What is West Shore Home?

West Shore Home is a home renovation company specializing in doors, windows and bathrooms. It says it emphasizes efficiency and quality. While it does not cover all aspects of home renovation, for the products and services it does offer, it provides a user-friendly and free quoting process, as well as transparent costs. The final quote it provides is honored for one year.

How does West Shore Home work?

First, you submit an online form. A representative will immediately call to ask a few questions about the project. Then, the company sends out a design consultant who will analyze and measure the window or home area, note any underlying conditions of the house and then present the different design options. Finally, an official quote is provided and lasts one year. Financing options are also covered during this time.

After this, you book an appointment. According to the company, most of its basic renovations, such as window or door installations, are completed in one day, including cleanup. Full bath remodeling will take longer, approximately two to three days, according to the company.

West Shore Homes provides a variety of services including:

  • Bathroom, window and door remodeling
  • Customized shower heads, fixtures, surrounds and finishes

West Shore Home products

Windows

West Shore Home offers services for 10 types of windows, including vertical sliders, crank-out and push-open windows. The glass is Regency brand, which is hurricane- and impact-resistant. The windows are energy-rated, double-paned and vinyl framed. In certain locations, West Shore Homes also offers triple-pane glass.

Doors

West Shore Homes will replace, install or fix any door that is an entry to the house, including front, back, side, patio and a door that leads from the garage to the interior. It does not fix interior doors, such as to the bedroom or kitchen, or garage doors. In some states, it can install pet doors. Although made from fiberglass or steel, doors can be made to look like wood.

Bathrooms

Bathrooms are West Shore Home’s specialty. The company can replace toilets, remodel bathtubs or showers or provide full remodeling of the entire room, including sinks, vanities and flooring. It offers design software so customers can input their ideas or provide templates.

West Shore Home also offers walk-in tub installation in over 20 states. Those with limited mobility can upgrade their bathroom to include a walk-in tub with low-threshold entry and exit, grab bars and built-in seating.

West Shore Home costs

The cost of a home renovation project can vary greatly, and it is based on a number of factors including frame type, material, square footage (for bath remodels), colors and customizations. However, national averages for a bathtub installation can run between $600 and $10,000. The average for a window replacement is $400 to $1,400 per window, and the average for an exterior door replacement is $500 to $20,000.

One downside of West Shore Home is that an appointment is necessary for providing a cost estimate.

I will have to say I was very pleased with the experience. I was amazed that they could replace 16 windows in less than eight hours. They were very efficient and I was very happy with their service. They do need to come back and replace one window not because I asked for it but because the supervisor on the job believed it was defective and wanted to take care of it before it became an issue for me. I could not tell where it was defective.

West Shore Home installed new windows to my home today. They team of installers arrived on time as scheduled. The installers led by Keifer (unsure if spelled correctly) were great - respectful, efficient and completed the installation in a timely manner. The windows - an updated version from the original looked really beautiful with the black trim that stand out perfectly. I am thankful for my decision to sign up with WestShore instead of the other window company I originally thought of making business with. A couple of things that were not completed though - snap trims to the upper section of the 2 front windows and the inability to replace the window coverings. Overall, my experience with WestShoreHome was above and beyond my expectations and I highly recommend WestShore Home to others for their excellent customer service and workmanship.

Very expensive, but pulled the trigger on a tub/shower replacement the install was done in one day however I had so issues that I brought to their attention and they were good about addressing them and sent someone out to repair them, it cost 14,500 for the shower (crazy) but for me and it’s my forever home, I look at it as a investment. I’m will enjoy this shower for many years, I guess if you want it bad enough you’ll pay it

I got screwed by West Shore Home. The salesperson said it would be a one day install for a standard tub to shower conversion, then wrote 6-10 weeks on the contract, and had me sign on a tablet where the contract was not visible. I have filed a complaint with BBB requesting a refund of the extra $10K I paid for the one day install. I am never going to be happy until I get that $10K back. West Shore Home is not an honest, reputable company in any way.

      Response from West Shore Home

Hi, Deanna. We're sorry for the frustration. The 6 to 10 week timeframe in the contract refers to the typical period between signing and installation once materials arrive at our warehouse. Your project was scheduled as a one day install after that, but an unforeseen issue during installation prevented same day completion. We understand the inconvenience this caused, and your concerns have been escalated to management who will be in contact with you directly. Thank you for your feedback.

      Reviewed June 15, 2026

I bought a house that had an older 2nd bath with a tub. My father was living with us and at 85 he was unsteady climbing into the tub to shower. The master bath had a new shower installed just before we bought the home and it seemed nice. I found out that West Shore installed that shower so I had them come give me an estimate to replace the tub in the 2nd bath. My husband was not home at the time of the appointment (I wasn’t asked if I was married when I set-up the appointment).

The estimate process lasted approximately 4 hours. I was given a price to replace the tub and to do a full remodel on both bathrooms. Although I found the shower only price high, I thought the full remodel price was more reasonable considering the scope of work. I said I would talk it over with my husband and get back to them as they advertised the price was good for a year. Then I found out that was not the price I was quoted. The price I received was only good if I signed a contract that day and was about $4,000 less than the 1 year guaranteed price.

I was tired and stressed at that point but I called my husband and he just told me to make the decision. I agreed and signed the contract. The representative had me make a few selections of flooring, vanity and vanity top and he measured the existing vanities and tub area. He said multiple times that someone would be out to measure again for accuracy. I also told them at the time of the estimate that the bench in the shower installed for the previous owner was not installed correctly and water was pooling there and remaining because the seat was not pitched to drain. They said I would have to pay to have that corrected. (Now the whole bench is coming loose.)

A few weeks later I received a call to schedule the install. I told them that no one had come to re-measure and they said that was okay. I scheduled the install. On the day of installation, we noticed that the master bath vanity was several inches shorter than the one I had, and was smaller than the mirror that hung above the vanity. They sent out a supervisor to tell me they could reschedule both bathrooms or I could take the vanity they had and they would move the mirror to center it over the vanity as well as supply an extra grab bar for the 2nd bathroom for my inconvenience. I reluctantly accepted because I needed to get the shower conversion before my father had an accident..

The installs took three days (not one or two like they said) and we were without a functioning toilet for most of that time. The master bath had a tiled floor with a section missing where the previous owner removed a wall. During the estimate, I was told that would not be an issue as they were putting in the new floor. I was never made aware that they were simply laying laminate over the existing floor. The floor snaps when you walk in that area now because they did not fix the existing floor. They replaced my matching baseboards with a large unpainted baseboard which doesn’t match and they won’t paint it. They left the wall behind the master vanity untouched where the new, shorter vanity didn’t cover and there was a visible gap where the vanity was not flush with the wall. I had to complain to get them to come back and fix those things.

A week or so after they were done there was a flood in the master bath because one of the sink drain pipes was never screwed together. The laminate floor they laid is not glued down so water gets underneath and there is no way to dry it. I suspect I will have a mold problem before too long. They left a hole in the wall where the toilet plumbing comes through which I had to ask to have fixed after they were “done”.

After they finished the rework, they called me to say they wouldn’t be back to adjust the mirror and that I could hire someone to do it and submit my receipt for reimbursement. Why couldn’t they make the arrangements and pay the invoice without involving me. It wasn’t my mistake. Each day before they leave they hand you a tablet to sign. There is no way to know what you are signing for. I applied for financing through them and somehow they were paid directly by Wells Fargo without me knowing until I received my first invoice. Because there were items that remained undone, I would not have knowingly signed a disbursement authorization.

It has now been almost a year since they were here last and I’m not as angry so I figured it was time to write this review. My mirror still hangs over the end of the vanity on one end and doesn’t go to the end of the vanity on the other end. The faucets they provided look terrible. They never look clean. There was no caulking around the base of the faucets, just a base plate that is covered with water stains that won’t come off. One of the sinks has a raised line (like a seam) that goes all the way down the bowl (it’s probably excess material from when they cast the sink).

The commode does not flush as well as the one they removed. The shelves that they put in the newer shower do not match the walls like their first install but instead look like cheap metal. I was unaware that they would be different and was told at install that some of the walls they offer don’t have coordinating shelves so they use metal (looks cheap). They removed baseboards in areas where they did not install new ones and they all remain unpainted because I am unable to do it. The vanity doors are still crooked and warping.

Overall, the bathrooms do look more modern than before but not $43k better. If I had the chance to do this over, I would not use West Shore. The flooring is the biggest disappointment and I know it will have to be ripped up and replaced because it was not glued down to keep moisture out and that will be expensive because the vanity and toilet will need to be removed too.

The first salesman had absolutely no idea what he was talking about when it came to windows, it was apparent that he was just trying to make a sale. Luckily, another guy stepped in and was able to help. The real problem was during the installation. While removing one of the old windows, they destroyed my wall. They offered a $200 discount, which is pitiful for the damage they did. They also knew the house was supposed to be listed on the market within a few days and were unwilling to have someone fix it on short notice.

The 1st quote was $52,000! I said what for--it's a bathtub!!! The next quote was $42,000--good for 3 day! Then the same day quote was $37,000, sign today. I got a quote from another company which was $23,000. I believe West Shore Home's HIGH PRICES are to pay for their advertising. Walk in tubs costs shouldn't be more than $15,000 -- especially if you are just replacing a existing tub with a walk in tub. BUYER BEWARE!!

After arriving on time as scheduled, team lead Adrian verified work to be done with me which was replacement of three 2nd floor windows. While we talked, Ethan and Mike went to work setting up to begin. All three were professional and courteous and willing to answer any questions I had. When finished, they reviewed proper care and operation of the windows. All work was excellent and room was clean. I was very happy and impressed. Thank you all for a job well done. I would recommend West Shore to anyone asking.
