I'm in my 80's and I put on some weight and my ankles weren't that strong, and I fell several times. I had a spell of falling directly on my knees. One of my lady friends fell out of the shower, and she slipped and she broke her hip. And she had to crawl like two rooms to get to a telephone from the bathroom, and her alert was on the bed and it didn't do her any good. It prompted me to get an alert, and she also told me to get one. I got the LifeStation and I'm thankful that I haven't had an occasion to use it. I'm paying for it and I'm not good at wearing it and I know I should. I have it at my bedside and sometimes, I put it on when I go out in the yard.
I've learned my lesson, though. I slipped down the stairs and on a wet pavement, and I didn't have it. I am kind of hardheaded, and it's my own fault. So, if I take advantage of the proper use, it's great. Other than that, I feel safe knowing that it's hanging on my headboard. And if I slip and fall downstairs and a lot of good, it's going to do me up there. I'm pleased with it. There were a few times when the cat has set the alarm on, and I've gotten a prompt call. LifeStation's service was there. I'd recommend LifeStation. It is a good thing to have in case you needed it.

I’m 86 years old and I live alone and I’m really very healthy. But my LifeStation has been an assurance that I have some recourse if I fall or if I’m here alone and something happens. I have my device on a chain around my neck, and it’s under my clothes most of the time. I’ve never even really thought about it but I wear it and go on because it makes my children happy to know that I have it.
Anytime that I have pushed that button to check in, the LifeStation team answer immediately. I had set the alarm off once and I was outside and I didn’t even know it. The firemen came and they were very on the mark and they had come all the way through my house searching for me. And one of them said they've already been through the house searching for me. And so, I felt that it is good to me. I recommend it from time to time and if someone notices I have it on, I tell them I was very impressed with them.

I got scared to death because my wife, just out of the clear blue sky, died. And so now that I'm living by myself, I thought I'd need somebody that would dial 911 if I had a problem. So, I got a medical alert system and have only used it to test my connection with LifeStation. It’s doing what it promised to do and their reps have been friendly and professional.

I needed a medical alert device. And I called LifeStation and the response was very good. When I called to check the connection, the people at LifeStation I dealt with were very helpful. I got unplugged, and for some reason, everything was going wrong here electronically, and they told me how to reconnect. I would recommend LifeStation to a friend. I haven’t had to use it at all but it seems to be reliable.

I have artificial knees and I can’t get up once I fall down, and I was falling down a lot. I was getting to the point where I was getting weaker and I was afraid of being alone. I bought LifeStation and I've had the button for almost two years now. I've used the button about six times and they were always for falls. One time, it was for breathing and I didn’t realize I had not turned on my oxygen that day. Their response time is in 10 minutes and I’m very satisfied with it. I definitely have fewer worries about falling down and I know I can push the button and get assistance right away. Also, I only test it when they tell me to and it works out real good. They’re very nice, they come in right away, and ask if I needed help. However, I can’t use it outside the house and the one they offer for outside the house and all over the world is more expensive. I hardly ever go out anyhow so I've no problem with the current button. I’m satisfied with it and I have a good experience.

I always wear the LifeStation and it's just once every four or five months that I'll remember to do a test to see that it is functioning. The couple of times I've tested it, they're very nice. They ask if I'm sure I don’t have a problem, or if I want to go over what I'm doing. I wear the device all the time and I know I have it on. But when an emergency happens, I never think to use the button, which sounds ridiculous. If I was in another room far away from the telephone, I might think to use it, but since most of the time I am in the living room where my telephone is, I just think about reaching for the phone. I don’t want to do without it and I wish I could train myself better to use it.

I live alone and my children were concerned. They figured it would be nice if I have something to push if I needed help so we got a LifeStation. My interaction with LifeStation team has been fine. I check the device every month for a regular check-in and my experience with them has been very good although sometimes when I check in, it takes a while for them to answer. Nonetheless, I feel very comfortable with the device and it’s reassuring that I have help if I needed it.

I have had two falls, one of which sent me to the hospital and I had some broken bones. My daughter lives with me but she isn't always here, so we became fearful that something might happen when I was alone. With LifeStation, I feel like I have help at the press of a button. If I press that button for help, I feel confident that I could reach someone. It does what it’s supposed to do and it works if I need it. However, the box has been acting up and the toggle light would come on. We’d push it off, and later we’d find the trouble light on again. We talked to them and they said the battery was getting low. They sent me the third button that I’m wearing now. Occasionally, that trouble light still comes on. A couple of days ago, I was just walking around and the box says, “Emergency, emergency.” So, I turned it off and that hasn’t done that again. But I’ve wondered what’s going on and should it be doing all that or not.

Having a LifeStation is convenient. The pendant I wear is very light, and it's a little bit waterproof too because I've gotten into the shower a couple of times with it. It's a good device and hasn’t given me any problems. I've tested it, but I've never had to use it in a real emergency, and the LifeStation team answers right away. Also, they’ve been very nice because sometimes my grandbabies would get in there and push the buttons and they respond to that. Also, I didn’t realize that the pendant has gone dying until they sent me a notice in the mail that the pendant needs to be replaced. They're right on it and it was nice that they care enough about their equipment to keep an eye on it. I've had LifeStation for a couple of years now and the price is noble. I initially got it because of my age and that I live alone. Overall, I've been highly satisfied with it.

I'm 80 years old and I live by myself. I've had the LifeStation for a couple of years now and having it is reassuring for me because if I do fall down, I have the button that I can press and get some help. I accidentally set the alarm off when I pressed against the cabinet and in my kitchen door. And their responses were really good, and I had friends and then the police come very promptly. Whenever I press the wrong button and LifeStation responded, they were all very cordial, pleasant, and ready to do the right thing. I had a good experience with them, but I would prefer that it worked outside as well. I may actually look into having something that works both indoors and outdoors because LifeStation has a limited possibility for that.

My mother had a mini stroke and she didn’t have a medical alert device before. After she got out of the hospital, we were concerned ‘cause she lived alone. The LifeStation team is very good. She's had their device for four years now. However, she accidentally set the device off two times and the EMF people came out. Both times she bumped it against something. She was by herself in the house and she didn’t even know the EMF people were outside. Because I was on a trip and was too far away, there was no way I could go and check on her.
Now she’s very hesitant to wear her necklace. She doesn’t want that to happen again. Also, now she has somebody that lives with her. It’s her son but we tell her to please put the device on. She puts it on because she knows that I am the one that’s paying for it. But she says she'll just wear it when her son is out of the house. It's limiting when she doesn’t wear it, and she does if she needs to. But people in their bedroom might fall asleep, and then lay on top of the device. She’s quite independent yet moving about, so I have concerns that if she’s not wearing it, it’s a waste of money. I still have to discuss that with her. Depending on a person's situation, LifeStation is a good thing for an elderly person to have, but they should also know about those little features.

I live alone in Oklahoma and my granddaughter who lives in Virginia ordered a LifeStation device for me. She got it unbeknownst to me. And because she thought I needed it, she was doing a good turn for me. I hooked it up but I never used it all the time I had it, so finally I disconnected it because I didn't need it. I only answered it one time when my cat got into the bedroom and stepped on the button. And LifeStation called and I answered and asked to be forgiven for my cat's behavior. While I was totally embarrassed because my cat had messed the button, the LifeStation team was very nice.

I've been with LifeStation for four years. I didn't have any difficulties, but I lost my husband and I am alone and my son and niece insisted that I should have something in case I should fall. My device is easy to use. All I do is push the button and wait for the emergency sound. So far, I've been lucky, and I didn't have any falls but I am getting older so my device comes in handy. I've never had to use it, but I check in and they check the box, too. The LifeStation team has been very good. If you're up in age and your health is poor, it would be a good idea to have a LifeStation. I would recommend it to a friend.

I had an incident where I fell and half of me was on the floor, and I lost consciousness. It wasn’t a heart attack but I had some blood test. So my children ordered the LifeStation for me, and I feel relatively secure with it. I always test it, but I don't always have it on everywhere in the house. When I shower and go to bed, it's sitting with the telephone on my desk so I can call 911 if I'm having a heart attack.
LifeStation calls very quickly if the alarm goes off. On one occasion, I had the device on my counter top and my maid accidentally pushed the button and I immediately went and turn it off. And then LifeStation called right back and see if I was okay. Even if you set it off and you turn it off quickly, they still text you. LifeStation is a little more expensive than the ones that can track you everywhere. But I don’t go that far from home and I usually go with friends or in my car. So if I have a problem, someone will come to my aid. And as far as my experience, I'm satisfied with LifeStation.

One time, I fell when I was getting up from a chair with no arms on it. I slid on the floor, crashed down and broke a hip. I broke another hip later and then a leg, but I'm still walking. I was in a house that has lots of stairs and I do what I can. My sister-in-law got a medical alert system for me and chose LifeStation. She did everything, which is so sweet of her, and she did it for me to stay in my home. And I'm really much happier here than being back in Ingleside, which I find really hideous. I wear the device all the time in my house and it's not in the way at all. Now, I go up and down the stairs, do laundry, wash dishes, do exercises, and walk to the drugstore. I've stopped driving which was a good thing.
I also test the LifeStation device once a month. Having LifeStation is a good insurance, even though I haven’t broken anything in two years. If I fall in the house and I'm not anywhere a phone, then I have a way to test it out. That makes all the differences and it's nice to know that it's there. Yet when I got a new key for the door and a new lock, there was something wrong with the key box but my nephew fixed it all up for me so it's all working fine now. I checked to be sure that one could open the little thing that contains the keys on the outside. LifeStation makes me feel secure and I'm all right.

LifeStation is okay so far but I have often wondered if I could have one that would reach out further because the medical alert system that I have reaches five thousand square feet. I wondered how much more it would cost to reach out further because that's what a person needs, more distance. Right now, I’m paying $32 a month and it’s coming out of my bank account. I’ve used the device very little but it’s good to know that I’ve got it in the house and it’s available for me in case somebody breaks in. That means it can be used in a lot of different ways. And I wear that necklace around my neck at night and at different times. I have never had to use it for an emergency though. But I've been trying it out because I want to make sure that it’s in working condition and their response was okay. They answer quickly. Reaching further would be the only thing that they should change and this needs to be combined along with their security system.

My mom is here home alone, and when I’m at work, there’s no one else here. We have a little piece of property that’s not very big but the LifeStation with the necklace gave us coverage into the backyard so she could put that on and be out in the garden. And if she fell down, then she could just push that and somebody would be here to help her. One of the biggest things why we got one is being out in the yard and not being able to get to the phone, and some problem with the phone as far as its function. When you’re using a portable phone, it doesn’t always work as well when you get out to the corner, but LifeStation does and that's great. I am a bit more comfortable with the LifeStation and she is putting the necklace on. It’s great knowing that if she needed a helping hand, she could get that easily.
The only time we’ve had the LifeStation team on the phone was for the setup. We were following the basic instructions and that was pretty cut-and-dry. We pushed the button to test it and it was rather promptly, which is what we wanted. Someone was there and we said “Hey we’re testing” and they said, “That’s fine, let us know when you’re done.” So, it definitely was fast and they were right there. There was possibly one time that there was something going on with the machine and it was a power loss situation. They called us to make sure the device was working and we tested it again and it was all fine so that was nice, too.
I was pleased to see that there’s an extra button since my mother got the main one that’s closer to the bed where we have it and then they had a spare one. We put that in the bathroom. I haven’t had an opportunity to use it, which I’m grateful for. So far, it’s been what we needed. It was easy to set up and we’re sure it’s all going to work well when we have to.

Signing up for the LifeStation service was fast and easy. My sister set it up for our mom. Early in the morning, my mom got up and just couldn’t make things work. But she had enough foresight to hit the button and that was what woke the rest of us up in the house because we could hear the alarm. When I got in the room, they were already online and were already sending somebody. The response was excellent. LifeStation is doing a great job.

LifeStation is great. A couple of weeks ago I didn't know my LifeStation wasn't working. I forget to check it every month and they called me up last Saturday, in the morning, to let me know that there was no connection to my phone. It looks like they checked it on a Friday night. come to find out, they'll be going to send me a new machine and all 'cause I thought nothing was wrong with my phone 'cause I've been using my phone.
But, I called Spectrum and they came to check me out and it was nothing wrong with one of my mobile phones. So I hurried up and called them and yell up that LifeStation and cancel that machine because there was no use for them to send it out because there was nothing wrong with mine. They tried everything they could to get it working but they couldn't get it working. I told them what was wrong was one of my phones was bad. They were on the ball and they were so nice about it. So they canceled and everything's fine now. But when I would put it back where you charge up the phone, it wasn't getting charged, and that was the problem. However, they had resolved it even before the first phone call and they handled it very well.
Once, I was on the couch and I got up and my legs gave out on me. I pressed the button and immediately they called me and the ambulance was in in five minutes and I was on the way to the hospital. I live by myself and I have a cat. But I live by myself and I only have one child, it's my son. But, I don't bother him too much 'cause he's got a business. So, if it were not for the life alert button I would probably be in a nursing home right now. I'm trying my hardest to stay home. I highly recommend them to everybody I talked to. I've been set-up with them for three years now. They're kind and considerate on the phone and it's a go.

I’ve been with LifeStation for about three years. I live by myself and I have a lot of illnesses. I also have a heart problem and I’m on a nebulizer. Now, I just had a surgery. They quickly answer when I push the button and even when I'm sleeping and I accidentally push it, they still respond. It is good that they are alert. I have been having problems falling in the bathtub and when I called them, they made sure they could hear me through the bathroom and bedroom because the LifeStation telephone cord itself is between the living room and the kitchen. Also, there was one situation when I passed out, they responded and it was not a long time that the ambulance came. We have in the apartment a blinking light that the neighbor sees if it means an emergency, but having LifeStation is better. I can push the button in an emergency and if I don't respond, they will call an ambulance right away. I’m glad that I have it and I would recommend it to others.

I used another medical alert service and LifeStation was a lot cheaper. The one I had was $40 and LifeStation was $20 - a big difference. However, the button on the remote is very sensitive. It’s quite high and unfortunately, my cats get up on the shelf and sometimes step on it and I hear “Emergency! Emergency!”. I don’t understand why when I hit that button that thing yells “Emergency!” in my house because nobody can hear it but me. I have to run and stop it. But they ask if I'm okay and I tell them not to worry.
I had fallen on the porch, and I couldn’t get up. I called LifeStation and they came. They asked me if I was hurt and if I wanted to go to the hospital. I didn’t hit my head or anything on that order so I was okay. But one time, I was put on hold, and I was waiting for the fire department to get here to come pick me up. Finally, the rep came back. I didn’t know why she thought she could put me on hold, but she did. But I didn’t have to worry about somebody being there to take care of me because I did all the calling beforehand so it worked out all right. I have people on my list to get a call. If I call emergency, LifeStation will call the people to get over here quickly.

I was researching different brands and types of products that were out there, and LifeStation seemed to be the one most suited to me and seemed to be the better one of the bunch. When I buy a product, I always try to look at customer reviews. I googled if there were a lot of complaints on LifeStation and Life Alert. And I found a lot of complaints on Life Alert as far as getting contracts. And it was almost to the point of harassment, that even after the people that had used the product had passed away and there was still part of a bill left, they would still call up the family and demand payment. But with LifeStation, they didn’t require a contract and it could be cancelled anytime. I’ve been using it for a couple few years now, and it’s worked great. I'm staying at my friend's house and somebody else lives in here with me, but they work and being disabled, I’m not really ambulatory so it’s scary. LifeStation gives me an incredible peace of mind.
I needed some assistance where I had needed the fire department to help me down. It was always a little easier for me to go up the stairs, but as my arthritis had gotten worse over the years, I ended up moving downstairs. I couldn’t really use the stairs and I had to get up a short flight of stairs. I barely made it up and couldn't get down. I wrecked myself going up and had broken my pinky finger. I was stuck up there so I had to use the LifeStation to call and ask for assistance, and they were great. Within minutes, they had a fire department there, and they were wonderful in assisting me. Things worked out very well.
I was told that I'm supposed to test the button every month but I do it every couple of months. I wear it around my neck because it leaves a mark on my wrist. It was bothering my skin and I was getting a rash. It’s very convenient to wear and the only little issue I have is that my cat likes to hop up right on my chest. And a couple of occasions, she stepped on the button. It’s a little embarrassing when it goes off and they check in on me. I would and have recommend it to my friends.

We have LifeStation medical alert for several years now. I’m 82 and my wife's 85 so we thought we needed one. She has hit it a couple of times accidentally which has set off the alarm because it’s easy to hit it on something while doing housework. There was also one time when I was in the bathroom and then all of a sudden, I heard a noise outside and it was the fire department. We never figured out how they got alerted, but it was one of those times that maybe, she pushed it and didn't know. We’ve also done some testing, then for some reason, the other machine broke down. We had to have it replaced so we called on it, and at the time we were having a party, my future son in law who's pretty sharp in electronics, got on the phone and did some adjustments. But LifeStation did send a new machine. All of these things are not really simple to set up, but at least ours is working now.
I always carry mine except when I’m in the shower or doing my exercise because it’s not too good to have a chain around my neck while doing so. I have it right beside me, but they are somewhat a nuisance. When they came out with new buttons, they changed the size so it’s not usable in places like the old one was. Also, the watch strap, with an expansion strap, cannot be connected to where before it could be. Another problem is that my wife wants to use the bracelet. She was able to attach the old button to a watch strap because she didn’t like the Velcro. But they replaced it and she can’t use the watch strap anymore, so she has to use the Velcro again.
It would be nice to have one that we would be able to use outside and we didn’t have to carry something around in our pockets. My wife got severe back problem and couldn't really see ahead of her. But she goes out to the grocery store as long as they have a mobility cart so we'd be interested in having one. Also having an expansion band is another thing they should consider since it doesn't cost much to get those. But overall we’ve had a good experience with LifeStation at this point.

I recently had a couple of houses built behind my property and they had to cut the electricity off while they put some new poles in and wire those houses up. So for three or four hours, I had no way of contacting anybody if anything happened to me. It's kind of ridiculous. The system is not applicable to me because I've got no response when the electricity goes out. I'm going to go with one that doesn't require electricity. Some of them deal with GPS and they're not even hooked up to the grid.

I called several times ‘cause I fall out of bed. I instructed, “Don’t take me to the hospital.” I was fine and just wanted a hand up when I fell on the floor. I feel bad burn on my head, but I pull myself up and got to the chair in the dining room. I was able to be up on one knee but I couldn’t pull the other knee up after I called.
I fell one day in the bathroom in the middle of afternoon. I wasn’t in position and missed. I had to go to another room myself, but I could not get up. I thought I had to be there all night, wet on the floor. Thank God my son stopped by and helped me get up. When I called later that night, it went through from the bathroom. Why didn’t it go through in the afternoon? I have no idea.
Also, I pushed the button as they told me to but I couldn’t stop the noise on the phone. I can’t go to sleep. I’m handicapped and my hands shiver. I also don’t have a screwdriver for the panel, and I couldn’t take the batteries out. It also took about five minutes to get upstairs via stairlift to reset the alarm but I couldn’t do it. I said, “Could someone please come out?" And they told me, “No.” Nobody came out to fix the alarm or take the batteries out. I had to hide one of the phones downstairs under pillow so I wouldn’t hear it going off. I also had to go to a neighbor and someone got the batteries out. I’m going to be 90 years old next month and I live alone. And although I’m perfectly capable of taking care of myself, I wanted to have a medical alert device for security. I had one in the town that I lived in before. I called Kaiser to find out if they had any that they recommended. They listed three and I chose to call LifeStation.
My device is working and everything is fine. But I've accidentally pushed it several times which is so irritating. It takes a while after they say, “Emergency, emergency” several times before a rep finally comes on and asks if I need any help. The only thing is when they come on with this “emergency, emergency” thing, it’s so loud that you can hear it out in the hall. I’m in a condominium. I asked LifeStation about this but they couldn’t turn that down a little. It needs to be that way so it goes throughout the house. One time too my machine broke down and I knew something was wrong with the box. I called LifeStation and they sent me a new machine. It had to come through the mail so that took a little while. But they attended to that right away which was nice. Overall, I’ve been satisfied and I’d recommend LifeStation.
Patricia, we’re so glad that you’re happy with the LifeStation service, and that you’ve always found our responses to be quick. You’re right, our EMERGENCY notification is loud, but with good reason. When I installed it, I messed with the instructions and had it wired to what I thought was proper. I hooked it up through a unit that turns on and off by six different switches and it wouldn't work out. I had to put it to a plug in and just plugged it into the wall, which was a mistake. I have a couple of nieces that kind of look out after me. They thought I needed an alert device because I'm 93 years old now. I'm very satisfied with LifeStation. The social nurse at Kaizer called me and she asked me to test it. And then when my nieces put it in, they had me test it. I had gone to Kaizer before and I went to different doctors. They gave me a wrong medication and it caused a lot of itch. So, I call the emergency because of that. I'm hard of hearing and the LifeStation's rep's voice was kind of crack and had a funny sound to it. I didn't understand the voice and I needed to go to the doctor at that particular time. But they responded soon enough. It's good to have around. I'm very pleased with it. It gives a feeling of security but I try not to need it. I don't want to fall down and hurt myself.

My niece in Ohio checked medical alert device providers and LifeStation sounded like it was the right one. My nephew checked other providers where they could give you something you could bring away from the house but you need it connected to the cellphone. I don't want my cell phone ringing all the time and I use it for emergencies.
They told me that my battery was low and they sent me a new device to hang around my neck so, I've got both for the neck and the wristband. I had a problem with the device for the neck so, I put the new one and they told me to throw the other one away which I did and it was in the other room. What they didn't tell me was I should throw it more than 500 yards from the house. I've got somebody telling me all noon and night when I'm sleeping that I need to call them. The next time it happened, I had it more than 500 yards from the house and they said that I should wrap it in aluminum foil before I throw it away. They didn't tell me everything I should know about it. Other than that, I've been satisfied with LifeStation.

The security of having LifeStation makes me feel more comfortable being alone. If I get sick or something happens and I needed help, having it is nice. The current goes off from time to time. It would make a noise and it would stop or I would stop it. When the current comes back on, it would be back in a working condition. I have had it for two years and would sometimes talk my friends into getting one. I wear it around my neck when I'm here at home night and day. However, I take it off when I go out with someone and get dressed.

The LifeStation is my mom's first medical alert device. I’m her caretaker and I work at night so I'm here during the day. But there's a safety issue in instances like if I run out to the store. My mom had a stroke, she walks with a walker and sometimes she can’t hold herself up or misjudges things. There was one time where she went to sit down in her chair, missed it and she went to the floor. She wasn’t close enough to the chair but she thought she was closer. Luckily, there was a family member home.
We've had the LifeStation for about three years. The main station is in the living room and only works there. If the button goes off and they call from the box in the living room, my mom can’t hear them and they can’t hear her talk from the living room either when she’s in her bedroom. It’s kind of awkward. In the event of an accident, she'd panic and worry about trying to make it from her bedroom out to the living room. The reps would ask her on the LifeStation if she's okay. She wouldn't hear them and they wouldn't hear her from her bedroom. They would call on the house phone then they’d send the police. I can move the speaker into her bedroom but how about when she’s in the living room? We live in a mobile home and a friend of my mother’s lives in a regular house and she had different equipment similar to the LifeStation. Hers worked all over the house and she was surprised that ours didn’t.
Also, I had the regular button and I upgraded it to one that registers a fall so I’m paying more. I thought this one would help more if my mom can't press the button. My concern, however, is the falling part where the device is supposed to activate when she falls but it doesn’t even work. My mom's losing strength in her leg and if she goes to the floor and the button doesn’t go off, why am I paying more for that? I’m better off just with the original button that she can squeeze to get help. My mom probably fell about three times in the last year or two, and the device didn’t go off. But there were times when it went off several times by accident. One time though, we had to take her to the hospital and we pressed the button on purpose because it was faster than calling the police. Overall, the LifeSattion is good if you're able to push the button if you need help.

Somebody came and set up a LifeStation for my mom and it worked for her to have one. She had it for three years and when the button was pushed accidentally, the reps did a good job in answering back. They were very caring and nice. But someone told my mom that she needed to send it back and she did. They weren’t going to pay for it anymore and my mom couldn’t afford to pay for it either.

I've had my LifeStation for five years and I've never had to do anything with it. It's hanging on the doorknob. The machine went out a couple of years ago. The light kept blinking. It beeped and I kept calling them. It took a while to get a new one but they finally sent it. It wasn't the greatest experience at that point. The device shows up on my bill and I pay it. It didn't cost too much but if I'm not using it, it might be too much. However, I'm glad to have it since I'm 92. Since I'm alone, it is good idea to have it. A lot of my friends have it as well. I figured insurance is insurance and I probably need it more now than I did a few years ago.

I've had nothing but good luck with LifeStation. I'm 81 and I have congested heart failure, kidney failure and bad diabetes. It’s hard for me to get around so I'm at the point where there's nothing more that can be done for me. If I go down I need LifeStation to help back it up because I'm here all alone. I fell in my kitchen a couple of weeks ago and LifeStation was on red alert. I live in a small town and all the responders were working. One of my emergency contacts when I push the button is my neighbor. He came over and he also called his neighbor and they got me up off the floor. Since using LifeStation I don't have the concerns that I had and wondering if I could get to the phone. I told my friends what LifeStation has done for me. My daughter lives a couple houses over but she works and my son is only here with me part-time so it’s a relief for them to know that I've got that backup.

I wear my LifeStation all the time in the daytime and at night, I hang it on the spindle on my bed so I can easily reach it. It's comfortable when I'm wearing it and I don't even realize I have it on. But I had a false alarm when I first got it. I was in bed and I had it on for the first time in bed and the cord was wrung by my neck. I took it off and shoved it under my pillow. I was sleeping upstairs, my stairs were carpeted, and I didn't have my hearing aids on. Then I felt a tap on my shoulder and I rolled over and there stood three of the nicest looking EMS guys you'd want to see. They asked if I was all right and I said, "Uh-oh, I turned the button on when I put it under the pillow." They had to do a forced entry and they had the police with them. They said, "We knocked down every window and every door trying to rouse you." I said that I didn't have my hearing aids in so I wouldn't hear them.
With LifeStation, I'm able to get around my home very well with a cane. I do have a walker but it's kind of awkward to use around my furniture. The only thing I have against the alert button is I can't talk on it outside. I was outside the last time I fell and I kept on pushing the button. Eventually one of our young police ladies came up my driveway. The EMS was already there, but they didn't know where I was. But if I'm in the house, I could talk into it and it doesn't have to be up by my face. I'm very satisfied with LifeStation and I think it is a wonderful invention.

I haven't used my LifeStation much, but I do enjoy it and I feel comfortable with it. I like the idea that I have it with me in the car or at home. Before this one, I had two different ones - one for in the house, and the other one for out in the car. I had to get two different ones. They came out with this one, which is good anywhere, so I changed. In the other one I had they really helped me out a couple of years ago when I was in some kind of an accident between 95 North and South on Thanksgiving Day. If it wasn’t for that, I don't know what I would have done 'cause nobody would have seen me stuck in the gulley.
Between the two, this one happens to go down real deep and nice. I went right across the street and down into that gulley, and up in the air and down again. And nobody would have seen me 'cause it was snowing, but it saved my life. I have no complaints at all. And I do tell a lot of people about how great it is, and I try to talk my girlfriend to get one too. I would recommend it to anybody.

LifeStation is a nice device and my husband and I appreciate it. The other one we had was just local and it was only good for the house, but LifeStation is great because we can use it when we go out. However, I am not used to the fact that it's more sensitive than the other one that we had. I've put it on more than I would with the other one. I sat down on the bed and it seemed like a fall, and so LifeStation called. And also, when I bent over and I pushed it against the counter, it was set off.
We have not had to use it for an emergency, but we had somebody from LifeStation out because when they called to check it out, they could hear me talk, but I couldn’t hear them. And when she came, she said it was just the atmosphere because it worked fine when she got here. The only problem we have is at night when we go to sleep, we have to put it on the charger. And during that time, we have no coverage from 11:00 at night until 8:00 in the morning. We have to adjust the time we charge it but other than that, it's a great piece of equipment. My husband was showing people how it worked, so he was advertising it.

When my son installed it and was testing it, it called them and their customer service was fine. I set it off one time but it was an accident and it seems to me that it took them quite long to respond. But if I have an accident I would forget that it was there and that’s the trouble with something that’s around for a long time so they should try to think of some way to periodically remind the owner that they have it and it’s there should they have an accident or illness. Other than that I'm satisfied with them and it's good for anyone who is living alone to have something like that to use.

LifeStation's answering system is not as quick as I would like it to be. I have to go through all those emergencies before it even is recorded and then I have to wait for someone to get to the phone. If I were lying on the floor with a broken hip, it would be a long time. I'm changing over to my new console and everything went okay, except that I’m living in a retirement home and I’m depending on other people to get things done. The maintenance guy kept telling me he’d come by and change it out for me, but he didn’t. My grandson was going to come over and do it. But I finally got the maintenance guy in. We took the new console in and everything went okay.
I wear it around my neck but I don’t like the black string that they have for it to be on, so I bought a gold chain and put it on there. When we changed the pendant to the new one, the chain wouldn’t go through it right. My daughter thought she had it fixed, but it fell off my neck. She is looking for a smaller chain that she thinks she can fix it with. I've tested the device and everything was working. I like very much that I could put it in the shower. I would have gone to a different alert system had it not been for that because the shower is one of the main places I need one of those. All in all, I’m okay with the device.

Sometimes they say "This is life alert," a few times too many before they respond but it's not that bad. But in my case if they don't respond right that second I push it, it's too long. I also have the device around my neck and apparently, I leaned against it when I was out working on my farm tractor. The first responders who live about a mile away were in my yard in about five minutes and wanted to know what was going on, but I didn't know I had pushed it and I was still working. My niece also got an alert where she works so she got on the phone too and I talked to her. Plus, I got a brother and sister-in-law who I've been bugging to get LifeStation. My mother fell and laid on the patio all night the month before I bought the LifeStation. She pushed the button by accident last month and we couldn't figure out which button to push to answer their call back. We didn’t hear them when they called back initially. And then they called us. We called her immediately, got her on the phone, and she was fine. But LifeStation wouldn’t allow us to cancel the ambulance call, so they came anyway. I think my mother was pushing the button on her phone and thinking she was pushing the button that they used with us. It was a mess. But all has been very well when we tested it. When the caretaker arrived at her house, she pushed the button to make sure the machine was working which it was.
I spoke with someone when the accidental call was made. They asked if my mother can talk on the phone and I told them that she was not here and she was at her house. Then they asked if she can call them back. But I told them she can't call their number and she doesn’t even know what she’s doing. They were a little abrupt and said, “Well, this is the way it has to be.” They didn’t give me any recourse or any help really. LifeStation handled the situation in a very ineffective way. I can’t give my mother a number to call because she may or may not get the numbers written down right. And her caretaker wasn’t there at that particular moment.
So now I've got a big ambulance bill that I got to pay because they wouldn’t allow me to cancel it. I haven’t talked to LifeStation yet. If we can’t work out that they can take my word that she’s okay, then we’re going to have to change the set-up because she’s obviously not capable. At this point in time, my mother realized she made a mistake. So, now she’s taking the bracelet off and won’t wear it. But if she’s not going to wear it, there’s no point in paying for it.

If there is an emergency, right away we can just call it. If we have a difficult clientele that we may need to call 911, if there's a medical or mental health issues or any emergency, we have it. If they're walking around checking the ground, they feel safe that they can just call rather than push the button and then they have somebody to connect with rather than dialing 911. It's convenient and comfortable, too. Once, we had a medical issue where someone fell and we heard a bang. And then we checked it and a did client fall, so we called it right away. I got LifeStation for my brother in case there was an emergency because he has his own place and, at that time, he was living alone. So, what I was looking for was to have some type of communication or access to him regardless if I was in his place or not. It didn’t matter what time of the day, 24 hours a day, and he knows to press that button. LifeStation helped save my brother's life. One night he was having difficulty and he pressed the button. They then called me in the middle of the night letting me know, “Hey, you know, there might be a problem at your brother’s house.” I went over there, he was having a definite problem. Had he not pressed that button, he would have probably died that day.
When he presses the button it goes to their call center and then I give them the information, whatever it is, that they need for their files. And then, if there’s an emergency, they have all the contact information. So, once the call or the emergency signal is received to them, then they call back the person who actually has the device to verify if there is a problem or not. However, they don’t have the sensors to where if you fall, then they can detect that. Other people have other problems and other different situations to worry, like if someone might get lost or someone might go down in the park and maybe not in the range of the devices at home. Other companies have different devices that go to the cell phone, so they check them that way, but what I did get when I needed it, they delivered. I would definitely refer them.
Jane, we’re so glad that we were able to help your brother get help during his emergency! Good news, we do have Fall Detection and Mobile GPS units available should you be interested in them! You can call us 24/7 at 877-478-3390 for more information! Thanks for the review!

The two times that I needed it, I didn’t have my call button on so I didn’t get to use it. But since I’ve fallen, I have been more alert to keeping it on so they can come. I talked to them one time when they called to check if the power was still working and if the emergency signal went through, and we did.

I really needed LifeStation since I had four hip replacements and I was living alone. I had an emergency twice and I was able to use the device. I was in the back bathroom and nobody would have heard me. They came right away and treated me very nicely. It saved my life and I couldn't do without it. On the other hand, they used to have a leather band and now, they have a different one and it's hard. They said that it's all they have now and there's nothing I can do. Also, my hand is so small so, I really have a lot of problems but I survived. Other than that, I've been telling several people to get it.

I've had my LifeStation for a couple years and I've never had to use it. I've never fallen or slipped since but it's a reassuring kind of thing. I have a necklace that I can use to call for help if I do fall. But I don’t like to wear it around my neck, so I keep it in my pants’ pocket. I wear a religious scapular and so there's just so much I wear around my neck. I've tested my equipment every now and then to make sure it's running right and the response time was immediate. I'm 87 years old and I live almost by myself and with my son. My daughters seem to run my life and they won't let me do too many things by myself as they're always afraid, and they want me to have somebody to help me if something happens to me. I've had LifeStation since my wife passed away a couple of years ago, and the only change is that I get lonely. I watch television a lot and I have a couple computers that I'm not good at, but I do have Skype on it, so I can talk to some people that I know.
I've already had an emergency when I leaned over my kitchen table and it pushed the button accidentally. I heard the machine go off two or three times and the LifeStation team wanted to know what was wrong with me. I didn’t have anybody come to the house but I know the device works. The team is doing its job and there is always somebody on the phone who gets back to me when I call once a month to make sure that the machine is working. I had a problem with the machine and they seemed to take care of that right away. The machine is in my house and I always see that if I'm too far away from the house, I can't be reached. I read a lot and I notice there are machines that, even when you're away pretty far, you can still have a call and listen to somebody on the phone. That’s the only thing but I'm not too worried about that. I'm glad I found LifeStation. They always treat me fine or I'd drop them.

I wear my LifeStation device on my wrist and it’s uncomfortable having it in the shower with me because I don't want it to get wet, but having it by my bed is perfect. I don't like jewelry and I don't like things on my arm. So I'm not really a bracelet or a watch person because it leaves a mark on my wrist. If there's another way to give it to me, like if I had to wear it around my neck, that probably would have been different.
I like the service when I call outside the house to test it to make sure it works. If I fall or if I'm not feeling well, LifeStation comes quickly. The phone rings for a while when I push the button on the control lid, and then they ask me what the problem is. Thank God, I don't have to call them frequently and that's a blessing on my behalf. But when I do call, they send the ambulance and it usually takes no more than 15 or 20 minutes before they get here.
