I usually go to Great Clips and don't have problems as long as the older blonde woman doesn't cut my hair. Well this time I let her cut my hair due to the slim crew they have. Well she did it again! I specifically told her a light trim on top and she gave me a knuckle cut! Now I have to deal with looking like an idiot when I go to work. I am highly angry!

When I arrived, I said I wanted my hair trimmed. A young woman took a very long time to trim around the bottom of my hair. I began wondering. She acted like she was done. I have layers. I asked if she could trim up the layers. She was lifting hair like she had never touched it, snipping here and there. Kicker was she said someone had to check the cut. Another person showed her all the mistakes. More cutting. My point is I should have been told this person was in training. I was a unsuspecting customer. My hair no longer has "long" layers. I should have walked out. I have gone to Great Clips for over 10 years in Illinois, but I will not be going back here in Minnesota.

Worst hair cut ever. Wanted same haircut as the last 5 times for my son. They said they used a number 4 razor cut, so this time we asked for number 5. Even less of a cut. He got buzzed. They claim that it was a number 5 and that the lower the number, (1, 2 or 3) is even less of a cut. Not possible. This was incredibly short. Anything more would be a total buzz cut. Took no responsibility. No apologies. Terrible customer service. My son looks like he's existed in the army. DO NOT GO THERE.

The address of the store is 7380 S Rainbow Boulevard Suite 103, Las Vegas NV 89139 (Rainbow and Warmspring). I checked in my son online and entered the building. They didn't ask him if he checked in online. Later on another man entered and he did not check in online. He was called up before my son was. Then I told ** that my son checked in before the man who called up. She then just said anyway, "You are next." Anyone can make a mistake however she did not even apologize and instead just brushed me off. I really dislike that she did not apologize. Other employee apologized and help my son. I appreciate it.

So today I went to Great Clips to get my hair cut and the lady who was going to cut my hair was very difficult to deal with and she gave my family an attitude and so did the Asian lady there and I asked for 1 and half inch cut off and she cut off 4 inches and it was so choppy that I seriously started to cry because of how bad my hair was and she gave my best friend an attitude that made her hair short and raunchy. I will sue Great Clips one day for ruining my life. Thanks to them I can no longer leave my house because of how bad my hair is.

I recently went to Great needing haircut because my stylist was booked. I've been there a few times over the years. I should have known better. Every time, it is a nightmare and I leave needing a hat. They can't cut hair, I don't know where they get these people. I might as well go to the dog groomer next time. I will never go back. I'm sick after leaving there and can't face the mirror.

Half the time when I want to get a perm I can't. They either have enough scheduled or my hair dresser only is working 4 hours. I can't call more than a week in advance because they don't have schedules that far in advance. I have been a client at Great Clips for about 4-5 years and this just started since I have been going to this shop. Never had any schedule problem at the other Great Clips. So I guess I will have to take my business elsewhere.

I had the displeasure of working at the Great Clips in Hudson, Ohio for a brief time. They pride themselves on the fact that they had won "awards" from the corporation, what a complete joke. They are absolutely so unprofessional. To potential customers, they only really care if you leave a big tip and buy product. To them, you are just a number. You are simply part of their daily numbers/productivity. Most importantly, this place had a few state board violations. Brushes still having hair in them and using them on customers, old dirty Barbicide, they were warned several times by state board to keep hair from accumulating in the cups they keep their clippers in as it's horribly unsanitary. Potential customers (and potential employees), STAY AWAY. Pay the extra money to go to a professional salon, it's worth it.

Nov. 11, 2015, I went to Great Clips (Elk River) to get my Veterans Day haircut. I was turned down because I did not have a DD-214 service papers or a military ID. I am a veteran of the Vietnam era and I do not have a military ID and my discharge papers are in a safe deposit box. I carry my American Legion membership card as proof that I am a veteran. You have to be a veteran to be a member of the American Legion. They would not accept my Legion card. I was told that people had taken advantage of the offer that were not veterans in the past. I have used this card as proof at other businesses that offer services to veterans and I have never had an issue. It is accepted as proof that you are a veteran and they ask for your driver's license for proof that you are who you say you are. Why doesn't Great Clips recognize the Legion card as proof?
On top of this I am a regular customer with Great Clips in Elk River. As a veteran I felt very disrespected. I could prove I was a veteran, just not with the paperwork they were asking me to produce. If you are going to make rules you might want to understand the various ways of veteran ID. This, along with the fact that I am a regular customer, was very disappointing.

Nothing good about this location. The stylists seem to have an attitude, "This is what you get, take it or leave it"! I have had (7) different stylists cut my hair. Most haircuts were barely average, most were below. There has some stylists that come and go. No one stays for a long period of time. The stylists that have been there for a long period of time seem to be the worst. No customer service or trying to please the customer. Zip, zip, zip and you’re done! My last two haircuts were chop jobs! I would not recommend this place to anyone! Awful. 1955 Sheridan Ave., Lakewood, CO 80227

Great Clips Frisco Marketplace November 5th, 6pm. The lady was not only rude and disrespectful but very unprofessional. I don't know if I need to mention that she didn't smile -- ONCE! I showed her reference picture from her own book. She spent only a few min working on my hair and then she said she was done (so obviously rushing to get to the next customer). "Haircut" looked uneven and chopped and not what I asked for at all!! She seemed so annoyed when I tried to ask her to fix it and after another few min, and next thing I see ---she just shaved my head to almost bald. What a terrible place! Terrible service and THE MOST TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I would never consider to go to Great Clips after that ever again and I won't recommend this place to anyone!

My husband went there for the first time and came home with the worse haircut that I have ever seen. Long pieces hanging down in the back on one side and neckline not trimmed. And he was asked box or tapered in the back. He said tapered and she cut it box. The whole thing was unreal how it looked. A five year old could had done better. It's so close to our house that he thought he would give it a try. Well, that was the first and last trip.

My husband went in for a haircut (usually takes 5-10 minutes). He only had to wait 5 minutes for his name to be called. The girl took 45 minutes to cut his hair. As I was sitting there waiting, I watched about 20 people come and go (quick haircuts, paid and out the door - oh and by the way I had my son's hair cut too while we were stuck waiting for her to get done). As I sat there I got more and more irritated since his usual haircuts only take between 5 and 10 minutes. By the time my husband was done, he walked up to the register to pay and he had a ton of little pieces of cut hair all over his face. The girl didn't even clean him up or give him a towel to wipe his own face off (I don't know much about cutting hair...but the cleaning up after the haircut is common sense, I don't believe that is something you need to learn in hair-cutting school).
Great Clips at Shadle Center Spokane WA. I was mad at this point and said to her "do you think maybe you could give him something to wipe his face off?" She just looked at me with this confused look and "oh sure" like she had no clue what I was talking about. So after he cleaned himself up (and had to have her fix a portion of his hair that was cut wrong... taking another 5 minutes), we were ready to pay. I handed her two $2.00 off coupons. She rang me up and we left (not saying a word about this while we were in the store by the way, I didn't want to embarrass her or my husband). I asked my husband when we left if she was new or something and he said yes, that it was her first day. I pulled the receipt out of my purse to call the manager when we got to the car and saw that she had charged us full price (for the crappy job/service) and that she only used one of the $2.00 off coupons (and kept the other one).
I was so mad at this point... I told the manager that I understand that everyone needs to learn and that it may take someone who is first learning 45 minutes to cut one person's hair. But we didn't have 45 minutes to spend in Great Clips...we need to be somewhere and now we were going to be late. Since she is the manager I feel like she should let people know that she was new and that the haircut might take a little longer than what they might be used to. That way if the customer didn't have 45 minutes to wait while she practiced, then maybe they could wait another minute or two for someone who is faster.
I told her that I would like a refund on his haircut only (I was totally fine with paying for my son's haircut). I felt like that was fair and for the fact that I didn't make a scene in the store and waited to talk to her on the phone. She told me that she was not authorized to give out free haircuts or do any refunds. She told me that she could contact her corporate office and call me back. I was fine with that.
She called me back the next day and told me that the only thing she was send me a $6.99 coupon in the mail for the next time we wanted to come in for a haircut. I told her that I do not think that is fair given everything that we had just discussed the day before. I told her not to bother, we will go somewhere else and I would post my review about our experience. She told me that I was rude for posting a negative review and that I should be happy with my $6.99 coupon. I will never go to this Great Clips again and I hope whoever is reading this will not either!!

I went into the Great Clips at Five Points in the Fairless Hills/Levittown area and I told my hairdresser that I wanted a trim. She showed me 4 inches and I said that it was too much and we agreed on an inch or an inch and half. So she decided herself that 4 and maybe 5 inches would be better for me. She also gave me bangs without my consent. I've always disliked this location due to another terrible hair cut, but I was told it was new people, but I guess it's the same terrible service.

I was at Great Clips in Everett WA, on Evergreen way. The lady was nice, but the salon doesn't have anything related to other ethnicities hair. She doesn't have any tools to cut ** male hair. Even if she gave me a discount at the end, she should have told me before cutting my hair that she's not used to cut **. That was the worst experience I ever had in my entire life, feeling not welcome at all. I will suggest that they tell customers that they don't have the right tools to cut their hair before even touching their hair rather than telling me in the middle of the cut.

I just received a haircut in boynton beach, fl at this establishment. The lady cutting my hair was not at all focused on what she was doing as she was talking the entire time and kept stopping to explain to me whatever it was she was talking about. What really upset me was when she stated that she thought I didn't want my sideburns and before I could utter the words "yes I do", she cut my right side off. After she did this, she apologized and offered to leave the left side in place. I was so upset that I of course did not tip and plan to never go back there.

Great Clips North Point Parkway - I specifically said 'trim only' to the lady who welcomed me (my husband happened to be with me and verified he heard me say it). I repeated trim only to the lady stylist. After she finished my hair was chopped - I had one length hair all over. I never said layers. I wouldn't do that because for almost 2 years I've been growing it out. I called the salon from the parking lot and all they said was that they'd tell the stylist. I called corporate headquarters and they said they would call the owner of the salon. That was 3 hours ago and I haven't heard from them yet. It's a huge deal to me! She didn't even cut it correctly - I just showed my colleagues at work and they said it looks like a hack job that she cut straight across.

I will never go back to Great Clips in Vaughan again. Today I experienced the most degrading experience. I took my two boys there to get their haircuts, as picture day at school is this Wednesday and as we were waiting my 5 year old suddenly vomits, all in all everything got clean, I clean him up and he told me he felt better, just then they call my 6 yr old to cut his hair. I then proceeded to tell the haircutter how I wanted his haircut. When they called my 5 yr old and I asked him again if he wanted his haircut and he said yes, so he proceed to go to the seat.
All of a sudden the haircutter started yelling so loud "is this the boy that vomit!!?" "No!!" "I refuse to cut his hair!", "John, I refuse to cut that boy's hair!", the salon was full. So just imagine my embarrassment. I understand that they don't want the child to vomit again, but my issue is that she could have told discreetly instead of yelling it out so the whole world could hear. My son got a little scare and felt bad. She treated my son as if he had some sort of disease. Going to start going to First Choice across the street. And this I will tell my family and friends.

There are a few instances where a business large or small, has a chance to really make their customers feel valued. Well, this is not one of them. Ok, so the app to sign in is pointless since they will simply skip you for the next walk in. I signed in. I didn't know that it was cash only due to an error with their register. I was early and checked in. I noticed the cash only sign and informed the lady I would be right back. I walked next door to the ATM and was back in 4 min, only to be told that the lady who walked in right before me, who had not checked in and was earlier told would most likely have to wait about an hour had been put in my place.
When I returned I asked if I had been skipped. Her reply was matter of fact and careless, "Oh, yeah, well you weren't here." To which I replied, "But I told you would be right back, and I would have been if I didn't have to go get cash." She replied by simply quoting to me that it was policy to take first come first serve. Yet as I waited. Another gentleman walks in and had checked in. He checks in at the desk and is immediately taken to get a haircut. What happened to policy, and first come first serve. I was there before that guy. So what gives. I'm not disturbed by being passed over what I'm disturbed by is her seemingly unapologetic attitude and her willingness to make me feel as a customer insignificant. No attempt to try and work with me. I as a customer am doing you a favor by signing in on an app and letting you know I will be there, and that I am a loyal and regular customer, the least you can do is make me feel like a valued customer.

I really like Great Clips. I have been about 4 or 5 times. The last time I went, which was about 4 or 5 days ago, I had a bad experience. Every time I go I ask for about a 1 - 1 1/2 inch trim on the top. On the back I square it. Over the ear and my sides (Idk how to explain -- only a teen, not a professional, in hairstyles) cut the excess hair so that it looks like a square and the line then follows up to my forehead.
Everything goes good during the haircut. She did what I asked (I thought) and in the end I was satisfied with my haircut. But after the usual shower after a haircut I straighten out my hair to see if they did the cut right, only to find out that the left side of my hair is about a 1/2 inch longer than my right! The sides and the back were fine but I could not believe what happened to my top!
After I get a sibling to cut the difference I am satisfied. Only today while I was combing my hair I find that the back half of my top had not been touched!!! I told her I wanted an inch to half inch on the top. It was not touched at all!!! I was very unsatisfied to find that not only my left side had been messed up but that also the half of my top had not been touched!!! Very unsatisfying to me since I am a teen and looks are everything. Prominence Point, Canton, Georgia 30114 from what I know. Never returning to Great Clips again.

I asked her what she had done and she said, "I'm trying a new layering technique". I asked for a trim of 1/4", not to be the testing rat of a new layering technique. I have a thin mullet-type fringe that hangs from the nape of my neck and then the rest of my hair is 2" long. One side is also longer than the other and I have loose strands that were not cut. My wife has used the Great Clips located @ the Gateway Shopping Center in Portland, OR a few times, with varied results. This last time, yesterday, she came out unhappy looking. I can't speak for every gentleman in these United States, but when somebody makes either my daughters or my wife upset & sad, I'm going to come looking for answers or settlement. Anyway, the lady cutting my wife's hair was clearly in a hurry. Strike 1. She left scraggly (long… 5"-6") stray hairs. Strike 2. She made a very clearly uneven cut, and went way shorter than she was instructed to. Strike 3, you're out.
As I type, my dearest wife sits in the 'salon' chair, 15' in front of me, through the window. At least they agreed to fix it. I'm torn between asking for a refund, or at least a free future cut ticket/voucher. Bottom line: Places of this ilk are a crapshoot. Some are home to extremely competent, motivated individuals who take pride in their work. Others… not so much. Proceed with caution.

But when I got home I had hair on the right side of my head that was no kidding or exaggeration two inches longer than the left side. Before this the previous times they had always screwed up my bangs. I always spike my front. Every time I have had to trim them when I got home which wasn't a big deal. But this is not just my front. This is patches on my right side that are longer. If you have never been to Great Clips I advise that you don't. You have been warned. Never have I ever experienced anything like this in any salon! I went in for a shampoo only. Not my first time there. New hire took me to the sink, starts shampooing only the ends of my hair, didn't touch the scalp. My hair is very long. Down to my lower back and very thick. She then stops and takes a phone call while I'm head down in the sink with cold, sopping wet, dirty hair. Finally, after about 7 minutes on a personal call, she starts rinsing. I asked her to shampoo my scalp and she says she did already. Then I said she didn't because she was on the phone and stopped washing. She gets angry and told me "too bad you don't like it then leave!!!"
She then rips out the towel from my shoulder, while my head is still in a pool of cold water soaked in the sink. She shouted at me to get out and don't bother paying. Stomps over, threw her apron off and screams "I don't care! I'm tired! Get out!" All while I'm in shock and sopping wet with a cold head full of 30 inches of wet hair crouched in the sink!!! I was sooo appalled that she just left me abandoned in this condition and made a public embarrassment and humiliation of this as there were several customers who witnessed this and was confused.
I then called the Great Clips corporate headquarters to file a complaint. I then called the owner of the franchise and the owner had the nerve to defend her by saying she had a bad day, duct internet down and found out her brother has terminal cancer?!!! Like I'm supposed to believe this crap and justify her mistreatment??!!! This person should be fired and the store should be shut down for misconduct and mismanagement. This is not over.

Irresponsible stylist at Great Clips at Round Rock Crossing - I told the stylist who seem to be a new Great Clips employee to use 5 on the top and 3 on the side for my son and I left to target leaving my wife with my son at Great Clips. The stylist used number one on the sides and since did cut the hair with size 1 by the time my wife realized, then my wife had to ask her to use size 1 for the entire hair. By the time I came back to pick them. I got the unpleasant surprise. I was so angry but I could do nothing to get the situation right. We paid Great Clips but did not tip the stylist. Then she said that we asked her to use size 1. Yes we did so but that is after the fact that she already messed my son's hair.

The lady cut my hair in sections, there are no layers whatsoever. She even asked me, "so you want me to trim the layers too?" It is hard to describe, but I have to make an appointment to get my hair cut by a professional tomorrow.

June 10, 2015 Sewell NJ. Where to start?!?! First the lady who took my info was dumber than a door nail and as smart as a brick. With that said this was the worst experience of my life involving my hair being cut. She asked me what kinda cut I would like. I said a high and tight, very extremely basic hair cut. She asked me what my numbers are. At this point I should've got up and left. If she asked how long it was since my last hair cut she would've had clue of what to do. Anyways she proceeded to ask how long on top and on the sides. I said "I like the sides as tight as you can get them but not bald." She agreed to the terms. Then took a 1 1/2 and took one stroke with the clippers on top of my head and buzz cut me. I told her "you might as well buzz my head coz you just done ** my head up." Then she proceed to say it was my fault coz I agreed to the clipper guard number.
As long as I've gotten fades high and tights, the barber hair stylist always starts with the sides first then blends the top. This is the first time in my whole life that someone cut the top of my head first for a fade. Somehow your employee made it out that it was my fault she gave me a bad haircut when she was in control of the clippers. After she buzzed my whole head, left hair around my ears and in the back of head, had the nerve to ask me if I like my fade now. I told "no, I don't want you to touch my head ever again." Her coworker came over and offered to pay for my haircut when the door knob that cut my hair said that no one will pay for it.
So after she said that I got up out of the chair and grabbed my helmet and mumbled some words under my breath. As I was walking out the door she proceeded to tell me to go back to my barber. I had to spend my only day off finding a barber shop open to fix the mess up that was on my head. So I spent more of my time, money, and gas to fix your employee's mess up.

I usually book a salon appointment when I want my hair trim, but I haven't had much me time and thought how bad could it possibly be? Just one time? I had hair almost to my waist and asked for a trim. I agreed upon just below my shoulder blades, which was already 6". I can't believe it, but now I have shoulder length hair! I am stunned at how a female hair cutter could not have known that was so wrong! No one who has long hair would go to a "Great" Clips to get that dramatic of a haircut. WTF!!! Everyone I run into tells me "Whoa... your hair is so short... Did you donate it?" My answer... "No, I went to 'Great' Clips." It will take me about 2 and a half years before I will even have hair long enough to reach the agreed upon shoulder blade level.

I explain many time what I wanted and what not to cut. Not a good listener talk and talk and talk not focus continue cutting. I did stop her several times and ask don't cut my bangs cause I wanted to let them grow out, she said she's just cleaning them up. Talk, talk while using the trimming. You are paid according on how fast you cut hair. This is called cutting on production at great clips. Please don't pay $5.99 for a botched hair cut. Get a professional, pay a little more. These stylist work for 8.00 an hr less than McDonald's pays. They can't cut your hair in the style you request because they are not trained professionals they are hair cutters.

Great Clips treats their employees like they're being on the show Big Brother. No trust. Owners always being watched your time and for every haircut your time between haircut you going to give your all and you get treated with nothing but disrespect. Staff walk out halfway through shifts and get rehired stylists complain to customers about other staff members. Great Clips is only concerned about the customer how many coming through the door each day, how much money they make, but they forget the most important thing - without the stylists there they would not be making the money or have the amount of people coming in. They have no respect for their staff. The owners don't even know how to cut hair and everything is just timed right down to bathroom breaks.
Great Clips is only concerned about customers. They don't back the stylist when it comes to good work, you only hear negative then don't say you did a good job. They just tell you not to speed up, you got to get them out within 15 minutes they walk in the door. You have to have them in the system within a minute and a half after the knowledge everybody. I would recommend any young stylist do not waste your time going to Great Clips, it's not so great.

I'm a strong believer in great customer service, yet hair can not be treated as flipping a burger, as the owner would say, "We are the McDonald's of hair cuts" in and out service. I am never impressed by how many people come to get their hair cut but I am more about what I experience myself. I came in to the Columbus, GA (Cross Country Plaza) location and was immediately greeted by the white lady and she asked me what I wanted and proceeded to tell me the pricing of each service. I agreed to have my hair "styled"! I was seen by a black woman (I am black also) and she began to ask me what kind of cut I wanted. I told her and then I told her after she cut it that I wanted my hair curled. She proceeded to tell me that I needed to get a perm and she was not going to be able to curl my hair without it being permed.
I was pissed to the max that I had to leave with my hair uncurled, embarrassed and very put off. I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK!!! I thought that when a client is asking for a service and is going to pay that, no matter how much the stylist disagrees, the client gets what he/she asks for. I have worked in Customer Service for over 20 years and I did not like the treatment I got from this stylist, made me wish the white lady had done my hair!! Yesterday I had experienced a horrible visit at the Great Clips on NW at 154th and Penn. I was asked by one of Stylist if I wanted to work there and I knew that Stylist pretty Good and I have also worked with her before and I told her I was interested in the job, but I had told her the only problem is that I would not be able to come into the store for an interview until Monday when I get paid because I don't even have a penny to my name until I get paid and I had no gas in my car and she it should not be a problem she said if I could to the Website and fill out the Application and said Ok.
Then Probably about a hour later that Employee that I known text me and said "she wants you to in today" and I said there is no way I could today, I would have to wait until Monday when I have Gas money and she said "well she really needs somebody else to work here and she really wants to met you today and so she said I will give you some Gas Money when you get here."
I had said to her I really hope I even make there because I on I-40 and Rockwell that is a pretty good drive. So anyways I started getting ready so I could go and then she texted me and said "what time will you be here" and I said probably 2 o'clock. At this moment until I can save up some money for a car because my car finally just would not work anymore. Well my fiance said "I need to use the truck really quick before you" and I told "do not be any later than 2 o' clock." So then I text her and said "what time is your Manager leaving" and she said 3 o'clock so I asked her if I don't leave my house until 2 o'clock and she said that was ok.
So then I started heading there and I was going to be a little bit earlier than I thought. When I got there I saw the employee I knew and I said "where is your Manager" and she said she said in the back room and she just knock on the door for her. I felt very uncomfortable doing that so I meet the Manager and she barely said Hi and said "here is an Application go ahead and fill it out and give it back to me."
So I started on my Application and then I had noticed that when I was filling out my Application that employee and the Manager were in the back room alone and they closed the Door and that made me feel very uncomfortable and during my process of completing my Application, that Employee came out of the back room about 4 times and kept asking me if I was almost and the Manager never came and checked on me. I really felt like that Employee was trying to be the manager and I have never went to a store to fill out an application and was rushed like that so I didn't get to give my full attention to my Job Application and that really upset me and almost made me feel like is this a Joke. This is so unprofessional and the last time the Employee ask me if I was done I said I have 2 questions left.
It will be a minute so then I went headed to the back room to where they were and only Manager walked out and I handed her my Application and I had asked her, "Where was that Employee at," and she said she already left she had class and I said "O my Gosh she was suppose to help me out with gas money so I could get home" and the Manager acted liked she really did not care and she said "I am sorry I don't have enough time to give you an interview today but can you come in Tomorrow for an interview," when I just told her I did not know how I was going to get home.
So then I went outside and I tried to call that Employee several times and it kept going to voicemail so then I texted her and she said "oh I forgot" and I have to get to and she did not even tell me that she had to go to class, so then I told her I don't have any gas to get Home so I am going to have to walk and she said "you should of not took so long on your Application," then I said to her "why didn't you tell me you had to go and just give gas money then, and want is really Fishy to me is I never saw her leave. She went out the back door so for some reason she did not want me to see her leave.
Then she said "I am at 7-11 if you want to meet me here" so I told her "we were headed there" and when we got there she was not there and only took me About 2 minutes to get there so I called her and she did not answering. So I texted her and begged her and now I am going to have to walk home and I just found out from my Doctor I have Lupus and I told her a couple days ago I had it and it is very painful, some days I get hardly get out of bed and I told her I can't a whole lot with my Lupus.
So we waited for about a hour to see what we were going to do, a my truck would not even drive so we had no choice but walk. We walked almost 5 miles until somebody picked us up and helped us and I barely walk anymore and I was running a 103 temperature because that is a symptom of Lupus. I was really excited about this Job and I was so excited to go up there and fill out my Application and meet the Manager and Maybe get a Job.
I am so Hurt, Humiliated, just so Embarrassed, and never imagined something like this happening to me when I am going to fill out an Application. I think the Manager is so unprofessional because I told her what that Employee was going to and she acted like she didn't even care and didn't ask if I need a ride home. I just never imagined that going to a job interview would land me almost in the Hospital. I could not even really walk and I was running a high temperature. I should of went and got checked but I was so upset about what happened I just wanted to go home.
I am in the Process of Contacting the news Channel so this can be on TV so people are aware of Cruel acts by An Employee and the Manager and her the whole time I was there. They were in the back room with the door closed and it was just them two. I just wanted you guys to be aware what you are getting yourself into with that Employee. I have worked with her - me and her worked together at Smartstyle inside Walmart and she got fired for stealing.
She stole from Walmart and the Walmart Security came into our store and said she needed to go to the office so they could talk to her and she grabbed her purse fast and ran outside to her car and Walmart said "if she ever comes back here we are going to Arrest" and she stole from Wal mart when she was clocked in with Smartstyle and she was stealing from the store all the time because they do not have cameras and she was selling Drugs there and she had already been to Prison for Drug Trafficking. She is just trouble and I just don't want you guys to get stolen from. If anybody ever ask about Great Clips I will always tell them about what happen. I just cannot believe this happened to me, I feel like I am in a nightmare.

I have been experiencing bullying in the work place by my EX Manager **. It all started in December when I tried calling in sick. She told me that it wasn't allowed, that if I wasn't in the store for my shift there would be consequences. (Note: She was off that day, fully capable of covering she just didn't want to.) - Beginning of January some things happened and I ended up in jail for three days. I had my mother call the store and let them know I wasn't going to be in those three days. From what I was told, the shifts had been covered and I was to return that following Monday.
After hearing I was released (same night) I was asked if I would be coming into work. I told her “no because I was told the shifts had been covered and it wasn't a big deal.” However, I could sense attitude. When I returned to work, ** took me into the office and wrote me up for missing those three days of work. Said I didn't have a doctor’s note. (Of course I didn’t, I was in jail and she KNEW I was because my mother had called.) How is that fair?
After receiving court ordered anger management classes (3 weeks) I let my Manager ** know what dates the classes were. Her first response was "well, you work that day." I told her that “it was court ordered and that I had a limited time frame to do it.” She ended up making me do a 9-3 (class was 4-6) and come back to work 7-9. I asked if there was another way she could schedule that because that was a long day. She told me no. One of my coworkers (**) had offered to work a couple more hours that day so I wouldn't have to come back after the class. Again, I was told no. Another coworker had told me (**) that ** said I deserved to have my whole day screwed up because I was "such a **" when asking for the days off.
February 2nd I go into work and was asked by a couple coworkers if I had seen the status our Manager had put on facebook about me. I told them no, but that I wanted to see the post. It read "I swear this girl is bipolar, get on some meds lady!!!" I asked how they knew it was about me. They both had conversations with ** about who it was and she told them it was about me.
(Have the screen shots) I confronted ** about it, she said it was her personal facebook, what she posts there isn't my business, that we weren't friends anyway. I told her I had felt bullied by her the last few weeks and that I wasn't going to put up with it any longer, that I wouldn't be back. She asked me if we could meet up in the morning to talk. While in the meeting, ** asked me to sign a form saying I was leaving the store. I asked her if she was firing me. She replied "No, you told me via text message you weren't coming back." I replied with “we are talking and having a meeting like you asked me to do and now you're making me quit?” She told me it wasn't up to her anymore, that she has called the regional manager and let her know I wouldn't be returning. I was asked to take all of my things and leave. (I didn't sign any exiting paperwork.)
I feel like I was forced out of that salon, I felt bullied and beat down. I worked 50hr weeks, one day off a week and were making my numbers. (Note: Manager MAYBE worked 20-30 hrs) When she was there, she would sit in the office in her tablet playing facebook games! I have pictures of schedules, some of my numbers as well to prove that I was a good employee. I honestly can't believe it is okay to treat a good employee that way.

I visited your Epps Bridge Rd location in Athens, GA. Note, this is my first time at any Great Clips. ** is the stylist that cut my hair. In fact, she's been my stylist for the last five years. I trust her with my scalp and hair. I will follow her to any salon she works. However, the way I was treated by management and another stylist was ridiculous and disgusted me. I have never been so humiliated and had an employee humiliated in front of me.
First of all, I came in with a wig on my head merely because I had just got off from work and didn't want to do my hair prior to going. As ** shows me to my sit another stylist comes to me and ** and tells us "Oh, we can't cut weave. My manager says you can't cut her hair." I tell this stylist "I'm not getting my weave cut, I just got off from work. Why would you assume I'm getting weave cut?" I told her to get the facts before assuming things and to inform her manager of that as well.
Me, being a manager at a financial institution know you should never make judgments until you get the facts. At this time, I'm upset but not too bothered. Once I took my wig off, ** combed my hair out. I guess she seen me with this distraught look in my face. She asked me if I was to proceed? I told her yes. She keep apologizing for what this other stylist told me. I asked her if she could wash my hair before she cut it... Because again I had just got off work and had been sweating...
Second incident... All in this one visit. I'm an ** woman who has a lot of hair and it's curly. Note I told you earlier, I asked ** to wash my hair. So she has to dry it to curl. So what do she do... she picks up the blow dryer and a brush (because there's no Concentrator on the blow dryer) to dry my hair. Once my hair is dried, she cuts it in the style I asked for and tells me to go home flat iron it straight and I'll be set. We go to the register to check out and I get charged for a cut and a style, because she used a brush to blow dry my hair for a cut... $26.99. WHY? Are your salons not intended to do ** hair? Maybe my hair was "**" enough...
Any way, the manager comes to the front and says she picked up the brush and it's considered styling hair. So, I told **, I'm really pissed off (and know she is as well because it wasn't told to her either) that if I'm going to pay for a style you might as well flat iron and style. Once my style was completed, I told her she don't ever have to worry about me coming here again or referring anybody here. I told her, from now on I request she do my hair outside of Great Clips and she needed to find a salon who respects her faithful clients. I also told her that She's so much better than the people she's working for.
The management here is horrible. As a manager, there's a time and place to discuss things with the employee, not via another person or in front of a waiting room full of clients. That was embarrassing for me and for my stylist. As far as customer service, maybe you need to have a class or two on that also... And one on diversity. If you have any questions feel free to call.

I went to to Great Clips as I have once before, the hair cut was great and liked it.. I had spent 2 years growing out my hair from my own mess up and you mean slowly growing. One week ago, I went to Great Clips for a nice touch up hair cut. I walked out and came home and literally cried! My wavy curly hair that used to be between my shoulders and mid back, a little thin and curly mostly was gone!!!!! The back is so so short that it's barely passed my neck line and the sides were uneven and just below the jaw, not to mention the bangs were super short and hacked too. Two days went by, you could not handle it. I called the manager and went in so she could clean it up and to show her what this lady stylist did.. The Manager at Great Clips apologized. My response was, you can't bring hair back.

I even told them five times I didn't want the back cut. THEY DID THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT YOU WANTED. It took me a half a year to grow it.

Went to Great Clips at Ridgemoor Commons in Palm Harbor, Florida on a Sunday. Jamie, who only works on Sunday, cut my hair. I have coarse, thick hair that needed to be thinned out. I told her to leave my bangs and sides long, but cut the back short, as I was trying to grow out my sides. What I got was short bangs, short sides, and a long back that was not even. She also put conditioner on my hair, and sold me a bottle of it. The product was so greasy, that it took me several days, and numerous washings to get it out of my hair, so I did not use the bottle I purchased. I am glad my hair grows fast, but will never go back there again, since you are at the stylist mercy!

I have gone to Great Clips several times in order to give them a fair evaluation of services and qualities. Time and time again, they have failed to meet the expectations that come with their prices. While one would not expect top-notch work from a cheap store, just as one would not expect fast food restaurants to prepare high-class meals, Great Clips somehow manages to utterly fail even the most basic of requirements for a business. The employees will always ask you what length and style you'd like your hair. Even if you explain the most simple of cuts with excruciating detail to them, they will, not have, WILL, without fail, then proceed to COMPLETELY IGNORE anything either of you said, and give you a random, half-** haircut. They hire horrible, worthless barbers that know nothing about cosmetology, so brain-dead, in fact, that twice I have sustained injury from these pathetic people. This place is a money trap. The ironically named Great Clips can and will hire any bum off the streets, pay them as little as possible, and run scissors through your hair so that they can bathe in your hard-earned money. If you value anything about your appearance and safety, steer clear of this hellhole.

This was my 3rd time at this salon. The 1st time I had a good experience with a guy. The 2nd time the same guy was only so-so. This 3rd visit was my first experience with Kristie. Because of her I will never return to any Great Clips again. I thought she would be more in tune to my needs and style since we're both **, but in the 18 years that I've been wearing my hair natural this was the WORST cut I've ever had! Some parts long, other parts short--very uneven and lopsided. With my hair patted down and loose hair clippings all over my head it was difficult to tell how bad it was. But when I got home and combed it out I just froze in the mirror for about 5 minutes, not knowing what to do.
The next day the manager refused to give me a refund ($8 because I had a coupon) and only offered to have someone correct the cut. The same two stylists were on duty and I wasn't trusting anybody there to touch my hair again. I could tell by the expression on the manager's face that she thought I was there to get my hair cut, and was surprised to learn that it had just been cut the day before. I had been growing my hair out and just wanted it evened up a little and tapered around my face and neck. Now I'm back to square one and my hair grows so slowly. If you're ** with a natural style, I would not recommend using Kristie.

I asked for a simple haircut and provided a picture. I keep finding 4 inch strands of hair where my hair is SUPPOSED to be less than half an inch. The lady didn't blow dry my hair or anything. If I get a shampoo, shouldn't I get a blow dry as well? I guess I'm going to have to go somewhere else to get them to fix it, because it is completely messed up. Thanks, Great Clips.

I said that sounds good and she started wetting me down and combing. I left the house to drive to my regular hair stylist of seven years at the local Great Clips. It takes 17 minutes to fight traffic to the location. While I was in transit a man, not even on location, used the ONLINE CHECK-IN to steal an, "electronic-cut-in-line". He came in ten minutes after me... and was served first. Great Clips built itself as the "drive-by and stop" haircut place that wouldn't take appointments. It was always, "first come-first serve".
The management team of Great Clips CEO, Rhoda Olsen (sister of GC Founder), has sold out the loyal non-tech customers for flash-n-sizzle online check-in that is favored by those who text and drive. She and her team have bought an expensive software program from a geek-wizard who has convincingly sold them that his way IS THE WAY. Really, it is an unfair way for techies to take electronic cuts-in-line, over loyal non-tech customers. Why should we allow electronic devices rule something as basic as getting a haircut?
Mothers should find a competitor salon who accepts appointments that serves low-tech, more personal service. What mother wants to enter an online-game of whose phone is faster? While some tech-types may snicker that the other guy simply outmaneuvered me, I see technology creating conflict between two classes of Great Clips customers. Shame on Great Clips management for not considering the anger of we loyal customers who get "bumped". Our time and effort to drive to a Great Clips (sometimes with kids in tow), may start well before the tech-guy enters an electronic-cuts-in-line... OUCH!
I left my good stylist of 7 years. She stated I am not the only one who has been angered and left her because of this "technology". Technology should not create conflict amongst customers. Great Clips already had a good check-in system that was modern and well balanced and understood by the clientele. Many, MANY customers will choose to not use electronic check-in and abandon Great Clips the first time they get bumped. Great Clips has never been a high quality salon, rather a cheap one on the way home. I recommend a boycott of Great Clips because they have promoted one class of customers over another. I decided to try Great Clips in Flushing, MI and boy do I wish I hadn't. They hacked my hair up so badly that even my husband was embarrassed to be seen with me. They also wanted to charge me an extra $15.00 just to use a brush on my hair. So their prices are not that cheap.

I went into Great Clips with great expectations of the management and interviewing process, (paying no attention to all the bad reviews I've seen whilst doing research) when I came in for an interview. It was a very pleasant interview. The manager told me I did quite an amazing job, and that she couldn't have found anyone better for the job. The manager then asked me to attend the second round interview so I delightfully agreed. When I left I thought well wow, they seem pretty pleased. This could possibly be a great place to work.
When I did my second round interview it was okay, but slowly grew uncomfortable. The manager didn't tell me where the tools were that I could use for my LIVE client. I looked like a fool! Asking for items... Of course I tried to ask lots of questions about products, their policies and they acted like they were completely oblivious! I used some new techniques in my haircut I learned from a cutting class and I was questioned as to "why would I do that?!" And I explained and the manager mumbles. I left thinking everything was okay and the manager said "I will call you tomorrow, ok? I need to talk... Go over things and then I'll call my GM go over details. But yeah, I'll call you tomorrow."
At this point I was thinking... great! I might have it! I thought wrong. The manager didn't call me for 3 days, so I did a follow up. I called and an associate went silent and told me "uhm she's busy." I left her a message waiting for a return call and nothing. It's been a week. No info. The least that management could have done was let one of their interviewing candidates know that they haven’t received the job. Very unprofessional not to respond, to lie about the possibility of receiving a job, and downright rude to make someone wait around.

Does business as a joke. They want robots, they want to stall. Sounds same and do the same. No personal connection with the customer because they don't want you to have that connection because every time you go in there is a client they want you to try the next person. Very cold and unprofessional. Unfortunately this franchise is all the same. It's not a very pleasant experience especially for a woman and the other things they hire anybody that has a license. I can't even cut hair. I seen with my own eyes. If you have a few extra buck it's better to go to a private shop and get the whole good experience.

I went to Tina at the Paola, KS Great Clips for a simple trim of a simple bob-type haircut. I asked for the same style as my stylist - shorter and layered in back, longer and slightly angled on the sides and a light bang. Just like what I had, only tidied up. It's a basic cut that is one of the first taught to students in cosmetology school. She did the opposite. The "style" was more like an 80's mullet than anything I've seen for a long time. And my hair was almost dripping wet and plastered to my head when I left. When she told me I was done without offering me a chance to see the back, I told her I didn't like it and wanted it cut correctly. She refused. She said she cut it how I told her to and she wasn't going to do anything else to it. She was rude and more involved in participating in the gossip than in working. When I first moved to this area, I had heard to stay away from them but didn't think a simple trim could be messed up so completely. I am going back to my regular stylist even though she's pricey. The quality is worth it to me.

I have a wedding to attend this weekend so I thought I should go get a trim. I have been to Great Clips before so I thought "hey, why not?" As I walk in, I see 3 ladies. 1 who looks like she is ready to retire, 2nd one as if she was barely old enough to hold scissors, and the 3rd one looked as if she was upset to be alive. My gut feeling told me to run, but before I knew it, I was signed up and ready to go. As I instructed the senior citizen very slowly that I ONLY wanted a trim, she said "not a problem".
I first noticed the first lock of hair get chopped off and I thought "what the Hell", but since I have long hair I thought, "okay, I will be okay." Before I knew it, she is going to town with her scissors while I am having a secret panic attack!! I couldn't even look on the floor to see a year's worth of vitamins and special shampoo. Ready to be thrown away as if I didn't take care of my hair. I rush home to wash my hair and flat iron it to only confirm my worst nightmare. All my layers were uneven, as if I went to cut my hair at a childcare. I can't even curl my hair like I wanted to. So disappointed...

I would advise customers not to pay a dime extra for a hair style in Great Clips Chalfont/New Britain, PA. Just as we'll burn your money and stick your head underneath a lawn mower. What was more shocking than a cut and style that looked like a kindergarten performed was the attitude of the staff and worst yet… the owner. She evidently informed me she did not need any business. The advertised satisfaction guarantee is just for show. Save your money and hair... stay away from Great Clips and their unprofessional owners. The Chalfont store needs some servicing on customer relations!

It takes a lot to make me cry. However, my long hair is something you do not mess with. I left Great Clips in tears almost every time. After a few bad hair cuts, I stopped going. However, when I'm feeling like I have spent too much money lately, I somehow convince myself the 12-dollar trim from Great Clips is an okay choice. Like who ** up a trim?! Trust me, it is totally possible. Do not go there unless you have a person you trust. I would rather spend 40 dollars and then tip on a trim than let these idiots cut my hair.
My hair is uneven. The lady would not cut it wet. I specifically asked for a fourth of an inch off (plus other instructions) and yet somehow she confused it with an inch. I am always very clear with what I want, no matter where I go. And today is my birthday, and I had plans later. I am embarrassed to wear my hair down, which is how I wear it almost 99.9% of the time (I am not joking). So, I am going to as many sites as I can to write my review because I am pissed off.

I went to great clips to get a trim about 1/2 inch of hair. I first asked the person who took me (April) if she could actually cut my hair since I am natural. She said yes and trimmed my hair. As she started to trim my hair, she started to take off 1 inch and then 2 inches, etc. I went home very upset and wanted to wait to go back and talk to a manager since I was devastated. I went back into the salon today (Sunday) and told the stylist that I was very upset with my haircut and wanted my money back. She started to get defensive and said that she told me my hair would be uneven. She never told me this and also insisted that she will make it even after she did the cut.
I had a lot of plans Saturday evening and had to cut them since my hair was a complete mess. I have been growing my hair for about two years now and to have someone chop most of it all off is still very hard for me to process. Not to mention, she was rude to my husband and I when I came back in to express my concern. I now have to schedule an appointment with another hair stylist to cut off what she damaged. I put my trust in Great Clips and left feeling terrible.

I had been going to a particular stylist at my local Great Clips Salon for about 7 months now. During every visit to trim my hair, we discussed my color-treated and very straight hair (which is obvious) and my wish for a perm. After months of talking about it with her, and her constantly assuring me that it would be fine, I scheduled an appointment for a perm on November 30, 2012.
I arrive for the appointment, I told her immediately how nervous I was. She again, assured me "it would be okay". She washed my hair. We discussed the size of the rods, and she suggested smaller rods. I insisted on larger rods. She rolled my hair on the perm rods. She applied the perm solution. She timed the perm solution. She then rinsed my hair. I didn't feel like she had rinsed my hair enough and asked that she rinse some more. She took me back to her station/chair. She was completely unable to get a comb through my hair at all.
I attempted to comb my hair and could not even get a comb into my hair, much less, through my hair. I was panicking after she pulled and tugged at my hair and was completely unable to comb my hair at all. At this point, I paid and left (I live very close by). I got to my house and tried to comb my hair. I realized that my hair was so knotted and something was really wrong with the texture of my hair. I called her and told her that I was coming back and that we had to do something. I looked absolutely absurd now.
I arrived. She was apologizing but could not tell me what is wrong with my hair. I said, "You have to do something ..." because whatever she did went wrong? I can't go out in public looking like this. I was in tears and said for her to start cutting off my hair. As she was trying to comb my hair and cut it off, I realize that she was cutting and cutting and I was running out of hair. It was only at the shoulders to begin with. Now I was silently crying and then I told her to stop and that she had to just stop cutting. She handed me my $50 and I ran out of the salon in tears.
The next day, I realized that there was nothing I could do, I had no more hair to spare and it's the holidays. I cried and cried so much while calling salons to try to find someone to help me save what was left of my hair. I found one in my area and scheduled an appointment at 3:00 the next day. I now must try to understand what I am going to look like after anything more is done to my hair for the holidays and family gatherings for pictures. I'm so traumatized that I cannot understand how this went so wrong.
I've spent a great deal of money on products and salon visits for my hair for the past 4 weeks. I purchased temporary hair extensions and then semi-permanent hair extensions so that I wouldn't be without hair altogether, long-term. I've been so distraught that this happened to me. It has been distracting and depressing both. I'm so sad that she knew how nervous I was and that I trusted her word and her assurances. I need to know if I can at least recover the costs that I've incurred with keratin treatments to make my hair stronger as well as the costs of hair care products, etc. that I've already purchased in order to be able to be seen in public at work and family functions for the holidays?

I have been getting my haircut at Great Clips in Griffin, GA for 12 years. I have never paid more than $18.00 for a wash, cut and blow dry. I usually pay $15.00, but sometimes, depending on the stylist, I would get charged $3.00 extra for drying it. This time, I had a coupon from the Christmas lights at Atlanta Motor Speedway, $9.00 off. So, the owner, who was smoking in the shop, too, told the stylist to charge me an extra $16.00 in addition to the $15.00 and the $3.00 making the total of my haircut $34.00! And I have short hair, too. I have contacted corporate 4 times who says they have contacted the owner. The owner told them she would contact me each time to rectify this, but she never has. Most recently, Christen, at the corporate, said she would call me right back or the owner would and this would be taken care of. Christen's number is **. I have heard from neither, and once again, it has been almost 2 weeks. I want the $16.00 returned to me. I was ripped off! And I do not appreciate being used and abused.

I was at the Great Clips Hair Salon inside Meijer in White Lake, Michigan on M-59 near Bogie Lake Road on 10/14 around noon. I got the worst haircut that I have ever had. The left side was almost the same length that it was when I went in. The right and left sides are two different lengths by more than an inch. The very young woman that cut my hair sprayed water on the top layer of hair, flattening it. The under layer was still dry and springy. She grabbed all of the hair, wet and flat and dry and springy, and cut the entire side and then the back as large chunks.
She did not dry my hair. I had to leave like that. When the top layer eventually dried and became springy again it was, understandably, considerably shorter than the under layer. The right side also goes "uphill" toward the back. The hair there touches my shoulder. The left side back is considerably down below my shoulder. It is awful.
The very young woman had short blond hair, and she had burned her own left temple with a hair straightener just before I arrived while she was sitting in a chair killing time by playing with her own hair. One would think Great Clips would be concerned about its employees playing with the equipment while on company time, and the risk of them injuring themselves while doing so. One would also think that Great Clips would ensure that they had properly trained and qualified personnel to ensure that its customers receive at least adequate service. My hair looks like a maniacal lawn mower attacked my hair. It is a mess. It is very noticeable. I have had strangers ask me why I chose the style while I have been out shopping. I have explained what happened and where it was done.
I contacted Great Clips through its website the next day, on 10/15. I received a response from crs@ll.net three days later, on 10/18. The person wrote: “The Great Clips Salon you visited is a franchise and is independently owned. However, as the franchisor, our primary goal is to ensure good, consistent service at every location. We will contact the owner of the salon about your experience, and you can be assured they will appreciate your feedback and will be in touch with you very soon. Please accept our apology for your inconvenience. We value your business and hope you will give us another try.”
I was patient. I waited until the beginning of December and, having heard nothing from Great Clips, I contacted the Better Business Bureau and filed a complaint. I received an e-mail response from the BBB on 12/5 simply saying that my complaint had been received. It is now late December and I have heard nothing from the BBB or Great Clips. I am writing this to inform people how I have been treated by Great Clips so that people can be informed about how the company does business.
It hires very young people that clearly, based on my experience, do not know what they are doing and act irresponsibly with the company equipment and their time while on the company's time (remember, the young woman burned herself while playing with company equipment just before I arrived). Be cautious everyone.

I have been going to this place for years to get my hair trimmed. I had really long thick hair. I had a bad experience on Sept 2009 where my hair was cut short, uneven, thinned out. I went back to talk to the manager, Jessica. She said the employee wouldn't do that since they know I only like a half inch off every time. This didn't do much good. Jessica trimmed it up the best she could. Now in April, I went back, talked to Jessica to see if she could trim my hair since I didn't want anything to happen like last time.
Well it was worse than before. Thin as thin gets, uneven and of course, she took off more than 1/2 inch to an inch. I am very upset! My hair won't hold a pony tail or anything. Very thin. Jessica is a manager at Great Clips, she knows that I never want more than a 1/2 inch to an inch off. I talked to her beforehand since I didn't want any more problems, like last time. At this point, I feel like she violated our agreement, is very unprofessional as a manager and did exactly what I asked her not to do. Is there anything I can do?

I was forced to pay for a horrible haircut and had to go get another somewhere else.
