Vector Security Reviews

I was a customer for several years. We spent thousands on the hardware and monitoring. We own the hardware by our contract but they have a custom installer code entered and have locked me out of my own system. Even a full reset of the system requires their custom unlock code. A call to service and even the request for a manager goes unanswered. They want to charge me $150 to come out and type 4 numbers into the keypad. That fee was never disclosed and was never part of our contract. These people are criminals.

We moved into our Tallahassee home 15 years ago and are moving out of state to an area not covered by Vector. We are going to miss the comfort of knowing that our family will not be protected by the Vector Team.

Service tech came in and explained everything to us and went beyond and showed us more about the alarm system. The tech answered all of our questions. I also enjoyed getting help from customer service on the phone before they sent the technician out.

I have use Vector Security for many many years. They are a great company with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Today Dave did an outstanding job to diagnose and repair the problem with my driveway camera. He was courteous, neat, professional, and extremely cooperative and friendly. He is an asset to your company. I would rate my experience always with Vector as outstanding.

Very pleased with the install. The technician Rod was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I am very pleased. Took his time and explained how to operate the alarm and the alarm.com app. Definitely would recommend Vector Security to my friends and family based on today's experience!

I have been a very satisfied Vector customer for many years and I was very excited to find out that the doorbell video feature had been added. The entire process from calling to schedule the appointment to the installation and set up was a very professional and courteous experience. I would suggest Vector to my family and friends. I feel so safe knowing that I have Vector Security for my family and home!

Service was great, installation technician Curtis was excellent, friendly, and knowledgeable about the equipment; including the panel and app usage. He walked me through each piece of equipment and made sure I was well informed before leaving. I would recommend him anytime.

Every step of the way, from consulting to installation, this team was readily available at all times to answer any questions we had. We’ve had a Vector system for 19 years and have been very happy with service and professionalism of staff. Very few problems with the system over the years. Had a great service experience with Dale ** today in troubleshooting a defective sensor.

Someone actually came to my house. She was very nice and very knowledgeable about the security system. She was also very patient. It was an easy process. The only reason we are disconnecting our services is that we are moving. I will be back as soon as we get settled in.

When I was setting the alarm for the night, the control pad informed me that a window was open. Window washers had been at my home that day. I checked and didn't see an open window. I called the signal center and they connected me to technician who was on night duty. I was happy that they had a technician to tell me how to bypass that window and to set up an appointment for a technician to come within two days. The technician came on time and repaired the contact. He checked other batteries, including those in my smoke alarms and installed a third smoke alarm. I was happy how thorough the technician was and a feel that the problem was solved successfully.

I chose it because I had just moved to the area. It now proves to cost too much as I move forward an out of the houses. I now have an WiFi based security system. I had wonderful customer services since I I became a customer back in 2012.

I requested Vector Security after going through a divorce, leaving my home and wanting to feel safe living alone for the first time in my life. My research confirmed Vector Security has secured large fortune 500 companies thus I knew my home would be safe as well. I am moved to another apartment this week thus my security system moved with me and the installation process was just as seamless, fast and efficient as the first installation. I look forward to continuing with Vector Security even when I build my million dollar home and beyond!

Agata was great and provided the information requested very promptly! She was pleasant to communicate to and willing to help. Would recommend her to others and think she is a great asset to the company. She definitely deserves a 5 star rating!

Been a member of the Vector family for almost 30 years! Always on time. Always calls before arriving. Always very professional and knowledgeable. Has helped in just fixing the problem but also troubleshooting any issues and making sure the system is operating at 100%. Answered all my questions and if he didn't know the answer was able to call and get me the answer before he left.

The technician Eli was very knowledgeable & clear in his explanations. There was a goodly amount that was covered without a pause & in terms that I could understand. I will not remember all that was said but assured us we could call at any time to review information.

The alarm system was already in the home upon moving into the property so decided to give the installing company a call to see if it could be used again. The system has been doing well only thing time that had a problem once a kitchen motion detector battery ran low. Other than that the alarm had been ok. Had recent service from Dexter and he was very thorough at explaining the repair needed for the security system.

When I bought my house, it came with an alarm service called Nightowl. When I had the service reactivated for me (as opposed to the previous owner) the company had changed to Vector Security. I liked Vector Security so I accepted it. My experience has been great over the 20 plus years.

I choose Vector because of a faulty sensor. Technician Terry was timely. He fixed the window sensor. He explain to me of the company different contracts you have to offer. Terry is very knowledgeable and cordial. He showed me the proper way of changing sensors. Thank you for the opportunity to fill out this survey.

Today we had our security system/cameras installed. Rob did a phenomenal job installing everything in a timely manner. He works very meticulous and no messes are left behind. If you are in need of a home/business security system, Rob is the guy to trust. I would definitely recommend his services.

I have had service for five years and recently had representative review my system. At that time, I decided on new sensors and upon review I selected a service contract also. The representative returned and the upgraded service was installed quickly and efficiently. He also installed new outdoor signs. My wife and I were pleased.

The people in the central station were very helpful when I had problems with my motion detector. They arranged for me to get a technician and one came immediately and fixed the problem. We enjoy our home security system. And we have been helped every time we have had questions on it. Today we had Ethan and Matt working on our home security, installing cellular service and the alarm.com app. The technicians were professional and very helpful.

Called office for a problem on my keypad. Office told me how to resolve the error code. Office set up a service call for tech to install new battery. Technician replaced battery and clear error codes on my phone. Very good experience.

Great software interface to allow monitoring from a phone or a laptop. They were able to use some of our existing equipment to make the transition even more efficient. Terry gave me a courtesy call the night before to confirm his schedule. He quickly identified the issues and corrected. While here I asked him about Skybell and he arranged to have another tech meet him and install the same day. Excellent services as always.

Chris ** sold me my system in 2016. We still talk and our kids go to the same school. ADT tried selling so much that wasn’t necessary and Chris focused on what I actually needed. Vector has always been great.

(Turn on and off lamps, thermostat, let family members in, give others additional codes to the door, never have to have a key.) Checking from Mobile device is awesome using the app. Love it. Previously had another security alarm provider and the monthly continued to increase what seemed to be every year. Vector salesman were walking around in the neighborhood and came to the door with a newer alarm system with remote systems access which was great. The sales team was very professional. The service Dexter was very courteous and friendly. The alarm was been without issue and trouble free until the main keypad ran low.

Your service technician, Dave **, was very professional and knowledgeable. I showed him the door that I thought was false alarming, when he checked he found it was not that door false alarming, and show me which door was false alarming. Dave made adjustments on both doors, realigning both sensors, and informed me what he was doing. I also added another sensor, and discussing with Dave decided which partition it would be best on.

Does a good job and have Vector at other buildings we own. Very responsive to alarm and service calls. Repair calls are handled on a timely business. Would and have recommended Vector to other potential customers. All equipment seems to be up to date with current industry standards.

Vector Security is been our security company for over 20 years. I believe we’ve been very satisfied for those 20 years. Ray has taken care of all of our issues in the past several years and we needed him today to come out to do something special for us because we had a problem and he took care of it and we’re very happy.

I’ve have Vector Security for 13 years. I’m very pleased with how Vector has treated me and always there when I needed them. Ethan was my installation technician today and he showed up on time and greeted me with a positive attitude. He showed me how to use my phone to access my security system and was very knowledgeable about the phone app. He was a professional. We've been with Vector for many years. I've always received excellent service from the company and the service technicians. Recently I was having an issue with my burglar alarm. After an extensive troubleshoot Zack and Tony were able to determine that the problem with my system will require replacement. At first I was interested in replacement but after Zack explained the capabilities of the newer systems I became very intrigued. Good job Zack. Looking forward to seeing y'all soon.

Techs came in to install the camera system we requested. They walked in my office asking where we were wanting the cameras, I wasn't sure and Owner was not in office. So they immediately started looking around and discussing what were the best places to put them. When the owner walked in the door they had their equipment ready to go, he told them where and right to work they went. I was very pleased with the technician that came to replace the battery for the front door lock. He was very efficient, very professional, very personable, and completed the job quickly. Our install and service tech Aaron was great with he install. He answered all our questions and gave us a thorough walkthrough on the many features our new system can do. We’re very happy with the install and the features this system can do. Aaron was a great and useful tech.

My technician, David **. was great. He did a thorough inspection and even found a faulty motion detector and replaced it. He showed me a few things on my system that I wasn't even aware the system could do. Thank you David.

I had Vector at my previous home, however, had to move due to a house fire. I wanted to continue service at my new home. The salesman signed me up and did a good job. Nick showed up and was friendly, on time, and professional. He installed my new alarm system efficiently and was thorough in answering my questions and refreshing me on my new alarm system. Overall, Vector been good to me and I have no complaints.

I've recently moved to Florida and have been trying to cancel my service since 4/12/2019. I was charge for the month of May even though I don't live in the house anymore. TERRIBLE. I can't reach anymore at this company....just voice mails.

My interactions with the staff today has been top-notch. He came in and got right to work and fixed our original problem and cleared up other issues. If any suggestions, I don’t like it when I get a call from an unknown name only to find out it was the security system - that is a negative. Other than that, no issues with today. Glad my problem is served.

The alarm was installed from salesman that were walking throughout the neighborhood and were selling security systems for home thru a summer promotion. The sales team seemed knowledgeable and not pushy or overbearing yet rather peasant. Since we were in the market for security for the home we decided to give it a go. Haven’t had any issues with the alarm and are happy with the system.

We’ve had Vector for some time now. My husband did the research and made the decision to use vector. I’m not sure what the deciding factors were. I’m sure it probably had something to do with price and service. (It would benefit you to NOT have to write 40 words in this section. If it weren’t for Mike being so pleasant and efficient, I would not spend the extra time to do this.)

Employee was very nice, respectful and verbal with everything that needed to occur, everything he was going to do, and everything he did. I appreciate how expedient he was, Vector said that he was coming around 8-12 and he came at 0800 and he worked very fast to get the job done. I also appreciated that he checked on other things for the security system versus just focusing on the one issue.

I chose Vector Security because my son who is an employee referred me, today I had to have my security panel swapped out because it was malfunctioning, my son Scott was the technician that came over to install the new panel and update us on the new features and functions. Jon was able to come in and pinpoint the issue that the office couldn't see. He resolved the issue, cleared the faults and did so efficiently. He also went out of his way, to call the office and get zone information for an additional problem we've been having. He reviewed the documentation and supplied the additional information he received from the office to complete the request.
