I think that high, medium, and low settings should be for the purpose of manually adjusting temperature for yourself. It cuts itself down to a lower temperature on its own, which alters how your food turns out.

I purchased a double wall oven in 2022 from Lowe's. It was cleaned as directed. By 10 months the ceramic coating was literally coming off on the tracks for racks and on the bottom of the oven. Because it was under 1 yr old Whirlpool replaced it. The new oven was slightly different and had more updated features. Also cleaned as directed same issue by 10 months. I have lost my confidence in this product to last beyond 1 year. I use my appliances. I have a large family and enjoy cooking. We'll see how Whirlpool handles this a second time.

I purchased the Whirlpool 5.8 cu.ft. gas range Model WEG745H0LZ1 last year. The knobs to turn gas on are located at the front of the range facing up. The hazard that I'm experiencing with the range is the knobs. As I showed the technician that came to investigate, the knob can be turned on unintentionally just be going by and touching them. The mechanism that keeps the knobs locked is weak and it can be turned on if by accident you touch the knob pushing it down just a bit. When it first happened, I thought I had done something wrong, and after the 5th time I was alarmed. I was cleaning the counter and went to get something in the other room, my husband came in the house to the smell of gas.
The technician called Whirlpool and was told there was nothing they could do. I'm certain I'm not the only having this issue and to me this is a life threatening hazard. The solution I was given was to purchase the child proof covers for the knobs. I don't have little kids and now I have to have these bulky covers, because Whirlpool can't take the time to resolve the issue.

We recently renovated our kitchen, starting with a reliable Whirlpool fridge. With that in mind, we decided to add a Whirlpool range, dishwasher, and over-the-range microwave from Home Depot. Since we were still renovating, we didn’t install everything until two days ago. After installation, the burners worked fine, but the next morning, the oven displayed an “ERR EO F3” error code, which Whirlpool says requires a technician visit if power cycling doesn’t work—it didn’t. Home Depot directed us to Whirlpool, but their customer service offered no solution. With this error, the oven is unusable, even though it’s brand new. An oven that fails without even being used? I can’t recommend Whirlpool, especially with limited support and only an extended warranty option on their line. Avoid this brand. By stating that eve.

My Whirlpool range is only 6 years old and I have had several problems with the oven. MODEL WFE770HOFZ2. First I had to replace the baking element on the bottom $62 and now I had to replace the probe that shows temperature in the oven $133. It did not fix the problem and now I am being told it is probably the motherboard which is over $300.. Ranges should last a lot longer than 6 years. I am very disappointed in the life of this appliance and the quality of Whirlpool since they were listed as a top rated company.

I bought a Whirlpool pool glass top stove in 2020. Bought the 3 year warranty. No problems. This is year 4 and sparks shot out of the vent & the stove stopped working. Had a technician come out, it needs a new board that's $450 without labor. This should have lasted longer than 4 years. I would not recommend Whirlpool.

This review is for Whirlpool range with 5 burners. I bought the range on December 2020, I don’t cook much and I am very careful person with all my electronics and all my appliances. On December 2023 the control knob located second from right broke, how?? I don’t know, I went to use the stove, turned the knob and broke, just like that, my husband made a phone call to the parts department for Whirlpool and they sold us the piece for $38 dollars plus tax and shipping, Last week I was cooking and happened the same thing that happened last year, I turned the knob and was loose and broken, as I said I bought the knob in December 2023. We are in September 2024. Only 9 months later and is broken, I called the parts department again 866-698-2538 and I requested a replacement because obviously the part is defective, why the same knob keeps breaking? Why the other 4 are in good standards?
They told me to call customer service, I called customer service after pressing all the bottoms on my phone I got a customer service, I spoke with her for 55 minutes, just for her to tell me that they don’t offer any warranty in any pieces or replacements and sent me back to the parts department, after I explained to her that I already made that call and they sent me to customer service, I requested to talk to a supervisor, which wasn’t available but was kind enough to leave a message on my phone, the message said “This part did not come from us, and we didn’t replace, we didn’t collect the money on it."
Just to let everyone know I bought the knob from whirlpool parts department, they have the records, dates and amount I paid on December 2023, seems that the parts department and the customer service are two different worlds in the same company, Just story short you can get the same knob at Walmart for 9 dollars, my advice save yourself time and aggravation. Don’t buy Whirlpool appliances. Their customer service is not the best, their departments are miles apart, they don’t work together as one company, their replacement parts as knobs are low quality, and if you like me, already have your whirlpool appliances, look the parts online. You CAN find the parts online in few minutes, for a fraction of the price they charge, and no aggravation.

Not a lot of thought went into the design and engineering quality control. Knob labeling confusing. Worse this is the sharp edges on stainless metal. Be very careful when cleaning cooktop. I’ve sliced open a finger and hand doing a simple wipe down. Sharp where class meet stainless steel. Sharp edges along bottom of stainless below the poorly labeled knobs.

I was told that that’s normal. I Burnt myself on it twice by just touching the display to turn oven off & on, that too got very hot. But was told that’s normal too. Because how they handled the problem I was left with nothing else but to get rid of it and buy a new stove. I did want my grandson to burn himself.

I recently purchased a Whirpool gas range (Model WEG745HOLZ) from Lowe's. I won't get into the delivery/install nightmare I had with Lowe's. That is another rant. First time I used the stove, the front burners would not go as low as simmer and the oven was only heating to 250* when I set it for 350*. Called Whirpool and they sent out a tech to "fix" the problem. He said that the stove was designed to only go so low and that there was no simmer setting and that I should set my "bake" time a little longer. Not acceptable. Called Whirpool back and told them I had gotten a manual temp gauge and the oven was off by 100*. They said I should not rely on a manual gauge, but there was something in the settings that I could raise the temp. Grrrr!! Fixed that problem then I noticed that my cabinets were getting very warm when using the oven.
Called back, they sent out a tech and he said this is the "new normal"! And if I called for a "non-repair" again, I would have to pay for it! Now I am really ticked. When I tried to clean the oven with the new Aqua Lift technology, it does not work. I ran the cycle twice and all the stains did not come off. The tech said they discontinued the good old fashioned method of high heat burn off. I am very upset and feel that I wasted my $1700.

This Whirlpool range/oven Model # WFE320M0J53 DOES NOT preheat at any desired temperature properly. Always 35 to 45 degrees less than desired setting. I have had a Whirlpool technician out for repair and was told it was a bad temperature probe, he replaced it and it still does not heat at desired setting without having to up the temp and continue to check it with a oven temp gauge. Since I have had two independent techs out for the same issue and both said this product from Whirlpool is pure "garbage". As you can see in photo it has been preheating for 50 minutes at 485 just to get it to 450! I DO NOT recommend this range from Whirlpool!!!! This was a new oven/range that came with a new house! When we called customer service to tell them that it’s not working properly, they told us we’ll have to pay the service charge even though it’s under warranty for one year and they kept insisting the range works as it is supposed to and they refuse to fix it. We cannot cook our food because it lights up and then it doesn’t come back to the proper normal heat. According to them, it’s a safety feature, which makes no sense, if the temperature is not maintained how the cooking process will be completed.

I called Whirlpool to replace the Stove Range because I was embarrassed in the presence of my visitors because the stove was not working right. I called Whirlpool and was told that they only repair the Stove range but they cannot replace same. Presently, I am seeking legal advice because I do not want this stove range in my house. This is the 2nd time in an oven not even used 3 years. Whirlpool should be ashamed of this product. I am beyond angry and frustrated and can't afford to buy a new appliance right now. Do not buy this hunk of garbage.
Original Review: This range is 2.5 years old. I've endured the inability of using 3 of 4 burners because low is like medium high. Only 1 will go low. Bumping the knobs turns on the gas. You will burn yourself on the exterior oven door due to improper insulation. The top is unbelievably difficult to keep clean. And now the oven is broken and out of warranty. It tripped a breaker while not even in use and now won't heat. Having a repair tech come out to take a look which is $100 not including repair. I've seen multiple complaints about same issues with this range so obviously whirlpool is producing garbage.

This worthless piece of range came with new home purchase. Purchased new build home in April 2023 so far had to call whirlpool 4 times for service. I have asked to speak with management regarding my concerns of the solution they are providing but steady sending technician out to fix a new range! It’s bad when the technicians will tell you that Whirlpool will rather send them out which will cost 3x as much of just replacing the range!
This is such a huge inconvenience, imagine oven going out in the middle of cooking dinner, then you have to wait several days after not being able to prepare your family a meal just to have someone come out to say another part is needing to be ordered. Waiting yet again to be able to prepare your family a meal by use of oven! My house came with a new Whirlpool wall oven. I filed the warranty papers in May 2023. I subsequently filed a support ticket since the oven took 1.5h to heat up. Documentation claims 15-20 minutes. After this, I have had 5 visits, 1 by an electrician that verified that the correct electrical current reached the oven, and 4 visits by a certified Whirlpool technician, certified and recommended by Whirlpool as a result of filing my support ticket. We are now at September 17 and my oven still does not work. The certified Whirlpool technician has replaced the control board, the wiring harness and the broiler element. None of these efforts have solved the problem, the oven is equally useless as it was in May 2023.
During the last visit, the certified Whirlpool technician said that a recommendation to replace the oven would be filed with Whirlpool. When contacting Whirlpool, they were not aware of this. I have a visit scheduled for September 25 with the certified Whirlpool technician. It is not clear what the technician intends to do, since there are no more parts that can be replaced in the oven. IMHO, it should not take 4-5 months to find a solution for a brand new oven not working. I have very little confidence in Whirlpool being able to solve this problem, and cannot recommend their wall ovens or warranty support.

He called Whirlpool's tech assistance line and they basically told to to keep replacing things until it works again. This, of course would cost more than the darn thing is worth, so we are obviously are not going that route. We called an appliance repair company. The whole motherboard was shot. 450.00 for parts plus labor. I was devastated. We had control panel failure with each of two uses of the self-cleaning feature with careful following of the step-by-step instructions in the manual. I feel certain this cannot be an issue that's never been reported to Whirlpool(WP) with other consumers. They refused to cover the issue, but thankfully we had a home warranty.
Sadly, when the home warranty company reached out directly to WP for them to service the device, WP reported (after 3 weeks of attempts) that they were not receiving the service requests from the warranty company. They refused to service their own product. Another well-known and established company sent a repair person to problem solve and install parts. It is noteworthy that when we purchased our home, the owner had remodeled the kitchen just 2 years prior to our move-in. The kitchen and appliances appeared new and the owners had obviously not used them often, or at all. The home was vacant long before move in. The first oven failure occurred at 2 years old and now again at 4 years old. It would appear the control panel lasts for under 2 years.
It is frustrating that WP would not stand behind their product or service their product under a reputable 3rd party home warranty company issued service requests 5 times. But, the real hook, line, and sinker, is how disappointed we are that we can't use the self cleaning feature on a $4000 oven. We will be replacing the oven in the future, but not with another WP; that is for certain. I think Whirlpool's niche are washers and perhaps they are still quite good at that. Perhaps they should stick with washers.

I have to say that I am someone who has never written a negative review. That said, the KitchenAid double wall oven I purchased for $3,000 is an astonishingly poor assembly, reflecting a complete lack of interest in quality control during the manufacturing process. After it was installed, no one could miss that the doors were both badly askew. Whirlpool promptly sent a tech to make a warranty repair, but the problem could not be repaired. So, today, Whirlpool installed a replacement under the warranty.
The doors on the replacement unit are not askew; they are simply in the wrong place, leaving a 1/16" space on the right margin and a nearly 3/8" space on the left margin. There is clearly a fundamental flaw in their manufacturing process. Where is this junk assembled and by whom? Why don't they seem to care about their product?

They insisted that the issue was installation and informed me that I had to wait until their contracted repair company (in Tucson) would come out and diagnose the issue. We waited almost one month for the repair company to come out and let us know that the conduction panel needed replacement along with the electrical panel. The repair company told us that it would be 2-3 weeks for the parts to come in. Meanwhile, I have been staying in touch with Whirlpool asking for a complete replacement.
After waiting another 2-3 weeks, I reached back out to the repair company and they told me that they didn't have an ETA on the parts because they were backordered. Not only could they not locate the product through their manufacturer but Whirpool was also out of stock. I called Whirlpool and was told that there was an expedited order placed (after I called) and that now I would have to wait 21 business days for resolution. If the part cannot be located within 21 business days, my case would be escalated to another department that would try and locate the parts. If the parts cannot be located, I would then be passed to a second department for a replacement review. At this point, I have been waiting almost 2 months without a working gas range. We purchased all major appliances from Whirlpool, to furnish our new home in August 2021. All appliances were white. The top of our gas range began discolouring immediately following the first use. The inside of the four corners immediately began to ware due to heat. I figured I'd have time to put my claim in, and thought to see if it got worse. Once I finally had time to deal with the issue, I contacted them only to find out that we only had 30 days from the date of purchase (of which included 3 months of waiting for the products to arrive) to claim the issue, given that it was considered "Cosmetic". Easy fix, since they'd simply have to change the top of the stove, but Whirlpool denied our claim. Do not purchase this product, unless you're looking for a sub-standard product and customer service.

It is my belief that through my experience that most Gas Range manufacturers mainly Whirlpool corporation purposely designs the stove igniter part to fail in 5-10 years. They do this in hope the consumer will purchase a new stove. The igniter in my stove has failed 6 times since I purchased it in 2005. I have had to replace it at my expense each time. The last time it failed, I asked Whirlpool if they would do a good faith gesture and replace it. They very rudely refused. I will never purchase another Whirlpool appliance again and encourage others to follow me. If they give me this much grief over a simple good faith gesture, I can only imagine the difficulties in getting them to honor a warranty claim!

We purchased a new Whirlpool Cooker (Model Number YWFE745HOFH2) in June 2021. Our first disappointment came when we used the Self Clean function to clean the oven. Unlike our previous Whirlpool cooker (which we were very pleased with) this required us to put water into the bottom section of the oven. After the advised time the oven was exactly the same as at the start of the process. For readers of this review I would like to stress that the oven was not excessively soiled. We just wanted to try out the feature. In August my wife dropped a ceramic cup onto the cooker top and the top shattered completely. This, of course, was not the fault of Whirlpool, but we were shocked that the damage was so extensive. A new cooker top was ordered and arrived at the beginning of October (dispatch problems). After each use of the cooker top it has been cleaned with a recommended cleaning product.
Today I accidentally allowed a pot of rice to boil over and, although I immediately removed the pot from the cooker top and wiped both the bottom of the pot and the top before continuing, the residue will not come off of the surface. It looks awful! We had our last cooker for over 10 years - if I could afford to I would get rid of this product tomorrow!

My Gold Series Whirlpool Electric Range is 3 years old. The main board for driving the burners, oven, etc burned up which caused my oven to go from the 200 degree setting to 450 in about 3 minutes burning everything that was in the oven. They want $400.00 + installation to replace it and that is if one can be found to actually install. The stove was purchased for $850.00 because of the Brand and now they want half that value to replace a board that will likely fry again in a year or two. I find there is no value for money and will not ever buy a Whirlpool brand again.

Stove was purchased in June, 2021. Two months later, oven will not heat up!!! Contacts Whirlpool, and TEN days later, a service person finally shows up. Problem appears to be a circuit board that they don't have, and has to be ordered! When will it arrive? He has no idea!!! I called Whirlpool, but it's frustrating and a waste of time. You only get to talk to someone that appears to be reading from a script! If we're lucky, we'll be without an oven for one month; however, it could be two...or three...or four!!! My advice: Don't buy this stove/range!!! Not only is the oven an issue, but it just seems flimsy and subpar quality, especially the oven door. Called Whirlpool customer care for help with identifying make and model number of a slide-in, ceramic cook-top range (one of their popular brands). The representative was cordial, patient and very helpful when it came to giving me directions on how to locate make/model information on the unit. That was until I let her know about a recent problem with the stove. The edge of the cooktop is much too sharp! My hand got cut while wiping down the stove top/adjacent counter. Although I've had the stove for a while, I'd never had that happen before; that's probably because I used a thin rag this time around to do the cleaning.
I asked the rep if anyone else had reported getting cut by the stove top. She said, "No." I let her know that my goal was to just them know about the situation, because such a sharp edge on a cooktop is a safety issue. She disagreed. But what could or should she have said? In all fairness, it came down to balancing loyalty to the company with genuine care for the customer.
I do appreciate how kind she was in communicating with me, but am very displeased that once I'd shared about the problem she seemed rather dismissive of the situation. How could the risk of being cut NOT be a product safety issue??? If you visit the Consumer Products Safety Commission website, you can see where 'risk of laceration' is a reason some products are recalled. Based on that understanding, I would say that sharp edges on a ceramic cooktop IS a safety issue!

When the repairman arrived on 09-09-2020, he opened up the stove and checked it, and he told me that a computer part needs to be replaced, as well as the igniter, and the cost would be between $400.00 and $600.00 (I don't remember the exact amount), I told SEVERAL times, maybe it's just the igniter (for which the cost would less than $100.00 AND already included in the $134.95), but he insisted that the computer needed to be replaced, I did not like the way he explained it to me, it did not make sense.
After that I was planning to buy a new stove, as the repair was too high. But, I decided to try to change the igniter myself before getting rid of the stove (the igniter cost was $21.00). I just got the igniter recently, and installed it, with help from YouTube, and what do you? THE STOVE IS WORKING!!! This is fraud!!! I really like my new 5 burner gas double oven gas range made by Whirlpool. Except for 1 minor flaw where the backsplash panel warped at the beginning and was promptly replaced by whirlpool I have had no problems with my range, love having 5 burners and a double oven. Plus the left front burner has a much bigger burner with higher btu which helps water come to a boil way faster than any other ranger I have ever had. That is a real nice feature and I really like having 2 ovens, When cooking on an average day for my small family there is no need to heat up the big oven and the little oven is just the perfect size to bake 1 or 2 dishes. And on holidays when I am cooking for more people or many more dishes I have the capacity to cook more items.

The oven has not worked correctly from day one. I have to use a thermometer plus after the correct temp is indicated I still have to wait another 15 minutes for the oven to reach the desired temp. Also have to set the temp for 25 degrees higher than the one I want. The burner that supposedly has two sizes in one is basically useless. Temps are not correct and sizes are misleading. There is a tiny groove around the outside edge of the stove top that gathers crumbs which are hard to clean out.

I closed on our new home in December 29, 2019! The first issue we experienced with our Whirlpool Oven was March 2020! The first technician who arrive in March 2020 was supposed to replaced two parts, but, one part in her possession was the wrong part that Whirlpool ordered for an electric oven, not a gas oven! Since March 2020, three additional technicians have been sent out from Texas Home Appliance Center, and accomplisnhed nothing! As a matter of fact, the third Technician, Edward, came out to service the oven and all he did was turn the oven on! He had no instruments and did not appear to check on any other issues! Three visits from Technicians later, I finally received a call from a Whirlpool Supervisor, today approximately, 1:47pm CST!
Her explanation was the following: The documentation from the so-called professional technicians stated there was no issues with the oven! Even though the oven is still not operational according to its specs! There's even one part that is missing where Whirlpool ordered the wrong part, ac cording to the Technician. And, we never heard from that Technician again with respect to the followup on the missing part! The Supervisor I spoke with today ~1:47pm today, Dec 9, 2020, stated I was welcome to call again to place a warranty work order, but, if they don't find anything wrong with the oven, I would have to pay for the visit! This is ridiculous on many levels.
I will be writing other reviews to influence the public not to purchase Whirlpool Ovens if this is the kind of Customer Service Orientation they will received. This is unacceptable Customer Service Orientation! I have a Whirlpool oven, where 3 techncians have serviced it, and, it still doesn't perform correctly! It still takes 30 minutes to cook a can of biscuits, and, they still required more time in the oven! Whirlpool states if the documentation from the technicians states the oven is working properly, then, Whirlpool cannot do anything for us - even though the oven is still under warranty! UNACCEPTABLE! We bought a Whirlpool range with glass cooktop and convection oven to replace a 20 year old stove which had served us reliably but was beginning to look a bit dated and worse for the wear. The new range was installed in February, less than 2 months ago. Today, while I was preparing Easter dinner and had a ham in the oven, the cooktop elements refused to heat, even though the "cooktop on" light was lit up. We followed all the troubleshooting tips we could find in the user manual and online, but nothing worked. We decided to do the rest of the meal in the microwave and just finish the ham in the oven (which had been working). Then the oven failed, and would not heat back up.
As a last resort, we pulled the range out and unplugged it, to perform a "hard reset" of the electronics. (This was recommended in some of the online troubleshooting tips.) No joy. Both the oven and cooktop elements will not heat, even though the lights on the control panel light up. Now we have to call a service technician to come fix it in the middle of a pandemic. How can a brand new and expensive range be less reliable and less useful than the cheap 20 year old stove we just got rid of?

I thought Whirlpool was a good brand and a reputable company until now. Please beware when buying appliances, whirlpool is not reliable or reputable.

I Purchased a Whirlpool range with self cleaning. I do not recommend anyone to purchase these ranges. The self-cleaning does not work at all. Like numerous reviews that said you can run them several times to do the self cleaning and they do not clean at all. Save your money. Do not purchase a whirlpool appliance!

Please DO NOT purchase an appliance with Whirlpool. I have had my double oven WiFi for 7 months. It has worked great. They did a update on it and I have had an hour glass for 2 1/2 weeks but the crazy part was they sent me a part, had it expedited 2 day shipping on a Friday and I didn’t get till Thursday of the next week. Go figure. So they send a new part and guess what? It’s broken and my oven doesn’t work once again. The other part is they have to wait for the code on the error 3-5 days. One we are going on week 3 with no oven and at this point I call and tell them my husband can run to Lowe’s and take a control panel off a new stove and put it on or better yet something is wrong with this oven. I need another oven because at this point I’m extremely pissed. Please DO NOT buy any products with this company. They SUCK!!!! They should replace it and pay me for all the meals I have had to buy.

We purchased a new home in August 2019 and our builder had Whirlpool cooktop they installed. A month later they recalled the cooktop. We contacted Whirlpool and they said we could get an older version with knobs or take $1,000 and they could pick up our old one. We said we would get back to them. We called back to ask why just the $1,000 to replace the cooktop? Most of the cooktops that would fit are more than $1,000. Whirlpool said, "Oh it’s not a $1,000. We can give you $1,547 to replace it". Then we said ok.
Then a couple days later we found out they offered our neighbor with exact same cooktop an induction cooktop with new set of pots and pans which are a lot more than $1,547. We call back and asked why. They said, "We can’t do anything for you. You took the $1,547 for your cooktop". So we would certainly not recommend Whirlpool to anyone. Their customer service representatives are shady. I guess you need to just keep calling and complaining until you get as much as you can from them. If not you're not going to get much out of them. Their customer service representatives are not very friendly either.

Our Samsung self cleaning oven burned out. The wires in the back were burnt and brittle and it's a miracle our house did not burn down. While shopping we were told the new self cleaners were so much better, not the high heat, odor etc. This Whirlpool stove does not self clean, it's a joke. I have scrubbed for hours on it. It does not get any kind of grease etc. off. You need to scrub and work hours. It may take a small spill off the bottom of the stove but that's it. There is no way to get all the grease splatters off the walls etc. I hate this stove and see there was a class action law suit on it. If I would have known then what I know how it would have gone back as soon as it arrived. I plan to go looking for another stove and it will not be a Whirlpool Aqualift self cleaning.

I bought my Whirlpool Convection oven in mid August 2019 from Lowes. I have had to call no less than 5 times about my NEW oven which I am extremely remorseful of buying. I am so unhappy with my experience mostly due to my expectation that my new oven would have been able to meet my demanding needs baking and cooking. I would have thought that it would have lasted longer than 4-5 months. The bottom left hinge is faulty which I am told is an undocumented problem for this particular oven. I noticed that it was having a problem when the oven wasn’t quite making a seal. Slowly it got worse until now it makes an initial click then I can open it about 5 to 6 inches and then have to lift it up so that I can open it without making a horrible noise and a dent in the frame.
The first time I called was on Saturday Jan 4th. It took me 1 hour to get through to speak to a person. I asked why I couldn’t get a new door to the oven and they told me the hinges have to be installed separately because this model is made to be able to take the door off for cleaning purposes. They set me up for service on Wed Jan 8th between 12 and 4p. I wasn’t as unhappy at this point. I even got a text saying that the appliance company would be coming between 12 and 2. At 12 when I woke up after working nights, I got a message saying that they hadn’t received the part yet and that there would be no point in them coming. I called Whirlpool again and they told me that the part was on backorder and that in fact the part had to be fabricated and it may take up to 10 business days but that they would have the part sent directly to my house. By this stage I am very unhappy.
I called back this morning and told the person that I would rather have a new oven or my money back and that my less expensive and less decorative oven that came with my house lasted me 20 yrs. I get a lot of “I’m sorry” and “I apologize” but that doesn’t fix my problem. I also told them that now the frame of the oven is being dented so I am going to have a less than perfect appliance which is no fault of my own. The only info the person could give me is the tracking number of the part they were able to locate which would be coming Fedex.
I tracked it and it was due to come no later than Tuesday night. So I called the original service company in my area who told me to call to set up the service time when the part came in. I figured I would get a jump on it and call. They told me that they were all booked up this week and I would have to wait until next week. Do you think that this is how your customers should be treated? I feel as though I am being punished by choosing to buy an appliance from Whirlpool. I then tried calling back to set up an appt with a new company but the wait time was too long. I had just worked nights and needed to get some sleep. I called back this afternoon and again had to explain the whole situation AGAIN. I was able to set up an appt with a different company for Monday between 12 and 4 which happens to be on Martin Luther King day…so I am hoping it is not a mistake.
Do you think this is fair treatment for a customer who just bought a brand new oven less than 5 months ago? Would you like this type of service? Would this give you any confidence to buy products from Whirlpool? I don’t believe that I would be able to recommend Whirlpool in good faith. The people who I have talked to have never been rude or disrespectful however, I feel as though my unhappiness is just par for the course. I feel as though it is just my tough luck and “oh well so sorry” instead of the attitude that you want to make everything right as quickly as possible. I ask myself if the problem was the store I chose to buy from? If I should have gone to Sears and bought one of their products or where I went wrong.

We bought a Whirlpool with convection oven, it is beautiful and very well designed and fully electronic. You can only control it via touchscreen Which, when the software runs into blocks, it is impossible to troubleshoot efficiently, you just have to wait until it completes its rebooting. It is very frustrating to spend hundreds of euros in a device you just can't control when it crashes. Horrible programming made for a horrible user experience. You have the feeling of not being able to use it or fix, it is like having a mobile phone or computer Which only works on what appears to be a random logic. The errors displayed on the screen are often vague and the user troubleshooting manual is just plain short. We will return it without doubt and don't recommended ever buying this device.
