What is West Shore Home?

West Shore Home is a home renovation company specializing in doors, windows and bathrooms. It says it emphasizes efficiency and quality. While it does not cover all aspects of home renovation, for the products and services it does offer, it provides a user-friendly and free quoting process, as well as transparent costs. The final quote it provides is honored for one year.

How does West Shore Home work?

First, you submit an online form. A representative will immediately call to ask a few questions about the project. Then, the company sends out a design consultant who will analyze and measure the window or home area, note any underlying conditions of the house and then present the different design options. Finally, an official quote is provided and lasts one year. Financing options are also covered during this time.

After this, you book an appointment. According to the company, most of its basic renovations, such as window or door installations, are completed in one day, including cleanup. Full bath remodeling will take longer, approximately two to three days, according to the company.

West Shore Home products

Windows

West Shore Home offers services for 10 types of windows, including vertical sliders, crank-out and push-open windows. The glass is Regency brand, which is hurricane- and impact-resistant. The windows are energy-rated, double-paned and vinyl framed. In certain locations, West Shore Homes also offers triple-pane glass.

Doors

West Shore Homes will replace, install or fix any door that is an entry to the house, including front, back, side, patio and a door that leads from the garage to the interior. It does not fix interior doors, such as to the bedroom or kitchen, or garage doors. In some states, it can install pet doors. Although made from fiberglass or steel, doors can be made to look like wood.

Bathrooms

Bathrooms are West Shore Home’s specialty. The company can replace toilets, remodel bathtubs or showers or provide full remodeling of the entire room, including sinks, vanities and flooring. It offers design software so customers can input their ideas or provide templates.

It provides walk-in bathtubs and raised toilets for those with limited mobility.

West Shore Home costs

The cost of a home renovation project can vary greatly, and it is based on a number of factors including frame type, material, square footage (for bath remodels), colors and customizations. However, national averages for a bathtub installation can run between $600 and $10,000. The average for a window replacement is $400 to $1,400 per window, and the average for an exterior door replacement is $500 to $20,000.

One downside of West Shore Home is that an appointment is necessary for providing a cost estimate.

If I could give zero stars, I would. West Shore Home's poor workmanship and customer service caused water damage under our new door, ruined floors, and left us ghosted after false promises. Avoid them!

I contracted with West Shore Home for a complete bathroom makeover. After waiting weeks, the process began. The first group of installers did such a poor job that the second group had to come out and redo most of their work. Now I'm being promised, for the third time, that the best team will be coming out to totally redo the flooring, baseboards, entry door replacement, and patch the holes going through the wall. I do not trust this company.
