I chose a security system because I have an expensive house and I just want to deter any potential criminals. In addition, it's peace of mind for me for fire. I rate 4 stars because you are very responsive but when I first moved in the guy who set it up just turned on the system and he didn't do an assessment. The smoke alarm went off constantly so we had to unplug it. Very frustrating because you kept calling because it was going off all the time. Steve came in to fix the system and actually did an assessment and suggested to add another smoke alarm which I agreed with. He was very helpful.

I have almost everything Vector in my house and I am very happy with them all. I have the security system, lamp modules, door locks, garage door openers. They work well and give me a sense of security and freedom. I don’t live in a high crime area but things can happen and I like knowing that I can monitor my home even when I go out of the country. I am especially pleased with the service. I have a service plan and am glad I can get serviced when needed which fortunately is not very often. I am thoroughly happy with Vector!

Excellent service and performance. Timely response. I would recommend Vector to anyone considering the purchase of a security system. The ease of getting an appointment and the technical expert of the technician was impressive. I would use Vector as my security agent again which says a lot.

The security system that we have been using stopped working. We needed a new one so we contacted Vector for a reinstallation. Once the technician came out it was an easy process and he was a nice guy. We are happy with the new system.

Leslie ** was awesome!! I got very frustrated with canceling an account and she helped me figure out how to transfer the remaining contract to mine. She kept her cool when I did not. I have been with Vector Security for quite a while and over the past year or 2 the customer service leaves much to be desired. Your agents do not care and offer very little to no help in resolving issues. I was out of service from the 8th until now and am still out of service as it cannot be completed today and even if it was I was not satisfied with the terms. I am looking into another company who offers more for less. I plan on writing a more detailed letter to the president of your company in Pa. Ms Pam Petrow outlining how your company needs to improve to meet customer needs.

Congregation Har Tzeon has used Vector Security for many years. My son had the alarm installed while I was at work. Came home it was in and working. Been working for years until the company changed hands and then the old alarm was updated with a newer type system but it still work like the other did.

The rep from Vector, called 30 mins prior to coming out. He was polite and patient. He was able to resolve my issue. He informed and showed me how to replace my batteries. He tested the system before leaving to ensure it was properly working. I was happy with my experience with Vector.

It started when I met Jeff my sales man. He was excellent all interactions with him were awesome. Also did some online research about Vector and was very happy with my findings. The install with rich was also just as pleasant. He was prompt courteous efficient and knowledgeable.

I called in to the Jacksonville, Florida office to speak with the Billing department regarding the termination of security services at one of 3 locations, due to a transfer of service. I was connected with Latasha **. Latasha ** was very professional, kind and courteous. She listened closely to be sure that she knew what I needed and then assured me that I would be taken care of. She knew what was needed and made sure that billing was stopped as well.

My husband and I’s house was broken into so we began the search right away for a security system. After receiving a few quotes we looked into Vector. We ultimately decided to go with Vector since the installation was significantly cheaper and offered a lot of flexibility. We also knew we wanted a system that could be accessed through our phones when we were away. Installation was a breeze. Super fast and no issues.

I love your customer service! They always treat me so nice! I recently had a smoke alarm and gas detector installed. It was a little over $300. Customer Service was willing to let me split the payment! Made it so easy for me. Also the technician was super nice. Answered all my questions and explained everything.

We have been in this house almost 30 years and have had a number of security companies in the past. Vector put our system in when we went wireless. They have been thorough, patient, and professional. I would recommend them.

On 7/12/2018 Jason, from the Vector Security, Princeton Office, arrived promptly for a service call at our home. He was very polite and personable. He worked quickly and methodically but also took time to explain what he was doing. It was obvious that he is passionate about his job, proud of his work and a devoted employee. The alarm was already here when we moved it. Seem like every few years a new company replaces the previous one and the keyboard gets updated. The alarm work like it ought to until the fire sensor in the hallway start keeping fuss. Other than that we been good.

Sensor not functioning properly - Went fine, tech was very pleasant and replaced the problem sensor. Performed a system check and all was fine. He arrived in a timely manner and had to work around the interior work that I had working.

We installed a Vector Home Alarm system seven years ago and have been very satisfied with the service and home monitoring. The alarm key panel is very easy to use and luckily we have not had too many "false alarms" with it. Today's service was to repair a faulty sensor/wire that has been giving us trouble. Vector service people showed up on time, explained all the options for fixing, presented additional services that are available to us, and fixed the problem all within an hour. Job well done.

I placed a call to move and/or replace a smoke detector that kept going off. The sensor was determined to be defective. Also the battery to my panel was replaced as it was due. Service could not be better!

I am getting ready to move and contacted Vector about cancelling my service. I was transferred to Latasha. She informed me that I needed to fill out a form and she sent it to me a very timely manner and when I sent the form back she responded that the cancellation was complete. Latasha was very professional and very helpful in getting my service cancelled.

I chose Vector because the previous owner had been with Vector and I decided to stay with you. However, I was looking to lower my expenses and was told that since I now owned the equipment after 5 years, Marcie said I could drop the service agreement. I had a feeling that something would go wrong as soon as I did; but I needed to cut costs so I did.
As predicted I began getting a low battery signal and early morning calls saying a low battery signal is being detected. I cannot afford $50.00 for a replacement battery, and certainly can't afford an $83/per half hour service call. I've asked that the calls, if I have to get them, be placed after 10:00 a.m. and before 11:00 p.m. I received another call this morning and I just hung up, then I received another call 30 seconds later on my cell phone; in addition, my neighbor received a call early this morning. I feel like I'm being harassed at this point because I've asked that the calls stop twice now. It would make more sense to me if I have to pay $83 for a service call and $50 for a battery, I could pay $99 installation fee and get key fobs, window alarms for all my windows and no more wake up calls!

Technician swapped out my Doorbell and had to come back after getting the wifi worked on. He stayed with it and got the door bell and video camera working good, I am satisfied with the system now. I now have burglar, fire and video equipment all working.

Staff is professional and knowledgeable. I am happy with the service that Vector provides. Technician instructed me how to change control on the different panel as our house equipped with more than one partition. I live in Augusta Georgia, and I have been having problems with my system since I moved into my home. I tried to reach out to management out of Columbia South Carolina. They promised to give me a rebate on my system for two month and no results. When I call the phone they put me on hold and never can get through. My door ring system do not work and the camera system do not work properly. I am very disappointed. I would like for the president of the company to check into this matter Mrs. Pamela J. Petrow. I would like for her to see how many service request that I have made so she won't be lied to by Columbia South Carolina management.

My account was turned over to a collection agency. When I first got my service I was told by the salesman that I could carry service with me if I moved. So after 2 years of paying for service I did move. So I informed Vector that I was moving and was told that I would have to sign a NEW 3 year contract. So I argued about it and said I was lied to. Also, I was supposed to get 5 cameras from the salesman and never received them. My salesman lived in my neighborhood and almost behind me. He lied to me and I was very upset. I had contacted him at least 4 times about getting my cameras and he always kept putting me off with lame excuses. I want this resolved and do not want to deal with a collection agency. I was wanting to move my service back in 2017 and would have had no problems continuing to pay for my service for the year left on the account. I want a resolutions to this as soon as possible. 159 Heather Lane was the address of my service.

When I originally purchased this house 2010, my neighbor shared Vector with me. I purchased it and I was please how my system responded when someone tried to kick in my back door while I was not home. It deterred any entry, the police reported immediately and many neighbors who heard the system at work requested information for their elderly loved ones. I tried getting Vector in Tennessee but it is not offered. I am a very pleased returning customer and I look forward to moving forward with Vector on my team again.

We looked at a few companies on Angie's List and chose Vector. The rep, Mike **, was efficient and patient with us. We called Vector and had a ** Vector sign installed 2 years ago. Thanks. Salesman made me uncomfortable. He tried to scare me into buying the system. I felt safer before I talked to him. I wish I had never opened my door. I would never buy a system from this company. I still have hope that this world is good. I would appreciate a salesman who respects the decision of the homeowner even if the answer is no. I did not feel that respect today. I'm begging you, please don't make money off of scaring people into buying. Some people really can not afford a system, like myself. There has got to be another way. Thank you for listening.

The Vector system was in the home when we purchased it. The staff is very responsive and helpful. Our service tech was also very helpful and knowledgeable about our system. He changed all our batteries and discussed the warranty options with me.

I would just like to say that Mr Anthony was a pleasure to have in my home, to install my security system from my old house to my new apartment. I did not sleep well the night before, but after he installed the system in the apt. I felt safe and secure! He was so respectful of my home and cleaned up afterwards. It was like he was never there! He really knows what he is doing. Then, before he left, he heard my sister and I say that we were going to Home Depot to buy a new lock. Anthony told us that you all have a dead bolt that will lock the door from my app! I asked if he had one to install, but didn’t have the right one. He is very conscientious and Vector is lucky to have him working for them!

We are very happy with our security system. We have been with Vector for about 6 years now. The gentleman did tell us about the new system that is available, but it may be more technical than we are used to. The service technician that came out to work on our system was very nice!

The service technician today did a very good job. He cleaned all of my smoke detectors and gave me a tip to prevent false alarms again while we are renovating our home. Funny how a simple plastic bag could've saved my husband and I the embarrassment of the fire department and rescue squads responding to my home during renovation.

On July 4th our smoke detector signaled a low battery by giving us an annoying signal every 15 seconds. I called the service center and was told there was not a serviceman available till Thursday, July 5. I had out of town guest for the holiday and found this to be disruptive. Even though it was a holiday I decided call Frank ** who installed the system. He gave verbal instruction to replace the batteries and I was very thankful. He was very informative and considerate of our problem.

You sent us to collection. No call, no letter, just collection. We have had the same system for 10 years. Same card for payment. Then we find out we have NO service covering our house! Then we get a phone call from a salesman who says you have to send a technician to turn it back on after we sign a contract! You turned it off. Why can’t you just turn it back on. Your rating minus 10 stars! I would like to hear from the CEO of your company why this happened. We still don’t know why the payment wasn’t made. How about an answer?

Our maintenance man can't turn it off and you guys won't either. What is being monitored if an alarm can go off for 3 days and NO ONE respond to it, our complex has already had a building burn down all the way to the ground, paying for a service that is not monitored.

Since I can't seem to file a complaint I will do it on here. We have had this system since 2014. Every time we have had a problem I am the one that calls back. When we first got system Harold my husband called, had my name put on account, was not put on by the salesperson. Each time I have been the one to call. They even call my cell number if a alarm happens.
Today was very different. Monitoring dept took info, said will turn off tampering alarm til get batteries changed then sent me to tech dept. to turn off alarm because would not silence on panel. Ended up talking to Trudy. Said was manager only Trudy working for Vector. Continued to say I was not on the account now. Funny isn't it? I am the only one in four years that has called Vector, made appt., have tampering alarm silenced etc but not able to get alarm silence. Best one Trudy said was they are a alarm company, very important to customer to be careful who they talk to. Well dang. I just happen to have all info they need to verify who I am and yet after 4 years and already one phone call in the past to add my name, I am not on account. To Vector Security let me assure you that next year when our contract is up I WILL BE THE ONE TO DISCONNECT THIS ACCOUNT AND GET ONE FROM SOMEONE ELSE. THIS WAS THE LAST TIME I AM DEALING WITH VECTOR.

I was introduced to Vector from a current customer. My experience from beginning to end was nothing short of amazing, from my sales representative to my technician. Everyone was very respectful & polite. I don’t know how many times I thanked my technician during the installation for his knowledge and professionalism; it’s not often that you get such great service these days. We have been waiting for a month or more for a new doorbell camera because ours is not working properly. This is the 2nd camera that has broke in the 10 months we’ve been with Vector. We are patient and understanding that ordering new products takes time but we have been blown off more than once by multiple people saying they will come replace our camera with a new one. It’s unprofessional and rude that we never hear from anyone. They just never show up for the appointments they make to fix broken products! We are frustrated that this keeps happening and that we are paying for a service that we aren’t receiving right now due to the broken camera.

A co worker at the job had Vector in his house and raved about what his alarm system was capable of and recommended us the Vector as well. Happy with the alarm with the exception of one of the cameras was dropping out all the time. Just had a service tech out today. He seemed very knowledgeable and supposedly corrected the issue. Used to have ADT until starting having issues with the phone line then later decided to cut the monthly expenses where I could and the house phone being one of them since I work two jobs and not home very often there was no reason to have the home phone active since my cell is always on and with me. ADT was wanting to charge more than I was willing to pay for a wireless caller to the alarm station. Called around for quotes from other companies and Vector was the first to call so you got my business.

I had a service call at my home due to having an issue with my panel after a power outage. Vector called me promptly and set up an appointment for the technician to come out. Had our system installed today. John was here at 8 on the dot even though it was 2 hours from his home. He went over the location of every piece to be installed and he informed me how it would be installed. There was a lot of work here for him to do plus the 3 cameras. He finished our alarm in one day and came back the next for the cameras. He finished 2 of the 3 cameras that day. The third, he spent 5 hours, until 6:30 pm on that camera and could not get wire run. He explained situation to me and how frustrated and sorry he was but he could no longer try that day. He came back today finished the job rather quickly with the tips from another one of your installers. John, is a good tech and great guy. I loved his punctuality and that he said he wanted to treat my house as if it was his. This is our first security system and it was a great experience. Thank you!

Today we had a system installed by your technician John. Right from the start John went over the location of every piece of equipment and confirmed the location. He informed me of how and where he would install keypad. Muhammad the salesman even showed up during this process and helped confirm locations. Spoke with Danielle ** in service about 2 issues: 1. Replacing a sensor destroyed on living room window when tree crashed into our living room. 2. Had never heard or seen anything about Vector Security. A friend had recommended me to Vector and a salesman called. The decision to go with Vector was very easy as my friend had used Vector for serval years without issue and I may add also that the current security provider had several monthly rates increases over the course of 4 years really pushed me out the door. Vector has only increased once and it was only $1.50 added to the monthly bill and that was it.

I've had Vector for a long, long time and have been very satisfied with the equipment, responsiveness of service requests and the quality of the installations and repairs. I've recommended Vector to many of my friends and colleagues. If I were to move I'd call Vector to install my new system. Today Steve called be ahead of time which is not always the case with other repairmen. He immediately discerned the problem and fixed it and recommended the installation of more smoke detectors and checked all my sensors. Very nice man and very knowledgeable and efficient.

I have an account with Vector. I have tried numerous times to contact someone with a view to cancelling my service. They keep refusing to call me back. I would not recommend Vector. I have been a customer of theirs since August 2014 and this is how they treat customers. Not a happy customer.

Got Vector after a break in of my barn outside. Had the alarm for a long time. It's been working fine except for some issue with the phone line. The tech talked about getting the alarm upgraded to a new type that don't need a phone line but the price may go up a little more for the monthly and I have a fixed income so that's not something I want to entertain at the moment.

We've had the Vector Security alarm for a very long talk. I've got all my windows and doors done and smoke contactors upstairs and downstairs. I also have glass break detectors emotions throughout the house. I also have a keypad in the back and I press the buttons when I come in.

I felt very comfortable with the technician I had today for service. He did a great job. He called when en route. Once he arrived he quickly identified the problem and got right to work. I was wondering when my sign and decals would be replaced and was pleasantly surprised when I saw him walking around the house scrapping off old stickers and replacing with nice new ones. I like the new sign with my address in reflective numbers. What a great idea to help the authorities find my home faster.

Jeff ** of Vector installed NINETEEN things in my home over a period of three days: Heat, Gas, Smoke, Freeze, Carbon Monoxide and Water detectors and surveillance cameras and an SVR system. I am extremely impressed by the deft, technically excellent way in which Jeff addressed challenges presented by hardwiring various components most unobtrusively in my very old house, placing detectors, cameras and other operating components in ideal locations, and explaining to me at every step the reasons for his well-thought out choices.
He is amazingly adept at the intricate process of blending electronic protections into the portfolio of Vector Security protections already in place. And equally important, he is a respectful, extremely nice person, agreeable at all times (even after working in my sweltering attic on a summer day), and unusually considerate (endlessly wiping his feet and cleaning up every place he worked. This installation not only accomplished its intended purpose; it also taught em a great deal about the system we have had in place for years and its many elegant features and related tricks about how to maximize use of the Alarm.com website and Vector Security App. A great job by a great guy!

I chose Vector Security because my HOA has a contract with them. Everyone that I spoke to and worked with at Vector have been great. This was an install and it went very smoothly. I had one issue with arming the system from the app but it was resolved over the phone. It did take 2 calls to get it fixed but everyone was very nice and helpful.

The alarm we use to have by another service company that was already in the house when we moved in was already on and working but the alarm company was gonna charge too much to turn it in for active service so we called around for best quote and the sub contractor working under Vector alarm company was the lowest.

I wish I could give a negative 5 stars because not only is the customer service horrible, but the service is ridiculous as well. We were stalked by sales reps the week we bought our home. Then the day service was supposed to be installed, no one showed up. We had to wait a week before we had any security system set up. That was around the 25th of May. It's now June 21st and we STILL don't have what we paid for set up & installed. Even though they took our money. The tech to install the door bell yesterday didn't even bother to show up at all. People don't waste your money. It is a full out scam.

Been with Vector more than 25 years and since rampart. Mr ** was so helpful to explain things I needed to know. Always the best! I felt he was patient and completely knowledgeable about my system. He is friendly and helped me understand how I should handle resetting an alarm to find out which sensor is active to give the information to the technician.

Great service today at the tech provided great swift service. The tech came in the time frame described by the phone operator even calling before his arrival. The tech properly introduce himself before entering my home. The service did not take any time as it was only a battery replacement.

Do not give Vector your bank account info or credit card info. They steal money from you for no reason. They refuse to return it. They refuse to do what they said they would do, also. You cannot cancel even when they screw up. They were WRONG!! In 50 years of business this is the worst most dishonest company I have ever dealt with. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Excellent service! Our Development switched to Vector as part of the HOA. Phone assistance and technician have been wonderful. Always knowledgeable and helpful. Very efficient. I’d like to also mention that I have “assisted” many homeowners in this transition and Mr. Bill ** has been terrific! His work is very efficient and he has taken an interest in really caring. Today, I called for a verification of alarm monitoring document for State Farm Insurance. Document emailed by Holli and I copied it. This was a very efficient process, rather than mailing the document to us. Prior to having our system installed 10 years ago, we were burglarized. Vector Security is the security monitoring company of choice of The Valencia Palms where I recently purchased a beautiful home from the prior owner. Agata was instrumental in helping us transition Vector's service to my home from the prior owner to me. She was friendly, helpful, took the time to knowledgeably explain the process and was patient in answering all my questions.
Agata showed sincere concern for my needs and immediately followed through with e-mailing me necessary forms and material. Indeed in my second follow up conversation with her, she prepared and e-mailed a needed document to me while I was still on the phone with her! It is rare to receive such outstanding service from any company and I believe that she should be acknowledged for her exemplary work. I am thankful to Agata for her help and thankful to Vector Security for having employed her as a representative of their company.
