I visited the Great Clips-Sharon Greens @ Cummings, GA. The stylist was Halecha. This was my 1st visit to this location as wait time was less. I am extremely dissatisfied the way she handled me and my 10 yrs. old son. 1st: She did not pull the chair down, so that my son can get easily. She was standing and looking while my son somehow managed to get to the chair. 2nd she asked, go and sit at the front and did not allow me to look at the haircut. In last 13 yrs 1st time somebody said that I cannot stand & look at the haircut. While I was sitting at the front, I saw another stylist who called the kid's mom to check if everything was OK. So I kept waiting that Halecha will call me as well. Which she NEVER DID. Well of course only 1 difference, the other KID was ** & mine was not. Not sure if that matters in this location. I will never use this facility again. Very bad experience.

Tonight my husband and our son went to GREAT clips for a haircut. Our son is 13 years old and knows what he wants. He asked for 3 inches on top and the number 1 on the sides. Well she used a number 1 all the way around. When he comes home my son was scratching his head and his head is completely red rash! I took pictures! I asked my son if she got the comb and razor out of the solution and he said it was laying on the table... No solution! I am so angry right now I will see the manager tomorrow morning! The girl lied and said my son asked for the number 3 all the way around, with a smirk on her face.

I called for an appointment on phone and received confirmation on phone for haircut. Upon arrival so was asked to be seated. Waited for almost 30 minutes for my turn. Then the lady came and informed me that she cannot take me for haircut since she can only accommodate 2 in the interest of time and invited two other persons who checked in online.
Upon questioning she said that they don't guarantee phone appointments except online check-ins. This was news to me. I wasted 1 hour of my time today for the entire episode visiting this branch. Please do not trust phone appointment confirmation with this franchise. The employees were arrogant while responding to customer concern. Stay away from it...

Got my haircut at one Great Clips but when I got home my girlfriend tells me that across the back it's one inch higher on the right side than it is on the left side. Not wanting to go back to the same Great Clips I went to another one and explained the problem to the lady and asked if she could just even it up in the back and specifically said it should only take a minute. So she puts me in the chair, grabs some shears and before I know it she is shearing the front side of my head. I again said in the back please and kept pointing to the back but now she has hacked the side of my hair and has to even it up on the other side and continues cutting more and more hair. The place had no other customers and the other I could see the other haircutter in the mirror with a stunned look on her face.
Apparently this lady doesn't understand English and must have thought I said I wanted an inch taken off all over. I don't know what she was thinking. So she gets done and I kept telling her that I wanted the guarantee but she tried to charge me for a full haircut. I again show her my receipt so she says ok neck trim? $6.99... I couldn't believe my ears. Again I said guarantee NO CHARGE!! So she finally rings it up for a full haircut and then a refund for 'Redo' so $0.00 balance. I said thank you and left. Get home to find out my hair is 3/8ths of an inch higher on the right side than on the left side. ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. I had my girlfriend trim it so it is even across the back which is what I should have done in the first place. I'm not happy now because my hair is way too short and looks bad but I'm not going back again.

The man was very unprofessional. Barely washed my hair (the back of my hair was greasy once my hair dried), used cold water and towards the end of the shampoo the warm water came! After the shampoo, he just placed the towel on my hair and did not squeeze them. I have mid-long hair. I just needed to cut an inch or so. He cut more or less what I asked him. He showed me the back of my hair with the mirror (no smile, no comments...), started to remove the robe, I touched my hair and they were dripping with water! I looked at him meaning "Don't you think you should do something?" He grabbed the hair dryer and pretended to dry them. The whole experience was a disaster. I should not have to pay for someone who obviously was not trained to be a hair dresser and who knows nothing about customer relationship!

I went to Great Clips located at Skibo Rd in Fayetteville NC. I paid with my credit card but the wrong amount was put in. The manager caught it and stated that she had the amount reversed back to my card and she put in the right amount. The next day I checked my account and found that it was in the negative, I look at the account and found that Great Clips charged my account for both amounts. I went to see the manager. She called corporate and they informed her that it takes 6 to 10 days to return your money, your money not theirs. I informed that manager that was BS because Great Clips was quick to take my money but slow to return it. It's my money not Great Clips' that they took. Well congratulations you just lost two customers and I will be sure to tell anyone who listens not to use their credit cards if they go to any Great Clips.

Fritz had only one purpose when I sat in his chair. I believe it was how quickly can I get this guy (me) hair cut and get another person in my chair. He appeared not to listen to me when I told him what I wanted. He went for the electric clippers, even though I said I wanted scissors. I had to remind him I wanted scissors. He tugged on my hair over and over as he cut and cut. I had to remind him all I wanted was a trim. I ended up with so much more than a trim. My hair is so very short it spikes. Never again for me Great Clips with Fritz.

I got a coupon in the mail for a $6.99 haircut at GreatClips and decided to go there. The place itself was nice, but the lady who did my hair was the most condescending stylist I have ever encountered. I'm currently growing out a pixie cut (I was so, so so close), so I asked for the back/bottom area of my hair to be trimmed because it gets rather unruly. She immediately told me trimming my hair was stupid if I wanted to grow it out, despite every other hair stylist I've gone to saying that trimming the area I described was the best way to grow it out. Her tone was extremely condescending throughout the entire session. She began to cut my hair, not-so-quietly judging me as she did so.
About halfway through she paused and was like "Do you ever use product? Leave in conditioner...? Anything? Cause your hair is really, REALLY dry. Like, REALLY dry." My hair is far from dry, as my other stylists and myself have observed over the past 10 years. After that, she continued to cut higher up my head. And higher. And higher. Till she cut almost right up to the very top of my head. Mind you, I had only CLEARLY asked for the bottom couple of inches to be trimmed, but she somehow thought I wanted the bottom 6 inches cut.
Now my almost-grown pixie is shorter than it was initially. And, the area I actually wanted trimmed wasn't trimmed to the length I wanted. The entire back of my head was one length. I have a flat head, so now the back of my head looks like a box. She kept the front and sides of my hair untouched, so it looks like I have a reverse mullet. AFTER she cut all my hair off, she mentioned again how getting my hair cut was anti-productive for growing it out, at which time I almost lost it. I'm very timid though, and would never ** out someone in public.
Anyways, after commenting again on my stupid request and my "dry" hair, she took me to pay and the haircut cost $10.99. $10.99. Even though I gave her the coupon for a $6.99 haircut. She then insisted I include a tip. Again, I'm not a confrontational person, so I just let it all happen. I shouldn't have paid for that. I should have at least been able to get the 6.99 cut I was promised. The $6.99 cut that possessed me to step foot in that hell hole.
The other workers seemed fine with their clients, I just got the bad one. I've never had a haircut make me cry, but this one surely did. I can't look in a mirror or touch the back of my head right now cause I hate it so much. I'm now investing in a wig till it grows out. I've been put back several months now and I'm sick of growing it out. I was so close to getting to a length I wanted. So, thanks GreatClips. Thanks sooo much. I'll never be setting foot in any of your salons ever again. Gladwin Rd. location in Abbotsford. Worker looked mid-40s, with tattoos and burgundy spiked hair. Definitely NOT worth the coupon. Especially since it didn't even work.

I have been a customer at the LaGrange, GA Great Clips for years. Lately every time I go in for a hair cut the stylist who is also the manager of both stores in LaGrange (Kim **) has been very haughty and tells me not to mess with my hair until she gets through with it! My hair is very thin on top and I don't like it to be brushed back with thin bangs and every time I try to get her to brush it to the side to cover the thinness she acts like it's a problem and it is embarrassing the way she tries to treat me like a child (I am 72 years old). I know she says she has been a manager for 15 year or so but she need to be more aware of her customers and what they want than how long she has been a manager!!
She is the only person at Great Clips that have treated me that way in all the years that I have been going. And it's not only me, she was rude to my friend that was with me as well when she ask her to texturize her hair. (She told her that she would if she thought it needed it.) What happened to what the customer wants and feels????

Cut it to the shoulders was what we asked them to do. And this is what they did made my 16 year old daughter look like a boy with that cut. And yes like some others have said. They do not listen and Claire the manager rude and immature. Their attitude is "it's just a haircut it'll grow back." Try thinking about it from a 16 year old girl's view. Unless it grows back overnight. That will not work. Ladies and girls run from this place and the 30 other Great Clips in Orlando, FL since they are all owned by the same guy. I would not trust them with my cat's hair. They screwed it up and tried to give me parenting advice. Claire also hung up on my daughter when my daughter tried to call her about it. What kind of person would do that.

I have gone to the local Great Clips many times over the last two years. This past week is the last time! I have had some good cuts, some mediocre cuts and many bad cuts. I never knew which girl would be there and most often saw an entirely new person each time. This time I told the girl that I wanted only 1/2 inch off the top and no skin showing over my ears. I got 2.5 in. off the top and 1/4 in. around the ears. The girl answered the phone and instructed a new girl how to run the register during my cut. Because she absolutely ignored my instructions, I will find a new barber. If you want cheap, that is what you get.

I specifically asked the girl to trim my hair and not cut it too short because it is getting colder outside now. Guess what? I walked out of the place with a very short haircut. So short in the back that it looks like a man's haircut. I asked her to thin out the sides because they were too bushy and didn't lay right. She just cut the hair and didn't thin it out or shape it, so my hair sticks out now. I can't even get a small roller in the top of my hair!!! I WILL NEVER EVER GO THERE AGAIN, AND I DEFINITELY WILL NOT RECOMMEND THAT PLACE TO ANYONE ELSE!!!

Got a haircut there at the St. Joseph location in Cullman. Told the girl I just wanted a trim. I almost had to draw her a picture of what a trim was. She pulled out the big clippers and started from the bottom giving me whitewalls. In the back she clipped down to the skin 2 inches above my hairline. Everybody that come in was staring at me and my stupid haircut. I was pretty upset when I got out and felt the back of my head. I'm wearing a ball cap now. I cannot even comb my hair anyway like it needs to be. They want these girls to do quickies with clippers cause it's faster than scissors. Lady had a young boy getting a haircut next to me. They got done and left. While I was still in the chair she brought him back in cause the girl missed a big spot on the back and had to redo it. Stay away from these chain cutters who try to make a lot of money while giving you a haircut you could do by yourself. Also the girl smelled like a cig that cut my hair.

I had my haircut this morning by Ivy. We discussed how much I wanted cut. I showed her. It was well below my shoulders by at least 2 inches. I said I wanted 3 or 4 inches cut off. She seemed to understand. She cut the back of my hair. She showed me in the mirror. I looked. I said, "It is way too short but it isn't like you can put it back on." She had to cut the rest of my hair. When she was done the front wasn't even but at this point I was done and angry. I shouldn't have paid but I did. I asked for a refund. She said I would have to talk to the owner. So I left my name and number and why I needed a refund. I was given a card from the salon. Gateway Center West Bloomfield MI. There is an email on the card that doesn't work. I went to the corporate website and called the corporate office and made a complaint. They said the owner would call me.
I called the salon back to tell them that the email that was on the card doesn't work and Ivy who happened to answer the phone said the manager was there. I went back to the salon to speak with the manager about a refund. She was less than helpful. I explained I wanted a refund and that my hair was much shorter than agreed upon and it was uneven. She said she would have to review the tapes but since I got my haircut I couldn't get a full refund. I am pretty sure they don't have cameras. She offered me a $2 discount card. I said I was never going to return to the store and I wanted a full refund. She couldn't do that. I said you can give me $2 then. She gave me $2. She then asked me to leave. I said No. My hair is ruined. She then went to the door and opened it and threatened to have me removed. I did leave. I should have stayed and have the police remove me. I will never return. Terrible customer service and a horrible haircut.

I was employed by Great Clips and in one day I pretty much got the jest of it. It has a typical 1980's working structure. Minimize costs, maximize output at the expense customer satisfaction, product outcome and employee welfare. This company expects 15 minute haircuts, while answering phone calls for appointments and greeting customers. No front desk help just the cosmetologist taking time out of her productivity quota to input walking customer's information on the computer/cash register area in the front of the shop.
Cosmetologist are also expected to sell a minimum quota of products that are priced high. The typical customers to these type of store are from low middle class background and usually cannot afford these products. You cannot close the cash register until 9 pm, so by the time money is reconciled and tips sorted out it is usually 930. 30 minutes that are not paid. THEN one has to follow another cosmetologist to drop off money at a "nearby" bank. Again unpaid 20 minutes, unpaid gas mileage. These people want their cake and eat too. In the one I was employed at, starts you off at $7.50 per hour plus tips... So they do not use the percentage system used in most hair salons. I would say it would be a good place for a new cosmetologist, just out of school. It would get their haircut speed up and start with the worst place to work. Everything else will be a breeze after that.

They wrote back the next day and said they were sorry but it was a franchise and they didn't really care. I've waited a week and of course the franchisee has not made contact. I used to go to Great Clips at Round Rock, Texas. Just to accompany my friend who lives at Jollyville, I went to 10001 Research Blvd Austin today around 2 pm. The price seems pretty cheap and I had a coupon which should also lower the price. The haircut was quick enough, although not what I expected - simply what a less experienced lady can do. When paying, the lady was so quick - she didn't hear when I was asking to use my coupon and just printed a new coupon with the receipt. Unfortunately, I paid $3 tips for this bogus service. I found my friend using another coupon. Then I asked why she didn't consider my coupon. The reply was "I can't guarantee, but let me try".
The lady who cut my hair and billed for me, seemed very expert in refunding and re-billing with my coupon. After 10 minutes, I got "sorry, we cannot do anything... there is no option for refund because you paid by credit card... Next time bring this receipt... Here is the next time coupon..." I just left with "I don't need this receipt". My question is - how ridiculous system you are using, which only knows how to get money, doesn't know how to adjust/refund? Why the employees are so quick, and don't hear about the customers before using this bogus system - are you paying them less because you are taking less from customers?

Went into Great Clips on 44th street Friday afternoon for haircut June 5th and asked if I had signed in online and I said I did not as I was unaware that's how you get served. She wrote me on a list the 5th one on the list and she said 15 minutes wait as there were 3 people who had signed in online. I waited and waited as people came in and were served. I figured finally after about 25 minutes where I was on the line and was told there were others that had come in who had signed in and she had no idea how much longer. One guy told me he drove into the parking lot and signed in... came in and was served. Next a lady came in with 5 kids and they started doing the kids immediately.
Again I asked how much longer and the lady at the cash register looked around and said she didn't know as one of the operators had left for lunch. So I inquired why I had to wait so long when people came in after me were waited on already. She told me I need to sign in online to get quicker service. You got to be kidding me. Now I was there a lot longer. She told me there is an app on my phone I should download and always use that. I am 78 years old and don't use apps or know how. I also thought because I was a senior woman they brushed me off as everyone exception of one young gal were all males. I am sure they thought they could get them done earlier than work with me. I have gone there ever since they opened and have never been treated so bad.

Since I am a leukemia survivor and needed a simple hair trim and am a Great Clips customer for years, I thought that was good timing and would go get my hair trimmed June 7, 2016. I called the phone number of one of the stores on the list and reached Eric the manager of the Crown Point salon. He told me since I live in Schererville but usually go to the Merrillville salon that I could go there since it was closer. He said that Great Clips was a sponsor of this and that all Great Clips should be honoring this day!
I just happened to call the Merrillville Great Clips to make sure they were participating, and they told me that they (franchise Dyer, Schererville, & Merrillville) were not participating. I found this VERY discouraging, especially since two of those salons are who I give all of my business. I feel that this franchise owner is NOT PROFESSIONAL OR UNDERSTANDING!! Also, since BOTH my daughter and I go to the Merrillville salon and pay regular price most times, I have another fact that shows he/she is not very nice or deserving of repeat customers... once I came to the Merrillville salon with a coupon that expired only 1-2 days ago because I had been out of town, and they would NOT even let me use it.
Most businesses are more understanding especially for repeat customers that you want to come back!! Very disappointed in this franchise of Great Clips!!! IF GREAT CLIPS IS ONE OF THE SPONSORS OF THIS CANCER SUPPORT DAY, THEN DEFINITELY ALL GREAT CLIP SALONS SHOULD BE INCLUDED!!

It is accepted as proof that you are a veteran and they ask for your driver's license for proof that you are who you say you are. Why doesn't Great Clips recognize the Legion card as proof?
On top of this I am a regular customer with Great Clips in Elk River. As a veteran I felt very disrespected. I could prove I was a veteran, just not with the paperwork they were asking me to produce. Great Clips Frisco Marketplace November 5th, 6pm. The lady was not only rude and disrespectful but very unprofessional. I don't know if I need to mention that she didn't smile -- ONCE! I showed her reference picture from her own book. She spent only a few min working on my hair and then she said she was done (so obviously rushing to get to the next customer). "Haircut" looked uneven and chopped and not what I asked for at all!! She seemed so annoyed when I tried to ask her to fix it and after another few min, and next thing I see ---she just shaved my head to almost bald. What a terrible place! Terrible service and THE MOST TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I would never consider to go to Great Clips after that ever again and I won't recommend this place to anyone!

My husband went there for the first time and came home with the worse haircut that I have ever seen. Long pieces hanging down in the back on one side and neckline not trimmed. And he was asked box or tapered in the back. He said tapered and she cut it box. The whole thing was unreal how it looked. A five year old could had done better. It's so close to our house that he thought he would give it a try. Well, that was the first and last trip.

My husband went in for a haircut (usually takes 5-10 minutes). He only had to wait 5 minutes for his name to be called. The girl took 45 minutes to cut his hair. As I was sitting there waiting, I watched about 20 people come and go (quick haircuts, paid and out the door - oh and by the way I had my son's hair cut too while we were stuck waiting for her to get done). As I sat there I got more and more irritated since his usual haircuts only take between 5 and 10 minutes. By the time my husband was done, he walked up to the register to pay and he had a ton of little pieces of cut hair all over his face. The girl didn't even clean him up or give him a towel to wipe his own face off (I don't know much about cutting hair...but the cleaning up after the haircut is common sense, I don't believe that is something you need to learn in hair-cutting school).
Great Clips at Shadle Center Spokane WA. I was mad at this point and said to her "do you think maybe you could give him something to wipe his face off?" She just looked at me with this confused look and "oh sure" like she had no clue what I was talking about. So after he cleaned himself up (and had to have her fix a portion of his hair that was cut wrong... taking another 5 minutes), we were ready to pay. I handed her two $2.00 off coupons. She rang me up and we left (not saying a word about this while we were in the store by the way, I didn't want to embarrass her or my husband). I asked my husband when we left if she was new or something and he said yes, that it was her first day. I pulled the receipt out of my purse to call the manager when we got to the car and saw that she had charged us full price (for the crappy job/service) and that she only used one of the $2.00 off coupons (and kept the other one).
I was so mad at this point... I told the manager that I understand that everyone needs to learn and that it may take someone who is first learning 45 minutes to cut one person's hair. But we didn't have 45 minutes to spend in Great Clips...we need to be somewhere and now we were going to be late. Since she is the manager I feel like she should let people know that she was new and that the haircut might take a little longer than what they might be used to. That way if the customer didn't have 45 minutes to wait while she practiced, then maybe they could wait another minute or two for someone who is faster.
I told her that I would like a refund on his haircut only (I was totally fine with paying for my son's haircut). I felt like that was fair and for the fact that I didn't make a scene in the store and waited to talk to her on the phone. She told me that she was not authorized to give out free haircuts or do any refunds. She told me that she could contact her corporate office and call me back. I was fine with that.
She called me back the next day and told me that the only thing she was send me a $6.99 coupon in the mail for the next time we wanted to come in for a haircut. I told her that I do not think that is fair given everything that we had just discussed the day before. I told her not to bother, we will go somewhere else and I would post my review about our experience. She told me that I was rude for posting a negative review and that I should be happy with my $6.99 coupon. I will never go to this Great Clips again and I hope whoever is reading this will not either!!

She also gave me bangs without my consent. I've always disliked this location due to another terrible hair cut, but I was told it was new people, but I guess it's the same terrible service.

What really upset me was when she stated that she thought I didn't want my sideburns and before I could utter the words "yes I do", she cut my right side off. I repeated trim only to the lady stylist. After she finished my hair was chopped - I had one length hair all over. I never said layers. I wouldn't do that because for almost 2 years I've been growing it out. I called the salon from the parking lot and all they said was that they'd tell the stylist. I called corporate headquarters and they said they would call the owner of the salon. That was 3 hours ago and I haven't heard from them yet. It's a huge deal to me! I then proceeded to tell the haircutter how I wanted his haircut. When they called my 5 yr old and I asked him again if he wanted his haircut and he said yes, so he proceed to go to the seat.
All of a sudden the haircutter started yelling so loud "is this the boy that vomit!!?" "No!!" "I refuse to cut his hair!", "John, I refuse to cut that boy's hair!", the salon was full. So just imagine my embarrassment. I understand that they don't want the child to vomit again, but my issue is that she could have told discreetly instead of yelling it out so the whole world could hear. There are a few instances where a business large or small, has a chance to really make their customers feel valued. Well, this is not one of them. Ok, so the app to sign in is pointless since they will simply skip you for the next walk in. I signed in. I didn't know that it was cash only due to an error with their register. I was early and checked in. I noticed the cash only sign and informed the lady I would be right back. I walked next door to the ATM and was back in 4 min, only to be told that the lady who walked in right before me, who had not checked in and was earlier told would most likely have to wait about an hour had been put in my place.
When I returned I asked if I had been skipped. Her reply was matter of fact and careless, "Oh, yeah, well you weren't here." To which I replied, "But I told you would be right back, and I would have been if I didn't have to go get cash." She replied by simply quoting to me that it was policy to take first come first serve. Yet as I waited. Another gentleman walks in and had checked in. He checks in at the desk and is immediately taken to get a haircut. What happened to policy, and first come first serve. I was there before that guy. So what gives. I'm not disturbed by being passed over what I'm disturbed by is her seemingly unapologetic attitude and her willingness to make me feel as a customer insignificant. No attempt to try and work with me. I as a customer am doing you a favor by signing in on an app and letting you know I will be there, and that I am a loyal and regular customer, the least you can do is make me feel like a valued customer.

I really like Great Clips. I have been about 4 or 5 times. The last time I went, which was about 4 or 5 days ago, I had a bad experience. Every time I go I ask for about a 1 - 1 1/2 inch trim on the top. On the back I square it. Over the ear and my sides (Idk how to explain -- only a teen, not a professional, in hairstyles) cut the excess hair so that it looks like a square and the line then follows up to my forehead.
Everything goes good during the haircut. She did what I asked (I thought) and in the end I was satisfied with my haircut. But after the usual shower after a haircut I straighten out my hair to see if they did the cut right, only to find out that the left side of my hair is about a 1/2 inch longer than my right! The sides and the back were fine but I could not believe what happened to my top!
After I get a sibling to cut the difference I am satisfied. Only today while I was combing my hair I find that the back half of my top had not been touched!!! I told her I wanted an inch to half inch on the top. It was not touched at all!!! I was very unsatisfied to find that not only my left side had been messed up but that also the half of my top had not been touched!!! Very unsatisfying to me since I am a teen and looks are everything. Prominence Point, Canton, Georgia 30114 from what I know. Never returning to Great Clips again.

I can't speak for every gentleman in these United States, but when somebody makes either my daughters or my wife upset & sad, I'm going to come looking for answers or settlement. Anyway, the lady cutting my wife's hair was clearly in a hurry. Strike 1. She left scraggly (long… 5"-6") stray hairs. Strike 2. She made a very clearly uneven cut, and went way shorter than she was instructed to. Strike 3, you're out.
As I type, my dearest wife sits in the 'salon' chair, 15' in front of me, through the window. At least they agreed to fix it. I'm torn between asking for a refund, or at least a free future cut ticket/voucher. Bottom line: Places of this ilk are a crapshoot. Some are home to extremely competent, motivated individuals who take pride in their work. Others… not so much. Proceed with caution.

But when I got home I had hair on the right side of my head that was no kidding or exaggeration two inches longer than the left side. I asked her to shampoo my scalp and she says she did already. Then I said she didn't because she was on the phone and stopped washing. She gets angry and told me "too bad you don't like it then leave!!!"
She then rips out the towel from my shoulder, while my head is still in a pool of cold water soaked in the sink. She shouted at me to get out and don't bother paying. After she buzzed my whole head, left hair around my ears and in the back of head, had the nerve to ask me if I like my fade now. I told "no, I don't want you to touch my head ever again." Her coworker came over and offered to pay for my haircut when the door knob that cut my hair said that no one will pay for it.
So after she said that I got up out of the chair and grabbed my helmet and mumbled some words under my breath. As I was walking out the door she proceeded to tell me to go back to my barber. I would recommend any young stylist do not waste your time going to Great Clips, it's not so great.

I was terminated as a hair cutter for taking longer than the required time by great clips standards 12-17 min from greeting the customer, consultation, cut, sell products, ring up and invite the customer back. I'm a strong believer in great customer service, yet hair can not be treated as flipping a burger, as the owner would say, "We are the McDonald's of hair cuts" in and out service. At times it's not so easy to perform such a task when customers ask for certain haircuts!

It seems that 0 minute wait time is not accurate. It's either I still wait behind someone or "I'll be right with you" then they call another person up. I also have a complaint about my phone number I have. I had to give it to the person at the register 3 different occasions my number - while my name was there, my number was not? I check in with the phone I registered on website with?

It was horrendous and I am appalled at the fact that the customer service is lacking immensely! I am never impressed by how many people come to get their hair cut but I am more about what I experience myself. I came in to the Columbus, GA (Cross Country Plaza) location and was immediately greeted by the white lady and she asked me what I wanted and proceeded to tell me the pricing of each service. I agreed to have my hair "styled"! I was seen by a black woman (I am black also) and she began to ask me what kind of cut I wanted. I told her and then I told her after she cut it that I wanted my hair curled. She proceeded to tell me that I needed to get a perm and she was not going to be able to curl my hair without it being permed.
I was pissed to the max that I had to leave with my hair uncurled, embarrassed and very put off. I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK!!! I thought that when a client is asking for a service and is going to pay that, no matter how much the stylist disagrees, the client gets what he/she asks for. I have worked in Customer Service for over 20 years and I did not like the treatment I got from this stylist, made me wish the white lady had done my hair!! If I could I would give NO RATING FOR THIS COMPANY!

I am writing this review to keep people like me to be aware of Great Clips on 4135 Lavista Rd., Tucker, GA 30084. It was my first visit that made me to write this. Their customer service is OK but their job sucks. I told her (Asian lady) about using the level 2 to cut my hair, but I don't know what she used. After finishing I can see baldness on top of my head. Tried to tell her but she said that she can't do anything and if she does anything it will become worse. Next day when I went to work everyone were laughing that made me to shave the whole head. So please be careful...

Yesterday I had experienced a horrible visit at the Great Clips on NW at 154th and Penn. I was asked by one of Stylist if I wanted to work there and I knew that Stylist pretty Good and I have also worked with her before and I told her I was interested in the job, but I had told her the only problem is that I would not be able to come into the store for an interview until Monday when I get paid because I don't even have a penny to my name until I get paid and I had no gas in my car and she it should not be a problem she said if I could to the Website and fill out the Application and said Ok.
Then Probably about a hour later that Employee that I known text me and said "she wants you to in today" and I said there is no way I could today, I would have to wait until Monday when I have Gas money and she said "well she really needs somebody else to work here and she really wants to met you today and so she said I will give you some Gas Money when you get here."
I had said to her I really hope I even make there because I on I-40 and Rockwell that is a pretty good drive. So anyways I started getting ready so I could go and then she texted me and said "what time will you be here" and I said probably 2 o'clock. At this moment until I can save up some money for a car because my car finally just would not work anymore. Well my fiance said "I need to use the truck really quick before you" and I told "do not be any later than 2 o' clock." So then I text her and said "what time is your Manager leaving" and she said 3 o'clock so I asked her if I don't leave my house until 2 o'clock and she said that was ok.
So then I started heading there and I was going to be a little bit earlier than I thought. When I got there I saw the employee I knew and I said "where is your Manager" and she said she said in the back room and she just knock on the door for her. I felt very uncomfortable doing that so I meet the Manager and she barely said Hi and said "here is an Application go ahead and fill it out and give it back to me."
So I started on my Application and then I had noticed that when I was filling out my Application that employee and the Manager were in the back room alone and they closed the Door and that made me feel very uncomfortable and during my process of completing my Application, that Employee came out of the back room about 4 times and kept asking me if I was almost and the Manager never came and checked on me. I really felt like that Employee was trying to be the manager and I have never went to a store to fill out an application and was rushed like that so I didn't get to give my full attention to my Job Application and that really upset me and almost made me feel like is this a Joke. This is so unprofessional and the last time the Employee ask me if I was done I said I have 2 questions left.
It will be a minute so then I went headed to the back room to where they were and only Manager walked out and I handed her my Application and I had asked her, "Where was that Employee at," and she said she already left she had class and I said "O my Gosh she was suppose to help me out with gas money so I could get home" and the Manager acted liked she really did not care and she said "I am sorry I don't have enough time to give you an interview today but can you come in Tomorrow for an interview," when I just told her I did not know how I was going to get home.
So then I went outside and I tried to call that Employee several times and it kept going to voicemail so then I texted her and she said "oh I forgot" and I have to get to and she did not even tell me that she had to go to class, so then I told her I don't have any gas to get Home so I am going to have to walk and she said "you should of not took so long on your Application," then I said to her "why didn't you tell me you had to go and just give gas money then, and want is really Fishy to me is I never saw her leave. She went out the back door so for some reason she did not want me to see her leave.
Then she said "I am at 7-11 if you want to meet me here" so I told her "we were headed there" and when we got there she was not there and only took me About 2 minutes to get there so I called her and she did not answering. So I texted her and begged her and now I am going to have to walk home and I just found out from my Doctor I have Lupus and I told her a couple days ago I had it and it is very painful, some days I get hardly get out of bed and I told her I can't a whole lot with my Lupus.
So we waited for about a hour to see what we were going to do, a my truck would not even drive so we had no choice but walk. We walked almost 5 miles until somebody picked us up and helped us and I barely walk anymore and I was running a 103 temperature because that is a symptom of Lupus. I was really excited about this Job and I was so excited to go up there and fill out my Application and meet the Manager and Maybe get a Job.
I am so Hurt, Humiliated, just so Embarrassed, and never imagined something like this happening to me when I am going to fill out an Application. I think the Manager is so unprofessional because I told her what that Employee was going to and she acted like she didn't even care and didn't ask if I need a ride home. I just never imagined that going to a job interview would land me almost in the Hospital. I could not even really walk and I was running a high temperature. I should of went and got checked but I was so upset about what happened I just wanted to go home.
I am in the Process of Contacting the news Channel so this can be on TV so people are aware of Cruel acts by An Employee and the Manager and her the whole time I was there. They were in the back room with the door closed and it was just them two. I just wanted you guys to be aware what you are getting yourself into with that Employee. I have worked with her - me and her worked together at Smartstyle inside Walmart and she got fired for stealing.
She stole from Walmart and the Walmart Security came into our store and said she needed to go to the office so they could talk to her and she grabbed her purse fast and ran outside to her car and Walmart said "if she ever comes back here we are going to Arrest" and she stole from Wal mart when she was clocked in with Smartstyle and she was stealing from the store all the time because they do not have cameras and she was selling Drugs there and she had already been to Prison for Drug Trafficking. She is just trouble and I just don't want you guys to get stolen from. If anybody ever ask about Great Clips I will always tell them about what happen. I just cannot believe this happened to me, I feel like I am in a nightmare.

That is the last time I am going there, they DO NOT deserve the name "Great" Clips. The people were rude and messed up my hair. The last time I cut my hair for donation was at a different place. I have been experiencing bullying in the work place by my EX Manager **. It all started in December when I tried calling in sick. She told me that it wasn't allowed, that if I wasn't in the store for my shift there would be consequences. (Note: She was off that day, fully capable of covering she just didn't want to.) - Beginning of January some things happened and I ended up in jail for three days. I had my mother call the store and let them know I wasn't going to be in those three days. From what I was told, the shifts had been covered and I was to return that following Monday.
After hearing I was released (same night) I was asked if I would be coming into work. I told her “no because I was told the shifts had been covered and it wasn't a big deal.” However, I could sense attitude. When I returned to work, ** took me into the office and wrote me up for missing those three days of work. Said I didn't have a doctor’s note. (Of course I didn’t, I was in jail and she KNEW I was because my mother had called.) How is that fair?
After receiving court ordered anger management classes (3 weeks) I let my Manager ** know what dates the classes were. Her first response was "well, you work that day." I told her that “it was court ordered and that I had a limited time frame to do it.” She ended up making me do a 9-3 (class was 4-6) and come back to work 7-9. I asked if there was another way she could schedule that because that was a long day. She told me no. One of my coworkers (**) had offered to work a couple more hours that day so I wouldn't have to come back after the class. Again, I was told no. Another coworker had told me (**) that ** said I deserved to have my whole day screwed up because I was "such a **" when asking for the days off.
February 2nd I go into work and was asked by a couple coworkers if I had seen the status our Manager had put on facebook about me. I told them no, but that I wanted to see the post. It read "I swear this girl is bipolar, get on some meds lady!!!" I asked how they knew it was about me. They both had conversations with ** about who it was and she told them it was about me.
(Have the screen shots) I confronted ** about it, she said it was her personal facebook, what she posts there isn't my business, that we weren't friends anyway. I told her I had felt bullied by her the last few weeks and that I wasn't going to put up with it any longer, that I wouldn't be back. She asked me if we could meet up in the morning to talk. While in the meeting, ** asked me to sign a form saying I was leaving the store. I asked her if she was firing me. She replied "No, you told me via text message you weren't coming back." I replied with “we are talking and having a meeting like you asked me to do and now you're making me quit?” She told me it wasn't up to her anymore, that she has called the regional manager and let her know I wouldn't be returning. I was asked to take all of my things and leave. (I didn't sign any exiting paperwork.)
I feel like I was forced out of that salon, I felt bullied and beat down. I worked 50hr weeks, one day off a week and were making my numbers. (Note: Manager MAYBE worked 20-30 hrs) When she was there, she would sit in the office in her tablet playing facebook games! I have pictures of schedules, some of my numbers as well to prove that I was a good employee. I honestly can't believe it is okay to treat a good employee that way.

I hate Great Clips. Every time I go there, they never do what I ask. The stylists act like they have no idea what they are doing. I went there one time and asked for a trim and they butchered my hair. Recently, I went there just to get my bangs trimmed and re-parted because I have angled bangs and my stylist cut my bangs too short, unevenly, and acted like she didn't know what to do. Now, I have to wear my bangs back because I'm too embarrassed to go out in public now. Thanks Great Clips...

I decided to try one last time and came across some reviews from those who tried their place. I was not happy with this short haircut. I specifically asked for a trim and she merely justified her work. No apology. My wife took my boy to Great Clips two weeks ago to get his hair cut and used a competitors coupon to get a better deal. When she showed the on-line coupon on her smart phone, to the hairdresser, she was told that the coupon had to be printed. After debating the topic, the hairdresser gave in and used the coupon. Today when I went to get my hair cut, my wife reminded me to take a "printed" coupon into the store. I did as I was told and even showed the coupon to the hairdresser BEFORE getting my hair cut. After the hair cut, I was informed that I could not use a "printed" coupon and that it had to be "directly from the competitor" (apparently using the competitors paper???). I was then directed to a small flyer stating that the store did not accept competitor computer generated coupons. Shame on me for not finding the small ad on the wall with 50 other advertisements. Thanks for your NOT SO Great customer service. Good bye NOT SO Great Clips.

I went to Great Clips and it was horrible.. I had spent 7 years growing my hair to my lower back. Well I went into Great Clips the first time and the lady had chopped 13 inches off which was fine. I was looking for something shorter just to get hair off, :) to feel lighter.. Well that being said she layered the one side, DIDN'T do the other side and I repeatedly asked "What about this other side?.." Well I thought she had got it done, left and went home. Come to find my hair so so so uneven, even my coworkers were shocked..
So I made another apt with I had paid for the second one too, well to get it fixed.. Well the girl just flipping chopped my hair completely off. I have hair as a guy should.. Beyond disappointed with this place. I went home and all the hair I had was gone. I was absolutely teared apart. They don't take the time to listen they just start cutting and it's not even right. On top of it they did the same thing to my boyfriend's hair, took his side burns completely OFF!!! I honestly will never recommend anyone to go there at all unless you don't care what your hair looks like. I am telling you do not go!!!

Went to Great Clips in Boardman ohio presidential square. Went to Lori who I trusted because she fixed my year one year prior after it was thinned out at Casals. Went to get my bangs trimmed and the ends dusted, then asked for a little crown height at the top of head. Well she thinned my fine long straight hair, leaving me with strands of thin dried out hair. She called it "chipping." Well why would she do that when she knows I had the same thing happen the year before and I was sick over it. It took over a year to grow and she destroyed it once again. Never trust anyone at great clips with your hair.

I visited your Epps Bridge Rd location in Athens, GA. Note, this is my first time at any Great Clips. ** is the stylist that cut my hair. In fact, she's been my stylist for the last five years. I trust her with my scalp and hair. I will follow her to any salon she works. However, the way I was treated by management and another stylist was ridiculous and disgusted me. I have never been so humiliated and had an employee humiliated in front of me.
First of all, I came in with a wig on my head merely because I had just got off from work and didn't want to do my hair prior to going. As ** shows me to my sit another stylist comes to me and ** and tells us "Oh, we can't cut weave. My manager says you can't cut her hair." I tell this stylist "I'm not getting my weave cut, I just got off from work. Why would you assume I'm getting weave cut?" I told her to get the facts before assuming things and to inform her manager of that as well.
Me, being a manager at a financial institution know you should never make judgments until you get the facts. At this time, I'm upset but not too bothered. Once I took my wig off, ** combed my hair out. I guess she seen me with this distraught look in my face. She asked me if I was to proceed? I told her yes. She keep apologizing for what this other stylist told me. I asked her if she could wash my hair before she cut it... Because again I had just got off work and had been sweating...
Second incident... All in this one visit. I'm an ** woman who has a lot of hair and it's curly. Note I told you earlier, I asked ** to wash my hair. So she has to dry it to curl. So what do she do... she picks up the blow dryer and a brush (because there's no Concentrator on the blow dryer) to dry my hair. Once my hair is dried, she cuts it in the style I asked for and tells me to go home flat iron it straight and I'll be set. We go to the register to check out and I get charged for a cut and a style, because she used a brush to blow dry my hair for a cut... $26.99. WHY? Are your salons not intended to do ** hair? Maybe my hair was "**" enough...
Any way, the manager comes to the front and says she picked up the brush and it's considered styling hair. So, I told **, I'm really pissed off (and know she is as well because it wasn't told to her either) that if I'm going to pay for a style you might as well flat iron and style. Once my style was completed, I told her she don't ever have to worry about me coming here again or referring anybody here. I told her, from now on I request she do my hair outside of Great Clips and she needed to find a salon who respects her faithful clients. I also told her that She's so much better than the people she's working for.
The management here is horrible. As a manager, there's a time and place to discuss things with the employee, not via another person or in front of a waiting room full of clients. That was embarrassing for me and for my stylist. As far as customer service, maybe you need to have a class or two on that also... And one on diversity. If you have any questions feel free to call.
