    I investigated on the internet about travel insurance and I questioned a couple of my friends. One of them was using Generali and they were happy with whole process. So, I decided to use them and I was happy with my experience as well. They are the cheapest and I told people about them. I always go to their website when I need to and it would be great if they saved the information of a customer who used them a couple of times already. So next time I come, they have my details, then I can just click something and everything goes there. Otherwise, I have to repeat the same things every time.

    My dad recommended Generali for a different trip and it was recommended to him by a flight reservation site. I got it for two weeks for a trip. We bought the policy online, and the website was good. The insurance is good to have. I didn't have to use it but it protects against anything bad that could happen.

    Filed a simple claim for a hotel reimbursement and was taken through unnecessary changes and still did not get reimbursed. Provided various documentation confirming a medical condition which prevented me from traveling. As a disabled veteran with ample doctor's data available you would have believed that the documentation provided would have been enough. This company seems to be more interested in getting your money but not respecting you enough to pay your legitimate claim. Will not be using them again; EVER!

    I bought Generali when I went to Poland about a month ago. Prior to that, I was looking online to get a travel insurance about a year ago when I went to Japan. It was an expensive trip, so I figured I'd buy out some insurance. Right now, the airline system is messed up relatively, and your flights can be canceled at any second. Also, if you get injured in a country that you don't have insurance in, that could be a very bad day. I liked Generali's pricing. I looked at four different companies, and Generali did seem like it had the best benefits for the pricing. A year ago, my foot seemed injured when I was over in Japan. Generali was on the phone with me until I could get everything situated. The process was quick and easy. They weren't trying to beat around the bush.

    Very complicated process for claiming, customer services is indescriptible a mess, online platform do not work or unrecognized my claim. Obviously, Generali Global Travel Assistance acting in bad faith for avoiding to paid to customers their loss. In my case, the fund is already approved for them but the mess online with my name and date of birth was writing intentionally bad, is not way that someone answer the phone to talk with.

I wanted to make sure they provided comprehensive coverage should I be taken ill or my baggage gets lost while out of the country, and other travel issues.     We just bought it and that's it. It's easy. We always wish everything was less expensive these days. But the price was highly competitive. We know we have coverage. We almost filed a claim and we thought the process was difficult. On the other hand, our daughter filed a claim and she had no problem. They got delayed on their connecting flight for their vacation and she filed a claim for the hotel costs and food they advanced for the night. When they got to their destination, they extended their stay for a day since they missed one. There was cost associated with that. Generali Global Assistance paid for that as well. I got an email about the change in name. That was good to know so that the next time I go somewhere, I can find what I'm looking for.

    We were taking a very expensive vacation and Generali had a good cost for travel insurance. Their cost could be a little lower. But it was good. They were very quick in responding.     I purchased a 'full coverage' when I booked a car rental on Expedia, and Generali is the provider. After I returned the car, SIXT said there were damages on the car. And Generali only agreed to pay part of the payment and in the email they told me 'Never agree to pay anything yourself without first sending the information to us, your insurance company. ' After a couple of weeks, SIXT came to me and requested me to pay the rest. I sent a bunch of emails to Generali and saying that I need their help on this, but nobody answered. I called them twice, and they said they are working on it. However, I still didn't hear back from them after a month since my last email and I received an email from a 'debt collection' company.... worst insurance company ever.

    I decided to get travel insurance because I did a month's worth of traveling and a lot of it was excursions. I was told it was best I get it, just in case something happens. I compared everybody and did it online. I also spoke to my client and she said the best one is Generali. They give more than the others and charge a little less. When my flight was delayed and cancelled, the airline had to put me on another flight. I put a claim in and requested my refund. I’m waiting to see what happens. I have easy access to Generali for any questions that I need to ask. I called them because I wanted to make sure I was covered in all the places I was traveling to.

    We were going on vacation and I wanted some insurance in case we couldn't go. I googled and looked at a few different websites and chose Generali. I did everything online, and it was easy to set up coverage with them. I've used them a few times. One time that I used them, my son had gotten sick and the insurance didn't cover it. They said it wasn't a valid claim. They sent me a lengthy email explaining why it was denied. I understood what they said, but they could have been clearer upfront in what the exclusions were. I didn't read the 23 pages. I did skim it, but I didn't study it.

    Purchased travel insurance for my father for a Thanksgiving cruise, he couldn't make it, so we filed a claim, they ask you to upload a letter from the doctor, and other details, never receive a confirmation of the upload, and after some time went by I received an email that said there was a "status change", but they make it impossible to figure out what it is, had to get travel agent that sold us the "insurance" (scam) who reached out and told me the claim was closed due to no response, but I never received any emails or calls. Then you have to get the Doctor to fill out a form, which they are reluctant to do after already providing all the details in a letter. Basically they make it impossible to ever fulfill all their paperwork requirements. I'm sure that if I could get the Dr to fill out the form, I'd need more forms done

    This insurance is a scam. Don't waste your money. My travel itinerary was changed outside of my control. The VRBO I booked had a no refund policy inside 2 weeks before my scheduled trip. I filed my claim and provided all the documentation that was required (which was a pretty ridiculous amount).

    I travel quite a bit internationally and I had heard from a friend that they had used Generali Global Assistance. I've consistently used them since then. The process of selecting a policy is very simple. You just go online. You put in your date. You put in where you're going, and then you're able to choose how much coverage that you want. It takes like a minute. I'm very satisfied with Generali. They do a good job selling themselves because I always come back. I've never had any issues. Their website is easy to manage, and you always get the information really quickly, even if it's last minute. It needs to be within 24 hours. It's a great service.

    I found Generali on Google and the insurance wasn't that much money to cover us for our trip, so it was worth it. I did some reviews and background checks on it and it looked good, so I went with them. If it was just myself and my wife, we wouldn't have gotten the insurance, but we have a young child with us and anything can happen with kids. They can fall down stairs or eat something bad and we have to go to a hospital or a medical. So it made sense. I went through our personal health. We're a younger family and we've never had any health issues. We weren't concerned with the higher tier one, but the lower tier one seemed like it wasn't that much more to go up one tier, so that's what we chose. The prices and process of getting the insurance were good. It was seamless. I would go with Generali again.

    This insurance company needs to change their cancelation policy. I made a trip plan in Feb 2026 for a vacation in July 2026. I purchased travel insurance when I made all my reservations for the trip. Come May 1 due to family health problems the trip was canceled. Go refunds on all reservations, BUT this insurance company takes money knowing it will never have to refund the cost. Won't purchase from this scam company again.
