I decided to switch to Vector because my mom has had their service for last 25 yrs. and has always had a good experience. They have a really easy to use mobile app and I decided to have them install a doorbell camera that we absolutely love. No more answering the door to be inconvenienced by solicitors! I can see them and talk to them right from my phone. Installers were friendly & thorough. Great experience!

Installer was late. Didn't communicate well. Broke out the wall around the outlet. Second person, George, was rude and interrupted me constantly so I let my husband deal with him. He was there for HOURS, redoing everything that the installer did, setting up our accounts, codes, etc and explaining everything to my husband. And he patched the wall. He just SHOWED UP, when I asked Darryl to schedule with me. Fortunately, my husband was there to work with him. Darryl showed up 2 days later to say my bill would be the same and for me to sign documents.

The original security company that installed my system went out of business, and I was leery about doing business with someone new. But my concerns turned out to be completely unfounded. I found Vector Security online, and read many nice things about them. So I decided to give them a try--and I am glad that I did. Their technicians are knowledgeable, tidy, and efficient.
My first experience was a re-installation of my security system after I had all of my windows replaced, and they did a magnificent job with that huge project. The technician accommodated every request that I made (and I made quite a few!) and he worked quickly and did not make a mess. In addition, they recently fixed a problem with my system that was caused by the latest hail storm. Seeing that I was curious about what he was doing, the technician took the time to explain everything that he was doing, and he answered my numerous questions. He fixed the problem within one hour and, again, did not make a mess. In addition, their office staff is absolutely wonderful--very pleasant and quite helpful.

Vector Security is the very best Security Alarm Monitoring systems I have ever done business with and there have been many others. The price monthly is phenomenal. They give a military % discount monthly. The most important is that the alarm monitoring portion of Vector is when my alarm goes off they respond within 1 minute. They even have a different password which is a distress password if someone is in the house.

The service rep was courteous and polite. Help fix co2 detector. I asked he would change a battery for me and he was willing to help. I appreciate his dedication to his work. Service excellent. I would highly recommend Vector to anyone.

My kitchen window sensor was malfunctioning. We had a false alarm due to the malfunction and the system kept saying that the window was open. Great service. He called to inform me he was on his way and fixed my issue quickly. He even wore shoe covers!!! Keep up the good work and the shoe cover.

Highly recommend this company. The sales rep Chris was very thorough and reviewed solutions I didn't think about previously including water sensor in basement, fire/smoke detectors and a doorbell camera that is very useful! Their installer Todd was very courteous and explained all the "technology stuff" - which actually was easier than I thought. The Vector App was awesome.

I chose Vector Security because I had it on my last home for almost 12 years. The address was **, Silver Spring, MD 20904. During my 12 years as a Vector Security customer I had great customer service, from installation to disconnect 4.5 years ago. I signed my contract with Vector Security on March 3, 2017 and the alarm wasn't installed until April 15, 2017. Greg ** (Home Security Consultant) did not go over setting up my safe/panic words. The installer (Darious), while friendly and good at installing, showed up at 10:30am, without calling that he would be delayed. I had an arrival time between 7-9am. While I may sound like a person who complains a lot, I don’t which says just how annoyed I’ve been with my return as a customer.
This is all that I would have needed to avoid sending this survey. Communication that the consultant that I was to contact with questions was no longer with the company, (I only found out after trying to reach him several times to confirm my original installation date). Ask your installation team to call their customer when running late. I am sorry that I didn't do some research to see how Vector was rated since I was last a customer. I'm not happy and know that I am obligated to Vector for 3 years. I really regret writing this in my survey but don't feel that I've been treated with the loyalty I've shown Vector Security.

Technician continually unable to complete requested work. Needed to come back multiple times. 3/20/17 appointment arrived late, was unable to speak with our IT dept, because it was too late in the day. Was unable install the software as requested.

I am currently having difficulty with (Freddy **) and find that I no longer wish to use your services. I had acquired his number to have a new alarm installed, because I was looking for a lower rate than what I was currently paying and knew my contract was coming to an end soon. On the date 03/17/2017 that Freddy came out to quote and install my new alarm system. I showed him my current contract and was told by him that there would not be a problem and to go ahead and call Central Security Group to cancel my services with them. I was skeptical and questioned what he was telling me, but he assured me and that if in case I were to receive a bill from them to notify him so that I would be reimbursed.
Unfortunately I did receive two more bills in the total of $99.96 because they said my contract could not be terminated until April 30th. I have contacted Freddy several times, last week when I spoke to him he said that come Friday, April 7th he would come by with a check. When he never showed I called him and he said for sure on Monday, April 11th he would come by. He has yet to show up and this last time I called him he answered and said he needed to call me back but I have not received a call nor message from him. I have contacted your main office and was told I would receive a callback with the appropriate person that would be able to cancel my services. I hope you can understand how frustrating, time consuming and irritating this has become and that I am very unsatisfied with the customer service I have received.

Referred by a friend, it did take longer than usual for the job to be completed. Because of Mr. Wyatt ** and his commitment to the company we waited for the completion. These were additions to our existing Vector service. We enjoy the security Vector brings our family and wouldn't consider using another company. Today's installation went very well; no problems. Very pleased with this company overall! Shopped around but they seemed to be the most grounded & easy to talk to about getting information to make a decision. They have a local office so I work with local people & I don't have to call a big national call center. Our installer was patient and thorough with their orientation; answered all our questions and even programmed most of the settings. I recommend this company for home security!

They were the first systems here when we bought the house. Customer service was excellent in that they were friendly, knowledgeable and appeared to be interested in our question. Do not remember installation. It took place in 2003, have not updated system since then.

We chose Vector for our Mt. Vernon location because we have had great success/customer service in our other two locations. Our sales guy was Steve **. He took the time to explain the services and costs, he was fast and efficient. My Installers were Alex, Ed, Spencer, and Todd. They were on time, Very friendly, and explained the system completely. Just upgraded my system to include monitored smoke alarm and quickly received a support letter to reduce my homeowner's insurance costs. Was originally referred by a friend and employee now retired. I would have to say my install technician was the nicest, knowledgeable and patient technician we had ever been around. He cleaned up after himself to the point we did not know he made a mess. He was very knowledgeable of the equipment placement and of the equipment themselves. He was very patient with us old people during training of the alarm panel. Vector has been a good system but the last couple months I left several messages when our old system began to go out and it would take up to 5 days before I could get anyone to call me back. When the old system finally went it took another week to get in touch with someone. I rate your customer service on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the worse. I would rate Customer Service as a 9 for not returning calls. It seems to have improved as of today because Customer Service contacted us to tell us there was a problem. The technician called within 2 hours. So I would say an great improvements.

I have no complaints about the vector system. It is awesome. However, I am getting really frustrated with dispatch. When an alarm goes off they need to speak quickly and tell me which location and which sensor so I can respond quickly with what to do. They are very slow with getting the information to me.

We chose Vector because of your representative, Mary **. Mary bought a vehicle where I work. We got to know a little about one another and shared the same style of selling. We appreciated her tenacity and passion for the Vector products and services. The day she arrived for the consultation, she was prepared to answer any and questions and address any concerns that I had. The process was smooth and painless. She was also able to scheduled and install on a day that was showing booked initially to make it convenient for us to be home without taking off work. We appreciate the way Mary was consultative and didn't push products on us that we didn't need. Alarm was beeping five times every five minutes in am and again at night. Every day without fail. PEĢ who answered phone immediately identified the problem and transferred call to the appropriate technician. PEG was kind and reassuring that the problem could be solved. Technician PAT requested that I go through the keypad, gave instructions clearly, stayed with me. Then PAT reviewed the instructions (to erase an alarm memory) for future use. It was a pleasure to have a problem-solving by these competent and reassuring people. They deserve recognition.

A technician came to my new home and did a walk thru. One week later, no one had called. There was no record of his visit. He walked through a second time. I called. Again, nothing had been submitted from the technician. I had to tell Vector what equipment I wanted. It took me over 2 weeks to get any answers. I was transferred to EVERY department! No one would take responsibility. Total incompetence from each department.

I researched a few alarm companies. VECTOR was recommended by previous owner as she was not satisfied with ADT. I don't know the reason. The salesman answered all my questions and was sensitive to the fact that I wanted to keep the cost down. At the time of installation the tech pointed out areas of concern which I handled at that time. I feel they were very honest.

Our home has been protected by Vector Systems since we moved in. That was over 17 years ago, and it's worked great all this time. The only problem we ever had was one of the leads to one of the zones became faulty. Vector was very responsive. They came out within 24 hours to not only repair the contact but to review all to make sure everything was working correctly.

Most companies basically offered the same kind of equipment as far as alarm system but I think what sets Vector Security apart and above the competition is the level of service the company offer. In my time (15 years) of working with Pyramid Healthcare I have seen a rapid decline in Vector's customer service. I know we have gone out of our way to find other security service companies so as to avoid using Vector Security based on their poor customer service. On average when I put in a service call it's anywhere from 2 weeks to a month to get a problem resolved. To get a service tech to return a call is almost impossible. Jim ** and Karyn ** have gone out of their way to resolve any issues I may have. If not for them I would most likely never get an issue resolved. I can assure you that your poor customer service has cost you many jobs with Pyramid Healthcare.

I have been very happy with Vector Security. I have been with them about six years, after moving into this house, which already had their system. About a year ago I upgraded to a more modern system. When they installed my new control panel they put it where I wanted but after about a week, I changed my mind about where I would like it. They were happy to come out and move my control panel at no charge. Recently I asked that two more entry doors be put on time delay. They did this immediately by remote right from their Poughkeepsie office. There was no charge.
Every time I call they are a pleasure to deal with, whether I am talking to their national office (Philadelphia I think) or their local Poughkeepsie office. The alarm system works great. I have never had a false alarm unless I accidentally opened the door with the alarm on. If I do they immediately call and ask if everything is OK, and ask for my secret password. They are always pleasant and polite. This is the only alarm company I have ever been with, so I can't compare it with any other company, but I can't see any reason why I would ever change.

I subscribed my dad to Vector's medical alert service. Our rep was Gayle **. Gayle came out to dad's house, walked him through operating the system, and made sure he was comfortable with it. In fact, he used the alert to call EMS 2 days after the system was installed!! My dad never returned home after his fall, and when I told Gayle he had passed, Vector canceled the service, no questions asked. No lengthy legal contracts to fill out, just a simple call and Gayle took care of it. I thanked Gayle personally, but also want to take this opportunity to thank Vector Security as a company for empowering their employees to really serve their customers.

From day one our Vector experience has been poor. We paid too much money for outdated equipment and we were locked into an impossibly long contract. The customer service has been terrible. It is nearly impossible to get someone on the phone. We sold our house last year and moved into a condo that we do not own and are not able to install service. However we were not able to terminate the contract. We were given an extension but when the extension passed, service was automatically reinstated at our old address that we no longer own. We were granted a further extension but still charged for two months of service that we never used or authorized.
We have spent so much time and money trying to figure all of this out and I think it is such a ridiculous concept that I am locked into a contract for something that I have no ability to utilize at this point. You need to rethink your contract parameters and revamp your customer service. I can't wait until my contract is over and will no longer use Vector Security.

Amazing service! From day 1, Gayle has been incredibly responsive. She returns phone calls and emails usually within an hour and often within minutes. I don't know how she does it since I know she is meeting with prospective clients all the time too. She is really on top of things. She has been able to answer 90% of our questions herself and gets very fast responses from her team on questions she can't answer. Vector seems to combine the best of the responsiveness of a local company and the buying power of a national company.

Vector Security is the worst security company. We tried for years to get them to fix the problem they created with our system and all they did was a put a band aid on it. No calls from the call center when something was wrong, it took takes to get responses to our phone calls, and no one returned our call when we had had enough and wanted to cancel our account. Now you think I'm paying you $116.00 after I paid my account monthly, on time, through direct pay! Oh Vector Security you are sadly mistaken.

We had been having some issues with our alarm going out and then coming on with many loud buzzing noises. We called Vector and they scheduled a service call for next week. About five minutes after that call the alarm went off repeatedly. We called back and the operator and she rescheduled for tonight. The service provider came within 90 minutes. He was able to identify the problem and reset the alarm. He was helpful in making recommendations for future detectors elsewhere in the house and recommended getting service insurance once our warranty expires.

My alarm went offline a week ago. I called Central Station that same day. They could only forward my call to Service. I was waiting for over 20 min for an agent and just got frustrated and hung up. I called Central Station again and they could only put a notice to call me back. I never got that call back. I tried after a couple of days to call the office directly and got the same wait issue then. I later send an email through the online system and finally got a call after a complaint online. Then I never got confirmation of the appointment and when I called the day of the appt, I was on hold for about 10 min before an agent answer. It was such an easy fix, less than 5 min, and the whole process of just getting an agent and appt was worse and frustrating. A alarm company should have better response rate and customer care if there is really an emergency. This is not dependable service.

I have been a Vector Security System since 2007, at which time my husband passed away. I used to get much better service from Vector than I have in the last two or three years. Your number you call for service is usually answered, however they put you on hold and the last time which was 3-15-17 and no one ever came to take my call. I finally hung up and called another number which I finally got some satisfaction due to the fact I threatened cancelling my service.
Sean ** is the best and only tech that your company has. When Sean tells you he is coming you can depend on seeing Sean. Last year on several occasions I had a low smoke detector battery and it was approx. 2 weeks before someone came to fix. VERY UNACCEPTABLE… I have not had a bad experience when Sean told me he was coming. It is the office that gets everything screwed up... it appears that they don't care whether I get service or not. All your techs are pretty good, but it is the office that transfers the messages and they just don't outright CARE.

We had this system installed in September - and we keep getting calls saying it's not working. No one has been able to fix it and it has been an absolute nightmare! We may be charged a $300 fee from our police department due to the number of calls that they have received and Vector will have to pay for it.

I didn't choose you. We bought a house that had your system and it continually beeped. Upon calling you would not come out and disarm the system and get your stuff out of here, because I am not a customer. Instead you had me playing with electricity and live wires, unscrewing outlets with absolutely no concern for our safety. I cancelled and the new owner said they were going to take over the account and I gave Vector the number for the new owner. Well 6 months later I get a collections call from a RUDE lady saying I owed money plus collections fees. They sent one letter to my old address and made one phone call I don't remember getting. I called to get pay Vector directly and they hung up twice and transferred me a few other times. I paid the full original amount and I am glad to be done with this scam of a company. 2 1/2 years of on time payments and never once needed their service and this is how they treat me.

Eric spent a considerable amount of time servicing our system recently. He was polite, courteous, professional and thorough at all times. It was evident from the start he would be attentive to details and sensitive to our concerns and needs. He was very patient in taking the time to answer our questions and methodically testing all areas of our system. He would not leave until he was fully satisfied that his work and the system worked optimally. Use Eric as a template for customer service, and Vector will always flourish!

We are extremely pleased with the work that Roger ** and installers Roger ** and Ricardo ** did on our house in Great Falls, Virginia. Roger and Ricardo set up 8 cameras over one week's time in the snow and did an excellent job with the installation. They are extremely knowledgeable and explained the operation of the system very well. Again, we are very happy with our salesman, Roger ** and his installation team.

I chose Vector Security because of their outstanding response time and customer service. I learned of the longevity of the employees, which speaks volumes about the company. I had a beeping alarm sound and a low battery indication on my phone app. Michael ** responded immediately and assisted in solving my problem. I asked customer service to fax an updated alarm certificate to my insurance company. I needed this done quickly to ensure maintenance of a security discount on my homeowner's policy. It was done within 15 minutes. I applaud Vector Security Customer Service on their efficiency.

We chose Vector years ago because the salesperson was personal and impressionable. We couldn't get in touch with anyone about our concerns for about a week but on 3/16/2017 Brittany ** contacted us back finally and it has been a good experience today. Chris, the technician, diagnosed recurrent problem with the dining room glass break detector quickly but did not have the part needed for this older security system. He returned a few days later with a replacement part that fit exactly. He was courteous and pleasant to speak with and I would recommend him to friends.

We had our yearly check up today. We had an alarm on zone 5. I was worried that it would happen again. Zone 5 is all our 1st floor Windows and basement. Chris was analytical approaching our problem, was thoughtful, kept me informed and solved the problem. How fortunate you are to have him on your staff.

We've been Vector customer since 2008. We had new contract signed March 6, 2017 and a week later was the installation on March 14, 2017. The technicians did their job, and one even came late, after the other tech already is about 90% finished with the install. It took more than 2 hours. We couldn't get it to work, and had to call the technician to come back same day in the afternoon to fix the issue. Over the span of 48 hours from the new installation of the new equipment, we kept getting texts and calls from Vector saying there's a trigger alarm and the panel is sending trouble signal. It's frustrating when the job is not done from the first visit, and this is the THIRD time we've had a technician come out and it's only day 3 of the system. It is ridiculous. I would like someone to give me a call back to discuss this please.

I have been a customer of Vector for 15 years. I needed help replacing the batteries in my motion detector and Josh was my assigned agent. He went over and above with his patience and guidance to get me squared away and alarm reset. He provided STELLAR customer service. After a long day at work, coming home to have to deal with this, Josh made it happen with ease! Great Job Josh!
