Awful service from Network Solutions. They rebranded themselves because they have terrible reviews. They constantly overcharge and make billing mistakes. They bombard you with emails and have no option to only receive valid emails, they literally lost one of the websites we had hosting with them and it took days for them to bring the old backup file back up. Their backup 3rd party didn't work, they sell advertising through a third part and do not provide any support nor are they knowledgeable about any portion of the service, they never call you back after they say they will get back with you, any 301 redirects set up go missing without any notification, the list goes on and on.... Don't get me started on the service for any technical help. We've had multiple accounts and have migrated all of them out of their servers. Will never work with them ever again!

Network Solutions should be banned from the U.S. My husband now deceased, opened the account. I had an email account and due to a 'technical difficutly' it was disconnected. I was unable to login to fix the problems after their technical issue was resolved because a login verification email was sent to my husband's Email which should have been deleted a long time ago. I requested that when I renewed the service. Not deleting it was an excuse to charge twice.

To make a long story short numerous calls, submitting requested documents, etc. I never got access to my Email again.. I paid almost $500 last year to have access until 2029. Of course they charged me twice and it took an act of congress to get the fraudulent charge back. Customer service is another story. They send you from one department to another. You get the runaround, spend hours on the phone, and get no results. Customer service is cosmetic and I feel sorry for the people who have to work for that company. Maybe not. They might be part of this fraud. They give you a personal contact Email that never gets a response.

Buyer beware! I found all the other complaints too late. All true. This is the absolute worst company I have ever done business with. I cancelled the account and requested a refund but will not hold my breath to actually see that happen. Supposedly HQ's of Nework Solutions is in Herndon, VA. I suspect it's either in Nigeria or India.

I have been a Network Solutions email user for decades. On June 10, my email account was hacked when NS gave access to my account to an email address in Russia. I have spent hours on the phone with underlings who don't have a clue as to what is being done to protect my information, and I have no way to communicate with anyone who can advise me as to how to proceed. Last year I paid $160 to have access to "My Time Support" which I was told would bypass the difficulty of dealing with people who did not have a clue. But when I called them with this problem I was told that they don't handle such issues and that my ONLY option was to contact customer support. This is worse than negligence, it is simply fraud to collect annual fees and a spect add on for enhanced support and not even be willing to communicate with the customer whose account has been hacked because of the carelessness of Network Solutions.

They made us jump through hoops and finally confirmed over the phone that all is done except one more verification.... So, we did and only to be told, their processing dept. does not have it; while we have the record proving otherwise, they still asked us to do "ONE MORE" verification. Customer service is garbage. We put in the information needed to recover our DNS access as it was somehow lost. These guys then tell us we need to download an APP and provide this information through the their Nametag App. This is unacceptable and should not be a requirement and This app is unapproved by our IT and CMMC compliance team. So they tell us a work around. It's now been over 140hrs since we did the work around and nothing but silence from them. Furthermore we got an e-mail telling us the e-mails we respond to are not monitored, meaning they don't even check them so apparently the work around is not going to work. So we resubmitted everything again through the website only to get an e-mail telling us it's now a duplicate and will be resolved on the original ticket which we can't resolve because we won't use their Nametag App. At this point might be better to just consult the company attorney and go at them this way.

Too many issues to go into. They tell you you can get a free month of a particular service when you go to buy it inside your account. Then they don't give it to you, when you contact support, they say you have to buy it from the homepage, not inside your account. But it was inside my account that I saw the offer for a month free. In fact, I clicked the little down arrow to read the disclosures, and it said I get the first month free, afterwards, I would be charged.

Well, I didn't get that first month free on either of my products. I contacted support who told me I was supposed to buy it on the homepage, not from within my dashboard? Well, that makes zero sense because it was inside my dashboard that I was presented the offer and that's where I can buy it and associate it with my account.

Support wouldn't acknowledge (ever after providing the screenshot), that I should get a month free, instead, they tell me they will help me renew my service for a year because it's when you renew it for a year that the service is free. No, that's not what your website says. That's not what my offer said that I was presented in the pop-up when I went to buy. Trying to get a refund, we'll see if that happens. They did this to two different products I bought.

This company’s support and systems are extremely outdated and unprofessional—almost comically so. As a seasoned web developer, I have never encountered such poor customer service. Here’s my experience: A client forwarded me a message from a Network Solutions sales representative. The email immediately raised red flags—it was riddled with misspellings, poor grammar, and a vague claim that they "couldn't figure out why our site was down." Isn't that the responsibility of tech support?

To verify the legitimacy of the message, I contacted Network Solutions' support team. The representative confidently assured me, "No, it's a scam!" Alarmed, I immediately reached out to my client to warn him, only to learn he had already provided sensitive information, including his credit card details. I was deeply concerned about potential fraud.

THEN! Network Solutions called me back with an unsettling update: "Sorry, we made a mistake! That person actually does work for us, but our IT and Sales teams are not properly aligned." When I requested a written explanation to clarify the misunderstanding for my client and alleviate his cybersecurity concerns, the response I received was so poorly written that it resembled spam itself. This level of incompetence is unacceptable. I will never work with this company again and will actively warn others to avoid experiencing the same treatment.

Please note that we have been NS clients for almost 20 years! Last November their email servers had many problems and services could not be restored for weeks. Any attempt to resolve the problems with their customer services was useless. Total incompetence. Beginning December, after almost four weeks with the entire company without email service, we decided to transfer our domain to another provider. Getting an Auth Code has been a complete nightmare too, but we finally got it on Dec. 10, and on Dec. 20, (10 more days with no email services) the transfer was finally completed and the services restored. In other words, services were paid until December 31 even if NS was not able to provide services for almost 2 months.

What a surprise on January 10, 25, when we were charged for email subscription for the month of January in spite all services being interrupted since December 10, 24. When I contacted NS for a refund, they told me that they charged the services because the Autopay was still active. I told them that the Autopay was active because the system does not allow a customer to disable it when only one card is on file and therefore only NS can do it. I also added that it should have been their duty to disable Autopay immediately after the services were interrupted and the domain transferred. Despite all our efforts, they answered that because of their internal policy they could not authorize the refund. Their internal policy is therefore intentionally designed to steal whatever they can from clients which have no way to disable Autopay. What a fraud!

I have reported this fraud to my bank and dispute the charge, and I am waiting for a reply. In the meantime, I want to make clear that I will not recommend NS even to my worst enemy. Their service is not dependable, their customer service is incompetent, and they are clearly dishonest. I would have expected better treatment after being their customer for almost twenty years. When I visited ConsumerAffairs website to write a review I noticed that out of 345 reviews, 340 are totally negative (1 star), so that it’s easy to conclude that my opinion reflects that of the totality of their customers.

When they don't resolve the issues they sill charge you. Their site is also antiquated compared to other sites and according to our website builder network solutions is the slowest he's ever come across. Not sure what the upside is. Try another Company.

I joined my current company as a software engineer with nearly a decade of experience working for Fortune 50 companies such as Comcast and PayPal. After the company CEO requested that I migrate our email hosting service to an upgraded platform, I used our established Network Solutions credentials to access the admin portal for our domain. Here's where the problems started.

Network Solutions insists on 2FA when accessing a portal. One of our directors established provided NS with his cell phone to use as this 2-factor verification method. This was done to replace an inaccessible email from a former employee of our company. Though NS made the director jump through several hops (including providing personal credit card information and payment), they eventually allowed the cell phone number as our verification method. Some time passed, and NS decided that cell phones were no longer an acceptable form of 2FA.

NS sent an alert email to the *former employee's* long-closed inbox, then switched our verification method back to that inbox. When we explained we no longer have access to that inbox, NS insisted that our director AGAIN provide a copy of his government issued ID and a copy of one of his personal utility bills. Considering NS's several documented issues with data security (2009, 2013, and more), I don't feel that they are good stewards of PPI. I spoke with 5 different customer service representatives, and all 5 gave conflicting answers about what NS would do to help us. Our migration has now been delayed for a week, and we've lost hours of employee time on the phone with NS's incompetent staff.

If you're a SYSADMIN, DEVOPS engineer, or an owner/tech employee of your company considering Network Solutions's services, go elsewhere. What you may save on an extended contract, you will pay for in servicing fees, time, and bulk purchases of Ibuprofen.

This is a technically incompetent company and one that will try to cheat you out of every last penny. Network Solutions sold me a product I didn't need, could not get that product to work, and then refused to return my money when I decided I did not want a product I didn't need and they could not get to work. For over 15 years, Network Solutions had been the registrar of my domain name and hosted a website for me. In June 2024, I contacted the company to end the website hosting. I was informed by their CSR that my email would no longer work if I did this; however, if I purchased "stand-alone email boxes" the email would work once the hosting was discontinued. I did this for an annual cost of $32 and spent an hour on the phone with a tech rep setting up two email boxes. I was told it would take 24 hours for the change "to populate." Immediately, I had no email but waited the 24 hours and still no email.

When I called the next day, the CSR told me the only way I could get help to get my email working was to subscribe to Network Solution's support service "mytime.com" for $199.00 per year. I objected, called back the next day, spoke with another tech rep who informed me the DNS settings were incorrect and needed to be reset. He enabled my email to be received on the Network Solutions site but not through my own inbox with MSFT Outlook. He informed me MSFT was the problem. I fortunately was able to contact a knowledgeable tech rep at MSFT who said Network Solutions had set the DNS values incorrectly. He fixed the problem and told me I did not need "stand-alone e-mail boxes."

The next day I called NS to cancel the stand-alone boxes. Network Solutions agreed to disable the stand-alone boxes but refused to issue me a credit because I had not cancelled within 3 business days, a policy about which I was never informed. I spent over 12 hours in one week trying to get my email to work. The email stopped working because Network Solutions failed to look at my original settings which had worked perfectly, changed the settings so the email didn't work and then blamed Microsoft for their incompetency. To add insult to injury, they refused to issue me a little $32 credit for a product which had never worked in the 7 days that I had had it. Thank heavens for Microsoft or I still wouldn't have email. I have never had such a negative experience as I have with Network Solutions. I was helping a client who owns his domain that was sitting on Network Solutions servers. The domain was being managed by the owner's friend whom passed away in 2017. A new website was built and we needed to get into the account to point his domain to the new website. We explained the situation to Network Solutions that the account needed updated with the business owner's information. They said in order to update the account with the business owner's information, they needed a state ID, recent utility bill and a business tax ID which are reasonable requests.

All the requested information was provided by the business owner. After multiple calls and many hours on the phone with several different reps over a two-week period, they are now requesting a court order. I have never been so frustrated trying to help a small business owner that owns his domain and is paid up through 2033. Stay clear from this company!

Network Solutions has been absolutely hideous. I built my first website through them over 20 years ago, using their designers. My company later had our website designed by another developer but continued, for a time, to host at Network Solutions. We have also used their email utility. The initial website, built and maintained by Network Solutions (at $75 per month) functioned properly. However, their website team was terrible in terms of getting our outside-designed website online, and shortly after the website was attacked by malware.

Network Solution's email worked well for a while, but over the last 10 or more years it has been subjected to frequent slow-ups, forcing us to sit waiting for the utility to open, for the screen to populate or for an email to open or send. At least three times in the last year the email has been completely inaccessible for hours or even an entire day at a time. My business gets almost all of its business through emails, so this is a disaster for us. We have finally had it and will be transferring our emails over to business gmail in the coming weeks. Stay away from this company. They either have gotten so big that they just don't care or they are completely incompetent at doing things like running an email server.

The problems started when NS was sold out to "web.com". It is as if all the technical employees were fired and entry-level offshore customer support supplied with boilerplate answers and a chatbot was put in their place. I've had no luck getting a call back, and no luck with sub-hosting 2 websites with the primary site. Their advertisements clearly lists multiple website hosting as one of the site hosting features with the "Essential Web Hosting" plan. The problem is 2 fold: 1.) no one can tell me or do the sub-hosting setup and 2.) the referrals from the chatbot are out of date (the steps don't match the page choices). Multiple calls and explains did no good. There is just no one you can connect with at NS that understands how to set up sub-hosting.

It was easy to make the purchase, but since I have not been able to log in. The package came with the option to create a website, this feature never works either. After calling customer support, I was told on over 4 occasions to reset the password and that they couldn't help me. I was billed additionally for services I can't use or cancel. I emailed their support team and was advised refunds aren't allowed. This was unfortunate due to the fact that I wanted the domain I purchased through them. Now I have to dispute the charges to get my money back. I spent hours of my time with their customer support that want helpful at all. Stay away, unless they have a change within the company.

This company is a joke and if I had time and could figure out how to leave them I would. They have now cost my company money as clients are not receiving our emails as many of our outgoing emails are going into spam. They involuntarily migrated our email system from one platform to another new one without any advance warning. They lie and tell me they sent out information regarding the migration which was **... I, my partner, and assistant never received anything.

All service reps are overseas, and no way to connect to anyone in USA. I have now spoken to them 5 times about problems since the migration and demanded to speak to a supervisor, and they never once have connected me to one. Just keep stating the supervisors are on the phone, and that none are available. When I leave my name and number for a supervisor to call me back, I never have been called back.

I have been told after 3 separate calls that they are 100% sure the problem is fixed, but it continues with emails going into spam. We can not possibly check and follow up on each email we send as to whether or not it has been received, nor should we have to. The owners of this company need to decide if they want to stay in business, because if they continue to use the overseas service area which are completely useless, then I expect this company to flounder and be out of business in the future.

Another issue is that when this migration happened, all of my, my partners, and assistants deleted emails disappeared, and they are telling me we can not get them back. I run a business using their email platform and we need those emails. They absolutely are the worst company in regards to customer service that I have ever dealt with. Google has a free platform for small business, I tried running an Ad Campaign yesterday and Google didn't approve it (destination not working) , after reading google's response I tried launching my website on google chrome and safari browsers and the website didn't launch from either browser, the following is google's advice:

Destination not working If the URL you entered isn't working, check to make sure that it's correct, then resubmit your ad for review. Common examples that are not allowed (non-exhaustive): Destinations that don't function properly or have been incorrectly set up (ex: site returns an HTTP client or server error code, site returns an authentication error, site doesn’t work on common browsers and devices).

I'm paying for a service that's losing me money, they play with, and use terminology I/we don't understand to make me/us feel like I/we don't know what we're experiencing with their lousy service. There has been a significant change since the company was bought out. With any technical problem, they leave you on hold while they research or ask people -- they seem not to have a base of knowledge.. I have waited on the phone for countless hours to get email help.

When they make changes (frequently, such as within the last 2 weeks they "migrated the email") they do not let you know, so you spend hours trying to figure something out that turns out to be caused by them. I have been a customer of Network Solutions since 1996.. Yet recently I have tried to add a domain to my account. I went to the Add Domain to purchase another domain. I put my name in and it shows me options of extensions.. I choose the .film ext and added to my cart. Purchased the domain.. Only to receive an email a day later saying it couldn't be fulfilled. So I called their customer support.. (Which seems to be manned by a bunch of incompetent idiots.). You have to spend nearly an hour explaining the problem to them and they feed you lines that a blatantly false. So my first call three days ago, when I was finally put in touch with a tech, he said there must have been a glitch in their system because the domain is registered to me, but not showing up in their system and an refund is issued. I don't want the refund. I simply want access to the domain..

They put in a ticket to escalate.. OK.. Then a day later, I get a response from the escalation, that they don't support .FILM extensions.. I found that rather odd, since my choosing the .FILM extension was because their website (Network Solutions) presented it to me as an option to add to my cart.. which I did. They even charge a premium fee as well.. which I originally questioned but then agreed. So for them to say they don't support .FILM Extensions begs the question why do they sell something they KNOW they don't support? Well after many hours of arguing with their support, finally some back office tech said they DO support .FILM.. Which then begs the question why do their other support people claim the opposite? Are they just idiots?

The problem gets worse from there. Now that they claimed they don't support the .FILM, but they also locked up the domain with ICANN.. and so I can't buy the domain from with anyone else that supports the .FILM.. I asked them to release it if they aren't going to support it.. Once again their support claimed they didn't lock it up, and they can't do anything about it. That if I wanted to get the domain I should call ICANN, which I did.. and ICANN Informed me that NS is the register of the domain and was surprised they were claiming they couldn't support .FILM since they had registered the domain. And they in fact registered it at the very time I was buying it. Which confirms the original technician's "Glitch" comment and objectively refutes the five other Support agents who claimed it wasn't supported by NS and they didn't register the domain. Basically their support agents are flat out lying.

So I go back to NS as ICANN advised and go through another hour on a phone with a support Shawn.. Who is trying to be helpful, and it was he who did inform me that they do support .FILM just as ICANN proved., but can't seem to get the problem solved and puts in another escalation ticket.. From which I'm told I must wait another 48 hours.. So it's been almost 4 days, and 10 hours of phone calls with NS on the domain issue that THEY CREATED, but seem to be in complete denial despite OBJECTIVE tangible evidence that they created a mess. The bottom line resolution I want is either attach the domain to may account and let me use it.. As was the original intent.. Or release it from ICANN so I can take my business elsewhere. I have sent a message to their CEO Sharon Rowlands, waiting to see if that resolves the issue.. to date no resolution.

My review is that NS has some serious problems with customer service and their own back office operations.. If they don't support certain domains they shouldn't be selling them on their website.. It's seems to me to be a crime to take people money even for a day on a false pretense .. When they KNOW up front they don't support what they are selling.. It's like someone stealing from you on the street.. And then giving your money back the next day.. Doesn't change the fact they stole from you the day before. I hope Sharon can address their back office incompetency and serious credibly issues with support.. Until then my review would be to AVOID Network Solutions.

I continued to renew and pay for the domain up until 5/2021 when it was advised by someone who worked there to let the domain expire so they could then put it in my name. Then they told me to pay for a "backorder" for this domain, never mentioning that they sold the same backorder to 5 other people before me. I called network solutions so many times in the past year to get help and instead of helping me, they sold it to make more money for themselves. Do not do business with this company, they take zero responsibility for their actions and do not advise or help their customers.

I needed to transfer our domain away from Network Solutions. Simple, right? Well, not so fast. The chat agent will ask why you're leaving and try to get you to stay. They will offer a discount to try to keep you with the company. This is pretty annoying, but it's not all that uncommon. But there are 3 things that are uncommon and prompted this review.

    1. The chat agent ended the chat abruptly with no explanation even though the domain is locked!

    2. It's uncommon to be charged as much as they charge for services in both scope and scale. I took over an account for my client and noticed that they're being charged for lots of domains they don't need and were upsold on services they neither needed nor understood.

    3. It's also uncommon to have reviews as consistently low as this company. I'd honestly be embarrassed to work for them. Please do your research before you think of trusting this company. If you search "Network Solutions Reviews" into your search engine, you'll be well-informed. There are lots of reviews about Network Solutions online and at the time of this writing another review site shows 223 reviews with 97% 1 star! Even scrolling through this list of reviews on ConsumerAffairs gives a prospective customer a very helpful insight into what doing business with Network Solutions will be like.

I have purchased domain names and hosted them on Network Solutions for almost 20 years. Somehow, someone checked a wrong box years ago and we ended up with two domain hosting packages when we only needed one. That was a $400.00 (three year) mistake, caused by their intentionally confusing options. That 3 year mistake was going to "renew" August 16, 2020, and I needed it to "expire", so on June 7, 2020, rather than try and find how to disable "auto-renew", in their confusing labyrinth decision tree, I called Network Solutions and let them know that I needed "auto-renew" disabled on everything associated with that second hosting package. I was assured it was done. But they said it would take a day or two to reflect correctly on the online account information.

The next week, June 13, 2020, more than two months before the service was set to expire, they debited my checking account $438.15 for another 3 year hosting package. (To host nothing.) I caught it before it paid and filed a stop payment and canceled the debit card and got a new one. The bank did get the funds back initially, but somehow Network Solutions debited the account again on June 23, 2020 and got it to go through again, in spite of the fact that the card had been canceled.

Now they refuse to refund the "payment" (money they stole) based on the argument that in 2012 they changed their user agreement provisions to provide for no refunds once a "purchase has been made." (ie. If we can steal your money two months before you owe it to us, even after you tell us not to, you cannot have it back.) This needs to be a class-action lawsuit, and I will be one of your named plaintiffs.

They were good folks 20 years ago, but now they are scam artists IMHO. I used to be a loyal customer. Now I cannot wait to get away from them all together. Unfortunately, the only hosting package I need (the first one) doesn't expire until 2022. Did I mention that there is no refund if they manage to steal your money? There is also no refund if you transfer elsewhere. I have to be just one of tens of thousands they have done this to. Use ANYONE EXCEPT Network Solutions for anything! And if you are a lawyer looking for a class-action lawsuit, this will be a good one for the lawyer. I'll just be happy to get my $438.15 back.

The quality of the hosting is very poor with our site frequently being down and always loading very slowly. I run the site on Wordpress and the versions of software on the server were not kept up to date with the recommended minimums.

When I have had to contact customer service, the representatives have always been friendly enough, but they usually cannot take care of the request I have. I was unable to access the account for a period of months from certain locations but not others and they were unable to help with this at all. They are very gimmicky and try to upsell you at every turn. Thankfully I have a background in web services and know what to ignore, but I can easily see a less experienced user falling for their very dramatic and intrusive ads that make it seem like the world will end if you do not buy an unnecessary service. They have even called my office to try to sell add-on services which were totally unnecessary or are free with most modern web hosts.

I finally decided to transfer all services away from them and they have made the process much harder than it should be. After requesting for the domain to be unlocked so I could make the transfer, it took 3 days for them to send the authorization code. Within a few hours of receiving the code I got another email saying that they had noticed suspicious activity on the account and had automatically put a new 30 day lock on the account. I have no doubt that this was done as a stalling tactic. I called customer service to have the lock removed and despite the lady I spoke with being very nice, she tried to get me to reconsider transferring and after I made it clear this wasn't happening she told me that the domain would be unlocked in 30 days. After pressing her that this was unacceptable and there was no reason for this she agreed to escalate the claim which I am waiting for a response to.

Overall, every experience I have had with Network Solutions has been frustrating and I feel dirty after having done it. It is sad to see a company that had an important role in the proliferation of the internet degrade itself to the point of their business model being entirely based on entrapping unsuspecting victims into keeping their poor services. Network Solutions has policies where they charge your on file credit card or PayPal accounts at least 30 days early for domain renewals. They also charged me 3 months early for webhosting renewal. I called and canceled the service and received a credit, only to have them renew it again less than a week later. Another phone call was required to cancel it again. I recently cancelled separate email hosting with them and updated my account with a new email address. It reverted back to the cancelled email address 24hrs later. I changed it again, went through the review and approval process again. 24rs later I received an email confirming the email address was being changed back to the dead account. More than 2 hours on hold and on the phone with them this week.

Also, the email change on my account initiated a 60 day ICANN lock which delayed the transfer. They didn't tell me about the lock when I requested the email hosting cancellation because I was moving to GoDaddy. They waited until I called back to request my transfer codes. I was with Network Solutions for 20+ years... They have changed through the years and I would never recommend them to anyone at this point.

Finally, after years of this, I found out that they had continued to charge me for services related to the cancelled websites, like email forwarding, rather than cancelling those when I cancelled the websites. They have been charging me $39.99 per year for 5 domains that I had with them. Not only that, there were all these add ons $4.99 here, $15.99 there, $13.99 over there month after month. One year, 2018 I believe, they took over $1000 from my checking account for just 5 domains. Finally I've had enough and transferred the domains to another company that only charges me $11.99 per year and that's that.

They transferred the main domain a year ago and to my surprise they will still charging me all the add ons for that domain until this day. Not only that, they have bombarded me with stupid emails and all kinds of scary tactics about expiration dates, renew this, renew that... it is incredible. The company I use now sends me one email every month which is a statement for $19.99 for my website and that's it. When I asked why I couldn't see the Public_html file, she said she couldn't answer that... that tech support would have to be called. And of course it would cost. That time I didn't ask how much. I'm sure it was some employee that didn't know better. Here is my experience with this wonderful company. It took three phone calls and two chats to just get into the account to change the DNS. Once the login was set, I tried to unlock the domain to transfer it when I noticed it was expiring. Was informed that it wouldn't be unlocked until the 1st. I tried again on the 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th. Couldn't unlock it. It expired on the 6th and was redirected on the 7th.

I signed on again today, figuring that it had to be unlocked by now and after 3 hours of chatting, having to set up a second admin account and getting the run-around, I was informed that the domain would not be unlocked for 30 days. Meaning the only way to get the domain back up and pointing correctly was to wait 30 days or renew. I had noticed that when I tried to unlock it and transfer the domain, one of the 4 warning pages gave me the option to renew at a lower rate. Unlike the $35 yearly renewal with a reactivation fee of $53, it was only about $18. Even then it tried to tack on a number of additional services and another $35. For some reason when I changed the billing to PayPal invoice all the fees went away. Showing that after $18 as renewed for the year.

Back to chatting with Jimmy **. Either this guy is the only customer service rep they have or there are a lot of Jimmy **s at this company because I've talked to at least 5 of them now. So, after I paid he tried to tell me that I had only renewed the email service and to get my website back up, I need to pay another $75. I then cut and pasted the invoice and he backed off. When I asked how soon the DNS would be corrected, good old helpful Jimmy ** told me 48 to 72 hours. If this company contacts you, look up your domain on who is and if they are not listed as the registrar they are phishing you. Disregard it and contact your real registrar. It's not a huge site, just your basic campaign site which I need for the voter's pamphlet. I spent a couple of days getting it exactly as I wanted it and then I get a call asking me if I'm happy with the package.

The guy tells me that for the relatively small size of my site, I didn't really need all the storage space that comes with the $12.95 a month site I purchased and I should reduce that package to a $45 per year package and save money. Sounds good, right? Then I suddenly see I have an additional new hosting package on top of the one I just built. I open a ticket and explain I didn't want another package, that I had been misled. I then called them to speed things up. I was on hold forever.

Finally, a kid gets on and begins talking about his freaking new cat. Eventually, after 36 minutes on the phone, he claims he's resolved everything and the $45 will be refunded and the new package removed. Then, you guessed it, two refunds were issued and both hosting packages deleted. The site I just spent two days on vanished and goes to a dead link. Once I resolve this, if I can, I will never use these idiots again. I've disliked them ever since web.com bought them and rarely use them, but I was in a hurry to get a campaign site up and running. I have 4 SSL products with Network Solutions, 3 of which I renewed. Despite the successful renewal of the 3 that I want, I am being harassed nearly everyday by emails stating that my card can't be authorized, the URLs will expire and my service will be interrupted. I have made no less than 5 phone calls and each time they say everything is fine and the emails will stop. Well that's a lie! Next year I will go to another vendor, if not sooner. This is a shame because the certs work fine and the process to get them was easy. If not for their emails, I would not have posted this negative review. Jim **.

If I could give zero stars I would. If my issue gets resolved I will take this review down if not I will write a full review about my horrible experience. I will also list the employees names that are arrogant and cocky. I have not been able to get into my email for 3 weeks. They have lied about the issue brushed me off and had me pay for storage that they are now saying because I saved too many emails. That what the issue is. They lost all my emails back 7 yrs. My storage was not even 1/2 way full. Not sure why I paid for storage that I can't use.

Their customer service has been useless for me. And they will hold your domain hostage if you want to transfer to another host. I've been lied to by 2 customer service reps and one of their tech guys. Their site builder is old school, cumbersome and very slow. They are far behind the times in web tech. They do not have a full 24/7 service like most companies. And you cannot get the proper help if you do manage to find someone, who will at first claim they can help you. I've been given the wrong phone to call by customer service several times. Dealing with them is very heartbreaking and frustrating. And reading the vast amount of complaints has me very worried about my domain.

Feb. 14, 2019. After 4 attempts and a total of 6 hours on the phone with promises that my domain will be returned to me within 24-48 hours and a charge on my credit card, I get a notice saying that my domain is up for an auction. This is the most dishonest and dirty company I have encountered in my life. They act as a monopoly and the government should do something about this. They are profiting in a totally illegal manner. They are continuing to make the same promises and nothing happens.

I got a call from a customer that complained that I had not answered her many emails. Since I had not received any emails from her I tested it myself and the test email I sent did not show up in my mailbox. There was no bounce back. just an email that disappeared! My customer had told me that the first email she sent was almost a year ago! I immediately called customer service and 24 hours later the issue was still not resolved.

I can't imagine the number of emails I have missed because of this and I don't have any idea how long this has been going on. Imagine the lost business! I can't even begin to quantify it! At least if there was a bounce back message they would have know there was a problem with the email and contacted me by phone but because there was none it just looked like I was not answering emails! I of course asked for compensation and they offered me $1.07!!! I could not believe it! Are you kidding me?? $1.07 On top of that when I got upset the employee hung up on me. The issue is STILL not resolved!

I've had a similar experience to other users who have experienced unauthorized charges on a Network Solutions account. Network Solutions ADDED one of my credit cards to my account. They did this without my permission. BASICALLY THEY STOLE MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER, CVS number, and expiration date as well as my current contact information. The company is engaging in unlawful activity.

I bought a domain name from them. I let it lapse for several months. Now they registered it themselves and want $477 to give it back to me. This is underhanded, dirty theft. I had moved my other business from Network Solutions because their service was so crappy.

For some time I have been getting emails from them asking me if I wanted to purchase similar domain names. I pretty much just ignored them. I have no desire to purchase other variations of my domain name. Now it seems that they have selected to charge me for an additional domain name; something I NEVER asked for or Authorized!!! What kind of racket are they running? Not only did they give it (same domain prefix but a different extension (.tech)) to me without asking my permission but they proceeded to charge my credit card WITHOUT MY PERMISSION! THIS IS ILLEGAL!!! They have done this before holding up my funds and I am 2 seconds from filing a class action lawsuit because they have pulled this illegal nonsense before. These corrupt and illegal business practices must STOP FOREVER and legal action should be taken against them!

Similar to all the complaints here. I have been robbed and I feel terrible about it. Domain only expired 3 days and I have to pay $35 + $37 to have it renewed? for a .COM? Before now, I tried to transfer the domain name from these thieves, they gave an auth code after couple of days, I added it to the new registrar, but after about 5 or 7 days, the transfer was canceled because they said the domain name was locked. I know 100% that I unlocked the domain name for transfer. I checked about and it was still "unlocked" in my account, but somehow, NetworkSolutions keep it locked and won't let it go. How are they still in business? Is there anyone who knows how we can get on these guys with the Law?

Network Solutions, LLC is a very horrible and aggressive subsidiary of Web.com (Web.com Group, Inc) that sends spam unsolicited and without any business relationship. «Confirmation of Change of Password», «Your Services Will Be Interrupted - Due to Billing Information», «Service Expiration - Renew Now», «Action Required :: Your Account Information Is Incomplete» or «Reminder - Notice About Your Account» (just a selection) is used in the email subject line to unsettle recipients and make them believe that urgent action is needed. I recommend avoiding these fraudulent spammers and their parent company Web.com. There are cheap and serious alternatives to these two companies.

Okay, so I own several domains which I host through Godaddy. I do not pay for privacy protection for any of them but I do not receive much spam in regards to people wants to 'design' a website for me or 'SEO' or that junk. I purchased a domain from 'Network Solutions' and the calls and emails literally started FLOODING IN. People are calling my house at all hours (including 5 AM) to try and sell me different products to do with web design or search engine optimization.

This NEVER happened when I purchased a domain from GoDaddy or Google domains, the only reason I chose Network Solutions was because of the deal for $1 for the first year otherwise I never would have went with them and wish I didn't now. I think (and this is my opinion based on the facts at hand) Network Solution sells your information to third parties when you initially sign up for a domain without privacy protection so they can make money off the signup, but at the same time making it seem 'cheap'. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!

As I had deal with US business for the last 30 years, I had never seen such rude and unhelpful CS responses. I ordered an SSL service from Network Solutions, but according to the instruction and I cannot locate the SSL configuration button at the management interface. I noticed it should be something wrong with the user interface and open a service call. Since I was needing this SSL cert in urgent, I went ahead and order one from register.com (eventually it is the same company).

On the next day, I got the reply and a fix on my user interface. But I mentioned that I don't need this service anymore. I didn't ask for a refund but asked to stop the auto-renewal, in order to prevent from future charges. I received a standard message mentioning that I need to call their loyalty department in person, unless "If you are a customer outside of the USA or Canada and you're unable to call, you can submit an online support request from [CS URL] stating you wish to cancel your services." Then, they closed my CS ticket.

OK, I open another ticket and stating that I am currently resides in Hong Kong and wish to cancel the service and quoting the message above (actually this is what I was referred). Then, I got the same message replied (not a word changed) and closed my ticket again. I replied and reinstate that according to the instruction, I can cancel my service online if I don't reside in US and Canada and I am not able to call. Then, the third time, I received a simpler answer: I need to call 2.800.**. I don't know why it is so hard for just disabling the auto renewal service. My feeling is that once you ordered with Network Solutions, you will end up spending tremendous effort to end the business with them. I finally deactivated my PayPal with Network Solutions and gave up reaching their CS over and over again.

I purchased a URL called DayStarters from Network Solutions for $3,000. But they made a mistake and sold me "DayStarter" (not plural). When we pointed out the mistake to them, they said that we should buy the correct one (plural) for another $3,000 and that the money for the one they mistakenly identified would be refunded. Now Network Solutions refuses to refund the extra $3,000 in spite of the fact that their employee has confirmed our representation. We have filed an appeal with American Express and since the appeal was filed Network Solutions has now suddenly retroactively linked the incorrect URL that we don't want (their mistake, remember?) to the one we want "DayStarters". Taking money for something we did not authorize and in fact their own salesperson affirmed that we did not authorize it is fraud. Buy URLs through Network Solutions at your own peril.
