    We originally had Vector Security then we upgraded to the system that doesn't require a phone line. We were having issues with landline and this solved our problem. We like the deadbolt we had installed on our front door. Very convenient when having to let someone in when we are not there.

    I am very disappointed with Vector. In my contract it indicates I am entitled a FREE move. I was told they could not move my system due to it was hardwired installed by Vector. This was not my fault. FREE means FREE. What was offered was to take out a new contract for an additional three years which I did not want to do. I had less than a year on my current contract. Now I am getting threatening calls about a remaining balance. I have had no correspondence with anyone from Vector offering a solution. When I did call a rep all she said was sorry they could not do anything since it was all hardwired and she wanted me to take out a new contract.

    I thought this was a reputable company, now more than 5 years later I can't say that it is. I expected a phone call or other communication after the contract ended, little did I realize that the contract had an "auto renew clause". Today I was informed since I did not notify them 30 days in advance of the end of the contract it is now auto renewed for another year. I did call them previously in May since I did not hear from them near our anniversary date. At that time they failed to mention the auto renew, instead they offered a slightly lower monthly price if I signed a 3 year contract. It makes me wonder if they are even monitoring our system at all? We were never late on a payment or missed a payment in over 5 years and we met our obligation to the original contract.

    I called around June 7th to cancel my service after 3+ years. I was told I could cancel, but would continue to be billed until February of 2018 due to an annual auto renewal. I became irate and was told it was clearly stated in line 3 of the contract in bold letters. I told the service rep it was an absurd business practice. She was very patient as I was angry and rude.

    I had to call again on the 14th because I had not received the cancellation instructions. I spoke with Maudalena ** who provided me with the instructions and confirmed receipt after I emailed them. The customer service was 5 star, but the auto renewal policy loving in another 12 months is poor business and needs to be changed and received 1 star. Averaging to 3 stars. Don't put your customer service employees in a position to defend poor business policies.

    I have been a Vector customer for 12 or more years. I moved from OH to MA in early December 2016. It took a few months before I was settled into a residence and could re-install my security system at home. Actual re-install took place on 5/16/2017 and was finally completed on 6/1/2017. This was hopefully the final call of multiple calls made to various departments at Vector Security to resolve the glitches errors/oversight that occurred in the process of my moving my system from Warren, Ohio and re-installing my system in Arlington, MA.

    The call included critically administrative corrections regarding removal of my old address, linked to my current and primary cell phone number, which could have resulted in dispatch to my old address in OH! I also had to review and re-inform, in intricate detail, the monitoring center's list and exact protocol to follow when responding to an alarm that has not been reset or cancelled, responding to an alarm that has been reset or cancelled and calling to notify me of trouble signals, low batteries etc.

    I placed the call to the Braintree office, and upon multiple attempts through the automated system, Mr Jim ** is the only person who answered the phone. He went out of his way to search for the right department and appropriate person to speak to! He was very considerate, courteous, and very patient, in spite of the fact that he is far removed from the departments that needed to be reached (Mr. Jim ** is Director, Video Technology National Accounts - a kind gentleman who actually answered his phone and kept me on the line so that I would get cut off by mistake - so very helpful - in the middle of his very busy workday). I truly appreciated his efforts.

    Fortunately Mr Jim ** was able to connect me directly with a supervisor in Warrendale, Paula **, who then patiently, courteously and efficiently made these critical corrections and updates. Upon my request, to ensure that all departments have my profile, account info and calling protocol consistent with each other, she also messaged the Service Department informing them of the same. I requested an email confirming and outlining said revisions so that all of us are on the same page. Thank you and I hope you have a pleasant, safe weekend!

I want a contract that ties more to the length of my original contract attached to my original contract and without any rollover. I want to know the charges for installing my system, yes, I paid for it, at the new location. Your company is completely disreputable. I was considering upgrading the system, but all of your employees lie. If your company was any good, your employees wouldn't have to lie all the time. Now, give me the appropriate contact so that I can continue service at the new location. You are denying me service where I need it!!

    My 5 years was up May 14, 2017. I knew I had to call 30 days before. I called April 14th. Their phone system is unfriendly. After 5 minutes on hold it disconnects. I called again. Another 5 min disconnect. 3rd time I left message for call back (they say within 24 hrs). I was given a return call May 19, my 30 days was already passed. I explained that and wanted a less expense plan. He said, "Don't worry about the 30 days," back forth phone calls.

    I called again 26th, left message, called 27th, closed, called 29, retention dept. closed, said call 30th 7 am. Called 7am, said don't come in till 8. I called again 1:30, disconnected 2 times. Finally answered, past 30 days can't cancel, explained all. They have no record of me calling on the 14th. I said someone called back on 19th they had to get my number from somewhere, can't cancel. I said this isn't what 1st person said, asked to speak to supervisor. Again can't cancel, can't prove I called on 14th. Must keep plan for another year or they will cancel and charge me $659.88. Asked to speak to their boss. In meeting. Someone will call back within an hour... No return call. Customer service is horrible.

    When I needed a new battery you were on top of it. When the system malfunctioned, the appointment department was supposed to call to set up an appointment for service. So far they haven't called. At this time, I am not sure if I should engage the system.

    The staff has always been great. The tech today was very helpful. The only problem I had recently was that the main center called two weeks in a row to tell me we needed maintenance and both times I said I would like to schedule an appointment. After three weeks I still did not get a call. The person on the phone saw the record of this and apologized but this was very annoying.

    I originally had missed my first appointment because I had arrived home late. The technicians left a message on the door for me to reschedule. So, I did that and Vector was so professional and polite even though it was my fault for missing the technician. When the technicians arrived for the follow up appointment, they both showed me their identification badges and promptly put on their shoe covers before entering my house. They worked thoroughly to replace my batteries and even discovered that they had to replace a damaged door contact. I was so impressed with their work and professionalism. The icing on the cake was when they also sat with my husband and I and helped us download the Vector app so that we can now use our phones to set our alarm. I am so grateful and very satisfied with their outstanding work!

    So far my experience with Vector has been very disappointing. I understand things happen but from the sale to the install I've had to give more time to this than its worth. Besides offering to work around my schedule to fix mistakes that are actually unacceptable in the first place - nothing has been done to compensate for the problem.
