Vector Security offers a feature rich system for good value. The system gives total control of home security and door lock access with remote capability. Installer was professional and left the home as he found it, no mess or damage. Since this house is a vacation home I can monitor home activity remotely. I have used the system to unlock the front door to allow access to the home for workmen, then was able to lock the door and reset alarm.

I was referred to Vector by Carrie **. I was extremely pleased with everyone I dealt with and also with the timely manner in which the alarm technician came out to install the alarm. The technician was very informative and showed me how to use the alarm in detail. I feel more safe and secure knowing I have home protection and would refer others to Vector.

Staff was very helpful and handled request in a timely manner. All staff was respectful, well-mannered and polite. They are efficient but never seem hurried. They always explain things thoroughly. It is always a pleasure dealing with Vector Security. I always feel comfortable talking with them. I am glad to do business with Vector Security.

We chose Vector after meeting Mark ** at a home show. It was his wonderful personality, his honesty and his willingness to stand behind his product that made us choose after for both homes that we own. He has gone above and beyond the call of duty. When we were in New Orleans for my son's wedding we had a problem with our pet sitter getting into the house. The battery had unexpectedly going dead on our door lock. He personally came over to the house and did what needed to do so our pet sitter could get in and take care of our dogs. You are such a lucky company to have a man such as Mark **. We know we can count on him and because of that we know we can count on Vector.

Mary was great! She took her time and explained everything to me. She did not try to get me to buy things I didn't need just for a sale. She was very honest and open about all aspects of Vector. Her customer service is what made me choose Vector. She also follows up from time to time to make sure I am pleased.

Our sales person had great suggestions on how to make sure the whole house was covered, installation was quick and clean, and if we accidentally set off the alarm, the phone call from Vector comes very quickly which shows how good the monitoring is.

My front door alarm went off when I shut it and we could not disarm it. Your operator got us to the right party for help. The technician walked me through a reset and set things straight. He also explained possibilities which could have caused the mishap and said if it happened again a technician would be sent out to our house to check for faulty wiring or such.

For the past few weeks when my alarm has been activated, I have not received a call to make sure all is well. Called customer service and the service was good. Hopefully the service call will be just as good.

The service I received from Stone and his team OUTSTANDING!! The installation tech was very professional and friendly. He guided me through the account set up process and tutorial with ease. Stone is one of the most caring General Managers that I know. It was a pleasure doing business with him. I am very please with Vector Security and the peace of mind given to my family.

I'm so glad I found Vector. There is a "comfy" feeling with this company. From the first contact through installation was totally enjoyable. Our sales consultant (Chris) made us very comfortable and gave us knowledge and guidance without pressure. Installation by Mike (Bob came by later) was stress free and professional. Great care was used so no damage was done to our home. Also, Mike's patience explaining and teaching the use of the control panel was amazing.

I need to start at the beginning: my house burnt down on 5/17/15. So, I've been rebuilding since that time. Vector took over the HOA agreement with a security company. So, I had your company prewire my house. I called your Dallas office and arranged to have the final installation of the system for September 12th. No ONE showed up. On 9/13, 9/14, 9/15, 9/16, and 9/17, No ONE showed up or called me. I called on 9/19 and was told they would come on the 20th. They did arrive on the 20th: installed the system and did not place a control pad at the back door. Before, I had three control pads, but I found out that I have to pay for the 3rd. However, the prewire was for 3 control pads.
I have a rear entry driveway into my garages so I have to have a control pad by the back door. However, they installed a control pad by the front door, I don't use that door for going in and out of the house 90% of the time. Therefore, YOUR company charged me $207.57 to place a control pad WHERE it should have been in the first place. So, I have a control pad where it is not needed and I had to pay for a control pad in the place where it is needed most. Your customer service is horrible and your communication with your customers is horrible.

There is no other security company that I would recommend. From start to finish, from the initial consultation, to design, to review, to install, and even after the sale, Vector Security is the preeminent security company. First and foremost they took the time to listen to my family's needs. When it came to system design, they provided top value for our dollar and our budget. Installation was neat and professional. Anytime we have needed anything after the sale, they promptly answer our questions. It is nice to know our security is in the hands of such a professional company, and it is comforting that most of the area also depends on Vector. When you drive around, you see Vector signs on more driveways than any other security company.

I was brought into this project toward the end of the process, but a general feedback was that our staff is disappointed Vector did not provide a technician to ask questions and advise about best practices. Because of this, we do have several card readers that are not used and had to add on to the project for things that our staff not thought about and were not suggested to us. At the end of the process we had a sit down and a more technical discussion and that seemed to help clarify matters. There were also substantial billing issues with Vector applying payments for invoices other than what the payments were intended for, causing a lot of time to rectify and an ultimate refund to us from Vector.

A technician has been out about 5 times for same issue with back camera. The last technician solved probably, but the camera later became dislodged from its mount. Now someone has to come again. Add to that, the front camera is not responding now. This is very frustrating. So I don't know how to rate this. If I must rate it, I would say experience with technicians has been good. But long-term results have been atrocious. Technician scheduled to come out again on 9/28/16.

We had Vector update and activate our security system last week, and I deeply regret signing a contract with this company. Here are the things that have gone wrong:
1.) The salesman that originally came to my house took a full inventory of our equipment and said all would be upgraded by Vector without cost to us. We also paid to have some additional equipment installed. Then, the installer came and argued with me that we would need to pay an additional $100 to update our window detectors. He was argumentative and talked in circles, and I got confused and accepted. 2.) The installer didn't feel like taking the time to properly place the deadbolt we signed up for through Vector. Instead, he simply removed the strike plate for the deadbolt, leaving only a 1/4" piece of wood holding my door lock in place. 3.) The glass break detectors are so exquisitely sensitive that I can't even turn the damn security system on. So far, my alarm system has gone off due to my dog barking, me dropping my cell phone, and my cat knocking a pen off of the counter.
Overall, I am now in a 3-year contract with a company who left my house less safe than before they got here (see door comment) for an alarm system that I can't even use (see glass break detector comment). I would very seriously consider your needs and wants before signing up with this company. On top of it, I got swindled out of even more money due to a confusing sales pitch (I accept responsibility for this, although I will say the installer chose to talk to me about the issue while my toddler was screaming in the background--in hindsight, I was the perfect target).

Reached out to Vector for info on video cameras to improve site security at our plant/warehouse. Sales rep was quick to make an appointment and very thorough with his recommendations. The technician was professional and courteous and did a great job. Entire system installed in one day. Received follow-up communications to make sure everything was satisfactory. Would recommend this company.

The installation team arrived on time and fully prepared to complete the installation in one visit. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely easy to work with. After all of the sensors were installed and the system was operational, they provided a thorough tutorial on how to operate and make changes to the system, and fully answered all of our questions. We have gladly recommended Vector to several of our neighbors.

On September 21, 2016 our home was broken into and robbed. The alarm was set however the motion detector failed to detect the intruder. After talking to the regional office for our area we were not offered any assistance or concern for our safety. All that was done at the time was to set up a time for the service tech to come the next day. Needless to say we were unable to sleep or eat worrying about our safety for the night of the robbery. The tech arrived at 9:15 September 22. First I requested he set the alarm to see if the motion detector was working. We have two motion detectors - one in the great room and one in the master bedroom. The tech and myself walked around in both rooms for several minutes neither detector picked up any motion. The tech adjusted both motion detectors and their angel on the wall.
The alarm was reset. Again we both walked around and the alarm immediately went off. Tech statement: "Walked, tested motion and did not set off alarm. Made some adjustments (inside the unit) and walk tested again, both are working fine." The tech explained to us that it was our responsibility to check the motion detector monthly. If this was so important why were we not told this verbally when the equipment was originally installed. Why is it our responsibility to check your equipment? It is evident to me that it was a faulty installation from the first considering that both detectors had to be adjusted. I am hoping for a resolution to this issue.

I had a local security company and the number of false alarms was horrible. I now have 5 commercial Vector systems and 2 residential, and couldn't be happier. No more false alarms. More impressive is how courteous and responsive their customer service is. Great company, great people!

A Vector employee telephone me today because my credit card was rejected. It was an extremely efficient and quick call wherein I was able to supply updated billing information. The representative was pleasant and personable. Indeed, everyone from Vector that has ever called me has been the same - even when I accidentally set off the alarm.

My experience did not start off well when I called to request service for my alarm panel that was sending lower power signal when it should have been working appropriately. I called around 7:30 on Friday morning to request the service which was noted, but I was told that another group handles the actual scheduling of visits. I called the number that was provided to me, but it was apparently before their regular operating hours. I was told somebody would call me once they were in the office, but I did not receive a call back until 12:30 from an unknown number which was apparently a contracted third party. At that time I was told nobody could come to assist until Thursday, September 22nd, nearly a full week later. In light of the fact that my alarm panel was now not working at all this was not acceptable.
The person on the phone then apparently found an earlier availability on Tuesday, September 20th for a technician to come by. This still meant that my alarm system was completely inoperable for 4+ days. The technician was very professional, but I was still surprised to see that it was not a Vector employee, rather a contracted third party that performed the work. The battery was replaced in my alarm panel and has been working fine since Tuesday. There was no issue with any of the individuals I spoke to per se, but it was very concerning that there could not be a quicker turnaround time for an alarm system that was not functioning at all. Additionally, because third parties were used it never seemed that anybody could fully assist me as tasks were handled by completely different companies. I am happy that the system works again, but I think the process could be improved drastically.

If you are considering the installment of a security system look no further than Vector One Security. Their staff is outstanding. We found them to be thorough, thoughtful, considerate and caring. They were very professional every step of the way. They are knowledgeable and adept at what they do. It was clear to us they wanted to provide our elderly Mom with a system that fit her needs and they didn't want to provide any features she didn't need or couldn't use. They proved to us they didn't want us to spend any more than necessary, yet they made sure she was secure enough in every way. Their pricing was fair and moderate. A very nice young man came out and changed out our batteries and also offered us information on getting a second smoke alarm. Before he was done he checked ALL areas and made sure the alarm system was working at full capacity. He even told us that if we had a problem with one of the units it would be changed. That was the one that started the LOW BATTERY BEEP. He is a very polite and informative young man. Would want him to come out every time we have any problem, because of how knowledgeable he is and also the way he represented himself and the company he works for. His name is AJ. Thanks AJ!!

I have a broken back motion sensor and someone came out to look at it and they replaced the batteries and called it a day. Now it beeps every 5 minutes and the cops have showed up at my place of business. It's ridiculous.

Personal, friendly, professional and explanatory process throughout the entire installation process. We replaced a national recognized existing system with the Vector system. The feeling of addition protection is astounding. Being able to view the status of the system provides comfort and assurances when traveling. Recently, we were notified of an opened door during the height of a hurricane. My previous system would have been rendered useless during that storm. Impressive.

Original review: This company has very poor service. This is an honest and accurate review. (They keep marking me for deletion.) I am not affiliated with any company nor am I trying to sell you on a product. This is not an advertisement. I think this is how they are getting my reviews deleted so I will keep changing them until Google allows it. Thanks Google admin! You guys rock. But, instead of leaving this company a scathing review, I will instead leave all the information needed to avoid them as this is the best use of my effort. First of all, we are in the year 2015. Everyone has wifi, a network connection, and smartphones and this type of ridiculously expensive subscription based service is un-needed.
Cons: This system does not integrate with any modern protocols such as Apple's HomeKit or Samsung's Smart home. Do not think that you are going out and buying a WeMo light switch or Phillip Smart bulb and have it work with this system. It will not. This system will not allow for upgrades to newer technology cameras or sensor without increasing monthly subscription. You pay additional money if you want to just add sensors which makes no sense. ($10/monthly for 2 sensors.) No way to customize anything yourself. Panel technology is 4 years old which is ancient in terms of technology. Get ready to pay your local police department as well if you are in the DC area for additional "false alert" charges. Either subscribe with them or pay $100 when they are called.
My sentence, I mean contract is for 5 years. When I asked them if I could get out before the June 2017 deadline, they said sure, for a mere $915. This type of company is not sustainable in this day and age so don't get tricked into this $2160 ($37*60 months) door chime like I did. Look up Simon XTI to see the panel they use and buy it without the subscription. Look up iSmartAlarm. Only $249 with no monthly fees. Finally, research "SmartThings".
2016.09.09 Update. I am finally buying out the remaining year of my contract with this company just to get away from them. It turns out that my panel in my house had not communicated with the central station for over a year. That means if I would have had a fire, a break in, or any other issue, I would have been screwed. When I asked them about a refund, they stated that it is in my contract that I was suppose to call once a month to ensure that my device is communicating. No one mentioned this, no one showed me how to do this.
No one I know with an alarm system ever does this. Such a waste of money. Just call me and say "We see your panel hasn't successfully connected in 10 months..." or anything! Instead I am told that it my fault. How could I ever possibly know this?! I just threw away that $400 last year. What if I would have had a fire? This is just something a lawyer threw in to make sure this company would never be found a fault for comm issues.

I called because my control panel said that service was needed. It turned out to be an issue for our tv/phone company that disconnected the security phone line. We tested the system and got it fixed promptly. Your people were friendly and helpful.

I was extremely please with Mr. Stone **'s explanation of the system coverage and costs. His installation team did a great job as well and explained about each type of sensor that was installed for safety and security. I have been very pleased with the overall capability for the system, especially using the mobile app to check cameras and sensors as well as lock the doors and arm the security system when I am away. I feel much more at ease having the heat, smoke, carbon monoxide and security sensors monitored 24/7 by Vector Security. I highly recommend Mr. Stone ** and Vector Security!

Spoke to Tonii about options on a new thermostat that compare to an offer I was given by my electric company. She assured me that the thermostat Vector offers would exceed the expectations of my electric company's offer. Greg came and installed the thermostat a week later and walked us through how to use all the new features. It works great. Absolutely love the new things it can do. I would highly recommend this be added to everyone's house!

Sean ** quickly reattached the sensor and explained they do dry out. He further suggested I get the app on my phone to arm disarm the alarm anywhere there is wifi. He also said the app could be put on my daughter's phone. He helped me load the app and set up pass word and explained everything. He also helped get the ball rolling in changing the account to my name. I will ask for him any time I have a problem.

I received a call concerning the fire alarm downstair. It had been replaced a year ago. The gentleman said it should have lasted longer and replaced it. He also replaced the sign outside. It was the original one and was in bad condition. The gentleman was very pleasant and efficient. Thank you.

On 9/16/16 around 4:07pm, someone driving a Vector van with "how's my driving" #0854 blew through a red light on High Road in Tallahassee. Our traffic light coming off Hartsfield Road had been green for 2 to 3 seconds when I saw the van traveling too fast and no slowing down. Sure enough, he blew right through the light. Fortunately, the vehicle at the front of our line had not moved yet.

I had my alarm system checked out and had an additional smoke detector installed. The Vector service representative, AJ, did an excellent job in evaluating the problem and asked if there was any other area in my home for an additional detector. He and I located an area where an additional smoke detector should be installed. One was installed and I am very pleased with the work. AJ is an excellent representative for Vector Security.

The whole two years I've had Vector, the service has been great. I've never had to call with issues, nor have I ever had my home burglarized. However, this month as I'm trying to cancel my service because of an assignment and selling my home, I encountered a terrible process. First, I submitted a "contact me" request and when I talked to the representative she told me I had to send in the HUD-1 and PCS orders to a cancellation e-mail. Why is this information not easier to find on your site? It would've saved me a 20 minute phone call and the technician's time.
Second, I finally get my HUD-1 and send the e-mail. I receive no confirmation that my information has been received and no guidance as to how long this process will take. After my payment came out, I contacted customer service again. I've now been told this could take 30 days to process. The new owners of the home get to enjoy 30 days of home security on me and of course I'll not be receiving a refund of this money. Seriously, 30 days!? I was able to cancel internet and utilities with a 1 day turnaround. I'll be living in my new home in another state before this is cancelled. I have a plan that allows for system checks and battery replacement. When I first called I got a woman who was not having a good day so I asked for Brenda, the supervisor. She quickly fixed the situation and sent Nick to do the inspection and battery update. Nick was thorough and professional and very friendly. I first installed Vector 22 years ago and did an entire system update about 7. The customer sales rep who answered initially is not the usual experience or I would not have stayed with Vector.

We just moved and made an appointment for a sales rep to explain the alarm system. They didn't keep the appointment. So I called customer service who took 40 minutes to answer the phone. They told me someone would call me back. Three days later a tech called asked if someone had contacted me. I said no. He said he would come and explain system. Only because of him did I use your service. I needed the alarm certificate so I call customer service. I was on hold 58 minutes, not good but worst didn't get the certificate. I finally got it after I sent an email.

The last service guy I had, Mike, was great. However, there are many issues that we are having. We started testing our panic buttons monthly, only to find out that the signals were either not received or there was a delay. This is very disappointing. We also have been waiting 3 months for 1 panic button to come in?!? It is hard to believe you don't have these in stock when this is your main purpose?

Ron ** was helpful and informative throughout the pre-install steps. Whenever we had a question, he would find the answer with no hassle. We experienced some trouble during install to get the system to work exactly the way our company needed it to, which required special programming. Dale was persistent in getting what we needed accomplished, and often stayed late to make sure we were still secure and running as we should.

Karen ** called me out of the blue inquiring about my experience with Vector as a company. I said that I was extremely pleased with them and have been with them about 34 years. The only item that I would like to take care of would be to get my ex husband off of the account. I had tried to do this before but he was non-responsive so his name has remained on the account. Karen did some research and discovered that if I sent her my divorce settlement showing that I am now the sole occupant at the protected address, I could remove his name without ever having to deal with him.
I am thoroughly impressed with Karen. She found a creative solution to my problem and followed through. She is a real asset to Vector and deserves high praise and compensation. An entry alarm sounded at my home because family member entered the wrong code entering the house. She immediately corrected the code and the alarm stopped. She then waited for the call from you to verify if everything was okay. No call came. Instead, my husband received a call on his cell phone in New Jersey. Your agent stated he did not have our home phone number as the primary number. After police were called and it was verified a family member had entered the wrong code, the issue was over. However, my home phone should have been the primary call as it has been for many years.

Frank ** did a great job of coming in and helping us define our needs. He was quick to respond, personable, technically competent and a straight shooter. He helped us transition from a previous provider and showed us where our gaps were. Installations seemed to take longer than planned and invoices lack the detail and basic information to make us comfortable with the final amount. But all in all a step up from our previous provider.

System works well from both stations inside residence as well as from mobile devices. Have called the customer service department to resolve a sensor status - several windows and doors around the house still show as open when they are sealed and locked. Total dishonesty from the get go. Sales rep (Matthew **) shows up promising the world but doesn't know anything about the system, can't figure out anything on his iPad. Tells us since we have an existing system in our house, we get the first two months free (not the case). I specifically ask him if I don't want the protection plan, will that make my monthly payments lower? He says no. I read the contract, there is nothing in there about the first two months free. And oh by the way, it says right there in black and white I am covered for the first year free for most of what the protection plan covers, so I am paying for something I already get free.
I call customer service the very next day and get confirmation of my suspicions, so I tell them I want to discontinue my protection plan and rethink it after 12 months, all good right? No, today I find out from my bank I got charged for the whole amount on the first month (hence the first two months isn't free). I went with Vector because I didn't want a large company who wouldn't take time with their individual customers, figured I would go local, boy did that bite me in the ass. Seriously considering taking this to the BBB if something isn't done ASAP.

A wireless transmitter had gone bad. The technician fixed it quickly. My only complaint was that the price was high for such a small and quick fix, but that wasn't his fault. He explained what went wrong but without a lot of chit chat. Overall I was satisfied and glad to have it fixed.

We are relocating to an area not serviced by Vector and recently had to cancel our account. Over the years we have found them to be very accommodating and easy to work with. Whether an issue could be remedied by phone or a service call, they were prompt, polite, and helpful. When alarms were set off accidentally, they were understanding and even made suggestions to avoid situations in the future. We have been very pleased with them and have recommended them to the buyers of our home.

I contacted Vector with regards to a late payment notice and had the pleasure of speaking with Ms. Rita **. My concern was that while I made my payment on time - I mistakenly typed 0.66 vs 0.99 and thought Vector was sending me a late payment notice for 0.33. Rita quickly explained that Vector had not received my most recent payment although I could see where the payment was paid directly from my bank account. I sent Rita my relevant account information and I am pleased to say she successfully resolved the problem - which was linked to an incorrect account number (my bank recently merged with another). I would like to recognise Rita for her professionalism and ability to response quickly to the customers' needs.

We would like to have the system removed because it is not working properly. Please see the system records of us calling to have it power down or disconnected due to the alarm going off when it wasn't even it supposed to be on. The system is going off when it's not EVEN ARMED. Please come to pick up your system. Your technicians have already tried to come out and fix whatever was wrong. The city department fines people $300.00 when the cops come out for no reason that's why we asked to disarm it or power it down. We would like to not be charged for services that aren't working correctly in the first place. When we lived there for the 4 months the system master bedroom alarm was going off. If you look at the records when we stayed in **. We used you for 4 years and had no problems.
The system looked newer in that house on English oak but anyway we had no problems and that's why when we moved we stayed with you all. But the system is not working right in **. We have now PCS to Fort Lee, VA and we have renter and they are having trouble with the alarm system and getting fines. So please remove the system and we would like to not be charged anymore for a system that is not working. You all should have a better military clause in place for our military when it's out of our control when we move but on top of that your system you working properly and it does not and when we asked for it to be turned off for good you should do just that. We had problem when we were there and the renter are too and the system was newly installed and it's been a year.
Please come get you system. Please contact the person to have it removed. We have been loyal customer for 4 years. With no issue. Check your records. That you should count for something.

Vector came and installed a thermostat in our home that was apparently faulty when they installed our security system. It created a moisture problem with our AC unit and then created a fungus problem on our furniture. We spent over $3500 hiring experts to figure out what the issue was and fixing it. These experts determined it was the faulty equipment they installed. Nothing we could control. We asked for reimbursement over the phone. We basically got laughed at. Then we sent a certified letter through our attorney multiple times.
We sent them all of our receipts for the cost to fix. Not even a response. Now I have been in contact with their "we care" customer service through email. WHAT A JOKE that name is by the way. They don't care at all. They keep promising me someone will reach out to me. It has been a month of these promises. I have determined that Vector likes to say all the right things publicly. They respond to reviews in a very nice way. In my experience that is all a show. I have faithfully paid my bill throughout this entire process. I clearly have grounds to stop but I have not. YET. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone.

My panel has problem for the past 3 days. There was a technician that came the first time. For the third time, Darren, came this afternoon. He changed the sensor, and tested everything. Tested my system to see if my two smallish dogs would set off motion alarm. We never had let them stay loose in the house with the alarm armed. I am retired recently and have just left them out in the house when I leave without arming the house alarm system which is not good since I'm leaving us vulnerable with no protection. It turns out after almost six years we weren't using the key fobs properly to arm both parts of system. I know now how to use it as well as clear my panel. Still don't know if the dogs will trip the motion sensor but will find out. Thanks, the tech lady helped greatly without going through a service call.

Was helped by Vector representative, Rita from your Columbia, MD facility. I was not aware that you have different levels of maintenance support. I had a smoke detector with low batteries. I purchased new batteries & installed. Apparently, the batteries were not 100% and still kept getting low battery warnings. My only thought then was that the smoke detector must be defective. Vector should offer batteries via USPS Mail as you charging over $200 to install 2 CR123 batteries is inconceivable. Rita straightened out the problem for me.

Steve was at my office same day, talked me through the process of changing providers, and then provided me with options and pricing that meet my budget. Chirping of hallway alarm started at 2am. Battery changed. Beeping continued after testing and resetting the hallway and keypad several times. Accidentally disconnected alarm from hard wiring. Beeping stopped. Went to church. Found younger sister here was notified of alarm. Reconnected alarm. Was unable to get message off of keypad. Called. Was told there was no one there that could help me until today. Called this morning, they said someone would call me back, they called my brother-in-law instead. Called again and they finally helped me get the message off. It is the same thing I had done, but they said it takes 24 hours to be able to reset.

Overall experience with Vector has been pleasant. A Vector Technician helped w/ troubleshooting my motion detector issue. During this time a Vector customer service rep called. I'm not sure if she was having a bad day but her tone and attitude were not appreciated. I did not give 5 stars due to the representative I spoke with yesterday afternoon (5:16 PM).

I attempted to arm my home while going away and learned that a door/window was 'open' in one of the rooms. It was not and I called in to see if anything could be done. It was a bit difficult to have anyone come out due to it being the day before Thanksgiving but I followed instructions given to me; to call back later and ask for the on-call tech.
I called back later and was informed that the tech would give me a callback, which he did. I was concerned that I couldn't have my system looked at until next week sometime but after a bit of time the manager himself came out to my home. He described what the problem was, shared a few laughs with me and eased my angst. He fixed the problem and all is well now. I feel that a paying customer should always have access to repair no matter when especially since it's dealing with home security. I was willing to wait until Monday but by the time I received his voicemail, he was 2 minutes away from my house. Thanks so much for coming out, Trey!

I was on vacation from 7/18/16 to 7/24/16 and wanted to get my alarm system reconnected after years of it being inactive. The gentleman that came out to do the initial consult was great. He was here on 7/20/16 right on the dot in terms of time frame we arranged on. As a matter of fact, he was here earlier than he had to be. Just FYI, I sent an email to have an agent come out on 7/18/16 for the initial consult. Very good turnaround time because he was here in less than two days. (= The problem began when the 'technician' arrived at my house to get the system 'up-and-running'. It was a very discomforting experience.
As a matter of fact, it was the worst experience I've had when anyone was paid to come out and complete any type of work on my property. First of all, he was supposed to be here no later than 9:00 AM. He arrived late. The bad thing is that he (and his negative aura) took up my whole day. He was here on 7/21/16 from 9:15 AM to about 5:10 PM. I wanted to tell him to leave, but I had to force myself to just be patient. SMH. My whole 'vacation' day was gone and I was pissed off. To make matters even worse, he failed to connect the system the way he was supposed to. The system was running on the backup battery all the way to Saturday. I was out of town on Friday afternoon came back into town on Saturday to a blaring alarm. Phone calls to my phone, my emergency contacts, and THEN we had to have another (more experienced) agent come out to my home (around 8:00 PM) to correct the mistake.
I was tired, exhausted and wanted to take advantage of your three-day money back guarantee if not satisfied. I mouthed off at the tech that came out to correct the fault the inexperienced tech created, but I had to apologize to him afterwards. To you as a company, I do not appreciate you sending out inexperienced techs to anyone's home. He should just be watching for now until he learns what to do with alarm systems. I would've waited two weeks to have an experienced tech come out to my home as opposed to having to be the product of a failed experiment with an inexperienced tech. Just a very unpleasant experience.
Keep in mind that I've had about 3 weeks to think about it all, but it's still leaving a very bitter and nasty taste in my mouth. I would recommend your company to a guest, but this was the wrong thing to do by sending this 'tech' out in the field with no knowledge of how to get my system right. I thought it would be simple but apparently I was wrong. If you give attention to this matter, then I appreciate it.

I got a call from your central station that the smoke alarm in the master bedroom was activated. I was at home in the next room and wasn't able to hear the alarm, although it was sounding when I opened the bedroom door. I disarmed the alarm after determining there was no smoke or evidence of a fire. However, soon after returning to my workstation, I got another call from the control station stating that I had an alarm going off in the master bedroom. I returned and disarmed the signal while talking with the control station operator, but the alarm went off again; I disarmed it; the alarm went off a third time. The operator asked me to contact customer service and get a service technician out here today rather than waiting for my Monday service appointment.
The only problem I experienced was the wait time in reaching customer service. It seemed excessive to me, so perhaps additional operators should be on duty to respond to calls. All representatives were polite, courteous, and helpful. Jennifer in customer service (I spoke with her on both my calls) and John in the central station were both very customer oriented and helpful.

Darren worked quickly and effectively to install my back door siren. He was smiling the whole time. We couldn't hear the siren all the way back in the store so Darren found a way to have the siren go off on the alarm panel when the door opens. Very happy with his work and his quick thinking. I was connected with the Dealer technician who agreed to meet with me this evening. When he arrived he was very apologetic and listened attentively to my complaint. I have been unable to get a resolution or response from the company regarding the non-working wireless surveillance cameras and broken medical alert pendant. I've reached to them via the Sales Consultant, Customer Service and their online web support. I was promised 4 surveillance cameras and a medical alert pendant. I specifically requested the kind of pendant that can worn around the neck. The alarm system was installed on 07/14/2016; however, only 3 cameras were installed. I asked the Sales Consultant about the 4th camera. He said they were very expensive so he gave me an upgraded state of the art security panel in place of the camera. He gave me the option to purchase another one. I opted to wait until next month. I asked about the medical alert pendant. He stated he forgot to bring it but would have it to me on 07/19.
One of the three cameras was not working and I was told that I needed a WiFi extender. He said he would bring it to me on 07/19. On the evening of 07/14, I armed the system at "Stay". When I walked past the motion detector the alarm sounded. I disarmed it and called the Sales Consultant to report that something was wrong with the way it was installed. He replied that I didn't do it correctly. I advised that the panel was not new to me and that I had in fact armed it correctly. He came by on 07/15 and determined there was something wrong. He called the installer and was able to make the program changes. On 07/19, I hadn't heard from the Sales Consultant by 4 pm I called him. He was stuck in traffic but should be at the house by 6:30 pm. I called after 6:30 and moved the time to 8:30 pm. At 9 pm, I called to reschedule. He informed me that another associate would be there in a few mins.
The associate arrived at 9:05 pm with a medical alert watch. I nicely said that I requested a pendant that can worn around the neck. He went to his vehicle, came in, programmed and tested it. Showed me how to open/close the clasp. I asked about the WiFi extender and was told I needed to purchase it myself but he would look to see if he had an extra one. Needless to say, I did not hear from him again. On 07/19, I put it around my father's neck. The next morning my father brought the pendant to me unattached from the rope. At this time, I saw that the associate had cut the watch wristband and folded to fit around the rope. This is unacceptable.
I purchased a WiFi extender and the camera is still not working. By this time another camera is not working. I called the Sales Consultant and left several messages. He returned my call on 07/22. He said he would have the Installer come by to check things out on 07/26 or 07/27; he would call to confirm. He never called. On 07/27, I initiated a ticket with Vector Security technical support. I never received a call. On 08//1, I called their customer service to report the issues with the wireless cameras and medical alert pendant. The rep stated she would send the request and someone will contact me within 24-24 hours. No one called. I called customer service again on 08/03 requesting a status on the two previous tech support tickets. She apologized and said she didn't know why no one contacted me. She stated she was sending an escalated email.
As of today, no one has contacted me to resolve the issues. I cannot cancel the contract unless I pay them an astronomical amount of money for the cost of the alarm system, installer's time, etc and they can send me to collections per the terms in the agreement I signed. The cancellation date without penalty was July 18th. How convenient that they didn't bring the medical alert until after the 18th. I'm very frustrated and angry that they have not responded to my concerns. The Sales Consultant does not answer his cell phone and has disabled the voicemail box so I cannot leave a message. The language in the agreement is such that I cannot sue them for breach of contract.
I'm paying a lot of money for a service that is useless and apparently they don't care about rectifying the situation. I stressed the importance having the capability of checking on my elderly father via the camera and him having access to immediate attention via the medical pendant. Everyday, my father asks when are the alarm people going to fix this pendant and cameras. I tell him that I've been trying to get reach them. This is terrible customer service!
