    Mary **. Michelle styled my hair before and did such a good job that I waited for her last Saturday. This time when I showed her this picture of how I want my hair I ended up looking like this. When I got home and took a good look at it I realized how disappointing it is. My hair was long enough for this cut so now I have to wait before I go to a really good hairdresser.

    Today I went to the Great Clips on Walnut in New Braunfels, TX with my Mom as I normally do. My stylist was Rocio and while her English was broken and I was worried there might be a communication problem, she had her name written on the mirror, which I thought was helpful. She spent a significant amount of time making sure she was giving me the cut I wanted and making sure I was content with the style. She handed me the hand mirror multiple times to have me check it, and I must say it’s been my favorite cut so far!

    On Monday, 07/14/2025 at 10:14am, I got a hair cut at Great Clips on New Garden in Greensboro, NC. It was, without a doubt, the worst hair cut I have ever had in my entire life. My hair was cut about an one and a half inches all over. I looked like a cartoon character. I am ashamed to even go to the grocery store with my hair like that.

    Great Clips Walkertown North Carolina stay far, far away... The stylists are evil and bitchy and they will take it out on ur hair! Went in for a "trim", she gave me a pixie manly haircut.... I got it fixed as my stylist was out of town when she came home and she said she couldn't believe the way she chopped my hair off as if I looked like a boy with a bowl cut! Total savages. I great clips will never ever get my business not this life nor the next... God knows, thank you and no, no great clips sucks¡

    I have long hair and I frequently have my hair washed at a salon. Today I stopped by Great Clips at Hudson Corners. It was the worst service I’ve ever had. She did not even scrub my scalp and had the audacity to tell me that she did. She was very rude and did not completely calm out my hair when she was finished. I am so disappointed and appalled at the poor service and the lack of professionalism of this girl that was masquerading as a cosmetologist.

    I just stopped at The Canfield Great Clips. I got there 15 minutes early as usual and got in line. I was 3rd in line. I registered my phone number as you must do because you can't book online at that time. After the first 2 people were finished my name was #1 on the list. Both staff members selected the next 2 people and passed over me. Why do you have this system if you are not going to follow the procedures on this system. My money is as good as anyone else. I have been going there for many years and the service gets worse each time. If you don't like your job change your profession. But if you do then you can at least do it right and try to be courteous and profession, just continue to be mediocre at your job and this is the result you will get a failing business over time because of low level employees not doing their job with no accountability.

    I work many 7 days a week as I'm sure many people do and people have to get to work so I consider this very unprofessional and inconsiderate that they did this to me and I am sure there are more people that experience this at this location. I will NEVER step foot in this location or any Great Clips EVER again. Ownership I doubt will read this or even care I am sure and neither will corporate. Nonetheless they lost me as a customer I guess that is what they are in the business of doing losing hard working loyal customers.

    Today we went to Coventry Commons for haircuts. Staff was short handed and stressed. Our wait time said 49 minutes. So we went to the Pet Supplies next door. We were probably there 15 minutes tops. When we got back the stylist India was enraged. We were skipped over. I apologized and said the wait was 49 minutes. She got loud on my husband and said oh you know how this goes. So she cut my hair and was very short with my brother in-law who is handicapped. My husband refused to get his haircut. India said the computers were wrong. Did I know that? No I don't work there. So we won't ever darken your doorstep ever again. I hope things get better for your staff.

    Just got a haircut from this location and I’m honestly shocked at how disrespectful the stylist was. I came in with a smile, I just wanted a basic cut, and from the second I walked in, the energy was off. The woman cutting my hair (Didn’t catch her name) had an attitude for no reason. She asked when I last came in, I said “about a month ago.” She checks the system and immediately goes, “It says a month and a half ago. You said one month,” in this condescending tone like she caught me lying. Like… really? Who cares? Then she asks if I want to trim the beard, and I misheard her because her accent was thick — and instead of calmly repeating herself, she snaps, “NO, that’s not what I said!” Like I’m bothering her by existing. At this point I’m sitting there thinking, what did I do to this lady?

    Then when I politely ask if she can cut the sides shorter, she gets defensive again and hits me with the, “I asked you in the beginning what you wanted and you said you wanted your cut like last time.” I was stunned. I even asked her, “Is that a problem?” She just coldly says “no” and keeps cutting like she was forced to be there.

    The whole time, her attitude was just nasty. I promise you, I was not being a Karen, this was completely unnecessary, IDK what I did to this woman. Very snarky and obnoxious. Not one smile. No sense of professionalism. Just cold, rude, and irritated by everything. And the worst part? The haircut was AWFUL. Uneven, rushed, and not at all what I asked for. I didn’t even bother asking her to fix it. I just wanted to get out of the chair and leave. If this is the kind of experience you get here, I’ll never be back. Great Clips seriously needs to screen who they’re hiring. There’s no reason for a paying customer to be treated like an inconvenience. Absolutely unacceptable. Honestly, I want my money back.

    This review only pertains to the two women working at Bardmore Promenade Great Clips today Tuesday 6:17. I showed them the picture that I wanted a haircut, simple haircut. It did involve scissors and a razor. They both told me. "Oh no! We don't use razors. It pulls the client's hair." I explained if the razor is sharp it does not pull the hair. "Oh yeah we don't do razors. We can't do that haircut."

    That would be the third person at Great clips at barmore promenade at Great clips Largo, Florida that told me they do not use razors. Poor service. Only gave them one star because I can't give a zero only for the two women working today before this. I've had good service at this Great clips. The two blondes I don't know who they are. I've never seen them there before.

    I had a horrible experience with Great Clips, DON'T GO THERE. So I was deciding to get a haircut so I went to great clips because it was pretty close to me. So I went there and I asked them for 1 inch off the top and a number 3 on the side, and they said ok so I trusted them. When they finished the haircut the buzzed my hair off. I couldn’t believe it, I was really mad because they completely messed up my hair. After this incident I never went back to great clips because it is a horrendous barber shop. I would recommend not to go there.

    I stopped in the Great Clips in River City today around 1:25 PM and the woman asked me if I checked in on-line. I said no, I was out running errands and stopped in. She said, "I am here by myself and a man has an appointment. I am only taking on-line appointments." I was sitting in an empty shop. I told her I am right here, right now. She just looked at me and started back to her chair. So I went to my car right out front of the shop and checked to see how many minutes it would be, if I went ahead and went on-line to check in. It said 0 minute wait!!!! So what does that tell you? No one was ahead of me. This is very bad business!

    I just got haircut at the Laredo Great Clips. There's a lady that never cuts my hair as I tell her, but everyone else does. I hate going with her, but being Mother's Day, I decided to give her another chance. I should've stuck to my instincts because she didn't disappoint me about screwing my hair again. I don't know her name it might be Sany, but my invoice number is ** at salon #5802. Never again will I go with her even if she's the only one working.

    Have used Great Clips before but this was first visit to this branch. This Great Clips location (Griffin, GA) was convenient, as are their store hours. My stylist Crystal did an outstanding job cutting my hair. She listened well and was able to trim my hair as requested. Will definitely be back next time.

    I was totally disappointed with my hair cut, I gave the hairdresser specific instructions on how to cut my hair but in the end she butchered my long hair.     I realize it's a gamble to get a cut at Great Clips. I've been to 3 different locations with only one of those cuts being successful. Floyds Knobbs, IN - excellent job! Terre Haute, IN - hair needed to be recut and fixed both times (2 different stylists). Mess my hair up once, shame on me. But twice - shame on Great Clips! And I hate how they send you out the door with wet hair. As a wavy hair girl, it's impossible to give accurate approval to be on my way. Won't go back unless I'm in the Floyds Knobbs area again.

    Worst haircut I have ever gotten. I asked for a 1" trim, she took 3" and rushed through the whole thing. Didn't take the time to see if the sides were even, just hacked my long hair straight across without bothering to put it up in sections or going back to check her work. The shampoo (which I had to pay $8 for) took longer than the haircut. My hair was DRIPPING wet and my shirt soaked when I walked out of there. The service was 12 minutes total from the time I walked in, to when I got back in my car.

    Everything about this place is wrong. I booked days ahead for a "style". I literally just wanted my hair curled tightly. First off it took 20min after my scheduled appointment to get sat at a station, secondly the stylist didn't even have a set of clips to clip my hair back with so she could curl it with a curling iron. She searched for clips for 15 min at least then came back with none and decided to improvise. Then she spent 45 min washing and drying my hair which literally should've only taken like 15. She would stop working and talk about her dead husband, dead mom, dead family members. Then continue working.

    This went on for 2 hours and 45 minutes. I was late for my friend's wedding and I was depressed as all get out because this woman literally talked to me about DEAD people for over 2.5 hrs. It was morbid and I'm so disappointed I had to pay $60 for that service and she looked at me all irritated when I only gave a $10 tip...DO BETTER. These employees are not well trained, the whole place is absolutely filthy, they don't even have the proper tools to offer styling, and they take WAY too long. Honestly I'd rather go through natural childbirth all over again than go back to this place to talk about someone's dead family.

    Sorry to say it seems like they just let anyone cut hair here. I'm sorry to say because some of the stylists are really professional and deserve a good review, but the fact is you just never know. I would say there's about a 70% success rate. It seems like they operate more on volume and a bad haircut once in a while doesn't matter. If the owner cares about her service, it would behoove her to keep an eye on what's coming out of her shop and try to ensure that all the employees know how to cut hair. Also work on retaining the good stylists. You seldom see the same people twice.

    Today I had a nice experience at the Great Clips in Plain City. I was a little embarrassed going in because for the last 2 years, I been cutting my own hair thanks to YouTube. But today, I thought I'd treat myself to a haircut by someone who knows what they're doing. A very kind young woman named Heaven cut my hair and she didn't make me feel bad about cutting my own hair and she gave me a great haircut! The last place in Joshua that I had my hair cut, really did a number on me. Hair was cut shorter than I wanted and very choppy. I only went there since Great Clips was not opened that day.     10/10 do not recommend. They butchered my kid's hair to the point of no return. I will never trust them again. Not only was it the first time I was able to talk my middle schooler into getting his shoulder length hair but now he’s refusing school as he got bullied the entire next day over it!

    Well I went over there again for the third time. The first time was good, they took my coupon, no problems. They did a nice haircut, the second time I asked for the same lady so I could get the same decent job and I had my coupon and after we get done she lets me know the coupon is not for this town. Not too pleased at all so I got another coupon they sent me and I told them I'd like them to check the coupon out before I get my haircut cause I didn't want to get shafted again and they said they cannot check it out until you are checking out and that is the scammiest scam I've ever heard.     My husband and son went to the Great Clips in Alcoa today and he came home with a line on the back of his neck. When I asked him what it was that took a photo and showed him. He said at one point during her cut he had burning on the back of his neck. The person's name was Autumn who cut his hair.

    Horrible experience. Workers there know nothing about cutting hair. Asked for a low taper fade. All they did was shave the top of my head. 0 stars. I wish I could sue them but I can’t. This isn’t the only time I went there before and they cut my ear. But I'm still going. I was growing out a mustache and strictly told them DON'T TOUCH IT and they cut that too.

    The worst haircut experience I've ever had. I paid 18$ plus 5$ tip for this. I can't believe I walked out looking like I had an accident with a pair of scissors. I could have done an excellent job myself in the mirror, and free and left there with hair all over me and my shoes and face, ears. Itched all day and it actually ruined my day because I was in the best mood until then. I will have to cut it myself now in order to be seen in public. GOD bless Alexis and I hope she can be a better stylist or find a new career. We should get what we pay for. At least a good basic haircut. I flushed away 24$ down the commode. That's 3 hours work it cost me at minimum wage is what I'm paid for my job. Hard times making a living. High prices like these are ridiculous also.

    We should do onto others what we would have them do to us. It's the Golden Rule of Jesus Christ. And I certainly would expect a review like this one if I did the same job. We should do each job or anything else we do, as unto the Lord. As working for the Lord. As we are serving each other, his dear children. Thanks for letting me express my evaluation.

    Great Clips doesn't take appointments. "Checking in" doesn't make any sense to me. I waited 55 minutes in one shop and people were walking in and being served ahead of me. I finally walked out and went elsewhere for my haircut.

    Probably the worst place to get your haircut. I have been going here my whole life, and there have been a select few people who are good, but the majority aren’t. These people don’t know what you are telling them, and honestly don’t know how to cut hair. I always go in and ask for a slight trim up. And then I walk out of there every time with something short of a buzz cut. They are horrible at fading, cutting to a certain length, and almost anything to do with hair. Although they are great at chopping it all off. Don’t waste your time, and instead spend the extra ten dollars and go someone where they learned how to cut hair.

    75 mile round trip for nothing! Used the app check in and received text saying up in 15 min. Arrived 12 min after text to find I was not on the list. Would have to wait another 45 min even after I showed the text to the staff and the time received. In short don't waste your time at the North Atherton location in State College PA, they don't know what they are doing. Will try Williamsport tomorrow, no problems there.

    I had a pixie cut that I paid over $100 (certainly not there) for that was growing out. Just wanted hair trimmed around my ears and the back cleaned up. I had a bad experience with Great Clips before so STRESSED what I wanted done and mentioned the bad experience. He said, don’t worry. I gotcha! Boy, did he. It sounded like he was cutting too much. He wasn’t using the normal scissors. I kept touching my head. He didn’t section my hair and was cutting some of the top. Whatnda!

    I went to Great Clips in Lake Oswego, Oregon for the first time and had literally the worst customer service experience of my entire life. An older ** woman (with bleached blonde hair) cut my hair. Because Jenne had never cut my hair before I started off by showing her a few pictures of my own previous haircut so she would know what I wanted my haircut to look like. I have a short, straight, bob-style cut. Then I began to explain to her that the biggest problem previous hairdressers have with my hair is that the back is actually curly therefore it's hard to get it to lay flat.

    I tried to tell her how they would ultimately cut the back of my hair but she wouldn't allow me to finish talking... She cut me off and rudely, angrily said she had been cutting hair for twenty-something years and she knew what to do! I have stylists who have been trained at prestigious schools (who get paid $100 or more plus a tip) to cut my hair and they struggle to cut the back of my hair in a way that gets it to lay flat. They spend time combing through my hair, both wet and dry, to understand the way my hair curls and where the cowlicks are, etc. But Jenne defiantly refused to even look at it or discuss it with me. She seemed angry at me within the first two minutes of sitting down in the chair and I had no idea why.

    Then when Jenne cut my hair she never combed it or wet it down or anything. She simply cut all the way around the bottom in a straight line and was done with my haircut in less than 10 minutes. I was stunned. Nobody has ever cut a bob like that! It was blunt, heavy at the bottom, didn't lay flat, and didn't look anything like the picture of my own haircut I showed her. When I politely explained to her that it was too blunt, and the ends needed to be rounded so my hair laid flat she got angry with me, crossed her arms over her chest, turned her back to me, and said my hair looked fine and looked exactly like the picture.

    Smiling, I politely tried to explain to her over and over that it was too blunt and heavy, but she got angrier and angrier. Finally I got my phone and showed her the picture again, and told her to look at my hair in the picture and look at the way my hair was now, and see the difference--there was a big difference. She got mad and said I was showing her a different picture of a different haircut. I told her it was the same picture. She said it wasn't. I said, okay, just try to make it look like this. She sprayed the side of my hair with water and said now it laid flat. Incredible! Over and over she literally refused to fix my hair, and she repeatedly walked away from me with her arms crossed over her chest, and turned her back to me.

    A couple of times she even left and sat in a chair. It was astonishing that anyone would ever behave like that. I know I was not being unreasonable. I was beside myself and couldn't understand why she wouldn't give me the cut I wanted. I wasn't asking her to do anything complicated. I just wanted the same haircut that I always get. Eventually, she grabbed my hair and started quickly chopping away at the ends to "layer" it. It looked slightly less blunt, but now the layers were choppy. I thought I better quit while I'm ahead because if I let her cut anymore of my hair another hairdresser won't be able to fix it without cutting too much off. By that time I resigned myself to the fact that I was going to just have to go to another hairdresser to get my usual haircut.

    I paid for the haircut. Jenne never said thank you or have a nice afternoon. She was completely silent. For the first time in my life I didn't leave a tip. Normally I leave a 30% tip. I went home and my husband, who knows nothing about cutting hair, had to help me fix my hair. Unbelievable!

    I'm horrified by the owner and older staff's racism and cruelty to their younger staff. Absolutely disgusting. Never spending a penny here again. First of all the staff member was a minor. Second of all it's 2025. Do better or don't expect customers at all. Telling everyone I know to go to first choice or custom.

    Ok so I went in to have the back of my hair trimmed. I told her 1 1/2 inch be taken off the back as I was wanting my hair to be all one length. The sides were still too short but she trimmed them anyway. She took off maybe 1/4 of an inch and I said no to take more off the back. Again 1/4 taken off. Again I said no take more off until finally enough was taken off. Then the left side stuck out funny and she said it was because of the way I sleep. It wasn't sticking out til she cut it. I told her to fix it. Stressful experience and sometimes she would leave me with wet hair for 5 minutes only to have to wet it down again. I knew I was in trouble since she asked me if my natural hair color was blonde. My white roots showed and I am 69. Normally I have a good experience here but this girl was young and inexperienced. Next time I will get someone else. This was at Defiance.

    This was my 3rd time going to the Great Clips here in town. The 1st time was great, 2nd time was ok and the 3rd time was a disaster. I took a picture of a new style, and she said my hair was too fine. I then said pointing at the middle of my neck to just do a Bob. I think she was very confused this time and now I have 1/2 an inch over most of my head. I have bought a wig that will arrive in a few days. Called corporate 2 times and they were nice and said the owner of the store would call me. Never called. Buyer Beware!

    Frank at the Kirby and Poplar location in Memphis knocked it out of the park today w/ my haircut!!! Haven't cut my hair in over 2 yrs, so it was super long. I showed him the pic of the cut I wanted and he told me the pros of that cut for my facial structure and how he thought it was gonna look great on me. Started off pretty great in my book!     I requested a short haircut on 08/27/24. The stylist looked new and apparently did not know what she was doing. When I got home, I noticed that she did not cut my sideburns at an angle, as requested. Then on both sides of my head, she forgot to cut and blend in. Good thing I know how to cut hair, because I had to go through and correct HER mistakes. I will not go to that Great Clips again! Bad vibes! This was at the Great Clips on County Farm Rd., Wheaton.

    I had an absolute terrible experience at Great Clips Normal, Illinois. Tyra butchered my hair. She did not admit it. She blamed it on me. I have a disability that I cannot even lift a glass to my mouth. Tyra thought it was funny. SHE could not contain her uncontrollable EVIL smile big smile; thought it was funny that I'm shaky.     I’m writing ✍️ to express a negative experience that I had in the Great Clips Salon in Ponte Vedra on A1A on Friday at about 5 o’clock. I went into the salon to have my hair washed. I was not getting my hair blow dry so the stylist worked on getting the water out of my hair. I really enjoyed the stylist. I think her name is Natalia. When I was preparing to pay out, the supervisor, demanded for me to pay more money because the stylist spent some time with me. This supervisor made a scene in front of customers which embarrassed the stylist that was working with me. I would’ve had no problem paying any extra money, but the supervisor was very rude and had poor communication skills. I noticed a couple customers walking out because of her attitude. I believe her name was Sarah.

    I went back to get my receipt and I wanted to make sure that the Stylist got a cash tip and I let the manager know I didn’t appreciate her reprimanding the stylist in front of customers, the supervisor began to speak rudely to me and did not hear my concern. I would have gone back for more services; however, I don’t appreciate a supervisor with poor communication skills and mental health issues, taking it out on the stylist and customers.

    My wife went in for simple pixie cut, they said no problem and they said they knew how to use a razor to cut her hair…I am floored at how bad they did, it looks like a 2yr old cut her Barbie doll's hair!! She blunt cut it horizontally, too short here, too long here stragglers all over her head. I mean She can’t do anything with her hair at this point, not even wear a hat!! I have never been so disappointed and felt lied to! The stylist knew she messed it up and hurried us out the shop really before my wife could even see it! My wife is in tears!!!     Worst haircut I've ever had. She was very friendly and chatty, but was done in about 5 minutes. She didn't even ask about my part! She parted it down the middle and went to town chopping my hair. One side is completely different than the other and it's very hard to make it look good. I went back the next day and had someone "fix" it the best she could, but 2 weeks later, I'm still hating it and having a hard time not feeling bummed.

    Apparently an "open" sign, lights on, an unlocked door and hours on the window mean nothing. A woman sitting inside, wearing an apron, texting on her phone at 7:59 (opens at 8:00) tells me they "are not open yet". Would not answer me asking if I could wait inside. Wow. Why would I want this woman to cut my hair? I should have, and left no tip. This was where I went to for years; never the same people working there. No "Hello, could you give me a few minutes?".     Never again. All new people, so no one knew what we normally get. Beyond that in this day and age of technology why do you not have a cloud service to store pictures of the hair cut people do get? "Hello, did you like your haircut today? Would you like to store it in our computer for future use?" Better yet when an adult and child enter stop taking the parent first. Get the kid settled first, then the parent. In what world does it make sense to seat me first, start cutting, then ask what my son gets.

    You butchered me and my boy's hair. He looks like he got it cut at home. The lady that cut his hair look like she owned 9 cats somewhere. The lady that cut my hair was painfully slow like she just got out of school. When I first got in the chair I told her DO NOT THIN MY HAIR, by the end of the cut she had thinning scissors in her hand. $42 total for crap we didn't want. We will find a barber for now on.     I asked for 1 1/2-2 inches to be cut off my hair. Hair was down to mid-back. Aila cut it in a layered fashion with the top layer about 3 inches long. I told her that I wear it in a bun each day to work but now it is too short for that. This is the second time that I have asked for a simple haircut at Great Clips and the stylist has cut off way too much. It will take me a couple of years to grow it back out. So disappointed as I dislike going to salons that I have to make an appt in advance, but if it means getting a professional cut, I will start making the appointments.

    I have been going to the same GC for 5-years with generally 3-star results. But when the wait time was 2-hours on my day off, I decided to try a different GC in the area. I requested a light trim, like a half-inch. The stylist said, "According to our records, you are a “6”". I asked her to explain and she said it was just a style of haircut. At that point, she pulled out an electric clipper and cut off way too much hair. I haven’t had a haircut with a clipper since I was a kid. I finally had to demand that she not cut off any more hair.     I was at Great Clips in Trail Creek Village yesterday 5/18. Very basic haircut. Just cut my hair a little shorter. Just a 3 inches shorter. The stylist name was Tammy according to my receipt. I noticed she just spray my hair with the water first then start cutting my hair and just after 10 minutes she said, "It's done." My hair is so wet. I even asked her, "Will you not at least dry my hair? It's still wet." She replied, "We are under staff" and she could not do it. She is soooo horrible, I think she was at a wrong profession. Very unprofessional! So I left. I was almost in my car when I decided to go back because I really felt so bad of how I looked.

    I was assist by another hairstylist and I told her about my complain and when she saw me she came forward. She left her client on the chair. She told me the same thing. They don’t blower because they are understaff, honestly only 2 people in the waiting area, not even 11 am in the morning. I told her, "If I only knew this is how you gonna cut my hair I could have just cut my own hair." The other stylist said, "Ok don't worry. I will fixed it" and she usher me where to sit. She blower my hair until it was dry. I was asking for too much. I have. Video of how I looked like when I went out of the door. I would love to send to to whoever the manager or owner of that salon in Trail Creek Village in 690 Highway 29 N. I am so disappointed.

    My wife recently visited this Great Clips and had an extremely disappointing experience with one of their hairstylists, Meredith. Throughout her visit, Meredith repeatedly made derogatory comments about my wife and the way she smelled (note: she was freshly showered), who, it bears mentioning is an ** woman. Not only were these comments disrespectful and hurtful, but they were also racist micro-aggressions that have no place in a professional setting or in society at large.     Took my granddaughter to get her hair trimmed. The hairdresser Maria was advised to (( only CUT 2 off the back!)). My granddaughter is 6 years old. At no point was the hair dresser ever told anything else to cut but 2 inches off the back! My granddaughter had beautiful hair and NO bangs!! My granddaughter told the hair dresser she wanted bangs!

    Any good hair dresser would stop and go ask the adult that brought the child and who is paying for the haircut!     Somehow every time me and my sibling have gone to Great Clips they never give us the haircut we ask for, even with a picture. The haircuts aren't complicated to the point I've been cutting my own hair and my brother's hair at home and we've enjoyed it. I'd show them a man's haircut and somehow I'd always leave with a pixie cut. Once a girl spent an entire hour cutting my hair only for it to turn out terrible. They're fine with professional men's haircuts as they do well with my dad. But in summary, there's nothing great about great clips. Lazy hair salon company if you ask me.

    I went to Great clips and Greensboro at shops at BRITTWAY. I got a shampoo, cut and blow dry. This girl had a problem. She’s in such a hurry to do the job that while she was washing my hair she kept cutting my ears with her fingernails. She was very rough with me. I am a senior citizen and I don’t appreciate being treated like that when she cut my hair. I don’t know what she was doing. She didn’t cut it like anybody else does in there. She just combed it out and cut the ends. Most of the girls at work there they pull my hair up on top of my head and then trim it which is the way I like it done.

    The girl's name was LEKESHA. She needs to be trained again to Cut hair and don’t be so aggressive when you’re washing someone’s hair. Like I previously said she cut my ears on both sides with her fingernails and one side was bleeding. When I go back the next time I’m gonna make sure I don’t get her because if she’s there I’m gonna turn around and walk back out.

    Went into Great Clips with 7 minutes til it was my turn, I had somewhere to be, but I wanted a cut first. They pushed my time back as soon as I came in then a boy came in the store and the flirting began, I got down to one minute and she came over and pushed it back 10 more minutes.     I have a very active little girl whom does not like to sit down for brushing. Went to Great Clips for a Bob that would be easier to maintain. Hair stylist first stated that she doesn't have to cut matted hair. Okay fine and then states how I should be taking care of it. It just felt parent shaming and I believe she could have gone about it a better way. Everyone is human and probably off day for her.

    This is the Clayton NC store. I get it. Sometimes people are late to work. By itself that's not a big deal. However, less than a week later the two ladies were wandering aimlessly around the store ignoring customer standing in the cold waiting to enter at 15 minutes after scheduled opening. Mind you, not cleaning or getting set up. Just socializing. The other complaint is I filed a complaint with corporate and they made sure to let me know it was an "independently owned" location. That independently owned location has yet to respond. So the corporate office doesn't have any better customer service. Moving on.

    Got hair cut at Hampton Village by Elvira. Did a 10-minute cut. It looked somewhat OK when the hair was still damp. When I got home it puffed out looking horrible. Went to Super Cuts the next day to fix it. Spent time on my hair rather than a 10-minute hack job. Will never go back to your salon. BTW - I did try putting product in my hair and still horrible. Most times hair stylists are social and talk to clients during cutting. Not her, but maybe cause only spent 10 minutes. But seemed a bit rude.

    Now that the prices have gone way up, it makes no sense to pay so much and then get treated badly by surly, lazy, staff!!! If I have to pay $24 I expect better, more polite, behavior. Pay your staff more and train them to behave better.

    Worst hair cut I ever received. The barber couldn't speak even English that I can understand. She was pushy and not very kind. Never had this so bad experience ever. She just shaved as she was shaving a nonhuman being. I will never recommend it. Don't waste your time or else you'll pay 25$ and get the worst haircut ever!!!!

    I went for the first time and asked for an employee who was recommended to me. The employee who attended me said it wasn't her place, so I asked for her name, and she rudely replied that it wasn't her. Still, I decided to have another employee cut my hair, but they DID NOT KNOW HOW TO DO WHAT I ASKED, and all I wanted was to run away from there. I DID NOT LIKE HOW THEY CUT MY HAIR, and I DID NOT LIKE THE TREATMENT they gave to the customer. Even so, I paid. It was my first time, and I won't go back. My hair looks worse. I DID NOT LIKE THE TREATMENT, AND I DID NOT LIKE HOW THEY CUT MY HAIR. They are very rude. I would give them zero stars if that option existed. I feel like I wasted my money. My hair looks worse. I do not recommend it.

    They are not skilled in cutting textured hair of tan, black & brown people. They cut hair and don't wash the customer's hair before (Or AFTER) using hair tools. Dangerously UNSANITARY! Never again! Not happy with my hair!

    I walk in and the night manager is closing out the register. It was 6:47pm. I said I could return in the morning. The sign should say, "We do not treat you good after 6:30 and we will make you regret it." But no the sign says 7pm. It doesn’t say. "We leave at 7." Haircut is bad. I knew I should of let the day manager cut it. So this lady, third booth on the right made both sides of my head different. Sideburns different. She was kind of shaky either because the night manager was rushing her, or she is just that way. She did say the manager likes to leave at 7. What a terrible job. So if you are reading this DON'T GO AFTER 6:30. Be careful who cuts your hair.

    This morning, I checked on a waiting list for the Great Clips location at 248 Eastgate Drive in Aiken, South Carolina. I signed in and was told that I had a 'slot' in 103 minutes. I checked over the next hour+ plus and it was pushed back. When I left the house for a ten minute drive I was told I was scheduled for 16 minutes from then. I got to the shop and was checked in. Though there were no names ahead of me checked in, there were three names listed. Over the next 45 minutes, two of those people in the "online" queue ahead of me showed up. This was after the time given for me, so their times had to have expired by then, though I know that the spot is held for several minutes past the time. I have been told 15.

    Then as one of those people was leaving, after paying, the woman at the desk asked a man who had just wanted in if he was whatever. Indeed he was, and he was taken ahead of me. I had already stood up to go to the chair. The man had to have been well past his check in time. I told the woman that I had to leave as I had a medical appt in a little over one hour. She said it was the system's fault. Maybe so, but she could have said something to the man just walking in like, "You will be next after this gentleman." After all, I had been told that I would be in a chair over 40 minutes prior to that. I had to leave. I am very upset. I have gone to the shop for about 8 years. I do not plan to go again. The lady from Bulgaria, who is the region supervisor (I don't know her exact title) is very nice as are most of the barbers. However, today the woman who was greeting and alloting slots did a very poor job in my opinion.

    June 7th got my hair cut at Great Clips at McGee's Crossroads, Benson, NC. The quality of the hair cut was one of the worst I have ever had. Uneven, scalped on the sides. I will never return to this location. The Stylist between customers sat in the chair and had a phone conversation while I was left waiting.

    I hate this place. This is the 6th time I came to get a haircut and the lady messed it up. I showed 3 photos and told her I wanted a long hair flip and she cut almost all my hair off. In the front is super short it looks super ugly and looks like the haircut I did not ever wish to have. I hate Great Clips. Don’t ever go there.

    I had so much hair I needed a haircut badly and I went in air with a coupon. I'm gonna go to a nicer salon next time. I should have done that all along. Every time I look at my hair cut that I just got from Great Clips a few days ago it upsets me. 1st off she shampooed my hair and then tried to comb it out and just made a big huge massive knot in my hair and she decided she was. Gonna cut all those knocks off and then she made another gigantic massive knot in my hair like most of my hair was in one big knot it was. Like a rat's nest. I have a or had long Auburn thick curly hair but it was so long that the curls weren't really there anymore and I always kept it in. A braid because it was so long. So so when I realized what she had done she had been shaking the entire time and I finally stood up to see what her progress was and that's. When I saw the huge massive knot. She didn't know what to do.

    I had to take over and get out all the knots itself which she was helpful in getting me conditioner and stuff like that. I actually felt pretty bad for her once The shock of what she had done wore off a little bit. Anyways so we get through all the knots and finally to the actual final haircut and one Half of my hair was longer than the other side like significantly so I told. Her? And when I got home it was still super uneven. It's so uneven and I got more than a Foot of hair cut. It's awesome and it's a little shorter than I would have liked. But that's fine my hair will grow back she just. She had no clue what she was doing. I'm not sure she's even gone to hair school. I mean anyone who's gonna hair school. You would think would be a little bit better than that.

    She was a nice lady but she was not a good hairstylist. One more thing it would have been nice to have an opportunity to relax get my hair combed and cut. You know I have a two-year-old baby so it was sort of a treat for me to get to do this. I hadn't got my haircut in three years. So my final recommendation is go somewhere else.

    3601 South Houston leave rd. Here Ricky works who don’t know nothing.. He is good at playing bad jokes and not even good at clean shave.. First I asked him to put some hair and he did something wrong and applied lot of water on head and started playing bad jokes .. I suggest another one in this store than him.

    I would give 0 stars if that was an option. I have been here several times with Lori cutting my hair... always an amazing job. I went in yesterday to have my hair cut for an upcoming special event. I was informed that Lori was off but was assured that she was an expert in the cut I wanted. After seeing quickly as she moved the mirror around... I needed to leave before I lost it!! The back of my hair was very short uneven choppy but just on the left side, long strands all over! The cut was not even close to the picture I showed her. I had to stop to get gas on my way home. While crying my eyes out pumping gas. I was approached by a lady who said "oh honey you must have grandkids who cut your hair while you were asleep"... "Uh no ma'am it was actually cut by a licensed professional!!"

    This stylist needs to lose her job and seek more schooling!! This was the WORST haircut I have ever got in my almost 50 years of life. Now I have a haircut as short of a man after I had a very good stylist try her best to fix it when I went in with hair to my shoulders! Thanks for making me feel so special and have to attend my special event looking like a man!!!! I have never in my life cried so much. Yes it will grow back but not for month and months and before my event. She should have to pay for extensions to put my hair the actual length I ask for!

    On May third I took my Mom for her birthday to the one on Hansel, and we both got haircuts. The two women stylist weren’t happy to see us as soon as they opened. They said, "What are you doing up before noon?" These weren’t the usual stylists we go to there. They only cut the back of both our hairs and the one used a straight razor on my Mom's hair without asking and she hates having it cut with that. They did a horrible job on both our hairs. I was so embarrassed because this was a gift to my Mom.

    Anyway I went up to pay and the tip came up of course and I don’t feel right not leaving one regardless of how bad so I pressed ten dollars. Well she took it upon herself to add ten dollars to each one of theirs. Why would I give a 10 dollar tip for a sixteen dollar haircut? And one I hated besides. I will not go back unless the older lady and the young guy are there. They aren’t lazy and give very good cuts and they are nice too. I would look into those two if I was in charge because I’m sure we aren’t the only ones dissatisfied.

    This place is a scam. They take your money and don't give you what you want in return. I don't even know why it is called "Great Clips," because nothing about it is great. I asked for a specific haircut, even showed them a picture of it, and they go on to do the exact opposite of what I ask. The barber asked me, "You think this haircut is good?" which makes me assume she doesn't like it. I still told her I wanted it, and she went on to ruin my next 3 weeks of life. Honestly, the only good part about going to Great Clips for a haircut is to find an excuse to wear a hood in class for the next 3 weeks to hide your hideous haircut. And if the teachers really care about your mental well-being, they will let the hood slide.

    These barbers get paid to do the opposite of what satisfies the customers. I ask for a little off the top, and they damn near shave the whole thing off. I ask for a taper, and they fade the entire backside of my head. But because it's cheap, I went back a few times in hopes of finding a good barber in there, but quick to find out, literally none of the barbers know what they are doing. It's like they mess up on purpose so they can get paid in hopes of us coming back. Go to Great Clips at your own risk, just know you will NOT get satisfied. I almost cried after my last haircut there, because it was honestly horrendous. If you don't care how your hair looks, feel free and give these scammers bank. But if you really want a good cut, Great Clips is not the way to go.

    The undercut that I asked for wasn't even close to the one they gave me. It was terrible. They didn't even make it straight. I'm embarrassed to tie my hair up because of the haircut they gave me. They charged me 22.00$ for it and it was bad. I wouldn't even pay 1.00$ for it. I'm never getting a haircut at Great Clips again. I hope this was helpful and have a great day.

    It is not good for teenagers because their style is different. They always make it too short from the top back and too long from the front so I would recommend going to a different barber shop. I have always hated Great Clips

    I only selected one star because there was no option to do zero. I got my haircut by Sam, she was acting put out, yawning complaining about how she had stayed up to late and I am a very understanding person, I get people have bad days none of this bothered me until I saw my hair cut. It’s not just a little bit uneven it’s so horrible that In order to fix it I had to cut my hair so short that I’ve literally been in tears for two days. When I go to a professional it’s for a reason.     The Great Clips in Ann Arbor, Michigan has a fantastic general manager who hires excellent stylists. I had a lopsided haircut from a salon stylist re-cut and fixed by Ruth at Great Clips! I went at a time when they were not busy so that my haircut could receive proper attention. Bring a photo and communicate, don't be in a rush, and tip heavily!

    I made an online appointment at the Great Clips Nashville location to get my hair cut on Wednesday at approximate 2:07pm. My computer showed there was a 35 minute wait, so I arrived at the location approximately 2:45pm only to be told by the ONLY hair stylist still left in the building that SHE WAS CLOSING GREAT CLIPS in order to pick up her child at school, that the other hair stylists had already left to pick up their children at school, and that I would have to come back another time!!! The location showed that there were more than a dozen names waiting for appointments to have their hair cut, the wait time showed 90 minutes, yet all the customers were kicked out????

    I told the stylist that I could not come back later. Her response was that her child is more important than Great Clips or my hair, and she "had to do what she had to do". I was told to leave in no uncertain terms, because she had to lock up. Is this what Great Clips has degenerated into? Employees closing locations in the middle of the day despite appointments? With zero thought or regard to their customers??? No notice whatsoever....Continuing to take appointments knowing customers are driving to the location to be met with closed/locked doors???

    Even worse, I wrote to Great Clips corporate customer service about my experience ....They blew me off and said that the store franchise owner would take care of me, but to reach out again in case I did not hear from him that day. I wrote them again on Thursday saying no one reached out....They gave me the very same run around. I wrote again on Friday....Still the same pass the buck....who cares? attitude. It's clear Great Clips fat cat owners keep raking in the money, but could care less about the little guy whose hair cuts have made them fantastically wealthy and transformed Great Clips into a $2 billion dollar company.

    This was at location 10706 Ironbridge Road, Chester VA 23831. Do not go here if you like your hair. The worst haircut I have ever received. I have been to other Greatclips locations and this has never happened. I told the lady what I wanted in detail, like physically pointing out how much of the ends to trim (approximately 2-2.5 inches) and how far up I wanted the layers to go. My hair was pretty long (Photos #1-4 taken the day before the haircut). I came out looking like photos #5 & 6, about an hour after the haircut. Not even a ponytail for the next few months can hide this because it is so choppy with a couple pieces much longer than the rest (Photo #7). I had been cutting my own hair for years, but came in looking to get long layers I thought I could not do on my own (Photos #8 & 9).

    I did not think I had to bring in photos as I just wanted to cut off the split ends and have some long layers put in. She chopped up my hair. It's like she disregarded everything I told her and did whatever she wanted to or had no clue how to do what I asked for. At that point she should have said she didn't know how to do layers. I could have done what she did on my own, and when I told her I cut my own hair she said, "So you came in for me to fix your mistakes". That's the point. I should have left.

    There were so many red flags that I can see now that I look back on it. A lady behind me, a customer's friend, said, "I'm freaking out for you", as the hairdresser was cutting the back of my hair. She stared at me thru the mirror as she was leaving as to say "get out now". I could not see what was happening on the back of my head. As the hairdresser started to come around to the front of my head where I could see she said, "Don't freak out, it just looks like a lot", while telling me that Greatclips only pays them hourly, my hair cut was equivalent to 8 hair cuts because it was so thick, they have to buy all their own supplies so they rely on tips, and the blade she was using to cut my hair she could normally use for a few clients, but not with my hair.

    She succeeded in making me feel bad for her as I tipped her more than I should have when leaving thinking it wasn't too bad because my hair was still pretty wet. There have been haircuts where I haven't been 100% satisfied before, but none turned out like this. I had never seen anyone cut a whole head of really long hair with just a straight blade before, but I trusted she was the professional and knew what she was doing. She said it was the tool she preferred to use for her craft. I Googled it once I got home and that's probably not the tool she should have used on my hair. Her job is to look at the client's current hair & what they're asking to be done and make an educated decision on what tools to use.

    I had never gotten a really bad haircut before, so I wasn't as alarmed as I should have been. She was throwing my hair over the top of my head to the opposite side, so I couldn't see what was happening. She was spraying my face and putting my hair in my face more than any other hairdresser I've had cut my hair. I'm starting to think now she didn't like me or didn't want to cut my hair. At the end she put some product in my hair and threw my hair around some more, so I couldn't see how choppy the layers were.

    As I got home and it dried I could see the damage that was done. I could have done a better job myself. There is no fixing this because too much has been cut off. Photos #10-12 is later that night after getting the unwanted body/poofiness out of it from the product she put in and really getting to see the damage. It looks like I let a kid cut my hair. I will have to wait months for it to grow out. Years for all of it to grow close to what it was. If you decide to go to this location I suggest choosing someone else to cut your hair. She was the first booth on the right directly behind the register as of 8-6-22. The ** lady with dreads.

    I had my hair cut today, 6/9/22 at Great Clips in Yulee, Florida. I had a short wait and staff seemed nice at first. I was very clear about how I wanted my hair cut but the stylist either didn't know what she was doing or just didn't care what I wanted. When she was done my hair looked like it had been chewed by a rat! I just wanted a simple inverted bob - shorter in the back, longer in the front and chin length. It's now crooked and layered EVERYWHERE with big chunks of hair missing. I told the stylist NO LAYERS as my hair is very fine. When she was finished I said "this is not what we talked about". She just said "I'm not going to argue with you". Now my hair will be hideous for at least 6 - 8 months. DO NOT get your hair cut here!!!

    I was at the Stillwater, MN shop yesterday and Betsy cut my hair exactly the way I asked and I couldn’t be more pleased! She was very friendly and asked many questions before and during my cut, to make sure it was just right. She was very nice and while I was checking out a lady came in and was extremely rude, demanding haircuts and said she had an appointment, they checked in online and got there 30 minutes early, no appointment and when Betsy said it was going to be a bit the lady went crazy and stormed out saying not nice things. My stylist was calm but shaken by this, I was happy to see she handled this situation in a professional manner. I will go back again and will use the app for check in and arrival time, as intended.

    Great Clips is fine for "sports" haircuts or short styles, but not if you want a specific cut. I got an individual that had a slight disability/disadvantage, no big deal! I figured if they couldn't cut hair, they wouldn't be working here! Well....I was wrong. My hair came out heavier on 1 side, it was un-even, didn't lay the same on both sides and I had to go back for a re-do.... BIG mistake. My hair is not what I wanted and it's still un-even. I'd go back to have it "fixed" by someone else, but it's already shorter than I cared for and it would just destroy my hair further. I'll be waiting for it to grow out and then go to a salon to get it fixed. I will not be going back to Great Clips!!!!

    I am COVID conscious and respect one's right to be vaccinated or not. According to the hairdresser at Great Clips it is against HIPAA for me to ask for a hairdresser that has been vaccinated. If someone is going to be that close and breathing on me I would prefer they be vaccinated, just a choice. I work in the healthcare field and just to confirm read up on HIPAA before writing this review. So if you are auto immune I would certainly stay away from Great Clips. I

    This was the worst haircut I have ever gotten. I look like an idiot and my girlfriend broke up with me because of it. I told them to take 1 inch off the top and fade the sides and she couldn't even do that. Do not walk into this place and think you will come out looking fresh, you will hate the way you look!     So I went in to Great Clips Rio Rancho, NM today for a bob haircut. The Bob is very big thing right now and it’s unbelievable that she didn’t know what I was talking about. Basically it cost me an excessive amount of money to get a trim. I said that to the “haircut artist” and she said no. That it was a bob. I just want my haircut the way that I want a cut!     BEWARE: Laura ** and others at a Great Clips are idiots and malicious and corporate did nothing about it when I complained to them: 1) They had a mask mandate but didn’t care if people wore their masks. 2) They didn't care when I pointed out their double standard when making me wear a mask while 3 others didn't. 3) They called the police and Laura ** lied to them saying "I refused to wear a mask." 4) They tried to make me leave despite my son still getting a haircut. 5) When I tried to apologize for getting upset with a gift and a letter, they called the police to put the gift and letter into evidence.

    I went to Great Clips on Deep Lake Road on Aloma and the stylist over there was completely rude. Not professional attitude at all. She not only finished the job properly but also gave unnecessary comments to my hair and advised me for no reason. I am never going there again and won’t recommend it to anyone.

    I have a Complaint about your Service in the Westport Great Clips Location, Kansas City, Mo.. I tried to sign in for a Haircut at 9:00 AM Saturday 10/09/2021 and could not sign in because the Signin Portal was closed. I waited until 9:05 AM and still could not because the Portal was still Closed. I tried again at 9:07 AM and the Portal was still closed. I just decided to make the 10 minute drive to that location. One person was inside when I arrived at about 9:17 AM. The Stylist asked if I had signed in and I explained why I had not and she recorded my Name and Phone number into the computer. Two more customers came in who had signed in after I was already there and waiting and they had signed in by now 9:20 AM. But both these customers went ahead of me. I was Livid.

    This is a wrong Policy to have when I tried to sign in Online and could not because the Portal was not open on time. I was being made to wait because I did not (Could Not Signin) with the Online Portal. I was extremely upset by this poor Business Practice of Penalizing a Customer for NOT SIGNING IN!!!! I was signed in by the Stylist but was ignored and Two previous Customers went ahead of me. How can you stay in Business with this kind of practice? I will NEVER go back to Great Clips again and went to Fantastic Sam's and got a Haircut right away as just a walk in Customer.

    I had to share this. I have been a patron of Great Clips for some time. I go to the Garden Home location, in Beaverton OR. I have always been pleased and always leave a generous tip. Today I walked in, I don’t use the online booking, and was treated as if I was inconveniencing the stylist that treated me. First she advised me it would be a long wait, her tone was that that I should go somewhere else. Then she proceeded to ask if I knew how to use the online booking system, and to add the already condescending tone, she commented that she needed to teach “us” how to book online. I have better suggestion, if walk-ins aren’t really welcome, take down the sign. Supercuts got my business today!

    Went to Great clips in Archdale NC and was the worse haircut and unfriendly place I’ve been to. Walked in the girl Emma like phone number sit here. Never talked didn't cut bangs don’t thin like I asked. Put a mirror up how’s this. Was so uncomfortable I didn’t even want to tell her "uh not what I asked for". I asked her to thin it and she clipped a few strands on bottom of hair. Never will I go back or refer anyone here. 15 bucks I should have thrown out the window cause the same results. First time ever I didn’t leave a tip. Got home my husband said thought you were getting hair cut. I'm like I thought so too. If you work with the public you need people skills and learn how to cut hair if you're a hairdresser.

    I went to Great Clips in Oak Ridge TN. I took a photo of the style I wanted. When I went in my hair was 4 inches below my shoulder and I wanted it cut to 1 inch below my shoulder. I told the stylist how I wanted my front bangs cut. She totally ignored my request and the photos and cut my hair to 3 inches above my should and I had to reminder her 3 times about my bangs. She told me she could not do the cut because I would not work (because of the poor way she had cut it) and left my hair in a mess. I have worn my hair in the style I wanted for many years and I know that if it is cut properly the style is nice. It is not a complicated style.

    I could not believe the poor ability of the person cutting my hair. I cannot go to another business to get this mess corrected because I will be left with hair cropped so short that it will look like a man's haircut. I now have to wait for a year to get the style I wanted because this is how long it took my hair to grow to the 4 inches below my shoulders in the first place. I do not advise going to this place in Oak Ridge.

    I went to Great Clips on 24th street and Baseline Road in Phoenix, AZ and got the worst haircut I've ever had. My hair was 3" long below my shoulders. I asked for 2" to be cut off and ended up with the length 1" below my ear. I am in tears. I thought these stylist had to be licensed!! Not only did I end up with really short hair, but it's not even along the bottom or even on both sides. I'll have to go somewhere else to get it cut even, but can't go for a couple of months, because there isn't much length to work with. The stylist said to me, "Old ladies like their hair short." I've covered all the mirrors in my house, because I can't stand to look at my hair. Unfortunately, I have to get my picture taken for my drivers license tomorrow and have to look like this. I will definitely be posting this under 'worst hair cut ever' on the website of the University that I work at and on my facebook page. I'll name names so no one else gets in this situation.

    Typically Great Clips is a good place, however with their new wait time because of covid it’s gone severely downhill. The app is terrible and is NEVER accurate. While waiting I. Lube they tell you one thing and then still wait another hour. Please fix the app to reflect real times. I DON’T recommend GC for now, at least not until they fix the app and can do better, more accurate time predictions.

    Had planned to 'Check-In Online', but noticed that the 'Wait' was at 0 Minutes, so simply decided to drive over and Walk-in. Upon arriving...the 'Wait' was still listed at '0' and there were no names on 'The Screen'. Took a seat.... was (slightly) acknowledged by stylist in the rear, but was (apparently) not noticed by stylist attempting to sell 'Product' to departing guest.... Screen list still has no names....Wait still says '0'....I've been sitting for 5 or 6 minutes... Now a name appears.... and a second...'Wait' now exceeds 20 minutes....

    When the 'Selling' stylist finally asked for my name, and entered it into system, it showed up as the third person waiting, at a potential 'Wait' of nearly 33 minutes. When I asked if I was now waiting 33 minutes instead of the 0 that was reflected upon my ACTUAL arrival to the salon...she said...'Well Yes'....so apparently...'Walking In to a salon, in person, even with numerous signage out front inviting people in...will get you NO service at all. Inattentive and Oblivious....and Minus On Customer. Neither of the stylists present could be bothered....

    I went to the Great Clips at Mayfair and South College Rd. I figured my first horrific cut was a fluke, the cut was terrible and obviously uneven. After that I went to the South College St. location where I was butchered like never before. Halfway through the cut, the guy says to me “just last week I was flipping pizzas at Carolina beach." It’s been months and I’m still getting stares, I even had to shave the back of my head to help it grow out in a sane looking way. The saying that you get what you pay for, is absolutely true at this place. NEVER AGAIN!

    Went into salon and explained I only wanted a very little clean up trim, she was explaining how important a consultation is so she knows what I want. I went into very detailed explanation. My hair was getting to the length I wanted. When I left there my hair was short again and I don’t think there’s 2 strands of hair that goes together. What a mess.     In over 60 years of haircuts, this is the first time a barber didn't comb my hair when finished. Simply asked if it was ok, then removed the cape and left. I later looked and the left sideburn hadn't been cut at all, it was still long and bushy and the left side of my head was not much better.

    Went to two Great Clips hair salons to get a hair cut and wasted my time. They would not serve me. The first one was very rude with me. The one at the plaza was not rude but they still would not serve me as I have a medical condition that I cannot wear a mask without passing out. I asked them that if I put one on and passed out if they would pay the hospital visit they refused to pay for it if I passed out. Very unprofessional for a business. Truly the fact that they will not compromise at all on someone’s disability this company should not be in business at all.

    I went to great clips to get my hair trimmed before an important interview on June 15, 2020 I showed the stylist a picture of the haircut that I wanted and told her not to cut the sides of my hair at all. I just needed the back trimmed And blended into the sides. She totally butchered my hair, cut the sides off, layered it way above my ears and it will take at least a year to grow out. I was so shocked when I looked in the mirror that I got up and walked out.

    The location I went to was 532 E 400 S Salt Lake City, UT. It happened 6/6/2019. The girl who did my haircut is named **. *Warning: do not get your haircut from her! Before going to the shop I called to ask if I could walk in and was told that I could and I could get a nice touch up from my haircut I got the day before for free. I wanted my hair thinned out and texturized because it was too heavy, but hard lesson learned is to never do this on curly hair. I go in and sit in her chair and tell her I only want a little bit off my ends. **'s first mistake was she did not give a consultation and did not listen to what I wanted and instead did what she wanted like I was another mannequin head to practice on. She did not part my hair even though it needs to be because my hair it is thick and curly/wavy.

    She starts thrashing and pulled my delicate curls with the thinning shears from my scalp down! I should have stopped her but thought she knew what she was doing but apparently not. Telling me she did not know how would have saved my hair but it is too late. I'm stuck with thin, frizzy, wispy hair that curls into nothing. I was so sick from this that I didn't have an appetite for months. I can't really style my hair too much with heat so I have to wait another 3-7 years to get it back to normal. It's almost as if she shaved my hair off only it was with thinning shears. I want I to get my hair super short or shave it all off but I'm to scared to. Worst hair salon experience of my life!

    I called corporate. The woman told me that the stylist was new. I went back in to get it fixed and the treatment I got was even worse because the manager was mad and was so rude. The manager raked my hair with her comb and "fixed" my cut which I still hated at the time. She did not talk to me or at least give me an apology. The only thing the manager told me was "Your hair is so deceiving." All the while she talked about her past haircut mishaps to the stylist next to her. I don't think Great Clips care about customer service. I'm glad the coronavirus pandemic stopped their business so that the manager and ** can find an essential job that teaches them about how to treat people with respect. I'm doing better now but I won't just trust any stylist cutting my hair from now on.

    Went for trim of “bob” haircut. Wanted “trim” of top layers and “1 inch" off bottom. What I got was very “choppy“ top layers with 3” off. And 3” off bottom. She was moving very fast and seemed not to notice each time she went back and forth from one side to another that she was just grabbing batch of hair and cutting at least half inch. I mentioned twice that I thought she was cutting more than an inch but she kept going. Racing through her moves and humming to sing on system. Her overall behavior and actions were not unlike my sister when she was high. At least it will grow out. But will take 4-6 months to get back where it was.

    Your check in app is costing you customers. It will not let you put in an arrival time. So when people read the walk-in's welcome sign on the front door, they walk inside to find a 45 minute wait. Ridiculous when there are no people waiting to get their hair cut. Your reservation system is clogged up with reservations for people who are not even waiting to get their hair cut. This puts artificial wait times on your walk-ins. If they are smart, they show you their finger and go to one of your competitors to get their hair done. Get a clue clowns. Fix your stupid app and your very stupid lazy workers. Wish I could rate you with zero stars. And employees are standing around like a bunch of clowns.

    I went to have my long hair cut short below the ear, took a picture of what I wanted. She never attempted to cut what I WANTED, she did a whack job, doesn't know how to cut hair, she did the appearance of doing a layered cut, but the back was cut short like a man's, the sides were more a blunt cut so not laying down properly just sticking out, worse cut of my 68 years. Plus with a sign outside hanging over the door for senior discounts, I was NOT given the discount. I was charged full price. Will NEVER go back again.

    I called the Great Clips in Fuquay Varina, NC twice before actually driving to the store. The first time I explained that I was new to Great clips, and I asked if I could make an appointment? I was told, "No. You just need to check in online." The second time I called was New Year's Eve, and I asked what are the hours today? I was told, "We close at 5." After going online and checking in I immediately headed to the store which was about 45 minutes from my location at the time. With traffic it took a little over an hour to reach the Great Clips location.

    After I arrive and walk into the store, I tell the stylist my name. She states in is not in the check in. I explained that I checked in online, and I proceeded to give her my name. She said that after an hour we remove the name from the check-in. I stated that I'm new to Great clips, and I called several times and no one ever mentioned this to me. I also stated that it took me so long because I drove from the other side of town. The stylist asked what services did I need. I stated a shampoo and blow out. Then the stylist stated we don't have time to do that today; we have 14 people in front of you. I said Ok and walked out of the store.

    I feel that I should have been notified that my check in was about to be removed if I wasn't present in an hour. Second of all, if I had been previously checked in, and it was removed without any notification I should have been accommodated in some manner or another. She could have apologized and offer a coupon on my next visit. The customer service was very poor, and as a first time customer, I will never return to this Great Clips again.

    I have been going to Great Clips for a while now. The first few times I went I sorta liked what I got but they did not deliver what I asked them to do. The past two times that I have gone have been not as good. For example I went to great clips very recently and asked for about one inch off and a little bit of face framing and all the hair the same length (besides the face framing), But the lady cutting my hair did not seem liked she really cared that it was what I wanted and was very rude to me and my dad who took me and kept telling me what I was doing wrong with my hair, she also kind of just hacked away at my hair (keep in mind that this is right before Christmas and I wanted my hair to look nice for the holidays) and the outcome looked like I had just done it myself and was not at all what I asked for. Also they charged us an extremely high price.

    I first went to Great Clips in November 2019, the hairstylist with purplish hair gave me a really nice cut, no waiting. I went back today December 11th, asking for her.     I got probably the worst haircut of my life at the local Great Clips. I had gotten a bad cut at my regular barber and was looking for something better. Either the girl I got was new or didn't know how to cut men's hair. Haircut was all uneven lengths. One area in back wouldn't lay down for three weeks because of the uneven short lengths. What's worse than a bad haircut?? It looked like someone had taken a dull razor to one side of my head. Very disappointed in Great Clips. Still searching for a decent barber.

    Online check in is there for the "hair stylists", not for the customer. So they put your name on a waiting list? So what? I recently got a "wait time" of zero minutes. But I was fifteen minutes away when I got the text. Of course by the time I got there I was fourth in line, which took about fifteen or twenty minutes before I got my seat with the ever-changing "independent contractor hair stylist". When I got the usual greeting of "Did you check in online?" I said "yes", but that I thought it was a joke. The "hair stylist" said "well, it got you on the list, didn't it?". Well, yes it certainly did. There were no other customers in the shop or on the waitlist screen.

    Great Clips is the Uber of haircut shops. I rarely get the same "HAIR STYLIST" more than once or twice. Then they disappear like snowflakes on a warm sidewalk. Your preferred haircut settings are "in the computer", so be careful because once you are "in the computer" you will always be "in the computer'. But your "hair stylist" will be history. They have also succeeded in putting all the other places in town out of business. You remember? The good ones that actually provided customer service.

    I decided to go to Great Clips to save a little bit of money as my hair is long, straight and slightly angled around my face. I thought it was hard to mess up my hair but the woman who cut it managed to do so. I told her I needed a trim (about an inch off) and wanted to trim the angles around my face. She instead cut close to 3 inches off and layered the front of my hair (it now looks choppy and not angled around my face at all). Worst haircut ever!!! I will not be back and now I will have to look for a higher end salon to go to and have my hair fixed.

My husband had Adella cut his, he asked a number of time to cut it OVER THE EAR, she kept telling him that she could take it off but not put it back on. I will be trimming the hair above his ears, as he paid this woman to do. -0- customer service. Myself, I took 3 pictures in to show Felicia what I wanted. But then there were 3 customers on the screen ahead of me so you do the math. Another 30 to 40 minutes. So I left. Later today I tried another store in Moore Oklahoma. Check in online.     I went to Great Clips about a month ago. The lady cutting my hair was wonderful. However the woman cutting hair beside of me decided to inject herself into my conversation. I politely told her that my conversation did not involve her. She was extremely RUDE. I decided not to return when that person was there, I go back last week. I check in and am texting my dying Dad's HOSPICE NURSE.

    ANGELA calls my name and I ask her to take the next person as I am taking care of something rather important. She goes berserk, starts yelling "take him out of the system" "take him out of the system". And she does. I go back to their website and check in again. It states 12 min. Wait. I thought that should give me enough time. She saw my name on the list and went berserk again. I got up and left. Afterwards I find out that she is a floor manager. What an UGLY person to have as the Face of Great Clips. Will not return until this rude and ugly individual is gone.

    I usually use the store in Ocoee close to home, was working in the city of Kissimmee Florida. Last week, needed a haircut at lunch break so I went to store #690. I'm easy a #2 on the sides, halfway up 2 inches on the top, cut straight across bangs in the front. Ended up with gouges all over my head, hair was about 2 inches off center and lopsided. Top was supposed to be 2 inches to hide my psoriasis, ended up being 1/2-3/4 inches and only half my bangs on the left side were even, the right side was gouged out. Nowhere close, not even in the same ball field.

    Ohh forgot to do back of my neck as well. Went to Great Clips in Ocoee Fl today to try and even this out as it looked like my 9 year old son could a done better. On top of this had to pay an additional 15 bucks just to try and salvage this. So $30 plus tip and I have no hair, really? I'm not a first timer here. I have found a few in my years that do fairly well. This Great Clips person at store #690 should not be in this business.

    Single worst customer service experience of my life. Truly. I kept expecting Ashton Kutcher to jump out and scream "You've been Punk'd!". The woman who cut my hair (wish I'd gotten her name) was exceptionally rude from the moment I walked in. Cut my hair in about 3 minutes and started blow drying. I asked if she was going to cut the hair in front and she said "You didn't ask for face framing!" Haircut was not good, but I really don't care that much about that part. She couldn't figure out how to operate the credit card machine. She said she couldn't get them to run at all. I tried 3 different kinds of cards from 3 different banks. Then she said they'd actually all been declined and told me I had to pay in cash because "All your accounts must be frozen"! (Hahaha!!!) So I went to Target (where my cards magically worked fine) to get cash and brought it back to her.

    For convenient sake only, I've gone to the same Great Clips for 11 years. Only once did they get the cut right, and that young lady really knew her stuff. But that's where the compliments end, because today, I was enjoying an otherwise pleasant chat with the hair stylist there, and I was very specific about how I wanted my hair cut...just as I always am. "Cut off as much as you can while still allowing me to comb my hair, and taper the sides and back." Any barber in town would know what that means. Well, once again, not only did she get it wrong, but 10 minutes into the cutting, she asks if "I'd like my eyebrows trimmed".

    I said "No, but my wife would". She proceeded to trim my eyebrows when I felt a sharp pinch on my left eyelid. It wasn't that painful, and I didn't flinch, but when I was getting up from the chair, she had the audacity to ask me if I "knew I had cut my eyelid". I said "No", and without making a big deal of it, I paid the bill and for the first time in my life, I left without leaving my customary 30% tip. In the past, I left that even when I didn't get a great clip (no pun intended), but when she attempted to deflect blame, where she clearly was responsible for the blood on my eyelid...I left, with a commitment to never return. Getting a mediocre haircut or at times, even bad haircut was one thing, but I'll not reward their total lack of professionalism with any business in the future.

    I requested a shag haircut to rid unruly kinky ends. I cut sides of my hair. Showed pic to Samantha. She cut ends, dried hair. No shag, bridging, layering or hairstyling. St Francis, WI area. Beauticians do their own thing here. I recommend going elsewhere.

    I received the worst hair cut ever at Great Clips. The hair stylist didn’t understand English and when he understood what I wanted, he just started chopping off like a novice. So I ended up with shorter hair on one side and longer on the other. It is good only for men’s haircuts or trims. Not for women’s styles.

    Sophia is absolutely amazing. I'm very excited to say she has a heart of Gold. She even went as far blessing my sister that's dealing with cancer with a prayer ornaments. Only a blessed person will extend such love. She gets my hair cut perfectly each time. Sophia, I salute you and thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thanks again, I will be back.     At Great Clips 2902 Kirk Rd, Aurora, IL 60502 I had a hair cut today July 18, and was very disappointed. Worker was very unreasonable. She made me really feel low. I asked her before the start to make sure I do not get any any hair. She was very careless and I got the shirt full of hairs. This is not a big deal or an issue but her being rude and saying that it is only my hair and not anyone's else so it is fine. After I said to be careful she said that nobody died in her chair in her carrier and maybe I would be the first one. Such conversation was really depressing. In short I was very uncomfortable and not feeling safe at all.

    I’ve been growing my beard for 8 months and decided to stop in a Great Clips for a trim. I told her I didn’t want to lose any length of fullness. Just trim the stranglers and clean up the lines. She proceeded to thin the sides out by more than half, cut off an inch in length. Then left the bottom at such an angle. I have to go home and try fixing it myself. And I paid for that service!! Never again will I go to any Great Clips location. I guess if you need a beard trim, go to someone who can actually grow one.

    I went to Great Clips the Saturday before Father’s Day and had used the online check-in feature that they kept telling me about. Online, it said I had one person ahead of me and my wait time was at seven minutes. I drove to the location, pulled into the parking lot, looked at my phone and it said a two minute wait. When I walked in, the cashier told me there was three customers ahead of me and my wait time was a minimum of 12 minutes. I showed her my phone which showed two minute wait time. She said no. It will be at least 12 minutes. I told her to cancel it and I called the 800-number. Of course I had to leave a message because they were too busy to answer the phone, so I left a message stating I need to speak to someone right away.

    The customer service rep called me back about 30 minutes later and I told her the situation and she said she would send it on to the local office. The suppose the general manager of the location called me about an hour later and said she was going back to the store to review the tapes and would give me a call back. I asked her what good was that going to do considering I had already driven to their location, I had checked in online, and I was told the online app didn’t matter. Still waiting for a follow up call!

    I had my hair cut in the end of January where the stylists cut it so short it has taken three months to grow but I just said, "Well maybe the picture I gave her mislead her." I had used the same picture twice prior to that haircut and the other stylist managed to cut it correctly. So today 6/11/2019 my hair is now longer so I wanted a haircut and went in and the stylist washed my hair and when she cut it she cut nothing off. I told I don’t think she cut my hair and she said that I told her I was growing it out but what I said after the cut I needed to grow it out because it looked like a cut for a little boy. She looked confused so I said it was okay just leave it. So I paid 20.00 for Great Clips to wash my hair. At minimum the stylist should have asked questions not just assumed. I gave Great Clips a second chance but I will not return. First they chopped off all my hair then they don’t cut it at all and the second stylist's made me feel like I was asking for too much.

    Sophia was the stylist at the Great Clips in Anna, TX and she was the most unprofessional disgrace to the beauty service industry I have ever seen. They offer a shampoo and style and she was being very dramatic about how her hair was straight naturally and she didn't know how to use a flat iron. She then told me she could do it but might burn my hair off. This is inexcusable behavior for someone to act towards paying customers. She should be embarrassed and ashamed. They would be getting good business from me, but now I will make sure I tell everyone in the area how unprofessional they are. I have a big mouth, live in a big neighborhood and work in retail. What a shame! I will never be back. There are other places that will appreciate my business.

    I visited Great Clips to get blended layers in my long hair. I left with no layers and about 5 inches less of hair. Worst mistake of my life when it comes to choosing a place to cut my hair. I explained with photos and details what I want it. The hairdresser was rude and didn't listen to what I requested. Another hairdresser took over and she just proceeded to cut more hair than I ever wanted. Is going to take me at least a year to grown it back.

    My stylist paid herself an unauthorized tip via my debit card. This is unacceptable due to her bad cut during my previous visit. My stylist should not add a tip without my authorization or approval because her service was not satisfactory.

    My hair’s length was originally an inch or so below the shoulder. I told the stylist that I wanted my hair to be cut to the shoulder. I said that I wanted her to cut two inches off. She cut off about five and my hair’s length is now just below the ear. I woke up this morning and there were chunks of hair that were still five inches longer than the rest... I don’t think I’ll come back soon.

    I have been to Great Clips several times, and have been reasonably happy. This particular employee also works at Collins Road in Cedar Rapids, so beware there, also. I went on Saturday to Marion, Iowa, and said, "I want my entire head to be between 1 and 2 inches long." I pointed to a guy with a typical very short male haircut, "Not like that." "Oh, I won't do that." Then she proceeds to ask questions. I should have said, "One to two inches all over, is that hard to understand?" I got a compliment before I left the shop, and on the way home, I touched the back and found out it was less than 1/2 inch long. I had explained this is NOT what I wanted, but tough luck, this is what I got. I went home and cried like the last time this happened, 30 years ago. BEWARE OF GREAT CLIPS. You might get butchered.

    I called in for a haircut.... Ok NP. When I got there there only one person sitting there but I was told there was 6 people in front of me???? Was waiting for approx 15 mins. Then other ppl came in after me...but they had called in so they got priority???? If you call and you are there then you have priority... Let’s get it right. If there cut the hair.
