I originally chose to stay with Vector because I was with Owl security and when Vector took over I decided to stay with Vector. I have been pleased with Vector and my system has been generally maintenance free with the exception of low backup batteries. I did have one false alarm recently but it was quickly resolved by the service dept. I am thinking of upgrading my system to a newer system and will most definitely use Vector.

My brother recommended your services. I'm happy with the services. Alarm system is easy to work. Tech very helpful in explaining the system's features. The tech also checked all the batteries in the system and smoke detectors. He also told me about a feature that I was unaware of.

I received an explanation of the functionality and was able to select the options that met my needs. The installer was on time, courteous and made sure everything was working properly before he left my home. I feel safer knowing that my home is being monitored by a company that takes security serious.

Technician was excellent. He was very knowledgeable in repairing the alarm panel. He also recommended getting a service contact for the system and he explained the advantages of having a service contract. I agreed to getting a service contract. Great experience.

Great experience. Enjoyed the personal nature of everyone I've experienced and immediately recommended them to several friends and colleagues. The service is great and love being able to control so much at the house from my phone. Constantly updating my house thermostats is one of the best and linking to Alex's adds to the benefit.

We choose Vector security for their personal service and A+ customer rating. I love the fact we can customize our plan and what we want. The manager (Stone **) checks on us and makes sure that we are doing well and if makes sure to contact him if we need anything. I recommend Vector to everyone.

Excellent service and great technician. I have been a customer since 2002. The service is very reassuring, my children insisted on me having a security system after my husband passed away. It has made me feel safe as well as peace of mind for my children who are not in the area.

Today I had a technician come out to my residence to add a communist actor to my alarm system. The technician explained to me what he was going to be doing and addressed any questions I had on operating and getting a new user guide for the system. Overall I am satisfied with today's service call.

I have been with Vector for a number of year and have found their service and product to be superior. Their tech know their product and are professionals when it comes to repairs and service. I would certainly recommend Vector to friend and family as I have done previously.

The service was adequate, luckily we never had to use it. The problem with Vector is that their contract locks you into long-term commitments (3 years!), auto-renews after that for a *year* at a time, and canceling the contract is a nightmare that cannot be accomplished directly in person, online, or over the phone. The exact process is very opaque, their website gives virtually zero guidance and even finding the correct people to talk to on the phone is a monumentally frustrating task.
Cancelling involves notifying them in writing (but good luck figuring out where to send your written notice) 30 days before your contract automatically kicks in for another *year*. My wife tried to visit their Virginia Beach office in person to cancel the contract, but was told that it could not be done there, and they couldn't tell her where or how to actually do it. They do not even honor Military PCS orders if you intend to rent your home but don't want to pay for a security system there anymore after you move (they will only cancel a contract if a military member actually sells the home).
With today's technology, nobody should sign up for long-term contracts for home security systems. Bottom line: The service was fine, but the contract is way out of date to today's market options, and there is no reason to get locked into something like this. The process of canceling is overly-burdensome and buried in fine print and even talking to Vector representatives leaves you running in circles trying to find someone who can help you with it. I would absolutely not use them again because of this and would recommend people investigate other options as the market has many updated solutions no longer tied to draconian contract practices such as this.

It's important that you know (even though I'm a bit late sending this) that the service I received in August from John was exemplary. He is extremely knowledgeable about the system, professional, and took the time to ensure the system was installed professionally. I insisted that no lines be visible, which I knew might take more time in the install. John did exactly what I asked which gave me even more reason to share with friends the great service and professionalism of the Vector staff. John took the time to stay and walk me through the system and answer all the questions I had. I truly hope that John receives this review as I'm sure I'm not the only customer that received such great care from him. Thanks for sending me such a great person to care for my home.

I'm overall pleased with Vector however we are paying quarterly and have not received the last 2 statements with our respective due dates. This is despite the correct email and address being on file. The customer service rep who called to tell me my bill was past due AGAIN kindly helped me set up autopay so hopefully this will not happen again.

Choose this system because a college girl was soliciting through our neighborhood. She told us about the system, when it could be installed. Sign here, here and here and boom it was done. $55/month for 5 years. Had no problem with service for 5 years and payment was set up for automatic withdrawal from bank. Fast forward now to 5 years and 2 months later. I have automatically been signed up for another year. I had no calls, letters, emails or anything informing me of this. I done what I said I would do for 5 years and now this is the way Vector treat its customer.
When we signed with the little girl we were not told there was an automatic resigning. It was in the fine print in the contract. If I knew this was the type of company Vector was I would have never agreed to this deal. I will never sign with them again and I will put my opinion of this company out to everyone I get a chance to. I don't feel it is asking too much to get some type of notice that your contract will soon be up and we would like to continue your business. This is the highest home security system at $55/month and the worst customer relations I have ever seen in a company! I will leave this site now and go to the BBB so others will not be done like I have been.

Thank you for your feedback. Our contracts contain an automatic renewal clause to give you peace of mind that there will never be a lapse in your security monitoring. You may cancel renewal of your contract by providing written notice to us at least 30 days before the end of the contract period. Written notices of cancellation should be sent to your local branch. If we do not hear from you, we will automatically renew your contract for one year, after the initial contract term, to ensure continuous monitoring of your security system. We cannot accept cancellation requests via phone or email.

We wanted to reduce our monthly costs, but found that staying with Vector and just reducing a couple of needless add-ons did the job on cost reduction. Maudalena ** did a very good job explaining everything to our satisfaction. She is a well trained and excellent person in the role she has with Vector. I would have dropped our contract without her good advice and we always have been happy with the quality of Vector services. I have had security with Wells Fargo and ADT and neither ever was nearly as responsive as Vector has always been.

We've been customers for 7-8 years. Recently we switched from Cox Cable to FIOS. We lost our security from Vector b/c of the way Verizon hooked FIOS up and lost phone service to Vector. After getting Verizon back out to fix their install, Miriam ** was able to walk me thru the reactivation of our security system. Two weeks ago she helped me shut it down. She is a GREAT employee and a huge asset to your company!!! She is customer friendly and knowledgeable in all areas! I give her five stars herself. She is the reason I stay with Vector. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The install experience was positive. There were a couple of challenges with the door lock but Vector worked around my schedule to ensure that I was happy with the install. The install team took time to explain the operation of the equipment and how to use the app/web site for modifications and updates. We had ADT in the home when we moved in. We had tried to get them to come and re-connect us with their service numerous times to no avail. So we researched and found Vector security. We have had the alarm for about 5 years and no real issues just minor things once in a while. So far so good. Vector A+.

Shortly after my husband passed away the family decided I should get an alarm although I felt I didn't need one. Later on after my fall and injury I got a medical button that connects to the alarm service so now it serves its purpose. Not had much trouble with it. Just a battery needing replaced ever so often. I'm happy with the service.

It all started with my house flooding while I was on vacation. With all of the renovations that were being done I thought I should go ahead and put a security system in. Rick was very good at figuring out what I needed and got me when I wanted without spending too much. Vector alarm service was already in the home when we purchased well over 8 yrs ago and we've been satisfied with the service with only a few minor quirks with a glass det monitor and today (reason for service) low alarm system battery. Other than that all has been great!

When the alarm goes off, Vector responds quickly. However, an employee recently triggered our alarm and he called to tell Vector about it and no one answered the phone. This probably needs to be addressed.

I had an interaction today with your tech support representative Jerry. He did a fantastic job at guiding me through the proper steps on disabling a sound that was driving my family and I crazy. He made sure to go out of his way to make sure he showed me how to do a few other additional things just because I simply mentioned it. I will say I was on hold before the call was picked up for a good 10-15 minutes but once the call was picked up everything else was smooth and effective.

Well not a heck of a whole lot to say. We got Vector from a guy that used to work at ADT in was the company that had first did the alarm. They never called whenever the alarm would trigger or had a problem so it was hard to say if that old alarm really worked as it should. Vector seem to be doing alright but we do have some issues every now and then with false alarm and low battery on contacts that are wireless. Other than that all else has been good.

We initially chose Vector because my parents had used Bayou Security for years (which became Vector). When we bought our first house, I went up to our local office (which has a very nice staff) and signed our contract for our security system. I was told the contract was for 5 years and before I signed I questioned the five years asking "What if we move?" or "Something happens and we need to cancel our contract before the five years?" The sales person told me "No big deal, we can easily cancel it."
Two years later, we sell our house and are moving into a brand new home in a neighborhood that did not need a security system. I called to try and cancel it and was told I would owe the three years left on the contract if I wanted to cancel it, about $1500. We were also told the people buying our house could take over our contract if they wished, the new homeowners agreed. Fast forward 2-3 months and the homeowners never signed a contract and wouldn't answer my phone calls. I got numerous calls from the business office about my payment being late and how I would be sent to collections.
We finally said we would just take over the contract and started to get it set up and the Vector security office again called and told me I was being sent to collections as well as I got a letter one day about 7 days after they had mailed it stating I would be sent to collections in 4 days if I did not pay the remainder of my previous contract (even though I had signed a new contract and had my security system installed in our brand new house two weeks before). Needless to say, the salesperson lied to me. I understand the five year part was on the contract, but he lied to my face and said they could easily cancel it. So after 32 more months of this security system, we will be switching to another company. I will also never recommend this company to any family or friends.

Had Vector for a long time due to some interesting events in the neighborhood and the fact that we travel a lot that it makes good sense to have some type of security measures in place. When we first moved in about thirteen years ago Vector had a partnership with Ryland homes, for that reason we chose Vector Security. Everything had been fine with the system. Customer service is good. I never had a problem with them.

Had an actual alarm due to electric motor fire. Fire department had trouble silencing/resetting system. In doing so armed security system which then activated when doors were violated by employee. Zone that was activated was zone 4. The smoke detector that was activated was detector number 4 on zone number 6.

Very happy with the installation in our new house. Kevin went over the app, actually explained cameras in the SkyBell, we had those on to the system. He explained the app for the SkyBell, the overhead door devices, the two wireless cameras look great.

Chose because we had ADT in the past and were recommended by friends that had Vector and seemed very happy with the alarm. Don't really use it as much we should but the fire alarm is always active so it alerts automatically for us. Otherwise happy so far.

When I signed the contract 2 years back sales representative told me all equipment repair and battery replacements are covered for 3 years. As of today I had two times service by Vector for equipment battery replacement and every time they charged for it and it is very difficult to go through their customer reps and to remove it from bill.

The install was easy. Love the mobile app. My only complaint: Due to user error, the alarm has gone off twice. The first time it took almost 5 minutes for the alarm company to call me. The second time was faster but still a couple of minutes. Not worth taking off a star but I would like the response to be faster, within a minute.

I've been a customer with Vector Security for about 7 years or more and I have been very happy with my service up until this past year where my system is continuously not been working properly. I recently renovated my home and want to automate my home for example like my thermostats, outside cameras, remote lights, etc. because my contract is not at an end for another year-and-a-half. I am not able to do any of this unless I pay out of pocket for each device, which leaves me out of pocket for several thousands of dollars at this point.
I guess being a loyal customer for so many years actually counts for nothing, also I was more than willing to extend my contract for however many years they needed me to. I will be leaving your company and I will surely pass on how I was treated to all my neighbors and Friends and that I will be going forward with CPI. Have a good day and thanks for 0 customer service. I would like to say that the last customer service rep I spoke with Miss ** was very nice and very helpful to the most of her ability.

We have been Vector customers since 1992. We tried to upgrade the system and was subjected to rude, condescending and totally unprofessional treatment by the sales manager Chris ** (may not be correct spelling). He continued to give us incorrect information until we out reached to the corporate office. Based on this horrible experience and the amount of time, back and forth emails and aggravation to upgrade our system we could never recommend Vector.

We have been subscribers to Vector Security for several years and recently have had numerous issues with the system. We were finally told they could not repair the system, but would have to upgrade at an increased monthly cost and a 3-year contract. Our only other option was to continue to pay for an unusable system for another year, as they renewed our yearly contract in July with no notification to us. I certainly do not intend to sign up for a 3-year contract with a company who can't/won't take care of its customers.

Vector Security showed up to do a five day job got it done in four. Replace my old Alarm System and walked me through all the various options of the new system compared to the old system hardwired the new camera system. Had no exposed wires on the outside of the house.

I have been a loyal Vector customer for years. I called to ask about moving my service to a new address. I was transferred, hung up, on left on hold. I was finally told someone would call me back. The person was rude and didn't even know who she was talking to or anything about my acct. She told me that the only way it wouldn't cost me out of pocket was if I signed a 5 year contract and paid 10-15$ more a month for the same service. She told me that you guys did me a favor by lowering my rate when I renewed my contract. I was extremely pissed at her attitude and told her when I was ready I would cancel my service. That she was not doing me any favors!
I received a call today requesting to talk about the move. I called and spoke to Leeann who made no attempt to discuss service what my needs were and told me she would discuss it with a supervisor and would call me back. Within minutes I received an email stating that an offer was made and the acct was closed out and there was nothing more they were going to do. I called back and again for Leeann and told her how angry I was at her response. She put her alleged supervisor on the phone who said an offer was made. When I asked her what the offer was she had no idea of what was discussed and what offers were made! This is ridiculous. I will never again do business with your company!

Have cancer, system has been down since JUNE with no call back for someone to replace battery. Needed system to work, needed emergency medical help but necklace failed, almost died with fever 104.8 from infection that went septic. My service technician was James ** and he provided prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and above all outstanding service! James was patient and answered all of my questions thoroughly. He went the extra mile by programming my digital front door lock to be recognized by my security system. This is by far the WORST security company that I have ever experienced. We have had nothing but issues since we had it installed. The service reps are horrible and we have had them in our home for the same issues for the last three years. They NEVER keep their word. I have filed numerous complaints with them only to be told that we are stuck with the system and there is no way out of the contract. Clint even told us that as long as there is an issue, they will keep coming back to fix it regardless of it being the same issue.
We have had over a dozen appointments and nothing is ever fixed the first time around. The agent that sold us the system (Adie) told us that there was a military clause and we found out that this was a lie as well. So we are stuck with a non-functional system for two more years. We have already begun to warn the new arrivals to the neighborhood. After all of the issues, Clint told us that his manager said the best they could do was to offer us $280 credit to our account! Unbelievable. I hate this company.

First, let me tell you that the Jacksonville technical service is GREAT! I also want to commend Joslyn for her genuine concern on an issue that I believe that Vector should have gone the "extra mile". The issue is that ALL monitored alarms in Jacksonville, under a new law to reduce false alarms, went into effect in June. I was notified of this change by a (not my) city councilman. I checked with other Vector customers, including the one that recommended Vector to us, and they had not heard about the change.
Tomorrow, September 1 is the deadline to register our alarm, so there is no lapse of JSO response. I realize that Vector is not required to notify their customers, Vector could give premium service and increased sales by notifying your customer. I get the weekly Vector E Mails on safety and security tips which are much appreciated in the event of an unknown issue that MIGHT come up, but notification of a FOR CERTAIN alarm issue should be addressed too. I hope Vector is not getting so big, that the local issues that affect customer's service are not neglected. Again I commend Joslyn for her genuinely concerned attitude.

The previous company took 45 minutes to get someone here for a burglar on our porch. After that event, I decided to cancel them. I am very unhappy with Vector's service and sales. I have been a customer for approximately 18 years. I had trouble with my battery in my panel so I called for service. The technician came out and established I needed a new panel (I figured that out already). I was charged $90 and told I had to be turned over to sales because they don't make my panel any more. John from sales called me and was obnoxious. I told him I had an appointment with another alarm company. Since Vector was going to charge me I was exploring my options.
John was very cocky and I no longer wanted to speak to him. I received a call from a different sales person. I told him I was not happy with the treatment I was getting. He said he would get a manager involved. The next day I got a text telling me for close to $200 they could give me a new panel and smoke detectors. ADT was going to do that and give me key fobs for half that price. I still haven't heard back from Vector. I guess they don't care about my business or the people that I've referred to them. I won’t' do that any longer.

I called this morning with a low battery on my main panel and I expressed to Mike that I was leaving tomorrow for a few days and it was important that I get it repaired before I left. All of our pawn shops use Vector service. This location originally had AT&T. We had a break in and they didn't send anyone out to fix the system for 3 weeks. When they finally came out they didn't have the parts to fix it. We called Vector and you were out the same day and had us back up and running. With this type of business we can't afford to go without a security system. Vector provides the type of service we need.

Upgrade - All went well. Nick took his time to explain what we were doing and was patient with working with getting things set on the computer and phone. Getting this set up took a while, but everything has worked out.

I really like this company for my security needs. Had my system installed ten years ago and also do monitoring thru Vector. Every time I need service they are always on the ball, even just to get my smoke detector batteries changed.

I just want to say what a great company. They have met my every need plus more. The guy that is here now fixed my system with no problems and he interested me in getting cameras. Once I talk it over with my wife we will definitely give him a call to install cameras.

John is a very good technician. He knows what he is doing. I told John I was going on vacation and I have a dog sitter that will be taking care of dogs, but I was worried because I wouldn't know if the dog sitter would be coming in every day. That's when John told me about the interactive part of them alarm.com. So he set me up right there and then.

Michelle did a great job of explaining everything. If she didn't know she quickly found out the answer. I have had several questions and concerns and Michelle made sure my questions were answered. The only issues I had was with the installation. He wasn't very professional. He was late and used foul language.

Chose Vector since we already use their swipe cards svcs in our Bldg currently. Easier to deal with one security company. Quote was most reasonable out of all quotes received for installations required. John was professional and explained everything he was doing. He cleaned up after himself. He went the extra mile and muffled the buzzer by the receptionist desk, and we greatly appreciated this.

Very satisfied with the service tech James **. He called when he was on the way to my home like I requested. He went to work after he explained what he was going to do. He actually helped me take my laundry upstairs. Based on Mr ** performance I would highly recommend Vector Security. James highly deserves to be compensated for going above and beyond. He also checked other sensors were mounted securely.

We purchased Vector from a salesman that came to our house. He was very friendly and gave us good options. All of the Vector reps that we've spoken to have been wonderful. Our service today was perfect. The rep fixed all of our troubles and found additional troubles we didn't know about. He was professional and gave great service. We highly recommend Vector. We needed to have someone come out and take a look at a lock that became loose on us as well as a couple of lights that were not working properly. The service technician arrived on time and was very polite and knowledgeable. He quickly fixed the lock and determined the problem with the lights that were not working properly. Follow-up visit was scheduled immediately for the lights. We were very satisfied with the overall service from Vector. The only reason we would not give 5 stars for installation is because they were not able to install the lights because equipment was not on the truck.

My system was moved from one address to another and after multiple attempts to get the address on file changed I finally gave up. Today I had the fire dept banging on my door for a "fire" on the 2nd Floor when I have no fire detectors installed with the Vector system at the new location. Although all of the customer service reps have been very understanding and polite I am asking for my contract to be cancelled. For several months now I have paid Vector for service they were not providing and should no longer be obligated to a contract that Vector is obviously not obligated to. Had I not been home today the Fire Dept. would have undoubtedly broke my door or window to gain entry and investigate a "fire" that was most likely generated by an alarm at another address.
I have been told this is fixed AGAIN but I no longer have any faith in Vector service and having it in my home now has me more concerned when the point is to alleviate concerns. I have unplugged it asked to be put on hold from monitoring and am pleading with Vector to just cancel this contract which over the last several months has not been honored by Vector to the best or any of their ability.
Please let me know what needs to be done to end this fairly and cancel the contract. I would like to do this amicably rather than having to start multiple reports with Consumer Affairs or BBB on the way Vector is handling contracts and how poorly they did providing me any level of safety and security. I have spent all day on the phone passed from rep to rep. Literally spoke to more than 5 people and have had NO satisfaction other than "it's fixed now". I do not trust that it is fixed and I fear even leaving my home in case an alarm at the other location goes off and emergency services are dispatched to my house while I am not home which will end in destruction of my property for no reason. PLEASE HELP!!!

I have been trying to call for 2 days local customer care number - 800-688-0150 - and only thing I get is a recording to please wait for the next available customer care. I have been waiting on the phone for 30 min. each time. I finally decided to send online request for service. I am very disappointed with the service.

Old system had obsolete parts that needed replaced. Rick ** thoroughly benefit of upgrading and the reason to have the service plan. The installer was punctual, polite, capable and efficient. Patiently explained the new system and its functions. I will recommend Rick and Greg not to anyone who might need a security system.

Clean and neat and cleaned up after was done. Had to delete 2 key fobs and add 2 key fobs to the system. Checked the system performance and made sure it performed as it should. Explained the key fob use.

I initially had American Alert installed 10 years ago. Vector took over American Alert several years ago. Over the years, I have experienced great service from Vector. I researched security systems after our house was burglarized and Vector's online rating were very high. My MIL also had Vector security for many yrs and never had a problem. The rep was awesome and made time for us immediately as well and making time for the install within a couple of days. So far we have been very happy with our results. We are adding sensors in our kitchen as we both (rep and us) forgot to order them. I would and have recommended Vector to friends and family.

Jimmy with Vector was great but everyone else was not. No one knew what was going on. Trying to get someone out to our home for installation took forever and multiple attempts. We were very unsatisfied with this process, what should have been seamless was miserable. If our HOA didn't use Vector for security we would definitely not use this company simply because of the difficulty with finding people that know what they are doing/job.
