In the two weeks I've had my Zurich Vehicle Service Contract I got four flat tires. The ones on my vehicle are low profile tires and rims. I asked Zurich if I could change the style of tires on my vehicle and they told me "No". While Zurich, would cover replacement tires for the life of the car, I couldn’t change the style. I was kinda disappointed since I’m trying to save Zurich money by buying a different style of tires that wouldn’t potholes in the dark. So my only option is to continue with this style of tires and rims and just run the risk of more flat tires and rim damage 'cause I don’t have the money to go out and buy four new tires and rims. Nevertheless, I've been fully satisfied with the service I received during my claims.

I was a bit scared to use 3rd party warranty companies since I had very bad experience with other ones. I decided to give Zurich a chance since I researched them prior to buying it I didn't see too many complaints. After buying the bumper to bumper Warranty a few months down to road I started having problems with my car regarding to suspension. And fuel lines are bad with car only having 50k miles. Zurich really covered what they promised to do so! I just had to buy the deductible. Will definitely be using Zurich for all my extended warranties from now on.

I am a retiree of Zurich, I know that one of the benefits is getting a special price, and so now I have my vehicle service contract with them. When I had my car for repair at Subaru, I told the guy where my contract was and he made the claim. He told me it was 100% covered and I could pick up my car. Only the dealership had communication with Zurich and I had no need to contact them. So, all worked just exactly like I expected it to.

When I first went in for my repair through Ford, there was a bit of drama. I went in on day one to get an oil change and have Ford look at my tire that was losing pressure. The servicemen got the oil changed but then they had to order a tire and they said my tire would be in the next day. The next day, I called to find out if the tire came in but then they forgot to order it. They were gonna make me wait until Monday. I have a sick father that was in a nursing home that I had to go to. I explained to the serviceman that I couldn't wait until Monday.
Ford ended up special ordering my tire and getting it in on Saturday. I went and got the tire done. They invoiced me on Monday and I was wondering why they were invoicing me as I have Zurich. I called Ford and they said that was a mistake. For a little-bitty tire, it was like grief. The customer service of Ford had poor communication. Still, Zurich did well for me.

When we bought our used program car, the Zurich contract was given as an option and I thought it would be a good idea to go ahead and take it. Then, my wife had to take the car in to Chevrolet and a repair was done on a solenoid somewhere. We just paid the deductible and Zurich took care of it. That claim experience went well and now I wouldn’t wanna be without a vehicle service contract these days.

I purchased an extended warranty on my 2013 Honda Civic back in 2013 - at the Honda dealership. I was under the impression this coverage was with Honda itself, not through a 3rd party company. When my car needed repairs 5/6 years down the line and I spoke with the Honda dealerships I was currently visiting (I had moved multiple times due to school and work), I was told that the repairs I was having done did not fall under my current warranty.
Later on, I realized my warranty was through Zurich. I contacted them and was told to send in my claims and what repairs would be done and that they would be reviewed. While I was told they could not guarantee me coverage, he seemed hopeful that they'd work with me since I was unaware the warranty was even still active/would cover the repairs done.
Fast forward a couple weeks - I sent in 3 different claims. 2 included TPMS sensors that kept breaking and 1 included a rear tire caliber breaking, which cost me over $1000. They covered the 1 TMPS sensor but denied the others stating they needed pre-authorization prior to approval and they were "doing me a courtesy" by approving the 1 claim - which was the cheapest of them all! Not only am I pissed, I'm super upset - both with Honda themselves and Zurich. Of course I'd send in pre-authorizaiton if I'd known my insurance was through you! And then for you to approve the cheap claim and deny the expensive one, if you were "doing me a courtesy" you'd be approving the one that cost me hundreds of dollars rather than <$100.
I've spoken to Honda themselves who says it's out of their hands and they're not responsible, and Zurich is "doing me a courtesy" and will not budge. They state that in the future, things would be covered. Well, at this point I have <1 year left on my warranty and I'm out about $2500 in repairs over the last 1.5 years... so the "future" doesn't exactly help me in regards to that money already lost/spent. So point of the story - know what you're buying and who it's with. I spent $2000 on an extended warranty with $0 deductible, the "best" plan Zurich says, and yet I can't use any of it and feel completely taken advantage of throughout this entire process, both from Honda and Zurich insurance. I am extremely displeased by their customer service and will not purchase anything through them again.

When I bought a new vehicle, Zurich was the company that the dealership went through. Unfortunately, I received a call from another warranty company, and they got me to purchase another warranty for $150 a month. Then when it rained, my ABS light and five other lights came on out of nowhere. Plus, my brakes locked up. A module on the computer had to be replaced. I tried to use the other warranty company, but they denied my claim. I knew I had coverage and that was when I found my Zurich warranty and they saved me a lot. Except for the deductible, I did not have to do anything out-of-pocket.

I purchased a pre-owned vehicle and I haven't had it for two months yet it has been been giving me problems. I didn't get a chance to talk to Zurich. The people at Honda just talked to them. The dealership's customer service was impeccable. They were really nice and very accommodating for coming in on a Saturday. They took it for a couple of days and gave a loaner, which was very nice of them. They fixed everything and they put the latest software in my computer so that my computer would work. When I got the car, I didn't have to pay any money. They said Zurich handled everything. However, it's the car itself that has now become the issue. It still doesn't seem like it has been fixed because my car is not doing what it is supposed to. I'm bringing the car back on Saturday. I have an appointment at 9:00, but they said I should be done around 11:15, so I'm gonna go straight to Honda.
Zurich's overall performance, their customer service, their evaluation have all been fine. The fact that the dealership took the car and gave me a loaner and said they fixed everything, I like that part. But because the car is still not working, I don't know if it's just the car itself or if the car is possessed or if they didn't fix it properly. Now, I'm not taking the vehicle to get it fixed. I'm either going to return the car and they'd give me my money back, or I need a different car because I just got the car on August 31st, and this is my second time taking the car back. In the end, somebody is not doing their job properly or the car is just possessed. So something needs to happen, like retraining or an exorcism.

Claim # **. I purchased a 5 year or 100,000 mile comprehensive contract believing I was fully covered. The air conditioning in my GMC started getting less and less cold and it was determined by the GMC dealer that the evaporator was leaking. I got the extended service coverage information to the dealer and they called Zurich. The dealer reported that Zurich would not cover all the labor that the dealer estimated and told the dealer the if I had questions to call them. I called them and they stated they were covering adequate labor that that I needed to talk to the dealer. So I was stuck in the middle between the dealer and Zurich trying to get them to cover my claim. Both would not budge so I ended up paying $248 of a covered repair. I feel this is a breach of contract and others should what they are getting into before purchasing.

I bought a service contract for peace of mind so, if we’re gonna pay that much for a car, I’d like to make sure that it isn’t a lemon. The dealer dealt with Zurich directly. They had it on file that we got the warranty so then, my claim was covered. It would be good to know, when you’re buying a vehicle, even though it is a used one, there are a lot of add-ons afterwards. It’s pretty overwhelming at the purchase time. So, having it really clear the advantage of buying a Zurich warranty would perhaps make more people purchase it. I’d recommend a friend to Zurich.

I didn’t get everything covered but for the couple of things that I needed, the policy sounded beneficial. I also purchased it because I thought I was getting a better deal with the dealership. It was definitely not Zurich's fault but I thought I had a little more money to play with. Nonetheless, my experience has been good so far. I've had to use them once when I had a flat tire and it was damaged too close to my sidewall. I called two or three times to get some information but apparently, the shop that’s doing the work needs to call. I relayed that to the second person I went to. The first person had refused to work on my car because he believed that it was a hassle to work with this type of coverage company, which I can understand, but it was also frustrating and eating up more of my day. I thought I was just gonna be able to drop it off.
Also, it was a flat tire so I jacked it up and removed the tire but I was instructed by one of the salesmen from Zurich that I should have left the tire on and that somewhere in the coverage, I was covered for a towing service. But that’s insane. Thankfully, someone had the common sense that I could take a photo of the VIN Number and of the tire then put the picture together that this is the vehicle. I understand that some people are trying to fraud people but towing a car a quarter mile to a shop to plug a tire is ludicrous.
The work took a weekend and fortunately, I was going out-of-town and was not dependent upon my vehicle. I dropped it off on a Friday then I was able to pick it up first thing Monday morning then ride it home. The mechanic was able to put the tire back on my car. Then apparently, Zurich's portion of the claim was all taken care of before the work was even done. I just had to pay that $3 disposal fee when I picked up the tire that Monday. Paying $3 isn't that bad but at the same time, couldn't they cover $3 more?

My vehicle had like 40,000 miles and I decided to have an additional coverage just in case something occurred. I went with Zurich, and my vehicle service experience was okay. But I feel like that was wrong prior to me even purchasing it. My car ended up being serviced for a misfire, and I'm still having issues with it. I spoke to Zurich and they were like, “Well, just bring it back in when you get a chance.” I'm frustrated. And that was not my first time taking it to the service shop based on the same repair. The engine light wasn’t coming on every time I would go. And then finally, it was on the last time. But I had told the service shop the issues I was having prior to. So, they ended up contacting Zurich after I had. I kept taking it. It's 40 minutes away from the village, and I was going back-and-forth. And then finally, the last time I went, the engine light was on, so they were able to figure out the problem.
At the end, Zurich paid most of the portion of the claim. Still, I wouldn’t recommend because I didn’t receive a call from them at all. I thought they would call me prior to make sure it was me filing the claim. I didn’t speak to anyone. So, the dealership handled that portion of it, but I still feel like I should get a call on what I was gonna do and what was going on.

I just bought a new car and I made sure that I got the insurance for my 19-inch wheels which are pretty expensive. If something happens, I don’t want to be liable. I might as well get the insurance. It’s worth it. When my car was being repaired at Nissan, I waited for an hour and a half till they fixed the tire. One of the guys that worked there dirtied my car and my steering wheel was all greasy. I wasn’t too happy. But everything else went well. I didn’t have to pay anything. They put the claim in, got approved and it was all paid. I was able to get my paperwork and leave. I recommend Zurich. If they're not doing the service, I would not be satisfied. But they're doing a great job.

It was better to protect myself than not and I wanted a service contract because of my experience in the past. I got one from Zurich and their claims process was extremely easy. I took the car in for a problem and they told me that there was a problem with the rim. When I purchased the vehicle, I knew I have the additional coverage, so I told them that. They looked it up because I didn’t have it with me and they found it. Then they made the contact, did all the arrangement, and I did nothing. Then they said that my car was ready and that everything was taken care of, and I left. The coverage was above and beyond my expectations and my experience was wonderful.

Zurich was offered to me for $6 extra a month and the coverage I received for my vehicle repairs met my expectations. They paid their portion of the claim at the time that I got there. I was surprised that it worked so quickly 'cause I figured it was gonna be a long drawn out process. The day that it happened, they had it going and done within 3 hours. That helped me out quite a bit 'cause it was right before a holiday weekend.

Make sure you do not SIGN or AGREE to any warranty before you read the FINE PRINT. Have a Lawyer read the documents and if you're not sure tell the DEALER "NO". Other dealerships have stop using ZURICH. Consumers must be educated when signing docs and especially 3rd party warranties.

My vehicle service experience was awful because they, at first, told me I didn’t have any warranty. And then I had to wait for somebody to get there. And then I had waited for a while, then I left, and I just drove around the block, took a quick trip around the corner. The next thing I know, I had a complete flat tire. It was a bad experience. Thank God I was right next to the Kia place, so my husband took it around and told them that they needed to fix the tire because they actually put my tires inside out. The outside of the tire says, “Inside.” And they said it only really matters during weather. But my tires were on wrong, my AC wasn’t working, and my check engine light came on a couple of days ago. It randomly went off.
I just got the car but my AC wasn’t working. I didn’t have to use it for the while that I had it this couple of weeks. So, I had to take it in, and I had to pay $200. I was given a printout, and it said it was gonna be like 680 and that I was only gonna have to pay 200 for the deductible. But when I got the receipt, it was only gonna be like 5-something, and I’m paying 2-something of that, and Zurich was paying the rest. I was just confused why I had to pay anything seeing how I only had the car for a short time.

I filled it up with air right next to the house and by the time I got to work, it was back down. I've never had that happen before. It usually goes down while the car is parked, never while I'm driving. So I dropped it at Patrick BMW in Schaumburg. They called me back and they said that there was an actual hole in the tire. Very unhappy with Zurich NOT West Herr Ford! Purchased my pre owned Ford Mustang from Northtown Hyundai and purchased an extended warranty contract from Zurich. Had a issue with the satellite radio. Antenna Fault. Thinking the best place to get a repair was at a Ford Dealer so I took it to West Herr Ford. They were great went over the car as I asked them to do and found the problem with the satellite Radio. There was a broken cable from the radio to the antenna. When West Herr Ford called Zurich for approval to do the work Zurich only approved so many hours of work but not the number of hours the Ford Dealer needed to complete the work. The only option I had was to pay for the additional hours needed by the dealer to complete the work properly. So I’m Out over two hundred dollars out of my pocket. Why did I purchase a extended service contract if Zurich is going to nickel and dime every claim. I’m very disappointed with Zurich!!!!

So once, when both my back tires kept losing air, I took the car in and had them checked. I was told that there was something in one of the tires, and on the other one, the problem was around the valve stem, which then had to be replaced. I thought that it would all be covered but Zurich didn't cover the valve stem. Because of that, they only paid half of the whole job. It was $97 to do the two tires and I paid $38 for the valve plus labor of putting that in out of pocket.

I had purchased the vehicle service contract as part of my vehicle purchase from the dealership just over 2 years ago. Recently I had to have some work that was going to be significantly costly and the vehicle would not shift into gear. I took it back to the dealership I purchased it from (Within last 6 months the dealership changed names due to an acquisition). I had informed the dealership that I had coverage and was told during the sale to simply bring it back to the dealership and it would all be taken care of.
Being told that my service work will not be covered because there was no pre-authorization or having an adjuster come visit to see the work prior to approving. I have had warranties in the past and never heard of having to go through that especially when taking back to the selling dealership. The dealership even called Zurich to explain the situation and that THEY did not have the paperwork on file as they acquired another dealership and were still told no.
So I am out of pocket for the repairs as well as the initial "comprehensive" service warranty and each time I call Zurich they are reading from a script on how I simply did it all wrong and they will not cover it. When the 1st bullet on the letter they sent me states "Return your vehicle to the selling dealer OR call us immediately." So, Zurich is allowed to pick and choose criteria, but the paying customer is not.

Having the extra coverage and protection for the wheels, tires, windows, all the paint, and all that was a good deal for only a few dollars a month. One time, I spoke to Zurich because I was getting a lot of pushback from Toyota. I was really irritated because I called and told the dealership that I needed to get my wheel fixed and tried to schedule the appointment. They allowed it at first and then they called me to say that I needed to get authorization through Zurich first. So I told them that when I purchased the policy, I was told that they would do all that. Still, they told me that they weren’t gonna take my car.
I then called Zurich to make sure that I wasn’t crazy and the guy I spoke with was really good. He said that I absolutely do not need the authorization and the dealership is the one who should initiate and needs to go through any claim. He told me to tell them that and if that doesn't work then I should take my car to somebody else then Zurich would take care of me. So I called Toyota back and finally, they listened, and they were able to get it all covered. I had to take it back a week later to get the new wheel put on but it all ended up being fine. Although I got the hubcap not included within the warranty, which was weird, it wasn’t that much extra to replace. The coverage met my expectations for the repairs for the most part and I didn’t have a balance at all when I picked the car up.

I had a flat tire and the manufacturer, Pirelli, claims and says on their website that the tire cannot be repaired. I had a tire repaired at a local shop to get me back on the road, then after that was done, I called Pirelli USA and they said, “The tire can’t be fixed. It’s not safe.” I called Zurich to get my claim moving so I could have the dealer order me a tire. Zurich said, “Is there air in the tire?” I said, “Yes.” They said, “Well, then it’s fine.” And I said, “No. It wasn’t supposed to be repaired in the first place, but we didn’t know that at the time.” Zurich's rep took a bunch of notes and put it on my account. I called the dealer and the dealer said, “We’re just gonna order you a tire and we’ll deal with Zurich at the time.” And so, when we get the tire in, I called Zurich, and there was nothing, just, “Okay. Fix it. Here’s the credit card. Pay for the tire.” So, it was up and down experience, like a yo-yo.
The tire eventually got done. It was just a little bit frustrating when I was told that if it’s holding air, it’s fine. Because it was not fine. I’ve had a lot of bad luck but we got it done. Eventually, Pirelli replaced the tire but not without an argument. It’s a brand-new Pirelli tire. It’s full of noise-canceling foam, which I didn’t even know was on the car. The whole process took two weeks because the tires are not easy to find and not easy to get, although that’s not Zurich’s problem. This is my second flat tire in the six months I’ve had the car. The first one was a total tire failure and that was seamless, where the tire took a week. I called Zurich and they gave the dealer the credit card over the phone, and I was on my way. My experience with Zurich at first was real complicated and then it got uncomplicated because I got the dealer involved. At the end, Zurich met my expectations.

I purchased a 2018 Honda Civic from D-Patrick in Evansville, IN. When purchasing the car I added on the warranty service with Zurich, the 10 year/125k mile package. First. This was suppose to include three free oil changes. I take my car in for the first oil change this week since purchasing the vehicle. They said that it only applies to certain dealerships and that it won’t be covered at the Honda dealership I have it at now. It’s only $50 for the oil change. Not sure why it’s an issue but fine. Secondly and most frustrating. I hit a really nasty pothole that blew out both passenger tires. I will say that they did come through with the roadside assistance that paid for the tow truck to come get me, although I did have to wait 3 hours for it to get there. Apparently it took 2 hours to get it all approved before the driver of the tow truck was even contacted.
The next day, the two tires were replaced. The front rim was slightly bent and since the Honda service shop didn’t have one on hand, they simply moved it to the back since the car is front wheel drive. So overall they did nearly $400 of work. (Zurich covers 2500 for wheels and tires.) So by the time I can take it back to finish the repairs, the bent rim has already caused damage to the new tire. And they’re now telling me that three rims are bent from the pothole.
Overall this work will now be over the remaining $2100 coverage and I will have to pay another $750 on top of it to complete the repairs. Slightly frustrating since it wasn’t fixed properly the first time and this is considered to all be one case, which is why they’re only covering 2100 more on the bill. So I called their customer service to see if we can work something out, just to consider my options. This is when I had the worst customer service. The person I talked to on the phone was very unprofessional and actually hung up on me. Couldn’t believe it. Overall, the D-Patrick dealership has been the only service that has actually tried to be as helpful as possible. The service through Zurich has been extremely stressful and made the process last much longer than it should.

I bought the car and I had issues with it. I couldn't drive it back to the dealership so they had me take it somewhere else. When I got it to Chrysler down in the city, I had an issue with it. I told them that I had extra coverage put on that for any electrical component so I wouldn't have an issue. They never called Zurich but I called Zurich after the fact. My warranty was pending because I just bought the vehicle. I paid for the repair and faxed them all the information because they said that they were going to reimburse me the money, but I haven't received money back for that claim yet since December. At this point, I'm not satisfied with my experience with Zurich because it's March and I haven't heard from them.

Once at the dealership the code they got said it was the valve body. Zurich refused to pay for repairs. Instead wanted the dealership to completely drop the transmission and tear it apart to basically find a reason to not pay for the repairs. After my deductible the repair costs would have been around $700, they wanted them to tear apart my transmission and in the event they could get out of it I would be responsible for those repairs as well. I paid way more than $700 for the service contract. What a waste! Buyers beware! They will do anything to get out of paying a claim.

So in all, I am looking at $1000 or more on top of my $250 rental car deposit.

And living in the New England area, it never hurts to have tire insurance. I had an incident a couple of months ago and used Zurich's service. It is not easy to get the tire and I have the insurance. I called the dealership and they told me to bring the car right in. They said they'd probably take a day or two to get the tire. I was scheduled to go on a business trip, so as soon as I got to the dealership, the tire was in transit to the shop, so they ended up doing the service that day. They took my information and saw that I was insured. They fixed it and I was on my way.

About 6 months after the purchase of the car, we experienced a flat tire on I-95 - mind you these are $300 Continental tires that had very very low mileage on them. Zurich had no choice but to cover that tire. Fast Forward 2.5 years and we had another flat on a tire with about 9,000 miles on it - $300 Continental tire. My husband believes the tire is either defective or he hit something in the roadway. Of course, he was towed to Don Beyer and Zurich refused to cover the tire.
Zurich sent an"independent" investigator to inspect the tire which simply confirmed Zurich's position that the damage was caused by a curb hit, an exclusion. So Don Beyer wins this one because they got to charge us $400 to replace and do an alignment. Shame on Don Beyer for taking advantage of its customers by selling worthless insurance. It took four days during which we had to pay for our own loaner car as Zurich only pays AFTER the inspection has been completed. Zurich then gave us the choice of using a Ford transmission for an extra $1500 or use one they found. After the transmission was installed Zurich refused to pay for a portion of the labor as they said they only pay for x amount of hours for a transmission replacement. They also refused to pay for part of the inspection fee. They refused to pay for a bypass valve that their transmission manual absolutely requires.
The end result was that we paid $432 out of pocket for a transmission that we had a "warranty" on. I bought a 2011 Chevy Impala, and paid over $2,200.00 for a 100,000-mile warranty. Recently, the AC blower stopped blowing. The problem was caused by a connector on a wiring harness with a burnt pin. It also damaged a speed control module (they call it a "resistor", but it really isn't - it is a solid state circuit). The "resistor" is not covered by warranty, but the contract plainly states that wiring harnesses are covered. The person in claims refused to cover it, saying the "resistor" caused the problem. I am an electronic technician myself, and believe me, I KNOW the problem was caused by the connector which was part of the wiring harness. It cost me almost $400.00 for repairs at the dealer. Their warranty is a SCAM!

My husband noticed this winter that our white CRV coloring on part of the bumpers was more yellow than the rest of the car. He contacted Zurich this morning to file a complaint and was asked when he noticed and told her within the last 6 months. Only response was "Sorry, you need to report within 30 days of finding. We can't help you." That is a very expensive service I have put on this vehicle and a 2013 Honda Accord. Have complained to dealership and they are looking in to it, but I guarantee you, I will NEVER purchase your product again - that is poor customer service and you are looking for a reason to not warrant your product!

I purchased a bumper to bumper, full coverage vehicle extended warranty from my local Ford dealership. Upon attempting to get coverage for my vehicle, I was denied coverage and my contract has been cancelled due to the fact that my adjuster has classified my pickup truck to be an Ambulance. I am a Volunteer EMT with a local town service, they have stated that based on their criteria "ANY" vehicle that I drive is considered to be an emergency vehicle, because I may have to use the vehicle to go to my job. I am out 2500 bucks due to this gross negligence and broken system at Zurich. The company is a fraud, I have had several repairs on my vehicles done in the past and none have ever voided a contract or been denied coverage.

I purchased an all inclusive bumper-to-bumper extended warranty for my vehicle. Upon needing it serviced, I am getting the run-around and they are trying to get out from under the warranty on minor repairs. Rather than authorizing repair work at a Chevy dealership, they are insisting on sending out an inspector which could take up to two days before work will begin. They are claiming that since I own my own business and my vehicle is in my company's name, then the warranty may be void. I am the sole driver of my vehicle and was previously told that the name it was registered under would not be an issue. I am without a vehicle for a minimum of 3 days for what should have been a one-day repair. I won't know if they are going to cover repairs for at least a day and a half. I may be out the $1990 I spent on the warranty with no coverage.
