ResponseNow medical alert packages and pricing

ResponseNow charges an ongoing rate for its monitoring services, but this rate varies based on the device you choose and how far you pay in advance. For example, a monthly subscription for the Belle device costs $39.95, but you can save around five dollars a month if you pay for a year in advance and two dollars a month if you pay quarterly.

Here’s a brief look at the costs and features of ResponseNow's monitoring devices.

How ResponseNow works

All of ResponseNow’s devices feature a built-in two-way speaker and microphone that lets you communicate with an operator at no extra charge. Once you choose a model, you can select and purchase a monitoring plan directly from the company’s website or by phone. The equipment is included with the cost of your subscription.

After you've purchased your monitoring subscription, ResponseNow sends instructions with the necessary equipment, which comes pre-activated. The company will repair any equipment that fails due to normal wear and tear, and you can purchase device insurance that covers other damage or loss.

With ResponseNow, you can choose between three medical alert options:

  • In Home: The company’s traditional in-home monitoring system is water-resistant and includes a lockbox and the option to include multiple users. Although this option has a limited range, it's ideal for those who spend most of their time at home.
  • Belle: A basic mobile medical alert monitor, the Belle has a battery that lasts about a month on a full charge. The device is water-resistant, so you don’t have to worry about ruining it in the rain or the shower.
  • Belle X: This option offers additional features, like fall detection and an optional caregiver app, for added protection. It’s water-resistant, like the original, but its charge only lasts about one to two weeks.
  • Belle W: The only Belle model that comes as a wristband device, the Belle W includes optional fall detection and the optional caregiver app.

ResponseNow FAQ

Is ResponseNow a monitored medical alert system?

Yes, all of ResponseNow’s systems are monitored.

How do I install the system?

ResponseNow systems come pre-activated. Battery-powered devices such as the Belle range require two to four hours of charging to ensure the battery is full when you first set it up. In-home systems require an analog telephone line. Once connected, press the help button to test it. An operator will call you a day or two later to ensure everything is working and answer any questions.

Does Medicare cover a ResponseNow device?

Medical alert devices aren’t covered by Medicare. Medicaid may cover alert devices, but eligibility varies by state.

Can I take the device into the shower?

All ResponseNow devices are water-resistant and safe to wear in the shower. However, they can't be totally submerged in water.

Still have questions?

Does ResponseNow make a good medical alert?

ResponseNow is a medical alert company that offers reliable monitoring and products designed to protect older people. It makes a traditional home system and three different on-the-go models.
