We had a brand new Armana Dishwasher and the electronic control board was defective, causing the heating element to melt through machine. Whirlpool was kind enough to replace the unit, but the delivery was a complete disaster. Since it was a week day appointment, my tenant had to work, so I took the day off and drove 120 miles to the house. I made several calls to Whirlpool, the warehouse and the delivery center during the day to try to find out an exact time instead of waiting outside for 4 hours.

The only information I received was that it was a 3rd party delivery driver who did not answer their phone and could not be reached. At the very end of the delivery time frame (6pm) I called the delivery company JB Hunt who recorded our conversation and still had no information about when the driver would arrive. Upon the 3 hour drive home I finally received a phone call from the delivery driver at 7:15PM saying they could come by now. Still to date I have not received the machine, any explanation, or apology for the inconvenience and loss of wages for the disastrous no show.

They wrote this to me in response to my email complaint: "Sometimes service companies may use various contacts for supplying Whirlpool repair parts. There may be times that the part distributor they have utilized does not have the component available immediately, even when that part is available directly from Whirlpool."

This was my response: "It makes no sense to me that I should have to reach out to the service provider - Whirlpool assigned them to me, I called Whirlpool - this line in your response indicates to me that there is no accountability: If your dealer/service provider is having difficulty obtaining a replacement part, please have them contact their Whirlpool account representative directly, as we may be able to provide assistance in locating or expediting the part needed.

I should NOT have to reach out to them to tell them to contact you to get a part that they need - it makes no sense. You should have some semblance of control and oversight as to a service call that was initiated by YOU. I expect my dishwasher to be in working order, or completely replaced before the end of this week. I would rather just get a check and buy another brand dishwasher."

Whirlpool. Avoid. UPDATE! Bought a Whirlpool dishwasher from Costco. The control panel failed. Tech was out on 5/10. Whirlpool can not locate the part some eight weeks later. They are unwilling to fix/replace the machine! I have called several times only to hear they have a process they are following??!! Avoid purchasing a Whirlpool product. UPDATE: After a two-month wait for the part, it was installed only to fail again after one load! Called Whirlpool and Costco who have set me up for another appointment. So frustrating. Technician came. Needs parts that are on backorder as well. Looks like another eight weeks. Still refusing to replace the machine!

Bought WDF520PADM dishwasher brand new with our home only 7 months ago. About 3 weeks ago noticed the dishes were not cleaning well, then it all together stopped working. Would fill the bottom, nothing further. Repairman was here today and it needs a new motor! He said 3-4 more days for parts, if not backlogged. Luckily it's still under warranty. 7 months, used 3-4 times a week, motor shot.

Buyers beware, bought a expensive dishwasher that is only 18 months old, started throwing a code. Had a technician come out. Said it was leaking from pinholes in the stainless steel tub. He took pictures and went to the dealer that we bought it from to see if they could do anything. They said it was said it was a factory defect, so they contacted their rep and he refused to do anything about it, they tried for over a month and he just quit responding to them, Same thing happened to me. Called several times, same thing. Would not stand behind it. I will never buy another Whirlpool product, they do not care about their customers or their dealers that are selling their crappy products!!

I should have had better judgment, but I didn't know how old the original Whirlpool dishwasher in my kitchen was since it came with the home that I bought in 2019. When it stopped working in Feb 2022, I purchased another Whirlpool dishwasher all the appliance with the same brand. Big mistake because 10 months later in November the dishwasher stopped draining. Since November, I have had about 5 service repairs. The dishwasher is still not draining. They blamed it on a defective sensor and even my food grinder.

After each repair, the same problem, water remains in the dishwasher at the end of the cycle. Let's not forget that it leaks because the water won't drain out. They offered to extend the warranty to May 2023. Which I accepted, but still no resolution. They also offered a 40% customer loyalty discount for me to purchase another dishwasher which I refused. I explained to them that I was being loyal by purchasing your brand the first time when I should have known better. They need to stand behind their product and replace it when it is defective. Long story short, they have another senior technician due to come out in May 2023. Save yourself the trouble, don't buy Whirlpool.

Bought a new Whirlpool dishwasher Model WDT750SAKZ in June of 2022. It worked well for nearly 5 months until it didn’t work at all with a flashing error code of E FE- no such code in the manual; it took over a month for us to get an appointment with a service provider (the 1st provider that didn’t show went out of business before the technician was dispatched) 4 months, 3 holidays w/out a dishwasher, we are in February 2023 now. The service provider has been here four times and he seems very knowledgeable about dishwashers. In between visits we waited for new parts to arrive twice - with COVID delays I can accept long waits for parts and service, not my issue.

After the third visit, the service provider closed out the case and communicated with Whirlpool that a solution could not be found and a new dishwasher should be provided. We’ve had several phone calls to Whirlpool customer service -each time waiting long periods on Hold- one time for over an hour only to be put on hold while the csr reprimanded his child for over 10 minutes without realizing he had never muted his phone. The last phone call to a CSR was made approximately a week after the third service provider visit when we had heard nothing from Whirlpool about a replacement. I asked to speak to a supervisor but was told that The supervisor would not speak to me And Whirlpool required the service rep to come back again. So we made another appointment and waited several weeks for another visit.

The service provider was here today for a couple of hours – Whirlpool tech support took over an hour to respond to the provider and was annoyingly chewing/eating throughout the conversation. The technician was asked to manipulate the control panel which was replaced on the 2nd visit. BTW the control panel is warped. The first one warped too, I assumed from heat or moisture but the dishwasher hasn’t been run since the panel was replaced. I would hope that would be the end of it but Whirlpool is now requiring the technician to consult with their engineering department. Am I jerk to think that Whirlpool should dispatch another dishwasher already and fix this one on their turf? Why would anyone want a Whirlpool product if It takes hours to get through to Customer service and months to get an appliance fixed?

We own a Whirlpool dishwasher and fortunately, we use it often because In the month it was going to lose its warranty the pump died. Also the silverware rack was designed so that it's impossible to put silverware past the soap holder regardless of its in its designated spot, and pulling the silverware rack out is very difficult because there aren't stoppers on the sides of the holding buttons. Basically, it was designed by a retard.

Don't buy a Whirlpool product, you will regret it. We read the reviews at the Lowe's store and bought what was supposed to be a top rated top of the line dishwasher. We should have looked further. First mistake, buying from Lowe's. Don't do that. The machine was delivered and installed by Lowe's. It leaked. The installer came back and said "not our fault factory defect". The factory rep came next, he claimed installer had left a clamp off. Two weeks later he came to install that, it still leaked.

Two weeks later he came back and determined the "pan was miscast" and that isn't a repairable problem. The factory disagreed, there is a multi-hour repair that can be done, we can find someone willing to do it and ironically, that multi-hour repair can be done exactly two months after we purchased this junker, in your kitchen, maybe. New tech looks at the factory order and says they can do the repair but they don't "uninstall" appliances, someone else has to take it out and put it back. Here we are, back to square one.

Both these appliances were covered, fixed, under warranty, except for the spoiled food in our refrigerator. Then in February of 2021, the dishwasher quit. Since February of 2021, we have changed 2 Control Boards, and two wash pump motors, now this last control board has failed. And now replacements are OUT OF STOCK everywhere. Called place where I bought unit and they told me I had to call Whirlpool as they will not replace without a service call. No technicians available and was told someone would get back to me within 7 days (longer than I have had the unit). No response and I called back.

Was told again that a warranty representative will be in touch within 7 days. No way! Not an option and badgered until I spoke with someone now about a BRAND NEW UNIT. Someone got back to me a day later saying they have approved a new unit but not available for 2-4 weeks and I would have to pick up from same dealer I purchased from. They will only cover $150 of the $250 I paid for delivery and installation. The final woman I spoke to gave a bit of attitude that I was in the wrong on this and I should be more patient. I don't know how companies operate this way. Unfortunately, I don't think this is just a Whirlpool issue as my LG products were junk too.

Whirlpool is actually worse than Pulte, had a service rep come out 2 weeks after first reported, said it needed a new motherboard and pump. They ordered the parts and said when they show up call us and we will come back to replace.

Parts still have not showed up and they make us go through their escalation process, today was supposed to be the final day of escalation and if no parts they are to replace the unit. Called today and was on hold for about 1 hour, finally talked to someone and we have to wait one more day for the final escalation process to be complete. Who knows what will happen at this point. I bought a Whirlpool 18 inch dishwasher WDF518SAHW in February 2021. In June 2021 it broke down with an E4 error code displaying. Whirlpool sent a technician from Toronto Appliance Service. The tech verbally advised me that there is a design flaw with the appliance where the sensor trips too easily so this issue will happen every 6 months. Unfortunately, he didn't tell Whirlpool that so they refused to exchange the product. 8 months later, in February 2022, the E4 error code appeared again. Whirlpool sent a tech from Ignite who replaced the sump pump. Now in August 2022, I am getting the same issue for the 3rd time and all they're offering is a 35% discount off a new purchase from their brand family; Whirlpool, Maytag, Kitchen-Aid, Amana or Jenn-Air. Perhaps the one I received just happens to be a bad apple but the way that Whirlpool is handling it is why I would never trust another purchase from them again.

Water heater serviced: no problems, working perfect. 12/2021 after using every brand available, interior and dishes were completely wet, even 4 hrs after cycle ended. 1/2022 2nd warranty call, different company sent out. I purchased a Whirlpool Dishwasher in late 2020. Within a week of having the dishwasher installed, I found a water leak with the product. I contacted Whirlpool immediately. Below is a record of all the encounters I’ve had with the company. The first repair technician came and could not find anything wrong with the product and left. The dishwasher kept leaking for a month, so I scheduled Whirlpool to repair it. The second technician came and tried to repair the dishwasher. The dishwasher kept leaking for a couple of months so again I called Whirlpool for repair. Because the company from the first two technicians were fully booked for the next couple of months, Whirlpool scheduled a third technician from another company. The third technician could not fix the issue.

I called Whirlpool again and the support told me the problem is with the type of detergent I was using. She said once I used the detergent she recommended the issue will go away. I changed detergents but the issue remained, so I contacted Whirlpool and they sent a fourth technician who thought he found a solution but it didn’t work. I called Whirlpool and told them they have already sent “four” technicians over, how many technicians do you need to send to have the product repaired or replaced? Whirlpool said they need to have at least three visits from a technician from the “same” company try to repair before they can take additional actions. So the fifth technician came and once again tried his method and it didn’t work.

At this time I’ve had a leaking dishwasher in my house for 11 months. I called Whirlpool and they said, "We need to send a technician one last time." This technician will call Whirlpool’s specialist to diagnose the problem. Only a Whirlpool’s specialist can determine the product is unable to be repaired; that is Whirlpool’s company policy. I asked why I’ve had five technicians come and none of them called Whirlpool’s specialist. Whirlpool’s support response was because no one asked them to. The sixth technician came, called Whirlpool’s specialist for a solution to fix the dishwasher. A month later the dishwasher is STILL leaking. I called Whirlpool and the response was the same: "We will send you ANOTHER technician."

I asked: how many failed attempts do you need to take before you can replace the product? Whirlpool’s support response: “We need to continually send technicians until one of them determines the product is unfixable.” I asked to be transferred to a manager for a better solution. The next part of the story I’m going to keep it short. I was transferred to 5 different departments, and I was on the phone for 3.5 hours. I finally got to a representative who looked at my case and determined that the company has taken enough effort to fix the product and will replace the unit.

Unfortunately, the difficulties do not end here. The person delivering/installing the dishwasher could not find where to turn off the water so he left the dishwasher in my living room and left. After I found where to turn off the water, I reschedule for installation. The second delivery/installer that came said the first dishwasher that was left in my living room was not the right model, so he took it away. He then delivered and attempted to install a new “damaged” dishwasher. Because he found the dishwasher damaged so he took it back and asked me to reschedule again.

I called Whirlpool indicating how much time I have wasted dealing with installation and delivery. Their only response was that they export the delivery service to another company J. B Hunt so they take no responsibility. To conclude I’ve purchased a damaged Whirlpool dishwasher for over a year. Since then I’ve had 6 technicians come and replaced the product. I’ve had 2 failed deliveries and installations. I’ve wasted many “days” waiting for technicians to try and repair a damaged product they sold me. I’ve wasted hours being put on hold for support.

Also, our mugs don't fit, well on the other side, inside the fingers. Maybe our dishes are on the larger side...I don't think so but like I said earlier, it does a good job cleaning the dishes.

After 14 years of good service with Whirlpool Duet front load washer dryer set, wife chose Whirlpool kitchen appliances as part of a kitchen update project. All matching fridge, range, microwave hood and dishwasher. What a nightmare! The icemaker growls and whines all the time and the dishwasher was broken before being packaged at the manufacturer. A wheel from the middle rack was missing when the dishwasher was opened. It wasn't in the sealed dishwasher nor in the box. So it had to have been broken off before the item was boxed. We called for warranty claim and A-1 Appliance was recommended out of Shreveport, LA. In a few weeks he showed up, looked at the rack for a while and said "I'll have to order a new part." I said fine. (How hard can that be? Right?) So here we are 5 months later, unable to use the middle rack because it can't hold any weight with the roller missing.

Multiple calls to Whirlpool and A1 and we keep getting promises and runarounds that turn out to be lies. How hard is it to say "go to your local Lowe's and we'll authorize them to give to give you a rack from an in-stock dishwasher?" Let Lowe's wait on the new part! Sounds simple, and any other company would have done that, or told us to return it to Lowe's for another one. But NO! Whirlpool just whines about being behind on parts, shorthanded, or lies about the part is in and it's A1's problem now.

So, today, same story. A1 says they need 2 parts. **! It's one part. Whirlpool says A1 has the needed part. Same old runaround. So, we just replaced our 14 year old washer and dryer with NON Whirlpool units. $2500 more in of appliances that Whirlpool could have gotten, but I'm guessing they don't even care about missing and losing sells. They certainly do not care about warranty, parts, quality, customer satisfaction or repeat customers. Never again with Whirlpool! Beware!

My dishwasher was only 18 months old when the rack adjuster broke causing the top rack to collapse. I researched and was able to order the replacement part which now comes only in metal. (The original Whirlpool piece was cheap plastic.) I spent $40 for the new part and spent several hours installing it without any help from Whirlpool. Then when I tried to use my dishwasher it wouldn’t run. Repair person came out and diagnosed it with a pump assembly failure. Part alone was $222 and it was on back order. Extremely disappointed. I have tried to contact Whirlpool to see if they would at least offer me a discount on the part. Their customer service number is never available. On hold for so long I finally gave up. I called Whirlpool back and was told they were the only repair company in my area they worked with BUT if I could find a company that would do warranty work call back. So I did only to be told I would have to get the work done myself and submit a bill. BUT she says, "Let me check with someone else, please hold. I’ll be right back." I have noticed over the last 15 years or so they are getting more and more poorly made. First I quit buying the plastic tub ones because they collected mold on the back. Then putting one in a rental, we went through 3 brand new ones that all leaked before we got a good one. Now, I bought the very best for my home 2 years ago, had the pump replaced under warranty due to leaks. Now, the plastic upper rack wheel has snapped off its plastic base. For under 30 dollars you get a replacement kit for it, that is all metal. So why didn't Whirlpool just put in the metal ones and charge a little more. So this will be my last Whirlpool, and all the brands they make. Do your research, many of the name brands you know are all made by Whirlpool.

Of course the warranty was up, a month prior. She said she would send a service technician out to see why it wasn’t drying. They charge 75$ a hour plus a service fee for coming out. I told her no. She said she would drop the service fee since it was only 13 months old. I asked how long he would be here, she had no idea. I didn’t make the appointment because I felt I shouldn’t have to pay anything because it was only 13 months old.

She didn’t agree. Since then it has gotten worse, it doesn’t dry anything, maybe the dishes. I have to put the silverware rack on a towel by and dry the silverware or put it away wet. I’ve bought jet dry a few different ones and no luck. I would not recommend anything from Whirlpool, especially a dishwasher. We have new wood cabinets. A disaster from start to finish. I would give it zero stars if possible. Purchased from Home Depot online in September, 2020. The first delivery was scheduled for October 11, 2020 at 7am on a Sunday. I spent hours on the phone trying to get the time changed. I was assured it would take place later. That didn't happen. The delivery service Temco called at 6:30a and refused to come back later. I had to make a new appointment. A week later they delivered the dishwasher, left it on the porch, refused to uncrate it or bring it inside the house, refused to haul away the old machine and stole the Dishwasher parts kit that I had paid for which delayed installing the dishwasher. After the machine was installed I discovered the machine did not come with a manual. I was told I had to download and print the manual.

When I complained that I should not have to use my paper and ink to print a user's manual after paying $800 for a dishwasher. I was promised a check to offset my costs. I was supposed to get a credit for my inconvenience but that never happened either. The first time I ran the machine using the one hour cycle water was all over the machine and I had to dry inside. I was told that I had to use a longer wash cycle so I did the second time. After 4 hours of washing, the glasses had a film on them, even though I rinse the dishes before putting them in the machine the dishes had some debris on them and water had still collected on the top of the glasses.

Whirlpool sent a repair company out and the technician said motor pump and display control were faulty and it would probably be cheaper to replace the dishwasher rather than repair it. I was told I would get an email the next day telling me what would happen. I never got the email. During the week I called Whirlpool and Home Depot many times to complain about the faulty dishwasher, stolen parts and the promised refunds for my inconvenience as well as having to print the manual. Calling Whirlpool or Home Depot customer care will take hours and gets you nowhere. A week after the repair person came out I called the repair company to request a report as to what had been done and was told that they were coming back out the following Monday to fix the machine again.

Monday, The repair technician came out and replaced the control panel but not the pump. The machine won't heat up to dry the dishes--the heating coil wasn't even warm after being on for 8 min. I am supposed to be contacted again for a 3rd visit!! I have a dishwasher that is faulty (read lemon) and Home Depot won't allow me to return it because their return policy is 48 hours after delivery. Whirlpool refuses to replace it unless the technician says it can't be fixed. Obviously, that will never happen. I should have repaired my old dishwasher rather than waste my money on this horrible machine. Whirlpool used to make fine products but those days are over. How does running a dishwasher for four hours saving energy? My old over 10 year old Whirlpool dishwasher was perfect until the pump broke. The dishes were always clean, dry and came out of the machine hot and sanitized. I am so disappointed in both Whirlpool and Home Depot.

Yes, it's currently under warranty, but I'm afraid to keep it without an extended warranty due to all the issues I've had with them. So, now I'm going to be spending hundreds on an extended warranty. We purchased this Gold Series Whirlpool Dishwasher about 4 years ago. It worked very well up until April of this year. At that time, the main pump stopped working and it has to be replaced. There are just two of us in the household so the dishwasher was only used 2 or 3 times a week. We also kept it very clean with no build up. The gasket around the soap dispenser came out and one of the wheels fell off of the bottom rack. We just feel that 3 1/2 years is too soon for a major appliance to stop working and fall apart, especially given the light usage.

In our case we found, when using those detergent pods, to make sure that they are pushed all the way into the dispenser before you close the lid, or the lid jams. Other than that, the dishwasher got the dishes nice and clean. However, after just two years of using it maybe 3 times a week (there are only 2 of us) the motor died. You'd think a new motor ought to survive at least 500 cycles. Anyway, parts and labor was quoted at nearly $400. Debating whether to fix or replace the dishwasher. Might try ordering a motor and pump and replacing it myself.

My china and glassware are fine and it is a quiet unit but this gook I have to keep cleaning up is gross. I clean the removable filter and screen 2-3x a week but the stuff gets on and in every place it can cling to. It's a greasy, smelly muck. Am posting in regards to a brand new dishwasher that I purchased the first part of February 2020 from Menards. The dishwasher I bought is Model # WDT730PAHB and Serial # F94519386. I had the dishwasher 10 days and it stopped working after running only two times. I checked the breaker box and all electrical connections to the machine and it was getting electricity, but would not turn on at all. I called the store to return it and they only have a 7 day return policy.

Since then Whirlpool has been contacted and I have had two service calls from Whirlpool. The mother board has been replaced (which I waited two weeks for the part & five hours for a service man) and still it will not come on. Now I am waiting on a wire harness, ordered on March 4th or 5th and still not here. I completely understand wanting to fix a "broken" machine, however this was a new dishwasher that only worked for 2 washes. I have now been without a dishwasher for almost 2 months, which in light if our current world situation isn't a huge deal, however this is a time when sanitation is very important. I feel like Whirlpool should offer to replace my new machine with a new machine and not something that is refurbished. At this point it is costing more to "repair" this machine than to just replace it. Every time I call Whirlpool I get the line of we have to repair it. Give me a break. As this is apparently a common thing with these dishwashers the company sent a new pump, free of charge, but we still had to pay $150 for the install. Now, less than 2 years after purchase, the dishwasher refuses to drain. I wrote to the company, they are not interested. Don't buy Whirlpool, you are only throwing money away.

We bought this dishwasher only 18 months ago and it's not worth the money we paid. We have had cheaper models that cleaned way better and didn't need as much maintenance as this one. We already had to spend another $410.00 in having the motor replaced in it!! When calling Whirlpool it only has a 1-year warranty and to have a technician come out just to look at it is $150.00. It is so hard to see in the part where you put the jet dry it doesn't tell you when it's full or empty and no matter what it always leaves the dishes wet after. Our other dishwasher that was a way cheaper model always cleaned our dishes and never left any food on the dishes unlike this model and we even rinse the dishes beforehand! Look for another dishwasher to save yourself money in the long run!

I had been using rinse aid, which I think is ridiculous to have to buy an additional bottle of something that’s not even cheap just so this thing dries dishes but moving on...

Now it’s been 1.7 years and I’m having more problems. Top rack of dishwasher is broken and falls to the side every time you pull it out. The door to dishwasher also no longer has any spring. I take very good care of my things and this just unbelievable. I called Lowe’s they won’t help because it’s been more than a year! I guess Lowe’s can’t stand behind their merchandise for more than a year because they know they’re selling garbage. This company should be avoided at all costs. Purchased 2 Whirlpool dishwashers in 2018 and in less than 2 year the top dish rack glide rail front wheel broke off causing the rack to drop down and render the dishwasher unusable. Warranty was one year and I went online only to notice that the OEM factory replacement part(s) are now made out of stainless steel (or aluminum). I also noted that the parts were made prior to 2015 (date on the video and other vendor sites) Which is a good 2 years prior to my purchasing of this product. This means that they obviously knew there was an issue but continued to produce and sell them with known faulty parts well after they realized at least 2 plus years when you consider that they would have had to re-tool, redesign and send to production prior to the product release date.

So it looks like they have continued to sell the product knowing fully well they were defective and did so just to sell replacement parts or to use up existing parts inventory. Either way this means this company has no scruples and does not stand behind their product. Another stain on the reputation of products made in China! Shame on you Whirlpool!

I don't take pleasure in writing this review and to the readers, please know that this is the truth without bias. Before you buy from Whirlpool or purchase their extended warranty, you should know: I am writing this review based on my personal experience. I purchased the extended warranty in 2017 (approximate) for three years. In 11/2018, our Whirlpool dishwasher, model wdt920sadm2, which was purchased with our new home in 06/2016, began having issues and was not drying the dishes properly. I called Whirlpool warranty and requested service.

Approximately 10 days later, a repairman from Convenience Appliances Service Inc. (repair tech) came and fixed that problem (wasn't drying). My wife turned on the dishwasher the very same day and we came back and the floor was flooded with water. We believe this was contributed to the initial repair and has never happened prior to that. Fast forward, approximately 5 service calls or more later (not embellishing), the dishwasher is still not repaired and the technician can’t figure out where the leak is coming from. On 02/25/2019, I received a phone call from Ms. **, Whirlpool/AIG care team (AIG is the underwriter) and was offered $540.75 and I would be required to complete a “proof of destruction affirmation” form.

I accepted the offer and received an email the same day stating: "Thank you for contacting Whirlpool Extended Service Plans Consumer Care Team. Per our conversation, I have attached the affirmation of destruction for your dishwasher. Please verify the information, sign, and return to us. Once we receive the affirmation of destruction back, we will start to process your prepaid debit card. That card takes 10 to 15 business days to process and will arrive to you by FedEx. If you have further questions or concerns regarding your Whirlpool appliances, please contact us directly by calling toll-free (866) 931-7390 to reach a representative for immediate addressing of these issues between 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET daily, or by emailing AIGservice@whirlpool.com whenever the need arises. Sincerely, Mable. U.S. AIG CARE TEAM."

That same day, I received an emailed the affirmation of destruction form back to Whirlpool on 02/25/2019. I was impressed at the time that they reviewed the repair case history and made this fair offer. My wife and I began to look for a new dishwasher and canceled the future service appointment with Convenience Appliance Services because of the offer and acceptance.

On 03/01/2019, I received a call from Convenience Appliance stating that Whirlpool contacted them and they are taking back their offer because their employee (Whirlpool) didn’t follow the terms of the contract. I called Whirlpool/AIG care team and spoke to ByonBera who stated that she was sorry to hear this complaint and would forward this to her manager for resolution. On 03/04/2019, I received an additional call from the Convenience Appliance Services Inc. and they stated that Whirlpool representative was not very nice to them and that they still wanted them to come out again to my residence on 03/11/2019.

On 03/04/2019, I called Whirlpool/AIG care team again, and spoke to Tandy, who again apologized and read their company script and that they are sorry but still reneged on their offer. She then transferred me to John, who again read through his script/terms of the policy. I explained in detail that Whirlpool contacted (as per their email) me directly and they made the deal. I never called and asked. I completed the affirmation of destruction as requested and was promised $540.75 within 10 to 15 days by FedEx. John stated that he would have to kick this up to their resolution department above him to see if this can be rectified. John stated that this has never happened where the customer is involved (mistakes are normally caught before the customer is contacted) and that he could understand my complaint and frustrations.

I received a call back from John on 03/04/2019 that Whirlpool will not keep their offer and that a repairman will go out as scheduled even though they made the offer without solicitation! Incredibly upsetting and disappointed!!! I have never experience anything even close to this from a major company like Whirlpool. It is evident that they don’t keep their word, that customer satisfaction doesn’t matter even if they are 100 percent wrong, and that their dealing are very deceitful!

We since canceled our order for a new dishwasher and are now forced to wait for the next repair attempts again. If you get anything from this long-winded review, really think twice of making a Whirlpool purchase, or their extended warranty! Whirlpool really could care less of their customers and in addition, their warranty, in my opinion, is a scam. After this I, nor my family will ever purchase a Whirlpool brand appliance again. So please be careful and learn from my experience. Never again! Whirlpool should be ashamed of themselves.

I bought this dishwasher in Nov. 2018 to replace one that was barely working. I have enjoyed using it much more than my old one. It's very quiet and does a great job of cleaning dishes, pans and silverware. The only problem we had was installing it. The leveling screws do not hold their height adjustment when the dishwasher is pushed across the floor during installation because the leveling screw pad was changed from steel to plastic and the tapped hole for the leveling screw is too loose. The effect of this - whereas the steel pad would slide the plastic pad will grab, turn and move the leveling screw out of adjustment. Especially if it's tapped hole is too loose. So we went to Home Depot and bought 4 5/16 nuts and used them as lock nuts on the 4 leveling screws. This cost 50 cents.

Once we installed it everything worked perfectly. It does take longer to complete a cycle than my old one - 3 hours vs. 2 but it uses less water and does a great job of cleaning. You must use a drying agent with your dish soap or it won't get dry enough. Also, if you use the short 1 hour wash it won't have as much time to dry and some dishes won't be completely dry. I usually wait to do a full wash with the normal cycle - 3 hour.

I bought the Ikea dishwasher (model IUD8500BX1) in 2014. Because it’s from Ikea, it has 5 year warranty. I was using it daily, as I have a family of 5 and we cook and eat at home most days. I have called Whirlpool at least 4 times according to the repairman that was here today. I've already had to replace the pump because it was holding up water. After which, mold started occurring in the washer. The technician who came out found 4 fault codes on the machine. He was prepared to replace sensors and the circuit board for the heater and the pump, since it likely had mold. But Whirlpool says the parts are "functional" therefore the replacement parts won’t fix it. He is not allowed to replace anything.

Considering the mold is an after effect of the failure to drain, you would think they would fix the mold as well. A replacement dishwasher would be nice, but at least replacement of the internal plastic parts that I can't clean. Instead, they tell me to bleach wash it and run a cycle with bleach. Guess what, I've already done that. And according to the technician he's never seen a dishwasher have this much mold when it’s used as often as I use it. If you are buying this product thinking they will stand by their product, think again.

Machine was leaking underneath. Had an independent person to check it out and it was determined that it was leaking from underneath the pump. He was not equipped to do the repair himself but I paid him for his time. I then called Whirlpool and they referred me to one of their authorized repair service contractor. The technician, who came over, had been made aware of what the problem was and confirmed by looking under the machine, which had been left opened, that this was the problem. I had to pay him $100 for the service call and this would also apply to the next call to repair it by replacing the pump and assembly for $244 for the parts.

I since learned that a pump could be ordered for $149 without the assembly but would require more work to install without the assembly coming with it. I also had purchased an extended warranty from Sears But they are no longer in business in Canada, as we know. I called Whirlpool in Canada to explain the situation as such and asked if perhaps they could give me a discount on the purchase of the pump and assembly and after being put on hold for a number of times I was told no since the warranty had expired. The machine is close to 5 years only.

May I add that if you call the service repair directly instead of going through Whirlpool themselves, the service call is much less which I also brought to their attention but they did not seem to care. I looked at other reviews and I saw that other people had similar problems with the machine. Whirlpool is not a good reliable company and one should not deal with them. I purchased a Whirlpool 3 years ago. It was on the lower end for price so my expectations were not that high. It does an average job cleaning dishes so for the price I could give it 4/5. The pump and motor just went and had to be replaced. Almost the same cost as replacing the whole machine. The repair technician that did the work stated that this was a very common problem with Whirlpool in recent years. Of course this is not covered by warranty. So if you purchase a Whirlpool realize you are rolling the dice.

This Maytag dishwasher is awful. The parent company is Whirlpool and their customer service is as bad as their products. I bought this dishwasher and less than a week later the pump isn't working and stagnant water is sitting in the machine. It took Whirlpool 3 weeks to replace the machine and they sent over another defective machine. This time it lasted less than 2 days. The Whirlpool customer reps are rude and vindictive and antagonize the customer with their lack of service. Called corporate office with no help from Cust. Service and was told to leave a message with the operator and await a callback. With this fiasco I wouldn't buy another Whirlpool or Maytag product again. BTW. I'm still awaiting my callback from the corporate office... I'm not holding my breath. I called the company that I bought the dishwasher from to see if they can help me unload this machine and get a different brand...

Bought a Whirlpool dishwasher and just over a year later all the wheels fell off the bottom rack. Called to get replacements and it was going to cost me over $200. I paid $800 for the whole machine. I would NOT recommend Whirlpool. I have now heard of other people having the same issue. Very disappointed. Will probably buy a new dishwasher as it will probably happen again with the replacement wheels.

In 2016 I purchased a Gold Series dishwasher. In 2017 Had to have the door replaced because of bubbling paint and rust around exhaust vent. Door was replaced by Whirlpool. It's 2017 and the same thing is happening again. They are sending a technician out again. This is obviously a defect in this model no. (WDT720PAPW2). I wish Whirlpool would just give us a refund. I have a feeling that the doors will be replaced yearly. Plastic parts fall off occasionally. Pots and pans do not come out clean. I have to hand wash those. Will not clean off Barbecue sauce off of the silverware. It was also very difficult to install, and sticks out past the cabinets. I am very disappointed with this product.

    Ease of Use

Purchased this dishwasher in 2015. It has been horrible. The unit has never cleaned sufficiently on any cycle. I run the unit in the evening for the full cycle with heat. It takes almost 4 hours. The dishes are still soaking wet the next morning. We would be considered "light use" as a family of two. I hand wash any larger pans or cookware as the racks do not support anything of midrange weight or above.

With the poor cleaning, I purchased a additional silverware rack and placed it more centrally to attempt better cleaning. It remains mediocre at best. The most recent irritation is the door latch has started pulling free from the unit and remains attached to the door! I have to take pliers and remove it from the door and reaffix it into the housing of the unit. Will never recommend this nor will I ever purchase anything from this company in the future. Sad to see the quality falter to the point of absolute failure.

We got a "DEAL" for this nightmare for nearly $700 back in 2014. Nothing but problems. Constantly finding plastic pieces at the bottom... some identifiable; others not. They are from the cheap parts within. The control board lights (all but 1 works) went just after the 1 yr mark. We are now having to replace the top Rack Adjuster (MORE CHEAP PLASTIC), as it has been barely hanging on for the last year and a half... constantly fighting it, as it would drop all the dishes if you moved it wrong.

Now, the water is not draining at all... period. We clean this religiously - always rinse dishes completely, use rinse aid, never stuff dishes. Today we find a random plastic piece, which we are now trying to identify. NOTE: we don't put plastics in the dishwasher. So, today a new plastic piece and major drain problems. We are in the market and purchasing a new French Door Refrigerator and Front Load Washer. Will NOT be going with anything Whirlpool. Not much better these days, but this name has a big RED NO for us. Made it even worse when we contacted for help after that 1 yr mark. NO HELP AT ALL.

I purchased a home that came with Whirlpool appliances. I begged the company for GE or Maytag. Of course they went with the cheapest they could find. I must admit the microwave gets very hot but the dishwasher is a piece of crap! The water doesn't get hot and the dryer doesn't work. They tried to tell me it NEEDED Jet-Dry. I own 4 homes and have lived in all of them. I've NEVER used Jet-Dry and all the others work perfectly. Run as far as you can from Whirlpool!

Buy anything else. This WHIRLPOOL WITH STAINLESS INTERIOR WDF560 SERIES is the worst dishwasher I've ever owned. Huge fail Whirlpool. MADE IN THE USA! I will never buy another thing you make again. I can't say ONE redeeming thing about this dishwasher. I hate it! It has a high temp wash, a Sani cycle & heated dry + a stainless tub. Using all of the above + having an SS tub yet everything comes out dripping wet. The cheap silverware baskets are poorly designed & positioned on the side to the back in addition to a tall tub making it difficult to access anything in them. The baskets are also cheap and poorly designed. All the spacings are the exactly the same with no proper spacing for pots, pans or larger items. These cheap racks will have a short life. It's outrageous to spend 649.00 for such an inferior product. Buy a cheap dishwasher! This thing is no better than a builder grade that looks good.
