Vector Security Reviews

Our agency currently has a contract with Vector to provide PERS services. In recent times, the contract had expired and was not renewed with Vector until we reached out to see if still interested in contracting. The contract was renewed, but we received information that we should call first to see if can take on consumers. We have called and have been turned down. It seems that only certain areas of Indiana County are within Vector's service area. We do have Vector included on our Provider list for consumer choice.

My family was looking for a new alarm company and called Vector. They were prompt on response and answered all our questions quickly. Affordable prices and state of the art equipment. Install was quick and Adam explained every detail. He did not allow the rain to stop him from completing the job efficiently.

Jim was great with the upgrade. The process was simple and easy to learn. The app is convenient and easy to use for me and my family. Vector Security always has provided me with great service since 2002. Jim was running late and gave me a courtesy call, which was fine because I was running late too!

Vector Security protects all of the homes in our community (Valencia Isles in Boynton Beach). Installation of our security system components and set up of the monitoring service was done quickly and professionally. AGATA in customer service is very friendly and extremely helpful.

Always a pleasure dealing with Vector Security. Anytime I have an issue with my system, they send someone right out to take care of it. This time it was my smoke alarm battery, the tech came early, and changed the battery for me and tested it. I appreciate Vector for their quick service and helpful phone staff.

Great service, made information very clear and understandable. Very polite and was patient while I was understanding how to work the system. We wanted to upgrade our system and we called Simon and he worked us out a deal and I am satisfied and greatly appreciated.

I chose Vector several years ago because of reputation of the company, and because I had become disenchanted with Honeywell. The telephonic experience has been quite acceptable. Although need for service has been rare, when required, the technicians have been exemplary - timely with appointments, courteous, knowledgeable in their trade, presentation neat and clean. As the customer, I feel that attention is paid to what I have to say. I especially commend the tech who completed the service call today. Mr. Jeff ** gets my seal of approval.

Rich **, Installer, was very knowledgeable about Vector products, proficient in the timeliness of installation and very professional in appearance and demeanor. He is a valuable asset to the Vector Company and instills consumer confidence in the Vector brand name.

Chose Vector because of price and they are a local company. Natalie is friendly and explained the system very well. She answered all of our questions and responded to our emails in a timely manner. Evan was very professional. He did a great job installing and explaining the system.

We've been customers of Vector for 4 years and have been highly satisfied with the service. Wouldn't go to any other company. Jim was on time, was friendly, and informative. I’ve had Vector Security for years at my office and decided that I wanted it at my home residence as well. Vector was always great at my office and they always fixed any issues I’ve ever had. Devin was my installation technician, he was on time, and showed me everything I needed to know about my system. I am very happy with my install.

We are pleased with our system and our service. Reporting has been prompt when we have had an issue. Service has been prompt when necessary, Previous owner installed the system. We have continued to use it and have had some upgrades. The serviceman assigned to do most of our service has been descriptive and helpful.

I bought a house with a system already installed and decided to stay with Vector. Carl was very knowledgeable and efficient. He explained everything thoroughly after he was done and made sure I understood the system before he left.

We are under contract with them from the states of Ohio with the Ohio History Connection. The technician was very polite and showed up in a timely manner and answered all of the question I had for him when he arrived at the site for my service call.

Tech arrived on time, gave me a briefing prior to starting installation. The tech was very professional and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions and tested everything. He spent time making sure we were comfortable with the new equipment. I would want the tech to do all my work and upgrades. Outstanding service and professionalism.

The technician Ray, did a great job helping me with my security app on my phone today. He explained to me how to set up notifications so that I can get my recordings from my camera. He was very nice and polite, also professional and knowledgeable.

Vector Security met all of my needs as a security company. The technicians (Gary and Nathan) put things into terms that Not only me but I believe everyone could understand. Keypad is user friendly and easy to navigate. Remote access is as simple as pushing an icon on your phone. I have Vector for peace of mind, I love the fact that they come out regularly to inspect my carbon monoxide detectors so I know that we’re safe. Philip ** came out today checked all six of my detectors' batteries as well as tested them and took his time explaining to me in detail what he was doing. Awesome job.

The Technician, Donald was professional and friendly. He walked me through what he was going to do to repair the camera which was disconnected. Within a few moments he had the system up and communicating with the camera. Everything is working great again and I am very happy with the service. I am overall, very happy with Vector products and services. I have recommended Vector to some neighbors and family members. Thanks for the great service

Anthony came and installed my door lock and doorbell camera. He did a great job. He was very patient with me and showed me how it works with my phone and on the computer. Vector Security is great to work with. They make me feel safe, and are very accommodating with me. I enjoy my new upgrades!

We have been Vector Security customers for 12 years now and we have had nothing but good service by them. Of course equipment gets old and sometimes failures occurs, but they are always efficient and knowledgeable about the repairs when needed.

Recommended from a friend. Curtis was friendly and kind. He went above and beyond while he was here sharing information about the company and the products we would be using. He thoroughly explained the features of the products simply so that we were all comfortable using them.

My 5601P heat detector started beeping, and indicated that there was a problem with the battery. I went to replace the battery, and found it was soldered in and could not be safely replaced. Vector wanted $80 for a new detector, plus the cost of an installation. I declined (about $175 to remove 2 screws and change a battery???), plus Amazon carried the detector for $20. In fairness, Vector finally agreed to give me a free install, but I still had to buy the $80 unit. I went ahead and ordered the unit from Amazon, only to find that the battery/electronic module was not included. What no one at Vector seemed to know or to bother to tell me about was that the $80 was for the electronic unit (with battery) INSIDE the detector, not necessarily the physical body of the detector itself, which was still fine.

The technician Ray came out and installed my security system. It went great. He took his time explaining to me how my system works and how I can arm and disarm the system from my phone. He was awesome. This man needs a raise.

After completed of the job. It was great. Speaking with customer service was great experience. The call back was on time. The tech very mannerable and up to date on services, clean and direct and very professional. Good job by all departments. Keep up the good work.

Vector was referred to me through Jeff **. They were very professional and easy to work with. The installation was quick and the technician answered any and all questions asked. He was friendly and on time. I would refer them to friends and family. 10/10.

Vector installed our alarm system when we built our house some 15 years ago. Today's visit is for an overall system checkup. Steve is our service guy and he is very informative about the new products and technology. Steve gave us good advice in system upgrade.

As a new father and the very growing fear of home invasion, the safety of my wife and family was very important to myself have peace of mind while I was at work during my third shift. The technician arrived in timely and prompt manner for my limited time off and availability.

I have found Vector to be a very reliable resource for home protection and fire monitoring. The technical support is very helpful and the site technicians are able to handle a wide variety of issues. The call center is also very easy to reach when an issue requires assistance.

Nick was a wonderful, knowledgeable and polite technician. Promptly addressed and fixed my issue. He even took the time to show me some other features of the alarm. Extremely pleased with today’s call, and the fact he was willing to come here during the time I only had available.

Great service, fast installation, great technician. I chose Vector Security because my best friend has it and he showed me all of the great equipment and the touchscreen module and I loved it. I also picked Vector due to the excellent price they gave me.

When I requested service, I was appraised of the cost, for what I assumed was already covered in my contract. However, customer care gave me sufficient information, whereby I could make a proper decision on the varying services available. She further indicated that the assigned technician would give a more detailed account of what’s available, to include the cost. The technician arrived on time. He afforded my wife and me all we needed to know regarding our initial inquiry and more. We are very satisfied with his professionalism, etc. We would highly recommend Vector Security.

We had Vector Security at our previous home. With the help of my Dad Allen ** who works at Vector Security we were able to get a new system at our new home. We added window sensors and a doorlock. Josh the installer was recommended to install our system and he installed everything in working order. Vector called me to let me know my system had some issues, and followed up regularly. Jason came out when I finally scheduled an appointment and did a great job and took care of all the issues. Vector as always did a great job and I would highly recommend.

Our new home was fitted with an alarm system by Vector. We have used Vector as our alarm/security provider for the past 13 years. We have been very pleased with their services including monitoring, repairs, and technical service. We highly recommend using them as an outstanding company.

Highly recommended and trustworthy. He was patient with our questions and concerns and walked us through the whole process including the panels and our phones. Command center very responsive to issues, keeps us up-to-date regarding equipment and services that are available; very patient and thorough with explaination of equipment and how it works. Bill recognized some some vulnerabilities and made recommendations for additional services.

Today we had a small issue at our plant with two of our cameras. Vector was very quick about getting someone out to fix the problem and the service technician that came out was very professional and got the job done in a timely manner. Overall satisfied with the customer service!

The motion detector went off when it was set to stay, had the motion detector checked to make sure it wasn't failing. Also had the technician checked the backup battery. Discussed the option of upgrading to provide access to the mobile app.

Ray, the technician that came to install my new security system did an excellent job. I am very pleased with the new system we upgraded to. I love the way that my app on my phone works with the system.

I initially installed a security system through Security Associates who, during the course of my contract was bought out by Vector Security. Approximately one year after the switch to Vector I moved out of the residence and opted to terminate my service. Over two weeks since moving out of the house and more than three weeks from a tech coming out to deactivate the system, I continue to get calls from Vector at 1 AM or later informing me that the system is not sending a proper signal. Each time I have to explain that I no longer live there. I have never received any sort of receipt or notification of cancellation from Vector. I have sent multiple emails and made several attempted phone calls however have gotten no response or answer. Additionally, I am still being billed automatically my service fee for a system that is no longer active. I’m hoping this survey makes it to someone who can correct this.

Home had Vector previously. Installation was good and professional. Everything is working well. It would have been nice if the salesperson or the scheduler told me the approximate length of install (6 hours).

Needed to have security system. Checked with friends and one, Herbert ** told me how much he liked Vector. He showed me his system and I called to get information. I was interested and got answers to my questions. An agent came out and gave me information and a good price.

We have had Vector for at least 16 yrs now and have been so satisfied with the exceptional product to protect our family, pet and possessions. I chose Vector Security because the salesman and installed the original alarm systems when they worked at ADT AND DONE A GREAT JOB! So I contacted the salesman and found out he works for Vector now. He came out and gave the church a good proposal. The technician Nick was great! He was professional and knowledgeable. Very courteous and friendly. Overall, the Vector service so far is great!

I keep Vector because of days like this. Phil ** came out today to inspect my CO detectors, and check batteries. I expressed my concern at the rate the batteries are showing up low And explain how I’m rarely on site at this location so Phil replaced all the first floor and basement batteries and took the time to show me how to do it for future issues, thank you Phil.

Excellent service. Don was on time for the scheduled appointment, called 30 mins ahead of time to let me know when he would arrive, and was able to promptly diagnose and fix our issue. Very pleased with his level of service and would recommend him into the future.

Have been a customer for over 25 years. Always happy with the service they provide. They're prompt, efficient, and explain repair issues well. We are also always happy with folks who answer the phone when we accidentally set off the alarm.

Dave was out to both of are school today to install amber strobes to provide us with more of a notification on site if there is ever a issue with our heating system, he did a great job, on time and very professional.

The price and quality of the system with Vector. Service technicians are great in answering questions about the system and how everything works for your house. I suggest to others to go with the plus plan for labor and parts for your system.

Vector offered great customer service for most of the years that we utilized services. This last year, I was disappointed. Our system was ancient and we were never offered an upgrade. I was forced to research other companies when I received a noticed that cost was increasing 3.5%. Another company came in at a much better price.

Needed a call for my cameras not working. Service technician Nick was very knowledgeable of the cameras and the networking aspect. My router dedicated for cameras wasn’t operational, he moved system to my router programmed it and set it so the system always gets same IP address which in turn saves me money because I can cancel my static ip service!
