I was unable to save or retrieve video footage from our security cameras. Dave ** walked me through the process including the download for the video viewer I was missing and made sure I was able to retrieve and view the files I needed to save.

I chose Vector Security upon the recommendation of a friend who is a Vector Home Security customer. We recently had a service call performed by "Jared" to install 2 new heat detectors and the Amazon Echo Dot. Jared was very professional, arrived on time, and was extremely knowledgeable on all aspects of the home security system. Jared answered our many questions, since we are new Vector Security customers. I would like to commend Jared for his excellent service and would welcome him to service our account in the future. Installation went extremely well. Technician was very knowledgeable and explained the entire system in an easy manner. Have been a customer for a number of years and decided to do an upgrade. The new system is a big improvement over the last system.

We have had Vector for over 22 years and have been very happy with their service. We had Vector out today to upgrade our system to cellular so that we can control our alarm and thermostats from our home in Florida. Mike was great and was very helpful and knowledgeable of the products he was installing for us.

We originally chose Vector because they promised us good customer service, prompt service, and a TV when signing up. With that said, we have been experiencing the exact opposite. Customer service has been not been friendly or accommodating to our needs. The amount we are paying for this system is not worth. When the service techs come out they have been the only good thing. They are friendly, helpful, and caring. They seem to adjust or try to fix any problems with the company. As a family, we just feel that we got duped by the company and the only satisfying thing are the service techs.

We have had Vector in our home and business for several years. They have done CCTV for our business in several locations that we can monitor for a central location which gives us peace of mind. The security is great for monitoring our home and business. Very knowledgeable technicians regarding solving any problems that may arise.

I chose Vector Security because my brother is a sales rep. I was pleasantly surprised with how well they trained him in a quick amount of time. We have a contract with Vector so we use them all the time. The service person came on time and completed the work as expected in a timely way. My only recommendation would be to be able to schedule the service more quickly as we had to wait 5-6 days before they came out. Thank you for the service.

We chose Vector because my Daughter had your security system in their home when it was built. We have been a customer for five years. The service is very good. We are notified by central station when there is a problem. We like the phone app because it lets us know when there are problems. The service technicians are very helpful when they are here.

We are having our old system upgraded. The installation of the new system was fine. The tech showed up on time and ready to work. He explained what we was getting and promptly began to work. When he was done he went through the online service and explained all the extras that was available to us.

John was very helpful today. He found programming errors that installer made and fixed them. Walked around house and found security issue with the install and offered to move and install glass break detectors. I found the new glass break was reasonable priced. John was very polite and I would recommend him to anybody.

Vector has overall been responsive since we have been customers. Tommy is a smart technician who has worked on our house before and I would request him again. The only negative I have is that it took forever to connect with someone on the phone. The hold time was way too long!

I have been a Vector customer for over 12 years. First I was in Warren, Ohio and now I'm in Arlington, Massachusetts. I had a wonderful experiences with Jessica ** who is at the Wilkes-Barre Center. She provided me with a great deal of professional support with a lot of patience and understanding. She is very knowledgeable in multiple aspects of account management as well as Administration. Jessica was extremely thorough and spoke succinctly with knowledge and accuracy. I really appreciate the time she spent with me to go over any and all questions I had including some unresolved issues which she said she would follow up with and contact me shortly.
I received one of her follow-up emails immediately after our conversation ended and am waiting for another soon. In spite of the long list of items I discussed with her, Jessica remained calm, focused and extremely diligent. I felt that I was speaking to an upper-level manager who was my personal account representative! She is quite outstanding. Kindly forward my review of Jessica to her since I would like her to know how much I appreciate the time she took to take care of any issues I had. Thank you for having such great staff to take care of your customers. There is no doubt in my mind why you have so many loyal customers including me. My daughter and son-in-law have Vector and recommended that I switch to Vector. The other system went way up in price. The installation went smoothly. My complaint is that when I was away my alarm went off twice but Vector did not call the name I had on contact list. We think the problem was due to severe weather in the area.

This was an add-on to my existing Vector system. The tech was very efficient and professional and arrived on time. His work was neat. It was a pleasure working with him. He added two carbon detectors and mounted them as the manual described.

Mike showed up during the time window that we were promised. He was very proficient throughout the entire install. He was very thorough with my wife and I when it came time to doing the demo. He suggested installing a remote thermostat for us to control our HVAC from our home in Hurlock. We have been very pleased with Vector service and their central station response time.

We recently had a military inspector here at our warehouse and because we are not given a copy of the report that is required from your service tech, we had to call into your office and was not able to speak to anyone after being on hold for over 15 minutes. We were told that we could only e-mail your office. Unacceptable! We need to have the reports when they are due and be able to speak with someone when we call!

My only hesitation so far has been the amount of time it took to be contacted to install and the serviceman was 45 minutes late with no phone call. I have been very happy with the service and the customer service. They have always been very prompt in calling if there is A problem. The service people have been very helpful and friendly. We called Vector due to the front window sensors not working. Apparently the sensors were too large. The tech saw this immediately and fixed the problem. Alarm system for the front windows is now functioning. Tech also suggested we get the maintenance plan which sounded like a good idea.

Changing motion detector batteries is NOT intuitive. I had a sense as I tried to wiggle the device off the wall that I should call in and get step by step directions before I broke something. Was lucky to get Danielle, who patiently waited while I assembled the required tools, and then walked me a step at a time (and there are MORE steps than you would think) through a perfect battery installation. Upon arrival, my Vector tech assessed the problem with my unit and determined that there was a problem created by the install of Google Fiber phone. We had been contemplating upgrading to a new system that is not reliant on a landline phone. He explained the benefits and cost of upgrading our system and we decided to have the touchscreen 2Gig system installed. It was a smart use of our money instead of paying to repair our old system. We have been happy Vector customers for 10 years and look forward to continued excellence with our equipment and monitoring service.

We have used Vector Security for about 15 years and have always been satisfied with the service. We just recently updated our system, adding the doorbell camera. We have experienced difficulty with the speed, and therefore requested service. The serviceman who came out spent a great deal of time, trying to get to the bottom of the problem, which most likely is related to our router, not a Vector problem. I really appreciate the time he spent in helping me understand the issues involved. I would certainly recommend the Vector company if asked by friends or neighbors.

System works fine, experience through my move was not ideal. Took a long time (2 weeks) to get system installed at new place. I had to follow up several times by email to get it scheduled. Had many problems with ADT. Switched to Vector years ago - no problems since. Smoke alarm is very sensitive and unsure of why it went off. Service call was to put it back up and re-engage panel. Also added door lock and two cameras!!! Unplanned but too good of a deal to pass up.

I chose Vector because the company serviced a home I owned in Maryland. The service provided was for my mother's home at ** Wash, DC. My mother passed away a year ago. I've been attempting to cancel service because the home is going up for sale. My first experience with customer services was interesting. However, I feel very confident that my interaction with Rashard, Sally (I hope I spelled her name correctly) L.T. and a fourth young lady (who's name escapes me at the moment) will be successful in the handling of the account. All four of the company associates were extremely polite, professional and helpful with excellent phone skills. My earlier conversations with other associates, I got the impression that they were somewhat annoyed.

We have used Vector several times in the past. In fact this time once we added to our home on we added another house and a business. As we were signing up for the service we were told by the installer that it would be a two-year contract. As we were leasing the house for two years that fit well with our plans. Now 2 1/2 years later upon moving we now find it was a 3 year contract because it wasn't written in in the original contract. We are on the hook for over $235. In addition I wasn't given the opportunity to speak to a manager as requested. I should have checked the contract. However having used Vector in the past I had a level of trust that it will be done right. In fact I have referred my family and friends to Vector. All that will change now and I guess that's what the internets for, to warn those to make sure they don't have the same bad experience.

I'm moving, and I have called Vector Security 3 times and was promised a callback to close out my account. I've handled every other utility with a simple phone call or online request. This has been going on for over a week! This is UNACCEPTABLE!!! Based on this experience, I will NEVER recommend or use your service again. There are plenty of other security companies to chose from. You've lost a good, solid paying customer for good. I WANT SOMEONE TO CONTACT ME TO CONFIRM THE CANCELLATION OF MY ACCOUNT. My account is automatically paid from my bank. I am not paying for this service for a second past midnight July 31, 2017. Today is Thursday July 13. We have access to control our alarm panel, thermostat, and also lights that we can control on our smart phones...which a lot of other competitors don't have. Our company has used Vector Security on multiple jobs; however, the disconnect between the main office and the local office seems to have caused serious billing issues. I'm constantly speaking with the main office about invoices overdue but never received, incorrect invoice amounts, and lack of description on the invoices. "Add on residential" is not a description of the work done. The people who do call from the main office, such as Janette **, are rude when they call. I can't pay an invoice I never received. I must say that even though she was rude, she is providing me more detail about the invoice. I've also gotten invoices that were voided and corrected with another invoice but never informed. We use your company because the work is done well, but when it comes to the billing system, it's a disaster!

We started with one location and now 3 have had burglar and fire systems installed. The install had minor hiccups, but the customer service response to those hiccups was exceptional. I believed I needed to update my system and chose another company because of their lower rate not realizing Vector may be able to match their price. Not certain they would have upgraded my system. We have been customers for quite awhile. We left ADT after 3 years of being their customer because they kept raising the prices they charged. We started having difficulty with our system and I called Vector and found out that we had the service agreement all along. I also was concerned with the price increases. Vector was referred to us by several neighbors for their responsive service and reasonable pricing. We have been pleased with all service technicians and phone operators and feel very comfortable trusting vector with our home security. Each time we have been called by vector because of an alarm being tripped, they have been very helpful and calm.
We hope to not need vector for anything more than false alarms (or the occasional squirrel who has gotten into our house through an open flue), but know that if there were a real emergency they would be looking out for our safety. Technicians arrive when they say they will and are courteous and professional. We have recommended vector to friends in the neighborhood and will do so again.

We had an older model Vector Security panel for about 18 years. When we eliminated our landline, it caused problems with the monitoring, so we had a technician come out. Jay ** came out and was able to fix the problem, but in expressing my concerns to him about some additional monitoring needs, he came up with a solution that involved upgrading our panel. It turned out to be a bigger/longer job than he had anticipated, but he made sure to get it scheduled and completed prior to our leaving on a trip. He was flexible, friendly, quick to respond to texts, kind to our animals and very patient with walking me thru the online programming. We received exceptional service! Thanks again Jay!

I have had Vector for years. I recently disabled my landline at my home. When I did I called Vector weeks later to notify them and ask what options I had for security monitoring. The options were a wireless upgrade. The upgrade had some nice features. The salesperson said that there would be a monthly upcharge of an additional $10 per month and I would need to sign a 3yr contract to get the upgrade. I asked if I was under contract and the salesperson said NO. I told the salesperson that I would shop around and circle back around if I decided to stay with Vector. After shopping around I have decided to disable the monitoring service altogether. I'm not moving my service to a competitor, I've just decided to disable the monitoring.
I have a couple of issues with Vector... #1 and the most important. Why did I have to call Vector weeks after disabling my landline to notify the company that my landline was disabled. That's a huge red flag. Why wouldn't your company contact me immediately when a signal was no longer detected. It make me think I didn't have monitoring service to start with. Now that I have contacted your company with the request to disable I have been offered the upgrade at no additional monthly charge. That's poor service in my eyes. Why wouldn't your company offer that to me as an existing customer months ago. Why wait until I call to disconnect service to offer the upgrade at no additional cost. It seems like a current customer should get preferential treatment over a customer leaving.
Now that I've decided to leave I was informed that I am in fact under contract until Feb. An automatic renewal option is in the contract I signed. Trust me I pulled my contract and I see it. Well... you got me with the fine print. If I would have known that months ago I might have kept the service but now it's the principle of it all that I have decided to leave. If my only option is to pay the $29 monthly fee until my service contract is up I will but you can bet I will send that termination letter before I go under automatic contract again!! And a written letter in order to terminate my contract... Really?? Your company is just making it a chore to terminate the agreement. No one writes letters anymore. A simple email would do but your company is punishing me for leaving. Very poor customer retention process your company has in place.

Thankfully, a representative from Vector, Keisha, was able to walk me through what had become a problem for me. She was very patient and kind enough to assist me. As I am not a technological "expert", without her, I could not have ever obtained the document I needed for my home insurance company.

I was having problem with my alarm system showing a low CPU battery. After purchasing the battery at a local Battery Plus store and installing it, the same conflict was identified. I contacted Vector Security and spoke with a nice young lady on the phone who directed me to complete a couple of steps which in the end put my alarm back to working mode.

Replace batteries and glass breakers. Check all other breaker, review upgrade systems, and check all other systems to make sure they were in working order. The services tech did a great job. Look forward to getting upgraded.

Replace magnets on Windows. Excellent and fast service. Technician was early and very helpful. The magnets had fallen and the courtesy call was very good. I've been a customer for 11 years and will remain with Vector Security. Tech also did a happy dance, very pleasant and polite. Thank you Vector for always providing great customer service.

We installed a Vector Security system in my mom’s house a couple years ago... Along with my business office. We are impressed with the professional service we have received… We made a couple requests with my mom’s medical alert and the staff always adheres to those requests. We've lived in our home for 10 years and have used Vector the entire time. The home was prewired. However, Vector has installed glass breaks. The service has been very good. The monitoring portion has been excellent too. We recently had two false alarms and the monitoring service was quick to alert us. The service technicians have been friendly. Would highly recommend Vector.

I got kids in the neighborhood trying to break in all the time. I called ADT and they came out to install my system and it was a disaster. Three days later the door sensors were falling off and I was wires hanging all over the place. I kicked them out. I called Vector Security and they sent me a very knowledgeable young man who did a very good job installing my system and made me feel more comfortable and made my wife happy with the installation. He did a good job teaching us how to use it and we would recommend Vector in the future.

We had Vector installed during our build 7 years ago and wanted it upgraded and activated. Chris was very helpful on his visit. We requested Mike as he had worked with us back in 2009. Mike was very helpful, competent, friendly and knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions and re-explained things as many times as necessary and always with a smile.

We just had a new panel installed last week. I was the only one home who was demonstrated how to set up on the computer and download the app. We have been having problems doing the same for the other members of the family. Talked to Tina this morning who walked us through it step by step, very patiently and got us all set up. She was so kind and easy to work with. Really appreciate her help! We could not have done it without her! She offered her phone extension should we have any other questions to make sure to give her a call! Now that is service!! Super pleased!
