United American is good. It’s just aggravating to get a lot of bills. I don't like that portion. It used to be 2,300 and now they went up to 2,700. So, I'm not happy about that. It's ridiculous. Every year, the deductible has been changing.

I've been happy with United American. My husband used it when he was ill. He has since passed away. This is the second time I'm using it. I fell and hurt my legs. I have round-the-clock care. It was along with my Medicare and it works. I'm very satisfied.

United American covers everything that Medicare pays for and my experience with them has been very good. Last week, I used them for a hospital stay and they covered everything.

I have supplemental medical insurance with United American and it has been seamless. It's one of your best options if you can afford it. But it would be nice if it had a drug component. Yesterday, I had prescriptions that were not covered by Medicare and United American does not pick up the charge for that.

The application process was easy. My insurance agent presented it to me. United American have always been real good about paying. Anything Medicare paid for, they picked up. I don't have to pay doctor visits either.

United American is great. I had open-heart surgery and I had nasopharyngeal cancer, which is not good. I had 35 radiation treatments. My insurance company paid most of it, and I can't complain. Their reps have always been very good. You don't have to wait an hour and listen to music.They've never kept me on hold, they've always answered my questions, and they've always covered. I was never sick until I got the cancer. I'm not one to get sick but when I did get sick and when I had questions, they answered them. Every person I talked to was as nice as can be.

I've been very satisfied with United American, thus far. They're very punctual with statements and payments and I have no problem with them at all. The rates are fair and equitable. Their service is good. Their follow-up was decent. And even when I've had problems and had to call customer service, they were able to rectify everything I had a problem with. I've recommended them to several people. I've been very pleased.

I've always recommended United American. I got it originally through a gal that lived where I live and she was in the insurance. She arranged the policy years and years ago because she said it was the best. And she was right. I like United American. It's fine.

I have a high deductible policy. The rates have been most reasonable. When I signed up for the policy, it looked like I made a lifetime decision because their pricing and the quality of service far outpaced their competition that I was aware of at that point in time. I've had no dissatisfaction since. They work very well with Medicare. Medicare submits to them electronically and I've never had a problem. It's never been smoother in my entire life that I’ve been with Medicare and United American. They're both highly competent and their pricing is good.

The service has been excellent. They give regular statements every month so I know exactly what's happening and if there is any discrepancy or any comments they wanna make, I can look at the code and figure out what's going on. So far, they have always paid their share of it without any question and I have never had to do any calling. It has always gone smoothly, thank God, because that's not usual nowadays. The only thing is I wish the premium was kept at one level, but I know they can't really do that.

United American is a good company and there are no hassles. I have never had a problem that I've had to confront them with over the phone. They were highly recommended by my agent who uses them and other people who use them as well, and I feel like I made a good decision. It's a secondary medical insurance over and above Medicare, and the claim submission process works good. I've had tremendous medical bills this year with a problem that set in, and I haven't had to do anything to make it work. It’s done well.

United American insurance is a good way to deal with my supplemental insurance program. They manage to pay most everything that I need. There was only one time that I ever had to call them. Recently, I had knee replacement surgery, and I was going to physical therapy. They balked about a physical therapy bill. Apparently, the people at the physical therapy place didn't code it correctly and sent it in. I had to call the physical therapy, and they coded it properly. United American's taking care of it.

When I signed up for Medicare, I went with United American Insurance because at that point, they had the Plan F. I'm happy with them and I'd recommend them.

I've had United American through thick and thin. We didn't change the provider and just kept going year after year. They are a proven part of what we depend on. I don't look to improve something that doesn't need improving. I would recommend them.

Their customer service has been very good. I get an explanation of benefits or the little paper frequently, more often than Medicare. The government sends me stuff so I can keep up with it. Communication has been very good. I've had a very good relationship with them over the years. I've stressed them this year. I've had several medical problems. My claims have all been taken care of through doctor's offices or hospitals or wherever I go.

I went to a lady that everybody from work knew who deals with Medicare and I signed up with United American. I had issues with them at one point not wanting to pay for a lab thing, but that was more because the doctor's office didn't get the right requirements. It finally got resolved about a week ago. One of the girls from United American didn't give me the right information. So, maybe they need to make sure all their people are totally knowledgeable. But the last two girls I talked to were good. People should go with United American.

I've had them for several years and it's always been excellent service. Very fast, too. They've covered exactly what they're supposed to cover. Whatever Medicare approves, they cover the other 20%. It has a deductible and once you meet that, they then cover everything. I took the high deductible plan for my own purposes.

I have health insurance through United American Insurance and I recently had a heart valve replacement, and they've been great. Between that and my Medicare, everything so far has been covered. I recommend United American highly. I've done that for a long time now. They've been fair to me and everything seems to be fine. It's the way insurance companies should be and it's the way they are.

Service has been wonderful. I've had surgeries and what Medicare doesn't pay for, the supplemental insurance kicks in. There are a few times when you may be billed and so far, I've never been billed. I've been happy with the insurance.

I've been satisfied with United American Insurance. They were very good. I've never had to do anything once in a great while. There was a little something, but they have always paid good. I don't have to worry about my co-pay. And they said that I was grandfathered in, so I can keep that. But the prices are going up. Other than that, I love United American.

Signing up was easy and I've been receiving excellent service. When I go to the hospital, I don't have to worry about losing my house. Use United American. I've used it a lot. I'm about to use it again tomorrow for two different doctors, but two different appointments. I'm not scared to go. I can go and not worry about the bill, not worry about losing my house.

Our agent helped us through with any questions we had and the application process was quick and easy. He was great. He made an appointment, and then he came and sat with us. I've been with United American Insurance for lots of years and I just pay my bill every month. Once a year, I get a letter that they're increasing their rates, which I would prefer they didn't, but I can understand that it has to. A lot of my friends have HMOs but I like that with my insurance, I can go to whichever doctor I want. I've not had one doctor say they don't accept this insurance. Whatever Medicare paid, United American Insurance paid the other 20%. I am pleased with the service I'm getting, where everything is covered and the choices are mine. Others have to go for a second opinion but I don't. If I feel I need to see a special doctor, I can make an appointment and go. So, the flexibility is worth the money.

I use them as my Medigap insurance for Medicare. I have a high deductible and they have an annuity plan, instead of me paying the bill each time a doctor bills me for his offices until I complete my deductible, I give the money to United American. They end up paying all the bills for me. It works absolutely terrific. There was only one time there was a hiccup. In the beginning of the year, the doctor didn't understand how the plan worked. I had to tell them to call a different number until I got it straight, but it worked out.

United American has been fantastic. We have had not one bit of trouble collecting or paying for anything at all. So, we're extremely happy. I've had a lot of illnesses so many times and when you had as much as I've had, you get canceled pretty quickly by other companies. But United have not questioned and they have been unbelievable. We are very fortunate to have gotten them. We pay quite a bit, but it's worth the cost. When I was very ill on sepsis and pancreatic stones, I was in the hospital for 15 days and they were no questions asked. In the last few years, I've had treatments for my breast cancer and there were no questions about that either.

A lady in Blacksburg helped me with my insurance. She signed me up. She couldn't be better. She even helped me out on some things she wasn't supposed to. Somehow, I got screwed up and had to buy my own prescriptions last year. She helped me figure out if I wasn't getting it back. United American is a supplement insurance. If Social Security pays, then United American pays, and I don't have bills.

Whenever I have a problem, I can call the provider here in California and he's terrific and he answers my questions. I called when there seemed to be a problem that the hospital was not billing them after they got their money from Medicare. They double checked on the billing and told me to call the hospital, which I did, and they took care of it.

I'm satisfied with United American. My payments come out my bank every month just like it always did. But it went up with all this mess with Biden. It's 400 and some dollars now but it doesn't matter to me because the insurance pays everything and I don't have a bill to pay. When I had an accident and was hurt really bad, what Medicare didn't pay for, United took care of it and I owed nothing.

United American takes care of all of our insurance, and if we had a question, they were very available to call and speak with. They answer quickly. And if they're not the right person to speak to, they get me over to whoever we need to talk to. My husband just had a cancerous tumor removed, and we didn't hear one thing about insurance the whole time. We gave our insurance information to the hospital and they were able to work with United American so that we never got a bill or a phone call. Look into it. We've been very pleased and you probably will be.

I like that United American offers Plan F, which covers everything and that it's one of the ones that doesn't jump as much as other ones every year in cost. If I recommended it to friends on disability, it's the easiest I've dealt with. As far as customer service, it is not great at any of these companies. UAI need to beef up their customer service and when there's a problem in escalating issues that have to be handled.

An insurance agent recommended United American and I went along with it. I had some qualms about whether or not I'm getting enough coverage and with regard to the expense involved, but I'm still with them at the moment. The deductibles are so great. When it comes to medical, pharmaceutical reimbursement, the reimbursement in many cases is minuscule. It doesn't really cover the cost of the drugs.

I've called United American's customer service a few times on some questions. They're very good and kind. I would tell my friends they should get United American. The only thing is I have to take a certain medication and I've taken it for years and years yet they don't cover it, and I don't quite understand that.

Our experience with United American has been great. We intentionally selected the plan we have because we didn't want to have any surprise bills or a whole bunch of copay, and it's worked out very well for us. We have them now for four years, and we've had no bills kickback. My wife's been through cancer surgery and a whole bunch of different things, and everything has been taken care of. We haven't had to worry about anything. We wanted things to be easy and it is.

I like my United American insurance a lot. This year, I had an open heart surgery. I met my deductible but I don't feel I'm paying out extra. My payment when I first started was $78 against the payment of $300. I would have been paying $3,600 for the standard policy. 78 times 12 is $936. I am saving a lot of money. I get my statements and know exactly what I have to pay. I haven't changed the policy because I'm happy with it.

I have recommended United American to several friends. I must have had $300,000 worth of medical bills that all got paid by Medicare and supplemental insurance, except for my deductibles. I also don't think I came out of pocket more than about $2,500, with the exception of a way too expensive pharmacy order that was $2,500.

Applying with United American was pretty easy. I spoke with a rep over the phone then everything was done through email. But afterwards, an issue about the deductible came up and when I had questions about that, the rep wasn't helpful. It was also not easy to get somebody on the phone. Other than that, I ended up being in the hospital and needing my supplemental this past year. After I hit my deductible, between my Medicare and United American, it seemed like they covered 100%. So, I have no complaints about that.

I got electrocuted and I've lost one hand, and I couldn't ask for anything more from United American. It was a million and a half dollars in ICU for 50 days. They have taken care of everything with very little out of pocket cost. I never had any health problems in my whole life until just recently. So, I was very happy that I went this way and I'm very happy with the company.

We've had very good luck with United American. We got it in 2001 and we have used it. My husband had open heart surgery quite a few years ago. Now, there was a discrepancy. I was just hospitalized from an accident on the farm here and we had a little problem, but it was more of the hospital. They kept saying I still owed $1,500. When we called United American, they said no, they had mailed a check. Somewhere, the check must have gotten lost, so they were going to rebill them again. But that was the only time that I had a problem. We're very satisfied with what we've got and our experience with it has been very good.

We've had a United American Insurance policy for a long time, and the coverage has been excellent. It's like someone sweeping then someone picking up the filings with a magnet. It's very complete. We also get the mailings showing what has been paid. At one time, we had a rep, but I have never had to call customer service, because everything seemed to be always completed. Ever since we went on Medicare, we've enjoyed the service, and we've never had any reason to even contact anyone. UAI is fabulous, and I'd recommend it to anyone. It's not inexpensive, but when it comes right down to it, it's worth every penny. I just had some major surgery and I haven't seen a bill from it.

I've been with United American for 12 years, and I've had a good experience with them. I haven't been that sick, except I had open heart surgery in May. I haven't seen any of the bills, but I've seen the statement that said, "This is not a bill" and saw what the bill could be. Everything looks like it's something I can afford. I wish they had drug coverage though. I called to find out about it, and they told me they dropped all drug coverage since 2014. So, now, I'm gonna get it at Medicare. Other than that, everything has been fine.

They've got a fabulous reputation with the hospitals. We're here in Dallas for four years and I've been in the blasted hospital for different operations. Their insurance supplement is golden. UT Southwestern just loves it. When I go into emergency and show them the insurance, there are no questions. It's exactly what I wanted. I just changed my direct billing with them and that was straightforward, wasn't quite as easy as I hoped it would be, but I got through it last night. Apart from that, they're doing a very good job.

My client has been with United Health Insurance forever and she's always been satisfied with it. According to her paperwork, automatic claims are effective in 1995. I spoke with United Health Insurance because I had to send the paperwork for a power of attorney and my client's claims. They've been processed. We did automatic billing when the payment comes due.

We were with Cleveland Clinic and when they stopped taking HMO, United American Insurance was there to pick up the pieces. I've had them ever since and they've always been extremely good with me. When I asked them a question, they gave me an answer. They've been fair too and I have never had anybody question me. All this time, I've had three back surgeries and two other major surgeries. I've never had them deny a claim that I had to go back for.
Sometimes United American Insurance is a little more expensive than HMO. But they have the same things as an HMO. I had to have my eyes examined and they do a refractory that insurances don't pay for. A gentleman went too and he had insurance for the eyes. He gave a card and was told, “We're sorry, we don't take that anymore because they don't pay their bills.” I have never had anyone tell me they wouldn't take United American Insurance.

The broker that I spoke with didn't give me all the information, because I would have gone with a better paying plan than the one I'm on. By the time I thought about it, I had a couple of stents and I was told that I couldn't change my plan. But I thought that there was no pre-existing condition, but there is. United American should allow their clients to change my plan. But other than that, I have no complaints.

My United American policy worked well. When I took out the policy, what happened was the guy that signed me up passed away, and then they put somebody else to do his paperwork. I spoke to the guy every now and again. He seemed to be helpful when I spoke to him, but we don't get much feedback from him. He doesn't call. I had a very difficult situation because I was on dialysis. When I did speak to their people, they were very helpful but I found that if we don't get statements regularly and we don't get the necessary paperwork, it's quite difficult to talk to them and deal with them. I went through a kidney transplant and as far as payment goes, they were very good. The only problem that I had was the National Kidney Foundation was paying for the policy at the time, and it was very hard for me to coordinate between Kidney Foundation and United American. It was hard for me to find out who was paying and when they were paying.

So far, United American has been great and we're very happy with it. From what Medicare covers, they pick up the rest. Some plans cover vision and hearing aids, and I don't think this one does at all. That would be nice but we don't have any complaints. It's what we bargained for.

My husband worked for a bank and we had a life insurance policy through them. When he retired, the bank dropped the retirees that had earned that right for paid for insurance. They put us with an insurance agent to represent getting us new insurance. We did supplemental insurance through United American Insurance. I had a heart attack in November and I paid $92, so far. I found that I get statements monthly as to what's been paid out. My insurance agent told me that I was going to be extremely happy that this is one of the best insurance policies out there.

United American carries our secondary Medicare insurance. Compared to the one we had before, United American is superior in every way. Their monthly premiums are a bit high as a secondary carrier for Medicare. But I've had lots and lots of medical issues since I went on Medicare when I was 65 five years ago, and I have never received a bill from them. They've covered everything secondarily that Medicare didn't pay. They keep us up to date on what the charges and everything is going through. That's been paid.

They took care of everything and I appreciate it. They were really good. It cost me a fortune, but it’s worth it. I’ve got the policy that pays for the medication, the hospital, the doctor, and the prescription. I enjoy it. But I wish the prescriptions were cheaper.

I like United American. Their customer service has been somewhat of a problem but it’s not one that I can’t deal with. Once they sign you up, you never hear from them again. Now, each year, I request out of their office an update on comparison shopping, which they send to me. And then, they highlight, “Stay with”. They make that recommendation. But at one time, when I first signed up with United American, I had both health and pharmaceutical. At that time, I was taking a medicine and United American dropped it. They would not cover it so I had to find another insurance. I ended up going to an outside broker and almost canceling all my insurance with my broker because they didn't follow up. The rep finally came to my house and got it all straightened out and I ended up going with SilverScript on pharmaceutical.
I've had a lot of people say that I ought to go with that one that is pushed by AARP and I tell them that I've never had a problem with my medical. United American is very good. Sometimes, Medicare won't pay but the plan does. So, my monthly is atrocious. It's up to 300 and some dollars a month for coverage. It's horrible. But I don't know what else to do because I do know that if I land in the hospital, I'm covered. I couldn't ask for better insurance as United American.

I could not ask for a better experience with United American. I have never had a problem with them in over 20 years. If there's a question, I'd write back a letter. Most of the time, I'd get an answer except when I called on the phone. When you call with a problem and this was a minor problem, it would be nice to get an answer though. I called one time and we did not get an answer. I called a second time and we did not get an answer too. It had to do with the insurance but it was just a question that we needed answered.

In the 20 years that my mom has had United American Insurance, I've had to call them a couple of times, and it's been okay. I like the service and the benefits they're giving her. They've paid everything that my mom has needed. I would love to stay with them but I'm paying a premium price for their policy, and there are so many opportunities to get less now with these Advantage plans. I hope that they take that into consideration and don't raise their prices for a while.

I have two policies with United American. When I make a payment, it's made out to United American. I have long-term insurance. I have Medicare supplement. The two policies were mixed up in payment. The payment that I made, an annual payment of $2,100, was credited to the long-term policy, which made me get a letter from United saying that the other policy has lapsed. I was not able successfully to correct this because I went to one policy, they said they’re Globe Insurance and said, “We don't handle this.” A 20-minute wait on one side. They switched me over. Another 20-minute wait for them. They said, “We can’t handle it. You have to talk to Globe.” This was very frustrating. I was told that it was corrected by the last phone call that I made, but I looked into the computer and they are still saying that the policy has lapsed.

At first, the insurance company wouldn’t pay for any prescription. But now, my insurance agent went back and refiled my claim. I also had to go back and pay some back penalty. But currently, I have United American Insurance Company paying some of my medicine for me. My agent suggested I carry that particular policy and he liked it really well. He also had very good luck out of it. I really like the company and I have no difficulty with them whatsoever. If I have any problem, I go through my agent, then work with him to further disclose anything I might have a problem with. I pay them annually with one check for the whole year and I want to continue to do that. Some of the other companies want you to pay it monthly and that’s hard.

I've always been satisfied with the response when I have talked to United American. But the hospitals and the doctors have basically up to a year to report for the billing to the insurance company. As a result, we're paying the deductible way over the deductible by the time that it actually kicks in. I don't really know how that works. But I would have liked to have not paid all these high deductibles if they were in a timely manner to where my deductible would be covered.
I tried to find doctors that were accepting this insurance and it was a big problem because all the doctors that they recommended were out of business or out of the area. So there wasn't a lot of choice for the doctors. They didn't have doctors to recommend when I needed them. So I have to start going through the website and get all these calls back. You get 100 calls from all kinds of agencies that want you to go there and it's really disturbing. It would be nice if they could explain the policies and benefits after I've signed up to what I could actually do. But nobody does that. Once they get you, good luck.

I never get questioned about what United American Insurance offers. All the hospitals and doctors accept it. I keep a deductible at 2,500. I just had major back surgery which is around $200,000. That covers the hospital totally. My medicare with the United American is perfect. This is a really easy company to deal with.

This is the best insurance anywhere. We've never needed customer service because they do everything right. The doctor submits a bill. Then Medicare submits the report and they pay. The best thing about United American is I never have to worry about anything. The few times that I had questions and I called them, they answered those immediately. I tell everybody I know that when they're getting ready to retire and if they're looking for secondary insurance, use United American. They might be a little bit more expensive, but in the long run, it works out better.

This company has done everything in its power to prevent paying out a very small $4000 life insurance policy that my mother had. They have lied to me, hung up on me and made it as difficult as possible. They told me to VOID the check they sent me and they would send one made out to her and guess what - they sent back the voided check that is not able to be used at all. After dealing with them SINCE MARCH they told me I was giving them the wrong address - and hung up on me. Somehow - they will pay this money she worked so hard for all of her life!

When I was working, there was a fellow that had this plan for his mother, and he sold it. He told me that it was very good and you'll never get a bill. He explained the whole process so I bought it. The couple of times I've talked with the representatives, I've never had a problem. They’ve been able to answer my questions that they didn't know they would find out. So far, I've had them several years, and I've never gotten a bill. I've been in the hospital a couple of times.
When choosing a provider, people should understand the plan, what it covers and what it doesn’t. If Medicare doesn’t approve something, then United American won't cover it. As long as your primary takes care of it, they’d pick up the rest. They raise their rates time to time, but that should be expected. They've done everything they're supposed to do. In fact, when my mother's insurance expired, they wouldn't cover, I bought the same plan for her. Since she's older, it's a little more money. But she's very happy with it also.

I've been with United American for many years and when I go to the doctor, the bill gets submitted and they pay for it.

United American has made going through them so easy. Sometimes, I get their payment sooner than Medicare's. Also, I can pay them by the year, quarterly, or half of it. And they let me know in plenty of time when I have to pay. One time, I skipped and called them. They said "okay", and they put me back on. I have been with them for many years since I was 65. I'm 88 now. They take care of everything. I have nothing but good things to say about them.

United American Insurance is phenomenal. The reason that we went with them was because we had United Health Insurance with the dealership, and we felt that being older like that, we were causing the premiums to be higher, so we switched to the Medicare now. They're part of the AARP program and they're probably the best out there. I don't think any of them are that good. However, they spend too much money sending out letters with information. They send you everything that they've taken care of. They put it in a letter and mail it to you. They do that almost on a weekly basis and I get to the point where you don't even look at it. They would be better off just to send that out every month or six weeks. Also, they sometimes don't take care of the drugs that you need. We can afford it but a lot of people couldn't afford the fact that they turn down the requests for certain medications that the doctor prescribes. I think about others too other than just us and for a lot of people, it's expensive to have the insurance.

United American has been great, because otherwise, I really couldn't afford my medical care. I was pretty bad off when my mom helped me sign up for United American. The guy from the insurance agency drove up. I was living out in California at that time, and he drove 50 miles to our house.

I'll stay with what I've got with United American. I pay it, and it pays my hospital and my doctors. I love it. It’s a good insurance. They've been good to me. Every back surgery I've had to have, they got right in there and paid what they needed to pay.

I've had United American since 2000, and I'm very happy with it. They've been very good for me. Anytime I needed service, they went ahead and got things started. When I ask for some help or need a letter of something, they do that for me.
