    This alarm was here when we move in and has been working fine just getting age on her and it's showing the window sensors are yellow from the years of sun beating down on them. All working just needs to swap them out when the sun completely destroys them as needed. Until then we just keep the batteries changed and alarm system keeps on trucking.

    We had another company at first that had promised great service and as well a great product but it turned out not the be the case. Soon after the alarm was put in the problems began. The alarm did have a lot of bells and whistles and was just too confusing. When problems with cellular connection dropped the alarm became problematic and after a couple of weeks it had to go. Saw Vector people at a house down the road and got you to put in a better alarm the following month where this one fit in. Vector is easy to use and simple. It's been in for over three years and only needed sensor batteries replaced.

    Vector Security took over Security Associates which is who I had for 20 years. The telephone customer service experience was not good but the actual tech was excellent. He took the time to test everything, we figured out which zone tripped and why it tripped, and he recommended to go wireless. He changed the battery, explained everything in detail. He said he would contact a sales rep to contact me for a wireless system, gave me his honest opinion. I knew the system was old and probably needed an upgrade and now I know what to ask for.

    The phone calls, several of them, to customer service last Saturday were not good. I was transferred a bunch of times, got a voicemail. No one was willing to help me. I was ready to cancel the service and go with another company then. But I filled out a service request online and someone contacted me on Monday to schedule it. She wasn't very good at all either and I half expected the tech to not show up because I had nothing in writing saying he was going to and she had trouble doing her job. But the tech showed up, he called my cell phone first to say he was on his way. He helped me with everything, he explained everything, he tested everything, he suggested a wireless system. I will probably stay with Vector Security because of THE TECH.

    First two years of contract was fine. System started posting errors. After three attempts to correct in 90 days. I gave up and tried to cancel acct. Retention department made offer to correct. While waiting for the required new paperwork Vector continued to bill at current rate knowing the installed system was not functioning. The system has been powered down (per Vector). This has been ongoing since July 2017. I've continues to pay but received no service or credits and they won't cancel the acct.

    I called customer service on January 5, because I was locked out of my house, as I always walk my puppy before turning in for the night and usually close my door by the keypad, and upon my return I was unable to enter my house using my passcode or the key to enter, however, I never walk without my cell phone and was able to call Vector Security for help. My first encounter was they were unable to locate my account in the system, after several minutes a supervisor was able to locate my account and I was told I would get a call back from service department which I did.

    He asked if I had change the battery. I said no as the keypad was only a few months old, also I was not aware it needed batteries, and inquired as to where will I find them, he gave me instruction and after a few minutes of looking and could not locate the batteries, I called back and said it was not the batteries and I needed someone to come and let me in my house. I was told he had to place a work order and someone would contact me in the morning. I realized it was Friday night and most people was home looking forward to the weekend so I walk to my friend house and stayed the night. However, on Saturday morning I was told the truth, that Vector Security had no Emergency Service for Greensboro on weekend and I was informed no one was available until the following Thursday, I found that to be unbelievable and I hung up to digest what I had heard, I'm to stay out of my house for the next six days.

    I called back and inquired again about service and was told the earliest someone could get to me was Thursday, January 11, and if I needed a locksmith it would be at my expense, I reminded her I was paying Vector Security $53.95 a month and now I was to pay additional for service because this company sell security to an area they do not cover with emergency services.

    I told her this void any contract I have with Vector Security if I had to pay my own emergency services, then I will be keeping my $53.95 monthly payment to cover Emergency service. However, I decided to recheck again to recheck this information with someone in management and spoke to a very arrogant female and presented to her what was told to me, I told her I had the lock remove from my door as I did not want to be locked in my home in case of a fire, she said there must be another way out, I said yes through the kitchen to the garage, but what if the fire was in the kitchen, she said you'll find a way, you could always jump out the window. I told her I'm 74 years old and I will not be paying no company $53.95 a month with that kind of a solution and as far as I'm concern the contract is over and they need to pick up their equipment.

    We had a service call to fix the new security system as it was constantly throwing an error because a Verizon chip was used even though ample warning was provided that ATT is the only service that works where we live. After the security system was installed our phone line stopped working. Tech said they didn't touch it so we had to have Verizon out and waited for them the next day. Verizon showed us where the phone line was cut in the house and then we were charged $120.00 because it was not Verizon who cut the line.
