Contract was better than others. Service is good. Installation Department worked long and hard to complete the installation in the time committed to us. The service technician work with us to resolve issues with the App as well as the keypads controlling the alarm system.

I got a call from Vector about a low battery on my motion detector in the living rm. They said that a tech would be out to change the battery. They sent out Darren. I was pleased with this tech. He fixed the low battery problem, explained why my panel was beeping, gave me a list that explains what number is each sensor, and changed all the batteries just to be safe. Thank you Vector Security.

Previous homeowner recommended Install went a little too long. Multiple visits to correct issues. Needed additional service calls to correct issues. Once issues were corrected experience was more satisfying. Would possibly recommend Vector Security to a friend or relative.

Darren call when he was 30 minutes before arrival. He showed up on time, presented his ID and when straight to work. He discovered it was a software fault on the iPhone not the home system. Further he explained features of the phone and home system. Thanks.

I called Vector to change my payment method as my husband and I switched banks. The call took maybe 5 minutes from start to finish. I am a teacher so the briefness of this call was very refreshing. I don't get long breaks and this couldn't have been easier.

Neighbors have been pleased with Vector. We wanted peace of mind when away from home. Planning to do some traveling upon retirement. Love the phone app. Perfect for us. Monte went out of his way to give me the system I wanted in an area where cell phone reception is not the best.

I had an issue my alarm chime battery. Said the battery was low. I called and was able to speak with someone about my issue. They help and scheduled a time to have a tech come to my home and replace the battery for me.

Called to get a certificate of insurance and a equip inventory. The interaction was terrific. She said that I would have certificate in 1-3 business days. She's emailing it to myself and insurance company. I called back to get an inventory of the devices on our system and type of battery. She was very detailed, including locations and number of batteries required for each. Terrific information.

Vector was the company that originally installed the system when we built the house eighteen years, we had a recommendation from local police station to go wireless for safety reasons. I called my representative and they discussed my options with a wireless system and were very excellent at giving me different options. I scheduled the installation without any difficulty and they did arrive on time. The installer spent a long time explaining how to use the new system as well and he did a very good job with the Vector app we can use from our phone. Very happy at this time with the people who I have dealt with so far.

Incredible runaround to speak with a service person. Was disconnected, left waiting for ages, given wrong numbers to call... even one for a different company called Global! Even with my phone on speaker I could barely hear the other person in addition to the line breaking up. After more than half an hour was finally helped by a gentleman called William... He was terrific. Now looking online I see many people complain about problems contacting Vector. I find this disturbing and need to explore changing from Vector.

I choose Vector Security after researching 5 different security companies. Reviews were positive with the BBB and I appreciated the professionalism of the sales consultant and the followup he provided while I was researching. Once I choose Vector Security, the paperwork and setup process was easy and fast. The service technician was courteous and showed me how to use the system in a short amount of time.
A day later one of the motion sensors, installed by an old security company, started to set off the new system in error. I called customer service, after normal business hours, and was connected with a technician who walked me through how to bypass that sensor. The next morning I received a call from customer service again following up on my call from the previous night and to schedule a time for the tech to come out and fix the sensor. The tech came out the same day and everything is working perfectly. That is what I call Exceptional Customer Service!

They were very helpful and pleasant. I have never been in charge of changing the alarm code so they walked me through how to do that and the passcode when you first call in needed to also be changed. Both of the employees were very pleasant and did not make me feel stupid. I am glad I have my services with Vector.

The tech walked me through diagnosing my "beeps", and told me exactly how to replace the battery. Worked just as he said that it would. Very courteous. Pleased with my phone and experience. I would recommend Vector to anyone needing a security system.

They took action to resolve immediately on my monthly bill as I am currently retired and on a fixed income and I was going to cancel the monitoring. The customer service rep without hesitation offered to give me a 2 month discount off my bill which should help with my finances a bit. I am grateful and will keep system monitoring at this time.

We had been with Security Concepts for several years and they were bought out or merged into Vector Security. We have had GREAT service in response to the few false alarms and during bi-annual battery changes and when calling in with questions. Today (Mon Jan 30) I called to get clarity about charges on our monthly billing (we had previously paid just once annually) and Andrew was thorough, patient, and clear in explaining what the charges are and the confusion I had since old balance due was still showing since statement was mailed one day before our check was received.

I called in October 2016 to ask about contract expiration and was informed 12-31-16 was the date and I informed intention to cancel on that date. No mention was made of written notice needed during that conversation. Called again January 2017 to confirm only to find the contract was "subject to automatic renewal," new expiration date 12-31-2017. The receptionist while very cordial said the manager will call me, guess what? No call 5 days later and no termination form was sent as requested.

While using another fire security company we ran into a problem when a part failed and was no longer available. We needed to get the fire system back up and running in short order to pass a building inspection. The company we were working with wasn't able to accomplish this but Vector went above and beyond to get a new system in place and operational in time for the inspection. They were professional, knowledgeable, and able to accomplish what their competitor couldn't. I'm so glad we made the switch!

I chose Vector Security after the recommendation of my father. A security system was high on my priority list for my new home. The whole experience from the company representative, the installer,and the equipment was all top notch. It is an older home with some unique challenges but I wanted to maintain the integrity of the house and its character. My concerns were unfounded . The system is the perfect fit for me & my home. The service department representative was very helpful and courteous. She set the alarm to stop beeping (due to low battery) until a technician could come to my home and replace the system battery; however, would still set off the alarm should there be an intrusion into my home when the system was armed.

We live in westford and we automatically get your security system. This morning the system started randomly beeping. I call the office. The gentleman on the phone was courteous, polite and very helpful. Within five minutes my system was reset and I was ready to go. I'm very happy with the system. In four years this is the only problem that came up which really wasn't a problem. The system just needed reset. I would advise anyone if you're looking for a security system to try Vector.

Received a call regarding possible low battery and no signal. Tech arrived and immediately replaced the battery and tested for signal strength. The problems were resolved quickly and efficiently. Tech was polite and knowledgeable. He was also considerate as it was raining the day of the appointment, and he brought a towel with him to lay on the foyer floor to step on so as not to soil my entryway. It was much appreciated. I have been with Vector for many years and have not had any negative issues to date.

I was impressed by the neatness of the workers and cleanliness of the vehicles. The workers were polite & courteous. The installation went fine, and they explained everything excellent. They cleaned up their trash and disposed of it in a trash container.

Same suggestion as usual. Since we are a real estate company and agents come and agents go, we do not have one single code for the alarm; all agents/employees have their own personalized code. I do not understand the need for me to email commercial care so they can forward the information to Data Entry Department so it can be updated in their records. It seems to me that your programs should talk to each so I don't need to do that extra step. Actually, now that I am writing this, now even sure why we even use the website -- keeping a spreadsheet is just as good since there is that additional step of emailing Vector that we added a person along with their personal code. Does that make sense?

I chose Vector because I currently used them at my mother's home. I initially chose the company before it became Vector; my aunt has the system for over 20 years and has been extremely satisfied. The installation of the system went very well. When I had an issue, the technician immediately corrected it. I am also having a security camera installed. There has been one issue with this, but the company immediately worked to resolve it and re-schedule the installation.

Friends and family recommended AAA which later became Vector. Whenever I've needed Vector, customer service has always been professional and courteous. Call for technician asst., have not used the system for approximately 2 months, due to charges of 150 from the City of Raleigh for calls of alarm going off, though at times I was home (early morning which I was home sleeping and did not hear anything).

We have had Vector Security at Astor home for a very long time and thru the years we have done many expansions to the buildings. Jeff and his service/install team have been a huge reason we have used and stayed with the company. The office staff is friendly and helpful and IF we have a problem they are very fast to come to service. Chris and Dave were here today to do our fire inspection. They are very thorough and professional. They always make this an easy process especially with the children here who can sometimes be difficult. System kept beeping. Status indicated battery low. Vector called me to let me know they had received indication of low battery. We had a power outage and after speaking with a representative it was explained the system would recharge. Upon recheck of status the system no longer indicated low battery.

I just called Julie to ask her to please cancel my account. She listened to what I had to say and actually got where I was coming from. She told me exactly what I had to do. I just did what she said, and, hopefully, my account will indeed be canceled. I really liked how professional she was, and how precise she was. I wish I had spoken with her the two previous times that I called. Above I gave my experience with her 5 stars, but, no, I would not recommend Vector Security to a friend.

Due to office reconfiguration existing alarm system had to be moved. I was not able to give a lot of advanced notice for this work. Even though it was short notice, the work was completed when needed. I was kept informed of schedules, arrival times and any changes. Thank you for excellent customer service!!

We recently changed our phone service from Verizon to Comcast. They were out on several occasions to try and get the phone problems corrected. Their final service call they got the phones working but apparently disconnected the phone line for our Vector system. The Vector technician, Mike, was able to diagnose the problem and get everything working for us. He really seemed to care about what we had been experiencing this past week. We have had the pleasure of having him at our home in the past on service calls and felt relieved today when he arrived, as we knew he would get the problem resolved. Mike is very knowledgeable and courteous and is an asset to your company.

I have been using Vector Security for approximately 4 years now. After about a year our key pad burned out. We called for a repair. The repair person could not determine the cause of the burnout so they made the assumption that there must have been a power surge. However, because they could not prove faulty equipment or a power surge, the repair cost would fall upon the consumer. My husband and I felt the responsibility was on the company due to the lack of proof of anything.
After approximately 4 months of arguing, and getting nowhere, we were given 4 solutions. 1.) Pay for a new keypad (pay them). 2.) Continue paying our monthly service fee without being able to use their service (pay them). 3.) Pay through the end of our contract to cancel (pay them). Or 4.) Use their offer of a free key pad upgrade and extend our contract for another 3 years (pay them). We were incredibly unhappy with the lack of responsibility for something they could not prove our house was the cause. The only reason we continue to use them is because we took option 4 and cannot afford to pay ahead to close out the contract.

I refer everyone to you in and out of state, but many are under the misconception that ADT hung the moon. Just wait until they are robbed and they will regret not listening to me. Some people are just thick headed and will not listen until it is too late.

My only complaint is that your website does not have information on how to update our contact information. After my smoke detector went off about two weeks ago my alarm system was disarmed. When I tried to restart it the system would not work. A Vector representative said I needed a service call and would have to pay. I agreed and waited almost two weeks for an appointment that would have been today. When I received a call from the serviceman he was in Millville, DE which is close to my summer home not where the problem was at my primary home in Maryland. When the original representative made the appointment she never asked which home.
Thank goodness the service agent in Delaware was Tim **! When he heard the mix up he said he could help me over the phone. He had me describe my keypad and was able to walk me through the problem in just a few minutes. What a wonderful man to take the time to help! He deserves to be recognized for his outstanding service! When I called the main number to tell of my experience I spoke with Rita **. She was very apologetic and willing to listen. Both Tim and Rita are great ambassadors for your company! In closing I hope your phone reps will be instructed to ask the address of the home needing service.

I am a long-time Vector customer. My home security system is not working properly so I called the Columbia, MD office this morning to schedule a service call and spoke to Rita. I have never encountered such professional courtesy and helpful and prompt customer service in 13 years of using Vector as Rita demonstrated this morning. She clearly explained the cause of the problem and scheduled a service call for tomorrow afternoon to fix the problem. Great positive attitude that reflects so well on your company. Thank you, Rita!

I had a scheduled service call for a faulty garage door sensor on Friday, January 20. The technician (Dexter **) called in advance of his arrival and arrived on time. I can't say enough good about this man: he was neat, courteous, well-spoken and knowledgeable – a professional in every way. He went out of his way to not only fix the original problem, but he checked out my entire security system and found another weakness & replaced a faulty glass break sensor. He made an effort to know that I understood everything he was doing & why. He reset my system and gave me his business card, encouraging me to call him personally if I needed assistance. I would say he should be training all your technicians to be like him but I don't want to lose him as a technician! I don't know what you're paying him, but it's not enough!

I was a bit disappointed when I was told it would be more than two weeks before I could receive service for my garage door sensor, but I had no choice. I had no choice again when I called today and asked what time the technician would arrive on Friday, January 20: "Between 8 and 5" is an unacceptable answer! That tells me that on my day off I must sit at home and wait for you. It also tells me that you value your time above mine. That is not a customer oriented attitude!
The lady I spoke to on the phone was very polite and understanding when I explained my schedule issues and after a brief hold, she told me the technician would call 1 hour prior to anticipated arrival. That is better, but it's not a schedule. With more than 2 weeks to work with, I would expect a higher level of planning. Do you want to be a company respected for customer service? - Then start by moving your dialogue into the 21st century!

Smoke detector check - Verification that the detectors were functioning correctly. Was concerned that though we had smoke the previous day the detector did not go off. At least I now know that your system does not detect a malfunction. The reason for the failure of the detectors to sound could have been with the distance they are from the problem site or that the smoke was not dense enough to trigger an alarm.

I went with Vector because it was recommended by a friend. It has been a nightmare. Your salespeople do NOT give all the necessary information at the time of sales. Then the company doesn't communicate with the video company. It is not hooked up to Apple computers. Very poor communication skills. Thank God for Justin in customer service. He seems to be the only one who knows what's going on and was very helpful.

Unfortunately we had to discontinue alarm service at the old project office where we had supplies stored. The office flooded, we had to turn off the electric, so the alarm was not working because of turning off the electric. We are going to tear down this office because of mold and health conditions. However, Maudalena ** was most helpful with this request. We discussed the contract and how to send a check to fulfill our obligation to our contract.

My ex-Brother gave my name to your sales Sale Rep. I did explain to your Sales Rep that I did not want your company to debit my credit card on a monthly basis. I do not have not a single paper trail of this transaction. It took over several days for the system to work as it was explained to me. The holidays got in the way and that ok. At the time, it was most compatible with the already existing system and the cost was lower. Service has generally been prompt and efficient except for a couple of weeks ago, when I called for help and only got answering machines and cut-offs from the other end.

Jamie was very friendly and helpful - transferred to another person to schedule appointment for service to come out to change battery. Authorized Dealer could not come until next day. Asked if we could disconnect smoke detector; had to be transferred back to Vector and then again back to dealer. Would have been nice to have been told that we could remove battery from smoke detector to stop the annoying beeping without triggering an alarm.

I chose Certified security, which later became Vector to provide service for my family. They were at a Home and Patio show and I gave them the opportunity to come and provide a quote on a security system for my home. They were competitively priced and worth the money. Over the years they have provide GREAT service. If the alarm went off in the middle of the night they stayed on the line with me while I checked the house and dispatched the police if I was not available. Thanks to the alarm I avoided a couple of attempted break ins at the back door of my home over the holidays when I was away. I am extremely disappointed in my interactions with Vector. I had the security system installed 3 months ago and have had to schedule 4 service calls in that time. Additionally, I was told by the salesman that ALL payments would be deducted through automatic payment, and then received a late notice because that was not correct. It took me multiple times to reach a real person who explained this to me, during which time I was sent a letter threatening collections.

Key fob did not disarm system upon entering, disarm button had to be pushed again. After being in home for about 2 or 3 minutes, siren sounded for split second, and again shortly thereafter. No green light on keypad, status reported phone failure. Recovered on its own and works normally now.

I have been trying for probably a year to get my system fixed. I then tried to just cancel the account and that didn't work either. I just gave up. Then I had my husband try and he is now frustrated. After having this system in my house for over two years, My main door keypad still does not work, my alarm has gone off and we have not received calls to verify that everything was okay. My husband has been waiting for months to have a manager (not the technician team) call him back. That has yet to happen. He tried to have faith in trusting the process, regardless as to the number of times I told him it would be pointless, and he is now angry as well and we just want this system out.
The technician department assigned to our house as well as the one person that we spoke with from the main company informed us that we would not get out of the contract and no matter how many times the system malfunctioned, Vector would continue to come out until the problem was resolved. Again it has been over two years and we are still dissatisfied. The one thing that angers me most is the lack of respect and understanding for military personnel. We move frequently to other bases in and outside of the united states, but we still have to pay for a system that we may not be able to use. To me this company is all about money and not customer service/satisfaction.

We are the caretakers for many home in the area that you service. Chris came today to do the yearly exam of the system. Upon entering the house he removed his shoes and put on slippers he uses just for going into homes as not to track dirt and debris into the home, very important in most homes. I had a problem with a beeping. I could not replace the battery. I have a contract with Vector that covers house calls. I called early on Wed morning and was told help would be available on the weekend. It was very difficult to find someone else to help. I called back on Thursday to ask why a technician could not come for something as quick as a battery change. I was told their schedule was too full and they can't pay overtime. I asked why someone is available during the weekend, not during the week. I was told on the weekend a technician is available who does not do regular service calls. I asked what is such a technician? A person who does clerical or phone work during the week. I have zero confidence in Vector after this experience. The whole purpose is to get help immediately.

Tech support sucks. Trying to locate who provides service to your area is a disaster. Contacting the national number doesn't worked because the office is closed. If your system goes down after normal business hour you are SOOL. The monitoring service is great, too bad the technical support isn't the same. I would not recommend Vector to friends or family for those reasons.

The order number is my account number. I am cancelling my service and Tiera ** asked me to rate Vector as a Company. I enjoyed have Vector. Anytime the alarm went off I would get a call immediately and they would try all my numbers. I just don't feel like I need it anymore. There is nothing that valuable in my house and I live in safe area with neighbors around. Staff I dealt with was excellent and I would recommend to someone if they were looking for security. If I do find I need to put a security system back I would consider Vector again.

Update on 12/26/2019: I have had Vector for five years. Tonii responds nearly immediately and Nathan has been my service tech several times. He is very informative and does a great job. Due to the continued professionalism, I plan on staying with this company for the next foreseeable future.

You really want to know why I chose Vector? Because you bought Cain which gave the best service ever. Your service is horrible and your CEO Pamela Petrow should be fired. I was on hold for 11 minutes because you only had 2 people manning the phones because according to the person who took care of me it was a holiday. Vector is a huge corporation and am sure they could find more than 2 people to man the phones.
You cannot come to repair my system until January 4th! If you were a risky, dink, little outfit I would say OK. You are too big and do not give a damn about your residential customers. You should either just give us the crappy service you give or remove that stupid recording, which obviously means naught, about the great service you have rendered since Ben Franklin's days. You LIE!

We have had Vector service of about 2.5 years. A grave error in Vector billing resulted in an inquiry from our Chase Visa card company whose credit card we canceled and even notified Vector it was changing when making payment the same day in December (to a different Visa Company). A letter from Vector advised us payment was denied when Vector already knew a different credit card was to be used.
It took many calls to different departments to finally get a knowledgeable Supervisor to correct Vector's error. (Michelle **). Having another 2.5 years left on our contract, along with other vendors asking to give us RADIO activation versus our current telephone service at less cost than we are now paying gives us a bad taste for future renewal. They even offer two hand remotes versus only one that we received. Very concerned about Vector's ability for all departments to communicate proficiently with each other. Lucky for us, Ms. ** saved the day for Vector!!!

I called into the customer service center about my account. I was addressed by an rude employee. Her name was Tiffany or Sydney (called twice). My first issue was we have been having these random alarms that are just happening for no reason. So I put in a call to get a technician to come out and check the door sensors. The second question I asked was when my contract was up, I was asked by the rep, "Why did I need to know?" I guess she forgot I was the consumer! She proceeded to tell me my contract was up in Oct, and it automatically renewed for another year. I have been in an 3 year contract and never received a letter to let me know that my contract was coming to an end. On the second call back, I had to ask what date in Oct was my contract up and what was the cancellation policy. This is ridiculous!

I had had a false alarm occur in the middle of the night. I called the office the next day, and I was able to get an appointment set up right away. Jerry diagnosed the problem right away and was very helpful. He arrived on time.

This is for a new installation in Valencia Cove. The technician who installed was very helpful and answered all the questions. The star, however, is Agata **! I needed help getting the alarm certificate online from the sheriff's office. She provided me both written and verbal instructions, answered my many questions, and provided guidance as I tried to navigate my way through the sheriff's online process. She did a really great job!!!

Our contract is up. We would like to cancel. We were very unhappy with the service the product and the customer service. You put junk batteries in your smoke detector and when they fail you want $90 to come and install 2 batteries. I don't need to do business with a company that operates like that. Thank you.

I spoke with Valarie to change our credit card information yesterday. I was in a rush and was rude to her instead of simply responding to her reasonable requests for information. I am on a medication that contributes to irritability but I was quite angry at myself after the conversation ended. She put up with me diplomatically and is a high credit to Vector. Thank you.

We have been a customer of Vector/Hammond for twenty years. Chris was with us fifteen years ago and was always a professional and we were always glad to see him. He goes above and beyond to make sure everything is cared for and we feel secure. We were VERY sorry when he left us to take another position. I chose Vector for a new installation at a second location, because I already had them for my first location. The initial order went smooth with Adam, but the day of install there was a miscommunication on the install time. I was scheduled for 8 a.m. and apparently their appointment times have a 30 min window. The install tech Andrew arrived at 8:31 on the dot. Andrew was great at rushing the installation due to the time miscommunication, which I was happy with. Andrew did tell my salesman on the phone in front of me, that the miscommunication of time was common and not to worry about it.
Andrew was a little sarcastic to me, which I expressed I didn't like. Andrew assured me it was not sarcasm, but just the area he grew up in. All in all I'm grateful that I was able to make my meeting in the end. I did receive a call from Andrew the next day, saying he needed to come out and test something on my equipment. We scheduled for 12/19 at 5:30. Andrew sent me a text with the date and time. I sent him a text the day of to confirm and got nothing. I went to the location to meet him at the scheduled time. He never showed up, called, or text.

DO not sign a contract! I have been trying to terminate my contract - I have significant health problems and are moving to a facility in Raleigh, NC. I can't reach anyone to assist me with this request. Every. Single. Call. GOES TO VOICEMAIL! Further, if they make me pay fees due to this cancellation - it will further support their poor service philosophy. Buyer beware. I can provide letters from my MD and provide any documentation they may need - however, I need to actually talk with a human.

Alarm goes off at all hours and repeated service calls has not resolved problem. This is a new Vector system - less than a year old. It is either a lemon or inferior quality equipment. If you can not fix system will require full refund plus. PA Atty General Dept handles this complaint but I am trying to resolve problem before this action. Contact at once.

Vector services many in the community, and a friend recommended we stay with the service. We are new owners of the property, a resale. As such, we had Vector in, great service, on time, etc. Then we needed the certificate for our insurance, and the service there was great too. Agata ** sent me the document within 24 hours as promised.

I've been a loyal customer since 2011 and stayed despite the high turnover in my neighborhood. I stayed many more years with an old system that just monitored my home. My decision to leave was brought about after a horrific false alarm that had the police report to our home twice while at church. I was so scared to return home despite the police presence because I had been burglarized before. Nonetheless, the officer concluded that it must have been a false alarm that was triggered. I didn't return to the house because my level of anxiety was so elevated from the mere thought of someone still being in the home. After speaking with the rep from Vector I was still left in the dark with a clear explanation of the source for the false alarm. Later on that night when the system was armed, it triggered off two more alarms.
Needless to say I didn't sleep at all from sheer panic that somehow someone was still in the house. I immediately got the system replaced with a more reliable and updated product from Vector's competitor and now they want me to pay $109.00 for a service I no longer have, even though their product failed and customer service failed to diagnose the source of the multiple false alarms that plagued my mind with constant worry all night and day till it was replaced. I believe that when you buy a security system if anything at all, worry is something you don't buy into, but rather peace of mind. So I'd like one of Vector's CEOs to explain to me why I'm being forced to pay anything when their very product failed to provide the thing I've paid for faithfully, even outside of my three year contract.

I arrived home this morning and the keypad was beeping. Called and Danielle helped me through resetting the system. She was patient and helpful and that's why I appreciate the service I get from Vector. There is always someone at the other end of the phone to help me with whatever is going on. Referred to Vector by a friend. Upgraded existing system to cellular from landline. Very happy with the install. They were able to install a translator which allowed us to keep all the original sensors. We had sensors on the tops and bottoms of all our windows and extra contacts to be able to arm the system with the windows open. Being able to keep all the original sensors and contacts saved us a good bit of money.

I have been a Vector customer for 4 years and up until last night was very pleased with their monitoring service. Note, this is only the monitoring service, not the in house customer service for system problems. Their service is excellent! Response to the few false alarms I've caused over the years was excellent - at least up until last night.
My wife and I returned home after shopping. Once we were in the house, I set the alarm, as we do every night. My wife did not know I set the alarm and opened the front door, thus setting off the alarm and siren. I entered my code to silence the alarm and cancel the alarm and waited for the monitoring center to call. About 3 to 4 minutes later the phone rang and I answered it, but there was no one on the other line. I hung the phone up and waited, thinking it was a bad connection and the monitoring center would call back. They never did - nor did they call any of my back up contacts. I called the monitoring center and was told that because I cancelled the alarm, they ASSUMED everything was OK and it was a false alarm - REALLY????
Long story short, I was transferred to a "manager" who told me "This is the procedure in place to stop false alarms to the police department, but we can change it to have you called any time we receive an alarm" - REALLY??? So what they are saying is that if you silence and cancel your alarm, then everything must be OK. I live in New York and the monitoring center is about 200 miles away in Pennsylvania. I would like to know how they can make that determination. This type of security I don't need!
The instructions Vector gave me when I had the alarm system installed state (in part), under "To Silence an Accidental Intrusion Alarm": "If you want to silence the sirens - enter your code. Cancel / Verify will be displayed. Press the button beneath either. The siren will silence and a cancel signal will be sent to Hammond (now Vector). WE WILL CALL YOU FOR YOUR ALL OK CODEWORD". I was either told an "UN-truth" by the monitoring center or the terms changed and I was never notified. Thank God it was not a real emergency. If it was, having this alarm system would not have made a difference at all. I now question the integrity of Vector's monitoring service and some of the people who are supposed to assist in the event of an emergency. I will be looking for another security company. Last night's experience leaves me with too much doubt as to will or won't happen in the future.

Called 11-14-16 to cancel service and CSA was no help, just said I'd get a call back. 11-15-16 I called again and Brandon ** answered. He was polite, professional and knowledgeable. He walked me through the process to cancel service, answered all my questions and promptly answered all my follow up emails. Brandon is the type of customer service rep we always hope we get when needing help.

It was a very painful experience that turned eventually to the better. I was at the end of my three year contract (I have an excellent customer record) and was getting a renewal contract with a reduce rate. It was horrible, they misspelled my last name on the contract; had to redo; they double billed me and debit my bank account (OUCHED!); it took from Oct 18 to Dec 4 2016 to get this renewal corrected; I went thru two customer reps until I got Ms Sandy ** who has put in the necessary corrections to get my renewal contract in order. Praised to Ms **!!! I guess the final results on my account will be okay. Only time will tell if Vector can get it right. If they do, I am a happy retired homeowner with good home security protection.
