I had a stroke and then I got a LifeStation. I put my trust in God and even though he sees me, I have a medical alert device and my experience has been okay.

My mom was falling and that made us get her a medical alert device. We got LifeStation for the price. The people were fine, kind, and very responsive when they got an alert even though it was a false alarm, but the device itself didn’t work. It would go off when she didn’t fall, and then not respond when she'd fall. We called them about it then they sent us several new buttons for my mom to wear and none of it worked. We’re actually having problems with the one she’s got now too because, apparently, it has to bang into something in order to call them. Also, people tuck the device into her shirt and she’s not aware enough to remember to take it out. We might have to switch to a different company.

My mother had gone down some stairs at somebody else's house and she broke her leg and shattered the bones in her ankle. She had surgery and had a rod put in so she is limited to how she could walk now. There was also a time when she was getting water and she fell down. She was down for a little bit before she could get back up. We decided that we should get a medical alert device. We had hooked up Medical Alert first up but it was just the at home one. We decided to switch over to LifeStation. It gives me peace of mind knowing that she has it. I worry about my mom and making sure that she has the device on her. There was a time that she fell but she didn't have her device on her, and somebody else showed up.

Something happened to my cousin. She fell and almost died. She lives alone and since I'm alone too, I thought that if I have this LifeStation thing, that might help me better. But the first device they gave me was not working for the whole month. It seemed to work but if something happened or if I called, nobody answered me. After that, they gave me a second device and this one is good. This one is working. It is a simple one though, only for the house, the backyard and the parking. LifeStation is the one with the GPS but this device doesn't have that. I like the one with a GPS though, because I remember when I was an hour away from my house, I fell and hit the device on the car and they called me anyway. But it's good for now. Whenever I call them for something, they try their best to help me. If I sleep with it and I turn over and hit the button, it rings and calls them. But I set it back right away because it is not an emergency.

I took over a patient's care from her son. She had fallen once and luckily, she had fallen, hit her face and called me. So I took her into the Emergency Room. She was fine but she was 93 and living alone in an apartment where she would have to call 911. Because I live about 10 miles away from her, I felt that she needed a device to be safe. I did some research and I thought that LifeStation was reasonable and that it covered everything that I felt that she needed. I certainly felt better with her having the device. Every time she pushed it, we got a response and I like the response that we got so quickly. We actually had the police call her one time because she didn’t realize she had set it off and she didn’t answer her phone. It was very reassuring for me that somebody would get to her.
But at the same time, I had a little frustration with the fact that she wouldn’t wear it all the time and she would forget to put it on. She has the neck one and she would wear it at home. But it was a little too sensitive. She put it down a couple of times and it went off saying that she’s fallen just by putting it down. So she felt uncomfortable that in wearing it, she was gonna set it off. No matter how much I told her that it was okay and it was good that they would answer, she felt like she was bothering them. Nonetheless, it’s a good program. I’ve actually fallen a couple of times and my husband’s out of town a lot so I thought that maybe I should get one for myself too. I've recommended LifeStation as well. My interactions with the people there were very good too. They were very helpful.

My daughter was concerned of me falling. I wear my LifeStation and I know that I can hopefully get help when I need it. But the device is heavy around my neck and I would prefer something lighter. Also, sometimes I have a hard time getting the device to recharge. Sometimes I push down on it. I already had that one replaced because I couldn't get it to charge. My device also went off and I had a couple of questions. Those at LifeStation were very helpful.

My mom was ill for a year, and I’m getting ready to transition out of the house. She’s better now but just in case there is an emergency, I got her the LifeStation unit, which I pay for each month. My mom doesn’t want to wear it because it’s something extra on the body and she says she might accidentally activate it. So, it is a challenge making her wear it. We also had an incident where the unit was not plugged into the wall. So, we had to do something with customer service and they were very helpful.

I had fallen at WalMart and found out I had no one. I couldn't turn around. I wanted to make sure that if the same thing happens to me at the park, I could get up. Someone could figure out where I was at. My LifeStation worked pretty good when I can keep it charged. I have set something on it to charge it. But I don't know what's wrong with the thing that it lays on. It wouldn't charge if I don't put something on top of it to hold it down. I'm on my third one and they all do it. Other than that, I feel fine with my LifeStation. My son moved in with me, so I feel a little better that he's there. But if I go somewhere alone, I still wanna take my device with me.

I just have it at home, in case I need assistance at night. My only problem with it is that whenever I push the button just to test it, they call one of my emergency contacts and then my emergency contact would think that there’s something wrong, not knowing what’s going on. But despite that, I would recommend it.

I fell one time, and my girlfriend said I might fall again so I should get LifeStation. I'm 71 now and I also have a heart problem, mitral valve prolapse, and so I got the device just for my apartment upstairs, because downstairs if something happens they're gonna call 911. I live in a senior citizen place, a real nice one where we got security around the clock, although I have fallen twice since I've been here.
I wear my button around my neck and I feel better about my safety having it. It's also comfortable because it's a necklace and it's long. Sometimes, I have it sit next to me and my granddaughter would ask where it is and once I put it around my neck she would feel better about it. I test the button every now and then, and I feel good about the team’s response. They talk to me right away and ask if I’m alright. I would then say I'm okay and that I'm just testing it. They would wish me a good day and then they would hang up. I like it. And so, I've already recommended LifeStation to people here and have told them that if they fall, they just need to press the button around their neck or on their bracelet, and the team would be here.

I've had LifeStation for around a year and it has been nothing but good. I'm alone and my kids said that I'd better get something in case I fall. Then one time I pushed the button and it rang. And instead of them calling me to check if I was okay, they put the word out to all my kids. So I had six kids in a panic which was good. I never had an emergency, and I don’t ever plan to have one but it’s there. If I’m able and I can push it, it’ll be fine but if I’m knocked out, I can’t use it. But overall, I am satisfied with it.

I had a stroke and it left me with a brain disorder and balance disorder. So, my brain doctor advised me to get a medical alert device because of my balance. I fell twice already and they had to come here to our house. I had another system with the Veteran’s, but the contract went out so I got LifeStation. I asked the lady I talked to about the fall balance and the device being waterproof, and I liked that.
I wear my device everywhere I go. I wouldn’t take my device off of me and I got it by my bed at nighttime. I used it once when I fell and someone stayed with me on the phone until the paramedics arrived, which I liked. When they knocked on my door, he stayed until they came into my room then he hung up. He also told me on GPS where they were at, and then on my driveway, and he knew exactly where they were at, and I liked that. LifeStation had good service when it has gone off a couple of times. It was just a couple of seconds and their operator’s on the phone talking to you, seeing if you’re okay. I’ll recommend LifeStation to anyone that has a balance disorder. It can help and they have good and prompt service.

I feel safe having it at home and in case I'm left alone, I would have first responders in the front door and I would be cared for by the medical staff. When I first got it, I was bumping the thing every time I was moving and it was going off. But their reps were really good about it and they told me not to feel so bad. Then, one time, my mother passed out and her blood pressure went down. I had to use it to call the ambulance to take her to the hospital. Also, they told me if I'm out on the road with anybody and something happened, I can just push it and they would go where I am and that's really great. We feel really safe with it.

I've had a couple of falls and the kids said I needed a LifeStation. I had a little trouble getting used to it because it comes exactly on my body where both of my tables are. I hit it on both of my tables and I had to apologize for that. I really felt bad about it. However, the last time I talked to somebody, I was left hanging and I didn’t know if I was through or not. I don’t know how to tell if the LifeStation is working. Still, I wear it all the time and right now, there’s a blue light flashing. This is a little phone so evidently, the blue means a phone receiver.
Also, I don’t like that the LifeStation is heavy. If I had my druthers, I would turn it back in and try another medical alert device but I don’t know if I can find another one that’s lightweight and has the part where I can go to the mailbox and the device still works. I hope that’s what I have because I am in the process of letting my cell phone go. I’m not really 100% satisfied with the LifeStation, but I can’t just do without it.
Hello Blance,
If you believe that the Device is too long and hits your table, we do offer lanyards that are adjustable for this exact situation. You could also consider getting a bracelet as well if you believe the necklace is no longer working for you.
Sadly though there is not much that we can do about the weight of the device. Based on what you said you are using the Mobile GPS Device, which while effective, has been called too heavy for by some of our users. The technology that is needed to make this device work is not able to be made any lighter at the moment, so we are limited by technology in terms of making the device any lighter.
Please give our customer service team a call and see if they can help you get a different lanyard so we can resolve the situation that you are in.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review, and thank you for choosing LifeStation.

I haven't had that problem with LifeStation. They had something that the others didn't have. They've been very accommodating and very nice. Whenever I test my LifeStation device, they were right there. I also asked them how come it takes so long from the time I pressed the button. I have to go through a couple of connections, but it hasn't been unreasonable.
When I first got it, I mentioned to the rep some of the things that I had problems with the others and we straightened it out before I ever had any problem with this. For instance, the other place told me to clean the back side of my device before I put it on the charger so I mentioned that to her and she said that was a good idea. When I tested the device my son said that he got a text notice at the same time that I made the test. LifeStation also bills automatically and they have always answered me right away.

I'm 78 years old and I have diabetes, which has affected parts of my body. I also have a problem falling down and driving. I had a stroke a few months ago and my daughter bought LifeStation for me. I wear the device around my neck and it's fine for me to wear it. I even wear it in the shower. I hit it accidentally one time and started the emergency, and it announced that there was an emergency call in progress which took about a minute. Then when the recording stopped, it took a few seconds for them to answer.
The first time I did that, my brother-in-law and my sister were visiting from Texas and I hit it about 7 o'clock in the morning. They had just driven in from a 24-hour drive and they got in about midnight and went to bed. At 7 o'clock in the morning, this thing starts yelling, "Emergency call in progress." They woke up and got out of bed like crazy. Now, LifeStation announces that there's a call in progress. Their reps are very nice. They call me by my first name even though they have no idea who I am. I had a stroke about five years ago and I got the LifeStation device for peace of mind. I'm very active and I have a large acreage. I did not want to be in my property and not be able to get to my cell phone where I could easily get through a button. I got rid of it before and went to another kind that was much more high-tech. I could program it from my phone and set it on different levels of fall detection. I could also program a friend's phone number then call a friend and talk to him through the device. It was incredible. But I tested it where a person most commonly would fall, which is in the shower, and their device failed to do a good signal even though it utilized AT&T. LifeStation's device connected every time so I give this company kudos on that and I went back to this kind.
The model we have right now is very good for seniors. But I'm not a senior yet and for me, the button is too large. I wear it around my neck and I end up hitting it accidentally. So the simple solution for me was to turn it around backwards. The response is instantaneous though. I was actually very impressed. It caught me by surprise once because I didn't know I had set if off. I heard a voice and I didn't know where it was coming from. Then I realized I had it on. The representatives were also very friendly and overly helpful. They identified themselves and asked if there was anything wrong and if they could help me. They were very good actually.
The reception is great, and I'm sure the antenna and the battery are awesome. But the device is very low tech. This compared to the other devices is like comparing a walkie-talkie to a cell phone. It would be a great thing for me to be in more control of my device as far as more capabilities and functionalities. I'm not even 60 and I've worked with computers for 40 years. In a few years more people who are reaching 65 are gonna be able to use the internet like crazy. The device could really use some improvement.

The device has made a difference, but the problem is it's so sensitive that even if she just barely touches it, the alarm goes off. Apparently, it’s the same kind of system as her phone and it doesn't work well if there's a thin roof attached right above the window so we had to move the LifeStation to the back of the house.

Having my LifeStation device makes me feel safe and secure that if something happens, someone would be here to help me. And since I live alone, I need that security. I accidentally hit the button once and the guys over at LifeStation were on the phone right then. And it's wonderful how fast they responded to me. The guy asked me a few things and I told him I hit the button by mistake. It's so sensitive too so I have to really watch how I do stuff. And I don't take it off when I'm here alone. When my son or my granddaughter spends the night here, I’ll take it off because they can hit the button. I probably shouldn't take it off, but I need a break from it every now and then.

I’ve fallen and I couldn’t get up so I bought a LifeStation several months ago. I wear it on my wrist and it’s comforting to have it around. However, I was in the hospital for four months and I finally got home on June 11th. I called them because I haven’t been able to use it. And after speaking and escalating the issue, they gave me one month credit because I haven’t registered. I did not like that. I didn’t use it is different from I didn’t want to use it, so I wasn’t happy for that part. Other than that, I knocked the device over last night and their representative called me and my son, and they all did a good job.

I’m 76 years old and I just had a hip replacement done in January. I was up in Connecticut for three and a half months; my daughter lives there and she works at a rehab place so that’s where I went after I had my surgery done. Then I came to her place and stayed for a couple of months, and they wanted me to get the LifeStation because I’m by myself. When I got it, I had to call in the same day as I didn’t know how to do it and my daughter didn’t know as well. So we called LifeStation and they just said, “As soon as you charge it up, then it’s ready to go.”
Since then, I've been doing testing on it and I get a response right away. They would say, “Charolete, are you okay?” and then I'd tell them I’m just checking in. Usually, the LifeStation works terrific and does its job, but right now, it’s not. Yesterday I put it on charge because the little red button started blinking. I’ve had it all night long and this morning I had it on but it’s not working. I still have it going on charge and the button is still red. It usually has a little blue dot and it blinks, and it hasn't been doing that.

My husband died and I was alone at 76 with a few things health-wise, it was something that my children were so concerned about. Last year, I was out in New York and had a very bad fall coming out of the theater. I ended up in the hospital for a week and then rehab. My children were upset. So, having an alert system was a pre-requisite for me coming home. They said, "Mom, you have to have the alert system. You gotta have this on your neck." The first day we set my LifeStation up, my daughter must have hit the button to see if it was working and their reps came on immediately. My daughter said, "No, nothing's wrong. We're setting it up."
I feel more secure that I know I have my LifeStation on and that if anything happens I can just push a button. I'm happy I have something that puts my children at ease. LifeStation makes the people who care about you feel more secure that you're okay, that you're not gonna be laying somewhere and not being able to get to a phone or something. I had an emergency a month or so before I decided that I needed the LifeStation device. I fell one night and I couldn't get up but I wasn't hurt. It was around past the night trying to get up. So finally, I decided to sleep in front of the couch, but I couldn't get on it. So the next day, when my neighbors came over, they called an ambulance. They said that I had a TIA and it was not a good time for me. But I'm having good experiences with the LifeStation and I'm not falling much anymore. I've accidentally pressed the button and they've responded to me many times when I was awake. They were quick to respond and anytime they call me back it was right away after they thought something was happening.
I got tired of having mistakes all the time and something accidentally happens. One morning, at about 4:00 o'clock, I got up and went to the bathroom and I sort of fell on the toilet. I got a call from a lady saying that there could be an incident of falling. But I told her that there was no accident and that I was in bed now. I wondered why I got a call from LifeStation and then I realized later that I sat down kinda hard and jarred my pendant.
But I'm concerned about one thing. I believe the shower makes the cord stretch and I can't keep it shorten off. I thought it would shrink but I'm wearing that weight thing in on it all the time and the cord keeps getting longer. But other than that, I'm trying to feel more confident having the LifeStation because once a person has fallen as much as I have in the past, they just don't have confidence. So I walk around touching furniture. And when I wanna hurry to get from one room to another, I use my walker and kinda run.

My mom's had a stroke and she can’t verbally talk. She’s got really bad brain damage from her injury. But I would think that she would be able to mash the button and the it does let me see it work with me letting her have some independence. We leave her alone for about three hours in the afternoon, which is really good for her mental state because she feels independent. We’ve had the LifeStation gadget for about two months, and so far it’s worked as well as to be expected. When we tested it, the response came in 30 seconds to a minute from the time the button was mashed to when her phone rang, and that is good. I like the little text message that I get whenever the thing goes off as well. There’s a record of all of the times we’ve used it and they can trace the text then get all the time periods.
She’s accidentally mashed the button three times and she didn't even know it one time. She had it around her neck when she was asleep and mashed the button. It was 3:00 o’clock in the morning and the alarm went off and woke us up. I went and checked on her and the LifeStation people were very polite. The little gadget came on a wristband. But they said that it can be used for a necklace or a wristband so I rigged it up to where it would work on a necklace. But as for the mounting apparatus from the button itself with hooking it up on a string to put around her neck, the design could be a little bit better. It works but I think that’s why we’re getting false alarms. If it had some kind of a loop on it, like a pendant necklace with a chained up loop or top loop, something along those lines would make it a lot easier to wear without mashing it. Nonetheless, they’ve done real good so far.

The kids thought I needed a medical alert device because I live by myself and I have a dog that I take out walking a couple of times a day. They didn’t want me out walking around. I’m living in a new place and they were afraid that I might get out somewhere and fall where no one knew me, so my oldest son ordered the LifeStation for me.
One day, I had just bent over to tie my shoe and a rep said he detected a fall. I was told to punch the button to disengage the device. I am wearing it faithfully because my kids told me to. I’m comfortable with it, although it’s irritating to have to wear it. It’s a vanity-type thing and it is one that has the GPS, so I have to wear it around my neck. The device needs to be recharged every evening. So, every night before I go to bed, I’d take it off and put it on the charger. So, if I should get up at night, which people my age do at least once or twice every night, those are the times that I'm most likely to fall. I’m 71 years old and I felt like I could benefit out of LifeStation because I go to cancer treatment centers. Sometimes the chemo medicine that I take could make me a little light-headed and I wouldn’t wanna be out there on the streets by myself feeling that way. It’s not something that happens all the time but it has happened. I wouldn’t wanna fall and be out there and nobody knows me and I’m by myself and strange things have happened. People have gotten things taken away from them when they have fallen. I’ve heard some sad instance when a person has fallen and they may be knocked out and they get robbed.
There was one instance when I went to Walmart and I got dizzy and I had to just stand there for a while to get my composure. My eyes and things kinda jittered a bit and then it went away. I didn’t have the device when that happened to me and that’s what encouraged me to get one because I happen to go to Walmart all by myself. I called in and LifeStation mailed the device to me and they told me how to set it up over the telephone. I set it up perfectly. Their reps answered one question for me at one time because they told me to take a damp cloth and wipe off the little unit because it could get dust on it and I’ve done that. I wear the device when I leave to go to the stores shopping and when I’m by myself. I put it on my neck just to be sure it doesn’t just sit around.
However, I wouldn’t wanna bump the device because I bumped it once before when I dropped it on the floor and a guy called me right back. He asked me if I was okay and I can hear him loud and clear. I told him that I had dropped it on the carpet and it kinda set off an alarm for me. When I go someplace in my car and I happen to be in there by myself, I also have it on my neck. I used to be afraid sometimes because of the seatbelt so I take it and put it over the seatbelt because it looks like my seatbelt’s gonna press up against it but it doesn’t and there’s no problem. Sometimes I get eerie because when I go to the grocery store, I may bend over and it may hit up against something in the store then here comes this voice that asks me if I'm okay.
But other than that, the LifeStation is a wonderful thing to have and I’m glad I’d done it. I don’t wanna trip and fall here in my apartment and it’s always with me. It is easy to push the button and I feel more secure with the device on me because their reps are right on it. They answered my questions, are very intuitive, and has been very quick to respond. Also, I like the GPS in the device that the rep explained to me and LifeStation would find where I was at.

Also, I got a cousin that I’m trying to talk into getting one because she has a defibrillator in her chest. She’s kind of stubborn so I’m still working on it but I told her I wear mine and she has seen it on me so she’s thinking about it and she does need one. I have been falling lately and my doctor was concerned with my health so I got a LifeStation because I thought they were serious about it and the device is okay. While I made some mistakes by pressing it somehow in my body and get a call from them, the rest is okay. I wear it around my neck when I go out. The other times, I put them in the station to recharge and sometimes I forget or something. Overall, I had a good experience with LifeStation and I'm happy with it.

I live alone and I've had some health problems so I got LifeStation. Their team was very informative and answered my questions. But I exchanged my original necklace with one that would detect falls. I never knew sometimes what would set it off. It would go through that routine of calling and somebody answering, which was good and that was what it was supposed to do, but it was too sensitive and there was no reason for it to go off a lot of times. Even in bed, sometimes it would go off. They notified my son every time it went off and then one night, it went off at 12:30 AM so that was the end of that.
The response time was excellent but it was annoying. I sent it back and they said they would refund the extra cost or take it off my bill and get back to the original one, which I have now. It was frustrating in the beginning but it was all resolved. Also, I wish it was a better-looking necklace that one could wear outdoors. Being a woman, it was decent but it was not a very pretty item. Still, I would recommend them to a friend.

And it was 40 minutes before my mother discovered that he was outside in that weather and had to call the fire department to help him get up and get back in the house. She's 85 and at the time had a broken ankle. I then obtained LifeStation for them and it seems to be working okay for them. I feel safer knowing that they have a medical alert device and I think they do, too. My father wears it in the shower and he feels that there's a strong need for it and has kept it with him since then. My parents both have the necklace type with the GPS and cellular kind of thing in it. They have tested it. And on one occasion, my mother inadvertently had pushed the button on her device and she got a response right away. So, we're confident that it works. So far so good.

My son wanted me to get LifeStation medical alert device. He lives in California, so we're not together, and I had a fall. Also, I need it if I go to certain places because I live on the hill, like if I’m going downtown. But it's too big for me and I'm not so happy because it's hanging around my neck and dangling on my chest like a microphone. I've seen other people wearing an alert device and it was a nice support for them and they could wear it inside their clothes, and I told them they have a nice necklace. But mine is so bulky and that's the only thing that disturbs me.
What's strange, though, is that I went to bed one time and all of a sudden, a voice came through the device and I wasn't aware of having done anything, but I might have pushed the help button by accident. Although it wasn't my idea to get my LifeStation device, I have to force myself to use it because doing so is safer and better. Since I've had my LifeStation device, I have experienced some changes where I've had it with me, like if I cross the hill and go to the post station here, and if I go around outside. It’s always good to have because it’s rocky outside and I don’t want to fall there.

I was washing windows and I got up on the toilet seat and tried to reach the window and I fell. I hit the back of my head and after we got through all that, my son felt I needed to get a life alert. I have my LifeStation device on my wrist. It's big and I don’t really like it because it moves around my wrist. I called LifeStation one day and asked them if they had a smaller band but the rep said they don’t have anything but the white wristband. And I also don’t like the necklace that they sent with it. It's cheap looking. So, I didn’t want to be wearing that around my neck all the time. And at $90, the price is a little high, too. It was put on my credit card and I pay quarterly for it.
An older person like me should have LifeStation. I leave my device on. I'll never know when I'm gonna fall. I live on a farm and this winter, I didn’t have any idea I had the flu and there was nobody here but me. I was bewildered that day and couldn't get anything right. And that night, one of my kids came here and they found me in the bed and they couldn't get me out of it. So they had to call the ambulance to get me lifted then to a hospital. And they said I had the flu. And that was an experience where I came to find out that the telephone wasn’t on the base and that's why it didn’t ring all day.

After my husband died, my son-in-law said I can't be up here alone without anybody looking out for me because they were about 100 miles away from me. So he researched and ordered the LifeStation. And one day, the family was all together and they put it all together here on the side table. It's small and out of the way. But the blinking red light is annoying to me because when things don’t go the way they're supposed to go, it gives me itches. When I told LifeStation that when I came home from shopping yesterday, my LifeStation button was flashing red. I've never seen that before. So they told me that there was a silent alarm to indicate there's something wrong and then a little bit more of an explanation sent that it's not necessarily with me physically but through the system. And when I asked what I could do, they advised me to call Verizon.
LifeStation seems to be fine to me. I just don’t like the bracelet. I wear it to bed and they told me it's okay to wear it in the shower. And every couple of days, I take it off when I shower. And then the next time I shower, I leave it on. With the weather getting as hot as it is, I find that this gets in the way of my watch. My bones around my wrist are kinda small so I've already trimmed off parts of the elastic band. I've been putting rubber bands around it to hold the flap. There's no fix. It's an elastic band and it's got a crest. And you pull it as tight as you need it or as loose as you want it. And so far, the crest has held and it's been okay.
The team at LifeStation has always been very friendly. But they don’t usually give me a name which means nothing to me because it would go off my head however, that would be important. Since my husband is gone, I'm the only one who can keep track of who I talk to and how the conversation ended or what information I got or gave. And I need to have a name, somebody to grab on to that I'm not just an old lady talking to my hat. I realized it's not a little office with only about half a dozen people but there are a few people interrelated in the system.
One thing that bothered me was when I signed in and gave the names and numbers of who to call first, second, and third, I told the person I was talking to that I wanted to take over the payment. This was two months ago. And I told the person my son-in-law did the research and he did the beginning, and I don’t need to have him paying for it. As long as I can take care of it myself, I will do that. She said, "No problem." I gave her a bank number and a routing number for my checking account. And within this week, I got a call from them saying that I was two months in arrears. And they were trying to get in touch with my son-in-law. I asked them why they wanted to get in touch with him, and they said he's the one that's paying. I told them I'm the one that's supposed to be paying and that I gave them the banking business.
So then, they got behind that and they went deeper into their files, and it seems that my bank had bounced it back to them saying that they would not honor the payment. Now, I contacted my bank. And at the level of the bank itself, the rep could not find any knowledge or notation that it had come through and was not recognized and then bounced back. So, the girl at LifeStation said that perhaps the bank didn’t recognize the name as a legitimate business and that's why they bounced back two months' worth of payments. She was tracing it back to find out what happened and why and I haven't heard from that since. But I told her not to contact my son-in-law and I'll pay them with my credit card and for them to take it out quarterly. Other than that, I'm not dissatisfied at all. I've spoken to my friends and told them about it.

I just got the LifeStation for my mother on our doctor's recommendation. He had used it for his parents and had good experience. I called LifeStation and the customer service person answered all my questions and was very helpful. We activated it, did a test and everything was answered in a prompt manner. My mom's a stifler and she lives by herself but she just lives across the street from me. One day, I got a text and said that the LifeStation had been activated. So I took off. It turned out that she activated it by mistake and had told the LifeStation team about it. The lady who answered then told her that it was okay. They answered promptly and notified me promptly.
My mom's 88 and sometimes we’re having little problems with dementia. But she’s still in very good health physically now. Since having her LifeStation she’s hanging out of the house more. She feels more free about walking around out in the yard and looking at her flowers. Before she was just staying in the house a lot. And she does need to get out and walk, and get a little bit of exercise and fresh air. At first she wasn't sure if she'll wear it or not but she wears it a lot now and she’s done well with it. The only time I cannot get her to wear it, where she needs it the most is in the shower. And I’ve told her it’s fine. But she does lay it on the counter right beside the shower when she gets out. With all that, I would definitely recommend LifeStation.

And if I'm in a shower or somewhere I know that I might get sick and they wouldn't hear me, all I have to do is push that button.
I called LifeStation to recheck to make sure my device is working good. Sometimes I get a little concerned because it takes them a few minutes to come on. I understand that but what if something happens to me while I'm waiting on them to come on? Otherwise, I'm well satisfied with it. At least I know somebody would be here for me. I've shared this with my friends and my family with health condition. They said they couldn't afford the payment but I told them it's worth it. It could save their life. I’m single and I live alone, so if something went wrong, nobody would know the difference. I wear LifeStation like a wristwatch and I like that if I were to push the button, somebody came over the intercom machine to ask me what the problem is and I couldn’t hear them, they'll automatically assume it’s a pretty bad injury and they’ll call right away. I also like that the radio can hear me no matter where I am in my apartment. If I push the button and don’t say anything, they'll automatically send paramedics out. If I fall and couldn’t get up, I would say to the live voice on the radio that I couldn't get up. Also, the button design is pretty much flush with the device that holds it. That way, I'd have to really be not paying attention in order to press the button inadvertently. So, I simply wear the button 24/7 and once in a while, I’ll push it just to make sure it’s working, and we do a test on it once a month to make sure it’s working okay.
Another thing I really like about it is there's huge shackle lock around the doorknob where the keys to the apartment are put and the paramedics will be given the combination to my lock to provide them entry instead of breaking the door. The door to my apartment is a very heavy metal door and if I didn’t have the device, I could call 911 and the only way for them to get in would be to use a heavy-duty sledgehammer. All kinds of things could happen if you don’t have LifeStation. But I find it very relaxing to know that we have it and they are right on the ball when something does happen. They call right away. I am really happy about that. Also, they call our "to notify" people right away. I've had my daughter call me and say, "What's wrong? What happened?" And I’d say, "Nothing, it was an accident". She’ll say, "Oh, mom, you gotta quit doing that." And our granddaughter that calls, "Grandma, are you okay?" "Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was an accident."

So, I thought, "Well, now that I'm okay, I'll just tell her that it was a test."
Thereafter, it said, "Emergency, emergency," five or six times before they ever got to call whoever. But the LifeStation got the call. They got it at 12 minutes after. And one minute later, they immediately called to see if everything was okay. But there was a period between when they first started saying "emergency" and when somebody answered. It didn't go into the LifeStation. It went somewhere else first and I don't know where it went or why it didn't go straight to them because this is not the first time I had used the pendant. Before it's been immediate and this time it was not immediate at all. If my daughter had not been here, I would have been in bad shape. I live alone and that's why I have this pendant. I have asthma, I cough and sometimes I don’t think I'm gonna get my breath and that frightens me. But I worry less and feel safer now with the LifeStation. When I accidentally pressed the button they responded immediately and that made me happy. I had the device on my arm and I took it off and put it somewhere, and then I couldn't find it for three days. When I found it, my daughter fixed it so that it would go around my neck. I'm a little leery that I might sit on it in the nighttime and it would go off. But I'm getting more comfortable with it every day.
My daughter fixed it so that the bill automatically will come out of my account and I like that. I'm very happy that I have it. I have a burglar alarm on the door and I have the LifeStation in here to protect me if I need it with my health. I go to the Pascal Center and I recommend it to different people that live there. I'm gonna start with the seniors and I'd tell them about this device. I know it will be helpful to them especially if they live by themselves.
