STAAR Alert has in-home and mobile medical alert systems without upfront equipment costs. Optional fall detection for either system is available for an extra $10 per month. If you want an in-home system to work over a cellular network instead of your landline, you’ll pay an additional $12 per month.

How does STAAR Alert work?

STAAR Alert is simple to use, no matter which system you choose. Each system comes with a button you wear around your neck or wrist or on a clip. In an emergency, you press the button to connect via landline or cellular network. From there, operators can reach out to emergency personnel, caregivers or family members.

  • In-Home Personal Emergency Response System: This in-home system comes with a base station, wearable button, power adapter and telephone cord. You wear the button as a necklace, wristband or clip.

    For an extra fee, your devices can connect by cellular network instead of landline. Other options include fall detection, a safe to store your home key outside and in-home installation.

  • Mobile Emergency Response System with GPS: This system lets you stay protected when you leave your home. You wear it around your neck or on a belt clip or keep it in your pocket or purse. The device has built-in GPS technology, which lets responders know where to find you.

    It comes with a charging cradle and has 36 hours of battery life. Add-ons include fall detection, a key safe, professional installation and access to an app to view battery life, check the location of your device and get push notifications to your phone.

    Jeffrey ** showed me how to use the the STAAR Alert necklace. Informed me on how it works and all that it can do. Very good instructions. He explained that it had a GPS and that I could take it anywhere with me. To a store or shopping, on a walk, to my family's home and it will be working for me the whole time. If I need help anywhere I can push the button and staar alert will know where I am and send help. Very impressed.

      Scott came to my place today to set up my device. He did a fantastic job setting it up and explaining in detail how to use it. He was very thorough, knowledgeable, and friendly. He came on time and called before he came to make sure it was ok. I feel comforted knowing I have this device but hope I never have to use it. I would give Scott ten stars if I could.

      Hi this afternoon a gentleman by the name of Fred came out to install my life alert, and I had to write this review due to the fact that I have never had somebody so kind and so comfortable to be around and I felt comfortable to ask him any questions that I had And he explained them in detail very well! Fred is a wonderful employee y’all have in my opinion, and he deserves a pat on the back! But he is a very respectful gentleman and a very good employee. Thank you for your time.

      Ena was fantastic, technician for Staar Alert was the greatest, she had set up the initial device which after a week we found out would not work well for me and my mobility issues so she had to come back to swap to the watch. It was smooth, She was very educational in teaching me the first one and this one and made sure I understood the new device before she left, she even was kind enough to put up with my over talkative dog while teaching me both times. Just a fantastic introduction to a product I have to use now. Even calling the main number the people there are kind and fantastic no matter what the questions are and make sure you are ok before you hang up. Ena gets a 5star plus from me and tiGGer, and thank you guys for making my situation a bit safer and easier.
