Complete install, set up system, was very happy with everything. Had a lot of questions. Roger was very good answering them. Overall everything has be excellent. Vector is a great company. We have always gotten great service. Everyone I speak to is friendly and just overall pleased with everything.

I’ve been with Vector for 14 years. I was recommended by friends and have been happy with the quality of the parts and the service. I love the cellular backup. The pricing has stayed very steady over the years. I love that when I call I get a local person.

Cameras and video were installed today with good expertise and professional. It was good to have a new recording system which allows us to view or/recent activity which might be suspicious especially around timings when we are not home.

My service technician today was very polite and arrived on time and confirmed his appointment by calling when he was on his way. As he worked he explained what he was doing and why things needed replaced. Michael was very knowledgeable and knows his products well. Thank you Vector Security.

Great service provided by Meji **. The tech called before arriving. He was able to thoroughly inspect my system and determine the issue that kept arising. Meji was very nice and polite and took his time evaluating everything. I would recommend this service to anyone.

Vector came with our development, but I have zero complaints. The service was great, and the people were fantastic to deal with. I canceled the service due to a move, but I recommended the new owner continue with Vector.

Vector gave my a new alarm system with a new keypad and no more phone line. Anthony was very good and I am happy with Vector. I am coming back. I used to be with Argus. I have given Chad two referrals for the credit toward my account.

I had called a few times about having my windows replaced and needing to have the contacts remounted and each time you guys have helped me with info I needed. Technician came out and remounted the contacts and double checked everything else was ok. Very Much Appreciated.

The home we recently moved into already had a Vector alarm there and there was a recent domestic situation that happened prompted the call to Vector to come out and reactivate the existing alarm equipment. The tech was on time and very friendly and was very patient. Happy with the alarm.

We have used Vector Security for several years but wanted to add new cameras to the system. Chris ** was very responsive in the sales department and install today was excellent. Current Customer. Very satisfied with the customer service and technician. I am getting the cameras as I work from home. I have expensive equipment at home. This equipment belongs to my company. I also have security cameras as I sometimes have people stopping by my house to take care of my pets.

Consistent service. 24 hour monitoring. A lot of awesome technicians at the monitoring center and installers. We've had the service for over ten years and have had zero problems. Most things are covered under our service plan. We found no reason to change. I don't expect to in the future.

Management will not respond to inquiry from customer. Service is excellent but Management is non responsive. I suggest that Management in Richmond go on Service calls. I feel that Management I has a "I don't care" attitude. Remember Customers do judge the management.

Vector was already in use at our new house. Jeff, the technician, was excellent. He not only made sure that our system was in top form but made sure that we understood all the features of the system and informed of of other resources we could use to learn more about it. This is our first new home and we are glad to have a system such as this. Also, from Jeff and everyone I have spoken to at Vector, I am very happy. All genuinely wanted to help me get this taken care of. Extremely professional, thank you.

We are changing homeowner's insurance carriers and the new carrier requires an installation certificate from the company that monitors our security system. We had never heard of this but I called Jackie and she knew exactly what I needed and she sent it to me within 24 hours. She's a star!

I've had Vector Security for over five years. I've lived in my home for over 30 years. I live by myself and I need the alarm because I live by myself and I have the fire alarm for my pets. It was recommended.

Highly recommended Vector Security by family member. Prompt response time and thorough evaluation of site in order to best meet our needs in a cost effective manner. Service tech was friendly, thorough, and patiently explained the system to me. Neatly executed the installation and was sensitive to placement of glass breaks so that they were least obtrusive. All round positive experience.

The Vector alarm was already installed and working fine when home was purchased from the previous owner. The alarm operation is quite simple and easy to operate. Works as it should only had minor issue with a battery for smoke detector. Other than that all has been great.

I lived in my home 18 years. I'm not sure which company was here first. After eating crabs one night someone through big rocks through my windows and the alarm did not go off. We upgraded the system with Vector. I've always like having the alarm as I live here by myself.

Wanted to thank you to Jackie ** for a quick turnaround in sending an alarm certificate to me through a request of a mutual customer. State Farm requires the updated certificate to keep our discount alive and she responded to the request and stayed true to her word and sent it as promised and when promised. I wanted to move service and requested a copy of my contract to ensure that I was only fulfilling the term of my contract, not signing up for another half decade. Customer service refused to cooperate. I needed service at the new address so I finally went with another company. Even upgraded my service! Vector effectively denied me service for almost a year now and refused to provide me with the information I needed to send notice to end my contract. I finally received that today without the game of “you have to talk to someone in our retention dept”. Who calls back days later while I am at work. Totally dishonest company!

We originally had Vector when our house was built. We also have family in Cleveland that have your service. We've been really happy with the service provided by the technicians. The only problem we've had has been customer care not understanding our troubles. Leaving us without service for periods of time.

Vector is the contracted security company. Your service person is exceptional, but I am frustrated at the number of service calls that we have had to schedule for repeated issues with batteries and sensors over the 3 life of the system.

We are current customers and had a recent break in. Upon review, the tech Oral ** was very thorough in advising us in our building of what we could add additionally. We choose only the two motion detectors when he told us the ones we had were only 30 foot sensors. Our tech today was polite, professional, quick and all with a smile.

I had the pleasure of working with Jeff on April 25th and 26th of 2018. He worked at my home to upgrade our current and outdated system. Not only did he deal with my three crazy dogs, he was extremely friendly, helpful and did not leave until I understood every aspect of my new system. He helped me download the app to my phone and patiently sat with me while I practiced every new option available. Our home has been protected since 1990 by Vector. They have, over the years, always responded immediately whether it was our alarm going off or a service call needed. I would recommend Vector Security to anyone looking to add security system to their home.

We had a basic set-up from another company who was bought out after we moved in, so we were pleased with Vector and remained. My husband compared prices and service and we still remained with Vector. Your technician, Peter, has been very, very helpful both in explaining, teaching me to use the new equipment, making the whole experience very calm and positive. Even my dachshund has "adopted" Peter as a friend. I wish all technicians for all my services were as positive, helpful, informative, and supportive for making the installation very smooth, all the way to cleaning up and making my home safer.

Todd came out to show me how to operate the Vector system. In process he showed me the camera system. I think bought it was a good thing to put in our house. My brother put same system in and he liked it. Two installers came in today and did a very professional job. They made sure system was up and running and it worked fine. Thanks!

The prompt response to my customer service request in acquiring my security monitoring certificate for proof of coverage. I needed this form for my homeowners insurance policy. After a roof leak one of the smoke detectors was malfunctioning and the staff at Vector was prompt in offering advice and service--additionally they were very patient in answering all of my questions about expanding coverage with cameras and other updates.

Originally chose this company because of a referral from a friend. Salesperson person said free installation for security system and cameras and $80 a month for service and said only out of pocket charge would be $120. I am using this service more for an overwatch system for my disabled daughter rather than a security system. Once contract was signed we were told charges would be $455 for the cameras and then $27 a month for a service plan on those cameras that we cannot cancel.
Do yourself a favor and go buy a security camera system from a place like Amazon and stream it yourself rather than paying this company over $1400 for a camera system for 3 years. When trying to resolve this problem a sales manager says, "Too bad you signed the contract." And will not give his phone number to me or return my calls. After my contract ends I will never do business with this company again and will spread the word through friends and social media.

I signed up with Action Alarms, which is an Authorized dealer for Vector Security. I had a break-in and I called them to add security. The alarm system has been good since then, and I have not had any problems. The service has been good and if I had a problem, it was resolved promptly by the service department. I would recommend Vector to other people in the area if they would ask.

We currently have Vector Home Security Service. This call was to install wireless alarm system for the home. In addition, tech looked at existing intercom system that vector home security had installed in my home in 2004. Unfortunately, system could not be fixed and there is no current service plan for intercom. I will contact vector sales to see about price for a new intercom system.

I had been thinking about getting a Security system for awhile and then several houses in my neighborhood were broken into. Michelle, who is my sales rep, contacted me immediately to see if she could help. We have known each other for a long time and she had just sold a system to neighbors of mine. Spoke with Michelle on the phone to get a system for my home. She had the appointment and installation set up immediately and has always answered any calls when I have questions. The gentleman that was sent to my house was very focused on finding out what was going on with my camera system. After he discovered the issue, he went on to completely go over my alarm system and discovered that there was a issue that needed addressed. I believe that we will be with Vector for many years to come.

After many years of service with Guardian Force, the change of ownership has definitely not affected the quality of work and attention given by your technicians. Today's service was excellent. The tech was on time, responsive and very pleasant. He understood the problem and moved to resolve it quickly. I'm extremely pleased to have this ongoing issue finally taken care of. To his credit, he attempted to resolve the matter prior to equipment removal, but due to previous experience with this issue, I was unwilling to accept an alternative. Mr. ** was understanding and respectful.

Terry ** contacted me to do a system inspection. I was given a 4 hour window and was contacted when Terry was 40 min from arriving. He arrived promptly and proceeded to inspect my system. We went over the basic operation of system and he gave me some shortcuts to use to make things easier. I was concerned about my elderly mom moving in and this info was very helpful. Vector seems to have a very well organized system to take care of their customers efficiently.

We switched from ADT to Vector years ago, and the only problem has been the alarm going off a few times for no apparent reason, and a smoke alarm being reported as a abc door open. The tech today was very friendly and helpful, and explained the causes behind those problems.

The system was in my mom's house and I took over the residence. I have received good customer service and the upgrade was a recommendation which I was glad to get. The installation was a quick process and I learned where some things are on the system. Rigel came and explained everything and showed how the key fob works and I am very comfortable with the system and would recommend it to others. He was very personable, polite and arrived within the window of time. We have had problems off & on since we started this service in 2014. This week they were out here & supposedly fixed all problems that needed it. Several of the problems are still not fixed. They are overcharging. I feel for the lack of service you get. You have to wait 15-20 minutes to speak to someone. If you leave a message, they will not return a call most of the time. They have a home office in Virginia but have an office here in Greenville where we live where techs are sent out.
When the tech was here on Wednesday, he was on the phone with technicians in VA most of time he was here. We had to listen to alarms the whole 3 hours he was here & the problems are still not fixed. This tech from the local office here stated that some of the problems that are happening now are from the home office in VA. There is a big turnover in this local office here & in their home office. This makes me very uncomfortable since the techs are given our security codes obviously since they seem to know them when they come here.
I spoke with, Quintin **, in who is supervisor of customer service in their home office yesterday about this & the problems. He stated he would contact the local office about this. He was suppose to get back with me today but has not made contact at this time. I have been told they check the system every month to make sure everything is working. It is pretty obvious that they do not. I have spoken to supervisors in this home office before about the fact that I have set the alarm off and nobody responded. I have tried to call & got no response. This is not security. We have come back from a vacation before & found the alarm not working properly. This is not security!!
Updated on 04/24/2018: I tried talking with Quintin today. Left message on his voicemail & he did not respond. Was passed around from one person to another & one person finally went into his office & got him to answer phone. He basically gave me the impression I was bothering him although he was the person I was referred to when I started the complaint. I tried to find out who was in charge of the company when I was on the phone with him & the others that I had been transferred back & forth to but all were reluctant to do that. He did tell me the CEO of the company was in Chicago but said he did not have the phone #. I told him I was sorry I was bothering him & hung up the phone. If you notice all the positive reviews are from people in Pennsylvania, Ohio, & Virginia where their offices are.
Updated on 04/25/2018: I received a call from Quintin ** yesterday after he found out I had tried to call their corporate office to speak with their CEO. He claimed he did not know I had called the corporate office. He was nicer than the previous day which makes me think he knew. He has refused to cancel the contract. He was still argumentative with me. This morning, I received a call from Jeffrey ** who is supposedly in charge of making sure that repairs are done so their contracts are kept ongoing. He was nice until I started telling him about all the problems we have had with them. He was very argumentative. He refused to cancel the contract that I had gotten from them to finally lower the cost of the service.
We have been charged $47.99 for our service since 2014 when they are advertising a price of 39.95 monthly for their services now. I was told I had to sign the contract if I wanted the fee to be reduced. They offered to add sensors to windows if I did this. There was only 2 windows with sensors. The contract states it is not binding until it is signed by a manager. I have been told by Jeffrey ** that he will send the contract signed by a manager and I told him I would allow them to come back out here to fix problems. There are countless other people on their website with complaints similar to mine beginning in 2018 but they are getting away with it. I will be stuck with them for another 3 years or have to pay a fee to get out of this. As well as others that have gotten involved with them. Why are they allowed to get by with this?
Updated on 05/02/2018: We still have problems with this system. Quintin ** finally called me back yesterday after I called him. He is suppose to be working on this & call me back. They took money from our bank account even though they were told not to. No response back.
Updated on 06/13/2018: We are still having problems with equipment since April 2018. Vector sent a letter canceling the account. The only response we have gotten from them is a letter stating they want $1609 to cancel the contract. Do not believe the latest reviews you can see on their webpage for 2018. The people you see giving a great review are in the area where their home office is. I left a message on CEO's assistant's voicemail and she never returned my call.
I got a call from Quentin ** a few minutes ago stating he was returning a call. It was a month ago that I had called him & I asked him why he was just now calling back. He stated he had just got the message when I asked why he stated he was going to find out. I told him this was not good business & he agreed. Do not get involved with this company. We do not want anyone else to go through the mess we have gone through with them.
Updated on 07/16/2018: I finally got a call from Vector this morning. First time they made contact since I last spoke with Quinton ** on June 13 2018. Had gotten a call from a person named Marjorie today. Of course Quinton ** never could call back as I thought he was. When I called for this Margie, another person answered the phone & stated Margie was on another line. The person that calls is never available when you try to call them back. The person that was on the line was very argumentative & uncaring. Stated they were going to turn it over for collection that I had not done what was promised.
When I tried to tell her that Vector had not done their job, she kept arguing. Told her we could not use the code system on the door to get into the house nor the system. She did not want to hear any of that, just kept arguing with me. Vector put on this web page that they would work on resolving this last time I wrote a review. They have not done anything except to point out my faults. Please listen and do not get involved with this company. They can obviously treat people as they please & get by with it.

Your technician was very diligent about finding out what the problem was with my camera system. We were having an issue with 1 camera picture coming and going and no audio on another camera. He fixed the picture on one and discovered that one of our microphones was not working. We have had a good relationship with your company since the initial install. Don came out to replace one of the sensors that we had been experiencing a battery drain. He was able to assess the issue and update the system with the new sensor - taking the time to make sure everything was working perfectly and then did the carbon monoxide detector check. Great job!

Torrence arrived during the agreed upon time. While here, he explained the new items available from Vector. Torrence also gave my wife and I a demo of the new system. Torrence was not aware of any prices and referred us to a salesman. He was very courteous and respectful. It wasn't wrong, you were using the previous owner's code inspite of being repeatedly told the new code. I called and spoke with Renee ** who was very helpful. Had problems with the alarm going off because of sensors malfunctioning. This has happen several times now. The system was less than a year old. Tim had the request to have all the sensors replace, which we were glad to hear. This is the first time having a security system, hopefully this will fix the problems. Vector was chosen by our property management company and we were not on site at the time of install. However the technician Jeremy ** left me a detailed hand written note with instructions on how to set up the alarm and add additional codes. That was super helpful. Moving was stressful enough and to not have to worry about figuring out how to set up the alarm or have to call and wait for someone to come out, those notes were great! I really appreciate that he took the time to help us out with that!

Terry called before he came, something I always appreciate. He replaced two batteries at my request although I had initially asked for just one replacement. He also corrected the time in my monitor as I did not even try to do that after an error had occurred a number of months back. Terry also replaced the Security Associates alert signs with Vector signs.

We have been Vector customers for 10 years. I asked about a system upgrade and John came out to see us. We discussed a new system with all of the added features I wanted. Derek arrived to do the installation, explained everything to me, and got to work. He spent extra time with me adding a door lock and took special care when running wires through the house.

Having the system upgraded with new sensors was a breeze thanks to the technician's knowledge of systems. With the amount of items installed the technician was at house 5 minutes early for the appointment and finished within a few hours. Cleaned up so nothing was left. Vector has been my home security system for 15 years. I've been totally satisfied with the service. Whenever there is an alarm in my home I receive a call promptly. I've never had a problem with any of the equipment installed in my home. From door sensors to motion sensors to keypad sensors. The technician was pleasant and very helpful. He explained my options to me in a way that was easy for me to understand. I was not aware Vector had become our new alarm provider and quite honestly was thinking about switching companies. However based on the service Torrance provided I have decided to remain? Torrance even made paying the service fee palatable. Vector you need more techs of his caliber.

Vector was the builder recommendation for a new-build townhome. My history was with Brinks/ADT in Fairfax, VA for 20+ years. We wanted to add electronic door locks to two doors and upgrade our alarm panel. Agata was very helpful and sent the alarm certificate on the day we requested it. It was sent via email as we requested. The installer who connected our alarm was on time and very competent. Had significant issues setting up the service call originally. Got help with beeping via two different remote calls. At least one service call was missed entirely... Call to say they were going to be late. Came after the 12-4 appointment time. All that said, I gave 5 stars b/c Danielle in the office and Nick who came out to fix the problem were both very helpful and kind. Danielle followed up repeatedly to be sure the problem got fixed and Nick called to ask if he could come early so I did not have to wait around all day. I appreciate the effort made to fix the earlier troubles.

We had ADT for 5 or 6 years, the service was ok until we had issues at our church. We decided to change our home system away from adt, we called Vector Security. Our sales rep was informative and scheduled us for installation as soon as our contract ran out. The installation was smooth, and efficient. Vector took over my old company but I love the new wireless system that I can control with my phone and the webcam to watch the house and that it moves around. The serviceman today was great! He was prompt, very courteous, knowledgeable and quickly attended to my issues and resolved them right away! Very pleased overall.

I have always had Vector. This was a time emergency and I needed help quickly (Low batteries were triggering the system). I got immediate phone service and a technician was here within an hour. Thrilled with the service and help. The fact that I could talk through the problem on the phone and then have someone arrive so quickly was a real help. Made my day.

We have been happy customers since 1995, so when we needed a security system for our rental house we didn’t even shop around. Nick has been helpful over the years when we ever had problems with our system... and everyone in the office (Jennifer, Glenda, Jerry) have been very helpful in answering all my questions, etc.

I've been with Vector for at least 30 years. I have several systems in several locations. Both hardwired & wireless. When I request service the techs are always prompt, and fix the problem or accomplish the maintenance or upgrade in a very timely manner.

Chuck is the greatest technician. Very patient, careful, informative. Vector Security has a great reputation. Our prior system was an old Westec system that we inherited when we purchased the home in 2012. Was monitored by Vector, we felt very comfortable ordering our new system from Vector.

Vector Security came highly recommended by a friend and business associate. It was the best recommendation! From Jeff who came out to look at our property and make suggestions, nothing over the top just what you need. To Anthony our installer, he was friendly, courteous, very knowledgeable and extremely patient in teaching us how to use the system. You can tell that Vector cares about the homeowner right from the start. From our safety to our pets! We have a dog just 4 months out of major back surgery and he wanted to be sure not to startle him while he worked. That takes a special person and shows the kind of people that work for Vector.

Casey was very helpful, he moved the camera to exactly where we wanted it after the first tech just placed wherever he thought was good. Was very understanding of our problems we had with the first guy and fixed them with a smile on his face.
