I’ve never had an experience like this with an insurance company. It was great and I’m going to recommend your company to my friends. I was happy with this policy when I bought it on Dec 14th 2021. I have since found a better deal and have been trying to cancel my Ethos policy for 48 hrs now. These agents were tripping over themselves to sell me the policy. Now that I am trying to cancel no one is getting back to me. Not happy.

I was pleased with the simple application process. So many life policies take weeks to get started due to the medical exam process. I wish the option to add contingent beneficiaries was part of the application. I will have to submit these separately, I suppose.

I found the application process easy to navigate. Also, I like the fact that their website allows for you to leave and come back to where you left off. For me that made the whole experience very enjoyable. They have so many options to choose from with regards to term life policies. Thank you.

I just appreciated that applying was as easy as was advertised. No hassle, no intensive investigation into my medical history. No waiting period or underwriting interview. And, I liked even more that I was provided with options at the end of the online application. Not just a one and done deal.

The whole process was really smooth. What a great breath of fresh air to go thru such a great process of shopping and submitting for insurance. The agent that called me was very easy to talk to and was a great resource to have while finalizing this process. I cannot encourage everyone enough to give this a try if you need insurance and want a new nearly automated process of applying and getting insurance. You will not be disappointed!

I made a call to your corporate number and talked to a representative. He was very helpful and answered my questions honestly and to the point. I asked questions and he answered them. The only thing I cannot figure out is my order number. I have a policy no. but no order number as of yet. I will be waiting for my policy to review in greater detail. Sincerely, Gary

We looked for an affordable one, the most amount of money and affordable for my age because I just turned 50, and we signed up with Ethos. It was mostly done online, so the process was very simple. They take my money every month and I'm hoping that they'll be there when we need them.

It was super easy and affordable to get life insurance policy online. I was well pleased with the price and how quickly I was able to get the quote and therefore I purchased it without hesitation. The only thing I would recommend to do differently, is that immediately after I finished purchasing the policy, I then got an email wanting me to "finish the application process" that I had just gotten confirmation about. This did leave me slightly uneasy, but after again confirming I had made the purchase, I simply ignore that email.

This was the absolute worst experience I have had with any company I have ever done business with. Your website quoted me 54.00 per month. Then when I filled out all the info AND gave my credit card info, you billed me for 122.00 per month. This is a blatant lie. At best it is immoral and possibly illegal. I will be contacting my states attorney general about your practice. I contacted your company AFTER I was billed this insane amount and told them that I was cancelling the policy and wanted a refund for the money that you deceptively took from me. Be expecting an investigation into your practices. I will not drop this until your bait and switch practices are stopped. You have offended me greatly by your actions.

The email states that I can read about my policy details online. I have signed into my eservices account and it just shows me how much my policy is worth. It give NO other information about my policy. I will be calling them today and hopefully the customer service reps are better than their eservices or I will be requesting a refund.

Ethos looked like a good company. The way the website was set up is they offer recommendations and then you just decide what policy you want or what amount that you want for your policy. So, it was pretty easy. The website works very well. Also, the prices are fair.

As a 55 year old American man, I have faced some relative minor health issues (imagine that) - but otherwise I'm healthy. When I first left the corporate world, I went out to look for coverage. After a few months and a lot of actual paper work, mailings and doctor visits, I was rejected by several insurance companies for really minor or insignificant health reasons.
My doctor was amused at one of these upon review, as one was reported back to me as "rejected" due to a 4 month late test on a PSA test she marked as "a consideration to move from 2 year to 1 year tests after 55." Basically I had done everything my doctor requested in the last 10 years, had been even given a doppler vein test for detecting early blockage (the most likely issue for a 55 year old) and was rejected for a test she had simply moved up from an every other year test to a test at each years physical. Nothing unusual and was a very prudent decision. I thought wow, this is way too intrusive and buffoonish of an action by what I assumed was a reputable insurance company. I was very concerned and disappointed by the old tired broken processes.
I was not happy with the process to simply find a small policy for 250k coverage as a middle-aged American. So I found Ethos on an internet search. Ethos went out and found me 250k insurance at a pretty good price. I can tell you it was about as easy as you can make it. You simply determine the coverage, fill out a 5 minute questionnaire about who you are and health, you allow the insurance companies to contact your doctor to match the questionnaire (just a verification you're telling the truth) and presto an email to select your coverage and make an initial payment. Thanks ETHOS! Well done and I will recommend to many others. RMW.

I think I received a pretty decent rate for Term insurance. In the future I'm looking to convert over to whole life if that's possible. Furthermore, the application process was extremely fast and easier than expected it to be.

I have a prior policy through Ethos with Assurity. The prior experience was so easy, that I came back to Ethos. The communication this time was more difficult. I got a couple of requests for details and replied right away. Then a questionnaire was needed. I kept replying that the attachment said the questionnaire was no longer available without response. Then I started getting replies that I had 3 days and my application would close if I didn’t reply. I ultimately called in and was told I would get a call back by the end of the day. No one called and I thought “forget it… I will go elsewhere when I have time to apply elsewhere”. Then yesterday I got an email that I was approved. Not sure why things were not as easy as last time.

Please make your website able to email policy documents, I have not received my insurance policy documents and have been paying for this since August, it will not allow download in Outlook, well you go to the website and it will only send you a link to access your policy documents to my email which is Outlook, it cannot be accessed from a browser to download, please have someone contact me or email my policy documents.

I like that with Ethos you get personalized customer service. You can talk to an agent. You’re not talking to a machine. They knew everything and they're very professional. I’ve only met this guy, and it's like I've known him for a long time. Enrollment process was easy and fast. If you have any issues, you just get ahold of your rep or whoever is handling your account, and they get back to you really quickly. Using Ethos is a good value for the money. It’s very competitive. It's personalized.

Getting life insurance is usually a fairly big hassle. If it's over 150,000 to 200,000, you have to have whole work-ups and doctor's appointments, so it becomes a very involved process, and so my expectations were just that it could not be this easy. But Ethos exceeded my expectations. My schedule is such that everywhere around where I live, they're like, “You need to come in for an appointment. I can't put anything together and email it to you.” But it gave me a lot of flexibility to be able to do it when it worked for me versus having to take time off of work to do it.
Also, the pricing was far more competitive and affordable for good coverage than what I could find. I pay almost 58 bucks a month, and locally, the closest I found was 150 a month for that same kind of coverage. If I had a question, they would respond. Sometimes, my questions were late at night, so I didn't get a response till the next day, which was completely understandable. But the communication and response time was better than what I would have anticipated. I've already told a few people about it.

I was at my bank and I was adding my mom as a beneficiary and they asked if I have life insurance. I said no and they told me to give Ethos a call. The guy that I talked to was very informative and gave me different policies. I recommend to people is that it's better to have more coverage but not to go outside their budget to where they can’t afford it.

The only thing I noticed was that when I did some tests trying to see if I put in somebody who's a higher risk candidate, there was an awkward transition going from you're super healthy and great and we're gonna put you on banner versus the next carrier down. If only Ethos could make that a little bit more seamless. But the process was really easy and the support that I got was on point. I'm happy so far.

I had people come to my house and offer me insurance long ago. I called tons of people trying to find an insurance that I liked and when I got to Ethos, everything was right there. So, that made it very nice and easy to work. By having Ethos, you don't have to worry about everything after you're gone. You have a life insurance policy and you know your family is gonna be taken care of. So, that's the most important thing. Working with Ethos was easy and the only thing that took a while was where they had to get your medical records. That took quite some time so, that was a little disappointing. But everything else went smoothly.

My Father recently passed and though I told him to prepare himself he always avoided taking care of the inevitable. So myself and my Sister were then scrambling to take care of his affairs. Never did we mind but it put things in perspective as the stress the loved ones then have to deal with. I was previously prepared but not as much as I want now looking at all that goes into. Not just the funeral, but the spouse, the loss of income, the debt, the kids. It’s so much. My sister actually suggested I check out Ethos and loved how easy it was. So I said why not.
I am a Disabled Veteran who has a thick medical record and after a few additional questions they approved me for what I wanted and was willing to add more. The online application was very easy to fill out. The updates from the company during processing were very reassuring and supportive. Once I finally called my Dr to ask them why they aren’t sending my medical records, I finally learned they needed me to sign a release… I did this yesterday at 445pm, got an email from you confirming their receipt at 6pm, and by 10am today I found out I was approved!! I couldn’t believe how fast you guys work. Plus, David ** is who I spoke with this morning, and he was fantastic. Very polite, easy to understand, helpful, and truly friendly. I liked that there was no medical exam and I could just sign up for it online and get the exact policy I wanted. And the price seemed very comparable to the other policies I had looked at that required a medical test. I have four little kids, which is why I want a life insurance, which is also what makes it hard for me to get to a lot of appointments. I filled out some stuff online and it gave me some pricing information. They had to probably verify my information that I told them. Less than a week later, I got an offer and I did it all online. It was very easy. Ethos was exactly what I was looking for and I got exactly what I wanted at the price that I thought was very fair.

The person I talked to knew what he was talking about. I had no issues whatsoever and he answered every single question I had and got back with me. I also didn't think that I was going to be able to find a reasonable price policy to replace the one that I lost after my hours was changed and I lost my policy at work. I saw Ethos' prices, and they were too high, so I didn’t get it. But they called me and said they had a plan for 40 something dollars, and it was for a $100,000 policy so I decided to take it. It was a nice experience. The only thing was that I told them to send me my policy, and they did, but they didn’t correct my wife’s name. I tried to call them back, but I couldn’t get ahold of them. I'm still waiting for their call back.

Marcus followed up with me after I’d emailed asking about whether I could be approved 45 days or so after applying for life insurance. There was no medical exam even though I initially applied for the maximum financial benefits based on my then-income. He responded quickly and sent me a calendar invite to choose a time to speak. When we connected at my chosen time (on the dot) he made it easy for me to change my benefit amount since I’d recently switched industries and was making less than before. I was on the phone while he changed my rider in all of 5-6 minutes. He made it SO Easy! Marcus was incredibly friendly, warm and helpful… I wish I hadn’t waited so long to take care of this but now that we own a house it’s finally no longer an option to just carry my employer's minimum coverage. Since I was treated for mild anxiety 4 yrs ago (and not medicated by the way) it's taking them 3 weeks and still no answer, just a ton of emails and more questions. I received an email saying my life insurance policy had been canceled, I spent all day yesterday trying to get through to somebody to answer questions as to why or even if?? No one has gotten back to me except late yesterday someone randomly emailed me and said they would get back to me today I still haven't heard a thing. The entire online process was seamless from beginning to end. Once you enter the requested information, their system recommends a coverage amount for you, so you don't have to figure it out yourself. There's even an option to customize the coverage, either up or down, after their suggested coverage amount! In addition, an agent calls right away to be sure to address any questions or concerns you may have, which was a nice touch!

The entire process from start to finish was good. It is illegal not to list upfront that your policy is a limited benefit policy for two years prior to closing on internet. Dept of insurance is now aware and will take appropriate regulatory action against your company and your internet ads need to be pulled down as they now are.

Immediately after paying for first month of coverage I tried to sign up for automatic monthly payment. Was unable to do so and tried calling the supplied number for help. I waited over 45 minutes and nobody answered! I finally hung up and tried calling several more times. Still nobody answered. Is this the kind of service I can expect? If so, cancel my policy now.

Make sure you want this insurance before signing up, they say you have 30 days to change your mind but the day after I signed up I called and left call back numbers all day with no return call. Now my only option is to contact my bank and tell them ETHOS are scammers and destroy my debit card and get a new one and I will also be out of the first month premium by having to go this route.

Hi, I am upset that the policy quoted me $35 and then forced me to pay more than double that at $81.81 to continue the application. The structure of the questions was also not worded well. Not a great site.

I was looking for quotes on several sites. Little did I know the sites were collecting information and sharing it. When I was ready to purchase life insurance, it was easy. However, afterwards I found an application with my name on it with lots of information I did not share with Ethos. Some of it was not even correct. I can appreciate compiling information. But at least let me review it before you put my signature on it.

When you first see you’re signing up for a million dollar policy over (10) years. Once you pay, it tricks you and find out you signed up for 21,000. Nobody wants to be fooled like that! REFUND! Why would this company put its future clients and beneficiaries in the predicament!

Life insurance is the next domino in the digital revolution. Ethos made the process extremely simple with no work on my end despite the fact that I have a heart valve condition. Due to that condition my application was unable to be approved automatically, however Ethos handled all the follow ups with my doctor and I didn't have to do a thing. I also still didn't need a medical exam and the whole process only took a week.

The agent started my policy with my credit card that was used to verify my information without my permission. I had specifically said NO to the policy 3x's. My credit card alerted me about a purchase as soon as I was off the phone.

Getting a policy with Ethos was a good experience. It was a fast and simple process. Although the client has to submit a lot of necessary data at first once the policy is approved it is a breeze. Ethos and their team were very helpful and friendly through this entire process. Christopher, out of California, spoke to me over the phone and was very thorough, helpful, and enjoyable to work with. He was able to answer all of my questions and got my policy set up and activated in a short amount of time. I also worked with Campbell ** with Goosehead, who recommended Ethos, and he was also very helpful through the whole process. No issues or problems to report at all with any part of this process.
