Horrible company. Total ripoff with hidden charges. The movers were fine. But the company charges you for "drive time" from their office to your home, so that adds an hour to your charge for the full crew, so if you have a crew of 3 it adds $190 for them to drive to your home before any move has started. This was never explained to us. Then, we were charged nearly $100 for "moving supplies" which consisted of a little shrink wrap and a mattress bag. That's it. $100 for that! They also did a bait and switch on the initial price, trying to add $60 to the hourly charge when they called and said they could come earlier for our job due to their scheduling issues. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS.

I am a disabled 73 year old man who served (1969-1975). On April 25th, 2024, I had a move scheduled with this company. At 4 AM I suffered a Diabetic episode that sent me to the hospital for 3 days. At 8:30 AM I talked to the driver and told him of my age and situation. "We will take great care of you," promised the driver. Once back at home, my wife told me the crew had turned my dresser upside down and ransacked it in front of her while laughing. An inventory revealed 22,000 worth of jewels, watches and Mantle BB cards gone! No one else had access or opportunity except the movers. I filed a claim and, talked to the adjuster once, and was then ignored for 60 days. I provided an inventory, photos, prices, Police Report, receipts and a sworn statement from my wife.

Adjuster denied my claim, saying I didn't prove anything, and it comes down to my word against theirs, and I should contact my home insurance, and maybe they can help me. I also reported that these two sexually harassed my 72 year old wife, destroyed my front porch and demanded $50 apiece for a 'tip.' Rude, bullying, elder abuse behavior causing major stress and physical problems. I also suffer from CHF, am a recent stage 4 Cancer survivor and can barely walk at this point. I've seen animals treated better than this. When I complained to 'management,' I was laughed at and ridiculed. BEWARE!

I would not recommend this company to anyone. First, at the origin, in Salt Lake City, I was quoted $1416 + materials for the loading of a trailer (not affiliated with AMS). That was $177/hr for 3 man crew and 8 hours. I knew it would take more than 8 hours, so I factored in a few more hours. When asked about materials, the response was for a 3 BR house, probably around $500. The crew showed up 4 hours late on the first day. They did work until 730pm, but their DOT time had run out and had to leave. They came back and finished the next day. Total of 14 hours, including drive time. That's $2478. Now, my bill was $5826. So, $3400 in materials?! I have yet to get an itemized receipt as I am still fighting.

On destination, I received a call this morning from the local All My Sons here in Virginia Beach. They have had me scheduled for a month and half now. I am 3 days out from delivery of my truck, and the local place calls me to let me know they will not be able to unload because my house is just across the state line in NC. They have had my address the entire time. And now they wait until 3 days before delivery to tell me. Very unprofessional people on both sides of the move. So it is not a local thing, it is a company thing.

I hired All My Sons 7/23/24 in Oregon to pack a POD to be moved to Illinois. When it was unpacked a month later by professional movers and packers "this is the worst packing job we have ever seen". Futon was broken/scratched/dented, 2 tables dented and scratched and one of the legs broken, 7 pictures uncovered and not packed at all just thrown in, a lamp destroyed, 2 wardrobe boxes with clothes just stuffed into it/not hanging, and a Queen mattress untied/loosely placed on top of everything making it almost impossible to open the POD once it arrived. I paid $1600 for these 3 men to ruin 50% of my things as there are too numerous to count other damages to detail. I will NEVER use or recommend them for anyone to use. Obviously VERY unprofessional.

I’ve used All My Sons twice, and both moves have been seamless. The most recent move finished up today. I had them pack my house one day and move on another day. The crew that packed, Tracy and D’quan did a great job. They were very thorough and diligent. I noticed how well they divided the job and communicated with each other in order to get the job finished. The crew that worked today, Tracy and Darien, moved things with care and I had no worries!! Both of them worked together as well and I noticed they used the same “divide and conquer” approach. All of the workers who have been part of my move have had great attitudes and attention to detail. From the person I spoke with on the phone to make the reservation, the crew, and everyone in between, they’ve all made it a great experience.

If there was an option for zero stars, that is what they would get. My boyfriend booked this moving company one month in advance for the day before his apartment move-out date, paid the deposit, and thought everything was set. However, this company completely failed to schedule the move, leaving him scrambling at the last minute. Instead of taking responsibility, they offered to either reschedule or reimburse the deposit. No attempt was made to fix their mistake and he was forced to reschedule, incurring extra expenses as he had to pay the apartment complex for the additional days he had to wait.

When the new moving date finally arrived, he received a call that the driver had COVID and they wouldn't be available for additional 2 days with no alternate driver. Once again, there was no real effort to make things right--just another offer to reschedule or reimburse the deposit. When they were asked about reimbursing the apartment fees due to their delay, they refused.

This company is unreliable and unprofessional with a total lack of any sense of responsibility. Requesting their services actually incurred financial loss from apartment fees after putting my boyfriend off after they didn't bother to show up when booked well in advance, not to mention the unnecessary stress of scrambling to find anyone we knew who would be willing to help move as he was facing a move-out deadline that had already passed thanks to this company. Do yourself a favor and find a different moving company. We will never request this company's services again and strongly advise others to stay away.

And no one is fooled by the generic "response from the owner" to save face thanking us for "the opportunity to learn and improve" because this does not reflect your goal of "quality customer service and satisfaction" when clearly that is not happening. We can't speak to your "service" because you never showed up. If quality and satisfaction was your goal, we wouldn't have to resort to negative reviews to get your attention. We shouldn't have to be contacting you to "further discuss." You should have taken the initiative to correct your mistake when it occurred.

Incompetent, inexperienced scrawny movers that damaged our $6,500 bed and other items (on this very small one bedroom move), as well as extensive wall damages while moving, and missing hardware to put the bed together. After numerous attempts to get them to reverse the moving expense, they offered us $220 in damage refund, and couldn't care less how damaging their awful and incompetent move affected our lives. Not a good experience. Everything sounded great when booking. They advised they provide shrink wrap so no need to take items from dressers. They didn’t advise you are charged for this. I was moving from a small 3/2 house with some outdoor furniture. I had everything boxed up. They estimated it would take the movers approximately 3 hours. It took them 7 hours to load. They still couldn’t get 3 items on the truck. We had to arrange to take them ourselves.

The day of unloading they collected upfront for the unloading and advised that is all I would be charged. I questioned regardless of the time it would take and they advised they were allowed more time to unload. They started around 10:45 am. At 1:33 pm they advised they were quitting at 1:45 and placed all the boxes on my back porch. I sent pics of two broken items that were clearly marked fragile. The box was crushed and placed upside down. It has been over a week and I have not heard anything back regarding the broken items. I would never book this company again. Absolutely I do not recommend. Check other options for movers.

All My Sons gave me an afternoon time, around 11. They didn't show up until 5:00. The two movers they sent were very slow and unprofessional. My friends had to help them along by taking stuff to truck and wrapping up tvs and appliances. They knocked over my TV, laid my couch on the ground to talk on the phone, stood around in the truck for long lengths of time. I had to remind them how much it was costing me. It took 3 hours to load an essentially 1 bedroom apartment. At this time it was too late to unload. I had to meet them the next day to unload a few miles away. I was charged $1700 because of the time wasted. I was only reimbursed $295 after all of this. Completely ridiculous!!!

Do not chose All My Sons, if you are planning to make a move. If I could give 0 Stars, I would. The management is dishonest and will scam you with a low estimate and hit you with a higher charge when they have your furniture in their trucks. This was the worst move we have ever experienced. I would like to say up front, the issues were with the managers, not the men who moved us. The three men busted their butts to get all our furniture loaded and unloaded.

We shopped around to find the cheapest movers we could find. All the others quoted in the $259 per hour. I called 3 months prior to the move. I told him that I had a one bedroom apartment and a 10 x 10 storage unit with approximately 50 boxes. I asked for an approximate total for the move, but he stated that he could not give a quote, however, he again quoted $149 per hour.

Since this was the cheapest, we decided to go with them and paid a $100 deposit on 29 May 24. I called on many occasions to get and estimate but always got the same answer. The week before, I talked to Jason on 16 Jul to confirm the move and to get an approximate cost to the move. Again, I explained that we had a one bedroom apartment and a 10 x 10 storage room. He asked me if we had any items which needed special wrapping/protection. I told him that we had a 65 in TV and a dresser mirror. He quoted that the cost would be $1,020 - $1,200. I told him that we did not want to get any surprises so we confirmed the move for 22 Jul. On 22 July, we got a call that they did not have enough people to execute the move so we rescheduled to 24 July.

On 24 July, my wife met movers at the storage locker. My wife was shocked that the truck was so small. The lead mover stated that they were contracted to move the storage locker and a TV and dresser. He said that the cost was $199 per hour vice the quoted cost of $149. It was like a bomb was dropped on my wife. I called Jason and complained that this is not what we contracted for. He said that he would make it right. When they arrived at the apartment, they started loading the truck. Unfortunately, they only had a 26 ft truck and was not able to load all the items. The TV and patio furniture were left behind. We had to move the remaining items ourselves.

When we got to my new home, surprise, they quoted $1,900. Me and my wife exploded, especially my wife. They would not unload until we paid. Again, we talked to Jason about this but he would not budge. Classic example of bait and switch. The lead mover told us that they got us unloaded in under an hour $300 refund. I tried to call Jason 3 days in a row, leaving messages to call me back. He ignored my messages and never called. To this day, we still have not receive the refund. I highly recommend that you do not choose All My Sons to move your furniture. The management is dishonest and will scam you with a low quote and change it to a higher cost.

The moving crew was professional and kind (Deshawn and his teammate), but the office staff's service was highly disappointing. Initially, I was quoted a fair rate for one hour of moving, and was told it was a good deal that might increase soon, so I accepted. However, arranging the moving time proved frustrating. Despite multiple attempts to get confirmation and details, the staff was unresponsive and more focused on sending irrelevant messages about their customer service rather than providing the essential booking information.

After 2 days of follow-ups, I finally received the details. On the moving day, I was told the crew would arrive in the afternoon and would call 30 minutes before their arrival. When the time came, I still hadn’t heard from them, so I called the office. They informed me that the crew was on their way, that the manager Elijah would call me shortly, and that their estimated arrival time was 3:45 PM. No one ever called, but fortunately, I decided to head over early because the movers arrived sooner than expected.

To top it off, I was surprised by the final bill, which was double the quoted amount. They charged for both labor and travel time, which had not been disclosed initially. Although this information was sent via email, it was presented in a misleading way that suggested these charges were included. Overall, the communication was terrible, and I cannot recommend their services.

1- All workers are long-term with experience and education, and they don't send 1099 contracted people - 2 of the guys that came were contracted for the job (as per their driver), and they were reeking of weed.
2- If the job takes less than the quoted time, I won't pay the whole amount - The driver kept my furniture as hostage until I paid the full amount - and if I refused, he told me he would have taken it to their warehouse to store, until I pay the full amount.

3- The truck was too small for the project, and they left many items home.

4- The driver started to claim that the agent that I scheduled the work with was an idiot.
5- They smashed my antique lamp, and kept it hidden behind a couch that I was to leave.
6- They smashed my bed in the wall, going through it.

7- they came without the right equipment to transport my baby grand piano - again claiming that their sales agent (Dmitri) is an idiot.

In the meantime, there was horrible, disorganized and rude communication between the managers, Anthony and Zac, myself and the movers. I had the misfortune of using All My Sons last August. They sent too small a truck, an unqualified crew and damaged so much of my property its unbelievable! My door frames were damaged and my lower level stair well wall had a 15" gouge in the dry wall. The kids they sent as the crew either didn't know what they were doing or couldn't read. My 60" TV was not properly packed. Had I not scene them pick it up, they would have dropped it out the bottom of the box. There was no bottom on this carton. It was a 'wrap around'. Nothing was done to keep it in the box at the bottom. When lifted, the TV started sliding out of the bottom. They were stopped and made to secure it. No matter. TV went out to the truck were it was laid flat on the truck floor were they then placed several large framed paintings ON TOP OF THE TV! Their own carton said "Do NOT lay flat". TV never came back on. No fuzz, nothing.

A second truck had to come back a few days later to get what didn't fit in the first truck. It was then that I was informed that the original lead man was let go. I had ordered their largest truck. I had one BR set, one dining room set with china cabinet, two living room sets (two couches, one love seat, one recliner, one swivel chair and ottoman and three side tables.) One small desk and two file cabinets.

The rest of the load was boxes and misc. things like lamps. These geniuses loaded all the boxes first and had to leave three dining room chairs and the ottoman for the second truck. Took from 8am till 4pm to load, deliver and off load. Mileage was no more than 15. I had knee surgery in Aug. and hand surgery in Jan. so I was in no condition to fill out their claim forms in their so called claim time, even though I did call them. Could not fill out these forms online. Oh, and don't forget the pictures (they wanted hard copies). I will be contacting an attorney and the Better Business Bureau.

These items where family heirlooms but still had actual monetary value of thousand of dollars to replace (If they could be found at all). Their response was to offer me $75 (which was base on the weight of the items). This was an insult on top of being ripped off initially. I would avoid this business. There are many "professional" movers to choose from. This is not one of them.

I'm in total shock. I used this company to move a single bedroom (not a one bedroom apartment a single room) and mini fridge for my daughter 3.8 miles in between apartments. Note it was a bedroom queen bed w/metal frame no head board, tall dresser night stand, 2 TV's, tall lamp, few lamps, a tall mirror and a TV stand. Plus a few misc. boxes of clothing and a misc kitchen box. NO OTHER FURNITURE! The total charge was just shy of $1,000!!! Yes you read that right. It is not a typo. In addition to the movers made my daughter very uncomfortable. I am just astonished! I moved all this furniture in a year ago and it took me and my husband two hours. How they claim it was over 5 hours is ridiculous. Buyer beware, they do not present as an honest company. Also my daughter gave her address which was correct, they showed up at a different address, not sure where but called mad, it was their error. STAY AWAY is my advise...

BEWARE! Do not use them under any circumstances! $1287 for a 6 mile move for basically a bedroom set, recliner, kitchen table set, and exercise bike. (I'd already moved 6 car fulls worth of everything I could carry.) They did not bring working power tools and only one person could use the few tools they brought. The others watched while he tried to disassemble things. The movers were nice but they didn't have the needed tools and they couldn't fit my sofa or desk out the door (prior movers had gotten them to fit) so I will have to call a junk removal company to cut them up. (Update: they also didn't reassemble my storage bed correctly, broke a lamp, and damaged my floors.) Don't repeat my mistake. Use literally any other company.

DO NOT CHOOSE AS YOUR MOVING COMPANY! They are completely unreliable as a company. Their truck broke down, kept all of my belongings for a day, and delivered the next evening. Absolutely unacceptable and their response was it was a freak accident and kept me liable for everything. Did not want to pay a single dollar towards their original fee, did not compensate in any way shape or form. They moved things from the broken down truck to another truck, chipping all of my furniture and broke two nightstands. Their response was it falls on me. Do not choose them, they are not a reliable company, rude representatives, completely awful experience with them.

Quite a well put together scam. My wife called Cicely, you know, like the actress, at All My Sons Moving on Railhead Dr. to help us with a difficult move. Highest rated mover in DFW? Official mover of the Dallas Cowboys? Wish they could move Jerry back to Arkansas. She assured us that they were not the kind of company that takes advantage of their customers, then they did just that. We were moving from 10 acres to a housing development and they were picking up furniture at the house and two storage barns. They quoted us three guys at $189 an hour at 4 hours, $800 for the entire move. We had a phone conference the day before to explain the charges and times and we put down a hundred-dollar deposit for a June. I had a full week to prepare. Every box was labelled, furniture was already shrink wrapped and I started at 630a the day of to make sure that we would be ready at 8 to 845a.

Kishaun, Murlow and Callan show up almost 2 hours late. They were good kids but it was apparent that Kishaun was the brains. The first thing they do is ask if I have water. I do and I have snacks. I worked my butt off trying to help them but it became apparent that everything is predicated on taking as much time as possible. They were taking my shrink-wrapped furniture and covering it with moving blankets and shrinking it again. They wrapped the fridge and I mentioned multiple times that the fridge would not go out the door wrapped. Then we had to take it off after they ignored me.

What I planned as 90 minutes at the farm and 2 hours at the house quickly got out of hand. Kishaun made sure I knew that they did not get paid as much if they don’t get a five star review and all three mentioned multiple times that they were independent contractors who had nothing to do with the pricing and policy. How convenient. We finish at the farm and we head to the house and they stop and get lunch, which did not bother me in the least. It was hot and they were earning it.

They show, they open the truck, and Kishaun heads in to get my pound of flesh. He’s explaining that the company is doing some things that he does not agree with and he hits me with $1900. $277 for a fuel surcharge and a $328 travel time expensive, none of which was mentioned in the conference and we were moving exactly 11 miles from the farm. $189 is charged for supplies, shrink wrap and tape and it was 95 percent my supplies. I ask about an invoice, printed receipts that have everything you are charging me for. No can do, Bossman. I told them that was not going to happen. I briefly think about letting them take everything we own and seeing just how big a fight I can get into but the voice of reason steps in.

My wife calls and talks to Brad W, who is the coldest, rudest human being on the planet, and it is quickly apparent that he could care less. His boss, Carlos is worse, and he is apparently on his ladies' time constantly, not my words, his employees. I look outside and the other two are sitting on the back of the truck and there goes their independent contractor story. A $2500 security deposit and first month’s rent has us scrambling for a card with room on it to pay their ransom demand. Kishaun reads the card number to Brad and Brad gets a confirmation number. He does that so you can’t stop the payment on the card after they leave. They wait until it's late, you’re tired and you just want it to go away. Like I said, a well put together scam.

After we paid, they could not get out of there fast enough, slamming everything in the garage. Kishaun even thanked me for being so patient. This entire exchange would make a great expose for Texas Monthly or Dallas Observer. On the bright side, I got three free padded moving blankets when they were in such a hurry to leave, they forgot to unwrap them. I also kept the three crisp one-hundred-dollar bills that I intended on tipping the crew with. I guess they weren’t crisp after I sweated on them all day. Brad, if you want the blankets back, I’ll sell them to you for cost plus a fuel fee and travel time and before you have the girls in the office write a well-crafted “Warm Regards” reply and a phone number that no one answers, save your effort. You’re only going to get me once, but the world is full of people to take advantage of. No, my friends, I cannot endorse the way these thieves do business. Please don't give them the time of day.

We hired All My Sons South Raleigh for a local move from one home to another. The move started poorly. One of the drivers backed into the gutter and damaged the front porch exterior. The damage was not severe, but our home buyers were closing in just a couple of weeks. I was told it would be taken care of. Towards the end of removing all of our belongings, they scratched the hardwood floors in 2 locations. I provided photos, estimates, everything requested in the claim. My request for reimbursement for the damages they caused was $1938.14. (Our total move cost $5k). Today I received a settlement offer for $450 from the claims office in Texas. I told them that was unacceptable and that it didn't even cover the cost of materials for both of the repairs. The claims person refused to budge stating he was following corporate policy.

I asked to escalate the issue or use whatever appeal process they have in place and he told me the offer was final and I have 15 days to accept or they will not pay anything! I called the South Raleigh office and they are calling to try and get the offer improved. I have opened a complaint against them with Better Business Bureau. I see a pattern of the company not paying the full value on damages even when a customer selects additional insurance or full valuation replacement, which I did. Do not use this company for moves. Check the BBB website for the complaints against them and their typical response - which is not providing a satisfactory resolution to the customer.

All these statement contradicted what was in the the quote I signed. When they arrived at the drop-off location, he said I had to pay more or they would not unload. I questioned why the bill was for more. Martin said due to the hours worked. He said they used 9 hours to load and unload. I said my quote was for 11 hours so the bill should be less. He said I had to pay or they wouldn't unload. After I paid, three of the crew just left and did no unloading! Even after I had just paid for a crew of 6 to unload.

As explained during my phone call to schedule the move I only had a few bulky/heavy items that needed to be moved while my hubby was out of town. I listed each item in that conversation and was told it would not take more than three hours to complete. After speaking with a few of their competitors I decided this was going to be a great option and proceeded.

First of all the two movers show up in a truck that was way larger than necessary. I had explained several times it wasn't going to be an entire household and just a few items so I was shocked to see them pull up in this truck that I think neither of them knew how to operate. As I watched them back into the driveway and then realized they were unable to lower the loading dock due to the size of the truck they then pulled the truck into the street. I got a bit panicked and asked myself if I made a mistake...Mind you...this is all on the clock so I am being charged for this...

As the two movers entered my home I proceeded to show them the exact pieces I wanted moved and immediately anticipated them to start hustling..no real sense of urgency or hustle. I was very specific in telling them our office desk had to be moved in two parts because of the size and weight. They had a real arrogance about them and did in fact take the desk apart but decided on re-assembling it, wrapping it up and moving it...I then told them again, it had to be taken apart to move due to size and weight. However they knew better than I and as they took the desk outside it snapped in half. I had to file a claim which was settled for $100. Again, they're on the clock for taking it apart, putting it back together and then standing outside looking at it after it broke so I am being charged for this...in addition to my husband working from home and not having a desk!

The few pieces of furniture I was moving were wrapped like it was made of gold, which took so much time! Why hadn't they cared this much when I asked to move the desk in two pieces? Again, all this wrapping took forever and I was getting annoyed because at this point we were approaching the three hour mark where I thought we'd be on the other side of this and unloading.

In the midst of my frustration the manager called to ask how it was going to which I said, "it is taking them forever and they just barely started loading the truck!". He said, "oh I will call them and ask them to move a little quicker". I said, "don't bother distracting them, they are already taking too long to move items that shouldn't have taken this long and talk to them when they get back to the yard!".

This move should not have taken SEVEN hours! I can list what they moved for me and it was absolutely shocking how long it took. I truly believe they milk that clock at an hourly rate. Had I known it was really going to take seven hours I would have waited for my husband to get home from business travel and done it ourselves. It was an exorbitant amount of money for what I had to deal with that day and the way they tinkered around wrapping stuff...it was too much!

This was the worst moving company I have ever encountered. It started out badly and just got worse. Underestimated size of truck necessary. It made it necessary for me to rent a smaller truck and 5 trips for a 1500 square foot house. They were hired to pack and move. They packed NOTHING. The thing that helped is that I had packed a good amount already. The crew they sent were not competent. No one really seemed to know what to do or how to do things. They did not use padding on the furniture and this resulted in damage to oak, maple, and cherry furnishings. They left random things in every room. Clocks they never packed. Cords and cables from a 65 inch TV they boxed in a box I provided. They left these on the floor instead of sticking them in the box with the TV. There are numerous examples of this.

They totally took fridge apart and proceeded to leave parts of it in the house. They damaged fridge because of this. When they attached the doors again, the right door starting falling off. Their office was contacted and I was told that there would not be anyone available until the following morning. During the actual move, I called the main office I was told not to assume there would be damage and that I could go through their customer service and file a claim. I paid for extra coverage and this was not honored.

Their customer service exists to stall you, aggravate you, and get you to give up because some guys in Texas use pictures to determine damage instead of having someone in the area come in to assess the situation. There is no real customer interaction or input. They don’t care how much it costs to repair things. There was damage in house which I was leaving from them. The whole company appears to put you on a telephone chain when you call to argue the case. No one cares. No one wants to listen to what it costs to repair damage they are responsible for. This was a 10 mile move. I had most of my possessions packed. This should have been easy. I would strongly recommend finding a different mover so you can avoid the nightmare I am embroiled in.

We called to schedule a cross country move on 12/16/23 - Las Vegas, NV to Charlotte, NC and All My Sons Moving and Storate was more than happy to accommodate us. We settled on a price and proceeded to purchase Full (replacement) insurance with the Declared Value of $100,000 and $0 deductible. My wife received the Bill of Lading and Acceptance of Valuation Terms Selected (below). The document stated : “I acknowledge that for my shipment I have: ACCEPTED the Full (Replacement) Level of protection included in this estimated of charges and declared a higher Total Value of my shipment (if appropriate); and 2) received a copy of the “Your Rights and Responsibilities When You Move: brochure explaining these provisions. My wife signed and the movers began the cross country trip. We were charged $1,500 for the extra insurance.

When they arrived in Charlotte, our large outdoor glass flower that had been in the family for years was missing. The stand that held the flower was delivered but not the flower. There were a number of broken items such as picture frames, large clay Christmas ornaments, outdoor Umbrella stand from Frontgate broken in half, broken wine glasses, broken Xmas bulbs, dresser with cracked top, wine refrigerator delivered with broken leg and door, 3 glass vases with stands, shattered casserole dishes, shattered coffee cups, about 50 shattered Xmas ornaments and a large gouge in the wall when they brought in the wine refrigerator.

My wife filed the necessary paperwork for the claim. We never heard back from AMS until my wife emailed them asking for the status of the claim. On May 6th, my wife received an email stating that our claim has been assigned to a claims specialist. On May 14th, we were informed by the claims specialist that I, Jeff **, had signed off on the waiver on May 6th, the case was closed and they had sent us a check for $710.

There are two major issues: 1) I never signed off on this waiver as I never received it per my email records nor did I send them any forms. I also happened to be in Florida at that time with my son on our annual fishing trip. The signature was a Docusign generated signature and we were told that my wife had signed on my behalf. The form was supposedly sent to my wife and she couldn’t have signed as she has a Docusign account and it only includes her signature 2) AMS is claiming that we did not submit pictures of some of the damaged items. The AMS crew took pictures of the damaged goods that they caused e.g. wall, wine fridge and dresser and agreed to forward to the Claims office. We took the remaining pictures of broken items as we unpacked the boxes.

We were then informed some months later by AMS that they could not accept the documentation/pictures from their employees. Nowhere on any of their documents does it state that their reps could not take and submit pictures. Lastly, AMS claimed that they also didn’t receive a picture of the item that was never delivered???

We did call to voice our concerns and were told by the original claim rep that the case was closed. We were assigned to another rep, Jeff **, in their corporate office. He left his number but we had no luck in reaching him as he was always in meetings or promised to call back. I sent him an email last week stating if we could not find an acceptable resolution, we will report them to Consumer Affairs and the BBB. No response. This entire experience has been extremely disappointing and has caused much angst. My wife is currently going through chemotherapy for breast cancer and this has caused additional stress.

Their sales reps are nice but things changed once we signed the documents. My signature was entered into a Docusign doc without my permission plus the AMS reps who delivered the items witnessed the broken items firsthand and took pictures with the promise that it would be reported. Their entire way of doing business is a sham and the way we were treated was unacceptable. They just assume they can get away with anything as they feel most people will just go away and not take action. There was $10,000 dollars worth of damages and we paid $1,500 to have the best insurance and they shamelessly offered $710 and said the case was closed.

Anyone considering using this company better beware. Don’t believe what they say on their website: “Here at All My Sons Moving & Storage, our ultimate goal is to provide you with total satisfaction throughout your moving process...We aim not to merely meet expectations, but to exceed them - and successfully raise the benchmark for excellence in the moving industry.” With the experience we had, I would say they successfully lowered the benchmark. They didn’t respond to our calls and concerns, nor did they provide any updates on our claim other than “case has been processed and closed.” Did I forget to mention they offered an $710 for our $10,000 claim. Our insurance alone was $1,500. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

BROUGHT THE WRONG SIZE TRUCK, CHARGED ME MORE THAN DOUBLE, HELD MY FURNITURE HOSTAGE. I am filing complaints with the Attorney General of Florida and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. I have lived in 10 states in America from Massachusetts to California, through Alabama and Georgia to Florida. I have moved more than 20 times in my life. This THIRTY MILE MOVE from North Miami Beach to Delray Beach, FL was by far the worst experience I have ever had. This company from the Owners on down, are extortionists.

I had an 1,100 foot apartment. TINY. No room for kitchenette furniture, no room for a big sectional sofa or big furniture, I hate to cook so I have 4 plates, 4 bowls, 4 forks, no blenders, bread makers or kitchen appliances, not even a toaster. It was very easy to describe to the quote “specialist” over the phone; I had 2 king bedroom sets (NO bureaus or chests of drawers), 3 TVs all over 55 inches, a small sectional, a few end tables and a small desk. I got 3 quotes before my move and All My Sons was the least expensive and they are supposed to be “The preferred mover of the Miami Dolphins”. I packed the kitchen and all the closets myself because that’s easy to save time.

The first ambush with upcharges; they called me a couple of days before the move after I put down the deposit to confirm the day and time and that’s when they inform me about the 18% “Fuel service charge” – 18% added onto the entire bid – a BIG number. At that point, as these thieves are well aware, it’s too late for me to get another mover scheduled, so I have to eat the cost. Then, on moving day, these 2 morons show up. I later found out that they were both BRAND NEW – 2 weeks old - not only new with the company – they had NO PRIOR MOVING EXPERIENCE. That was obvious and they had no management or tenured representative oversight on the ground which I later found out is protocol at this company. These fools moved at a snail’s pace.

As a metaphor, one of the bedroom sets has a bench at the end of the bed and there are 3 small drawers within. Moron #1 took out EACH DRAWER and individually wrapped them instead of just wrapping the bench tightly in plastic and blankets with the little drawers in there. That took 25 minutes longer than it should have – and the quote was “just a quote” so when the hours went over, I would be charged. These two had NO IDEA HOW TO SHUTTLE FURNITURE TO THE ELEVATOR AND THEN DOWN TO THE TRUCK. They were putting one item that was NOT EVEN HEAVY on a dolly at one time – not stacking anything – and wheeling it out. I HAVE VIDEO AND PICTURES OF ALL OF THIS. One item at a time, so all my stuff ends up in the hallway outside my apartment not even down near the elevator, just outside my apartment door. Then they have to take it from outside my apartment, down to the elevator.

By this time, the elevator reservation is expired because anyone could have moved a 10,000 foot house by this time in 3 hours so now these two are taking one item at a time down in the elevator with residents – AND WAITING FOR THE ELEVATOR EACH TIME – NOT EVEN TAKING MORE ITEMS ON THE ELEVATOR WITH THEM. Fast forward to the end of the day. There is still furniture and items in the garage DOWNSTAIRS IN THE BLISTERING HEAT ALL DAY and THE TRUCK IS FULL. I talk to the Manager on the phone and he informs me that this “happen sometimes and it’s not their responsibility”. I have an 1,100 foot apartment – how could this truck not be big enough? But then, this Manager DROPS ANOTHER BOMB and goes on to tell me that the workers can only work 10 hours a day by state law including drive time so THEY ARE JUST ABOUT DONE FOR THE DAY.

My stuff is still sitting there and THE TRUCK IS THE WRONG SIZE. So they stand around – on the clock doing nothing - and wait for the right size truck, offload the wrong truck, put everything on the new truck and THEY ARE DONE FOR THE DAY AND I HAVE TO PAY OVERTIME FOR 2 HOURS. My stuff goes somewhere for the night and I have to get a hotel with my 2 little dogs who are 13 and 15 years old. They were completely traumatized all day having nowhere to go in the blinding heat and then we had to spend $300 on a hotel room in Delray - we got so lucky that there was even vacancy at the last minute in a dog-friendly hotel.

The next day, a crew that knew what they were doing showed up, and before they would even start, I had to pay the balance. They charged me for all of it. “Storage overnight”, all the hours and the overtime – all of it. And they would not release my furniture or start unloading until I paid it. Thousands of dollars more. If my company did not cover this extra cost, I simply would not have had the money to get my things. I had no choice. Once they began offloading, little by little over the day, they shared more and more with me about how my move was the “talk of the warehouse” with how badly this move was botched and the protocols that were broken. THEY ACTUALLY FELT SORRY FOR ME AND WHAT I WAS CHARGED AND WHAT I WENT THROUGH. They could not believe I got 2 new guys with no experience, the wrong truck was brought and the OWNER HIMSELF HAD VISIBILITY INTO ALL OF THIS AND SAID, “CHARGE HIM”.

There were missing bolts for the bedroom set and the first set of morons stacked my set of 3 Italian glass nesting tables all the way at the top of the truck. It was wrapped in a blanket but very heavy so when one of the new movers pulled something else away, that table fell to the floor of the truck and smashed. The next day, I went back down to Miami to the apartment to clean and THERE WERE STILL ITEMS IN THE CLOSET - INCLUDING MY SAFE. They didn’t even pack the entire apartment. After the investigations are done with the Attorney General and CFPB, I am filing a cause of action in small claims court, I will make sure that all of these videos, pictures and court documents are posted online on a website that I will create so the public can be warned. It will cost me $15 per month to host a website to make sure that the public does not get burned the way I did. RUN - DON’T WALK - GET AWAY FROM THIS MOVING COMPANY.

I knew, and expected the fees that were disclosed to me. Because it was a less than an ideal situation, I estimated it would be expensive. I did not know any of the moving companies I now know. I did not receive the contract until the day I moved, and I was driving to my house from another city to meet the movers. Needless to say, I could not read the contract and drive. The storage quotes were not even close to what they said. Lucky enough I found a storage 1.5 miles from the house.

My stuff consisted of large furniture that did not fill up a 10X10 unit. I spoke with an individual named "Jared" who failed to give me any further information so I could file a complaint. He was rude and dismissive to all of my concerns. Unacceptable! Especially in already heart breaking and terrible circumstances that led to my move. The movers took 3 hours to move furniture that didn't take up a whole storage unit and was 1.5 miles up the road. 3 HOURS for a living room set, bedroom set, TV, and a squat rack. AGAIN, HOW IS THAT OK?

Not to mention the fuel fee of 189$ and the travel fee of 189$. Is this not the same thing? When I got the final bill it was 1200$ and that was with my military discount! Disgusting! TO move a few items and mile and a half away cost me over 1000! I am more than saddened that companies like this exist to take advantage of hard working Americans in terrible situations! My next step is the BBB, and quite possibly a lawyer! PLEASE USE ANOTHER COMPANY! This is far from OK!

Upon arrival to my new home they made sure each item was rescanned and everything arrived. They were so thorough.. Their prices competitive.. I called and researched - their professionalism and price was what made me choose them. I can’t say enough about the three guys that came to move me.. Exceptional!

We just finished our move and I can honestly say this is the worst business I have ever dealt with. They are unprofessional and unethical. I booked a month in advance with a deposit and couldn’t get a written confirmation other than a text confirming the date and rate. When I tried to get a confirmation I was told I would get a call two days in advance. I should have trusted my gut and ate the deposit and booked with another company. When I did get confirmations, they were always for the wrong amount.

The three-man crew showed up and after over an hour moved the first piece of furniture out of my house, scratching the hardwood floors in the process. When they finally got to the new place with all of our furniture hostage, they demanded $1700 from my wife to start moving off the truck with the move finishing at 3:00. Two hour later they hadn’t brought a single item into the new place but “staged everything off the truck".

At 3:00 they extorted several hundred dollars from us to get everything in the door. With the first piece of furniture, they sent it through the wall and then treated a 100 year-old antique like a sack of floor turning in on its side allowing the shelves to bust out the glass. I found other damage after they left. I had to leave early but they browbeat my wife for a tip and then demanded a 5-star review. Casey led the crew, who were neither movers or strong, and Carter was calling the shots on the back end demanding more and more money mid-move. Book with someone else or greatly wish you did.

We moved on Saturday 4/27/2024 from a condo to a house and had a terrible experience using All My Sons Denver. Below is a recap of everything that went wrong. Damage to property: Perhaps most frustrating of all is that I was left with a HUGE scrape in my wood floor that spanned the length of my entire condo. They moved the grill from the outside patio across the condo and neglected to pick it up. When I finally saw it, the guy pushing the grill ignored me. When I finally got the lead guy’s attention, he attempted to submit a claim on the spot but his iPad wasn’t working. He assured me he would tell the office at the end of the day to get the claim process started, but I had to call the next day to initiate the process.

Claim process/customer care: I filed a claim for the damage and it got denied immediately. When I called to ask why, the customer care associate told me I was a liar and the scrape existed before the move. Joe Casarez was rude, disrespectful, and hung up on me. I called back to the Denver office to get some help, and they insist they cannot help me in any way. Every time I get transferred to customer care now, no one picks up and every single voicemail inbox is full. It has been a month now and I feel helpless.

Hidden fees/lack of transparency: When it came time to pay my bill, it was about DOUBLE what I had expected. They never sent me a list of the cost of packing materials before the move date like they said they would, and the materials were astronomical (over $350) for limited supplies actually used as we had packed the majority of our condo ourselves ahead of time. By the time the move date was nearing, we couldn’t adjust to another company last minute and were stuck with whatever they were going to charge, but I didn’t think we would get royally screwed with these kinds of premiums.

Further, they charge a “19% fuel surcharge.” I assumed this was 19% on the gasoline used by the truck and it was never explained to me. Shame on me for not asking for a formal definition of something that felt pretty self explanatory. It turns out that the “fuel surcharge” is in fact a 19% fee on labor and materials. I feel this particular charge is incredibly misleading and hence, I feel scammed on this one especially.

Speed/efficiency: Of the team of 3 men helping, the lead was working at a reasonable pace but the other two could not possibly be slower. They would disappear for lengths of time and would spend a significant amount of time idle, standing around waiting for the lead to tell them what to do next. When every 15 minutes is costing me $52, I was getting more and more frustrated by this as the day went on.

Idle time: When the crew arrived, they started the clock immediately and yet nothing was actually moved for a good 15 minutes. Further, the lead went through all of the “pre-move” paperwork with me while I was being charged for move time. Once the truck was packed, the team of 3 all sat in the truck for ~10 minutes collectively waiting for the “window to defrost”. Once again, they did not work as a team, nor did they work efficiently. Two of the three men did nothing for about 20 minutes from the last item they picked up to leaving in the truck.

Not adjusting for appropriate labor hours: When you get to the place you are moving to, they estimate the additional time it will take to unload the truck and you pay then. After, they are supposed to “true-up” the time actually spent. In my case, they did not adjust the true time of departure and therefore they were not going to refund me the time I paid for but did not use. I had to call the next day and clarify the time they left and asked for a refund. The person I spoke with was hostile towards me and told me the men were “reconfiguring the truck” before they left – for 25 minutes?! It was the ultimate souring blow to such an awful experience.

Don't waste your money. This the worst Moving company when it comes to Packing and Loading. They use probably the cheapest tape (at least the one used for me), that is sure to peel off the surface of the items taped, and that tape tears off easily leaving the remains stuck onto the item. Many of my items are damaged due to the quality of tape they used. Furthermore, the packing is recklessly done. The loading was very unplanned damaging 2 of my furniture items. They recklessly placed heavy items/boxes that caused the damage. Some boxes that had oil and/ paint were placed upside down, damaging most of the items that are in those boxes due to the spill/leak. My claim for the damaged items was denied, stating that I have used an outside mover, which clearly underlines that they are not responsible/accountable for the packing and loading services, and they can do however they want.

We employed All My Sons for a move of approximately 50 miles. By NC law, this made the move long-distance tariff and weight regulated. The All My Sons estimator conducted a virtual walk-thru of the home to produce an expense estimate. Each room was walked thru, closets opened, garage entered, etc. We were told to expect 4 – 5 hours to load, one and a half hours to drive, then 4 – 5 hours to unload. We questioned that this would all be done in one day and were assured that it would. (Note- another moving company had told us this would be a 2-day process but All My Sons insisted one day would be sufficient). We were told the crew would arrive between 8 and 10 AM. They didn’t show up until 11 AM (This after two phone calls where we were told they had left the warehouse and should be arriving at any time).

The crew leaders came in with an “inventory sheet” of items that the estimator had noted during the virtual walk-thru. They placed an orange sticker on the items listed on their inventory sheet. This inventory included a number of boxes for the contents in each room. We noticed immediately that not all boxes were stickered and even some of the furniture was not. We immediately questioned this and were told as long as there was room on the truck the items would be moved.

Around 4 pm the crew leader announced- with no warning- that their supervisor told them they had been there long enough and they had to take the trucks to our new home. There were lots of boxes and some furniture- including some with orange stickers- that remained in the house. We immediately called their manager, and then HIS manager to express our concern. The senior manager basically told us that we had a “binding agreement” and should have known how many boxes would be needed to move our belongings! The inventory list that was produced after the virtual walk-thru was all they intended to move! We used medium-sized boxes for ease of moving for all parties.

The size of box was not part of the agreement. We were appalled that a professional estimator did NOT do a better job of determining the inventory! The truck left and we were basically stuck! We followed them to our new home. By now it was after 5 pm. On arrival at the new home, the movers began unloading the truck. They were still unloading at 9 PM and with NO WARNING began just piling boxes and furniture in the garage. When we questioned this we were told that their supervisor told them it was time for them to leave and that they should unload the truck- getting the belongings somewhere inside and then they were to leave.

This made it difficult for us to get our vehicle out of the garage and to get the remaining items, including heavy furniture, to the proper room. The next day we had to rent a 17-foot U-Haul and had to enlist the help of friends and family to help us complete the move. We hired All My Sons to move our ENTIRE HOME and they failed in every way to do that! And to top it all off those orange stickers that they used left a residue on our furniture! We have moved several times over the years and this was BY FAR the absolute WORST EXPERIENCE.

They called later and said a lamp was left on the truck and they would meet at the storage to return it but never did. The lamp is still missing. I called and asked for a claim to be opened. Was told that the form would be emailed and it never was. I was quoted $494 but bill ended up at $693. I was told a final itemized receipt would be emailed but it never was.

All of the one-star reviews are accurate to my own experience with this unethical company. I wish I had seen all of these before booking to save myself the stress, money, and frustrations. Their Google reviews make it out to be a completely different situation than what you end up with in reality. I booked these movers for Friday April 19th - moving from a 1-bedroom apartment into another 1-bedroom apartment 5 miles down the road. I was leaving a 2nd floor unit (which had an elevator) onto a 1st floor unit. I had 10 boxes packed (7 medium and 3 small) plus a few miscellaneous knickknacks like a lamp and over the door shoe organizer. Furniture wise: a king sized mattress and box springs, 2 dressers, and 2 TVs. We were having new couches delivered, so they didn't have to bother with any living room furniture.

I had all of the boxes lined up neatly along the doorway for them to quickly load up. 2 movers arrived, and I had been quoted $157/hour with a $100 deposit and supplies (which I anticipated not needing any since I had done all of the packing?). I was informed it should take 3 hours maximum from start to finish - which has been my experience with movers of this size move in the past!

The movers begin working at a snail's pace. One of the movers is nowhere to be found inside the entire time. I think he is packing up the truck with boxes, but come to find out they were just taking stuff down the elevator and leaving it in the breezeway to kill time. It took 2 hours to finish in the starting location, and I had to leave some stuff behind so that we could leave. I told them I'll just be back on my own to load it in my car because we were wasting too much time. I head downstairs thinking the truck is loaded, and they STILL have to load the truck!

We arrive to the new location about 5-10 minutes later, and they spend 10 minutes navigating the truck. Once they get situated, I'm brought the tablet with a bill of $1237 to pay. I almost have a heart attack. I think surely there is a mistake, and my partner calls to ask for an itemized bill and reaches Matthew who treats him with awful customer service. He tells him to just look at the tablet - meanwhile we want to review what we are paying for before we pay it. I call Matthew back, where he tells me they are charging me for 6 hours of labor, $180 in supplies, and additional fuel charges. I was appalled by the way we were being treated. It was only 12:00 (start time was 9:30). I didn't understand why I was needing to pay for 6 hours of labor. He hangs up with me, and calls his movers to tell them to start packing up our things and to leave.

The movers start taking our stuff back to the truck. I start panicking as I'm trying to find the money and know that if I don't find it fast enough they are taking our stuff. Thankfully my mom was able to help, otherwise I don't know what I would've done. They tell me they'll refund whatever time they went over and start unloading the truck again. We get to the end of the move, and we find out our 65" TV was broken and are told to submit a claim.

All of the customer service along the way has been the worst I've ever experienced. Ace and Matthew will be two names that I have etched in my brain for a long while. It is clear that this is a scam, they bait and switch and charge everyone the same "flat" rates for fuel and supplies even when they are not used. I also don't see how they are legally allowed to charge for time that is not used, and then can drive off with belongings in the middle of a service. That should also be shared upfront. Every other company I've used (College Hunks and Two Men and a Truck) charge after services are completed. I highly recommend Two Men and a Truck for your moving needs (I couldn't use them due to lack of availability for my date). SAVE YOUR BELONGINGS AND YOUR MONEY.

I would NOT recommend All My Sons Moving company to anyone considering a moving Company. What was the most interesting thing about our experience with All My Sons was how awful it was, before, during, and after the move. Our move was extremely simple, moving 6 items from one apartment to another only 25 minutes away.

Before we decided on All My Sons, I called the number on the website and got a very helpful person who told me that the date we were looking for was available and that she would add a note stating we needed the move to occur in the morning. At that time, I provided a $100.00 deposit. The next day I got a call stating that the only time available was in the afternoon, not the morning. This was my first encounter with Lawrence who runs the Raleigh office. Lawrence told me that my first call was to "A call center in Dallas" and they wouldn't be aware of the Raleigh office's specific schedule - something in today's day I find hard to believe. He was inflexible, and his tone was such that it was my fault I called the call center and not his problem. We adjusted our schedule that day and moved on.

More fun with All My Sons on moving day. For clarity, I should share there was an hourly charge ($178) for the crew and the time it took would be how the bill would be based plus one hour charge for transportation before and after the actual move. The crew arrived at 2:15 and took almost three hours to move 6 items 25 minutes. But here is what we learned after the fact.

They over-reported their arrival and departure times by 15 minutes adding 30 minutes to our bill. They took an additional 15 - 20 minutes to get from the old apartment to the new apartment. We left at the same time and we arrived there and waited 15 - 20 minutes for them to show. Based on Lawrence's response later on this appears to be a standard practice to get what they can from people who don't pay attention. They sat and did nothing for 45 minutes while another truck was unloading. They over-packaged and wrapped the 6 items and charged us $150.00 for plastic wrap, one box, and tape for 6 items - only 4 of which needed to be wrapped. They delivered a white sofa with a ton of dirt and stains on it to the point where we needed to get it cleaned. They demanded payment ahead of delivering the furniture - made us feel like our stuff was kidnapped. In short, the movers were not urgent, overly intentional, and purposefully slow.

After the move is where things got interesting. I called Lawrence to share my displeasure with a $900 + bill to move 6 items 25 minutes away (It cost us $500 to move into that apartment 6 months ago). Lawrence was transparent about the crew over-reporting their times and credited us with 45 minutes, but nothing more. He was super inflexible and refused to provide a supervisor's name to escalate to.

I went on to find the email addresses of the CEO, Robert Peterson, and the President, Chris Generale. When I sent them emails, they both bounced because my gmail address wasn't a "trusted address". After several other calls and attempts to resolve this issue, I quickly learned no one at their corporate office wanted to talk with All My Sons customers and the call center folks just tell you there is "nothing anyone is going to do" to help resolve an issue. As a matter of fact their "Contact Us" page on their website is non functional, cannot even send them a note or email about any issues.

We gave them several opportunities to make this right, shared exactly to the minute wehre we were overcharged and asked for the $900+ bill be brought down to $600 again to move 6 items 25 minutes away. I made the mistake of not checking reviews on these guys because it was a small, simple move. After the fact, we learned that the All My Sons moving company is one of if not the LOWEST-RATED movers we could have hired. Shame on us for not checking first.

To recap this organization is architected in a way to close all the business possible on the phone even if it means misleading people, then they will do everything they can to extract as much money as possible out of their customers, then when you want to talk through your experience with someone, they are unwilling to listen, and set up so that you cannot escalate to anyone in a leadership position. Don't make the same mistake I made, there are plenty of other options out there. Steer clear of this group for any size move or you will find yourself writing a review like this one.

I was willing to overlook the lack of professionalism until the driver decided to text me with his dissatisfaction of the tip I gave him. Also, the local operation manager, Korey, dismissed all my concerns when I called and now I have to open a claim just to be heard. There are so many more minor issues to address but I just want to be done with this company. I was excited to move into my first home but my experience has been ruined because of them.

The call in and setup was quick and painless and they charged the $100 deposit right away. When they showed up I explained the situation again that the place was a mess and we were only taking a few heavy pieces and I asked them to just give us a few minutes to wrangle the cats. I showed them what we were taking and they said fine... Next thing I know is they're putting their stuff back in the truck. I asked if they were leaving and the guy said they were being sent someplace else and we were getting a different truck. I called and they said that no they were not sending another truck, that because there were animals involved, and the place was messy they decided not to do the move.

There was no issue with the cats. They were all crated up. It only took us 15 minutes and we were moving the animals. They didn't have to do anything with them... not professional, not honest, and definitely not worth the money. I called another company, explained the situation. They said that they were movers and had seen it all, no big deal. They sent someone out immediately and moved our stuff for us for much less that All My Sons were going to charge.

Don't get caught by this company. Their agreement is a scam, I thought they were a reputable company because they're all over the country and they literally agreed to a payment per hour that I thought it was a great deal.

    1. They make it slow to charge for more hours (7 hours for a bedroom apartment already packed in boxes with just 1 king bed and 2 twin beds almost no furniture)
    2. They charge you additional fee for the materials they use and they charged me $400 for boxes, plastic wrap and tape. (Each TV box according to their breakdown is $60.)
    3. They charged me 18% on top of the worked hours for "fuel" ($255) for a 30-minute drive.
    4. They wrapped mattresses with a box and plastic around, you can imagine the time and cost that meant to me.
    5. They didn't want to take the furniture off the truck until we paid them the "estimated" hours to finish, so they would reimburse after (then they didn't adjust the fuel fee to the actual rate). Worst attitude and price ever. Now they don't reply to my emails. Don't hire them. Save your time and money.

It was one of the worst experiences I've had. I moved from 950 sq ft to 1000 sq feet. I moved computers and monitors, all decorative plants, all hanging clothes, dog beds and dog related, lamps, bathroom item, clocks, pictures & all cleaning products (and my guns of course) plus a few other misc items myself. I asked when they arrived how long it would take (in and out of the first apt) and was told about 2 hours. TEN hours later we are leaving that loacation. They don't unload anything, at the new apartment, WITHOUT PAYMENT FIRST. They brought up maybe 3 items they were too tired to do anything else and called their supervisor to stop and come back the next day. I had to make them stay to at least get my bed unloaded.

I then had to run over to Walmart to get PJ's and undergarments for the next day, Walmart closes at 11pm and I was told I had 10 min. at the door of WalMart. Their bill had that they quit @ 11:45pm that night. They left before I got my keys and car and left to go over the the store that closes at 11:00pm. So, IN ADDITION to the horrible work performance & lying & the damages they did....they were charging for OT (they also charged for supplies that I had sitting on the counter that I had purchased), at my old apartment and pointed out when they arrived. I stopped (partial) payment on the credit card & I got an attorney. I would never use them again and I just had someone (who knew my story first hand) recommend them (forgetting who I had used) and now will definitely not use them and is telling everyone he knows. I used All My Sons Moving Company last year and thought I was in good hands. The first move went smooth and the guys were careful with my items and very proficient. Due to unforeseen circumstances I had to use them again a few months later. What a disaster it turned out to be. Two of the movers got into a fist fight while moving my items and shortly after one of those two almost had the cops called on him due to a heated argument he had with a city worker outside of the house.

When I finally got situated in my new place I unfortunately had to invest in almost all new furniture because of the damage they caused when moving my items. Some of which I knew nothing about until I started moving things around at a later date. One being a very expensive mattress set, almost the whole mattress was torn in areas that weren't visible when I would change my bedding. I made contact with them about the issues and even provided pictures of the damage. Not to my surprise I never received an email, text, or call to apologize and work with me (just a little bit) on this matter. I am very disappointed in this experience and can say I will probably never use a mover again after this.

The quoted price went up by $500! I was told nothing could be removed from the truck until they had a credit card approval code. I was extorted to pay. Then, most, if not all, of my items were damaged beyond repair. The reviews, on their page, were all good. After being scammed, I did more research. Their reviews on YELP were all bad! DO NOT hire All My Sons!!! The movers damaged almost every piece of my furniture they moved, several of which were broken beyond any scope of repair. They also damaged the walls in my new house at several places as they slammed the furniture into the walls while moving. When I complained to the manager about all the damages made by the movers while packing and loading the furniture, the movers got mad and threatened to walk out on the move midway through and started dumping my furniture outside my building at the old address and one of the movers started behaving very rudely with me. I begged them to finish the move despite the damages as I needed to move out that day and they only got more careless with the furniture during the rest of the move.

In total, they caused more than $1500 worth of damage and the company tried to settle for $200 stating that $200 was already more than what they should be paying. On top of all the damages that they will cause to your property, they will also scam you by purposefully taking longer to move than the time they need so they can get paid more. My movers took more than an hour extra to finish the move by taking several 5-10 minute breaks to smoke **, did not have the right tools to take apart some of the furniture so they took forever on it and they even unscrewed some things to break it down and would later realize that they didn’t need to break down that furniture so would put it back together, basically just wasting time and also wasting time chitchatting with my neighbors for over 15 minutes trying to sell their business and of course they will charge you for all the time that the movers waste while on the job.

Extra charge for boxes horrible packing, horrible loading and horrible customer service. I was moved by military movers who did not do half the damage that AMS did. They packed glass with metal unwrapped. Broke tv screens with their fingers. Half loaded boxes thus allowing them to be crushed. Thus allowing items to be destroyed. 3/4 loaded trucks because of horrible loading and a need to get home before it was too late. I have kept everything they destroyed have pictures of the trucks the boxes everything. I was true on my claim and honest I claimed a little over 3400. Dollars they sent me 750. This won’t pay for one of the two tvs they broke.

Don’t use this company and if you do just break everything first so you won’t have to be so upset. This is a horrible company and I believe I am going to connect with others and try to get a class action suit against them. I have a couple of lawyers in my fraternity who said they may take a look of course not pro bono. Half of the movers were untrained and that was part of the problem. I moved 2 miles from my original home and was back and forth between properties when I discovered money had been stolen from outside of a bday gift I had just received.

Shortly after the phone call one of the men handed my spouse the money. I continued with the move as I had to be out of the house that day as the new owners was moving in the next day. It took this company 12 hours, to move my household 2 miles, and they did not put any of the furniture back together, did not have any packing supplies, even though I paid for them to pack my entire house.

The manager called and stated that, the guys were in danger of violating their 14 hour work window and would have to drop everything, proceed to the new house and unload all my items without putting anything back together. These people dumped all my household good in my 3 car garage and left. However, they were paid 5k to move us, pack, unpack and none of that was done. Unbelievably bad! Deceptive, unfair, and manipulative sales practices (bait-and-switch, etc.). The absolute WORST moving company I have ever used (out of 26 moves in my life). It was one of the worst days of my life! I called 2 months in advance to schedule my move (specifically & purposely) on a weekday so that I would get a lower rate than a weekend. She quoted me $159/hr. for a Monday move (w/2 movers), which I thought was a bit high, but agreed to considering it's just a small 650 sq. ft. apartment. Fast forward to move day. They send 3 guys instead of 2 (moving at glacial pace). Then they wait until they loaded 80% of my belongings on the truck before coming to me with a tablet to sign. As I scrolled, it said $199/hr. instead of the $159 that I was quoted.

They also made no mention of the moving supplies they were charging me for and using without my consent. I brought this to their attention, and they said to call corporate. The supervisor on the phone gave nothing but pushback and repudiations. He said, "I can have my guys take all your stuff out of the truck and leave if you want." Obviously, I couldn't do that, and he knew it. Then it took 6 hours for 3 movers to move a single person (1-bed apt.) only 3.6 miles (10 minutes!) down the very same road! Not to mention, all the "moving supplies" that they charged me for without even asking if I needed or wanted them (which I did not). This company stole from me, and I will be contacting the BBB and every medium outlet I come across.

In February of 2023 we hired ALL MY SONS MOVING & STORAGE to move us from Kansas City to St Joseph, MO. The initial quote included moving ALL of our items by truck and if it took more than one truck load, we would be charged accordingly. We had no problem with that. The problem was the four CHARACTERS they sent to move us filled up the first truck load with about 3/4's of our belongings and left about 1/4 to be moved in another truck. The second truck never showed up. These guys went off on their merry way. They left us HIGH AND DRY.

Speaking of HIGH, one of the MORONS was smoking ** on the side as they were moving. We know because we watched him. Bottom line is this; I'm 75 years old and my wife and I had to move the remainder of the items in our van and car by ourselves, which took 4 separate trips. We were in a rental house moving into our home in St Joseph that we bought and we needed to be out of the rental by the next day. We PLEADED with the office personnel to send another truck over and they said there were none available till next week.

I contacted the Better Business Bureau after all the dust settled, (so to speak) and they sent my message of settlement to All My Sons which was totally ignored. We want $1/4 of the money we gave them since they only did 3/4's of the job. I've waited till now (December 2023) to file this complaint with Consumer Affairs because we had to go through the items thoroughly to confirm that there are things missing. I will not get into that now, but there are definitely items missing. Point being is this; If you want problems with your moving company, by all means hire ALL MY SONS and you will not be disappointed.

Dresser mirror that we had packed in PODS on our first move from Kentucky to Dallas and was never damaged. Assuming AMS would be a great option over PODS was a mistake. It was broken when AMS moved it from Dallas to Kentucky.

The problems came with the claims customer service issues. I paid for the FULL VALUE PROTECTION assuming if something was broken it would be fully repaired or fully compensated for (DO NOT ASSUME THIS). The dresser mirror is a mirror aprox 45" x 35" with beveled mirror and antique mirror sections. I spent over a week trying to find an estimate for repair/replacement. Mirror alone estimate was $2900. Safe damaged was $300 for parts, and a mattress cover they cut cost was $75. AMS offered $660. They also ended up forgetting our birdbath in the cab of the truck. $225 value.

I've tried to get someone to talk with me over the phone to explain how they came to this number, procedures and see if we can negotiate this. I can not get the AMS Claim person to call me back or to answer the phone. I want to recommend AMS but I now strongly recommend you DO NOT have AMS move you. DO NOT USE!!!! This was the worst experience of my life other than the death of my father! The Oklahoma and Carrollton team showed up to move me from OKC to FL. I paid 20K for the move. I purchased full replacement insurance for $1400 that covered up to $93000 in damage. Day one 3 team members showed up to pack out a 3,000 sq ft house, lacking supplies, experience, and only finished maybe 1/3 of the job. Then they began placing all my very expensive furniture outside and in my garage completely UNWRAPPED AND DIRECTLY ON THE GROUND AND CONCRETE. I tried stopping them and talking with the "main guy" which did nothing.

I tried calling Bryan who was my salesman for lack of better words and Ryan the manager in OKC several times. Neither would answer or call me back. More than half of my furniture was damaged just from them brining it out of my house and setting it outside! Also, significant damage was done in my home to walls, floors, stairs, and woodwork. I spent several hours after the crew left that evening, wrapping up the furniture myself and also finished packing out the house, because they just left and didn't finish the job. It took me almost all night and I had to have 2 people come help me. The boxing situation consisted of them just going through and dumping any and everything in boxes, not wrapped, labeled, organized, or barely taped.

I again tried calling Bryan and Ryan who wouldn't answer. They ran out of supplies and asked ME to go buy them more and pay for them myself, which I refused to do. The next day the truck showed up 3 hours late, it was supposed to be a semi to fit all of my things. It was 2 small bobtails from Dallas, hence why it was 3 hours late. I had to get on the phone and deal with now Dallas people over the inconsistency and the crew was upset with the way things were placed outside and not wrapped up and didn't wanna load it unwrapped and get in trouble!!! They didn't have what they needed though, so they threw some blankets on some things and crammed it all in the 2 small trucks so it would fit. I was livid and dealing now with Dallas, as the guys from OKC wouldn't help me, come out and see what was happening and I was taking pictures already of the unbelief and all the damage that was already done to much of the furniture.

I had a plane to catch with 3 children, 3 dogs, and fly across the country and just leave them there to finish up. They get my load to FL, show up with only 3 crew members to unload it. They were 3 hours late again. It took them 12 hours to unload the stuff, they were only able to put ONE of FIVE beds together because the parts were lost or broken to the rest!!! It was the worst thing I've ever seen. Now, I have had to spend WEEKS going back through this whole house. Over 43 items were severely damaged from furniture to art to lots of breakables. I've taken pictures of it all, looked up where I paid for it and how much it will cost to replace, Sent pictures to the claim department 3 times!!!!

Trying to get $30K worth of damaged or missing items replaced. I cannot speak with any humans anywhere and some claims specialist named A. ** has sent me to settlement offers via docusign. The 1st for $1300 and when I refused now one for $2300! Remember the $1400 I spent on the full replacement insurance.... where is it now???? I've been dealing with this since June 15, so now I guess I will turn it over to a money hungry lawyer so I can sue them and at least get my items replaced that I paid the insurance for!!!! This has been the worst business dealings imaginable. Please USE ANY OTHER COMPANY!!!!

Took almost 3 hours to load a 10x15 storage unit. Come to find out, the 2nd guy was only 4 days on the job. They had to re-position items in the truck several times. We finally left the storage unit going only 6 minutes up the road.

When they got ready to unload, they wanted payment. Payment was more than double what had been quoted on the front end and agreed to at the storage unit. But had to pay to get our stuff unloaded. We helped them unload since they were charging us for a 5-hour move. With our help, we saved 1.25 hours labor (which I haven't been refunded for yet). Guys damaged a headboard and broke a glass lamp. Guys were nice but didn't seem to be concerned with how long it was taking. Even commented that the earlier move they did was upset that it took them so long. No wonder they were late to our move. Will not use them again and don't recommend.

The movers were great. They carefully wrapped all furniture, not a scratch or dent made, although it took more time than other movers we had. Here is the rip-off because of hidden fees. There is an 18% fuel surcharge on the Total Bill, NOT the mileage. The move took 6 hours at $179 an hour. The total distance was 21 miles. Now, we had to pay $179 for their time just to drive to our place and for their drive back to their warehouse. BUT! We paid $251 for their "fuel surcharge" which included the time they took, plus fees for "packing tape", "wrapping plastic", "moving blankets", etc. You get the picture. The charge was not removeable no matter what I said. The estimate was between $700 an $1000. But the final bill was almost $1600 because of the hidden and non-disclosed fees. This company is nothing short of a lying, money hungry, cheat you for all they can company. Stay away, far away, from this company.

The worst mover’s ever. They didn’t care the damage they did or how inefficient they were at moving. They did not have any power tools to take apart bed frames and furniture. The used a pocket multi purpose tool and it took them over 3 hours to pack and move from a 3 bedroom apartment. They had to move 3 beds 2 credenzas a couple of tv stands. I was told it would take 5 hours and an estimate of $700. It turned out to be almost 7 hours and $1,400. They assembled everything half-**. The worst part is the moved a queen-size bed frame with drawers and delivered it broken with one drawer forced in that it can’t be removed. This is a $2,500 bed set that will have to be replaced. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I will report them to the BBB. They are the worst ever and don’t care about the customer.

When I called to complain, they offered me a $109 refund - and explained ADD ON CHARGES that were not explained over the phone. STILL NO RECEIPT. My family and I experienced such a horrible move with All My Sons. It was a complete nightmare and we are still recovering from the distress we encountered with this company. As a professional that works in the residential industry, I understand so intimately how stressful and draining moving can be on a household. This is why customers seek help for moving, the cost is very high and not ideal but for the service you make the sacrifice to pay. I can assure you, please do not sacrifice your household's money paying for moving expenses with this company. On moving day, we were scheduled to start our move at 9 am, no one ever arrived. My husband and I had to call several time for an update. The movers didn’t arrive to our home until 4 hours later.

They explained they were handling another move and double booked apparently, totally unacceptable but we gave them grace and tried to be understanding although it totally messed up our moving schedule. My husband and family had to start packing up our own vehicles in lieu of all my sons being so late and totally disregarding the scheduled time. Once the movers arrived, they were not prepared. We were promised that the cost include, materials, packing, wrapping items, breaking down furniture, packing and unloading accordingly. To top off the fact that they were late with little to no apology, they came with NO SUPPLIES OR TOOLS! They were not able to wrap our furniture, and couldn’t break down our beds. My family had to go to the store to pick up wrapping supplies and they used boxes to break down and wrap our furniture with.

At this point, I couldn’t believe the unprofessionalism and the fact that they didn’t come prepared to provide the services to be paid for. This not only prolonged the moving process but made it super stressful and unbearably horrible. In the process of incorrectly moving our items without properly wrapping them, they damage my expensive tv stand. How could you, provide such horrible service and then mishandle people's items with such disrespect? If you weren’t prepared, shouldn’t have management got involved and rescheduled or came and brought the supplies to make sure items weren’t damaged during their professional services. Well, that didn’t happen, we were treated with no respect and as if our move didn’t matter to them. We had to call management several times and not only were they disrespectful and rushed us off the phone they just sent us to claims department that only offered $100!!!!

After an almost $1,000 move, we ended up with stress, damaged furniture, we had to hire new movers because they never packed up all of our items or broke down our beds. I truly expected to be reimbursed after their movers didn’t have the proper supplies to wrap my items that were sentimental to my family. Until this day we received $0, no communication from management or apologies. As a manager myself, I practice good business habits and this is truly bad business, all around. The management team should be ashamed. My family and I should have received a refund or for the movers to come back and finish our move due to their lack of preparation but no, they rushed and lacked professionalism and treated my family with total disrespect. Their movers communicated with us that they ran out of supplies which was to be included in their labor and hourly that we paid.

Due to this, they didn't wrap our items properly. They assured us it would be fine with them moving the items but that was not the case at all. Between the movers being 4 hours late, to not having proper supplies, making us late for our loading dock appointment and then to end the day cracked my tv stand which is the highlight of our living room. Truly a nightmare from beginning to end! Plus, no inventory list was gone over, so this should be handled with fairness and respect to your customer. I am super disappointed, this crack was due to your movers not having proper supplies and ramming our items into the truck, which was not done properly.

In the email they sent for you to confirm, it does not say that they calculate the hours per person. 3 people are not included in the hourly fee, please do not be mistaken. They moved 1 room to a distance of 7 minutes in 5 hours. 3 people are definitely not working, they are taking things slowly. Steven and Rodney (managers) are the most rude and disrespectful people I have ever seen. They don't know anything about customer service. They are literally stealing money from you that they never mentioned.

They tried to move a 1-room apartment in 5 hours and charge $1800. If you don't pay, they keep your furniture. Even the employees do not know that they are charged $153 per person per hour. Even you find out at that time. They send a huge track for a 1 bedroom, and when it doesn't fit in the parking lot, they blame you for not telling them the height. If you don't have money to throw away, you don’t want everything to break and you don't want to be stressed on moving day, don't choose them.

Alright. I'm tired of being gaslit that no one took my big 40-gallon, black and red container full box of video games. Mostly Sims 2 games, but that's besides the point. Sure, I can buy more, but I had those things since high school and they're just gone. GONE. I KNOW ya'll made off with them (and Lord knows what else, most likely some documents or artwork you threw away) and I KNOW ya'll took advantage of the fact I couldn't make it to the unpacking session due to a hospital emergency. I trusted you slimes with my key from the front desk and everything seemed to be in order, but after unpacking over the months, I found the games were GONE.

Just a 3 hour move across state. I move a lot and I ALWAYS am present for a load-up and unpacking. The ONE time I couldn't make it for the unloading of COURSE someone gets sticky fingers for my video games. Go stuff yourselves you thieving **. The ONLY thing you moving companies are doing is making people just rent U-Hauls, hire people to watch your slime-behinds, or put tracking devices on their property or cameras in their destination like they should have done all along and it shouldn't have to come to this, but you all are to blame. I learned a lesson in this. You people are NOT to be trusted and unless someone is watching you and following you like a fly on manure, you WILL swipe a shiny that catches your eye. Only reason this didn't get a one-star is because, surprise, surprise, for the most part, it wasn't a total horror story, because, I mean, at LEAST I didn't come home to an empty new house.

Only thing was I gained a black fold-out table in the mix, because this thing isn't mine. I'm sure either someone else's stuff was with my stuff in the truck and got switched out with the table by mistake, or someone just stole my games. Either way, Alan, the coordinator in my move. I know you weren't there, but watch your moving boys better. They're making off like bandits with people's belongings. And I chose this company over Mayflower, because that lady who came over seemed sketchy and was over-charging me with three backdoor parties in the mix, but Alan seemed pretty clean cut and knew what he was talking about. Learned another lesson...looks can be deceiving in this line of business.

They didn't pack the truck well and said they couldn't fit all my stuff in. I had to rent a 16 foot truck to move all they left. The representative said it would come off in the end since the time would would be so significant of a difference. The guys get there to start moving and tell them I sold the furniture, and their exact words were. “Great, sounds like we have time to chill” I knew from that moment this move was not going to go anything how it should with just the ethics that these movers had.

Walked outside, found one of them doing push-ups, and they were trying to upsell me on adding a third mover the whole time in Quote and told them everything is already done, they really don’t have to do anything but just move the furniture in place. It was a bed, a box spring, entertainment stand, treadmill and two tvs. 2 people seemed adequate enough the last time I moved for $380 with the movers I had before, a different company I will be scouring the ends of the earth to find their contact information and they broke down the bed, mounted the tv, placed the furniture in the home how I wanted them to. With All My Sons Moving and Storage, they did nothing.

I walked the guys through two rooms they only had to stage and told them where everything goes. They shoved everything into one bedroom and said it wouldn’t all fit at the end while I am trying work at home at the same time. I packed all my own boxes, they only had to place the furniture and couldn’t even do that. 7 large pieces of furniture they just shoved into the bedroom so when you get down to the last piece of course it’s not going to fit. I was just appalled the guys just kept making excuses. They said they couldn’t touch the tv cause it was mounted, another thing all 5 of my movers have done is the past. Called and talked to the dispatcher and he defended the guys and said the original rep I spoke with said I should add a third mover, this was before I sold everything and felt like they didn’t care what I sold. They were gonna charge me what they wanted from the start of the second person I talked to.

I told him I caught one of the guys doing push-ups outside after the move already started and sitting in the truck and hanging outside for long periods of time., still charged me $700 for a move I had I already did 8 Months ago with twice the furniture, all assembly completed and mounting for half the price. This company cares more about their bottom line and expense cost rather than getting the job done right and I will forever share this experience within my community as well as others here in Colorado Springs as well as my entire network to ensure people understand this company does not care about its customers. They were overcharging me from the start and will find my original movers who took care of me and had work ethics.

I recently hired All My Sons Moving & Storage in OKC. It was an utter fiasco. This is truly unfortunate, because I had a very successful move, with exactly the same furnishings three years ago with All My Sons, however I did not have the same experience at all this time.

    1. The moving team consisted of 3 individuals. I was quoted 2 movers, for 2 hours for $450. This was not the case; I have been charged over $1300 for what should have been a 2 hour move. The 3rd individual included on the team was so useless he should not have even been there. He not only did very little other than walk around the home being emptied, he dropped, banged and mishandled my belongings. On more than one occasion he had to be instructed on the spatial reasoning of how a 40" cabinet would not go straight through a 36" door opening. He had no sense whatsoever. He was very nonchalant and reckless with everything. I am very upset to have been made to pay for his time.

    2. The movers only filled the truck with boxes for 2 hours (it should not have taken that long), and then loaded my furniture as an afterthought the third hour after they arrived. I actually had to move a lot of furnishings myself after they had left, because they simply didn't load the furniture first, and then boxes. As a matter of fact, they loaded my garage first, without consulting me. As most people know, garage items can be the last moved. I could have moved those myself. Again, no sense of priority or planning.

    3. All 3 of the moving team had little to no respect for my belongings. These are just the things witnessed: Dollies were dropped from the step out the door with furnishings and boxes. You could hear and see items banging against the ground. The headboard of one of my beds was dropped from the lift 4' to the ground; requiring an insurance claim, as the corner of the headboard is smashed. An antique headboard was scratched all along the front, by the feet of an ottoman as one of the movers loaded it; also requiring a claim. Although wrapped by them, in plastic my mattress was marked with black marks on the side of the nearly new mattress (I assume from a dolly and being dragged on the ground; requiring a claim.

    4. In order to finish up the move, me, my sister and brother-in-law had to assist in unloading the truck just to get the move completed.

    5. The final settling of the bill was ridiculous. It was done on a tablet, without being able to see an itemized list of my charges. Additionally, I was made to sign for the invoice, before the tablet would even open. It took 2 weeks to get an itemized invoice of my move.

I don't know if it is the MWC, OK location that is the problem, but after posting a review on Yelp, there are many stories with exactly the same outcome; disrespect for belongings, shifty business practices for quoting low, and then sending large teams out to jack up the price of the move, a lot of broken and damaged furnishings. The corporate office should look into the practices at this location, and replace the management, because it is very bad.

Didn’t even let me see that the truck was empty. Called manager Sean who failed to return call or send movers back to complete job! I never received a receipt so no idea what I was charged for. I was told would be charged til 815 but movers gone by 750p. I have no idea if they credited that time. I had to move some heavy items by myself that they left in driveway. Poor service.

All My Sons was not bad overall but there is definitely some room for improvement. First of all the Herbert and his crew did an amazing job with my delivery hands down and I hope that they get recognized for the work they did. Now as far the estimate I think they robbed me but considering it took 3 trucks to move me. I may have gotten what I was asking for. I will say all in all the company did what I asked but they charged me very well.

Do not use this company under any circumstances unless you want to be lied to, scammed, and overcharged for mediocre work. I am only leaving this review because I have been blown off by the Stratford CT branch of All My Sons for the better part of the week so far after being told the manager, Amanda, is "in a meeting" at all times of the day almost every day this week. This was my experience with them this past weekend:

-We were moving within Connecticut out of a 1 bedroom apartment and were told a base price of $1400 included 2 hours of labor and a flat 3 hours of travel. We were told over the phone that the flat 3 hours of travel would cover all of our travel that would be required for our move (traffic would not affect this as they use google maps to estimate travel) and the only additional add ons would be any materials used and/or $199 per hour for any additional labor beyond the 2 hours included. We chose this company due to competitor prices being around $2000-$2200 and figured All my Sons would end up being below that.

-It ended up taking 4 hours just to load the truck at my old apartment which we quickly realized was because of the fact 1 of the 3 workers we hired was standing around, not doing anything, and was very frequently off task. Beyond my fiancé and I noticing this, the other workers were even pointing this out to each other many times and we could hear them yelling at him. After the 4 hours of loading the truck, they left our apartment at 12:20 and we left shortly after, with the destination being Avon CT which is about an hour and 15 minutes away.

We were told they would have to take a different highway than us due to the limitations of the truck and that it may take a little bit longer which we said was fine as we were told the travel was a flat rate. They did not arrive to our new apartment until 4:15 PM (4 hours after they left) and we were immediately told that they stopped for food and also had to meet another crew for a gas card then go to a truck gas station and get gas before driving to Avon through heavy traffic.

-This is where we realized we were lied to and had fallen victim to a classic Bait and Switch. When they arrived, one of the workers came over and said I needed to pay the balance before they would start unloading. At which time, he gave me an Ipad that showed a bill of $3,600. I was shocked and did not know what to do so the worker called his office and I was told over the phone that they were charging the $199 per hour since they arrived at 8:45 AM including the time they took in traffic, getting food and gas, and also forecasted that it would take an additional 3 hours to unload the truck. When I argued with the person over the phone about the time to get food and gas, he said they would "do me a favor" and take 1 hour of cost off of the bill despite it taking 4 hours for them to drive a distance that only took us 1 hour and 15 minutes.

-Realizing that they had scammed me and I had no choice, I paid the balance so that they would give us our stuff back and start unloading. The third worker continued to do little to no work and slowed the entire operation down. Seeing this, I quickly started to help them carry my own stuff into my new apartment and was easily outworking 1 if not 2 of the workers there. I also ended up hurting my back in the process and we still only finished about 15 minutes shy of the 7 PM estimated deadline.

    - Prior to us even completing the unloading of the truck, the same worker brought over the Ipad again and had me sign a number of contractual agreements that gave away all of my rights to complain about any inventory being broken or damaged by the workers during the move. At the point of signing, there were still boxes on the truck and we also had not even had a chance to look inside of a single one. I still have not had a chance to get through to a supervisor to file a formal complaint regarding the service we were given and I would never in a million years recommend this company to anyone after the numerous predatory business practices they employed on us.

All My Sons was booked for 6/15/2023. Unprofessional is only the beginning. The crew was slow, on their phones, talking, standing around, watching my Mother and I use their hand trucks to move boxes, and completely unorganized. The crew sat on my cloth chairs with sweat pouring off their bodies. Again I just cried because I couldn't believe I was in this type of situation. Only one floor mat was put down at the front door of both houses. Both homes had hardwood floors. My Mother had to direct them constantly to stop dragging furniture and scratching the floors. My new sofa and loveseat were drag on the driveway and cushions drag through the grass.

The crew complained about All My Sons the whole day and discussed getting new jobs. The crew also spoke about how unorganized All My Sons is and explained that is why they didn't have enough moving blankets and supplies I paid for. Customer service is horrible or should I say non-existent. Phone calls are not answered or returned. Two dressers, a mirror, a large wooden cross, a large 4-drawer pine cabinet, a new sofa, a new loveseat, new Ikea shelves, wood floors, shelves, etc. were scratched and damaged.

I sent numerous pictures to All My Sons of how the furniture was wrapped and damaged. NOT ONE SINGLE PHONE CALL TO APOLOGIZE was received. I paid All My Sons almost $6,000 for my move and it cost me $3,000 or more in damaged furniture. I was literally in tears during the move watching them damage my furniture and there was nothing I could do at the time. I had to be out of my home by 5:00 that day for closing. PLEASE DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY. High school boys would do a better job all day long.

We contracted All My Sons to move us from one city to 4 1/2 hours away in the same state. This occurred over a 2-day period as the drivers are not allowed by law to work over a certain number of hours per day. So far all was good. Moving day came and the team were friendly and smiling, loaded up everything and took off for the day to unload the next day at our new home. Our old home was 1 story and the new one is 2 stories.

The next day seemed like a completely different crew. All business, not so friendly but did have a lot to do and it was VERY hot. Certainly understandable. A few expensive lamps got completely smashed, big desk leg/support snapped off and some furniture had some dings as well as a few of the walls as well. Not a big deal. They said to file a claim, which we did. More about that later.

Got it all done after a longer than anticipated day, or so we thought. After they left and were about 20 minutes away, we noticed that a very large antique armoire was not in the upstairs room with the other antique furniture that were together in our old home. I called one of the movers who said they would turn around to return but had to call their office as they also asked me to do. Now this armoire is 8' tall, 4' wide and 2 1/2' deep. No physical way for us to muscle it upstairs. In fact, it was deep into the garage with big moving boxes and bins in front of it and could not easily be seen. We were told they would NOT be returning as they were needed in a different location the next morning. We were told we could call their Customer Care team, but it was pretty much too bad for us is the impression we got as we got no help and were not going to get any help from them, not any refund for paying to have that moved as well.

The claim for the broken lamps was also not great but I understand the dynamics in play. You do have the option to buy additional insurance, but the cost is very high considering that really nothing much should be damaged. We opted for the standard insurance which pays $.60 per pound. We did receive money for the lamps, and actually a bit more than expected per them, but no resolution to the armoire issue even though I mentioned it several times to the person handling the lamp issue. On the plus side, we were paid literally instantly once we agreed to the settlement for the lamps. So based on experience, it will cost us approximately $200.00 to get 4 strong guys to CAREFULLY take it upstairs for us. It is still in the garage.

Pros: Arrived promptly, courteous, worked throughout time in home.

Cons: During setup at new home, the workers just disappeared without notice and without finishing unpacking and setting up furniture. Called office in Jacksonville, Brad the supervisor said he would send someone to complete the job. That never happened. The bill was much higher than expected. The cost of materials is high and not included in the estimate. You have to pay when the initial packing is completed, so there is no recourse if something untoward happens. No wonder the moving business has such a bad reputation.

The absolute worst moving experience of my life. I contracted for this move for the sake of moving my piano with these “experienced piano movers”. The crew showed up one person short and acted appalled that there was a piano in front of them. Upon asking them why they were surprised by the piano, all three men stated they’d never moved a piano before and that they didn’t know how. (I’d spoken to the estimator and manager prior to scheduling to ensure they could move it. They came out and looked at the piano in fact.) One man stated, “That’s okay, we can look at YouTube videos to take it apart”. After hours of waiting for a manager to arrive to help with moving the final item, the piano, he told me they couldn’t move it. (I’ve had it moved twice in the last 10 years with no issue.)

The movers took 5 hours to arrive at destination - It’s a 3 hour drive. They offloaded everything within 40 minutes (I had about 10 pieces of furniture and maybe 10 boxes - no piano). Again, could’ve done it all with my own pickup truck if I knew they’d not move the piano. I paid the movers the total on the manager’s word that he would call me and send a receipt so we could go over charges and make some discounts to make up for the broken contract. I was never able to get a receipt until spending 7 hours on hold in total and sending multiple emails. The receipt I have gotten shows an increase of $400 from the original cost estimate which included additional crew members, 5 hours anticipated loading/offloading time, and a freaking piano which was never moved.

Everyone I’ve spoken to has given me the run around and has been short with me. One person even told me he had other customers to speak to and told me he didn’t have time for me. I’ve been hung up on and I’ve received no discount other than one they claim which I can’t even see on paper. I paid for services which were not rendered and now I’ve lost my piano because I had to leave it behind in a rental unit which made my landlords very unhappy. Bottom line, these guys aren’t experienced, they’re not transparent on anything, and they aren’t professional. Don’t give them your money. I learned the hard way.

There is nothing good I can say about this company. Please check with Better Business Bureau reviews before you contract with them. Their corporate office did nothing to help us with our situation. I have worked in customer service my entire career. My husband owned a franchise business. We would never talk to customers the way the managers spoke to us. First problem is they wouldn't send a salesperson to our home to determine our needs for our move. When the crew arrived in a small rented truck and a slightly large truck with their name, they were very happy with our preparations but requested another truck be sent. We had to leave to drive to our new home for closing. We received a call from the crew saying they had left furnishings behind.

When I called the office I was told it was my problem, not their problem. They told me to drive my @@@@ back and rent a UHaul. We had to send friends to retrieve the rest of our belongings. Then they told us they wanted additional payment before their trucks arrived. Our bank was alarmed at their attempts to charge our account. We agreed to $2000; they took $3000. The next day before they unloaded they required additional payment. They then agreed to retrieve the rest of our furnishings from our friends storage. This truck wasn't big enough either! And our possessions weren't delivered until two days later. There was damage to items on this delivery. Our friends delivered the rest on their own. We called the nationwide office to report our concerns. They did nothing but had the franchise call and rant at us again.

All My Sons moving company was terrible from the call center all the way to moving my items. The call center booked me for a 8-9am move this morning, but your movers arrived after 11am, started their time at 1115 when they hadn’t moved a single item until after 12! You sent one guy that says he’s been doing this for 4yrs and 1 that just started this week. That alone is bad scheduling. A new person should be placed with a 3 man team training. He was absolutely clueless! Then your guy with 4yrs experience placed my supporting feet for the racks on the underside of my bed on backwards and they fell out pretty much immediately. Good thing I looked under my bed to my surprise and saw 3 of them just laying there not even in the boards! I had to point out how to put them in.

Your call center failed to mention a fuel charge, a minimum of 3 hrs and the hour charged to come to the location. They have damaged furniture, dirtied walls and doors. I moved to Tn initially 2 years ago from Ms (3hr plus drive) and the movers took less time to get me moved (same 3 beds and furniture). I literally moved to a house in the same neighborhood today (2 minutes drive). Your company has charged me $1473 today and this is downright robbery for an inadequate 2 person crew to take double the time necessary, leaving me with damaged furniture and not to mention my entire family having to move stuff down to the truck and then assisting with getting items into the house due to how slow everything was being done. I am lost for further words but I am truly disappointed in All My Sons moving company. This has been one of the most awful experiences for sure.

ALL MY SONS AKA ALL MY SCAMS Is the most unethical company I’ve ever had to work with!

THE BREAKDOWN: I was originally quoted just under $500 for a small one bedroom, with two movers and was told it should take no more than two hours. Paid my $100 deposit, and was told I would get a confirmation call a week before the move. I received no call so I called them 2 days before my move date, and suddenly I’m told I need three men vs original quoted two despite the same information provided both times. It felt like an upsell so I pushed back. They also never gave a time frame so I had to just wait until they were ready as if I were doing them a favor.

THE MOVE: Moving day comes and I got two very young disgruntled men that complained the entire time about the stairs (2 flights). They were moving so slow that my sister and I had to step in and bring stuff down for the sake of time. I had to dismantle my own bed, and wrapped most of my own furniture because of the snail pace they moved in. It took them OVER THREE HOURS just to load my small 1 bedroom apt in the truck, and two more to unload.

THE SET UP: Once we arrived at my new location, I’m told my balance would be likely over $1,200!!! The mover called dispatch and it was changed to $950, which was a $500 upcharge. I brought shrink wrap for the furniture, the movers refused to use and insisted on using their own. This warranted their $150 “supplies fee”. I had no choice. One of the movers confronted me about a “gratuity” on the work my sister and I had to help with. When I mentioned I didn’t have cash, he mentioned his “cash app”. Stupidly I sent him a small tip so he can leave my space immediately.

THE CONCLUSION: If you care about your time, money, and items DO NOT HIRE ALL MY SONS. They use bait and switch tactics, and unethical business practices to take advantage of people trying to simply transition into a new place.

TL:DR. Keep looking. This company can and will scam you. They are not real professionals at all.

I initially got a quote from All My Sons Moving and Storage on 7/17/23 for $167.95 an hr for moving a 1 bedroom apartment on Saturday 7/29/23. I had multiple conversations before I actually signed the contract and not once did somebody tell me that there was a minimum of 5 hr labor time on weekends. I found that information out after the move was complete and I called to inquire as to why my bill was so high. Had that information been disclosed to me, I would have never booked All My Sons Moving in the first place. I even told the movers there was stuff I didn’t want them to move because I felt it would take them longer, which would then cut into the $167.95 an hour rate they quoted me. Not once did someone say, "We’re going to charge you for a minimum of 5 hours."

I understand that I signed a contract, in which the mover told me that I didn’t need to read over, but regardless I feel like I was duped into agreeing to a contract that I would’ve never agreed to if the rate was quoted more accurately to begin with (ie a minimum of $839.75= $167.95 x 5 hours). I’m not asking for a full refund, but rather than making it right. The move took a total of 3.2 hours, and 30 minutes of that was parking an oversized truck which was completely unnecessary for a 1 br. move to begin with.

I voiced my concern to the operations manager Gabriel ** but his concern was only about how a refund would reflect on his audit and not how they failed to disclose that it was a 5 hr minimum of labor time. Gabriel then accused me of threatening him after I told him I was going to leave reviews and contact the Better Business Bureau for failing to disclose that it was a 5 hr minimum of labor time. Once again, I understand that I signed a contract, but it was a contract that I mislead and duped into signing in the first place. I really hope that All My Sons Moving can make this awful situation right. Regardless of whether or not All My Sons can provide a resolution, I hope my experience can provide an opportunity to improve their deceptive business practices.

They were claimed that they unable to reach me via phone, so I confirmed my phone number. The day of the move, I'm waiting for a phone call to confirm their arrival. After waiting hours, I call for a status update, only to be told they were cancelling my move, and that once again, they were unable to reach me via phone. When I asked if they left a voicemail, I was informed, and I quote "I wasn't the one who made the call." I asked them to test the phone number, and they did not.

I called back again, spoke with someone else, and when they attempted to call, it came through. They had been lying to me, and were making it as if I was at fault. They provided me with two options: wait a week, or a full deposit. I was moving to a new residence, meaning, I was not able to remain in the previous residence for another week. Therefore, I opted for the full refund, and was able to secure another moving company that moved me on short notice. I did receive my money, but I am still thoroughly displeased with how they do business.

Consider yourself forewarned to not use All My Sons Moving and Storage to move your belongings in the Kansas City Area. Much of my elderly mother's furnishings were recently damaged or destroyed by the mishandling and negligence of the AMS moving crew. Lampshades and pottery smashed to smithereens because they weren't protected nor secured. Dressers flipped upside-down and drug across the van floor without blankets to protect them. Chips, scrapes, and gouges out of almost every other item. Irreparable damage to antiques and a 55" TV (in addition to all the previously mentioned damage) was completely avoidable and the "compensation" of 60 cents per pound doesn't come close to covering this negligence.

There would've been far more damage had I not insisted they properly pack artwork (with the bubble wrap WE had on hand). The contract included additional fees for them to pack the entire household but when the 4 movers arrived (2 with zero experience) they claimed they didn't know they would be packing and were not properly prepared with packing materials so they wanted to only shrink-wrap everything. I assume that some of the good reviews are coming from cities where the crew was more careful and better prepared but DON'T use this company in KC!

That gentleman, that I was watching, did a great job of wrapping and protecting my furniture. Unfortunately his crew of 3 other men did not. They used stretch wrap on furniture but no blankets or pads to protect from scratches. No wrap of any kind on my oak dining chairs. They actually had everything packed on the truck within 4 hours. The drive to my new home is 2.5 hours. I left an hour after the truck and arrived an hour before the truck. When they arrived they were in a hurry to get unloaded and back to Murfreesboro.

Dropped and dragged furniture which resulted in gouges and scrapes on my hardwood floors. The gentleman in charge said they would send someone to repair the damage. That never happened. The estimate for the floor repair alone was $2500.00. Two of my dining chairs now have scratches and so does my guest room dresser. After filing claims and fighting with the company for 3 months, the best they offered for all of the damages was $420.00. I took it to put towards repairing the floors but am thoroughly disgusted with the way this company handled the situation. Would definitely not recommend this company.

There was only ONE (1) Bedroom of furniture containing two wood dressers, one large the other small and a King Size Wood Bed that was NOT WRAPPED and about 20 boxes and living room items such as a dining room set table with 8 chairs (That I wrapped taken down and prepared for the move MYSELF). One large stereo cabinet, a China cabinet and a china case. A sofa with three arm chairs.

My other items were not moved due to the fact that this company sent 3 young ** guys who were not trained to move but trained how to waste time talking on the cell phone with the job manager and taken one item moving it to one spot then placing it down and then picking it up again to put it on the elevator that I only had a 4 hour time frame to use. These guy first came late wasting my moving time then moved so slowly that they waste the elevator time I was allowed. From the few Items they did get on the elevator they did not put them on the truck, they put them on the ground. Returned back for move item in the same moving manner. They moved their truck twice when there was NO REASON to move the truck only to waste time.

The whole time the guy acting like the crew leader talk about was How this company INFLATES Customers' Fees by almost TRIPLE the Discussed moving charge. This is EXACTLY WHAT THIS GUY DID. MY ESTIMATE MOVING CHARGE WITH ALL FEES WAS $1400.00. Due to the fact my elevator time was wasted the guys did not complete my move. They had to load the truck and take the items to the next location. They took TWO LUNCH BREAKS just to continue to waste time. When they finally arrived to my next location they had to walk up to my apt. and inspect and estimate the time it will take to UNLOAD the truck. ALL 3 of the guys had to do this.

Before they touched anything on the truck I had to paid what I was told my Final Moving Charges which NOW DOUBLED IN PRICE from $1400.00 to $2120.00. Next after paying that fee I was told that I had an additional fee $150.00 in supplies they used after I told them that I did not want to use any of their items because I already had those supplies. The Crew leader told me that BY THE OWNER'S RULES THEY MUST USE THE ITEM REGARDLESS IF THE CUSTOMER WANTS THEM OR NOT. Well the event was not over. They left a few expensive pieces of furniture claiming that they could not get the headboard of the bed on the elevator which was NOT TRUE. At least an hour and a half passed until I was told this so I had to EXPLAIN to them how to put the Headboard on the lift.

Next I was handed the Crew leader's phone show that I owed an ADDITIONAL FEE of $600.00 because the movers had to work over the time they allowed because they did not know how to put two Items on the lift. The Crew leader asked me that if I paid him $200.00 in CASH he would tell his boss that I did not have the extra $600.00 I was being charged. This was the BONUS Mr. ** told me that his company PAYS his crews to work fast and keep down the cost of a move. Inflated cost such as a 18% fuel charge which totaled $350.00 for driving 36 miles from the company's location to my both apts. and a $229.00 Fee for the use of the truck the same rate charge per hour for the move.

This crew claimed that they had filled a 26 foot truck with my items but I have photo showing that they on used less than a quarter of the truck and they did not finished the entire move. My experience with All My Sons Moving & Storage was an utter disappointment. Despite booking a 3-person packing and moving crew a month in advance, Nate, the representative, gave me the runaround after he pressured me to upgrade to a larger crew. To make matters worse, a team of two movers arrived nine hours late with a work order indicating they were only to move my items.

I was told their professional crews could pack and move a 1100sq ft apartment in several hours and estimated the final cost to be around $800-1200. The final price was double, despite half of the packing already completed when they arrived. Even the payment process was unprofessional, with the company sending the wrong authorization form and requesting that I write an incorrect deposit amount. Despite having a pending charge on my card, they refused to start unloading until they amended the incorrect credit card form they sent me. They also refused to provide me with an invoice. When I asked for a discount because of the wasted day and the additional cost I had to bare because of their mistakes, they took off $100. This entire experience was incredibly frustrating and stressful, and I cannot recommend this company to anyone.

I had a terrible experience with All My Sons Moving & Storage and Storage. I booked a 3-person packing and moving crew a month in advance, but instead, a team of two movers arrived nine hours late with a work order indicating they were only to move my items. From 7:50 am until 5:00 pm, the local representative told me a series of untruths and misinformation instead of simply saying, "I do not know," or "It might not be possible to get this done today:" "Yesterday's job ran over, so the team is there now and will be at your location at 11:00 am." Prompting me to ask, "Why did you tell me at 7:30 am or last night when I called to confirm?" "The crew was stopped by the police on the interstate, but they will be there in 45 minutes. The police are on the way to the crew stopped on the interstate. They should be about 45-50 minutes. I have to take the drive off the road per company policy, so I need to find another crew for you. The crew I found for you will be there in 20 minutes. They are just wrapping up a job." (They never arrived.)

"I have a team on the way and will send some extra men to help finish the job." At this point, two men with a work order stating they were just to move my items arrived. The representative's, Nate's, continual insistence that the crew was "just 45 minutes away" stopped me from engaging another company. The cost ($2400) was double what I initially quoted ($800-1100) for a 3-person crew packing an entire 1100sq. In my case, half of the packing was done when the three people arrived. They only needed to pack the small kitchen, the artwork on the walls, the electronics, and break down any furniture they thought best. After taking over five hours to pack, they took another 2.5 hours to move the contents 10 yards from my door to the dedicated freight elevator and 20 yards from the freight elevator to the moving truck.

The payment process was also unprofessional, with the company sending the wrong authorization form and requesting that I write an incorrect deposit amount. Despite having a pending charge on my card, they refused to start unloading until the incorrect form they sent was amended. When I asked for a discount due to their mistakes and the wasted day, they only offered me $100 off. The movers worked at a slow pace that did not indicate they were being cautious. It was more a pace designed to elongate their billable hours. Overall, this was an incredibly frustrating and stressful experience, and I cannot recommend this company to anyone.

I hired All My Sons to move my things on April 12th. I specifically asked if they would be able to move my 2 LARGE mirrors (9ft and 7ft from Arhaus valued at over 3,500). They promised me that they could do the move and charged me extra for padding and supplies to ensure my property doesn't get damaged! They sent 4 young guys that had zero experience to do the job. None of the pads were used, They moved the mirrors when I turned my back, and didn't bring a truck large enough. They made two trips and didn't get done till 12am. They started at 4pm.

Now that my Pierre mirrors and Jagger dining chairs are damaged, they are fighting me tooth and nail to simply pay 330.00. SMH! They also will not replace your items if they damage them at value. Only .60 per pound. Yet after damaging 4,000 worth of my property the claims department is refusing to simply pay me per their contract at .60 cent per pound. This company is extremely SHADY! I def do not recommend. As a military personnel and single mother who works hard for my property, you would think they would have some decency! Just crazy!

I am an 18 year active duty Marine and former military dependent, having moved every 3 years since I was born, so you can say I am familiar with moving. We moved off a military base in preparation of my retirement. We hired All My Sons Moving and Storage based on reviews and quote from the National Corporate office/schedulers. Everything from the National Corporate office/schedulers regarding the quote were ignored by the local/district management.

Our quote from the National Corporate Office:

    1) Supplies $122... what we were charged $248 + additional supply charges.
    2) Labor starts when we arrive at the house... what we were charged when the movers showed up to the front gate (not to mention the driver got lost because his GPS messed up). Two additional hours of labor for them sitting at the gate and getting lost.
    3) Labor for lunch... yes, we were charged for them taking an 1hr lunch break.
    4) Fuel Surcharge is 18% of labor cost... the labor cost was already messed up so now fuel surcharge is messed up.

    5) Driver forgot his tools at the point of origin... I had to drive back 45 mins so the driver could get his tools.

I have tried to reason and discuss with the local manager... NOTHING. I have tried to reach out to the National Corporate office... NOTHING! I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and contesting the charges with my Credit Card Company. We received a quote... the company should honor that quote. I would not recommend All My Sons moving company. I was almost charged over $600 for moving 3 dressers, a bed, two desk chairs, and 3 nightstand sized objects, essentially a bedroom worth of items. It was a local move, 17 miles between houses, and now longer than a 40 minute drive. They tried to charge me for materials, services, and time not used. I ended up paying nearly $500 for the move.

On top of all that, their movers damaged my furniture by failing to properly cover them in readily available moving blankets, which is included with the move. Fortunately, getting a damage claim form was quickly ready by their customer service, but to me that doesn't speak well for a moving company. I am thoroughly disappointed with their quality of service, and I would choose anyone else in Birmingham, AL to use as a moving company.

I was told before they could not remove anything from the truck until I pay, the total went from $548.00 to $1044.00. I received a call from the storage facility that I needed to purchase another storage unit because there was not enough room for all my things, so I did, I received a call later the same day that the driver had thrown my items into the dumpster, and that he told the facility that I said it was not mine, I was not there!, I had to leave them and go to the closing, but he knew the item was mine, he had just packed it up at my Condo and moved it, the manager at the facility took it out of the dumpster and made sure it was not broken and kept it for me.

I felt like I was being oversold when they offered me three guys, but I went with it anyway because I trusted the judgment on behalf of your company. I have moved about 20 times in my adult life and have always done it on my own, this was my first time using movers. I estimated that it would take 3 hours; however, it took four. To set the stage, everything was packed and staged in a single room; outside of the bed (that was disassembled), couch, TV stand and TV.

I estimate that they used 3 boxes for couch cushions and bedding, plastic wrapped 5 items, and used one mattress cover, yet material costs were $150. In addition, I was charged $200 for travel, when I moved 1.5 miles. Overall, I originally estimated the cost of the move to be $600, with the third guy maybe $800, it came in at over $1200. I feel like the lack of transparency on the front end should be highlighted. I hope that this is not a common practice of your company.

Alright, I generally never write a review if it is going to be a bad one, as I understand how much it can impact a business. A negative review is equivalent to about 10 positive ones IMO. But this one I had to put it on paper, just so others don’t go through what we did with these guys. Here’s an account of what happened and how it was handled by All My Sons:

We asked for an afternoon move around 12:30 pm a few weeks before our moving date. We specifically said our new house closing was at 10 am and, therefore, wanted an afternoon move to monitor the move. The salesperson at AMS then gladly obliged and said that wouldn’t be an issue at all. Then a day or two before the move date, AMS called to confirm the route and the items to move.

Mind you, no one was sent to the physical location to take an inventory of the items. We did make sure to let them know of our apartment size and the storage stop to make before delivering everything to the new home. During this call the gentleman insisted the move start at 8 am so they can be out of our hair by 6-7pm. He said we didn’t need to be there, as long as we can meet the movers at the storage place. So we obliged and signed off on an AM move thinking we’ll just show them what all needs to go into the truck and the rest they should be able to handle without us physically being present there. BIG MISTAKE!!!

They loaded the truck unmonitored and lugged in trash from the old house (like old rugs etc. that we were going to throw out) and came to storage over an hour late. Then they dropped the bomb on us, that their truck wasn’t big enough for everything we needed to move, therefore they can’t take everything from storage. Once they arrived to our new home they refused to unload the truck unless we paid them which was an additional $1k from what they had initially quoted us. So essentially we paid more than the quoted price, for an incomplete job, as the storage items were never brought to the new home.

We signed because we needed our stuff in the new home only to find brand new wall knicked by the movers when moving our office desk, broke our office desk, damaged our expensive dining table and several more issues were uncovered post unloading. But wait it doesn’t end there!… the customer care guy, Jermain, tried to put it on us, saying we committed to single truck only and therefore could not bring all items out of storage. We were never asked how many trucks we’d need. How would we know how many trucks or men would be needed for this job. That would be at the moving company’s discretion. All we were asked is how many rooms we had and what were the heaviest furniture pieces we intended to move.

Overall it was an absolute nightmare and we were brushed off to their claims department. Mind you it’s been over a week now since submitting the claim with proof of the damages and it’s been radio silence from them. Yeah definitely DO NOT use these guys. You will pay a heavy price for basically ending up doing things yourselves. I plan to get this word out there to more folks, because I’d hate for someone else to go through the ordeal we went through. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS AND YOU’D BE DOING YOURSELVES A FAVOR!

Updated on 08/22/2023: My husband and I had scheduled our hardwood floors to be refinished. I rented a POD (Storage) that I would have my furniture stored in while work was being done onsite. I called a few moving companies to get estimates and talk to them about what my expectations were. The one detail I mentioned repeatedly was that I did not want anyone to rush. The time needed to move my furniture without damage was worth the extra money I paid by the hr. Priority was placed on safety and proper care of our items.

On February 28th, two Movers came to our house and began the process of moving our furniture into the storage POD. During this visit while the movers were transferring from carrying my dresser, to placing it on a small wooden dolly, they lost control and it landed face first onto the concrete sidewalk. I immediately made sure the guys were ok. One of the movers let me know he was going to report the incident to his supervisor, and I believe he did. My husband and I were also extremely busy getting ready for the work which was to start the next morning. I was excited that the movers were polite and I didn’t give much more thought about the exhausting overall day. I hired a company so I did not have to manage anyone. I hired a moving company with expectations that they had appropriate staff, experience, and equipment.

Fast forward to 3/17/23 when it was time to bring my furniture back into my home. When they first arrived we went into the kitchen to go over whatever paperwork before they could begin. The paperwork was almost 30min. The screen on the electronic pad was broken. The gentleman scrolled through sections trying to get his notepad to work. I was shown multiple places to sign with no explanation. Already 30minutes into a job because the notepad would not work correctly. This can be seen by my signature (illegible) and the places that do not have my initials. The mover was also visibly frustrated with the notepad. The movers went to open the POD and discovered there was absolutely nothing protecting our furniture surfaces. The last item in the POD is a mattress which obscured the view of all of the other items.

It wasn’t until they moved the mattress that we could see how everything had been packed. Furniture pieces were stacked on top of one another with nothing in-between to protect the surfaces. I asked the three movers that were there unloading to please report this to their supervisor. They assured me they would let management know that the items were not properly protected. Once they started unloading, the first thing we noticed was our nightstand that has a satin nickel metal finish now had deep scratches on the top from a wooden piece of furniture that was placed on top of the nightstand with nothing protecting it. The next item that they brought in damaged was my dining room table. The top of it has a huge gouge down the center of it. All four sides of my tabletop have scratches down the sides of them, and a decorative piece of wood on the leg of the table that is completely broken off.

I was horrified at this point since my table is barely a year old. When my table was delivered to our home after I purchased it, I had a glass top cut for it by Robinson glass in order to protect the top of it from any damage. Our table was in perfect condition prior to this. So when the movers got to the dresser that had been dropped on the first trip they were carrying it in one on the movers could no longer hang on and he dropped his end of the dresser.( Yes! Same dresser as before) I asked everyone if they were ok, and asked if they would please let their manager know what happened. Once the dresser made it into the bedroom it was clear there were several things damaged including the corner that had broke off when it was dropped. The face of the dresser has deep gouges from the drop on the first trip. The soft close drawer on my dresser that is suppose to line, up perfectly to enhance the chevron pattern on it, no longer is in alignment.

I purchased this item approximately six months ago. I am well aware that the 2 times my dresser was dropped it was not intentional, but it was the movers I hired who were not able to appropriately handle the items. Three movers seemed to struggle with every piece of furniture. I asked them to go take a break in order to prevent any injuries or mistakes. (I paid by the hour so I am not discounted for the time) It was important to me that my furniture was not damaged. I specifically said please take your time. I would rather everyone is safe and nothing damaged than rush through this and have something happen.

A small wooden furniture dolly is all the movers had to do the job. I am not an expert in this area, but it seemed the movers they sent were ill equipped for the job. I hired a company for a particular task and was sold on them telling me they were experienced, licensed, insured and bonded. I called the All My Sons local location to follow up with them about what happened and to make sure it was reported. I was assured they had been told what happened and were sending me a claim report.

I returned the claim form on the 3/28/23, and finally heard back from Joe ** in claims 4/12/23. I have attached the emails that were sent between us. You can see in these exchanges that we were getting nowhere. Extremely frustrated I decided to reach out to Joe and talk with him about what happened. I let him know all pieces are less than a year old. Joe stated to me that my furniture did not look ruined. I said, OK then send somebody out and let's see if they can repair these items. Joe stated “We are not going to send anybody to look at repair, or replace my furniture." After this statement I asked if I could speak with his supervisor, and was told this is as far as I will go. There is no one else I was going to speak with. Update: They have done Nothing to resolve this!!!! If they try to respond to Consumer Affairs and say they settled...then make them prove it before it shows my complaint was handled.

Original Review: SHAME ON ALL MY SONS MOVING. The workers did the best they could with what they were given. Even though we pay by the hour, I made it clear I was not in a rush, but was more concerned that things were handled with care. Where things went awry is they were unprepared to handle our furniture. There were critical tools they didn't have. Ex. an appropriate dolly, no blankets to protect the surfaces, a lack of manpower. A total of 3 pieces of furniture were dropped, damaged and deeply scratched. The top drawer on the dresser is now misaligned and the corner is broken off as this one was dropped twice!

Due to the furniture being under a year from purchase, we wanted a moving company that was insured. Customer service stated they were licensed, bonded and insured as well as, went as far to tell me "We are one of the only companies licensed." All My Sons moving company has done nothing to resolve the issue. They offered a few hundred dollars as replacement for the damaged furniture. I will have to hire an attorney now to get this resolved. They sold me on great service and assured my items would be taken care of.

The movers reported all of the accidents that happened to their manager. I was sent a claim form, and it has gone nowhere. I attempted to call this evening and talk to a manager and was told there was not a manager on duty. I was hung up on 3 times and finally, after multiple attempts, someone put me through to a manager. I was thankful no one was injured, but cannot believe that I am left holding the bill for the damages.

BEWARE!!!! This is a long review but it is worth reading!! If I could give 0 stars I would! I have a few things to complain about. Disclaimer: ALL of my items were broken down and placed in 1 area. They did NOT have to break ANYTHING down or go to different rooms to move items. ALL THE MOVERS HAD TO DO WAS MOVE ITEMS INTO THEIR TRUCK. I did NOT have them to assemble items in my new house, all I needed them to do was to put the items in the new house, that is all! Also my house was a 1 story home, so keep that in mind.

    1. Drivers drove extremely slow from destination to destination (1st destination was in Pelham, 2nd destination was Calera, and last destination was 5 minutes away from my old home).

    2. The truck was NOT empty when they started loading it. (There was a beige couch and a mattress on there that did NOT belong to me). The "Owner" Tim called me a liar and told me that the truck was empty when he was not even there.

    3. The movers were lazy, doing a lot of standing around and on their phones. (Now I would not complain about how long it took to move IF I had hard workers DOING THEIR JOB!!).

    4. Once the truck was full. The movers were just standing around. I had to ask what was going on. They didn't not have the final destination address which I gave when I set up the move and I gave it to TIM the day before). They stood around instead of asking me for the address.

    5. I paid for 3 movers. I really got 2 movers and 1 truck driver.

    6. THANKFULLY, I had family there to help because MY FAMILY had to HELP the movers MOVE and LOAD things because they were moving extremely SLOW!!!!

    7. My furniture was chipped and scuffed. I bought a NEW BUILD and they scratched the paint on the wall moving things in.

    8. I was charged $178.50 for materials. Which I read in the fine print. HOWEVER, I was charge $60 for 12 rolls of tape. They did NOT use 12 rolls of tape, they used MY bubble wrap and took their shrink wrap to wrap the items.

    9. THE VERY MOST IMPORTANT COMPLAINT (which honestly could have been avoided): I called All My Sons on 2/22/2023 (to talk to a manager to put in my complaint, the guy that answered the phone told me that the managers (Tim and Darius was not in the office) and to call the next day (2/23/2023). He did take my complaint and he told me all he could do was send me the claim paperwork for my furniture (which I was fine with that). I never received the claims paperwork via email nor text message, at that time.

I called all my sons on 2/23/2023 to speak to a manager. I talked to Darius and explained what was listed above. He apologized and refunded me $30 for the tape and told me that's all he could do. He sent me the claims paperwork. He said he can refund materials not labor. So I asked him for his boss's information. He transferred me to customer care and customer care told me that they could not provide that information. I would have to get it from Darius or Tim. So I called right back. Darius transferred me to Tim.

Now this is where my biggest complaint comes. I proceeded to explain to Tim my complaints, he cut me off to say "They already told me what was going on". Well how do I know what they told you? So instead of listening he did not want to hear what I had to say. He came on the phone very rude. He told me he was not doing anything about my complaint. He also told me that Triston called me during the move to ask how things were going. This is not true, I can pull my call log. He called me a liar and said he was sitting next to Triston when he called me. I explained to him that I did not get a call from them and did not speak to anyone. I told him his calls were recorded and he cut me off and said "yeah, but I'm not going through 500 calls."

I asked for his boss's information he told me he was the manager and there was no one else to talk to. He was extremely rude. Now, I am more upset about how Tim treated me on the phone vs. my experience with the movers. Tim does not care about his customers so BEWARE! I am out of $1,065.75 because of lazy movers and poor management.

My daughter hired this company to provide moving services just a few miles in the state of Colorado. She was quoted $500-$600. Once the move was completed, she signed a document stating that the total was $838; however, they charged her $1,538. Despite the evidence of the document being signed by both parties, they are refusing a refund. They did refund a small portion for overcharging for materials not used. I have read many other reviews of the company and found that appears this experience is common with young women. This company is highly suspect in their practices. When I spoke to someone at their corporate level, they basically told me too bad.

I paid All My Sons to move me from NC to KY. For items I watched them pack, they did an excellent job. When they packed items upstairs or when I was not there, they packed glass items with NO paper or any protection. They damaged over 50 items because they did not use paper. They did not provide me with any sort of itemized list as per the contract, allowed a woman (who said she was a dancer at a club along the way) to come into my new house and unpack my items, had many items disappear from packing to unpacking, and allowed some of the movers to smoke ** with my ex-boyfriend during the move.

The damage exceeded $20k, yet their National Reputation Manager offered me a quote for 6% of the damage amount. When I sent him a picture of my contract, he raised the quote to 12% of the actual damage. He repeatedly lied to me. I am disappointed by their work, their work ethic, and how blatantly they disregarded their own contract language. The loss of so many of my items between pack and unpack (I saw the items get packed and then could not find them in the boxes at unpack). Please do not allow All My Sons to move your valuables, as they clearly showed me that they cannot be trusted.

So my move took place a few years ago from Indianapolis to DC, but I’m still discovering missing items (some apparently stolen like my mother’s Pearl necklace and my grandfather’s watch fob) and all the items I suspect were broken (artwork in frames, etc.). The movers showed up unprepared to pack (part of what I paid for) or to make a long distance move. They came without boxes or packing materials. Two smoked ** and were clearly inexperienced. I was patient and kind and bought them all lunch and even tipped them. Why? Because I was trying to be nice.

On the DC end, two new guys were added—clearly on drugs—one was nasty and urinated all over my bathroom floor—they brought in broken items (heartbreaking) and even fell into a wall that left a gaping hole I had to have repaired. The so-called protective material they were to put down on the floors and carpet was a joke—it was thin paper that tore up and they left a trail of mud and dirt all over. I complained to the company and they finally begrudgingly refunded me a measly $800, which didn’t come close to covering the damage and list items.

I am so sorry I got tangled up with this company with the false promises about what to expect. Lack of preparation, inexperience, and sketchy guys who steal and break are not acceptable. Having just remembered today another missing artwork I am writing this review to warn others who may be considering this company. The man who initially met with me and made all the promises about packing and moving long distance vanished when I tried to contact him. Moving is hard enough without this kind of experience. I mostly have put it behind me, but today I was looking for another item and realized with a pang it was one more lost, broken, or stolen item. I hope whoever is wearing my dead mother’s pearls and my grandfather’s watch fob is at least taking care of them. Very heartbroken.

All My Sons sales rep explained all our furniture would be wrapped and workers were background checked. We had brand new furniture which we had to have delivered from furniture store prior to our move which meant All My Sons had to move it. Upon arrival at our new home we found our brand new, never used, still had foam packing from furniture store, with 2 broken off legs which All My Sons glued back on without telling us hoping we would not notice. We also had a brand new dining room arm chair (still with plastic on seat) broken, the wood on the back of chair was split. They told us don't worry, file a claim, they are insured. They dropped a caddy filled with nails that was in our garage into the street. I had to help pick up every nail because I didn't want any neighbors finding a nail in their tires. The caddy had not been wrapped and was completely destroyed.

Our garage items were just thrown off a dolly into a pile in the garage and gouged our new epoxy floor. They also knocked into our walls in our new home and that was also gouged. Our white furniture had dirty fingerprints covering wherever they touched it. A few pieces of china got broken and a mirror was cracked. All My Sons was extremely careless with our belongings. Furniture was not wrapped liked promised. As for background check, it was overheard that a couple of them had recently been released from the slammer. As for the insurance claim, they offered us $281 which did not even cover the cost of the chair, not to mention the TV console that had broken legs and scratches up the sides because it wasn't wrapped. Save yourself lots of aggravation and find someone else to move you.

This was a disaster from the beginning. We hired AMS to move some of our larger furniture on 11/27/2022. A job that should have taken two qualified movers about 2-3 hours took 3 movers about 8 hours. Two of the men admitted it was their first day on the job. They hit every wall and damaged a fairly new king bedroom suite among other things that were not even worth reporting. I was assured that they would make things right. After a month of going back and forth with the claims department, I was told that my new bedroom suite was "previously" damaged. Ivy at the claims department was beyond rude, disrespectful, and definitely lacks empathy. My claims adjuster never calls only emails, and now he is out for the "rest of the year."

I finally spoke with a "team lead" Geoff that said I could submit proof of purchase for my items, but that he would have to agree with Joe that my headboard/footboard was previously damaged. I'm mentally exhausted after being on the phone with them for over 2 hours. The Memphis location refuses to answer the phone, and I was advised by Geoff that "nothing good could come of going there in person." He advised me not to go in person, but no one is able to reach them by phone. Very frustrating, and you will be better off renting a truck and finding someone on the side of the road to move your furniture. These people do not care about your belongings, and they do not want to pay you what they are worth when damaged. It's really sad that they are able to stay in business.

If you are considering this moving company--DON'T! My move was quoted at around $1250 for a 900 square foot one bedroom apartment move from downtown Chicago to Gurnee, IL with 3 movers. The bill ended up being over $2000 and the move took a total of 8 hours. It took 4 hours for the movers to wrap and move my furniture from my Chicago apartment. Mind you, the elevator was reserved for them. I even extended the elevator reservation time. When I called and expressed my concerns with Jason at this location, he was very rude and cruel to myself and my mother. He said the wrapping took longer than anticipated even though only 1 mover was wrapping. I had to request video footage from my apartment complex to see what the movers were doing throughout the 4 hours and found a total of 1 hour ideal time.

The mover reported to Jason that we told them to leave the apartment. This was very shocking and concerning that the movers were lying to the office so I called customer care who then referred me back to the local office. The local office did not answer any of my calls until we called from my mother's phone number. Between my mother and I, we called a total of 7 times to escalate our concerns during the move. One of the movers said we were being racially discriminated against. I was given an email for the District Manager who has yet to contact me 3 days after the move. Thank God I have eyewitnesses, phone call history, phone call recordings, photos and video footage to take to court if my concerns are not escalated.

After calling the customer care number again today, I am filing a formal complaint in addition to reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and warning consumers on all platforms to not utilize this business. Luckily, I have the time and money to see this legal matter through, but many don't during tough economic times. Go where you're treated respectfully and given great customer service--My experience was the opposite with this company. They have thousands of complaints with the Better Business Bureau within the past 3 years. Don't make the same mistake as me.

Highway Robbery. Abuse of the hourly rate system and underhanded extra fees not properly explained. On 10/20/22 this company charged me a total $950 to move a one bed/one bath second floor apartment (with direct elevator access) to a two bed/two bath first floor apartment 8 MILES AWAY. I had a small one bed/one bath to move 8 miles across town. The movers would take down a piece of furniture, vanish for 10-15 minutes, then come up for the next one. I was assured that this is standard to ensure my "belongings were packaged and secured professionally" but I still ended up with DAMAGED GOODS.

The movers did not come with their own tools, and I had to supply my own for them to use on the one item that required partial disassembly. I was charged around $150 in "premium moving materials" but was never told that my move would require such materials. As a matter of fact, the email they had sent me told me I would have FREE quilt wrapping to move my stuff. The movers used "premium equipment" freely and I was billed for it at the end. I was later informed an "estimated material cost" was included at the very bottom of my initial email, far away from the quoted hourly rate and what to expect from the service. The lack of clarity in these extra fees felt underhanded as they weren't explained. They also refused to unload the truck until I had paid, holding my goods hostage until I handed over the ridiculous amount of money they charged me. TLDR: Extensive damage to property, unfair compensation for damages, lack of communication from back office team. Over the phone, the team was great and I felt like I found amazing movers. The moving crew was nice and professional. We bought everyone lunch & even gifted one of the movers a digital camera we weren't using after he mentioned he had always wanted a similar model. Unfortunately from here things started to go wrong and we were left completely unsupported by the All My Sons team from this point.

As the last items were being brought in, we noticed damage to armchairs and our couch which had been accidentally scuffed with grease in several places. The team's iPad on-site was not working, so the completion of final paperwork had to be done over the phone. I asked for the damage claim information which I was told would be sent immediately (it wasn't, and required additional follow up). In total, several additional items were damaged. Damages included grease marks/scuffs on armchairs and an expensive couch, a broken planter, and most upsettingly a shattered brand new $1400 TV (which was packaged by the All My Sons team). We get it, these things happen — however, we trusted that the company would take care of these damages appropriately.

30 days later, we received an offer of $450 as remediation for the aforementioned damages. That doesn't cover the cost of a professional couch cleaning, let alone the brand new TV which is rendered completely unusable and had to be replaced outright. The team made it clear that the actual legal liability of the company is a mere $0.60 PER POUND. This was obviously not pointed out to us in the paperwork, which totaled several pages/signatures that were required on-site, on the clock, and prior to the team starting (despite the clock running for their time). The team also noted that we did not elect to purchase additional insurance. To my knowledge, we weren't given the option to purchase insurance. The team's iPad was broken and so some of the signatures had to be completed over the phone. I did not receive a copy of the paperwork as promised.

Ideally this information would have been sent in advance, or explained in more detail. The damage policy was not explained or we would have never agreed to this. Since reporting the damage on 8/15, I have made over 8 email follows up and received minimal contact back with absolutely no assistance or interest finding a suitable solution here. Overall our experience has been extremely frustrating and turned a great experience sour quickly. Absolutely no responsibility was taken by the back office team to rectify costly damages to our property that we trusted would be taken care of. Use a different company for your move and don't be swindled by this unfair damage policy like we were.

I called the head mover and he told me they found them on the truck and he would return them to me the next day after he got off work. He never showed and when I called the main office, he said he didn't know where the screws were. I also found other furniture that had screws missing. The head mover asked to buy our desk upstairs from us and I told him yes, as they were finishing up loading the truck, I asked him about the desk and he said his "girlfriend didn't want it." I said what about getting it from upstairs and on the truck, however there was not any room left to put the desk on the truck. So, he said he would return the next day and get it if I gave it to him for free.

I agreed, but like I said before, he was suppose to bring the bolts to the bed but didn't come the next day. I gave all this information to the main office and they apologized. "We are sorry". I'm really sick and tired of companies, just saying "we are sorry". I still don't have the bolts for my bed and none of our furniture was put back together once we got to the new location. One of the movers was on the phone telling someone "we had too much stuff". We were moving from a 2 bed 1 bath home and filled a 26 foot truck and didn't even get everything! They filled the truck in a single layer and didn't stack a thing! Would not recommend. Just terrible. Had to rent a Uhaul to finish their sloppy job. They claim you can file claims online but the link is nowhere to be found.

We had SO MANY issues with this moving company and the ENTIRE process. This move was stressful not only because it was cross country (from CT to MI) but because we were moving to be closer to my sister in college after the death of our mother. This company made it 100x worse. First, there was an issue with the office. When we called to talk initially to about us driving a Penske truck ourselves and having them pack our home and load the boxes on the truck we were told a 16’ truck was sufficient since we have a very small (only 900 square foot) home. (We opted for this because we were quoted $11,000 for them to pack and drive and unpack everything!)

My husband and I have never moved before (we moved from our first home after getting married 2 years ago, I moved from a shared apartment and my husband was living with family) and took the advice of their office staff who seemed knowledgeable when we called and gave him the inventory of our furniture and belongings. When the moving team arrived they told us that truck wasn’t big enough and they could only pack half of our items. We ended up having to rent another truck to get our entire home packed.

After packing, when we walked through the house they left trash on the floor in almost every room of the house and MISSED a lot of the art on our walls. It took us hours to finish cleaning the house after they left. (This was disappointing especially because we had bought the crew lunch since they had come from another job and we wanted to help them keep up their stamina.)

Second, once our truck was unpacked at our new home we found MANY issues. The items were not packed in labelled boxes and were not packed in any sort of organized manner, we had food items mixed in with clothes, and kitchen items mixed in with books, etc. This caused a nightmare as we unpacked and made it hard to see if we were missing anything. Several containers of food, that were damaged as they packed or packed improperly, spilled all over causing a big mess. They didn’t use most of the packing supplies we bought from Uhaul (as recommended by their office staff because it’s cheaper) and most of our things were either packed improperly or they used their own and charged us for it.

Third (and worst), was the damage and loss of our belongings. Many of the boxes were not packed properly. Our microwave had been just set on top of boxes in the truck (not bubble/paper/shrink wrapped or strapped down) and it fell and was dented badly during transport. They also broke one of our flatscreen TVs, cracked the top of a food storage container, and lost pieces of our furniture (we found some of the pieces in miscellaneous boxes - it appears if things fell off they just threw them wherever instead of gathering them up and putting them together or handing them to me as I was present the entire time). Four of my husband's watches (2 of which were expensive) were taken out of their storage boxes and STOLEN. The empty storage boxes were packed and we found them empty.

In the end, the company is REFUSING to give us any money back after we submitted a claim for our damaged and lost/stolen items. They claim we should have checked our inventory after they packed the truck – we don’t know how we could have done that before we drove the truck to MI and unloaded and unpacked it ourselves.

We are very angry and disappointed in this company. I don't know if the issues with the packing and the loss of items is because of this particular team, but the way the office staff has handled it all makes me wary of the entire company. My husband and I try to be understanding and gracious but looking back at all of this, it's just unacceptable. Save yourself (and your belongings!) the trouble and don't use this company!

After speaking with the manager and outlining the overcharges for time and fuel, the company refunded $540. Although I would have preferred to have more moving accomplished for the same cost, I am satisfied with the refund. The manager was calm and respectful even though it was obvious that I was unhappy. They also attempted to come back to the house to move additional items, but without us arranging a time in advance we weren't even at home. All in all, I probably will not use professional movers again due to the cost, but the customer service of this office would convince me to use them again in a pinch. Just be very explicit about what you expect to be done, and the total cost that might entail. Thank you.

When I originally called, the man on the phone would barely listen to what I was trying to tell me and constantly talked over me, trying to tell me what they would do, not what I wanted them to do. I was quoted $190/hr and one hrs. drive time and a cost per box to pack. When they got there they seemed surprised that they had to pack anything. They also said they finished at 5:00 when they actually finished at 3:00. Charged me $2,600. So in the end, they overcharged for time, and billed me $800 to pack about 5 boxes!!! I don't think so. Going to dispute this charge immediately.

BEWARE! What they promise is NOT what you get. I moved from Miami to Gainesville. Because I was a real estate referral, I was given a better insurance coverage and told because of that I would get their experienced movers. NOT SO! The guys showed up and the one in charge only worked for AMS one month. They did not know how to fill the truck and left so much airspace. They packed and were pulling out when I found that they had left my patio furniture. They stopped and put that on the truck and when I looked again, they had left the glass table top. As they did not take plants, I did rent a UHaul truck but had to rent a larger size to take furniture that they did not pack. A total waste of my money!

AMS did give me a $500 refund but as they were at least $1,000 more to begin with, that was a drop in the bucket. Arrival day.... the truck left around 8 AM from their Ft. Lauderdale facility and arrived in Gainesville at 3 PM. They unloaded until 7 PM and then were told to drive back to Ft. Lauderdale that night putting them back by 2 AM earliest. That cannot be legal! I will say the guys worked hard but their inexperience left a hole in my leather sofa, they did not screw my bed together and the pegs almost broke when it came apart.

I had a pull-out sofa, which I had told Brett (AMS salesperson I had). The guys had not experience taking or putting it back together and it was not done correctly aside from the guys having inappropriate tools. ANOTHER BEWARE....get a copy of the contract beforehand. Any arbitration is out of TEXAS so it is not worth filing a claim even if you have one, unless you are in Texas. DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THEIR CONFIDENCE NOR THE MONEY. YOU WILL NOT GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR!

Two months prior to move, called several companies to get quotes for:

    1. Packing only
    2. Moving only

    3. Packing and moving

After getting quotes, selected All My Sons for the packing only. I talked with Chase ** on several occasions to ensure that the days were straight and that the services would be packing only. Chase had done a Zoom call walk-through to provide the quotes. He was informed that all boxes and paper were already purchased, that labor would be the only requirement. The original quote from June 17, 2022, was a guaranteed not to exceed $1448.35. Then, on the Sunday evening before the AM Monday pack appointment, I suddenly get a flurry of text messages and calls saying that a new signed quote is required by the office manager, one which now has higher hourly labor charges, plus fuel charges, plus an additional laborer, plus additional materials – and the charge has risen to over $2200!!

I called Chase, who said that was just a top charge, not what would be charged, but the paperwork needed to be redone for some reason; “just sign and we will straighten out later”. I now had less than 15 hours before the packing should begin, so took Chase at his word and signed. On Monday morning, 4 male packers arrive. I informed them that all materials were in the garage – small, medium, large boxes plus dish boxes plus wardrobe boxes. Tape and paper were in the rooms already. I told them that I might not have enough tape, so would expect that charge at sign out. What was really charged later turned out to be: 5 dish packs @ $14; 4 wardrobes @ $17; 5 mattress bags (even though only two mattresses were in house and neither were in a bag!); 11 other boxes in various sizes, and 25 lbs of newsprint even though unopened paper was still remaining in rooms!

I rarely complain or leave bad reviews but if you're considering any type of move, DO NOT use All My Sons Moving & Storage. Their sales team and movers are great, but if you have a claim with them you'll be shocked at how atrocious their customer service is. Trying to even get them to respond is worse than getting a root canal. And don't even bother trying to talk to a manager because they won't return messages! Anyway, we're left with a ruined antique piece of furniture, and barely any compensation. I also noticed that you can't leave reviews on Google, Facebook or any social channels so they obviously know they have a problem. I appreciate you sharing this with your network as I've never experienced such awful service.

I was told by the dispatch it was a $100 deposit to book them yesterday and $229 a hour one hour minimum. The woman said she was training so I assume I was given the wrong information… One of your dispatchers called me this morning on August 6th 2022 at 6:53 am to confirm everything and he was fast talking me and said my total would be $820 before offloading into my storage unit all I had was 3 small couches and 3 tables. I told him no that’s not what I was told on the phone and the woman said she was training yesterday that took my deposit. I said I would like to cancel that then and HE JUST HANG UP ON ME WHILE I WAS SPEAKING!!

He proceeded to call back at 7:04 am and said “come on you can’t be serious can you?” YES THAT'S THE MISINFORMATION I WAS GIVEN YESTERDAY! You need to train your employees better as he was extremely rude and go back and listen to that call. My phone number is **. As a result I hang up on him I will not be disrespected! I want my $100 deposit back and I will never EVER use this company as that was HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE from beginning to end in my experience just on the phone alone. -Chalon **

Worst consumer experience ever had. Cost went up 300% from initial quote. Non disclosure of CC surcharge. Charged for packing material never used. Dryer broken it appears. Company rep Pamela ** spoke sneeringly when concerns voiced at final billing… I was ‘wasting time’ and until paid, items would not be unloaded from truck. First off let me warn you about their coverage policy. Be SURE you spend a little extra money and get the insurance. When we got to that part to sign, we asked more detailed information on how it worked. The lead mover told us it was $750 for full coverage. That is not entirely true. Per their agreement you sign, $750 is the example used in the document, which would cover $30,000. It's only $25 per $1000 to ensure your stuff. Spend the extra $25-75 bucks to cover what will get damaged. We only moved 5 miles and it took them nearly 8 hours to move us. It cost us over $2000.

They broke our Maytag washer and dryer which are now unusable. Because their policy is to not repair anything and leave everything wrapped until you receive their settlement offer, we had to go and buy another washer and dryer. It took them 10 days to respond with an offer. Also broken were 2 lamps, one was a vintage ornate lamp. They broke the leaf to our dining room table, tore the bed lining off a new box spring, dented the side of our new Samsung refrigerator and scratched the facing of it. Offering .60 cents a pound to move you is unrealistic. No one should have to worry about moving much less damaging items you entrusted to their care. They did over $1500 of damage on top of charging us over $2000. If that sounds like a good deal go ahead and use them.

Stay Away And Be Aware! We booked All My Sons over 2 months before our move and paid a $500 deposit. We were moving on a Sunday and needed the crew to come first thing in the morning. We asked multiple times and multiple people if they would have a crew. They all said "Yes, absolutely! We work all days of the week". A few weeks before the move we reached out to confirm we were still on the schedule and had an 8:00 am crew arrival. We told we were set. We had a coordinator come out on Thursday before the scheduled move to do a final walk-through and estimate. Once again we confirmed that they were coming on Sunday with an arrival between 8:00-9:00 am.

On Sunday morning, we never heard anything and at 9:00 am we call to see where the crew was. We were told by the local manager that the crew overslept. Then we texted the coordinator and she said she would call the office. No one got back to us so we called the National Sales Rep who we worked with to book All My Sons. He wouldn't answer our calls. Then the coordinator stop answering our calls. Finally, at 11 am the local manager finally answered our call and said they weren't coming and "all their crews called out". All My Sons not only no showed us on a scheduled move but they also weren't even going to call us and tell us. They also weren't going to give us our deposit back till we disputed it. No one from the company has reached out to apologize or see what they can do to make it better.

I was told no and to please just have plenty of cold, bottled water in the fridge, which I did. The crew arrived and first thing out of their mouth upon entering is how hot it is. They left. AMS sent a second crew, same thing. I was left hanging twice in one day by these clowns. Look at their reviews in the BBB website too. HORRIBLE company! I don't know how they are still in business. Please, save yourself a world of hurt and grief and DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER this joke of a moving company/circus. Life is hard enough without fools making it harder.
