I have had multiple interactions with Grange Insurance Company over the past 15 years. Recently we added a new vehicle to our policy. The agent was friendly and took care of my needs along with taking the time to review the coverage on our other vehicles. I can never remember an interaction that was not a positive experience. Whether it was coverage on our vehicles, boat or home the agents were knowledgeable and has given us great customer service. Insurance is necessary, so grateful to have a company that gives our family total confidence and peace of mind.

Filed a homeowner's claim. They were on it fast!! Made the process quick and easy. Start to finish in less than a couple of weeks. No hassle, no stress. We have had Grange for about 16 years now. Definitely recommend Grange for all your insurance needs.

I normally dread calling in to Insurance companies but this experience was wonderful. A very short wait time and I got to speak with a live person. She was not only kind, but very informative. Took care of my issue right away and ensured all questions were answered while on the call. Highly recommend!

I called to add a vehicle to my policy and had the pleasure of speaking with Bright O. He was more than an Account Manager. He totally went above and beyond the call of duty. He was patient and knowledgeable and so very kind. After sharing my thoughts of possibly switching carriers he took the time to review my current policy and was able to find a substantial discount that saved some $$$. He totally exceeded my expectations. He’s a true gem and Grange is lucky to have him on their team!

Excellent customer service from our adjuster, We had a fire in our home. He was so easy to contact through text message. Everything was taken care of thoroughly. We were very happy with the way our adjuster handled everything.

Whatever your problems are they will work with you. Other Insurance companies have called me to switch. And I tell them I'm happy with Grange Insurance and whatever they have to offer will not compare with the great people I deal with and the service they offer. I tell everyone I know and come in contact with about Grange Insurance.

I’ve had my home and auto insurance with Grange for 3 years and no claims. I found better rates elsewhere and called to terminate my policies. I spoke with Tina. She was friendly, professional, and gracious. I will definitely consider them again when comparing rates in the future.

Merry was very professional, patient, and generous with her time; she researched and communicated all options available to me. As a result of her diligence, I was able to switch ALL auto coverage over to Grange — improving my coverage levels for a fraction of the cost. I have had my auto and home with Grange for quite a number of years and I am very impressed with everyone I have ever dealt with in this organization. On September 15, 2020 I called to update my car insurance for my new car. I spoke to a lady named Marcia. She was very friendly and courteous. She explained everything to me and did not try to rush me through the call. I was told exactly what my new payment would be and that I was totally satisfied. In 2014 I was in a terrible automobile accident and Grange had my back all the way. I tell everyone about my positive experiences with Grange. I couldn't be happier or more satisfied with your customer service and the people with whom I have dealt.

I had the misfortune of being rear ended by a policyholder of Grange. Jessica made this process as painless as possible. She set up the appointment at the shop and had the car rental company call me to confirm the date and time I wanted the rental. I expected a good deal of resistance and runaround since it was not my insurance company. However, I couldn't have asked for better service. I would give them higher than a 5 star rating if it was available. Jessica thank you very much!

This insurance company has the best customer service when calling for questions or filing a claim. They are very thorough and professional offering competitive rates and multi policy discounts. I highly recommend this entity as they are a highly successful company without all the media to back them up.

I have had the pleasure of talking to some of the most kind and helpful customer service people that I have ever encountered. My experience with Grange has been absolutely wonderful because every time I call they are kind and work to make sure they are doing what is best for me, explaining my options, and talking me through every step. Grange not only gave me the best competitive prices but continues to impress me with their professionalism.

I've had this insurance for more than 10 years and have paid mostly online. No problem, very quick and efficient. Then they overhauled the website and I have so many danged problems I'm ready to start looking for a different insurer. Sometimes the block of information where I fill in my payment information just doesn't show up. Not at all. Going out of the website, then back. Still nothing. I called Customer Service and finally (I thought) got it fixed, but 2 months later, same problem.
I make my payments by phone now. Must admit that the wait time is a little longer than I'd like but not bad. The best part about this, however, is the customer service I've spoke with on the phone have both been REALLY nice - sympathetic, but not overboard and very efficient and helpful. Also, don't like the way rates have gone up. I pay about $50 more than when I started. But I'm an older driver, so I'm not sure that I'll find anything significantly less expensive than the rates I have now. Overall, I feel the company is relatively easy to work with. The website, however, is not.

I have been with Grange for many many years. Over a decade in total but this last time I was with them for 7 years! Glass claims and auto damage claims were so simple and in most cases free! Their customer reps on the phone are so helpful and kind. They answer my questions and say thank you often. I even got disconnected today by accident on my end and they called me back within seconds and apologized even when it wasn't their fault! Great service today and always. I would only ever change providers due to cost savings over a significant amount. Thanks so much grange for always taking care of my family and I.

I felt safe with Grange Insurance. The only thing I wasn't pleased with was the weekend I had an accident I could not reach anyone and I felt agitated. The customer service staff were always, courteous, professional and I would always be pleased afterwards.

This is not my insurance company, but my experience with them has been extremely positive. They took care of the claim very very fast, polite and very fast acting. I enjoyed working with them. I would considering them as an insurance company in the future. Trent ** is who I work with, very professional and he made the process run smooth.

Unfortunately, I had to make an accident claim but Grange made it much easier. I have been a customer for years and have always been treated with respect. They made the claim filing procedures painless and easy and had my car in the repair shop the next day (only because of the Coronavirus, otherwise it would have been the same day) and had my rental there waiting for me! I highly recommend!

I recently started a new policy with Grange after doing some comparison shopping. I was able to get more coverage for my auto liability policy as well as a renters policy for half of what I was paying my previous company for just auto coverage. Everyone has been extremely nice and responsive. I look forward to continued business with a well established carrier! Thanks!

A young lady named Stacy helped me today. Stacy was knowledgeable and kind. She was able to answer my questions immediately. I told Stacy the next time she talked to her parents to tell them that they did a wonderful work in raising her to be a fine young woman. I am a retired teacher and I always commend those who go above and beyond what is required. Stacy did that. I hope if you have to call Grange that you are able to get Stacy or someone like her.

The loan company I have my car through stated they were going to provide me insurance because I had no proof of insurance. I cant fax my policy (home) which I didn't have access to a fax or copier to mail. I called in and was greeted. The kind lady updated my policy and send it for me so I have no worries. But I wanted to comment that she made nice conversation that I was gratefully for her and appreciated her. It was a stressful day. She made my stressful day so much better. Kudos to her.

I reported a claim today using the 1-800 phone report system. The Grange representative took the information, provided me a claim number and explained my options. At this point I am awaiting a call from the Grange assigned adjuster (expected within 24 hours according to what the rep told me). So far, so good.

I've been using Grange for about 5 years now and have had a series of misfortunes with my vehicles. Had one accident (my fault) on which they paid both the other driver and myself swiftly, a cracked windshield covered under my glass coverage, also paid swiftly and repaired in no time, a broken driver's side window in Winter, once again fixed and paid for with no quibbles and now a parking lot disaster where it looks like a Mack truck hit my right quarter panel. Called them and they went right to work. Any other company would have dropped me after the windshield incident. My rates didn't even go up after that accident. Friendly and efficient folks. Keep up the good work I say.

Called Grange to add my son to our auto policy. Was connected Annie who was an absolute pleasure to work with. Having spoken with her previously she recalled the information that I had shared with her and quickly found me in their system and effectively handled my concerns (each time). I have been a Grange client for a number of years and customer facing team members like Annie will make it hard for me to leave. Very knowledgeable, does not need to put you on hold multiple times, very engaging, and efficient. I would highly recommend Grange based primarily on knowledgeable people like Annie (and they have great rates too).

I called regarding a cancellation of my wife's and my auto insurance. I spoke to a gentleman named Eric who researched the issue for me and had to put me on hold for a couple of minutes and came back with a resolution. He then asked a couple of questions and determined my wife and I were entitled to a discount--not much but every little bit helps. Eric was very congenial and seemed very interested in resolving my concern. Probably one of the best conversations I've had with an insurance agent. Would highly recommend!

Excellent auto insurance as it is affordable & good customer service. Check this auto insurance out! My agent at automobile associates of America referred to Grange Auto Insurance as the auto insurance I had at the time was high quality but too expensive for me as I had a low income. I was fortunate to have been recommended Grange Auto Insurance by my AAA agent!

My Mother lives in Ohio and I was helping her with a homeowners insurance claim. Ken ** was the adjuster assigned to our claim. It was a pleasure to work with Ken. He was professional, friendly and quick to respond in getting our claim finalized. The claim was submitted on Tuesday and by Monday my Mother had received a check in the mail. Based on this positive experience, if Grange Insurance were in New York I would seriously look at switching my policies to Grange without hesitation. Kudos to Ken and Grange!

I hit a deer while I was moving across the country. The claims department seemed helpful at first and they reached out to me the day after it happened and sent an adjuster the next day. However once the vehicle went into the shop it immediately went downhill. The insurance never contacted the shop to see if there was supplemental damage.
Every day I was calling the shop and the insurance and neither were on the same page. The shop said they sent supplemental information and pictures to the insurance but the insurance said they never received it and sent a check to the shop for the original amount without reaching out to them first. I've been calling for days and finally told the insurance I'm tired of doing their job for them by being the middleman and they finally decided to reach out to the shop. My car has been sitting in the rain for a week now because the insurance couldn't do their job. They have no concern for me that I'm alone and with no car, about to start a new job where I can't use Uber. They have no sense of urgency and they DO NOT care about their clients at all. This is my first claim in 7 years with them and they still treat me like trash.

I was very pleased with the group that handled my claim. The app that had to used to take the pictures of the damages was very easy to use, after sending the pictures they send a text back they receive the pictures and would get back to me in the 24 hours, and was less then 24 hours. Thanks.

We had a bad windstorm come through and cause a great deal of damage to our fence. I easily filed the claim on the website on Sunday. Ken reaches out to me early Monday and we reached a resolution by Tuesday morning. Check is in the mail and I couldn’t be happier with the service I received!

Over the years, I have had several interactions with insurance agents. My experiences have generally been negative, until now. Your claims agent, Corey **, has been exceptionally attentive. He called me to report the status of my situation, and preempted events by calling the repair shop, and also the Enterprise rental office to have all the paperwork ready and waiting for me to arrive. He then called me to tell me the check for the repairs has been sent to the repair shop, and it will be waiting for my endorsement. The paperwork was detailed and thorough. I have the comprehensive auto insurance with Grange. I put in a claim and the website told me to expect a response back in 72 hours. It's been a month and I haven't received as much as a first response to even confirm a human has looked at it. I've left messages and voicemails to no luck, and the general customer service line sends me to my unresponsive agent's line. The website confirms it was received, but says it isn't in progress.
This is as bad as it gets. The fact they don't acknowledge I exist after I put in a claim is insane. I could receive the same kind of coverage/value if I bought insurance from a random person on Craigslist, and it might be cheaper. I'm relieved this is a smaller claim because if this was a major event, I would be completely out of luck. I obviously have no choice but to swap after this. I'm grateful and annoyed about this being a major red flag. I'm looking into outside options to get a response from Grange and have an attorney friend, but I'm sticking with established brands from now on.

I had a very small touch on a car while backing up in a crowded parking lot. No serious damage. My agent at Homestead Insurance was as Professional as could be. Next having just changed to Grange with a problem I didn't know what to expect. The agent from Grange reviewed with me what happened and settled the claim representing my interest. They do business the old fashion way. Proper and Honest. I will always be a customer of Grange Ins. I was with a National name brand insurance for many years and tried to do a consolidation, after 2 months it still wasn't done. That's what made me look for something else. That's when I found Homestead agency and they introduced me to Grange. Grange did it in 4 days with much more coverage and a better rate.

My vehicle was hit, in my driveway, by a vehicle insured by Grange. This happened on 11-24. Nobody contacted me. I had to track down everybody. I've called multiple times and nobody ever called me back. Finally I reached the adjuster. She tells me she has yet to speak to the insured, nor has she received the police report. She said they are "still investigating." I believe they are just waiting for me to give up and have my insurance cover the damages. I've contacted my lawyer.

I'm three and a half weeks into a claim and my car has yet to be fixed. On November 15th, I was traveling through PA and hit a deer. From the moment my agent created the claim (evening of 11.15.19), my experience has been terrible! After spending nearly a week getting someone on the phone (which is ironically titled the fast track line), my car has still not gotten worked on. In fact, when the claims department did finally fill out the paperwork to tow it to a body shop, they said "we don't have any preferred dealers in the area so let us know where you want it to be towed".
I have been a customer for a long time and I've had absolutely no help from this company. The kicker is that my rental coverage is only for 30 days and yet they see no reason to try and "speed-up" the process to make it within that window. I am disgusted with this claim and will certainly get screwed out of hundreds of dollars in car rental fees while they move at a snail's pace. Ridiculous! If you're shopping for car insurance - run from Grange!

Grange adjuster, Ken **, was a great help to me. I was very upset about losing an heirloom ring. He put me at ease, answered all my questions and said I wasn't the first person to lose a ring. We have had an absolutely horrible experience with Grange. My husband and three other drivers were rear-ended by a Grange Customer 4 weeks ago. My husband witnessed this individual swerving and texting shortly before the accident while on I-77. Shortly after, this individual rear ended 3 vehicles, my husband's car being one of them. The individual was cited for the accident by the Independence Police Dept.
It has been 4 weeks. Grange has given us the run-around. They will not pay because they cannot get ahold of their client. I would never want my insurance company to not take care of someone's car that I damaged. This has been the worst experience and I would NOT recommend Grange insurance. We have spoken to the Claim Representative many times and her supervisor. There is nothing they will do for us. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. DO NOT USE GRANGE. They will not treat the other party properly.

Recently in July 2019 Friday the 13th and Full Moon, I unfortunately found a rock formation just below the surface of Lake Lanier with my almost brand new Malibu Wakesetter. Extensive damage was incurred. I contacted Grange Insurance representative Jessica ** and She was understanding and expedited the process of getting my boat repaired. I am thankful for Grange and Jessica for the kind and curious processing of my claim.

My parked car was hit by a company worker, the insurance carrier was Grange. Before I could even contact the company the Claims Agent Timothy ** was reaching out to my insurance to determine a best contact method. By the time we spoke, he was able to authorize a shop for my repairs and have a rental car ready and waiting. No questions asked; simply dropped the car off, picked up the rental and was on my way. Best experience I have ever had in detailing with insurance claims.

I have a Grange homeowner's policy with an Inland Marine rider which covers farm equipment. During operation of the farm equipment, a tractor implement (loader) was damaged due to hitting a tree. The cost of parts to make the loader functional was significant and I turned a claim into Grange. The claim representative that I worked with, Mr. Ken **, processed the claim in a very professional manner. The claim was processed within a week with no haggling over payment for cost of the repair. I could not be happier with Grange and Mr. **'s efforts in resolving this claim. Thank you.

We had roof damage from storms. Our first surprise was that the policy covered the damage. An even better surprise was how quickly the claims adjuster showed up and how well he worked with our roofer to make sure that everything that should be covered was fully covered. Anytime there was a change in repairs or claim amounts, we had an amended claim form within 24 hours. The settlement checks were mailed within a week. I was happy. The roofer was happy. The adjuster was happy that we were happy. It's hard to get better than that.

I am not a direct customer of Grange but they have been horrific to work with after one of their clients totaled my vehicle. They are unfair/unethical in settling and I now know why attorneys are required. They unfairly valued my lost vehicle and forced us to purchase a similar vehicle that was at least 2 models below, with more miles. They would not honor extended rental coverage and expect you to find a new car within 3 days. We only wanted the same vehicle that their client "took" from us but it was impossible based on their ridiculous valuation process. Then after purchasing a new vehicle, albeit lesser in value, Grange would not even cover the registration fees for the vehicle. I will encourage anyone I speak with to avoid this company for their insurance needs. I'm honestly amazed the employees that we dealt with can sleep comfortably at night.

Tom **, Senior Claims Representative processed and managed my claim effectively and efficiently and had exceptional customer service. The claim was filed on a Friday with Monday being a national holiday. My claim had been approved, and the car was being repaired on Tuesday. I have never had such incredible service from an insurance claim and from LJI Collision services. I have a 5 star customer satisfaction!

I have full coverage on EVERYTHING, and GAP on financed items. I have auto insurance for 2 vehicles, my condo, a camper and a motorcycle all with Grange Ins. GAP on 1 vehicle and the camper. The camper is a "recreational vehicle" only used in the summer on weekends. The campground that I have it stationary with closes from the months of Oct 31 to April 1. I filed my first claim with Grange for my camper when I made the trip one weekend before opening to get it ready for the summer season. I opened the door, and the smell of mold/mildew would have knocked you down. When I made my way through the camper, the floor was EXTREMELY soft... to the point I was afraid of falling through. With the smell alone, I had to leave and couldn't stay there.
I have an oversized full cover built over the camper, the deck that surrounds the camper on one side, that has a built in hot tub, around past the front of the camper - to fully protect it from the weather. They had an adjuster out to assess the damage, and he declared it "TOTALED." In having FULL COVERAGE to protect me and my things, I assumed it wouldn't be a big problem. I had no claims of any kind, both in driving or otherwise, and paid my insurance timely as it is AUTO DRAFTED (as someone stated earlier).
I got a DENIAL letter stating they would ONLY COVER SUDDEN AND ACCIDENTAL issues. Giving the example(s), as I have already read in previous comments, that if we had hit a deer, or a deer ran into the camper, THAT would qualify for sudden and accidental. If a limb fell out of a tree and hit the top of the camper and dented it, or it went through the top or window, THAT would qualify for sudden and accidental. But my issue, it due to a maintenance issue because the adjuster stated the only thing he could determine was a seal on the slideout was faulty, and I didn't repair it. My slideout wasn't taken in/out, and in/out - it stayed out and the cover over the camper covered it too.
Adjuster said "If the water happen to come in this direction..." and flood the camper? I remembered a year or so ago, the water heater busted. We replaced the water heater ourselves and cleaned up the water. NO I DIDN'T pull up the linoleum and the furniture in the camper, and wasn't aware that it had seeped under there. Apparently, it had, and now there is MOLD/MILDEW, and soft flooring. The adjuster suggested we not stay in it due to Black mold growing in there. OK.
So now, I have a totaled camper that I can't use, and can't afford to fix a $14,000.00 loan on it, and GAP won't cover it because primary won't. SO NOW WHAT???? OMG!!! I am sooooo MAD! You make sure you have FULL COVERAGE on everything to protect you from issues such as this, only to find out, their insurance isn't worth the paper it's typed on!! They e-mailed me 62 pages of what they WON'T cover, and how they will get out of paying on what they do cover. REALLY??? Funny, I don't remember getting that in the beginning when I first signed up with them. I have got another friend and an attorney looking over this information, because this just isn't right. So, I ask all of you... where can we go from here to fight this?? Are we really screwed?? OK! Lol. THAT'S NOT ALL FOLKS!
This camper issue began the week after 3/31/2019. Today is 5/21/2019 and still fighting it with no help from Grange. This past weekend, one of our vehicles breaks down 56 miles from home. "WAIT!! WE HAVE ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE!!" Contacted the people through 24/7 customer service assistance with claims at about 1:00 p.m. Gave them the information... where the vehicle is, and where it needs to be towed to. ONLY 2 ADDRESSES! The rep advises, it won't cost us anything... "that's what you have insurance for." I advised him there was a shop right across the street who would tow it home for us for $200. Would they cover that? He states if we want to pay for it out of pocket, we could then submit the receipt with a claim, and "possibly get reimbursed." Otherwise, the contractors they have on call would get paid from Grange, and wouldn't cost us anything.
OK! Us pay $200 out of pocket and risk. NO REIMBURSEMENT, or NO COST TO US. No brainer! He states he would text me the details, and ETA. 2 hours later, no contact. My husband gets to the vehicle, and the driver of the tow truck states he was told he was towing it 2 miles down the road. What???? I gave only 2 addresses. Where did the address come from located 2 miles down the road?? The driver won't load the truck until we agree to pay $200. I contact Grange re: the issue. NO HELP. The rep states the information must have been misunderstood, although they had no 3rd address on file. They advise only 15 miles is at no charge. After that, it's $4/mile, so it was going to now cost us $165 out of pocket. Well, we had already paid the driver his insisted amt of $200 to load the truck, and tow it home. My husband didn't know, but while I was talking to Grange, they demanded the $165 by "credit card today!"
The driver is en route with the truck, gets to our home with it. My husband advises I had already paid the insurance for the tow so we would like our money back. He contacts his boss, no payment has been recv'd. He's instructed the driver, "You have the $200 in hand, give them a receipt and move on to your next job." I contact Grange AGAIN, and advise of the now issue. They ask to speak w/ the driver. They get into a screaming match out in our driveway. Driver won't return the money, and Grange won't budge either!
The driver advises every time they do a job for Grange, they have to chase their money down. They have the cash payment, they're moving on. This was Saturday, 5/18/2019, the manager Tim ** will have his manager Kimberly ** contact me first thing Monday, 5/20/2019. Tuesday 5/21/2019 5:11 - no call from Ms. Kimberly **. IMAGINE THAT!! I have called, left messages, left my e-mail address... NOTHING. I called today, she is on a call but about to wrap it up, and will call me right back - that was approx 3:00 p.m. or so. Hmmm longer call than expected.
Whoever is reading this, DO NOT reply with, "Sorry to hear your frustration" and DON'T tell me to contact customer service for further assistance with ANYTHING!!! GET ME SOMEONE WHO BELIEVES IN ASSISTING THEIR CUSTOMERS. SOMEONE MUCH HIGHER than is working in your call sites! Hope this helps to put GRANGE out of business!

My 97 year old mother has homeowners and auto insurance with Grange. She is now in a nursing home, but we keep her policies active and pay them annually for her. We changed the billing address to our home to ensure bills are paid on time and also since she no longer received mail at her residence. We received a bill for $69 on the auto insurance and $79 on the homeowners, I called to inquire about the charge since we had just paid the invoices in full for a year in April. They are charging these amounts to change the mailing address!!!! Ridiculous!!! We are shopping elsewhere for someone with a bit more compassion as to not charge a 97 year old woman in a nursing home these ridiculous fees just for changing a billing address!!!!

We had a tree branch fall on our vehicle totaling it. They were quick to get us a rental car and we were quick to return all the paper work needed to get reimbursed for our vehicle. We get a call from Enterprise saying we have to return the rental car sooner than we were told leaving us without a vehicle... stranded. Can’t get to work. Can’t take kids to school. We asked how soon we would get the check to replace the vehicle so we would have a car again and they can’t tell us that. So to me it seems they don’t care. I could see if we had been reimbursed and are taking advantage but they haven’t even mailed us the check to buy a new one.

Hit a deer on October 30th 2018, the initial filing of the claim went great. But after that I tried contacting the woman that was in charge of my claim and could never get ahold of her. I left voicemails but never received a callback. Finally I had to threaten to get a lawyer in order to get them to look at my vehicle. They finally picked my vehicle up the second week of January. Two and a half months after the accident. Within a week they totalled my vehicle out and here it is now May of 2019 and myself and my bank are still waiting for payment. I had full coverage insurance that I am still paying for, and still paying on the loan for my vehicle. It has been over 4 months and now when I email my claims adjuster, I get no response. I will definitely be finding another insurance company after all this.

I have had Grange for 3 years. I finally got my smarts back and am switching. I have been paying way too much for car insurance the entire time. I thought Sage auto was bad with overcharging but the one good thing Grange offers is auto pay but they charge you an extra $5 a month. There is no other way to pay so you have to have auto pay. I have a great driving record and no accidents but my policy goes up every year! I don't understand why. I feel horrible for staying with them for this long. MY ADVICE... SHOP AROUND for car insurance! You will see others that are cheaper and don't charge for auto paying the bill. $96 a month for a vehicle that is 14 years old. NO THANKS!! I'm getting renters and auto for $65 through MetLife. Thanks for overcharging me Grange. Guess you live and learn. LOL.

I hit a deer on my way to work on October 30 2018 and made a claim that morning. That was sent to the garage for repair. Almost 2 weeks later I still had not heard anything from my Grange claims adjuster or the garage. I called my adjuster left a message with no response then called the garage and they said they have been waiting on Grange claims for a answer for over a week to see what to do because there was over $11500.00 worth of damage.
After week got a call finally from the Grange claims adjuster saying it was totaled. The good thing was I had financed gap coverage with my car loan. The bad thing was the gap company needed several documents faxed and it would take 25 days to clear the loan before I could get another car. I have 30 days through my Grange policy on a rental car.
As of today my paperwork still hasn't been sent to my loan company or the gap coverage company and I have 3 more days with a rental car and after that no car to get to work. So I will be at least a month without a car due to the slow response of Grange. If things were taken care of as needed I would have been without a car for at most a few days. During this whole thing I could never get ahold of my Grange claims adjuster. I would leave her a message and hope she would call me back within the next few days. It feels as she doesn't care. I have been a Grange customer for many years. I have my car and house insurance through them and when I daughter bought a house this year she even goes through Grange. So why should I care about Grange and stay with them.

This company is awesome! I hit a deer and they worked very quickly to get my car fixed and back in working order! I called on a Monday and the car was in the shop being fixed the very next day. They had a rental waiting for me and the repair was done well.

I've been working with Grange for the last 14 years with a catastrophic claim. Being a long period of time I've only had a couple changes in adjusters and they have all been great to work with! I would highly recommend Grange to anyone looking for insurance. Especially when those horrible accidents do happen, they are there for you. We moved home and auto to Grange after over 40 years with State Farm. Up until this past week, no problems. We received our renewal notice and our premium had skyrocketed, an increase of more than 30%. There was no explanation given, never is with Grange. Called company direct, the person answering had no reason. Call our agent, even though we were accident free and violation free, we were told that it was the company’s actuaries who were the reason for our increase. Through their math models (to which no details available even to the underwriters) our household triggered one or more of the variables in their model which caused the increase. Needless to say, we will be taking our business elsewhere. In a world where everyone is clamoring for transparency, Grange is completely oblivious. They hide behind their models even when there are no claims.

I started to take out insurance with Grange and the agent made 2 mistakes while setting up my policy. Wanted to charge me more money than I was quoted so I cancelled. I cancelled payment and when a check was mailed to me I immediately had my account charged again and not I am getting bills telling me to pay immediately. I sent proof that this was paid but did not do any good. I will complain to BBB if this affects my credit rating at all.

I was rear ended and seriously injured by a Grange insured trucking co. that had serious safety violations and should never have been on the highway. The co. had tags expired for 2 years prior, lots of safety violations, yet Grange insured them anyway. Been a nightmare and very stressful last 4 yrs filing lawsuits against Grange and we have a jury trial approaching. Grange has a whole team of in house attorneys that fight claims. They are totally unreasonable... worst insurance around.
Their attorneys have openly lied to the court, encouraged their insured to lie and fabricate falsified inspection documents, and have committed fraud on the court, by submitting counterfeit docs. I feel more victims need to come forward and hire a fighting trial attorney (not a settlement attorney) and sue this dishonest insurance co. Knowledgeable victims can also file bad faith lawsuits against Grange (many states have these provisions now), and file complaints with their state's Dept. of Insurance oversee-ers.

I Purchased full coverage uninsured motor. Addition property damage. While on vacation I was hit from behind hard enough to total my 10 month old car. Grange in Columbus, Ohio did nothing accommodating (we were 11 hours away from home). Once claim was filed they came in with a low offer. The second offer just as insulting. There was no negotiation. It was take it or leave it. I have never been so disgusted and disappointed in a Insurance company. I asked to escalate. No calls were ever returned. The lack of customer service or explanation has me sick.
Our suitcases were crushed. The electronic bag crushed. Everything is ruined. I’ve calculated at least $4000 worth of ruined belongings. Grange told me, "Sorry about your luck. Maybe your homeowners will cover damaged belongings." Grange Insurance is someone I will warn as many people as possible. They will leave you with a bad taste in your mouth. They are not honest or kind in your time of need. I am sick that nothing is being replaced. I am sick at settlement amount. They are scam artist. The adjuster I have been dealing with is horrible and has not even looked at all the data I had to back up why those numbers were off.
Basically all I’ve heard is, "Sorry about your luck". I can pay my own appraiser. That is only thing they continued to repeat. No supervisors will return my calls. They do not care about the customer and read your policy carefully. I hope this helps someone avoid the mistake I made with having a auto policy with this scam of a company. I also paid a addition 140 for a rental that would get us home not being reimbursed. So disappointed and angry. Don’t let Grange take advantage of you like they have my claim. Thank you for reading.

Grange didn't provide efficient follow-ups with the rental company regarding rental extension and collision center regarding supplement to adjusted repair approval. This resulted in lack of notification that my rental limit had expired, therefore causing an out of pocket expense to me. We pay for rental coverage to prevent out of pocket expense other than our deductible. The repair shouldn't have lasted 3 weeks or long enough to exhaust my rental limit. However, the appraiser and adjuster played email and phone tag with the collision center regarding needed approval for supplements to repair. Grange failed to respond to the rental company when they requested if an extension would be given for my rental.
The adjuster responded two days after the rental limit had been exhausted. The rental company notifies the customer once Grange closes out rental claim. Therefore, I wasn't notified in timely manner to decide if I wanted to be responsible for the out of pocket cost or return the rental. Grange doesn't feel they are responsible to refund the money lost due to their poor response to deadlines. Grange's customer service is horrible, passing me around to various people. When asked to provide the regional manager's contact information I was informed by a call center rep and my insurance agent they are not allowed to give the number out. In no way do I want to do business with a company that limits customer access to chain of command.
I do not recommend Grange due to not working in the best interest of their customers. I found the adjuster, M. **, of my claim to be rude and to date her supervisor, M. **, hasn't contacted me to address my concern. Documentation from both the collision center and rental company show the lack of proper follow up and an effort to clean up a missed notification to the rental company. CHEAPER RATES MEANS YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. BE AWARE. It's all great until you need them to make your claims process efficient and not stressful. They have lost my business and I will continue to warn other consumers.

I like how quickly Grange Auto Insurance take your calls and respond back to an issue when one occurs. They are also really friendly and nice for the most part and make the process smoother. However, some of the people are not quite as friendly and Put up a fight when you have multiple claims too close together even when not at fault and it become a Hassle and headache.

As far as purchasing my policy I was referred to them by my old agent that was returning. They are friendly and fast when it comes to filing a claim. They also have the best rates for my insurance needs. And when you need to file a claim you don't have to worry about your insurance rate going through the roof because of an accident. My overall experience with my current insurance company has been excellent.

I have had it since I got my license. I signed up with my parents and kept it. They have reliable and consistent customer service. Had good local agents and always reachable by phone. However, rate is high for a clean driving record. Should be cheaper with better benefits for no accuses.

My overall experience with this company has been positive so far. I was sent an online quote, which saved me time. I was able to ask for the same type of coverage that I had in my previous insurance policy. Since the office was local, I was able to ask questions and sign everything in person. I liked the fact that they had a local office and that I have a person that I can call directly and not just talk to an automated system. And I enjoy the fact that Grange is much more affordable than my last plan. It was also recommended to me by my boyfriend so I know it is that insurance. I have only had this policy for a few months, but it might have been nice if the representative called me to ask if I had any questions or if I was enjoying my new account.

Grange was the only insurance company in town that allowed me to purchase home and automobile insurance at the same time at a very good price. The Grange branch in my town has a very good reputation of being honest and straightforward with their customers. The policy is easy to read and not full of jargon and claims are handle in a timely manner. A Grange representative contacts you as possible to let you know when a claims adjuster will stop by and look at your vehicle. I wish my premium would go down like other companies that offer the same benefits, like accident forgiveness when someone hits your car and leaves the scene before contacting the police.

A client of Grange's caused an accident involving four vehicles, including mine. Six weeks later, still no contact from Grange regarding compensation. Their client was cited by the police, and my insurance has found me not at fault, but the response I hear when I contact Grange is that they are still conducting their investigation into the claim to see who is liable. The adjuster for the claim is Annette **, and she has stated that she still needs to speak with one of the people involved in the accident (6 weeks later) and that the individual isn't available to speak until after 5:00, and Annette only works until 4:30. Annette said she's fine to let this go to subrogation. In other words, that they won't pay the claims from damages caused by their client unless taken to court. Believe all the negative reviews you are reading about Grange. They're true.

I was struck by a driver with Grange Insurance and have had the worst experience of my life. I was a pedestrian and was hit by their driver, which broke my ankle. After having surgery to repair it, they have stalled paying my medical providers leaving me, a single mother of 3 to struggle to make payments to them or take the hit on my credit. They have said their claims adjuster was out of the office unexpectedly, they had technical issues, peer review was taking more time unexpectedly, etc. All excuses to delay my settlement when they already accepted liability.
I’ve had to hire an attorney and after months of delays, we now have to file a lawsuit against the driver, as well as Grange for failing to act in good faith to settle this claim. I would never want to have an insurance company that would personally put me at this type of financial risk. We think our insurance companies will protect us in the case of an accident but Grange has left their insured driver in a lawsuit because they refuse to settle this matter in a timely and reasonable manner. I feel aweful for the driver as they will likely need an attorney of their own and begin to experience the stress and financial burden I have been through while dealing with Grange. Think twice before you use them to insure you, as they are not there to protect you, they are protecting themselves while leaving you open to possible financial ruin.

DO NOT USE THIS INSURANCE COMPANY!!! We just had a comp claim due to an accident with a deer. The damage was WELL below blue book and yet they REFUSE to repair it. We were advised the adjuster said he was going to total it before he even looked at it. They have NO compassion, they WILL NOT listen to or reason with you. They know they hold all the cards and are powerless against them. They couldn't care less about what you want or need. They ONLY care about what is in their best interests - period!!!

Updated on 06/01/2019: Rear ended by a dangerous truck on Interstate insured by Grange Mutual Insurance. Have been in Court with Grange 3 years now on my injury claim. They had their insured destroy all the driver logs, inspection reports, then falsify documents to try to cover up the many faulty brake violations. Their Attorney has lied to Federal Court many times already, The lies and the false docs will be exposed at Trial. Very Crooked Co.. they have a whole staff of dishonest in house Lawyers that fight most all claims, State of Ohio SUED GRANGE several years ago (Google Grange lawsuits), it took almost 10 years in Courts, but Ohio finally won apx 50 million $$ that Grange had stole from clients. Beware.. Grange does not pay its claims, and rips off most clients!
Original Review: Was rear ended by a Grange Insured semi truck with many safety violation issues. Suffered head and neck injuries. Grange drivers fault, yet I have had to go to Court for 4 years now seeking reimbursement. Grange in house lawyers stubbornly fight most claims and will cheat victims out of the fair value of their vehicles and injuries. Very shady Insurance company. Many bad reviews on insurance websites about Grange.

Grange doesn’t answer emails or voicemails and their receiving department dropped the ball. The agent lied that I should have my check on Friday. My daughter was hit by a driver with Grange Insurance. Grange does not have a claims office near me. The week before Thanksgiving they called me on a Friday, we discussed an offer for the car to be totaled (the amount had not settled) and I had three days to return the rental... Not three working days. The rental was due to be returned on Monday, I did and my daughter had no car. We looked at new cars Saturday and put a down payment down to hold till I received the Grange check.
After I called and asked, they emailed me the amount they would pay on Monday. I overnighted the papers to them that Monday and email the agent that I had. I called Tuesday at 1 pm. I asked if she had received my overnighted package (the claims agent said it had not been scanned into their system). I checked tracking and my package was signed for at 10:30 am. I called back two times and left messages. I called back at 3:30 pm and gave the agent the tracking number. She said she would message the department and find out why my package hadn’t been scanned into the system. At this point, I still had hope that I would have a check Wednesday (the day before Thanksgiving).
I call a few times on Wednesday morning and left messages. I called at 2 pm and finally got the agent. I asked if my paper had been scanned in, she said they had not and she would call the responsible department. At 3 pm I called her supervisor and told him that the department that scans in received paperwork is holding up my claim. After calling and leaving messages, I finally reached the agent at 4 pm, she had all the needed paperwork, I should have the check Friday and that she would email me. That night I checked the tracking; UPS indicates the package hasn’t been picked up, was 2nd air and was scheduled to be delivered Monday. I checked again today on Thanksgiving Day, hoping that UPS just hadn’t updated. Oh... Well... Still the same.

Horrible company. I was in an accident with one of their clients and they admitted fault. Jeff **, their adjuster, proceeded to give me a low-ball offer for my car. When I told them I found their valuation unreasonable and I felt it wasn't a fair offer, they stonewalled me. They told me it was the absolute best they could do and wouldn't negotiate with me. I told them that if they can't give me a fair offer, I would have to sue their client for the money I feel is owed to me. They told me they couldn't offer me anymore, so I am filing a suit against their client because they refuse to work with me.

Would be nice to be able to talk to someone instead of a computer. Would also be nice to be able to know someone is nearby to answer in questions I have. And the quotes seem a little off. I was told the older you get the lower your insurances goes, I still haven't seen mine go down yet.

My auto insurance is through Grange and what I love about them is that the price is fairly low for someone who hasn't hit the age of 26 and whose mother is also under the same insurance. We can pay up or pay monthly. There's no excessive charges on my mother's bank account. They also send payment reminders. There's also room to keep getting quotes so that my mom and I can get a lower rate.

I am very pleased with the billing and contact information and their website is very friendly to move around in. I have had one claim with them recently and the lack of communication and the response that I got from them was not good. I initiated all phone conversations with the claim adjuster and emails with her supervisor. I would not use the collision repair company that I was informed that I should use as there was no correspondence with them whatsoever. I had to go through the insurance company to find out what the status of my car was. I had to have a rental for a month as it took that long for it to be repaired. Just seemed to be a hassle/fight with everything or it might still not be fixed today.

My experience has been good. They appear to work with me and have been good during accidents. I do believe they are more expensive than competitors but do not have time in my life to review my options. Plan on doing so first of the year.

I have been satisfied with our auto insurance. They are always responsive to questions. Although I haven't had any accidents, we've added vehicles to our plan and asked for recommendations on the amount of coverage needed per vehicle. We have 4 vehicles on our plan ranging from full coverage to liability to the minimal amount of coverage on a vehicle we don't drive.

Have had this company for more than four years with only one problem. I updated my new address and phone number on their website but somehow it didn't get passed on to my local agent. Which caused a issue in contacting me when I bought a new vehicle. Thankfully I wasn't in a accident because the local agent didn't insure my new vehicle for almost 3 weeks after I bought it. And I had no idea!

We get the coverage we need for our family, especially with two teen drivers. I have been with them for over 30 years as well as my parents. Started with them in high school and my husband switched to them when we got married. They cover auto and home.
