My mother lives alone, does her own thing, and doesn’t drive, but she gets along well. Although she's feeling a little stressed about being on her own, she doesn’t want to do anything differently. But she lost her balance, fell, and couldn’t get back up a couple of times, and that was the main reason that we got the LifeStation medical alert device for her, and it has made her feel more secure.

Setting up my mom's LifeStation device was easy. But she thinks that it was easier with her other alert device. She was able to wear that other device out and about and she thought that was better. But when she was out and about, she was with us, so she didn’t need to wear it anyway. With LifeStation, her base station is the only place that she can reach anybody when she’s in her house and that was what the whole point was, but she just doesn’t get that. We got her a different thing and the LifeStation device was slightly cheaper than the other one. Also, the other device did a lot of blinking, but the LifeStation device doesn’t do that. Moreover, my mother had to charge the other device all the time and I’m not sure that she got the charger in right.

My mom sometimes let her device sit on the sofa beside her and I told her that was not gonna do any good if she got up and did something. She said that she took it to the kitchen and laid it down there, but I told her to put it on. When we set the device up, LifeStation's response time was very long and it was much longer than the response time of the other alert device company. When we called LifeStation, nobody picked up the call for a long time and that didn’t seem right. With the emergency service that LifeStation is providing, they should pick up calls within three or four rings, but it took them 10 rings to do that, and that was not acceptable. Nevertheless, I’m hopeful and trusting that the LifeStation guys are on top of things.

LifeStation is a wonderful system and it works. I had the opportunity to call an ambulance last year when I first got the system. LifeStation sent somebody out almost immediately so I have no complaints about them at all. I have not had too much of an opportunity to use it because I usually have somebody here when I get into a real emergency situation. For some reason, it always happens early in the morning when I’m still in bed and the unit is downstairs so I end up calling 911 if needed. When I had the emergency, I just pushed the button and the LifeStation team was very helpful and asked me what was going on. I have severe emphysema and I’m on continuous oxygen which I explained to them and sometimes, I just can’t breathe with the oxygen. I called them and they got a hold of 911 very quickly.

My daughter decided to get me a medical alert device through LifeStation because I fell a couple of times. She was the one that bought the set or has it to know it’s running for me. The LifeStation representatives tested the device once or twice. One time, I just came up from the basement and was walking across my kitchen. The thing went off and I almost jumped out of my skin. I answered it and turned it off. The representatives were okay. I'd recommend LifeStation if somebody asked me about it.

There is crime in the neighborhood plus my wife and I have the tendency to fall all the time. We both have the LifeStation and we love it very much. Some people who are egotistical resist wearing anything like it but we love wearing ours because they provide security. I would also tell my friends that they need to be concerned about balance with age. They need something and the something that we recommend is LifeStation. Their reps are wonderful, receptive to our concerns, and competent to address them. In the morning, we wear our devices around our necks and they're very comfortable. And in the evening, we put them away on the cradles. But frequently, when we'd put them on the cradles, the red light wouldn't come on and we’d have to rub both the cradles and the devices. That would be so hard to do when we'd be so tired and want to go to bed.

My children decided I needed a medical alert device. I live alone now and they just feel more comfortable to know that I had some extra security. I said I would try it for 30 days and if I didn't like it, I wouldn't pursue it anymore. But then, LifeStation worked fine. When I'm here at the house, I don't wear the device because I have my cell phone. But if I go out and about for a walk, I put it on. It is working exactly like I wanted it to work. I stick the device down inside my shirt and sometimes the black cord shows, but that doesn't bother me.

One time, I sort of drop my pendant on the bed and it jolted enough. I had calls come in from all directions from my granddaughter, my daughter and the LifeStation attendant. I was happy with their response time. I have shared with some people that I'm satisfied with LifeStation and it wasn't a nuisance that I thought it was going to be. I’d tell a friend to get one too.

LifeStation gives me a peace of mind. My mother is 80 years old. She has a prosthetic leg and she's not really good on her feet. She already dropped all the way down and she was on the floor when I found her. Although she had her phone in her hand, she couldn't dial it and she was out of it. So, I brought her to stay with me and she also needed some kind of protection. We had one service before and it wasn't good enough, so we got the one with LifeStation that if she falls, it will send a signal to them.

I plugged the device up and I got it together for her. I also shortened the string because she doesn't like it being long, but she's scared she might hit it. When we made a mistake and pressed the button, the customer service came on and asked if everything was okay. She was very encouraged by that and I was satisfied, too. She puts her necklace on when I leave home, but the only problem I'm having is I don't have the phone hooked up. If they had to call me to let me know something is happening, I wouldn't know. In addition, they sent a button for the bathroom which is good, but I don't know if she can get to it and if she can hear them when they call from the base station.

I’ve been at a retirement home since 1911. I’m almost 96 and I’ve fallen about nine times. I’ve been always able to get up, but I realized now that I could not. I also had a urinary tract attack and a couple of small immediate strokes that were short ones. My daughter wanted me to have a medical alert device so, she researched it and picked LifeStation. Their people were very good. Three times it’s gone off because I hit it with something. A voice came on and asked if I needed help and I said no and so it went on. The response was very quick.

On the other hand, I don’t like the way it looks. I wear the device around my neck and once in a while, it chaps around the back of my neck because I have a gold necklace I wear. One problem I had early on was the connection kept popping out so, my daughter tied it. On the other hand, LifeStation gives my daughter peace of mind. I've had the device for two months now and my experience with them has been very good.

I have foolishly bumped the device three of four times and LifeStation came right to me in an emergency and I said I made a mistake. I felt bad about it and I didn’t do it intentionally. But they were right on the spot calling and were very nice. I feel much more secure in case there's a problem. I have help. I have the necklace. It's a black leather and it's long. I tried to adjust it. I had other people try to adjust it too and we haven't had any success. Even so, I have already told someone that she shouldn't be without the LifeStation device because in case that something happens and she's by herself, it wouldn't be a very good feeling. I didn’t have a lifeline at that time and I sat there waiting until someone walk by to help me up. And so we got this one. I call in to make sure it’s working. I used to have a previous device and it bothers me that this one is bigger and a lot heavier than my other one. Also, I have to take it off at night to charge it up so I don’t have it on at night. I'm 88 years old and I live alone. My nephew wanted me to get a medical alert system because I fell a couple of times in the house, in my apartment, over his place and then once in the parking lot. So he thought that I ought to have one in case I have something wrong. I set the system off two times in the bathroom. I bend over to get a drink and the thing hit the sink, it came on but I've never had to use it yet.

Also, the response time was very good. Somebody on the other end on that talking machine that LifeStation has here asked if I needed anybody and I said no. I was so embarrassed. And I did that two times. I cut 24-inches from the system so that I got it sitting up higher on my chest. So now, I haven't had any problem with it. However, since my hearing is very bad, that little talk box that LifeStation has was muffled. When it goes off and they asked me if there's anything wrong, I said there's nothing wrong and I told them that if anything is wrong, I'll just tell them to come. All in all, the LifeStation medical system works very good. I'd recommend it to others.

I saw a lot of reviews online and everybody was happy with LifeStation's service. It was number one. We also got quotes and talked with different companies and LifeStation was the best fit for us. The pricing was also a lot more affordable than the competitors. And so we set the equipment up and the LifeStation team was very helpful. I have done the testing on it and their response was fast, plus the person I got was adorable. My only concern is that if the phone lines aren’t working, the LifeStation won’t work too. And my grandmother claims her phone lines weren’t working the other day. So it would be good if they can find a way for the equipment not to be dependent on the phone line. Other than that, I would definitely recommend LifeStation.

Barbara is my right arm and she insisted that I have a medical alert device for her comfort. I usually wear the device on top of my t-shirt and then I put it underneath there. And then I have it on a long-sleeved shirt.

And so far, the device from LifeStation has worked out well although I trigger it once in a while. If I'm eating soup and lean over, it will trigger the device but the alarm doesn’t bother me. I go up, go to the speaker and acknowledge it. Although about a month or so ago on a Sunday morning, I don't know how I triggered it. I don’t wear it while sleeping anymore. I have it where I can get it within an arm's reach but I must've triggered it because I was brushing my teeth and getting ready for breakfast and I heard pounding at the front door.

It was Summit Township Fire Department with a big apparatus and the ambulance. They were looking after me. When I mentioned that to my daughter, she said it shows that LifeStation is efficient. Also, the people from LifeStation are more courteous as to follow ups and they wish you well. AThere are no rules saying you should do this or do that. I couldn't ask for any nicer people to deal with. I have already recommended LifeStation to some of my former co-workers and friends. They were all interested. One party signed up for it. I told them about the merits of it, the peace of mind it brings to those who are caregivers, and no inconvenience.

I've had LifeStation for at least two years now. I lost my wife a couple of years ago. I do not want to be helpless if I fall, and LifeStation gives me that confidence in the house. It is adequate and I like it. I have also recommended them a number of times already. LifeStation is realistic and is the best. They were competitive and they did not require a contract, which meant that they have confidence that you will keep the product. It looked to me that you look not at the features necessarily, which are about the same, but you still look at it as a contract. I objected to the idea of having to deal with a contract.

I've been having trouble with my monitor. The first one wouldn't keep the charge. It's charged up every time but when I look at it, it just wasn't working. I live in Savannah and when I left and went to Jacksonville, by the time I've come back the charge was down and I had nothing. And the same thing happened with the second one. I went up to about 30 miles from where I live and when I came back, it did the same thing. I felt like I had something on my body that was trying to recharge and when I got home it was dead. I also put it on the charger at night and when I get up in the morning I put it on. At about three o'clock, I go put it back on the monitor and sometimes, it does the same thing where it's like it's cutting off and trying to recharge.

I tried mashing it so that I could give alert but it didn't make anything at all. I would call LifeStation on the phone and they would tell me what to do but it was nothing that I haven't been doing. It seemed like when I put it on the charger, I had to put pressure to it in order for it to come up to charge. But I didn't think that was necessary 'cause if you put it on the charger, it should charge.

The customer service people are very polite and and friendly though. They tried very hard to help me through whatever problem I had. The one I have now is my third monitor and it's different from the other two that I had. It's a little lighter and so far, so good with this one. I call every two months to make sure that it's still working. I appreciate the LifeStation device and I like it because I'm alone and I like to go outside and work. And I like the idea that I can go anywhere I want to with it.

I have had a really good experience with my LifeStation. I only use it when I really have to, unless it’s an accident and it goes off itself. It's very sensitive, unlike the first one that I had. They sent me a new unit, and I put it on a string and wear it around my neck and I would just press it. The other day, it caught on the top of my pants and when I pulled it up, it set it off. Once in a while when I fall down, I can't get up so I have to call someone. One time, I used them when I fell on the front concrete porch. I had two doors between me and my little thing in the kitchen. I hooked it up and then transformed it and it worked perfectly. And they were really fast and alert. It is usually never the same person twice so they don’t get mad at me for doing it.

I feel more secure with LifeStation because I know that they will help me if I need someone. I have two sons but they have their families and they’re all busy. Plus, I don’t have any neighbors next door to me. My device is 600 feet from the receptor in the kitchen and that’s really all I need because I don’t go outside at all. And it's not that expensive. I’ll recommend them to everybody.

I got a LifeStation right after my husband died in 2010 and with it, I feel a lot safer. I had to call them one time because I thought somebody was trying to come in on me that was on my porch and it scared me. I called LifeStation and their rep picked up right away. The police came out here but he was already gone, but they got him anyway. I had a little note in my pocket when I got the LifeStation and it says to call them once a month and check and see if it's working good. When I did that, they responded real quick. The only thing that I’ve been concerned about is when my power went off, the TV and the telephone also went off. I thought I would use the lifeline and it wasn’t working either, and it stayed off for a couple of hours. Other than that, I’m very satisfied with them.

But their team is very knowledgeable and they help me reset the machine after power outages or after moving them. The device makes me feel a lot of relief. I was home alone and I finally got a construction guy across the street to come over and pick me up. They put me in the hospital for three weeks and while I was there, I ordered it. Their response time was immediate. The noise goes off which sounds like a smoke alarm. My neighbor next-door even heard it. The last time I used them was in February and what happened was I had low blood sugar but I didn’t know that’s what it was. I thought I was having a stroke. My whole right side went numb and I couldn’t talk. And so I hit my button and the lady came on and she kept asking me but I couldn’t say anything. I just garbled. It was scary. She just said forget it and then called the fire department and sent them out. I recommend LifeStation to everybody.

I live alone and I've just been falling all the time. I've used the LifeStation device eight times already this year and it's a good thing I have one. The emergency response time was wonderful and it’s just fantastic. I’m going through a thing right now where I just got out of a rehab and they said I shouldn’t live alone anymore. But I said that I'm not ready to give up my home and my independence and that isn’t gonna happen. It doesn’t make any sense to me because even if I’m here in assisted living, it still takes time for somebody to come to the room. But I can push my life alert and I can have somebody here within 10 minutes.

When I press the button, everything is excellent. The rep at LifeStation calls and asks me if I'm okay and tells me they got an ambulance on the way. Then they’ll check back in and say somebody is coming, and it’s been really good. With the LifeStation device, my sense of security tremendously changed. I'm afraid to be here and I’ve had so many incidences. I’ve fallen out of the hallway, outside of my building and when I was outside the building, it doesn’t pick up so I’d like for it to pick up a farther range. I’m just glad that I’ve got it and I haven’t had anything but excellent service. I’d recommend them. It has worked for me and I’d tell other people. I’m really pleased because I have some friends that are getting up there but they say they’re not ready for that. They'll know when it’s ready because I did.

We've had LifeStation for a little while now and my dad says it's as easy to say, "Woop." My father had a stroke and his mobility is very limited. My mother is not in great health either and sometimes has problems with mobility as well. Sometimes getting in and out of the bed or going to the bathroom is a challenge for them. My mom's had to activate the system a couple of times when my father had fallen. She is the panicky type and she gets all over the place when things are not going the way she thinks they should. Every time that it was activated, it was needed to get my father off the floor. He never severely hurt himself but it was needed 'cause she couldn't lift him up herself and they've always gotten help promptly.

Plus every time that the system was activated, LifeStation contacted me to let me know that it was activated and that they were sending help. And then I could further contact my sister or my mom on another line to see if everything was okay and she would let me know exactly what was going on. I've been greatly appreciative of the service LifeStation has provided. It's been very helpful to us because although my sister is in the same city with our parents, I live in another city that is about 15 miles away and I wish I could monitor them some type of way.

We live in Lake View and we have our own ambulance service. Sac City has an ambulance service as well and both ambulance services were alerted which was unnecessary unless I have to go to the hospital.

The first time that I used it, I had fallen out on the patio as I came in the back door. My two neighbors who I have on my list came and then the firemen came in as well. The team at LifeStation was very pleasant when I talk to them on the phone. Everything went well and as time goes on, I realize I need LifeStation more and more. I said that incidents could happen around the corner and there's no help coming up so I decided to subscribe to LifeStation as a precaution. With it I'm ready for any incident that would occur.

Their customer service is good. But when I accidentally pushed the alarm button I noticed that the response time was slow. And when they called me afterwards asking me what was going on I mentioned it to them. They explained what happened and I think it was reasonable. I'd tell friends that having LifeStation gives peace of mind that when something happens, there'd be help coming. However, my wife doesn’t carry the gadget that she would push with her. She stopped going to dialysis because we had a kidney transplant. And two days ago it came to a discussion whether we would try to stop LifeStation because at our age we're trying to save money. Their reps answer right away too. One time, we were testing it and they didn't realize it was a test. There was some miscommunication and they called my daughter and my son. Everybody got a little bit upset but it was okay. Since having LifeStation, we feel a little bit more secure that we can push the button and get some assistance if we need to. I'm confident that we have the service.

I called LifeStation every once in a while to make sure that our little buttons are activated, and the team is very friendly. However, because one of us is home with the other one all the time, we can call 911 ourselves and so really we don't need it. Still, the device is wonderful if you're by yourself and I would recommend it to anybody who is by themselves.

I live alone and my LifeStation device helps me a lot. I feel more comfortable with it because I used to call my friends first. Now, I have the device that I carry with me all the time and I just push the button and LifeStation would call the ambulance. Then the fire department would arrive within a few minutes. So far, I haven’t had an emergency. The only day that I fell down was when I put the device down to be charged. When I went into another room, I fell down. My son was here at that time so I didn’t have to use the device. But I used it after so they could call an ambulance. I wear the necklace and a lot of times, I had pressed the button by mistake. Sometimes, when I bend down and I accidentally pressed it, it goes off. And the people from LifeStation had been very nice about understanding. Sometimes, it would take a little longer for them to answer but otherwise, I’m happy. I have recommended them to different people.

And if I wear it at night, which I should, I roll over on it and it goes off. It’s cumbersome and it has gotten to be a nuisance. But when I called in to have my LifeStation checked, their reps were very nice and asked if I needed help. Overall, I'd tell friends to go ahead and get one.

We got the LifeStation for him and the setup was very easy. Marion had the one on the wrist and he wanted one that he could use when he would be away from the house. So we switched over from that one to the one that gives a bigger range. And while we’ve never had to use it, we know that it is there if we need it. He fell once in the yard, and he wasn’t hurt but I couldn’t get him up. So I called 911 and then the fire department came and got him up. So if I had fallen and I injured myself, it would take about three minutes before they get to question me. And that is too long. Also, if I actually fell and I was unconscious, they wouldn’t be able to talk to me. If they said, "Is this Robert...," I wouldn't be answering. Somebody said I could save all that money just to call 911. And actually, that's what I did when I had a heart attack last July. I live by myself at least a mile from the nearest neighbor and half an hour from a town. And so being this far out, my kids decided that I needed something in case I fell and couldn’t get to a phone. My experience with LifeStation has been very good. I've had no problems at all. I've pushed the button by accident twice. One time, I laid on the button and the other time, I had it in my pocket, bent over and pushed it accidentally. The main box says, “Emergency, emergency. Are you all right?” and if I don’t answer right away, it gets louder with the same announcement. So, I have to answer to talk to somebody and say I’m fine. My house is long and it takes me a while to get there.

My device gives me peace of mind. And I found out that it can reach 300 feet outside my house and that’s good. The fact that it reaches outside is not something that I was told at first. And it would also be important for other people to know because it’s not in the advertising. In the summertime when I’m working outside, if I should fall or have a problem, I can push the button and it will still respond. I tried three others before I settled on the LifeStation and they all said I can take it outside and I explained my situation where I live. One of them insisted that it would work after I got it and it didn’t. When I called, the rep said I should stand on my front steps and so I did just one foot outside my house and it didn’t work. That person finally gave up and had to agree that it does not work outside in all situations. I would recommend LifeStation to my friends. I would tell them how it works and the peace of mind it gives me and my kids.

We have been very pleased with it and we've gotten good service. We feel like they’ve been responsive every time we had somebody else in here and had to change the contact person. One of the things we like best is that we get a call before an ambulance is called. My patient has pushed it for about three times and each time, we were able to alleviate the situation. Two of those times were accidents but one was when she has fallen and we were able to help her. She understands that it is a tool that she can use to get help when all else fails. Fortunately, I’ve only had to use LifeStation once and it was excellent because I had taken a fall and pushed the button on my bracelet. Somebody came on and asked me how I was -- if I had fallen and needed help to get up or if I was hurt. I told them that I was hurt and they said that an ambulance was on the way and that they’ll alert the Fire Department. The Fire Department came and LifeStation had given them the code on my lockbox, and it went really smooth. I was impressed. The response time was very good. That really surprised me because LifeStation said I should, from time to time, check the device and push the button. I have done that twice and the response time was a little too long, but during the time that I really needed them, it was excellent.

Before I had LifeStation, I had fallen in the garage and I didn’t have any medical alert. Fortunately, my garage door was still open and one of the community found me there. That was when the kids said that I needed something, and I agreed with them. I really feel safe now. I am so attuned to LifeStation because I go swimming a lot and I take it off. I take it off when I'm in the car to go to the pool and put it on in the car when I leave the pool because to me, it’s my security blanket. I have recommended them to a lot of my friends because I live in a retirement community and the percentage of single women is very high. It’s not cheap but to me, it’s worth my life.

My father was falling, so we got a LifeStation medical alert device for him. Although we haven’t used it for quite a while, we had to use it once recently. That one time, it woke me up, which was good, but the LifeStation response team couldn’t reach my sister. Even though I was in the house with my father at the time and I told them that they didn’t need to make any other calls, except to 911, and that I would notify my sister, they still called my cousin and woke him really early, and he wasn’t tremendously happy about that. So, they didn’t exactly follow my instructions when I talked to them.

Basically, if we tell the LifeStation team that all we need is a call for a lift assist and that my father is not going to the hospital, then all we need is for him to be lifted up and for them to call 911 for us, and they don’t have to call and ask someone to bring in a stretch chair, and they don’t have to call everybody else on the list. We'd like them to follow those instructions.

But other than that, the customer service was fine. I interacted with the reps a couple years ago as well and I’ve had no problems in my interaction with them, other than at that particular time. Since my father has been using the LifeStation device, we've had some peace of mind since we know that if one of us isn’t here, there’s always a backup system in place. Right now, though, somebody is here around the clock. Nevertheless, I would recommend LifeStation. Their alert device is a good safety feature if people are in the situation that my father is in and it’s very good if somebody needs a backup system.

I had a medical alert device for my dad and when he passed, we turned it off. Then, my mom went through a time where she was feeling dizzy and she fell over a couple of times. She's better now but I wanted to turn the device back on so when something happens, she could say, "Call my daughter." But the prices of the company I had for my dad's device had tripled. So I went and investigated other alternatives and I ended up with LifeStation. They were very nice people that helped me get it hooked up and set up and their price is much more affordable. I have more peace of mind knowing that she can push that button. Mostly, everybody's pleasant, friendly, helpful, and patient. Just like you want them to be. But there was one time that the tone of voice of the rep sounded a little testy but I just chalked that up to somebody having a bad day because that had never happened.

One time, my mother slipped in the bathroom and got herself wedged between the sink and the commode. She couldn't get out. They couldn't hear her from there because she's a little old lady and didn't have so much force in her voice. So they called me and asked if I wanted them to call an ambulance. I said yes and they sent the ambulance right off. But the minute I saw that number popped up, I was already half putting my shoes on. I ran over there and we didn't need an ambulance that time.

I tried to do a test once a month and I talked with people. She pushes the button and sometimes it's already off by the time I get over there because I've told them I'm going. But most of the time, they stay on her line until I get there. They should encourage people to do the testing. They have all this records and data and they can tell who's not testing monthly. Sometimes I go 90 days without testing but I've never gotten a piece of mail. If I haven't had any issue in 90 days, I'm not going to know the machine is out of order.

The cord was fine but the box was always sticking out and if I didn't have a coat on, it looks funny. I didn't like it. Also, the LifeStation was too complicated for me. I couldn't just press the button and turn the thing on. It always said to face in the right direction, and I just thought it was a nuisance.

My daughter lives in Atlanta and I'm here in Fort Pierce, Florida. She said I needed to have this device. I said, "Well, I've got friends around." And she said, "No, mom. I want you to have this." Thank goodness I let her have this. She takes care of it and it works. Two weeks ago, I did not put my answer on the thing and my great-grandchild was here. He's two and a half. He saw something red and he pressed the button. Then my grandson said, "Oh she's okay", and the person said, "No, I need to speak to Rhoda, herself." So that was very nice of them to make sure.

Then, I fell last Sunday and couldn't get up. Most of the time I can get up myself, but I just could not. And my friends were all at church, so I had to call the ambulance to come, and they took me to the emergency room for a few hours. When the ambulance came, he said, "Okay, how is the ambulance going to get in her house?" I have a lockbox. I didn't even know if it worked, but the fire department must have known because they came right over and pressed the code, and came right into my house and didn't have to break in. I still have a nod on my head probably about the size of an egg. It was huge. LifeStation's response was very good, and they talked to me the whole time until the ambulance got here.

I was falling frequently and my son and my daughter-in-law saw an ad for LifeStation. I've had the device for about a good two and half years and I was told I could either wear a necklace or a wristband. I wear the bracelet every day. The device did great but after 14 months, something usually went on. For instance, there's a little piece that's on the white band where you're supposed to put in the measure and that goes into that little lip and it secures the watch so you don't have a lot of excesses. Right now, I have a lot of excesses. They could be stronger or made better. Otherwise, LifeStation is wonderful.

I have lupus and a lot of other rather serious problems with my health and I use a walker. If I fall and I can't get up and if my daughter-in-law is teaching and she's about 20 minutes away, she just calls the squad or I press the button and the rescue squad comes immediately. They were here a couple of times and they were more than pleasant. I tried to convince a couple of other women who live by themselves about LifeStation. There is a sense of security knowing that all you have to do is push the button and your rescue squad will come and help. And the one here in New London, I can't say enough good things about.

I told him I won't fall, but then he told me a lot of parents say that but to remember that I am in my 80s, and now we are finding out a lot of people who are in their late 70s and 80s who do fall and he was just trying to prevent something in case I do. It's a good thing to have and I would recommend it to anyone that would be in a condition where they're all alone day and night and they're not able to manage themselves. I telephoned LifeStation on Friday, 12 Jan 2018, to cancel service before the initial one year agreement expired. (The LifeStation monitor had been delivered to me on 19 Jan 2017.) I was told to unplug the monitor and return it to LifeStation. (I had already stopped using the monitor in September 2017.) I put the unplugged monitor onto the dining room table to wrap and mail it on the next weekday, but on Sunday, 14 January 2018, I was admitted to the hospital because of pneumonia, bronchitis, atrial fibrillation and, subsequently, esophageal hemorrhaging. I was discharged from the hospital on 28 January, too late to return the monitor on time; and I was too weak to get to the post office for a while anyway. Yes, the monitor was returned a little late because of extenuating circumstances, but it had been inactivated in time, and I had orally nullified a renewal agreement.

In trying to retain me as a customer, I was offered a one year renewal for $250, which I declined, but because of the hospitalization delay my credit card was billed for $400. I asked my daughter to appeal this billing to Customer Care (my voice was incapacitated because of the bronchitis), but her request was summarily denied. The only concession that the LifeStation agent would make is that I would not be billed for another year's service in 2019. Yet, the published LifeStation policy is "Cancel at Any Time... Yes. LifeStation also offers a 30-day money back guarantee for any system and payment plan. You will receive a pro-rated refund of pre-paid services after the initial 30 days." Exploiting my age and health disadvantage to renege on this guarantee, LifeStation is engaging in a contemptible predatory business policy.

And why I had stopped using the LifeStation monitor after September 2017 is another story. Because I had not regularly checked in with a test alert, I was alerted by a piercing alarm from the monitor. In rushing without my walker or cane to turn off the alarm, I tripped over a chair. I was not seriously injured, but my trust in the possible benefit of LifeStation was compromised.

I had another medical alert service a long time ago, but not in recent years. I had this other medical service as a result of surgery and I only kept it for one month. Then I felt that it was necessary to have some emergency way to get help in case I would need it. I've had the LifeStation medical alert service for a couple of years. Everything was okay in my experience with them and I did not have any difficulties that weren’t met. Any time that I have called in to the LifeStation team to check the equipment, I've always gotten good response from whoever picked up my call. Pushing the button always sounded the alarm, and then somebody picked up quickly and asked if there was an emergency, and I told them that I was just checking the equipment. But we've been having a lot of trouble with our landline phone, so we have thought of giving that up, in which case we would have to find an alert service that doesn’t require a landline phone.

It’s just for my house. I wear it every day but I have not pushed it to see if it’s gonna work or not. I’ve got it on but I’m scared of it. I didn’t know whether I had to go to the wall and answer or if it had picked up the sound from where I was.

I was falling and couldn’t get up. My neighbor came over and put the device on and it was kind of hanging here. It’s not done very well. There’s a bunch of wires on my wall. They even sent me a lockbox that I’ve never even opened. I ought to return it. I don’t even know if I’m getting charged for it or no. I had to put it outside with a key in it in case somebody would come. I had new keys put up but I’ve not even done it. I’m supposed to test the device it at least once a month. I hesitate to do it when nobody’s here and then I’d get busy when somebody is here and I forget. When I had a stroke, my kids wanted to put in a medical alert for it. My LifeStation came about two weeks after I got home. But the little old thing I'm hanging around my neck ain’t nothing. It’s good for here in the house, but I don’t like it because it's no help wearing it around the neck or on the arm if I go out of the house or drive somewhere. And even if I go outside in the yard and try to wash the car, it doesn't help if I mash the button. If I go out and look in the mailbox on the front porch and fall down there then it doesn’t help. There are other life alert systems that have a button that one mash and they could talk right through that. LifeStation is good in the house, but I’m not confined to the house and I like to sit outside a lot of times. So, if I had a friend who was going to get a medical alert, I would tell them to look into it and try to get one they could use when they're going out and experiencing things they like that are going to stay all their life.

I use a walker and I've had several events with my health. I had minor strokes and I've also got a breathing problem. I wear the LifeStation necklace with the button on it always. So, if I fall, I've got that and it gives me a consoling feeling knowing that I have the ability to get help if I fall. So far, I'm satisfied with my experience though I haven’t had to use the device yet. If I went out on my deck then I fell out there and needed help getting up, I usually have a girl available that could help me without having 911 coming. However, I've seen on TV that there are other objects available that are good even if you're shopping and in another town and it would be nice if the LifeStation necklace button would work that way.

Other than that, I am bundled with my phone, television, and internet on cable, and I was told that LifeStation does not work unless you're on a wired telephone line. So, I had to get a special telephone line to use LifeStation and that's costing me $160 but I don't use that phone for any other reason except to hook up my LifeStation. So, if anyone would ask me about it, I would ask them first if they had a landline like Verizon and if they're bundled with a cable phone company. If they are, I would not recommend LifeStation to them.

She's living on her own and if she falls, she doesn't have the strength to get up. We've had to use the LifeStation at least twice when she fell off. Both times they called us and they came and got all the lock on the door so they could get in. They were able to lift her up and she was fine both times. The LifeStation has been a pretty nice security blanket for us. If they contact me and I'm at work and can't come over to check on her, at least I know that somebody's coming to help her out.

We had one of the boxes go down on us and it kept making some funny noises for some reason but it wasn't long after we had to move some stuff and disconnect it. So they replaced the box and it's up and running and working fine now. The LifeStation has been a good system for us. Whenever I have to call them to test it, we've always been able to get through, so that's great. It's peace of mind for us so it's been well worth it.

My sister-in-law is alone for majority of the day and her health care coordinator recommended that she get a medical alert device. She got one from Life Alert and she knows how to use it. It’s relieving for her family because they know that she has it in case there is an emergency. If she can’t get a hold of anyone, she knows that she can push the help button. She has both the alert device that looks like a watch and the necklace-looking one. She uses the necklace-looking device since it’s more convenient, rather than having that bulky watch on her arm. I’d recommend the LifeStation alert device because it puts people at ease and they don’t have to worry as much.

I live alone and my daughter got a LifeStation device for me. I wear it all the time, but I've been very fortunate that I haven't had to use it. I call the LifeStation team when I do a check on it, and I've had no problems with them. I'm a diabetic, so if I go into an unconscious state I really can't call anybody. And with my LifeStation device, I feel like I would be able to get somebody to help me if I fall.

We got a LifeStation device for my Nana when she was by herself. We used it three times for an emergency and everything was good. We could hear it even if we were in the kitchen. And now, I can take care of Nana instead of dialing the phone for an emergency. The LifeStation device gave us a sense of security and our experience was great.

I had fallen a few times and my husband had passed out several times too, so my daughter insisted that we have a medical alert device. I feel very comfortable having the LifeStation medical alert device and the reps have been very nice. I've had to use the emergency button before and that was a nice experience. The response time of the team at LifeStation was excellent and I was very happy with it. They answered and got the ambulance here right away.

I haven’t had to use LifeStation for real, but it's working and I check it every couple of months. However, I’m still not sure about the lockbox on the door. I know they hear me from different rooms ‘cause I’ve tried that, but I’m not sure that they would see the lockbox, know what it is and have a key for it. Also, I will be getting a smartphone within the next month or two and with it, I could be anywhere and use the same type of service.

My son kept telling me that I should get the service and he came up with where he got it. He must have seen an advertisement. I've had the system for at least two years and I've had no problems, but I also haven’t had any reason to use it. I haven’t needed to contact LifeStation. But that’s good and I’m very happy about that. I hope that the system is working the way it should. I should get a call from LifeStation once in a while saying that they're testing it.

I was concerned because I’m living alone and I thought I needed something in case I fell or had trouble of some kind. I haven’t had much interaction with LifeStation, but so far it’s been good. However, I do not like the device. They changed the size of the thing that sits on my wrist, and it’s too big. I really don’t like the Velcro closing, either. The device is waterproof so I keep it on when I’m in the shower, but when I get out, the band is wet and I have to take it off to dry it and it’s hard to get off.

I live alone and I have LifeStation and I was telling a friend of mine who lives alone, too, that she should get something because she fell. And I also told her that I fell and my LifeStation served me good. I fell in the living room and my machine is in the bedroom, so I had to press the button that I wear around my neck. And somebody came within 10 minutes.
