I have a Whirlpool gold series from 2015. I have replaced all the knobs several times bc they are cheap plastic crap that break easily. The oven has never heated food evenly for whatever reason it’s always done on one side of the tray and raw on the other side. Currently the stovetop burners at least two of them the igniters are clicking without lighting the burner. This will cost an arm and a leg to fix.

I have model WFGS5030RZ It does not ignite the oven properly and will say it is 160 degrees in the oven with the door open and the oven has only lit for 3 minutes. I have a service person some cause have only had the oven for 2 weeks. He is ordering a bunch of new parts for this new oven and will try that. But after reading on of the other reviews sound like this model is a pink elephant. Whirlpool has been NO help and only want to sell me an extended warranty for for something I have only had a couple of weeks.

NEVER BUY A WHIRLPOOL RANGE WITH STEAM CLEAN. It does NOT work. I was disgusted after the first steam clean. It loosened something that was not baked on. Other than that, the oven looked the same after steam cleaning. Also, it is impossible to get through to Whirlpool. You just get a bunch of automated messages that do NOT ever connect you to a person. Shame on them. What a terrible way to run a business! I would give it zero stars if I could.

I purchased the Whirlpool 5.8 Cu.Ft. Slide-in Gas Convection Range in February 2025 and so far the technician has been to my house 5 times to fix the same issue. The issue is the oven just stops igniting, there is no pattern to when and how often this will happen. They have replaced everything all the parts in this "Brand new oven" and in November when the technician came out he said there isn't anything else they could replace. However Whirlpool will not replace this range they keep saying a "Master Technician" must come out and deem it replaceable, however Whirlpool keeps sending the same technician. I think this is a ploy with Whirlpool and they just want to get past the 1 year date, so they can say it's older than a year so we can't help you. If you want a range that will work DO NOT PURCHASE A WHIRLPOOL!!! Now my only option is to hire an attorney.

WER9100S Whirlpool stove. This is a complete disaster of engineering. After two years, the electric digital control for the oven, timer, and clock falls downward. As it was out of warranty, I removed the burner controls, and unscrewed the cover for the front portion of the stove (the electric digital control is in the center of this cover). I could not believe that the control was held up with double-sided tape. No screws or connector of any type held in position; therefore, when cleaning and apply pressure, this control just sank down. This allows water, grease, etc, and prevents cleaning, and creates a hazard as the electrics are now not sealed and open to the hand. There is NO good way to seal and hold this control in place. Very poor design and engineering - simply put, this stove is a piece of shit. Whirlpool should be ashamed of this product.

This complaint against Whirlpool and against Flamingo Appliance Service, the Miami, Florida-based repair company that Whirlpool outsources to take care of the repair needs of Whirlpool appliance owners located in the South Florida area. My wife and I purchased our Whirlpool stove in the Fall of 2024 (Model: WFE535S0LS). We have owned and used numerous gas and electric stoves in over the last 31 years of being married and we have NEVER encountered a worse stove than the brand Whirlpool makes.

The Whirlpool stove we have is dangerous. As we reported to Whirlpool, the stove's left front burner heats hotter than the right side front burner. This overheating resulted in a kitchen fire that required our calling the Plantation (Florida) Fire Department for the first time in our lives. Luckily, we always keep an updated home fire extinguisher on hand in our home. We have NEVER had a kitchen fire in all our lives. The kitchen fire took place not long after we purchased the Whirlpool stove and were cooking a dish on that left front burner. The two tablespoons of cooking oil that I had in the wok literally burst into flames before my eyes and shot up, requiring us to replace some of our new cabinets. This was due to the front left burner heating up hotter than the front right one. We called the Plantation Fire Department to deal with the smoke and to make sure everything was safe.

We made an appointment with Flamingo Appliance and a service person arrived at our home on Monday morning, December 23, 2024. The technician came out at 11 am and examined the stove, claiming that the front burner operated properly. We told the technician that cannot be the case because both my wife and I have trouble with the front burner and now only use it to boil water as a safety measure. The technician refused to have me prove the difference in temperature by having two small pots of water boil at the same time. Instead, he relied on a gadget that looked like a no touch thermometer, We told him we had NEVER had a problem with a stove, till we purchased Whirlpool.

After much back and forth, the technician left the house to take a call -- he claimed he had to take it outside because "his cellphone power was low." When he returned from his van/truck he told me his company said that I was at fault for the fire, that there was nothing wrong with the stove, and that they would make no repairs, not even on the back panel. I am disgusted how Whirlpool and Flamingo Appliance Service would put the health, lives and property of its customers in jeopardy in order to save a few dollars.

Lowe's won't warranty it, sends us to Whirlpool. They said they'd send out a tech but failed to put us on the schedule (so they say). Finally came out the third week of October and said the master control needed to be replaced. Order part. Said it would be a week. And here we are the week of Thanksgiving and nothing. Last email said December 8th is the estimated date of repair. Lowe's just gives us the runaround. DO NOT PURCHASE Whirlpool, and especially DO NOT purchase from Lowe's.

When this range works, I love it. But, unfortunately it has constantly had issues. Currently, the Convection oven setting works but not great. It has a hard time getting up to temperature. The regular oven setting doesn't work at all. The bottom element isn't heating. The elements have been replaced and they shouldn't be out in less than a year. I don't feel like spending more money on a fairly new electric range.

Temperature calibration is WAY OFF even after servicing. Quality control stinks. Do they test these before they ship? The controls for the stove top are primitive on/off and are not proportioning controls. Apparently no one at Whirlpool ever tried cooking or baking on this “Gold Series” product. I am rating my Whirlpool oven a 1 based on a) how well it functions, b) original purchase price, c) cost of repairs, d) reliability.

    1. Takes a really long time to preheat and burners take forever to boil water. One burner has never worked on high.
    2. It was a mid-grade purchase, not cheap. So in 2025, it would cost $2400 to replace based on similar products.
    3. Right after the warranty expired, so did the main control panel. It cost us $500 and we did the repair ourselves. We have now replaced it a second time. The components rust and I am sure it’s designed to fail after a certain amount of time. (Planned obsolescence)
    4. One of the burners control knobs stays on when it’s in the off position, which is a fire hazard. We have to fiddle with it to find where off is.
    5. The fan stays on for a long period after use.
    6. Convection… not really. I don’t think the fan is strong enough.

    7. If there’s a power outage the oven will not work for weeks, nor does the display, yet stove top works. Randomly, it will start working again until the next power outage.

Purchased a Whirlpool range 5 years ago and am already having to replace it. Within 48 hours of installation and on its first use the fuse blew for the interior light. Had that fixed and a few months later it blew again. Didn’t bother fixing it. The panels on the face have peeled off and now the control board has broken. It is the second most expensive part and between that purchase and labor it is less expensive to get an entirely new unit. This should not be the case after only 5 years of a well maintained appliance… My whirlpool dishwasher also has a slew of issues…. Do yourself a favor and avoid whirlpool.

I can’t speak from authority regarding other brands, but have to say I’ve been very disappointed with this oven. I had an older model with solid metal burners instead of coils, but finally (after 25 years) had to replace it because the heat control was no longer reliable -when trying to slow cook at low heat, it would either burn the bottom or all but shut off. Unfortunately, this new one started doing the same thing within a month or two after purchase. Turning the knobs and getting the desired heat level is about as reliable as spinning a roulette wheel. Also, it is made from cheap metal and rattles like I’m throwing drink cans into the recycling bin every time I put a pot on. Finally, the control panel looks simple but is very confusing and complicated to navigate.

We purchased the Whirlpool Electric Cooktop Model #WCC31430AB in July of 2024 to replace a GE electric cooktop that had worked great for around 20 years. We live on a Farm and raise most of our vegetables which we preserve every year using the pressure canning method. We had never had any problems with our GE electric cooktop which consistently maintained a high enough temperature to safely pressure can food. The new Whirlpool electric cooktop comes with burners that have a built in mechanism that causes the burner to shut off when a certain temperature is reached. This design is not only unacceptable but is dangerously unsafe when you are preserving food.

When I tried to contact Whirlpool all I got was a voice mail and was never able to talk to anyone to try to resolve this. I ended up having to buy a special burner that replaces the factory burners that will at least maintain high enough temperatures to maintain pressure long enough to safely preserve food. However this burner has drawbacks as well because it does not sit flat on your stove and causes issues with your canner working correctly. I would give this product 0 stars if that were an option. It does not meet our needs and is basically UNSAFE!

The Whirlpool Glass-Top Stove produces uneven heat making meal prep very challenging. The temperature is either too hot or too cool. Any adjustment to the control dial turns the burner heat off or sends the heat to the max amount. The above are not design issues. These stove-tops are designed to be "efficient" and "save energy". Is the American public at risk of running out of energy?

I have been cooking for 46 years and have never had a fire, nor do I need to be babysat by a stove! AND, 1 of the elements hasn't worked from the first day it arrived. This isn't a problem of the stovetop, it's the elements itself. AND, the oven stopped working within 2 weeks. I'm already waiting for a repairman. I called Whirlpool. Whirllpool says that there’s nothing that they can do, they push their extended warranty. And want me to pay for a serviceman to come out here to repair it. In my opinion, a stove should’ve lasted a lot longer than 15 months! Buyer beware. I will never purchase another Whirlpool product again. It’s a waste of time and money. The products are being made cheaper and cheaper and their life expectancy keeps getting shorter and the prices keep going up. They need to build a better quality product. Wow! I thought we had problems with Whirlpool until I read all these reviews. We purchased a home in 2015 with all new Whirlpool appliances. Our refrigerator failed after 3 years, our dishwasher failed after 9 years, and our glass top stove/oven unit has been problematic from the beginning. One of my 4 burners has an issue of not heating with anything other than high. I NEVER leave anything cooking on the stove. When I am able to get the burner to cook on a lower setting, it changes heat to high on its own. My sister-in-law has the same unit and she is experiencing the same problem. She absolutely hates the stove; I live with it for now. Note the picture. The burner is set to low and water is boiling away. I set my watch to remind me to turn off the burner so the water will not boil away. That doesn't work on everything I cook though. Buyer beware. I hope you read all these reviews.

We ordered a new Whirlpool free-standing range because our Whirlpool range of 22 years was having some minor issues. We thought about repairing our old one and should've just figured it out. The new Whirlpool was delivered in May of 2024, the front left burner started getting too hot and one of the screws from the bracket on the element started falling out almost immediately. We just put up with the issue until our oven completely stopped working after 10 months of ownership. It took Whirlpool several days to get someone out and they just said they needed to order parts. A week and a half after the service call, I still don't have a working oven, additional functions have now stopped working, and I can't get the appliance repair company (they have bad reviews online) to call me back. I had to sit on hold for over 25 minutes over two different calls for Whirlpool to get in touch with the repair company, at which point I'm told the part isn't scheduled to ship for FIVE more days.

I get on the site where you order parts (same site the repair company orders from) and if I were to purchase the part TODAY I would receive it on the same day as the repair company. Obviously the repair company didn't order my part and now I'll be stuck through Easter with a barely working range. I work full time and cook for my family every single day...even if it's just pizza. Being without a fully working stove for 3 weeks is inexcusable. Shame on Whirlpool for making subpar appliances at a high price. The previous range was in my house for 22 years and was a base model...there is no excuse for spending so much money on an appliance that cannot even last a full year. Shame on Whirlpool for not contracting service work through reputable companies. I'm beyond aggravated...beyond disappointed in this brand.
