Well are gets worse each year, less coverage, things that were covered no longer covered, soon it will be dwindled down to nothing. And changing the Spendables card to the WellCare rewards was the absolute worse thing, first the Spendables went from $84 which was great because I’m disabled so I could pay mine and my kids phone bills with it or use it towards rent or utilities, then it was cut to $58 and I still used it towards rent or utilities but now they have completely taken that away and gave us the WellCare rewards which is money but you can’t use it for anything but over the counter medication, medical supplies (which insurance covers already). I already take over 10 medications from the pharmacy, do you think I need over the counter medicine regularly, no, so I have $75 in wellcare rewards that I can’t use because it doesn’t pay for anything I need.

I would be ok if it paid for laundry detergent or something for the household or feminine products that I use but there is absolutely nothing I can use that money on so it will sit there and disappear at the end of the year when it could have really benefit me in some way. Things are getting more expensive, life is getting a lot harder and WellCare takes more and more each year and makes life that much more stressful and hard every time they do. Not to mention having 3 back surgeries with hardware and having injections denied time and time again.

Happy new year 2026 and new with this company that my company said had better ratings than Cigna. B.S.! They have already decided to "deny" coverage for my Qulipta that I've been on for one year for daily migraine prevention. This medication works in conjunction with botox and nerve block treatments every 3 months. On Friday, Feb 20, 2026, my pharmacy received a phone call from my Doctor's office asking them to call me to have me call them. Huh? I found out that Wellcare called the Doctor's clinic and they called the pharmacy who asked them to have me call the doctor's office. What a run around of a mess. Then I called my doctor and their office had already closed 3 minutes ago. So I called Wellcare and spoke to Luna who told me that my Qulipta was denied and they wanted me to take one of two injections. Are you kidding me?

I explained that I have been suffering with migraines since the age of 12 due to childhood trauma to blows to the head, sexual and physical abuse, and domestic violence. (fyi, I'm healed now, and life is amazing!) She asked if I wanted to file an Appeal. "Absolutely" I said. And she took my Appeal as I thought. She said that she was sending it back to my doctor who "needs to respond to my submission of appeal and add his request for appeal supporting my request for Qulipta." I verified that she was sending it via electronically. And she said to call my doctor to follow up with the appeal. Okay. Right? Wrong! I left message first thing Monday for my doctor and followed up today, Wednesday, Feb 25, 2026 and my doctor's office did not receive my appeal, however, they did receive the denial, and will have my doctor call me to talk to me about all of it.

I then called Wellcare and find out that my Appeal was NOT filed. And now I'm told, "Your doctor can file an appeal on Wellcare's website." At that point, I was so frustrated, I said, "I'm done! Good bye." And hung up. When I initially signed up with this company through the School of Pharmacy Part D Medicare Program, ALL of my prescriptions showed that they would be covered in 2026 including Supplements that are taken with exceptions due to health reasons.

Now I'm having to spin my wheels getting denials for coverage and my pharmacy and doctor's are having to spend time filling out Prior Authorizations (Appeals). All of this is nonsense and a waste of time. These insurance companies are dictating what is best for patients, which is ludicrous! Okay, I've vented enough. Next year, I'll be sure to do some diligence before Open Enrollment 2027. Blessing of good health to you!

Couldn't find someone to pay over the phone or online. So I just mailed the check via snail mail. Now, they email me claiming that Medicare informed them that I MAY have changed my address? I called the customer service number ( which is NOT on that email they sent, you have to find your card and call that phone number, really?), and of course long wait times. Once I got a representative on the phone, she said, "Thanks for confirming my address." When I asked about the email, she didn't really understand and I asked if Medicare notified them that I may have changed my email, she was very vague. Well, this is completely untrue!! No charges, as was with Aetna in 2024, although they were a bit picky on who I could buy from. Then I received a payment book for 2026 that I wasn't expecting. After talking to my agent, I decided that instead of getting fined for the rest of my life for dropping Wellcare, I'd just go ahead and pay the annual premium and drop them for something else in October. I have spent weeks trying to get hold of someone who knows how to take a payment over the phone, or how to pay annually online. When I bypassed their robot on the phone and was told i would be connected to a customer rep, after waiting 5 minutes I was told that the waiting time would be 52 minutes???.

I just want to pay this and be done with it! And now it seems they're charging me $10 over my monthly premium because their system is so bad I can't make the full annual payment. This is one of the worst corporate train wrecks I've ever dealt with. They should not be allowed to partner with Medicare if they aren't able to serve their customers. Especially when they've started scalping customers and adding late fees to those charges even though they can't perform their duties.

The plan offers Medical, prescriptions, and dental. There is no cost for medical and prescription. Dental is offered at low cost. When we canceled, no premium was charged for 2025. In January of 2026 a premium was charged to our checking account via automatic withdrawal. When I called to inquire why, I was connected to the Philippines for resolution. I spoke to 3 different people, last one who's name was Z. Z told me he could not cancel my coverage but said he would send me request to withdraw letter for me to sign. This was on January 22nd. I never received this form.

I told him I wanted to be transferred to the U.S. office in Tampa FL. I called and was was transferred two times before I got the proper department on the 3rd try and spoke to Stephanie. She said I could not cancel, but mail a form requesting withdrawal. She also said I would receive call within 48 hrs. Both did not happen.

Yesterday received a call and after explaining the whole thing to the representative he said he would email me a letter of withdrawal. No letter. My Medicare broker (Medicare School) had a list of drugs from me in November. We reviewed all providers and I made a bad mistake trusting the numbers he showed me I would pay after my deductible. He either was misinformed by WellCare or? All I can say is it’s the middle of January, their app never worked and finally today they told me (from a call center in another country) that the app is not available nor will it be. The website is tedious at best and requires constant security keys yet I can go to my bank, Fidelity, Vanguard or Blueshield and find everything. Not at WellCare. The 25 percent coinsurance is a scam as it’s tied to an inflated retail price. CVS claims a generic drug that is 28 years old retails for 900 dollars and I paid 93.00 and after my 600 deductible it will be 27.00 but that’s not true. She lied. The retail price at cvs changes each month based on the suplplier. Do not use WellCare.

My broker claimed most of my drugs would be zero and I saved a screen shot but that’s a lie as there is a 25 percent coinsurance on drugs. At blue shield which is no better than the mafia, the drug cost me five to six dollars a month. The call center people are not in the US. WellCare is based in Florida but the language barrier (unless they use Ai which I doubt as they are too cheap to invest in an app like their competitors) makes calling them a waste of time. They have broken English, mispronounce simple words and I just spent 30 minutes asking what is my cost after I meet the deductible. Useless. They have terrible customer service and are a third rate provider that cares about profits and not clients. Avoid WellCare. Do not be fooled by low premiums. Pay more elsewhere - WellCare is a terrible provider and should be shut down for misleading clients and having incompetent service people on the phones.

I initially applied for Rx plans, but called to cancel application almost immediately afterwards when I understood I couldn't have 2 plans. I wanted to ensure I kept my AARP PATRIOT NO RX PLAN. [I am a 100% DAV, 1st year Medicare, and get free meds from VA]. I contacted Medicare.gov chat who said to go to provider then called same day of application to try and cancel application with WellCare. I called wellcare Nov 29 and Dec 1. I was told by reps they couldn't cancel the application, but since my permanent address was incomplete they would never approve the plan and I was assured the plan application would end up with a denial letter. I could tell by these customer service calls their quality of care was substandard and insincere.

The other plan I applied for, AARP PATRIOT NO RX, was approved and just waiting for the new year to start for coverage to begin. I got my coverage card and everything. Today 8 Jan 2026 I logged into my UHC plan to check it out and everything was blank. I logged into medicare.gov website to see if anything showed up there. My UHC plan and info was gone and Wellcare plan D was there; the plan that should never have been approved with the cancel application request. Wellcare apparently pushed my application at the last minute to push out my other approved plan. I read comments from others and this seems to be a Wellcare tactic. Of note, Wellcare rep in Nov/Dec 2025 said my plan wouldn't get approved anyway because my physical address wasn't valid. (I live in an unaddressed part of the nation).

When I spoke with Rep today 08 Jan 2026 I was asked questions to see if I qualified to cancel under special time period rules. ...First question was if I moved outside of service area in a recent time period. I asked them to verify my physical address and they could not. Even though they did not have my physical address they still pushed the application. During today's phone call I received all sorts of warnings of late fees and consequences for trying to cancel a plan outside of the enrollment period (despite having taken care of everything during enrollment period). Hands down, worst customer service. If they are this bad with the application and initial trust issues how do you think they will be with claims?

Do not waste your time with them. They are not affordable. They just increase the out-of-pocket expenses for life-saving medications for my wife after two years of us being there. Then claim that we weren't enrolled in a certain program. Ben said that the tier level that we were on could be increased. But we have to call Social Security to get an application. Which we all know will take about 6 months for that to happen. And in the meantime we are now stuck trying to figure out how to get her medications for this month.

Dentist confirmed decay and I also appealed on age of cap (avg lifespan 5-15 years according to .edu dental websites which I included in my appeal). I paid dentist in full and sought reimbursement. Got runaround on address to send appeal/grievance to. Whenever I called about appeal, agents told me to send to MO, then to CA and when I said I'd done that, they said to send to OR Wellcare by Trillium (different company).

One agent stayed on the phone with me for 90 minutes (multiple 5+ minute holds) while we got bounced among agents, again directing me to re-send paperwork to MO and CA offices. At least 2 agents filed grievances on my behalf. I spent 15-20 hours on the phone with this claim. Case in point, I was on the phone with Wellcare representatives for more than 3 hours on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 where their representatives acknowledged that a policy written for my 79 year old mother with dementia was obtained illegally through a third party agent, yet they are opting to allow the enrollment to continue and are forcing my family to initiate legal action against them, instead of simply cancelling the 41.00 monthly premium, which causes hardship to my mother who has a very meager social security check. The irony in all of this is Wellcare can't get around the illegality of the policy, yet feel as if they have the right to force a policy that we didn't ask for down our throats, are we in Russia? We are asking for an outright cancellation of the policy.

The options they suggested ie a patch would not work for me since I am extremely active. Probably because the man behind the desk can't comprehend an active 65 year old woman. I'm sure he would approve a little blue pill for himself even though he no longer can produce children. So I will have to find a way to pay for my medication myself. Useless company.

My share of each prescription filled is enough to have left me paying about $2000 out of pocket by June. In April authorization for a prescription that had been covered throughout the rest of the year was denied, without notice. My first indication that the prescription was not covered was when I went to the pharmacy to pick it up. I appealed, and the drug is covered again, but I was left paying over $400 for one prescription out of pocket, reimbursement is comically difficult, and the cost doesn't count toward my out of pocket for the year.

Early in the year I assumed the high cost of each prescription was due to meeting my deductible, it was not. I continue to pay just under $100 for every prescription I fill. So far this month $85 for one, $91 for another, and $72 for a third prescription, in the first 10 days of the month. I thought Medicare rules would protect me from being scammed by a prescription drug program for Medicare, I was so wrong. Promised to call me and before hanging up I made certain to ask for the 3-4 time is everything documented, yes I was told again.

26th came and by 8pm no telephone call from Judy no any other from WellCare. I called back and once a different representative on with me, the first thing I asked was anything documented in the computer from the situation from last night? I stated if nothing's there I’m gonna lose my mind repeating everything darn thing all over again. She takes a look, ask can she put me on hold for a couple minutes BTW another bad habit they have. Once she came back exactly what I knew would happen, not a darn thing documented at. Just know each time these representatives states everything is documented, it’s a lie, this not my first rodeo experiencing this telling customers that.

Therefore I had to start all over again, this call lasted approximately an hour. If these reps were fully trained properly and knew their jobs no calls should never last that long, I’m not gonna further this portion any longer I’m moving onto why I called in the first place and what both reps tried telling me.BTW I gotten hung up on while the rep was so called on with CVS.

Yes I had to call back, third rep now, after me verifying myself, I asked her to check to see what this rep document, when I was ask did I move because they had up a change of address😡 Address change was not even close to my problem and not once discussed, of course I’m full of rage, she had to put back whatever that darn rep did then stated something about my prescription and thank god it was shortened and stated I was being transferred over to the pharmacy supervisor.. I said amen hopefully someone with common sense that knows their job. Through days of crap here was the darn problem none of them could comprehend, lied and inaccurate information given all during.

My prescription for my ** were picked up at my local CVS March 19th. I get a 90 day supply each time. That day I was only given a 60 day supply, I asked the pharmacy tech where were the remainder? Was given bull crap not accurate info and was not leaving until it was fixed. Tried telling me that’s what my doctor written it for, lies because my doctor has never written for that and I read the script prior to her sending it. Then comes back to inform me whomever filled it miscounted, gave me the bag of pods with the same qty as if I’m stupid, yes I informed him he didn’t fix anything. Finally I was told that’s how many came in when they ordered them and the rest will be in next day the 20th. I asked why didn’t you wait until they all came in? I was so livid I demanded my pods be in and will come back to pickup the balance owed.

I waited and waited for a text stating prescription ready for pickup, that text is how I knew any medications are ready. Strange how I received one on the 19th only got it’s too soon to fill? I was puzzled on how my balance of 3 boxes is too soon to fill? I didn’t think anything of it. I happen to look into my medication history Express Scripts keeps, they have records of every medication filled and paid claims by WellCare.

When it stated CVS billed WellCare and was paid for a 90 day supply I did not get. I received a 60 day supply not 90 day. This was my main reasoning for contacting WellCare customer service. A pharmacy getting paid for a quantity the customer did not get. That is not supposed to happen and CVS put another claim in on the 20th for another 90 day supply and was rejected. For one why did they try and process another 90 day supply? Instead it was supposed to be the balance only 3 boxes, but that didn’t need to be imputed because the 90 day claim was already paid, all they needed to do is text me like always ready for pickup.

None of those reps comprehended none of this and pretty pathetic how a customer trying to make sure they’re not trying to get away with this. Through all this they tried telling me a PA was needed? Then tried stating it’s the quality limit 60 days? Both were a croak of crap. Five years my doctor knows what the heck she’s doing. 2 years been getting 90 day supplies with all my medications that’s eligibility for. I’m disabled and don’t have transportation to keep bum rides to pharmacies and as bad as Express Scripts suck I’d never transfer all my meds to them.

Now when WellCare pharmacy supervisor took over, she fixed it by calling CVS, but she did agree they did owe me the balance especially if the full 90 was paid. Seems she didn’t see a problem with it after she comes back to inform me CVS had the rest already there waiting to be picked up, that was a stone cold lie, then why didn’t I receive any text and why did I call CVS myself the same night prior to my calling back after I was hung up on, left a message for them to fill the remainder of my prescription. Their solution always is to maybe use another pharmacy. Guess I’ll think twice before thinking I’m doing the right thing and doing their darn jobs. No thank you or appreciate this, nothing. Won’t be a next time for sure. Now make all this make sense.

Do not be fooled by the $3.00 per month for Medicare part D prescription drug coverage. The prescription drug costs are outrageous: greater than $2,000.00. Some swindler thought up a formula to fool the user with the low monthly cost and then sticking it to them with the high out of pocket prescription drug costs. They keep changing their formulary, I guess it's based on who is cheaper on their part this month. They changed my prescription for insulin (again), my dr. prescribed the new insulin. The pharmacy said it was unavailable, maybe in 2 weeks they can get some. The pharmacy tried to run my previous script, it was denied by WellCare. I contact WellCare, the first agent couldn't find my account, then she said I called the wrong provider, she gave me the phone number for the correct provider.

The new phone number was the same as the first call. The second agent told me that insulin is not covered under my plan, it was covered by Medicare. I knew better but I called Medicare and was told what I already knew, Medicare does not cover it. I was told to call WellCare and speak to a supervisor only. At first, the supervisor started to say the same as the second agent but backed up after I spoke to him in the manner that I know I am covered by Wellcare. The supervisor asked how much insulin I had left, less than 7 days or more than 7 days.

The WellCare supervisor said he would contact the complaint committee or similar BUT it will take 24 hours for them to reply and that started on Monday being that this call was started on a Friday afternoon. This may take up to 2 weeks to confirm coverage for an available insulin. I told the supervisor the insulin I had been prescribed which they forced me to take on the first change in insulin due to their formulary was available but WellCare denied coverage. All he could say is that's not in their formulary. I asked why did they recommend this medication if it's not available, all I could get from him is let's try this new idea for approval but that will be at least 4-5 days, we will go from there.

The reason it is in shortage is because WellCare has told all of us diabetics we must use this new insulin. This changing the insulin formulary is probably to benefit someone that owns the company or to benefit the stockholders of this new insulin company, maybe I should of bought stock in this insulin company, business is booming for them after WellCare forced diabetics into this formulary. How can I add a receipt TO verify myself as a buyer if I can't obtain the insulin to get a receipt

I see now I am probably wasting my time but I want to let people know what to expect from this provider. It's sad to think they represent a Medicare drug plan. I truly believe this is all a bit fishy and needs to be investigated.

I have to inform you sincerely that thus far, starting from October 2024 till present, this has been a truly horrible experience, and I have yet to fill a prescription!! Since I joined, I requested that the monthly fee be deducted from my Social Security payment as I did with the previous plan. I followed up in late December and was told that it may take up to 90 days for it to happen. (Not a good start). I followed up in January and was told the same, meanwhile I never ever miss a payment, therefore and I sent a payment way ahead of time to ensure that I have done my part.

After numerous phone calls, and hours being on the phone, I found out that I was getting double dipped. I was sending a payment and Social Security had already deducted the same fee for January also. Keep in mind that all along I was told that the auto payment had not taken place as of yet. I had sent another check for February. After more phone calls, I asked that I need to be refunded and even though I had stated that I was getting double billed they still cashed my check for February.

I have had it, I can longer proceed in this fashion with a company which obviously does not care about their customers yet steals senior citizens' money in the interim and never gets back to me. I sincerely hope that you may have a solution for this, or I will have no choice but to contact the Attorney General's Office for gouging senior citizens, including the BBB, and I will make it a mission to spread this all over the internet. The sum is petty; however the customer service is beyond absurd and not acceptable.

I hit on a very awkward set of circumstances. My PCP referred me to a neurologist but then left the practice so I have no PCP at this time. The neurologist ordered tests that Wellcare refused, but when I called Wellcare to appeal, the representative claimed they had not received any request for the test and had not denied it. The imaging facility confirmed Wellcare had denied the test. It is the typical medical insurance game. Deny, deny that you denied, and cause delays in your treatment so you die before they have to spend real money.

The company offers services it cannot provide. When facing staffing issues, it is the customer who suffers. The company then falsified reasons to justify its inability to provide stated services. First, a nurse, Nancy, visited without confirming or giving notification of her plan v to visit. Nancy became upset because no one was at home when she arrived. Before this visit, Nancy, RN, went to a neighbor's house instead of coming to the correct address. This was counted as a missed visit. I mentioned these events because I was told because unanswered and missed visits are reasons visit for cleaning/grooming my mother was decreased from 3 to 2 times a week. In January 2025, my entire household became ill, suffering with flu-like symptoms. I limited traffic coming into our home. During that same period, WellCare had an aide on leave, vacation, and another not available to work because he/she was out sick.

I was told service days would change from three to two days a week due to decreased staffing. Again, in February, an aide went on leave. I was understanding of the company having insufficient staffing and having to rearrange my service dates and frequency. However, the aide reported that I was unhappy about the changes being made. This was not true. I voiced my opinion that the 3 service days/week should not be Tue./Wed./Thursday. or back to back. Also, if I would groom my mother on days the company had scheduled for her services, this somehow created conflict. Every week, the service days changed. Although I could not always accommodate their scheduling changes and staffing issue, I tried. When notified of a scheduled visit and I had groom my mother, I would call/text to let the aide know his/her service was not required that day. This is when the decision to discharge my mother from hospice services was made by the company.

My mother suffers from Alzheimer's/Dementia and had falls in Nov and Dec. 2024. She did not have any fractures from the falls for which we are grateful. I agree that my mother is not physically declining rapidly. In fact, her mental status although greatly diminished seemingly has come to a standstill. Discharge her from hospice care because she is not physically declining, but do not say missed visits were due to non-compliance on the caregiver behalf.

Received a call from Raja from "Medicare Advocates" very insistent that her company could place me with a better plan than Aetna. I detailed how difficult it is to get medical/dental care in rural Pennsylvania, there is a lack of doctors and Dentists, explained that what I really need is dental care immediately. Told her that if she could find a dentist in an oral surgeon that would accept the insurance then I would switch.

She called me back and gave me the names, said she verified the insurance was accepted by both providers. So I switched. She also told me that my primary care position was included in their plan. I called the dentist and the oral surgeon and neither one accepts their insurance. 10 days after signing up received a notice from AllLies/NOTWELL stating that my primary care physician is not in their network and they have assigned me a new physician in a different city.

A big selling point that she kept pushing was their $192 a month spendables card. Turns out in my area the only place you can use. It is Walmart CVS and Walgreens. It’s supposed to buy gasoline, but the stations that accept their card guess what none of them are in my area. Also said, "You could use to pay your Internet or cable bill", guess what? My cable company doesn’t accept their card. She said, "You could use it to pay for auto repair", guess what - that’s a total lie. The only place I can use it is Walmart, I can’t use it nor do I need it to pay for prescription medication so there’s no point in going to CVS or Walgreens.

After doing some checking around, it turns out that Medicare advocates the company she works for is just a broker for AllWell, that’s all they sell, they don’t have a list of medicare advantage companies to choose from just AllWell. Don’t bother to sign up for this insurance, no doctors want to take it cause apparently they don’t pay very much to the doctors so none of them want to lose money taking out a new patient so they don’t take their insurance. For 10 years I buy the cheapest Part D drug plan to keep that Part D alive as required by Medicare. At the end of 2023 I noticed Wellcare Part D for $4.50 for the entire year, so I joined it. I needed a generic ** for a hip replacement in May of 2024. Their favored pharmacy told me with that insurance it would cost over $100 for 200mg 30 capsules. I was blown away. I went to Goodrx and signed up for their gold for a free month. The cost for the exact same prescription was $11.79. For $10/month I figured I would stay with Good RX gold.

I called Wellcare beginning of November to quit after trying to cancel on their website where I could not find a way to cancel because it does not exist. I could not understand the person on the phone and I believed they were going to cancel. At the end of the year I got a bill for $108.80, so on December 30, 2024 I did a chat with them and they said I could not cancel. I called them on 1/15/2025 after getting another bill and they said they would send me a form for a special disenrollment. I probably won't get it. I am going to call medicare at 800-633-4227 tomorrow and tell them I have another drug plan and that Wellcare sucks and they will get no money from me and they should be removed from the medicare approved list for being scammers.

SPECIAL ENROLLMENT PERIOD: 12.23.2024 I enrolled in Medicare Part D and selected Wellcare. I have spent several hours on the phone with various representatives (9 in total) at Wellcare, 01.08.2024 and 01.14.2024. I was bounced around from to a noisy call center in the Philippines to various other departments. I received a letter dated 01.02.2025 on 01.13.2025 stating that I was declined. The reason given was that I had enrolled outside of the open enrollment period. Not true. This was WellCare's error since I was enrolling under a "Special Enrollment Period", my major medical and drug coverage ended on 12.31.2024 through my employer.

The only option they gave me was to submit a new application which would then make the coverage effective 02.01.2025. Since they had declined coverage as enrollment "outside of open enrollment" and this was their error I stated that they needed to correct their mistake and that I shouldn't be the one who is penalized for their error.

I am eligible under "Special Enrollment" per Medicare because I had full coverage till the end of the year and Part B would begin 01.01.2025. Due to the ineptness of this organization, I contacted another company and an application has been submitted through them, with an effective date of 02.01.2025. What do I want? I would strongly advise Medicare to NOT renew their contract with Wellcare, no one should have to deal with scripted responses, multiple transfers and several wasted hours with the final result being unsatisfactory. If a company makes a human or algorithmic error they should be responsible enough to rectify the situation.

The "customer service" for WellCare Part D prescription drug plan is worthless. You can waste hours talking to someone in a foreign land who barely speaks English and has no power to do anything to help you. They lie to you and never do anything they say they will. Drugs that are supposed to be covered are denied, and they deny prior authorization for no reason. Their website is lousy, doesn't work much of the time. This is a dishonest company. Low premium, yes, but I guess you get what you pay for - Pay nothing, get nothing but a lot of frustration and wasted time.

This has got to be one of the WORST healthcare plans EVER! My issue was with their Spendables card which when I signed up stated that not only were OTC items like healthcare items provided, but so was a grocery allowance. I went in to my spendables account and what they told me was a LIE, a BLATANT LIE. There are no food items provided. So I go online to talk to their customer service which God only knows where this place is located because you can't understand them nor do they understand you. These plans I truly believe make it so trying to get anything done is nothing but frustrating. Reliable? No, they aren't. I don't recommend Wellcare Allwell to anyone, avoid this like the plague. I told the operator I just want to cancel out my plan and it was like talking to the wall! If I could give them no stars, believe me I would.

Shortly after paying the December payment, I received a notice that my January premium would be $38.70 per month going forward. That is a 1,045 percent increase in 30 days!!! And their customer representative said that was normal because expenses go up. Let me repeat this…1,045 percent in thirty days!! How does Medicare allow this company to be a part of the drug plan program?

I had to move to Medicare last year because I am now a senior. Wellcare is my Medicare prescription drug plan. They do their best to place just about every drug above a tier 3 and some a tier 5. Meaning the all drugs are very expensive. I find the drugs much cheaper with a Good RX card. When you appeal for a lower tier on the Wellcare drug plan, again they do their best to deny a lower tier. I have an important drug that is saving my life and it is called Humira. I have been on the drug since 2008. In the year 2025 Wellcare has decided not to cover the drug and they told me to find another drug. I will not do that because Humira is a drug that is preventing my Crohns Disease from coming back.

I have had 3 major surgeries and I have lost a great deal of my small intestine. The drug has been working and I am not going to change a drug that I know works. I cannot afford another small intestine surgery. Wellcare is a horrible company. If I could give zero stars I would do that. Please do not select this company as your Medicare drug plan.

Do not use this provider. I sent in my forms to bet coverage for next year. A couple weeks ago I called to check on my coverage. I asked them if my coverage would change. They said no. And that I would have the same coverage as this year. No deductibles or premiums. But I got a letter today saying they were changing my plan to one with $2000.00 deductible and a $24.00 a month premium. When I told them I don't want their coverage anymore. They told me it was too late to cancel my coverage plan. I insisted in talking to a manager. They were not good at explaining anything. But it seems I will have to jump through all kinds of hoops now to get disenrolled. And if I don't want to be charged for next month, I need to disenroll before the end of the month. But you can't do it online.

They have to send me a form to fill out and send back with my signature on it. That's funny, they did not need anything signed by me to get enrolled in the first place. Today is December 26th. There is no way that form will arrive in time for me to fill it out and send back by the 31st!! Once they get their claws into your pocketbook they don't want to let go!!!!

It's my third year with Wellcare. My premium started with $8.00. Next year it was raised to $20. While this year it has gone to $29 quite an upward trajectory. As for the the OTC benefits the first year it was $750, next year it got reduced to $540 while this year it has fallen to $340. Moreover, in the previous years, balance rolled over to the next month and only expired at the end of the year. Now, the puny amount of $85 per quarter will expire at the end of each quarter. Other than these, every other benefit has been lowered while the cost has been raised. Thank You Wellcare. Adios. This is going to be my LAST year with you. I only hope if everyone looks into their benefits and costs as compared to previous year.

Simply awful customer service. Shame on us for signing up for another year. For some inexplicable reason, they changed the spelling of my first name on my member card for 2025. We called to get it corrected. It took over an hour, going through 3 level of representatives -- for a simply spelling correction of my first name. Previous experiences, while more complicated, were similarly frustrating. Tier 1 support is obviously overseas, they are difficult to understand, and if reading their scripts don't answer your question, they have either no problem solving skills and/or authority. We had to threaten to hang up before they offered to transfer us to a "supervisor." The third level rep told us that we can ask for a US-based representative in future calls.

I have asked them to stop calling, but they keep doing so. This week, they called back three times. But when I want to call them for any reason, they are impossible to reach. Since it is the end of the year, I have switched to another Part D provider. Goodbye forever, WellCare. Provider, heal thyself.

Not sure why I'm being told it is now removed each time if it was removed the first time???? Months later, it's still on file. Told plan would cancel in June 2024 if no payment, advised WellCare to go ahead and cancel, not using. Told cancelled. Mother being billed each month, with bill now almost $800. Keep getting notices of non-payment and cancellation date keeps getting extended for some reason with each subsequent bill. Keep getting put on hold, then comes back on line each time, recites same verbiage, refuses to answer questions regarding bill and cancellation we were told was cancelled last year.

Said send in Power of Attorney (POA) to discuss, won't discuss with mother present despite it being her account, then says cannot accept POW the next day. Says will have manager call next day, never get a phone call. They are worse than Comcast ten years ago if you guys remember their historic customer service. Being nice doesn't matter on the phone. It's open enrollment period and WellCare came up as one of 3 preferred plans for me in 2025. My husband has been a member for several years, so instead of calling the Wellcare salespeople who wouldn't know the answer to my question anyway, I used my husband's card to call in to the real personnel that I will have to work with. My question concerned some of my drugs that weren't covered and how easy it is to manage their prior authorization process. Ashley, in S.C. is an Escalation Supervisor who was extremely helpful and answered all my questions.

I was very concerned because of all the 1* reviews on this website. I had no trouble at all getting through to them and I wonder if the people who have written negative reviews, are dealing with the first customer service rep they get in the Philippines. He was helpful, but was giving me bad information and was hard to understand. All I did was ask to be transferred to an escalation supervisor and voila! all my questions were answered. Also, the supervisors are in the U.S. and there is no language barrier. She had all the information on her computer and was able to advise me knowledgeably about their plans. Next time you are having trouble with CSR who answered the phone in a foreign country, ask to speak to a supervisor and I'll bet your opinion will change.
