My Aunt Betty is getting worse and she has fallen so many times. My mother used to have the Lifeline and I told my aunt to get one. She has LifeStation now and it works for her. When we push the help, the reps come through and say, “Can I help you?” It takes a little longer for them to answer it, but otherwise, it works great. They’re really nice and friendly when they come on. They're right on top of it, and they call everybody that’s on the list, and they’re prompt in doing it. LifeStation has helped us, because with my aunt's falling, she could push the button and they always come right away, and they get the ambulance right here. I just wish the part where they come online is a little faster. And, I would tell others to get it, too.
Linda, it’s great that having the LifeStation system could help your Aunt Betty in case she has a fall. Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review.

My daughters got LifeStation for me and I've had it for a couple of years now. I have a balance problem and I’ve taken a couple falls. I certainly feel more secure that I know it’s there if I need it. I certainly worry less. I've had put it off a couple of times by mistake and Lifestation team responded. The response time is quite good and was about 30 seconds. They are very polite and professional. They usually say, “Okay. We thank you. We’re glad you’re all right and have a good day.” I'm just wondering if what I saw on TV is the same type of system I have or it’s an upgraded system. I saw some ad in the TV where by falling down, I would activate the thing I was carrying and it would hone in on it.
Donald, great news, We offer both Fall Detection Help Buttons as well as Mobile GPS options! These options help you should you fall and be unable to press your button, or if you need help outside of your home. I use a walker and I've had several events with my health. I had minor strokes and I've also got a breathing problem. I wear the LifeStation necklace with the button on it always. So, if I fall, I've got that and it gives me a consoling feeling knowing that I have the ability to get help if I fall. So far, I'm satisfied with my experience though I haven’t had to use the device yet. If I went out on my deck then I fell out there and needed help getting up, I usually have a girl available that could help me without having 911 coming. However, I've seen on TV that there are other objects available that are good even if you're shopping and in another town and it would be nice if the LifeStation necklace button would work that way.
Other than that, I am bundled with my phone, television, and internet on cable, and I was told that LifeStation does not work unless you're on a wired telephone line. So, I had to get a special telephone line to use LifeStation and that's costing me $160 but I don't use that phone for any other reason except to hook up my LifeStation. So, if anyone would ask me about it, I would ask them first if they had a landline like Verizon and if they're bundled with a cable phone company. If they are, I would not recommend LifeStation to them.
Thank you, Janice for your feedback. We recently tried to reach out to you to discuss our Mobile GPS device. Please contact our 24/7 customer service line at 800.998.2400. -Terri

LifeStation is the first system that my mother got and it worked pretty well. She's 73 years old and she's had a stroke and she's on a walker. She's living on her own and if she falls, she doesn't have the strength to get up. We've had to use the LifeStation at least twice when she fell off. Both times they called us and they came and got all the lock on the door so they could get in. They were able to lift her up and she was fine both times. The LifeStation has been a pretty nice security blanket for us. If they contact me and I'm at work and can't come over to check on her, at least I know that somebody's coming to help her out.
We had one of the boxes go down on us and it kept making some funny noises for some reason but it wasn't long after we had to move some stuff and disconnect it. So they replaced the box and it's up and running and working fine now. The LifeStation has been a good system for us. Whenever I have to call them to test it, we've always been able to get through, so that's great. It's peace of mind for us so it's been well worth it.
Michael, we’re glad that having the LifeStation system could help your mother and that it gives the whole family greater peace of mind. Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review.

The people at LifeStation are very nice. I've never had to have any emergencies, but every couple of months, I push the button and they always ask me how I'm doing, and I say that I'm just making sure everything's working well. I also have a lock on my screen door that has to have a code, and I don't really want that on my screen door because it's got a couple of keys in it. But I need it in case the fire department or somebody needs access, so I leave it on there. I have the codes written down on my phone and I have my phone by my bed. LifeStation works for me and I would recommend it.

My sister-in-law is alone for majority of the day and her health care coordinator recommended that she get a medical alert device. She got one from Life Alert and she knows how to use it. It’s relieving for her family because they know that she has it in case there is an emergency. If she can’t get a hold of anyone, she knows that she can push the help button. She has both the alert device that looks like a watch and the necklace-looking one. She uses the necklace-looking device since it’s more convenient, rather than having that bulky watch on her arm. I’d recommend the LifeStation alert device because it puts people at ease and they don’t have to worry as much.

The people at LifeStation were very very polite and they answered my call right away.
I had a stroke a couple of years ago and then I got worse and the kids were away quite a bit and they didn't want to leave me alone. They decided to get me my medical alert device. I put it on when I get up in the morning and it’s on until I go to bed at night. I feel very protected. It is wonderful and it works really well. I don’t like the black band on it because it doesn't go with my other jewelry and it really stands out. I saw a white band which would have been better, but that’s all right. I haven’t tested it lately. But I’m very happy with it. It's very life-saving.

I got a cousin who also got a medical alert device from a different company. She said hers works in any place, but the one I got from LifeStation only works for about 65 feet. She can be on the road or she can be ten miles from home and her device still works. But I leave mine at home when I go someplace because there's no sense of wearing it if it didn't work.
I wear the device on my wrist and the band has broke on one side twice. The first time it happened, the band broke on its own and I had to order another one and LifeStation sent it to me for free. For the second time, I was just taking my sweater off and it was barely caught on my sleeve but it broke off. They said it would cost #25, but I told them I will just go to a different company if I have to pay for it. So they sent me the second one for free too. I wouldn't want to go without LifeStation. It's affordable and very reliable. Before getting the medical alert device, something happened to my body and I had to stand still if there's no blood supply for just a few seconds. It has gone away but it's the reason why I got the device. Last summer, I was out working and accidentally pushed the button. Here came the ambulance. And then LifeStation called my sister whom their team was supposed to call. It was A1 service. Overall, LifeStation made me feel independent. I had fewer worries too unless I forget to put it on. I have referred them several times.

I lost my husband and my youngest daughter within a month of one another, and I live alone. So, I thought that I needed a medical alert device. I have a bracelet, but half of the time I don't wear it. I have it on a piece of furniture so I can grab. Having it makes me feel more confident, except when I really need it is when I'm away from home and that is not any good. I've used the button several years ago, and the response was fast. The thing, however, that concerns anybody who has one of this is if the door is locked, and if you don't have anybody who can get in -- they'll have to break a door down. I'm supposed to check in once a month, but I have not pressed the button for two years now. So, I do not know whether my device is even working. Nevertheless, I have recommended it. One of my friends already has one and she has the lanyard, which she wears around her neck.

My nephew is the one to take care of me when something happens but he lives about two hours away from me and he feels better that I have my LifeStation device. I’m 88 years old but I still mow my field and work outside all the time. I also live alone and my nephew was afraid I’d end up dying out there in the middle of the field with nobody finding me for a while.
The people at LifeStation have always been nice. They helped me get connected when I got the equipment here and the rep on the line was good and patient with me to get it going. I wear the device on my wrist and I never take it off. When I check my equipment, they usually say "emergency" about five times before they come on and that’s okay because when they come on, they know my name so I think they’re checking to be sure. They've also always responded when I punched the button. A couple of times, I had hit the device and LifeStation called my neighbor whom I had listed as my first responder. She went up to the road to see what was going on but I didn’t know I had hit the button and they were real nice about that. The device gives me a feeling that I would be helped if I need it right away and I’m pleased with LifeStation.

My son set up LifeStation for me after we just got here, and I feel safe with it. I wear the necklace all the time because a lot of times, I'm here by myself or with the dog and the dog doesn't call very good. At first, I was calling there and telling them I was all right. But then, they told me that I didn't need to keep doing that, so I quit doing it. We used it one time and they took me to the hospital. Another time, the electricity went off and then when it came back on, they called me and asked if everything was all right because it called them when it came back on. But their response time was really good. I'm pleased with LifeStation overall.

I’m in good health and I’m a very active person. I go to the gym, I walk, and I’m out of the house every day. But I’m living in the house by myself, so my kids wanted me to keep the LifeStation medical alert device, although it’s not something that I would have kept. I had called the LifeStation team twice before with my husband, Henry, when he had not yet passed away, and the ambulance came within minutes. Now, the help button is around my neck. But if I want to use the service 24/7, I have to take with me this button, which is very heavy, as well as the small panel, and that's definitely inconvenient and I haven’t done that. There are other systems that have 24/7 service with one button or wristband and I’m actually in the process of investigating a system that only has one button.

I haven’t had to use the Lifestation device because I have a friend that lives really close if anything happens and they’re also on my button. There was a mistake once and a friend of mine must have talked to them. That’s a long time ago. Originally, I’ve had a broken hip. I have been so careful and I’ve been doing so well. Then I have the other hip got broken in two places the day after Thanksgiving. This break was five times worse because I fell on my daughter's kitchen floor on the tile. But I’m getting along. I got my walker. I don’t leave the house unless I’m with somebody. I’m still living alone, but, luckily, the people I have on here only live two blocks away. And Rita comes over here almost every day to check on me and I have tons of friends. So I’m keeping that on because I just never know.
The device is fine and I recommend it. It would be on the safe side ‘cause one never knows if something is going to happen and you live alone. Some people would just call for an ambulance, but when you don’t need an ambulance, you don’t need to spend the money on it. And I think it’s reasonable especially with the amount of money and the security that it gives you because if something happens, you got somebody who can help you.

I thought the Lifestation device was going to be a necklace, but she decided she didn't want to wear the necklace. We then got a bracelet. But she's almost completely bedridden now. She doesn't wear the bracelet so we have it on her bed, and it's there for her to push if no one's there. I doubt though if she would push the button because she doesn't want to bother anybody, but we still keep it because for caregivers, it's there. They can push it and immediately get help. It's a knowledgeable emergency person available without calling the fire department or 911.
The team at LifeStation was very informative and helpful and their response time is reasonable. Every so often, I'll push it just to make sure everything is still connected, and after 4 rings, they're there. I recommended LifeStation to my uncle who's a little older than my mother, but more coherent than she is. He has one, too.

All of her children live out of state and they wanted to make sure, so having the LifeStation is a very good thing to have. It is a very good program and we really like it a lot. But it took them a long time to respond recently. My sister accidentally hit the box, and she just stood there saying "hello?" for somebody to come on. It took LifeStation about five minutes to respond to her. When she finally got somebody, she told the rep that everything was all right and she just dropped her purse on the box. Then the rep told her that she should call in and tell the life alert people that it was a mistake, so she did that. But waiting for LifeStation to respond to her for five minutes was too long. When I realized what they did, I called them and asked if I could become a member and if I had a problem, I could call them. I’m 91 years old and I’m forgetful and hard of hearing. I have called LifeStation several times like one time when I just fell. I tell them my problem and they tell me to punch the button and I do. With LifeStation, I feel 100 percent better at night and by day and when driving. I feel very less worried and I'm more confident too. They helped me whenever I had a situation. We got LifeStation when my wife was at home alone a good bit of the time while I was at work. She purposely used it once or twice, but it was because she was in pain. But that was not something that the people that came could do anything about. She did not fall or something like that. That has to do with the chronic long-term pain that she had. Everybody were quick to respond before we knew what was happening. We had police and fire and everything else come out when she used the button. It’s all worked as it should so far. Their medical alert device was good at that time, but we probably are going to discontinue it soon because we’re at the point where we got to have to sit a caregiver here all the time.

Now that I’ve had it longer, I don’t call that often but I do call occasionally. I live by myself and I’m 90 years old now. A thought that comes to me, I could lay here for several days without anyone knowing about it. So I agreed and got one and I've been satisfied with LifeStation thus far.
Last summer, I pushed the button that I wear around my neck to see if it works. The device said, "Medical alert, medical alert", really loud. Somebody came on and asked if I needed help and I said that I was just testing my equipment. They thanked me and said they would cancel. Then about five minutes later, I got a call from my daughter. She said that she and her husband, who is also a contact person, got a medical alert on their phone about me. I told her I don't know why that happened, but I said I was fine. LifeStation is a facility that I have at my disposal and that part is okay. But unlike that organization that I had before that sent me two devices for free at the onset, LifeStation only gave me one facility. I figured they were cutting corners and that was why they didn’t send me two in the first place because usually, one would get one on a wrist and one for a hanging around the neck. LifeStation just sent me the part that I can clip into either the neck or the wrist. I use mine around my neck.
Also, my daughter got my device before from somebody that she knew and the company was very accommodating. But LifeStation has been mediocre. When I lost my device, I was very alarmed. I am old but I am a very busy person. I go from here to there and if I put it in a pocket, I forget where in the world I put it. I went through every sweater, jacket and everything that I thought could have it in. I went for more than two weeks before I contacted LifeStation and asked for another one. Their rep was a little hostile towards sending me another one and said to me that it was going to cost me $25. I said maybe I should take up on the people that kept calling me and offering me the devices free. And with that, LifeStation sent me another device and they didn’t request any money. But that really angered me.
I am almost 93 years old and people of my age often have Alzheimer's. There is a tendency for us to mislay stuff and I do have a problem. But I have been blessed not having Alzheimer's and I'm still living in my home. I have three children and they are all concerned about my welfare. My oldest son lives in Boise, Idaho, my daughter lives in Pocatello, Idaho and my other son lives in Cody, Wyoming. It's a blessing that I could still live here and I'm not an obligation to them because they would have to take care of me. That is why it is a necessity that I have the device because it hasn’t been too long ago that I fell in the basement. But horrors of horrors, I didn’t have it on me. I managed to get over to the stairway where I have a chairlift. I managed to stand up and was not injured. I never told my three children about the fall but they would have had a fit if they knew.
The only reason I took the LifeStation program was because it was offered to me through my insurance so I assumed it was less expensive. That was why I was kind of upset in the beginning because of the lack of sending me two and asking me to pay $25 to replace it. That is not doing much in the way of service with the people that are paying for the service because they are getting the money from me. At any rate, if LifeStation wants to retain a business and a company, the best thing to do is to make their customer very satisfied.
I eventually found the one that I first lost. It was in a drawer in a sweatshirt that had a pocket. Now I have two devices and I hang them in my bedroom when I take them off so that I know that they're always there. And since LifeStation was so reluctant, I thought I had better not ever mislay this again. The last time I used LifeStation, I contacted them and the man asked if everything was working all right. I told him I was just using it to establish that the device worked. I also wanted to check if they would respond and they did.

But the girls who answered were very nice and responsible. They tried to call because they thought something happened to me. They call anytime which is what I need. But I have to change it because it's not working right. I have the one for my arm as well, but I don't use it because I wet my hands constantly. LifeStation has been very good and it is one of the best things that has been made for us old people. I'm an old woman who lives alone with my puppy, but we have a good life. I have three daughters, and one is retired but the other two are still working. And they are so happy that I have this alarm system. My retired daughter lives in her house up the street from me. And if I fall, I will still have to use this to let her hear it. So, she could come down and see what's going on. I have cancer and my other daughters leave home from 4:00 in the morning to get to their job in Washington. They don't want me to be here sick without anybody with me. So, the best they could do was to get the LifeStation alarm system for me. I've had my LifeStation for more than two years. And I sleep with it, I shower with it, and it's on 24/7. It's as good as medicine.
The only time I have a problem with my system is when I'm making my bed or changing the sheets. Sometimes, if I'm not careful when I'm pushing the stuff at the foot of the bed, under the mattress, when I pull my hand out, it goes off. And then I run down the hall and turn the thing off. I hadn't wait that long to let the emergency vehicles to get here. But I have hit my button now so many times, and LifeStation called them. I love LifeStation and I will recommend them.

We feel very good and much better since we have LifeStation because I got him one of the things to put around his neck when I go to play Bingo and he stays home. Because one time when I played Bingo, he fell on the floor and he didn’t ring it but I happen to come right after he fell. I’m 92 and cook my own meals, clean my house and do my wash. I fractured a hip and I was in the hospital for six weeks. I progressed really fast. But after a year my hip started hurting, and went through therapy again. When I came home, I have somebody with me because I hadn't been in the therapy long enough to get that reliable on myself. So, I had someone for about a week and they drove me nuts. So, I got rid of them. I got a Lifestation and the service has been fine. They have certainly worked for me. The only thing I have done is setting it off accidentally and the ambulance has come through my driveway. It's so embarrassing. They would ask me if I’m all right and I would tell them yes and to turn it off. And we've gone through that about three times. I was telling somebody about it and he said I put it down in my bra–because the device was long enough to hit the sink, and that worked like a charm.
I’m also wondering why don’t they all get a white thing to go around the neck because the black thing, which goes around the neck, sometimes shows with certain clothes and it’s not very attractive. I suggest if one could choose or maybe they give two of them, one black and one white. One other thing is that when I first got the device, they put it in my bedroom, which is at the back of the house. And at any time, I'm not right there. I'm either in the kitchen, in the den or at the front of the house.
And so, I called them and they told me how to move it and I moved it in the hall by the front door. But I haven't been very happy with that because I thought if anybody really broke in, they would be knowledgeable and they would probably cut that wire right away because they would see it, since it's got a light. And I thought I really should put that back in the bedroom because that's where I would need it more than any place. So it’s not the company's fault because they put it where I would have it and I moved it. And it's no trouble to move.
We’re glad that having the LifeStation system could give you greater peace of mind, Barbara! Thanks for the review!

My granddaughter went online to find me medical alert device and LifeStation was the first one to respond and I like that they’re in New Jersey. I’m handicapped and when I had emergencies I call them. I've had about four calls. I fell and used the thing around my neck and they come on the line and they call for the ambulance or my neighbors. And I usually go to the hospital. I thought the response was a little bit long the last time but that may be because I was so nervous. They came on and they called for the police and my neighbor and then the police came and finally they called for an ambulance.
The last time I fell they had trouble getting me up but they did a good job. I just thought they could be a lot quicker. There’s monitors downstairs at the shelf but they don’t hear me well so I wish it was close. They changed my device not too long ago and they sent me a new one. They said the battery of my old one was dead but I don’t believe it. I think it was just that they had a new thing and they sent it. My friends sent it back for me. The device didn't seem to fit right away. My friend had a little problem fixing the new one. Maybe he didn't understand how to do it but he eventually fixed it. I had another medical alert device and it was costing too much money so I switched to LifeStation. I am a little less worried having it but I’m concerned because I have a feeling that the report of my fall goes to somebody in social services and I was taken to the hospital one time and a service worker came to speak to me and just the things that he said, I gathered that he was referring some report that he got about my fall. My friend might have said something not realizing that services can make a referral that somebody isn’t up to living alone anymore. I've only had to call LifeStation twice the whole time and they were very nice and I was satisfied. I feel secure that I can get help when I need it. I've gotten two new things. I went for the one around the neck. Then I got the one for my wrist. I got to try something different which I didn't like at all so I called up and asked them to send me the other one and they said "Well, you can just connect it. Don't you have a cord there?" And I said, "Yes, I do" I tried to connect it. I have no idea how to do it.
They walked me through it and the instructions they gave me are good for nothing. There's this black knob hanging down its cord which gets twisted all the time around my neck. Obviously I didn't connect it right. But I don't want to take it apart and do it over again. So I was a little bit upset. Because I asked for it they should have sent me a whole new cord. Also because this is third year that I've had it. I'm not happy with it because I figured to even wear it outdoors it's going to get all twisted because the thing isn't connected right to the black thing that I have to press.
Right now I'm more dissatisfied because they at least could have sent me a new gimmick for my neck. A cord doesn't cost that much. I was satisfied up until now. My sister and brother are the ones that are paying for it. Ever since I got it they split the fee every year. And when I told them what happened they weren't too thrilled about it.

LifeStation is cheaper than my previous medical alert service. I had my hip taken care of, and I'm not real sturdy on my feet. I feel safer with LifeStation. I like the idea of carrying a device that when I go out for an evening or something, I feel more safer. I thank heavens I haven't had to use it, but when I pushed the button on my machine, LifeStation's response time was not very long. I have told friends about it.

Still, I've had a very good experience with LifeStation and I would recommend them.

I've been more than 30 time in different hospitals. I have a half a lung as one side of a lung collapsed 70 years ago. With the congestion of the lung, the heart starts beating fast, so sometime I would be taken unconscious to hospitals. I needed a medial alert device because my heart is very weak and since I had this LifeStation device, I didn’t worry much. I carry it all the time except for sometimes, when I take I shower, I take it off and then I forget to put it back on. If I go in a car or away by myself, I just press the button and explain where I am and what has happened. About five weeks ago, I was trying to open a can and a jar. I was pressing hard and pressed the device on my chest which started the alarm. I got a call and apologized for it. They were very nice and understanding.
It’s wonderful and it’s good to have one. With just one press, help would come. I’m very happy and this is now on the second year I’m using it. But when I go to Canada to visit my children in the summertime, I wouldn't be able to use it. And although they provided a phone, it would't be the same thing as the medical alert device.

I live alone and I’m 81 years old. I have also fallen and broken my hip, and I got a lot of other things getting wrong with me. I feel good that I have the LifeStation device and that I can depend on it if I ever do fall. Last Sunday, I fell and couldn’t get up, and it worked good. But I go visiting my daughter who lives across town here in Louisburg and LifeStation wouldn’t do me any good if I would happen to fall over there. Nonetheless, I’ve been advising my neighbors that they should get one. I live in a senior citizen complex and my next-door neighbor had a knee replaced. She has fallen a couple of times but she’s getting around real good right now. When you get old and crippled up like that, everybody should have one.

My family worries less about me as I have LifeStation. When I wear it around my neck I'd have the button sitting out and something would accidentally something hit it. But now, I turn the button in towards myself and I don't have a problem with accidentally hitting the button. When my machine out there just was off they all call and ask if anything is wrong and I'll just say, "No. It's about the button." They have pretty fast response. But I don't know how far the reach is out. If I'm ten miles away and press the button if something happens, I don't know if it will respond or not.

I got the button two years ago and I try to wear it all the time. It’s comfortable and I’m getting along fine with it. But when I go someplace, I take it off ‘cause it wouldn’t help me. I have my cell phone too. I accidentally hit the button one time and they made quite a racket. I have the unit in my bedroom and I was further away. At first, I wondered what it was then I realized what it was and made it to the bedroom. I know the button works and because of that, I never test it anymore. I had to get a new one at that time too. I’d had the other one long enough and they felt I needed a replacement. They sent me a different one. The LifeStation button does what it’s supposed to do and although I see one advertised that you could punch no matter where you're at, I wouldn't want anything else here in the house.

I've been a widow for about 8 years now and my daughter felt that I should have some protection. I got a LifeStation and it's more reasonable than most of the others. I've usually tested the equipment from my bed and I should test it from my kitchen which is probably the farthest distance to the apparatus. It seems to work fine during testing but the response time of the LifeStation team seems to take a smidge longer than it should and I sometimes feel they could answer a little bit faster than they do. Other than that, the overall demeanor of the team has been perfectly fine and they're very professional. I have the device hanging on my swing lamp which is right next to my bed but I put it on when I thought about someone I know who had a stroke and lied on floor because they couldn't reach the telephone. And even though I have a daughter who lives very close by, LifeStation gives me a little extra feeling of safety.

Without me having to push a button or when I do accidentally, they always came out which makes me feel good. Then a couple of times, I didn’t get to the phone in time and they sent some help out. It takes the worry off your mind. I would recommend it completely because my only problem is the little buttons on it. One of them says trouble and blinks constantly which doesn’t seem right to me when there is no trouble that it’s showing all the time but I asked them about it and they said not to worry about it.

LifeStation saved my life twice. I feel much safer. The first time I was taking Coumadin I fell and cut my head. I was in the pool of blood immediately. And if my son hadn't known what to do I would have died then. The bleeding did not stop but he got pressure on it and got the LifeStation folks. And they sent an ambulance out and said he'd done exactly the right thing. They took me to the hospital. The place wasn't even big enough and I just bled. Then they took me off Coumadin and put me on something else. I'm a heart patient and I have COPD and I fall a lot because I don't have good balance. I just really feel more comfortable having LifeStation here.
Then I had a stroke and I was on the floor. My son recognized that it's a stroke and he just ran in the living room and yelled at it and hit the button from the hallway. He wanted to make sure I was okay and he yelled "My mom's having a stroke. Get somebody here." Within 3 minutes there was somebody here and I told them to take me to one hospital. They said, "No, we're going to take you to another one." And they took me to a hospital that had a trauma center for stroke patients where I immediately got emergency surgery. The LifeStation team were very knowledgeable. I wouldn't have live if they took me somewhere else. I would highly recommend them.

I got the LifeStation device because I was falling all the time. I've hit my LifeStation a couple of times when I shouldn't have but they've been real nice about it. I've called one night when I got up to go to the bathroom and hit the device on the door jam and it went off. But I just told them, "I can't wear it around of my neck because of my pacemaker and defibrillator. So I have to have it on my arm and every once in a while it would hit something and it goes off." I have been treated with nothing but courtesy from the people and they would say they're just glad that I'm okay.
They respond real quick and I'm very satisfied. When I've got this it's only good for around the house for about 300 feet. I got another one that I have in the car because when I go to Florida I'd like to have it. And I have never had to use that one. But it's nice to have it because in the road I'd be by myself. I've had LifeStation for quite a while now. My son chose it for me and he was determined that I was going to get one. So he ordered it for me and asked for my charge card. I'm getting older and he thought I may be having some problems in the future, so he just wanted to make sure I was able to contact someone. I did fall a month ago, but I managed to get up by myself. I wasn’t sure at first if I could. But I thought I would try to get up on my own first, and then if I couldn't, I would have called LifeStation. But I did finally and I did hit my head pretty hard. I'm still recovering from that and I still have a bruise.
One time, my dog pushed on the device and it came. But I didn’t even know it had been pushed. I was playing with my dog and evidently she pushed her paws there and turned it on. I didn’t even know until my son came over. They called him and he came over very quickly to see about me. And if they could not have contacted him, I'm sure LifeStation would have sent somebody out.
I have the bracelet, but I feel like it might get turned on accidentally more than a pendant. I still wear it at night, but I turn it around because I sleep with my arm up and that way it's not pressed against the pillow. The push button is facing up because that's the way I sleep. I have tested it a few times, probably not as often as I should. I just did that recently to make sure it was still working. And they did come and asked if I was okay and I said I was just testing it. And they have told me to do that, they wanted me to test it occasionally and make sure it's working properly. They answer very promptly, which is good. I would recommend LifeStation.

And because she lives by herself, I needed something additional just in case she falls down, she can reach out for help. We test the button regularly, but it took a while for LifeStation to respond the last few times. It took more than two to three minutes. Thank God she doesn’t have an emergency, so I’m not worried about it for now. They need to have a user-friendly arm wrist band, because the Velcro doesn’t work. She’s petite and she can wear the whole thing around her neck, that’s how bigger it is. Sometimes, she showers and leaves the unit on the side. You cannot get help if you don’t wear it. She worries about getting it wet so she takes it off when she showers. And I tell her that it’s waterproof, and to just wear it, but she doesn’t. God bless her, she’s 92. She is the one who researched everything like checking what I would need and how I will need it. That’s how I got to buying the LifeStation.
I tripped and fractured a bone in my leg. I couldn’t move and also blacked out for a short time. I pressed the button and LifeStation are the ones who came to the house and got me to a hospital. They were here pretty quick. I have a keylock with my house key in it outside the door, and there’s a code number so that they didn’t have to break in and destroy anything. All they had to do was call the customer service number and that gave them the opportunity to open the door. Because of it, I was fortunate. The medical alert device is what saved my life. I’m happy to have it. Otherwise, I could’ve been laying on the ground for God knows how long ‘cause I live alone.
With LifeStation, I have the monitor in the house and also have the necklace which I wear, and therefore I know I always have access for the service. It’s also in my planner to check the device once a month to make sure the device is operating properly, because this way, they know if it’s a good connection or not, to make sure that I always have that service. I would recommend LifeStation. I am very grateful and they were very accommodating to my needs.

So, I got a LifeStation through my medical plan. It does what it's supposed to do and I didn't look for anything else. One time, I had to use it and I was very happy about their response time. They said that they would get help for me and I was still on the phone talking to them when the ambulance, the fire, and the police were all right at my front door. I am in Brentwood and they are there on Brentwood Boulevard so it's not too far from them, but the response time was very fast. I went to the hospital and I was diagnosed with AFib.
Also, there was one occasion where I had the monitor around my neck and I went to bed. All of a sudden, the box lit up and the voices came on. While they were talking to me, they were in touch with one of my daughters and she came. She was on the front door when I'm still talking to the LifeStation agent, and that was impressive. That was also comforting. What happened was I laid on the device and it went off. Moreover, my interaction with their agent was very fast and nice. I've been very satisfied that I have a LifeStation. It has been a peace of mind for all of us to know that she's gotten her LifeStation device and all she has to do is press the button and get help. She used her emergency button once and people have shown up promptly. The ambulance people have even gotten to know her a little bit, which is very helpful. I’ve got a lot of health problems and I’m not all that stable on my feet. I’ve had four strokes, two heart attacks, and a few TIAs so I need to have availability for medical help when I need it. Also, I’m alone 99 percent of the time and my husband is only here on the weekends. He told me several times that he’s happy to know that there’s a medical team available for me to have access to and it gives him comfort to be at work and know that I’m taken care of.
I call LifeStation and tell them what’s going on. Their people are terrific. They are very pleasant, polite and right on the ball asking what I need. They stay with me until the paramedics get here or my neighbors. Last time I talked to them, I told them that I needed to go to the hospital because my doctor wanted me at the emergency room. She didn’t want my neighbor to bring me because I could have had another stroke or heart attack. There was some water around my heart and my legs were swollen severely. My doctor wanted me to go by ambulance. They were right down the road and just finished on another call. It didn’t take them very long to get here and that was nice.
The LifeStation is a security of knowing that if I need help, I could get it within a few minutes. It’s an asset to my life, my well-being. I can just press the button on my wrist. As I stride throughout the house and fall or if I have a heart attack or stroke, I can just press the button and they’re right there. They just ask me what I need, where I am and if the doors are unlocked and the access to it. Usually, I always leave the doors unlocked for them to be able to get in.

The kids wanted me to do LifeStation because I live alone. They felt more safe. I always thought against it because I was feeling okay. But it's safe and I probably should have it. I also have a friend who talked to me about LifeStation. She's used hers three times, and she loves it. She thought I should have it, too. I push the button to call in to see if it's working okay, and LifeStation responds right away. They're very good. I wear it on my wrist when I go to bed and the other night, it must have fallen off during the time that I was asleep. I woke up and I heard it beeping and beeping and calling emergency, emergency. I said sorry to the rep. She was going to send them right over, and I told her it must have fallen off and I lay on it the wrong way. But at least I know it works. I'd recommend them.

I'm in my 80's and I put on some weight and my ankles weren't that strong, and I fell several times. I had a spell of falling directly on my knees. One of my lady friends fell out of the shower, and she slipped and she broke her hip. And she had to crawl like two rooms to get to a telephone from the bathroom, and her alert was on the bed and it didn't do her any good. It prompted me to get an alert, and she also told me to get one. I got the LifeStation and I'm thankful that I haven't had an occasion to use it. I'm paying for it and I'm not good at wearing it and I know I should. I have it at my bedside and sometimes, I put it on when I go out in the yard.
I've learned my lesson, though. I slipped down the stairs and on a wet pavement, and I didn't have it. I am kind of hardheaded, and it's my own fault. So, if I take advantage of the proper use, it's great. Other than that, I feel safe knowing that it's hanging on my headboard. And if I slip and fall downstairs and a lot of good, it's going to do me up there. I'm pleased with it. There were a few times when the cat has set the alarm on, and I've gotten a prompt call. LifeStation's service was there. I'd recommend LifeStation. It is a good thing to have in case you needed it.

I’m 86 years old and I live alone and I’m really very healthy. But my LifeStation has been an assurance that I have some recourse if I fall or if I’m here alone and something happens. I have my device on a chain around my neck, and it’s under my clothes most of the time. I’ve never even really thought about it but I wear it and go on because it makes my children happy to know that I have it.
Anytime that I have pushed that button to check in, the LifeStation team answer immediately. I had set the alarm off once and I was outside and I didn’t even know it. The firemen came and they were very on the mark and they had come all the way through my house searching for me. And one of them said they've already been through the house searching for me. And so, I felt that it is good to me. I recommend it from time to time and if someone notices I have it on, I tell them I was very impressed with them.

One time, it was for breathing and I didn’t realize I had not turned on my oxygen that day. Their response time is in 10 minutes and I’m very satisfied with it. I definitely have fewer worries about falling down and I know I can push the button and get assistance right away. Also, I only test it when they tell me to and it works out real good. They’re very nice, they come in right away, and ask if I needed help. However, I can’t use it outside the house and the one they offer for outside the house and all over the world is more expensive. I hardly ever go out anyhow so I've no problem with the current button. I’m satisfied with it and I have a good experience.

But when an emergency happens, I never think to use the button, which sounds ridiculous. If I was in another room far away from the telephone, I might think to use it, but since most of the time I am in the living room where my telephone is, I just think about reaching for the phone. Also, they’ve been very nice because sometimes my grandbabies would get in there and push the buttons and they respond to that. Also, I didn’t realize that the pendant has gone dying until they sent me a notice in the mail that the pendant needs to be replaced. They're right on it and it was nice that they care enough about their equipment to keep an eye on it. I've had LifeStation for a couple of years now and the price is noble. I have had two falls, one of which sent me to the hospital and I had some broken bones. My daughter lives with me but she isn't always here, so we became fearful that something might happen when I was alone. With LifeStation, I feel like I have help at the press of a button. If I press that button for help, I feel confident that I could reach someone. It does what it’s supposed to do and it works if I need it. However, the box has been acting up and the toggle light would come on. We’d push it off, and later we’d find the trouble light on again. We talked to them and they said the battery was getting low. They sent me the third button that I’m wearing now. Occasionally, that trouble light still comes on. A couple of days ago, I was just walking around and the box says, “Emergency, emergency.” So, I turned it off and that hasn’t done that again. But I’ve wondered what’s going on and should it be doing all that or not.

I accidentally set the alarm off when I pressed against the cabinet and in my kitchen door. And their responses were really good, and I had friends and then the police come very promptly. Whenever I press the wrong button and LifeStation responded, they were all very cordial, pleasant, and ready to do the right thing. I had a good experience with them, but I would prefer that it worked outside as well. I may actually look into having something that works both indoors and outdoors because LifeStation has a limited possibility for that.

My mother had a mini stroke and she didn’t have a medical alert device before. After she got out of the hospital, we were concerned ‘cause she lived alone. The LifeStation team is very good. She's had their device for four years now. However, she accidentally set the device off two times and the EMF people came out. Both times she bumped it against something. She was by herself in the house and she didn’t even know the EMF people were outside. Because I was on a trip and was too far away, there was no way I could go and check on her.
Now she’s very hesitant to wear her necklace. She doesn’t want that to happen again. Also, now she has somebody that lives with her. It’s her son but we tell her to please put the device on. She puts it on because she knows that I am the one that’s paying for it. But she says she'll just wear it when her son is out of the house. It's limiting when she doesn’t wear it, and she does if she needs to. But people in their bedroom might fall asleep, and then lay on top of the device. She’s quite independent yet moving about, so I have concerns that if she’s not wearing it, it’s a waste of money. I still have to discuss that with her. Depending on a person's situation, LifeStation is a good thing for an elderly person to have, but they should also know about those little features.

So my children ordered the LifeStation for me, and I feel relatively secure with it. I always test it, but I don't always have it on everywhere in the house. When I shower and go to bed, it's sitting with the telephone on my desk so I can call 911 if I'm having a heart attack.
LifeStation calls very quickly if the alarm goes off. On one occasion, I had the device on my counter top and my maid accidentally pushed the button and I immediately went and turn it off. And then LifeStation called right back and see if I was okay. Even if you set it off and you turn it off quickly, they still text you. LifeStation is a little more expensive than the ones that can track you everywhere. But I don’t go that far from home and I usually go with friends or in my car. So if I have a problem, someone will come to my aid. And as far as my experience, I'm satisfied with LifeStation.

One time, I fell when I was getting up from a chair with no arms on it. I slid on the floor, crashed down and broke a hip. I broke another hip later and then a leg, but I'm still walking. I was in a house that has lots of stairs and I do what I can. My sister-in-law got a medical alert system for me and chose LifeStation. She did everything, which is so sweet of her, and she did it for me to stay in my home. And I'm really much happier here than being back in Ingleside, which I find really hideous. I wear the device all the time in my house and it's not in the way at all. Now, I go up and down the stairs, do laundry, wash dishes, do exercises, and walk to the drugstore. I've stopped driving which was a good thing.
I also test the LifeStation device once a month. Having LifeStation is a good insurance, even though I haven’t broken anything in two years. If I fall in the house and I'm not anywhere a phone, then I have a way to test it out. That makes all the differences and it's nice to know that it's there. Yet when I got a new key for the door and a new lock, there was something wrong with the key box but my nephew fixed it all up for me so it's all working fine now. I checked to be sure that one could open the little thing that contains the keys on the outside. LifeStation makes me feel secure and I'm all right.
