I decided to purchase a vehicle service contract from Zurich for the security, knowing that I can get things taken care of, and everything was outstanding. My car wouldn't turn on and I couldn't drive it so I had to have my car towed to the Honda dealer. By the time I got there, the mechanic there had already called Zurich and got everything sorted out, figured out what was the problem with the car. I just had to pay my deductible. Everything was quick, easy and simple. I was glad that my car was running perfectly. So, it was a good experience.

I have a leased car, and I thought it’d be smart to add a vehicle service contract really quickly. I got rim and tire protection and ding and dent protection from Zurich. I recently used it. Something was stuck in my tire when I drove over it, within like the first month of having my car, so I needed a new tire immediately. I dropped my tire off at Pride Chevrolet, and the next day, it was done. Zurich paid for the claim and I didn't have to pay for anything.

When I called Zurich, their reps let me know of any licensed dealerships or auto body shops I could go to with the Zurich contract. They were pretty fast. Thereafter, I went into a dealership, told them I had the contract and they took care of everything. When I went in again afterwards, the dealership guys just gave me my key and told me to have a good day. The coverage has been far and beyond my expectations thus far.

Zurich was recommended by a Ford dealer and I have been with the company since I bought the truck. It has been a couple of months now and so far, they've been good. I have bumper-to-bumper and I haven't had any trouble. If there is a problem, I take the truck to the Ford dealer who figures out what the matter is. Then, they call Zurich and Zurich says approved or not, and away we go. I have a $100 deductible and I understand all that. I hate to use that kind of stuff, but the way vehicles are today, it will pay for the policy.

I went ahead and got a vehicle service contract because of the guarantee that if I had a breakdown, it was gonna be covered and that I wouldn't pay everything out of pocket. The dealership offered me Zurich and so I got mine from them. So far, everything has been perfect with my experience with them and what they're doing seems to be perfect. I have received excellent customer service from them. The first time I had to use the service contract, there was a glitch in the paperwork. Apparently, my vehicle was built in Canada. It was something I didn't know when I bought it. Zurich was prompt on fixing that and it's been great ever since. They covered the claim that I had back then. At first I thought that the cost was a bit steep - my deductible is at $100 - but after using the service contract twice, I came to find out that it wasn't so bad after all. It paid for itself.

I plan on keeping my car and if there's anything happening with it, with it being high on mileage, I have it at least covered with Zurich Vehicle Service Contract. I've had the car serviced twice and the first time, my fuel injectors needed to be cleaned but it never fixed the problem. When I brought it back, I had to pay another deductible but whatever was done this time, the car got fixed. I wish I didn't have to pay a second deductible though. It was not fair since the car wasn't fixed the first time but other than that, everything has been good so far with Zurich.

I purchased a 2018 Honda Civic from D-Patrick in Evansville, IN. When purchasing the car I added on the warranty service with Zurich, the 10 year/125k mile package. First. This was suppose to include three free oil changes. I take my car in for the first oil change this week since purchasing the vehicle. They said that it only applies to certain dealerships and that it won’t be covered at the Honda dealership I have it at now. It’s only $50 for the oil change. Not sure why it’s an issue but fine. Secondly and most frustrating. I hit a really nasty pothole that blew out both passenger tires. I will say that they did come through with the roadside assistance that paid for the tow truck to come get me, although I did have to wait 3 hours for it to get there. Apparently it took 2 hours to get it all approved before the driver of the tow truck was even contacted.

The next day, the two tires were replaced. The front rim was slightly bent and since the Honda service shop didn’t have one on hand, they simply moved it to the back since the car is front wheel drive. So overall they did nearly $400 of work. (Zurich covers 2500 for wheels and tires.) So by the time I can take it back to finish the repairs, the bent rim has already caused damage to the new tire. And they’re now telling me that three rims are bent from the pothole.

Overall this work will now be over the remaining $2100 coverage and I will have to pay another $750 on top of it to complete the repairs. Slightly frustrating since it wasn’t fixed properly the first time and this is considered to all be one case, which is why they’re only covering 2100 more on the bill. So I called their customer service to see if we can work something out, just to consider my options. This is when I had the worst customer service. The person I talked to on the phone was very unprofessional and actually hung up on me. Couldn’t believe it. Overall, the D-Patrick dealership has been the only service that has actually tried to be as helpful as possible. The service through Zurich has been extremely stressful and made the process last much longer than it should.

After my deductible the repair costs would have been around $700, they wanted them to tear apart my transmission and in the event they could get out of it I would be responsible for those repairs as well. I paid way more than $700 for the service contract. What a waste! Buyers beware! They will do anything to get out of paying a claim.

I bought a used truck from Thompson Toyota last year. I have only put 5000 miles on it. I go to get in the car and the parking brake light is on and my car won't move out of gear. The defrosters weren't working or blinkers, or wipers, power windows etc. I assumed my bumper to bumper warranty should cover it. After all, it's not normal wear and tear. It's a defect of some sort needing dealership repair. So I plan to get this covered. Rent a car so I can work. Then the dealership calls and tells me it's not covered. It was denied. So in all, I am looking at $1000 or more on top of my $250 rental car deposit.

I live paycheck to paycheck and then this happens right after Christmas expenses. I am now waiting for Ed at the dealership who said he will call Zurich and speak to them. I am waiting for a return call now to see what they tell Ed. And while I am at it, thanks Donald Trump for the shutdown. I'll post this now and if Ed gets it covered I will post a retraction. If not, further agency complaints will be made.

They replaced the tire and it was all done through the dealer. This is a new dealer for us. We got two Volvos at the same time, and we’re just thrilled with this particular dealer. They’ve been terrific about everything so it seems like their way of operating is to make it as easy for us, as the buyers, as possible. They’ve been great. The coverage I received completely met my expectations. We trust the dealer, and they use Zurich so it made sense in our experience really reinforce that. We’re very pleased with this company.

The dealership that I went to, really went to bat for me as their customer.

The salesperson that I was buying the car from or the finance person offered me not only the insurance but the remote starter as well, so for the money, it was well worth it and that was why I purchased the vehicle service contract from Zurich. And living in the New England area, it never hurts to have tire insurance. I had an incident a couple of months ago and used Zurich's service. It is not easy to get the tire and I have the insurance. I called the dealership and they told me to bring the car right in. They said they'd probably take a day or two to get the tire. I was scheduled to go on a business trip, so as soon as I got to the dealership, the tire was in transit to the shop, so they ended up doing the service that day. They took my information and saw that I was insured. They fixed it and I was on my way.

I was happy with the service of Hyundai but not of the road service. I called the Hyundai road service, but I was way behind in line. I was on a timeline to get to New York and I didn't have much time, so I ended up changing the tire myself and driving into the dealership. It took the road service too long, but it was no big deal. I didn't have any issues getting one tire replaced or Hyundai doing the service. They did it very quickly and it worked out that time. The experience was stressful, but it all worked out between the tire insurance/Zurich and the dealership. It helped and I had no problems with it. I had an excellent experience with Zurich.

We called Zurich to get a pre-authorization and to make sure that those tires were okay for the warranty to which they said they were. I replaced all four tires and as we were checking out, we called Zurich and that's when they said they'd only pay for one tire and I had to pay for the other three. I was disappointed in the fact that the warranty said that it'll pay for replacing any tires due to road hazards but they only wanted to pay for one without telling me or the shop why so the warranty is not what it said it was.

Called dealership, took truck back, found out that the corrosion on the connector to the steering module was just the start of the issue, the module itself was also faulty, Zurich did not ask me to pay deductible again as I had already paid it once.

I found out at dealership that it must have been a known problem and that Engineers from Ram/Fiat were re-engineering the issue and that it would be almost 2 months for the dealer to receive updated parts to repair my truck. We purchased a new vehicle at Don Beyer Volvo Dulles in June, 2016. The sales person pitched Zurich insurance. As I recall, the cost was not inexpensive - about $1,200. Don Beyer likely received a nice commission for selling this worthless "peace of mind". About 6 months after the purchase of the car, we experienced a flat tire on I-95 - mind you these are $300 Continental tires that had very very low mileage on them. Zurich had no choice but to cover that tire. Fast Forward 2.5 years and we had another flat on a tire with about 9,000 miles on it - $300 Continental tire. My husband believes the tire is either defective or he hit something in the roadway. Of course, he was towed to Don Beyer and Zurich refused to cover the tire.

Zurich sent an"independent" investigator to inspect the tire which simply confirmed Zurich's position that the damage was caused by a curb hit, an exclusion. So Don Beyer wins this one because they got to charge us $400 to replace and do an alignment. Shame on Don Beyer for taking advantage of its customers by selling worthless insurance. I want to cancel this insurance and obtain a refund of the remaining balance. Does anyone know if Zurich is legally required to allow me to do this? Make sure you read all the fine print, but we would have been better off paying for items as they came up vs. the warranty. Also, when we brought it to the dealership to get fixed it took about 1 week for an adjuster from Zurich to review and reject our claim. Requiring sometimes 3 trips to the dealership for repair.

My wife and I purchased a Zurich powertrain warranty when we bought her 2013 Ford Fusion. After about six months the transmission failed in our car. We brought it into our local Ford dealer as recommended by Zurich. The dealer removed the transmission and after repeated calls to Zurich, an inspector came to confirm the transmission was bad. It took four days during which we had to pay for our own loaner car as Zurich only pays AFTER the inspection has been completed. Zurich then gave us the choice of using a Ford transmission for an extra $1500 or use one they found. After the transmission was installed Zurich refused to pay for a portion of the labor as they said they only pay for x amount of hours for a transmission replacement. They also refused to pay for part of the inspection fee. They refused to pay for a bypass valve that their transmission manual absolutely requires.

The end result was that we paid $432 out of pocket for a transmission that we had a "warranty" on. I guess when Zurich says powertrain warranty, they mean powertrain warranty* with a lot of fine print and slimy ways to get out of paying for whatever goes wrong. The customer service representatives I talked to on several calls sounded like they were reading legal disclaimers from a script and were not helpful at all. I would recommend thinking twice about working with this company.

Called Zurich for a tow but instructed them that we needed a dolly and lift as the car was stuck in park. Zurich rep did not advise us about our expired warranty (2 days old) and charged us $72 for the tow. Tow truck arrived without requested equipment and offered to drag my car onto and shake off the flatbed. I cancelled the tow to prevent further damage to my vehicle. Called Zurich to get my $72 back since no tow occurred and they arrived without equipment for the tow. I was told my credit card would be refunded within 48 hours.

I explained that when I made my initial call had I been informed that my contract was no longer valid I would have ended the request right then, but the Zurich representative failed to inform me and never gave me the chance to make that decision. I feel like I was robbed twice that day. Not only did they neglect to inform me of my expired contract and charge me for the tow truck but the tow truck could not even provide the service I paid for because the Zurich rep failed to ensure it had the proper equipment so I literally paid for nothing. In 2007 I bought a 2003 Acura TL from a dealer. I had preshopped extended warranties online and was prepared to laugh in the face of dealer when they offered me a bloated, overpriced warranty but instead the one they offered had better terms and a lower price than what I had found online so I went with it. Shortly before the 3 year term of my warranty was over, I felt a slight surge and thought there was a slight chance there was a problem with my transmission. I drove directly to the Acura dealer that was near my destination and found out there was indeed a problem and was surprised to find out I needed a new transmission. They asked if I had a warranty and I had to go home to find it. When I called back and told the dealership it was from Zurich, they informed me I would have no problems -- Zurich was a very solid and reputable company.

About 3 days later I picked up my repaired vehicle, and turned in the rental Zurich paid for. I never paid a dime for the repairs or the rental. I imagine they have different levels of contracts which with lower premiums and lower benefits, but I never was offered any other. I paid $2000 roughly and the repairs and rental would have come to at least about $3500. The only reason I am writing this review now is, I couldn't remember the name of the carrier and in trying to find it, ran across this showing Zurich with 1 out of 5 stars. I bought a 2011 Chevy Impala, and paid over $2,200.00 for a 100,000-mile warranty. Recently, the AC blower stopped blowing. The problem was caused by a connector on a wiring harness with a burnt pin. It also damaged a speed control module (they call it a "resistor", but it really isn't - it is a solid state circuit). The "resistor" is not covered by warranty, but the contract plainly states that wiring harnesses are covered. The person in claims refused to cover it, saying the "resistor" caused the problem.
