United American is great. I went in a few years back when I had my lady insurance person from my primary doctor's office help me out, and she showed me so many different plans. I've been on United American for my secondary insurance since I've been on Social Security. They've been very helpful. I had some really bad hospital stays and they worked so well with all the hospital people. They're so giving of their time, knowledgeable of what's needed, and I feel very safe with them. They call me every year to change my plan but I tell them I'm happy where I'm at.

Last December my mother in law's agent had us sign her up for a medicare policy with United American Insurance at a cost of $402 per month. United deducted the $402 from her account in the second week of December for the payment due in January. As December came to a close I contacted our rep about not having received any info or insurance card. He indicated he spoke to United and the card and info was mailed on December 15th. I continued to let him know that we needed the card as she had medical appts. I reached out to him today and was informed that they told him they were having problems with the US Postal service. I am worried that if they are using the US Postal service as an excuse what happens when there are claims under the policy. Can I trust this company. Already told rep will need to consider different company next year if they can't even get the card mailed out.
Thank you for letting us know about the difficulty you've encountered getting your mother-in-law's card and policy details. We apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced; we know how important these documents are. Please ask your mother-in-law to send an email to our customer care supervisor at eservicecenter@unitedamerican.com for assistance. We hope to hear from you soon.

When my husband passed away, I needed to get my own health insurance. I talked to my son-in-law who is an investment advisor and I said I want what he had, because he was well taken care of. He had United American, so that's what I got and I've been satisfied. I haven't had to look for anything different. I was recently hospitalized and I don't recall there being any problem with my insurance covering everything.
We are so sorry to hear about your recent loss, and we feel honored you trust United American Insurance. Your kind words mean a great deal to us, and we're always here to serve you if you need us.

My insurance agent suggested United American and I got an F supplementary insurance, which they no longer offer now. I've used my supplemental insurance many times and I've had zero problems. I pay a lot for their insurance, but I don't pay any copayment. I was in the hospital for a week in Miami and I didn't pay anything. United picked up the backlash.
We are so glad to hear that your recent hospitalization claims were processed to your satisfaction, and we hope that you are feeling better. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns; that's what we're here for!

However, I had an operation back in September, and I'm still waiting for them to pay on a couple of items that are still online that doesn't show that they're paid for.

I purchased a Supplemental Plan N during open enrollment receiving a quote. 1 month later, they raised the rate because of having a birthday. Then 1 month later, they raised my rate because of a new year. They have you locked in because of underwriting. They did same thing again this year. Raised $10.00 months December 1st, then starting January raised $29.00. That's a total of $39.00 a month on top of Medicare increase. Cola raised totally eliminated thanks to United American. But there is a bright light at end of tunnel. Starting 2026 January, my state passed a new bill which allows consumers to choose another insurance company without underwriting as long as you choose same plan. We are allowed to do this within 60 days of our birthday and not during open enrollment. Personal guarantee they will lose my business and other consumers. Corporate Greed.
Michael, we passed along your feedback immediately. Hearing from our customers helps us improve. We are deeply sorry you faced rate increases, and we completely understand your frustration. If we can assist in any way, please contact a customer care supervisor at eservicecenter@unitedamerican.com at any time. Thank you for your feedback.

After Mom's death United American Insurance Company sent a check to Dad just a few days after her passing. That was great! However as Dad was in a nursing home the check seemed to get lost! I called customer service numerous times and I got a response the 1st time that they couldn’t talk to me and wouldn’t tell me where the check was sent to. This started in May. In September I was told check was not cashed so a new check would be sent in 15 to 20 days. Never got it. Talked to nursing home numerous times and said they had not received it. Finally called customer service again on December 8th after Dad's passing and sent in his death certificate.
On December 11th talked to Brandy in customer service. She said the check had been cashed and was in process of sending me email of cancelled check showing who cashed it and when. Got cut off so called back and talked to Gloria who said Brandy had sent email to me. About 1 hour later got the email. I want to personally thank Brandy and Gloria. They gave me info I needed. All we ask for in customer service is truth and help. Not sure how a person can say new check will be sent out in September when check got cashed on June 2nd! Anyway issue solved, got money from facility that cashed it without our knowledge or signature. Just asking for customer service to be truthful and helpful! Again Brandy and Gloria thanks and God Bless you both!

United American was recommended to me by an agent I worked with when I moved here to Florida about 13 years ago. I purchased a supplemental to my Medicare. He said they're a little high in prices but the coverage is good. He never heard complaints from his clients about them. In my experience, it is a little more expensive per month, but it covers a lot of things.
I spoke with them a few days ago because my policy was due to renew on the 15th of December. I realized I hadn’t gotten a bill yet on the 4th. They gave me options, and I usually pay six months at a time. I called them, and the representative said I still have 30 days to pay it. I don’t like paying my bills late. I sent it in and, four or five days later, confirmed that they got it and confirmed with my bank that it was processed. They might have mailed them a little late this year, so it could have gotten lost in the mail.
I got one outstanding now that I'm trying to get straightened out with a therapy place. I had my right shoulder rotator cuff replaced. The agents I called weren’t able to help me at all. I got to the supervisor and she called back the therapy place. She said the supplemental takes care of a part of the copay. United American only pays a small part of the difference. They're supposed to be working on it, but I haven't heard anything back.
Terry, thank you for sending us this feedback, and we've forwarded it on. Hearing from our customers helps us improve our service, and we are glad to hear you value our coverage. We wish you a happy holiday season.

I'm very happy with United American. The people are helpful. I have not had any problems. I was with Xerox back then, and then they changed the whole plan where we had to get our own insurance. So, Xerox people hooked me up with AARP. And then something happened, and they said I’d have to redo it again. And I was afraid I'd be without insurance. So, I called Miss Scott, who deals with United American, and she hooked me up with them. She came to my house, we filled out some documents, and I signed them. She took care of everything.
The only thing I thought was gonna happen was they would pay for a gym membership, because I was told three or four years ago, they would start doing that like AARP. But they have not done it yet. That's my only complaint.
William, we are so honored to have your trust, and your recommendation means everything. Thank you for your feedback.

United American Insurance is a good company. I’ve had them for 12 or 13 years. I’ve spoken to their representatives years ago, and they were easy to talk to, and they answered my questions right away. Filing a claim is no pain at all. The provider usually submits their bills, and United American pays them. We always wish that their price was a little bit less, but I don’t write checks for any doctors.

I've never been in contact with UAI other than when I switched. I have no reason to be in contact with them because they have met all my requirements. I'm not happy when the premium goes up, but I'm very happy with the insurance. The Plan F has been a good fit for me.

United American's coverage was excellent. However, the cost was exorbitant. I've been with United American for almost eight years and I was very happy with them. We're changing insurances as of the first of the year. The only reason I'm changing is I'm saving almost $150 a month with the new plan.

I've had United American for over two and a half decades. Until this last year, I didn't have any issues. I wasn't crazy about that price bump, but other than that, I've always had a good experience with United American. Still, I will be shopping around for a policy. I wanna see what else is out there and what else might be available solely based on cost. If there's somebody else out there that's cheaper and doing about the same thing for the same price, then I'm gonna go with them.

It was my secondary insurance for Medicare. I first went on Medicare. I got Medicare, and then I got United American. My Medicare pays the 80% first, and then United American would come in and pay a percentage of what was done by Medicare. They would do their part. And so, I really liked it because I never got a bill from the doctor. So, United American would pay what Medicare did not pay.
Everything else is going pretty well the way it was supposed to. And we were really pleased with it. They've been very good. When I would go to the doctor, I never received a bill or a statement. Because we had got Plan F, which was right before they got away with that, and it was the best. I couldn't even tell you my agent's name right now. But he said it was like the Cadillac of insurance. And we did. I go to the doctor knowing that it's taken care of.
