My daughter took care of everything with LifeStation, including getting the device and talking to people. And then she brought the device up here to me. She called quite a few of them before she decided which one she would deal with. She was very pleased with the LifeStation device that she got for me and she was glad that she took her time with them because they took time with her and told her the truth about the price and it was what it was.
I have asthma, I cough and sometimes I don’t think I'm gonna get my breath and that frightens me. But I worry less and feel safer now with the LifeStation. When I accidentally pressed the button they responded immediately and that made me happy. I had the device on my arm and I took it off and put it somewhere, and then I couldn't find it for three days. When I found it, my daughter fixed it so that it would go around my neck. I'm a little leery that I might sit on it in the nighttime and it would go off. But I'm getting more comfortable with it every day.
My daughter fixed it so that the bill automatically will come out of my account and I like that. I'm very happy that I have it. I have a burglar alarm on the door and I have the LifeStation in here to protect me if I need it with my health. I go to the Pascal Center and I recommend it to different people that live there. I'm gonna start with the seniors and I'd tell them about this device. I know it will be helpful to them especially if they live by themselves.

When things happen, LifeStation is very cooperative. Accidentally, one night my husband pushed his button and they came on and I said it was an accident. But one day when I was at my therapy, I had the GPS on my chest and when I turned over, it went off. I felt terrible because there was no need for it. But I find it very relaxing to know that we have it and they are right on the ball when something does happen. They call right away. I am really happy about that. Also, they call our "to notify" people right away. I've had my daughter call me and say, "What's wrong? What happened?" And I’d say, "Nothing, it was an accident". She’ll say, "Oh, mom, you gotta quit doing that." And our granddaughter that calls, "Grandma, are you okay?" "Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was an accident."
Other than that, we have had no reason to use it. But my husband and I are alone and he's handicapped and we're both in our 80s so they're concerned. Two of them live in Florida, one lives in Texas and one lives in California. They just want us to have it. My husband's on Medicaid and Medicare and we have help with the county. They put a medical alert device in here but it was only for at home and my children did not like that. And since he can't be left alone, the county took it out. Then the kids really got excited because we don't have anything. So now they feel better and they really like it that we have the GPS. Him being handicapped, if something happens I can get help right away. I definitely would recommend LifeStation.

I got LifeStation about a month ago and I went for it and got it for the whole year. However, I am seriously considering refunding it. I'm not happy with it at all right now. I have one of those pendants and I had to use it a week or two ago. I went choking and my daughter happened to be here who gave me the Heimlich maneuver which relieved me. At the same time, that silly squawk box just started hard. We didn't really have an emergency, but it was chaotic around here for a while. But it was a test day, anyway. So, I thought, "Well, now that I'm okay, I'll just tell her that it was a test."
Thereafter, it said, "Emergency, emergency," five or six times before they ever got to call whoever. But the LifeStation got the call. They got it at 12 minutes after. And one minute later, they immediately called to see if everything was okay. But there was a period between when they first started saying "emergency" and when somebody answered. It didn't go into the LifeStation. It went somewhere else first and I don't know where it went or why it didn't go straight to them because this is not the first time I had used the pendant. Before it's been immediate and this time it was not immediate at all. If my daughter had not been here, I would have been in bad shape. I live alone and that's why I have this pendant. We can't afford to have that much time if something is seriously wrong.

I suffer from a chronic illness where it affects my endocrine system and some other systems in my body and there'd be times when I'd pass out. I have LifeStation for about two and a half years now. I wear the device when I'm home alone and nobody's here to see if I'm conscious. But they don't have a fall detection. I've needed it to save me once and it's been great. Their responsiveness was good and the paramedics showed up no more than 20 minutes.

I would really recommend LifeStation. I did with my mom and tried to see if she could get it because she needs it and I know it’s gonna help her a lot.

I'm 73 and I'm an active person who is used to walking two miles every day. I live alone and there was one time when I fell accidentally. Everyone was concerned. I wasn't really strong walker for a while and I recovered in seven weeks from a little compression fracture. My son who lives in California got really concerned and got me a LifeStation. It's all hooked up now and ready to go, and all I have to do is put my bracelet on. My son wanted me to put the lock on the back door but I assumed putting it on the front door was best. It's good to have the medical device because I'm not my usual self of being very strong. It's also a really good idea to have something like this when you just never know. I would definitely recommend LifeStation to people who are alone.

I heard from other people that their medical alert device's battery wasn’t working or the company's reps didn’t have a good response. So, I put off getting one. Then, I spent nine hours on my shower floor and wasn’t heard in spite of making a lot of noise. That kind of showed me I really needed to do something, so I got the LifeStation. So far, I've had a great experience with them. I accidentally set my bracelet off this week and their reps were very fast to reset the thing. They were very prompt and courteous as well. Then they wished me a good day and didn’t complain at all. I feel much safer because of my device and I’m very glad I got it.

I have bad knees and I'm 77. I've fallen before, so I wanted to make sure I have somebody to call on if I do. I had a medical alert device but it had gone up so much, it's so expensive. So, I researched and then found LifeStation. Their team was good. Also, I feel safer when I'm wearing the device. I’d rather not wear it around my neck though, but that’s the only way theirs came. The one I had before fit on my waist and had a clip on it, so I could hide it. Still, I would recommend LifeStation. When I was testing the button, they responded right away. My husband has one too.

My doctor set me up with LifeStation. I live alone, and she wanted me to have something to call for help if I needed help or if I fell down. I've been using the LifeStation device for probably seven years now but the first couple of years, it wouldn’t work at my house. I live in a brick apartment-type building, and the brick interfered with the wireless. A few years later, the equipment is better and it works fine now. I try to test the button regularly and the LifeStation team's response has been pretty quick. It's just within a minute or two. They're very friendly and they explain anything I need explained. They’re fast to answer too, and make sure I'm okay. And then after a while, they call me and tell me, “Push the button.”

I had a bad asthma attack one time and my husband was on the phone while trying to make sure I was still breathing right. With LifeStation's device, he could talk, and look at me, and hold my hand all at that same time. I test the LifeStation device every month and it has been working well.

I initially called for information and told LifeStation that I would get back to them. I was doing a little bit of research. However, they went ahead. I was doing it for two alert systems, one for myself and one for a relative in Florida. I tried getting back, but I could reach them after quite a bit of time. Then I got in the mail two boxes of monitors, both of which not had been authorized and were charged to me. And one was supposed to go to Florida anyway. And after seven phone calls and seven different people, I finally have returned both boxes. I have received credit for one and I’m waiting for credit for the other one and this has been going on since first week in April.

I live alone, I mow my own yard and everything and my friends are getting afraid and wanted me to be protected so I got LifeStation. It’s too premature right now to use it. I’m not dizzy and I’m not passing out nor falling. Also, I was a dancer so I have a pretty good balance. But a couple of times, I felt the need for it. I just got back from the casino and I decided I really should have had it on. I meant to do it, but I forgot. I tested it once and they responded very nicely. I need to have it done it again but I I've been a little on the busy side and haven’t gotten around to it.
I wear it if I don’t feel too good and if I’m going to a grocery or store, I might put it on. But I haven’t because I feel pretty good right now. I don't like that it’s bulky and I don't wear it more often because I'm well-endowed as far as my breast is concerned and sometimes, it feels very uncomfortable. I know I can make it shorter, but then it chokes me so, I don't need that. Also, my legs are not strong sometimes when I take my shower and I get a little afraid in there. So, it would be nice to have one that I could have close in the shower. So far, I've not had any problems and that's good enough for me for the present time.

LifeStation is the first medical alert I've ever had. I have a two-story house and I worry about falling when I go up the stairs or if I go in the kitchen, but not since I've had that. I feel more safer with it. Luckily, my granddaughter is with me, but you never know. With LifeStation, I feel more comfortable because I can just push the little button and I know somebody would come on the line. I take it around my neck when I go out and I've had no problems with it. So far, I'm still getting used to it. I have to watch it though because it's very sensitive. Nonetheless, their reps were outstanding. One time, I went to bed with it on. I guess I bumped it and their rep started talking to me. There was also a time when I was in the motor vehicle place and it went off. The lady called me right then and she was very nice. I'm very satisfied with them. Overall, LifeStation is outstanding. I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

About six months ago, I stood up very quickly and got dizzy, fell and broke two ribs. I have four children that were concerned about me and none of them lives close by so, over a period of a half a year, I figured out that I needed something to put their mind as well as mine at ease so I decided to do some kind of an alert. I started doing my research on alert systems and LifeStation was one of the higher-rated ones at AARP plus, it has GPS in it which I like a lot.
I wear it around my neck and it’s pretty bulky but after the first couple of days, I don’t even think about it and it’s fine. Once a month, I accidentally drop it and it's got a fall detection system and the people call right away. And if it doesn't happen, I usually push the button and tell them it's a test. They respond very quickly and within five seconds, they're calling through the device. I have spoken to them through the device and I called a couple of times about how to make sure that I’m always charging it properly and they've been very knowledgeable and excellent. So I've been very happy with them and I would recommend LifeStation.

My wife is disabled and in a power wheelchair. LifeStation was selected by Prosper Home Care because it has a fall alert whereas the one we had before did not. The device is part of the service that our healthcare service provides. With the LifeStation, our sense of security is much better. If something were to happen to me, my wife can summon help.
Their reps were extremely good during the initial installation period and the couple of times we’ve set the device off to test it. And when the device went off once when my wife dropped it, it thought that she had fallen and LifeStation's response was quick. All in all, our experience has been really good and seamless. So to ease their worries, I agreed to buy an alarm system and bought the LifeStation a month ago but the button wasn't adequate in certain places of the house. I have to move the phone line into a different room. It’s in the farthest part of the house from where my alarm system is and in between them, the refrigerator is so that’s soaking up the signal. But the system works. When the alarm goes off, the LifeStation rep said that he can hear me. But I can’t hear him and I’d like to get that fixed. My mom's only had LifeStation for a couple of weeks. But she fell yesterday and she had taken it off that morning when she washed her face. So she didn't have it. So I had to get my neighbor go open the door and she wasn't hurt. They could pick her up and put her back in a chair. But then she scooted the chair towards the table and hit the device on the back of the chair. So it went off but I cancelled that one. I told her not to wear it under her clothes. That way, when she leans up to get something, she would know to pull it aside because it would go off. She's doing that now and she promises never to take it off. We're learning every time something happens and it’s helping me work. My dad can't hear if she hollers and I was a nervous wreck so it's been helping me more than it helps her. He was a very good salesman and could convince any elderly person that they needed it and that their alarm system would be the best in the country. She doesn't have a smartphone either. When I called and spoke to a gentleman, he was very polite, patient and helpful. He didn't pressure me but he didn’t press that if I wanted to get a special rate I needed to decide right away. He reassured me that we had 30 days and if we didn't like it, they won't charge. I asked him if I have to sign a contract and he also confirmed a lot of things that we saw on the website.
I told my husband that it felt a bit like when you go into a car dealer. It was quite legitimate because I decided I wanted that price because it was fairly reasonable. You have to pay an extra $5 a month when you don't have a landline or a computer versus people that do because the device is a little different. The rep gave me a reference number and I told them I needed to check with my mother to make sure which device she wanted, the necklace or the bracelet. He said as long as I have my reference number, I can call back. He gave me almost two weeks to get us all set up.
When we called back a number of days later, I talked to a woman versus a man. I asked her what the rate was during that time and it had gone up. So I felt like the first rep was honest because I kept thinking that if I called back, it was gonna be the same rate. I wondered if I call back if it’s gonna be the same rate. I told the person that I was calling because I wanted to give them more information about my mom. The guy asked what we needed so I told him and he told me what the rate was and it was about $6 more. I told him that that was not the rate that I was quoted. And I told him the way I was quoted and gave my reference number. He then said, "Oh yeah, now I can get to it."
I like the company per se and they were very responsive when I called them. I have several siblings that live close to my mom and I don't personally live that close so I felt the need to have the device. My brother who lives very close to her helped her set the device up in her house right about the end of March. And he told my mom to take the first of the month and at least test it to make sure that it works. I'm on the plan right now where I get a text and email and my siblings get texts, which was very nice of LifeStation to set up. The next day, I received another text and email. She tested it April 1st and May 1st. Also, I've seen her several times and she was wearing the bracelet. It's working fine as far as I can tell.
I asked LifeStation many times if there was a fee every time she tests it. They said no and so far it has been okay. But then when I was reading the contract before I sent it in, it said that they have the right to charge you if you're doing it excessively. So I called them back and said, "I'm not signing this before I understand what is excessive." The gentleman on the phone said, "I've been here for a long time and I don't think I've ever seen them charge anybody." He said that he has heard of somebody who was doing it every time they went somewhere and were doing it many times throughout the day. That's when they said that it was a bit excessive. I asked if at some point my mom gets nervous tests twice a month, would I suddenly see extra charges. They said, "No." Everyone that I've spoken to so far has been very polite and professional. And my mom has communicated back to me that when she tested it, she seemed fine with it.

The only real reason I have LifeStation is because they’re attached to Aetna. And right now, Aetna’s going up so I’m not happy with them. But they have to do that because I get older. Also I have to have something that will cover more than 500 square feet in the house. When they call when I have a problem, they are really kind and nice. I haven’t pushed that button but when I walk by it and see that little red thing flashing, I know it’s working and it’s trying to connect. They do can answer when I press the button.
LifeStation was less expensive and I like the size of it. So far, I have a fine experience with it except it’s not always working due to the connection to the antennas. It's really funny because right back way across from where I live is a field of antennas but they need one that works well with Verizon. They use AT&T and it doesn't do well here at my location. I had dropped it and usually it will go off but it hasn't yet. It’ll probably not work if I fall in the house. But it’ll work if I fall outside, when I’m walking the dog and worried about coyotes getting him.

My mother is 86 years old and somewhat physically handicapped as far as getting around. Furthermore, she lives by herself and that's why we got the LifeStation system in the first place after she had a round in the hospital last spring. So far, while our experiences with the system are excellent, we had a couple of false alarms. It happened before two times when it went off and we weren't even touching it. And one time, my mother was in the shower and she must have touched it accidentally and they came out before she could hear it from the speaker thing in the bedroom. False alarm aside, we have peace of mind that all she’s gotta do is hit the button and somebody will come figure it out. I appreciate their patience on the false alarms as well.

Because I was experiencing a lot of pain and was not getting around very well, my daughter arranged for a LifeStation medical alert device for me. One time, I was at my son's house and it didn't work when I used it. Then when we went to another area on the property, we got a phone call from their office saying that they heard from me, but I didn't push the button. Maybe it was a delayed reaction from a couple of hours ago and it was a little strange. Also, the cord was working well at first because it was adjustable. But now, I can't get it to be adjusted so it hangs too low. I had the cord go around my neck twice but then it pulled my neck and people would see that and they would say, “Oh! It’s too tight!” So, I could use a different strap for the button.

My father is 88 and he needed something that he could wear in the shower and when we are not in the same room with him in case he falls. But I'm unhappy with having to charge the LifeStation device three hours a day. That's a big deal. That's three hours that it's not hanging around his neck. We can still press the button while it's charging but even though it’s there, it’s not immediately available as when it's hanging around his neck or on his wrist.
We weren’t told anything about the charging when we initially got it either and we were also not told that there was no instruction book available so it was something that we did not find out about until this past week. When we got the device, I assumed that they just didn't send a manual and I assumed the button would be charged once a week but when I called them to tell them that it was dying, I was told about the charging time. Other than that, we’ve been satisfied with LifeStation. We’ve been using it for about three months now and we feel more secure when our father's in the shower. When we tested it, the response was immediate.

I used to have a medical alert service but didn't care for it and it was only in the house. Now that I have LifeStation, it goes where I go and I wear it while I travel. I could call somebody and I've got two people who live nearby who will be notified also if I needed help which makes me feel better. I pressed the device a few times outside to test it and I've got pretty rapport with LifeStation. With the other one that I had, it would take too long for somebody to answer. LifeStation, on the other hand, would answer within a minute or two which gives me confidence and it is what I need. And so far, when I asked LifeStation, all my questions have been answered. I was kinda concerned whether it was gonna go through or not when we push it. But the service works and everything’s good. LifeStation is reliable too. Up to now, the customer service, a live person, has been there.
My mom accidentally pushed the device a couple of times and I've gotten a response back from the dispatcher immediately. Sitting here with my computer at home, I had an episode of a dizzy spell that wouldn’t go away and it frightened me. I also live alone so that triggered me into looking at different kinds of things so that I would have someone here at the end of my button. I did a lot of research, and I have chosen Medical Guardian. I liked it but it was too expensive for me. So I went with another one, GreatCall, but I didn’t like it. The service would have been wonderful and the price was right but the equipment failed on me. The recharger wasn’t working correctly. They chose to send me another one and it still wasn’t charging. I needed to charge it for as long as five hours at a time, which I felt was kind of excessive when it’s supposed to be a medical alert. So I returned it and went with LifeStation.
I had a wonderful experience with LifeStation. Fortunately, I haven’t had to use it for any emergency but I have accidentally bumped it a few times and caused it to buzz, which alerted on their end. When I got on my golf cart, I have leaned across the steering wheel to turn the device on or off and that was when it accidentally hit somehow. So I turned it backwards on my body, so it wouldn’t do that next time.
The first time I accidentally bumped it, I didn’t realize that when that happens, the people that I had listed as emergency call persons in addition to LifeStation's service would get alerted as well. And there were three people on there and all of them called. I didn’t want that to happen again. So we chose to eliminate that first step and that LifeStation would contact me first before the emergency persons on my list got alerted. We set it up that way and it’s a good thing too because I had accidentally set it off several times. I feel so stupid when that happens. Nevertheless, I was very satisfied with LifeStation's reaction time and their assistance. I would tell my friends to look into LifeStation and put it on their list.

My mother lives alone, does her own thing, and doesn’t drive, but she gets along well. Although she's feeling a little stressed about being on her own, she doesn’t want to do anything differently. But she lost her balance, fell, and couldn’t get back up a couple of times, and that was the main reason that we got the LifeStation medical alert device for her, and it has made her feel more secure.
Setting up my mom's LifeStation device was easy. But she thinks that it was easier with her other alert device. She was able to wear that other device out and about and she thought that was better. But when she was out and about, she was with us, so she didn’t need to wear it anyway. With LifeStation, her base station is the only place that she can reach anybody when she’s in her house and that was what the whole point was, but she just doesn’t get that. We got her a different thing and the LifeStation device was slightly cheaper than the other one. Also, the other device did a lot of blinking, but the LifeStation device doesn’t do that. Moreover, my mother had to charge the other device all the time and I’m not sure that she got the charger in right.
My mom sometimes let her device sit on the sofa beside her and I told her that was not gonna do any good if she got up and did something. She said that she took it to the kitchen and laid it down there, but I told her to put it on. When we set the device up, LifeStation's response time was very long and it was much longer than the response time of the other alert device company. When we called LifeStation, nobody picked up the call for a long time and that didn’t seem right. With the emergency service that LifeStation is providing, they should pick up calls within three or four rings, but it took them 10 rings to do that, and that was not acceptable. Nevertheless, I’m hopeful and trusting that the LifeStation guys are on top of things.

I have done the testing on it and their response was fast, plus the person I got was adorable. My only concern is that if the phone lines aren’t working, the LifeStation won’t work too. And my grandmother claims her phone lines weren’t working the other day. So it would be good if they can find a way for the equipment not to be dependent on the phone line. Other than that, I would definitely recommend LifeStation.

I'm 87 years old and I've fallen a few times. I'm glad that I have the LifeStation. I put it in my hallway and I can be heard from the kitchen. While I don't pay much attention to it, I know it's there if I need it. Once I pressed it accidentally and had gotten past it all. Then I tested it on the 13th of the month and I thought it beep quite a few times before someone answered. The first time it was much faster. Nevertheless, LifeStation was good and it's at the right price. Furthermore, I didn't have to sign a contract. I recommend it.

I'm a widower and I live by myself. I have six children but they're spread throughout the United States except for one here in town. Barbara is my right arm and she insisted that I have a medical alert device for her comfort. I usually wear the device on top of my t-shirt and then I put it underneath there. And then I have it on a long-sleeved shirt.
And so far, the device from LifeStation has worked out well although I trigger it once in a while. If I'm eating soup and lean over, it will trigger the device but the alarm doesn’t bother me. I go up, go to the speaker and acknowledge it. Although about a month or so ago on a Sunday morning, I don't know how I triggered it. I don’t wear it while sleeping anymore. I have it where I can get it within an arm's reach but I must've triggered it because I was brushing my teeth and getting ready for breakfast and I heard pounding at the front door.
It was Summit Township Fire Department with a big apparatus and the ambulance. They were looking after me. When I mentioned that to my daughter, she said it shows that LifeStation is efficient. Also, the people from LifeStation are more courteous as to follow ups and they wish you well. AThere are no rules saying you should do this or do that. I couldn't ask for any nicer people to deal with. I have already recommended LifeStation to some of my former co-workers and friends. They were all interested. One party signed up for it. I told them about the merits of it, the peace of mind it brings to those who are caregivers, and no inconvenience.

The team at LifeStation was very helpful when I ordered the device, when it arrived and to get it set up. We talked to them during the practice run once and the device was easy to get started. It's very easy to use and it gives me a peace of mind of having a backup system.

I fell in my kitchen one time and my daughter and son-in-law were here when that happened. It startled all three of us, and so, we began to think about a medical alert device because even though my husband is still living here with me, he's very forgetful and he doesn't really understand a lot of things like calling 911. Both Ron and I are 91 years old. So, the medical alert device is one of those things that we think is a good idea.
I know that the LifeStation device is there when I need it and I feel more comfortable with the idea that if I do need help, I would get it. I've accidentally pushed the button of the LifeStation twice. Their team answered and have been very understanding and said that it was fine. The response time was very fast. Still, I wish that there was some way that when I do call by accident, I could push a button that says, "This was an accident. Forget it." I feel bad that I take up their time for nothing. Nevertheless, the experience with the LifeStation has been very good.

With the LifeStation device, I feel better and safe. I wear it around my neck and I have one in the bathroom as well. Also, LifeStation's customer service was fine. I’ve tested the device twice and each time, it was an okay experience. However, the second time I tested it, the recording on it kept saying, “Keep holding. We’ll connect you". So the response time wasn’t immediate. Also, when I first started with LifeStation, I asked if I could receive the brochure in the mail and the person I was talking with said it might take them four or five days to send it out, but I never received it. When I finally decided I was gonna go with LifeStation, I asked that tech that I was talking with and he said I should receive it in another couple of days, but I never did. But it was okay and information came with my unit, so I have it now. It just didn’t come as I had requested.

Everyone at LifeStation has been absolutely fantastic. They have responded really fast once I pushed the button. Every time I've fallen, they've stayed right on the line too. I'm very happy with it and I had recommended it before. I use the one on the wrist during the day and at night. And when I take a shower I use the one for the neck. The one for the neck is fine but the wrist, it's still a bit too long and I had to trim it down. Also, this one's Velcro. That's the only problem I have right now, I have to slip it off my wrist because it's hard for me to use the Velcro. I had some shoulder replacement and I just fell. My daughter was gonna take me to the hospital because she lived in the same complex as I do but it hurt so bad I couldn't do it. I pushed the button and had them come and pick me up and take me. As soon as they got me in the ambulance, they gave me some pain medicine. That time, they responded in 5 minutes, which as excellent. I've also pushed the button accidentally and they were right there. They asked me if I needed help and I told them that I pressed the button accidentally.
The necklace I had before wasn't working if I go outside, and took me the longest time to realize. Then, I put a new one on and I can go anywhere in the United States and I don't have to have anything except the necklace. I also called in once to ask about new updates and I told them how the new one's battery was a little heavy. The rep told me that they didn't have any updates and that they did away with the old ones because they didn't work. I thought, "Well, that's good because that was an awful lot of stuff to carry around."
A mother and daughter were moving in next door and I told them about Lifestation. The mother can barely walk so I gave the daughter information. I would highly suggest that even if you're in your 50's or 60's, get the LifeStation medical alert device because if you want to live by yourself, you better take precaution and safety measures.

I live in Savannah and when I left and went to Jacksonville, by the time I've come back the charge was down and I had nothing. And the same thing happened with the second one. I went up to about 30 miles from where I live and when I came back, it did the same thing. I felt like I had something on my body that was trying to recharge and when I got home it was dead. I also put it on the charger at night and when I get up in the morning I put it on. At about three o'clock, I go put it back on the monitor and sometimes, it does the same thing where it's like it's cutting off and trying to recharge.
I tried mashing it so that I could give alert but it didn't make anything at all. I would call LifeStation on the phone and they would tell me what to do but it was nothing that I haven't been doing. It seemed like when I put it on the charger, I had to put pressure to it in order for it to come up to charge. But I didn't think that was necessary 'cause if you put it on the charger, it should charge.
The customer service people are very polite and and friendly though. They tried very hard to help me through whatever problem I had. The one I have now is my third monitor and it's different from the other two that I had. It's a little lighter and so far, so good with this one. I call every two months to make sure that it's still working. I appreciate the LifeStation device and I like it because I'm alone and I like to go outside and work. I have had a really good experience with my LifeStation. I only use it when I really have to, unless it’s an accident and it goes off itself. It's very sensitive, unlike the first one that I had. They sent me a new unit, and I put it on a string and wear it around my neck and I would just press it. The other day, it caught on the top of my pants and when I pulled it up, it set it off. Once in a while when I fall down, I can't get up so I have to call someone. One time, I used them when I fell on the front concrete porch. I had two doors between me and my little thing in the kitchen. I hooked it up and then transformed it and it worked perfectly. And they were really fast and alert. It is usually never the same person twice so they don’t get mad at me for doing it.
I feel more secure with LifeStation because I know that they will help me if I need someone. I have two sons but they have their families and they’re all busy. Plus, I don’t have any neighbors next door to me. My device is 600 feet from the receptor in the kitchen and that’s really all I need because I don’t go outside at all. And it's not that expensive. I’ll recommend them to everybody.

But I can push my life alert and I can have somebody here within 10 minutes.
When I press the button, everything is excellent. The rep at LifeStation calls and asks me if I'm okay and tells me they got an ambulance on the way. Then they’ll check back in and say somebody is coming, and it’s been really good. With the LifeStation device, my sense of security tremendously changed. My mom's had to activate the system a couple of times when my father had fallen. She is the panicky type and she gets all over the place when things are not going the way she thinks they should. Every time that it was activated, it was needed to get my father off the floor. He never severely hurt himself but it was needed 'cause she couldn't lift him up herself and they've always gotten help promptly.
Plus every time that the system was activated, LifeStation contacted me to let me know that it was activated and that they were sending help. And then I could further contact my sister or my mom on another line to see if everything was okay and she would let me know exactly what was going on. But I’ve accidentally hit the help button several times and the reps have always been very nice when I called and told them I had done that. They’ve also been very nice when I called them for my monthly check. One time, I had something wrong with the device and they were very nice about taking care of it. Everybody that I’ve dealt with at LifeStation has been very nice.

Three years ago, I lost my husband and I wanted to stay in my own home so my children said that I should have something in case of emergency. I said that I got the phone, but my daughter said that the phone might not be in the same room. She got the LifeStation, had me have it in the house in case I fall because my legs are bad, and is the one paying for it. I've had it for two and a half years now and I wear it on a bracelet. And the LifeStation team has called me a couple of times. We lost the power one time and it didn't flash red but I understood that if I lost the power then it'll go on battery, so I figured it was on battery because it was still inactive.
Also, I was wondering now if I have to call in every so often to check the device. My daughter asked me if I checked it and I said that I forgot. Other than that, the LifeStation is a security thing. It's there if I need it and I have a monitor that I can carry in my pocketbook in case I'm somewhere and I fall or have an accident. All I have to do is push that and the people at LifeStation can reach me through satellite and would give me help. I would recommend LifeStation. I've got a girlfriend who doesn’t have one and I keep telling her that she should have because she lives alone too.

I live alone and I'm 95 years old. My kids got worried and that led me to get the LifeStation. I'm on a fixed income and so my son pays for it. So far, my experience with the device has been great. Several times, I would accidentally hit it then the people at LifeStation would get on and call me. One time I called them because I needed help and they were here. I wear the LifeStation device all the time. I put it on the nightstand next to my bed at night and I don't take it into the shower, but I have a walk-in shower, so I put it down the side. If I fell and I was not wearing it, my kids would be upset and that terrifies me since they're paying for it. I would tell other people about the LifeStation, too. If they are living alone and not many people are coming around, then if they happen to fall, the LifeStation would be available for them and help would be available for them real soon as well.

I was having a lot of back problems that were affecting my legs. And my son, being an LA City Fire Department fireman and paramedic and search and rescue, he said, “Dad, get mom one of these. You don’t know how many calls I go on on that very same thing.” And so I now have the LifeStation. Their team has been very pleasant and their response time is great. I have accidentally pressed the button a couple of times and right away they'd go, “Joan, are you all right?” And I said, “Yes. I pushed the button on accident.” I haven’t done it often though and I don’t check it as often as I should either. And when my husband is home, I don’t wear it since I’m not alone. Otherwise, I wear it. I do it more for their peace of mind than mine.
Overall, I’m happy with the service. When I’m doing a check on my bracelet, I tell them I’m doing a check. I don’t really like the bracelet though. It’s so cumbersome, but it’s fine. One of the main things, however, is that if I were to fall outside, the device would not do me any good. And having had three back surgeries, I go outside and I have to walk.

So far, I haven’t had an emergency. The only day that I fell down was when I put the device down to be charged. When I went into another room, I fell down. My son was here at that time so I didn’t have to use the device. But I used it after so they could call an ambulance. I wear the necklace and a lot of times, I had pressed the button by mistake. So if I had fallen and I injured myself, it would take about three minutes before they get to question me. And that is too long. Also, if I actually fell and I was unconscious, they wouldn’t be able to talk to me. If they said, "Is this Robert...," I wouldn't be answering. I live by myself at least a mile from the nearest neighbor and half an hour from a town. And so being this far out, my kids decided that I needed something in case I fell and couldn’t get to a phone. My experience with LifeStation has been very good. I've had no problems at all. I've pushed the button by accident twice. One time, I laid on the button and the other time, I had it in my pocket, bent over and pushed it accidentally. The main box says, “Emergency, emergency. Are you all right?” and if I don’t answer right away, it gets louder with the same announcement. So, I have to answer to talk to somebody and say I’m fine. My house is long and it takes me a while to get there.
My device gives me peace of mind. And I found out that it can reach 300 feet outside my house and that’s good. The fact that it reaches outside is not something that I was told at first. And it would also be important for other people to know because it’s not in the advertising. In the summertime when I’m working outside, if I should fall or have a problem, I can push the button and it will still respond. I tried three others before I settled on the LifeStation and they all said I can take it outside and I explained my situation where I live. One of them insisted that it would work after I got it and it didn’t. When I called, the rep said I should stand on my front steps and so I did just one foot outside my house and it didn’t work. That person finally gave up and had to agree that it does not work outside in all situations. I would recommend LifeStation to my friends. Somebody came on and asked me how I was -- if I had fallen and needed help to get up or if I was hurt. I told them that I was hurt and they said that an ambulance was on the way and that they’ll alert the Fire Department. The Fire Department came and LifeStation had given them the code on my lockbox, and it went really smooth. I was impressed. The response time was very good. My father was falling, so we got a LifeStation medical alert device for him. Although we haven’t used it for quite a while, we had to use it once recently. That one time, it woke me up, which was good, but the LifeStation response team couldn’t reach my sister. Even though I was in the house with my father at the time and I told them that they didn’t need to make any other calls, except to 911, and that I would notify my sister, they still called my cousin and woke him really early, and he wasn’t tremendously happy about that. So, they didn’t exactly follow my instructions when I talked to them.
Basically, if we tell the LifeStation team that all we need is a call for a lift assist and that my father is not going to the hospital, then all we need is for him to be lifted up and for them to call 911 for us, and they don’t have to call and ask someone to bring in a stretch chair, and they don’t have to call everybody else on the list. We'd like them to follow those instructions.
But other than that, the customer service was fine. I interacted with the reps a couple years ago as well and I’ve had no problems in my interaction with them, other than at that particular time. Since my father has been using the LifeStation device, we've had some peace of mind since we know that if one of us isn’t here, there’s always a backup system in place. Right now, though, somebody is here around the clock. Nevertheless, I would recommend LifeStation. I am disabled and I have home health care. Now, I’m dependent on a walker and oxygen ‘cause I developed polycythemia vera, which is a bone marrow disorder. I’ve also developed osteoarthritis from hip to hip as well as deterioration of my lower disk because I have no abdominal muscles. I’m like a broken tree. My daughter insisted on getting a LifeStation because I live alone and I'm 91 years old. I feel more confident with it and if I'm here alone and I fall, I have that around my neck. Also, I was always hesitant to go in and take shower with nobody here but now, I would bring my portable phone in the bathroom with me and wear the necklace. I had to order another console because the batteries died in it. I got that and it was very good. Now, I have a problem with the system and they claim there's nothing they can do about it. It is so loud when they call me that I even take my hearing aids out but it's still so loud. I can't understand what they're saying. So if I ever have an emergency, the only thing I can do is to say what my problem is and I could not listen to their report to me. But they said there's no way they can lower the sound on it.

I had a medical alert device for my dad and when he passed, we turned it off. Then, my mom went through a time where she was feeling dizzy and she fell over a couple of times. She's better now but I wanted to turn the device back on so when something happens, she could say, "Call my daughter." But the prices of the company I had for my dad's device had tripled. So I went and investigated other alternatives and I ended up with LifeStation. They were very nice people that helped me get it hooked up and set up and their price is much more affordable. I have more peace of mind knowing that she can push that button. Mostly, everybody's pleasant, friendly, helpful, and patient. Just like you want them to be. But there was one time that the tone of voice of the rep sounded a little testy but I just chalked that up to somebody having a bad day because that had never happened.
One time, my mother slipped in the bathroom and got herself wedged between the sink and the commode. She couldn't get out. They couldn't hear her from there because she's a little old lady and didn't have so much force in her voice. So they called me and asked if I wanted them to call an ambulance. I said yes and they sent the ambulance right off. But the minute I saw that number popped up, I was already half putting my shoes on. I ran over there and we didn't need an ambulance that time.
I tried to do a test once a month and I talked with people. She pushes the button and sometimes it's already off by the time I get over there because I've told them I'm going. But most of the time, they stay on her line until I get there. They should encourage people to do the testing. They have all this records and data and they can tell who's not testing monthly. Sometimes I go 90 days without testing but I've never gotten a piece of mail. If I haven't had any issue in 90 days, I'm not going to know the machine is out of order.
Carol, we’re so glad you’ve enjoyed having our service and that it could give you and your mother greater peace of mind. Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review.

I have Parkinson's, and my daughter was concerned that I would fall and get injured. We got the LifeStation but I have quit using it. The box was too big when I put it around my neck. The cord was fine but the box was always sticking out and if I didn't have a coat on, it looks funny. I didn't like it. Also, the LifeStation was too complicated for me. I couldn't just press the button and turn the thing on. It always said to face in the right direction, and I just thought it was a nuisance.

My daughter lives in Atlanta and I'm here in Fort Pierce, Florida. She said I needed to have this device. I said, "Well, I've got friends around." And she said, "No, mom. I want you to have this." Thank goodness I let her have this. She takes care of it and it works. Two weeks ago, I did not put my answer on the thing and my great-grandchild was here. He's two and a half. He saw something red and he pressed the button. Then my grandson said, "Oh she's okay", and the person said, "No, I need to speak to Rhoda, herself." So that was very nice of them to make sure.
Then, I fell last Sunday and couldn't get up. Most of the time I can get up myself, but I just could not. And my friends were all at church, so I had to call the ambulance to come, and they took me to the emergency room for a few hours. When the ambulance came, he said, "Okay, how is the ambulance going to get in her house?" I have a lockbox. I didn't even know if it worked, but the fire department must have known because they came right over and pressed the code, and came right into my house and didn't have to break in. I still have a nod on my head probably about the size of an egg. It was huge. LifeStation's response was very good, and they talked to me the whole time until the ambulance got here.
Rhoda, we’re so glad that we could help you during your emergency! It’s great that having the LifeStation service could provide greater peace of mind to both you and your daughter. Thank you so much for sharing your story with us.

I was testing my system, and a couple of times I inadvertently pressed the button on my wrist. LifeStation was very prompt and understanding. I felt like they were in my corner. Today I got the little battery signal and I called about it, and they took care of what I needed. They're going to send me a new button. With LifeStation I feel the sense of security that if anything happens I can push the button and I would get help almost right away. I'm very glad that I decided to get this life home security.

I was falling frequently and my son and my daughter-in-law saw an ad for LifeStation. I've had the device for about a good two and half years and I was told I could either wear a necklace or a wristband. I wear the bracelet every day. The device did great but after 14 months, something usually went on. For instance, there's a little piece that's on the white band where you're supposed to put in the measure and that goes into that little lip and it secures the watch so you don't have a lot of excesses. Right now, I have a lot of excesses. They could be stronger or made better. Otherwise, LifeStation is wonderful.
I have lupus and a lot of other rather serious problems with my health and I use a walker. If I fall and I can't get up and if my daughter-in-law is teaching and she's about 20 minutes away, she just calls the squad or I press the button and the rescue squad comes immediately. They were here a couple of times and they were more than pleasant. I tried to convince a couple of other women who live by themselves about LifeStation. There is a sense of security knowing that all you have to do is push the button and your rescue squad will come and help. And the one here in New London, I can't say enough good things about.
Judy, we’re so glad that you’re happy with the LifeStation service and that having our service helps you to feel more secure! You’re right, whenever you fall or have an emergency all you have to do is press your Help Button and we will send emergency services right away as well as get in contact with your daughter-in-law. My son surprised me when he brought the LifeStation device in here. I asked him what did he bring it here for and he said because I'd be here alone and when he's gone, I need some help in case I fall. I told him I won't fall, but then he told me a lot of parents say that but to remember that I am in my 80s, and now we are finding out a lot of people who are in their late 70s and 80s who do fall and he was just trying to prevent something in case I do. It's a good thing to have and I would recommend it to anyone that would be in a condition where they're all alone day and night and they're not able to manage themselves. After all, everybody needs a chance to live without having pains and all that.
Mary, you’re right! Even if you don’t think you’ll have a fall anytime soon, it’s great to have the LifeStation service as a precaution in case you need emergency help. Thank you for the review.

I telephoned LifeStation on Friday, 12 Jan 2018, to cancel service before the initial one year agreement expired. (The LifeStation monitor had been delivered to me on 19 Jan 2017.) I was told to unplug the monitor and return it to LifeStation. (I had already stopped using the monitor in September 2017.) I put the unplugged monitor onto the dining room table to wrap and mail it on the next weekday, but on Sunday, 14 January 2018, I was admitted to the hospital because of pneumonia, bronchitis, atrial fibrillation and, subsequently, esophageal hemorrhaging. I was discharged from the hospital on 28 January, too late to return the monitor on time; and I was too weak to get to the post office for a while anyway. Yes, the monitor was returned a little late because of extenuating circumstances, but it had been inactivated in time, and I had orally nullified a renewal agreement.
In trying to retain me as a customer, I was offered a one year renewal for $250, which I declined, but because of the hospitalization delay my credit card was billed for $400. I asked my daughter to appeal this billing to Customer Care (my voice was incapacitated because of the bronchitis), but her request was summarily denied. The only concession that the LifeStation agent would make is that I would not be billed for another year's service in 2019. Yet, the published LifeStation policy is "Cancel at Any Time... Yes. LifeStation also offers a 30-day money back guarantee for any system and payment plan. You will receive a pro-rated refund of pre-paid services after the initial 30 days." Exploiting my age and health disadvantage to renege on this guarantee, LifeStation is engaging in a contemptible predatory business policy.
And why I had stopped using the LifeStation monitor after September 2017 is another story. Because I had not regularly checked in with a test alert, I was alerted by a piercing alarm from the monitor. In rushing without my walker or cane to turn off the alarm, I tripped over a chair. I was not seriously injured, but my trust in the possible benefit of LifeStation was compromised.

I had another medical alert service a long time ago, but not in recent years. I had this other medical service as a result of surgery and I only kept it for one month. Then I felt that it was necessary to have some emergency way to get help in case I would need it. I've had the LifeStation medical alert service for a couple of years. Everything was okay in my experience with them and I did not have any difficulties that weren’t met. Any time that I have called in to the LifeStation team to check the equipment, I've always gotten good response from whoever picked up my call. Pushing the button always sounded the alarm, and then somebody picked up quickly and asked if there was an emergency, and I told them that I was just checking the equipment. But we've been having a lot of trouble with our landline phone, so we have thought of giving that up, in which case we would have to find an alert service that doesn’t require a landline phone.
Rosalie, thank you so much for taking the time to write a review! We’re so glad you’ve been a happy LifeStation customer for several years! It’s just for my house. I wear it every day but I have not pushed it to see if it’s gonna work or not. I’ve got it on but I’m scared of it. I didn’t know whether I had to go to the wall and answer or if it had picked up the sound from where I was.
I was falling and couldn’t get up. My neighbor came over and put the device on and it was kind of hanging here. It’s not done very well. There’s a bunch of wires on my wall. They even sent me a lockbox that I’ve never even opened. I ought to return it. I don’t even know if I’m getting charged for it or no. I had to put it outside with a key in it in case somebody would come. I had new keys put up but I’ve not even done it. I’m supposed to test the device it at least once a month. I hesitate to do it when nobody’s here and then I’d get busy when somebody is here and I forget. But I accidentally hit it when I picked up a grandbaby a long time ago and she leaned into it and set it off. But I haven't tested it for months.

When I had a stroke, my kids wanted to put in a medical alert for it. My LifeStation came about two weeks after I got home. But the little old thing I'm hanging around my neck ain’t nothing. It’s good for here in the house, but I don’t like it because it's no help wearing it around the neck or on the arm if I go out of the house or drive somewhere. And even if I go outside in the yard and try to wash the car, it doesn't help if I mash the button. If I go out and look in the mailbox on the front porch and fall down there then it doesn’t help. There are other life alert systems that have a button that one mash and they could talk right through that. LifeStation is good in the house, but I’m not confined to the house and I like to sit outside a lot of times. So, if I had a friend who was going to get a medical alert, I would tell them to look into it and try to get one they could use when they're going out and experiencing things they like that are going to stay all their life.
