the balance before they would start unloading. At which time, he gave me an Ipad that showed a bill of $3,600. I was shocked and did not know what to do so the worker called his office and I was told over the phone that they were charging the $199 per hour since they arrived at 8:45 AM including the time they took in traffic, getting food and gas, and also forecasted that it would take an additional 3 hours to unload the truck. When I argued with the person over the phone about the time to get food and gas, he said they would "do me a favor" and take 1 hour of cost off of the bill despite it taking 4 hours for them to drive a distance that only took us 1 hour and 15 minutes.

-Realizing that they had scammed me and I had no choice, I paid the balance so that they would give us our stuff back and start unloading. The third worker continued to do little to no work and slowed the entire operation down. Seeing this, I quickly started to help them carry my own stuff into my new apartment and was easily outworking 1 if not 2 of the workers there. I also ended up hurting my back in the process and we still only finished about 15 minutes shy of the 7 PM estimated deadline.

    - Prior to us even completing the unloading of the truck, the same worker brought over the Ipad again and had me sign a number of contractual agreements that gave away all of my rights to complain about any inventory being broken or damaged by the workers during the move. At the point of signing, there were still boxes on the truck and we also had not even had a chance to look inside of a single one. I still have not had a chance to get through to a supervisor to file a formal complaint regarding the service we were given and I would never in a million years recommend this company to anyone after the numerous predatory business practices they employed on us.

The crew was slow, on their phones, talking, standing around, watching my Mother and I use their hand trucks to move boxes, and completely unorganized. The crew sat on my cloth chairs with sweat pouring off their bodies. Again I just cried because I couldn't believe I was in this type of situation. Only one floor mat was put down at the front door of both houses. Both homes had hardwood floors. My Mother had to direct them constantly to stop dragging furniture and scratching the floors. My new sofa and loveseat were drag on the driveway and cushions drag through the grass.

The crew complained about All My Sons the whole day and discussed getting new jobs. The crew also spoke about how unorganized All My Sons is and explained that is why they didn't have enough moving blankets and supplies I paid for. Customer service is horrible or should I say non-existent. Phone calls are not answered or returned. Two dressers, a mirror, a large wooden cross, a large 4-drawer pine cabinet, a new sofa, a new loveseat, new Ikea shelves, wood floors, shelves, etc. were scratched and damaged.

I sent numerous pictures to All My Sons of how the furniture was wrapped and damaged. NOT ONE SINGLE PHONE CALL TO APOLOGIZE was received. I paid All My Sons almost $6,000 for my move and it cost me $3,000 or more in damaged furniture. We contracted All My Sons to move us from one city to 4 1/2 hours away in the same state. This occurred over a 2-day period as the drivers are not allowed by law to work over a certain number of hours per day. So far all was good. Moving day came and the team were friendly and smiling, loaded up everything and took off for the day to unload the next day at our new home. Our old home was 1 story and the new one is 2 stories.

The next day seemed like a completely different crew. All business, not so friendly but did have a lot to do and it was VERY hot. Certainly understandable. A few expensive lamps got completely smashed, big desk leg/support snapped off and some furniture had some dings as well as a few of the walls as well. Not a big deal. They said to file a claim, which we did. More about that later.

Got it all done after a longer than anticipated day, or so we thought. After they left and were about 20 minutes away, we noticed that a very large antique armoire was not in the upstairs room with the other antique furniture that were together in our old home. I called one of the movers who said they would turn around to return but had to call their office as they also asked me to do. Now this armoire is 8' tall, 4' wide and 2 1/2' deep. No physical way for us to muscle it upstairs. In fact, it was deep into the garage with big moving boxes and bins in front of it and could not easily be seen. We were told they would NOT be returning as they were needed in a different location the next morning. We were told we could call their Customer Care team, but it was pretty much too bad for us is the impression we got as we got no help and were not going to get any help from them, not any refund for paying to have that moved as well.

The claim for the broken lamps was also not great but I understand the dynamics in play. You do have the option to buy additional insurance, but the cost is very high considering that really nothing much should be damaged. We opted for the standard insurance which pays $.60 per pound. We did receive money for the lamps, and actually a bit more than expected per them, but no resolution to the armoire issue even though I mentioned it several times to the person handling the lamp issue. On the plus side, we were paid literally instantly once we agreed to the settlement for the lamps. So based on experience, it will cost us approximately $200.00 to get 4 strong guys to CAREFULLY take it upstairs for us. It is still in the garage.

Pros: Arrived promptly, courteous, worked throughout time in home.

Cons: During setup at new home, the workers just disappeared without notice and without finishing unpacking and setting up furniture. Called office in Jacksonville, Brad the supervisor said he would send someone to complete the job. That never happened. The bill was much higher than expected. The cost of materials is high and not included in the estimate. You have to pay when the initial packing is completed, so there is no recourse if something untoward happens. No wonder the moving business has such a bad reputation.

The absolute worst moving experience of my life. I contracted for this move for the sake of moving my piano with these “experienced piano movers”. The crew showed up one person short and acted appalled that there was a piano in front of them. Upon asking them why they were surprised by the piano, all three men stated they’d never moved a piano before and that they didn’t know how. (I’d spoken to the estimator and manager prior to scheduling to ensure they could move it. They came out and looked at the piano in fact.) One man stated, “That’s okay, we can look at YouTube videos to take it apart”. After hours of waiting for a manager to arrive to help with moving the final item, the piano, he told me they couldn’t move it. (I’ve had it moved twice in the last 10 years with no issue.)

The movers took 5 hours to arrive at destination - It’s a 3 hour drive. They offloaded everything within 40 minutes (I had about 10 pieces of furniture and maybe 10 boxes - no piano). Again, could’ve done it all with my own pickup truck if I knew they’d not move the piano. I paid the movers the total on the manager’s word that he would call me and send a receipt so we could go over charges and make some discounts to make up for the broken contract. I was never able to get a receipt until spending 7 hours on hold in total and sending multiple emails. The receipt I have gotten shows an increase of $400 from the original cost estimate which included additional crew members, 5 hours anticipated loading/offloading time, and a freaking piano which was never moved.

Everyone I’ve spoken to has given me the run around and has been short with me. One person even told me he had other customers to speak to and told me he didn’t have time for me. I’ve been hung up on and I’ve received no discount other than one they claim which I can’t even see on paper. I paid for services which were not rendered and now I’ve lost my piano because I had to leave it behind in a rental unit which made my landlords very unhappy. Bottom line, these guys aren’t experienced, they’re not transparent on anything, and they aren’t professional. Don’t give them your money. I learned the hard way.

There is nothing good I can say about this company. Please check with Better Business Bureau reviews before you contract with them. Their corporate office did nothing to help us with our situation. I have worked in customer service my entire career. My husband owned a franchise business. We would never talk to customers the way the managers spoke to us. First problem is they wouldn't send a salesperson to our home to determine our needs for our move. When the crew arrived in a small rented truck and a slightly large truck with their name, they were very happy with our preparations but requested another truck be sent. We had to leave to drive to our new home for closing. We received a call from the crew saying they had left furnishings behind.

When I called the office I was told it was my problem, not their problem. They told me to drive my @@@@ back and rent a UHaul. We had to send friends to retrieve the rest of our belongings. Then they told us they wanted additional payment before their trucks arrived. Our bank was alarmed at their attempts to charge our account. We agreed to $2000; they took $3000. The next day before they unloaded they required additional payment. They then agreed to retrieve the rest of our furnishings from our friends storage. This truck wasn't big enough either! And our possessions weren't delivered until two days later. There was damage to items on this delivery. Our friends delivered the rest on their own. We called the nationwide office to report our concerns. They did nothing but had the franchise call and rant at us again.

All My Sons moving company was terrible from the call center all the way to moving my items. The call center booked me for a 8-9am move this morning, but your movers arrived after 11am, started their time at 1115 when they hadn’t moved a single item until after 12! You sent one guy that says he’s been doing this for 4yrs and 1 that just started this week. That alone is bad scheduling. A new person should be placed with a 3 man team training. He was absolutely clueless! Then your guy with 4yrs experience placed my supporting feet for the racks on the underside of my bed on backwards and they fell out pretty much immediately. Good thing I looked under my bed to my surprise and saw 3 of them just laying there not even in the boards! I had to point out how to put them in.

Your call center failed to mention a fuel charge, a minimum of 3 hrs and the hour charged to come to the location. They have damaged furniture, dirtied walls and doors. I moved to Tn initially 2 years ago from Ms (3hr plus drive) and the movers took less time to get me moved (same 3 beds and furniture). I literally moved to a house in the same neighborhood today (2 minutes drive). Your company has charged me $1473 today and this is downright robbery for an inadequate 2 person crew to take double the time necessary, leaving me with damaged furniture and not to mention my entire family having to move stuff down to the truck and then assisting with getting items into the house due to how slow everything was being done. I am lost for further words but I am truly disappointed in All My Sons moving company. This has been one of the most awful experiences for sure.

ALL MY SONS AKA ALL MY SCAMS Is the most unethical company I’ve ever had to work with!

THE BREAKDOWN: I was originally quoted just under $500 for a small one bedroom, with two movers and was told it should take no more than two hours. Paid my $100 deposit, and was told I would get a confirmation call a week before the move. I received no call so I called them 2 days before my move date, and suddenly I’m told I need three men vs original quoted two despite the same information provided both times. It felt like an upsell so I pushed back. They also never gave a time frame so I had to just wait until they were ready as if I were doing them a favor.

THE MOVE: Moving day comes and I got two very young disgruntled men that complained the entire time about the stairs (2 flights). They were moving so slow that my sister and I had to step in and bring stuff down for the sake of time. I had to dismantle my own bed, and wrapped most of my own furniture because of the snail pace they moved in. It took them OVER THREE HOURS just to load my small 1 bedroom apt in the truck, and two more to unload.

THE SET UP: Once we arrived at my new location, I’m told my balance would be likely over $1,200!!! The mover called dispatch and it was changed to $950, which was a $500 upcharge. I brought shrink wrap for the furniture, the movers refused to use and insisted on using their own. This warranted their $150 “supplies fee”. I had no choice. One of the movers confronted me about a “gratuity” on the work my sister and I had to help with. When I mentioned I didn’t have cash, he mentioned his “cash app”. Stupidly I sent him a small tip so he can leave my space immediately.

THE CONCLUSION: If you care about your time, money, and items DO NOT HIRE ALL MY SONS. They use bait and switch tactics, and unethical business practices to take advantage of people trying to simply transition into a new place.

TL:DR. Keep looking. This company can and will scam you. They are not real professionals at all.

I initially got a quote from All My Sons Moving and Storage on 7/17/23 for $167.95 an hr for moving a 1 bedroom apartment on Saturday 7/29/23. I had multiple conversations before I actually signed the contract and not once did somebody tell me that there was a minimum of 5 hr labor time on weekends. I found that information out after the move was complete and I called to inquire as to why my bill was so high. Had that information been disclosed to me, I would have never booked All My Sons Moving in the first place. I even told the movers there was stuff I didn’t want them to move because I felt it would take them longer, which would then cut into the $167.95 an hour rate they quoted me. Not once did someone say, "We’re going to charge you for a minimum of 5 hours."

I understand that I signed a contract, in which the mover told me that I didn’t need to read over, but regardless I feel like I was duped into agreeing to a contract that I would’ve never agreed to if the rate was quoted more accurately to begin with (ie a minimum of $839.75= $167.95 x 5 hours). I’m not asking for a full refund, but rather than making it right. The move took a total of 3.2 hours, and 30 minutes of that was parking an oversized truck which was completely unnecessary for a 1 br. move to begin with.

I voiced my concern to the operations manager Gabriel ** but his concern was only about how a refund would reflect on his audit and not how they failed to disclose that it was a 5 hr minimum of labor time. Gabriel then accused me of threatening him after I told him I was going to leave reviews and contact the Better Business Bureau for failing to disclose that it was a 5 hr minimum of labor time. Once again, I understand that I signed a contract, but it was a contract that I mislead and duped into signing in the first place. I really hope that All My Sons Moving can make this awful situation right. Regardless of whether or not All My Sons can provide a resolution, I hope my experience can provide an opportunity to improve their deceptive business practices.

They were claimed that they unable to reach me via phone, so I confirmed my phone number. The day of the move, I'm waiting for a phone call to confirm their arrival. After waiting hours, I call for a status update, only to be told they were cancelling my move, and that once again, they were unable to reach me via phone. When I asked if they left a voicemail, I was informed, and I quote "I wasn't the one who made the call." I asked them to test the phone number, and they did not.

I called back again, spoke with someone else, and when they attempted to call, it came through. They had been lying to me, and were making it as if I was at fault. They provided me with two options: wait a week, or a full deposit. I was moving to a new residence, meaning, I was not able to remain in the previous residence for another week. Therefore, I opted for the full refund, and was able to secure another moving company that moved me on short notice. I did receive my money, but I am still thoroughly displeased with how they do business.

Consider yourself forewarned to not use All My Sons Moving and Storage to move your belongings in the Kansas City Area. Much of my elderly mother's furnishings were recently damaged or destroyed by the mishandling and negligence of the AMS moving crew. Lampshades and pottery smashed to smithereens because they weren't protected nor secured. Dressers flipped upside-down and drug across the van floor without blankets to protect them. Chips, scrapes, and gouges out of almost every other item. Irreparable damage to antiques and a 55" TV (in addition to all the previously mentioned damage) was completely avoidable and the "compensation" of 60 cents per pound doesn't come close to covering this negligence.

There would've been far more damage had I not insisted they properly pack artwork (with the bubble wrap WE had on hand). The contract included additional fees for them to pack the entire household but when the 4 movers arrived (2 with zero experience) they claimed they didn't know they would be packing and were not properly prepared with packing materials so they wanted to only shrink-wrap everything. I assume that some of the good reviews are coming from cities where the crew was more careful and better prepared but DON'T use this company in KC!

I moved on March 27, 2023. The movers arrived and began packing my furniture. They were all very courteous, especially the one in charge. That gentleman, that I was watching, did a great job of wrapping and protecting my furniture. Unfortunately his crew of 3 other men did not. They used stretch wrap on furniture but no blankets or pads to protect from scratches. No wrap of any kind on my oak dining chairs. They actually had everything packed on the truck within 4 hours. The drive to my new home is 2.5 hours. I left an hour after the truck and arrived an hour before the truck. When they arrived they were in a hurry to get unloaded and back to Murfreesboro.

Dropped and dragged furniture which resulted in gouges and scrapes on my hardwood floors. The gentleman in charge said they would send someone to repair the damage. That never happened. The estimate for the floor repair alone was $2500.00. Two of my dining chairs now have scratches and so does my guest room dresser. After filing claims and fighting with the company for 3 months, the best they offered for all of the damages was $420.00. I took it to put towards repairing the floors but am thoroughly disgusted with the way this company handled the situation. Would definitely not recommend this company.

I am a Purple Heart Disabled Veteran who needed to have a move of about a two bedroom tiny apt. There was only ONE (1) Bedroom of furniture containing two wood dressers, one large the other small and a King Size Wood Bed that was NOT WRAPPED and about 20 boxes and living room items such as a dining room set table with 8 chairs (That I wrapped taken down and prepared for the move MYSELF). One large stereo cabinet, a China cabinet and a china case. A sofa with three arm chairs.

My other items were not moved due to the fact that this company sent 3 young ** guys who were not trained to move but trained how to waste time talking on the cell phone with the job manager and taken one item moving it to one spot then placing it down and then picking it up again to put it on the elevator that I only had a 4 hour time frame to use. These guy first came late wasting my moving time then moved so slowly that they waste the elevator time I was allowed. From the few Items they did get on the elevator they did not put them on the truck, they put them on the ground. Returned back for move item in the same moving manner. They moved their truck twice when there was NO REASON to move the truck only to waste time.

The whole time the guy acting like the crew leader talk about was How this company INFLATES Customers' Fees by almost TRIPLE the Discussed moving charge. This is EXACTLY WHAT THIS GUY DID. MY ESTIMATE MOVING CHARGE WITH ALL FEES WAS $1400.00. Due to the fact my elevator time was wasted the guys did not complete my move. They had to load the truck and take the items to the next location. They took TWO LUNCH BREAKS just to continue to waste time. When they finally arrived to my next location they had to walk up to my apt. and inspect and estimate the time it will take to UNLOAD the truck. ALL 3 of the guys had to do this.

Before they touched anything on the truck I had to paid what I was told my Final Moving Charges which NOW DOUBLED IN PRICE from $1400.00 to $2120.00. Next after paying that fee I was told that I had an additional fee $150.00 in supplies they used after I told them that I did not want to use any of their items because I already had those supplies. The Crew leader told me that BY THE OWNER'S RULES THEY MUST USE THE ITEM REGARDLESS IF THE CUSTOMER WANTS THEM OR NOT. Well the event was not over. They left a few expensive pieces of furniture claiming that they could not get the headboard of the bed on the elevator which was NOT TRUE. At least an hour and a half passed until I was told this so I had to EXPLAIN to them how to put the Headboard on the lift.

Next I was handed the Crew leader's phone show that I owed an ADDITIONAL FEE of $600.00 because the movers had to work over the time they allowed because they did not know how to put two Items on the lift. The Crew leader asked me that if I paid him $200.00 in CASH he would tell his boss that I did not have the extra $600.00 I was being charged. This was the BONUS Mr. ** told me that his company PAYS his crews to work fast and keep down the cost of a move. Inflated cost such as a 18% fuel charge which totaled $350.00 for driving 36 miles from the company's location to my both apts. and a $229.00 Fee for the use of the truck the same rate charge per hour for the move.

This crew claimed that they had filled a 26 foot truck with my items but I have photo showing that they on used less than a quarter of the truck and they did not finished the entire move. I am WHEEL CHAIR BOUND and I Moved twice as much items and faster than anyone of those Young 19 - 22 year old guys this company sent to to this job who they CLAIMED WERE TRAINED MOVERS.

The Only thing those guy were trained to do was to Waste time to make money for the company and the Cash They get for themselves. THEY WERE NOT GIVEN ANY TIP OTHER THAN THE COST OF THE SUBWAY SANDWICHES I PURCHASED FOR THEIR FIRST LUNCH BREAK. I am going to File Charges against this company because they are a TOTAL Con Artist Operation. IF THIS COMPANY IN SPRINGFIELD VA WILL DO THIS TO THE DISABLED WHAT DO YOU THINK THEY WILL DO TO YOU?

My experience with All My Sons Moving & Storage was an utter disappointment. Despite booking a 3-person packing and moving crew a month in advance, Nate, the representative, gave me the runaround after he pressured me to upgrade to a larger crew. To make matters worse, a team of two movers arrived nine hours late with a work order indicating they were only to move my items.

I was told their professional crews could pack and move a 1100sq ft apartment in several hours and estimated the final cost to be around $800-1200. The final price was double, despite half of the packing already completed when they arrived. Even the payment process was unprofessional, with the company sending the wrong authorization form and requesting that I write an incorrect deposit amount. Despite having a pending charge on my card, they refused to start unloading until they amended the incorrect credit card form they sent me. They also refused to provide me with an invoice. When I asked for a discount because of the wasted day and the additional cost I had to bare because of their mistakes, they took off $100. This entire experience was incredibly frustrating and stressful, and I cannot recommend this company to anyone.

I had a terrible experience with All My Sons Moving & Storage and Storage. I booked a 3-person packing and moving crew a month in advance, but instead, a team of two movers arrived nine hours late with a work order indicating they were only to move my items. From 7:50 am until 5:00 pm, the local representative told me a series of untruths and misinformation instead of simply saying, "I do not know," or "It might not be possible to get this done today:" "Yesterday's job ran over, so the team is there now and will be at your location at 11:00 am." Prompting me to ask, "Why did you tell me at 7:30 am or last night when I called to confirm?" "The crew was stopped by the police on the interstate, but they will be there in 45 minutes. The police are on the way to the crew stopped on the interstate. They should be about 45-50 minutes. I have to take the drive off the road per company policy, so I need to find another crew for you. The crew I found for you will be there in 20 minutes. They are just wrapping up a job." (They never arrived.)

"I have a team on the way and will send some extra men to help finish the job." At this point, two men with a work order stating they were just to move my items arrived. The representative's, Nate's, continual insistence that the crew was "just 45 minutes away" stopped me from engaging another company. The cost ($2400) was double what I initially quoted ($800-1100) for a 3-person crew packing an entire 1100sq. In my case, half of the packing was done when the three people arrived. They only needed to pack the small kitchen, the artwork on the walls, the electronics, and break down any furniture they thought best. After taking over five hours to pack, they took another 2.5 hours to move the contents 10 yards from my door to the dedicated freight elevator and 20 yards from the freight elevator to the moving truck.

The payment process was also unprofessional, with the company sending the wrong authorization form and requesting that I write an incorrect deposit amount. Despite having a pending charge on my card, they refused to start unloading until the incorrect form they sent was amended. When I asked for a discount due to their mistakes and the wasted day, they only offered me $100 off. The movers worked at a slow pace that did not indicate they were being cautious. It was more a pace designed to elongate their billable hours. Overall, this was an incredibly frustrating and stressful experience, and I cannot recommend this company to anyone.

We moved off a military base in preparation of my retirement. We hired All My Sons Moving and Storage based on reviews and quote from the National Corporate office/schedulers. Everything from the National Corporate office/schedulers regarding the quote were ignored by the local/district management.

Our quote from the National Corporate Office:

    1) Supplies $122... what we were charged $248 + additional supply charges.
    2) Labor starts when we arrive at the house... what we were charged when the movers showed up to the front gate (not to mention the driver got lost because his GPS messed up). Two additional hours of labor for them sitting at the gate and getting lost.
    3) Labor for lunch... yes, we were charged for them taking an 1hr lunch break.
    4) Fuel Surcharge is 18% of labor cost... the labor cost was already messed up so now fuel surcharge is messed up.

    5) Driver forgot his tools at the point of origin... I had to drive back 45 mins so the driver could get his tools.

I have tried to reason and discuss with the local manager... NOTHING. I have tried to reach out to the National Corporate office... NOTHING! I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and contesting the charges with my Credit Card Company. We received a quote... the company should honor that quote. On top of all that, their movers damaged my furniture by failing to properly cover them in readily available moving blankets, which is included with the move. What was quoted for a 2-bedroom apt move was 5.5 hrs, $1200. Ended up costing nearly double that and over 8 hrs. They also broke our wine rack and broke off a leg of our nightstand. Again can't stress enough, do not use them. I should have used Raimonds Movers again, cause they are great, but we had hoped to save some $. Didn't save at all, worst moving decision ever with AMS.

I All My Sons Moving and Storage, on May 9th to move out of a 1 bedroom condo in Buckhead, they arrived at the time they stated, there were 3 men, once they had everything packed up, we proceeded to the storage. I was told before they could not remove anything from the truck until I pay, the total went from $548.00 to $1044.00. I received a call from the storage facility that I needed to purchase another storage unit because there was not enough room for all my things, so I did, I received a call later the same day that the driver had thrown my items into the dumpster, and that he told the facility that I said it was not mine, I was not there!, I had to leave them and go to the closing, but he knew the item was mine, he had just packed it up at my Condo and moved it, the manager at the facility took it out of the dumpster and made sure it was not broken and kept it for me.

I called Chris with "All My Sons Moving and Storage." HE ACTED LIKE THIS WAS NOTHING AND TRIED TO DOWN PLAY THE INCIDENT AND TOLD ME HE WOULD GET BACK TO ME AND NEVER DID!!!, On May 10, I received a call from the Property Manager of the Condos and she told me the wall was damaged and that I had to pay $500.00 to have the was repaired, and sent me the video, and again I spoke to All My Sons Moving and again they down played it.

This is the worst I have ever been treated/I have not received any apologies or any compensation for the way I was treated by everyone at this company. Please do not use this company for any moving if you want to be treated fairly. I do not recommend this company. I hope this review can help someone else and I hope Consumer Affairs can help me.

THEY WILL OVERCHARGE YOU. To say that I was shocked when it was time to pay would be an understatement. I felt like I was being oversold when they offered me three guys, but I went with it anyway because I trusted the judgment on behalf of your company. I have moved about 20 times in my adult life and have always done it on my own, this was my first time using movers. I estimated that it would take 3 hours; however, it took four. To set the stage, everything was packed and staged in a single room; outside of the bed (that was disassembled), couch, TV stand and TV.

I estimate that they used 3 boxes for couch cushions and bedding, plastic wrapped 5 items, and used one mattress cover, yet material costs were $150. In addition, I was charged $200 for travel, when I moved 1.5 miles. Overall, I originally estimated the cost of the move to be $600, with the third guy maybe $800, it came in at over $1200. I feel like the lack of transparency on the front end should be highlighted. I hope that this is not a common practice of your company.

I have never written such a bad review in my life - granted the movers were very fast. however.... 1) When moving my corner hutch, it was picked up from the top piece and it came apart, it was moved with a shelf that had come off and now it's in 3 pieces. I am not strong enough to put the top back on, so will be looking for someone to help me. 2) When I booked the appointment, I was told to leave the drawers in the dresser, however when they went to move it, I was informed that the drawers had to be removed. One drawer was damaged, the roller to one side of the dresser had come off. 3) My living room lamp was damaged on the bottom and now sits lopsided. 4) When shown the invoice for payment, I was outraged. It was more than half of what it should have been. All in all, I am extremely disappointed in the service provided and the lack of care to my belongings.

Alright, I generally never write a review if it is going to be a bad one, as I understand how much it can impact a business. A negative review is equivalent to about 10 positive ones IMO. But this one I had to put it on paper, just so others don’t go through what we did with these guys. Here’s an account of what happened and how it was handled by All My Sons:

We asked for an afternoon move around 12:30 pm a few weeks before our moving date. We specifically said our new house closing was at 10 am and, therefore, wanted an afternoon move to monitor the move. The salesperson at AMS then gladly obliged and said that wouldn’t be an issue at all. Then a day or two before the move date, AMS called to confirm the route and the items to move.

Mind you, no one was sent to the physical location to take an inventory of the items. We did make sure to let them know of our apartment size and the storage stop to make before delivering everything to the new home. During this call the gentleman insisted the move start at 8 am so they can be out of our hair by 6-7pm. He said we didn’t need to be there, as long as we can meet the movers at the storage place. So we obliged and signed off on an AM move thinking we’ll just show them what all needs to go into the truck and the rest they should be able to handle without us physically being present there. BIG MISTAKE!!!

They loaded the truck unmonitored and lugged in trash from the old house (like old rugs etc. that we were going to throw out) and came to storage over an hour late. Then they dropped the bomb on us, that their truck wasn’t big enough for everything we needed to move, therefore they can’t take everything from storage. Once they arrived to our new home they refused to unload the truck unless we paid them which was an additional $1k from what they had initially quoted us. So essentially we paid more than the quoted price, for an incomplete job, as the storage items were never brought to the new home.

We signed because we needed our stuff in the new home only to find brand new wall knicked by the movers when moving our office desk, broke our office desk, damaged our expensive dining table and several more issues were uncovered post unloading. But wait it doesn’t end there!… the customer care guy, Jermain, tried to put it on us, saying we committed to single truck only and therefore could not bring all items out of storage. We were never asked how many trucks we’d need. How would we know how many trucks or men would be needed for this job. That would be at the moving company’s discretion. All we were asked is how many rooms we had and what were the heaviest furniture pieces we intended to move.

Overall it was an absolute nightmare and we were brushed off to their claims department. Mind you it’s been over a week now since submitting the claim with proof of the damages and it’s been radio silence from them. Yeah definitely DO NOT use these guys. You will pay a heavy price for basically ending up doing things yourselves. I plan to get this word out there to more folks, because I’d hate for someone else to go through the ordeal we went through. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS AND YOU’D BE DOING YOURSELVES A FAVOR!

Updated on 08/22/2023: My husband and I had scheduled our hardwood floors to be refinished. I rented a POD (Storage) that I would have my furniture stored in while work was being done onsite. I called a few moving companies to get estimates and talk to them about what my expectations were. The one detail I mentioned repeatedly was that I did not want anyone to rush. The time needed to move my furniture without damage was worth the extra money I paid by the hr. Priority was placed on safety and proper care of our items.

On February 28th, two Movers came to our house and began the process of moving our furniture into the storage POD. During this visit while the movers were transferring from carrying my dresser, to placing it on a small wooden dolly, they lost control and it landed face first onto the concrete sidewalk. I immediately made sure the guys were ok. One of the movers let me know he was going to report the incident to his supervisor, and I believe he did. My husband and I were also extremely busy getting ready for the work which was to start the next morning. I was excited that the movers were polite and I didn’t give much more thought about the exhausting overall day. I hired a company so I did not have to manage anyone. I hired a moving company with expectations that they had appropriate staff, experience, and equipment.

Fast forward to 3/17/23 when it was time to bring my furniture back into my home. When they first arrived we went into the kitchen to go over whatever paperwork before they could begin. The paperwork was almost 30min. The screen on the electronic pad was broken. The gentleman scrolled through sections trying to get his notepad to work. I was shown multiple places to sign with no explanation. Already 30minutes into a job because the notepad would not work correctly. This can be seen by my signature (illegible) and the places that do not have my initials. The mover was also visibly frustrated with the notepad. The movers went to open the POD and discovered there was absolutely nothing protecting our furniture surfaces. The last item in the POD is a mattress which obscured the view of all of the other items.

It wasn’t until they moved the mattress that we could see how everything had been packed. Furniture pieces were stacked on top of one another with nothing in-between to protect the surfaces. I asked the three movers that were there unloading to please report this to their supervisor. They assured me they would let management know that the items were not properly protected. Once they started unloading, the first thing we noticed was our nightstand that has a satin nickel metal finish now had deep scratches on the top from a wooden piece of furniture that was placed on top of the nightstand with nothing protecting it. The next item that they brought in damaged was my dining room table. The top of it has a huge gouge down the center of it. All four sides of my tabletop have scratches down the sides of them, and a decorative piece of wood on the leg of the table that is completely broken off.

I was horrified at this point since my table is barely a year old. When my table was delivered to our home after I purchased it, I had a glass top cut for it by Robinson glass in order to protect the top of it from any damage. Our table was in perfect condition prior to this. So when the movers got to the dresser that had been dropped on the first trip they were carrying it in one on the movers could no longer hang on and he dropped his end of the dresser.( Yes! Same dresser as before) I asked everyone if they were ok, and asked if they would please let their manager know what happened. Once the dresser made it into the bedroom it was clear there were several things damaged including the corner that had broke off when it was dropped. The face of the dresser has deep gouges from the drop on the first trip. The soft close drawer on my dresser that is suppose to line, up perfectly to enhance the chevron pattern on it, no longer is in alignment.

I purchased this item approximately six months ago. I am well aware that the 2 times my dresser was dropped it was not intentional, but it was the movers I hired who were not able to appropriately handle the items. Three movers seemed to struggle with every piece of furniture. I asked them to go take a break in order to prevent any injuries or mistakes. (I paid by the hour so I am not discounted for the time) It was important to me that my furniture was not damaged. I specifically said please take your time. I would rather everyone is safe and nothing damaged than rush through this and have something happen.

A small wooden furniture dolly is all the movers had to do the job. I am not an expert in this area, but it seemed the movers they sent were ill equipped for the job. I hired a company for a particular task and was sold on them telling me they were experienced, licensed, insured and bonded. I called the All My Sons local location to follow up with them about what happened and to make sure it was reported. I was assured they had been told what happened and were sending me a claim report.

I returned the claim form on the 3/28/23, and finally heard back from Joe ** in claims 4/12/23. I have attached the emails that were sent between us. You can see in these exchanges that we were getting nowhere. Extremely frustrated I decided to reach out to Joe and talk with him about what happened. I let him know all pieces are less than a year old. Joe stated to me that my furniture did not look ruined. I said, OK then send somebody out and let's see if they can repair these items. Joe stated “We are not going to send anybody to look at repair, or replace my furniture." After this statement I asked if I could speak with his supervisor, and was told this is as far as I will go. There is no one else I was going to speak with. Update: They have done Nothing to resolve this!!!! If they try to respond to Consumer Affairs and say they settled...then make them prove it before it shows my complaint was handled.

Original Review: SHAME ON ALL MY SONS MOVING. The workers did the best they could with what they were given. Even though we pay by the hour, I made it clear I was not in a rush, but was more concerned that things were handled with care. Where things went awry is they were unprepared to handle our furniture. There were critical tools they didn't have. Ex. an appropriate dolly, no blankets to protect the surfaces, a lack of manpower. A total of 3 pieces of furniture were dropped, damaged and deeply scratched. The top drawer on the dresser is now misaligned and the corner is broken off as this one was dropped twice!

Due to the furniture being under a year from purchase, we wanted a moving company that was insured. Customer service stated they were licensed, bonded and insured as well as, went as far to tell me "We are one of the only companies licensed." All My Sons moving company has done nothing to resolve the issue. They offered a few hundred dollars as replacement for the damaged furniture. I will have to hire an attorney now to get this resolved. They sold me on great service and assured my items would be taken care of.

The movers reported all of the accidents that happened to their manager. I was sent a claim form, and it has gone nowhere. I attempted to call this evening and talk to a manager and was told there was not a manager on duty. I was hung up on 3 times and finally, after multiple attempts, someone put me through to a manager. I was thankful no one was injured, but cannot believe that I am left holding the bill for the damages.

I contacted the Fort Myers office when I noticed the missing pieces and they stated that they would look in the truck for our missing items. I drove to the office to show them the pictures and was told that I needed to look in other boxes. Why would all the items from that cabinet be unpacked and displayed but the 2 missing pieces??

We also had a piece of glass art that was improperly packed which resulted in a crack in the base of the glass vase. I showed the picture to the FM office and was told, "at least it didn't crack all they way up." OK, not what I wanted to hear about a piece of art which is no longer available for purchase and was the first piece of art which we purchased together on vacation 23 years ago. So disappointing! BEWARE!!!! This is a long review but it is worth reading!! If I could give 0 stars I would! I have a few things to complain about. Disclaimer: ALL of my items were broken down and placed in 1 area. They did NOT have to break ANYTHING down or go to different rooms to move items. ALL THE MOVERS HAD TO DO WAS MOVE ITEMS INTO THEIR TRUCK. I did NOT have them to assemble items in my new house, all I needed them to do was to put the items in the new house, that is all! Also my house was a 1 story home, so keep that in mind.

    1. Drivers drove extremely slow from destination to destination (1st destination was in Pelham, 2nd destination was Calera, and last destination was 5 minutes away from my old home).

    2. The truck was NOT empty when they started loading it. (There was a beige couch and a mattress on there that did NOT belong to me). The "Owner" Tim called me a liar and told me that the truck was empty when he was not even there.

    3. The movers were lazy, doing a lot of standing around and on their phones. (Now I would not complain about how long it took to move IF I had hard workers DOING THEIR JOB!!).

    4. Once the truck was full. The movers were just standing around. I had to ask what was going on. They didn't not have the final destination address which I gave when I set up the move and I gave it to TIM the day before). They stood around instead of asking me for the address.

    5. I paid for 3 movers. I really got 2 movers and 1 truck driver.

    6. THANKFULLY, I had family there to help because MY FAMILY had to HELP the movers MOVE and LOAD things because they were moving extremely SLOW!!!!

    7. My furniture was chipped and scuffed. I bought a NEW BUILD and they scratched the paint on the wall moving things in.

    8. I was charged $178.50 for materials. Which I read in the fine print. HOWEVER, I was charge $60 for 12 rolls of tape. They did NOT use 12 rolls of tape, they used MY bubble wrap and took their shrink wrap to wrap the items.

    9. THE VERY MOST IMPORTANT COMPLAINT (which honestly could have been avoided): I called All My Sons on 2/22/2023 (to talk to a manager to put in my complaint, the guy that answered the phone told me that the managers (Tim and Darius was not in the office) and to call the next day (2/23/2023). He did take my complaint and he told me all he could do was send me the claim paperwork for my furniture (which I was fine with that). I never received the claims paperwork via email nor text message, at that time.

I called all my sons on 2/23/2023 to speak to a manager. I talked to Darius and explained what was listed above. He apologized and refunded me $30 for the tape and told me that's all he could do. He sent me the claims paperwork. He said he can refund materials not labor. So I asked him for his boss's information. He transferred me to customer care and customer care told me that they could not provide that information. I would have to get it from Darius or Tim. So I called right back. Darius transferred me to Tim.

Now this is where my biggest complaint comes. I proceeded to explain to Tim my complaints, he cut me off to say "They already told me what was going on". Well how do I know what they told you? So instead of listening he did not want to hear what I had to say. He came on the phone very rude. He told me he was not doing anything about my complaint. He also told me that Triston called me during the move to ask how things were going. This is not true, I can pull my call log. He called me a liar and said he was sitting next to Triston when he called me. I explained to him that I did not get a call from them and did not speak to anyone. I told him his calls were recorded and he cut me off and said "yeah, but I'm not going through 500 calls."

I asked for his boss's information he told me he was the manager and there was no one else to talk to. He was extremely rude. Now, I am more upset about how Tim treated me on the phone vs. my experience with the movers. Tim does not care about his customers so BEWARE! I am out of $1,065.75 because of lazy movers and poor management.

They did not provide me with any sort of itemized list as per the contract, allowed a woman (who said she was a dancer at a club along the way) to come into my new house and unpack my items, had many items disappear from packing to unpacking, and allowed some of the movers to smoke ** with my ex-boyfriend during the move.

So my move took place a few years ago from Indianapolis to DC, but I’m still discovering missing items (some apparently stolen like my mother’s Pearl necklace and my grandfather’s watch fob) and all the items I suspect were broken (artwork in frames, etc.). The movers showed up unprepared to pack (part of what I paid for) or to make a long distance move. They came without boxes or packing materials. Two smoked ** and were clearly inexperienced. I was patient and kind and bought them all lunch and even tipped them. Why? Because I was trying to be nice.

On the DC end, two new guys were added—clearly on drugs—one was nasty and urinated all over my bathroom floor—they brought in broken items (heartbreaking) and even fell into a wall that left a gaping hole I had to have repaired. The so-called protective material they were to put down on the floors and carpet was a joke—it was thin paper that tore up and they left a trail of mud and dirt all over. I complained to the company and they finally begrudgingly refunded me a measly $800, which didn’t come close to covering the damage and list items.

I am so sorry I got tangled up with this company with the false promises about what to expect. Lack of preparation, inexperience, and sketchy guys who steal and break are not acceptable. Having just remembered today another missing artwork I am writing this review to warn others who may be considering this company. The man who initially met with me and made all the promises about packing and moving long distance vanished when I tried to contact him. Moving is hard enough without this kind of experience. I mostly have put it behind me, but today I was looking for another item and realized with a pang it was one more lost, broken, or stolen item. I hope whoever is wearing my dead mother’s pearls and my grandfather’s watch fob is at least taking care of them. Very heartbroken.

All My Sons sales rep explained all our furniture would be wrapped and workers were background checked. We had brand new furniture which we had to have delivered from furniture store prior to our move which meant All My Sons had to move it. Upon arrival at our new home we found our brand new, never used, still had foam packing from furniture store, with 2 broken off legs which All My Sons glued back on without telling us hoping we would not notice. We also had a brand new dining room arm chair (still with plastic on seat) broken, the wood on the back of chair was split. They told us don't worry, file a claim, they are insured. They dropped a caddy filled with nails that was in our garage into the street. I had to help pick up every nail because I didn't want any neighbors finding a nail in their tires. The caddy had not been wrapped and was completely destroyed.

Our garage items were just thrown off a dolly into a pile in the garage and gouged our new epoxy floor. They also knocked into our walls in our new home and that was also gouged. Our white furniture had dirty fingerprints covering wherever they touched it. A few pieces of china got broken and a mirror was cracked. All My Sons was extremely careless with our belongings. Furniture was not wrapped liked promised. As for background check, it was overheard that a couple of them had recently been released from the slammer. As for the insurance claim, they offered us $281 which did not even cover the cost of the chair, not to mention the TV console that had broken legs and scratches up the sides because it wasn't wrapped. Save yourself lots of aggravation and find someone else to move you.

I was also asked who the original estimator was & told they didn’t have access to that information WTH? This is supposed to be a reputable company that has been in business for over 30 years, with a BBB rating of 8.7. BTW this was repeated to me multiple times, after I questioned the delay with difference in pricing, as well as the fact that they don’t have access to their own company’s inner workings & basic information. I think that they assume that you will just go along with the price increase, since they have left you in a huge bind and time crunch with few options of finding another mover on such short notice! I’ll carry it on my back piece by piece before I give them a dime! Totally unethical company!

This was a disaster from the beginning. We hired AMS to move some of our larger furniture on 11/27/2022. A job that should have taken two qualified movers about 2-3 hours took 3 movers about 8 hours. Two of the men admitted it was their first day on the job. They hit every wall and damaged a fairly new king bedroom suite among other things that were not even worth reporting. I was assured that they would make things right. After a month of going back and forth with the claims department, I was told that my new bedroom suite was "previously" damaged. Ivy at the claims department was beyond rude, disrespectful, and definitely lacks empathy. My claims adjuster never calls only emails, and now he is out for the "rest of the year."

I finally spoke with a "team lead" Geoff that said I could submit proof of purchase for my items, but that he would have to agree with Joe that my headboard/footboard was previously damaged. I'm mentally exhausted after being on the phone with them for over 2 hours. The Memphis location refuses to answer the phone, and I was advised by Geoff that "nothing good could come of going there in person." He advised me not to go in person, but no one is able to reach them by phone. Very frustrating, and you will be better off renting a truck and finding someone on the side of the road to move your furniture. These people do not care about your belongings, and they do not want to pay you what they are worth when damaged. It's really sad that they are able to stay in business.

Literally every piece of furniture they moved in hit my walls and there is plenty of room. They work fast but the quality was terrible. I called the office during the move to tell them and the guy who answered said, "Don’t worry. “Accidents happen” and we have a claim process to reimburse you." I had probably 100 wall dents repaired (level 5 Sheetrock finish so not cheap). I took photos. After finally getting the paperwork 6 weeks later to make a claim they offered $325 when it cost $2800 to fix and repaint the whole area! They said this is their final offer. Beware or get insurance before you hire them.

Two of the helpers (they must have picked up off the street) looked like they were on some type of drug and not fit to move heavy items of furniture. They proceeded to move my items after given instructions and to make sure they cover my couch. They broke my $800 king bed Headboard and destroyed my couch and ottomans that cost just over $9,000. Although we were able to get the dirt out because dragged the couch on the ground it permanently scuffed the edges. The couch was less than a year old.

I later found out that they forged my signature on documents saying I agreed to minimal insurance, which was not the case. I have tried to file a claim but out of the $10,800 worth of damage they only offered $192.00. And then suggested that I was lying about the documents that they sent me with my forged signature. I am a Veteran and have moved around a lot and this is the worst company I have ever experienced in my 21 years of military service. All AD Military and Veterans do not use this company. If you are considering this moving company--DON'T! My move was quoted at around $1250 for a 900 square foot one bedroom apartment move from downtown Chicago to Gurnee, IL with 3 movers. The bill ended up being over $2000 and the move took a total of 8 hours. It took 4 hours for the movers to wrap and move my furniture from my Chicago apartment. Mind you, the elevator was reserved for them. I even extended the elevator reservation time. When I called and expressed my concerns with Jason at this location, he was very rude and cruel to myself and my mother. He said the wrapping took longer than anticipated even though only 1 mover was wrapping. I had to request video footage from my apartment complex to see what the movers were doing throughout the 4 hours and found a total of 1 hour ideal time.

The mover reported to Jason that we told them to leave the apartment. This was very shocking and concerning that the movers were lying to the office so I called customer care who then referred me back to the local office. The local office did not answer any of my calls until we called from my mother's phone number. Between my mother and I, we called a total of 7 times to escalate our concerns during the move. One of the movers said we were being racially discriminated against. I was given an email for the District Manager who has yet to contact me 3 days after the move. Thank God I have eyewitnesses, phone call history, phone call recordings, photos and video footage to take to court if my concerns are not escalated.

After calling the customer care number again today, I am filing a formal complaint in addition to reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and warning consumers on all platforms to not utilize this business. Luckily, I have the time and money to see this legal matter through, but many don't during tough economic times. Go where you're treated respectfully and given great customer service--My experience was the opposite with this company. They have thousands of complaints with the Better Business Bureau within the past 3 years. Don't make the same mistake as me.

Highway Robbery. Abuse of the hourly rate system and underhanded extra fees not properly explained. On 10/20/22 this company charged me a total $950 to move a one bed/one bath second floor apartment (with direct elevator access) to a two bed/two bath first floor apartment 8 MILES AWAY. I had a small one bed/one bath to move 8 miles across town. The movers would take down a piece of furniture, vanish for 10-15 minutes, then come up for the next one. I was assured that this is standard to ensure my "belongings were packaged and secured professionally" but I still ended up with DAMAGED GOODS.

The movers did not come with their own tools, and I had to supply my own for them to use on the one item that required partial disassembly. I was charged around $150 in "premium moving materials" but was never told that my move would require such materials. As a matter of fact, the email they had sent me told me I would have FREE quilt wrapping to move my stuff. The movers used "premium equipment" freely and I was billed for it at the end. I was later informed an "estimated material cost" was included at the very bottom of my initial email, far away from the quoted hourly rate and what to expect from the service. The lack of clarity in these extra fees felt underhanded as they weren't explained. They also refused to unload the truck until I had paid, holding my goods hostage until I handed over the ridiculous amount of money they charged me. In addition, our $10,000 TV was wrapped in such a flimsy cardboard covering that I had to take a cover from my 87 yo moms bed to provide a cushion against screen breakage and the crew ran out of basic supplies such as tape and had to use our until that ran out and we then started wrapping items with surgical tape from my husband's cabinet. 2 expensive speakers were set on a glass table and fell to the floor and broke the table glass.

I'll be surprised if our speakers work in addition to the glass breakage. No supplies were provided for our large vases, etc... and I spent an additional 3 days with Home Depot boxes packing up the rest of our items when we thought this supposed "Professional" company was going to do for us since that's what we paid them to do. TLDR: Extensive damage to property, unfair compensation for damages, lack of communication from back office team. Over the phone, the team was great and I felt like I found amazing movers. The moving crew was nice and professional. We bought everyone lunch & even gifted one of the movers a digital camera we weren't using after he mentioned he had always wanted a similar model. Unfortunately from here things started to go wrong and we were left completely unsupported by the All My Sons team from this point.

As the last items were being brought in, we noticed damage to armchairs and our couch which had been accidentally scuffed with grease in several places. The team's iPad on-site was not working, so the completion of final paperwork had to be done over the phone. I asked for the damage claim information which I was told would be sent immediately (it wasn't, and required additional follow up). In total, several additional items were damaged. Damages included grease marks/scuffs on armchairs and an expensive couch, a broken planter, and most upsettingly a shattered brand new $1400 TV (which was packaged by the All My Sons team). We get it, these things happen — however, we trusted that the company would take care of these damages appropriately.

30 days later, we received an offer of $450 as remediation for the aforementioned damages. That doesn't cover the cost of a professional couch cleaning, let alone the brand new TV which is rendered completely unusable and had to be replaced outright. The team made it clear that the actual legal liability of the company is a mere $0.60 PER POUND. This was obviously not pointed out to us in the paperwork, which totaled several pages/signatures that were required on-site, on the clock, and prior to the team starting (despite the clock running for their time). The team also noted that we did not elect to purchase additional insurance. To my knowledge, we weren't given the option to purchase insurance. The team's iPad was broken and so some of the signatures had to be completed over the phone. I did not receive a copy of the paperwork as promised.

Ideally this information would have been sent in advance, or explained in more detail. The damage policy was not explained or we would have never agreed to this. Since reporting the damage on 8/15, I have made over 8 email follows up and received minimal contact back with absolutely no assistance or interest finding a suitable solution here. Overall our experience has been extremely frustrating and turned a great experience sour quickly. Absolutely no responsibility was taken by the back office team to rectify costly damages to our property that we trusted would be taken care of. Use a different company for your move and don't be swindled by this unfair damage policy like we were.

The movers did not pack up the entire house and left lamps and other boxes in the house. They also broke my master bedroom bed. They ripped the screws out and said it was already like that. However the bed would have been leaning to the ground if that were the case. I wasn't going to make a big deal of it, however once I go to the place we moved, I was going to repair the bed and they did not attach the screws to the bed.

I called the head mover and he told me they found them on the truck and he would return them to me the next day after he got off work. He never showed and when I called the main office, he said he didn't know where the screws were. I also found other furniture that had screws missing. The head mover asked to buy our desk upstairs from us and I told him yes, as they were finishing up loading the truck, I asked him about the desk and he said his "girlfriend didn't want it." I said what about getting it from upstairs and on the truck, however there was not any room left to put the desk on the truck. So, he said he would return the next day and get it if I gave it to him for free.

I agreed, but like I said before, he was suppose to bring the bolts to the bed but didn't come the next day. I gave all this information to the main office and they apologized. "We are sorry". I'm really sick and tired of companies, just saying "we are sorry". I still don't have the bolts for my bed and none of our furniture was put back together once we got to the new location. The guys worked hard and fast but apparently lacked some basic training on how to transport large pieces of furniture.

At the end of the move the crew was so excited over tip we provided that they simply forget to complete the last step of job. We had a large hutch being moved to storage. Crew loaded the hutch, and then lost their minds. Never secured the piece in the truck and actually left it standing on end. Crew admitted this to us as well as company management. The hutch was destroyed as it was tossed around in truck.

Company did nothing to stand behind the negligence. They stood on the ground they are only responsible to pay $.60 per pound. They paid out $180 for $3400 hutch. Yes if I had known the crew was incompetent we would have bought the extra insurance or used another company. What happened to where companies no longer stand behind their product. No matter what company you use, buy the extra insurance. Movers have a great deal to pay out at only $.60 per pound. They have no real incentive to protect your moved items.

We had SO MANY issues with this moving company and the ENTIRE process. This move was stressful not only because it was cross country (from CT to MI) but because we were moving to be closer to my sister in college after the death of our mother. This company made it 100x worse. First, there was an issue with the office. When we called to talk initially to about us driving a Penske truck ourselves and having them pack our home and load the boxes on the truck we were told a 16’ truck was sufficient since we have a very small (only 900 square foot) home. (We opted for this because we were quoted $11,000 for them to pack and drive and unpack everything!)

My husband and I have never moved before (we moved from our first home after getting married 2 years ago, I moved from a shared apartment and my husband was living with family) and took the advice of their office staff who seemed knowledgeable when we called and gave him the inventory of our furniture and belongings. When the moving team arrived they told us that truck wasn’t big enough and they could only pack half of our items. We ended up having to rent another truck to get our entire home packed.

After packing, when we walked through the house they left trash on the floor in almost every room of the house and MISSED a lot of the art on our walls. It took us hours to finish cleaning the house after they left. (This was disappointing especially because we had bought the crew lunch since they had come from another job and we wanted to help them keep up their stamina.)

Second, once our truck was unpacked at our new home we found MANY issues. The items were not packed in labelled boxes and were not packed in any sort of organized manner, we had food items mixed in with clothes, and kitchen items mixed in with books, etc. This caused a nightmare as we unpacked and made it hard to see if we were missing anything. Several containers of food, that were damaged as they packed or packed improperly, spilled all over causing a big mess. They didn’t use most of the packing supplies we bought from Uhaul (as recommended by their office staff because it’s cheaper) and most of our things were either packed improperly or they used their own and charged us for it.

Third (and worst), was the damage and loss of our belongings. Many of the boxes were not packed properly. Our microwave had been just set on top of boxes in the truck (not bubble/paper/shrink wrapped or strapped down) and it fell and was dented badly during transport. They also broke one of our flatscreen TVs, cracked the top of a food storage container, and lost pieces of our furniture (we found some of the pieces in miscellaneous boxes - it appears if things fell off they just threw them wherever instead of gathering them up and putting them together or handing them to me as I was present the entire time). Four of my husband's watches (2 of which were expensive) were taken out of their storage boxes and STOLEN. The empty storage boxes were packed and we found them empty.

In the end, the company is REFUSING to give us any money back after we submitted a claim for our damaged and lost/stolen items. They claim we should have checked our inventory after they packed the truck – we don’t know how we could have done that before we drove the truck to MI and unloaded and unpacked it ourselves.

We are very angry and disappointed in this company. I don't know if the issues with the packing and the loss of items is because of this particular team, but the way the office staff has handled it all makes me wary of the entire company. My husband and I try to be understanding and gracious but looking back at all of this, it's just unacceptable. Save yourself (and your belongings!) the trouble and don't use this company!

Although I would have preferred to have more moving accomplished for the same cost, I am satisfied with the refund. The manager was calm and respectful even though it was obvious that I was unhappy. They also attempted to come back to the house to move additional items, but without us arranging a time in advance we weren't even at home. All in all, I probably will not use professional movers again due to the cost, but the customer service of this office would convince me to use them again in a pinch. Just be very explicit about what you expect to be done, and the total cost that might entail. Thank you.

I was quoted $190/hr and one hrs. drive time and a cost per box to pack. When they got there they seemed surprised that they had to pack anything. They also said they finished at 5:00 when they actually finished at 3:00. Charged me $2,600. So in the end, they overcharged for time, and billed me $800 to pack about 5 boxes!!! I don't think so. Going to dispute this charge immediately.

BEWARE! What they promise is NOT what you get. I moved from Miami to Gainesville. Because I was a real estate referral, I was given a better insurance coverage and told because of that I would get their experienced movers. NOT SO! The guys showed up and the one in charge only worked for AMS one month. They did not know how to fill the truck and left so much airspace. They packed and were pulling out when I found that they had left my patio furniture. They stopped and put that on the truck and when I looked again, they had left the glass table top. As they did not take plants, I did rent a UHaul truck but had to rent a larger size to take furniture that they did not pack. A total waste of my money!

AMS did give me a $500 refund but as they were at least $1,000 more to begin with, that was a drop in the bucket. Arrival day.... the truck left around 8 AM from their Ft. Lauderdale facility and arrived in Gainesville at 3 PM. They unloaded until 7 PM and then were told to drive back to Ft. Lauderdale that night putting them back by 2 AM earliest. That cannot be legal! I will say the guys worked hard but their inexperience left a hole in my leather sofa, they did not screw my bed together and the pegs almost broke when it came apart.

I had a pull-out sofa, which I had told Brett (AMS salesperson I had). The guys had not experience taking or putting it back together and it was not done correctly aside from the guys having inappropriate tools. ANOTHER BEWARE....get a copy of the contract beforehand. Any arbitration is out of TEXAS so it is not worth filing a claim even if you have one, unless you are in Texas. DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THEIR CONFIDENCE NOR THE MONEY. YOU WILL NOT GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR!

After getting quotes, selected All My Sons for the packing only. I talked with Chase ** on several occasions to ensure that the days were straight and that the services would be packing only. Chase had done a Zoom call walk-through to provide the quotes. He was informed that all boxes and paper were already purchased, that labor would be the only requirement. The original quote from June 17, 2022, was a guaranteed not to exceed $1448.35. Then, on the Sunday evening before the AM Monday pack appointment, I suddenly get a flurry of text messages and calls saying that a new signed quote is required by the office manager, one which now has higher hourly labor charges, plus fuel charges, plus an additional laborer, plus additional materials – and the charge has risen to over $2200!!

I called Chase, who said that was just a top charge, not what would be charged, but the paperwork needed to be redone for some reason; “just sign and we will straighten out later”. I now had less than 15 hours before the packing should begin, so took Chase at his word and signed. On Monday morning, 4 male packers arrive. I informed them that all materials were in the garage – small, medium, large boxes plus dish boxes plus wardrobe boxes. Tape and paper were in the rooms already. I told them that I might not have enough tape, so would expect that charge at sign out. What was really charged later turned out to be: 5 dish packs @ $14; 4 wardrobes @ $17; 5 mattress bags (even though only two mattresses were in house and neither were in a bag!); 11 other boxes in various sizes, and 25 lbs of newsprint even though unopened paper was still remaining in rooms!

Their sales team and movers are great, but if you have a claim with them you'll be shocked at how atrocious their customer service is. Trying to even get them to respond is worse than getting a root canal. And don't even bother trying to talk to a manager because they won't return messages! Anyway, we're left with a ruined antique piece of furniture, and barely any compensation. I also noticed that you can't leave reviews on Google, Facebook or any social channels so they obviously know they have a problem. I appreciate you sharing this with your network as I've never experienced such awful service.

First off let me warn you about their coverage policy. Be SURE you spend a little extra money and get the insurance. When we got to that part to sign, we asked more detailed information on how it worked. The lead mover told us it was $750 for full coverage. That is not entirely true. Per their agreement you sign, $750 is the example used in the document, which would cover $30,000. It's only $25 per $1000 to ensure your stuff. Spend the extra $25-75 bucks to cover what will get damaged. We only moved 5 miles and it took them nearly 8 hours to move us. It cost us over $2000.

They broke our Maytag washer and dryer which are now unusable. Because their policy is to not repair anything and leave everything wrapped until you receive their settlement offer, we had to go and buy another washer and dryer. It took them 10 days to respond with an offer. Also broken were 2 lamps, one was a vintage ornate lamp. They broke the leaf to our dining room table, tore the bed lining off a new box spring, dented the side of our new Samsung refrigerator and scratched the facing of it. Offering .60 cents a pound to move you is unrealistic. No one should have to worry about moving much less damaging items you entrusted to their care. They did over $1500 of damage on top of charging us over $2000. If that sounds like a good deal go ahead and use them.

A few weeks before the move we reached out to confirm we were still on the schedule and had an 8:00 am crew arrival. We told we were set. We had a coordinator come out on Thursday before the scheduled move to do a final walk-through and estimate. Once again we confirmed that they were coming on Sunday with an arrival between 8:00-9:00 am.

On Sunday morning, we never heard anything and at 9:00 am we call to see where the crew was. We were told by the local manager that the crew overslept. Then we texted the coordinator and she said she would call the office. No one got back to us so we called the National Sales Rep who we worked with to book All My Sons. He wouldn't answer our calls. Then the coordinator stop answering our calls. Finally, at 11 am the local manager finally answered our call and said they weren't coming and "all their crews called out". All My Sons not only no showed us on a scheduled move but they also weren't even going to call us and tell us. They also weren't going to give us our deposit back till we disputed it. At the end of Day One, the Movers took the trucks to their warehouse and parked them. On Day Two the Movers drove the two trucks from the warehouse to our final destination, our home in the southern part of the same state. When the two trucks reached our new home, the 'head guy' with the paperwork had me sign more papers that included an EXTRA $2000.00 charge! While unloading the trucks, (expensive wooden) furniture was dropped, broken, cracked, and/or scratched, with little or no regard by the movers themselves. There might have been some nervous laughter.

When it came to unloading our boxes, the Movers shot them down the truck ramp like luggage handlers at the airport! One after the other, the faster the better, with NO regard whatsoever for those with the contents marked as "FRAGILE" or "GLASS". Boxes came down on their sides, as well as upside down. Let us not forget about those boxes that simply tumbled completely off the side of the ramp and smacked onto the concrete without any concern by our Movers! The home we were moving into was being renovated. The men working on the job site stopped their carpentry to help unload the truck because they couldn't believe the shoddy fashion in which our possessions were being treated by the All My Sons Movers.

When the Movers left our home, a handmade glass cabinet was left standing upside down. Boxes marked "Fragile" were left on the BOTTOM of huge stacks of heavy boxes, besides being left upside down. The Movers showed absolutely no care whatsoever in how they left our possessions! I will NEVER recommend All My Sons Moving and Storage. Ignore what the front office tells you because when the movers themselves arrive, they will treat your possessions like they are worthless!

There are a lot of easy steps a moving company can take to provide a fairly accurate quote, and steps any business can and should take to properly communicate when they intend to charge much more than they quote. All My Sons did neither. My initial quote for a one bedroom move was $800-$1000. I have a couch, a small dresser, two end tables, and a queen bed frame that they had to take apart. This shouldn't take long (fast forward: the lead mover asked me to put the frame together for him after they finally arrived at my new place to unload my items, stating it was very easy to do. I asked him to do it- he took it apart. He seemed annoyed),

I asked them to bring one wardrobe box for my move at THEIR suggestion. I had a few items in the closet I wore during the week. The team at All My Sons told me over the phone that they'd have a few extra boxes and their prices for them were the same as Walmart so it made sense to let them box a few items (like backpacks and bags). My afternoon move arrived at 3:45PM -very late, and began the $199 per hour clock while I was asked to initial and sign my life away. Why can't this document be sent in advance? Why am I paying a moving company for time to review something that requires my initials in about 30 different places? There is no time to read, and I learned that's what they want. They want you to simply sign. They were so late, I could not stay to supervise the move- but I was initially there.

At no time did anyone tell me my move might cost more than the quote and they walked my one bedroom apartment before starting the job. In fact, one of the movers looked around my apartment and said, "this is easy. We should be out of here in an hour and a half". I had to leave to get to my new place and grab a FOB in order to let them in at arrival. At no time did anyone from All My Sons call me to tell me what they were doing or how much my move wound cost behind my initial estimate. They took extraordinarily long. Again, no one communicated to me during this time. I called to ask where they were as I waited at my new place. They finally arrived about 8:30 PM, going 21 miles. I had to pay before they would unload- this was the first time I learned the charge was $1521!

$187 for gas (let's presume the truck gets 10 miles per gallon. Really??) $190 for packing supplies (Walmart pricing?) $199 for travel time of one hour (ok). 4.75 hours to move at $199 per hour. I call **. How much stuff did I have? It took me less than an hour to completely unpack my things the next day. I don't have a lot. My own wardrobe boxes, that I packed and sealed, were opened and items were thrown in. My clothes were off the rod and bunched up at the bottom. My TV stand was broken during the move. The lead tried to suggest it was like that- then finally stated I could file a claim (at 60 cents per pound- why even bother?)

I have moved 10 times in 12 years and this felt like a complete rip off. The company does not care and points to the pages of initials I completed but could not read through, and the final signature I had to provide for them to unload (pay or they won't unload). They don't care. I work in an industry where people move every day- no one can believe what they charged me. Families in three bedroom houses paid just a bit more AND I DO NOT HAVE A LOT OF STUFF! After so many moves, I've downsized so much. I was not expecting to pay nearly twice the price of the starting quote.

This all felt very shady to me. I don't feel their communication is ethical. In the 4-75 hours it took them to move my items, no one could verify the price? For that amount of money, I would have thrown a lot of things out and bought new. And, again, I don't have much stuff and most of it was packed. Not one phone call from them to review a change in price. However, I was reminded several times to tip by sending cash through Zelle. I can't recommend this company - if for no other reason than for it's deceiving quoting practices, because they are unethical-but there are many reasons to avoid them. Basic communication is common courtesy and easy to do, unless you're making your money on bait and switch practices.

Completely took advantage of a homeowner out of town. My brother was overseeing and left when they were packing up and said they were half an hour from calling another family member to meet them at the storage unit. They did not leave for another 2.5 hours. Once there was no supervision, they just stopped working. When asked about it, they lied and said they were held up at the loading dock, which the building management said was a complete lie - the loading dock and service elevator were both reserved for their exclusive use for the move.

At the time of the charge, they charged more time for a partial (no large furniture) move out of a 1-bedroom apartment than the same size crew moving out of a 3-bedroom apartment. They just sat around. Then they refused to edit the estimate of materials moved - nearly TWICE as expensive as what they actually used. I had to call their head office from abroad before they would itemize, and the materials cost dropped by nearly half. Then my agent went back to the apartment, and they had blatantly ignored the packing list they were given. They left art on the walls, towels in the towel racks, wastepaper baskets, cutting boards, countless household items that were SPECIFICALLY mentioned in the packing list not to forget. ART ON THE WALLS.

This team was horrific and completely took advantage of the situation today, and the main office refused to acknowledge their behavior and tried to pass off responsibility from one member to another. "If you have a problem, call Sam." "No no, if you have a problem, call Chris." I had nothing but problems today. Movers beware. Let me revise my review of Ally My Sons Moving. As stated previously Dangelo, Alex, and Dujuan were very hard workers. After they finished, I advised that they find another employer. I booked with All My Sons Moving 3 weeks in advance. I was given a quote of $139 an hour, which I thought was fair. When I scheduled I asked the scheduler to please make sure that I would be the first move of the day. I checked the schedule and saw that there would be a Memphis Grizzles game the night of my move, and stressed to the scheduler that the move had to happen first thing in the morning. He assured me that it would, and he would make sure that I was first on the list. Well as time passed by and the clock struck 1:00 PM, I was very very frustrated. I called All My Sons to see what the status was, and the guy that answered said he would check and call me right back. That call never happened, and the movers showed up at 3:30.

They wrapped up around 5, but of course as I expected parking was nightmare. The move from my current residence and old residence is exactly 0.7 miles, but they were stuck in traffic for more than an hour. They finally found a place to park, and before they unpacked I was told that my total cost would be $992 dollars! Let's do the math, 2 hours to pack, 2 hours to unpack totals $556, keep in mind I made a deposit of $100 dollars, so my total pay out should be close to $450-550 including taxes.

One of the movers put Tim on the phone that stated he was the owner. He stated that I owed close to $200 dollars extra for gas which I was never informed of on front (wait the move was .07 miles and gas cost $200?), also I was being charged for supplies. Again when I scheduled I was never informed of this and asked Tim, where was a contract stating these additional costs? He admitted that he didn't see that a contract was ever sent to me but we could settle things if I paid the driver $700 in cash to get my furniture unloaded. He said he would see if he could give me a credit the next day, but of course I never heard back from him.

I went to bed extremely frustrated and exhausted as I became a part of the moving team because I wanted things wrapped up and to be done with this nightmare of an experience. I went to my former residence and in shock I discovered that several boxes, tables had not been moved. I took a video of this and sent it over to Tim, still no response. So day 2 of my moving experience kicked off with me and a friend moving the remaining items. Lastly, I did have an item broken and the mover did apologize for breaking it. Please and I repeat, please do not use this company. Oh, to put the icing on the cake, I finally received a copy of the contract (BOL) later that night after the move. I'm hoping Tim is a man of his word and will issue me a refund, or someone from this company will. Worst Moving Experience EVER!!!

The movers who unloaded only took an hour and a half and they moved all my things into a 3 bed/3 bath house, 2 story with a 2 car garage placing items specifically into each area.

Things were broken, a chip in the glass top kitchen table, my glass top work desk because things were pulled apart and went missing where it was all packed together for easy assembly, and now I can't use that desk at all, a house warming gift I got for my wife before the move is just gone. I found a broken thick glass vase that has the bottom corner broken off, but when I emptied the box, there was no glass...where'd it go? Probably with my wife gift. This meant additional money had to be used to rent a unit. They moved the belongings and after all of the drama, the move still cost $1100 (WAY TOO MUCH). This was an ALL day process and All My Sons never took any responsibility. Since the move, I’ve been trying to speak with Leona, the Customer Care Manager at headquarters to seek compensation, but no return phone call. Overall, the moving experience SUCKED. Not timely, not apologetic, and overpriced. Employees of the company should be required to verify where they are going prior to the moving day and disclose the company protocols.

This place I would never ever recommend! For the price, it was absolutely outrageous and still no one will get back to me!! I did the 2 hour minimum and the 1 hour of drive time they require, so add that up at $159.00 a hour... it took them one hour to load my small 950 square foot apartment up and then one hour drive time to my new place (which was not a hour away but only 18 minutes) then it took less then a hour to unload my stuff from the truck because I had others helping (which the movers said was fine it would cut down my bill) so I used the 2 hour minimum plus the hour of drive time, so my bill came out to $778.00.

You're telling me you charged me $301.00 in gas. I get gas is expensive and all but that is the biggest rip off ever! Now would I hire just the 2 guys that moved my stuff, yes I would, they were very sweet and efficient and hard workers but I would never ever call this company again! Money hungry, rip off, worst experience EVER!!! And no one from the company will return my calls but I figured that would happen! Because there is NO answer as to why I was charged 301.00 for gas!!! This company is a joke!!

PLEASE READ - VERY IMPORTANT - First of all, I now know not to trust the 5-star rating on Google, Facebook, etc. After I paid for the move, the foreman sent me links to submit reviews. He was assisting me with my review on Google. (I know how to do reviews.) He was looking over my shoulder, said to choose the 5, had me type the names of the crew and then said, "You can now write an AMAZING review." I told him I would do it later as I was tired. There was a lot of pressure to do it right now. After they left, he kept texting me stating “I can’t wait to see your AMAZING Review.” 2 MOVES - Moving to a new house, son moving to the home I moved from.

2/5/2022 Move # 1 – The move went pretty smoothly, and the crew worked very hard, except it did cost a lot more than I expected. I was originally quoted 3-4 hours, $199/hour, 3-man crew. In addition to the 15% fuel charge and materials. I figured about $1,500, however it was $2,600. They sent the 4-man crew at $249 and said it would be cheaper in the long run.

The main issue is that we were going to do a walk-through, however, the foreman was so insistent on getting a photo-op in front of the truck with the crew. Once we did that, they just took off without a walk-through. When I went through the house, I was very disappointed that my tv wasn’t put together. I needed it to be put on the base and put on the dresser. I don’t have the tools to attach the base and the tv was too heavy for me to lift. I texted him but did not receive a response. I had to hire a handyman to assist me, which cost an additional $60. I just chalked this up to a bad experience and was glad it was done.

2/12/2022 Move #2 - Moving from a 900 square foot 2-bedroom apartment to a townhouse. 15 minutes of travel time between the 2 homes. Not a lot of furniture, mainly boxes and bags. Everything was bagged and boxed up prior to the movers showing up. We were quoted 3-4 hours, $199/hour plus the 15% fuel change and materials, total of $640.00 + materials. We budgeted about $950 at the most. ISSUE – The movers took almost 9 hours and it cost $2,360.40. It should not take 8 hours to move a 2-bedroom, 900 square foot apartment. We were even charged a .25 overtime charge.

The crew moved so slow; it took 5 hours just to load the truck and 3.25 hours to unload. It felt like they were moving slow to make more money in the labor charges. Unfortunately, they must be paid prior to the truck being unloaded, our belongings are held hostage. There is no way to dispute the amount being charged. Calls were made to the supervisor during the move to complain about move, nothing was done, and he was not willing to do anything about the charges. After numerous calls and promises, there has been no resolution.

I was mocked on the phone when reaching out to speak with management after a horrendous experience. They will outright refuse to connect you with corporate and hang up on you when you inform them it has been a week of calling and emailing to no avail. After several calls and emails over the past six days, I have been told to call back later by staff. Today after explaining the situation again, AMS Boynton Beach has made it clear they intend to make any effort to speak with management an arduous process in the attempt to have me give up. I was informed by phone and email, I would have a three-person team. My preference because of a knee injury, was not to be physically involved. I was assured that I wouldn't need to worry. On Thursday (Feb.24) morning, at 7:10 AM. Scott calls, offering to change the mover's arrival to Saturday, a day later than scheduled.

My response "Scott, we discussed that Friday is the date". I advised him I would call him back after 8 am. I called and emphasized that his last-minute call was causing me concern! It suggested their lack of preparation, and I queried if I should make other arrangements. Scott assured me that I had nothing to worry about and he emphasized a three-person team would be there to move everything.

The movers arrived on time at 1:40 pm and the supervisor arranged payment at 1:55. I then asked of the two employees where the third mover was, and they informed me it was only the two of them! Within 30 minutes it became apparent these two neither had a sense of urgency nor real willingness to do the job appropriately. I expressed concern that we were not getting enough of the items into the elevator and we (myself included) would have to pick up the pace. The gentleman's response was to break eye contact. Concerned, I texted Scott "Scott, the 3rd mover would have made this a bit more streamlined. We're not making good progress" (2:28 pm).

Attempting to get efficiency from these 2, I said to one of them "I'm sorry if I seem stressed out. I just want to make sure we can get this done so I don't hurt myself lifting things into the evening and weekend". His reply was that [my earlier comments] “didn't bother him”. Unfortunately, when the job was "complete" Scott's phone call to wrap things up was handled with his own lack of professionalism.

Upon stating he "didn't charge me for going over the time limit", I commented that upon my realization he didn't send three movers I was forced to become physically involved in the process and I re-stated the initial concerns I had vocalized several times during our conversations. He offered no response and it was evident there was no desire to empathize with, nor attempt to resolve, the situation. When the silence was prolonged, I said "Scott, please call me back in 30 minutes. I am going to collect my thoughts and I would like to speak with you, or someone at All My Sons who is willing to listen to my perspective on what went wrong". He said he would call me back. I received no call.

Broken glass was left hidden behind a door in the public hallway. After the team left, I walked down the hall to discover an orange water bottle that belonged to the mover which had been left in the hallway. In addition, a shattered glass coffee table surface appears to have been hidden behind a hallway door in the opposite direction. Upon realizing the glass was my coffee table surface, I was quite bothered that I had not been advised, and clearly that they lacked concern for the safety of other residents. Who wants first-day trouble with an HOA for leaving dangerous broken glass about? Elderly neighbors use this hallway for exercise. Residents are entitled to a hallway free of garbage and broken glass. Transparency on this issue would have been much more professional.

Door damage and carpet tear: None of the furniture was arranged or set down in a reasonable order during the move. A furniture leg appears to have torn the carpet because the item was dragged, instead of being placed, a few feet further into the room. Multiple requests for "COI" CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE Over the course of February 16 - 23rd, I had to follow up by phone and email multiple times to request COI be sent to my new HOA. Each time I communicated with AMS (in both email and phone) I provided the HOA's email address.

I will say that I have used your company before and had a great experience (which is why I recommended them). This move was such a disaster, not only will I never recommend you again, but I feel I have to warn others about hiring your company. The highlights are this:

Move was supposed to be 6 hours total (3 on each end) including packing. Move took over 17 hours over 2 days. Left my clients sleeping on the floor of their new home with virtually no essentials. 3 children (btw). 90% of the house was packed already so company only had to pack 10%. Threw random items together in massive boxes with literally no regard for their belongings. Packed glass lamps, with crayons and bike helmets with rain boots. Used zero packing material. ZERO! Broke a loft bed and a Sleep Number bed and many small items. Will take no responsibility for any other this.

I called and spoke with Brad who told me he was the owner. Did not care one bit about my dissatisfaction. Completely uninterested in hearing any of the issues. I am so disappointed in this company. I do not take leaving bad comments/reviews lightly. If All my Sons would have done the right thing and compensated my clients for their damages, I would not leave such a review. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

As a result, the refrigerator molded and is not salvageable. When I submitted a claim for my $2k refrigerator, they offered me a measly $138. This is not damage due to a move, but rather due to the negligence of the employees they hired. These same movers also lost bed hardware, leg to my adjustable base, and an electrical cord for my leather recliner sofa. Not only did I have to pay over $4k for these two moves (into storage and then to my new residence), but now I have to incur the cost of a new fridge and bed since the hardware is now unavailable. They didn’t come out to the house for a more accurate quote. We relied on their expertise. They significantly damaged the floor of one room, made a huge gouge in arched entry trim and broke at least one item. They barely packed pictures and glass. In previous moves movers packed these items in crates. They quoted 4 hrs to load and 4 to unload. Instead they sent 2 fewer movers and one less truck. It took them 7 hours to load and over 4 hours to unload. Fortunately they honored the price they quoted. I would make them perform an on-site quote and specify how you want items packed.

They left many items behind, including a full closet of clothes, and spent way too much time wrapping and unwrapping furniture for a short move of only a couple of blocks, within the same apartment complex. All of this added significantly to the cost in terms of both time and material. The final cost was considerably more than even their highest estimate we had been given. The men there actually worked hard, but I assume that it was company policy that led to the excessive charge. Though, of course, leaving items behind was due to the workers. They even failed to empty a drawer below the oven that I specifically asked if they had. I would not hire them again and cannot recommend them.

All My Sons Moving Company- Hired to move me on November 15, 2021. They started at 3pm. It was the Worst Experience I’ve ever had with a moving company. I have moved many times in my life and have hired movers before but I have never had an experience like this. It was unbelievable and incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I hired 3 men and a truck. I got 4 men and 2 trucks, with one remaining empty. I from a one bedroom apartment to a condo with 99% of my things already packed. The entire distance from my old place to the new one, was 4 miles and a 5 minute drive at max.

I trusted this company with my things that I saved for years to buy. I have a lot of expensive things and mirrored furniture that they assured me that they would handle properly. I was charged over a thousand dollars for 4 hours work (1 hour waiting on the cops to arrive). I paid to have my things mishandled, broken, and held for ransom. This is the first time I’ve ever had anything broken during a move. The workers were disrespectful and unprofessional. They damaged my things and the physical property that I moved into by rating the security gate and knocking down trees with their truck. Not once did they apologize for their behavior. I DO NOT recommend this company to anyone that is looking for professional movers. It ended with me calling the police on them to ensure that I received all of my belongings after they got paid in full.

The Driver made questionable decisions at best. They came very close to running into the cars parked in the parking lot. They blocked several cars in when there was plenty of empty space elsewhere. It didn’t make sense and when I asked them to move, I was ignored most to the time. See images below. At one point, the driver parked at the front of the condo blocking most of the entrance and wanted to unload my washer and dryer, go thru the security gate, wheel them (with a hand truck) all the way around to the back of the property and place it the storage area in the basement.

The driver ran into trees, tearing off branches, while backing up from the front of the condo entrance, to the back where they had to unload the storage items. Also, he hit and grazed the security gate as they were driving thru on their way out after completing the job. My neighbor, on the second floor, yelled, “Stop that truck!” When I looked back I saw the entire gate rocking back and forth. The police were there and told the movers to “Get out of here…” The driver stated that he should sue the gate for hitting his truck. Unbelievable.

I believe that they ran the time up by delaying the job. They unloaded the storage areas 1st, then the things inside of the condo, then had to go back to the storage area to unload the rest. Totally unorganized. It took 4 and 1/2 hours to complete the move of a one bedroom apartment with no bedroom furniture, 4 men and 2 trucks. About an hour of that was waiting on the police to come. After they drove to the front of the condo for the second time, they informed me that they still had my washer and dryer on the truck and would have to go back to the back of the condo, thru the gate again to unload it. It made no sense except that they were holding my last items to ensure that they got paid even though my debit card was on file and I had made a security deposit.

I didn’t trust these guys to completely unload my washer and dryer and insisted that they call their manager. No answer, so I called the police. There was an argument and curse words exchanged. How unprofessional. There is a statement in the contract that says that payment is due upon receipt of all items. They chose to follow the other statement that says they get paid Before all items are unloaded.

It took me 2 weeks to pack my one bedroom apartment by myself. I am a disabled veteran for my back, legs, and eyes. I suffer from pain everyday but I pulled everything out of the bedroom & bathroom areas and placed them into two separate areas. The things that would go into storage, had a red sign on it and placed together in the dining room. The only thing that was not packed was my smoked mirrored table and my 55inch TV. I left that up to the professionals I hired to help me. They broke my mirrored table. They broke several of my dishes. With all of that, they still brought storage items into my condo and I have no way to move them out unless I hire someone else.

Because I have trouble with my vision, I rely on verbal promises and statements. The lady that booked me for moving misinformed me of what these movers would do. She assured me that they were at my disposal and would do what I need of them because they were paid by the hour. But, when they got here, they declined to help me unpack everything and take all of the boxes with them (even though I was promised they would).

When the movers first got there, which was at 3 pm, they started moving my things and about halfway thru, they produced a contract I had never seen before on an electronic pad. I signed not reading the entire thing but was under the impression that they would take care of my things and deliver them to two different areas in the condo I was moving to. I didn’t get a copy of the contract until the next day. I feel that All My Sons Moving Company took advantage of me and used unethical practices to obtain my money. I am left with filing a claim for things that were broken that aren’t even sold anymore. They are permanently lost and destroyed. No person should have to go thru this humiliation and disrespect.

We had a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience with this company. We did all the boxing of items ourselves, carefully wrapping glassware and other fragile items in bubble wrap and labeling as fragile. Only to have the movers stack boxes like 5' high on hard-wheel dollies, with boxes clearly labeled fragile often on the bottom, and then have them bounce the dollies down two flights of stairs on the way to the truck. So many boxes were crushed upon delivery and every boxed marked fragile had damage. They even used these hard-wheeled dollies to bounce a grandfather clock down the stairs too.

And they were in no hurry either. A move that should have taken 4 hours took 6, because they charge by the hour and as much as I pressed them, they would not give firm price or max number of hours. That one is on me because we didn't book anything better sooner. The final straw was when the movers demanded a tip at the end and wouldn't leave until we gave them one. $1400 and we're half-way through unpacking and have already probably $500 in broken stuff. I wish I had done the move myself. Now I'm in the process of filing claims and after 3 phone calls I still don't have a claim form to file. Can I give negative stars?

We hired them around the first week of October to move a 2600 sq ft home and my husband was under the impression from talking with the manager that they were going to finish packing up the rest of our belongings. Mind you, we had already packed A LOT of the house and it was already in the garage but there was still more to be packed up. Six men got there and told us they were not prepared to pack anything. My husband got on the phone and it was clarified that NEITHER my husband nor the manager clarified with each other the packing of the rest of the belongings so this was both their fault. There was a big, real wood dresser and in the process of them moving it they damaged our hardwood floors pretty bad and ripped up the lip leading from the master bedroom into the living room.

One guy tried to bring the dryer in through the garage door which was way smaller than the front door and ended up denting the garage door. The same guy then proceeded to drag the dryer on the new house floors into the laundry room until I looked at him and said, "ummmm you are scratching up the floors!" He looked at me and said, "Oh sorry". As they were moving the big wooden dresser into my bedroom, they put a big gash in the wall and did not even apologize. They were in such a hurry to get things moved into the house, we had 3-4 people bringing things in so fast and we were only two people, we had to tell them to slow down so we could figure out where things were supposed to go.

Half the stuff was supposed to be put in the garage and we told them that from the jump and my husband explained that to them and showed them what was to be put in the garage but they tried to be EVERYTHING in the house and then had the NERVE to say WE were unorganized! We have used a variety of movers in the past and this was THE WORST company by far. Do not hire them if you actually want to move when you are scheduled or if you care about customer service and honesty. They called us the morning of our move at 9am (we had a Saturday slot from 12-4) and asked if we could move on Monday, offering no incentive or apology. We said no because we work, and we had reserved this date weeks ago. First red flag. The movers showed up to the storage facility and took 30 min to assess the storage units with no sense of urgency for time even though we were being billed by the hour. After 30 min they said would not have time for the move. Even though we had moved from a house to this storage unit 3 months prior with the same amount of people, size truck, and allotted time with another company from a further distance.

They then blamed the number of items and said they had to get to another job. We told them even though we had done the same move prior, we could use a U-Haul for any extra items. We were clear about the size of the move from the beginning. They were trying to change the narrative and avoid responsibility. It was obvious from the morning call that they did not have the capacity for the job. From that call in the morning to the moment they arrived they did not want to do the move. They made no effort to problem solve. There was no apology, no customer service, no acknowledgement of wrongdoing of any kind. They canceled our contract on the spot and left us high and dry with no help to move. Moving is stressful and expensive. I would implore anyone to use any other business than this one. I informed them that I would be reporting them to the BBB and write reviews to help other customers steer clear of their business.

Their call center rep, Alicia, told me very clearly that I could cancel before the end of the day on Tuesday. Despite the numerous messages, calls, and emails I left them, I was told nothing more beyond needing to speak to "Tony" in order to cancel, someone I was never directed to. (It was maybe on my third or fourth phone call that "Tony" even was available). This behavior is COMPLETELY unacceptable for any moving service. I cannot stress enough, do NOT employ the services of this company unless you are okay with them KEEPING your deposit.

Three weeks ago I contacted your company to move my items from Ft Worth to Weatherford. Three different times I had to confirm my move for a two man crew, $139.00 an hour/four hour minimum. The day before I was to be moved I was contacted and told I could move to a different day or they only had a three man crew for $189.00. I let that go and went ahead with the move. I was told I was the 2nd move of the day and that was fine that they start wrapping up by 4pm. I called on Saturday to get an estimated time and asked for a call back, I never received one and an hour and a half later I called back and was told they were wrapping up by 2:30 and would get a call an hour before. So I went to Weatherford to unload a few things since we had been waiting and of course they call and say they are 30-40 minutes.

My husband rushed back to them and once he got there the three man crew one of the guys was allergic to cats and the others were complaining of how much we had. I got a call from Trace in that office –who is highly unprofessional and his only way of dealing with anything is to hang up on people. Come to find out the only thing I left out (by accident) on the 3rd confirmation I made was our gun safe. When the movers were sitting there for over an hour complaining- about the company (All my Sons) and telling him they were not going to move our boxes which were told from the beginning that were to be moved. No work done still at this time, Trace has hung up on me and my husband at least three times a piece.

I work for a title company and I know that customer service is important to me and should be to your company but we never got to move on Saturday nor did anyone call us back, we had asked to speak to the general manager and still have not received a phone call. This is the worst experience I could ever imagine. I expect a refund of my deposit as no one other than Chase there was helpful at all. He even said to us if it was his choice he would refund us the deposit for what we went through. He has seemed to be the only one to even call us back. Trace is awful and should be let go, his customer service skills are ridiculous! Also your general manager is not calling back and just avoiding the whole situation.

I expect this to be made right! We still have not moved into our home and your workers complained over an hour about some items that took him and I 30 minutes to load up. I expect a call back from your corporate office on how to rectify this situation. Also the guy that was allergic to cats told my husband he has a moving business on the side and can move us for cheaper. (Is this the kind of people you want running your company?)

A salesman, Rick, from AMS, Cherry Hill, NJ, came to my home with glowing promises to move my furniture safely and efficiently. He quoted the Google reviews for AMS, but failed to mention that the Cherry Hill NJ site has a horrendous reputation. Leading up to the move, I worked with Rick to ensure that the inventory “cube” sheet was 100% accurate.

When moving day came (Sep 2, 2021), AMS sent a truck that was much too small for the job, no blankets for padding the furniture, and an inexperienced crew that couldn’t handle my heavy, solid wood pieces. They put holes in my drywall and numerous gouges in my wood floors, and they failed to load about 20 pieces of furniture that were included on the inventory sheet that was part of the “Binding Estimate”. They failed to adequately wrap and secure the furniture when loading the truck. As of result of their negligence and incompetence, many of my expensive, heirloom pieces were badly damaged in transport. And, an antique chair mysteriously vanished from their truck while en route to my new home!

Chris, the owner of the Cherry Hill NJ site, was rude, dismissive, unapologetic and had the nerve to charge over $1000 more to move the remaining items even though it was their mistake and his responsibility. This forced me to rent a U Haul last-minute to personally move the remaining items myself. Now I am dealing directly with the claims department at AMS Corporate in an attempt to resolve the loss and severe damages to my property. Neither Chris nor Rick would return messages or phone calls.

I had purchased additional insurance prior to the move but I think that was a joke. I do not understand how AMS headquarters continues to allow the Cherry Hill NJ site to operate in an egregiously unprofessional manner that sullies the entire AMS reputation. Save yourself the aggravation and heartache, and go elsewhere for a moving company!

We used this company in last spring to move our home from Greenville, SC to Charleston, SC. First, they made an extra low estimate for the moving cost to get us hooked. On the moving day they sent one small truck for our five bedroom house. As a result, only half of our belongings was loaded. Our closing time was three days away. And they couldn’t move the rest of our stuff the next day. So they hauled our stuff to their storage site, and we had to set up the second moving day three weeks later.

At that time, our son was in terminal illness in a different city. There was no way we could supervise the second moving. We had to ask a neighbor to open the door for us. When we flew to Charleston to receive our second batch of furniture, we found several pieces missing. They had to go look for them. It turned out some of them were left in their storage. And others were left at the house. (We had to hire people to discard them, because we had to stay with our son). So we had to set the date for the third moving!

When we flew back to Charleston to receive the missing pieces, we found our expensive dining table badly damaged (see photos 1, 2 and 3). Some places were chewed by rodents, the table top fell off plus chipped because they dropped the whole thing! We also found out our vintage patio furniture was left behind. Again, we had to ask people to take them away. We contacted the company and was very poorly received. They said we signed the contract and couldn’t hold them accountable!

On the other hand, in the new address, they broke the wall (see photo #4) and scratch the floor in multiple place. One of them is shown on photo #5. We filed claim for damage. They paid us $350 in total! They asked for the receipt of our furniture. We couldn’t find it after moving. We have moved 5 times in the past 35 years. After the happy experiences of previous 4 times, this one was a shocking nightmare!

If I could give this company zero stars I would. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. Even if you are in the most desperate situation, do not waste your money. This is the most disrespectful and unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. I booked my move over a month out, where they were holding my stuff for 2 weeks while I was in between my lease and then move my things back into a new place. The night before my move into my new place, Michael ** emailed me to cancel due to a "forklift issue". When I started asking questions, it was clear the forklift was not broken and he was lying (not sure if he double booked or someone called out sick). They didn't have any availability for FOUR MORE days, so I had to be in my new place with nothing... no bed, kitchen stuff, clothes, etc.

Then they tried to tell me they couldn't offer any discount for the inconvenience which I eventually was able to negotiate $15 off per hour and only sending two workers instead of three. Pretty insane that being the owner of the facility that is all he could offer, but at that point I just wanted to get my stuff so I agreed. Then they arrived with my things, they were all nice and the move went fine until I found out that they broke my TV stand and it was completely destroyed. Additionally, things were missing which they were then looking for in the truck. Both of these things took an extra 30 minutes for them to deal with... which the company then tried to charge me an extra $100 for this extra 30 min and I declined after everything I'd been through. I told the truck driver why and he agreed with me that I shouldn't pay the extra money for them trying to deal with the broken/missing items, AND confirmed that the forklift was definitely not broken.

I then filed the claim for the broken TV stand (they broke other small things too but I didn't bother because of how difficult they are to work with), and a month later they come back and said they won't process my claim until I pay the extra $100.... I tried to call and explain the situation to the corporate office, but they said they couldn't do anything and only the local company can only waive the extra fee... but that they would call and get back to me... Of course they never called me back. So I called the local office to try and speak with them (for the 20th time at this point probably), and he did not care AT ALL. Per usual, he was short, rude and did not care that they broke my stuff or that I shouldn't have to pay for the time that they spent trying to find/fix things THEY BROKE/LOST. If you've made it this far... I am impressed and probably means you were still considering using them. In brief, I cannot, will not, recommend All My Sons to anyone. I paid for an experienced, efficient move. What I got was a pig-in-a-poke. The crew was inexperienced, slow, and poorly trained. Definitely not worth the $206.00 per hour I was being charged. I know most people move past one-star reviews, but I suggest you read mine. It is not about unreasonable demands or just being angry. These people seriously messed up my moving experience.

The company throws a lot of good jargon out to the public, but my experience is they make no effort to meet their standard, and when called on it, would make no effort to reasonably accommodate the customer for the inconvenience. On the website you will see phrases like “count on us for a stress free moving experience” (video), “quality matters…we own what we do”, and most laughably, “you have enough on your plate so relax, we’ll take care of everything” (video). The have a great set of values, six in all, but I saw no evidence of those in play.

Before All My Sons arrived at my home, I had already moved all of the small items. I spent two weeks packing and moving dishware, collectibles, clocks, etc. Virtually all that was left for them was furniture and large tools in my garage. There were a few boxes and odd items like vacuums, but nothing out of the ordinary. I also had at least two conversations with them prior to moving day about what would be moved – two beds, one of them a murphy bed I disassembled to make it easy, a loveseat, a couple of China cabinets, dining room set and chairs, - normal furniture. During these conversations I was told to expect it to take about 5 or 6 hours to complete, which sounded reasonable since I was reserving a three-man crew. I was assured their people were well trained and experienced. Too bad for me.

When the crew arrived, the lead told me it would take about 4 hours to load it all up. No problem with that, so I stepped aside and let them go to work. It quickly became apparent to me that the crew was slow from the start. The two helpers didn’t seem to know what to do or where to begin. I began to watch them more closely and noted the helpers did not seem to understand material handling very well. (I worked several years in warehousing and have been a safety professional for many more, so I know a thing or two about it.) I began to work more closely with them, showing them better ways to move items, ways that reduced stress and had a lower chance of hurting someone or damaging my furniture.

Most of the time the lead was on the truck arranging items as they were brought out of the house. At about the 3 hour mark he came to me to say that they would not be able to get all my stuff on the truck. Now mind you, this is a 26 ft box truck, not a small piece of machinery. I took a look at the truck and immediately recognized they were just putting things in, they weren’t arranging anything for efficiency. There were voids in the space they had blocked with large items, small items were loaded in before big ones, leaving less room to stack and arrange. I explained this and they began to unload/rearrange the truck. I began to question their experience and that is when I learned the “highly experienced, capable crew” sent to my home consisted of a lead with 1 month of experience and two helpers who were being trained. One of them had a week under his belt, the other was experiencing his first day on the job.

At the 6 ½ hour point they were through with the loading. This is way beyond the 4 hour estimate, and keep in mind, they charge by the hour. At this point in the process I had already progressed from being the customer to being a manager, and had been on the phone with the local office to let them know the process was not going smoothly and that I was not happy with it. Most importantly, I was not happy with the company – the crew was not to blame for what had transpired so far, they were working hard, they just did not have the experience, training, or leadership needed. Certainly not enough to warrant $206.00 per hour plus materials.

When we arrived at the storage unit to offload they calculated my billing based on the time expected to complete the job. They have to collect the final amount prior to offloading. I was told the expected time to finish was 7PM. They started at 9:00AM, so we are talking 10 hours to complete an hourly job I was told would be done in about 6! I looked at the situation and realized, based on my observations of the loading process, they would not be able to complete it, not by themselves. At this point I became a working supervisor. I directed most of the unloading and stacking, and did a lot of heavy lifting. It was not what I paid for, but it was the hand I was dealt so I did what I had to do.

I followed up the next day with a phone call to the local office to let them know about my experience. Their response was a paltry discount of $237.93. This against a $2800.00 bill for a service where I had to go from customer to manager to working supervisor to get the job done. I suggested a lower rate, one that reflected the lack of experience and training - $160.00 and hour. After all, their competitors charge about this for their experienced crews. I was refused. I believe I was overcharged for something I did not receive – an experienced, efficient crew and the peace of knowing my move would be handled without needing me to get involved. Seriously, Two Men and a Truck provided better service at a better price when I moved into the home 3 years prior. I only wish they had been available during my schedule for this move.

I said “wait, I haven’t even cancelled my move…. But that’s ok, go ahead and cancel.” I was not irate, I didn’t yell, but I was asking questions and making statements because of his lack of accuracy with our move. I told him now I only have three days to find someone else and he said “well I’ve been calling you.“ And I told him I returned every call. He accused me of not returning his calls. So when we hung up, I called back and spoke to the gentlemen who answered my call before and asked him if he remembered I called and he said (and I quote) “yes ma’am! I personally gave him your message myself.” So not only was PAUL rude, impatient, and lacked experience, he accused me of lying by saying I never returned any calls. I will NEVER use a company that doesn’t treat me with respect.

Avoid this company at all costs. So much damage, unprofessional crew, office employees were unwilling to help, frequent changes in date of move and time of move, personal items were damaged, and the list goes on and on. I HAD TO REPAIR 14 HOLES IN MY WALLS WHEN THEY WERE DONE MOVING US OUT OF OUR HOUSE. No response from the company re: compensation. DO NOT USE THEM! WE'D GIVE 0 STARS IF WE COULD.

DO NOT USE ALL MY SONS!! They are the worst moving company you can hire! Worst possible experience imaginable. This company is a nightmare!! From the start it was a disgrace. Got to the moving point well ahead of schedule to start the clock. They had 3 men and halfway through one left leaving only two. Then one more of the men also left the job which left only one person to carry out the rest which was obviously impossible to accomplish. They did not complete the move and left almost half behind stating it was “too much to carry for two men”! If that was not enough, nobody is there after a certain time to pick up the phone.

Finally, after they couldn’t complete the job they said they would hold what they had and come the following business day to collect the rest, but charging us for storage (2 days) in the process. I negotiated the storage part to zero but was charged the next day almost the same amount as the first day. $1479 the first day and $1208 the second when it should have been completed in one day as that was the agreement.

The original move to the storage unit seemed good. I even was asked to give them a good rating. I did. The follow up move was that should of been easier was a nightmare. I had asked for same crew and got two other movers with the same lead. One of the movers used racial slurs and aggravated his peers for the fun of it. Later I found he advised he moved to AZ due to challenges in another state. Two of them almost got into a fight. Now damages to my stuff jewelry box turned upside down and broke. Couch and table chairs one of the movers had something sharp in pocket and damaged leather really bad. Marble table chipped. Desk put together badly. I called company and was advised send info and it would be taken care of. I sent twice. No answer. I had read the review and thought no it cannot be that bad. Well it is!

I used this company for a local move in Newport News, Va on June 7th. The first crew we had did things in ways we take issue with. We paid for the packing and moving service starting at a storage unit then moving to our apartment. The issues we had started with the packing service which they used our paper towels, hand rags, hand towels, bedsheets, and plastic wrap leading to things breaking.

Now let me back track. We booked this service back in February and no one ever came out to put an eye on everything we had we only had a virtual assessment which led to a to small truck coming which caused for the company having to come back for a 2nd day instead of having a 2nd smaller truck there at the time of the service. That is my bigger issue paying for a 2nd day of service that should have been done in one day. I have emailed the local company and corporate and gotten no response. Please don't use this company especially in Newport News, VA.

If I could make this NEGATIVE STARS I would. But I’m forced to give them one just to write this review about how terrible they were. We scheduled our move date over three months ago and CONFIRMED NUMEROUS times for the date and time. June 26th we waited and waited for the movers to show up. 9 am rolls around and no call no movers. They were late… I call corporate and speak to a very rude dispatcher Dolores or something like that… She just tells us they rescheduled our move out date because the crew didn’t finish the load the night before and had to unload it into vaults.

Never got a call and then was told that they may not show up today! I told them absolutely unacceptable because we CONFIRMED OUR MOVE DATE THREE MONTHS PRIOR! We had paid our deposit in advance! She was rude then I demanded to speak to manager and placed on hold for 20 mins to then speak with an Alfonso. He stated the crew would have to finish their job from the night before and then asked WHY do we have to wait for a crew that didn’t do their job in the first place and why didn’t anyone call us?! Got the runaround and finally after 6 hrs of wasting the day waiting for movers they sent a different crew!

This crew shows up and tosses our things around, doesn’t wrap anything and the items we hired them to move are DAMAGED! Over 3k of furniture DAMAGED!! I’ve been WAITING for a response or call from the claims department for a WEEK now and not even an apology. They charged us $600 dollars for movers that did a ** job! And if you try to go on their social media pages to comment on their posts and post complaints they DELETE THEM! This company is the absolute WORST! I’ve never hired movers before because I feared this nightmare but our furniture was heavy and I needed help! I hired help and they ruined my belongings!!! This was the worst and waste of time and money! I posted all the photos of damage on my social media and GOOGLE review!

Got a call with our moving time. Later on the day, it got moved. And got moved AGAIN. After waiting the whole day, we find out that the customer before us, with a partial move decided to make it a full move. They accommodated their needs and LEFT US without a truck. Got scheduled for next day, time NOT guaranteed. All we got was a 10% discount. NEVER AGAIN.

Similar experience to most of the other negative reviews. They are very unclear about their quotes on the phone and never mention they charge a $300 transport fee minimum, no matter if you are moving to another city or 15 minutes down the road. After a long back and forth we ended up paying about $1000. They advertise themselves as professional piano movers, which was the reason we hired them in the first place instead of just getting a u-haul and a specific piano mover. This was a huge mistake. At one point the crew was trying to get me as one of the people to carry my own piano down the stairs, but couldn't do it and ended up having to call a second crew to load the piano on a second truck just for the piano.

The movers themselves were fine, and if you are moving a big house it might be worth using them, but they advertise themselves falsely as an inexpensive option, railroad you on the cost with a bunch of fees that are buried in fine print, and then have a very talented complaints department who will waffle, sympathize, apologize and do everything they can to get you off the phone and exhaust you into just accepting the cost. I can't imagine they get much return business.

On Tuesday, June 8, 2021, I contacted “All My Sons Moving.” I explained to the woman with whom I spoke what items would need to be moved from my house that was 30 minutes from this All My Sons location. After providing her with the detailed information, she quoted me $430 for the move. (She initially said it would cost $420-something, but she said that it could be closer to $430, and so she told me to assume $430.) I agreed with that price and paid the requested $100 deposit. Of course, this deposit operated as consideration for the agreement into which we had entered. Still, they did not send me any receipt for my payment or confirmation of scheduling.

A couple days later, and ONE DAY before my scheduled move, the Boulder location Operations Manager, Jonathan Joe **, called me. He began the conversation by apologizing for not calling me sooner, as it is apparently their practice to contact clients on the same day they pay the deposit or the day after to schedule the moving time. He then told me they did not have my email or address on file. I provided that information and again notified him regarding what would need to be moved (the same information relayed when I first called to schedule). As we were preparing to conclude the call, I told him I wanted to confirm a final time that the cost is $430. He immediately became defensive and said something like, “I don’t know who told you that but that’s not even close. It’s going to be more like $750-800.”

This was almost double what I had been quoted before and I am on a budget, as are many people. I told him that, due to this change, I wasn’t sure if this was going to work and I needed to think about it. He rudely said that if I couldn’t confirm at that exact moment, he wouldn’t put me on the schedule. I expressed frustration over being contacted late to schedule, being quoted a higher price, and then being pushed to make an immediate commitment. Jonathan then proceeded to tell me that no one quoted me $430 and that I made it up or got it from a different moving company. I informed him that I only contact a single moving company – them and that I did not make up the price. I had actually written it on a notepad on the day I paid the deposit.

He again said no one from his company quoted $430 and I made up the price. His accusations that I was somehow being dishonest (when he was mistaken and avoiding accountability) led me to tell him the arrangement would no longer work and I requested a refund of my $100 deposit. He said he would not refund me because cancellations must be more than 48 hours before the move in order for a refund to be issues. I explained why this obviously was not fair – he called me late, he changed the price, and no one ever informed me of this policy (again, they didn’t have my email). He said it didn’t matter and he wasn’t going to refund me. He then said he was going to listen to the recordings (suggesting again that I was lying) and I told him to please do so because it would corroborate everything I told him. He then hung up on me as I was in the middle of speaking.

I have never had any experience like this with a business ever before. They called me late to change the price and then wrongfully withheld my money. On top of that, Jonathan spoke to me disrespectfully, repeatedly accused me of lying, hung up on me, and created a HUGE inconvenience because now my move out date is delayed. I was not met with any sort of apology but just afront after afront. This is outrageous and I will never consider paying these people again for the privilege of being treated like dog crap.

Before hiring this company, read the many negative complaints on the Better Business Bureau website. AMS was extremely careless, breaking the leg off an antique table because they did not wrap it, scratching a door in our home, removing and losing a glass shelf in a cabinet, and breaking a credenza. When I filed for damages, the headquarters in Texas did not meet the conditions of its own contract and refused to discuss it with me, even through the BBB. In addition, the movers arrived so late they could not finish the move. They did not return on the agreed upon date to finish, and when we rescheduled, they appeared 3 hours late with no communication. Their movers are clearly overworked, stating they have not had a day off in weeks. If the parent company in Texas were willing to discuss the disputed damages, I might be more sympathetic.

When I initially contacted AMS Moving in Salt Lake City, UT, whomever I spoke with on the phone was the nicest, most accommodating person. He promised such a no-hassle, worry free move, that at the end of the call he even said, "Now will you do something for me? Relax, we will take care of everything." Worst mistake - Worst moving company - Worst people to deal with (after you give them your deposit) - Worst attitudes - Worst care for your belongings...I could go on and on.

They started the day with the mover coming in and claiming my Golden Retriever was his! He kept asking where we got him from because he was sure our family dog was really his. It went from there to constant whining about how hot it was (75 degrees) and how giant my house was (3 bedroom) and how they wouldn't be able to fit it all in a 26' truck and that I'd have to pay extra for a second trip, but they wouldn't have time for that in one day anyway.

When that frustrated me, the movers went so far as to tell me that the "management" always does this to customers - over promises and under delivers, and that he and his crew had already put in their 2-week notice. He also offered to move my stuff "on the side" if I wanted them to finish the job. When I didn't take him up on it, they moved about 60% of the house, unloaded it in a storage unit and told me they'd meet me back at my home to get the rest, and never showed up. It left my son and I to move the remaining items, and parts of beds and broken pieces of furniture they had left behind. Obviously, they would not take my calls afterward, but they did charge me the full moving day hours. BEWARE!!!!

I am not one to usually submit reviews, but due to the horrific nature of the service, I feel it's my duty to inform others of this rogue outfit. I have had nothing but problems since using the company. I recommend you avoid them at all costs. All My Sons were employed to move my family 8 miles. The moving team turned up, annoyed they had a full working house to move (even though the number of items were stated in the contract). They complained they had no tools and stomped around the house, to the point it made my wife uncomfortable. This continued as they loaded the van.

I indicated to the team, one high value item and signed paperwork to ensuring this was an item of care; the group ignored the moving recommendations- breaking in half a $5000 bookcase. The foreman then got angry at his mistake, shouting at my wife, causing my wife to leave due to the atmosphere. I was asked to submit a claim for the damage, All My Sons came back with a settlement offer of $250.00 not even 10% of the item and basically avoided all elements of accountability. In summary no respect for customers, no respect for females, no accountability on service. Avoid.
